I wasn't a YouTuber or anything. But I just went to one I wasn't I wasn't a youtuber or anything but I just went to go because I saw all of my friends like partying and like university and stuff and I felt really left out so I was like I'm gonna find my own LA parties and I went

and then we met oh my gosh we went to a party and who came up to who I went up to him because he said he's shy you're like he's really shy he was really shy back then and what was like your pickup line or were you not trying to pick him up I wasn't trying to pick him up I was like I don't remember I think I went up to him and he was like are you even 21 because i was grabbing a drink i love that he asked for the id and he said and i was like no are you and he's like no and i was like okay and we just drank our drinks that's so funny are you guys the same age no he's 25 and i'm 23 okay so he's like two and a half three years older than me okay okay i love that he asked he's like i think he was just trying to mess with me but i don't remember that's so

So you didn't go to like college or anything? I did. Oh, you did? Yeah. And I still like took classes up until like a year ago online. Did you go locally? I went to like a community college and then I did like Purdue University online. Oh my gosh.

I never ended up with my communications degree, but's what I was doing oh my what were you thinking to do with it you're just like let me do it for my parents I have like immigrant parents I'm Persian so like I saw that yeah which is so exciting and I feel like you do talk about it a little bit but not like that much I don't talk about it a lot now oh my gosh okay so I love this because I you sent me lacuna so I immediately was like maybe you're Russian you're so like ambiguous so you could be literally anything. Like Vanessa Hudgens is Hispanic.

You could be Russian like Mila Kunis. You could be whatever. And so Persian. Persian, yeah. I'm full Persian. And you speak Farsi. I heard you speak Farsi. I do speak Farsi, yes.

Did you grow up speaking it? Yeah, it was technically my first language. I learned English at like four. Oh my gosh. That is so cool. Thank you. Do you go to any of the restaurants around? Oh, of course.

Yeah, all the time. I love Persian food. I grew up, I didn't grow up, I worked at a lot of strip clubs in van eyes and they were all persian really yeah like customers so oh really yeah so interesting yeah so they'd come and i'd be like oh do you said that on you know oh my god and i would like learn it so much i was definitely like i had my like have you ever been to iran is that where you guys are from yeah from iran no i've never been do you know what part they're from yeah tehran the capital okay yeah because there's like I knew a lot of people from like Shiraz, which is more like sheep and stuff over there. You know so much. I was a big Iranian fan. Oh my God. Wait,

that means so much to me because I feel like, I think the reason I'm talking about it is because no one even cares to bring it up. They're like, Oh, you're bilingual. Cool. You know so much. You know what it is, is I didn't have culture growing up. So when I came to LA and I just like, obviously I have so many cultures and specifically the Valley had a lot of like Persians and the strip club had a lot of Persian people so I was just always fascinated I love it I like adapt into people's cultures and I thought the Persian culture is beautiful and I think Iran is like gets like such a bad rap people think of it as like Middle East and like scared but it's actually like really beautiful from what I've seen and heard oh my god I'm gonna start crying I didn't know you knew that much that makes me so

happy because no one knows about it it's cool and I hear like Tehran's like a lot like New York City. It is a lot like New York City, yeah. It's very like very up. But you've never, you've never. I've never been. Do you think you'll ever go over? I don't think so. My whole dad's side of the family lives there though.

It's cool that you're like first generation. Do you feel like with your parents coming over, have you like learned like work ethic from them or? I think for my dad, yeah. I mean, like he came here with like an engine he's an engineer but he had to start from nothing because it's America my mom has a psychology degree she can't do anything with it here so like they had to like work their asses off just so I could have a good life in America and did you like feel it like growing up were you like you know they never made me feel like I was poor growing up so I never like I look back and, oof, we did not afford like rent for months.

Really? They tell me now, yeah. But like, growing up they never made me feel that way. Yeah. So no, but looking back I'm like, geez, my dad worked hard. Yeah. Like so hard. To get over here is like so hard. You have to have like so much money saved up, the jobs, all that stuff. Are you close with, I know you live with your mom now. Yeah. Is your dad

Cause I'm so into that. I want to be vegan so bad cause I love Hinduism and stuff like that. And it's a big part of like Hare Krishna. It's like to not eat animals, but it's so hard for me. Yeah. I watched like this really fucked up documentary when I was like 14, 13. Conspiracy? I don't even know what it was.

I fell into a hole. Like a hole of them. And it like messed me up so badly. And then my mom made hot dogs that night. And I was like, I can't do it. And she's like, okay, it's going to last a month. And it's 10 years later and I'm still doing it. Wow.

And I'm like not someone that judges other people for eating meat either. I'm like to each their own. I wish I could eat meat because it's like I love a burger. Yeah. I was allowed to close the door because honestly I had so many like different friends growing up that they never thought anything of it if I brought a guy over.

It said you were 18, almost 19 and you show a video and you said where you're like, oh, I uploaded when I was eight, but the channel like doesn't exist or something like that. So you were like, so, but then your first official video was 19.

Yes. How did you, why did you start your YouTube? I started my YouTube because I was watching people like you, Shane, just like every YouTuber, Olga K. Oh my gosh. Every YouTuber, uh, Brittany Louise Taylor. Oh my gosh. Every YouTuber who was like, I Justine.

Then it got into like the O2Ls and stuff. But every YouTuber who was a YouTuber, I have watched, I have seen, I have subscribed to. Wow. So I was just like obsessed with YouTube the way people were obsessed with TV shows. And I was like, oh my God, that sounds so fun. Just like live your life and film your every day. Like I think my personality is fun enough where people would watch me. Right.

Kind of conceited, but like, I get it. But everyone thinks that. That's why I do it. I feel like everyone thinks that, right? Everyone thinks they're interesting. And so I just started. And then I stopped. And then I just started. And then I stopped. And then I started again.

How long did you stop for? I went back and forth. I started a little bit in high school again and then I took them down. And then when I met Jake, he told me to put them back up or restart. And I restarted. So when you met Jake, you weren't actively making YouTube videos. You had them. I had just taken them down a week before.

Interesting. It was really crazy, yeah. Why did you take them down? You just thought like this is... I started to get embarrassed. People from high school were like posting on their private accounts about me people who i thought were my friends i had a lot of friends growing up but like who i thought were my friends like posting on their private accounts like this is really cringe
