Are you one of those media strategy people clicking through slides, scrolling spreadsheets?
Yes? Good. This is for you. Because on Spotify, there's an audience that's different.
Locked in. Loyal, invested. They're called fans.
Fans don't just listen to music. They feel seen by it, like it belongs to them.
So when your brand shows up on Spotify, that's who you're talking to.
And you're right next to artists like me, Lizzo. So, are you ready to talk to fans?
Spotify Advertising. You're among fans.
Do Mormons believe in Jesus?
Yes, no, Mormons are Christian.
Oh.
Yeah.
Well, that's something you didn't know, right?
Like, really?
Who knows that?
No.
That's crazy.
That's cool.
I think anybody would want to, like, if you're not excited about it, why would you do it?
Well, unless the money is really good.
Right.
Well, you can do fun now.
Hold on now.
That's why I've got to go back now and watch and see how villainous you were.
Because I was like, Whitney was the villain.
And I was like, oh, my God.
What did you do?
That was so awful for people who don't know.
Like, why?
I don't know.
Oh, okay.
Well, there was.
Thank you so much to Arby's for sponsoring day's episode featuring their new Angus cheese sticks.
So excited to bite into one of their new menu items.
A different way to do meat and cheese.
Okay.
We were already talking so long.
I know.
Shut up.
He's like, let's us do the podcast.
You guys, welcome to Jess Trish.
We're here.
Oh my God, I can't believe I'm here.
We can't believe we're here.
I mean, we're gagged.
We couldn't like, I honestly saw you.
It was like, oh my gosh.
Then we saw Connor coming with you.
And Conner's like, I have magic cards.
I mean, can we save it for the pot?
I'm just like, this feels like a dream.
We're sponsored by Arby's today, which were Arby's girlies.
And I'm so excited.
I was like, this is everything and more.
And you're already such a key.
I'm so happy you're here.
Thanks for having me.
Oh my gosh.
Okay, so you're here in L.A.
Are you just doing like a bunch of press right now?
Yeah, like I have a bunch of different work things.
Some things will be announcing soon.
Oh my gosh.
Is it?
I'm like, I'm like, I'm like,
What TV film stage? What are we doing?
I mean, honestly, like, so we just launched our production company.
So I feel like we're, everything takes so long.
Can I say that? I hate that about that industry.
Yeah.
The development process of things takes forever.
So I feel like we're kind of doing a little bit of everything right now.
Oh my gosh. I love that.
Wait. How did that even start production company?
Like, are you guys, did you guys always do entertainment?
Like, all of a sudden you have a production house.
And I was like, wait, how did that happen so quickly, it seemed?
It had like always, we've been talking about it for a while.
But I was just so busy.
like with Secret Lives and then the Broadway show.
I was like, I want to be able to put my time and energy into this.
I mean, you just do it.
You just start a production company.
You pair with other people when you want to do a project.
And then you find funding.
And then you get a script writer.
And it's just, it's this whole process that I'm learning for the first time
because I've never done anything like this.
Wow.
I know whenever I'm in those meetings, I'm like, am I doing this right?
You're so amazing.
Am I saying the right things?
That is why.
That's what I was wondering, like, how you.
even like because you're the head of everything you're like cool sips you're in the season you're doing
all these stuff how how and what like what how do you know when pick and choose what you want to do like
which direction you want to go I think it's just like if I'm excited about it like if I'm not
excited about it then I think it's with anything like with a brand deal or even press
anything that I'm offered if I'm not excited about it like well that's not fun and I think
anybody would want to like if you're not excited about it why would you do it well unless the money
is really good right well you can do fun now hold on now hold on now
And you do do it all.
And we're so happy because I don't know,
I can't say what you did before this,
but you were doing something huge before this.
And I was like, oh my gosh, I love that you meet time
to come all the way out here to do this.
So we really appreciate because we've been trying for so long.
And then you blew up so big.
This past year, and we were saying,
we only started Mormon wives because of you.
I watched the last season because I was like,
well, I need to see the Whitney lore of dancing with the stars.
And what did you think?
What did you think of the show?
The Mormon Wormon Wives show?
Yeah.
I mean, fans?
Fans.
Honestly, fans.
I, even with all the drama,
I'm like, you know, we don't not love Dad Talk here, obviously.
We love Connor.
That's it, yeah.
Which you did say you had Dad Talk teen.
I want to know.
We've got to have a little segment with Connor here too because I want to know about that.
But the men are diabolical on the show.
But honestly, I didn't know much about all the other women.
Like I gravitated towards you because obviously the Dancing with the Stars, the Broadway.
Like all of it.
I was just like, she's living my dream.
I love this.
And it seemed for me, I was like, oh my God, it kind of not came out of nowhere.
We came out of nowhere.
And I was like, well, good for her.
You know what I mean?
So then I became obsessed with you.
And so I watched it for you.
But the other girls were so sweet too.
We were watching, I don't know, I don't know, the lore of all them, but they seem nice.
They all supportive, like, going to the airport, holding up science for people.
I was like, you know, you would never find that in California.
So I was like, they seem supportive, I don't know.
Except for your ops, of course.
And then, you know, we always, I'm biased, we have your back, so always.
I feel like we're having a dancing with the stars moment right now.
You've got the disco balls behind you.
We need Trisha.
Oh, Mike.
I've been campaigning my whole life.
We need it to happen.
Thank.
I would love, unfortunately.
never been asked we're talking to Connor. I'm like, are you going to be on a
Instagram? He doesn't say yes or no actually. He goes, I don't know. And he's like,
I don't know. And he's like, had they asked you. I was like, definitely not. No one's asked me. And
that's okay. I'll keep campaigning. I mean, we're on season like, I did say when there was
two Mormon wives. I was like, we could have just maybe one and I could come on. You know what I mean?
Yes. But I love that they're like, they pulled a little bit from the influencer world. I loved
that. They should do, they need to do more of that. Hence, we need you on there. I would love,
and I do love the whole different spin of it. If they asked, yes, but until then I just, you
You guys really brought it back though, the season you were on.
It really made it popular.
Why do you think that people were like, had this like resurgence for Dancing with the Stars
this past season?
I feel like it was because the cast really wanted to do it.
Like I feel like in the past, at least when I've watched it, I'd see stars on it where I'm like,
I don't really feel like you want to be here, which is not entertaining as a viewer.
But everyone wanted to be there.
Everybody didn't want to go home.
They wanted to win.
And then that like ups up the ante a bit more even as a viewer.
And then also being a point.
part of that was like, yeah, like let's go after this.
Like, I think that's more entertaining.
Well, you were like, yeah, you were pretty competitive on there too.
Like, you wanted to win.
I feel like I'd go on there and be happy to make it like a week,
but you were like, I want to win.
You really should have won.
You really should have.
My favorite part was your reactions to everything.
Like, when the camera would catch a reaction,
do you think, were those involuntary,
or were they like, were you like, okay, let me like keep it together?
No, like, I would have talks after with my loving husband
where I'm like, I just can't help myself.
Like, I just, it just happens.
Like, I just have that reaction.
But after every single show, you do, like, this PR press line.
So I feel like that was, like, boot camp for press because I wasn't very, like,
well-versed in that world, like, being media trained and everything.
But now I'm a professional.
So ask me any question, and I will answer it appropriately.
I would think, did you go through media training?
No, like, not, like, actual, like, sit-down media training.
But I feel like going around after every single show and talking to all those different outlets,
like I was able to like learn how you're supposed to answer a question that was like more appropriate.
I see.
So it was it was a press boot camp.
Okay.
So you kind of know because you do answer questions like so well now.
It's like, but you're a Mormon wife.
So it's like messy.
Are you a Mormon?
I am.
Oh, practicing?
I mean, I say that I'm Mormon, but I'm not like, I'm not Mormon like how I grew up Mormon.
Okay.
Yeah, like I, if somebody were to ask me what my religion was, I'd be like, yeah, I'm a Mormon, but I don't like, not letter of the law.
I see.
Yeah.
Mormon feeling.
It's like a feeling.
Yes.
It's like a practice.
Yes.
Like, I haven't got to church in a really, really long time.
Oh, okay.
Is that, do you have to do that as part of it?
Every Sunday.
Every Sunday we have church.
Garments are you wearing, the Mormon garments?
I'm not wearing garments.
I mean, just in general for church.
You can almost see my ass on this chair.
You're a modern-day Mormon, which is like kind of great.
ago. Yeah. I'm a modern day Mormon. That's a great way to put it. But Connor and I have talked about how,
you know, we might want to start going to church again. It's a great feeling too. Like I love going
to church and feeling the spirit and, you know, all the things. But culturally, no, I wouldn't
say like I'm your typical Mormon. Right, right. Did you like the Book of Mormon crossover that they
did with the Mormon wives? Did you see the TikTok? Yes. Where they did it to your guys' theme song.
Like for the Tonys? Yes. I said, why was I not invited to be in this?
That's why I thought you were going to be there because you were there.
I know.
I wish they would have invited me, but it was funny when Connor and I were going backstage for a rehearsal and I had seen them.
And I was like, oh my God, like, we're the same religion.
And like, I don't think they, like, really knew who I was.
I really don't.
Oh, you think someone just told them to do this to the sound?
1,000%.
I really, I don't know if they know the lore.
And somebody just said, hey, walk to this sound.
I don't know, though.
Don't quote me on that, but they definitely didn't know who I was.
Wait, really?
That is so funny.
So do you think, I wonder what they thought.
They're just like, oh, Mormon fanatic.
I know.
And then like after I told Connor, I was like, I need to not be here.
That's me all the time.
Yeah, I just like, but that was everything, the Tony Awards.
It was amazing.
No, you guys, it was so cool.
My first rehearsal, I go in and Pink is there.
And she goes, hi, like, my name's Alicia.
I'm like, you don't need to introduce yourself, first of all.
And just sitting down like next to all these Broadway stars,
singing these songs like that right there I honestly was like more invigorating than the actual
Tonys because I was like this is everything and more like okay who are you like seated next to for
rehearsals um so have you seen Titanic of course um what about um two strangers carrying a cake
cross New York yeah and that one girl who won the Tony um she's in lost boys she plays the mom
in lost boys she was in the room too like it was just I literally was like one of it yes yes
I was like, what am I doing in here?
I can't imagine.
It was overwhelming because I definitely felt auto play.
I was like, okay.
When do we dance?
Yeah, because you were in two numbers.
You were the opening number and then you were in the Chicago number.
Was there, did you dance at the shot?
No, you were just doing the opening, the pop six.
Yeah.
I mean, I did a little like TikTok thing, but like we didn't really need to rehearse for that.
I got that TikTok moved down.
Did they tell you to do it?
You threw it in there?
No, they told me to do it.
They're like, because they wanted all of them.
They're like, we want you to come up and then do this.
And I was like, oh my God.
Oh, because that's the.
It's the mom talk move.
It's the mom talk move from like our iconic like, yeah, dance that we do on it.
And so you're just, you happily obliged.
You're like, oh, no, I don't want to do that.
You're like, all right, I'll do that.
You know, sometimes cringe is great.
Yes, it is.
It is, it really is.
No, when you're singing some point when you, like, because you had a solo in the opening of
the 20s numbers, is someone like helping you with that or you just like, no.
You just do it.
You just go out and do it.
Oh, no.
Somebody definitely was queuing me on the side, like when to go on because there's so many moving
parts to a number like that.
And so many people that need people to tell you what to do, where to go.
so it was really cool to see the behind the scenes of how you make something like that happen.
But no, somebody who was with me at all times being like, and five, six, seven, walk.
Wow.
And it was like, oh my God, like.
And Mike was on. It's live and everything.
Mike was on.
It's live.
Actually, I held a mic, right?
Yeah, no, I held a mic.
Wow.
Yeah.
Oh my gosh.
And Chicago live.
You did.
Chicago.
A 12 weeks?
Yes.
Oh, my gosh.
Eight shows.
So that's eight, what's the math?
Do you how many shows you did?
It was a hundred.
I don't know.
Well, Connor is that.
We keep Cuban.
Connor, you're literally doing the man.
How much? 106?
96.
96, almost 100.
Oh my gosh.
Connor said you called out of two.
Okay, so 94.
Two is crazy to only call out of two.
It's wild.
On our show, like, Beetlejuice, I think we had like four different beetle juices in my three,
we run because they were just always, like, calling out because everyone was always getting sick,
I guess, because it's, like, cold and they're singing so much.
I'm so mad and good to see you in that.
How was that?
Oh, it was great.
I mean, I had, like, a very small part, you know what I mean?
But I loved it.
That's what I was telling Connor.
I was like, I don't know how you did it.
Like in every scene, singing all this stuff like that for eight shows.
Like I don't know.
My voice gave out and I had three lines.
So I don't know how you were doing it.
I think like, I mean, I've definitely learned more since doing it.
But the hardest part was like being excited to continue to do it.
Because you're doing the same thing every single day that you're like, okay, well, how do I get excited to like go out there and like do it again?
That was the hardest part for me.
And theaters, like they're very small.
like the backstage of it, like there's usually no windows.
No.
And so you don't know what like time it is.
You're in this like different world.
It can be such time.
It doesn't exist at all.
Which is great for a theater goer because you go and escape for a night.
But when you're doing it every single night, going back to Chicago, you're just like, oh my gosh, this is a lot.
How did you hype yourself up?
I think I just like, well, first of all, my cast was incredible.
I miss them and I love them so much.
That was like the hardest part of ending my run was them, honestly and truly because I'll never like hang out with all of them like that ever again.
but we'd always like you know try and make someone break or say and fluctuate a different line or
something to like kind of throw the other person off because sometimes those lines can become so
mundane and repetitive that you're just saying it and not really remembering what you're saying
you know what I mean so we'd say it a bit differently and it's exciting because then it keeps you
on your toes and sometimes someone will call out and then you get a new person like you just try
to find ways every night to like keep it exciting and how long did it take you to train for to like
do the show
Well, it was funny because during Dancing with the Stars, I would audition, take lessons, sending in tapes, really, like, trying to fight to get this role, take this chance on me.
But actual, like, rehearsing in studio was four weeks.
Wow.
I think it was four weeks.
To learn the whole show?
Connor went like this.
Six.
Slow.
Oh, my gosh.
Six weeks.
Thanks.
Great.
That's that stuff.
Oh, really?
You learn that whole show.
So how does that work?
Because there's so much dancing with the stars
to Chicago pipeline.
Like there's so many people.
I feel like there is.
Like, let's see, we had Rumor Willis,
Ariana Maddox.
Lisa Rina.
Lisa Rana.
Erica Jane.
Was she on dancing with the stars?
I don't know.
Yes, she was.
I feel like she was.
Erica Jane.
I feel like there's one other.
Hamer Anderson was dancing with stars to Roxy.
Yep.
So do they go because Elaine Hendricks,
a lot of people had thought of two to be Roxie.
So do they go to the show and like ask,
who wants to do this or?
No, it's like, I think they just.
Just, I mean, the goal always is to, you know, you're seeing somebody perform on this platform.
You want to see if they can perform on this other platform and if they can get an audience to come and support them and, you know, keep the show running.
So I think, yeah, I think they maybe just saw me on Dancing with the Stars and was like, well, it was funny because after we did Hamilton, Derek, one of the judges was like, get these two on Broadway.
and then literally that next week
that's when they were like, hey, like, would Whitney
be interested in auditioning for this role?
And I was like, oh my God, this is so cool.
Absolutely, yes, I can't sing, but let's do it.
Wow, that is crazy.
But you sang before or no?
No.
Like, I would not consider myself a vocalist,
but from that time, literally that day,
I set up lessons with Eric Vitro here in L.A.,
and I would meet with him.
Any chance I could get while doing Dance with the Stars
just to, like, like, grasp any, like, sort of vocal.
that I have.
It was a lot, but he's an amazing teacher.
Well, people thought you were lip syncing.
I know.
The one of you on the ladder, the funny, honey.
Everyone's like, this is lip synced.
And that's the best compliment ever, I would assume.
Oh, thank you.
And you brought people in.
Because Chicago has been on, what,
is it 30 years?
Is that what they were celebrating?
30 years.
And it's, it is an older one, right?
So it's like not for like everybody or whatever.
It's kind of like, you know,
it's kind of like one set of outfits and like,
but you really, you broke all the records.
Like, what was it?
Like, how many weeks in it was like the number?
It was like the number one that sold out all these shows.
Yeah, I think it was, let's see.
So, yeah, I broke the record and then Mark came in and then we broke it again.
And then I'm pretty sure our last week we broke it again.
The end of your run, it's still like the biggest.
Oh, my gosh.
Like people wanted to hurry and get out before it was over.
That's so wild.
Oh, my.
Because the show's just been on forever.
And, you know, shows closed all the time.
I think Phantom may be last, I don't know, maybe that was 30 years, maybe not.
It's like, it might be one of the longest running shows, right?
It is. It is the longest running.
Yeah, I know.
Above like cats and phantom and everything.
Yeah.
Would you ever go back again?
I feel like if I did, I would want to play Velma.
And then it would be cool to like play Roxy with like another celebrity.
Like I feel like.
I feel like that would be pretty iconic.
Oh my God, that would be everything.
Have anyone done that?
Have anyone done Roxy and Velma?
No.
Another record you could break, just doing all the roles.
Okay, perfect.
Put it on the list.
Oh my God.
Because I was asking.
I was like, where are you guys going to be like settled?
And I was like, we kind of don't know.
maybe in New York, maybe LA. Do you have any thoughts?
I feel like we're figuring this out in real time, but I feel like my kids are getting older
where they can't follow, like, mom, where her projects go.
And especially my oldest, she's six now.
And she, like, she wants her friends in the same school and, like, stability.
So I feel like I need to, like, find that base camp and then wherever the job goes, like,
mommy's just going to have to go and then come back.
So I don't know yet.
So it could be anywhere.
Well, the cool thing is, is like, with the job you do, it's everywhere.
You know what I mean?
And everyone travels.
So you could be based anywhere if your family's in Utah, LA, wherever you want to be.
Yeah, we'll probably end back up in Utah because, yeah, next to my family, like, I'm going to need their help.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Because even Connor, like, Connor's been booking some stuff, too.
I know.
You're getting busy.
How is that?
Because you guys did the big thing before this.
I might be out.
No, ours comes out.
Do you know when yours come out when that thing comes out?
Did they tell you?
What thing?
The thing this morning that you did?
Oh.
I think it comes out like in a couple weeks.
Okay, well, wait, because this comes out next week,
but it was like a big thing and you guys did it together.
I appreciate this comes out before.
Yeah, I wanted to come out tomorrow.
I was like, let me give it a minute.
Let me get any notes.
I would push it out tomorrow.
I need this out today.
How is it doing stuff together as like a couple?
It's the best.
Like, it's really exciting.
And obviously, you know, like we motivate each other to like go after things that we probably
like normally would never think would be possible.
Like the production company is a perfect example.
Like I'm telling you, when I'm saying,
sitting in these meetings. I'm like, I don't know if I'm, like, I'll give them a pitch.
And I'm like, I don't know if that's, I googled it. And I hope that, I hope this is right.
Oh my God. That's amazing you've gotten like all this stuff from just like literally just throwing it out there and just,
because your Christmas movie is that coming out this year? Yes, it's coming out in November.
I'm so excited for it. You're literally living my dream life. Like Christmas movies is like all I've ever
wanted to do. Okay. Hold on now. Because you did Broadway. You were in euphoria. Yeah. Okay.
but like, hold on, yes, yes.
But it's not, it's, you know, yes, you're right.
I'm very, like, thankful.
But you are, like, blasting it.
You're, like, starring in these movies, producing in these.
Like, you're really, it's inspiring.
And I think that's why, like, gravitated so much when you were doing all this stuff.
Because I was like, damn, she's really getting.
It was, like, one thing after the other.
We just kept seeing all the stuff you were doing.
And then when I saw the Christmas movie, I was like, how, is this, like,
lifetime?
Is it your production?
Like, what is?
So, yeah, it was mine and I partnered with somebody else.
And we had just sold it to a network, which I can't wait until we can announce that.
Oh, my gosh.
But it will come out in November.
Do you know who, Jesse Cove is?
Maybe if I knew the face, I'm like the bad names.
So he is, do you watch Cobra Chi?
Cobur Kyi, anyone?
On Netflix?
Yeah.
Yes.
Okay.
So the, or karate kid, the bad sense.
It's his son.
Oh.
That was my co-star.
Oh, the original karate kid.
Yes.
Oh, my gosh.
The bad sensei.
Okay.
But he's also in Cobra Kai.
Okay, okay.
So he was the co-star.
How did you get that?
So you're like putting this all together.
Are you doing the pitch?
Are you reaching out?
Well, it was definitely more of the other production company because they're more well-versed
in this world and I'm just like kind of along for the ride and learning the ropes for the very
first time, which is also, I think, really exciting being in the media and like people following
that because we don't really get to see that.
We don't really get to see people like figuring this out for the first time.
You usually see once they've already done like four or five movies or films or whatever
it is.
But yeah, they casted it.
you know we went over the script a lot and then saw the final edit and then finally put a pitch
together sold it to a network oh my god it's been it's been an adventure i love it and i'm like oh i want to do
more of this wait were you acting like in school because i know you danced in college stuff so we were
acting as well well it's funny like acting was always the goal like i always wanted to do broadway
and acting there was like this ticot i'd made that resurfaced after my first after i had my first
daughter was like doing a little dance with her and in the caption it was like my dream
was always to be on Broadway.
It was like how cool, like, five years later, like, I'm actually doing that, but I just,
I don't know, I just never thought it was possible.
Like, I feel like dancing with the stars, like, gave me that delusion where I was like,
I think we might be able to do what I've always wanted to do.
That is wild.
It's insane.
Yeah, it was like instant star maker.
I feel like, I mean, you guys are obviously big, but, like, as a collective, and then I
think you really just, like, broke out from everybody else, which maybe was the point of
contention for some people.
I can imagine, you know, you do see, you know, someone doing such amazing things, which is, like, really impressive.
So you, so you, okay, so you acted in school and then you went to college and then did you just become, do like the mommy thing, like, right away?
Yeah, so culturally in Mormon religion, like, I very much had, like, that very newlywed Mormon life, Connor and I, like, we got married in the temple, we had kids.
I was a stay-at-home mom.
Connor had a 9-5.
And I just remember just, like, being at home with my kid, and I was like, I just, I'm just not happy.
Like, I miss doing what I was going after.
So how can I do both simultaneously?
And then I was introduced to social media, and then I started making TikToks.
Then I got into Mom Talk.
And then I was like, I'm on a reality show.
What is going on?
This was never in the works at all.
Like, never in my plan.
And never, how this, like, path has, like, panned out to where I am today was, like, never how.
how I envisioned it in my mind.
Like that reality even came into my life
because I always thought
it would just be straight to
scripted television. So
it's been fun. I was going to say it because the timeline
because you said it was five years ago when you did the TikTok
and now, I mean, that's fast.
That's like such a fat, like with all the stuff you've done.
But what is the timeline from doing mom talk
to doing your first TikToks to the reality show?
Okay, so mom talk
was like, I want to say
it was like two, it's like a year
and a half to two years.
But then we were talking about it, but then Taylor got arrested.
So we had to put it on pause.
Okay.
The first time, the first season was on pause?
Yes.
We shot the pilot.
Oh, okay.
We had to wait a year.
Oh.
Which, honestly, though, blessing in disguise.
Yeah.
Because that, we took a step back and we got to add to the cast.
So that's when, like, because before it was just me, Macy Michaela,
de me and Taylor.
It was just us.
Wow.
But then we added more to the cast,
took a step back, added more,
which I think it needed.
Like, I don't think it would have been strong enough
with just us five.
Interesting.
Anyways, it was what they were getting into.
If it happened before the first season even started,
it wasn't like a shock to anyone.
Okay, so they were appreciating of like the messiness of it all.
Oh, for sure.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Okay.
Were you part of the swingers at all?
No.
Okay.
Who was in that?
Because that was before the reality show.
That's just Taylor.
Yes, it really was just Taylor and Miranda.
but Miranda wasn't in the first season.
Oh, Miranda?
Miranda was in it?
In the swinging scandal?
Yes.
And her, well, now ex-husband, Chase.
They were all in the swinging scandal together.
But it was funny because I think everybody, yeah, soft.
Sorry.
I don't want to be like they were swingers.
Yeah.
But everybody, I think, just assumed that it was all of us.
Yes.
Because of the virality of how it was put out there.
I was like, well, hold on now.
Hold on.
Did people come to you?
Because if you were doing those TikToks where you're like moving back,
people are like, they're the ones.
Do you know what I mean?
Like, they were doing it.
it. Were they accusing you of it? Oh, absolutely.
And are you just ignoring it? Are you trying to play
along with it? Like, I don't know. No, I played along
with it. I was like, oh my gosh, you guys, no.
Oh, my God. Not me.
Yeah. Because were you like, were you pregnant at the time that was
happening? The swing of- I had
I had just had my second child
and then we all got together like two weeks later.
It was like my first like, oh my God, like I got invited.
Like it was like, it felt like that.
Like you got invited to this event.
Like it felt very much like me and girls. Like, oh my God,
like you get to sit.
with us kind of buys.
Yeah.
Who invited? We got invited.
Who invites who?
So Miranda invited me to the first one.
I feel like the first like
the OGs were Taylor,
Miranda, and
Camille, which she's not in
the show, but she was part of that.
I'm sure if I showed you a picture, you would have seen that.
Yeah.
Are they two blonde girls?
Yes, and she was the grandma. Yeah.
Well, Taylor was the grandma.
Right, and they were the daughters.
The daughters. Yes. I remember me like, she looks so
good for 50. I was like so, I really
thought she was. That was crazy.
She started it though, honestly.
Like, okay, got it, all right.
So they were the original.
Correct.
Got it.
And then, so I think, like, you got to get invited by, like, an OG.
And I got invited by Miranda and I was like, oh, my God, like, this is happening.
I need it.
I get to sit with them.
And then literally, like, two months later, this whole swinging scandal happened.
And then it just, like, it went to show for that.
Well, then you got a show from it, I guess.
Yeah.
I remember when that all was happening.
Yeah.
Wow.
What a crazy crazy pipe.
Well, you talk about being a mom.
you were getting, like, you weren't getting criticism.
Some people criticized.
They were like, how is she moving to New York with three kids?
It's like, what do you say to people?
Because I relate so much to you as well, where it's like being a mom is great,
but if you have other ambitions, you should go after them.
So what do you say to people who, like, criticize being a working mom?
Well, I feel like times are changing.
Like, I feel like if I didn't have Connor in my life,
I wouldn't have even been able to figure out how that even works.
because yeah I've got three kids at home like my youngest is a year and a half years old like
they need a lot of attention but I also have Connor yes he's helping too
dads are also part of the picture that part let's remember that so like yeah like without him
yeah I don't know how I would be able to do it but people who also don't have that they figure
it out and they make it work and I think that like let's just like uplift that more yeah and
rather than like tear people down for it maybe it makes well not maybe I think
think it makes other people feel better when they do that.
That's true.
If they don't have the support.
Because I think secretly they want to do it.
A thousand percent.
Yeah.
Who doesn't?
I mean, some people maybe just are happy with that too.
But I think the people who want to do it, some people don't have this work.
Because it takes a lot of us too.
Like I have obviously Moses and my mom.
But we also have like help, you know, because you can't do it all with just, you know.
And some people can.
And that's really good.
Like if you can do it all about yourself.
But it's, it's not easy.
I saw it was on this last season, right, where you were like breaking down.
You had like guilt over not like seeing them for dancing stars.
How do you.
How do you, like, I guess, keep going through that or how do you, like, reconcile yourself with him?
I feel like it was still Connor.
Like, even in that scene when I've seen clips of it because I don't watch the seasons anymore, I like, Connor and I don't.
Like, we just, like, I don't know.
It's just, it's not healthy.
It's triggering.
Yeah.
It's like, I've already lived this.
I don't need to live it again.
But I feel like having somebody in your life is just like, you're doing great.
They love you.
Like, look at them.
They're happy.
Like, they're not.
Like, this isn't something.
that you need to think that you're a bad mom over.
Easier said than done.
Because even, like, those thoughts still come, like, today.
I'm just like, oh.

How do I?
Because we can't do it all.
I wish I could.
Yeah, I think mom guilt is real.
People always tell me online that, like, if you even think you're feeling bad about being a bad
mom, it means you're a good mom.
Like, if you even have the feelings, like, I'm not doing enough for my kids.
It means you're doing a lot.
I love that.
Yeah, it was really cute.
Then I'm a great mom.
Yeah.
Well, we heard your daughter is already, like, wanting to dance and so inspired by you.
you and entertain.
Oh, my God.
After this, I have to show you this video.
Because Connor took the kids to a magic shop the other day.
And they got to pick out a little trick.
And she, like, I have to show you the video.
She, like, did this whole trick for us.
I was like, oh, my gosh, are you a magician?
She goes, yes.
Oh, my gosh.
Yeah, at six.
I have to show you that.
It's adorable.
It's adorable.
Oh, my gosh.
It's crazy.
So she's, like, picking up on both.
It's like.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Oh, my gosh.
What are your plans for this year?
You said you have announcements.
Can you share anything?
The new season filming.
Like anything.
Oh, you mean like of secret lives?
Anything.
Secret lives your life?
I feel like, yeah, like, feel like this is like the year that I'm like stepping into what I've always wanted to do, which is really exciting.
It's a lot of work, but it's exciting.
And I'm excited too because I want to like share more of that process of getting into this industry.
Because just because I've been in Chicago and I've broken.
all these records and whatnot, like, I still get rejected all the time.
Like, I still am auditioning like crazy and you have to like, I'm still trying to figure out
how to process that as an actor where I'm just like, oh my God, like, so exciting.
You get this audition, but then you go and you put it on tape and they're like, well, like,
you know, they went with somebody else.
They're like, oh, okay.
But then here's the next one.
And you have to find ways to stay motivated and it can be very weary and, um, unmoving.
motivating when you're constantly getting rejected.
But that's why I also wanted to start a production company,
because it felt like I could have a little bit more of a creative control in believing in myself
where I'm like, okay, well, then let me make my own movie, and I'll show you how well it does.
That's what you got to do.
Put yourself at it.
Yeah, but there's a lot of stuff like that happening this year.
Scripted, unscripted, unscripted.
Unscripted.
I thought like this was it, the last season of Mormon Wise was your last season.
Whoops.
It is done with Secret Lives of Mormon Wists.
Maybe something else.
I don't know.
Oh, gosh.
Is there a reality to kitty?
We came right here.
Are we filming now?
I was hoping.
I was like, oh my God, wait.
I was thinking, I was like, wait, are they going to be filming?
Oh my gosh.
Are you, so you would be open to doing more unscripted.
You're not like, stop looking at me.
No, like, I just like, it's so much in my nature to share my life.
Like I, and I love that about me.
Like, I don't want to, that specific.
you know, ensemble and show that I was a part of.
I feel like I have grown out of that.
Like, of course, like, there's still my friends.
Like, I'm sure I'm going to pop in every once in a while.
But yeah, like, I still love unscripted, like, dancing with the stars or traitors.
That's why I got to go back now and watch and see how villainous you were.
Because I was like, when he was the villain.
And I was like, oh, my God, what did you do?
That was so awful for people who don't know.
Like, why?
I don't know.
Oh, okay.
Well, there was, I didn't show up to an event that,
I had even told her that I wasn't going to show up,
but she was still upset about it.
And then what was the other thing?
Oh.
What?
Oh, and then I showed up to an event that I also was invited to.
So they were mad when he didn't show up and then they were mad when I did show up.
Yeah.
Damn, you just can't win.
You really can't.
Oh, my gosh.
What was it like then for like season four with the perception to really like shift
and like the fans like really rally behind you and comedy?
that must have been like pretty validating then right yeah it was very validating i feel like
seeing me in a different light like really helped that like with being on dancing with the stars
like that's performing in that way like that changed my life because that's again that's like i
love dancing singing acting and that like gave me the platform to do that and then i think people
just saw a different side of me where they're like oh she's fun she's exciting um but it was very
validating because I'm like wait but like we're really fun we're a good time the support too I
think seeing the contrast between you guys and just awful the awful guys on there oh my god that was
the most shocking thing to me is just like how are they giving dad taco platform I guess they
probably won't anymore right in the following seasons I don't know I would be shocked if they
did though yeah because I the fans also don't want it you know nobody wants it I think they're
listening where did it pick up where did it pick up for can you say like where it started
filming for you. Are they filming? Because it kind of ended with the dancing with the stars, drama,
you getting Roxy, and then it kind of like ended. Do they show your time in New York?
They show a little bit of my time in New York. But then when they went back, that's when
everything happened and we stopped filming for a little bit. But we're back again. So you'll see,
you know, more of that finishing out that season, which will probably come out in the fall.
I don't know exactly when, but. Oh, this fall. I can literally feel my publicist is saying,
Shut the up.
Remember how I was like,
I know what to do.
I've done the wrongs.
That's bad.
Let me just shut up.
You're gonna edit whatever you like.
Wait, that's so T though because
and like mentally how is it for you?
Because it's like as an outsider, like obviously not even like being a part of it.
I'm like this is a lot.
Like watching the show was a lot.
Obviously all the drama that was happening.
I was a lot.
I was like how is it for you guys to just like, I guess for you specifically?
Like it's like, oh, filming, pausing, filming.
And you also are like in the midst of like your biggest.
moment of your career so like how are you mentally dealing with it all am i allowed to say
connor again i want to share you want to do a little chair share come over here we do
yeah we do need yeah oh my god i keep mentioning you you might yes you guys we have a little
chair share moment okay you look amazing we love you wait this is everything right they're so cute
okay yes we have so many you should have worn pink yes we i'm in the united states okay yes love that
Connor's going to help me answer these more PR appropriately.
Okay, yeah, I love that you know everything too.
Are you guys working, do you guys like work together at all?
Are you ever like deferring?
Because I defer to Moses all the time.
Like talk to Moses about it.
Are you doing that?
Or no, you're kind of just.
No, we do.
Okay, so you guys work together.
This is like my hubbager.
Yeah.
I love that.
Okay.
I love it.
Because the production companies is your eyes is together.
Yes.
Okay.
Yeah.
So, okay.
So you guys picked up with the, with the filming and where are you guys at now as far as
filming?
It's not.
It's not.
It's not completely.
wrapped yet. We just going to finish out the season, which will finish soon. And then that will be
my last one. They've cut the season short, five episodes only. So they're having everyone go back to
basically do interviews, wrap up a couple of things. And I think that'll be a very abbreviated season
considering all the things that happened publicly. Oh, that's where I was going to, where I was
going to ask you, like mentally, the well-being of you guys. How is that doing? I feel like we're just like
we've removed ourselves so far from it, like even physically, that I feel like it hasn't affected us
as much as it may have other cast members. Yeah. I think geographically being, oh, hey,
sorry, we have three mics. Geographically, we felt separated too. Like, as all this stuff was
happening, we were in a totally different location. So people didn't really even ask us about it. So when
stuff was kind of unfolding in real time, people were kind of catching us up. So I did feel very far
removed from it and we were so focused on Chicago and so focused on what we were going to be doing
next. Yeah. That it just kind of felt like we were here to support people who need the support
and we want to be an listening year, but we didn't necessarily feel like we had to figure
anything out because we weren't necessarily in the thick of it. Yeah. And how are they, how are you
now with Mom Talk in general? Are they like, because you guys are so separated? Do they feel like you
abandoned? Are they still really like support? Oh, this is they all came to Chicago, which was great.
But so are they all supportive or is that just for show? No, it's, I mean, I hope it's not just for sure.
I mean, I feel the support.
Okay, that's good.
Yeah, no, I feel like this is like literally the first time ever.
I'm like, wow, I'm good with everyone.
Oh, amazing.
Yeah, it's a breath of fresh air.
No drama.
No drama.
And you keep in touch with everybody.
Yeah, like as much as we can because, like, not only are we so busy, but all of them have other things that are going on too.
Like, Jen's with the OC.
Miranda's coming out with this song.
Jesse's on this dating campaign.
Marciano.
I'm glued to this, though.
I know.
It's for the new Jesse 3.0.
I know.
She looks so happy.
She looks so happy.
She looks so happy.
And that makes me happy.
Yeah.
Like I love, yeah, I'm so happy that she's happy.
But yeah, like they're also busy.
We're busy.
So I feel like we just try and keep in touch as much as we can.
There was actually a sweet moment in, what was it?
Layla, Jesse, and Miranda were in New York for a Hulu event and caught my show.
Yeah.
And then we all went to dinner after.
They're like, we're all in like, I'd say really good terms.
Like they came out and supported Whitney.
They came and saw my show.
We all grabbed dinner.
Wow.
Stossi was there too.
Stossi was there as well.
Oh my gosh.
Yeah, it was a lot of fun.
We had a lot of crossover there.
I do love the whole synergy of it all.
I know.
Dad talk in the picture with you guys.
Are you out of Dad Talk officially?
I never really thought Dad Talk was real.
Well, it was.
There was merch.
There was merch.
There was merch.
I feel like, I generally feel like Jordan was trying so hard to
make it a thing.
Yes.
And so the other dads just kind of like showed up, but I don't think they were as passionate
as Jordan was.
Like I feel like, I mean, correct me if I'm wrong.
That's my take on it where I feel like all of the other dads are like, sure.
No, I think that was right.
I mean, we all had like a good laugh making that one.
We made one or two TikToks like poking fun at your guys' like TikTok's energy.
And that's when it was funny.
And that like, yeah, like, we all thought that was funny.
And then, yeah, then merch got rolled out.
Yeah.
And then we were like, what's going on?
Like, why is there merch?
What about the.
The villa. Were you there? Did you go?
I didn't go to the villa. No.
Whitney and I had a good conversation about the villa.
She, we had a conversation. I actually think it's in the season, but Whitney had told me, you know, considering our history that she didn't really want me to go.
And I wanted to respect that. I said, okay, if you don't feel comfortable with me going, then I'm not going to go.
And the villa overlapped with like the first week of dancing with the stars. And I was not going to miss that.
I wasn't going to miss Whitney getting to tell me who her partner was. I wasn't going to miss.
Miss Whitney going to do these awesome photo shoots and coming home and getting to tell me about it.
And I wanted to be there for my kids because I knew that week when it was just going to be crazy
busy. Yeah.
Yeah, like how long are you gone at that first week? Are you like eight to 12 hour days?
It's insane. Like it felt like it felt like that, but I know it wasn't that. I think it's because
it was that was it. We're being honest. Chicago schedule was lighter than dancing with the stars.
Wow. No, for sure it was. Because of the press and photos shoots and stuff around.
For sure. Photos shoots. You had events to go to like it was like a dinner every other night.
or like you had to go to some like, you know, charitable organization thing that was
dancing with a star sponsored or then you had to go and do dress fittings.
But it's like all the fun things.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And how many months postpartum were you?
Were you like a year?
You were.
I wasn't a year yet because he had his first birthday on it.
Probably like.
Ten months.
Wow.
Oh, September, October.
Ten months.
Yeah.
Wow.
I know.
I know.
I may say you could be a postpartum for about two years really.
Like the full recovery of it all.
I'm telling you that's,
what got me into shape. I knew I wasn't going to be that physically active, like, literally
ever again because you're doing cardio for like six to seven hours a day, every day,
but it's great exercise because it's fun. Yeah. You're all like, I got to go to the gym.
Yeah. Oh my gosh. Yeah. It was the best. So when you got eliminated, you knew you were into Broadway
right away. Were you like, I'm just going on the next thing? I didn't know right away because I got
eliminated and then literally it was two days later. They were like, okay, they want you to fly out to
New York do an in-person work session, so like my audition, because they've been seeing
tapes, but like this was like the first like audition.
In person.
In person.
So we flew to New York.
Connor went with me.
And I was even a little sick, which was very scary.
I had a cough.
This was November.
I think we were there at the same time.
We were?
Yes, because I remember being like, maybe I'll run into him because you guys were next to
that Broadway store where they sell all the like merch at the theaters.
Yes.
I took a picture of the Broadway.
The W Hotel with your script.
Yes!
I was like, I'm right down the street.
I was like, and it said you were like teasing Broadway
and I was like, because you were doing Beetlejuice at that same time.
Yes, in November and I remember you were there.
It was right after you got eliminated and I was just like, oh my gosh.
Like I was like, I was trying.
We should have met up. I know.
Now we're oomfy, so now we would follow each other.
Okay, so you guys were there for like a day like right after.
Yeah, we were there for a day.
We took a red eye then that morning.
I did my in-person audition, which I'll have to tell you a funny story with that a little bit later.
Did my audition and then literally two days later they told us that.
I got the roll and then we figured it out.
I thought you auditioned.
Yeah.
We were driving to the airport and they called you on the drive.
Because we auditioned and immediately left for the airport to go back.
And they called you on the drive?
We called your agent and you're like, when are we going to find out?
And she was like, these things take time.
Right.
And then you found out 30 minutes after that.
It was on the drive there.
I'm pretty sure it was on the drive there.
I just don't remember when it was.
Wow.
Okay.
Right away is actually crazy.
No, it was crazy.
Do you cry?
Did you film it?
No.
Because we didn't know.
We didn't know that like that was going to be.
Agents don't know.
I'm like, come on.
Yeah.
It's a head's up.
Yeah.
So we can film it.
All with exciting news.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Connor, have your camera out right now.
I have my camera out for everything just in case.
Whenever I see my agent, I'm like, just in case.
You know, we would love a reaction, you know?
And such, because you guys film and share everything.
I know.
We need to be better at that.
I need to hire someone to do that, I think.
Well, you guys have.
Like, even coming in and like him taking pictures, I was like, I was like, I
need someone like that in my life. It is the best.
I do love having. It's like it's exciting.
That first meeting.
Do you ever regret sharing
too much about your guys' lives?
That's a really good question.
Do you? I feel like
I feel like in the beginning I did.
But then you almost get to a point you're just like
whatever.
So you're like, I'll just keep sharing.
Yeah. You're just like
because I do enjoy it and there was a time
where I was so hyper fixated on, you know, how the world,
how people viewed me and how I wanted to be perceived and blah, blah, blah, blah,
and it wasn't until literally you forget about that,
that then you're like, then people love you and da-da-da-da-da.
But you can't, like, you can't.
And that's taken time.
And also, that's not to say that there's still things that still get to me where I'm like,
oh.
That people say, like comments.
That hit.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
But no, I just, I don't know.
I just don't care as much as I did.
I don't know.
No, I would say same.
I remember when we were filming the pilot and we were trying to decide how much of our lives
were we going to actually share.
And we both just like had this conversation where when he's like, I really want to do this.
And then we were like, okay, if we're going to do it, then you got to do it.
Like if you're going to play the game, play.
Yeah, go full out.
So we had like a sit down conversation and said, okay, like this is what we have going
on our life and some very personal, very sensitive stuff that we just said, you know what?
like if we're going to do this, we need to be open and vulnerable and share this information.
And it was very scary at the time.
I remember sharing it and then just like going home that night and be like,
I hope that doesn't make the final edit.
Because I'm just like so nervous, so scared of like what people will think or what people will say.
And then, you know, people think and say mean things.
And some people think and say nice things.
And you realize at the end of the day, like it didn't have any effect on my life or our lives.
Yeah.
Like I was worried that the outside noise was going to influence.
us but it didn't yeah not at all you guys think like through all the seasons it's never rattled
anything you guys have stayed strong for every single oh no it definitely has like some stuff
hurts absolutely yeah definitely hurts to hear but I was more afraid that I was going to take what
people were going to say about me and it was going to influence how I was going to behave in the
future like oh if everyone if anyone thought I was like oh he's being too childish I'm like oh
I'm going to be like I need to start bringing more man but I like never but that like never
ever happened. Like people made their comments and I was like okay sure but like that's my
truth yeah that's my truth and like no it's not fun hearing that I'm a loser or that our
yeah or that your relationship isn't super solid because of the stuff we should like that's not
fun to hear but at the end of the day we knew what we were working on and we just kind of
focused on what mattered yeah and now you're doing magic yeah and now you're a magician
how do you feel about that because that seems like a big turn all of a sudden you're a magician
I feel like that's crazy.
Like I'm going to start becoming a magician.
I'd be like, oh my gosh, okay.
That's a lot.
That's a lot to take in.
I feel like it's like not as like serious as like I feel like it was publicized on the show.
Like it was more like.
It's like a whimsical hobby.
Okay.
But he's so good at it where I'm like, well hold on.
It could be something bigger than this.
Like Vegas, maybe.
No, literally we were just in Vegas because we just renewed our vows for our 10 year anniversary.
10 years.
I know.
Wait, you would love this.
We did it with Elvis.
It was amazing.
We went to the Little White Chapel.
I know.
We should show you the pictures.
I wish I was there.
Oh my gosh, I'm so sad.
Did you invite people?
I want to come.
That's so fun.
No, you guys, it was, I didn't realize how, like, of a show it was going to be.
Yeah, it was fun.
It was incredible.
I just had, like, my immediate family there.
And, like, everybody was in, like, these fun Vegas costumes.
I can't wait to show you the pictures.
The Elvis we had was amazing.
Oh, really?
Was good.
Usually they're a little.
No, he was so good.
And it was funny, because when we checking out, she's like, you got the good Elvis.
Wow.
I'm glad we got the good one.
He was into it.
He had us performing.
We were like singing lines on his songs.
Wait, why Vegas?
Why Elvis?
I think like, I don't know, it just felt like Vegas has always, which is funny because we don't do like your typical Vegas things.
No, we've always loved Vegas.
And I think like for Connor and I, we were, we didn't really have a lot of money in like the first years of our marriage.
years of our marriage. So whenever we wanted to go and like treat ourselves, we'd go to Vegas.
Oh, close to Utah. Yeah, very close to Utah. Yeah, just a little drive. Get like a discount hotel.
Yeah. Just like have a fun night. I go see a show. Yeah. And then go home and go home.
I was going to say, what is your Vegas routine being Mormons you don't drink? Yeah.
Do you follow that? Not alcohol, but we still drink.
Dirty soda. Dirty sodas.
Okay. Cool soup.
Okay, yes, that's the marketing. That's the business right there. We love a cool
sip. So you need one out here.
I love a virgin peanut collada.
We didn't do actually.
He does virgin mojitos and I do.
Yeah, they're so good.
Yeah, I love a virgin anything.
So we still drink.
Okay.
You know?
We went to a club one time.
We did.
And it was so funny.
In Vegas?
Yeah.
And we actually did drink there.
We did take a shot.
They gave us free tequila.
Yeah.
Oh my gosh.
And I hate turning down anything free.
That was the first time I'd ever.
That was the first time I'd ever taking a shot.
But Connor was like, wow.
I'm like, it's free.
It's free.
So we took the tequila shot and
and then chased it with a gallon of pineapple juice.
Oh, but it was a crazy.
Were you drunk?
Like, I would have been falling on the floor after a shot.
No, I'm like so bad with it.
I wasn't.
I just took one shot, but I feel like,
was it a full shot or did we, it was?
You took it?
I just sip a shot, so one gives me a shot,
like, love that, thank you, yeah.
You took the full one, that's good.
But it's funny because we went on the dance floor,
this conversation's all over the place,
but I love it.
We went on the dance floor and we went back
and the whole bottle was gone.
And I was like, oh, someone took our,
because we wanted to gift it,
didn't we want to gift it to that,
the Bachelorette party.
They took it like they stole it.
Like somebody just took it from our table.
So I was like, oh.
Very Vegas.
No one was watching our bottle.
Okay.
I guess we should have been watching it.
Wait, so you were there to renew vows.
Were you doing any meetings there?
Because you've been doing meetings here.
You're like meetings in L.A. meetings Vegas.
Well, Connor met some magicians.
We did do a meeting with Piff the Magic Dragon.
Oh, okay.
First of all, I caught it.
That he's still there.
We watch America's Cat Talent every year.
And we're like, do they ever go anywhere?
And we're like, oh, Piff's been there.
For such a long time.
Shout out Piff.
He's at Flamingo, right?
He's amazing.
He's been there since
Donnie Osmond was at the Flamingo.
My favorite more man.
He's like at 10 years now.
He's been there for a while.
Piff, yeah.
He's there with Rupal's Drag Race.
Yeah.
We brought our kids and he did like a little show.
It was so cute.
Is it kid friendly?
It was.
It was very kid friendly.
He brings the audience in and there can be like a couple of like
rowdyer moments.
Like I would say if you're like 12 and older,
you'd love the show.
But our kids loved the magic.
Like the magic blew their minds.
They just had the greatest time
because he brings out his dog, Mr. Piffles.
Okay.
There's actually a lot of Mr. Piffles.
You learn a lot about Mr. Piffles.
He clones the dog.
Yeah.
How?
Did you ask him?
Do you know, magician over here?
Do you know the trick?
No, he literally, no, no, not a magic trick.
Literally cloned science.
Oh, wow.
He can't literally do it every night.
No, no, no, no.
No, no, right.
There's just hundreds of Mr. Piffel.
I'm so confused.
He actually does it.
I was like, what do you mean?
No, like, so he has this.
dog, but like dogs only live for so long. So he has to clone that same dog. So like so for when
that dog passes, he doesn't really steal his show, but he tells the story. He tells the story.
He was like, our dog who like did America's gone telling me, Mr. Piffles, like he was getting older
and getting sick. So they're like, hey, like you should find another dog that looks like Mr. Piffle.
So he did. Turns out Mr. Piffles the second gets stage fright. So it didn't do well on stage. So
then they got another Mr. Piffles that looked just like Mr. Piffles. That that one's a
chunky or one. That one loved
his snacks. Oh, same.
Okay, we love that. That's cute.
We love that.
So people could tell.
Yeah. So he has like four different dogs.
So he has four different dogs. They all come out on stage at different points.
But so he took Mr. Piffles, gave its DNA to a lab in South Korea.
And they literally grew a dog in a lab.
Oh.
And then.
Is he keeping all the Mr. Piffel?
This spring, Denham gets a softer, lighter update.
Introducing Old Navy's drapey denim wide leg,
a new fit that moves with you.
It's everything you want denim to feel like for summer.
Easy, breathable, and effortlessly cool.
With a fit that creates natural movement
and a wide leg that feels modern, not overwhelming.
Plus, that signature, wait, for this price, moment.
Old Navy's drapey denim wide leg.
No, they're all part of the act now.
All five?
Four?
I think it's four.
Yeah, because the OG is no longer.
That's a lot of dogs on stage.
But honestly, that was the best ad I've ever seen
for a Vegas show because I had no interest in fifth the dragon.
Now I want to see it.
That sounds kind of everything.
I don't know.
Actually, I do remember how we got to Vegas.
Anyways, while we were there.
While we were in Vegas and did all of that,
I told Connor, I was like, you could do a show here if you wanted to.
Ooh, that's giving Vanessa Hutchins, you should be Elvis.
You know what I mean?
You're manifesting that for him.
We'll stay together.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Oh my gosh.
So that is so true.
There's so many magicians.
would you be a part of it?
Oh, 1,000%
Would you do like a little, you know?
I'd have like a little cameo moment.
It'd be fun to do like a magic variety show.
Yeah.
Like it'd be cool for there to be like dancing.
It'd be cool for there to be like a song.
Like just one or two songs.
And then magic because I feel like the magic shows that work are like comedy magic shows.
Yes.
Like Piff, it's like so funny.
You're laughing your head off and there's magic.
So I'm like the show needs something on top of the magic.
Wow.
Just to like bring an extra element.
It's just like bringing the show to life.
Is this like a real dream or is it just something you just thought of now?
Or are you like actually pursuing it?
No, like I just told Connor.
I said if you wanted to like.
Oh my gosh.
Anyways, just to get to the point where like it was not serious.
But then I was like, wait, you're really good at this.
Do you want to make it serious?
And do you?
I hope you do that.
I enjoy performing like Whitney does.
Just not, I just don't have the same aspirations.
I'm like not gunning for an Oscar.
I'm not gunning for a Tony.
But I really enjoyed being in 11 to Midday.
Don't tell people my secrets.
Is that your goal?
No, you should say it.
Like, is that, like, what would you, what you got?
That would be amazing.
Oh, my God, I'd like you could actually do it.
That would be really cool.
So you need to originate a role, right, to get a Tony.
Or, yeah, like, it can be a revival or obviously a new, a whole new show, but those are hard.
Like, whole new shows are hard to stay.
I feel like people are doing more.
So many clothes this year.
I know.
It makes me so sad.
Beaches was in and out so fast.
Death Becomes her was huge and that's gone.
It's, like, insane.
Like, that's why Chicago.
Look, I'm happy that was there for a while.
though. It was. A couple years.
But I feel like once Megan Hilty left, it wasn't
doing it's great. She was so,
did you ever get to see it? Yes, with her and it was
fantastic. So good. I was like shaking when I got
to meet her. I was like, oh my gosh, you're amazing. She's
so amazing. The best. Smash was short-lived
there, smash was there shortly. That was short-
everything was short-led. That's why you went back into Chicago
and giving it a whole second life is truly
amazing. It was everything and more. Oh my God. So you're
like thinking you would go back. So between Vegas,
dancing to start, oh my God, there's so much.
Then it's like, there's this a lot.
Like, we're going to be brought in a space.
If we're feeling like a...
Oh, my God, Katie Perry style.
He's going to the moon.
That would be...
You really would do it.
I would do it.
I feel like you would do everything.
And you guys are supportive of each other.
So you're so supportive too.
You would be like, yeah, to do...
The only reason I even went on stage was because of Whitney.
When I got the offer to be a part of 11 at midnight,
when it was like, do you want to do it?
And I said, yeah, it sounds like a lot of fun.
And she said, then we're going to do everything we have to do
to get you on that stage.
So she supports me.
Everyone sees this version of me supporting Whitney.
Yeah.
And people need to realize how hard Whitney rides for her friends and family.
The support I get from her is unmatched.
Like I feel like when I'm supporting her, I'm just paying back a debt because she supports me so, so much.
That is a beautiful.
It really is.
Because you are having such a moment in your career so to like also make the time to do that because it's hard to have two people performing because it's night time.
It's like you guys can't both be doing.
You know, it's really hard.
When I just finished my run.
Wow.
And so then because we were like, oh, we're so excited to like spend time together again.
And then it was like the week before, I think, right?
Like, because you were rehearsing during my last week.
Wow.
Yeah, during rehearsals, like come in between shows and like just hang out for a little bit.
But yeah, that's exactly how it panned out.
And we just, Whitney made it work so then I could do it.
Oh my gosh.
That's actually so beautiful.
No, it's really amazing because you guys are just like so busy.
And you just make everything work.
Like coming here to even today, I was like, wow, it's amazing that you made it work.
Do you have any other exciting plans we guys are here in L.A.?
Or is it just like interviews, meetings and stuff?
Um, because you have the kids with you, right?
Yeah, we have all the kiddos out here.
We took them to Disneyland.
It was amazing.
It was so fun.
We were there last weekend.
How was it?
It was so fun.
I love taking my kids.
Yes.
The BAD.
The VIP, yes.
That's what it's called the PLAD.
Yes.
When you see a plaid, people look to see who's with them.
We did the PLAD.
Did you get like that?
We went plaid.
And we'll never go back.
I know.
It is hard.
We go like once a year because it's just like, I wish we could do it all the time.
But did Hulu and Disney and Dance Wizards Rook you up?
Yes.
Oh, love that.
That's the perk right there.
Oh, my gosh.
That's amazing.
It is.
And we took my sister and like she has never taken her kids to Disney yet.
Because that's a whole different experience.
Like going by yourself but then going to take your kids.
Yeah.
It's so different.
And I like seeing her get to experience that, that was really cool too.
It was so fun.
Yeah, it was probably fun.
The kids with Disney.
Do they like it?
Oh, they love it.
I'm like low-key thinking that we might.
might be Disney adults.
Like, when we're getting there.
No shame.
We might be there.
I think we might be there.
You love Disney too?
I do.
Okay, I love it.
I love it especially as a father.
Like growing up, Disney was always like, oh, like fun.
Disney, like, go to rides.
But like, as a father, it's like such a fun place to just make memories with your
family.
Yeah.
Because, like, the way that they see things and, like, believe the stuff that you see
there, it's like, it's night and day.
They're just like, oh, my gosh.
Just like how they think you're an actual magician.
Yeah.
Which really just inflates my ego.
Oh, okay.
But you are.
When they tell their friends, like, my dad can actually do magic.
Like, no, magic is real.
I mean, that is cool.
That is what's cool about it, though.
Because I look at magic, too, sometimes I'm like, how are they do that?
Like, I know it has to be fake, but sometimes you're just like, but how are they doing it?
No, literally Connor did one today.
He's like, I've never shown you this one.
He showed me.
I was like, ooh.
I don't know.
You need to show Trisha on Magic.
Can we do it?
Yes.
Yes.
You guys are so fun.
Oh my God.
It is so crazy to see you in like real life.
Like, it is the most.
I'm having out of my life.
body experience. I know I'm on butterflies
I know same. I kind of
can't believe it. It's so real. I know.
I keep looking at the Arby's and like, when are we going to?
Oh yeah, yeah, oh, is it here? Oh yeah, we have to do that.
Yeah, we have to do the muckbang. The Arbighis. Yeah, oh,
my little toe. Oh my God, wait, this is everything.
Wait, are you represented by the same people? Do you have the same
agents? Do you have an agent? Yes. Yeah, we have the same team. Oh,
wait, I kind of love that. Yeah. That's kind of everything. Oh, my
magic tote. Wait, I'm so
excited. I love that you
brought a tote. I did.
Can I look or should we not like it?
No, you can look.
Here, I'll let you pick the deck of cards I do the deck of cards.
Oh.
Shinlin signed this deck.
Did she was like to see him in Vegas his last time?
No, but we tried and the timing didn't work.
Ah, I love him so much.
The green deck of cards, your classic bicycle.
Wow.
Let's do this one.
Okay, that looks legit.
Okay, I'm so excited.
These are discontinued.
You can't buy this.
You were doing these at the stage door, right?
You were doing this at stage door Chicago, which I love, by the way.
Every once in a while.
Every once in a while.
Like, Wendy would be like, hey, like.
He also did one on stage in 11 to midnight.
Yeah.
And you had to do that one first.
Yes, which was all so fun.
I was so glad to go see it because I love the rotating cast and I was like,
oh, that one should stay down long.
I know.
Hopefully they're going to tour it.
Oh, that'd be amazing.
Okay, just for time.
I don't want to take up all your guys' time with magic.
No, we love magic.
I'm seated for magic.
All right.
Does this look super shuffle to you?
Yes.
Okay, kind of like all over the place, right?
So this is what I'm going to do.
I'm going to need some help.
Okay.
This is a really fun trick.
I think you've shown you this one, but.
Yeah.
Yes.
So what I'm going to do.
I'm gonna kind of just like make a pile of cards.
Or teamie.
Or team tiny.
I'm gonna make a little pile of cards.
I'm gonna make three piles.
I need you to tell me when to stop.
Okay.
So tell me when.
Stop.
Okay, so that's one pile.
We'll put that down here just for now.
And let me know if you need me help.
And then tell me when to stop again.
Stop. Okay, perfect.
All right, now.
Oh, shoot, here we go.
There's slipping.
There we go.
Hold that.
Okay.
And then hold this.
I'm scared.
Don't be scared.
I'm gonna flip a card over.
Okay.
I'm gonna put it over here.
Okay.
Flip a card over, put over here.
We have a six.
This is your card.
So I want you to pull that, look at it.
Don't let me see it.
Okay.
You can show the kid.
You can show whoever you want.
Don't show me.
Show anyone you want, but me.
Okay.
Okay.
Now I want you to put it anywhere you want in this middle pile.
Okay.
Anywhere you want.
Good spot.
Good spot.
Okay.
Completely lost.
What was on the top of that one?
Say it?
Yeah.
A six of speed.
And that's a king.
Yeah.
Okay, so 10 minus six is four.
We're going to shuffle the deck four times.
And all I know is that your card is somewhere between that king and that six.
So let's just do a couple of quick shuffles.
One.
I haven't seen this one.
This one's cool.
Wow.
Okay.
Two, three.
Now this trick is called Burnham.
Four.
And you'll learn why in a second.
Like on fire.
Oh.
So what I'm going to do is I'm going to do is I'm going to try and like suss out a cluster of cards that like feel good to me that feel like could be your card.
It's like those ones feel good.
Those ones don't feel good.
You're just like feeling the magic.
I'm feeling the magic.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Like that feels good.
I'm feeling pretty good.
Three, four, five.
I need six cards.
Okay.
There's a 50% chance.
this card trick doesn't work.
Okay.
So hopefully it works today.
Is this part of the act?
Do you not know?
I don't know.
This is why it's called Burnham.
I'm going to show you a card.
And it's going to be your card because it's going to work.
Okay.
But if it isn't, I'm going to be like not your card and then I'm going to burn one.
Oh.
But I like, yeah.
Okay.
I like that insurance policy.
So everyone get ready to clap your hands because your card.
No.
Oh, no.
Okay, well, you guys said I get three chances, so...
Okay.
We're going to have Trisha hold this, not your card.
Keep a face down.
Okay.
And then, Trisha.
Mm-hmm.
Or actually, Oscar, hold this.
Okay.
That's a burn it pile.
Okay.
Don't show anyone that card, just...
Which means, finally.
Oh, my gosh.
Your card.
Oh.
Wait, I don't even remember what that.
I don't think it was that.
No.
No, damn.
All right.
Wait, it's so close, though.
You're so close.
Not your card?
Okay, you get three, right?
So two.
Yes.
This is the last chance.
Okay.
Which means...
Your card.
Oh, no!
No.
Okay, so not your card.
Wait, I think you...
I think you...
I think you...
Oh, no.
Okay.
I can't tell if you're just really good...
I know what we forgot.
I don't know either.
I don't know what's the gay.
I know what we forgot.
Okay.
We forgot a step.
That's okay.
We forgot a step.
We forgot the magic.
Oh.
I need a magic fistball.
Is this real? I don't know.
Hold it.
Don't move.
Okay.
Twist it.
Okay.
I want you to spread your knuckles.
Ooh.
Like that?
Now who had the burn it pile?
Me?
Oh, scary.
You had the not the card part?
Yeah.
So your card can't be in here.
But now that we've introduced some magic, I want you to hold that with your knuckles.
Okay.
I promise I'm not going to hit you.
I'm going to just pull them out just a little bit so that, because I'm going to do something kind of cool.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Ready?
Only one card remains.
Okay.
What could it be?
No!
What?
Oh my God, the presentation?
I'm just acting in.
This amazing.
Zach Affleck, you are nothing.
You are nothing.
You are dust.
This is crazy.
Wait, that is actually insane.
That's how are you good?
Wait, that was really good.
I really thought like, oh no, this isn't working.
I know me too.
Like, we need to cut this out.
That was insane.
Wow.
We did.
Okay, magic.
Thank you.
Oh, my God. Yes.
Connor Levin, everyone.
Oh my god.
That was amazing.
That was a nice.
Thanks for having me on the couch a bit.
Yes, we're gonna do a little Arbys.
I think the full Arby's came.
It's fresh, the fresh one.
Yes.
Yes.
Oh my gosh.
Yes, thank you so much.
He's such a cute.
He never tells me how he does it either.
No, because-
Wait, really?
Never.
Let me tell you something.
Once you know how a trick is done, it becomes way less fun.
I see.
That's true.
He wants you to be excited.
You mean magic.
That's right.
Yes.
so exciting. Oh my gosh. Wait, you guys are like so cute. So much talent in the family.
It's actually so wild. The R.Bs is here. I'm very excited. Of all,
me too. You are a brand deal queen. You are doing a brand deal every week.
Insane. Like, wow. I'm trying to live in a place like this. Oh my God. Well, we're far out from
Malay. This is probably Utah prices, I would assume. We're like far out. We're in the
girl. I don't know. I think I might need a tour. Oh my God. Yes. I would love.
I went into when I was getting glammed in your dressing room. I was like, I was just
looking at everything. I'm wearing
Trisha's shoes. Yes! You keep
them. I have so many shoes. I'm like getting rid of them constantly.
I need to wear these. They're really cute.
They're so cute. I mean, you've got tiny feet, though, so
I like got a... That's not true. I'm like a size
eight and a half after pregnancy. I definitely went up a size.
It happened to me too. Yeah, I think it's a real thing.
I think it really... I thought that it like, because when my feet were growing,
I was like, oh, they're just swollen and then they'll go back and I was like, no.
No, I was a six. And now I'm like eight and I'm like eight and a half nine.
Okay, so we're like the same. I was six and I'm an eight.
and a half now. Oh, wow. Yeah, the three, because you were back to back? You have two kids, right? Three.
Okay. A three, two and one. And was yours back to back? No. Three, two and one? Yeah, that was
I didn't realize how close they were. Yeah, well, I was older. I'm 38 now, so I'm quite a bit
older than you. So I started my journey probably the age of war now. It was like 34, 35, 36, basically,
having kids. And I took the tubes out. I was like, I can't do anymore. I was, it was really
hard for me to get pregnant. And then the first two, we did HSG test. The second one came so
quick, like four months after I was like, oh, okay, I wasn't ready for that. So then we did
tubes out for it. But yeah.
Isn't three crazy? Three's a little
much. I mean, I love it. It's perfect, but it's a lot.
No, three's a lot. You're outnumbered.
We're outnumbered. And two, I was like,
oh, this is fun. Like, we've got friends now.
Yes. But then the third, and you're like, I
done. It's chaos. Are you done?
I'm done. Yeah. Kitchen is closed.
Yes. I guess you could never say that. Because you did have the boy and girl,
right? You had a boy and girl. Yeah, I have a girl and then two boys.
Because most people do like to stop, because as much as people don't like to say,
we were trying for another gender.
It's like usually they do for the third.
But you were like, oh, let's just see what.
Yeah.
Well, because I had my girl and then I had my boy.
And then for the last one, we were like, I've always wanted to because I have like a very
controlling personality.
And I like want to know everything all the time.
Like I'm the person that would go take the blood test to find out as soon as you could
to figure out what the gender was.
Yeah, us too.
But for the third, I was like, let me just try and see if I can wait.
So I waited until I actually gave birth and Connor was the one.
And it was like, it's a boy.
And he released quarterflies to show.
Yes.
Yes.
Of course.
The midwife.
Yes.
And roses and flowers.
So you didn't even do a gender reveal for the third one.
No.
Wow.
I know.
That's amazing.
No, because we were the same.
We never waited.
As soon as the doctor's called, like give us the gender and we'll do a gender review
for everyone else, but not for us.
Yeah.
Amazing.
I always just want to know.
Like, I don't want to wait.
Three is good.
I feel like, you know, when you think about having the third, I always do tell people.
If you're thinking about it is fun.
I mean, it is fun.
They are a wild card.
It comes and you're just like, this is wild, but it's like, we're in it now.
Yes, we're in it now.
Love it, wouldn't change it.
But also, oh my gosh, also all this Arby's.
Thank you to Arby's for sponsoring today's episode of Justrish.
Arby's is raising the bar on cheese steaks with their new Angus cheese steaks.
Try one today.
Say goodbye to Boring burgers.
The new Angus cheesecake available now at Arbys.
Wow.
That is good.
All right, let's pause and talk about today's sponsor Arbys.
Whitney and I both love Arbys.
with a huge fan and we've both been spokespeople for Arby's.
Okay, Arby's has a new item called the Angus Cheese Stakes.
Arby's Cheese Steak is crafted from top to bottom
with premium ingredients and bold, savory flavor.
In fact, it's so good it's been added
to the permanent menu.
Arby's cheese,
100% Angus beef, melted white American Cooper cheese,
thick cut caramelized onions,
and is served on an authentic Amoroso's
sesame seed sub-roll.
You guys know I just love partnering with Arbys.
I have loved their menu for so long
and I love that they keep adding new menu items
their English cheese steaks are so good.
Anyways, I have to try them out.
And I highly recommend getting maybe curly fry,
getting one of those extra large coax now that they have
mozzarella sticks.
You know, you got to get that six piece
and that little like peach cobbler.
It's just such a perfect meal.
And they always have great stuff.
It's always quality, okay?
I mean, Arby's deserves all the hype
because they really are bringing quality food
at affordable prices and just drive on through.
So break up with your boring burger.
This is a better way to enjoy meat and cheese.
Available now only at Arbys.
I love Arby's.
Thank you so much for sponsoring
at the Jays podcast. It's been so much fun and check out their new Angus cheese steaks.
Wait, yum. Are these the creams shakes? Are they back?
Wait, yum. Oh my gosh, I love this. Do you guys want to know a fun fact about me and Arby's?
Yes. I'm so... Every pregnancy I have. I crave Arby's like no other. Really? I will always have to
get their cheddar roast beef sandwich, drizzle it and Arby sauce. Like I had to have one almost every
single day. Oh my God. Is it your
go-to order? Yes.
I love the cheddar roast
beef. I'll tell you, my secret
is before every podcast, I'm running
to Seamy Valley, which is like 20 minutes away and I come
back with mozzarella sticks. Amazing.
What is this? It's orange?
Yes. What is it?
Orange, like a drink saco.
That was good.
Wait, this was a raw... Oh, they brought Jemokas
too. Oh, my God.
I love Arby's. I love that
your Arby's partnership. Shot at Arby's
again. They're also partnering with Makes Stulte right now,
who's going into O Mary, Mary.
Which is the dream role for every one.
Have you auditioned for that?
That's my dream.
No, I haven't, but I feel like...
Not even for Mary.
I'd be like Mary's teacher or something.
I'd be anyone.
No, you'd be Lincoln.
No, you'd need to be Mary.
If you're married, I'll be Lincoln.
You would need to be Mary.
Have you reached out to them?
Yeah, I think we put some calls in.
I hear back from nobody.
Chicago, we put in the calls.
We've been putting in the calls.
That's why it is impressive.
Like, it's not easy.
Like, it's not, you know.
And I feel like people think that even when something like that does happen,
kind of like what I said earlier,
think that it just keeps happening, but I'm like, no, like, this industry is, yeah, it's
very hard. And you're obviously, the fact that you broke all, I mean, they've had some huge
stars in the rocks, the fact that you broke all those records is insane. The fact that people
showed up for you, like, it's, it's not, it's not, it's not cheap, like, you know, oh, okay,
wow, a little mozzarella sticks. Oh my gosh, this is great.
Why isn't mine? I love a bling. We need all the bling. I love it. No, when you did
Chicago, they sponsored you, and they put my little picture up.
and you're dressing around.
And I was like, I wonder if she's like down with that
because it was very much a focal point.
And I was like, but I kind of love this.
I was very excited.
I felt bad because it's like your biggest moment.
They're like, here, why don't you put Trisha Arby's photo up there?
No, I was so excited.
I did love it.
I also, it was such a hot photo too.
I know, the little Arby's one.
I was like, oh, I love it.
I love that they're like such a broad.
You know what?
They did it for us too.
Opening night they gave Broadway gift card,
or Arby's gift cards to everyone in the show
and Beatle juice.
So they're like if you want to go to Arby's.
I think the closest one was like Queens or something.
I think it was a little.
It wasn't like in the city, but.
So you want to go back on Broadway?
I would love.
I think I do need to take some voice lessons.
Maybe I'll follow your path and do a little vocal lessons or something.
Eric is great.
He's here in L.A.
He's in L.A.
Uh-huh.
Also, I know a guy in New York, if you're ever there too, love him too.
But Eric's like, he's like trained like Sabrina Carpenter,
Ariana Grande.
And he helps you.
You think it helped a lot.
Oh, yeah.
Connor, I was saying your progression.
He's like watching you from like night one.
on to like the end and how like amazing you did was like because it's nerve-wracking that
first night even like my tapes that I would send in I was like oh I don't know if we should
send these in because I just I couldn't carry a tune like I don't really feel like I could
and you think the teacher obviously you can so now you think the vocal teacher is to help you
it's just like dancing it's like you have to learn how to move your body in certain ways
and it's the same thing with your voice like you have to visualize like where it needs to be to
hit certain notes and to put it all together to make it sound like you're singing.
Yeah, and you did such a good job.
It's like not an easy role.
And Mark's already going back into it.
I know.
I'm going back actually.
I'm going to go back.
I'm so excited.
That's a wild jump.
Or are you just like, oh my God, that's so crazy.
Or you like, you understand it.
You're like, okay, I miss it too sometimes.
No, I totally understand it.
Because again, it's like, it's like your family.
Like you're seeing these people every single day and you're like, oh, like, I miss them
because it's just never the same.
Yeah, and with each new cast, obviously,
it's going to be something different too.
Because he'll have a different Roxy, I guess I would assume.
A different Roxy, he'll probably have a different Belma.
Wow.
He'll have a lot of different...

Different people.
So actually, yeah, no, he'll meet a lot of different people.
But he wants to, like, really go into that world.
So I think it's like...
He did, right?
Was he, like, Jersey Boys and stuff, too?
He did Jersey Boys.
He did Kinky Boots.
Yeah.
Really?
Yeah.
Oh, damn.
So he's like, he's in it.
Well, so are you.
So you think like...
We're both trying to be.
Yeah. I don't want to go back to New York at the same time as you so we can like be friends.
Should we revive one together?
Tony, here we come.
Let's do it.
What is the revival?
I'm trying to think two women revival.
I mean, Chicago is the most iconic, but obviously can't get a Tony for that.
What is the two women revival?
I'm trying to think.
Sweet charity.
Okay.
Sweet charity would be amazing.
That would be a fun one for sure.
Hmm.
You know which one I love?
I don't know if I went to Broadway.
Do you remember gentlemen prefer blondes?
Like, did you ever see that movie with Marilyn and Jane?
Wait, what is it called?
Gentlemen prefer blondes.
It's where Diamonds are a girl's best friend is from.
It's like, we're just two little girls from Little Rock.
It was like this great number.
It's like really old.
I don't know if it ever went to Broadway.
And if it did, it might have started making healthy.
I can't remember.
Smash was great, but I could never sing smash.
I need to do one that's...
I need to look that up.
Gentlemen for blondes.
Is this the...
It's from like the 50s.
It's like the iconic, like, outfits where they walked out in like that dining room.
The red sequence.
They have like red sequence.
No.
I'm thinking of something else.
Yeah, she did a lot.
I mean, Marilyn's not easy either to sing,
but I feel like I could maybe do that one.
I don't know.
I would love.
There's so many rivals.
I think producers is coming over.
I think you to do an original.
Well, Whitney, my thing I'm manifesting is your production company optioned Tricia's book into a movie.
Please.
Yeah.
A movie to musical is my plan.
That's my plan.
A movie to musical is crazy.
Okay, I love it.
Which one of the Mormon Wives is playing me?
Macy are you available?
Miranda.
Miranda.
Is that maybe we have to be a Miranda?
Yeah.
Okay.
Do you get them confused?
because they're so blonde.
Thank God you went red.
Because I was like, I can't keep them all straight.
Well, it was funny because I was also blonde in the first season,
but I think that I was able to like...
Oh, yeah.
People recognize me more because I was like the only one was short hair
because everyone had like long hair extensions.
What was the thought behind that?
I mean, I loved it.
My hair was falling out.
I had to cut it from extensions.
Like I would bleach it like crazy.
crazy. Like I loved just being a
bleached blonde bombs shot. I loved
it. But my hair just
it was time. And I kept changing
it like I'd go blonde and then I'd go dark
and then I'd go blonde again and like it wasn't
like through time. I'm like just put bleach all over it.
I know. It is the worst for your hair. I mean I don't have to do wigs.
Yeah I need to save this hair because it finally
grew. Mine was always a half an inch and it finally is like
long so I just do wigs all the time. I'm like don't touch my hair.
Well and that's why I have to stay dark because I'm like
but you do you have an extension company. You invest in an extension company.
Yeah, Sylvia.
Are you wearing him now or is it your hair?
Oh my gosh, it looks so good.
It's like so seamless.
Sylvia.
I mean, literally every company, like every business venture there is, you're like,
I'm going to do that actually.
The drinks.
Hers was actually a really cool story because I was in L.A.
And she had this hair color.
And she, I told her I was like, I want to, I want your hair.
And this was when I was like my natural hair color.
So it's a bit of like a dirty blonde.
And she was like, you're crazy.
And I'm like, no, I want to do it.
So she did it.
But she did it very light.
And I was like, no, like, I want to be your hair color.
So I had to come back and she did it again.
And then we finally got there.
But I had built this relationship with her.
And she'd been telling me about, like, this dream that she had with this extension line and everything that she wanted to create.
And, like, I want to work with people who are passionate about what they want to create and put out there.
So then we, like, came together.
And like, so really, it's like, it's her business.
But, like, I want to help get it off the ground.
because it really is my favorite hair extension I've ever worn.
Keeps my hair healthy.
It's great hair.
Is it a clip in there?
Mine's a sew in.
Oh, sorry, no, mine's beaded.
Okay.
So I have one left in here.
Just move it up.
But she does have clippins, and they're my favorite clippins because when you put it in,
it has like a tacky side to it.
So it doesn't slip as much as other extensions do.
Like I don't need to wrap my hair as much for that extension to stay in.
Yeah.
The clips are sturdy.
It's amazing.
It's not like ruining your hair, pulling it out.
She's really put a lot of time into it.
It looks amazing.
It looks great.
I was a couple more questions, but we should get an egg cheese stick.
Trisha thought that, like, Jesse would be mad about you.
Oh, the internet thought, too.
The internet was like, oh, they did.
There's kind of room for everybody, right?
And especially you're investing in, like, someone else's dream.
Yeah, you don't own the dream.
That's the perfect line ever.
Because how true is that, right?
It's just like when someone's like, oh, you knew she wanted that.
It's like, everybody wants it.
Like, who doesn't want?
If these the new Angus cheese sticks yet,
We should show cheese steak, sorry.
Oh my god, I'm so excited.
This is the new one.
Okay, Angus Cheesesteaks.
They're always coming out with something at Arby's.
What?
New menu items all the time.
Moses, is there Arby's sauce?
Oh, thank you.
Ooh, there's probably lots of sauces.
Ooh, that looks good.
Changing the game of cheese steaks, Arby's.
I love this so much.
Never, and it's also like you never see any
of the other fast food companies coming out
with these kind of sandwiches.
It looks, I mean, it smells amazing.
Wow.
You guys, I never had one.
I love watching Mark Banks.
Is it?
Is it your thing?
That's my guilty pleasure.
Have you ever done a full proper?
This is like a mini one.
Have you ever done a full?
I've never done one.
Like I don't feel like like like.
I'm getting it messy on my own.
There's something like there really is like something because there's some muck things where I'm like no.
It's not doing it for me.
What's your favorite?
Who's your favorite muck banger and what kind do you like to watch?
Okay.
There's a girl right now that I absolutely love.
I need to find her.
This is.
I need to give her a shout out.
Okay.
I love.
Because I watch all the muckbangers are already getting a mess.
Oh my gosh.
Okay.
Is it on TikTok or YouTube?
It's on TikTok.
Well, she might have a YouTube, but I watch her stuff on TikTok.
What is that?
His button.
Okay, what?
What is that?
Okay.
Jesus?
Speaking to us.
Do Mormons believe in Jesus?
Yes.
No, Mormon's a Christian.
Oh.
Yeah.
Well, that's something you didn't know.
Right?
Really?
No, no.
No.
That's crazy.
That's cool.
I love you so much.
I love that.
I love Mormons.
I love all the dancing with the stars, pros.
Donny Osman.
Shout out of Ogden, St. George.
We love you.
That's ready to high school musical three.
Love the Angus Cheese steak from Arby's new menu item.
It smells so good.
The onions, everything.
Let's try a bite.
Mm-hmm.
Wow.
I never had one, but it's really good.
Cheese and meat.
Mm-hmm.
Not your boring burger.
I have to drizzle it and not re-sauceauce.
What is it?
Like ranch or what?
I never had the sauce.
Should I try it?
I would try it with you for the first time.
Do you have one more?
Yes, here, I'll give you one.
I have so many.
Do you want one Oscar?
Thank you.
I love an Arby sauce.
Me too.
I don't even know how to describe it though.
Is it spicy?
Is it tangy?
No, that's kind of tangy.
Tangy is probably a better way to put it.
Okay, I'll try it.
Yeah.
It's so good.
I'm not usually a sauce girly, but I'm with the cool girl.
So if you're eating it, I am too.
I am a sauce girl.
I'm going to put it on too.
I love sauce.
Okay.
I know I got the grease on.
Okay.
All right, I put a lot on.
Is it good with it?
Oh, yeah.
Mm.
I'm happy to try it.
Okay.
Thanks, Moses.
Mm.
Mm.
Right?
Yeah.
Okay, that is good.
Uh-huh.
I think I like sauces.
I think I've never been exposed to them.
I think when I try them, I like them.
They're, uh, yeah.
That's like their special one.
Mm-hmm.
I've never, I've never tried something like that.
It's really good.
It's like sweet.
Okay, I found the girl that I love to watch.
I'm, I don't want to pronounce her name because I think I'm going to pronounce it wrong.
Kayla?
I want to say it's Kayla, but it's this girl.
Let me see.
Have you seen her?
I love her.
Oh my God, we almost clapped when I was in New York.
Wait, really?
Mm-hmm.
I love her.
She is the, I follow her behind the scenes, day and the life of a muckbanger.
Yes, and I love it.
Like, and like, I don't know.
I don't know why like some times you love watching them
and the way she eats.
She eats like,
um,
you know,
and it's beautiful.
I don't eat beautifully.
So that's why I'm like,
wait,
I love watching.
No,
you do.
You do.
Ooh,
are these the peach hobbler ones?
Wow,
we're,
we're getting hooked up.
Shadow Arby's.
Arby's was like,
I think this is the first time
they're like officially sponsoring the podcast.
Me and Oscar did Arby's commercial together for the brisket.
Yeah.
Um,
and this is the first time they sponsored the podcast when they heard Whitney was coming on.
They're like,
ooh,
can we make it?
And they have,
They made it happen fast.
Because Hot Girls eat Arby's.
We should wear the shirt.
Did they give you the shirt?
Yes.
Do you know people are asking me where you can get that?
I was like, oh, I don't know.
You used to be able to get online, but it might have sold out because they always are having like a merch.
Arby's everywhere.
Everywhere at the Unwell, they were at Arby's F1.
They're at Broadway.
They're just like every, I don't know.
I don't know how or why, but we love.
Also, this is so good.
If you have this with the vanilla shake.
Mm-hmm.
Wow.
Man.
Arby's really does hit.
So you like the sauce?
I love the sauce.
I actually love the sauce, and I'm not just saying that.
I'm shocked that you've never tried it.
Mm-mm.
I've never really tried sauces in general.
Like, I have to kind of be pushed into doing it, but it does add to it.
Did you like the sauce?
I love the sauce.
Oh, you knew it.
You knew the sauce.
You should do a commercial for the sauces because I never knew that was...
I would never have tried it if it wasn't for you.
I kind of love that.
That is so good.
It's so good.
No, I love that you were down for a muck bang.
That is so good.
I was like, yes, let's do it.
Wow.
I will be eating another one about.
That is delicious.
Because you look, you do look amazing.
You have like so much energy.
You're doing all this stuff.
You look strong too is a thing.
Yeah, I do.
I lift every day.
Every day?
I'm sorry, not every day.
I lift about like five days a week.
Wow.
That's still insane.
Yeah.
Oh my God.
And then, okay, one more thing I had to ask about because I'm so curious.
This is also just like so niche.
But I'm obsessed with your private chef life in New York.
How did you find him?
He's like a TikTok chef?
And I was like, wait, I need him.
No, it was so great.
So my agent was friends, had a friend.
which was him because I was like, guys, I really need like someone to help, like, because we were just so busy, like, to help make meals for me and my family.
And then we met him and he became a part of the family.
And he'd come twice a week.
Okay.
And then he would just like prep.
Meal plan.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Prep all the meals.
So it's like all you really had to do is heat it up or sometimes it would be cold, like a cold, like, chicken salad or something.
What's the sick time name again?
Chef.
Chef Keegan, I think.
Is it Chef Keegan?
I was watching.
Kevin McManness.
I was glued.
Oh, I was like, I'm coming to New York.
I want to use you because it is, and it's so expensive.
That was our thing with New York too.
So, the food and everything like that, and you have to like eat out every meal.
Nobody wants to do that.
So that was wonderful.
My gosh.
Your lifestyle is really everything.
Final most crazy wildest dream that you have that if you set out loud, I think that's so crazy.
But like you could see it happening.
Oh, my God.
I guess the got's already been established.
But what else?
I think being in a movie with Emily Blunt.
Okay.
Do people...
That one's on my list.
Wait, because you love her,
do people tell you, like, have similar vibes, or like, what is it?
They tell me, though, people tell me a lot that I look like her.
So I'm like, we need to, like, be a, some sort of, like, family duo, yeah.
Okay.
Duo, that right there.
Oh, I love that.
Oh, I love that.
Oh, that's pretty, that's, you know, I feel like that's a doable one, but I see that happening.
Yes.
Or Broadway.
Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
I don't know if she's, I feel like she's British.
or girly about, I don't think she's ever been,
do you know who I just found out that I had never done Broadway,
but I was fully convinced,
has was Anne Hathaway.
She does,
because she did lay miss.
But she gives off to me.
Yeah.
Yes.
Because I told Connor,
because I don't even know how we started talking about it,
but I was like,
no, she's been on Broadway,
and then we Googled that,
and I was like,
oh.
She has it,
but she's in those,
like she did lay mess.
Yeah.
She had a fantastic job in it.
Oh, she was,
wasn't she in Into the Woods, too?
Yes.
So, like, what do you mean?
Emily Walt was in,
Emily Watt wasn't into the list.
She was the Baker's wife, yeah.
I wonder if she's on Broadway.
That's why I was saying.
That's why I thought she was like a singer because she was there.
Would you do Broadway if they paired you with James Gordon?
I would love to do it.
I would love to do one with you.
Okay, well, let me know Chicago.
I'm just like, anything I can rub off on you.
I'm like, yeah, no, whatever you want,
because you are the magic, you have the touch.
You're so blowing up, it's everywhere.
And I'm like so honored to have gotten to meet you and cross-bats with you.
And you are like so funny and so sweet in person.
And I'm so excited to see your big announcements coming up.
I don't even know,
but maybe you can tell me when this ends,
because I need to know, I need to know what's in the works.
We're your constant supporters.
Thank you.
Forever and always, our favorite.
You're my new favorite Mormon.
Donnie was number one, but I think you're my new favorite Mormon.
Sorry, Donnie.
Donnie and Marie, we're both tied for number one,
but Whitney has stolen my heart, and we love you so much.
And thanks for being here and check out Winnie Lovett, literally everywhere.
Just check her out.
And Connor, too.
He's probably going to be everywhere.
And Vegas.
Vegas, LA, New York, Dancing with the Stars, Movies, and more.
And we love you guys.
And thank you, Whitney, for being you.
Thank you. You're so sweet.
