What's up everybody?
Welcome to the Kind of Funny Games cast for Tuesday, March 31st, 2026.
I'm one of your host, Greg Miller, alongside Forbes 30 under 30, AKA New York Game Awards nominated,
A. K. A. Goldfish, Bobby. It's blessing Eddie. O. You got to get in a little snack between the shows.
Oh, man, I hear you. I was eating chicken wings out there. Oh, chicken wings. I went. I walked in. I said, Mike. You made fun of my solid yesterday.
I think chicken wings are more acceptable. For breakfast? 45. You know what I walked into Mike and Mike's room. I was like, hey, I'm going to order McDonald's. He said, no. Then we got Jabber drawn in there. The next thing I know I went to do it is like, you can't order for breakfast. I was like, ah, fuck. Damn.
It's how I was torn up. I didn't want to have my rice bowl.
already. Should we bring back McDonald's
24-7? Yes, we should. Didn't COVID
kill that? Isn't that what happened? What happened there, Greg?
He came back and then they killed it again.
Then I was telling Andy that I screwed up
the McDonald's order and literally while I was explaining
it to the end, I was like, oh, Starbucks, I could have just
pivoted to the bucks, gotten a breakfast sandwich.
I'm a one-and-two voter.
And it's 24-7 breakfast at McDonald's.
I want hash browns non-stop.
Yeah, 100%. Hasbounds, a little flapjack
hot cakes. Oh my gosh. My little
brother had one of those McGritles.
I've never had a Mick Grittle. You never had a Mick Grittle?
Let me tell you what.
I got the scent of that McGrittle.
I said, am I doing it wrong?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
You shouldn't have a McGrittle.
Could be dangerous.
McGrittle McMuffin is the difference is the pancake.
Yeah, the difference is like the, it's a pancake bun.
The bun is pretty much a pancake infused with syrup.
Yeah.
It's one of the most wonderful creation.
And blessing is right.
Like, when I have one of those, I feel like I'm about to have a heart attack.
I still remember my first time eating a McGrittle.
Like, that's how good.
Damn.
It's not like discovering a gem.
It was a big deal.
I remember when they announced that when they brought that out.
Of course, he's the master of hype still.
Mike.
Greg, thanks for having me.
A really fun episode.
These are my favorite episodes, but it's a double-edged sword.
Because I get so excited for these games.
But then I also have the pressure of like,
I'm never going to get to these games.
Yeah.
And I'm trying my best.
Of course, of course.
Yeah.
We're talking about every game coming on in April.
There's a lot, as always.
Isn't that right?
Hispanic Arthrop, Texas Street.
Latino heat.
Clicking heads and ripping him to shreds.
The globe trotting.
Root and Tootin.
three-point shoot. Nitro right from
Twitch.tv. Andy Cortez.
Hello, everybody. Real unfortunate. We're all trying
our best out here, but real unfortunate that
I spent $40 at the pump and got
six and a half gallons.
I filled my car yesterday
on the way to the movie theater, and like, I was
waiting for it to stop and you just never
come. You're still
filling up. I was like, don't 40 bucks
in there, six and a half gallons. Oh, go to hell, man.
And also, I'll tell you what, I got a car wash
on Friday. I drove by Mike and Roger in the
parking lot, and they were like, damn, Roger, you would
look good in that. Mike was like, Roger, you would look good in that car, Roger. And I was like,
Roger, the price is just going up every day with how, like, expensive used cars are getting
nowadays. Watch my car look so pristine. It already looked like it rained dirt all over my car. Like,
man, it's just a dirty car already. It's misting and it's also this, the rest of this week is going to
rain. It was a bad time to get a car wash on this one thing. It was just misty, though,
but like it's misty and dirt. My car just looks like someone was also like, like throwing sand
at it. The entirety of, of course, you live in a city and you're parking outside. You don't have a
just to give context to someone.
Yeah. And the entirety of San Francisco
has been under construction for the last six years.
Oh, that's definitely what it is. It's the construction.
Fucking dirt everywhere, dude.
Like Lori. You know what I mean?
What's it?
Larry?
Let's go San Francisco.
I love that guy.
You didn't know this is the kind of funny games cast.
Each and every weekday, we run you through the biggest topics in a video game.
It's whether they be reviews, previews, or just topics we need to talk about.
If you like that, of course, be part of the show with Super Chats.
YouTube.com slash kind of funny games right now.
You can tell me about your most anticipated games for April
so that when we get to talking about that game,
I can throw in your opinion on it.
Of course, we couldn't do this show
without the opinions of our producers
on patreon.com slash kind of funny.
So thank you Carl Jacobs, Omega Buster,
and Delaney the Psalm twining.
For now, let's begin with what is and forever will be.
Topic of the show.
It's March 31st, 2026.
It's the last day of March, which means we need to look at April, everybody.
Of course, Andy, don't get fooled tomorrow.
April Fool's Day pops off tomorrow.
Don't be fooled when you wake up, all right?
I'm going to see a lot of messages from Nick.
Most of them are fake.
I mean, most of the messages, you know, are popping up on not April Fool's and they're coming from a fool.
Like, that's most of what happens.
Damn, damn, that was crazy.
It was deep.
Thank you.
It was good seeing Tim yesterday.
I missed him.
speak for yourself, I guess.
No.
That's the, that's the dark cloud hanging over April.
Tim returns April 13th.
You know what I mean?
Uh, no.
Uh, we're going to talk through like we do every each,
and every month, uh, going through every game coming out, uh, for the upcoming
month.
So we are, of course, turning our eyes to releases.com.
And before we even jump into the games,
are you expecting a big bumper crop month?
You already said, Mike, you've seen what's going on here.
A bit what?
Yeah.
A bumper crop.
I stop questioning.
That's a real phrase.
That is a real phrase.
What, from the 1800s?
Bumper crop.
Fucking, you're from the Midwest, too, you claim.
What's convenient, both of you?
Both of you.
You raised pigs.
Shut up.
We're doing a bumper crop.
We're doing a bumper crop having the sock hop dance.
A bumper crop is an unusually larger,
abundant harvest of fruit, vegetables, or grain produced in this single farming season.
Violet says it read more, you fucks.
You know what I mean?
Get your head out of these goddamn archive of our own porn stories.
All right.
Get out of that.
Anyways, blessing, are you expecting a lot of games in April you're excited for?
Yes, because I always, oh, that I'm excited for?
Yeah.
Yes.
Okay.
I can't think, I've not looked at the core list yet.
Yeah, we'll go through the list.
But off the top of my brain, isn't Pragata this month?
It is?
Yeah, that's the one.
That and Pokemon Champions.
And I'm sure this more.
I just can't think of them.
Sure, sure, sure.
Andy, are you expecting a big April for you?
Yeah, I mean, especially with Pragata and then it's so hard,
saying pragmatta now.
I got to say pragmatic.
Pragmatic.
Pragmatic?
No, it's definitely pragmatic.
Stigmata.
Pragata, no.
Really?
Yeah, stigmata is just the Jesus thing.
I did that.
I infected all your hands.
Sorry.
So were we saying pragmatic?
It's pragmatia.
Because that's how they've always said it on the
invidia things.
They've always said in pragmatta.
That's how you just said it a little while ago.
Magmata.
Yeah, but what I said it, I thought you guys were going to make fun of you got to.
This is definitely the month where things are going to start heeding.
It hates. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We got replaced. We got pragmatta. We got Soros. Oh,
oh my gosh. Let's get into it. Of course, we're going to Releases.com where you should too for a comprehensive look at everything coming out.
Remember, we go day by day and kind of power through unless there's something to say or show about that game.
So April 1st is where it begins. No fooling. Uh, goat simulator three comes to switch to. I can't believe goat simulator is still going. But that's a conversation for a different day.
Then I saw this one. Spark ignites.
I feel like now's the only day that we could have that conversation.
No, no, we don't need to stop and talk about simulators.
Spark Ignites a pixel fantasy RPG where the star god's blessing grants one wish each century.
Or if an ash and clover uncover its bloody truth during their pilgrimage.
Holding a world changing secret will you steal divine power or defy the gods.
Every choice writes a new ending.
This looks sick as hell.
That's how was my thought on it.
You know what I mean?
As I've come back into my turn-based RPG years here,
starting with Octopath last year
into multiple Dragon Quest this year.
I looked at this and I said, you know what?
I'm looking at you. PC early access does the thing
where I'm like, oh, wait for you to come to Switch in a year and a half,
two years. You're what? You gotta be there.
Well, it's just like you're playing on your Xbox Rock Ally.
Yeah, of course. Could you not play it there? But you're a Switch guy now, so I get it.
No, no, no. It's not even
oh, the platform issue. No, I'm a PC gamer. You know that.
Look at me over here. I'm on all sorts of dark subredits now.
I mean it more in the way of like, I'm still,
I had this conversation real briefly
on one of the shows yesterday.
Maybe it was a Greg way.
Of somebody who has been out of shape
that we put our video content on podcast
fees on Spotify.
And I had to explain to that person.
Like, you don't understand.
You're old.
Like, I'm with you of when I hear or say podcasts,
I think of an MP3.
Me and Damon are uploading in a podcast room.
Everyone else in the world now thinks of a video.
It doesn't matter, right?
I am still, stick with me where I'm going.
I'm still over here that when I see early access,
I go all away for the final game.
I don't want to jump into something that doesn't have
every bell whistle,
whatever they want to add to it kind of thing.
And that's a dangerous game,
because now we know early access can take forever.
Yeah, forever.
And he's still playing deadlock.
I put that as my game of the year two years ago.
Big news of deadlock.
Big news of deadlock.
Everybody, big news of deadlock.
Valve officially got the deadlock Twitter account.
Oh, wow.
They're going to announce this soon.
You go to at Deadlock.
It's suspended.
because it's like they had to change the rights over or whatever and the person who
owned it was in a discord being like valve took it from me so it's things are happening everybody
things are fucking happening I'm not I feel like if slave the spire two wasn't early access
I probably would have committed to playing it more yeah but it being early access makes
we want to wait for the full thing yeah it's a double a sword where I'll wait and then it'll get
there and there'll be something new and hotter than I need to go play I think of moonlighter
too Andy of course oh yeah same with that it's like I love moonlighter one I love the little bit
I played at review, but I was in a different one.
You tackled the majority of it.
But it's even with the update, I was like, I'll still wait.
When are you going to be done?
What are you going to be done?
That's when I'll jump in.
I was supposed to hopping in mainly because I, like, I'm of two sides of it.
I was close to hopping in and saying, let me see what the new thing is.
But then I go, I don't know.
I just, I experience what I like.
And now I have the knowledge knowing that I love Moonlighter 2.
Maybe I just do wait for the final thing where I think that is a reason why I love early access is,
I get a glimpse into knowing
whether I'm gonna fuck with the game or not.
And then I go, all right,
I'm totally fine waiting for whatever new updates
come through unless you're Hades 2
and I'm putting in 80 hours into
Shirley Access.
I feel like fucked me a little bit
because yeah, I put in,
well actually it didn't fuck me
because I,
the progress carried over,
which actually worked in my favor.
I could just pick up from where I left all.
But that was one where I played
enough of it in that first early access launch
and it was like, all right,
I'll wait for the full release.
And then it's like,
I'm having this weird
sort of like cut up experience
because it's like I played this a year ago
I'm not the biggest fan of that
you know and I understand I'm pro early access
in terms of what it does for the game
but I don't want to be the guy
that's like damn all right I'm gonna hop into the early access
test the game for you and then come back or whatever
I'll just play the thing when it's done but I also like
you know I like screaming for the mountaintops
this game's worth it yeah please support it
or whatever you know
saw some glimpses of promise here but for the most part
this is one you might want to skip or whatever
Also, I'm sorry, rounding out April 1st is
Jufuté's Rodin's guide to Pixel Museum on all the Xboxes.
So if you've been looking forward to that pixel museum, it's here, everybody.
We moved to April 2nd, which I would say is the first day where it's heating up out there.
We start with Darwin's Paradox, PlayStation 5 PC Xbox Series X,
dive into the adventure with Darwin and octopus as endearing as he is ingenious.
Torn from the ocean and trapped in a vast and mysterious industrial complex,
harness his unique talents and abilities
to help him overcome the many dangers and traps
in this captivating platformer and adventure game.
Where are we out with this?
Of course, this one's salted earth for me.
I won't go back.
You teased the Metal Gear,
then you showed me the octopus, you're dead to me.
Yeah, reviews are out right now.
So they're in flux, of course, because they started dropping.
But 74 on Metacritic.
This is a game.
I love that they're calling it a cinematic platformer.
I'm going to add that to my lexicon here
because I don't usually call it cinematic.
good use it lexicon.
Thank you.
I like that.
Yeah.
Just what is a cinematic platform to be?
Cinematic platform to me is like an inside.
I think it is a, a 2D platformer that is more heavily based on the what you're
seeing visual-wise, setting the tone as opposed to like, hey, there's a lot of gameplay
at the forefront.
I guess is what I think about it.
Changing perspectives a lot, maybe.
I just call that a puzzle platformer because I think that is the gameplay.
You know, the gameplay here is solving puzzles more so than the execution of it.
But, you know, I respect marketing.
Yeah.
I respect it.
I like it.
This is one that I've been looking forward to.
I did enjoy the Metal Gear Solid demo.
I like the game.
It is a little slow.
And noting some of the reviews here,
one from Game Informer,
noting that it's like just a little bit slow
when it comes to the hiding mechanic.
I felt that as well as like the octopus goes in camouflage mode
when you wait and hold for a minute.
It is kind of a long,
drawn out experience,
I'm sure,
over a course of a couple hours.
Did you enjoy it more than Reanimal?
Oh.
Oh.
Oh.
Oh.
We had some good laughs in Reanim.
It's really good.
I enjoyed reanimal more.
Okay.
And what I've played with Darwin's Paradox, but I look forward to trying this one.
Okay.
Fair enough.
From there, we roll on and right into Fishbowl.
This is still April 2nd.
There's a lot of April 2nd stuff here.
Fishbowl comes to PlayStation 5 PC.
It's a Gregass game.
21-year-old Aldo lands her first job in a new city and lives alone while grieving her grandmother's death.
I'm in.
Let's fucking go.
The daily choices she makes in navigating life lead to a unique.
journey of self-discovery.
She's grieving. Let's go.
Yeah, you know what I mean? Let's see what the discovery
is all about as we jump into it, go
through it and see what's going to be about Fishville.
I have not paid much attention to it, but
again, that sounds like a goofy little game,
a cozy little game, you know, emotional
little game, then I'm definitely going to kick the tires
on. But sadly, it will be
right on the bench. Because the bigger game
coming out for me on April 2nd is,
I am Jesus Christ. This comes to
PC. Walk in the footsteps of
Jesus in this immersive first person,
of his life from baptism to resurrection,
perform iconic miracles, meet biblical figures,
and explore the Holy Land from Jerusalem to Galilee.
Experience the story of the Messiah, and I am Jesus Christ.
Yeah, this one's been a long time coming.
I can confirm to everyone.
I have it.
There is no embargo.
We're doing a Thursday game cast.
I mean, we know what happens.
It doesn't mean a Fargo.
Well, you'll see what's up.
Gamescast plays, we're doing it.
We're with me and Nick, if he's not in jury duty.
I will be sure to tell you what's going out of this game,
and I will walk you through.
Jesus is life here.
We don't even know what happens.
We don't hear an embargo, yeah.
Very interesting.
No story spoilers.
I can't wait to see.
Is there a hubb?
Are people mad about this one?
Why would they be mad?
I feel like I've not seen the Reddit threads or anything like that.
I think that's got announced a long time ago.
We saw this at like an IGN summer game fest.
And I think that was when all the laughter on Twitter was.
But I don't,
I haven't seen any like angry about it.
Here's my thing is I think with the way they've been presenting it.
They're presenting it as like, yo.
We're making a game about Jesus.
Not like ha, ha, ha, ha, we're making a game about Jesus.
If it was the ha, ha, ha, ha,
game by Jesus, people are mad.
But is it, but he's why?
I feel like they're legitimately like,
we are making the definitive first person Jesus game.
Hold on.
Bring up the gameplay again.
This is the definitive Jesus game.
Why is this man Caucasian, all right?
Let's have the conversation.
Let's do it.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I mean, you're not wrong.
You know what I mean?
You're not wrong.
There's a lack of melanin.
You know the truth.
I think there's a DLC.
If you want to like a Middle Eastern Jesus
this as would probably, but look it right here, right?
Look at this. I get to fight demons or something.
Look at those rain physics bouncing up.
Wow.
I'm excited for Thursday. I'm really really looking forward to this one.
Other games coming out on April 2nd.
You have Tem Tem Swarm, PlayStation 5, PC.
Clean Up Earth on PC.
Morcoa, send to the gods switch PC Xbox.
Zeno Knots 2 on PC.
Modilus Factory Automation.
Is this one for you, Mike, PC?
No, don't worry about it.
This one's not on my list, yeah.
What I wanted to call up for the group was,
cursed blood on PC.
Curse blood is a brutal one-to-four player co-op
roguelight set in a twisted
blood-punk samurai world
where ruthless apes
wield katanas in a revenge-fueled rampage
against the mafia that desecrated their sacred shrine.
Anybody paying attention to this one?
Because it's got the words in their blessed
that I know you like sometimes. We've got a roguelite,
we got co-op, we got samarise.
Yeah, I mean, a lot of those words generally do stuff for me,
but as I'm looking at the gameplay, it doesn't feel like my kind of thing.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I think just the perspective.
Yeah.
Honestly.
Yeah.
He's got that dead nation perspective that I like where I'm like,
maybe I wouldn't want to jump into this.
I think I would have preferred it were it like a third person sort of action game,
especially just because I love the look of, you know,
I love that there's an orangutanang is one of the classes and another one's like a chimp.
And another one's just like an,
like,
I don't know.
I just,
I love the idea of these different, you know,
breeds or what's the word I'm looking for?
Yeah.
Different species, yeah.
I like that they're all kind of different, you know,
different classes or whatever,
but it's a top-down that doesn't really do it for me there.
Mike, you're going to jump in there with the Gironi books?
You know what?
I might put this on my list.
I'm going to put it on my wish list right now.
Because we played Teenage Mutiny Ninja Turtles.
What was the roguide on that one?
We had a really good time with.
And I actually do like the top-down style.
I usually call it twin stick, but yeah, I like that top-down.
I'm a fan of that.
I'm a fan of that.
After that, you got Go-Go-Go-Mistchickums coming to PC, Xbox.
and PlayStation 5.
And then our first super
off the bench
comes from Frantic Josh.
She says,
check out motion wreck
on Switch PlayStation 5,
April 2nd.
Motion rec is a record.
Is it a record
because you're recording?
Oh, this game.
Motion recid.
I'm going to say record
puzzle action game
that uses the power
to record and replay
motion trails
to explore a devastated world.
Use motion rec to unravel
the mysteries of a world
ruled by machines.
You can record the trajectory
of your movements
from walking to jumping.
use stage gimmicks to create and record more complex movements to traverse the world.
And yeah, bless puzzle poppy.
This one immediately I thought spoke to you.
Yeah, no, this one for sure speaks to me.
I forget where we first saw this.
We've seen this before.
It's some indie showcase thing.
And I love one, I love this game's art style, right?
Going for the very minimal, like, eight bit, four bit, like black and white.
I'm playing it on an Atari kind of look to it.
But yeah, I love the rewind mechanics.
And this is another one I would call a puzzle platformer in genre.
Do you think you're going to check this one up?
If I find the time, I was trying to figure out,
because there's another game I played called Alechead.
Yeah, way back in the day.
And I thought it was maybe the same developer
because it looks similar.
It is not.
But I really, really loved Alechead when that came out in 2021 on Steam.
And so I'm sure I'll love this if I gave it a shot.
But it just comes down to time and place.
Sure.
You're also getting Latoni Aztec Cities on PC.
and then Logiart Grimoire on Xbox to round out April 2nd.
We jump to April 3rd.
All will fall on PC.
Shinobi Art of Vengeance gets it Sega Villains stage DLC.
PC Switch Xbox 1 if Tim was here, not neglecting his job, his career, his livelihood.
He'd talk about that, but he's not, so too bad.
A Rats Quest, the way back home, Xbox 1, PC, and Switch.
Guns and Nuns Storming Hell on PC, which is a hell of a title.
Anomily 404 on PC.
space log PC early access
The Weeping Swan 10 days
Of the city's fall
PC
Bad time to be a city
You know
Be falling
You got all the fall
Cities will fall
SCP fragmented minds
Chapter 2 on PC
Early Access
Wasteland Bites on PC
April 6
Pompey the Legacy on PC
And then Evo
Creo 2 has been highlighted
By someone at this table
Yeah I highlighted that one
Step into the world
Of showroo
An island inhabited by
powerful creatures known as Creo
these monsters have existed for millennia
yet their origins remain shrouded in mystery
will you be the one to uncover the truth
begin your journey as a new cadet
what am I looking at? What if I told you that
this game is just Pokemon?
It definitely looks like it!
It's just straight up Pokemon. Evil Creo 1 came out
a while ago I played
not that much of it whatsoever. I played a little bit of it
and I know a lot of people
liked it and recommended when I was talking about recently
like hey I'm looking for a Pokemon like game
I'm getting that Pokemon itch, right?
I need something that's going to scratch that itch.
A lot of people are saying EvoCrio.
So it's cool to see that the second one's coming through.
For fans of Pokemon,
ROM hacks or Pokemon like games,
this might be one for you there.
I'm coming off of,
I'm still playing Pokemon Leaf Green.
I'm at the Elite 4 right now.
So I'm probably not going to jump into this one
because there's another Pokemon-related thing that's coming out.
I love the pixel art.
Yeah, the art style is really cool,
especially in the battles.
The battles look really cool.
Have you ever played Tem-Tem?
I booted up Tem-Tim.
Okay, Pokemon, like,
you can play.
with friends as well.
It's more of like a M.
We really like that.
Style thing, right?
Yeah.
Night Chippers comes to PC April 6th,
and then Card Coder comes to PC April 6th as well.
Then it's April 7th,
everybody.
Not only does Starfield come to PlayStation 5,
Starfield, Terran Armada,
and of course the free lanes,
DLC drops on Xbox, PlayStation, PC, etc.
Of course, you already know what Starfield is.
They might just hit you with a big yawn right there.
No, I mean, I can't wait for Greg.
for Greg to tell me all about this. I'm pretty
interested here. Parksview
Super chats while we're live right now on YouTube.com
slash kind of funny, I don't know, YouTube.com slash
kind of funny games, just like you can and says, I just
finish the Tracker's Alliance DLC and can't wait
for Freelands and Terran Armada. Starfield
is amazing and I hope it gets a new influx of
players. I think aside from my usual
ranting and raving about Starfield, that's
going to be the interesting story for us
to talk about a lot on games daily is what are
the figures going to be? Like, we talk about
Xbox games coming to PlayStation all the time.
Starfield, a divisive one.
right? Like this is one we've heard a lot of opinions on. It did not live up to the hype.
It would underperform in terms of critical expectation, I think, but has clearly found an audience that's stuck
with it. And now to get the most complete best version of the game, knock on wood in theory,
it'll be interesting to see if PlayStation people jump in by it. Of course, we have the usual
look at the PSN right now. It's at the top of the charts. What's that actually going to
transfer over when Matt Piscitella comes out with Sarkana data? I mean, big time developer with
Bethesda, right? A Bethesian that missed PlayStation now coming.
there, like you said, with the Game of the Year
Edition, we'll call it. I think that's a big
deal. I'm excited to see the numbers
and talk about that with you and also see the content,
right? Like, what is the new content? Is Greg
hyped up about it? You know, it's good
if you're excited about it, Greg, because you are
so in tune with this game. Yeah, you know, what we saw
on Bethesda was awesome. I can't wait for it,
so I'm very excited to get my hands on it. I'm bummed
that I will be on spring break when it launches.
But maybe that'll give me more time to play in New York,
but probably not, but maybe, but maybe, but I'll
be talking about it whenever I get the chance.
Don't worry about that. Also,
happening on April 7th, Road DeVos Talk, PC, early access. People of Note, Switch to PlayStation 5,
Xbox Series X, a game I was prepared to go past, but if you want to open up and get me a trailer,
Alec Bobcoe superchast and says, People of Noth on April 7th is one to keep an eye on. The next
Fest demo was awesome. I had seen this bumming around. It's an Annapurna one. After being shut out of
the Noteworthy song contest, Cadence realizes that her solo act might not be enough for the judges.
as she travels across a note
to the Rock City of Doranas,
the EMD Capital, they always give you too much here.
It's an RPG where you're singing.
Yeah.
I play in music.
I played the next Fest demo for this one.
I wasn't, honestly, I wasn't blown away by it,
but it does have like really neat ideas,
specifically how they feed in like rhythm mechanics and stuff
into the turn-based battling, right?
Like, you have different instruments that your crew,
like that your parties bringing in into the battle.
It very much is kind of like what you expect
out of JRP style.
turn-based stuff.
But all themed around music
and all themed around like you being part of this band.
Again, cool ideas.
I wasn't like in love with it by the time I finished it.
Yeah, that's been my thought.
I like, when I hear the idea on paper,
I'm like, that sounds awesome.
Every time I've looked at it, I'm like,
ah, it's not for me.
But I'm glad you don't think it's for you either.
Sorry, Alic Bobko, hit the bricks.
Eco, maybe Echo,
and the Bewitch lands coming to PC,
a switch to and switch on April 7th.
and then it's Naren the Orange Room on PC.
Then Sigma Star, Saga, DX, PlayStation 5, PC, and Switch.
Half-Hood-em-Up,
blast through an intergalactic genre mashup.
This is one of the ones we had at the mix.
Way forward, came in and showed it off.
This is on my must-play.
I'm going to be super excited to get my hands on this one
as somebody who likes a good schmupp and likes a good RPG,
mashing them up in this Game Boy Advance game or whatever
and bringing it over here.
I'm interested to see what we got here.
I thought the previewed well,
a little confusing because they dropped this in so deep.
I'm excited to.
start from the beginning
and see if it clicks with me
if I'll stick it out the whole way, but good stuff from way
forward. Man, the sprites are so large when you're walking around the world.
Yeah, right? Yeah, very interesting walk.
See of Stars comes to iOS and Android,
a game we loved here. Peppered
an existential platformer comes to
Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4 Switch.
Kulo, Niku,
bowl up comes to PC.
Machine Child comes to PC.
TR-49 comes to Switch, and Signal
Zone comes to PC.
Bless you, Andy.
Thank you. You said Kulo, but it's like Japanese, but Kulow is, is, is, but. How would you say this one?
No, I mean, you nailed it, but it just like, it caught me off guard.
It made you sneeze. Yeah, it made you sneeze. Yeah. He's allergic to ass references.
April 8th is a big day because Samson comes out. Samson returns to Ty and Dalston. Remember this?
I'm still unsure what the full name is because releases.com lists is at Samson, colon, a tie,
Ty Dalston story.
And they debuted it that way, but then now on Steam, it just says Samson.
Samson returns to that city, though, a city that shaped him hard.
That's what it says.
Where every fight is close and every escape is earned.
He owes dangerous people more than he can pay, and they're using his sister to force
his hand.
The clock is ticking.
The only way out is through anyone who stands in your way.
This is, of course, from the Mad Max video game devs.
So you're getting an open world run, run, fight kind of thing.
People wanted to be GTA.
They wanted all these different things.
Bless, what did you want?
from it. This is a fun one because I actually got to demo this game. And as we're talking here,
I was trying to find my demo notes and I can't find it in my Google Docs. But basically, I don't
think I ever even got to talk about it. No, yeah, they never did. Yeah. So basically, I got to play
like an hour or so and they did a presentation talking a little bit about it. And they didn't really
like the GTA comparisons. Okay. I think maybe that's just because GTA comes with expectations and
they're like, no, no, no, we're not that size. We're a smaller developer trying to put out something
that reminds me personally more of like a sleeping dogs.
Yeah, especially with the combat you saw of like throwing stuff.
Yeah, the combat is very like hand-to-hand style combat.
You are driving around a city doing odd jobs like it's GTA a little bit.
But it is an interesting setup because you are playing a Samson.
You are repaying a debt to people that you owe.
Every day you wake up, you pick up the phone and they're like, you got to pay back this much today.
And so your day then ends up being, all right, I'm going to go out.
I'm going to do these jobs, make enough money to pay them back for the day.
And that's kind of like the gameplay loop is you're fulfilling this mission so you can make enough money to do this, to do this stuff.
A lot of the missions were kind of basic straightforward.
One of the ones I remember doing was, hey, go to this location, pick somebody up in the car and be a getaway driver and get away from the police.
I did that and that was the end of the mission, right?
There was another one that was basically, hey, go over here and beat up these people.
Like very much pointed to point B.
There was one that was a bit more, hey, go into this location and like, fight through this whole location.
and that was a little bit more involved and fun.
It's one that I'm more,
I'm left with more questions about
than answers, even after playing the game
because I think the environment
looks good.
I think mechanically, I like a beat-em-up game.
It feels fairly simple, but I also think it's neat.
There's like natural open world stuff that's happening.
Everybody's trying to sell somebody on a drug.
Just like real life?
Everybody in this game is addicted to drugs.
And I'm like, man, can we get some more dynamic stuff
happening with these NPCs?
It's the dark world.
It is a gritty world.
the dark, pretty world.
But I like that somebody's trying to make this type of game.
I miss true crime.
I miss sleeping dogs.
I miss the era where many developers are trying to make crime games.
Maybe it's just the car, but I get paying because of driver from it.
Right.
I look at that.
I'm like,
damn,
that looks like a driver.
And I'm right there with you.
I really enjoyed playing those double A games back in the day.
Give me some more.
Let's see what Samson's got.
Yeah.
So April if,
you know,
not that far away.
He kind of reminds you of McGruber.
Yeah.
Yeah.
He's definitely got the very.
very generic look to go on it. Yeah, I know there are more previews out there for people to check out,
but I'm so fascinated by how the world receives this one. Yeah. I do think it could be like a
sleeper little situation. Something we enjoy maybe. Yeah. Uh, Samsung XP Super Chat and says,
I will be playing this in honor of me. Mm, great. They got you. Uh, also on April 8th is
the occultist PlayStation 5 Xbox Series X and PC. And then it's Pokemon champions.
Switch and Switch to, of course, later on mobile. This is the one where everyone,
one will battle. All you do is battle.
It's free to play. You get in there. They got additions.
We don't know how much anything costs, but you can battle.
Kevo writes in and says, I'm excited for Pokemon champions, but still no home update for
ZA and Fire Red Leaf Green.
Bless, this is another preview we sent you off to, the Great White North of Seattle to play.
Yes, and I came back really, really excited to play more. I can't wait for this one.
Of course, go check out the preview with Jake Decker, who is our Pokemon professor.
Professor Jake.
But yeah, it's everything that you mentioned, Greg, right?
It is a Pokemon game more focused around battling.
You have a one recruit a day that you can do where you go in and recruit Pokemon for free.
But if you spend your VP, which are victory points that you earn in the game, you can recruit
Pokemon and keep them.
The free ones that you recruit are only recruited for a limited time.
But you are building a Pokemon team.
You are spending VP to kind of like build their stats and their moveset.
And then you're going into ranked and unranked modes.
Very straightforward.
I compared it to Magic Arena.
Mike, you played Magic Arena.
I think it's magic arena but for a Pokemon
which appeals to me
And this release date is for the Switch
Version specifically
I can't wait for the mobile version
That's the version that I actually really want
So I can play it on the treadmill
You put your switch on the treadmill
I'm not trying to bring my switch to the gym
Okay, sure enough
How many different arenas we're talking?
It's one of my questions
I was asking them if we could like switch arenas
And stuff and they said there's multiple arenas
But it's like
The vibe I get is that it's based on the mode you're playing
Because there's a tutorial in the game
and like the tutorial's in a different arena than ranked.
And those are like really the only two bowls that I got to play.
But I asked them and they were like, yeah, there's multiple.
But it didn't, I didn't get the vibe that you're picking.
Gotcha.
You can pick music though, which I like.
You can one of some of the things that you can unlock in the game with your VP, your victory points.
Custom throw animations for your polka ball.
Victory poses.
I don't know.
No, not even that.
Yeah.
We'll see more when the game comes out.
But there's that.
There's a music.
I played with the Pokemon music from like red and blue,
but in the overview trailer, they showed off more songs,
outfits for your trainers, things like that.
What was the micro-transactions on this?
There are some, but we don't know.
Because this is going to produce money.
This is going to be the card game all over again.
Yes, this is going to be getting a mobile device free to play.
I mean, let's just say it, Mike's in for $20.
Yeah.
If not more.
$20 because you boot it up.
$20 when you boot it up.
I'm pumped for this game, blast, right?
like Pokemon Stadium was so special to me back on the N-Sikin.
More game of like, we're just fighting here.
Yeah, there's a bunch of mini-games that we all love to lick a tongue minigame.
But like the idea of going to the stadium and battling, picking your six versus my six,
I'm very in.
My prediction is that for us that kind of funny, this ends up being our next Pokemon TCG Pocket,
where we all get really obsessed with it for a few weeks.
And then I'm playing it still two years later.
Yeah, exactly.
I'm going after ranked battles when this drops.
I'm very excited.
We try to, like, shoot to the top early and make a fun one out of that.
This is how we get a kind of funny Pokemon tournament to happen.
Where we all have our core teams, where we bring our teams together and we, like, face off against each other.
And I'm excited for it.
We won't have to wait long, April 8th again for Pokemon champions.
You can look for coverage here.
I'm assuming a party mode and et cetera.
Also on April 8th, chain staff comes to PC, Switch Xbox 1.
Incantation comes to Switch Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5.
And the house of Hickma.
comes to PC. We move our eyes to April 9th. Dark Switch comes to PC. Power Wash Simulator 2,
Adventure Time, Pat comes to PC, PlayStation 5 Xbox Series X. And then beyond words comes to PC,
switch, Xbox Series X. This is what I've been looking at. From the creators of Golden Eye and
Time Splitters comes beyond words, the genre-defying fusion of rogue-like strategy and word crafting.
Build powerful combos, unlock upgrades, and master a challenge where victory is spelled one
letter at a time.
So we're getting into a rogue like
Scrabble? And I'm like, huh,
I'm interested enough to check that out.
This reminds me, there's another game.
There's a YouTube channel called Game Makers Toolkit.
The creator of that channel
made a game that is very much like this.
It's not as scrabbly, but it is a word
based roguelite game.
I'm going to find it, but it's
a really good one. That actually has me excited
for this as well. But also, why do we,
why did they lead with from the creators of golden eye
and time splitters? Because it's funny.
Those are big names.
Because I remember what was the rhythm game that we all fucked with from Xbox a couple years ago?
High-Fi Rush.
High-Fi Rush.
You know, it's like when they started off with like the horror games that they made and then jump into that.
Yeah, the evil within.
The game I'm thinking made by Mark Brown is called Wordplay.
Also, yeah, very fun.
If you're looking for one right now.
You can't wait until April 9th.
Can't wait.
April 9th also sees High Above come to PC.
Restore your Island come to BPC.
A planet full of cats come to PC.
wrath aeon of ruin VR brutal edition PlayStation 5 PC PSVR 2
Arcadia Fallin 2 PC switch and then LeW World PC early access
We jump to April 10th tiny bookshop comes to PlayStation 5
Soul Mask crystal fall and Sol Cesto come to PC
And then Skull Horde comes to PC
This is another one I'm calling out that I've seen and enjoyed what I saw
Skull Horde is an auto-battler dungeon crawler
Where you play as a flying skull necromancer
find powerful loot and create overpowered builds
summon a horde of skeletons in a battle
of bone versus flesh
got that vampire survivors vibe to it
which I'm all about I love the idea of
exploring the dungeon unlocking the new card
you know getting a more powerful comeback with whatever I've gotten
it seems like a fun one Mike I don't want to have on
the rag ally ready to go yeah no doubt
build up your horde and go out there and kill some stuff I'm looking forward to
I hope yeah that looks pretty neat yeah
beauty store
Beauty Store Simulator comes to PC as well, Mike.
I don't know if you're in that's a new one.
I love that.
I'm going to do Drain Simulator this one.
I'm very excited for you.
Great.
And then your final game there of...
Oh, let me see if there's any shadows.
Nope, not one shadow in the game.
No, we don't need shadows.
Don't worry about it.
We don't need shadows.
It takes too much time.
Final game of April 10th is Toma Shika,
Xbox Series X, Switch, and PlayStation 5.
Toma Sheika is a fast-paced arcade-style corridor shooter
with hand-drawn animations, precision sound effects,
an upbeat background music.
Another one I put on there,
visual style in there,
and then,
of course,
I know how much you guys
like neon white.
Yeah.
This looks like this might hurt my eyes.
Yeah,
I feel like someone
checked this out.
Maybe it was Roger.
Someone called this game out
a couple months ago
and we brought it up
and yeah,
immediately sparks like,
ooh,
this is sparking some things
in my brain right now
that I fuck with.
So I didn't realize
this was coming out this soon.
I can barely watch this.
But once you get into the flow state of it,
it's like into the flow state.
Oh,
that's a great logo though.
I like it.
I like the style overall.
Again, not a game I would probably play,
but something's going out here that I like a lot.
It looks like I'm on a Japanese TV show.
Which one?
Oh, no, you know what I mean?
Like one of the game shows they put out there,
like the way they're flashing the stuff up there and all that stuff.
I like the way the world kind of evolves.
Everything's kind of on this weird sort of like axis.
Rotated.
Yeah, it's really neat.
I do like the art style,
but I just worry that I'm going to get over-stimulated.
But maybe it's one of those like it's hard to watch,
but once you're actually playing it,
it's kind of fine.
Yeah.
We moved to April 14th.
Finally replaced has come to the Xbox series platform, Xbox 1 and PC.
Exposed the sinister secrets of Phoenix Corporation as reach an AI trapped in a human body.
Set in an alternative, I'm sorry, an alternate 1980s America, scarred by nuclear catastrophe,
navigate a dark cyberpunk thriller in this narrative-driven 2.5D platformer,
blending cinematic exploration with fluid free flow action.
This is one that we've all
I think marveled at some point about the art style of
When I got to play at Xbox at GDC
This year I was like fuck I didn't realize it
It says free flow action there
I didn't realize they were just using Batman
Combat in this 2.5 D platformer
I fucking loved what I played
I want to get into this world
I want to get into this story
Am I alone in that Andy? No you're not Greg
I mean this is one that we've all been looking forward to for quite some time
Great style like it is so sauced up
the visuals are amazing, great sort of depth of field,
but it's got this really kind of neat story happening
with this, you're this character with an AI
that's kind of like controlling the character.
I don't know, it just got like a lot of this weird sort of intrigue
and you're trying to figure out the mysteries of this world
and why you're here and who, you know, who sent you here?
And I don't know, it seems really, really neat.
Yeah, I think it's going to be a great story.
my hope for it. I wasn't expecting
to enjoy the combat slash exploration
platform as much as I did the thing.
Yeah, this one's really cool. It's another one I'll put in that
puzzle platform I can't, but I would add the cinematic
tag to it for the marketing as well
as well, just in the sense of like
so much of it, strength is
in the presentation, but as I'm moving
from point A to point B,
it reminded me of playing inside, right?
Like even the stealth sections were very
inside as far as like, oh, hide behind this thing
as you see the lights coming from the foreground
into the foreground.
Combat I wasn't super sold on,
even though it is that Batman Arkham,
but I think I prefer that in combat in 3D space.
Yeah, because I like to hopping around
and do all that stuff.
But I like a lot of what this game has going on,
so I'm looking forward to it.
And I especially love whenever you are doing your investigation,
and whenever you bring up your pause menu,
it's like on your watch.
So it's all like that.
Walkman.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
It's sort of like this Walkman device,
and it's all diagetic menu,
so it just kind of like zooms into your hand.
and it just got like the perfect sort of style.
Barry, you have something to say?
Greg, you were so excited about replace.
You skipped an entire day.
Oh, did I?
Yeah.
Oh, I did.
Okay, hold on.
Let's finish off April 14 to go back to April 13th.
April 13th was cursed.
Well, I guess we only did April 1.
We'll get April 13th.
April 13th has, before I go,
switch Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5.
I didn't highlight it,
but that sounds like somebody's going to die.
It sounds like my kind of game.
Gunboat God comes to PC Xbox Series X and PlayStation
Station 5.
Become the
all-powerful
gunboat
god and this
fluid shoot
him up.
Carve the waves
as you stylishly
fight hordes of
monsters in hundreds
of quick fire missions.
Transform your gunboat
and upgrade your
weapons,
skills,
and abilities to take
on the giant
challenging
multi-stage boss.
This one was cool.
We did this one
at the mix last year.
I was going to say a while
back back.
Yeah,
that was a cool one.
I mean,
great style,
great visual flare
to it.
And it had a
momentum and a movement
and that sort of like
I could do that better.
I could do that better if I do the run again
sort of feel to it. I enjoyed it.
Are you going to play it here on the 13th?
If it's before, it's before
replaced, I'm going to check it out, yeah.
Okay. By one day.
It's got the pepper grinder look to it.
That's what I thought too, especially going underground.
Yeah, that looks cool, okay.
And then Oceaners comes to PC early access
on the 13th as well.
Even though I've teased you with April 14th and replaced,
let me tease you with a kind of funny membership.
You can pick it up on YouTube.com slash Kind of Funny Games.
Apple, Spotify, Patreon.com slash Kind of Funny.
What you do is toss us $10.
And we toss you everything we do is a live talk show network ad free.
I mean, you get more than 80 episodes of content each and every month.
Plus, you get your daily dose of me, Greg Miller,
in a podcast series called Greg Way.
That's 15 to 20 minutes of me hanging out with you.
On top of all that, you get good karma for supporting an 11 person,
11-year-old small business.
But right now you're not using your membership benefits.
so here's a word from our sponsor.
You finally sit down to game.
Just you, your controller, and zero responsibilities.
When your brain decides that's the perfect time to say,
what if I'm secretly a terrible person and everyone can see it but me?
And suddenly, relaxing and enjoying yourself is impossible.
Instead, your brain grabs onto that thought and will not let it go.
Here's the thing.
That kind of relentless thought spiral isn't just anxiety.
It could also be OCD, a condition that's way too misunderstood and way more common.
than most people realize.
But it doesn't have to be that way.
OCD needs ERP or exposure and response prevention,
which is proven to be the most effective treatment,
and that's where no CD comes in.
NoCD is the world's leading provider of OCD treatment,
and it's covered by insurance for over 138 million Americans.

Welcome
Back, everybody.
We move to April
14th, as I said, replaced already on there.
Also on there, Hades 2,
coming over to PlayStation 5, Xbox
Series X after a stint on PC and Switch.
And then Dosa Diva's one last
meal comes to Xbox Series X, Switch, and
PlayStation 5. Of course, this is
from our friends over at Outer Loop Games,
battle an evil fast food empire
in this spicy narrative turn-based RPG.
Two sisters and their upgradable
spirit mech cook delicious meals,
fight Corpos, build up your reputation
with local communities and reconcile
with loved ones. Of course, again,
outer loop games, making a whole bunch
of different stuff. I always think of Falcon Age.
Most notably, recently would be thirsty suitors.
This is Eka and his team,
always giving very interesting, very quick games
that are always somewhat beautiful.
I love the art.
Twisted.
It's always something special with them.
And so I know very little about,
I picked up the controller,
but it was at a GDC for Xbox,
but it was one of those of like,
I wasn't even worth it because I look at it
and already it smacks of thirsty suitors
in like the way it's up there.
Uncle Hinty pops back up
so they're kind of,
I think,
building in the same universe.
And it's like,
no,
I'm in.
Like,
this is a game.
I'm going to want to play
because I love what they do
and the kind of games they make.
so I'm interested to get into it,
but it's an interesting one I haven't heard a lot of,
not buzz isn't the right word,
but I feel like Thursday suitors
had more people talking about it
ahead of time than Dosa Divas does.
So I'll be sure to see how this one hits when it gets out there.
Was it the skateboarding?
It might have been.
I think it might have been also just that, you know,
easier concept of like, you know,
you'd come back to town and basically you were battling your evil exes, right?
So it was kind of Scott Pilgrim, right?
But now this is a different deal with Mex
and we're cooking food and doing this stuff.
But I'm stoked to see what it's all about.
Last flag comes to PC.
This is one Mike's excited about.
Hide your flag.
Find the enemy flag.
Run it back, then defend for a minute to win it.
Welcome to Last Flag, a fast-paced 5V-5 shooter with show-stopping contestants set in a televised competition
where strategy teamwork and chaos blend in the ultimate game of Capture the Flag.
Mike, tell me why you're stoked.
I love Capture the Flag.
Yeah.
As a game mode, just point-blank period, it's my favorite, right?
And I've had my eyes on this for quite some time.
they've had some betas and some alpha testing.
I've never jumped into it.
I've been waiting for the full release and them ready to rock and roll.
And yeah, it's just a fun shooter that I'm always looking forward to.
I always want to find those Gotham City Impostors that are one that jump out.
The deceive Inks of the world, if you remember that one, Bless.
I really liked that game a lot.
But I forget.
Bless did not remember that one.
I thought he would have.
Yeah, deceiving was a really fun.
I think Blessing would really like that.
No, we've had this conversation.
I remember so to him.
I like that.
I was like, maybe he uses an example of something.
And I was like,
Deceive.
Social deduction, man.
Social deduction.
You never heard of great art style.
Yeah.
And so, yeah, this is one of those of like, this is on my list of like,
hey, can I get the crew together for a night to play this?
I think we'll have a fun evening of gaming and then we'll go from there.
Yeah.
Is this one that's backed by somebody interesting?
I'm thinking of a different one.
That's a great question.
What do you mean?
Oh, is it most?
Is this like a Matthew McConaughey one or one of them?
No, not Matthew McConaughey.
All right, all right.
No, that's a.
Exodus. I'm thinking, I'm gonna look it up.
Okay. Because it's either this or a different game.
No, you're right. Oh, it's a shut up, shut up.
Don't talk. Don't look at chat. Don't look at chat. Nobody got the answer.
Yeah, it is, uh, imagine dragon. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. What? Yeah. What do you mean by
that? Like the guy just gave him a bunch of money. The singer. Yeah, the singer's like
really. He loves games. He's it. He loves games. And I think like is part of the team or a producer or
something like that. Yeah. Okay.
Dan Reynolds.
Shout up to Dan for
video game.
Hell yeah.
Turn that money around.
Put your money.
Take your money and give it to someone
to help them create something.
What do you mean by that?
What do you mean by that?
We're going to run out April 14th here.
Regions of Ruin.
Roongay comes to PC.
We gotta go comes to PC.
Destiny 2's Guardian Games.
2026 is the end event date.
Moses and Plato last train
to Clawville comes to PC.
And Alaska Gold Fever comes to PC.
We jump over to April 15th.
Mongil Star Drive comes to PC, iOS, and Android.
Then cleaning up comes to Switch 2, Switch PlayStation 4.
It's a mic game.
Turn huge messes into sparkling spaces.
Feel the satisfaction of restoring them to order with your superpowered cleaning tools.
The quick, cozy joy of tidying up.
Yeah, this one caught my eye because of the art style here,
giving very fun, cartoony indie, like to a T and some other games that we've seen,
where it's like, oh, it just jumps off the screen and me and the idea of,
Yeah, we're doing more power wash simulator.
Hey, I'm just sucking up everything in the world to clean it all up.
It's always a fun one.
I think people might find this and go, hey, I really enjoyed this game.
Yeah, that looks cute.
I like that.
In a similar vein, art style made me highlight this one for y'all.
Space Man Memories coming to PC.
Space Man Memories is a retro JRP built by one person who loves old stories.
Set in a retro futuristic Japan haunted by ancient folklore,
plays Ichiro, I'm sorry,
Ichiro 94, an astronaut who wakes from hypersleep
to piece together the remnants of a forgotten past
full of wonder, nostalgia, and strange spirits.
Here's what I was getting ready to like,
hate a little bit, because when you said our style,
I was like, I bet you this shit's gonna be HD2D
because I feel like everybody's doing HD2D.
Now that I'm looking at it, even though it is kind of HD2D,
this art style does rock.
I love looking at this.
Yeah, I had not heard of this one until I was assembling
the run of show today, and I put this on my wish list right.
away. This is one I want to check out for you.
I will say though that the
aforementioned Etra 904
the boy in the
cover art, I think
looks a lot cooler. He looks more
like that sort of 80s style
anime, but in here he doesn't
like that doesn't look like him.
You know, like the car, the art on the top
right doesn't look like the boy in the box.
Yeah, but that's classic you open up your
on the car ride home looking at your instruction manual.
You don't look nothing like what you're going to get.
But I hear you, you're not wrong.
It looks like Doom Guy.
Like just Doom guy in a purple suit, you know.
Sure.
I want to check that one out.
It kind of reminds they have Paper Mario a little bit.
H-C-T-D mix with Paper Mario.
Yeah, but like art style influences from like Eastward and
Eastward so beautiful.
Yeah.
Eastward is such a good game.
April 15th also has Valorborn PC Early Access,
Calamity Angels, special delivery on PC and don't lose Agra 1 PC Early Access.
We jumped to April 16th.
It's headlined on this list by Mouse.
hire, everything. All of the Xbox's, PlayStation 5, I have another PlayStation 5 for some reason,
Switch. I think it's just everywhere. Join private investigator, Jack Pepper, on a guns blazing,
jazz-fueled adventure and Mouse P.I. for hire. Mouse combines the charm of hand-drawn rubber
hose animation inspired by the classic cartoons of the 1930s with the adrenaline and action of an
explosive first-person shooter. Mouse P.I. for hire is one we've talked about for a long time.
from its wow, that was an amazing first impression
to is there anything really
under the hood with this game to
Xbox is giving it how long of a direct
to man, that was a great direct
to then playing it and I
am so stoked for this after
playing the preview and I know opinions
are varied but for me it was like oh I don't want
a sweaty shooter I'm not a shooter guy
I'm not even a Doom guy in playing this
and the humor that was in it and the upgrades that were in the
art that was in it I was like damn I can't wait
to play this final game. I love they say you're not a doom guy
as they showed like the
The Cal guys, the Cacadiamins that look exactly like Doom
that I've not seen from this trailer before.
Is this a new trailer?
This is the old trailer.
This is the one with a March date on it before they played it a month.
This is like the most that's looked like doomed to me.
But yeah, I mean, this is one that I can't wait to see how people take to it
because you said it all, right?
Art style was really hitting.
The gameplay feels a lot more straightforward classic first person shooter than I was expecting.
Boomer shooter, which is like more exciting, honestly.
Like I feel like it's become more few and far between that we see that type of game.
And so really looking forward to.
it. But I do think the boss fights are
a lot more inspired and a lot more
inspired by more modern
first person boss fights.
I really enjoyed the sort of
the requirement for pattern
recognition and jumping over those waves
and then staying behind this when that beam happens.
They're a lot more intricate
than I was expecting
and that makes me a lot more excited
for the game. Do you have an estimate of how
long this is going to be? No, I don't think we have that.
I don't think we have anything. Hope it's short.
Yeah, there's a part of me that's like
I just want the game to be great, so it doesn't matter how long the length is.
But I do look at this game and I'm like, I am excited for this.
I would prefer this to be on the shorter side.
I could have sworn that they said like 15 to 25 or something,
depending on how completionist you want to be.
Google, I don't we have to Google.
From playing the demo, I'm like, I hope it's like seven.
I'm having a good time with this.
I don't want to live in this, you know?
I mean, you know, the AI scrape, if I can trust that, is 12 to 20.
I'm trying to figure out if there's anybody confirming anywhere.
Yeah, maybe I'm thinking about an interview that I heard at one point, but this may have been before.
Yeah, they're pulling it from the IGN thing, it looks like.
Stories roughly 12 hours for a standard play through according to this.
Okay.
That's terrible.
Yeah.
That's great.
Cthoooo, the cosmic abyss also comes on on April 16th, PlayStation 5 Xbox Series XPC.
Tomo Dachi Life, Living the Dream comes to Switch to and Switch.
A super chat from Chrono Riggs says
The first week of Tomodachi is going to be unhinged.
Hell yeah.
Yes, it will.
I still cannot yell at Nintendo enough
for turning off the ability to easily share your clips
in screenshots from this.
I mean, you know why they did, though.
Of course I know why they did, but like it's just not going to stop it.
I mean, it's going to stop it.
Again, I think it, if you did, we did a whole preview on this.
There's been so much Charlie Kirk, me.
I've seen so much Jesus Christ.
We've done a preview on this last week, right?
Go watch it.
Me and Roger have put time in.
with it. Of course, now there is a demo out where you can go make. I think it's three
mees and get in there. If you're not familiar, think of, you know, you're making your
mees like in the old days on your wee, but then you're tossing them into a world and it's a little
bit Animal Crossing. It's a little bit Sims City. There's a million things going on there, but
it's putting them into ridiculous situations, giving them lingo, giving them relationships,
watching the whole thing evolve as you watch this little island grow and become more and more unhinged
as Corona Riggs says it. My complaint, of course, yes, is that you know, Nintendo said, okay, cool,
you can do all this and you can do your screenshots
and you can do your videos but you can't share them to your
smartphone or directly to the web
so you need to get that memory card to put it in there
they're trying to make it hard so yes
the people who want to make Hitler and Jesus
and Rush Limbaal live on an island together
can't share that but the people who want to make
that kind of content are going to hook it up to OBS
and make that kind of content and put it out you're really just
stopping people from being like look it's grandma
my Twitch channel when this comes out
I put in a link into
assets and this isn't for Barrett
and all the rest of the Breaking Bad Lovers
out there. Because this post
just had me dying. And I
have been so, I was so close to streaming the demo
but I'm like, I'm gonna wait because this
I'm really stoked to like
be, get really creative
with this for Broadway listeners. It's just a great meme of like
three different me's created of Mike Urban Trout,
Lalo Salamanca and Gustavo Fring
from goats. God, it's so funny looking.
It's gonna be awesome when this drops and we
get really coolie goofy ass content.
Yeah. I kid you not. Like I, this is a game
I've been wanting to play for like over 10 years.
Because I remember when the first Tomodachi life came out, it came out on 3DS.
I never owned a 3DS.
But I remember looking at it being like, this looks fucking amazing.
Like this looks hilarious.
And so when they announced this new one, I was like, hell yeah, now is my time to shine.
And playing the demo, I'm like, oh, man, this is the game I'm most excited for on April 16th.
Sorry, mouse, P.A.
Also on April 16th is Gecko Gods.
PC Switch PlayStation 5.
Explore a forgotten land in Gecko Gods, a puzzle adventure built for curiosity.
climb walls solve ancient puzzles and uncover a lost civilization in a world full of hidden paths quiet secrets and natural wonder.
Yeah, I highlighted this one real quick because this is another one that showed up at a GDC, um, the mix stream, maybe like two or three years ago.
It was like about three.
I think it was the first one that we did.
It feels like six years ago.
I got to play it and like this game was really fun, right?
Like as you can see from the video and as Greg Redd, you're playing as a little gecko and you're exploring and crawling all over and like, you know, it's fun.
It's fun playing as a little guy sometimes.
You know, it's fun
like scurrying around
climate walls and all that stuff
and you're getting all that out of this game
and I love the art style of it as well.
After that, you're getting
Opus Primsin Peak.
Prison Peak, God damn it's the Opus got me
because it's all cap.
Opus! Prison Peak.
Switch PC, switch two.
Aribon, Shadow Legacy, PlayStation 5,
Xbox Series X. Atomic Heart,
blood on crystal, Xbox Series X, Xbox
1 and PlayStation 4. And then
under par golf architect,
PC, switch to Xbox
Series X. It's a mic game.
step into the shoes of a golf architect
as you build and manage your own golfing
paradise. Sharpen your strategy
by designing incredible courses to challenge the
most demanding golfers and watch
your club flourish as you attract
VIP players, hire quickly,
hire quirky staff and hold prestigious
tournaments. Wasburn, get ready.
This is just one of those. Can I get a big
hail? Yeah, right? I'm all
about this, right? I love Planet Coaster.
I love what Two Point is done with
campus, museum, and hospital.
We don't get the fun golf course
simulators anymore, right? Where it's like,
hey, I would like to build a golf course.
I would like to run this. I've had plenty.
Hey, Frontier, you're killing it with Planet Coaster?
We've done Zoo Tycoon. I've done Jurassic Park.
Oh, man. Evolution 3 is great. Let's have a little fun.
Let's build a golf course, please.
And so, yeah, I'm really excited about this because, yeah, this is the dream, right?
I get to design my own Michael Jordaness course and invite all my friends to it.
Yeah, this is going to be dope.
You're also on April 16th getting smash it wild tactical volleyball roguelite PC.
You open that up.
I'll keep going.
City Transport Simulator, 2026 PC Xbox Series X-P PlayStation 5.
Shantytown on PC.
Hello Kitty, Island Adventure, City Town, iOS, PC Switch.
Sintopia on PC.
Lucky Tower Ultimate Switch and PC.
ZPF Xbox 1 Xbox Series X and PC.
The amusement.
Steam VR.
MetaQuest 3 and fun with Ragdolls Plus PC.
What's your read here so far on smash it wild, tactical volleyball?
The launch, there's a lot going on in this trailer.
But I, what's, you know what's funny is like legit, as we're finishing up talking about the golf game, I had the thought of like, man, I wish we got more volleyball games.
Yeah.
So like, I'm looking at it right now and I'm like, this might be speaking to me a little bit.
Okay.
There's just a lot going on like with the menus, though.
Yeah.
Well, it's a roguelite, right?
So, I mean, you got to get your, you got to make your build and whatever.
Yeah.
Get your dick.
Yeah.
to build it. Upgrade your team. Everybody has their own ability. It looks like.
Oh, you can give that character heavy gauntlets. And that might work better for
them because they already have a harder server or whatever. Oh, man. Why is everybody like a
furry? Yeah. You know why. You know why. Do I? Dope. April 17th, it happens. Pragata.
No, Pragmatta. Comes to switch to PC PlayStation 5. It's Capcom's newest IP,
pragmata an all new science fiction action adventure with its own unique hacking twist.
In the near future, the protagonist, Hugh and the Android companion Diana must work together
as they make their way through the cold lunar research station.
We're all excited about it, and so is Verum Dex, who super chats and says, I'm so excited for
Pragmatta.
I think the game is going to be special.
I hope it is, Andy.
I don't know if it will be, but I think we're all going to like it.
I hope.
I think we're all going to enjoy it.
And my prediction for Pragmatta is that it's going to,
it's going to lend a lot of just arguments into the discourse.
Because I don't think the story will deliver whatsoever,
but we'll enjoy the gameplay and everybody will go,
well, then why'd you all hate creams and desert?
You know, for not having a story.
But, you know, I feel like this may be one of those games that may, like,
you know, get people rowdy or whatever.
Because I don't really trust that this story will deliver a whole lot.
I think there'll be some hype moments,
but I don't really expect amazing writing or anything that I've,
based on what I've experienced so far,
but the gameplay is awesome and I want to play it immediately.
I think it was a lot of fun when we checked it out.
100%.
Yeah, I'm right there with you in terms of,
I enjoy playing it.
I'm not expecting, yeah, to be so enraption.
Can I share some insider info?
Sure.
Tell us.
Rane into somebody in the last few weeks who would be in the know about this game
and was talking about it.
And I was like, yeah, dude, the demos are cool or whatever.
And he's like, dude, we've not.
shown shit. Like, what we
showed in the demo is not indicative
of like all the shit that's in this game.
And I was like, huh. That's what I want to hear.
That's what I want to hear. Okay. And so that got me kind of hype.
Okay.
Did we and Diana have more? Hold on.
Yeah. Is it a Mega Man game? Hold on.
I don't know about that. I don't know about that.
It's fucking better me. They tweeted out some Mega Man
bullshit the other day. It's like stop. Stop, Pragana.
Yeah.
It very much feels like, though, yeah, they're playing their cars close to their chest
with this one a little bit.
Hold on. Yeah, I really enjoyed the
active hacking. I didn't think I would like that at all.
And playing on PC,
dragging the mouse at the same time was like
really, really fun. And it's super optimized on PC.
It feels real good.
Also on April 17th,
decolate decoration switch PlayStation 5 Xbox
Series X, Slay all bosses Idol on PC
and then Nipon Marathon 2
Di Jo Boo PC Early Access.
April 20th,
420.
Jay and Silent Bob, Chronic Blunt Punch comes to Xbox 1, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Roon Haven comes to PC, Townsfolk comes to PC.
April 21st, Vampire Crawlers.
Comes to Xbox 1, Switch 2, PlayStation 4.
Deal world-ending combos and blitz through infested dungeons.
Vampire Crawlers, the Turbo Wildcard from Vampire Survivors, is a casual, turn-based deck builder with rogue light elements.
Master the Turbo turn with your own hand of cards.
Dude, I love the demo of this,
and I totally don't disagree with blessing
when I don't think it's the most visually appealing game at all.
Like, I look at it, it's kind of ugly in some spots.
Vampires viruses have always had...
Yeah, yeah, they're staying in that vein.
There's always a different, like,
it feels like they're pulling from six different art styles
at some points,
but once I started seeing the Matrix
and getting certain cards with crazy amounts of,
you know,
getting a bunch of cards that improve your power every time you use them.
So then every next subsequent attack is even more powerful.
I thought it was really, really fun.
And I'm really looking forward to how they've evolved it since the Team Next Fest demo
with all the feedback that they've been taken in.
Yeah, this is a team that has earned my trust.
Honkle knows what's up?
I'm in, right?
You showed me that you all got the formula and you did something fun.
I tried the Steve Next Fest demo.
I enjoyed it.
I'm all on board for this.
This is going to be a good time.
Me too. Looking forward to this one, of course.
Also on April 21st, stage of mythology, retold, obsidian mirror, PC, Xbox 1, PlayStation 5.
Albion Online, Xbox Series X.
Rising Lords, the Pilgrim War on PC.
Phasmophobia, Easter holiday event ends.
The end of the sun, PlayStation 5, below the crown, PC.
April 22nd, Tides of Tomorrow comes to Xbox Series X, PC, PlayStation 5.
From the makers of Road 96 comes a groundbreaking narrative adventure.
Your choices shape the story for other players.
Following your friend's footsteps, face the consequences of their actions,
and choose the fate in this plastic punk world.
Yeah, I highlighted this one because right off the bat,
the art style caught my eye with a sunset overdrive kind of look in color.
But then the gameplay moved in towards a bio shock,
the loop one.
Yeah, the immersive death loop vibe where it was like,
I might want to bring this to the attention of the team
because it does seem interesting.
And I really like the idea of tying in the multiplayer, in quotes,
idea of like, hey, Andy's run did this.
They're showing me kind of like where Andy went
and like I can either follow him or go somewhere else.
It reminded me of that Indiana Jones fall guys S game
where we were running and you would follow everybody's ghost.
I really like this on an immersive sim.
Yeah, you know what I'm talking about is right.
And so I think this could be a really interesting idea.
death loop comes to my mind of like
oh I'd love to see what Blessing and Barrett chose
and how I deviated off their past
where I followed them and I can come into work
the next day be like yo
that was a crazy idea you did there
really didn't pay off for me
I am
that's the one Panama Bis I am shocked
that this is coming out like right now
because I remember seeing this
that we reacted to this
yeah we reacted the trailer and I remember doing the thing
where I read the press release and I was like
that sounds super ambitious
I hope they landed
the fact that it's here and I haven't heard about it
Like, I haven't heard people talking about it.
I did a stream for this one.
And I remember giving impressions when it was another game with Tides in the title during a showcase.
And I was like, oh, yeah.
And I talked about it.
And they were like, no, that's a different Tides game.
But it is an interesting one where I don't know how many people are going to flock to it.
Because you mentioned Death Loop.
We mentioned, like, Bioshock or some of these other games.
But the gameplay reminds me of, like, almost like more leaning toward life is strange with some of these choices.
and then more like stealthy stuff, right?
As far as like, you know, being like,
okay, do I go left?
Do I go right here?
And you are following in the footsteps of people
that have come before you.
It's a really unique idea.
It's a really cool idea,
really unique concept that I think is going to be hard
for them to pull off in the final thing.
But I'm looking forward to seeing like,
can they do it?
Can they do it?
How do they go about it?
And then I'm also curious to see, like,
is the story going to hit?
Because there was nothing for my demo timer.
I was like, oh, yeah, I'm invested in the story.
It's more so like, I'm invested in it to see
what other people before me did in the story.
Now I will highlight Road 96.
I know me and Greg played this a long time ago on.
That was a game that caught my eye
and I actually enjoyed playing with Greg
and playing a little bit more.
I thought that was cool with the decision making
the resetting of like,
hey, you failed, do it again,
and now kind of go out of differently.
I thought that was really good.
So this is kind of a team of like,
I'd like to try their next thing,
see what they got.
Also on April 22nd is Masters of Albion.
That's the Peter Malinu God game,
not to be confused with Albion
online, which is happening on Xbox Series X the
week, the day before.
Then clockwork, Ambrosia comes at PC.
April 23rd,
outbound on PC, switch to
Xbox Series X. Kingdoms return,
time eating fruit in the ancient
monster. PlayStation 5, Xbox
Series X, Switch 2, then
Kieln from our friends at Double Fine
PC, Xbox PlayStation 5.
An online multiplayer
pottery brawler from
Double Fine Productions. Grab your friends to assemble
a team of colorful spirits, then sculpted ceramic battle armor on the pottery wheel.
The size and shape of your pots determine their play style and abilities
work together to douse the enemy's kill.
You guys played this at GDC?
Yeah.
Day of the Devs, right?
Day of the Devs.
I played this at Day of the Devs and completely changed my tune on this one up.
I had a really good time.
I think there's a lot to highlight here, but when we talk about the
pottery party brawler-esque of it all of the fun, on that side of it,
It was fun.
It was an enjoyable time with me and the kiddos of all the double-fine families playing together, laughing, right?
Like, you are set with 4-4 on two different sides, and you kind of meet in the middle to battle over a large pot of water,
which then you'll suck up the water and then run to the enemy team side to put out their kiln, right?
And I thought it was really fun of I would go back on defense, kind of stop everybody from putting water on our side,
while the other ones were jumping over there.
You have three or four different build sizes, small, medium, large.
That kind of all do different moves, have all different special moves.
So you have this fun one, but I think the icing on all of this,
like the cherry on top is the pottery creator, right?
That is so much fun to make your own pots, paint them however you want,
add decorations on them, that it just kind of takes it a little bit to the next level,
making it a fun experience.
But it's got the good bones to it.
Were you the moosh?
No, I let the kiddos lead me.
Wow, okay.
So, yeah, we had a lot of fun.
They were giggling and the headsets yelling.
that me to go play defense, follow them over here.
So yeah, I let them lead.
I think this will be a fun party game for families and anyone out there to give a try and enjoy.
But I think we're going to see a lot of people go crazy on making their own potteries.
I played it as well.
And like I wasn't crazy about the multiplayer aspect.
But I think the pottery building is going to go viral.
I think that's something I was going to be like hot in the streets because I was very impressed
with how easy it was and how much creativity I felt like I could have.
as I was sculpting things, adding little charms,
painting things, dipping it in the paint
and bringing it back out?
Is it, yeah, like, is there a good tactile feel to it?
Yeah.
Is it one of those where you're like, man, I wish the dual sense was, you know.
Oh, sure, yeah.
When it comes to the vibrations of everything, like,
I wonder just how, you know, I mean, if you guys say that it felt really good,
that's awesome because I love.
It just felt very malleable.
You feel in control.
Okay.
Yeah, visually it was stimulating.
Yeah.
Oh, you switch the pin.
and you can see it really pinch the edges of it.
You get that little ASMR.
You switch to the 90 edge and like you're really putting an edge on it.
I thought that was really, really, really done.
I should have taken a picture of my pocket.
Yeah, it was good.
They did a job on that.
But yeah, reminds you of a lot of other multiplayer games we've played before.
I'm trying to think of the one that Ninja Theory did before.
Oh, my God.
Hellblade, uh, bleeding edge.
Like I could probably name a ton of like four before arena battlers that are like just like this, right?
That you've played.
And you're like, yeah, we had a fun afternoon playing that, right?
Like, that's what this is.
We'll see what that means for double fun as Xbox continues to figure it all out.
April 23rd also sees Dragon is dead.
Switch PlayStation 5 Xbox Series X.
Sudden Strike 5, Xbox Series X, PC, PlayStation 5,
Rumbrawl, PlayStation 5 PC, Shapes 2 PC,
DROVA forsaken KIN Android iOS, food truck chef, full course edition, PC and Switch.
Kumi Tante, old school slaughter on PC.
PC, flat out for Total Insanity VR PC early access.
April 24th gets Little Nightmares VR,
altered echoes PC, PlayStation VR2 and PlayStation 5,
and Project Vespairi on PC.
April 27th, my birthday, gets Moomin' Troll,
winter's warmth, switching PC, and Mahu Arms PC.
Then we come to April 28th.
Aphion, how am I saying?
Aphelian.
Aphelion, Xbox Series X, PC, and PlayStation 5,
hunted on a frozen planet.
astronaut Arnia
must brave rugged landscapes and shifting
realities to rescue her wounded partner
Thomas. This action pack,
sci-fi adventure blends, exploration,
traversal, intense,
stealth, gameplay.
This, of course, don't nods.
I previewed this.
I was given a preview code
and I thought
it felt real bad.
Oh. Like, and this was
about... Don't nod you're going to get.
This is about a maybe two or three
months ago.
But it, yeah, the hands, you know, hands on the sticks, but moving, you know, climbing around.
I think visually it was really pretty, but it has one of those, it has that weird thing that a lot
of indie developers and double A developers are kind of running into.
And I, I think it's more and more of an issue is that the art style is really, really nice.
Like it's obviously super high fidelity, the characters look good.
but if you don't have the animation prowess to really match up to that,
then you have that immediate disconnect of like these characters look awesome,
but they're moving in a really kind of janky, lo-fi way,
and you kind of wish in some moments that maybe the art style was less realistic
so that it could kind of match up and make your brain,
make that connection a little bit better.
But yeah, movement-wise, I thought it felt pretty bad
and kind of immediately put it down and was not super stoked to,
get back to it. But I hope
there have been improvements since then. Maybe that was
just a super early build. I know it was, but
I'm not super encouraged after my preview with it.
That's a shame. We're going to space. A lot of space
games. Yeah. This, Matthew McConaughey.
You got
the ex-fiance. Whatever happened with our favorite horror
team, Greg Supermassive. Directive 8020.
Already came out? No, it's coming out soon. Yeah, they got
a new release. A lot of space games. They just released it yesterday, actually.
Yeah, it's coming on in a couple months.
From there, we move on to Diablo 4, Lord of Hatred, the next big expansion, PlayStation 5, Xbox, of course, PC.
I'll be back for it.
You know, I was obsessed with Diablo 4 and then doing Vessel of Hatred review and forcing myself to platinum before that.
Burn me the fuck out.
And even them dropping the new class didn't make me come back.
So I've been waiting.
This will be my return to jumping back into Diablo 4.
Excited to see what they got up their sleeve and what they've reworked.
I think you're really going to like this, Greg.
So, of course, I went down to Blitzerd.
I previewed this, which we had some funky embargoes,
but now it's finally time.
I could talk about the Diablo four side of things, right?
When we talk about adding new classes, you have two.
One is already out, so it's kind of like, hey, have you already played it or not?
The Palat of the Crusader?
What was it?
Yeah, and then now you have the warlock adding into this, right?
And we talked about the warlock coming to all three games,
two are immortal now into four, and kind of the evolution of the warlock of like two is like the early days.
And now four is like the ultimate warlock beast master here, right?
And it's really exciting to see not only the new class is,
the new area is going to be really good.
And eye-catching, I think you're going to enjoy that, Greg.
But the system reworks are really big.
That gets me back into it, right?
We're talking about that awesome skill tree that you know from Diablo four
and all the Diablo's, of course.
But they wanted to kind of take that to the next level and go,
hey, for people like Greg or anyone out there who's already enjoyed so much Diablo
four, how do we get them back in and make it a little more eye-catching?
a little more exciting.
And so they've completely reworked the skill tree
to have even more nodes within it, right?
So instead of your fireball just being a fireball,
now you can make them ice, lightning, and arcane, even more.
So every single skill has more skills within them
that makes it even more dynamic and different, which is cool.
I can't wait.
But we'll go forward to it.
I can't wait.
You can be playing that on your ally, your ally X?
Did you play it on your ally X?
I played it on my Steam deck back.
Really?
Really?
No, I haven't played a play.
I played this one on my handheld, yeah.
I'm a little worried.
They won well.
Yeah.
I mean,
I'm a run well.
I protect my handheld.
What do you mean?
Super Meat Boy,
for example.
I didn't want to play Super Meat Boy on my handheld because I'd be jamming them.
Yeah,
you know,
I want to protect it.
You need to look into,
you know,
how you're handling.
Because I mean,
like,
the guy who broke my Y button.
Well,
I've never had a problem with that Y button.
This guy's jamming it up.
Okay,
but Mike's the guy that when he first started playing keyboard mouse is that I have blisters.
Like,
from what?
Getting a hold of it.
Is it holding that mouse too hard?
Nobody holds a mouse that hard.
Don't judge.
I'm afraid.

Woo
That good
You did
Yeah man oh my god yeah
I mean, Roger played it too.
Roger loved it.
He's dead to it.
This just seems like it's going to hit and deliver on everything we were hoping for.
For anybody who played Returnal or for anybody who saw people play Returnal and say,
nope, not for me.
A little too difficult.
I'm not trying to bash my head into the wall and have my runs end and then go like,
God damn it, dude, you're really going to punish me that hard right now.
This game is a lot more approachable.
It's still difficult when you're running around as Rahul Koli.
dodge in and trying to get away from
enemies and things like that. But
from the approachability
side, there are so many permanent
upgrades and ways to make
future runs easier for you.
And more importantly,
it is going to, I think
it's really going to hit with the story. That's the
biggest takeaway that me, Roger had. Of course,
we were expecting returnal gameplay,
which is already S-tier.
But what it's doing narratively
and the way that they, the
cut scene that they ended,
our demo with
really, really felt like we were
watching, it felt like I was watching
the pilot episode of a new HBO show
where you check it out and the pilot
ends with this cliffhiring, you're like, oh shit,
I think I'm fucking in. I am really excited for what is going to happen
narratively here, where Returnal was a very kind of
passive experience and it had an awesome story, but
told in very kind of, you know,
non-traditional ways.
This is definitely going for, all right, how do we
evolve our formula, not only gameplay-wise, but narratively, you're going to, whenever you die,
you come back to the home base, you talk to all the NPCs, they're going to give you more
info, you're going to learn more about them, you're going to pick up notes and you're going to
come back with more information, and it's just like, I could not be more excited for this video again.
I can't wait, that's music to my ears. Of course, you have a great preview up with Roger,
like you said, hosted by Bless. Everybody checked that out from Gamescast last week.
Also on April 30th in Konbini, one store, many stories, Xbox.
Series X switch to PC.
Many Stories is a cozy slice of life game about running a small-town convenience store
inspired by early 1990s Japan.
Meet regulars, stock shelves, and watch quiet, everyday moments turn into meaningful stories.
From the synopsis there, you know it's a Greg game.
I got to play this at GDC at the Xbox event two years ago, maybe three.
I forget what it was and liked what I played there, but I was very concerned if we'd actually
ever see it come out.
So having an April 30th release date, I will be there.
Very stoked to stock this.
find those stories. This game
lent to a really funny
kind of funny moment during one of these
preview things where we were talking
about some sort of management sim game
or some convenience store thing and Mike said
oh it reminds you of Incombeni and Blessing
was like what? It was what it was a
reaction where I think those Incombeini trailer
and then like as soon as it popped up you and Mike were both like
Inconveni and me and Tim were like
How the fuck do you know? Yeah why do you know Incombeni?
What's going on here?
Means convenience store in Japanese.
It's going to be very cool.
Yeah, very excited about this one.
This one should have some heart.
I think the narrative is what's going to get people right.
We see so many simulator games and it's easy to be like, hey, I've already done that right.
But this one, I think is pushing the narrative.
And I think that's what-
And that's what draws me in is that I think there's an, I always watch you with those Sims games
or simulation games and go, man, I'd like to do that, but I don't want that much.
Where this seems like a nice balance.
They're like, stock the shelves with the soda, sure.
Do the stories.
It's not strictly from the grind up, make your card shop go.
Beautiful art style.
too. Yeah, yeah.
It just makes me go, I want another seafood.
Like the shading looks so similar.
Speaking of art styles.
Oh, I think you're going to say, speaking of slow clap.
I was like, what?
Here they are.
No, Invincible versus out that day as well.
PlayStation PC Xbox Series X.
Invisible versus is a brutal superhero 3V3 tag fighting game set in the Invisible
Universe where you can battle to the death as a team of fan favorite characters
in iconic locations.
Blessing, are you just going to be happy to have this out so you don't have to be
asked all the time as the fighting game guy.
Like, what about Invincible?
Yeah, I feel like it happens every other week of like, oh, yeah, that Invincible game, right?
But I am looking forward to this one.
They announced Conquest the other day, and so all y'all are fucked because I'm made in
conquest, let me tell you.
I was really considering challenging you, so I'm glad to know, I'm fucked that.
No, I think this will be a fun one, right?
Like, it's, I think it's so interesting that it's an invincible fighting game because, you know,
we often talk about the marriage between IP and video game.
Oftentimes talk about it, right?
and Invincible is interesting because I'm like
Are invincible fans gonna show up to a fighting game?
Our fighting game fans gonna show up to a invincible?
But as long as the game's good,
then I think that's the main thing that matters
for gaining an audience to it.
And I like a lot of what they're doing, right?
It's a tag fighter made by people who worked on Killer Instinct.
It has a lot of those combo systems in there.
Has a lot of violence reminiscent of like a mortal combat,
explode people's heads,
throw people to the moon, all that type of shit.
And so I'm really, really excited for it.
I hate that's coming at the same day as Soros
because I'm more excited for Saras,
but hopefully by that time
I would have beaten the review code
and then I can just focus on Invincible Versus on the 30th.
$50 for this game.
The Avatar game, 30 bucks.
Which like, man, undercutter.
The Ws keep coming with the Avatar game.
Up next is Busbound.
Actually, Adorable Adventures, PC,
Xbox Series X, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5,
and then Busbound is a mic game.
PC, Xbox Series X, Xbox,
PlayStation 5.
Step into the driver, Seaton, Bus, Bound,
the latest title from the creators of Bus Simulator 21.
Explore a Vibrant City
behind the wheel of an officially licensed bus
and helped transform it
into pedestrian friendly paradise one stop
I hate those rip off
fucking got I have the real bus in there
Yeah I highlighted this one of course
We did a sponsored stream so you take this with a grain of salt
But myself Kevin Joey and Nick loved this experience
It's a multiplayer game as well
The city is vibrant and huge
Very giving giving like GTA vibes of like
We're RPing and I'm just driving the bus
But you get to create your own
own bus routes throughout the city.
You get to run the whole entire bus fleet.
You'll jump on.
You can be the dispatcher and kind of organize everything.
You can jump into the bus.
There are real life buses here, which is very impressive to see.
We set up the wheel.
It was a ton of fun.
Not many people know.
My father used to drive the bus.
I love driving the bus in his later retirement years.
Did the bus rodeo.
Now, if I give one recommendation to bus bound, put the bus rodeo in this.
The bus rodeo is where you.
you invite all the top drivers from around the state to come down and do the ultimate bus
challenge.
It's a who's who.
Right?
It's a who's.
And then the winner gets a big belt buckle.
Oh.
You won the bus rodeo.
Big Mike always wanted to win the bus.
Oh, man.
Bell buckle says,
keep an eye out for this one.
Do you guys know a group of buses were called a fleet?
A fleet?
I didn't know that.
That's really neat.
Rounding out April 30th and your month.
You are also getting Winks Club.
The Magic is back.
Switch PC, PlayStation 5,
perennial dusk, switch to switch, amnesia rebirth, switch switch two, deep rock galactic
survivor, heavy duty expansion, Xbox series X and PC, and Mullet, Mad Jack on Switch.
And those ladies, gentlemen, and NBs are all the announced dates for April games coming out.
Yes, there will be more. I'm always interested again. We're using releases.com, an amazing website.
There's a few looks like it, maybe got left off. Jason, oh no, this is a lot today.
Let's just toss in there. Jason says, Tombwater is a 2D soul slash.
This is a super chat.
Zelda inspired indie out today.
Has anyone checked it out?
Between that and Super Meat Boy and Slay the Spire, I don't know what to pick up.
I did not hear about Tombwater, but out today.
I'm looking at it right now.
Mike in a super chat says, check out Alabaster Dawn.
Cool pixel.
But that's not this month.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
We know Alabaster Don.
This is the people who did a crosscode.
Yes.
And this is what led me to play that because Andy's like that's so amazing you should do that.
The crosscode demo or the Alabaster Dawn demo is fucking.
fucking sick.
The combat feels great, but the art style is
one of the, it's, they just
really, really crushed the idea of like,
this looks like a 2D sprite, but it's a 3D
object. Like your characters are
3D, but they look like
their 2D sprites.
It's so fucking sick.
This game rocks. And then final super
chat about games we've missed. Chaos Killer
X7 says it wasn't mentioned, but really
looking forward to cursed words on April
2nd. It's a great boggle style
blotcher-like. That has a great
potential, to be honest.
Boggles the mind. Yeah, it's more of that
word play stuff up there, so hell yeah.
I'm all about that. I'm looking at that. And that
officially, there's every game with a date
in April. If we
missed your game, let us know in the comments below so
people see it, but also more importantly, let us know what
you're excited for so we know
