Starting point is 00:00:07 What a thumbnail. What's it implying? Are they cheaters? Are they implying you cheated? What's happening? We're going to get to the bottom of it. Everybody, of course. I am Tim Getty's. Welcome to the Kind of Funny Gamescast for Wednesday, August 6th, 2025. I'm joined by Roger McCle. I'm so excited to finally get all this off my chest because I've been repressed in the last few days. You know what I mean? Like people haven't let me on content to talk about this specific issue. I'm looking at somebody specifically.
Starting point is 00:00:33 Okay, first of all, you actually got to control the content. I mean, Greg's not here. Who's in charge of the thing? I don't have access to the spreadsheet. I'm pretty sure I came up with this idea of a games cast. No, you did. No, you didn't. To have Roger speak his mind.
Starting point is 00:00:44 I don't know if we, we don't have any proof of that at all. It's on the spreadsheet. Rounding out the group as well today. We have blessing Adioia Jr. Hello, it's me. Are you ready, bless? Are you prepared to face your same? I'm demons.
Starting point is 00:00:58 I mean, I'm fascinated. I just have the, I have the kind of funny gamescast, fantasy critic page opened up. I have the history page opened up. I'm ready to talk about some things that happened on August. Yeah, you just scroll all the way to the beginning, too. We'll talk about that as well.
Starting point is 00:01:09 Noticeably, we are missing one of the people in the thumbnail at this table. Yeah. What's happening there? Well, of course, you know, Michael. He parties hard and he plays hard. And he went down to Battlefield. He played his little hard out. He played that game.
Starting point is 00:01:24 He had a good time. And then, of course, comes back. And he's trying to fight through the sickness. You know, Monday comes around 9.09 a.m. I get a message. You work. That's all it said. You work.
Starting point is 00:01:35 And I was like, what does that mean? and then he pulls into the parking lot right next to me as I'm recording a Greg way and he just looks at me and says hey slap you got to do games daily I'm like why are you here like why don't you communicate any of this and like why didn't you tell me in it but no of course he comes in does like two days of shows and then he does he does he does two shows yeah and then eventually it's like I don't know if you should still know around immediately all of us like yeah and I saw something we'll figure out the stream I saw something incredible where it was yesterday and he still came back and he still came back and I'm not going to we'll figure out the stream I saw something incredible where it was yesterday and he still came back yesterday. Yeah, he came back yesterday. I don't know if he did a show yesterday or whatever, but like, whatever it was, I think it was after KFGD or after Gamescast.
Starting point is 00:02:13 You guys come out, it was you and Andy, and you come out into the main area. And then you look around, Andy is first and he says, is Mike here? And he says, no, we say, no, he left.
Starting point is 00:02:23 And Andy says, good. And then you come in right behind him and you say, is Mike here? No, good. Like, you all have the same feeling. Like, good. Go home, go rest. Have a good time, Mike.
Starting point is 00:02:32 So he's not here. Or maybe he's ducking this podcast. Maybe he has a lot to figure out. He does have things to a tone to. But I obviously love Snowbike, Mike. Mike, if you're listening to this, you know I love you. We love you. You know how much I love you.
Starting point is 00:02:43 I have questions, though. I have a lot of questions. About the sickness or like? About the sickness. Oh, okay. Interesting. Because first off, if you're sick, stay home, Mike. Just slack me and just be like, because there's what happens.
Starting point is 00:02:56 It all ends up happening anyways. Eventually, Roger comes up to me and goes, Tim, Roger shouldn't be here. Or sorry, Mike shouldn't be here. And I'm just like, ah, then I have to slack Mike. Hey dude, don't come in. And he goes, okay, Slappy, loud and clear. Got it, I'm going to rest up and I'm going to be good. And then I get all the updates and they're always great.
Starting point is 00:03:14 Hey, man, I'm resting. It's good. I'll be there like tomorrow or the next day or whatever. He's so responsible when it comes down to it. But why does it take so many steps and so many people getting involved to get to that point? It's always the same people. It's always the same thing. It's always Nick coming up to him and trying to be like the cool dad of like,
Starting point is 00:03:29 hey buddy, like you clearly not feeling good. He's sound like you're on death story. He's like, ah, Slabby, don't worry about it. And then it has to come down to it. I think it's coming to you. I think it's always because the first step is usually me, because it's always me and Bless who are usually the first ones here. Blessing is prepping games daily.
Starting point is 00:03:44 I'm usually setting up the studio. And because Bless is like kind of focused on shit and I'm walking around. I'm usually the first one to clock of like, oh, this motherfucker shit sick. And my initial reaction is to be kind of mean to him about it. I'm like, why the fuck are you here go home? And I think that gets him to be like, no, I'm going to defy that because you're being mean about it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:05 And I know the relationship with Mike and I, right? So I have to play like, oh, you're not feeling good. Oh, like, what do you do? Like, I like, I like, yeah, like, oh, man, oh, you're just kind of resting up a little bit. You're drinking some tea. Okay, yeah, that's nice. And then just slowly but surely kind of like, hey, why don't you go home a little bit? Like, why don't you want you?
Starting point is 00:04:19 Just like, the stream, like, there's like two other people on the stream. Like, they can do that. I never met somebody who just wants to come into work so badly. He loves us. And is it that, is he that he wants to be here or does he not want to be at home alone with his thoughts? Damn. I mean, I think, I think, you know, I'm not going to come on that. That's a different conversation.
Starting point is 00:04:36 So here's the thing. And again, Mike, if you're listening to this, it's nothing but love. And I want it very clear, like, because I know Mike sometimes could be, like, concerned that, like, it's so funny. He talks to me as if I matter at all. And as if I have any fucking. You know what I mean? But it's like, I get it. I get it.
Starting point is 00:04:51 But he's a company man. Talking to him, he always is like, I want to do this opportunity. And I never want to get in the way of an opportunity. So I'm just letting you know. Anything I'm about to say is not going to stop you from being a part of anything. but can you go somewhere and not get sick? Oh, one,
Starting point is 00:05:06 because what are you looking? What are you looking? What are you doing? What are you doing? Because it comes out to sending it. We've all been conventions. The con crud, you know,
Starting point is 00:05:14 you get a little sick or whatever. Like we've done so. I don't know that I've ever actually gotten sick from a convention. And if I have, it'd be like, okay, cool, I'm going to stay home and get better. And then there's a plan that we all know and can understand.
Starting point is 00:05:27 And everyone's like, all. Tim's sick. We're going to figure out the shows. And then it's all figuring. The Leo cat in the chat. He was dapping up KCP, bro. Don't put that on KCP.
Starting point is 00:05:37 KCP was not sick, okay? Well, now I'm concerned he got KCP. Mike's going to, like, can't even think about it. Casey is homes sick right now. He's watching this is so bad. We send Mike to an event and like, let's just say, like, we know what these events are. It's usually half a day of like actual work and then like three days of just dumb shit we get to do. And that's the perk.
Starting point is 00:06:00 That's the point. It's so much fun. Come back with the stories. It's awesome, right? So cool, we're already making the decision for half a day of work to really just give Mike, not three days off, but we have to deal with three days of Mike being gone, right? Pick it up the slack and figuring all that stuff. But then if he gets sick and it's another fucking six days of being sick.
Starting point is 00:06:21 I think we need to, maybe we need a company checklist of this is how you don't get sick. You bring emergency. You bring emergency. Yeah. Hand sanitizer. Don't shake people's hands. hands and touch your face, right? Like, there's a certain amount of things that you can do to mitigate.
Starting point is 00:06:36 At the end of the day, if he had sick, he had sick. Here's the issue. Here's the issue with Mike is that it's kind of weird because he is a germaphobe. Like, he is very, very, like, anal retentive when it comes to cleaning his desk, cleaning his area, making sure he's washing his hands. He's a very clean person. And, like, I know that about him specifically. So something's going on.
Starting point is 00:06:52 There is something that is falling through the cracks. We're also, we're forgetting about the non-travel sickness that he is guaranteed to get once every year. And he talks about that. where he just randomly gets really sick for like two weeks. Deadly safe. And this is the thing is this man needs to have a diet that actually builds up his immune system. Or that is the.
Starting point is 00:07:13 No, no, no. Dylan in the chat says, or, to clean maybe. Great call. You need to be a little dirty.
Starting point is 00:07:20 So then you're kind of. Maybe that's the problem. Maybe he's got to stop cleaning himself. Now here's something I will say to snow bike bikes credit. And I feel like somebody might try to come at me, be like, no, no, no. And to that I'll say,
Starting point is 00:07:31 I don't remember that, so I'm going to not listen to it. He's never gotten anyone else sick. That's also true. Isn't that kind of crazy? That's, I'm trying to think about it as well. He's right. He's right. He's right.
Starting point is 00:07:44 Because we're in a small office. This has been going on for years now. No, but like, I feel like there was like a year and a half ago, two years ago where like a bunch of us got sick. Yeah, but I think that was like, that was not because of me. I don't know. That was just all of us were getting sick because we're going to different things and doing different stuff.
Starting point is 00:07:59 And nitrogen also brings a good point. because we have to send him home. He's here for like half a day and then we're like, get the fuck out. But no, he's here for like two days. That's the thing is like he comes back. He came back yesterday, which was fucking insane. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:12 The fact that I, yeah, the fact that I haven't gotten sick off of coasting KHD with him on Monday. Yeah. But he did do the responsible thing of like he didn't dab me up at the beginning of the episode. Oh, he didn't. No, he didn't give me a fist bump at the end because we had to make some kind of contact.
Starting point is 00:08:25 It's part of the show. It's part of KFCD. It's in the blunt contract of KHD. You got to touch each other. KH. But like, yeah, you're right. Yeah, so good on him. Good on him.
Starting point is 00:08:36 Well, here we are. Nine minutes into this episode. And Mike, I hope that you take the right messages from this. And we love you. We love you. We love you. But he did the message to me today. I was like, hey, you doing big dog.
Starting point is 00:08:47 He's like, sloppy. I'm feeling great. I'm going to rest up. And tomorrow I'll be 100%. So I'm hearing. That means tomorrow, 85%. Yeah. All we need is 85.

Thank you to our Patreon producers, Carl Jacobs, Omega Buster, and Delaney, the psalm, twining. Today we're brought to you by Kind of Funny in review, but we'll tell you. tell you all about that later. For now, I'll start with the topic of the show. Tots, dots, dots, dots, dots, dots. Did Mike and Roger cheat and fantasy critic?
Starting point is 00:10:12 Roger himself has compiled a timeline. I didn't compile this. Oh, you compiled this. Okay. Yeah, this is all you. Well, a doc is in front of me that I'm going to re-verbatham, and I don't think it's going to be possible to question the validity of the statements made here. Monday, July 28th.
Starting point is 00:10:29 Well, timeline here. Roger and Mike, two, consider. consenting adults attempted to complete a fair trade. Do you want to talk about that already? You saying we're not consenting? Well, no. Here's the thing. If me and you consent right now to commit murder, it's still illegal.
Starting point is 00:10:44 Okay, we'll talk about. Okay, wow. But you can continue. Oh, wow. He doesn't believe in two consent to rob a bank. It's against the rules. Equating this to murder. I don't know who side I'm on at this point, but like at one point, consent to breaking
Starting point is 00:10:59 and entering. We can't do that. gay marriage was illegal, so blessing, like, I don't know, like, that's a crazy argument. Are you comparing gay marriage to murder Barrett? Whoa, shit, no. Well, I am comparing what Mike and I are doing to gay marriage.
Starting point is 00:11:12 That's what I'm comparing it to. I don't want to, whatever side you want to be on, I'm just like to know that this is gay marriage. Two banger jokes made today, by the way. First, Tim, with the whole Scarlett Joanne's and thing. Hey, what are the fuck you just said?
Starting point is 00:11:28 Man, we're all fired. We're having a great one. You're next. Is that a threat? Oh, man. That sounded. I like this vibe. Threatening.
Starting point is 00:11:39 Okay. Roger and Mike, two consenting adults attempted to complete a fair trade in the fantasy critic on Monday, July 28th. On Games Daily, blessing, our commissioner initially agreed to the trade and saw no foul play.
Starting point is 00:11:50 He agreed. He agreed. Let's just put that out there. He said, yes, make it happen. Do you want the context around the agreements? Let's continue. But the smoke machines went off.
Starting point is 00:11:58 And I feel like that that is a, that is a signature right there. Fair enough. Let's continue. On Gamescast, Blessing now informs the world that trades are not turned on. Interesting.
Starting point is 00:12:08 Why didn't he inform us about that during Games Daily? Very suspicious. Because I didn't remember. But mainly because you two came out so confident of, oh, we want to do this thing, we're going to trade. And so I assume, oh, maybe you read the rules.
Starting point is 00:12:24 Maybe you went in and read the settings. So I'm down with that. What if I'm, what if I'm, I think I'm getting here is that the commission. of this league doesn't understand or know the rules of the league. Interesting. I do find that kind of interesting. Can we bring up this blue sky post from Raj former?
Starting point is 00:12:43 Yeah. Yeah. I mean, this is something that Lanky Dragoon made, which I think is great. The myth of consensual trades. I consent. My consent.
Starting point is 00:12:51 Blessing does not. Well, here's the thing. This was made after on games cast. I guess you have this part as the next bullet point convenient enough. This bullet point should probably go before the link. Because the next bullet point here says that I said that Mike and Roger
Starting point is 00:13:03 need to get every single person in the league to say yes to their very legal and fair trade agreement, even though it wasn't legal and fair because the rules of the league say that you can't trade. But here's the thing, right? Tell me the thing.
Starting point is 00:13:17 It's not me that doesn't consent. It's Barrett. Okay, well, we'll get to Barrett in a second. We'll get to Barrett in a second. Because for me, in order to make it to change a core rule of the league, if I do that with my commissioner privileges and something going,
Starting point is 00:13:30 wrong, say two people have some shenanigans that they're up to, that gets put on me for changing the rules. However, if every single person in the league says yes to the rule change, guess what? Everybody, everybody's culpable? Everybody's involved. Yeah, interesting. It's everybody's fault if things go wrong. I'm just, I just think it's interesting that if you go back to the original episode, the episode at the beginning of this year, where we went over the rules of fantasy critic and you had painstankingly went through every single rule. You did not go over the rule of turning off trades
Starting point is 00:14:02 that by the way you did let's go back to the inception of fantasy critic because what? Trades have never been a core aspect of how we've done our thing until until shenanigans took place. You're losing Tim. Until shenanigans took place because Greg fucked us all.
Starting point is 00:14:21 Well then here's the issue is that he fucked us in 2023 I believe. Yes. 2024 didn't turn off trades didn't do anything with trades. Trades were on in 2024. 2024. 25, you turned off trades. Didn't tell anybody. There was no conversation to the point where you didn't even know that you turned them off.
Starting point is 00:14:36 And I do, okay, what I think happened. And I'm gonna, I'm gonna shoot you some bail here. Shoot me some bail. I think that you just assumed that they were off because of Greg's madness last year. And then you just turned them off and then just thought that that was something that we just weren't going to do. And then you didn't mean to actually, you know, hide this up. At the beginning of this year? No, we did not. I'm telling you
Starting point is 00:14:54 we did. It wasn't. It wasn't in the opening episode. It was in the episode where we were going over the last year's results. I'm telling you what happened. No one has listened to it to verify that. If somebody can find me the clip, I'll let you trade. If I said that at some point about this. I mean, we're already fucked it. Also, by the way, last year there was a trade allowed. So, well, this was a trade request. But yeah, but it was denied. But then, so then trades were open last year. Okay, that's fair. So I'm sorry. The league members can now vote on this trade and the league manager can execute or rejected. But that wasn't even allowed
Starting point is 00:15:26 this year, which is just kind of bizarre. Well, we'll think about it this way. We took it through the same process. Yeah. But no, it wasn't physical person, not on the website. But it was votes. It wasn't like the entire entirety. Exactly. Okay. Let's get into some more of the details here. Because he said, he says that Mike and Roger
Starting point is 00:15:43 need to get every single person. Every single person, aka unanimous. Unanimous. In the league to say yes to their very legal and fair trade agreement. Myself, Tim Getty's. Greg, Paris. Andy all say yes. Barrett Courtney says no.
Starting point is 00:15:59 Don't read the cross-off. After the worst pitch of all time from Roger. No, Snowback Mike. Roger. Barrett changes that. Barrett does not have, should not have access to this.
Starting point is 00:16:09 Gotcha. This is a holy document that Tim has made himself. Tim definitely made himself. The only document I made myself that very clearly says no after the worst pitch of all time from Snowbike Mike crossed out, Roger. And Roger says, Tim, don't read the crossout, which to me implies just read the Roger. but I just don't know what a cross like it's a double negative thing. It helps to like two, it crossed out.
Starting point is 00:16:29 Because seriously, from my perspective, I'm having a lovely vacation with, you know, my family. And all the dead turtles. Yeah, all the dead turtles. That's the different side of the family. This is the respectable side of the family. Some of these people I haven't seen in 12 years since I was in high school, you know, just enjoying my time away, treasuring every second that I'm spending with my family. I get a phone call from Snowbike Mike.
Starting point is 00:16:54 And of course, in my brain, I'm like, oh, this is an emergency. Kevin died. And Mike needs to figure something out. Mike is the person that needs to figure this out. Not Tim, not me. So Mike calls me and I pick up. And I'm like, hello. And immediately he goes into the host voice.
Starting point is 00:17:12 I'm like, God damn. And I'm on a show. Yeah, but you seemed enthusiastic about it, though. Yeah. And he was buttering me up. And it was nice to hear his voice because I hadn't seen him in a little bit. and then he starts going into this trade and telling me how it's, you know,
Starting point is 00:17:25 the rule is that there aren't allowed to be trades. And then I hear from kind of far away shouting in the background was Roger saying it was a very fair and legal trade. So that is, and that's where I can't call something fair and legal. First of all, you're, maybe you just. I've gone back to that games cast and I've watched that game's cast. It starts off with Mike saying, hey, slap you.
Starting point is 00:17:49 We got a great deal. Nothing's wrong. year like he starts going into the wrong way the pitch is bad from the start and i've cried to jump in and try to save it a little bit no we all we all you tank let's play the clip let's play the clip pick up the clip barrett we're gonna we're gonna we're gonna continue yeah you gotta pick up the clip apparently people don't know what he's talking about what ever we got it was this the corona one listen i think my my ultimatum of hey i want to you name his vote from everybody so that we can make this so fair and legal trade because for me one of the things that's not
Starting point is 00:18:18 mention here is that for me it was a yes I approved of it right Greg Paris Andy Tim and me are on the side of this trade I'm on your side here Roger Oh okay here's something I think we need to do 18 minutes into this amazing episode of kind of funny content here
Starting point is 00:18:34 We needed to find what this trade even is Because obviously a couple of things have been clarified They're consenting adults It's Mike it's Roger versus the world really Yeah but why what is the thing that they are looking for
Starting point is 00:18:48 And the thing that they were looking to do, Raj, in your own words, is... Yeah, it's very simple. I had the video game Ninja Guidant for. Mike had the video game Crimson Dawn. And I wanted to trade... That's not a real game. It's not a real video game. Crimson Desert.
Starting point is 00:19:01 Crimson Desert. Crimson Desert. Crimson Desert. Crimson Desert. I had Ninja Guidant for. We wanted to switch it. We wanted to trade it. That's it. Nothing wrong with that.
Starting point is 00:19:09 On the up and up to me. Two simple people. Two simple ideas. But again, the law states, no trade. Yeah. Right now... Let's pull on the club. Courtney, this is Mike.
Starting point is 00:19:18 Greg and Roger here on the kind of funny games cast. How are you on this lovely Monday? I am doing well, Snowbike. How are you doing? I'm so good, Bear. When I hear your voice, just want you to know that we're thinking about you. Hope you having a lovely day.
Starting point is 00:19:30 I don't want to take up much of your Monday because you know it's a special in my favorite day. But quick one for you, there's a trade that is trying to go down in our fantasy critic draft league that we would like all of the team members to support and give their approval. He's not even asking the right question.
Starting point is 00:19:46 Not even the right. Trades are off on the league. And then Blessing said that they were off on the league and he needs every single person to say yes in order to turn back on trades. We have a fair and legal claim. Are you yes on opening up trades? Well, what's the fair and legal trade?
Starting point is 00:20:03 I want Crimson Desert and he wants Ninja Guided. That's it. Boom. What's wrong with that? Boom. Bada boom. Bang. No, I don't approve.
Starting point is 00:20:09 Two 79s. Oh, what a deal. And so there you have it. I don't know why I'm getting all the smoke. Barrett Courtney is the one that said, And to be fair, you are the one that said fair and legal. And it was fair illegal. I'm also hearing consenting.
Starting point is 00:20:23 I'm also hearing adults. And I'm seeing Snowmike Mike there. And I'm not sure that we're factually correct calling that man an adult. You know what I mean? Yeah, right. The second you said fair and legal, I was like, I don't trust this. I fucked up that one. But here's the thing.
Starting point is 00:20:35 It was fair and legal in my heart. And I also didn't want Mike to have Ninja Guide in four because if you have Ninja Guyton for. Oh, okay. Oh, interesting. Yeah. Interesting. Oh, interesting. So he had some ulterior motive.
Starting point is 00:20:45 There wasn't just a, some gaming going on. some gaming on there going on. Is that not? What fantasy critic is all about? Oh, you're trying to fuck other people because you want Snowbike Mike to lose. Honestly, Barrett, this is getting a weird wrinkle. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:20:59 I don't know. The truth is revealed everybody. Well, I think this is the big moment here. This is the turning moment. Thursday. Thursday, the turning point, everybody. Mike and Roger release a threat to the commissioner to try and occur.
Starting point is 00:21:12 Hello, kind of funny best friends. This is Mike and Roger. And we got to get real about kind of funny. On Monday, July 28th, two consenting adults entered into a partnership. Snowbike Mike Howard and Roger Percorney were trying to trade video games on their fantasy critic league. And we were stopped by our crooked commissioner, blessing at a Yo-Yeo-June. This dirty commissioner tried to hold us back from what would be a totally fair and reasonable
Starting point is 00:21:39 trade. I, Roger Percorney, wanted to give Snowbike Mike Ninja Guidant 4 in return for his video game, Crimson Dawn. Crimson Desert, but that doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. This trade was deemed totally fair and legal by a majority of votes within the fantasy critic draft. You like this sounds like a fair trade.
Starting point is 00:21:58 Yes, I'm okay with that. Andy approved in the chat. Trades should be enabled. You should enable the trades and let them trade. Hey, Roj, it's me, Barrett. After much consideration and after a good night's rest, I've decided to vote yes on the fantasy critic trade. If our terms are not met by the end.
Starting point is 00:22:17 of the week, there will be hell to pay a kind of funny. Yes, that's right. Everything Blessing at the Oe, Jr. Loves and cherishes on his desk will be gone. That means no Dragon Ball Z figures. That means no shirtless Miles Morales toys. And that means no Sonic plushies. They're all going in the fucking trash.
Starting point is 00:22:37 Now, you may be saying to yourself, Mike and Roger, a clean desk is not really that awful of a situation to be in. No, it gets worse. Because if Blessing Adioia Jr. does not adhere, to our demands. I promise the God that we will... I really want to know what he said. Feel it in his throat.
Starting point is 00:22:57 Alexanarmon. Blessing Eddie O'Ye, Jr. You have until the end of this week to make this trade. This has been sponsored by the Snowbike Mike and Roger Percorney, Partnership 2025.
Starting point is 00:23:10 Now... That was beautiful. I like to be fair and I like to be just. I do have to call out Barrett for trying to game the system. I understand that he's trying to win the game, but when he's using his votes
Starting point is 00:23:20 in this very important league decision to influence his victory. I have some issues there. I also have some issues with a partnership, though. You know? People can't be friends. You watch a lot of reality. That sounds like there can't be alliances.
Starting point is 00:23:35 They're legal. They're legal. I don't know. I don't know. But they're legal. But they're not. They're not sports. You keep saying the words legal and fair.
Starting point is 00:23:43 By definition, they're not legal and fair. I'm sorry. People can't be friends. People can have alliances. I mean, okay, you can have an alliance. Yeah. But like, you can't trade on. the alliance. And Tim, here's the thing. I'm just trying to follow the rule of law here.
Starting point is 00:23:56 Does that benefit me? Yes, but it's the rule of law. Oh, okay. Now rule of law is all he cares about. Only when it matters to him. That's crazy. That's interesting. I mean, that's America. So then Friday, Barrac Courtney rescinds his very real voice message and denies their trade. And I do think it is something we have to talk about because there is someone I know I look to is being very, very fair and loyal and accurate to his word. So I don't understand why he's rescinding what he said on that phone call. And I heard the yawn. That was him.
Starting point is 00:24:28 That was definitively. Definitively. Bear Courtney. Bear duby on it. Yeah. And the doc here actually has very real crossed out and says doctored voice message. I'm confused about one of school three. Again, like, Roger, I don't want to bring lawyers into this, but I will have Kevin come back from his vacation to fucking sue your ass.
Starting point is 00:24:47 Oh, shit. It's me, very. After. much consideration. Because this sounds like, you know, a washed up voice actor who you hired to pretend to be me. I'm just confused because when you just played it,
Starting point is 00:24:58 I just heard you again. So, like, were you talking? Yeah, I'm on, I'm on Barrett's side with this. I don't hear Barrett in that voicemail. Wow. In the Barrett that I'm looking at that I'm hearing in my ears right now. Very different.
Starting point is 00:25:09 Very different for what I'm hearing that. It concerns me that you're the commissioner then because I feel like you should have a better understanding of how our team sounds. Well, then why would Barrett change his mind for a third time? You know what I mean? Yeah. Like, he said no at first.
Starting point is 00:25:20 You were also the person, yes, but now he's saying no again. You were also the person that didn't realize that Baird wore hats for many years. I'm a different man now. Okay. I'm a different person now. Yeah. All right. You still wear hats first?
Starting point is 00:25:34 On Saturday. This man is hat blood. Now, this is the big one. This is the big moment. This is the big update that I don't know that y'all have known about. Because everything we've talked about so far, kind of just recapping events to get to where we're at now. On Saturday, Roger puts in the pickup of a century.
Starting point is 00:25:50 Maybe the greatest pickup I've ever seen. Wow, it's really nice of you to say. Yeah. It's really nice to me to say. Like it is. He dropped Ninja Guide in 4 and picked up Final Fantasy Tactics. Yeah. We got to talk about this.
Starting point is 00:26:03 We got to talk about this. Roger, I don't know. Wow. That's exciting, everybody. That's an exciting one. For the entire league, there are seven partial slash regular remakes in total. Roger holds five of them. Five of them.
Starting point is 00:26:17 There are multiple things. Because, yeah, we definitely had to talk about Rogers' whole strategy with this league being to pick up remakes and remasters. And I put, I emphasize, I emphasize remaster. Oh, interesting. There's a game that's on your list that literally has remaster in the title. Okay, well, we'll talk about that. And another one that has definitive edition, but we'll talk about that in a second. I worry about, yeah, still like Mike's influence on you, because I feel like he might be a bad influence.
Starting point is 00:26:41 I feel like he might, because, like, you want to take, you want to get Crimson Dawn for Ninja Guide. Or sorry, fuck, Crimson Desert. for Ninja Guideon 4. That already strikes me as a oh man, somebody's playing you a little bit here. You then go on to drop Ninja Guideon 4 to pick up Final Fantasy Tactics, the Evil East Chronicles. A remake.
Starting point is 00:27:01 Remake. Sure. Partial remake. A partial remake. They did have to rebuild it from the ground up. We'll talk about that in a second. That doesn't look that impressive. At least in the eyes of the people on the panel here.
Starting point is 00:27:16 Are you somebody, who's excited for Final Fantasy tactics? I couldn't give less of a fuck about this game. I don't care about Crimson Desert. I don't care about Ninja Garden Four, really. I'm here to win this game and to play the game. And yeah, Final Fantasy Tactics, I had on my mind for a while now.
Starting point is 00:27:32 I wanted to pick this up as soon as it was announced. And I looked onto the website and it said, it said, remaster, Tim. So then I want to pull up this VGC article, which Barrett alluded to a little bit. I'm sure that this article is going to be full of factual information that's going to help your case. But I'm not ready to hear it quite yet, Roger.
Starting point is 00:27:50 I want to hear a word from our sponsors first. This episode's brought to you by our own show, kind of funny in review. It is our movie review show, and it is the best place to get all of our thoughts and all the latest in entertainment, Greg. And how has it been this year? It's been awesome because I came back.
Starting point is 00:28:09 Alien versus Predator in Review. Superman in Review. Fantastic 4. Currently happening in Review. It's been a great time, and I've been crazier than ever. You really have. It's been banger after banger after banger of episodes of InReview. Doesn't mean the movies necessarily work.
Starting point is 00:28:24 Sometimes we're talking about some all-time greats. Sometimes we're talking about some of the worst movies ever made. But no matter what, Greg is drinking his coax and having a good time and saying some of the craziest things you've said on Kind of Funny Content, ever. That's right. If you're unfamiliar, of course, the InReview is us picking a movie series, watching them all, been ranking and reviewing them all while meticulously recap
Starting point is 00:28:46 the plot and not screwing anything up. But here's the thing. I know a lot of you are watching live probably on Kind of Funny Games Daily or Kind of Funny Games cast. We cover video games, but we also cover movies and we have a great time doing it. Just best friends hanging out. So don't worry. We're getting back to Alien versus Predator, everybody, right after we get through some of the big summer movies, but fantastic for Superman, Alien versus Predator.
Starting point is 00:29:08 It's been a great time. The good times are just starting. That's right. So right now, like, subscribe, share on your favorite podcast feed or YouTube. dot com slash kind of funny games and we'll see you at the movies that was good thank you i mean we stole it it's you know i think syckel and eber's line so roj here's the part that nobody knows on july 23rd an article was posted to video games chronicle about final fantasy tactics you want to read it read the article or just read yeah just read a little bit of already on me to
Starting point is 00:29:38 read it you can do that okay the title is the final fantasy tactics remake remake that's interesting to say that is a full rebuild because the original code was overwritten. They go on to list from an interview with the director, Kazitoio Mahiro, who then says, this was simply the norm at the time, talking about how the game was overwritten. We didn't have the kind of effective resource management tools available today. And we developed games by essentially overriding the previous code
Starting point is 00:30:05 each time we fixed a bug or added a new language. Goes on to say, since the classic version was attended to recreate the original game, we did have the option to implement using an emulator. He continues, however, this method wouldn't have allowed us to make granular refinements even if the objective was to recreate the original game. After our analysis, we felt the best way to ensure the game met modern playability standards while staying true to the original was to rebuild it. Hold on.
Starting point is 00:30:35 Are you telling me that when they first announced this, you went to Fiancy Critic, like the website and it didn't have an under remake they had it under remaster? So that's what I want to get to everybody. Because when the game was first announced, it was listed as a remaster. I see this article. I look at Mike and I say, we got to change this. We got to be the change that we want to see in this world. So what, let me ask you this, because I am very, very interested.
Starting point is 00:31:00 Why did it have to be a we? Because two people are better than one, right? If you get one person yelling, they're not going to listen. But if you get two people yelling somewhere. One person's the mind, the other's the charisma. Exactly. If you get the charisma involved with the mind, then they're going to be,
Starting point is 00:31:15 then they're going to be listening. Power and numbers, okay. So I looked at Mike and I looked at him like a small child that didn't know how to use the internet. And I said, here's a link, click on this link, and go to Discord and go to the Fantasy Critic official Discord where they have individual game debates and there was already a raging debates
Starting point is 00:31:34 about Final Fantasy tactics, whatever the fuck. And everyone was like, oh my gosh, this is actually technically a remake. And then Barrett, if you want to show the images. The first one. If you click on that, that is, I believe, from the creator of Fantasy Critic. I'm getting a bunch of requests telling me to up this to a remake. I'm open to partial remake, at least.
Starting point is 00:31:53 Unfortunately, I don't know this game well. I put in the chat. I think partial remake makes sense. I hate you. Mike, that goes, my take is it should be a partial remake. That feels right. Snowbike fucking Mike says, quote, my take is it should be a partial remake.
Starting point is 00:32:12 that feels right about Final Fantasy Tactics. If we showed Mike 17 games, I don't know that he could pick which one was Final Fantasy Tactics. If we showed him three games, I'm not sure he could choose which one was Final Fantasy Tactics. Now the next one, as a few days later,
Starting point is 00:32:30 I was checking every day. Elite Fusion says, okay, it's too late in the bid cycle to change it today, but I'm leading towards changing it after bids process on Saturday to partial remake. I say, that would be awesome. Then he responds the day later. later, oh two of days later, it is done. That's exciting. But then some people in the community saw they figured it out. So shout out to fresh dandruff and retro rat said, highse of the century.
Starting point is 00:32:52 I said, please be cool about it. L.O.L. I was very scared. And the retro rat says, tastemaker, more like cheat taker. Am I right? Just kidding. You rule. We'll be cool. So shout out to y'all. Shout out to seeing this and keeping this on the deal because this was the highest of the century. This was a huge moment. And they were going to change it. Anyways, if you look through the Discord chat, if me and Mike didn't show up, we weren't like the defining fucking moment where it's like, oh shit, Snowbike Mike came in here. He said, man, that sounds right to me. And then we changed it.
Starting point is 00:33:22 No, if you look through it, they were going to change it. But we just wanted to be there. Blessing, only you and me are on camera right now. So only you and I can hear this. Next year, only new games, no trades. No, no. That's boring. It's just throwing that up there.
Starting point is 00:33:35 That's boring. The thing that flabbergasts me more is that you did all of this work. to what maybe get one point more like these games aren't it's not like final fantasy the evil least chronicles is gonna be a fucking 95 on metacritic or some shit i don't think it's gonna score like tens of more points tell me about final fantasy tactics and it's importance in uh video game history and final fantasy tactics no no i want to hear it i want to hear from the guy all fantasy time is one of the greatest tactic games of all time uh a pivotal moment in the history of square uh back in the day and for Final Fantasy as a franchise.
Starting point is 00:34:10 Incredible video game in a very niche genre that I do not know is going to review that well in 2020. Especially when it is unfortunately a partial remake and they're not remaking the parts that we want the right way.
Starting point is 00:34:23 So what are the parts that you would like them to remake? I'd like some voice acting. Oh, well, that's interesting. Wow. Because let's talk about Final Fantasy tactics. There's two different modes, one that mirrors the original game,
Starting point is 00:34:35 so it's not, of course, it's rebuilt from the ground up. It is a remake. but you know it's more towards the original version and then one of course that has updated dialogue what ways is more towards actually okay you're reading it go for go for it go for it well it's just it's basically they're trying to do the original version that doesn't have any voice acting
Starting point is 00:34:50 or updated uh or updated dialogue and uh the new art style that's beautiful that we all love so that is the two different modes of the game is that they have like an original version and then they have an updated version that has full voice acting okay it has new dialogue and then has a brand new ui and everything I cannot wait for both of these themes to be out so we can apparently contrast. This is beautiful. Yeah, that sounds great. And then I look at what they did to update the art style.
Starting point is 00:35:15 And it's like, man, this is really disappointing. Yeah, I mean, if I, if I really, if I really squint, I see it. And it's beautiful. Right. Yeah, I've done that. Yeah, and it looks great. So if I just squint a little bit and the PC mod, I'm sure someone's going to figure out it. Because by the way, you can't switch the art cells.
Starting point is 00:35:30 I'm going to review a PC mod. You can't switch the art cells, which is hilarious. That's amazing. So they have the, all the full, the full voice acting and everything. That is, that is hidden behind the, the new version of the game that has the updated dial and you can't change the sprites or anything. I just, I, okay, I want a centering of where our expectations are for both this and Ninja Guy and Four. And then I want, why was Crimson Desert lost? You know, what happened at Crimson Dawn?
Starting point is 00:35:59 We see it again, sorry? Where's the release date for that one? That's not a real game. So you never believed in that game. Oh, I don't know. Yeah, I was going to drop that shit. So you wanted it so you can drop it anyway. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:09 So that's where I get very confused. So that's why why don't you just let it happen. You know what I mean? So Mitch Guideline 4 is currently in the ether. Yeah. But no one has room on their team except for Mike and very few have drops. Yes. So where we're at currently right now is Roger has Final Fantasy tactics due to,
Starting point is 00:36:23 I'm going to call it underhanded tactics to get this. All right. I do think that we can assume Final Fantasy tactics despite what we're talking about here is probably going to be getting in the 85. Well, That's what I wanted to ask. I was like, what are your predictions for the number it gets?
Starting point is 00:36:38 76. No. Yeah. I think the people who are going to review this are people who fucking love Final Fantasy tactics. And they're going to play this and they're going to be like, there's better ways to play this game where the art style, like you get the original art style and all that stuff.
Starting point is 00:36:53 I think people are going to play this and be really thrown off by the art style and how it looks and shit and they're not going to be happy about it. Barrett is on to something. Having said that, I do think there's quality of life stuff. gameplay-wise that I expect this game to add that I do think the hardcore people are going to be like, I don't like the way it looks,
Starting point is 00:37:12 but that's fair. You know, but it's a flip of the coin there where it could be a 76. I'm leaning more towards that mid-80s. That's my thing. I'm leaning towards like light 80s. I'm thinking 83. 95. No.
Starting point is 00:37:27 Have you thought about the number 95? No. How often do we get Super Nintendo games remade? And like, PlayStation. Oh, you're right. PlayStation. Sorry, sorry, sorry. But like even, I guess more so just the 16 bit slash like this type of game being remade.
Starting point is 00:37:43 And what does that do as far as like metacritic and critical reception? Because I think the thing that we always come back to is like, man, these games were amazing at the time, but they just don't age as well. And like there's a tug of war there of like, okay, well, there's still something special here. And that's, if you look at my. Dragon Quest. Yeah. If you look at my fantasy critic really quick, like that is the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, issue with my strategy of getting a bunch of remakes and remasters, right?
Starting point is 00:38:08 Specifically when it comes to like... Like Dragon Quest actually looks good. Sure, absolutely. But what I'm talking about like a game like Elder Scrolls for Oblivion, right? Where it's like it is... That game just feels like the original game and people are kind of... Are judging it based on the modern interpretation of it and less of the historical, like, this game mattered a lot back in the day.
Starting point is 00:38:28 No, I got to actually... What was the first sentence? Is it just like the original game? It's just the original game? Oh, interesting. You said something, though. You said that. Roll the tape back.
Starting point is 00:38:36 Roll the tape back. Get the clip back. Get the clip back. Get the clip back. But if you look at Oblivion, if you really want to go there, blessing, if you really want to go. First of all, let's hover over that.
Starting point is 00:38:44 That, not that. Not that. Well, I mean, yeah, that's after extensive Discord debate, we have decided that this is a remake despite the name. And if they didn't put that, I wouldn't have known
Starting point is 00:38:53 that there were discord debates at all. So they also, they put that and I was like, oh shit. Oh, it's this remake. They also misspelled decided. So I don't trust these people anymore. They don't have a spell check on the website. Fucking whatever.
Starting point is 00:39:05 The Elder Scrolls 4, Oblivion, has remastered in the title. Yeah, but it's a full remake in Unreal Engine 5. And even that, like, I'll take that argument. I just feel like we're pushing these things too. Sure, I mean, let's talk about it. What is the definition of a remake to you? Let's go around the table. I don't want to have this conversation.
Starting point is 00:39:22 This is another conversation. You know what? No. Okay. So then there's no issue with what I'm doing. There's no issue that. I think everything we're doing is great. Yeah, you know what, there is no issue.
Starting point is 00:39:30 Because they're going to keep getting. you low 80s scores. I mean, I'm doing great right now. I don't know what you're talking about. Apparently he was so pressed that he wouldn't let this trade go through. You know what I mean? He must be a little bit serious. But that's not the trade you sold me, Roger.
Starting point is 00:39:44 You know, I don't know what position I really have here. I'm going to call myself the moderator of this conversation. Yeah. As the moderator, I do have many questions that I just want to hear an answer. I want to hear words coming out of your mouth, Roger Pekorney. What are you up to? This is what I was up to. Yeah, I mean, okay.
Starting point is 00:40:01 But clearly. not the case. Why are you so desperate to get rid of Ninja Gaiden? Why do you have this partnership with Mike? Why were you trying to trade? Did you really think? Answer this with a yes or no. Did you think that Ninja Guiden 4 was going to perform worse than Black Desert Dawn? Crimson Desert. I just didn't even know if that game was going to come out. Ninja Guiden? No, Crimson Don. This is my thing. This is my thing. I don't know if that game's going to come out. So then why were you trying to give away one of your
Starting point is 00:40:28 game? Why are you trying to get rid of it? Because I don't, I don't want Ninja But I feel like Roger misunderstands the rules of this. Yeah. Because like, why didn't you just, I guess you did drop. Well, I wanted, I wanted to give a little quid pro crow for Mike, right? Mike helped me out. He's in the chat for me. But you deserve a little something.
Starting point is 00:40:44 I don't want this game really that much. I want Final Fantasy. But let me ask you this. Does this sound fishy to you? Yes. It sounds so fishy, but I guess I understand the reasoning of like, you scratch my back, I scratch yours. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:58 I'm giving. Alliance. It's not about Crimson Dawn. Roger does not give a fuck. Don't give a fuck. He doesn't give a fuck. He was going to drop it anyway. I want to drop that game even if it was coming out.
Starting point is 00:41:06 The real trade here is Mike helping Roger in the discord. And for that, he's then trading Mike. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Oh, you're admitting to that. Oh, yeah. Is that any illegal? Which, if we go back to the Greg Miller fucking Gary Whitton situation.
Starting point is 00:41:24 Well, that was money. The whole thing that we banned were trades that were about things outside of the video. Oh, it's the video game. This is the video game right here. Greg, This is a conversation. Greg got a game from Gary Witta so that he could promote Gary's book on the show.
Starting point is 00:41:40 Is there any promotion of books going on here? And there was also cash money in that as well. There's a discord. Anyone can go on that discord and have their opinion. But you still had him help you. Especially for trading. Interesting. You had him.
Starting point is 00:41:52 I didn't realize that we got him boys. It doesn't sound like Mike's opinion, though. You said everyone can have an opinion. And that was his opinion. I looked at him and I said, What do you think about this? What do you think about this? And then he was like,
Starting point is 00:42:03 No, you went to him and you were like, we got to do something about this. Here's a Discord link. Let's go in here. Now let's have a conversation about the first amendment. I gotta buy yellow cards and red cards. Because I think the first amendment is under fire right now. Because Snowbike Mike and me just have an opinion.
Starting point is 00:42:20 Name the first three amendments. One, two, three. He nailed it, plus. He got you there. You got me there. You got me there. So, everybody. Let me just be very clear with this.
Starting point is 00:42:33 I know we're inside the bit. Let me just get outside the bit a little bit here. I think it's funny that I have my entire LISB remakes. I think it's very funny. So I just kind of looked around and I was like, you know what? I don't really believe a ninja guy to that much. But Black Dawn was in the fucking, well, because he never wanted, that was never the end goal for him.
Starting point is 00:42:50 That was never the end goal. No, yeah. I just wanted to drop it. I wanted to give Ninja Guy into him because he wanted Ninja Guy. What's funny is that, I'm not even opposed to Final Fantasy, the evilest chronicles being a remake. Because I would have called it.
Starting point is 00:43:00 No, that's bullshit. We need you as a people be better than this. What are you talking about? They did rebuild. I don't give a fuck. I don't give a fuck about it. It's actually,
Starting point is 00:43:10 no, you look at this shit, that's a fucking remaster. They just lost their code. That's their bad. That's their fucking bad. This game does not look different enough. No. That's a remake.
Starting point is 00:43:20 You have to remake the game. Fuck you, Square. Fuck you. You're stupid. Don't lose your shit. You did this with Kingdom Hearts. You called that a remaster. It was a remake because they fucking...
Starting point is 00:43:32 I don't know. Fuck that. That's so stupid. I mean, it looks different. I can understand why you didn't want to have this conversation, too. If it not, does not look like it... It looks like you took the original game, just kind of smushed it a little bit. But that's the thing. It's a bad remake. It's a bad-looking remake.
Starting point is 00:43:47 It's going to get Roger six points. When Ninja Guyton 4 probably would have gotten Roger 17. That's my guess. Whatever we're calling it, right? Partial remake, whatever. It's not as bad as Xenoblate Chronicles X definitive edition. You're right, bless. you're absolutely right
Starting point is 00:44:00 this list hey listen that's so interesting that's just a porch the fucking port it's a definitive addition because there's more content blessing there's more content there's some extra content were you in the discord about no I actually wasn't that was me
Starting point is 00:44:11 that was me live on the first episode that we did this me looking up games and then I see it I have the moment where I was like how the fuck is this a partial reading I'm just so happy I'm like a fucking pig and slop I'm so excited I was so fucking excited
Starting point is 00:44:26 so fucking excited legal. This is all good stuff. First of all, I'm very proud of myself. Honestly, you just incriminated yourself toward the end of this episode by admitting that the real trade here was for the Discord support. Oh, I'm sorry because you didn't even enable fucking trade so it doesn't matter.
Starting point is 00:44:41 Because if I did, guess what? This would have been a whole can of worms. This would have been a whole thing. This would have been a whole controversy. In the end, I was fucking... But then you also agree that this game should have been a remake. I mean, I don't give a fuck. Yeah. Like, yeah, it feels a remake. It's whatever the site... You should have been in the Discord saying in your opinion. It's whatever the...
Starting point is 00:44:58 What game would you have... giving him for it, Roger. If you believe something, why don't you say it? You know what I'm doing? That's the issue with this generation. There's a separation between me as a man with opinions and me as a commissioner of a league, right? For me as a man with opinions, like the fucking final fanci tactics, whatever, I don't give a fuck. It's Zeno Blake Chronicles where I get pissed off.
Starting point is 00:45:16 But me as the commissioner, I need to let that happen because I'm going by the site rules. If the fantasy litig fools over there that I know watch this episode and I'm looking at you, if you're allowing ZenoBlake Chronicles X definitive edition I'm going to allow it even though I think it's dumb They say examples this category is hard to define A lot of games that are too remade to be remade To be remastered but too similar to be a remake they live here That's beautiful skyward sword HD
Starting point is 00:45:42 I was the one I scoffed at but Tim They did make that game playable on a controller And without motion controls And that's the interesting part is that Did any of you all play Xenoconcals X definitive edition? Actually yes I booted it up Did you play the original though? No
Starting point is 00:45:56 No context. Fuck you. The whole thing could have been brand new. No idea. This has been a good episode because I have so much information now going into the next season of the league. Yeah. Of things that need to be off. I just don't want you.
Starting point is 00:46:11 I think this is all fun. This is a great time. And I don't want you to neuter this league. I don't want going into next year. I'm not neutering anything. I want this shenanigans. And if you say, oh, there's no remakes. There's just all brand new fucking games.
Starting point is 00:46:23 Boring, boring, boring. Here's what I'm. Let me go over here and find. This is what I want. I want an episode before this. Fantasy League episode where we all have a round table and we vote on rules. Okay, I like that.
Starting point is 00:46:33 We're gonna vote, hey, what level of remakes do we allow? We're gonna vote, hey, trading on or off? We're gonna, and it's gonna be a majority. And what I would love is if there is a question of a game, of a game's, uh, legality and where it's at for us to have
Starting point is 00:46:49 some type of pre-discussed situation and, and, and, uh, judging or whatever it is, maybe we call it an outsider. Maybe it is just majority, whatever it looks like. Yes. We need to figure that out because I want us to all have that discussion.
Starting point is 00:47:01 I mean, the outsider technically is literally fantasy. Like the website. I mean, I think we need another outside. Yeah, like a human.
Starting point is 00:47:07 Yeah, maybe James and I feel like that's then a unanimous vote. Can, no, but unanimity, because then you get an issue like Barrett over here.
Starting point is 00:47:13 This wasn't, who clearly wants Mike to lose and then he just tried the right decision. I did. I followed the rule of the law. Also, can one of the things
Starting point is 00:47:22 we vote for blessing before we draft next year is whether we kick Roger out of the league. That too. Yeah, that's also got to be up for debate. We got to talk about is Roger included in this league. I mean, listen.
Starting point is 00:47:31 Love was a collusion here. A lot of collusion. They're trying to hold you down, Roger. Oh, me and I. You're saying collusion, but not talking about Roger being the one colluding? It's crazy that I feel like I'm the only one playing by the actual rules. You're the only one going to be in wishy-washy. Oh, interesting.
Starting point is 00:47:46 We should disqualify all of you guys for being silly billies. Yeah, I like that. I like that. Tip, let's do a quick check in on your team here real quick. Hold on. Where are you at? Where are you at? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:55 I can easily pick you out. Yeah, here you are, 10 points. Yep. Tim picked up Mafia the old country and Silent Hill F. That's great, actually. He has one of the other remakes. That's exciting.
Starting point is 00:48:04 Tim, I would say, like, mafia comes out this week. My advice to you, if it wasn't coming out this week, we would be to drop it and then pick up Nentgeny, but you're kind of fucked on. Yeah, you're kind of fucked up.
Starting point is 00:48:15 You're kind of fucked up here. All right. Okay. So if we're talking about, like, a third party, who would be a great third party? I'm thinking somebody in this office. You're the only person talking about a third party,
Starting point is 00:48:24 by the way. I'm thinking somebody in this office, maybe. somebody that plays video games, but you know, doesn't really have a stake in this. Oh. No, we're not doing. I think your other good friend. Nick Scarpenno. No, he's my boss. He's the only true
Starting point is 00:48:37 man. Just in this office. That's it. Yeah. We, I've been, I've been doing this league for five years. All right. Ever since I joined kind of funny, I brought it to PS, I love you. That's beautiful. We've been doing it over the years. You've done a great job, by the way, blessing. I take this league seriously. And I am not letting Nick Scarpino have final words on major rule decisions in this league. Nick Zarpino is the only person that understands every single thing about this company.
Starting point is 00:49:00 He knows what's going on at all times. There's never a time you could ask him a question about our content, our staff. Has Roger offered you a video game? And this is why you're backing him up. I can, I have for everybody. I can offer him all of my video years. Unless we're going insane. I mean, here's the thing.
Starting point is 00:49:18 I'm not trying to butter anybody up. But I will say that there's only one person here whose name. has been combined with Nostradamus because of how well they can predict the future. And that's Rodghani. This is not only a fantasy critic. Oh, yeah, we're so deep in this episode. This is a, I mean, I did not expect that there's a,
Starting point is 00:49:39 there's been a lot of words for me to read. And then there was just a one, Roger Damasus update with a link. I did not expect that link to have a lot of words. We can bring that up another day, or do you want to do it now? I mean, I feel like there's a lot of conversation to have here.
Starting point is 00:49:50 Yeah, it's a lot. But also, I don't know what other day would bring it up. Yeah, I mean, it's up to. I would like to go through the Roger Let's just do it just so we can laugh at Roger All right, it was not that bad, calm down Fucking fucking Tim You know I'm on this fucking guy
Starting point is 00:50:04 Come on, it's me and you Me you and Nick January These are all my predictions that I had in the beginning of the year I did month by month if you hadn't watched It's a great episode, you should watch it But now we're already in August So we have to look through a lot of them
Starting point is 00:50:18 And say how many I got right Yeah, January Switch 2 is announced Bang You know what I mean, boom I did have a bunch of other things that we will read. Sabrina Carpenter's in the trailer. I read into a Reddit post and I was like,
Starting point is 00:50:30 damn, that's going to be fire. You were wrong about it. Yeah. But I have seen Paul Rudd and Switch to commercials. Pretty close. Close. Pretty close. You're right.
Starting point is 00:50:37 Very close. The big feature is the Switch can send the switch signal to dock wirelessly. Which was such a stupid prediction. All right. No, dude. That would have been great. I liked the, yeah. What is the C button?
Starting point is 00:50:48 So essentially, like, you wanted it to do what the Wii you did, but worse? No, but better. No, that is fantastic. Yeah, exactly. And then you can just press a button and then you're playing. 720s P signal casting to your TV. No, bro. We're negative on this. The technology does, it exists.
Starting point is 00:51:03 It's out there. It does exist. What are you talking about? Geforce now, man. Geforce now, bro. February, GTA 6th trailer and it's delayed to 2026. I was wrong about the month, but it did happen. Happened in May.
Starting point is 00:51:13 Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I like that. Yeah. Solubborn. March, the February fallout is what I called it. These are a bunch of games that I was predicting what their success level was going to be. I said shadows and avowed were going to underperform.
Starting point is 00:51:23 Shadows definitely did not underperform. It did well. Avowed, I put as that I was wrong there, but, you know, with Game Pass, you don't really know what the fuck anything means or what performing means, but they say that the game did fine, so I believe them.
Starting point is 00:51:35 Siv and Yacusa does about expected. Wilds is the biggest monster hunter in history, and Blumen Range gets lost, Bloom and Rage gets lost in the Shuffle. You're so right about Blumen Rage getting lost in the shuffle. That sucks. Wilds slowed down recently. It slowed down, but it was like the biggest launch is what I was.
Starting point is 00:51:51 I was talking about the launch month. So, you know, I give it to that. but yeah. I don't, but okay. I mean, I said, well, oh, okay, yeah. You said Wiles is the biggest monster hunter in history. I was talking about that munch, so. I'll give you partial remake credit for that, okay?
Starting point is 00:52:04 He's on my side now, everybody. I don't remember anybody that those high fives more than Roger Borgorny. About the way, I'm sick, everybody. I got the vid. April, switch to launches, launch window lineup, Mario and Donkey Kong Odyssey.
Starting point is 00:52:18 Shout out to him. You know, it's not, don't Mario and Doggong Odyssey, but it is kind of Donkey Kong Odyssey. if we removed the Mario part of it, I was right. I'll give you partial. Animal Crossing, incorrect. Alderring was announced, did not come out, launch window,
Starting point is 00:52:31 where we have no date on that. Metro Prime 4,4, same deal. Every first party game has a 4K upgrade for $7. Included in NSO. Sort of right when it came to Tears of the Kingdom, because that was included in NSO. Yeah, so I was like partially right there, but I didn't give it to men.
Starting point is 00:52:47 May completely whiffed. I said there was going to be a showcase, a PlayStation showcase. I said there was going to be the new IP from Sony, Santa Monica. Ghost of Yote new trailer, Wolverine, game I will later talk about is revealed. And Bloodborn
Starting point is 00:52:59 remake closed the show, of course, none of that happened. Do you remember what this game I will talk about later is revealed? You will see, we'll talk about it in a second. Maybe it still happens, who knows? June, Summer Game Fest, I got most of these wrong. Sonic Adventure Remakes is what I said, because I thought they're good both of them, which is insane. Percona 6 teaser
Starting point is 00:53:17 for 2026, Splinter Soul gameplay. Fucking Jesus Christ, God. And then this is my favorite one. No Silk Song. parentheses dev hell, which I will talk about in a second as well. July, I said Ubisoft is sold probably to Tencent. I was incorrect about the month, but they were, they did create a subsidiary that houses most of their big franchises with a massive investment from Tencent. I would say partial, partial remake. Now we're getting to the future, so let's show you what's going to happen. Let's get to the future. This is important. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:53:47 this is what's going to happen in the future, everybody. August this month, Phil Spencer resigns from Xbox. Yeah, we had 24 days. We have 24 days. days left, yeah. You know, I'll make the thumbnail for KFGD right now. It's going to happen. I think in the next 12 months. Okay. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:02 Maybe when is, when is next gen? Because I could see him launching the next Xbox. And then being like, and then being like, all right. 2027, I think is next year. September. So I'll give him 24 months. But it's going to, it's going to happen soon. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:16 September. Kingdom Hearts 4 is re-revealed and a new Yakuza game. This is all TGS, uh, Tokyo game show. And maybe more Project Century. So Kingdom Parts 4, I feel like, yes. Yeah. You still feeling good about a new Yakuza game? Um, semi.
Starting point is 00:54:30 Like, they have to be working on one. They're always cooking. They're not, even though they're working on like five different projects, they're not going to be like, hey, also, we're not working on a Yakuza game. Like, this would be the time to do it. So they not announce one recently. No, they have like a dragon, we bought a pizza shop. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:43 There was Project Century that they renamed as the official name. I forget the name of it. Something like hell. We century of something. Century of something. we we from project no not no it's not no I'm stupid that's the project
Starting point is 00:54:57 somebody tell us what the project Stranger than hell Stranger than hell Stranger than heaven Stranger than heaven Stranger than heaven Look at us Come on
Starting point is 00:55:04 Yeah I mean More and more I think about I'm like probably not this year But it could happen I mean they do it early A lot of times October this is the game That I was talking about
Starting point is 00:55:13 Until Dawn 2 releases Yeah there's a chance This chance You know I mean At this point A quick turnaround of announcement To release I'm shocked this didn't happen actually
Starting point is 00:55:23 Yeah right where's that game? Yeah I mean That company didn't go under right Fire Sprite FireWalk Fire Sprite is the alloy drinks Yeah Sprite No Firewalk is gone right
Starting point is 00:55:34 Yeah Aloha drink Sprite Aloi drink Sprite So yeah fire I don't know Sprite Sprite I'm gonna type in
Starting point is 00:55:42 Until Don Anyway they They released the remaster And the remaster Had like a new teaser Yes Yeah yeah yeah
Starting point is 00:55:51 So Super Mast wouldn't be involved. Fire Sprite. Yeah. So. Firewalk was Concord. There it is. Ah.
Starting point is 00:55:59 November. Fucking idiots. New call of duty comes out in ellipses. Eclipse. It sucks. Black Op. 7 is what I said. And it's rushed to release
Starting point is 00:56:08 like Model War IV 3. So I got Blackop 7 right. So yeah. Is this game going to be booty or not? Who knows? How is going on November? Not very high on it. I just,
Starting point is 00:56:16 this one just feels weird. Like we don't usually get like two years of back-to-back black ops and you know, it feels like there, I think it was three and four we did that as well. And four, I believe, wasn't as well received. Maybe I'm misremor remembering that. But either way, Monwar for two and three. They did that recently. That didn't work out.
Starting point is 00:56:31 Oh, cool. So, I mean, that's a prediction that feels, you know, kind of. Yeah, normal and good. Well, on December. Oh, December. That's a big month, of course. Game Awards. Game Awards.
Starting point is 00:56:39 What's going to happen there? Oh, man. Of course, half-life three is going to be announced there. Of course. I mean, my, my idea behind that was that Keely needs a little bit, a little bit of that hit that he got last year. and he wants to continue the moment of like, man, TGA, TGA, you gotta tune in to TGA. I'm gonna start TGA, TGA, TGA, you gotta start tuning into the Spike Game Awards.
Starting point is 00:56:58 You gotta be watching this. And he's gonna be like, listen, it's Half Life 3, apparently you always see it. You always see the news. Half Life 3, Half Life X is what they call it in the code names. It's almost done. Some nerd on YouTube is always like, oh, man, I saw them update something and it's right there. It's inside of deadlock. Also, why the fuck would it be inside of deadlock?
Starting point is 00:57:16 I don't understand that, but like, we just all believe it. I don't know. Believe it, dude. We all believe it. I believe it. My internal monologue also believes that there's a Team Fortress 3.
Starting point is 00:57:25 Okay. That's just, okay. A portal 3, yeah. No, no, no, that doesn't exist. But Team 4thor 3, I believe in, for some reason. So yeah, Half-Life 3. And then I have updated ones. We won't talk about that.
Starting point is 00:57:34 It's all bullshit. But yeah, it's about it, everybody. I do have a tweet from a year ago from special Nick from an Xbox era who said, here's some info I heard about the sequel, talking about Until Dawn 2. Apparently it's fire sprite making it.
Starting point is 00:57:48 So I think that's what we're going off of. And then also the fact that Until Dawn remake ended with a new teaser for something that seemingly was upcoming. We need to talk about your open critic predictions. So let me read it out real quick. Open critic predictions. I'd put some numbers to everything. Blackop 7, 62. Jesus.
Starting point is 00:58:02 What fuck? Pokemon Zah. Wait, did we talk about that? No, it's just predictions that I have. Oh, right now. Yeah, yeah, yeah. These are new predictions. He's a new prediction.
Starting point is 00:58:09 You think Black Op. Seven is going to get a 62. Yeah. The Model War for 3 got like a 40 or something crazy like that. Yeah. Yeah. The new model 4? Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:58:17 That happens. It happens. Pokemon Zah, 75. It's a little bit above Scarlet. Mafia 71. Krono 79. Ninja Guidon 4, 83. Sonic Cross Worlds, 85.
Starting point is 00:58:29 Fuck yeah, dude. Silent Hill F, 86. Ghost of Yote, 90. Metroid Prime 4, 92. Who would have those two games in the fantasy league? I don't know. I think it's a hampsom devil like me.
Starting point is 00:58:40 And then, of course, Final Fantasy Tactics 100. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. We're going to get that. I don't know if you're meming or not with the Sonic Cross Worlds, but I do feel like with the disappointment of Mario Kart. Yeah, I'm not even joking about that one. Like people are going to be weirdly higher on Sonic. They're going to be like, yeah, this is the Mario Kart world that you always wanted.
Starting point is 00:58:59 Sega has had fantastic racing games before. Yeah, separate from Mario. So that's my big one right there. Also, the other one, I'll say one more one. I think Borderlands 4 is going to do way better than you all expect. I think we all think that. Oh, really? Oh, I guess I haven't talked to you all about this in a while.
Starting point is 00:59:13 I just felt like the vibes were originally. I'm just personally not like going back. I think that game's going to do. do like I think that game is going to be like big big numbers like I think the game's going to be like the biggest borderlands of all time I've been saying this for like a year I feel like we finally like yeah now we're here I'm just feeling I'm just looking around I'm like man I can go once I say that I can go for a borderlands that's that's crazy something's in the air yeah I feel like a lot of friends and friend groups would want to play for it's been great previews their showings have been good right
Starting point is 00:59:36 like I think they're saying all the right things they read did they didn't redo but like they have like a lot of riders on this that we're aware of partial remake yeah it seems like they're making a lot of good choices except for still including rainy pitchfers as the talking head about it. Yeah. Well, everyone, you heard a lot of facts today. Facts. Opinions not so much.
Starting point is 00:59:56 That's cool. You know, we're not an opinion show. We're a fact show, everyone. We're three journalists here at this desk. That's the word. That is the word. Barrett's there. Hi, I love you.
Starting point is 01:00:07 Can we like rename this episode of Roger's bullshit revealed? No. Because we got to the bottom of it. Oh, we got your. Yeah, unfortunately, Roger, like, we, you said some things you probably shouldn't have said. revealed some you yeah like i believe in gay marriage no not that part all right because i don't think you said that there in the stream i'm not responsible for anything what you're doing i to gay marriage
