So we laugh about that. And we're like, why can't you just be normal and ask somebody? Anyway, an hour later, I'm home already. I get a text message with a photo. of Kevin A. Sex in selling some bar. He goes, got him. What you mean you got him? He's your friend. I told you got him. God, damn. Oh, my God. What a fantastic dinner.

I had ice cream to you, Greg. Where'd you guys go? Where did you guys go? Spices. Spices. I love spices. You didn't take him to House of Prime Rib? I offered it, but he wanted Chinese food. That's like the spot that we go whenever Chris's is here. And then, you know, I'm like I'm like a 10 minute walk, 15 minute walk away, right?

And we keep on walking, we keep on walking, and we keep on walking, we're getting closer and closer to my place. And there's just a lot of threats of like, Andy, we're going to go, we go into your place. I'm like, the dog will go crazy. Okay, you tell Barry to text them right now. Tell them to take her on a walk for 20 minutes. We go in there. We surprise everybody. We hit the stream live.

Suddenly we're there in the room. That's pretty cool. And he just keeps on doing it. I'm like, no, no, and he goes, Andy, the next time we're here, we're going in there. And it's such a threat. Like, we're going in that goddamn room. It's just, oh, my God. Then bless really quick, let's try the Red Bull Winter Edition, since he won't do it with me.

out for the month we're going into. We usually try to do it on that first or before the month ends, but there's been so many reviews we're here on the fourth to get into it and stuff like that. Because you might think it's a quiet month. It's not a quiet month. There's a lot of things happening if you didn't know, Andy.

I mean, I'll be honest with you. When I was making this thumbnail last night, I was like, pretty quiet month. That's not a whole lot going on. What are you talking about? Some of the stuff's already out, but I want to cover it for the full picture of the one the only December. So we'll start, of course, with Marvel Cosmic Invasion.

Worth pointing out, our list comes from the one, the only Game Informer.com slash 2025, when you want to keep up with everything. Of course, cosmic invasion is out on everything. It came out December 1st. A cosmic battle awaits. Choose between 15 Marvel superheroes and this ferenic. No.

Yeah, I'm actually excited for this. This will be a one and done for me. I'm going to play through this campaign, maybe with Kevin A.SX and the boys. And I let the message that was a, one-man job he could have done it but I'm super excited for this game Greg we already got to stream a little part of it earlier this week altogether so that was a lot of fun but for my own stuff I'm gonna play through this I like a good streets of rage I like a fun

and a titan into turtle and so yeah for me with all of the characters in the Marvel universe what we played already it's beautiful it's fun I'm excited for it it will be a let's smash this campaign I'm good Who's going to be your main? Who's my main?

Iceman with them cheeks and then a follow-up. Silver Surfer. Iceers isn't even in the game. Yeah. They're both icy. It's cold in space, you know. And then Gene Gray. Gene Gray is quite awesome.

And one of my favorites in there. Bless Andy, anything for you? I just don't really think I have a whole lot of time. And I enjoy what I played. I feel like I would enjoy it a lot more without the four-player chaos. I think it was like a little too much. I think maybe two players is possibly the sweet spot. But I mean, it's just, there's just so much going on.

There is a lot going. These aren't really just Elden Ring. These aren't single player games for me. You know what I mean? These are games that I had to have somebody with me playing locally. So does that speak to you when you think of like going up and spending time with like your nephews? See, yes. But I don't have that plan.

Anytime soon. Yeah, I just got back from things. I mean hanging out of them. They only gave me one seat here. They ain't paid me enough to come up there. They got me once. So, yeah, if it was a Christmas thing, for sure, this would be a really fun one to bust out actually.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't have as much fun playing beat-em-ups by myself, sadly. Understandably. As I said, seven, I had a good time with it. Me and Ben really enjoyed playing it. But yeah, I was the one and done, Mike. Finish the story, and I'm like, cool, there's not enough here. I'm hopeful for DLC characters, DLC stage is something like that.

And I could also see it being in the same way, when Ben has his friends in the neighborhood over, they've been jumping in Dultment Alliance. I could see this being way more approachable for them to jump in. Oh, yeah. That is a special moment. Oh, wow. None of the other kids.

The other kids next door, they don't know to play video games. They don't know what they're doing. They can play Mario card. They can't play Ultimate Alliance. Oh, I was wondering if they were one of those like, our child doesn't watch television. Our child doesn't eat McDonald. I'm sure there's going to be a lot of those kids,

and I will chill out. Change them all. We'll change that. December 2nd also saw the release of Assassin's Creed Shadows on Switch 2. Did anyone hear any, have there been reviews of this? Does it run well on Switch 2? I was hearing very positive things from the most recent Digital Foundry podcast talking about like visual quality and just how good Ubisoft has been on the tech side of things.

So it seems like, wow, they were able to actually pull off this kind of visual Titan to, you know, run really, really well and look good on Switch 2. I think it's like, I'm not saying like 60 frames per second, the highest thing ever, but it's similar to the cyberpunk situation. Yeah, JG down there says 30 frames, but it looks solid. Yeah, cyberpunk as well. well 60 or 30 frames for cyrpunk i think on certain modes maybe but has a really good image quality okay i know we're going to talk about it on another podcast but like when we look back on the year

should i jump into assassins creed shadows if i have a little bit of time it's one that like it came i did the opening and then i i never went back to it's like i love assassins creed but like should i should i give this one some time i think that's your yote like i think oh you ever play yote play yote dude come on yeah i don't know that's a little bit of time kind of game also yeah i mean i know both are going to be big, but like, yeah, it's like, start jumping the shadows? So I love the chat from Swagorilla who says, Our child doesn't consume calories before 1 p.m.

He hung you out to dry on. I don't know if you saw this because it hasn't made any headlines, but on December 2nd, a game called Horses came out. Ah. Welcome to the farm where the sun is hot, the grass is green, and the horses are waiting for you. But as the sun sets, the shadows creep across the land, the tranquility fades,

and this farm's facade begins to crumb. In this enigmatic first-person adventure, you'll take on the role of a summer worker taking a break from his college studies. You will be responsible for taking care of the farm and its animals for a fortnight. Each day you explore the farm, you encounter many surprises peeling back the layers of this farm's unsettling mysteries. Got it by the cryptic rules of a mysterious farmer, you'll decide whether to tread the safe path or allow curiosity to lead you into the farm's hidden depths. Choose wisely, for some truths are far more terrifying than the lies we cling to. Of course, I say no one's heard of this. This is the game that is banned currently from Epic Game Store and from Steam.

It was banned for a second from Humble Bundle, but then reinstated on Humble. I have finished it. Round of applause. Wow. When somebody says... When did you play it? Yesterday. I played at my desk yesterday.

Only Nick walked by and he said, what the fuck are you playing? Does that work? Yeah, I heard this game has everything in it. Sex, nudity, murder, more sex, mystery. A lot more nudity. sensual sex as well. It's, I think, well, well, well overblown

on what's going on here. If you haven't followed it, it would seem, and I'm going to not spoil this for the game. I mean, if you're watching the trailer at this point, you probably know a little bit about it. If you don't, the hook here is that, yeah, you go to, it's a horror game. You started working on this guy's farm for two weeks,

and his horses are people who have horse masks on their head that are chained around their neck and they're naked from the neck down then. I guess totally naked, but they have a horse mask. on. And so, yeah, you go through and kind of uncover what the fuck is going on here and what's going to happen with it. The banning

seems to be. It seems to be the money on the ban. Comes from an earlier build that was submitted to Steam, where there's a section of the game that I've played, but is not, they've changed it since the ban, where a grown woman and her father show up and they want

to buy a horse. And so you have to give them a pony ride, basically. And so the grown woman gets on the horse and you walk around, she talks to you and she basically kind of threatens you or whatever. But it's like, the whole thing is supposed to be on something weird. I guess in the initial draft submitted, it was a child that came with her father

and then got, there was nothing sexual about the scene except that obviously the horse person was naked. But a person, that seems to be what triggered steam back in the day to which when we got here, they just denied it, which then had a chilling effect where Epic Game Store was like, well, we're going to deny it too. And it's been kind of chaos as

it. But if somebody who's, it's a two hour long experience, five bucks, I bought it on Humble, on the Humble Game Store. As you are watching right now, it's goofy. Like, it's like, look at the way they move and look and they're animated and stuff.

You wouldn't know it by just going through this, right? It looks like an adult swim, like a little bumper ads in between shows. Exactly. It's black and white. It's four by three. It's also,

this is going to sound weird, but it's silent for the most part. There is music track. There are a few sound effects, but when someone talks to you, it's their goofy face in the frame and then you go to like a towel, words on the screen with it captioned underneath.

So it's kind of like a black and white Italian film, horror film, or whatever. It's got a vibe to it. It's got a thing to it. I want to give a full review on Gregway tomorrow, probably. But like, it's not, there's way worse stuff I've seen on Steam when I was making fun of Steam players before I became one. You know, of course, where I'd go and I'd look for the erotic things

and see here, let's fuck Hitler game. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I mean, whatever. But it's out there right now. It'll be interesting to see as it continues to evolve. Obviously, this has gotten a lot of attention in the media. And you've seen the developer come out and say like, hey, if we can't get back on these stores, we're probably going to fold as a studio. So is anybody else going to play horses?

I know I'm the horror game guy. Me about it. Like, hearing you talk about it makes it sound cool. And like, yeah, it was interesting trying to read into, okay, what the fuck is going on about this game? Because it feels like there's been a lot of loud noise and not a lot of people just being like, this is what it is. It looks weird.

I like, I like how weird and this shit look. Yeah. It's giving me mouthwashing vibes from last year like that. Yeah. weird kind of out of the blue game that comes and makes a splash. Yeah. And I gave that one to try. So maybe.

I watched Alana's video yesterday. It's like, okay, I'm intrigued. And then you sang two hours. I'm like, okay, I might be able to fit that in.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Andy, he like horses. I mean, there's nothing better than like having a starter,

Mike, who's going to go out there and get you seven to eight good innings pitch. Yeah. Like, we love having a horse out there going to go, you know, you know, pitch for our squad.

Hunter Pence is coming by it later. Frank, did you play mouthwash or baseball. I never did. I got it. I own it. I never actually did it. I bet I would.

No, everything. It was just how hectic that was. Was that last year? That was the end of last year. Right at the bus type of five. Because there were a second I was like, do I need to put it in my game of the year?

Like, bots because I played that game. I love that game. But I guess. I want to keep it in your back pocket because it was very end of the year. Wow. Let's talk about Kingdom of Night. This came out December 2nd as well.

and true love. I had not heard about this until I just read it. And that sounds very out my alley. That sounds cool. This sounds totally your shit. This sounds very much my shit. As we watch it right now, oh, oh. Very adventure game looking.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I wonder how it feels and plays, but yeah. Oh, okay. We're seeing combat. We're seeing some pin points. Oh, and then you party. Oh, there's a terror dog from Ghostbusters. That's a copyrighted phrase, but I'll take it.

That's exactly what it looked like. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. You know what? You just sold me. All right. I'm going to say more impressive than I thought it would be. What's the name again? Kingdom of Night.

Kingdom of Night. Night spelled like nighttime, not like night, not like Knight who rides on a horse. That's the previous game that we talked about. 20 bucks on Steam right now. Friends of San. safety are the developers. And I like that quite a bit.

I'm in on that one. Cool. All right, great. Then a little game no one's heard of. Red Dead Red Dead Redemption. Of course, Red Dead Red Dead Redemption's been out your entire life, many of you listeners. But PlayStation 5 Xbox series switched to iOS and Android December 2nd as well. Experience the story of former outlaw John Marston as he tracks down the last remaining members of the notorious Van der Lund gang.

Oh, yeah. Oh, my God. Red Dead was so much fun. Yeah. Undead nightmare. I played it in 2015 and never played it again. Yeah. So, like, I would love to see what's up.

Okay. Well, or whenever it came out, when it, no, did it come out in 2015? No, 2013. Red Dead One? Or Red Dead Redemption? Yeah. I was in Los Angeles. I was Damon Hatfield.

I was in my room. It was 2010. We went to a Best Buy and bought it because that was when IGE didn't get games. So you got a reviewer, we get a code, maybe somebody, or not a code, a copy. I put myself in the wrong era of like living in Austin. Sure, sure, sure. That's all I got. All right.

Let's talk about Simogo Legacy Collection. one that you had been interested in. Yeah. And then, of course, it turned out it was all AI garbage. everybody flipped out. Yeah, I really like the original Let It Die that came out, oh, 20, it was like December of 2017, I want to say. Somebody check me on that. I feel like I might have nailed it.

And really dug it as kind of a very specific, obscure, free-to-play. If you know, Suda 5-1 games, right, kind of has that attitude because it's a grasshopper manufacturer series. Soulslike-ish gameplay with a run-based sort of thing going on to it in the video staff. Mike is struggling to Google Mike keeps Typing it shit and it's just more videos And he types in

Apparently it is Suit of 51 is how you say Oh I don't do that either. Yeah. But anyway, really like the original Let It Die. Me and Shuhay Yoshido were both fans.

They then put out a Let It Die multiplayer arena game a few years ago that came out and went, or came and went. Let It Die Inferno is sort of the follow-up to Let It Die. If you remember earlier in the year, I played Lost Soul Aside for about an hour, and I talked about and people were really upset. I played about five minutes of this and I didn't like it. But I played five minutes, I was like, I'm good. I don't want to do this.

Do you experience any of the multiplayer? aspects of it? Were you fighting other people? No. This isn't PVP? I was hoping it was at arena style one. I didn't get far enough to even care. Yeah, like I got far enough to mess around with the controls and the tutorial and I was just like, I just don't like how this feels or looks. Like nothing about this is doing it for me. And honestly, the biggest turnoff already going in was the AI stuff.

Yeah. And I was like, I don't, I already don't really want to play this game, mess around with it and went, I got better things to play. I don't really want to do this. It's sitting at 210 user reviews on Steam, all mostly negative right there. turn this on once similar to Bless. Yeah. Just to see what the hell is going on. So I'll turn it on once. Okay.

It is really weird. Like, it is like, if you're looking for some weird shit, it has all of it, but it has all that, but a lot of the weird shit, I'm like, is that AI weird shit or did a human put this together? Like, you'll see like a monster with like fucking mouths in weird places. And I'm like, this. Once you taint the waters, you never know. Yeah.

It's like, I just don't know what I'm looking at anymore. So there is. Okay. Good enough. From there, we move on to. this is actually just customer or not customer service, I guess customer service. I was going to say public service.

Lonely Mountain Snow riders was supposed to come out on December 3rd. It has been delayed. I've gotten a press release about this. Now it is just soon. But that makes it sound like very, very soon. I think you'll get it before the end of the year, but it's missing its date here. We're pushing for cert. Unfortunately, yeah. This game is already out. You can play it on other platforms. It is a ton of fun.

It just feels like I'm getting a bit more like accuracy as opposed to just kind of like, let me just spray this gun all over. You don't see that this game has eight-player split screen? They just said that in the trailer.

That's kind of late. You got to have a big TV for that. It's not even possible. You know these wide-screen TVs now? You split it in half once. How wide is that screen? Forward up there. You're all set. You're all ready to go. You're going to have some fun time.

From there, we roll into Cloudheim, early access on PC today as well. Ragnarock shattered the world. then the gods have chosen you to reshape the next one. Cloudheim is a one to four player action adventure that blends crafting with chaotic physics-based combat, awaken forgotten deities, drive back corruption, and upgrade your shop in the sky to bring harmony to a broken realm. Michael, I saw this today, Greg. I was actually on Steam looking around and I said, man, is this a Mike and Andy game?

It sounds like this is. A little survival crafting type look with it. You know, there's been so many. I still want to go back to that Sky one that we played, Lost in the Sky. Oh, Lost Skies. Lost Guys is awesome. But this one right here had kind of a vibe where I was like, oh, man, we might have to give this a try.

Yeah, the production levels and just the way all of the combat looks. Like, there's kind of an easy giveaway of the quality of a game and how much you're going to enjoy it is like, do the characters move in a nice way? Or do they look kind of janky when they walk? You know, like, so far, everything I'm seeing here looks very, very high quality. It reminds me a spellbreak a little bit. Yeah. Yeah.

Dude, bring back spellbreak as a single player RPG, dude. Oh, I can see that. That would be a big rework. Fuck. Yeah, there would be a lot of work, but, yeah. But again, this is the conversation I was talking about. If you have rich families, give the money to me. Yeah.

And then I'll say, I'm going to build a team and you're going to make a, hey, the team who worked on spellwork, because they laid off the whole team. They laid off everybody. Yeah, yeah. That so far what we've played, there is a brand new kind of shifting earth, which is kind of the way that they've add variables to what the environment is that you'll be fighting in. they added a bunch of new mini bosses while you are on your adventure and then they added two big ass bosses that are like the main ass ones that you're going after so we see here in the trailer there's a uh the dancing lion from shadow of the urd tree which was not in the the prior version and that's going to be in this in this version now um we see artorius right there we see all sorts of cool enemies that from souls games past and other elbin ring enemies that are now popping

and it's awesome so far. It's just got me hooked again. I just think, oh, yeah. I want to play. It's so good. I did have somebody in my YouTube comments saying like, wait, I thought Night Ring is D-L-Ring for Eldon Ring.

Is this D-L-C for the D-L-C? It's like, no, no, no, I raise just a different video game. It's a multiplayer video game. It has nothing to do with a single-player massive open-world campaign. It's a roglight multiplayer. It's one of my favorite moments, Greg, because it's a new map as well.

Yeah. And so you have that excitement of, like, learning something new, finding the strategy, finding your routes, getting completely lost, right? I've seen a lot of like polarizing stuff, but enough to where I know that the positives will severely outweigh the negatives that I may feel about it. It's just based on everything that I've heard about how the game is doing discovery and investigation and just and puzzle design and like those moments, those little light bulb moments you go, oh shit, that's what you, like that's what I love about. like my current adventure right now with Metroid Prime Remastered. And so, yeah, I feel like I'm going to really vibe with it. Yeah, I think right now I have the buy-in of somebody who just really, really enjoyed

Metroid Prime Remastered and wants to have more of that experience. But like, I feel like there are games that I'm, I'll play for a game of the year. And I'm like, I want to see if I want to play this to if it's going to be on the list. And based on what people are saying online, I'm like, I don't know if it's going to be a top five or I hope it is for me. Yeah. Yeah, for me, it's not a Metroid person. like oh yeah the game death house coming out why do they call it a souls like i'm very interested in like what that aspect of it is and i andy had the theory of like well probably so they don't probably so they don't make you think it's a roguelite because whenever you hear deck builder in an indie game you automatically assume that it's a slay the spire or an inscription or something or bellotro right like a lot of these games end up having that sort of structure to them and so the idea of playing a game that's more of an adventure you're going from point a to point b and you're experiencing the story of grief and sorrow and what this main character is going through. I really like that.

I think that has a really interesting slant to it. And it's got just one of those art styles. It's like, oh, they know what they're doing. This is a really good visual look. This isn't something, you know, trying to copy a whole lot of other things. It's just got such its own unique vibe. Yeah. Dome Keeper comes to Xbox December 9th.

This one has been out on PC for quite some time. Defend against waves of alien monsters in this unique role. rogue like action miner dig for resources collect useful gadgets and upgrade equipment anybody ever play it no is it speaking of you i remember seeing this the way he said no i i see we saw this on the xbox thing i believe yeah um it's it's one that like kind of got me like ooh it looks interesting yeah yeah i kind of reacted the same way when i saw monsters are coming oh yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah is awful name which is an awesome game also by the way yeah this looks fascinating i kind of forgot this

This one was going out of your list. Pay attention. Farming Simulator, Signature edition comes to Switch 2 December 9th. You know Farming Simulator. I haven't thought about that in years.

But yeah, I remember it. So good for you if you need to play farming simulator on Switch 2. Then Keyborg comes to switch December 9th. Keyborg is a relentless rogue light beat him up. where you enhance your body with new cybernetic implants each run. You've been sent to the worst prison in the galaxy for crimes you didn't commit. Death won't provide an escape, but a violent reality show may offer you a way out. This is another one that's been on PC, but I had not heard of it.

And then it does sound up many of you all's Allie. It's like, this is exactly what you want out of a, out of a double A game. Like this looks really cool. Yeah, yeah. There's like, there are people that are like just paying to have bots that monitor the Pokemon ZA category on Twitch to then go in there and be like, why would you buy this? But they start off like this, bless. Is this game, is this just like one, city or what? Oh my god, that's

crazy. And they do like, this kind of like, I'm going to pretend to be coy and curious about this. And then they're like, wow, so you spent like that much on this? Like, like, and then they start kind of like harass you and they're like, you got to be better with your money. And they start talking shit to you. I thought it was a person, but it's like

it's just these bots out there. It's so bizarre, man. It's so fucking weird, dude. All bots. Garchum. All bots. All right. After Pokemon on December 10, you get Montezuma's Revenge, the 40th anniversary edition, all the consoles,

Mutant Football League 2 comes to PlayStation 5, Xbox and PC, December 10th. Mutant Football 2 is a hard-hitting arcade-style football game that combines intense gameplay. We love to all those games. And like there's something there where it's like NFL blitz in 2025 would be amazing, right? And all of a sudden I found Super Mutant Football League and I was like, what's going on here? And it is so much fun. The problem is it didn't feel great, the first one. There's something about the turbo and the way your player runs and gets speed going that never felt as good as NFL Blitz,

but it is over-the-top dumb. You can be the Mile High City Chronic. They all have fun names after NFL teams, and I love that. You can be different styles and genres of, you know, mutants from zombies to werewolves to orcs, you know, I like all that. This game I have really high hopes for.

If this can come out and just make me smile and have a good time, I'm in. So I was, you mentioned a couple years back, I remember perusing the walls of freeze frame in far Texas, where I would go rent games from. And I remember seeing as a kid on the wall, Super Nintendo game, and I thought it was this, but it was Mutant League football. That's this.
