Yo, what's up? Welcome to another episode of Gamescast Play. This is a solo one. I'm your host, Blessing, Adioia Jr. I'm here with Xenoblade Chronicles, the Nintendo Switch 2 edition. Of course, this came out a few weeks ago alongside the Nintendo Direct back in June.

And y'all, I've been super into this. I've been super into this. I called an audible, a late game audible today. to switch over to Xenobled Chronicles, because I've not really had an outlet to just talk about Xenoblade and share it with the KF channel. I've been streaming it a lot just on my personal channel, but, like, I really want to talk about this game,

and I wanted to share it with y'all because, let me tell you, y'all might not know about this game called Xenoblade Chronicles. Let me tell you. Let me tell you. But, chat, how's it going to hire you guys feeling? I am 30 hours into this game, right? If we're not familiar with Xenoblade Chronicles, of course, it's a JRP from Monolith Soft, published under Nintendo,

originally came out on the Nintendo Wii, and the remaster, as you can see, looks phenomenal. Looks phenomenal. But yeah, I've been super into it, you know? Like, if you know where I'm at in the game, of course, I'm just entering this area, I just got done with like a big story moment. And to reel it back a little bit, right?

Zeno Blade is a game that takes place on the surface of a Titan called Bionis. You play as Shulk and a crew that comes together to get revenge for an attack that their community experienced from a bunch of what they call mechanists, which are like these mech-like creatures. after being attacked and after the seemingly the murder of Fiora who was a girl that Shok was friends with Shokka and his crew decided they wanted to get revenge and go after the McHanis

on the way we've experienced detours we met with the high endia but now we're back we're back on the path to revenge how's going to J. Pickle? though. The X-Hole does go deep. Yeah, main event wrestling, I blame blessed for my addiction to this game.

Watched a couple of odds went and bought the game. I love it. I can't recommend Zeno Blake Chronicles enough. It's a game I've always wanted to get back to, so I'm glad they re-release it on Switch, too. A few things about it, right? I kind of gave you the overall story description there. I really like the story. I really like the environment design.

Like, look at this shit. I think one of the reasons why I really mess with this game, but I really like it, is because it reminds me of Dark Souls in terms of some of the environments and levels. Like, this reminds me so much of Crystal Cove, I think it's called Crystal Caves from Dark Souls. Really, really impressive environment design. Honestly, it's very enlightening playing through this

in seeing why Nintendo has Monolith involved with games like Zelda. And then another thing I like is the combat system. combat system is very MMO-like in nature. It's a lot of passives. It's a lot of cool-down abilities. It's a lot of like positioning so I can get like a backstab or a side stab. And then using some of my other abilities

to inflict status effects. Here we go. We're fully locked in. We're fully locked in chat. There we go. Shaka rocking chat says he did Prison Island. Oh no. Here's the thing, right?

I recorded myself doing Prison Island. Island. And so that footage is not lost. I do. Now, if I knew I was going to stream this today, I wish I saved Prison Island for the stream, because Prison Island, Prison Island is lit. Prison Island is sick as hell. But yeah, I do have that recorded. I'll have it, I'll upload it at some point. Somebody says, like, Final Fantasy 12. The thing, though, is that Cognitole Cronicles very much is not an MMO. The combat system just has like some MMO elements to it. But I like it.

Like, you go, it's auto attack. And so, like, you know, once I go up to an opponent or to an enemy, my character starts auto attacking. But then I have abilities that I can use in real time that are good for certain moments. I'm also playing as my boy Ricky. Yeah, it's chrism says Zeno Bay Chronicles 2 is one of my all-time favorite games. Hell yeah. And then Zeno in chat says, L.O.L. Bless found a way to get paid to play at this respect.

Listen. If there's anything I'm going to do, right now it's gonna be a defined time playing to play Zilloway Chronicles but then also that's the ethos of this company the ethos of this company is to find time to play shit that we love

or I guess technically in June, but having July be more of a free month, it's kind of given me the time and space I've needed to just be in the X-hole. That's what we're calling it, by the way. We're calling it the X-hole. But yeah, once we get to, toward the end of July. That's when war games start coming out.

Hold on. We got a quest enemy behind me somewhere. Where is he? That is that exclamation point in the map points to like an enemy that's a quest. Oh, it's that guy up there. Oh, he looks dangerous. We're going to fight him. Shit, I missed. He might be too far for me to get. Yeah, he's too far. Can I lure? Do I have the lure? No. He's too far. But yeah, you guys know it is. Once we get to the end of the month, which Xenoblate 2, I believe, comes out. End of this month, early next month.

It's like sometime in the next 30 days, I'm pretty sure. I'm not going to have time because, yeah, it'll be, it'll be Halo, Campaign Evault, it'll be Avatar, it'll be Marvel Tollcon, and I really want to get into those games. And I also don't want to burn myself out on, oh, shit. Oh, this is the first time I've seen a slide in this game. yeah Marvel all the all this stuff and then it just doesn't stop for the fall and so I want to make sure I pace myself out now somebody says Michael in chat says bless was playing conifes 10 and seemingly dropped it for this I wonder why it's because I enjoy this more that's simply the reason I was enjoying

final fantasy 10 but again it comes back to the time thing it's hard to make time for a longer game but then also I started playing this and just I was way more into it it. Portugal is about to be eliminated. Who's Portugal up against? Final Fantasy 12 is kind of like this. Interesting. Oh, snap. Yeah, one thing about this game is I just think it's an overall really well-made

RPG. Really well-made JRP. You know what's funny? I'm not heard many people talk about Final Fantasy 12 like that. I've heard a lot about 13. I heard a lot about 10. I've heard a lot about 7, of course. Eight as well. I don't hear that many people

talk about 10. Did I get to play the Avatar beta last week? No. I didn't play the Avatar beta last weekend. I was play... What was I doing? Was it this last weekend? This last weekend was my birthday. So I was doing a birthday party.

And then I was playing this. Another thing I had to shout out with this game is the soundtrack. Spain just beat Portugal. Okay, well, that's not... That's not as much of a surprise. I didn't know who Portugal was playing. But, like, I feel like that's not crazy. Spain being beating Portugal.

Who's playing for Spain nowadays, though? Because yeah, Portugal, I know they got... Oh, my Jesus Christ. What the fuck? Spain, I know has Christiana Ronaldo, but I feel like Renato hasn't been killing it. This World Cup. You know what I mean?

Like, if you want my prediction right now, chat? You want my prediction right now? I think Norway is taking it all. I think, I mean, I think it's going to be between Norway and France. Where are they in the standings, actually? I don't know. I don't have the bracket off the top of my head. Oh, yeah, Jamal Lemine.

I feel like he's a star. Depending on where they're at in the bracket, I don't know how this pans out. But I would say if I had to pick two teams to be in the finals, it'd be France and Norway. I want whatever that is. Yeah, what the fuck was Mexico doing in the last 20 minutes? Here's the thing. I would be more heartbroken over the Mexico loss if I felt like Mexico truly deserved the win. But I feel like Mexico was given like good opportunities on a silver platter

that they just did not take advantage of. You were a man up. Oh, hell yeah. I love when side quests in this game actually offer XP A lot of the side questions in this game don't

And I get it Like I think I think they're disheveled After that first goal And just let their defenses down But that was the difference maker They lost by one

You know They didn't concede two goals back to back. They probably would have pulled it. But then they had a player from England out for a good portion of the game. Had 11 minutes for regulation

time toward the end. They had good chances too. But Mexico, they just didn't do it. They just didn't do it. I assume this is Renato's last World Cup, right? I don't know what I did with that move. I already messed up the chain.

I messed up the chain. It's okay. Renato's 41. Yeah, are we going to see him at the World Cup at 45? I wouldn't think so. Would that be crazy? How old is Messi? Oh shit. He said it's his last one.

Yeah, I wasn't really expecting that much from this Portugal team, if I'm being real. Because I don't think Renato had it like that to carry it. Oh! Okay, I see what I got to do. Actually, hold on. Let's get out of this geyser. How old is Nick? Who's to say? Oh yeah, the Cabo Verde versus Argentina game was incredible. Chat, you want to hear something heartbreaking about that? I was watching that game, right? I was watching Cabo Verde versus Argentina, and I was rooting for Cabo Verde. Not because I dislike Argentina or anything, because I love Messi, but because I like an underdog story and I like I love Cabo Gerdes story.

Such a beautiful story of a very, very small country. I'm always ruined for the African countries in the World Cup. Oh no, we got a cutscene. Let's lock in. Ruin. This the place you meant? It appears to have frozen over while I have been away. Been away. Pay me no mind.

We will need to do something about the ice before we can enter. Nice one, genius. precisely. There should be a geyser nearby. Geiza. In the cave next to it, we will find a stone called magma rock. And we can use this rock to melt the ice. I believe so.

So shall we head to the cave? Sounds good. Start looking for a geyser, everyone. So I was watching the Cabo Verde game. And for a lot of it, it was one one. And I was like, damn, they might actually pull it. And then went to extra time. And then early on in extra time,

Argentina scored. And around that time, I was like, I got to go to my birthday venue to set up. And I was about to like, I was going to watch the rest of extra time when they were tied because I really wanted to see Cabo Verde pull the win. But as soon as Argentina scored, I was like,

ah, it's over. It's done. There's no way. There's no way. So then I turned off the game and drove to my birthday event. venue. And then by the time I got there, the game was done, I looked at my phone, saw that two more goals had been scored. Like, Camo Verde must have scored minutes after I cut off the game. And it was an incredible goal. Maybe the best goal of the World Cup so far. And then, of course, Argentina scored and then won anyway. But like, if I had solved that goal in real time, I couldn't explain to you the feelings I would have felt.

Just see that happen. I don't know what to smoke. Monmo says, is Zeno Blay the secret Breath of the Wild prequel I've been overlooking? Never watched extended gameplay of Zeno Bladed before now. I wouldn't go that far as far as the reasons why you probably love Breath of the Wild. Right? Because I imagine a lot of that is the open world

and the systems and the physics and all that stuff, like the puzzle solving, stuff that I love Breath of the Wild for. That said, I do think it's worth checking out because I do think one of the things that does impress me similar to something like Breath of the Wild, but I've been comparing it more to Eldon Ring is the world, the environment design.

It's very beautiful and very well rendered, and I think the setting is really interesting. Both the way they've laid out the setting and then also the story behind the setting, the game's narrative itself takes its own setting so, like as like a very big factor. into the story that they're telling. And I find it fascinating. I find it really interesting. Because if you missed it at the beginning of this, right? Like the game takes place on the surface of a titan.

Of like a dead titan. That's like, and that was in battle with another titan. And they go all the way with that concept. In ways that I didn't realize, having not played through it before. You know, I always assumed like, oh, cool, okay, the game takes place on a titan. But now that I'm this far in the game, I'm like, yo, there is really interesting conceptual stuff that they're doing with that idea as far as like, actually I don't want to spoil anything. I don't want to spoil anything. One thing that's not a spoiler, that's more of a, I guess, me reading into like the concept and so far stuff that they're, stuff that's happened.

I don't think the game gets into this is what I'll say I think there's something really fascinating about warring nations when your nation literally is warring the nation you know what I mean? Like like when you are when you have enemies that are coming from the mechonis

which is the other Titan that the Bionis is fighting and it's like we're fighting the McConnis and it's like why are we fighting? It's like, well, our, literally our places that we live, our nations that we live on, are interlocked in battle. I don't know. I think there's something really cool symbolically about that. Now, I don't know how far they're going to take that concept, but already, like, they've done things just with the Bionis versus the Meconis that I find really cool. Is USA versus Belgium tonight?

I didn't realize that was tonight. Oh, hold on. We got... Not you. One of y'all have a quest tied to you guys? I'm not gonna do with that. We're just gonna dip. I think he has a quote.

But yeah, I'm looking forward to this Belgium, USA game. I think part of why... Part of why I want USA to win the World Cup is because I think it would make us care about soccer more. I know that's like a dream. I know that's probably a bit naive. But like I think it would at least help kickstart it a little bit of like Americans caring about soccer somewhat. I think I think Americans are prideful in a way where it's like if we realize we're good at something, then we'll actually start taking it seriously. And this is what I'll say for you international folks

Because, you know, I'm halfway through Xenoblake Chronicles. here talk about it and then also we just talked the entire time about the world cup but i feel like that's what kind of funny is so chat thank you guys so much for hanging out with me sean says as a diehard xenoblade fan i'm so happy you're still loving this game zanoblacronicles three will probably be your favorite in my opinion i my roommate michael is very into xenoblin chronicles as well

and he was telling me like yo yeah one's awesome but once he gets to three he was like i think he was saying once you get to two and three but he was like especially three that's where it's at which has me excited to get to it eventually, but also has me like, do I still got to play two? Because y'all making two sound like, y'all making it sound like it ain't three. You know what I mean? Y'all make me want to get to three.

But then also I'm like, well, I want to play Genesis really is what it is. Because I think that'll be my next one after this. I think that'll be my next one after this. We'll see. We'll see, because it's going to be a busy fall. Barrett says one more time. We'll do one more.

Like never say never for Final Fantasy 10 by the way like I think it'd be nice to go back to it at some point. I just don't have the passion for it right now. I don't want to fight you.
