Yes. Thank you so much. I want to learn more about your journey. You're from Detroit. Yes, I'm from Detroit. This is a place that has so much rich history. What was it like growing up and what were the inspirations that really pushed you to want to do music?

Growing up in Detroit, I mean, it's bittersweet. You know, I don't even remember how, how it, like, if it was bad or not, because we made it great. Me and my siblings, you know, my mom had five of us at 21. I'm the oldest of six right now.

And we had each other, you know, we didn't have much, but we had each other. And I can't complain about my upbringing in Detroit. You know, Detroit is Detroit though. It's rough. You know, it's a home of hustlers and pimps and birds and terror.

What was that like? Was it almost just like second nature because that's all you knew? That's all I know. You know, so like think about second nature to you, how people could say, how are you so positive? That's second nature. I can't even explain to you how to just be positive.

Like that's just who I am. Right. So it was like, that's Detroit, that's just who I am. And that's all I know. But as I traveled the world, I noticed that every place is not like this. You know what I'm saying? Like, you know, it's easier in Detroit.

It's not a lot of opportunities that just come. People not just traveling to Detroit, I mean now, but you have to go get it. You gotta figure it out. I got it out the mud. I started from nothing and made it into something. Made it into something. I love that. You're in this industry where women are dominating the rap game.

Yeah. Like y'all are killing it. Yeah. And I'm loving it. Me too. It's like beautiful to see like everybody just doing their thing and y'all are so confident and powerful in this space. How do you feel about it?

And then who would be like your dream collab? If you could collab with anybody, who would it be? Uh, huh. Like of all time? Yeah, anybody. Yeah. Daryl, I like to ask those questions. Like if anybody, like if you could have your way. Oh, Aaliyah. Oh.

What? That is my number one favorite. You already got the bang. That's my number one favorite artist of all time. I remember where I was. She was so effortless. Effortless, beautiful. Just, I wanted to be her. Swag was just so fire.

let me see what's out here? Or are you like, when people like, I can't, cause some artists cannot listen to- I can't listen to nobody. I don't, I can't, especially not other female rappers. Yeah. And it ain't even that I don't like them. I can't listen to them cause I get in the studio,

like right now I like that song Broke. Oh yeah. I be in the studio like, Broke. I might catch myself wanting to say this, like, no, that's not yours. You know what I'm saying? So I don't even listen to them so that I could just stay on track with myself.

But like, as far as female rappers, I like Cardi. Love Cardi. Yeah. I like all of them. I like Meg. I love Glow. Baby, come on, Tennessee. Don't play with my girl.

Yes. I love Lato. Sex. Everybody that's out right now. So we could just do a whole collaboration. I love that. I'll do that, for sure. And then the fact that we're living in a time where so many female rappers, and it never been like this.

It's just like, dang, it's like we're living in history. Literally. It's a new wave. Yeah. And to know that I was at the top of the pyramid when it first started. Yes. It wasn't a lot of girls before I came out. So it's like dang man it's just to know that I'm a part of a wave like that is crazy. Yeah I love that. I was at Meals on Wheels like two years ago and you performed. Oh yeah. Right around the corner. And my publicist, she is Jennifer, the whitest black girl you ever meet.

yeah, you probably don't know that. That Cash Doll. When I say she was in her like, ah! I was like. At my shows I'd be looking like wow. Yes you have very diverse crowd. Wow. Yeah. How does it feel to have that reach? Yeah. I don't know. You know what? This tour is really helping me realize who I am. Wow. Because I've been in clubs and just like doing little quick shows. Sometimes I do festivals or whatever the case may be, but they're here to see multiple artists. These people are here to see me.

So it's like when I'm seeing these people in the crowd and like little young kids, and like I said, it's very diverse and people with my shirts on and hats and signs, I'm like. people with my shirts on and hats and signs. I'm like. This is where we are. The little girl from Detroit that looked up to Aaliyah. That looked up to Aaliyah.

Wondering if I could do, I can't do it like that. I can't do it like her, but I'm gonna do it. You doing it. And it's like, wow. I love it. It's very, it's just mind blowing. Yeah. It is, I'm not even gonna, it is.

You know, and then to be off tour, I mean like where I'm on tour and then like the days I do have off, I'm just slumped. And it's like, you know, finding that balance with being a mom, that's why my son is here. I wanted to ask, yeah, Kashyn's here. My God, it's just. How do you balance it all?

I don't know. God, God. Come on. Yeah, like literally, you have to lean on him. It's nobody else but God. Because I just let it go and let God just help me. You know, I want to be the best mom I could be. Yes.

I want to be the best artist I could be. I want to be the best woman I could be for myself. Yeah. You know, I want to wake up and remember to take my vitamins and to do my skin routine, and to exfoliate. But when you're on a rush, you're going, going, going, going, going, going, going. Those things fall, by the way.

Some things fall short. It don't have a man. Maybe. Huh. Yeah. That's another kid. That's another. You took the words out of my mouth.

That's another child that needs that attention and that love. That needs that attention, that love, and nurturing that relationship, too. You have to nurture took the words out. And I tell people all the time, like you have to make sure that you prioritize them all. Yeah, because, you know, like, I feel like some people get in relationships, and they just prioritize that. Yeah. And everything goes far short. And then when that relationship

don't work, they're searching and looking for people. And it's like, if you prioritize everything, I mean, of course and looking for people to him and it's like if you prioritize everything I mean of course and when it's over it's still a hurt but you still have those same people and you still been nurturing all your relationships and they're still there. Yeah. You dropped that ball. Now you trying to go find other people. Come back, I need y'all. I'm going through something. Yeah. Don't come with me when you're going through something. Yeah, right. You forgot about it. You forgot about me when you was all lovey-dovey.

Uh-huh. Talk about it. You know what I'm saying? When you was all head over heels, you forgot about your girl. So know it. I've been guilty of that. You guilty?

I've been guilty of that. Being so head over heels. You have. I'm pouring, pouring, pouring into my person that my girl's like, dang, you don't spend time with us. But your person is always like, let's do this, let's do this, let's go here. And it's like.

And you wanna go with, cause when you, especially that beginning. In the beginning of, forget about it. Forget about it, y'all would never see me. I'm with my man, goodbye. See you later. Literally, yes.

Girl, and then when he the bitch you off, you call your friends, they like, no. Yo, what you doing? No, what? I you call your friends, they're like, no. Yeah, what you doing? No, what? I miss you. No, oh, you miss me? Yeah.

Yeah, yeah. I do better about prioritizing now. Prioritizing, yeah. And that comes with maturity and just learning how to balance it. And then it's healthy for your relationship with him too, because I feel like he has time to miss you and see that you have a life outside of him. Exactly. And not not just oh, baby baby baby, baby, uh-huh. Yeah, I have other things to do like

Yeah separate. That's so I absolutely love that because I come with I've been like that It does it comes having growth maturity. I feel like we grow now Yeah, and then it helped the relationship last longer. I feel like yeah. Yeah, it's like when you miss them You know, you got other things to do and, it's like when you miss them, you know, you got other things to do, and y'all like scheduling and trying to be together. It's like when you get together, that time just, Yes.

It count, like you gotta make it count, you know? Yeah. Yeah. You gotta make it count. You gotta make it count. So yeah, just, that's where I'm at in life. I love that. Balancing.

You have to. Cause I know you've been busy. Today was supposed to be that day, but then they said you, I was like, I'm getting up. Oh, okay. What you making a sense in today? But Cash you want to go to Chuck E Cheese and I haven't took him in a couple weeks. That's another priority. See what I'm saying. Oh, it doesn't stop. And then tomorrow I have to go to New Orleans and then after New Orleans I have to go to Memphis and then after Memphis I have to go to Dallas and then after Dallas I got to go to

Houston. These are the things you guys don't see. They don't see that then and all these places I have to go to Dallas. And then after Dallas, I gotta go to Houston. These are the things you guys don't see. They don't see that. Then in all these places, I have to make sure that my hair and makeup is on point. I have to make sure my outfits is on point for this stage. I have to make sure that I remember to pack all this stuff, because if you leave one shoe, that messes up everything.

Everything. Right? Because you're moving, you're moving out of this car to this printer, to this hotel, hotel to this and then you got kids. My daughter need her diaper changed. She need a bottle right now. Cash didn't want to get on the airplane. He just fell down the stairs. Now I gotta stop everything I'm doing. What happened? Then my manager's on the phone. You have to be here in five minutes. You're like, I'm trying. Hey! Yeah, do you ever like deal with like anxiety?

Cause it's, you don't, no stress. I'm like that tree, like when it's a storm, that's just still. I sit real quiet and I just be like, Yeah. I will sit there and I would just let all the chaos go. Wow. And while the chaos is going,

I'm already calculating it all. That's so good, Cash. That's good. Then when it's over, I'll be like, all right, so this how we gonna do this. Of course, girl. Honey, all y'all to get in line. This how we gonna do this.

This the only way this gonna work. And then it works. That's good. That's God. I love that because God be stressed. I would be stressed out. Therapy and all, I'm like out the window. And I don't even have my best friend, my therapist.

Really? That's good, someone you can trust. Yeah. Yeah, my best friend and like my big sister. And you know, I just, I let it out with people I love. Yeah. I know eventually I will get a therapist though. I don't think nothing's wrong with it.

No, not, I have it there, I'd love it. Yeah, I don't think nothing's wrong with it. I tell people all the time. Because I feel like it is harder for people who have celebrity status to find somebody they can trust because trust is such a big thing in our life. But because of law, they can't tell anybody. But even still in the back of our minds,

like, you gonna tell my business? Right. Like, how much can I really tell you? Because they got a best friend. Hello, girl, you know Casual came in here. Girl, Casual came in here. Sh, girl. You know, Kairzah came in here. Girl, Kairzah came in here. Shrestha. You should have seen her slumped.

Listen, no. You know? Yeah. So that's good. You have your tribe. I have my sisterhood. That's important. It is very important.

Sisterhood is so important for us women. It is. And I don't know how women do wrong by their girls because I need my friends. I need them. It's not even a want or it's a need to be able to pull up and let it all out. Yes.

And then walk away like, oh, I just dropped a load on her. Yeah. And she couldn't wait, because she is a recipient. I love that. on her and she couldn't wait, you know, because it's, it's, it's a reciprocating. So I love that, you know, that helps, my kids, you know, just seeing them having a good time.

And then when I'm getting dressed and getting fly, I love that type of stuff. I know that's right. And you always fly. Do you style yourself or do you have a stylist? I style myself. And then when I run out of things, because traveling it gets like that, I have relationships, you know?

Cause I've been around for a while. So I'll call and have them pull me some pieces or go shop. You know, that helps me to listen. That's a little therapy. Oh, I love me some shopping, baby! Shop, shop, shop! Yes. Shopping, eating.

Eating is- Yes, we can hang out, because we like to do the same things. Because we like to do the same thing. But I was about to say something else, but I'ma keep it positive. It's one more thing I like. As she says, she says the best. I'ma not say it, but everybody know what I'm talking about.

But that keeps me good. Yes. Balance. Balance, I love good. Yes. Balance. Balance. I love it. I love it. You are the oldest of six. Yeah.

Have you ever felt survivor's remorse for being the one who made it and trying to like pull everybody up with you or even holding everybody up? How was that experience? Cause I definitely dealt with that. And it was really tough. And I think that's what drove me to my first panic attack and having anxiety was because like and then

like how do I keep all this up because I got a you know saying keep this life for everybody now. I did it all the way up until I have my first child. Wow. That's what I said okay all bets are off. I have my own responsibility here. Absolutely. You know what I'm saying? And then especially when you find yourself pouring, pouring, pouring, pouring into people and it's not reciprocated in no kind of way, you know, because some people might not be able to pour into you the same kind of way or it might not be cost- but some kind of way. And that's okay. Make it reciprocate. Make it make sense, you know, because then if I'm pouring you can't pour back into me now I'm empty. I have nothing left. I have nothing left and I feel like that's not fair right so I only pour into people and it's not like

intentional but I pour into people that I feel reciprocation from like even like with my sisters I pour into them they help me with my kids too I have two sisters and they got my kids now. You know what I'm saying? So, in those ways or ways where you could call me and make my day better or you give me good vibes. I got this one friend named Daniel. Oh my God, every time I see Daniel, he just makes me happy.

I enjoy him so much. And it's like, just little stuff like that. It don't have to be you buying me this something really expensive, or it don't have to be what I do for you. It just have to be some type of way you pouring to my cup. You know what I'm saying? And cause I can't, I'm not doing that to myself.

You're not leaving me empty. So once I seen him, that made me realize like, oh no. I need to have my cup full for my baby. You know what I'm saying? That made me realize like, oh no, I need to have my cup full for my baby. Yes. I love that. Yeah. You spoke about your, on a recent interview about one of your regrets being buying a mansion.

And I literally, two years ago, I bought like a multi-million dollar home, seven bedrooms. I'm by myself in this house. And when I saw you say that, I felt so seen. Because I was literally in the process of like, I need a downsize. Because what, why did I do this? Like all the money on that mortgage for what? And all the down payment.

Ma'am. And the maintenance. Ma'am, the maintenance. I had a pool. Oh, see I didn't, oh, I know that. I had a yard, I had a pond. Oh yeah, that's. There's a play had a pond. Oh yeah, that's- There's a koi fish in there.

Oh yeah, that is a bill. Baby. What? No. Then I had a grass that was made out of an elephant. So I had to keep that trim. When I went in that garage, she said I had it. I had to keep me trim.

Hello, it was a lot of trimming. I had cars keep me trim. Hello. It was a lot of women. Cars. Cars. Wow. So if I feel like we are similar in this area as well. And then all the doors at night. You want to make sure every door you have is maintenance everywhere. So everything has to be intact.

So now you got it's just, I said, you know what? I can't do it. Mm hmm. Since I'm with you. And then I didn't have a man. Yeah. It's like, I said, you know what? I can't do it. Since I'm with you. And then I didn't have a man. Yeah. It's like, nope. Yeah. Not gonna happen.

Nah. And I let it go. That's amazing. I'm proud of you for that. Thank you. Because a lot of times I think you would get money. We get a lot of money. Yeah.

And then it's like, we do things that we just, I can do it. I can afford it. I can afford it. I can do that. Like I got it. But then you start to educate yourself and you're like, wait a minute,

I can be doing a lot with this money. And I can still have a beautiful home for half the price of this. That's another- And it's something that I don't even need all this. And you're not there half the time anyway. Like, you know, but you want to come home and be comfortable, but like, do you need all that?

Yeah, but do you need all that? What was that self like reflection? When you were like, girl, you don't need all this? I think it's when I came to Atlanta to film BMF. I had a condo, a high-racks. And that view. That bit sexy. That light. Yes.

And it was only like $5,000 a month or something at the time. Now it's probably a little bit more Atlanta one up. It has, yeah. But I'm like, wow. And then I just felt like a bachelorette. Yes. I was having the time.

I got valet outside. Right. It's a view, restaurants everywhere. Mm-hmm. Right here. No line, no elephants in. What was it? The elephant.

It was making. No elephants in the trail. Girl, no pond and koi fish. None of that. The pool has already got the maintenance. That's all in there. It's already in there, and it's sexy, and it's grown, and it's just rich. It's still the life I it's sexy and it's grown and it's just rich.

It's still the life I said, oh, I'm overdoing it. Overdoing it, yeah. I'm overdoing it. Especially for me, not to have no kids or a family. I feel like that's when you have a family and it's a big family and y'all have a couple dollars and you need that space in different rooms. I feel like that's what mansions are for.

They're not for single people. I didn't have not one kid. Girl, that's me sitting in that house. You don't have any? None. Here in every crack creek. And I'm like, what's that? You just sitting there.

Jumping scared. So what, did you move? I haven't yet. I really just came to this realization in the past month. OK. Yeah, and then I saw you sit there, and I was like, girl, that is me. But I got a condo in Miami, just like you.

I got a condo in Miami. It's you. I got a condo in Miami. It's on like 1200 square feet. It's perfect. You love it there. I love it. You wanna go there? 41st floor. 41st? I'm not mad at that.

I mean, the sky, honey. I like that. It's gorgeous. And like, even Wes, he went for his birthday, I said, you just go stay at the condo because we were in New York for Fashion Week. And he's like, I see why you come down here and don't wanna, I said, you just go stay at the condo, cause we were in New York for Fashion Week. And he's like, I see why you come down here and don't want, I said, yeah.

He said, so peaceful. It's just so peaceful that. I'm with you. See, oh see, yeah. And my realtor, she was like, I called and I said, I think I want a downside. She said, girl, they got this new condo built in here. She said, I got you.

Yeah, so I'm thinking I'm gonna get a downside to that. You should, you should. You should, especially until you have kids. Yeah, it don't exist. Like, just wait it out. You don't even need that right now. I mean, it's good. It's not good.

It's not. There's no way I could see, because there's so much money into it. It's you spend so much money, you're not even really all the way safe. No, no. You know, because houses is not like, my house got broken into here.

Yes. You know, so, and then you by yourself, you a woman. Mm-hmm. Yeah. I'm like, I can't even imagine that violation. And just even the state of the world right now, I see all these posts about this outage

that's gonna come and the blackout. And one guy was just saying, he was like, imagine he said when people who aren't prepared haven't eaten in three days, what are they gonna do? They're gonna start breaking into houses. They're gonna be in flight or flight mode and like trying to survive and I was like that's really scared We're not safe. Yeah, you know saying I'm like Come here you know I don't want to be in your women. We want to be soft. Yes, but I might want to feel like shoot him up, baby

We want to be soft. Yes, please. Don't nobody want to feel like, shoot them up, baby. No. No. Don't nobody feel like that. No. Speaking of shoot them up, bang bang, one of my guilty pleasures is mafia, drug, movies,

and TV shows. OK. It just makes you feel like that. I love them so much, especially when they're true stories. Yeah. Like, it don't matter what it is. Because you're like, that really happened? Yes.

I'm fascinated by it. I'm just like, oh my gosh how people love like true crime. I love like the mafia mob and gang movies Okay, so when it came to BMF true story and story time. I auditioned for Monique So when I saw them I Swear, so, you know when you don't get you like who got it You look at like who got it and then when get it, you're like, who got it? You looking like, who got it? And then when I saw you, I was like, she's perfect. Because sometimes you're like, man, I swear.

And it's so funny because we're like the same. Like as we kick and it's like we're in the same. Baby, that was your role. Same cloth. Yeah. Cloth from the same cloth. It was so good. That's crazy.

Yeah, she really died in real life. Before he moved to Atlanta, she died. Oh my goodness. That was his first baby mama, and she passed away. Wow. So I knew that that was going to happen. Yeah. I just wanted to stay a little bit longer.

Yeah, me too. Because I was having a good time. And everyen, yeah. I just wanted to stay a little bit longer. Yeah, me too. Cause I was having a good time and every time it aired, I was like so excited to see because I didn't watch nothing until it aired. Oh, that's good. So you were surprised with the August. So I could be surprised and plus not sitting there critiquing myself and just like nervous and have anxiety and wanting to change stuff and I can't.

So everything was out of my control. So I was like, I'm just gonna let this fly. Smart, yeah. And I just watched it with the world. I love, and then I also loved D.R. from Detroit. Yeah. I don't know why you better be in your acting bag. No, I didn't. I didn't even know about that show,

but I absolutely, I love D.R. Kilpatrick and Shannon, another one of my friends, he's on that show too. And John, there's a few people that I know on that show, but I love that. So when I saw you on there too, I was like, you better be working. And I liked that role.

Yes. Like Monique was my girl too, because Monique was a player. Like you got these two men going crazy out here. I'm not mad at her at all. So I was, I ain't mad at Monique. But it was like, you know, she, she was kind of wild a little bit.

She had her little, you know. You know? But it was acting and it was fun. But I liked that I could go into being gang on the ER. I was like, yeah. No, you was that girl boss. Yeah, I loved that. So now I need to be in a movie where I'm shooting up something. There you go, listen.

I need to be shooting. I need to be... Bop bop bop bop bop bop. I need to be rolling around on the ground. Right. Hiding under cars like, I want to do that. Put it out there. It's going to happen.

I want to do that. I want to do that. You know, at one time I want to be a crack head. Listen, I've actually auditioned for a character where I was a heroin addict. Listen, the stuff that you auditioned for. What? And I'm not mad at that because I be wanting to see the range.

The range, honey. And just having fun. I want to look crazy. I want people to see me in a different light. Yes. And I'm not mad at that because I be wanting to see the range. The range honey. Like that girl really can act. Yes. Yes. She's crazy. Now did you do like acting classes? How did you prepare for these roles? I did an acting class with Tasha Smith. Oh, I love Tasha. Yeah, I love her. She's so good. I did

a couple classes with her, but other than that, I didn't do anything, but I'm about to do some more. Okay, got it, amazing. Well, you body those roles. Thank you. That's amazing, I love that. I appreciate that, yeah. Yeah, I appreciate that, yeah.

What else is next for you? Well, more acting. More acting, yes. I'm getting back to it in March. Finishing the worst of this tour. Yeah. Really, getting to products. Yeah. I'm really getting to products. Yeah.

And like different. Cause I be wanting to sit at home. Baby, that's another thing. What can I do that can make money when I'm sleeping? Because I have to make money. Mm-hmm. So if it's between getting on the road and not making money, I'm getting on the road.

Kind of a switch was like... Yeah. Like, even knowing that, you know, given birth, you could... that's a risk. Listen, that is one of my greatest fears.

Yes, you could... death or life or death. Yeah. And then you created life. And you create life in the process. So it's like, you know, just knowing that and overcoming and coming out on the positive side of things. It was like, I'm just grateful. And I get closer to God and just knowing how he operates

and having and getting closer as being more intuitive with him and he's showing me things and it's happening. And happening and I'm like wow that was you you told me that yes and it's like it just brings me closer because I know you're real you know because I mean coming up we don't know for sure no we don't parents come on we just you start realizing that on your own you live in this thing called life and you see how it operates with him and it's spiritual. You start to learn like, okay, I gotta get closer with him, you know? And I still feel like I can be closer. Yeah, I feel like it's an evolving relationship. Yeah, like, almost like how we... It is. So always, yeah, like, yeah, yeah. To keep evolving in and just, yeah, I'm with you on that.

And I feel like, in this past year, I feel like every conversation I had with friends, at some point God comes up, having those, because all the tension and everything is going on, I feel like he's just pulling us closer and closer. And I feel everything was going on in the world. Girl, it's too much. It's too much.

It's like, I was thinking about like, I'm not about to drive to Memphis. I'm going to get on a plane and I'm gonna go on a plane, this plane flipped over. I'm not going. Baby, it's scary. Like, I'm not about to drive to Memphis. I'm going to get on a plane and I'm going on a plane. This plane flipped over. I'm not going. It's scary. Like I don't think I've prayed.

It's always like, thank you Lord for letting us make it here safe. Now it's like, I want to kneel down on the floor before we take off. Heavenly Father, please let us make it. Like you're very intentional now about like, am I going to get there safely? Because it's crazy because it's like, you know what's so crazy? I think that you can speak things to existence and also think it oh absolutely when you have that stuff on your brain all day and every day and you don't want

to have this on your brain all day because sometimes it happens when you just thinking about it and you you manifest in this yeah but it's like you can't help when you get on the internet this is all you see in your face yeah like I had to cut log out it's like it's like let me just give this a break I had to start doing like a time limit on my social media like on Instagram okay like two hour daily limit throughout the day I can only be in it'll say for two hours two hours yeah because it is it's so much negativity I'm gonna have to take that yeah cuz it'll consume me like I be moving around so much mm-hmm like when I do get a chance to get on

there I'll be in there. Oh, and stuck. You'll be stuck. You'll be finding out all the new stuff. Like, dang, they got engaged! Oh, she pregnant? Oh, wow! Them boots fly. Let me in there and send stuff and I'll be buying. It takes up so much time. Yeah, it does. So I'm gonna take that. Yes, I love that. Give me a limit a day. Yep, just a limit.
