Morning a mic.
Great games daily.
Great to see you starting the day off strong.

Gettys.
Very excited for this.
What games are coming in August?
I want to know.
And we also got.
the NYCHA rifle, Andy Cortez.
Pro Jank Fitty.
It's finally here.
Oh yeah, it's finally here.
About to play some Aussie rules.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Get hyped everybody.
Of course,
if you're watching live,
you can be a part of the show,
super chatting in over on YouTube.com,
so that's kind of funny games.
Remember, you couldn't do this without our producers
over on patreon.com slash kind of funny.
So thank you to Carl Jacobs,
Omega Buster, Delaney, the psalm-twining,
and lax nomad.
For now, let's begin with topic of the show.
Tots, tuts, dots, dots.
It's every game coming out in August.
Of course, we've done this many times before.
I have a list that I compiled by hand to some extent.
Wow.
I went to Releases.com.
I also went to game informer.com.
I also went to my personal Steam library calendar where it gives you game suggestions.
Oh, right.
And by hand, I pulled all the games and looked through every single trailer for games that are coming out.
Curated by bless, but mostly game informer and releases.com doing the bulk of the world.
So shout out to those sites.
Since I'm hosting this for the first time,
I want to make it fun.
I want to make it interesting.
I'm going to task us each with giving out three badges.
Love them.
Through the duration of this.
As we're working our way through,
I want you to give out a most anticipated badge,
right, for your most anticipated game.
The game you're most curious about
could be something that you've already known about
that you're curious or something that you learn about today,
something that you're most curious about.
And then a badge for didn't know about this wishlisted.
A game that you're learning about
day there you add into your wish list that looks neat to you. And I also want to task the audience to
super chat in with your picks for again most anticipated, most curious and game that you're wishlisting
here today as we work our way through every game coming out. I love that. Can we also help friend
of the show? Yeah. Paris Lilly, who currently on fantasy draft has three open slots. He's the only
Gibroni in the whole fantasy draft team that is like just holding onto these open slots. Hey, Paris,
if you're listening or watching out there, we are playing a game to win. Please participate.
I mean, why do you want him to participate?
If you want to win.
Parrish is my boy.
If anything, this is good for us.
I do.
Less competition.
I mean, does he have money left?
Yeah, he's got money left.
He's got a lot.
Fuck yeah, I got Star Wars Zero company.
Yes.
You told no one to bid for it.
I was thinking about it.
I'm going to be honest.
I didn't expect anyone to listen.
I'm so happy because I got played on that one, Andy.
And then I played myself back.
Oh, here we are.
Oh, I remember that.
Yeah.
I do remember that story.
Oh, I'm so happy.
I think I bid for it.
Right now, Mike 103.
I remember.
currently leading
103 points
but I got a problem
that's your ceiling
I got a problem
because yeah here's the deal
at fate's end
where are you
where are you
at faith's end
where are you
where are you at
I mean it looks like
Tim was able to bid by himself
nobody else bid for it
Tim bid
I'm trying to find the number
you bid three dollars
that's all I had
damn
I was gonna say that's a humble bit
oh I guess I didn't bid for it then
I think everybody else is full
I'll say Andy bid for Moral Shell
and grave seasons last week
where am I at? How am I doing?
What's up with Avatar?
Oh, Avatar, why?
Damn, I feel like some of my points went down.
I thought Avatar was going to do better.
Yeah, more people keep playing shit.
Stop, guys.
Yeah, I'm glad that people kept playing Adventures of Elliot
and it went down from 12 to 10.
What's up with people not reviewing Delta Room Chapter 5?
I'm going to be honest.
I was thinking about this because I looked at this the other day.
I was like, oh, there aren't reviews.
I was like, I wonder why that is.
I do wonder if chapters three and four together was a different situation because it all like packaged the first four chapters together.
So people like kind of review that as like a bigger bundle.
But before chapters three and four, I don't think people were individually reviewing chapter one and chapter two.
And now that this is just another individual chapter coming out, I think that kind of bit you in the ass there.
You remember when Slay the Spire to you came out in early access and then all of a sudden open critic decided they didn't want to.
No more.
They didn't want to do reviews for early access.
access games. Hey, but you know what? You came up big with
Denton Attack. You learning about it live was
one of the best moments. Oh, so good. When is the
games industry going to stop fucking me?
You can't do that.
You can't do it. You can't do that.
Review Delta Rune chapter 5.
All right. God dang.
All right, enough about this. The marble to
go on. We're going to get to that, right?
Yeah, we're going to be about that. Okay, we'll talk about that. Yeah, we'll get to.
I have some shenanigans that will go down.
So just keep an eye out for it. In the phoenixer critic?
Yep. All right. We'll see.
Yep. I will be an asshole.
Well, I'm looking to win, Andy.
I don't know where you're at,
but as the top dog returning champion here,
I'm going to make some phone calls to some people I know.
Oh, okay.
And I think I'm going to secure this win.
Okay.
All right.
August 3rd is the first day of August that has releases.
Street Fighter 6 is getting Yasmin DLC.
You're also going to get anomaly president for PC early access,
and you're getting flow of war for PC.
August 4th, though, is our first big day
because we're getting Beast of Reincarnation.
for PS5 Xbox series X-N-S and PC
in a post-apocalyptic Japan,
a land ruined by corruption
and crawling with monstrous beasts.
Humanity's last hope may rest with Emma
and outcast cursed as a blighted one
and coup her loyal canine companion.
I want to start this one off here.
Tim, start us off.
Most curious.
Already giving a badge out.
All right.
This early in the game.
Very curious for this one.
I know you did the preview
and I finally did listen to it.
So I was very, very excited for that.
I am a little concerned about how big it seems, but.
They said at least 30 hours.
It's a lot of hours.
It is a lot of hours.
That's a lot of hours for how curious I am.
But definitely want to see the reviews for this.
And yeah, the badge of curiosity.
It is yours, beast of reincarnation.
Wow.
You got it.
I feel like at the beginning of the year when we did the Xbox developer direct and they showed this game off,
it was a lot of hype.
I feel like there was a lot of hype and excitement.
Is that still here, Mike?
I think so, bless.
I think the world likes to say that they're burnt out on these souls like action RPG games that we always see so many of.
But there's something about this one, whether it be the nature, the of course title of just Game Freak attached to this as well.
I think there's an excitement factor where it's like, hey, people loki want to try this and see it succeed.
Because when we do get a fun action RPG game that succeeds, everybody really celebrates.
out and I'm looking for more of those.
Andy, are you better for this?
I think it's got all the sizzle that I want.
Anytime you can add a bunch of
a bunch of sauce and cool style
to one of these action RPG games.
And then you got kind of these turn-based
or like, not turn-based,
but very timing turn-based sort of mechanic with the dog.
All that stuff looks super sick.
Yeah, I'm super stoked for this.
Absolutely.
Yeah, I'm right in line with you guys, right?
After my preview, I came away from it
pretty positive enjoyed what I played.
I think there's a Mike during that preview, I think you might have expressed a little bit
of like, man, there's so many of these action games.
Am I still going to be hype for this one?
I might be feeling that a little bit with you, but I think we've had enough time since
the last one, because I can't even think of what the last one was as I'm sitting here.
There's where wins meet.
There was last one I played, it was Neo 3 for me.
Oh, there was Neo3 as well earlier this year, yeah.
Dino Blade.
Dino Blade, of course.
Dino Blade.
But yeah, I'm hoping that once we get this one,
I'll be right in the mood for it and I'll be excited to get into it.
The next game we have on the list for August 4th, Big Walk for PS5, Switch 2, PC.
Big Walk is an engaging cooperative multiplayer game centered on the themes of teamwork and communication.
Join your friends in an expansive open world filled with various challenges, intricate puzzles, and intriguing discoveries.
Of course, this is made by House House, who made Untitled Goose Game.
Jackly, right, bless.
Mike, what does this do for you?
Yeah, I think there's just a charm and a whimsy about this game that gets me really, really excited from, of course, the character design that kind of just does not look quite right on the world designed around it.
And it's so much fun.
I got to preview this quite some time ago.
But, you know, we have a lot of these games in the friend slop category.
But I think when you put a team like House House on something, there is a little bit more, I don't know how I'd describe it.
But I think the puzzles are going to be a little bit more than you would see on just a normal friend Slop game.
When you're solving these together and using the actual world and the gameplay mechanics using the voice chat that, you know, we here at the studio don't get to really truly take advantage of.
But those playing at home with their friends, if they actually use the game chat and not Discord, there is a fun kind of really awesome experience to be had, losing the voice of your friends, using walkie-talkies, and solving this really fun puzzles.
I think you're going to like you, bless, especially you and I love Portal.
Yeah.
you know, you get that puzzle fun, you're going to get it in that.
I'm really, I'm, you're selling me on it.
Yeah.
Because, yeah, like, we talk about friend slop a lot.
And I don't look at this and think friend slop necessarily.
You know what I mean?
This, the environments look so good.
The, this game is taken a while to come out, right?
We learned about this, I think, at least over a year ago.
And it coming from House House, that's a studio that I do associate with a certain
amount of charm and, um, quality, right?
I mean, they want a game at a dice awards for, uh, untitled goose game.
Yeah.
And so I have higher expectations for this than say I would for,
a game that might have been announced like three months ago that they're like, oh, we're coming out tomorrow and it's going to be $2.
It's like no.
And you control each arm with different button presses.
So like we were doing hand signals at each other from across different mountain peaks as you see there.
We were holding up light bulbs to try to see if you could see us and what to solve.
It was really, really fun.
Yeah.
And we were saying 2023 TGA's is when this was revealed out.
So it's been just sitting for a while.
That gives me higher expectations for what is doing as a co-op puzzle adventure game.
This is the game that during the production meeting we were talking about doing a big group stream.
for it? Yeah, yeah. How many players can you do?
Up to eight players. No way. Yeah, yeah.
That's kind of sick.
And then we move on
to Kinseed for Xbox 1
Series X, Switch, PS4, PS5.
In that same day for August 4th,
we're getting Korea, IL2 series
for PC early access, hell slave
two judgment of Arcon for PC,
liquidation for PC,
and then one final one I have for August 4th,
Kill the Shadow for PC.
Kill the Shadow is a detective game with
multiple endings, featuring 2.5,
D pixel art and semi open world exploration and investigation.
Play is Lucas, a former police officer alongside a mysterious shadow who can see the past.
Remember, every choice you make will change the fate of countless characters.
This is one I wanted to highlight real quick, probably because I just really like the art style of it.
It has that pixel art presentation, the 2.5D look that we're seeing a little bit more and more nowadays between things like HD2D,
but then also even earlier this year we got replaced.
I was just saying kind of giving replaced looks too.
Did you end up finishing replaced?
No, I'm right near the end of it, though.
Yeah.
This is one that stuck out to me for the presentation.
Also, I do like a choose-your-own-adventure.
I like a game where your choices dictate what happens in the world and the story.
And so this just looks really neat to me for that.
Maybe if you could change your fate.
If you could fucking change your feet.
Let me tell you some.
August 5th, that's the only impression I got for today.
August 5th, we get Fields of Mysteria.
for PC. It's jumping out of early access, August 5th, Andy.
Huge. So stoked for this one to finally see what the end product is. I haven't really hopped in since I put in, I don't know, man. I played the shit out of this game during early access. Got really addicted to it. It was the perfect before sleep game on my steam deck. I had an awesome time with it. Really excited to see how it evolves. Juniper has a baby. I hope it's my baby.
I love Juniper.
I love Jennifer.
She treats you like shit to him.
I love it.
It's my favorite.
It's my favorite.
Yeah, I really, really stoked about this one.
It's just, it's an odd one where it's not just, it's not just like Stardue Valley like.
There's obviously a lot of anime influences and I love the sort of 90s art style, 90s
anime art style that all the character key arts have.
But a lot of adventure, a lot of going into minds and, uh,
uncovering secrets about this sort of fantasy world. It's really, really neat.
Hell yeah. We then get gun stoppable for Xbox
Series X and PC. What a name. New category for the coolest name. That's great.
I like that. Add that batch. Coolest name. And then
Acetory for PC is another one that I've highlighted here. A note here
it launches August 5th for PC, August 12th on PS5, Xbox,
PS4 and Xbox 1. And then 2027 for Switch 2. And so you get it. Yeah, I played a
Steam Next Fest demo of this one a while back
of really high quality. Very, very nice
polish on it. It's a 2D
side scrolling, awesome pixel art, combat and
movement, animations. It's awesome.
It's really, really neat, yeah.
This is my wish list. This is also my wish list.
Didn't know about this wishlisted.
Yeah, Bless and Tim are giving this the badge. Didn't know
about this wishlisted. Looks really cool.
Like Andy mentions, real cool 2D art, 2D pixelized
art and then yeah the action of it looks fun i the streets yearn for a katana zero return oh my gosh
like where is that you're telling me it's been seven years it's been too long since katana zero it's
my first year it kind of funny when that came out but i'll take any any two-d action pixelized game
that has good good movement i'll i'll take it and then we move on to august sixth we get copy castaway
for pc we get liza p complete edition for switch two oh that's gonna run 60 frames but
second on Switch 2. Yeah, dude. And then we also get Marvel Tocon
Fighting Souls for PS5 in PC, August 6th.
Assembly your team of legendary Marvel characters
and the ultimate 4V4 tag team fighter from PlayStation Studios,
Arc SystemWorks, and Marvel
games. Tim, you have something on your mind
with this one. Yeah, bless, you've been playing it a lot, right?
This weekend was the open media. Yeah. Tell me
it's going to suck. You're fucked, Tim. This game is going to rock.
This is my most anticipated back. It's my freaking counterpresenter.
Oh, really?
And I was more because I didn't think
it was actually going to come out this year.
Oh.
But there was also, when there were other tests, right,
there was some initial feedback of people
not really feeling it at first,
but it seems like they really listened
and got their shit together.
They got their shit together.
Can you drop a counterpick?
No.
That's what Mike's trying to figure out,
I know, with duskbloods.
If you win the season,
then you get to change a rule,
I think that was the thing we decided last time.
So he's got to win the season to him,
then we can drop counterpicks.
This game is going to be fucking.
and awesome. I love playing the beta
over the weekend. It's been fun
now getting more access to
the character roster. They didn't release
the full roster, but
a lot of the characters, I think maybe even most of the characters
were playable over the weekend, and let me tell
you, playing as Blade. Let me tell you
something. Who are you meaning? So you were mainly
Blade? It's a very fascinating game
because it's 4V4, but
you only get one health bar.
And so you could play it
as just one fighter if you want
to and have your other three partners being just
assists. If you want to, you can get real good at all four of the characters and switch back and
forth, or switch from character to character. I had on my team, Miss Marvel, who I think
might be my main main, and then I have Blade as kind of my secondary main, and then I had, I'll
switching the other two, because I couldn't find another character that I felt super comfortable
with, and so I was just using them as assists. Green Goblin is in this game. He's very projectile-based,
and that was really fun to use, kind of like a trickster kind of character. It's like, oh, he'll throw
not a battering, but it looks exactly like a battering.
A green goblin battering.
And then he'll throw a grenades and all this shit, right?
So he was fun to use.
And then I had Iron Man as well for the projectile stuff.
But then eventually switched out Iron Man for, I was going to call him MF Doom, for Dr. Doom.
Dr. Doom has like a laser from the sky that he'll summon.
And if the opponent is standing too long in that laser, they'll get blasted from the sky.
Really, really fun variations you can have with the different teams available for this game.
And the star of the show here is.
is the presentation.
It is, if you've played an Arc System Works game,
if you played Dragon Mo Fighters,
you played Guilty Gear, you kind of know what to expect
when they are on their highest level
of creativity and production here.
And that's exactly what they're bringing.
The music's awesome, the visuals are really pretty,
the locations are cool, and the dynamics
between different characters of Miss Marvel,
if she's the main on your team,
your ultimate move is called, I think it's called Assemble,
where all the characters kind of join forces
and attack the enemy team or enemy player.
And when Miss Marbles your lead on the team, she's like, I've always wanted to say this, Avengers Assemble.
And it's like, there's an energy and a charm to it that really, really works for me.
So highly looking forward to Marvel Tocon Fighting Souls.
It is my most anticipated badge that I'm giving away.
We then also get August 6th we're still on.
Pigeon, a love story.
That's coming to PC, iOS, Android on August 6th.
And then Restory on PC is coming August 6th.
Restory lets you run your own electronics repair shop in one.
Y2K era Japan. Fix iconic pieces of 2000's tech like cell phones, video game consoles, including
officially licensed Atari systems, handhelds, digital pets, home appliances, music players,
cameras, and more, all while hearing the unique stories of your customers and making
meaningful decisions that influence a branching storyline. Restory combines tactile repair gameplay
with the relaxing atmosphere, shop management mechanics, and a cast of memorable characters.
I'll stop there. Does this do anything for anybody? Man, this is my wish list, right here?
I was going to say this game looks really cool.
Yeah, I play this on Steam Next Fest.
It's a fun time.
Like the power wash sim zone out and kind of complete tasks,
you're going to like this one.
It's real cute.
Hell yeah.
So Andy's giving it the wishless badge.
Yeah, that's really, really neat.
I love the art style.
Art style is cool.
I love that you're getting some officially licensed products from Atari.
They're shadows.
They have shadows.
They have shadows, which is really big.
This stresses me out.
I don't know that these type of games are made for me.
No?
I see that.
I'm like, no.
It's interesting because I feel he's supposed to do the opposite
That's when it's like I get that I'm like Kevin
Can you just
For me please
Next game we have for August 6 is
Sovereign Tower for PZ
Play is the sovereign of a magical tower
In this story rich round table management RPG
Recruit eccentric knights
Assign quests and balanced egos
Whilst carving out your kingdom's destiny
I don't know if this necessarily
speaks to anybody here
But this is one that can easily see people
in our audience looking at and being like, no, wait, this might be my type of shit.
It looks cool.
It looks really cool.
It's a management style game.
It seems like it has a lot going on.
It seems like I got to try this one.
Yeah.
Are you giving it the badge?
I forget if I had a got to try it one.
No, because this is like this.
I mean, if I didn't give the wishless one to restore, it would have been this one.
Fair enough.
More games for August 6.
You got Iron Nest Heavy Turret Simulator, Ambrosia Sky.
Act 2 gets a free update.
Dig, Dig, Die for PC.
Obacodoro 2
Chase and Seek for Switch and Switch 2
Good job, bless
Thank you
Went straight into Opicodoro
I'm really lock in for that
Monsters are coming for Xbox
That game's already out for PC
Spiritstead for PC
Montaby for Switch 2
Switch Xbox consoles and PC
Echo Breaker for PC
A lightning fast precision speed runner
Where you pilot an armored rig
That can manipulate time itself
Every second matters
And going faster means risking
everything. This is one that I've highlighted for the neon white fans of the world. It looks like it might
scratch that itch of getting to the end of the level the fast as you can and the art style looks sick.
It's more, we're an audio listener, it's more top down. It's not first person like a neon white.
It's almost like has a isometric sort of view. Kind of like one of the main modes in Kirby Airwriters
last year. Yeah, actually. That's a really good call out there. And it looks like the type of game that
was a first-person shooter
or a first-person game
and then it got a mod to change the camera style.
Like it looks so, there's wall running
and things like that. Yeah. And then
to close out August 6th, you got Route 16
R for Switch and PC and then Spooky Spirit
Shooting Gallery for Switch 2. That's
already out on Switch. August
7th, you're getting Expeditions Samurai
for PC early access, rogue
eclipse for PC and grain rot
for PC. August 10th,
you're getting twirl and that is
that's an acronym. So it's TWI.I.R.
for PC and then you're getting Colt of Pin for PC and Pax Autocratica.
Autocratica, thank you.
I was staring out. I was like, I don't know this.
August 11th, you're getting Agent 64, spies never die for PC.
Embark on an action-packed tale of espionage.
Fight armed guards in an epic or in epic over-the-top shootouts.
Free civilian hostages, steal secret plans, and don the occasional disguise.
sneak past Hitman while completing each mission's objectives in any order.
If you're not watching the video, it is basically a modern golden eye.
It looks awesome.
Yeah.
It looks so damn awesome.
Has anyone played this?
Is there a demo?
I played a Steam Next Fest demo years ago, but I don't know if it's still up.
I hope that this hits.
I hope this is as good as it looks like it's going to be.
The demo I played was fun.
It was a very short demo, so I didn't get to play that much of it.
But it felt as right as it should have.
Good.
Also, August 11th, you're getting echoes of Mistralia early access for PC.
Did somebody else highlight this one?
Yeah, I highlighted this one.
For any of the top-down roguelight enjoyers, this one's hook is that you are using a lot of magic spells as your abilities, but you are crafting your spells, which I think is a really neat kind of hook and unique thing for a game of this style where you are unlocking all these different powers, but you could say, I love the idea.
being on the ability that shoots out in like five wave lines or whatever and so I think a bit
further on in the trailer that I'm sure we'll get to very very soon you see not only the abilities
are selecting but then you sort of see how you craft and combine all these elements together of like
how the spell goes out whether it's like an a oe thing whether it's like waves of energy or whatever
whether it's just like a direct line and what elements it's sort of being is being used
at the moment and whether you're combining different elements.
I think it's a really kind of neat hook to kind of make a game like this your own.
And a way to kind of stick out from the crowd because there's a million games that do look like this.
But I like the idea of like, you know, crafting your own spells and sharing secrets of other players letting them know like, oh, I had so much luck with this sort of spell that I crafted.
I think it's a really sort of neat idea.
Oh, yeah.
This looks really cool.
More games coming out August 11th.
You got Ledger Bound for PC.
Sente for PC.
The Elders Girls 4, Oblivion remastered for Switch 2,
Grounded 2 for PS5,
Warhounds for PC Xbox Series X and PS5,
Sordeseri for PC early access,
and then the Division 2 Dust Storm event.
Oh shit.
Yeah.
Division 2 still getting events?
Oh, yeah.
That's crazy.
They went back to Brooklyn.
Wow.
Or was it Manhattan?
I forgot what it was.
They saw Destiny stopped.
They said, we got to bring this thing back.
Yeah.
And then August 12th, Big Day.
You're getting Projank footy for
Switch 2, Xbox Series X, PS5, and PC. Projangfooty is an over-the-top arcade comedy sports game.
Score goals to unleash game-changing power-ups, build a deck of absurd abilities, and tackle a season
where no two matches are ever the same. Solo or with your mates. They say mates because it's
Aussie Roche. Yeah. It looks fun, man. This looks super cool. This looks like something that Austin
Creed's going to get really into. Oh, yeah, that's very true.
It just has a good energy. Yeah. Like, the art style obviously looks really good, but then
even when you're watching the trailer and the voiceover
and like a lot of the art reminds me of
if you know growing up we played games
on Cartoon Network.com, Flash games,
Dean Tynes, Battleblitz.
This almost is like if Adult Swim had their version of it.
Yeah.
If Adult Swim had their Cartoon Network.
You're totally right.
I feel like this would have been a very quality one
that would have came out.
Yeah, it's like hearkening back to the art style
when it's in the gameplay
to something like Paperboy,
but with the kind of humor,
and visual gags of something like, thank goodness you're here.
Yeah, that's a good fucking call out.
It really feels like it's throwing everything at the wall and it's not all going to stick.
But watching this, like, there's a lot that makes me kind of giggle.
You know?
Yeah.
I think that they're on to something.
It's the kind of game, too, where it's like, I just want to pick that up and play it.
I don't need to commit myself to playing 10 hours or whatever.
Is the kind of game where if I was at an arcade and saw this, I'd be like, oh, let me get a session of that in real quick.
And then another one for the other one for August 12th I have here is Age Field.
High, rock the school. That's going to be out
PC, Switch 2, Xbox, and
PS5. Me and Nick are going to play this on
stream. Oh, this is the
really bad one, right? This is the one where, like, people
are like, we want bully, and they're like, well, we're
going to make bully then, so we'll see
how this turns out. Also, this wasn't always
the name for this game, right?
Agefield High. I could have sworn
it was called something else. Yeah, I'm with
you, because we definitely saw this on games daily,
and it was, the acting
was, the acting was
real fantastic.
And I'm guessing a lot of it, AI as well.
Can I hear some of the dialogue?
I'd rather you not, but we can do it.
You're the only guy the girls are talking about.
Cool kids rule the halls.
And hot teachers are the only reason to show up to school.
We don't need any more naughty boys around here.
Okay, you can be out.
It's going to be a legendary thing.
I know.
It's going to be awful.
I'll be honest, when I watched the trailer for this,
I assumed that it was more, I didn't listen to the sound.
I assumed it was more life of strange.
I didn't realize that it was a bully like game.
Yeah, yeah.
I can't wait to watch that stream.
Oh my God.
That is got the models of all the naughty games on Steam
where you know it's like at any moment
Mike and Nick might have to shut this guy out.
Yeah, yeah.
It's just, it's giving a problem.
It's gonna be a problem.
You see a 3D models like I've seen that one without close.
Wait, hold on.
Did you see that really slow?
Slow guitar hero.
Guitar Hero mini-
Why is it so slow?
Difficulty I need guitar here on.
We're going to move on to August 13th.
But before we do, I want to tell you about patreon.com slash kind of funny and YouTube.com

Wobbles for Life says
August prediction
Clear for Switch 2
Surprise announced and Shadow Drop
during opening night live
during gamescom
That would be awesome
Mike dropped full game on cartridge
Oh
Tim you think that's pretty likely
I mean, at some point, I feel like it's going to be a shadow drop when it does happen, whether it's at gamescom, which I think is fairly likely or the next Nintendo direct in September or whatever.
Oh, yeah.
I can see Expedition being this year on Switch 2, all on, like not a game key card, like all in one cart.
I could see them doing that.
Yeah.
Because like the sales potential for Expedition 33 on Switch 2 is very high.
Like the demand for that game from that audience, I think will, it would behoove that.
them to like make the investment in it.
And we've seen that when companies kind of make a marketing play out of making sure
that the games are all in one card, it helps them.
So I think it's like that perfect then diagram.
Dropping a behoove on us.
Yeah.
On a Tuesday.
I like that.
I would like them to like package it with something as well.
Like I don't know what that would be, but like I feel like clear obscure, clear obscure hype
dominated 2025, right?
And it's been quiet because they're not talking about anything.
But I wonder if it's, all right, we're releasing a switch version.
but then also
X, Y, Z,
we're doing an orchestra
or like something.
Well, the tour just ended.
The orchestra tour just ended,
but it was,
it was in Europe,
and it's fucking beautiful.
When it comes here,
we're all goddamn going.
Hell yeah.
But, yeah,
I feel like America tour is imminent
to be announced.
Samson XP,
Super Chatson says,
can KF not review games
to skew the score?
No,
our reviews aren't counted
in open critic
or medic critic or anything.
Can you imagine?
No.
Like,
that would be,
Oh, the amount of abuse from Mike would be, yeah, it would be bad.
God.
I don't know why are you sitting it out, Mike.
I don't think he's ever done anything.
Yeah, I was going to say, you know, Roger is the one that gave Pragmetta of 5.5.
Exactly.
Get ready.
I'm about to get on the phone with my boy, Roger.
I don't worry about it.
Don't worry about that.
Give it a 6.5.
Dexter Swarsler writes in and says, I'm curious and excited for Marvel Tokon, but don't have much history with fighting games.
Would you say this is a good place to start?
Love y'all.
I would say this is a good place to start.
This is one of the model combo fighting games.
You tap square.
going to go into a super you tap triangle you're going to do a combo go right into a super you tap
circle you're going to go into your level three like the game is made with approachability
in mind now are you going to go online and get your ass kicked sure yes that will happen but also
that's what ranked is for ranked will put you with players that are in your level and then you
slowly get better and improve and I think that's the fun thing of fighting games is you know getting
your ass kicked and then learning and then coming back and kicking ass um and mom actually
see you writing with a couple and says,
Bless, Delta Roon needs one more top critic review.
It has three reviews scored.
Two of them are top critic reviews.
Four reviews are unscored by top critics.
Tough.
So I need one more of y'all to give that shit a number.
All right?
How long has it been at this point?
It's been like a month.
Like I just finally played it and spent out for a bit.
That does not bode well for me.
It was a very good chapter though.
Mob also says,
is anyone worried about Plag Tale?
Haven't seen much from trailers compared to the last two games.
Still excited to play, but they have been quiet.
Very worried.
Oh, yeah?
Well, we'll get to the Plague Tale later on in the show, and we'll get to that because I want to have a conversation about that.
For now, let's have a conversation about August 13th where we're going to get Defender of the Crown, the Legend Returns for PS5 and PC.
And also, dusk fade for PS5, Xbox Series X, Switch 2 and PC.
My most anticipated of August 2020.
Oh, yeah.
Most anticipated.
I'm excited for you, Tim.
badge because I wanted somebody to like to play this from here because I'm do i did
already give out of most curious if i've not given out of most curious this is my most curious
because i this game looks cool it looks fun but tim tell us more about it i mean it's a it's a
kingdom hearts like it's a kingdom hearts like but with more emphasis on uh like the platforming i
would say than uh most of the kingdom hearts games and yeah it just looks like as a very simple
goal and so far it seems like they're achieving it i don't think it's going to be the great
just game of all time, but I think there's a lot of fun here.
And they clearly care about the
gameplay feel. And
I'm always surprised that we don't get
more Kingdom Heart-like games
because Kingdom Hearts controls and feels
different than other similar
looking games. So, yeah, this one
seems to be kind of
nailing with it. So high quality. Yeah.
Hell yeah.
That same day, August 13th, we're also getting
hell let loose Vietnam for PS5,
Xbox Series X and PC. That's my most
anticipated game. Yeah?
Mike and Nick playing Hell Let Loose Vietnam.
Cannot wait.
Really excited for another fun first-person shooter in my life.
Of course, a lot of people know about Hell Let Loose, the original.
Now I'm excited to, of course, go to Vietnam, have the kind of jungle setting, 50 on 50.
This is a fun first person shooter for sure?
All right.
The first time we, is that the one where Nick left the studio in anger?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Because his friend Mark Smalls told him, we all play Hell Let Loose and he played it once.
And he was like, Mike, let's play.
And then he proceeded to get in the foxhole and just die.
over and over and over and over again.
We were streaming one day.
And Nick just left the studio,
got in his car, and Kevin was like,
he left.
He's had to go for a quick drive, come back,
just cool off a little bit.
It was a special stream.
Amazing.
That was a special.
You know what I forgot about that?
We should look at that one else.
Because you had to, like, find servers,
tip, and it was like, it was one of those, like,
old school PC games, and you're like,
oh, you can't just,
there's no matchmaking.
You have to, like, hop in.
as somebody's existing. It was a mess.
Yeah. Now you're taking them to Vietnam.
Yeah. All right.
Damn.
We also got that same day, August 13th, Madden NFL 27 for PS5 and Xbox series.
We also got wild blue skies for PS5, Xbox, and PC.
It is an exciting and modern take on the classic on-rails adventures of the 90s,
which is another way to say, of saying it's Star Fox.
Yep. And I said this before, but this is the most Star Fox-like,
I've ever played. The demo for this was really rad.
I think that this is going to scratch a lot of itches.
It is, I think, a little not great that it's coming out the year that Star Fox actually did get remade.
But this one looks really, really high quality.
And they understand the soul of Star Fox.
More games coming out, August 13th.
You got RIVage for PC, Xbox, and PS5, Claude for PC, Servant of the Lake for PC, Panzer Knights, Commanders Edition for PS5, Xbox.
It's already on PC.
IGS classic arcade collection for PC.
Skatester, which I should have highlighted actually.
Skatester for PS5, Switch 2, PC, and Xbox.
This game looks really bad, but it's a Tony Hawk Pro Skater like.
Bear, if you can do me a favor and look up Skatester.
I just want Tim to see it.
Oh, Jesus.
Yeah.
No, no.
Actually, don't, maybe.
He Google, he copy-pasted it and like the,
a similar channel name popped up, and it was just like a scantily clad lady.
Oh, my God, wow.
This is giving big BMX.
Oh, shit.
Yes, it kind of gives BMX XXX vibes a little bit.
It's Tony Hawk Pro Skating Gameplace.
Here on a skateboard and you're playing as a lady.
I don't know if she's just the only lady?
Is she the lady that we're doing?
Dude, you might as well just be a vertical plank on a skateboard.
Oh, dude.
Wait a minute.
What?
This is all crazy.
I follow this woman on TikTok.
Yep.
See, it's all connected.
This is all connected.
Wait, wait, wait, wait.
She's fucking...
Her web connects us all.
She's awesome.
She's just a badass skater.
And she's bad as hell.
And she's bad as hell.
But yeah, she like skates, she longboards.
She serves and shit.
And now she has a video.
They're making a game based on her.
That's crazy.
So that is fucking.
Her channel name is surfster.
S-T-E-R-E.
Okay.
So when Tim copy paste that on YouTube and that popped up, he was like, oh, Jesus, like this.
Yeah.
The, you know, the pro-tops photos.
I'll check it out for sure.
All right.
It does not look like her at all.
Well, she's getting to video game.
But she dresses the same.
Developer Goon Squad.
Fuck yeah, guys.
We're covering it up, but I just wanted to...
That's where we're going.
I'll show you that there.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Cool.
Yeah.
If you're a Tony Hawk fan and you like the game,
if you'd like a Tony Hawk game that looks like Tony Hawk one,
like it looks like it came out on the PS1 or PS2.
Or if you want something a bit more.
of like a modern spiritual successor
to the energy of Tony Hawk.
Played Denton Tech.
There you go.
And then...
Did you take yet, Andy?
At all?
One more for August 13th.
You got Tower Dominion coming to Switch.
It's already launched on PC.
It launches on everything else on the 14th.
Speaking of the 14th, on August 14th,
you're getting Mafia, the old country,
the man of...
I assume, man of honor.
Sorry, you're like cursory's blocking the word.
Man of Honor for PS5, Xbox, and PC.
And then Static Dread.
The submarine for PC.
Is that like story DLC for Mafia?
You imagine so.
Yeah.
Oh, I just assumed it was like the game of the year edition.
We can look it up.
Because yeah, I read that thinking it was DLC.
Man of Honor.
Expansion.
It adds two new story chapters set in winter 1905.
And add a DLC for free ride mode.
Neat.
Reride.
Yeah, I don't know what that is.
Is that for Skatster or is that for Mafia?
for mafia
because mafia is one of those weird ones
especially the old country where everything is very linear
but it takes place in a map that
definitely feels like it should be open world
so there doesn't seem to be a lot of
like a big enough leash of exploring around
when you're in all of these kind of like linear missions
so they added a free ride mode for people to actually
just kind of explore around the
Sicilian countryside.
Hell yeah.
Also good for them for doing
more story content.
Is anybody interested in checking out the story content?
Absolutely not, but I'm just glad that
they're, you know, I'm glad they're doing
well enough that they're able to do some
keep up and I'm excited for their future.
Hell yeah. August
Oh, and then also August 14th in case I didn't read it.
Static dread, the submarine, comes out for PC.
August 17th, the lantern of the laughless
saint comes out.
I didn't write down the platform, but there you go.
August 18th, you're getting entropy, early access for PC on that day.
You're also getting Raka spelled R-E-K-A for PC.
You're also getting- Oh, that's a survival game where your base is like a walking bird's nest or something.
You're like a witch and your base is like a, think of like a house moving castle.
That's what the movie's called, right?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah, you're like, kind of a unique sort of like spin on on survival games.
Channel your inner witch, build your cozy chicken-legged hut, practice witchcraft, and forge for ingredients in autumnno, woodlands.
Atomno?
Atomno.
Atomno.
Atomno equinox.
Solve quest and uncover the great mysteries of the legendary witch, Baba Yaga.
Ah.
The Baba Yaga.
There's always a Baba Yaga.
August 18th, you're also getting the sinking city too for PS5, XVI.
Xbox and PC.
It is a survival horror game set against the backdrop of a Lovecraftian 1920s U.S.
The story unfolds in the notorious city of Arkham, which is now suffering from a supernatural
flood that has led to decay in the emergence of Eldridge monsters in its streets.
Here's the thing.
Despite what's his name, Lovecraft being a raging racist.
You'll never understand, everybody.
Let me tell you.
Don't look up his cat's name.
Don't look up his cat's name.
I kind of fuck with Eldridge's horror.
I like the energy.
It's pretty cool.
I don't know.
Did anybody here play Sinking City one or have interest in Sinking City?
Uh-uh.
Didn't, uh...
Oh, gosh.
Who's the actor?
Terry, no.
Cruz?
Terry Cruz.
Didn't Terry Cruz talk about playing the Sinking City on one of these?
No, he did not.
I'm pretty sure, dude.
No, he did not.
That's awesome.
Hold on.
Terry Cruz.
Oh, still wakes the deep
Rodg for me in chat
Oh geez, I googled it
Oh no
Oh geez
That's a hilarious reaction to that
Yeah, I think
Yeah, he talked about
Still Wakes-Dive
About how he and his son
Play a like different narrative games
And they were blown away
By still Wakes-to-D
I don't know if you guys
Have you been paying attention to this trailer
This shit looks freaky dude
Yeah
I don't like it
Looks beautiful though
Why is there a train conductor on a boat
Like Bioshock or?
Oh god
Yeah
It kind of gives Resident Evil
Yeah.
And what was that spirit?
What was the
Raco was the one?
No, the high fire rush team.
What did they make before high fire rush?
Oh, Tango Game Works made
The Evil Within 1 and 2.
Yeah.
There's a little bit of that energy.
We say we want more AA games.
Support this.
And go play Singin CD2.
Twisted Tower.
PC comes out that same day, August 18th.
And then Darkest Dungeon, the Fire's Edge,
DLC.
That's the DLC.
That's for the first game.
the Fire's Edge comes out that day
as well as Beast Link for PC
Dude Beast Link
I don't know what the freak it is
But like it's seeming
It's seeming to be one of those
Like
Capcom's
fucking game with dinosaurs
Exo Primal
Exo Primal
It's seeming to be one of those where
Beast Link is like
Kaiju sort of battles and multiplayer
And two people plays the Kaiju
One pro
I don't know it's one of those like weird ass
genres and I'm like this I don't I don't have a lot of confidence for this for the future of this game
um yeah it's kind of rampage vibes you know what I mean yeah big monster kaiju's
yeah this is interesting I don't know how I feel about it but like I like the concept
yeah I like a good kaiju battle and the idea of making it like a multiplayer thing I think is cool
but I don't know I don't know yeah I don't know I don't know yeah I don't know
August 19th, no case should remain unsolved comes out for PS5.
It's already out on Switching PC.
Space Tales come to PC.
Wild Eyes comes to PC.
August 20th, Mortal Shell 2 comes to PS5, Xbox Series X and PC.
Motor Shell is a standalone sequel to Mortal Shell that significantly expands on the original
with unrestricted adrenaline-charged combat, deeper weapon design, with extensive upgrade options,
and an emphasis on free exploration.
This action RPG offers an immersive, interconnected open world,
expansive yet deliberately compact
designed to unfold its twisted
landscapes and hidden structures while respecting
the player's time. Andy, you played a demo
of Mortal Shell 2, right?
This is my most anticipated of the mark.
I was really surprised by how much I enjoyed
the demo, especially in a day and age where
we get a million games that look like this and
can sometimes feel like this, and it's just being this
very dark,
Gothic horror,
souls-like video game.
I,
I missed,
I didn't realize
how much I missed the feeling
of exploring,
you know,
a dark,
spooky landscape
like this in an action game
and not knowing
what's next,
not knowing what boss
is going to challenge me now.
And it just,
it surprised me at every turn.
I was really,
really impressed by it.
This is the game,
Tim,
where you,
you have to deliver
the ovum to the undermether.
No.
Yeah.
This is the one, yeah.
Can you see that sentence again?
You have to, you find the ovum and you deliver it to the undermether.
Mike's been looking for the ovum for 35 years.
Yeah.
Still searching.
Still searching.
But I'm going to deliver it one day.
How do you spell ovum?
O-V-U-M.
And under-mether is like the word mother, but with an M-E.
Whatever the photo is right there, yeah.
Yeah.
Deliver the ovum to the under-methers.
It's awesome.
It's awesome.
The boss fights are cool shit.
They had some really creative scale to them.
And, yeah, I just, I like what they're doing to make,
to try to make themselves as different as you can be in a type of game like this.
Going out and finding shells, you're looking for,
you've always just been like this weird kind of faceless carcass,
but you'll go to a spot and there's like a,
there's a shell nearby there and that shell has certain characteristics.
sticks and you know it gets health
regeneration and that that other shell
way over there that you've heard rumors about is
really tanky and does this special
ability and I just really like this
sort of like the format of it
all really really neat.
Yeah. Yeah, okay. I wonder a lot.
Do you learn about them ovum? Yeah.
I mean it's not yeah. I just didn't know
it was called that. Like I knew what an
ovum was but I guess I just never referred to
it as an oom. I just called it an egg.
Ovum under Mether, yeah.
Stocker two. I'm so happy that stuff
stuck with you, Andy.
Yeah.
Well, because I deliberately took a screenshot.
I said, send this to Tim to scare him.
Yeah.
I don't want that.
Because if it's not health or like, you know, stamina item,
if it's called ovums and under-meathering,
it's like, you know, Tim's like, no, thank you.
Stocker to Heart of Chernobyl.
Cost of Hope comes to Xbox, PS5 and PC,
August 20th.
Step into a fresh expedition across the zone,
a massive non-linear expansion packed with dozens of hours of gameplay.
Mike, is this going to bring you back to stalker two?
I wish, bless.
No, stocker two was too difficult for me and I could not get it done.
It is a punishingly fun game that I wish I could spend more time in.
But, man, being out in the zone, I just didn't have the game, bless.
I was getting beat down by it.
That's fair enough.
Wait, what was the mafia expansion called?
Mafia.
Man of honor.
The old blood.
Okay.
Man of honor.
Cost of hope.
I feel like we can get more creative with these DLC names.
I mean, those are all four different words.
I don't know, but it's like, they all multi other
They both have the word of
Manor, you know, some echoes in there.
Echoes of wisdom.
Something, Ea.
Yeah, something of something.
More games for August 20th.
Therapods for PC,
Steinsgate reboot for PC Xbox.
Gallypolley for Xbox PS5 PC.
The Witch's Bakery for Xbox PS5 PC Switch and Switch 2.
Puppergeist for PC, Xbox, and Switch.
The last two games, if Greg was on the show,
I would have highlighted them more.
They look kind of cozy.
Yet another zombie survived.
for PS4 already out on PS5 and PC and Xbox
or sorry it's coming to PS4 and PS5
it's already out on PC and Xbox where he had another zombie survivors
over Requiems for switch swarm distry for PC early access
Cozy Marbles for PC what's cozy marbles is that just Marvel races
that's the fucking addicted to Marvel races every time I see it pop up
I think it is Marble Races and I swear to go we so have blue wins like 90% of the time
this looks really cute Tim yeah this might be up your alley
I think you'd like this, Tim.
I'm a marble guy.
It's like the Marbles game, but with a better arts side.
I didn't know you're a Marbles guy.
My friend group when I lived in Seattle were also Marbles people, but I didn't understand it.
They were like super into Marvel, Marble Olympics.
And I kind of was forced to watch it with them every week.
Every week.
Because we would hang out every week to watch Marvel movies.
And then afterwards, they put on Marbles.
Marble.
Marvel.
Okay.
Marvel and Marvel, yeah.
Ms.
This is great.
Good for them.
I love this.
art style. Why would you have it wear a head?
It's gonna fuck up it's... Yeah, it's gonna mess up the whole
thing. It's... Nah, it's...
See, this shit gets me going, man.
To see these goddamn Marbles going.
Tim, I don't want to know. I notice your pants get tighter.
Yeah, I just... I feel like this is something
that should do something to my brain, but it's not doing anything to my brain.
I mean, the game maybe, but like, like, we've talked about this enough.
When you pull up your TikTok, it'll probably be there.
You know what I mean? The algorithm will speak to you. You'll see some marble races.
You ever get the guy in the treadmill that puts different objects on the
treadmill and let's that race.
See that is that I fuck with.
Yeah, that I like.
Good stuff.
We also got Brigadour Killers for PC and B.
ever get that batting on the skateboard?
August 21st, you got Call of Duty Modern Warfare, early access, and then volume for PC.
August 20.
I didn't spell volume.
With an H.
Volume.
V-H-O-L-U-M-E.
Volume.
What was the one space shooter game that had that had that fascinating?
spelling.
It was like
a...
Coors?
You know?
Yes, corbs.
Chorves.
Yeah.
Chorves.
Yeah.
Who could forget.
August 25th.
Big day.
You start off
with Aliens Fire Team Elite 2
for PS5.
Xbox.
My most curious right here.
I am so...
I'm like...
It's one that I keep forgetting
exists and it's one that I...
I remember we played part one.
We didn't play enough of part one.
Every time we played it, we had fun.
I played it.
you,
Alana.
Yeah.
And then we played it
with Nick and Greg
and one other point.
It's one
that we didn't play enough of,
but I think,
especially after,
I don't think I didn't
even watch all of the
alien movies when this had come out.
So I'm really,
I'm really jazzed up
to get into another one of these games
because I love third person
squad shooters.
They're some of the most fun
that I have gaming with friends.
And then that same day,
August 25th,
you're getting Blood Dungeon for
PS5 Xbox Switch 2,
Switch and PC.
This is the,
game from the Nidhog developer
that's like a 2D platformer
almost like a vampire survivors
A lot of hype about it
Dude this game I played a little bit of the demo
Was really fun
Run jump and survive
In this feverish bullet heaven platformer
From the creators of Nidhog
Climb walls and ceilings blast monsters
And collect blood to upgrade your attacks
Unlocked new weapons, powers and characters
Can you survive the blood dungeon
A lot of people hyped on this one
Mike did you ever play more cookie clicker
After that episode of KFCD?
No, no more cookie clicker
Because I think cookie clicker is how I was able to escape the
addictiveness of games like this.
Oh, okay.
Because that was just a game where number goes up.
You just click on the cookie and you get upgrades so you can get more clicks on the cookie.
Now every click is worth two.
Now every 10 seconds I get an extra cookie.
Yeah, yeah.
So I'm just making that happen.
And I think I spent an entire semester of college just playing cookie clicker to where now I feel nothing.
That said, this is making me feel something.
Oh.
You know what I mean? I look at this and I'm like, this seems like this seems like that
like a kind of game where number go up, the amount of projectile goes up, I'm just like trying
to optimize my passives. I love the art style too. It's, you know, it could have very easily
been an 8-bit platform or a pixelated platform. It looks like everything is kind of made in
Microsoft Paint or something. I love how like jaggedy and crude everything looks. I enjoy it.
Did you ever play Mega Bonk? No. Oh, Mega Bonk. Yeah. Dude. Damn, that was a good.
good on. Also on August
25th is a game called Box
Night on PC. Fight,
die, repeat, become
the Box Knight and brawl through
a monster infested office, floor by
floor, boss by boss, in this
irreverent action
roguelike. Irreverent, wow.
Irreverent. Yeah, you're
playing as a guy that has
a box on his head and he's fighting
things. I like the art, very
cartoony. Rements me of a
jetpack joyride. Yes.
100%.
Cute animations.
Very cute.
Very adorable art style.
Yeah.
I think this game looks really cute.
Wanted to highlight it for people watching.
Interesting.
It really reminds me that I need to get back to finishing
the DLC for Colts of the Lamb that came out this year.
It was fantastic.
I never got back to it.
And I really want to.
Once Human also comes out that same day,
PS5 Xbox. This is still August 25th.
Damn, they're still doing that.
Yeah.
Nice.
Epidia special comes out.
out Xbox,
PS5,
Switch and PC.
I pity you.
Oh,
that's good.
And then Ultra Pool
comes out on PC.
You know what?
Ultra Pool is one
I think I meant to highlight
and didn't highlight,
but it's just Pool.
It's like a,
it's,
if I remember correctly,
it's like,
if Pool was Bellatro.
You know what I mean?
If Pool had like the
Rogue Light upgrades and shit.
You've seen so much of that
nowadays.
So much of that.
Yeah.
Any game you played,
you know,
growing up,
what if that was like a roguel?
Yeah.
So yeah,
Barrett brought up here.
I can see the whole.
We got bridge and dominoes.
Yeah, this is Ultra Pool.
Now you're saying.
Definitely controls like a lot of like browser pool games from like back in like 2008 to 2010.
If they put this out on mobile, I'll play it.
Yeah.
I play this on my Android.
Yeah.
I'd play a couple games with you.
Yeah.
Ball pit.
Fuck.
The more I watched this more, I'm like, I kind of want to play this.
This is, this can take away a full evening from me.
August 26th.
you're getting Brigandine Abyss for PS5, Xbox, Switch, 2, and PC.
August 27th, you're getting Kalinoro for PS5, Xbox, Switch, and PC.
Luz Lagoon for PS5, Xbox Switch 2, Switch, and PC.
Sounds like a name that Greg would say in a really annoying way.
God.
Lose Lagoon.
Metal Gear Solid Master Collection, Volume 2 comes out for PS5, Xbox, Switch 2, Switch, and PC.
It's the second installment of the collection featuring
MGS 4 and Metal Gear Solid Peacewalker.
I can't believe we're here.
I just can't believe this is real.
MGS 4 is going to be officially playable in a real way.
God, what a time to be alive.
I'm just a stuck to play Peace Walker.
I never played it.
We should do a Peace Walker stream, like a co-op.
Without Greg.
Without Greg.
Yeah.
Oh, they'll be so uptight.
That same day, you're also getting Residence of Plagetail Legacy for PS5 Xbox
PC in August 27th.
Set 15 years before Plague.
Requium.
Play is Sophia,
a fierce young plunderer
on the run,
but determined to
uncover the secrets of her past.
Dive into an original story,
blending combat,
myth and fate,
with a brand new take
in the universe of a plague tale.
Andy, earlier in the show,
you said that you're a little bit
scared about this one.
Yeah, I'm worried about it,
dude.
I just feel like it's
kind of going unnoticed
by everybody,
and it's just such a weird,
it's such a weird title
because it doesn't look
like it's tied at all to anything a plague tale related.
And it's a completely different style of video game as well, you know.
It doesn't seem to be,
it doesn't seem to harken back to anything that a plague tale was doing
with all of its sort of like strategy, sneaking, you know,
every level being somewhat of a puzzle.
This game seems very much like a third person kind of action adventure video game.
But yeah, I just, I need it.
I need to hear some really good stuff about some previews.
Otherwise, I'm like, oof, this game could come and you'll see there's 70 people playing concurrently on Steam.
I'm getting really worried about this one.
That same day, we're also getting Star Wars Zero Company for a PS5, Xbox, and PC.
It's still August 27th.
Command and Elite Squad through a gritty and authentic story set during the twilight of the Clone Wars in Star Wars,
in Star Wars Zero Company,
a single player turn-based tactics game developed by BitReactor
in collaboration with respawn in Lucasfilm games.
I'm like weirdly excited for this game,
which is funny because it's not my style of game,
but Mike, I've been saying it, tactical 2026.
This is where I want you to just dip your toe into tactical 2026
because we will have a big tactical 2026 fall here coming up with this
and Fire Emblem, but I would love everyone that's just interested in tactic games,
Let's start with this and then let's move to Fire Emblem together, right?
I like that.
Let's warm up the car on this one.
Then we go full throttle into Fire Emblem together as a group here.
I like that a lot.
Mike, you're looking forward to this one.
I'm very much looking forward to this.
I love the idea of getting in the Star Wars universe with an ex-com tactics like game.
We know we saw this before with the Marvel game that I didn't make much of Midnight Suns.
And so, yeah, I'm excited for this.
I haven't been in the Star Wars universe in a long, long time.
So I'm up for it.
And I never, I miss out on the X-com.
craze.
And if this brings some of that energy to it,
I'd like to participate.
It will.
Because is there permadeath here?
Do you know?
I believe so.
I believe they'll have permadeef.
Because I like what people did with Excom
where they're making their friends or whatever.
The Iron Man run.
Yeah.
And it's like I got to keep all my homies alive.
It's cool.
Now, Andy, what if I told you on June,
on June 8th, 2026,
Resonance of Plagetail Legacy has previews from different video game outlets.
They can go check out if you want to look up on.
Oh, dang.
Okay.
Yeah, I'll look into that.
Also, they announced the voice cast for this,
and they brought in Dee Bradley Baker
to actually voice the clones,
and that's fucking sick as hell.
And they brought in Vic McAilis,
which is awesome from Dropout.
Oh, nice.
Yeah.
Which is really fun.
He's incredible.
And then finally, that day,
we're getting Agalos 2 for Xbox,
PS4, PS5, Switch, Switch 2, PC.
We move on to August 28th,
where we get Captain Subasa to World Fighters.
You can't just call it World Fighters.
It's a Street Fighters thing.
I guess it's World Warriors.
Either way.
PS5, Xbox Switch and PC.
Elder Ring Tarnished Edition for Switch 2 comes out on August 28th.
Crazy.
Wow. Finally here.
Finally here.
Finally here on that one.
You're also getting the Call of Duty Modern Warfare for Open Beta.
And then Devinum.
Oh.
For PC.
Divinum.
Devine them?
I'd say Devinum.
Devinum.
Sick-ass action.
Devinum.
It's an action adventure that blends stylish,
expressive combat with rewarding exploration,
master devastating combos,
and craft unique builds to fight back
mysterious invaders and uncover your island's hidden
truth. I'll be honest. You give me a
pixel art style, you give me action gameplay,
I'm gonna highlight it. Yeah, this looks cool.
Especially when it looks as high quality
is this. Yeah, looks high quality.
The map gives Metroidvania.
I don't know if it's exactly
Metro Bay Patterns.
I like how floaty the air combat looks.
Very double-may cry.
You're just kind of staying in the air as you slash.
Yeah.
Yeah, a lot of really cool looking combos here.
Hold on.
Hold on.
Let this cook.
Some Celeste vibe.
Hold on.
Let the trailer just lay out.
Yeah, this is good.
If you're audio listener, watch the trailer for DeVenum.
DeVim.
DeVim.
Some good combos.
Watching that, it's like, man, God of War,
sons of Sparta could have been so much better.
What a wet down, right?
Some interesting ideas.
way, way, way too long and so
buggy and just not very interesting.
There's a lot of things.
There's some interesting things there, damn it.
And then we close out the month with
August 29th, Flying Fire Shark, Toplin
Arcade Garage comes out that day.
We're Switching PS4, Flying Fire Shark,
and then three exclamation points, and then a colon,
and then Toplin, spelled T-O-A-P-L-L-A-N,
arcade garage is the name of that game.
That's the full title for one video game.
And Switch and P-S-E-L-E-L-R-A-N.
S-4.
Switching PS4.
We're coming to places there.
Oh, also,
it's Marvel Tocone.
You're joking, really?
No.
No?
Really?
Tocone.
Tocone.
Yeah.
I saw somebody chat say,
when will they pronounce it right?
And I was like, let me just Google it.
I was like, oh.
Why did they call the game that?
Tochone.
Can we just, can we just fucking tell them that they're stupid?
Marvel Tocon.
usually you uh for vowels in japanese you wouldn't change like how it's pronounced within the word but like
wasn't doesn't one of them have like an accent on it oh yeah that's true one of them has like a thing
yeah the word it uh means fighting spirit it combines the kanji for fighting conflict and spirit and soul
the game is called marvel fighting souls fighting souls fighting souls yeah they didn't need to do that
it is didn't need to be it's called it marvel fighting souls or marvel token or like i don't know
it's an interesting one
hmm
hmm
August 31st
Breath Edge 2
PC early access
and they're getting
Lady Death
Demonacron
for Switch
PS4
PS5
Xbox 1 Xbox Series X and PC
they just be naming games
yeah
and I'm also got
I got to relook up
Lady Death Demonocron
because that's actually
that's a sick ass name
but that's all the games
that's all the games I had on the list
um Lady Death
Demonicron is a side scrolling
sword slicing magic wielding
game
put more buzzwords in there
yeah what else is it
co-op hackslash
aspects of 1990s
arcade classics all mixed together
it looks fine
it looks all right
Copeland arcade garage
that is it
for the games coming out
in August we made it through
as a quick recap
I'll recap the badges
that we gave out
how about that
but you're gonna be able to
because I'm gonna scroll
Tim for most curious said
Beast of Reincarnation.
For me and Tim, we both said for didn't know about this
wishlisted, Akatori.
Game looks really cool.
My most anticipated a game was Marvel Tokon
Fighting Souls. Andy
relisted, or sorry, not a relisted, wishlisted,
Restory. Yeah. That's the game where you're restoring
fun hardware devices.
And then as I scroll down,
for most anticipated for Tim and most curious for me,
is dusk fade.
I can't wait to hear what you think about that, Tim,
because I really want to know that game hits.
Most anticipated for Mike, hell let loose, Vietnam.
And I think, oh, no, and then for most anticipated for Andy,
we had Mortal Shell 2.
And I think that is it for the badges.
Let's close out with some super chats real quick.
Off 2741 says KF you inspired us to start a video game podcast,
Third Life Crisis.
Check out our new Shadow of the Colossus.
review blessed. Sorry for no link. Much love.
Oh, aliens fire team elite was my
curious. Oh, there you go.
Yeah. There you go.
Calico Ken says Marble Olympics rules.
Let's, oh, Marvel Olympics rules.
Go Team Momo.
The one who knocks says, how will the rising
costs of gaming affect KF's future?
When more people turn to KF to vicariously play
slash enjoy the games they can't afford?
Or will subs go down as people start cutting gaming
costs? It's the existential question.
Yeah, it is, man.
I do imagine it'll be a little bit of both of those, but I mean, what I will say is we'll be here.
We'll be playing games.
I think that is such a big reason we stream every day is to kind of show off games and, you know,
hang out with your friends playing.
Like, there's so much joy I have.
Like, when I'm, like, I was on vacation a couple weeks ago and then I got six.
So there's been a lot of times I haven't been here.
And I just love hanging out with you guys.
Like, it's crazy how often I'll, like, just pop a stream on when I'm at home.
And I'm like, I'm with these guys all day.
But it's like, I just can't get enough of it, you know?
So it's like I imagine that's how a lot of people watching feel as well.
So yeah.
And then one last one from Street Shadow.
He gave out his badges.
Most hyped,
Tocone.
And I don't know.
I can't get used to Tocone.
I don't know about the mouth feel for it for me.
Yeah.
I'm going to try, though.
I'm going to try.
Tocon and MGS volume 2 collection.
Curious Star Wars Zero Company.
Wish list,
Dusk Fade.
Honorable mention, Madden 27,
because I am a lifelong Rams fan and hyped for the season.
Thank you so much.
much for that street shadow. That brings us to the end of the episode.
Fellas, thank you so much for joining me here. Thank you.
