Thank you to our Patreon producers, Carl Jacobs, Omega Buster, and Delaney, the Somme, Twining. Let's get to it. The topic of the show. Tons, Tons, Tons, Tons, Tons, Tons, Tons. Real quick, speaking of Carl Jacobs, the text came the other day, he's a big double-fine fan. He said, said, do you, Did you play Keeper?
Starting point is 00:02:42 And he responded, I super don't know how, but if you need someone, but I know someone if you needed someone. And I waited for, and I was like, dog, I'm talking about the new double-fying game.
Starting point is 00:02:55 Are you talking about a goalie? And he said, oh my God, L-M-A-L, yeah, 100% I thought you meant goalie. I love that he was just fucking ready. I know what he did. I know a guy.
Starting point is 00:03:06 I know a guy who could play soccer. I was awesome. I had such an insane past all the days. Couldn't play the game. No joke though. I need you to ask him who he knows. We need somebody. We need somebody for sure. That is so freaking funny. Today's topic
Starting point is 00:03:21 is the 10 games to know me. This is a trend that's been going around the internet. You know, whether it's Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, all those things. You take your profile picture or any picture you have it yourself and you surround it with a bunch of JPEGs of your favorite video games. Maybe not necessarily
Starting point is 00:03:37 favorite. This is a very interesting prompt here, right? The 10 games to get to know me is kind of there to know me is what we're working with here. So all of us had to kind of sit and think and it's hard. You might be like, oh, of course I can come up with that super easily. I know me
Starting point is 00:03:53 better than anybody. Yeah, right. And then you start riding the games out and all of a sudden your 10 games is like 30 games and you're like, all right, well, if I have to whittle this down, what's I going to look like? Then you get to that final 10 and you're like, am I really not going to put this game, this game in this game? But then you look at the ones you have on your list, you're like,
Starting point is 00:04:09 am I wrong? Did everyone share that level? Yeah. Mike was like, isn't this just going to be our top 10 on our top 100? And I was like, no, not at all.
Starting point is 00:04:19 And he goes, I'm looking at mind. And right now it kind of is. And then I continue to hear Blessing and Mike have these discussions. I'm shocked that they didn't go into the meeting room into our conference room just to sit down and talk to it. There was so many blessing going, what do you think of this, Mike and Mike,
Starting point is 00:04:33 you know what? Do another one with a different picture. And at the best he was like, that's a lot of Photoshop. Mike. Can't be doing that right now. I like the new Mike's criticisms. Use a different picture.
Starting point is 00:04:44 You're deep in it. Yeah. I think it had to bring me back because I was going to just do my top 10. And he said, no, Mike. Imagine we got in an elevator and wanted to describe you to someone who doesn't know you. Yeah. Let's pick 10 games like that where they would go, oh, I know Mike now. I know his taste.
Starting point is 00:05:00 I know his style. It's fun. And so I moved away from my top 10 because I was going to give it to you. I was going to give it to you. I was going to get a top 10 and say, there you go. And we moved into a little more fun, wacky. If you were to describe Snowbike Mike to a friend, what would they get out? I like that.
Starting point is 00:05:15 It also allows you to kind of not have to think necessarily critically about the games. Like you can look at a game and be like, I know it's not the best in the franchise, but it means the most too many, you know? Or like the elements of it are the things that I enjoy the most. It's very much personality-based where I, when we did the Mountain Rushmore stuff, I always talked about how I love kind of covering all bases and not. not just, you know, I like doing the past, I like doing the present, kind of like getting an all-around approach. And it's like, you know, what are 10 movies that represent you? Dumb and Dumber is not
Starting point is 00:05:49 in my top 10 movies of all time, but it's like that's a 90s comedy, you know what I mean? Like, you know, that's a genre that's important. Chris Farley, you know, that's sort of stupid shit that you have to throw those in there to represent that, you know, cover those bases. Yeah. So very, very fun. There's a lot of things that I want to consider before we even look at the list here because I think we all know each other and our gaming taste very well. But before we look at it, I do kind of want to guess some of it, like, a mini shit list, if you will. Okay.
Starting point is 00:06:18 I like it. I'm just trying to say like what we think might be on or games that we'd be shocked aren't on. I guess that's probably the better way to go. I like that on each of our list. And also, I want to think about what game do you think is on the most of our list? Is there any game that's on all four of our list? That's really, really good.
Starting point is 00:06:37 I don't think there is. I think based on how we make these, how we're making these lists for ourselves, I think I know, at least I know for me, and I assume for y'all, there's this almost like self-conscious feeling of like, I can't have overlap. You know what I mean? Like, there are games where I'm like, I know Tim has this on his, I know Andy for sure has X, Y, Z game on his list.
Starting point is 00:06:55 And I don't want to, I don't want to make a list that I know is half of Andy's list. There's one game that would be three out of the four. I already know it. Yeah. Three out of four. I can already point to the three of us. What is it? And there's one game.
Starting point is 00:07:05 There will be a halo title that is shared between you, and Andy. Or Halo as a franchise will at least be shared between the three of us. I would put blessed, but, you know, we got to get them on later this year. Later this year, we bring you to the greatest. Don't you worry. Or next year, I could say. If we just played like a few more months of Halo Infinite, I'd be there.
Starting point is 00:07:23 So like, okay, predictions-wise, where should we start? Because I, when I look, when I think of a game that just automatically ties to somebody, and it's not like the most obvious thing, I think of something like Jet Force Gem and I with blessing. Oh, so this comes back to how I went about this list. Because I had no joke, I had four different drafts. One of them was similar to Mike where I was like, all right, here's 10 of my like favorite games.
Starting point is 00:07:50 Another one was, and this is the one I'm going with. This is when I'm in a professional setting. Yeah. And this is when I'm just hanging out parting. The one that I'm going to use for this episode is I divided my gaming, I guess like tastes into 10 different categories essentially. The puzzle poppy, the platforming poppy, the Perry copy, all of those I put in one game to represent my gaming hole.
Starting point is 00:08:10 Yeah. Right? I wanted to find every single kind of strand of what are the games that I love and what's a game that represents each of those fans. That gaping gaming hole. Yes. That said, I have another list that I made that was essentially 10 games to know me deeper. Like, if you, I love this.
Starting point is 00:08:25 Because everybody knows like the games that I love. Now we're on the fourth day. So here's my thing. On that 10 games to know me deeper thing, that is where Jeff Forge Gemini lives. Ah. Where it's like, that's a game that is. like not my favorite game ever. It's not like a, oh, this is the type of game that I love
Starting point is 00:08:41 or whatever, but it's a game that I fuck with. Jeff Ford Shemini is a game that I fuck with. I'm ready, yeah, we're on the sixth date already. We've been dating for three weeks and now I'm ready for you to get, you're gonna, like, know me deeper right now. Sonic Classic, bless. Share your Sonic closet with me.
Starting point is 00:08:57 Dude, I tweeted a thing. So I tweeted that I made like four different lists. And I got multiple replies of people being like, we're Sonic on the list. He put Sonic on the list. Legitimately, this isn't even like a bit. This isn't me like trying to keep Sonic off the list. I don't have a Sonic game I would put on any of the list. I love Sonic.
Starting point is 00:09:15 And this is me, this is not me trying to run from the Sonic thing. I don't like it. Legitially. I don't like it. I would put a Sonic on your list. But which Sonic? I don't love a Sonic that much. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:09:26 Yeah. It's the weird thing where I'm like there's not one Sonic game I'd put. Even as a franchise, I think I over, I'm not even going to say that I oversell it. There's not a Sonic game in my top 50 games. And that's just how it is. Like, that's not like me running from it. Like, I don't know. It's just not on my list.
Starting point is 00:09:42 Tim doesn't believe me. I believe you in the sense of like a single Sonic game. Like, yeah, I, let's trust me. I understand. Yeah. I think the closest analog is blessing to Sonic is me to Gundam, even though it's not that close because I don't, I've watched, you know,
Starting point is 00:09:59 I watched Gun and Wing back in the day. And I see it. I mark out like Blessing does when he sees a shadow on a t-shirt and goes, That's a fucking cool dude. That's fucking sick-ass t-shirt. Whenever I see any gun, I'm like, oh, God, mix is the coolest shit ever.
Starting point is 00:10:12 But, like, whenever people ask me, what's your favorite Gundam show? I'm like, I don't watch Gundams. I don't know. Like, I'm kind of the same where it's like, I watched Gunnamb Wing back in the day, but I don't know what that, I don't remember shit.
Starting point is 00:10:24 But for me is that exact thing, where there was somebody who replied to me and essentially made a fan art of me and my 10 favorite Sonic games or whatever to try and just meme it. And I looked at it. I didn't reply, but I was like,
Starting point is 00:10:33 I'm not played half of those games. Yeah. Like, part of me is a fake Sonic fan. Like, I genuinely love Sonic, but I'm like, I've not played Sonic Adventures 1 and 2. Man, you're doing such good PR right now for your dating profile. Like, this is crazy, you know. You like the culture. But it's that thing where I'm pretty sure, not even pretty, I've definitely oversold myself
Starting point is 00:10:50 as a Sonic fan the first, like, year of kind of funny, where I was all into it. I was trying to find a thing. You know what I mean? I was like, what's my thing? And I went there before last time. Oh, my God. And I went all in on Sonic. Mike lives there perpetually.
Starting point is 00:11:03 I'm in there. You're a student from the hip, Stanford clothing. Where have I been this weekend? I love Sonic, but motherfucker Sonic isn't like my top 50. Like, it's not all the entries of my top 50. It is interesting how much you're focusing on this concept of top and the quality of stuff.
Starting point is 00:11:20 Because I guess that what I like about this is games to describe you, that doesn't mean the same thing to everybody. Oh, sure. There's a level of quality that I think Bless is requiring for his. That for me, I'm like, I'm not at all. Like, I'm very much more vibes based. not to say that the like I'm pretty sure all the games on mine are very high quality but um it's it's there's
Starting point is 00:11:40 definitely better games yeah most of them I would say and I think a lot of mine is also just it's always kind of clashing again where I try to represent a lot of my past but then like you know I played a lot of sports games in my past and those aren't on my list and maybe that's because I just don't really go after sports games a whole lot like I used to back in the day but But yeah, for me, it's just, I'm just trying to kind of represent a lot of different areas that, you know, I'm not just going to go 10 action RPGs or my top 10. Like I think, looking at my top 10, there's a couple of omissions and I'm like, shit, I can't believe I didn't put that there. But yeah, because maybe it's too basic and general of a recommendation or I don't know. It's a weird one.
Starting point is 00:12:28 I really had to sit with myself with a lot of them because like, yeah, obviously you want more fun, unique picks. but there are just some games that I'm like, yeah, it is the most obvious thing, but I don't care because it really does represent me, my taste and all of that. But, yeah, I tried to make the list and not think about representation or over representation or any of that stuff.
Starting point is 00:12:47 And when it got down to it, I had to make some calls that I'm like, all right, maybe this just means I like this thing enough to have two of it, and that means I'm not having two of these other things, you know? Yeah. It's one of those things where when you play a game and you're like, this is going to be my whole personality for two months.
Starting point is 00:13:05 That's where I had to kind of, like, looking at my list and I'm like, wow, I don't have a Zelda game online. And that's crazy to me because I have a lot of Zelda games in my top 20, but like it's just kind of you're, that those are the, you have to sort of put stuff on the chopping block, you know? Got to chop it. Mike, do you have Man Eater? Damn, no. Love that fucking man eater. You're a shark.
Starting point is 00:13:32 You're a shark dude. It's like you get me, Andy. What we should have done is the reverse where we pitch our friends and we put your top 10s. Like I picked him. We can do that. We can do that also.
Starting point is 00:13:43 It's like, you know, pitch your best friend on a day type event, that blessing you've gone to before. You said it was a lot of fun. It was a lot of fun. Yeah, we got to do that. But like I pitch my friends in their games. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:53 Because I mean, I feel like, all right, Eldon Ring is on Andy's list. Absolutely. Okay. Is it on blessings list, though? Liza P? Lise P isn't on Andy's list. Because he's not on Andy's
Starting point is 00:14:05 Because Andy's going to put Bloodborne Before he put Eliza P And he's not going to have Bloodborn 2 He's not going to have the right thought process What about Dark Jones 2? He's not going to have three of those things He's not going to have three of those things
Starting point is 00:14:14 What about Dark Souls 2? The best of the franchise I mean how many Souls games is Andy? I think Andy's putting Bloodbourne and Eldon Ring Blood Born and Eldon Ring for sure And that goes back to kind of what I'm saying of like yeah is that over representation Sure
Starting point is 00:14:25 But Andy I think leans that way of like There has to be over representation of that because like Eldering and BloodBorn are equally important to you in different ways. I think I could guess. I'm going to go for four. Okay.
Starting point is 00:14:41 Whose list do you think would be easiest? Andy. At least for me, I think Andy's would be easiest. He's my best friend I can guess. Blood. Wait, should me and Mike make this a competition? Who can guess more than people? I think about it a lot.
Starting point is 00:14:57 I like that. Okay, let's do that. Competition between Bless and Mike. No, I've already have a Reef list. Oh, you have already seen it? Well, I had to look at it. Okay. He got a cool photo.
Starting point is 00:15:06 He didn't even know that I posted it. And he was like, you posted on social and everybody was like, Mike, how the fuck didn't you know? And I assumed that he blocked me because he was mad at me. Oh, what's funny is I forgot you even posted your list. I forgot that I saw all the games on there, but I don't remember any of the games that are on his list. Okay, well, let's go back and forth. You any? Eldon Ring.
Starting point is 00:15:24 Yeah, that's a good one. Bloodboard. Liza P. We already ruined the back and forth, by the way. I already ruined it. Eldon Ring, Blood-Born, Outerwiles is going to be on his list. Hyperlight Drifter.
Starting point is 00:15:37 At least those four games. Yeah, yeah, of course, of course. He fucked me on that other one, though. Which one? I'll never forgive you. Which one? Hyperlight breaker. I didn't fuck you on that.
Starting point is 00:15:46 If I'm going for a fifth one, I don't know which it will be, but either Overwatch and Valorant, not both. Oh. Either Overwatch or Valerrant, but not both. A big Overwatch, and I know for a fact, to make a Maddox. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:00 Yeah. Rodgers are all great gay guesses. fucking Roger, dude fucking Roger, dude. I thought we hired from within the community. Don't watch the content. Roger. Roger didn't know I love Mega Men next.
Starting point is 00:16:11 Unbelievable. What stems? I think Mike's is the least predictable. I would have thought you guys would say mine's the most predictable because I feel like there's like I don't Tim's got a halo. He's got a Mario.
Starting point is 00:16:22 Does he have a halo? Yeah, he's got a halo. He's got a halo. He has Super Mario 64. He has Super Smash Bros. Oh, the melee or ultimate. Yeah, I like that. The ultimate is like that.
Starting point is 00:16:33 He's got a Tony Hawk. He has a Tony Hawk, for sure. Tony Hawk's in there. He has Prince of Persia's the last crown. No, Tony Hawk three. Oh, okay. Prince of Persia's the last crown is on there for sure. Prince of Persia's good.
Starting point is 00:16:41 No, San's a time. No. He's probably got Hades. He's probably got Hades on there. Oh, I don't know. He really fucks me. No, but he loves Hades. I don't know if like that's what he would say this, like,
Starting point is 00:16:53 I don't know if that's how he would describe himself to people. You're right, here's my three-pointer. Pokemon, Soul, Silver. Oh, he's got a Pokemon on that for sure. He's got a Pokemon. Yeah. That's a great call. What do they call the gold one?
Starting point is 00:17:06 Hard gold? Hard gold, yeah. Hard gold. Soul silver, yeah. Yeah, bless he was a step back. He's got a final fantasy on there for sure. Seven. No, no.
Starting point is 00:17:18 Ten. It's eight or nine. You think so? I think it's eight or nine. It's ten because when I was drawing the games cast characters in the intro, he was like, draw me his Tis. Ah, that's cool. I was like, all right.
Starting point is 00:17:28 I'll start you. Big T. Yosuzes Island, by the way. Yoshi's Island for sure. Oh, that's a good one. Oh, I would have gone Yoshi's Willie World. Life's the same words now. I would have gone with Kirby's yarn adventure, whatever the fight that gave it's an epic yarn.
Starting point is 00:17:43 Crash Bandicoot? Yeah. Oh, yeah. But is it going to be Crash Team Racing? The Cooter. No, it won't be. You don't think it'll be Team Racing? No, no.
Starting point is 00:17:51 He lost car racing. I'm telling you right now. It's Crash Team Racing. Yeah. Wow. Whoa. I know him. There's a twist.
Starting point is 00:17:57 I know this guy. Okay, okay. Damn. I like that. Let's see, we have a super job from J.B. Bonifacio, who says Final Fantasy 7. This is for Tim's List. X-Person 33, Metal Gear Solid, DDR, or maybe that's your link.
Starting point is 00:18:11 I think that's just a terrorist, yeah. But a lot of these... There was some crossover. I'll say this looks like a Tim List. Wipeout. Don't-Gong Country, Luminous, Wip Out, X-O. Yeah, there's... You got taste, Dave.
Starting point is 00:18:22 How about that luminous demo? Jesus. Oh, my, fuck. Holy shit. Jesus. Mike's going to have... I won't let y'all know. Y'all crushed it.
Starting point is 00:18:30 Yeah, like. We got you nailed, but you got that. Mike, Final Fantasy 10. Oh, God, I hope so. My whole personality now, you know. He's got Final Fantasy 10. He's got Fall guys. Yeah, that's good.
Starting point is 00:18:45 NBA Street. That's good. Yeah, NBA Street's going to be on there. Gamebreaker. One of the backyard sports things. Oh, yeah, backyards to be there. Coach Mike. He looks at Coach Mike right now.
Starting point is 00:18:55 Mike. You look like you're in the first conference. That's why I'm taking all these campus tours. They're offering me coaching jobs. Yeah. I'm trying to get that sweet coaching job where they hire me. They fire me two years later. I get the full paycheck.
Starting point is 00:19:06 Mike, who were you before you were hired here? Because I'm trying to think of like Mike's history as a gamer. I mean, it's pretty simple. And I can only think of things that you played since we went through. Kevin A. Sacks brought up my streaming stats. What's my number one most streamed game, Andy calls guys? No, no, you know.
Starting point is 00:19:19 Oh, Fall Guys is number two with 300 plus hours. Warzone? What's, Warzone? Oh, war zone. Yeah. 900 hours.
Starting point is 00:19:27 Yeah. That's nine months of kind of funny content. We stream on average about 150 to 124 hours a month. That's nine months of kind of funny. I mean, it was every day during kind of funny. It was going home or not going home, but just staying home during the pandemic. Okay.
Starting point is 00:19:45 Good calls with the backyard sports. Yeah, Coach Mike. I would also. I don't think he's going to have them on there. Of course, girls. Don't forget about it. Do you know how many shirts he owns with those characters on it? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:55 I have two sunflower seed buckets. Yeah. Nobody loves backyard sports that much. much. He does. They're making an animated show. That much. They're making an animated show.
Starting point is 00:20:04 10 games. It is pretty exciting. He's playing Keisha Phillips. It's like here. She's definitely playing Keisha Phillips. Well, they announced it. Yeah. She's the main character.
Starting point is 00:20:12 Think recess meets backyard. Oh, yeah. That's how I put those two together. That's going to be a good combo. Which yellow is it? Oh, it's two. Yeah, it's the greatest one. That's, yeah, come baseball time.
Starting point is 00:20:22 Yeah. Yeah, I would say two. I would say, okay. Maybe, I guess, Backyards, what might make sense. Now, remember, I would say madden. Now you have to picture this because I changed up.
Starting point is 00:20:33 It's not my top ten. That are not my favorites. This is if you walked into an elevator, people are like, oh, tell me about that Mike guy. These are the tens that you would shoot off at them. I legit. Games to describe Mike's gaming. It's crazy how clearly I can see Tim and Andy's list.
Starting point is 00:20:46 I look at Mike and it's like, I'm trying to read a mind that's like, you know, you put a counter spell on me. It's fucking Professor X trying to read some, but they got the helmet on that. They got the magneto helmet blocking it. I mean, well, that goes. for a lot of his top tens of the year as well.
Starting point is 00:21:02 They're always very... Keeping you guessing. Yeah. That's the point of it. You guys go on one, get ready. Oh, shit. He's going to have Fire Emblem 3 on there, three houses. All right.
Starting point is 00:21:12 Should we get into it? Yeah. I think we should. After a word from our sponsor. This episode's brought to you by Arc Raiders, a multiplayer extraction adventure game where most of humanity shelters underground. But Raiders rise to the surface in search
Starting point is 00:21:26 of something greater. In the Rust Belt, Danger isn't the end of the story. It's the beginning. beginning of the adventure. Every journey above ground is a gamble against the relentless machines of Arc and rival Raiders chasing the same dream. Explorer lethal yet vibrant world scarred by old conflicts and reclaimed by nature, where shifting conditions makes every high state's run unpredictable.
Starting point is 00:21:46 Adventure isn't a choice. It's the price of thriving. You've seen the boys playing Arc Raiders and they're absolutely loving it on all those streams. You can join them too. Arc Raiders. Pre-order now on PlayStation 5 Xbox Series X, S and PC. All right.
Starting point is 00:22:03 You guys didn't guess mine, by the way. Really? Except for the Sonic part, right? Why did I say Willie? Willie? Let's do some quick bless guys here. Okay, quick. Okay.
Starting point is 00:22:13 So we said the Jet Force amount of that's to get to learn blessed deeper. Yeah. That's not the surface one. Yeah, this is first day blessed or is this Perry poppy puzzle poppy? It's everything. I think it's a very representative. There's a street fighter. There's a fighting game on there 100%.
Starting point is 00:22:29 Tech in. Not a street fighter. Tech in. Tech in. Yeah. Nice. And that's the problem. He's cool.
Starting point is 00:22:35 Cool leopard head. I mean, maybe. Tekken and then I'm going to throw Sekiro. This is Zelda. Mario 64. Has to be there. Mario is Zelda. There's got to be some sort of like.
Starting point is 00:22:46 Mario 64, Breath of the Wild. Oh, I like that. Pokemon. But it's going to be one of the OG. Pokemon. I don't know. I don't get Pokemon.
Starting point is 00:22:53 No, no. I don't think so. I know you appreciate it, but no, no. I've never heard Blessing speak passionately a whole lot about, like, Pokemon. I've done a lot of show. Me and Tim have done so many shitless. You do mention mystery dungeon a lot. I think it's going to be run blue.
Starting point is 00:23:11 Okay, okay. How about a GTA? Would we go to that? Oh, GTA. San Andreas. No, San Andreas. I think five. Whenever we talk about the trilogy,
Starting point is 00:23:20 he's always like, San Jose is way better than Vice City. I was like, no, it's not. How about Mist? Never played Mist. For a puzzle here. But GTL online. That's the factor there that they might push it over the edge.
Starting point is 00:23:30 Because, yeah, San Andreas. timeline-wise and I do think that these lists tend to go a little bit more nostalgic. Yeah. You got a lot of PlayStation first party games on this? Who knows? I doubt it. He definitely doesn't ask about a man Miles Morales. Fuck that guy.
Starting point is 00:23:46 A Jack and Dexter? Dexter. I played that for the first time earlier this year. Okay, okay. Watch that TV show, Dexter. Oh, man. Young Dexter, too? Like Young Sheldon.
Starting point is 00:23:58 No, I didn't watch that one. I didn't watch that one. Um, oh, somebody mentioned something on stream yesterday. It may be a spoiler for me. Because they brought up a name. He was like, damn, that is a good call. Dark Cloud. Mm.
Starting point is 00:24:13 Mm. Forget Dark Cloud. Would you dare put Brink on it? No. Burnout. Burnout three. Dark Cloud would be one that I'll put on the game Snow Me Deeper one. Okay.
Starting point is 00:24:24 That'd be in the Jeff Force Gemini conversation of like, I fuck with this. It's not like representative, but I'll fuck with it. Yeah, deep cut. NBA Street, Volume 2. Yeah, he'll have NBA. straight on that. That'll be shared. That'll be a shared one. Can you believe that announcement today? I can't believe it. That's
Starting point is 00:24:37 right. They should have put, they reminisce over top of that. Oh, that would have completed. Okay, yeah, you want to nail this? Just put that. I mean, put Bobby E.O. Garcia in it. Can you believe that? Dude, it's crazy. Wow. And you want to do it like, oh, this is what we're waiting for, is it? Yes. I don't know. Yeah. It just doesn't look quite right.
Starting point is 00:24:55 But we're going to cross our fingers for that. How many do we name? We named like eight or nine or something like that for less, maybe. Wrestling? Will they have a wrestling game? No. No, but will anyone at this table have a wrestling? No.
Starting point is 00:25:06 Okay. No. Damn. Okay. If I make a fifth list, maybe. The digital will be deeper is like actually so good. Yeah. We might need to do that.
Starting point is 00:25:16 I have it, I mean, I haven't pulled. I have it in the assets folder, so. I say let's save that because, like, that's a potentially a good topic, depending on how this goes. No. No. No. Let's get into it. Who should we start with?
Starting point is 00:25:31 You can start with, okay, we start with Tim. We'll start with Tim. Because y'all, y'all guessed most of the games on this. I was so ready for, da-na-na-na-da-na. I thought Greg was coming out. I really thought Greg was coming out. You're going to get to know each other, but not me. So here we go.
Starting point is 00:25:50 We are blocking some of them, but there we go. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. So y'all mailed a lot of these. Mario 64, Final Fantasy 10, Pokemon, Soul, Silver. Tony Hawk 1 and 2 remake, Andy. I like that.
Starting point is 00:26:04 That's where I'm going. I should have guessed Sonic Mania as well. And we got Prince of Persia Lost Crown, which Sansa Time would have been there, but Lost Crown has dethroned it. In every way possible. And also, Lost Crown kind of helped me because it allowed me to not have a Metroid here. Because I feel
Starting point is 00:26:21 like it is best Metroid-Mania ever made. Then we have Yoshi's Island. Of course, you all know, that one as well. NBC. Marvel versus Capcom, yeah. And then, yeah, the ones you didn't say were Marvel versus Capcom. And I had to kind of go back and forth between one and two because I do think I definitely put way more hours into two. And I love the roster of that game so much.
Starting point is 00:26:43 But the art style and music and just overall vibes of MVC one, that to me, I'm like, yeah, I want to be known that way. Like, that's who I am. And then, yeah, Star Fox 64 is definitely one that I, I am just passionately loved. That changed a lot for me too. The voice acting, like to this day, and it's all time and place of being a little kid playing this game, like first rumble pack game,
Starting point is 00:27:10 like, first time you felt vibrations in a game, like that was crazy. But the presentation of it and the voice acting and the cinematic nature of it all, it was the most immersive experience ever. Like, it felt like I was playing Star Wars, you know? And I just, I love the characters in the world. And I hope we get another good one one day.
Starting point is 00:27:28 And I don't think we will. There weren't a whole lot of games that unlocked like certain things in my imagination for me, like Starbox 64 were like, man, I just started creating all sorts of like side care. I was so into that world. And the R-wing, right? It's like obviously the X-Wing is the dopest ship designed in history.
Starting point is 00:27:48 But the R-Wing might be a close second. And then, yeah, Sonic Mania was one for me that I had, I thought of in the shower this morning where I was like, I actually need a Sonic game. Like I have to have one. And it was between Sonic 2, which is definitely the more old school nostalgia pick. But the reality is Sonic Mania with what it did of how it updated the old school retro stuff, made it widescreen, made it HD, the T-lope soundtrack. Like just everything that Sonic Mania is, I'm like, that's what I love about video games.
Starting point is 00:28:18 So it had to make the cut. But that meant that Halo Kombat evolved. That the boot. NBA Street Volume 2. Wow. And Crash Team Racing. Oh, didn't make the cut, but they were all right there. So you're putting, I wouldn't, I guess the one that surprises me is Marvel versus Capcom,
Starting point is 00:28:36 only because I would have expected those over Marvel versus Capcom for you. I love Marvel versus Capcom, man. Okay. I'm not good at it, but I fucking love that game. I love, just the vibes of it are just so immaculate. And whether that was arcade or playing it on PlayStation and whatever, it's like, yeah, Marvel's Capcom, what you got to remember is that this is the game that taught me about Marvel. And I love Marvel.
Starting point is 00:28:59 Like, I learned about Thanos because of Marvel versus Capcom, too. You know what I mean? Like, so that, that franchise and games mean a lot to me. It's interesting. It feels like we got eight out of the ten and like those top two that Marvel versus Capcom and Star Fox would be the ones that we would boot out from the outside and replace it with those three that you just brought up. Interesting. We were close, boys. Close. Very close. Very close. Let's then go to Andy. I do want to shout at the fact to people in chat, like, what is this format?
Starting point is 00:29:26 that the this is a trend that was from Instagram stories and so that's why you're seeing these images of this vertical so I'm sure we're going to post these to Instagram afterwards yeah they're supposed to look kind of janky yeah there we go and he looking hot is my list this is when I dyed my hair wide for John Hammond uh and inhaled a lot of fumes from the silver hairspray yeah I would have got I got yeah go for it so sign of the top we got bloodborne the game that changed it all for me in the modern era. You know, we talk about Mike, like, you know, after the, after the merger in NFL and stuff,
Starting point is 00:30:04 after the ABA and NBA merger, we talk about the modern era. Bloodboard for me is like really the line in the sand for, this is going to dictate a lot of what you are into now. And yeah, Bloodborns at the top for me. Surprisingly, no Zelda's in my list. I mean neither. Despite a lot of Zelda's like in my, top games of all time.
Starting point is 00:30:26 I have Halo Combat Evolve there. Hell yeah. That's the first one that kind of just got me going into multiplayer games and obviously we had Golden Eye and all that shit back in the day, but Halo was really the big formative one. Mass Effect too. I can't believe
Starting point is 00:30:41 we didn't say that for you. Yeah, that's such an obvious one. The, I mean, yeah. And seven day right around the corner. And so what are we going to get? Come on. It's canceled. Yay. Yeah, I mean, the best NPCs of all time And just my favorite franchise, probably of all time
Starting point is 00:30:58 Blessed nailed it with the either Overwatch or Valerant And not both, Overwatch is the one Even though I haven't played it in a long time, It's still the one that I would say is like The Modern multiplayer game that really kind of got me into that style And also, I would say maybe the only one That I played back in the day on controller and then when I started playing keyboard mouse,
Starting point is 00:31:23 like still played it. And that was, you know, it lasted over different eras for me. So you say, like, last nailed it with, it was between Overwatch and Valoran. Did you go through that,
Starting point is 00:31:34 that internal struggle? No, not really. It wasn't too much of a struggle. Like, as much, as many hours as I have in Valerant, I just think it's also like a little too modern still.
Starting point is 00:31:43 And I, I probably have like five times the amount of hours in Overwatch that I do in Valerant. um megan man x is probably the game the number one game that i would have on this list of just like a game one game could describe andy i would go mega man it's the it's shaped my love for pixel art and that style of of animation it made me realize that i love new things and whenever megaman puts on a new suit and it's a new color i go oh i get all excited because it's just it's a different
Starting point is 00:32:17 thing. And then I always I always compare that to whenever people go like, oh, fucking the UI change on the Instagram app or the Twitter. And I was like, I love it. Like I love when like things would change. And I just always have loved color variants since Mega Man X and it kind of informed
Starting point is 00:32:33 a lot of that. The, the 8 bit music, the chip tunes, all of that stuff. Like, it taught me how to play guitar. I would learn how to, I would download the tabs and learn how to harmonize guitars. And that's what was
Starting point is 00:32:47 teaching me like this is what like this is how metal bands sound that way and how their sounds are doing that because mega man was doing a lot of that in their music i love you choosing mega man x is the one game bless mike i challenge you think about it what is the one for you guys by the end of the episode we'll get there metal gear solid rocks i mean doesn't what can you say about metal gear solid was a tough one for me because that is also in that list of like in the contention and it kind of was in there a couple times like i had to do that JPEG and I had to remove it because my big question was which one am I putting? Because my heart of hearts, it's metal your solid four.
Starting point is 00:33:23 I love four so much and it speaks to me so loudly. But I wanted to put one because I feel like it's the, what one has going on is my number one. But because I had that debate, I think it brought both of them down. The first time I ever downloaded and printed out Game Fax lore sheets to just read about the story and just being in middle school and be like, man, this is crazy. Like who could come up with this stuff? Hyperlight Drifter is kind of like my modern day Mega Man X visually, sonically.
Starting point is 00:33:56 It's just like, it's just pure vibes. Awesome. Dashing and great action. Awesome boss fights with great telegraphed boss patterns. Just an awesome video game. Celeste is kind of like the dark horse for me. I would have never picked that for you. It's a game that the more and more I think of it,
Starting point is 00:34:15 I'm like, I think this is probably my favorite indie game. game of all time. The more and more I think of just my experience with it, what it's doing story-wise, and honestly, like, I just think it may be my favorite soundtrack of all time, too. Like, anytime it pops up in my pre-stream, you know, playlist, I have to just, like, mute my mic and go full volume because Lena Rain just dominated that fucking soundtrack. And it's platform perfection. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:43 They got the difficulty curve down so, so well. The abilities that they add are all fun and feel fresh and unique. And I love the kind of single screen format of try and try and try again, but there's not the run back at all. It's just right back into it. Yeah. What a game. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:00 I just love everything. It's doing storywise also. It's so impactful and emotional. I was thinking about Celeste this morning because I've been listening to a podcast series from Dissect podcast. And they've been doing this last album standing thing where they've been pitting albums from the 21st century against each other. And like what they've been doing is.
Starting point is 00:35:17 pairing like, all right, take care and my beautiful dark twist of fantasy came out around the same time. They have similar things going on. So we're going to pair them against each other. I was thinking about like, if I was to do that for games, what would I do? And I was thinking through the best games that have come out in the 21st century and Hades came to mind. And I was trying to think of like, all right, what's another indie game that I'll pit against Hades if I'm doing like a best game with the 21st century conversation? As soon as Celeste came to mind, I was like, oh, that's the one. Celeste is like the other, for me, this 21st century of indie games, I guess just into games in general, right?
Starting point is 00:35:47 Those are the Mount Rushmore. Hades and Celeste are the Mount Rushmore's for sure. Pokemon yellow was so huge for me. Come on. Like, could you follow you around? Dude. I mean, like, I loved Pokemon red back in the day. Like, that's the one that I had. But it was, it was, it was having the Game Boy color with that and having the yellow cartridge and just like, what a, what a, just one of those memories that is so, like, highly encapsulated
Starting point is 00:36:14 that I can remember every detail about that Christmas. And I don't remember a whole lot else about my past, but it's just like that thing I definitely remember. Jesse and James in it. Dude, look how cool Pikachu looks on the cover. Like, man,
Starting point is 00:36:26 let's go back to that shit. It was so badass. But also, that was kind of around after watching the TV show and going, oh, these are actually characters too. And now you're kind of seeing the character stuff brought to, it's like,
Starting point is 00:36:37 oh, I'm just the dude from the character from the TV show. Awesome. And then, yeah, Elden Ring. I had to have two, but not three. Like,
Starting point is 00:36:46 you all nailed it. It's like, I, you know, some, I saw some comments going like, damn, I'm surprised you don't have
Starting point is 00:36:52 Liza P. Or Outer Wilds. That's one that blessed guests that isn't out of my list either. I don't, like, as much as I love Outer Wilds
Starting point is 00:37:00 and think it's like one of the best gaming experiences ever. I don't think it's something that describes me or like, that I could really say, like, this is personality or whatever.
Starting point is 00:37:08 That's how I feel about Breath of the Wild. Yeah. Where I'm just like, yeah, it's probably top three best games of all time for me, but I'm like, it doesn't describe me.
Starting point is 00:37:15 Yeah. So, yeah, that's my list, my top 10. You all did great. That's good. It sucks that Overwatch shut down five years ago and just never, you know. It never kept going. It was on my, uh, Overwatch 2 was on my good. I want to get to bless.
Starting point is 00:37:30 We don't know. Let's save bless because he's going to be, he's going to be a good one. Let's save the Gibbonne. I feel like we know. It saved you for last. Oh, the chaotic. Yeah, nobody knows. Nobody knows what we got.
Starting point is 00:37:39 We get the good good. You know what I mean? Yeah. The only good good. The only fear I have. have about Bless's list is since he has multiple lists, it might spread things out. I love it based on our guessing, but
Starting point is 00:37:49 let's get Blesses up. All right. Love the picture. Yes. We approved this photo yesterday. We approved this photo. So I think quite a few of these guys guessed. Oh, man. How did I not guess Shadow? I mean, come on.
Starting point is 00:38:03 That's really good. Yeah, that's the fuck though. Oh, he mentioned inscription yesterday. I totally forgot that. Yeah. So a lot of what I did with my list was look at the different, like I mentioned, right, different games that kind of fulfill like the different, I guess, archetypes of gamer that I am.
Starting point is 00:38:17 So starting with Super Mario 64, that kind of represents like the platforming side of me, right? Like, and for me that does encompass the DK-64s, the Sonics, right? Like, even the Celeste of the world, the 2D platformers as well. Like I fucking love platformers. Me and Tim, of course, had plenty of shitless episode talking about the top tens and all that shit.
Starting point is 00:38:36 But it all comes back to Mario 64 for me. One, because I was my first video game ever, but then also it's still probably my favorite, if not, I guess, top two or top three video game of all time. I think that game still holds up. And this was, it was a close race between this in DK64. I
Starting point is 00:38:52 went Mario 64 for how much better Mario 64 is overall, but then also for like execution of the platforming. You know what I mean? DK64 is way more of a collectivon. And like, collectathon shit isn't necessarily what brings me to the genre. It worked for me as a kid for DK64, which is why I vibe
Starting point is 00:39:11 with it so much. But Mario 64, thing has the perfect balance of great level design, great execution on the platforming, and I think encompasses everything that I love about a 3D platformer. Yeah, as often we talk about Don Ctober and DK64 being so much of y'all's personalities, it wasn't a question for me that Supermarer's 64 was the choice. I mean, you and Tim Speed ran it, you know, that way you have such a passion for it. We got to run that shit back. Yeah, we do.
Starting point is 00:39:37 I do think Barrett would probably have DK64 on his, though. I think, too. Oh, yeah, probably. next one I got is Portal 2 this is a tough one again like one of the conversations I was having with Mike yesterday was about the branches right like what game kind of leads you into the different
Starting point is 00:39:51 branches and one of the things for me is the puzzle poppy right and so like Portal 2 for me was the the beginning of that like I'm pretty sure Portal 2 was the shifting of my brain into oh wait I'm into this I'm into this like I love being in these puzzle rooms and trying to figure out like how the portal leads to this next thing and that for me leads into me loving games like the witness or
Starting point is 00:40:11 blueprints or manifold garden or superliminal or like ante chamber or even outer wilds which is another battle for me but similar to you i think portal two is more representative of the type of puzzle game that i love more than outer wilds even though outer wilds like i think overall as an experience is so special portal two for me is like that's where it began and that is like the best crystallization of what it is for me um that i love uh i'm gonna jump down to shadow colossus because for me that's puzzle poppy part two in the sense of like that being a puzzle game but in a way more
Starting point is 00:40:43 different narrative sense right like for me shadow colossus kind of feeds into games like eco obviously that I love last guardian that I love but then also things like the pathless even keeper that just came out like there are parts of keeper where I'm like man the same things I love about shadow are what I love about this game
Starting point is 00:41:02 and that even goes to games like Eldon Ring and from soft stuff when we talk about how they world build in those games, how they design the world, the visual language. I know Miyazaki has talked before about how much he's influenced by games like Eco, right? And Shadow Colossus for me was like at that age, the opening of my mind of, wow, video games can be something that's truly special. I've told the story before about how I had borrowed Shadow Colossus and Melius Solid 3 from my friend Addison at the same time and played them back to back. And it was a, it was a changing of
Starting point is 00:41:35 my video game world. Wow. That went from me playing games like Mario, obviously, which I still love Mario, right? But that was like the evolution of playing the Marios of the world. It's now being like, oh shit, video games are art, video games are story, video games are X, Y, Z thing. I want to interrupt real quick. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Remember the, there was an episode of Game Showdown recently where the question was, what are the best five, name the best five remakes in the last, like, five years?
Starting point is 00:42:05 And all of us are so embarrassed when none of us have. had Resident Evil 4 remake because we just forgot it. That's how I feel about Shadow the Colossus. I'm so embarrassed. We didn't think of that. Oh, for my list. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:15 It's like, duh. It's the most. Yeah. I mean, that's the Mass Effect too for you. It's like, yeah. Yeah. So speaking of Eldon Ring, which I brought up in the Shadow Coloss's conversation,
Starting point is 00:42:23 Sekiro, for me, that encompasses the Perry Poppy and me. And this stuff. So the original draft of this list, I showed Barrett and I did have a fighting game on here. I had Soul Calibur 2 on here. Bear looked at it and he was like, I don't associate you that strong with Soul Calibre 2. And I thought about it. I guess I could replace it with Tekken, but then I thought about it further, and I feel like
Starting point is 00:42:40 Sekiro, weirdly enough, encompasses both, like, I think the soul's action game side of me and then also just the fighting game side of me. It's the side of me that just loves timing, impairing, and getting good at a thing and skill and action. Securo's the best one of those that I've ever played. Thrill of the dance. The teching conversation is interesting because we're kind of going back and forward. I expect a Tekken would be on the list, but I was torn because I feel like the answer would just been Tekken 8 because it's the newest one but what is your Tekken I mean now it's TechN 8
Starting point is 00:43:12 yeah I think before TechN 8 honestly it's always the newest Tekken to come out if I'm being real Techin 6 was the one I came in on and then I also owned Tech and Tag tournament back in the day for PS2 but yeah since ever since Tekken 6 I just bought every new tech and like got
Starting point is 00:43:27 obsessed with it and so overall Tekin like if I'm talking about a traditional finding game I don't know if I have one traditional finding game that I'm like this is the one I was thinking about even Smash Brothers to put there, even though that's kind of different, but I think, yeah, Sekiro kind of encompasses all that for me. I was so close to having
Starting point is 00:43:43 Seafood on my list as well. Oh, yeah. I mean, oh, dude, I thought about it. I think I talked to Tim about that, too. Yeah, Seafood almost had the spot over Seqoro. Fallout 3, for me, that's like the open world RPG side of me. It was between Fallout 3 and Cyberpunk 2077, but I think Fallout 3 was the one that
Starting point is 00:44:01 opened me up more into the world of like open world RPGs and Western RPGs and I think represents everything that I love about that genre the conversations, the dialogue trees, how weird and goofy that you can make a world. Even it being a first person shooter Western RPG, like it's kind of a weird niche of games that I love that are in that form,
Starting point is 00:44:26 but it is this, Cyropunk, Theus X, right? Like out of worlds that I'm playing. Like there's something about this specific form of Western RPG that really resonates with me and Fallout 3 was the start of it Million dollars for me I would have never put Fallout 3 on it really oh I would have put a beth that Like now that I think of it you have
Starting point is 00:44:43 A lot of love for Bethesda And a lot of law for Fallout he always He always talks he talks a lot about Fallout Yeah I think it's the thing where A new fallout game just hasn't come out In the last since I joined here You know and Falla TV show obviously I'd fucking love And talked all about
Starting point is 00:44:58 Moving on Pokemon Blue Had to get a JRPG and also Pokemon Blue represents so much. It was between this and one of the personas, but I went with Pokemon Blue just because it represents a lot more as far as, you know, if I'm talking about Shadow and MGS as being this eye-opening moment for me of what video games can be, I think Pokemon as a kid was the thing that was like, oh, video games can live and breathe outside of the game itself because I loved the anime. I loved the, you know, Pokemon cards at school and seeing what other kids had. It was playing the spinoffs being Pokemon Puzzle League on N64 and Pokemon Stadium. And
Starting point is 00:45:31 Pokemon Blue was the game where I remember being it's probably like six or seven years old and I had a cousin that had Pokemon Blue and he handed me his Game Boy because we were hanging out in his house and he was like ah here's this as a distraction or whatever and he pointed at the character and he was like oh, that's you mean he was like
Starting point is 00:45:48 oh this is a new game I named it blessing and I was like wait that's me and I never played a game before that had a character that you could name yourself that like that's literally you type thing and as a kid that fucking blew my mind and Pokemon It's the it's the thing too where I know Pokemon Gold could probably be the argument for being like the best one.
Starting point is 00:46:06 Pokemon Blue is just the biggest nostalgia pick for me. Yeah. Hitman, World of Assassination is my pick for like stealth slash immersive sim games. It was between this and like Metal Gear and DeusX. But Hitman I think for me is the best as far as what it does mechanically. It's also like my old reliable. Like I don't go back and just randomly play MGS. I do go back and just randomly play MGS.
Starting point is 00:46:30 I do go back and just randomly play Hitman because I think the stealth game plays is so solid. And I love the idea of being able to change in different characters and do all this stuff, right? And then is that everything? I think that's, oh, wait, no. Some on inscription? Inscription. Yeah, description last west. And I love that for you.
Starting point is 00:46:45 I love inscriptions here. Yes. Inscription is the meeting of like rogue like and card game. And like obviously when I played inscription, that shit blew my mind. And so it kind of encompasses that world. And then the last of us is a pick for, I think, if I'm talking about my journey, through video games. Last of us is a very great one for, I think where it took me as far
Starting point is 00:47:04 as video game stories and narratives. I try to find like a good story game. Life is Strange was originally on here, but I think Last of us is almost a better representation of like, that was a moment. Obviously it was a moment for the gaming world. It was also a moment for me as well where like playing that game being in this post-apocalyptic world where
Starting point is 00:47:21 everything's fucked up but there's still a story about humanity and how you know, how relationships can bring us together in this world. For me, that was such a beautiful thing. And that's a game that I'll go back and play all the time. And I was just seeing acting. Yeah. Performances.
Starting point is 00:47:36 We've seen a lot of acting before. And, you know, sometimes it's all, it may be a little subpar in some cases. But yeah, that was amazing. That's my list. I do love that across all of our list so far, there are a couple like newer games. You know, it's not all just old school nostalgia plays. Like having Sekiro and inscription. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:54 That's cool, you know. Yeah, I forgot to mention Zelda Breath of the Wild. That's my 10th pick here. Oh. Which is, yeah. But yeah. like my favorite game of all time. As I was putting together this list, you know,
Starting point is 00:48:04 the most original version really had it be like a rigid, all right, Perry Poppy, Puppie, Puzzle Poppy, yada, da, da, yada. Zelda at Breath of Wild for me encompasses all of it. It is the everything game for me. I love the puzzles in Breath of Wild. I love the open world exploration of Breath of Wild. I love the art style. I love the, even the story in the world and all this stuff,
Starting point is 00:48:20 how it comes together, the post-apocalyptic vibe, which I didn't talk about as much as me being like, I really love post-apocalyptic worlds in video games, which is probably reflective in some of these games here. Zell de Breath of Wild does it all. So is that your one? That's my one. That's my easy one, Zolda Breath of Wild. Have you watched Silo yet on HBO?
Starting point is 00:48:37 No. You should watch that. Yeah, okay. Good. You'd love that. Ferguson. Okay. Can we really stop? Bring back up blessings. So good looking. Okay. Look at the quality.
Starting point is 00:48:49 Where's fucking Roger? Okay. He's got drop shadows. How did he get the game underneath the shoe, Andy? Roger hasn't taught me that yet. You know what I mean? I said Roger, come here. He's got drop shadows. It's on top. It's underneath his shoe.
Starting point is 00:49:04 It's above his hair. Roger didn't teach me any of this. Yeah, the games are everywhere. It's unbelievable. I could have the games everywhere. I'm so untighted in it. It's not that hard. I can teach you.
Starting point is 00:49:14 We're going to talk about it. Are we ready for mics? Yeah, but I got a little, we're going to have some fun. Primer. So here's the primer. I'm going to need you all to come with me on a little journey. Okay. So here's how this is going to go.
Starting point is 00:49:26 We talked about this. I didn't want to do my top 10 because then I would give it all away. So this is how you would describe your friend, Mike. And so I want you to come on a journey with me, okay? Everybody take a deep breath. Breathe in and then release. Breathe in one more time.
Starting point is 00:49:42 One more. And then release. And everybody out there, I want you to close your eyes. I want you to picture this setting. Okay, we're doing a little improv, okay? If you're driving right now, let Steez-is take the wheel. Okay, they got you. No, don't do me a favor.
Starting point is 00:49:54 Pretend like we're all in SFO and we're currently walking to the Uber pickup. We're about to step on to the elevator to go up two levels to get to the Uber parking lots. Mike looks here and goes, what's up, everybody? How's your day going? Oh, my God. You all take a deep grunt. You don't want to hear it, right? That's the last place I want to hear that.
Starting point is 00:50:13 You all huff and puff. I say, y'all have some good trips. Andy, what do you say to that? I mean, if I'm with you on the trip on the type, don't fucking talk. Exactly. That's what you say, right? This is such a specific picture of your painting because when I'm in that Uber area, at SFO. It's me getting back from a trip.
Starting point is 00:50:30 It's the end. It's the end. Like, I hate that Uber ride home because I just want to be home. Yeah. Oh, it's such a long ride for me, dude. He knows exactly how this experience goes. And so you all are huffing and puffing and it's $90. And you look at, I look at you guys and go, can I tell you about my friend, Mike?
Starting point is 00:50:48 Can I describe to you some of his favorite games? And how I would. You're not Mike? No, I'm not Mike. Oh. I'm Sam now. I'm Sam. Okay. I become Sam.
Starting point is 00:50:55 Okay. Kevin, please bring up how I would describe my best friend Snowbike Mike in top 10 games. Okay. Of course, you take a look right now. I want to bring you a lot on a fun one to describe my friend Mike. And, you know, he's all over the place, but he's got a lot of games that he loves. And one of the most recent games was Call of Duty War Zone. Snowbike Mike loves a good competitive shooter.
Starting point is 00:51:18 And he is a very competitive guy. And something gets his motor going more than some chirping amongst friends, some good callouts and some friendly competition to be who, to see who can become number one. And that's why the battle royals are the best game around. I love it so much. Where's my team? Where's my team? This happened yesterday.
Starting point is 00:51:38 Like in our first match of Battlefield 6. Me and Nick are fighting over here. I don't know. I drop a ping. The two of them are 500 yards. Where's my team? What was I supposed to stay? Stay alive and killing people.
Starting point is 00:51:49 Then after that, of course, it's fall guys, the ultimate knockouts. I mean, love that. Add wipeout plus some jelly bean. and let your imaginations go wild. What an era. Every single day I wake up and I think to the good lords of ABC television, I say, bring back wipe out with John Sina and let me and the whole kind of funny crew run one full competition.
Starting point is 00:52:10 Let's see who wins. Okay. And let's see who also hurts themselves. Yeah. Nick. Be a lot of pulled. Be a lot of pulled muscles. Thinking about fall guys, like you, you know, I would, I try to play a decent amount at the
Starting point is 00:52:23 beginning. and you kept on playing, right? You and Washi in the squad and y'all were playing art graders the other day during the demo or whatever, during the beta weekend. And you talking about how you're just going to
Starting point is 00:52:37 screw people over, right? I can't wait. And, you know, yeah, you bring them into, you get them into the web, Tim, and then you fucking sting them in the back, right? And a lot of people in chat, a lot of people were making comparisons to how you would create monsters
Starting point is 00:52:53 in Fall Guys, where it's like, we're going to push you off of this path that you're trying to run up on. And all you're doing is creating another Mike in that moment. You're creating somebody who's going to play that game with anger for the rest of their lives. And it's just like, like watching Mike dominate those slopes was some of those entertaining shit ever. Oh, thank you, Ann. It was this is going to be, this will go down to some of my favorite moments of my entire life was the three Gibronies on those Twinkies in Slime Climb Climb. Just giggling and laughing. hands out, grabbing jelly beans, pushing you sideways.
Starting point is 00:53:28 Just a lot of that. It was some of the greatest moments of my life, and I'll never forget. And now I get to recreate those moments in Arc Raiders. And so for the whole weekend, I'm going mic on, full comms loud, and I'm going to bring them in, Tim. Good. Oh, my God. Green Dragon and Aqua Thunder, we need your help.
Starting point is 00:53:45 Andy comes over. He's making friends with them, too, and then Andy kills them. You know what I mean? No, fuck you. I didn't know that. I didn't know I killed that guy. And then we continue on with Snowbike Mike's, of course, how I describe my friend Mike. He's a big Xbox lover.
Starting point is 00:53:59 And if Snowbike Mike could have his way, he would try to become Marty McFly and Doc. What's his name? I never watched movies. Okay. I've never seen him. But, you know, I get that. He's an octopus. I get that guy, okay?
Starting point is 00:54:13 And we would find a way to teleport all of us as humanity back to 2004. And I would trap us there where we would just play Halo 2 multiplayer forever. rest of time. Okay. It's the greatest experience of our life, okay? I promise you you would want to get in the car because it would be the absolute best, okay? Is there a reason why you put Halo 2 on your crotch? You know, I was
Starting point is 00:54:35 circling it up. I didn't know how to do things, you know? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Because he pulled his nut. He has to, yeah. You know, that's how great that game is. Halo 2, the goat. It's my favorite. If Snowmike Mike could rewind time, he'd put us there. Let's keep going. Show me another one. Can't pull it out. You know, another great way to describe
Starting point is 00:54:51 Snowbike, Mike, is just the classics, the hits. And that is EA big titles. NBA Street Volume 2. I'm happy with on one of our lives. We don't get them like that. And like when we talk about just fun, entertaining times,
Starting point is 00:55:05 NBA Street, the whole street franchise from FIFA to NFL, they really nailed it, right? The music, the moment, the culture, the vibes, the game breakers, right? It was just so special back then. And so, yeah, I will always rep NBA Street
Starting point is 00:55:21 or my best friend, Mike, will always wrap NBA. How are we not done like an NBA street tournament here? We got to, you know, we got to find a PS2, I guess. It's crazy how special volume two is specifically. Oh, yeah. Like, all of them are at the very least good.
Starting point is 00:55:35 Oh, yeah. But you compare two to one and three. And what was the next gen one home court? Oh, yeah. NBA Street. Yeah, yeah. Two was just different, man. Like the style of it, the soundtrack, like the, just even the art,
Starting point is 00:55:48 the art that it has. It's like, it was just so much. Yeah, it is kind of nuts. because they made NBA Street Volume 1, right? Which is like, cool, like you mentioned, good game or whatever. And then they somehow make one of the greatest games of all time in the sequel. So much so that you make the third game and it's like, ah, we'll put Mario in it. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:56:05 And then after that, of course, Snowbike Mike loves. I mean, here's the deal. When I describe my friend Snowbike Mike Andy Cortez, I've never met someone in my life that has such a passion for interior design. Ah, yes. He is passionate about theme parks and how those are designed. Holmes, you know, he loves that stuff. But he is so computer illiterate.
Starting point is 00:56:31 He has no eye for color. He doesn't understand how to blend things together and make it look good. But he's got a passion. And he really always wants to go to Andy, his friend Andy's stream room to decorate. I'm going to fucking decorate that real thing. And that's why, like, the Sims is up there because nothing better is than the Sims. And when the Sims started expansion packs, Sims vacation. Sims hot dates where you would go to restaurants
Starting point is 00:56:55 and be able to call up the girl. Is this the one for you? Rebecca goth down the block and take her on a hot date. This shit was some of the greatest times. Her husband died. Oh, man. We just didn't talk about it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:10 And then down below, you'll see I pulled Theme Park World in there. This is the mic. I didn't want to go roller coaster tycoon on you. No, no, no. I'm going to give you one of those crazy. off-brand ones that I bought, and I loved this game to death. A little more cartoon-y. This was one where you could go first-person into your customers' eyes and ride the rides.
Starting point is 00:57:32 Fantastic game. This might be the best one of all time, but we don't talk about it. Did you not play Thrillville? Thrillville. No, I did not play Thrillville. Oh, Thrillville, good? Because I think that's another one of them, like tycoon, roller coaster kind of things. So many good ones.
Starting point is 00:57:44 I'll tell you one that I'm kind of disappointed with right here. Tell me. City of Heroes, but no, wow. Well, that was the thing. It's like Snowbike Mike loves wow. My best friend, Snowbike Mike loves wow. Is your friend Mike still paying for a while? 100%.
Starting point is 00:57:59 I was going to, a lot of people said we should put Snowbike Mike's top 10 and have rocket money on this because there's a logo for Rocket Money out there that should be, you know, appreciating and using. They say you're paying for it. Roger got me to try to cancel it? Absolutely not. I'll cancel anything else. They got to get my money.
Starting point is 00:58:19 I don't play it. Got to get my money. But like, here's the deal. Someone's got to support him. Someone's got to support him. I will. And so here's the deal. City of Heroes, to keep you guessing.
Starting point is 00:58:27 Okay, there we were at the precipice of World of Warcraft at the ultimate height. We had Guild Wars 2. Oh, yeah. EverQuest online, okay? We had the greatest online games happening in the early 2000s. And then boom. City of Heroes hit the scene. It was like, oh shit, this might be the goat of goats.
Starting point is 00:58:48 And they were like, guess what? The ultimate expansion pack? city of villains where you can become the bad guys now. It's like, oh my God, this is the greatest. And so we got to put City of Heroes to keep you guessing. What was Mike's superhero? Superhero was always themed after static shock. That was my guy.
Starting point is 00:59:05 Back in the day, it was Jackie Chan Adventures into Static Shock before we went to freshman basketball practice. And it's like nothing cooler than static shock, bro. A big, like, double whammy. It's a big, oh, my God. The craziest part, we had three televisions at Will Lloyd's basement. it was one had NCAA or Madden or whatever sports game we were playing at the time. One had PTI and around the horn because it was that afternoon block before.
Starting point is 00:59:29 And then they would have the other one would be Jackie Chan and Ventures. Static shock. It was the greatest time from all time. Is his name like paranoid Will Lloyd? And his mom, Shelley, they had the crazy like button talkers. And she'd be like, boys, the hot pockets are ready to come up. And we'd all fucking run this. Smash hot pockets.
Starting point is 00:59:47 You know, it was the greatest time of all time. Okay, stop. Let's go down, of course, Coach Mike. Coach Mike loves them kids, okay? My goal is to get out there in the little league, you know, development leagues and help these kids, okay? When baby Ben finally gets ready to swing away at T-ball, at soccer, at basketball, we'll be there, okay? And Coach Mike will be there with a bucket of balls ready to help this kid get the grind set mindset. Because you know what? Maybe I couldn't go pro.
Starting point is 01:00:15 But I'm a damn sure that kid goes pro. and he's going to bring me. He's going to bring me. He's paying for everything. Looking at all these kids going, don't be like me. Like, here's the deal. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 01:00:28 Fucking hot single moms. Damn coach Mike out on the diamond. Oh, yeah. Going to be a great time. Going to be a recipe for disaster. I can't wait. Okay, you know? Just keep it going.
Starting point is 01:00:38 Let's pull back. I think we're almost done. Oh, and then, of course, I would tell everyone in the elevator about my friend Mike. And I'd be like, he just played Final Fan. Fantasy 10 for the first time ever this year. And it changed his life. It changed his life.
Starting point is 01:00:52 Okay. My friend Stelmaic Mike thinks about this game on the daily. I love this free time. He thinks about the relationship. He thinks about the journey. He thinks about the high Sumner Luna and how we had to go with her to stop the spiral. You know what I mean? And then I spiraled out when I found out about Lulu and Waka.
Starting point is 01:01:10 You know what I mean? Like that still still. You had a crash out moment with some of the relationships in this game. I mean, I'll find out who made that game. we'll have a real discussion, okay? Because that's a crazy situation. That's crazy that she let... Chapo.
Starting point is 01:01:23 Her man, Chaparone. Out there said, I got to protect the love of my life. Okay, I got to go out and fight Spira. Okay, I got to go out there and fight the spiral and protect her from what's happening here in this world. And then she's like, I love my man. Then he dies for her and she gets with his brother, has a baby. I could never bless.
Starting point is 01:01:45 I would never allow that to happen. He nailed 90%. Some of the names and places and things wrong, but overall the vibes mailed it. Unbelievable. This game is the greatest. Unfortunately, the developers are anonymous. There's no way you can find out who made it.
Starting point is 01:01:59 I will never get the bump into these people, thankfully. And then finally, of course, my best friend, Snowbike Mike, loves to keep you on your toes. And there's nothing better than Snowbike Mike getting in deep into his bag and just guessing a game. And that's heroes of might and magic.
Starting point is 01:02:13 You don't know where I'm going to take you. Okay, and I'm going to take you to one of the greatest tactics games ever made. Seeing the 3D-O logo. That's crazy. Three. And guess what? I'm happy to announce that in 2006, Heroes of Might and Magic, Olden Era is releasing. We will get a new one of the franchise this year.
Starting point is 01:02:37 I've willed this into existence. Hell yeah. Maybe that's what you put in your fantasy critic. Andy. Shit. Think about it. Think about it. Okay, I'm in the Discord once again.
Starting point is 01:02:48 I got some things I need done to finish out the year to win. Okay, so I've got a big pick finally here. But we'll talk about that at a different date. Snowback Mike's top 10 to get you know you. That's what you would tell him in the elevator because that's going to keep them guessing. That's going, right? Oh, we like sports games. That's cool.
Starting point is 01:03:04 He likes first person shooters. That's cool. Oh, he likes Sims hot date. Where did that come from? I got to be real with you, Mike. This just tells a story. Yeah. I don't think it's, I don't think it's nearly as chaotic as it could be.
Starting point is 01:03:14 I mean, it's very much says you were a kid with a PC. Yeah. You know? Yeah. Like that's what that got us here. You know, you liked online gaming, you still do. And luckily, airport security is now here. They've got to have arrived.
Starting point is 01:03:28 Take away the psycho Sam. The Sam guy. What's the one game, Mike? The one game out of that top 10? Out of that top 10. I mean, it had to be called duty war zone. It has to be. Captain Mike, the.
Starting point is 01:03:44 squad, the callouts, the fire, the magic, the helicopter chopping and tossing, screaming at the top of my lungs and my best friends on congratulating on a win, you know, asking where my team is, you know, silently getting frustrated at Nick Scarpino, who I love, but like at the same time, just encouraged to get better, but like really deep down inside, I want to pop the top on. Yeah. I want to fucking just knock him out. I want to pop the top on. That's amazing. The memories, Mike, the one day that you drank like was it seven Red Bulls at night
Starting point is 01:04:19 and then you didn't stream for like five days in a row you're like I got sick I got one with price got sponsored by Red Bull with Fall Mania drank about seven of them boom paid the price I love it I want to get to some of these super chats to close out this episode
Starting point is 01:04:34 here dolphin corn says I'll do five persona four Kingdom Hearts 2 fallout New Vegas Overwatch and Balders Gate 3 all of those were just the the like acronyms. And I fucking crushed. Yeah, wow.
Starting point is 01:04:47 Look at that. Now what if they had the acronym BDR? A. C. Assassin's Creed. No. I don't even know it's Armored Core.
Starting point is 01:05:02 Sure. Six fires a Rubicon. Okay. I love. I love it. Yeah. What would that be? The ACVI.
Starting point is 01:05:09 Yeah. You have to do the problem. Little O-R. Co-op 64 says rebirth. Last of Us, Eldon Ring, hi-fi rush. Love that. I like a little high-fi rush, and that's nice. Zanfair says, here's my gut answer.
Starting point is 01:05:23 Mario Galaxy, Halo 3, Marvel Spider-Man, which was on my list somewhere too, but it didn't quite get there. Smash Ultimate, Uncharted 2, Mass Effect 2, Destiny 2, Dark Souls, Zelda Winwaker, and Shadow of the Colossus. I have a Spider-Man game on my gets to know me deeper list. You would never guess which one. WebV. 2, PS2?
Starting point is 01:05:42 Spider-Man 2. Hell yeah. Oh, my God. Pedro says Persona 5 Royal Pokemon Heart, Gold and Soul Silver Sekiro
Starting point is 01:05:51 Yakusa Zero Uncharted 4 Mario Odyssey Metroid Fusion Okay Okay Xenoblade Chronicles Two
Starting point is 01:05:58 Seifu and Wind Waker Sefu Damn I was so cool I feel like the three games that had that had the highest
Starting point is 01:06:06 potential on being on multiple lists were Halo NBA Street Volume 2 and Seafood I feel like those are the three table
Starting point is 01:06:13 Yeah for this table It ended up Being Final Fantasy 10 with two, Mario 64 with two. Oh shit. That was it. I think that was it, yeah. That's kind of crazy. He and Andy didn't have crossover in the Souls ones.
Starting point is 01:06:25 In Pokemon, we kind of split a little bit. Yeah. We got Nathan Haynes saying, Skyrim, Pokemon Blue, Pokemon Emerald, Assassin's Creed Unity, Witcher 3, Black Ops 1, Gears of War, Dying Light 1, Tiger Woods, PGA Tour. Oh, fuck. Wow. Damn, I didn't have any golf games on mine. Golf games mean so much to me.
Starting point is 01:06:45 I may have put like Mario golf on the Game Boy. This is great actually because they left this super chat before. I was even talking about this. Kabob says, guess the acronyves. Oh, I love that. All right. Ratchet and clank. Crack in time.
Starting point is 01:07:02 A crack in time. SSX3. Crash team racing Nitrofield. Mass Effect 3, No Man's Sky. Pokemon, Ruby, Sapphire Emerald. Horizon Forbidden West. Ghost of Yote. Uncharted 3.
Starting point is 01:07:22 Is DS2, Death Shining 2, or is a Dark Coles 2? B3T? It's... Balls and 3 tape. B3, C.3, colon T. B3. B3. Battlefield, bad, no. Borderlands 3.
Starting point is 01:07:37 The pre-sequel. The pre-sequel. That one's throwing me off here. Fudeky 3. Burnout 3 take-down. Oh. That's great. That's great. Really quick.
Starting point is 01:07:48 Andy, we went out to dinner. with the head of Halo Studios. You, Sam, and your friend, Mike. Talking about Tiger Woods. We were talking sports games. We were going back and forth. Bam, he hit me. He goes, you didn't bring up a single tennis game.
Starting point is 01:08:01 And I was like, oh, my goodness games, bro. So good. No, but here's the thing, man. So good. I only really fucked with, like, Game Boy tennis game. Like, I guess I did get topspin every now and then. But, like, I was never, for me, it was Tiger Woods games. Because that was also when I was just super into getting into golf.
Starting point is 01:08:19 Man. If y'all saw me when I was on the Mario tennis for the NCT4 streets, oh, I was a fucking, I was a man, this was a special problem. What was their name, Serena? I was sorry. I want to get through the rest of the chat here. Before we get to the sponsor stream coming up of Outer Worlds 2. Mad Rock says, Holo Night, Celeste, Bomb Rush, Cyberfunk,
Starting point is 01:08:38 High-Fi Rush, Liza P, Titanfall 2, Guilty Gear Plus R, okay. Expedition 33, Hades, Near Automata, HM Control, HM Control, Hitman, Control. Right? No. What the hell is HM? I don't know. And bloodb. Oh, honorable mentions control and bloodline.
Starting point is 01:08:55 Ah, there we go. There we go. We're all guessing acronym. Surprise Hollow Night wasn't on Andy's list, but I get it's a little, it's maybe too new, but I bet in like five years it'll be on the list. And the same with the expedition 33 will be on mine in five years. I would have to replay it and rebeat it because it's as much as much as I loved it. It was like, it's a pandemic game that I have just memory holds so much of what happened.
Starting point is 01:09:19 Danny T says Sonic Adventure 2. The soundtrack is in my DNA. We read J.Bs earlier, but Fall Fantasy 7, Expedition 33, Metal Gear Solid, DDR, crazy taxi. Oh, DDR should have been on mine. I do like the mic idea of, like, us presenting games for each other. Because if I had a show, somebody, one game for Tim, it probably would be Expedition 33. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:09:37 Even though I know that's not your favorite game of all time. But like, it's like the most representative of Tim. There's a lot of good stuff there. Yeah. Super Mario RPG, Donkey Kong Country, Luminous, and YPato Excel. Great. Well, Fredo says, Halo 3. Last of Us won. Eldon Ring, Dark Souls,
Starting point is 01:09:51 Overwatch, Battlefield 3, Modern Warfare 2, 2019. Oh, wow, okay. Spiro-O-G trilogy, roller coaster tycoon, Omega Buster thought that Mike might have baby steps, but... Maybe on another one of these, it's the same cast,
Starting point is 01:10:07 but we only guess Gregs. Yeah, I wanted to guess Greg. We're doing Gregs next week. Oh, damn, okay. Yeah, but we can guess. I want to just, like, have us four guests and then have him, like, come out here. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:10:19 oil decree. Hey, maybe if there's time, maybe we can get that in, because that is a good idea. Herbert Home Boys. On mine, too, by the way, I forgot about that. It says Brothers Tale of Two Sons, Outer Wilds,
Starting point is 01:10:28 MGS 1, MbA Street, volume 2. I love how much love NVA Street gets. This is great. Yeah. Def Jam, Fight for New York. Another great one, Fall Fantasy 9, Zelda Minish Cap, love the pick. Cyberpunk, Street Fighter Alpha 3, Kingdom Hearts. Herman Homeboy, you got taste.
Starting point is 01:10:40 I like that. Yeah. Uncle Death says mine's easily. Mario World. Halo 3, Doom, Eternal, Shadow the Colossus, Overwatch, DDR, need for speed underground. 2. Catamari, Domesi, THPS2, and brutal legend. I saw Paris Lily in the YouTube chat being angry that Super Mario Bros.
Starting point is 01:10:57 3 was on anybody's list. It's like, when we're talking top 100, it's very, very high up there. But that's not a game that I would say represents me. It was either Advert Mario 64 for me. I had to put those two. It was world for me. That was close. Anyway, there's many other lists, but we can't get to all of them.
Starting point is 01:11:12 Thank you so much for this. We will be doing this again next week with Greg. and maybe some others because it was a lot of fun. Let us know in the comments below what is your 10 games that describe who you are. Stay tuned for an awesome Outer Worlds 2 stream with Greg Miller.
Starting point is 01:11:30 Until next time, I love you all. Goodbye.
