Starting point is 00:00:07 Hey, gamers, welcome to the Kind of Funny Games cast for Thursday, October 9th, 2025. I am Andy and I'm joined by the Lord of Levolution Snow Bike, Mike. Praise be to total destruction. And Nick is here. Hell yeah, praise me to my boy. Come on, let's all dapp up really quick. Come on. We're together on the table.
Starting point is 00:00:30 I'm not dapping anyone until I get a cool name. I need a cool name. Let's see. the Lord of Lute. Because your back is already a Lord. Yeah, yeah, no. You can be a Duke? You got two Lords. The Duke of Destruction.
Starting point is 00:00:43 Yeah. Duke of Destruction is good. I like that. I like that. That's pretty good. This is a kind of funny games cast. This is a kind of funny games cast. This is a kind of funny games cast. Each and every weekday, we get together to talk about the biggest reviews,
Starting point is 00:01:02 previews, and topics in video games live on YouTube, Twitch, and podcast, service. is around the globe. If you love what we do, support us with the Patreon membership or the kind of funny membership on Patreon, which is what I really meant to say. YouTube, Spotify, or Apple podcast
Starting point is 00:01:18 to get all of our shows ad-free, watch us record them live and get a daily exclusive show. For a chance to be part of the show, submit your thoughts and opinions as YouTube super chats. So get those super chats in, and Mike will do his best to answer any questions you have about the Call of Duty, or I'm sorry, by the Battlefield 6 campaign.
Starting point is 00:01:36 Only the campaign. Tell them what we're doing today, Andy. Let's get real. We're getting excited with our squad. We're getting excited for the shooting squad. The fall season is here. It's packed. And we got some big shooting games coming right away.
Starting point is 00:01:48 Okay? Battlefield 6 this week. Arc Raiders, end of the month. Call of Duty, Black Op 7 next month. We're going to be back together. The boys are back together finally. So I need everybody to get strapped in for a little Battlefield 6 campaign review. and then we'll hit the ads
Starting point is 00:02:09 and then when we come back, we're going to talk about we're kind of like setting out the schedule for what the Juboni Boys are going to be doing live here. So you're going to like pretty much just sit in
Starting point is 00:02:22 on a meeting with us as we talk about. This is just a stream team. Yeah, it's just a stream team meeting everybody. Well, I guess if that's going to happen. Let's do some old business first. I don't like that when you guys make fun of me,
Starting point is 00:02:31 the audience can't hear it, but I can hear Barrett laughing. Oh, man. That's really what Bob. I represent the audience. She's very professional. Yeah. You get it.
Starting point is 00:02:40 Yeah. No, I just, I just maybe. Can I request one thing before we get into it? I want y'all by the end of the episode to predict who dominates the fall. Is it Call of Duty? Is it battlefield? Because I feel like I'm hearing strong feelings on both sides. I like it.
Starting point is 00:02:55 And I want to hear y'all's assessment on that. Remember, we're in 11 person business. All about live talk shows. Games Daily today talked about Ubisoft cancelling a post-Civil War Assassin's Creed. And after this, it'll be a stream. No, wait. in review. In review.
Starting point is 00:03:09 We'll do it in review. In review, Tron Aries. Is that live? Yeah, yeah. The biggest mystery of them all is Nick, I over hear Nick talking yesterday. And I take my headphones off and he's laughing. I'm like, what are y'all laughing about? He goes, Andy, it's because the movie of Tron Aries ended.
Starting point is 00:03:35 And Tim was like, damn. I didn't like that. And Nick was like, oh, really? Andy was into it. And Tim was like, what are he talking about? He kept leaning to me and saying that this sucked. And Nick was like, Andy kept leaning to me and saying this is awesome. So right now, Andy, we don't know whether you like the movie or not.
Starting point is 00:03:51 And we don't want to know until the review. Yeah. Because you left so early to pee. And then you did the thing where you did. I saw the first post credit and then I bounced. I don't know if that was a second post credit. I don't think there was. Okay.
Starting point is 00:04:01 So I probably, I bounced at the right time. You definitely did. I watched the first post credit. Yeah. I guess the only one. I don't know if there was one. I love that you just consistently irish goodbye at movie theaters. No, no, no, don't.
Starting point is 00:04:13 No, Andy, I'm there for you. Thank you. The movie has ended. He is allowed to leave. Thank you, Mike. Okay? We don't have to hubbub in the lobby for 25 minutes afterwards. Mr.
Starting point is 00:04:22 Social, looking for any excuse to spend time with any person. This is where you're going to defend Andy. In the movie theory. Thank you. We're going to go over all of this in the end review after this. And I can't wait to get into it. I'll tell you what. I've never been more excited and scared.
Starting point is 00:04:36 that bathroom line crazy long and I could tell just I'm not trying to say that I was generalizing or stereotyping but I was like all you dudes in line are here for Demon Slayer There's a look There's a look and there's a spell I'm seeing you know
Starting point is 00:04:52 Just like Naruto Yeah I'm excited for I'm excited for Nick and Tim to find out whether or not I like Tron Aries but you'll have to wait until after this podcast thank you to our Patreon producers Carl Jacobs Omega Bust
Starting point is 00:05:06 and Delaney, the Somme twining. Today's, if you're kind of funny, remember, today's Gregway is the solution to indie game guilt. Today we're brought to you by factor, but we'll tell you all about that later. For now, let's start with the topic of the show. Tuts, Tuts, Tots, Tots, Tats, Tats, Tats.
Starting point is 00:05:25 Bum, Bump, Bum, Bantle-Sys Review. Oh, okay. If it wasn't, there wasn't the same, like, there wasn't... I thought Battlefield was doing with Call Dutty Day's, where they just, they just, like, shell for other properties to get into their, uh, no, Battlefield loves that song. No, so you're thinking I'm doing the, the Terminator.
Starting point is 00:05:42 Terminator thing. No, Battlefield has their own, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun. Yeah, it's real good too. There should be a lawsuit there. Yeah, I agree. I always thought the same thing. Um, we're talking about the Battlefield 6 campaign that Mike has played. Yes, I have completed the Battlefield 6 campaign and we'll set the stage now.
Starting point is 00:05:59 Of course, Battlefield 6 comes out tomorrow. We, I'm sure, me and Andy and probably Nick, next week to week after, we'll come back and talk about our multiplayer thoughts. But Battlefield 6 campaign only, no portal, as they said, that would come out at launch. So I didn't get to see Portal at all. And the multiplayer, we have to wait until all of you, Gibronies, get out in the real world with it. So we will only be talking about the Battlefield 6 campaign here today during my review. Because unfortunately, real quick, unfortunately, you know, why didn't you, why is everybody else reviewing multiplayer?
Starting point is 00:06:31 Why didn't you all kind of funny? They, because of just the nature of our jobs and the nature of, the review process. EA sets, you know, here's a nine to noon window of when we'll be playing on these maps.
Starting point is 00:06:46 Here's a nine to noon window. The next day when we're playing on these maps, this next day, no multiplayer, windows, you just have to, like,
Starting point is 00:06:52 not play multiplayer that day. So harder for us to kind of find windows of where we can hop in, especially with kind of how quickly this job moves and how many shows were on and things like that.
Starting point is 00:07:03 So lots of games. We just didn't really have a whole lot of time to hop into these. as well. What did you say? I said a lot of our job and content is morning. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:07:11 pretty morning. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And it comes that stuff. So, uh, not a whole lot of opportunities for us to hop into those multiplayer windows. Nick,
Starting point is 00:07:17 you wanted to say something? No, I was just going to say, it's fine, though, because when I think of Battlefield, I think, the campaign.
Starting point is 00:07:22 Of course. Yeah. That's what I normally think of it. We come for. It's really what I go for specifically. Call duty as well. I think I've played approximately five minutes of every call to campaign. Well,
Starting point is 00:07:30 Battlefield 2042. No campaign. No. It's the first time we've had a, a modern setting campaign in a battlefield in a long, long time. So Mike played a hardline, I believe. Mike played all of it.
Starting point is 00:07:44 I played about an hour. I'm going to do a quick little review roundup from Open Critic. Hard to kind of put numbers on it because a lot of people's reviews are the whole, the total package. Sure. It's single player and multiplayer
Starting point is 00:07:58 are what a lot of people's reviews are. But I will say that our friend, a good friend of our Simon Cardi, gave the campaign a five out of ten. Just the campaign. That's not good. Who said, A safe, dull reimagining of what Battlefield once was,
Starting point is 00:08:11 rather a bold, a safe dull reimagining of what Battlefield once was, rather a bold reinvention of what it could be. 5 out of 10 from Simon Cardi. And then I have a couple of other blurbs from other people's reviews who were giving the whole game the total packages score, but they have little blurbs about just the campaign. We have Reid McArthur from Kataku,
Starting point is 00:08:31 who says, Battlefield 6's campaign is too unevenly executed to make its vision as compelling as it ought to be, but it still works well enough to inflect the entire game with a healthy cynicism unusual for the genre, and then a good friend of ours, Jordan Midler, from VGC, gave the whole
Starting point is 00:08:47 package of four out of five for multiplayer campaign, but says that the single player is fine, but bland. And that's kind of what I'm seeing across the industry. Snowbike, Mike, do you agree with a lot of the industry's assessment on the Battlefield 6th campaign?
Starting point is 00:09:03 I am totally in agreement with everyone across the board here. It is unfortunately not the best of times. It is not a super wow factor campaign. It is just a middle of the road. Okay, mediocre, fine campaign. There are some moments in the campaign that have the wow, the sauce, the moments that go, oh man, we're cooking here. This is exciting.
Starting point is 00:09:26 And then out of the nine total missions, a lot of them are a bore. And there's just moments where they kind of step up as if, if they're going to do something exciting and different, and they don't. They kind of miss the mark there. And so unfortunately for me, when I think about the Battlefield 6 campaign, about five hours, nine total missions.
Starting point is 00:09:44 I give it about a five to six on the kind of funny range. That's that mediocre to our K range for us. This is something I enjoyed playing at five hours, but this is something that I think the mass audience will not gravitate towards. As we know, Battlefield, the multiplayer is going to be the big one. This is kind of an old standard of first person shooters to have the three prong attack or really the campaign with the multiplayer. Now we've kind of moved away from that of being like, hey, if the multiplayer works, just focus on that and make it work. The campaigns, unless you do something out of the box and different right to reinvent yourself like we saw with Call of Duty over the past couple of years where they really have tried to double down on the campaign and make it worth your while.
Starting point is 00:10:26 This one, unfortunately, is none of that. And so, yeah, for me, the battlefield is just right down the middle. and Andy I want to hear about your first hour before I dive a little bit deeper. Sure thing. Real quick, what did you play on? What platform? PC for me. PC? And you said about five hours to beat the game. I would say this would take you about five to six hours. Depending on if you go super difficult, you might go a little bit longer.
Starting point is 00:10:50 If you go on the easy mode, it might take you a little bit shorter. But it's nine missions. They range about 15 to 30 minutes. A lot of these missions are very short. They're fast and they're over with before something really awesome. some of sustenance can happen. And then there's a couple where they try. Think Modern Warfare 3, where they really opened it up. And it's more of like a Battlefield 6 multiplayer that you would see.
Starting point is 00:11:12 It's like, hey, here's three spots on the map. Attack it however you want. Do X, Y, and Z in the fun playground. They did that once or twice. They also had a really long tank mission. We'll talk about that later. That was a student. That was a student's best.
Starting point is 00:11:26 Nick, can you hold my hand right now? No, sure. Now here's what I'm, biggest question. For Snowback, Mike, did you play on controller or keyboard mouse? I played on keyboard and mouse. Wow. We got him. We got him.
Starting point is 00:11:40 We got him. Now, okay, I'm not trying to take a whole lot. We almost got Barrett on keyboard mouse the other day, too. It was crazy. I'm not, not almost got me before. I was like I was forced to because the controller wouldn't work. Because Call of Duty can't let you switch between you have to get out of it. True.
Starting point is 00:11:55 If anything, it unsold me on cable mouse. Yeah, really, really is bad. Really bad. Um, I don't want to take credit for Mike's journey into keyboard. mouse, but I will. Is the 360 rule working for you, Mike? The 360 rule here at the house is working very well, right? You look at your mouse pad.
Starting point is 00:12:12 You set your DPI. You set your mouse sensitivity in game to the correct DPI and scale. So when I go across my mouse pad, I do a full 360. Full 360. Now here at work, Kevin's got that wire. We're on a leash. I'm not allowed to move. We got that mouse is the ball chain.
Starting point is 00:12:27 You don't want too much mobility in your mouth. You don't want the mouse to escape. You know why it's good way. Whatever runs away. This is your pet mouse. It is so tight on there. But I am glad that you're, you know, you're using those practices a bit more because a lot of the time I would tell, you know, my tri-keyboard mouse and it doesn't work. But the 360 rules kind of being applied across the board, it's becoming more habitual.
Starting point is 00:12:52 And I think it could help out a lot of people who want to journey into the keyboard mouse world. For me to get the keyboard mouse to work, the rule here at work, I have to move. my mouse pad diagonal and get my mouse all the way up to the top corner of my desk. And you would think like, oh, that's what the Valorin pros do. But they move their keyboard up forward? No, it's mine with the mouse. Gotcha. We could probably figure out some sort of longer cable for the mouse.
Starting point is 00:13:16 Yeah, we'll figure it out. You know what I will say is this, Andy, you have changed him. We are slowly but surely changing Mike. You know, he is like an old, old, old, old animal, right? It's hard to train him. Yeah. He doesn't want to learn any new tricks. No.
Starting point is 00:13:29 And he just wants to pee and poop himself sometimes. Yeah. No doctor. But I will say the other day we were playing Call of Duty. We're playing multiplayer. And we were just comparing stats. Let's see what everyone's... Little KD.
Starting point is 00:13:42 Let's see what everyone's KD ratio's were, right? And, you know, Mike's playing on mouse and keyboard. I'm playing on mouse and keyboard. Rogers playing on whatever device Gen Zers play on. Yeah. And I had the... Nine to ten times. It couldn't beat me.
Starting point is 00:13:57 It couldn't beat me. Wow. Not saying much, though. We were all still below one. Everybody's getting there after. Yeah, it wasn't good. But I will say once you told me you were like, look, stop cranking your field of view up to 190. Let's start there.
Starting point is 00:14:09 Don't do 120 field of view. Get a little tighter. Do what the pros do, 90 to 100. Yeah. Do the 360 rule. And then someone in the chat was like, Nick, I'm watching you play. You've given me this feedback as well. Just slow it down a little bit.
Starting point is 00:14:20 Slow it down. Slow it down a little bit. You don't always have to be the guy out front. You don't got to be sprinting everywhere. Sometimes you're good advice. Sometimes you let the game come to you. Yeah. That's what the great quarterbacks do.
Starting point is 00:14:30 I don't even sprint anymore. Now I just do it flow off. I just hit H and it walks forward for me. Mike, you wanted to know what my first hour with... Yeah, I'd love to talk about it with you because I want to go a little deeper on the campaign. So I played at least two missions and I thought it started off very strong. And then kind of started immediately seeing where the repetition could be. Now, granted, the second sort of mission, very sniper heavy, enjoyed that.
Starting point is 00:14:59 But it became a shooting gals. and kind of very predictable. Some cool moments with low lighting in some spots that were exciting. But I found myself saying throughout those first two missions, all right, I really, this is like, this is good so far, I would say. I'm really hoping that we see a cool turn. Not into the paranormal supernatural stuff that Call of Duty's been doing recently, but I want to see the cool turn where in the last Call of Duty,
Starting point is 00:15:30 campaign, which was freaking fantastic. If you're wondering, should I play the battlefield campaign? Play the call duty one if you haven't played that from last year. It's really good. But the, you know, suddenly you have a, you know, call duty, it's a call duty campaign, Nick. But then suddenly there's a very Ocean's 11 inspired heist mission where you are undercover in a casino with all your different operatives.
Starting point is 00:15:51 And you're listening to people in the headset without trying to kind of blow your cover. Then you hear like, all right, the back door should be open now. And you make your way of it. And it's like so cool and directed. And Call of Duty always amazes with short little bursts of cool creativity. And how do we break up the monotony of just shooting gallery in a room, shooting gallery in a room? I was really hoping to see something like that, Mike.
Starting point is 00:16:15 But it sounds like maybe that never happens. Yeah, it's an interesting one, Andy, right? Because you start thinking of like where we're at with the first person shooter campaigns. You think of battlefield, right? What is battlefield? It is all out warfare, total destruction. absolute mayhem, 64 on 64 large scale battles, right? And so now how do you capture what that is while meeting a single player campaign,
Starting point is 00:16:39 which is, hey, we're a squad of four, dagger one through three, dagger one three. And this squad, how do we get to know them? I love being called dagger. It's so top gun maverick. It was sick. There's some top gun maverick vibes here. There's some moments where you're like, okay, like, we're going somewhere that could be good. And there's moments when we think of other campaigns, I bring.
Starting point is 00:16:59 up called in Modern Warfare with Clean House, which is the we're going dark, one-by-one clearing rooms that everybody talked about a couple years ago, right? And there was a moment where you go to Cairo and we go dark. And you're thinking, oh, man, I'm getting goosebumps. Like, this could be a really good tone setter, especially because the first two missions, as you say, Andy, kind of bring you this really awesome moment of like mission one, everything goes to shit. Mission two, you're having this awesome cinematic moment to set the stage for this new character Gecko who's the sniper and she's nasty
Starting point is 00:17:33 right and then she's a bad dope as name for a sniper we'll talk about the cinematics cinematics very good yeah cinematics we're like oh we're getting up to call a dude the level of like this looks good i like what you're doing here but we go to Cairo lights off let's get through the streets let's go find the high value target
Starting point is 00:17:51 right what is battlefield Nick that I just said what's that Mike all out total destruction warfare so 90 seconds into what should be a really cool heart-pounding stealth, high-tension mission. Me and the NPCs, we're firing out red barrels. Buildings are falling down in the darkness. There is no stealth. There's no tension.
Starting point is 00:18:11 That's my kind of game. It is all out. Maybe I'd like this. And so that is the give and take that you have with this Battlefield 6 campaign that I think the team struggled to find the perfect mix of because when I think of Battlefield, I want that. I want all these vehicles. I want to ride in the tank.
Starting point is 00:18:27 I want to ride in the amphibian SUV that goes in the water on the land. I want a jet pilot a plane, right? And so they have to find this balance between the two. And it just never works out to a really fun, tight nine missions here. That's a bummer. That's a bummer. Man, I will say, though, that, again, I think it's sad to hear that it doesn't quite keep the same quality from the first mission or two because, again, it starts off so strong, Nick. and if anything, I would say it's worth playing
Starting point is 00:18:57 at least the first or two first one or two missions because that, when that title card hits, when everything goes to shit and then it's just, and like, and you're just like, this is the production that I want. This is something that's getting me excited for this adventure. Now, on the flip side, five hours, six hours,
Starting point is 00:19:17 what I'm kind of getting from the how long to beat. That's not bad. That's pretty decent. That is not bad. That's an ideal campaign. Yes. That's for me. as the campaigns are usually used to tutorialize the video game to help newcomers come on of like,
Starting point is 00:19:31 hey, here's the buttons, here's the different equipment that you'll use. And there's some really cool moments where you use some different equipment that we haven't seen in the betas yet, that I don't know if they'll be in multiplayer, right? There is a bomb drone that you will send up. It's just like your RC car and call duty, but this one's a little helicopter drone. And you fly it around, you can descend, you can descend, but you're dropping bombs from the bottom of it as you fly over. That was cool. there's also another one.
Starting point is 00:19:56 I forget the name, but it looks like a mortar. The guy puts it down and you grab behind it and you are now actively flying like remote control bombs in the air like torpedoes at different, you know, enemy vehicles coming in. And that was like cool moments. Other than that, you didn't get to use the ladder, right? I used a sledgehammer once. It wasn't that all exciting.
Starting point is 00:20:17 And so it was just weird mix of there was teases of cool equipment and then absolutely no equipment at all to make anything exciting. But gunplay, man. Yeah. Gun play is tight. Gun play is good. The cinematics team really did a good job. These characters look good.
Starting point is 00:20:34 This Gecko character, given kind of like Rea Ripley vibes with a short dark hair, totally a badass sniper. She was fun to watch. Main character kind of looks like Shadur Sanders. He was all right, you know? And then we get introduced to their ghost, this badass, what's his name really quick?
Starting point is 00:20:51 Let me bring it up. This badass named Hemel. He's got the awesome ghost full on helmet. And he's the ultimate badass of like, I don't ask questions. I just murder people. And you're like, all right. Amlock. Like that's my guy.
Starting point is 00:21:05 Yeah, exactly. Just like a. I do want to ask about freedom in the game. Not like, you know, not the American like freedom because we're all very free here. Yeah. But. This country on the planet. Or else.
Starting point is 00:21:17 Or else. I got rid of free speech. We don't need it. You mentioned. of the levels kind of reminding you of the Model Warfare 3 campaign where some of the levels get a bit open ended and kind of attack this how you want. One level will be that. Would you, yeah, did you see a whole lot of opportunities for, all right, this is free in a sense, but I can kind of see the seams of where it's like, all right, it's really just two decisions. Enter here or enter here.
Starting point is 00:21:45 No, no. This was just a wide open play zone like a multiplayer map that has three anti-air missile launchers that you need to go blow up. And so really, you're going to go one, two, and then three with how the map is laid out. But they have a area where the enemy has reinforcements hanging out in like a small town and then the AA spot that are kind of split into two. Gotcha. So you can go to one, kill all the infantry backup and then go to the AA launcher and take that out. Or you can just cause all out warfare, drive right in there with your car, jump out the whip, blow up the AA unit. They're like, oh, my God, the alarm's going off.
Starting point is 00:22:24 More people come, right? But there was this moment of, man, where is the planes flying overhead? And, of course, we're shooting down the AA, so there's no planes. But, like, there's no, like, really wow factor to it. It's just me and four or three AI units. We run up to them. I mean, the bases are touching each other. And I'm sniping the reinforcements.
Starting point is 00:22:46 The base, the main base, they don't hear any of this mayhem. As I'm dropping bombs, people are screaming. Really good headphones. Like, none of this matters, right? And so by number two, you're going to get bored and just go straight to the objective, fight that, and then number three. And so it wasn't really this awesome freedom moment of like, here's a giant, kind of like called due to the recent one, they had one with a giant map,
Starting point is 00:23:10 if you remember, on the last campaign, where it was like, oh, you really can go to whichever one you want. There's a flow to this. Okay. And so that was the one only giant open mission. The rest are exactly what you think. linear go from point A, hold down a spot, point B, shoot a bunch of people in a small tunnel, then go to the end, hold out for your Evac.
Starting point is 00:23:28 That's the mission. Not trying to spoil anything, but are there other characters to control later on? You jump around different perspectives from your squad. Okay. You are Murphy pretty much through and through, but you'll have a couple missions where you'll become Gecko. There's a mission where you'll become another character. outside of the squad that you met earlier.
Starting point is 00:23:53 But really, you are Dagger 1-3, and you are focusing on those four characters, learning about them, learning about their past, not super far in the past. It's very much of like, hey, this is what happened six to eight months ago to get us where we're at as we fight off Pax Armada,
Starting point is 00:24:08 the PMC, the private military group that maybe has ties to the inside. Maybe the White House is helping them. NATO. Does the president Georgia? What's happening here? And so, yeah, you'll start to unravel that. but there's these really cool moments in the cinematics. We're like, man, this is badass, right?
Starting point is 00:24:25 We get into this house. It's all dark. They're in here. They're questioning this person, and they want to know what's going on. Is it all the way to the top? And then we'll go, well, you remember what happened in Georgia?
Starting point is 00:24:35 And then you'll zoom back out to the other mission. And we'll play through that to kind of get the backstory of what's going on there. Heck yeah. I have a super chat here from Ian Aeronoff, $5 super chat says, paying another birthday tax. I turn 33 today. Thanks for always being my daily forum of news and entertainment.
Starting point is 00:24:55 Thank you, Ian. Happy birthday to you. Hope you have a lovely one. Hope you're going to spend the weekend playing lots of fun games. Remember, get your super chats in for a snowmike, Mike. Ask him any questions about Battlefield 6. Do you think it's worth me playing this? You think I would enjoy this at all?
Starting point is 00:25:11 I thought you would, but as I went through this. I think I played maybe an hour of the last College Duty campaign. I think I got to that level you were talking about. I was like, this is pretty cool. and I don't think I ever went beyond that. There is three missions that I wish I could show people. Other than that, the other six, I don't think you would enjoy it all. I don't think you would enjoy this package, especially at five hours.
Starting point is 00:25:32 This is not what Battlefield Six wants you to see and participate in. I think this is just what... This goes more like an afterthought. Yeah, this is the old school thinking we got to have a campaign. I do wish, at the end, I think the final two missions, things start to ramp up where I'm like, oh, I think you could have kept going and given me more, but you just didn't have it there for the first seven out of that. So there's probably, are they three missions that I would want to show you
Starting point is 00:25:59 that had really cool moments in it? Are they broken up into nine? Are they doing like the Andor thing because of like the first three or one act, the second three or another? No, I wouldn't call it like that. They're just kind of just nine at random. It's clearly the moments, right? You meet the, you find out who the villain is.
Starting point is 00:26:15 You meet the villain. Shit, the villain got one over on you. Now you've got to rally the squad and go get them, you know. So that's how that story goes for sure. Okay, very, very cool. Remember to get your super chats in gamers, and we will ask Mike about the call duty or the Battlefield 6 campaign. I'm just going to keep on saying that.
Starting point is 00:26:33 I'm going to keep saying Call Duty. That's all right. I'm sorry. I'm sorry, Battlefields. Cool. I think we've kind of gotten what I need out of this. I kind of immediately got the vibe that I'm going to wait for reviews. my initial thought. I played an hour
Starting point is 00:26:50 and a half of it or whatever and was like this was cool. This, you know, got really neat. And if we keep this level of quality, then I might be in. But if we keep this level of repetition, then maybe I fall off. Maybe I wait for people to see, oh,
Starting point is 00:27:06 but man, the second half of it gets really, really crazy. And to hear that it's a bit more middling, kind of bumps me out, unfortunately. Sounds lackluster. Uncle Death says, how much is limb biscuit in the campaign? That's going to really be the deciding factor for me. Can I be real?
Starting point is 00:27:20 Because if it's just 100% Limbiscuit, I'm playing that shit tonight. He's the end credits. Oh, because I was watching the end credits because I wanted to know who did the voice acting for Dagger 1 through 3
Starting point is 00:27:30 because I liked all those characters. Really, I liked Gecko a lot. I'd like to see more than Ghetto. But all of a sudden, Limbiscuit came on and I started thinking about you two. Yeah. It's like, is this.
Starting point is 00:27:41 Because you know me, I don't know limb biscuit that well. I was like, oh shit, I think this is him. You don't have to know limb biscuit. It's a band. It's the whole group of human beings, yeah. I didn't know he was Lindviscuit.
Starting point is 00:27:53 I'm not familiar with Mr. Biscuit's word. It's like my favorite man, Kid Rock. I wasn't aware of that, man. We have a $10 super chat from Jenny San Nuggy. Says, hi, gamers, Nuggies here, number one cop stream around Twitch. I love the Blops 6 campaign. It was my first ever. This is my first battlefield campaign.
Starting point is 00:28:10 Can you see newbies like me still having a good time solo? 100%. I think this is what that is for. If you were a first timer in the battlefield, I think this will give you a great tutorial slash a nice onboarding on to everything, right? Because you will get in the tank. You will pilot a couple of the vehicles so you start to learn about that. You'll have a good time with the destruction.
Starting point is 00:28:30 Instead of jumping directly into multiplayer where maybe you have a tough time, it's going a little overwhelming. This is a good five hours of learning, growing, or just giving you a little ease of like, hey, let me jump over to this, take some time away from multiplayer and then come back. Smalls HD in the live chat says, hi, I'm limp. Limbiscuit. My name is Limpium.
Starting point is 00:28:52 Sure. We will get into the rest of our fall for the, for the Gibboni boys, for the shooters. I can't wait to get into it, talk about a lot more first-person shooters, third-person shooters, but we'll have to hear that after a word from our sponsors. This episode's brought to you by Factor. Starting point is 00:30:16 I'll tell you what I'm prepared to become the best medic of all time. Let's okay, really quick on the campaign, a fun one for you is they clearly use the classes. And it's great of if you go down during the campaign, someone will come and hit you with the, oh, I got a red plenty. The little res pack. And they give you three. They're like, he gives you two. And then he's on the third one.
Starting point is 00:30:35 He's like, this is your last one. And that's a fun little mechanic. We're out of ice packs. If you need ammo, the guy will throw the ammo pack at you at all time. So like, that was fun. That was very battlefield moments. I can't wait to become a medic. Let's get real.
Starting point is 00:30:50 Okay, we have a big fall coming up, boys. Three big games that are tailor made for us, kicking off with battlefield. Okay? The real question. It's time for us to squad. The question is this. I agree with you, Mike, and I'm sorry to have to interrupt. Yeah, it's all right.
Starting point is 00:31:04 Because I think you were really trying to hype us up there, but we do have a couple bones to pick here. Oh, okay. Because, you know, you hit me up, you say, Nick, you want to, you want to fly, you want to ride today. I said, of course, the Gibroni boys ride again. You say, eh, Andy can't make it. We were playing cod, we filled with Roger.
Starting point is 00:31:21 Yeah. No disrespect to Roger. He's no Andy. But he's not you. He's not putting up numbers. I'm well aware. He didn't prove him wrong. He don't got your stamina.
Starting point is 00:31:29 Yeah. He played for 15 minutes and he had to go take a little nap. That was crazy. Can you believe that? Left us by ourselves. He definitely was on that stream for an hour and had to do production stuff afterwards. Took a little win over there. Greg's all that.
Starting point is 00:31:44 Greg's got cold. He's damped off the sweat. He didn't have it. Greg's got that little doggy bed by his. Badge was just curled up in that thing took a nap. Okay. Barrett had to step in.
Starting point is 00:31:54 Barrett, it turns out, has been a call-duty player since, like, birth and never told me that because, quote, I don't want you guys to pick on me. What did we do? We proceeded to pick on him the entire time.
Starting point is 00:32:03 The one question is, Andy, what are you excited about? Because when the three of us fly, we make magic. Are you in the, are you going to roll with us in some, in the new map in war zone?
Starting point is 00:32:12 And the new call of duty? Well, first let's get to battlefield. Because... A slow to doubtfield, because that's number one. I want a list. I want a list. I want to get good at being a medic.
Starting point is 00:32:22 I was watching gameplay of people running around and res in seven people per second. It felt like you know, you're trying to keep your res stats up. It seemed like a fun way to play the video game because otherwise the core gameplay and the core loop for Balthill 6 has never interested in me. No, me neither. However, the Battle Royale, whenever that happens.
Starting point is 00:32:42 Do we know when that's happened? Do you guys played any of that yet? No, we have not played that, seen that. We have no word on that yet. I think that's going to be a couple months out here. Whenever that happens, that's where I am fully, fully into wanting to play Battlefield 6. Until then, it's the weekend. It's like, yeah, I'll play it over the weekend.
Starting point is 00:33:01 I'll have fun with y'all. Okay. But I'm not in any way going to be, you know, super into leveling up stuff unless I get really into being a medic, unless I'm starting to res people left and right. Do you think they keep those classes, though, for the Battle Royale? They can't, right? They're not going to keep the classes for that, right? I don't know
Starting point is 00:33:20 Mike do you remember at what that's a great question I mean what was it called firestorm ring a fire ring a fire I think it was firestorm though do they keep the classes you know maybe do you have a med pack
Starting point is 00:33:33 for somebody stuff like that it's a question I mean maybe perks I don't know how you play that out Nick that's a great question because that would be interesting that would be a really interesting dynamic
Starting point is 00:33:44 if you're like hey you could play as these three different classes in a battle aisle we haven't really seen that right No, usually you're just generic soldier 42. Yeah, usually you have kind of your mini perks. That's pretty much right. It's probably the thing like Apex.
Starting point is 00:33:56 You didn't really have classes, right? Well, you have your heroes. I guess you have your heroes. You do sort of have class. The heroes were in classes. Yeah, they had like a healing support class or whatever. Yeah, okay. So maybe they do keep that.
Starting point is 00:34:06 See, it's interesting. You want to be a medic. During the campaign, I've changed. Mainly because I was so dog shit. I'm dropping the medic. We're becoming anti-tank boys. I'm going full rocket launcher. If there's a vehicle,
Starting point is 00:34:18 somewhere there, you call on me, I'm destroyed. I like it. The problem with Andy's always so pro-tank, and we're always anti-dict. This is really the problem. This is the divide and kind of funny way now. I'm going full engineer. I'm out there, rocket launcher. Anything you need taking down, I'm taking it down. Okay, that's my goal.
Starting point is 00:34:36 Because, like, I, I know I'm a shooter. I know I have the word of a street. You don't want to be a recon and be snipers. I know, well, I just, I know I got some skills to pay the bills. I just, I just can't hang. I don't got it like everybody else does. So it's like, how can I have fun in this game? What could, what sort of meta objectives could I chase
Starting point is 00:35:02 that would make me feel fulfilled as a player? Yeah. And what are you investing? And I would love to just try to like, all right, I had, you know, 32 resurrections of bodies the last time. So you're imagining. Can I beat that? SMG with the res pack and you're just running.
Starting point is 00:35:22 Running. Okay. I see people needing help. I want to be the guy that people on TikTok are talking about like, there's this fucking, I want to be, let me solo her, the Eldon Ring player who was like, hey, I want to fight Malania, summon me to your fight. Let me solo her. I'll fight her for you.
Starting point is 00:35:37 I want to be the, there's just legend out there who's healing everybody. This guy has a ghost. This guy's an angel. He may be a legend. I don't even know if he's real, you know. Like that's amazing. It's a figment of mad imagination. If they just look at you, you don't even have a gun.
Starting point is 00:35:49 Yeah. You just have med kits everywhere. Like, I'm down on the ground and they just see me floating from like the ceiling. They're like, oh my God. Yeah, exactly. I want to be that legend on the field. Because it feels like I want to find a reason to get into this game and to play. And I want to find a reason to get into this mode.
Starting point is 00:36:07 Now you're known as never worked for me. You're known as the nitro rifle though. You don't want to click heads? You don't want to snipe? I do. I just don't. got it like that. Like there was so many TikTok
Starting point is 00:36:17 clips of like that girl from C9 who was just clicking heads. Remember her? She was killing the game. You don't want to be that. You want to be the shroud? 80 yards off in the distance. I don't mind being the shot if I'm playing
Starting point is 00:36:30 against everybody that's like you all. You know? What does that mean? You know, really hard work and dedicated. People who are putting the 9 to 5. Yeah. They don't have much time to invest in the game.
Starting point is 00:36:43 The people who suck at the game. That's what you're trying to say. Like, I don't mind, you know, trying to be the shooter when I'm amongst people that I am equally skilled with. Sure. But I know that's not reality. I know I'm going to get my teeth kicked in every time. Like, I also just don't understand the rhythm yet. That's another thing about it.
Starting point is 00:37:00 I didn't have a whole lot of time with the beta. And the rhythm of it, Mike, just, I was dancing to a different tempo. I mean, I was watching everybody else dance on the floor and I'm like, I am on a three, four tempo. I'm in a swing tempo. and you all are on a disco dance. I was dying all of time, and I just never, ever found momentum in what I was doing. And I know that's all my fault.
Starting point is 00:37:22 I'm not blaming the game for that. We're talking about breakthrough, conquest, escalation, domination, king of the hill, rush, squad death match, team death match. I mean, the marquee game modes are not our game mode. We're battle royale boys. We are. That's where we like to be.
Starting point is 00:37:38 We are. Right. But now we have to break that habit and become part of the team, part of a unit, and start to buy into breakthrough conquest, where it is, hey, squad of four, how do we help this team of 32? How are we contributing to the battlefield moving from point A to B, taking over points, maybe getting pushed off a point,
Starting point is 00:37:58 resetting, maybe finding a point that's weak further in the distance, getting in a Humvee, driving over to it, right? Like, how do we break this cycle of we just drop in and shoot? You know, that's what we do. My biggest problem with it, Nick, is... And you suffer from this as well. The ADHD. Severe ADHD, yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:19 It doesn't allow me to see the macro. Well, okay, so I'm gonna disagree with you. I can't fully zoom out and go, here are all my objectives. I get so caught up in, I want to chase out one motherfucker. Yes. It was killing me a lot of it. And I would agree with you,
Starting point is 00:38:32 and you're absolutely right. But here's my biggest problem with Battlefield in general. It just feels like everything immediately gets disjointed because there's no level of leadership that's like coordinating what's going on. So like with cod multiplayer, you're what, what is it? Six feet six on six. We need Bruce to bully us around like last. Yes, but that's hard to do when you've got that many people on the map.
Starting point is 00:38:52 And to Mike's point, like, yeah, it would be cool. But the four of us are, if we're locked in, we're talking, but no one else is communicating. Then it just feels like chaos. Now it's four on 28th. Yeah, then I just feel like I'm just being ground down by a team that's just sitting up. What? It's a sick sweater. Thanks, buddy.
Starting point is 00:39:06 I'd say what I like that. Man, nice. I like this. You get a combo on the sweater. But that's the hardest thing for me is where I have the most fun playing these games when Mike is locked in, you're locked in. I'm trying to be locked in. We've got a couple people on our squad that are killers and we're coordinated and we feel like we're pushing the pace of the game. And I've just never felt that way with Battlefield ever.
Starting point is 00:39:28 I always try to play with the exception of when when Bruce is like, okay, we're going over here, which is cool. But even then there's four of us and there's 30 other people on the map and who Lord knows what they're doing. It just doesn't feel like there's any rhyme or reason to it. It's hard to get a groove. Picked as in-game leader. And when they ping something, all squads see that and no. Or if we were all on like, like, in-game leader, Mike is the head honcho. And then every team has one squad leader, but you hear me in your headset.
Starting point is 00:39:56 And I'm like, all right, squad leaders, we're all going to be. And then they're like, all right, squad, we got to go over to be. Let's go. Captain Mike said it. It really does. It really does need. There needs to be like a general that's just overwatch. That's just like telling everyone what to be able to do.
Starting point is 00:40:07 That's a great idea. Back in Codd 4, they had that on a Palm Pilot. Do you remember that? You could, uh, someone who was on their iPad. Yeah, and they were clicking on things, calling and stuff. That's right. Yeah, that was been fun. I mean, again, I, every time this game pops up, every time a new battlefield pops up,
Starting point is 00:40:20 I want to play. I want to be, I want it to be fun. I want more of that experience. That is my favorite type of experience in gaming. Getting on with you guys and trying to get kills and being competitive and having you guys dog on me and just really learning the mechanics and feeling that you have a game that you can, for lack of a better term, invest in and get better at and get like and want to you know level up at and level up those guns and get those mods to me I love I would I would spend hundreds of hours on this like we had what we did in war zone it's just every time we go it feels like we get punched in the gut and then it's just this long laborious experience and I'll be honest to you half the time I'm like I don't even know if we're doing a dent oh I have no idea who's winning this and honestly most of us are all we're all just losing this at the end of the day because we've just lost three hours the worst sometimes when we would get put into games that were halfway through as well and they're really going to try to that's a kick to the teeth to not let that happen anymore that's a kick to the teeth that's a kick to the teeth that's a kick to the teeth.
Starting point is 00:41:07 That is something of like when you think of servers and all this jazz and people trying to fill in places. When we get put in, it's like, oh, this game is like three force over. This sucks, right? Like, what are we even doing? Because we're waiting for the next game to help fill that out. I mean, that happens in Call of Duty as well, but it's not, but the games are so much faster. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:24 You know, the average Call of Duty game is what, five minutes max? Yeah, probably six to 12, yeah. Yeah, I mean, like, you're not going too crazy with that. But, yeah, battlefields, there was one map we played. We were just in the, I was like, this is our life now. We live in this fucking game. This is like three hours. I'm going to make it my mission to appreciate,
Starting point is 00:41:41 to try to do my best to appreciate Battlefield 6 because I know based on what everybody's been saying multiplayer-wise that this feels like it's back. Gameplay, gunplay, sound design, the giant all-out warfare that no other game really brings. The finals brought a lot of destruction, which was awesome. Shout out to the finals. Finals was fine.
Starting point is 00:42:04 But like Battlefield brings something special, and they have a lot of great stuff right now in this sauce that I just hope us, in particular, the audience I know is excited. It's like, let's just open our hearts. Yeah. Let's enjoy this. And I think that's the cool part about this conversation is like,
Starting point is 00:42:18 guess what? End of the month, we switch completely to arc graders. Woo! And we get our extraction on. Then we get a little tighter. We get with the group of three. And we start salvaging metal, broken electronics. Mike.
Starting point is 00:42:34 My mind is your mind. Tell me. I'm locked and I know you're locked Yeah Okay But this is always the problem Right There's somebody who's big time
Starting point is 00:42:43 How do we get Andy Not big time I was on that How do we get him At your desk How do we get Andy to commit To playing this game with us 24 seven for like two weeks straight Exactly
Starting point is 00:42:52 Like give us one week Give us a week of your life That's all we want Let us come to your house Yeah Yeah yeah Let us sleep in your room Let us sleep in your house
Starting point is 00:42:59 Let us wear your BJs We'll cook you some food We'll pay your dog This could be us I am so excited about this We had one brief, beautiful moment. We were all really into doing. And I've never felt more inspired and happy to have friends in my entire life.
Starting point is 00:43:14 And then Andy just left a sand bike outside. He didn't give a shit anymore. I'm so excited for Arc Raiders. That is crazy. You left that sand bite. Don't forget that. Okay, that was fucked up. You did that to him.
Starting point is 00:43:24 He had to build around it. Nick did ask me to get rid of it. I was like, I think it's funnier when you get mad about it. You finally gave me the go ahead. Did I tell you what happened? You finally gave me the go head to let it go. And I left it outside. A week goes by, nothing.
Starting point is 00:43:39 Two weeks go by, still there. I go to Spain, I come back, still fucking there. I go, shit, it's resilient. I get the buggy, I push it out into the middle of the desert, and I put a little thomper on it, and I get it swallowed by it. I think I have a word, we're swallowed it. But that's what I don't want to have happen on Arc Raiders. I want to invest in this game. How do we do this?
Starting point is 00:43:54 I mean, we've done it, right? We know what we're getting into with Arc Raiders. We're very excited about it. The fun parties is, I think we need to buy in to proximity chat. Oh, we have. group have to accept that some kids are going to say some bad apples out
Starting point is 00:44:10 there and they might say some bad shit but we can influence the world positively like we didn't call duty you you see yeah we got so far and then how did that stream end? 5 out of the 6 games Andy we had people laughing they were positive people willing to share their information with us
Starting point is 00:44:26 we were homies with these guys yeah we almost starting exchanging addresses which there was one lady who was like oh like where about are you from and then Mike ignored that question and then changed the conversation to Battlefield 6. Well, you know how sometimes it goes to the loading screen. You lose them for a second.
Starting point is 00:44:41 All right. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:45 Yeah. See, my thing is like, look, again, I know that I'm crazier than most people this office. And if left to me, this company would probably not exist anymore. It's been burned to the ground a long time ago. But I will say,
Starting point is 00:44:55 I think we can, I think we have to turn it on. And we just have to tell the audience, look, we're going to shut the shit down as soon as we hear it. But some people are, you know, games.
Starting point is 00:45:06 We're going to betray them, Andy. Oh, I didn't sign up for that. We're going to get these kids. See, this is where he goes. He always goes, we're going to be friends. I'm going to spin them in the web. Oh, what do you guys look for? I need to spit him in a web.
Starting point is 00:45:17 I need to like a spider. Look at my buddy, Andy. He's going to snipe that robot. He's a master manipulator. Let's all get together and let's go attack this one mega robot. And they're going to be like, yeah, man, that's a great idea. And we'll be six of them. And as they look at that robot, I'm going to tell you to execute what.
Starting point is 00:45:33 Andy, fucking kill them. And then it's on. That's the thrill that this extraction shooter is going to bring to us, I think. I will, I still just. I'll never forget how much I didn't even know you until we played the cycle together. And you just burn that kid. That guy wanted that space weed.
Starting point is 00:45:50 Yeah. He just lit that kid out. But I was like, oh, that was so mean. That left a lasting traumatic impression on me. I still, well, like, I still just can't forgive Mike for pulling the most Nick Scarpino thing ever. Oh, God. of of like running way the hell out there
Starting point is 00:46:09 pulling the dumbest play ever and then asking for a res as if he was easy to get and was like Andy you better fucking come res me I'm like Mike you ran out there like an idiot you made the worst decision possible you got shot out there giant giant monster of giant spider robot out there and you just got destroyed I have a lot of stuff
Starting point is 00:46:26 and I can't be risking it out there all right I go get you boom I start getting shot at fucking Mike God damn it Mike I'm sorry. I need you guys to keep me on a tight leash. Because my problem, like you guys with Battlefield is, is I start to lose a little bit of interest. Right?
Starting point is 00:46:44 Because, like, I salvaging broken metal. I'm bored of the loose. Because we need a straight objective. We need to focus on that objective. Yes. But I think we got to commit to this. And I think we got to be the guys that are dominating in the space. To me, the excitement of these extraction shooters is not necessarily going up against
Starting point is 00:47:02 the NBC. sees is going, it's clashing with real people. Andy doesn't like, we got a clash occasion. Andy doesn't like clash. We got to clash. I don't mind the clash. It's just my problem is okay. A real conversation.
Starting point is 00:47:16 Tell the real. Because I know the real. This is a real conversation. Let's get real. You say it. No, don't sugarcoat it. I know it's about me. I know you're going to talk shit about bad I am. The clash Yeah. Asking for the clash, wanting the violence
Starting point is 00:47:34 but not being able to reciprocate in an equal manner. Okay. Oh, but we're not good enough for the class. Yes. You always want the violence and then we die. It's because we don't and again, we don't clash. You're not
Starting point is 00:47:49 wrong, but the more you clash the better you get at the clash. We can't play the game for two days and then clash with these groponies that have been playing since birth. These guys that I don't even know. You'll look at some of these average players like how long they've been in this game. like it hasn't even been out that long.
Starting point is 00:48:05 How have you played 900 hours of a game that came out yesterday? People have in the early. How are you so leveled up at this game already? We just got to commit to it. That's what I'm saying. This is our new game. We're playing this game better or worse. Is we want the clash.
Starting point is 00:48:19 And the problem is, is the moment we hear a gunshot, we drop everything. Get horny. And we go, let you start running over there. We have no loot. We have no guns. We have no bullet. Why not? Right?
Starting point is 00:48:28 And it's like, no, I understand you. Why are you playing it like a battle royale? You know what I mean? I understand you want to be. clash, but like let's loot, let's get a little bit stronger and better. We'll find them on the second clash, but no, me and Nick hear the clash and we're like, let's get there right now. We're like a dog.
Starting point is 00:48:42 And then there's a turret robot up on some roof. Yeah, that really kind of screwed us out. All of a sudden, they got the drop on us because we don't know where we're running to. We don't know the map. We don't know the buttons. This was one of the few games that I did have a lot of fun just hopping in solo as well. Like I, like, even off stream, it wasn't just to make content and like put stuff up on YouTube. It was like, I want to hop in and like, I level this up and progress this thing and
Starting point is 00:49:06 had some crazy moments where I'm all alone and I hear lots of footsteps and I'm gonna do down and I'm terrified my heart's racing. And then I hear three more people run and they run by me and I'm behind a wall and I shoot them as they don't see me and oh my God, I have all this loot around me and I'm freaking out. Like there are so many organic, amazing moments. Barrett, can you play the clip that I sent through to assets a little while ago? Yeah, you got it. Six, five. Oh, he's gonna die in your arms.
Starting point is 00:49:33 Don't you fucking walk out me? Holy shit. I have two percent out of me. I start the res. I snipe them. I'm gonna shut it. I'm gonna shut it. Me too.
Starting point is 00:49:44 Oh my God, you saved me about your life. I went down, no. And he just leaves you. Hey, you're God. You're by your guys. Who's shooting at us? Oh, they are, we're in between people. Of course.
Starting point is 00:49:57 Of course we're in between people. Well, I mean, why was, why was, First of the first question, Your Honor. Why was Mike just out in the middle of an open field? Because he got bored. That's what he does. Mike, you can't get, but you got to lock it. I got bored. That's right.
Starting point is 00:50:09 I said you got to keep on the type. We need to get, we need to get a prescription for Adderall. We all need to take it. We all just need to lock in on this game. What you need to do. Okay. Fuck. Look, Mike, people enjoy watching you stream.
Starting point is 00:50:21 People enjoy you. You don't have to go all out to, like, I know it's. To let me. But in your mind, you go, all right, nothing's, happened for three minutes. Let me go in the middle of nowhere. I'm ISO Joe. I got to create. Yeah. Like fucking I'll never. I'll never. I was out of the league way sooner
Starting point is 00:50:40 than he should have been. Watch this. We go. He wasn't a team player. Mike, I'll never forget. Joe Johnson reference. Let me tell you my, let me tell you my favorite Mike story in recent in recent years. Again, this will be the last Dune Awakening reference we have on this because we're not talking about that game. It is a great game. It's my game. It could be my game at the year. Wow. It could be. I'm going to get Greg to play. I started messaging on Steam last.
Starting point is 00:51:00 night. Just drop it. I get Greg to start playing with them. I'm gonna get Greg on my side. But Mike dies, of course, because he doesn't use his shields, which is a core mechanic of the game. Never use the shield. A core mechanic of the game is to have a shield that you upgrade and then it saves you
Starting point is 00:51:15 from attacks. And then suddenly starts getting shot down and going, help me. Getting angry at us. Angry at us. Because he's three miles away. Help me. And then I'm like, you're not even, we're doing your mission with you to get you up to You're not even here anymore.
Starting point is 00:51:31 You've left. And then I tune into his stream. And I look over, Mike's like, well, I got eaten by the worm. And you know, and I was like, did he? And his chat's like, no, he didn't. They clip it out. He's doing donuts in the middle of the open desert because he wants to die. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:46 That's what he wants. He got eaten by the worm three times on purpose. There's a lot of self-sabotage. It really is. I'm seeking domination. I'm seeking a leader. You are the leader. You're the leader.
Starting point is 00:51:57 I'm seeking a leader on top of the leader. Then I'll be your leader. I'm going to be the art grader here. I'm into this. All right. So after art graders. Let's talk about Call of Dutney. Call of Dutty.
Starting point is 00:52:05 We just got done with a week-long beta. I came back from coming back. I didn't play a single second of it. I cannot believe you didn't play a man. I'll tell you what. It was such a big file. Dude. And that night that you all were playing, I was,
Starting point is 00:52:16 look, first off, okay. Let's talk about it. Battlenet. Battlenet. Sucks. Why does it feel like I'm downloading on 56K, AOL 4.0. Optimized. What's weird to be is you get on a battle net,
Starting point is 00:52:29 You get on the launcher, you go, this looks like a really nice, crisp modern launcher. You go to Steam, it looks like something made in fucking 1985. And Steam downloads like that. Dude, Steam is the greatest. Can we just say, why are we on BattleNet? Why didn't we get the close on Steam? Mike is like, I got a code free. I was like, oh, cool, thanks.
Starting point is 00:52:44 Type in the, put the code into Battlenet and download. About 38 minutes later, I'm like, all right, man, I'm at 28%. I got a, I'm going to like drop out of the Discord. Maybe that'll speed things up. And I know you can go to BattleNet and say, do unlimited speed upload down. It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter.
Starting point is 00:53:03 It doesn't help. Every single person in the Discord said, he's never coming back. It was a 28%. I turned off my PC. I was like, it's not worth it. Dude, there's nothing hits harder than a Call of Duty update.
Starting point is 00:53:15 And by hits, I mean, hits you in the gut. When you're ready to play that game and you look at it to us update pending, you're like, I'm done. This is going to take all fucking night. It's 100 gigs for shaders. What even is a shader?
Starting point is 00:53:26 They did it again to us. They did, of course. You download the beta. You click on it. You click on it. Update requires restart. Yep. Of course.
Starting point is 00:53:33 You restart it. You turn it on. We got to turn it off. My favorite. Turn it off the cracks the game. Turn it back on. What is going on here? My favorite is that they still, for whatever reason, and I'm sure it has a very good
Starting point is 00:53:42 reason. But you know, Call of Duty has a lot of game modes. Yeah. There's a lot. You know, you got your Battle Royale. You've got your, you've got your classic. You're walking into a buffet. You've got a lot of things.
Starting point is 00:53:52 So they have a launcher. We're making a launcher. Right now. You've got a launcher in BattleNet that launches is a launcher. and the launcher launches another game but then quits both games and then you have to fucking load the shaders and then once the shaders are done loading update requires restart. I'm trying to explain to Roger
Starting point is 00:54:05 you can't start playing. You got to let the shaders download. He goes oh I didn't know that's how it worked like that's how it works you gotta sit here. Has he never played a PC game before? No but Call of Duty is especially egregious when it comes to that for whatever reason like I would just really like it if one time I fired up that game
Starting point is 00:54:21 and it just let me play the game but let's talk about it. But let's fucking talk about it. It's back. It's back. Really? Oh my God. It's fun as fuck, though. Barrett and I are best friends now because he plays Collet Duty. He's in the squad now.
Starting point is 00:54:33 We got four. We had, we had a Rackney had said Nuggies was in the squad with us. We had our guy, Cam. Barrett's viciously nodding his head, no. Barrett's our homie now. He was in, bro. He's unfortunately now stuck to play with us. It's right.
Starting point is 00:54:46 Dude, it was so fun. We played Search and Destroy. That was fun. So we like Circus. It's the best mode. It's the best mode. We were great. Now, question for you, Andy.
Starting point is 00:54:55 actually, I'll give you a multiple choice. as to how the last couple games went. We get into search and the story, we're having fun. Cam interacted is doing a lot of the heavy lifting. A lot of heavy lifting. Me and Mike holding our own. Barrett, very, very good. Jenny joined us later.
Starting point is 00:55:09 Last couple games, though. Demons. The six of us. Against demons. The actual devil. Hitting the face. He yells above. And I look, and I've never,
Starting point is 00:55:23 Andy, I've never seen this before. I go, oh, Mike, that's crazy, that guy just jumped and turned in the air. And Mike goes, oh, Nick, you're about to make the highlight real? Because these guys are trying to 360 no scope. Off the walls. Just off the wall jump. They don't care.
Starting point is 00:55:38 They don't give a shit. They know beyond a shadow of a doubt that they're going to win this game. And I've never felt more demoralized, angry. And I'll be honest, radicalized. Yeah. I am a radicalized. He would be. It was so fun. It's been the nine to five versus the sweats. It always has been. The sweat, right? Like the nine to
Starting point is 00:55:54 fiveers come home. And they just want to relaxed. They want to play and enjoy their game, but they don't get that. And then they've been radicalized to say, I'm coming after that kid. Okay? That fucking no job living in his mom and dad's basement streamer, I'm coming after you. And then it becomes a battle. Mike, you're going to be my friend. I'm going to make you my friend. These guys are on open mic? Just screaming at these guys that he wants to be their best friends. You can't force people to be your friend. No, he did. He got a couple of them. I got a couple. I beat a couple of them over with his positive.
Starting point is 00:56:27 What happened to that one guy in a kid? What happened to that one guy? Beef hammer or something like that. What was that thing? Yeah, it was something like that. Fart box. You're going to be my friend. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:56:43 Oh, my God. At one point, they were doing the, what was it? The was that? Oh, was that back? We were bringing it back. I don't think I ever left that particular city that these kids are playing. Before he started. throwing racial slurs at a couple
Starting point is 00:56:57 hard racial slurs. All he would get on the mic is go and then we were and then his final part of word was we were like wow you took it there that's why he went hard on that but the game feels good. Feels good man uh the movement is fun I had to get a little used to the sort of
Starting point is 00:57:15 wall jumping but it's very very easy I mean it's it just feels good the shooting's good call of duty has always had in my opinion the best shooting mechanic it just feels right and I'm excited, man. I'm excited for that new map when that new little tiny floor's home map comes out.
Starting point is 00:57:30 That looks good. The question is, though, we keep coming back to this. Are we going to ride? Are we going to ride like we did originally or is Andy going to big time us and go, I'm sorry, guys. I have to play Liza P for the 17th time. Yeah, I've played it twice.
Starting point is 00:57:45 We understand you're the greatest. I have played it twice. Andy's out of here signing for ATQ to speed. There's a new Eldon Ring mod that lets me play on Game Boy. I got to play. I played it twice. Okay. You played 19 days straight
Starting point is 00:57:59 of Pokemon. It was a long time. It was way longer than that, actually. You were so, you were playing Kingdom Hearts for like 15 years. Bad move. We need to know if you're back, Andy. I need to, well, I also know, Andy, you're important to me. Yeah, very important to me.
Starting point is 00:58:12 You are, you are literally the cornerstone of the Gibronies. But really when it boils down to it is this, I know how to get you back in. I know how to get you back in. Yeah. Okay. And I know the way to your heart. And he's in the chat. right now. Yeah. Yeah. It's through one Chris Anka.
Starting point is 00:58:27 Is the weapons arbiter going to fly with us? Well, are we going to get the spaceman? Are we going to get Maddock? Are we going to get Washington? Where are there? Where does JD even live these days? Where are the job? I need the lineup of boys that I jump in and I feel bad because I'm taking someone's spot who's better than me, but I take it anyway because I'm mixed car fucking Pino. Where's Chris anchor? Are you back on this Chris? He just said no. He just said no. Little didn't even capitalize the end. Just put no in the chat. So much ranked effort. It didn't even capitalize it. Chris Sankham, me and Nick, for him just to drop us a sack of potato.
Starting point is 00:58:58 Me and Chris got, we best friends because of Cod. Triangle offense and defense. We were working. We're playing that one mode that's like, what was that one mode we play where it was like? You all just really exhausted. Super hard for. Yeah, we really weren't. We?
Starting point is 00:59:11 I'll give me 20%. That's 10% of that. No, no. That's 80% of problem right there. I'd go, no, I would, if I were to put, if I were to go into Chris Anka's brain, it was mine. If I were to go to Chris Anka, star artist of the Spider-verse movie franchise.
Starting point is 00:59:28 Very busy person, very talented person, has no business dealing with our bullshit. Shouldn't. If I were to go into Chris Anka's mind and go, who annoyed you more? I would give 40% Mike 60% Nick. I think any given Sunday. I mean, I'm not going to disagree with you.
Starting point is 00:59:49 An argument can be made. I'm 35, 65, Mike. Wow. He's 65. You think I'm 65? 60. Oh, that's tough. That's tough.
Starting point is 00:59:59 That's tough. That's tough. I'm like to fucking. Chris Anger says Nick's right. He says Nick's right. Was any given Sunday. Any given Sunday. Any given Sunday.
Starting point is 01:00:05 That's true. We did like the push his button sometimes. A little too. The problem. Here's the real problem. Here's how we really last Chris. It was because you all started playing fucking Marvel rivals. Like it's the second coming of Christ.
Starting point is 01:00:16 And he really got a fun game. And I just couldn't get into it. I couldn't. Yeah. I love those. Maybe maybe the timing will work. out right when rival starts to you know, just plateau a little bit
Starting point is 01:00:28 for everyone they're looking for that new experience. That game that game had the juice we called it. That game was game of the summer game you know, the year. It had the juice. It stuck around and it's still around. Chris Anka brought up a very good point. You push every fight with 40 bullets, no arm and ranked. Man, remember how great ranked was? So much fun. Remember how fun? How much
Starting point is 01:00:46 fun we had and ranked? We love. We got to do it again. It was such a volatile place to be in that Discord when you were pushing fights with no armor and six bullets in your weapon that you hadn't reloaded yet and then you go, I fucking didn't reload. A million micro decisions being made at a moment's notice. You know, it's a lot going on in the war zone.
Starting point is 01:01:07 Yeah. There's a Nikki Minaj skin that has somehow slid, slide cancel, slid, double jump punny hopped on top of us. How are we supposed to know what's happening? I got killed by a jumping front flipping 21 Savage. I got what do you want to? The B was a buttonhead running around. I'm sure we forgot our shields.
Starting point is 01:01:25 That guy just did something so amazing. The net code can handle it. And you can just feel when they're out there looking at you laughing. A lot of bad decisions. We got to get back to range. So at the end of the day, the three big games coming. The two games I'm most excited about it. Give me your top two.
Starting point is 01:01:42 Yeah, give me a two. Top two. Probably Art Graders number one. Okay. Wow. We played it jumping into that environment. I was like, this team did a great job making this feel like a place that's scary and some place that I want to explore. Like you were talking about.
Starting point is 01:01:57 I would jump in on my own. Just jump in there. See what's got. This was seven months ago and it felt super polished and close to being done that we thought it was going to be a shadow drop. That's how like good it felt. It felt good. And they've had even more time to optimize. This is, I'm excited for that.
Starting point is 01:02:12 I saw a tweet this morning that was like, share this to scare the games industry. And it was the video that Barrett was just playing a little early. where it's DLSS is off and you are getting 4K 118 frames per second. It's like they have used. That's wild. They have done so much work into making sure that the game runs and looks great. The game, I mean, I think environmentally this game just interests me the most because of 428 frames.
Starting point is 01:02:38 That's with all the frame generation and stuff. But like the audio in this game fucking phenomenal. I mean, it's perfect. And all of that, you know, it might sound trivial. It might sound tripe, but all of that goes into building an environment that. you go, I want to go back into it. I want to exist in this. So I'm all in on Arc Raiders.
Starting point is 01:02:54 I would like to get in tonight as soon as possible. And of course, Call of Duty is always there. It's going to be fun. Call it duty, I am experienced enough with it to be able to jump in and just have a fun time, even if I'm not great,
Starting point is 01:03:03 even if I'm going to destroyed. But if you guys are with me, if we have a fun squad and we're all joking around, that to me is the experience that I want whenever I sit down on my PC. So those two games, I'm very excited about.
Starting point is 01:03:14 Battlefield can come and go as it pleases. I will play with you guys. I will have fun. That's where I'm at. But I have a feeling that it's just, I just don't think we're ever going to be a battlefield household. I think we're a Cod. I think we're a war zone household through and through. We are.
Starting point is 01:03:26 And the big question with Arc, we, you know, we've played, we've had fun with extraction shooters before. But they don't, they never stick. But we got really lost in Tarkoff and we missed, we missed, we missed our 13th. If Andy had been in Tarkoff with us, if Andy was here with Tarkoff. Tarkoff is too punishing, though. It's punishing. But we've got, we've gone down the road. We've played every extraction shooter that's been out in the last five years.
Starting point is 01:03:47 We did. We did. And we have a blast. And then we just forget. about him. So the question is, how do we, is this going to stick with us? Are we going to play this for longer than a couple days? Andy, what are your top two?
Starting point is 01:03:57 Our graders, probably number one, and then call it duty. Black Ops or Battlefield 6 will be, just like what Nick mentioned. I'll play whenever you guys want to play, whenever we put it on the stream. I'm more than happy to go in and click heads. Like, this is not a game that I super look forward to,
Starting point is 01:04:13 but it's definitely not a game that I'm like, oh, I don't want to play Battlefield 6. Like, I'm, it looks great. feels great to play and I can definitely have fun with that. One thing I want to just throw out before we end the podcast is something I've been mulling on for quite some time and I feel like we could turn this into content in a big way. Okay. As you all know, every Thursday, I play with Team Valfrog and our Valerant squad. So cool.
Starting point is 01:04:44 Yeah, I watch patiently at the window, just hoping to be invited one day. what I really, really, really want to do because team Valprog so far gone, we've invited some other homies who are way higher ranked and they put our team in a higher rank. That's terrible. And we got fucking rinse by it.
Starting point is 01:05:00 That sounds horrible. We get rinsed by everybody. Yeah, I don't like that. And I'm getting my ass whipped and I'm like, eh, I'm peak silver too. And I look at everybody else's ranks and the lowest they have is gold
Starting point is 01:05:11 and the highest they have, people were peeking at platinum. You don't want to see a diamond. You never want to see a platinum. No. You don't want to see those. never what I really really really want is I want to create another Valoran account to so I could still be on team Val-Frog but I want to make a Valerant team with us
Starting point is 01:05:30 I would love that I would like I would go hard do we need to make new accounts me I will train no no no we got hours I'm yeah but like but my character is already on Val-Frog so I want to make a new account to so we could get on a team and play every whatever it's required of us. Like every Sunday or whatever and we all stream it. We're making an event and it's like, all right. I would love it. Team Gibroni is going at it, you know,
Starting point is 01:05:57 and it's whoever we want to invite on the squad. Like I want to really make it a serious thing that we broadcast and make a big deal out of it because it is a very cool feeling. Whenever your team's doing decently and three weeks into the season, you're like, well, we're in the playoff running. We've got to win the next four games.
Starting point is 01:06:15 I'll make it serious. And we're in the playoff run. You know, like, I think we could have a lot of, a lot of fun with it. Somebody says Smurf. Yeah, but like Smurf would make sense if I was a rich, if I was already a platinum player. Yeah, he's got to, he's got to play with five others that aren't that good. I'm a, I'm a silver player. Or at least two.
Starting point is 01:06:32 Like, Mike and I'm garbage about it, but I love it. Mike and Nick were bronze, like easy. Yeah. Not even trying. And also, yeah, our team right now is like, they put us up in a much higher rank. And it's not fun. It feels like a waste. we are. We're not trying to be like AAA.
Starting point is 01:06:49 Yeah. So here's the deal then. We want to do this, me and Nick. We're in. We're already ready. I think Mike 8th Ballarat, but I'm not sure. Well, no, I really want to do. We'll double check his account. What do you need to do to make sure your account is ready? Or Nick's account is ready. I know on my account is ready. You have to be level 50 like in Rainbow Six Seeds or anything crazy?
Starting point is 01:07:08 Oh, you mean to play rank? Yeah. Oh, that's a good question. How do we get there? We'll have to go. I'll have to double check, but you do have to like, we've played enough hours. I think you do have to, to assign it to a phone number or something. So that they know that you're like... I'll give him a canvas number. That would be funny. I'm kidding. I'm kidding.
Starting point is 01:07:27 You get so bad about that. And that is the end of the games, guys, everybody. Appreciate you all watching. If you have any questions, let us know in the comments down below. Thank you, Mike, for joining us and talking about your experience of the Battlefield 6 campaign. Nick was here. I mean, we had great discussions about shooter games.
Starting point is 01:07:46 I'm very excited. I'm fired up. We have a great fall together. And that's what we needed. We needed to bring this group together again. See you next fall. I have a nice fall. Hell yeah.
Starting point is 01:07:54 We'll see you next time, gamers. Stay cool. Goodbye. Stay frosty.
