Starting point is 00:00:00 Did you know Mark that out to lunch is back? Is this the podcast in which people have an interesting conversation whilst having lunch? Yes, yes, you're absolutely right. There's a new host, A. Deadminson, who's always very good. Always very good. I always think of him doing that bank ad. Do you remember? I don't remember that. He used to be shown as an advert in cinema. Really? Yeah, he would go in as Vivian from the young one. Was he Vivian? Yes. Yes.
Starting point is 00:00:27 And, uh, assuming that he couldn't get a bank account because he looked like he was a punk. Yeah. And they went, no, we'd like to welcome you in. I've played gigs on the same stage as him because he has a band. And I think when we played Crop-Radi that time, they were on, I think before us. So I think technically they were supporting. Right. So kind of below you in the music food chain.
Starting point is 00:00:45 Yeah, although I might be imagining that, it might be the other way around. I can't quite, I know the buzzcots were on afterwards. So who are we going to hear on this podcast? Well, a host of great stars. Including Chris behind. She's Fab, superstar producer Tony Visconti. He's great. An actor's reshish Smith and Daisy Hagger.
Starting point is 00:01:02 Both brilliant. Who knows what will be said over a few starters and mains. I mean, I think if I was invited, I would always insist on an amuse bush just to cleanse the palate. We haven't been invited. This is clearly because it would cost too much money. You have very expensive taste. Well, hello there. It's Aide Edmondsony and I'm delighted to tell you that I am the new host
Starting point is 00:01:30 of the rather popular podcast Out to Lunch. Yes, me. Now, if you've not heard before, what happens is this, I take some amazing and rather fascinating people out for a slap-up lunch at a wonderful restaurant and press record. So in a way it's like you're sat at the table with us. You'll need to bring your own food though. This season I talked the likes of the coolest person I know, Chrissy Hind. So in order to have it I could play it when I was 17 Jimmy Page did the ride until he was 22. I guess that's quite a lot. Was that your line? It was, yeah. Amazing. That's for me history right there.
Starting point is 00:02:11 My favorite author of Scottish crime drama, Sir Ian Rankin. I remember Sean Connery once asked me if I would ghost his autobiography, but he wasn't going to dish the dirt. He was going to tell any of the really juicy stories. And I thought, you know, if it's a very safe text, it'll be me who gets to blame by publishers. So I decided to turn them down. The man who turned down Sean Connery. Wow. The legendary Tony Visconti. You know, when you do a David Bowie album, you're doing a foodie album. You know, I never imagined that. Because he was always so thin. I was like, well, he probably doesn't eat very much. I see. He's like good food, you know like, I never saw him eat a slice of pizza.
Starting point is 00:02:46 Now, he always had to go to a fine restaurant. And the multi-talented Daisy Haggit and she was telling mothers of the school gate. She was telling people that I'd been too busy for murder. And that's just for starters.
