What's up, everybody? Welcome to the Kind of Funny Games cast for Monday, June 29th, 2026.
I'm one of your host Greg Miller alongside Forbes 30 under 30
AKA New York Game Awards nominated
AKa Bicep Poppy.
Blessing at E. O. Yee Jr.
Good day, Greg.
Good day. How are you doing well? How are you doing?
Good. We killed that games daily.
Crushed it over.
Next to you, of course, the master of hype snowback, Mike.
You guys are really good. Very informative.
Now, when you wear the athletics jersey,
do you mourn them? Do you think about how you're going to be able to flip it one day,
sell it for?
Yeah, you always got to say bring them home whenever you see another fan.
you know what I mean.
Sacramento's not home.
Vegas isn't home.
No.
Bring them home.
But I'm not driving to Sacramento to see a game.
I like that about it.
Absolutely not.
I appreciate that.
They're going to Sacramento.
They're already in Sacramento.
They're doing this season there.
They're deep in it.
Wow.
Just this is just a little.
You want to go to Vegas after.
Yeah, Vegas is being built right now.
I think this is season two already in Sacramento.
So I think they'll do three, maybe four, depending on build out time.
I like, Vegas isn't even ready, but they're like, get them out of here.
Get them out.
it's like why Oakland
Oakland what you're gonna do
and over there it's Samira's father at Tim
Getty's true it's me I'm here
I'm at a top of video games I'm good
well how's the weekend I've been talking about
my weekends are different now
yeah I'm a dad now
it's the whole thing
out of a two year old's birthday party
you know what I mean
at one year old's birthday party I'm just like
but same is getting a lot out of him
oh yeah so much out she's really enjoyed
oh yeah it's so worth it
yeah you know what I mean
less of the year she's definitely all over
exactly all over there man
I dodged the sun, though.
Wow.
I mean, you know, no, all things considered.
Yeah.
Could be worse.
I'll say that.
Mike, how was your weekend?
Still coming off of it, you know what I mean?
What a weekend.
This guy had a big, big outing with Greg Rice.
Me and my boy, Greg Rice, I said yes to adventure.
Of course.
Greg Rice took me friends and family to Japanese breakfast.
First time ever hearing about this band.
I was thinking about going to that.
And Stern Grove, beautiful, Tim.
Yeah, if you're going, I might have gone.
Blessing.
It was.
Epic.
What an incredible concert venue that we have here in San Francisco.
As many don't know, Greg, do you know your history about Stern Grove?
They don't sell tickets.
I've ridden my bike through it.
All a lottery system.
It's like a nice, like, kind of charity event that they put on 16 weeks through the summer every Sunday.
So you don't buy tickets.
You get GA, like, lottery tickets to get to go and be a part of it.
They ask for a bunch of donations through.
but it is awesome. It was wicked
great. And then we left and went
to a Valkyrie's game. Awesome. They got to have
basketball. That place is sold out
too. Shout out to the Valks. Selling out
the entire Chase Center. Wow.
That's impressive stuff. Saw
the Liberty, you know. Sabrina on
that team. Stewie on that team.
Going Stewie. Some goats.
So it was a great time. And so I'm still
coming back to life. I like that. I like that.
And then I played some video games late night because you know
I still got to play my game. You have some review
and bargain was coming. I'm well aware of it. You
said you're going to be all about that game, you better be. Of course, we're all about video games here.
Kind of Funny. Of course, we run a live talk show network talking about video games each and every
weekday on YouTube.com slash Kind of Funny Games, Twitch.tv.tvon TV slash kind of funny games and
podcast services around the globe. If you want to be part of this show, the Kind of Funny
Games cast where we're running through every game game coming out in July. Superchat,
YouTube.com slash Kind of Funny Games. Wow. Just like Chaos Killer 7 did,
who said, making good on my promise from last month,
donating each and every month until the Elder Scrolls 6 is re-announced.
Happy early birthday, Tim.
Oh, my God, thank you.
We're going to make so much money off of me.
Yeah.
Mike, buy another sign.
Yeah, hell, yeah.
We're diving deep.
What's the update on the sign?
It's currently 200 miles away, just sitting there.
Do you know where I got shipped to?
Yeah, home.
No, no, just Tim.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Is there a plan or?
Ta-ha.
Yeah, you know what I mean?
There's no rush.
We got fourth of jip.
July this weekend. Can we talk about it?
There are light and fireworks off of the Golden Gate Bridge for the third time ever.
They've only ever done that for the bridge's birthday twice.
Fourth of July on the bridge?
So I said,
You're going to be there? Of course I'm going to be there.
Come on.
When I was driving up to that Sonoma Raceway to take in my NASCAR race, I saw that, yeah, the bridge is closed from like from 8 to 11.
So can you be on, are you going to walk on the bridge?
No, I'm going to be at Chrissy Field Marine.
Okay, okay, okay.
Yeah, you got to think about now you start thinking of viewing angles, right?
Yeah, and Greg and Bless.
It's like Chrissyfield, Marina Green, that's the hot spots.
That's going to be insanity, right?
Then you think about on the opposite side, Salcido, going to be popping.
But then the bridge will be locked up.
How do you get across?
Then you're going to be going to be trapped.
Or do you do the Nick Scarpino comedy on a boat, you know what?
If you get on a boat so you can see that from the water.
Then I was thinking lands end over the far side.
That's my favorite.
But like I don't think you want to be inland.
I think they're shooting from the front side.
You want to see the city.
you're on the opposite side, you're not seeing it.
Yeah.
But like, let's just say this.
Litt. I'll be there.
Let's just say this.
Let's just say this.
Remember, we wouldn't be here without our producers on patreon.com slash
Kind of Funny.
So thank you, Carl Jacob, Zomega Buster and Delaney, the Psalm Twining, and Lacks, no man.
I did the Tim thing, right?
And it did it too early.
Yeah.
Lacks, we love you.
For now, let's begin the show with what is and forever will be.
Topic of the show.
Tots, dots, dots, dots.
Every game coming out in July 2020.
If you're new around here each and every month,
we go through every game coming out on
releases.com and talk about
if we're into it, if we're not, if there's something more to say
about it. Are you ready to dive in, everybody?
Oh, yeah. July 1st,
high on life two. Oh, we've hyped on July?
We're feeling good about July? No.
No. 6.5 out of 10.
Greg's a hard no. I don't think it's bad.
I just, I mean, we've had bang or
a month, bang or month packed in.
July has some fun stuff. I'm not saying
that I'm not saying.
What's okay with just,
I'm not saying turn the fucking episode off.
I'm just saying, oh, there's too many games.
Oh, it's hard to find discovery.
That's true.
I'm very excited to be able to.
And now there's,
now is a chill month.
You all mad about it?
I'm not,
I'm not.
I was just not exciting.
Can I get the kind of funny reviews score
which is 6.5?
Bless, it's okay.
Yeah, exactly.
It's okay.
What would you rate this month already?
I'm not going to get a number.
Oh,
you're such a little coward.
Why do you have to rate everything?
Little shirt.
I'm just excited for video games.
Can I be excited for video games?
No.
We don't do.
that anymore. High Life 2, of course, we're presented by High Life 2,
finally making its way the Nintendo Switch to on July 1st.
But then, July 2nd, rhythm, heaven, groove comes to switch.
Time your button presses to the beat across a splashy collection of games that will
challenge your rhythm. Catch flying veggies, bounce fruit off your biceps. That's you,
bus. Swing, sledgehammers, and more. Feast your ears on catchy original music while
you focus, including tracks by renowned Japanese musician.
Sun Kuhn.
This is coming up for 3999.
Timothy, you're my
Nintendo Switch boy. Is this
doing anything for you? I'm excited for it to be
my very first ever, Rhythm Heaven.
Okay. I have appreciated
the franchise from afar, mainly through others
enthusiasm for it,
and just from its representation in
Smash Brothers over the years. Got it. So
I like rhythm games. I like Nintendo, so I can't
really see how this goes wrong.
But yeah, I've never had the chance
to play it before, but it also
is from an era of Nintendo that is kind of
like not my favorite thing like the
DS even like
Game Boy Advance really weird experimental
stuff is not
my jam when it comes to the Nintendo stuff
I've fallen to some of the other lanes
a little heavier so we'll see but
I am excited to give it a shot
anybody else
I'm excited for this yeah I'm like Tim
I never played I never played actual
Rhythm Heaven but I have played indie games
inspired by Rhythm Heaven for sure
and a few years ago there was a game called
Melatocet
that came out.
That's one of them.
And I love that game.
That game has such a fun vibe, such fun style, really good in music.
So I'm excited for this just to see, like, play the original, play the one that made
everybody nostalgic and have love for this style of game.
And I think the art style is cute.
And I don't expect it's going to be that much of a commitment of a game.
Oh, yeah, for sure.
And so if I can get this done in like five hours, I'm good.
I'm excited.
Okay.
Yeah, it doesn't do anything for me.
Michael?
No, Greg.
No.
not lighting my fire right now.
We'll keep our eyes peeled. July 2nd,
right around the corner. Also, July 2nd,
hyperwired coming to PlayStation 4 Xbox series,
X, Xbox, yada, yada, yada, yada, yada, yada.
July 3rd sees Scholar Adventure,
mystery of silence come to Xbox 1,
Switch, PlayStation 5, etc., etc.,
undergrounded on PC.
July 6th gets
e-sports manager 2026 on PC,
and then July 7th, Doom the Dark Ages,
revelations comes to Xbox series,
PC, and PlayStation 5.
Hell freezes over and doom the Dark Ages revelations
In all nude campaign expansion
All new, not nude, campaign expansion
That unleashes a brutal new chapter of the Slayer's saga
Wounded and betrayed the slayers thrust into a merciless purgatory
Only escapable by confronting, haunting truths and forgiving
No, forging new strengths
With the help of a mysterious ally
Like anybody?
Yeah, it's odd because doom the dark ages for me
Like I liked it, I didn't love it, I wasn't over the moon on it,
So it's like I enjoyed my experience.
I'm sure I'm going to jump into this.
Have a great little weekend of ripping through all the levels.
And then just kind of walk away.
Yeah, I love that they're doing DLC for it.
I'm very hit or miss it on video game DLC in general.
Like I'm usually it's tough for them to capture me because it's been a year.
It's taking so much time off.
I've taken time off.
And I'm like, oh, I had my time with this game.
It's hard for me to like want to come back like that.
But I really liked to doom the Dark Ages.
And so this will very much be an in the moment decision for me of like when this is out.
Am I feeling?
that doom feeling do I want to hop into it
but really cool that is coming out now.
Yeah, I know Andy was our big
Dark Age, just specific guy, so I'm
interested in what he has to say about this one.
I'm with you blessing the DLC stuff
of like it's kind of hard to get excited for it sometimes
even if it, in the moment when you're playing the game
and the credits roll and you're just like,
man, I want more right now.
By the time it comes, it's like,
I don't know if I'm ready to get back in it.
Are there games that we've been playing this year
that y'all think that you're definitely going
to want to play the DLC for?
because for me, James Bond
and I was going to say
RY-07 or the two.
Oh, Ari.
Yeah.
James Bond for sure.
I would go Pocopia.
You know, I think it's August right.
We have that new land coming.
That'll be a day one.
I'm booting that up,
getting me sure I'm back into that.
If they put out Screamer D.L.C.,
which I do not expect,
I'll be all in on Screamer D.L.
That's a good call.
Of course, Doom the Dark Ages,
Revelations, DLC, cost $19.
It's a standalone purchase.
But if you have premium or collectors,
it's included for free.
Taros also.
People bring up
tag mad at i actually wouldn't want dlc i i would rather them just like heads down let's get a sequel
out yeah excited to beat that oh yeah how far are you uh i want two reviews have shown up to
throw me off my track i'm i think five hour six hours are you are you were really high on it
last time i talked to i was super high on it i i it's that thing where it's like i'm always excited
to try a new game and be probably i'm but i'm like i miss it i miss it last night i was like playing
this stuff but i'm like i miss pragmatic uh also on july 7th moonlight peaks
Switch PC, Switch 2,
The Caribou Trail on PlayStation 5,
and Snow Runner Season 18
Patch and Power on Switch 2.
Then July 9th,
Assassin's Creed Black Flag
Resink comes to Xbox, PlayStation, and PC.
The iconic solo pirate adventure returns.
Sail the Caribbean as Edward Kenway
during the Golden Age of Piracy
in this faithfully enhanced remake
featuring stunning visuals,
upgraded gameplay, and new content.
It will be 5999.
Barrett, I got to start with you.
How pumped are you?
You went and did a preview event for us.
I did do the preview for this, what was that, a month or two ago.
And yeah, at least with my time with it, right, it seems to be living up to that promise of,
hey, we're going to make Black Flag even prettier to today's standards.
And we're going to make it play a little bit more modern.
It seems like they're hidden that with the time that I've had with it.
So, yeah, I'm excited.
This is one of my favorite in the series.
you know, I'm the opposite of blessing.
I love pirates.
I love piracy.
I love, you know, fighting against, you know, the crown and all that shit.
And Edward's story, I think, is a really good one and one that stands out even today amongst the rest of the series.
So I'm excited to go back to it.
You wouldn't download a car, Barrett?
Yeah, I would.
Because who the fuck is it hurting, blessing?
No one.
Yeah, I loved Black Flagg back in the day on my PlayStation 4.
And then listening to you, Barrett, talk about this one.
I was like, damn, this sounds really cool.
I'm anxious to jump in and see if it'll just be a fun, hey, I'm back for a weekend,
or if I'm going to, hey, I'm going to run through this and steamroll through it.
Yeah, Barrett, do you think you're going to see this one to the end,
or is it more of like just get your fill and kind of bounce off?
I'll probably see through it until the end because I'm interested to see how they adapt,
like the modern day stuff, because that's been a big conversation that, like, we,
we talked about during the preview period that, you know, they're not doing like straight up adapting the OG modern day stuff from the original game.
So, but with how Assassin's Creed games works back in the day, a lot of like big plot story shit would feed into modern day stuff.
And there's kind of like a big moment at the end of Assassin's Creed black flag that ties that all together.
So I'm fascinated to see on my own how do.
they try to pull that off if they even try to do that?
I don't know. It'll be interesting. So, yeah, I do want to see this all the way through.
And then also see, like, all of the extra stuff that they're including.
Because I think there's, like, a full new chapter that they're including into, like, very late game stuff.
So, yeah.
Michael, are you going to play this one?
Yeah, Assassin's Creed, Black Flag was the peak of my Assassin's Creed, right?
We go into Black Flag. I start to slow down around Unity and, and, you know,
syndicate, right? Fall off by Odyssey Origins and Valhalla. Come back on for Mirage with, of course,
Bear, we had a great review on that one that I really enjoyed. And so I'm at this weird point of
like none of these games from Shadows, the big three have brought me back to Assassin's Creed.
I don't know if like an old 360 title will not or not, but like I hold it so dearly to my heart
that I want to jump in, experience it again, see how far I get, right? There's a lot of boat combat.
there's a lot of, like, slow down riding from island to island.
So we'll see if I, like, slow down on that or if that will be like, hey, we're back on the boat.
The sea santies are carrying me along and I'm having fun.
Or if it's like, hey, like, man, I really don't like how slow this was in between times, but I like the on foot combat.
That'll be the interesting thing for me with it where, you know, for playing it back in the day, it was, I was trying to do everything on every island, 100% every island.
And then eventually zoomed down, it was like, I'm never going to do.
So now I'm wondering if I come back.
and if I play it more like a summer blockbuster,
if I'm just going to follow the main missions,
will I be committed to it or I'll just be like, cool?
I'm fine.
It's also, yeah, like an old AC game.
So if you'd really just like stick with the main stuff,
like it's not one of the recent ones where it's like 80 hours or whatever.
Like this is back into like more of that 20, 30 hour territory, I think.
July 9th also sees the one, the only's echoes of Ein Krad,
come to PlayStation 5 PC Xbox Series X.
Ignacio Rojas, this is the moment.
Step into Eyncrad, a world of beauty and danger,
where every battle could be your last.
Create your hero, choose your gear, and master combat
by building synergy with your partner,
leveling up and unlocking special abilities
to expand your horizons.
This is, of course, Bandai Namco, 69-99.
This is the Sword Art Online game
that Ignacio's been talking about.
I've been interested in it as an ARPG.
There is a demo out now,
through the prologue and more.
I did it last night.
And I am,
you know what I mean?
Like, there's a lot to like about it.
Really great art style.
I think the combat feels really good.
Tim,
are you familiar with the overall story
of what's going on here?
Definitely not.
So you are playing a person
who's playing the game.
Okay.
So I'm playing, in quotes,
an VR MM-M-O-R-PG in this game.
Everyone's favorite.
So you're like in the thing with other people.
And so like I'm running around last night as the character in the game.
And then you get paired up with a guy and he starts talking.
And oh, doggie?
Are they talking like they're in an E3 demo?
Do you want to party up?
I'm going to send you a friend request.
This is content.
And I'm like, all right, gamer.
This is little nails on the chalkboard in terms of the narrative.
And also then you get out and I was running around doing stuff.
And it's like you are, it's a single player story, but you are playing it as if you're an MMO.
so you're doing MMO style of quests of running around
and killing a bunch of boers and stuff
and I'm like, a lot of great games right now.
A lot of great games I can be playing right now.
So I don't know if I'll see that one
when it actually drops through,
but there seems to be something there.
I went in the middle of us selling blessing,
I went and watched the story trailer
because I'm like,
the story can't just be that I'm playing a video game, right?
And I watched through it with the sound up
and I was like, okay,
you're getting somewhere that could be interesting,
but I would have liked it have just gotten there.
Yeah.
I don't know if I'll actually get there
when it comes to time,
but bless, are you interested at all?
Not really.
when they were gearing up to announce this one,
I think it was being teased that
Fan Night Namco was making a new third person
AAA anime game.
I was like going through my head of like,
oh,
what I wanted to be.
And then when they announced this,
I was like,
sort of online is a anime that I tried watching like 10 years ago.
And I watched the first episode immediately went,
this is not for me.
Like it feels too kiddie.
Feels too like plucky.
I think same things totally that you're not liking
are some of the things that I just didn't like
or how the characters spoke.
But I've heard.
heard people be excited for this one.
Like I'm sure there's like a market for it slash some
fervor if you're in the market for like an action
RPG of this style. But no, it doesn't do it for me.
Especially right now when I'm playing Xenoblade Chronicles.
Someone in the chat said they wanted to know what Andy thought of it
or would be interested to know what Andy thought of it.
We talked a bit on our marathon stream when Ignacio showed up.
Andy tried the demo as well and he was like, I'm not feeling how it feels
to play.
Like he was, I didn't understand what he's talking about it 100%.
But when you're running and you jump, no matter what you land and do a little
roll. And he's like, I ain't about that.
And I was like, weird. I did it last night. I was like, oh, that doesn't
feel good. I don't like that at all.
We're still on July
9th. We're getting Grand Blue Fantasy Relink.
Endless Ragnarok coming to just about everything.
And then Mike, it's your time.
Backyard Baseball, PlayStation 5, PC,
Xbox, and Switch. With the
arcade style classic is back, and it's
leveling up with enhanced gameplay,
new game modes, and all the
humor and charm of the original. This is
backyard baseball, like it was
always meant to be played.
wishless now for opening day on July 9th.
Are you ready to play like a kid again?
3999.
Michael, take it away.
Yeah, this is the big deal one.
Of course, we all know backyard sports from back in the day.
This is Megatat Studios now with their first true run at it.
Shout out to that team for bringing all the backyard sports games,
most of them back onto the Steam Store page so we can play them relive the magic.
But this is their true Mega Cat Studios backyard sports game.
I'm very excited for this one.
Highly anticipated, of course, to jump back into the yard, be able to draft all the kids.
They're letting you make your own player like some of the games did.
It looks like they do have some pros in there as well.
It's shaping up to be everything that I want.
I'm excited to go hands on the sticks with it.
This is one I haven't played any of the demos.
I'm just waiting for opening day.
All right.
Can't wait.
Is this like, this seems like a Mike Dream project.
Oh, I mean, yeah.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Every time I saw this team at GDC, I couldn't stop wanting to ask them questions.
and be involved.
I think it's the greatest.
Yeah.
It's so cool.
I'm excited.
Now the question is,
how does it feel?
Right?
Because now we're going into 3D.
It's clearly not point-click sports like it used to be for the kids on PC.
It is very much going to be an arcadey, almost super mega baseball-esque feel, I bet, to it.
And I'm pumped up for that.
I'm excited.
I need this to be good because I want backyard soccer so bad.
Like that was mine that I played so much growing up.
Backyard soccer might low-key be one of, be the best.
It was so good.
basketball was good, football's great.
They're all actually fantastic.
Is this the new one?
Yes, this is what it looks like.
Okay.
A little different than what you thought, huh?
Yeah, yeah.
It's a little different.
Those are pros.
Oh, they're pros.
That's so funny.
I recognize the kids more than I recognize the pros.
I'm like, who's this Jason guy?
Also, to be fair, to that video, the highest quality I could find was 720P.
I don't know what's going on there.
Nobody else that's going on there.
From there, you get Gunvolt Chronicles,
luminous Avenger, IX,
1 plus 2, dual collections,
Switches, PlayStation.
We're still July 9th, by the way.
Grand Blue Fantasy Relink comes Switch to,
and then EA Sports College Football 27
comes to PC, Xbox Series X in PlayStation 5.
Is this a mic day or what?
It really is.
Are we back for our third year, Tim?
Can you believe that?
I can't.
I can't believe we are back for our third year.
continues to sell.
When we got that first one, I was like, not a chance.
We're going to get just one done.
Y'all love the first one.
I don't remember.
Second one, when I said it was better.
So did the reviewers.
You put it on fantasy credit.
I was like, no way they're going to get annualized.
It's going to be a living nightmare.
Nope, better.
And this one, if you didn't know, already tracking to be the best of all time
because Truman the Tiger from your Missouri Tigers is in fact in the game finally.
Yes.
It brings my heart that every single time this game comes out.
I happen to be out of town.
I think I might be out of town again.
Because you guys always do the tail game.
And I look from afar and I'm like, if I was playing as you of I right now,
you guys are saying no chance.
Yeah, I mean, big deal.
I can't, similar to Greg, I didn't think we were going to go annualized on this.
I thought they would maybe go one year, wait another year, then come back.
But to see them and say, hey, we're doubling down on this.
We are going back to the early 2000s, which was just maddened in NCAA football back and forth.
And they're doing the whole thing to tie them together, right?
Here we go.
And so, yeah, I'm really excited for this one.
Year three, what are the improvements?
Of course, it is mascots.
have the mascot games back, which is excited.
So, like, yeah, I can't wait to finally play this and see all of the progression they've made.
This is a team that is taking a lot of feedback from year one into year two.
They know what we all want, which is Dynasty, Road to Glory, right?
They want to make that even deeper than it already is and add in everything that people want.
So I'm pumped up for this.
I can't wait.
We don't have to wait long.
July 9th also sees forward to the sky on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
From there, it's July 10th, Digimon, Time Stranger.
It comes to switch and switch to another Ignacio Roelho.
Another classic.
It's time to play it to.
There's never been a better time.
And then Powell World.
Damn.
1.0 PC.
Is this a snow bike Mike Day or what?
Fight farm, build, and work alongside mysterious creatures called Pals in this completely new
multiplayer, open world survival and crafting game.
Of course, it's out right now in early access for $30.
You could get it for $21 with the steam sale as of right now.
I don't, I couldn't find.
off the top of my head, I wasn't looking that hard.
If the price goes up when it goes to 1.0.
1.0 is happening on that day.
Mello Fresh Super Chaston says,
Game of the year, 2024 releases 1.0 this year.
That's right, everybody.
Powell World, with every part of the game being improved,
it's time to drop back in Kissy emoji.
Mike, take away.
Mellow fellow.
Melo Fellow, you freaking get it, my dude.
Great job. It's the dream Pokemon game, Tim.
It's what we've always wanted.
They nailed it, man.
And, God, it's just so much fun.
This giant open world, survival,
in game mixed with the Pokemon.
You got to catch them to add them to the team
and then being able to go
in battle for towers,
different larger other Pokemon and territory.
Then on top of that, you go back
with your pals and you're on the base
and they're building things out for you
in the automation side of it.
Fantastic work.
Mike, what's the last time you hopped into Power World?
Not since 2024.
Oh, wow.
That first year. Yeah, yeah. Yeah.
Are you back for 1.0? I will go back for 1.0.
Chris Anka back.
I'll force him to come back.
You got a force.
See, now here's a tough one.
There's a lot of 1.0's coming.
We got Vellheim right around the corner and shrouded, I think, just hit 1.0.
There's a lot of these survival crafting games trying to get at me.
But secretly, this one's my favorite.
So it's like, I'm going to push for this one in the group.
Tim, any chance they get you to turn it up out?
No.
Okay.
No.
You would like it.
I mean, I don't know that I would, Mike.
Like, everything about it's like, this is not my dream Pokemon game.
Like, at all.
July 10th's final game is Colonies of the Remnant on PC
July 13th
C's July 13th sees
Ascend to Zero come to Xbox
Then we move to July 14th
D-Topia comes to Switch 2 Switch PlayStation 5 and more
Urban Strife comes to PC
Then Hell Clock
Comes to PlayStation 5 and Series X
This is when I tossed down there
I might just be up my alley
Forge powerful builds with endless loot
In this relentless combination of rogue-like
and A-R-PGG
blast through dungeons and unleash inhuman powers
in a dark fantasy twist on Brazil's War of Kandoros.
This is a 2025 game on PC
that's getting its full console release.
Obviously, these updates have come to PC throughout it.
But I glanced at, I was like, damn,
this actually looks kind of cool.
You know, Mike, you know how much I love my ARPGs.
You know how much I love Diablo,
but I'm always so over.
I love Pathevags on Yetia, but I'm over the,
it's all gothic demons all the time.
So giving me a cool little art style here,
giving me just a shake up in that shift.
That's enough to make me go, okay, I'm going to pay attention to this.
And then you drop in the rogue light thing.
I don't know if that I'll work or not work for me, but it's an interesting idea,
and I like them tackling this war of kanduros.
You know what?
I also love when you jump into new ARPGs because you get an appreciation for the genre.
But most importantly, you see what other teams are doing,
and you're like, you come back to the conversation with like,
hey, here's some things I saw from Path of Exile that I really liked
that I'd love to see on the Big Diablo one.
I love having those conversations with you.
Yeah, just a cool little, I mean, I don't think it's, I don't know how to describe it.
He looks like he's in a period piece, which I appreciate it.
Yeah.
I'm thinking on top of just in general, killing a bunch of monsters.
A nice little comic bookie cartoon art style.
I don't know.
I'm going to check it out.
That, of course, July 14th.
Also July 14th.
Factory Town 2 Paradise on PC.
Battleplan on PC.
And then the incident at Galley House on PC.
In 1936, something terrible happened at Galley House.
Decades later, with a strange contraption that were.
reveals echoes of the past, you must uncover the truth behind this grizzly mystery.
Yes, this is one that I added.
It's from the same devs as the root trees are dead.
Oh!
Yeah, which was a really cool detective mystery game that came out.
A lot of nominations.
I bought it and never actually played it.
Yeah, and like same here, right?
Thinking that I have that I've wanted to play that I never got around to and very much
fits within that blessing style of like mystery, figure out who done it sort of game.
This seems like it's a very similar thing.
art style looks really cool
like you're looking like a lot of
I want to say still images
but like just a lot of art
like 2D art of characters
characters I should say
yeah it's one that I know
is going to appeal to a lot of the people
that loved the root trees are dead
so I'm gonna make sure to pat it out here
I got a wish list for me
I'm interested to see what they're all about there
okay
have you been following this for a while or is no
I mean I'm I know I'm probably annoying
Barrett because I'm adding in quite a few things
because we talk about all the time
me and you great but like Steam's calendar
feature is so good
if you go to the Steam store
go under recommendations.
They have your personal calendar,
which uses algorithm to basically tell you,
like, hey,
if you're the games that are coming up this month
that we think that you would like.
And there are quite a few games
that I don't see pop up on the releases.com thing
that do pop up here where I'm like,
oh shit, this is a gem right here.
Let me give you a little bit more from the Steam page,
right?
The incident at Galley House
is based on the acclaimed text-based
browser game type help,
remastered for Steam by the creators of the root trees are dead.
It's the same haunting game of deduction,
now with many enhancements.
an all new fully illustrated visual novel presentation,
full professional voice acting,
a mysterious 3D interface for navigating memories,
an eerie original soundtrack,
and new content and puzzles to explore.
Honestly, it's probably a free,
fancy critic pick right here.
Don't be giving it away.
Don't be given it away.
My team's already full, so.
Fair enough.
Speaking of being full,
there's a couple of games to talk about on July 15th,
but before then, let me remind you,
we wouldn't be a full house of 11 people for 11 years.

This episode is brought to you by High On Life 2.
Just four months after the February release of High on Life 2,
the Squatch Games team is back with the Kind of Funny crew.
Last time the dev stopped by, the game hadn't been released,
which forced them into a very painful, agonizing, secrecy.
Today, though, the NDAs are off,
and they can pretty much say whatever they want without getting yelled at.
Mostly, they really want to talk about the following, though.
A demo is now available for Xbox, PlayStation, and PC as of this week.
Also, High on Life 2 is on sale for the first time as part of Steam Summer Sale,
which kicks off June 25th.
High on Life 2 hits Nintendo Switch 2 on July 1st.
Those are in no particular order of importance to us,

And we're back.
Remember if there's games you want to talk about for the month of July soundoff here with your super chats on YouTube.com slash Kind of Funny Games just like The Corrigal did.
Who says since no Kind of Funny Games daily tomorrow, here's my birthday text.
Thank you.
That's another June 30th birthday.
Just like you, Tim.
Hell yeah.
Happy birthday.
Speaking of that,
Silver Jay Hawkins says,
Tim, have you ever played
or gone down the rabbit hole
of Pokemon ROM hacks?
Two recommendations
would be infinite fusions
and crystal inheritance.
Many, many a time,
my friend,
Mario World ROM hacks
and Pokemon,
specifically like red,
blue, gold, silver rom hacks,
I would just go way,
way, way too deep in
back in the high school college days.
I mainly like the hacks
that were more like remasters
where it'd be like,
or D Masters even
like a Pokemon
Heart Gold and Soul Silver
but D made to be on GBA style
so like in Fire Red
Leaf Green style
I thought that was pretty cool
or just taking the older games
and like plusing them up
just sort of look better
but when it starts getting
all the randomizers and all that stuff
that's more Mike's domain
he has to teach me the ways one day
but yeah I love that stuff
on July 15th let me teach you
about Densha attack on Xbox PlayStation PC
I think it's everywhere
Flip trick and grind your train and a fast pace off the rails ride through a colorful Japanese dystopia.
Outmatch rival gangs, wreck a shady megacorp, and take back the tracks with nothing but speed, skill, and style.
This is 1999, and I know y'all are excited.
Yeah, games like this is why I'm fine with there not being a double seven or pregnant or Resident Evil this month, because then that gives me time to play games like this.
I played the demo for Dens Attack back in I want to say February during whatever Steam Next Fest that was.
and if you look at the footage of this game
which you know Greg read the description
but if you're an audio listener you're controlling a bus
a train whatever this is and it's very colorful
kind of dreamcast-esque style
when you talk about the vibrancy of it
if you're watching the trailer and going
oh man this looks fun from that demo it plays
as fun as it looks like it is
Tony Hawk it is like you know rhythm
game style you are you know using them
to them Twitch reflexes to like
try and do score attack type stuff.
I'm really into this.
I cannot wait for it.
I finally played the demo after being excited for it,
just seeing in different directions and stuff.
But there's just been a lot going on,
didn't realize the demo came out,
finally got to it a couple days ago.
I'm blown away with this.
Oh, yeah?
It is so much better.
It is so much more confident in a video game
than I expected.
I thought it was going to be like,
oh, this is like a cute little indie game
that's like going to be fun
and doing something unique and different
or like taking gameplay styles that we love,
but just putting a very wacky, fresh coat of paint on it.
It's so much more than that.
The gameplay is fantastic.
I can't believe what they had me pulling off in this,
even just in the demo.
So this is definitely like my by far highlight of July.
I think this has a lot of opportunity to be the neon white of this year,
as far as all of us playing and wanting to score attack and do all that.
All right.
Last look forward to then on July 15th.
After that, you got The Mound.
This is still on July 15th.
The Mound, Omen of Cthulhu.
Xbox PlayStation PC, and then T2, PlayStation 5, Switch 2, everything, PC.
Well, I guess no Xbox.
Explore a world of mayhem and Michaels.
Join Titu, the blob and Nori the Bunny in this 3D action, or sorry, 3D adventure platformer
to stop the shadow corruption from spreading.
Absorb wild powers help eccentric characters and save the world, one Michael at a time.
Plus, you put this on here.
What's up?
I did put it on here.
I would say Tito.
What would you say?
Tito.
I said T2.
I would say like T-E-E-E-T-O.
Tito.
T-E-E-T-O.
Yeah.
But yeah, just added in here.
You could spell, you know, T-I-T-O, then I would know.
Because of my vodka is Tito's vodka.
It's not his name, though.
Could be.
N'N-B.
Of course, I'm a fan of platformers like many of us are here.
I'm a fan of 3D platformers.
And something about this one, I just kind of dig the energy.
Again, we're another very colorful, very vibrant one in terms of the style of it.
But then something about the characters, I think there's a generation of like,
N64 3D platformers specifically
Rare had the thing where it's like they just
put Googly eyes on things and now it's just
but something about this feels
like the evolution of that where you have a lot
of characters kind of do give that weird look but they
feel a bit less dead
in the eyes and I like that I don't know
July 15th also sees
Cozy Grove Camp Spirit comes to PC
that's the sequel to Cozy Grove which I tried
so hard to get into and just never could
and then what surrounds us on PC as well
July 16th
sees Moss the Forgotten Relic come to switch PC, PlayStation, Xbox.
Moss, the Forgotten Relic, is an emotional and atmospheric adventure set in the pages of a living storybook bringing with myth and ancient magic.
Guided tiny but determined hero on a heartfelt journey of challenge, courage, and connection if you're a longtime kind of funny fan.
You've heard me talk about Moss.
Moss, actually, aside from me on the PlayStation VR show, was an exclusive reveal we had 1E3 from a team who had broken away from Bungie in a couple of other places to make Moss.
It was VR.
It was stranded on there for a long time.
It had Moss and then Moss Book 2.
This is the definitive edition.
This is both books put together and coming everywhere for flat screeners to play.
I did the demo of this around SGF.
It's the Steam demo that is up right now and plays great.
It's Moss.
Can't wait to see if they did it.
My one thing and you kind of see it here is I didn't think it looked stunning.
Like Moss is a very pretty game, but obviously VR held you back on what you can make it look like.
Now that it's on a flat screen, I was looking at it.
I'm like, this doesn't come off as the most 4K eye-poppingly detailed thing.
And I did, but other than that, I mean, the gameplay is great.
The VO is still there.
I'm excited to play this.
When it was in VR, wasn't it like a diorama that you would like kind of look around?
It still is.
So, I mean, you know, it's like you're, as the cameraman, you're going to, you're still anchored looking into it one way or another.
And then you're moving your stick to interact as the godlike character.
But yeah, you can't even get down and like looking like you used to be able to.
but if memory serves it's been a while since I did the demo now
I think you can spin the world a little bit to look around it
but it's not like Captain Toad treasure tracker
where you're gonna miss a lot of stuff if you can and spin it over there
but I recommend the VR one so much that I'm very much looking forward to this final one
or not you know what I mean well probably final one defendant edition
if memory serves I think they might have laid people off but I need to check on that later
also on July 16th the mermaid mask comes to switch PC switch to
etc. Cull set begins comes to switch PC switch two
Power Wash Simulator 2, the Star Wars
Pack comes out everywhere. And then Heave
Ho 2 comes to Switch, PC, and Switch 2.
Get a grip. It's Heave Ho 2. The insane
2 to 4 player party game
sequel that takes the couch co-op mayhem
online for the first time. Grab what you can and swing
to win. Mike, I assume you put this on here.
No, I put this on here for Mike.
Okay. Yeah, I told Mike during the break, I was like,
I got something for you for party mode.
Yeah, me and my friends played this before
Heave Ho won via like
Steam remote play because it was couch co-op.
But this is like mount your friends type of silliness where you are just all about your arms
and you grab with both the hands and then you move around the map.
It's a very fun party style type game.
And so yeah, online, that's great for us.
You gonna play it?
I'll make all of us play it here, yeah.
Oh, great, okay.
Yeah, this looks like we'll have fun with it.
Yeah.
From there, we go to K-pop Idol Stories Road to debut, PlayStation Xbox PC, etc.
70-style robot anime Geppi-X, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, PC, and more.
Farlands on Switch, PlayStation, the Guild, Europa, 1410, PC, Early Access,
e-baseball Pro Spirit, 26, PlayStation 5, and PC.
Puppergeist on Switch, Xbox, and PC.
Hell Maiden on PC Early Access, Rec Runners on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox, Series X,
and then also July 16th still, Storebound on PC.
a one to three co-op puzzle horror game lost in a cursed megastore
worked together to find the exit before it's lurking horrors trap you forever
Mike I put this one here for you hold up base price 799 on a steam the steam cell
it's going on right now it is 599 this sounds like you're gonna game Mike some backrooms vibes
right here sure okay yeah let's put that down as well let's save that fair enough Mike do you
know they made an e baseball uh no I was looking into that one because it
is always interesting to see who jumped into the baseball and just sports market in general,
but I've never seen that one.
Well, that's a Konami joint because Konami did e-football, which is a very bad game.
I just did, I didn't know they did other sports.
So to see E-baseball.
I wonder how new that is.
I don't know how many years they've done that.
I wonder, yeah.
And then closing out July 16th is Pimblos.
Chaotic football matches for up to four players, use crazy power-ups, battle through unique
arenas and opponents and turn every friendly match into a chaotic showdown with friends.
It's blessing chasing his soccer.
Yes.
Juice.
And also foosball.
I grew up playing.
Oh, yeah.
I grew up playing so much foosball.
Every morning, every Sunday morning at church, they had a foosball table in the kids church.
Nice.
And I would be the reigning champion.
Just school kids?
Yeah, just killing it.
But I was also doing the thing where I just kept spinning it.
Yeah.
And I realized, as I grew older, I was like, oh, you're not really supposed to do that.
But I did it anyway.
This just looks fun.
I love the art style of it.
I love the idea of a foosball game.
Will it be fun?
Who knows?
It looks like it's fun, though.
It looks fun.
Yeah.
This is kind of an inspired idea.
Yeah.
I can't remember playing a foosball game before.
But like that's cool and all the powers and stuff.
Good for them.
We moved to July 17th.
Frozen ship comes to PC early access.
Fog piercer comes to PC.
July 19th sees
Maisie Leah.
Echoes of the past on PC.
July 20th is zero space on PC.
And then the life and suffering of
Prince Gerrian on PC.
This is a narrative role-playing game
telling the story of a crown prince
of the Blessed Archenean
Empire. You possess
great power, but are also burdened by
duty. Can you change the world
and stay true to yourself? Every
decision comes with a cost.
I put this on here as a Greg-ass game
as soon as you hear narrative anything, probably.
But I'm not a visual novel
guy. But looking through the
gameplay of this and the screenshots on
on Steam, they got me. Great art style.
It looks like a living, breathing comic, but then it is, which choice do you want to make?
And then there's RPG points to put into different characters that look like or builds or maybe the world that will then influence what's going on in there.
It, if this looks like maybe the one that breaks from that, it goes beyond just a normal visual novel of like, all,
you know, choose your own adventure kind of thing.
And this kind of gave me pentamid vibes, not at all in terms of art style gameplay, but in terms of what's going on in the world and maybe some of the behind the scene stuff.
I'm interested enough that I put this on my wish list
and I want to see more about it.
We moved to July 21st.
Seed comes to PC early access
and then Scarlet Deer Inn comes to PC
and embroidered dark medieval folk tale.
While life in a seemingly ordinary village
is all about simple chores and idle gossip
sinister secrets hide below.
Yeah, this is one I added
purely for the art style.
like the embroidered
art style they got going on here
looks really gorgeous
I don't know if there's a way to bring it up
I also don't know if we
it looks like one that we've seen before
but maybe there's a different embroidered game
I opened this one up and looked at it
and I for a second was like oh wait
no I haven't seen this I was confusing
with something else's problem
it reminds me of the fairy tale one that I played
a couple months ago
do you remember that one that looked like
straight out of the Disney animated one
oh what did they call that one
oh man you all know
it.
Everybody knows.
Sweet Carol,
by Sweet Carol.
Carol?
Yeah.
That sounds right.
Yeah.
Kind of giving that
with the side scrolling
vibes there.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Just saw this
and I really love this art style.
Yeah.
Very cool.
I like the other word bubbles
popping up in the embroidery.
I like.
Outside just watching it,
I don't like it.
It looks too simplistic for me.
Oh, really?
Yeah.
And that's not,
and it's not,
it's not something.
I don't like simple games.
There's just something about it.
I'm like, eh.
It doesn't,
I guess I don't know enough
about embroidery.
But I look at it.
I'm like, oh, it's embroidery.
Yeah, I just looked out.
I was like, oh, it's an interesting art style.
The planet crafter comes to Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5, July 21st,
drone sector on PC, coal-balt miner on PC, and then do drop Dynasty on PC.
Gun jump your way through a buzzing world full of quirky monsters, chirky puzzles, and outlandish bosses
in this fast-paced, light-hearted Metroid venue.
This is one of them Twitter games for me, where I see clips of it constantly,
and then I wish listed. I'm like, I can't wait for this to come out, but it feels like it's never actually going to come out. And here we are.
Here we are. Coming out. July 21st. 21st. Very excited. It looks cool. I like the boldness of the color in this one. Obviously, retro 2D Metroidvania's or a dime a dozen, but I like that this one has a slightly different take visually.
Do you think you'll actually put time into it?
We'll see. I'll give this one a shot. Like July's looking real slow for me, so this does look like something I'd like to spend some time with.
July 22nd sees Tears of Metal
Enter early access on PC
Tears of Metal is a medieval
hack and slash co-op
Roguelight. Carve through hordes
of enemies to reclaim your island
with the help of your formidable Scottish battalion.
As you advance deeper into the trenches
uncover more about the mysterious dragon
meteor and the treacherous enemy invasion.
This one is coming from paper cult games
who did Blood Roots
which is a game I absolutely adore.
and felt like nobody talked about after it came out.
But I was so proud of Andy that when this trailer debuted and whatever it was,
he re-oh, this looks like blood roots.
Like, yes, Andy, yes, it does look like blood roots.
I'm very, very, very fucking excited for this.
Worth pointing out, Raff, over at PaperCult, friend of mine.
So I'm pulling for him regardless.
I think I'm pop-I don't even know.
Yeah, Pop agenda is doing marketing or publishing or whatever for it as well,
which is my wife's company.
So take all of it with a grain of salt, but I'm ride or die for this.
I can't fucking wait.
Mike, are you going to jump in with me?
That's what I need to know.
I would ride with you for a stream if you'd like.
I would like that.
I just miss the days where we'd all come together on the couch and play Castle
Crashers.
You know,
you give me a four player medieval hack and slash.
Like,
it kind of brings me back.
So yeah,
I would check it out with you and Andy for a stream.
Thank you.
I would like that.
That would mean a lot to me.
Also on July 22nd is lifted on PC.
Get lifted.
Play as Slacker Ari.
The accidental wingman in his professor's manic.
Yeah,
Love Fuel Time Heist.
Swing, Climb, and Puzzle through history
to outsmart rival bomb raiders
in cinematic 80s Blockbuster Adventure.
Lifted is the artist formerly known
as Ari Buktu and the Anytime Elevator.
I previewed this
last year, two years ago. I'm not sure,
but blessed. I was trying to sell you on it.
Yeah, yeah. This is, the developer of this
is a former Disneyland Imagineer.
So, you're the first review on the Steam page.
Sorry what?
When you drop below the wish list button, it says reviews.
Quote, I haven't played a game this delightful in a very long time.
Kind of funny games.
Tim Getty's.
That's great.
And that's true.
A lot of fun with this one.
It's very simple.
It is, you know, we've been talking a lot recently about cinematic platformers.
That's what this is.
But it is more about the experience than it is about the challenge necessarily.
Big Back to the Future vibes.
Love that.
That 80s adventure.
And, yeah, it just has like kind of a Disney land.
vibe to it of the experience of waiting in line in the queue,
experiencing this kind of environmental story,
storyline going on,
and then you get the actual big set piece moments of the ride itself.
So, yeah, I played,
I think the demo was like an hour or so of this game.
And I enjoyed quite a bit.
So I'm happy it's finally seen the light of day.
I don't know why they changed the name.
I didn't love the first name.
I like lifted even less,
but I don't know that it really explains this game at all.
Sure.
But I'm hopeful for it.
Initially, glanced over it, glossed over it.
And then when I opened it up and read the Disney part, I was like, I don't know that your connection to it.
Or let alone how great that description is that.
That's a wish list for me.
You want to do an 80s blockbuster adventure.
Yeah, it looks really cool.
Yeah, let's go.
July 23rd sees Splatoon Raiders comes to switch to.
And a single player focused adventure play as a mechanic working with Deep Cut, a trio of swashbuckling musicians.
Inventure, is this real?
Venture out to the mysterious.
Is that really the Spiltoon description?
I fuck up.
And these are the islands.
It's 4999.
Andy, of course, is our resident squid kid, but he has the day off since he works so hard
in the stream.
Anybody else care about Splatoon 2?
Or Spolteer Raiders?
I have wanted a single player focused Splatoon for a very long time.
And there's always single player modes in the games.
I didn't really spend much time at all with Spletoon 1 back on the Wii U.
But I remember the Switch 1's launch year with Splatoon 2 coming out.
there was a couple flights where I was like,
all I'm going to do is play Spatoon.
And the core gameplay is a lot of fun.
So I kind of just want to campaign around that.
And that seems like what this is going to be.
There's something about the like Raiders who are on the island vibe.
I'm like, it's the monkey paw situation for me.
I'm like, well,
I want a campaign in the cool city that they're in.
You know what I mean?
Like I kind of want more of the vibes of the skyscrapers and all of that than this.
But beggars can't be choosers, you know.
So I want to give this one a shot.
but I don't think it's going to be the one for me,
but I do think that it's going to hit,
and I think people are going to really like it.
I imagine that a lot of people that for a decade now have been like,
I get what Spiltoon is, but it's not for me.
I think this one might be the one for them.
It feels like so ready for like a sunset overdrive type single-player campaign,
giant open world in the cool city.
You're painting around, splatting around, squidding around all the city streets.
It would be so cool.
cool. I'm more of a multiplayer guy, so I
will not be jumping into this. I like the
multi-pillar. I've never cared about Splatoon, but
I'm Ben obviously, I imagine
will be up his alley of him trying it out and seeing it.
So we'll see if that brings me in. Yeah, I was like in
the reverse camp of Tim of
it's not that Spatoon,
I wanted a single player's Spatoon. I think I just
decided that I just don't like Splatoon for whatever reason.
But with
Raiders, hearing Andy talk about it,
the rating aspect is the thing that
kind of gets me in. Like, hearing Andy kind of
describe like the upgrades and like the
formative and I'm kind of like, yeah, I'm down for a little like hop in, do this level, get as far as I can do whatever and then hop out and you know, I, something about it strikes me as like my kind of shit. I love Andy. And he's just trying to sell. Since the launch, every time he's seen it selling any of us on this, talking about what it is why we would like it. If you listen to the Spatoon Raiders preview, Andy kind of, no, there's been no preview. He's only seen he's only ever seen the stuff. Tomorrow I think it's the big day of it, right? With the direct is tomorrow. Yeah. Gotcha. No, he's just going off his Splatoon knowledge and what he sees in the train. He's only seen the
or whatever to make us go.
But he's always trying to sell like a
code knife salesman.
And I'm like, Andy, talk to fucking Ben.
It's not going to be me.
It's not going to be me.
Remember when he was a squid kid for a great Halloween?
Nailed it.
He was born for that.
Also on July 23rd blessing, Avatar Legends, the Fighting Game,
switch to Xbox One PC everything.
Avatar Legends, the Fighting Game is a fast-paced
1V-1 fighter where you battle is your favorite characters
from the Avatar franchise.
Featuring Handor on 2D animation,
true to the series's roots,
proprietary rollback net code and full cross play for smooth competitive gameplay.
It is 2999.
Super excited for this one.
This is one that I've talked about a million times, but like when they first announced
it, I'm like, sure, okay, an avatar fighting game, we'll see how good that is.
But the more we see it, the better it looks.
Like, I swear, like, even in the trailers, the art style just progressively gets better
the more we see it.
And then having, getting to play it at GDC, like, the game plays exactly as I wanted to.
Right.
I think they got something special with this, with the studio that,
making this where they are,
they know the scope that they want to hit,
which isn't like a crazy scope, right?
They just want to make a very solid fighting game.
These are people that have worked on fighting games before.
And it sounds like they know what makes a good avatar fighting game.
Like,
let people do the cool shit that the characters do, you know?
Do you think it's going to hit?
Oh, yeah.
Oh, I think for sure it's going to hit.
Now, how long is it going to hit for?
Are people still playing this a year from now?
All that stuff?
We'll see.
But I think this has at least an Evo in it.
I think we'll get to next year and they'll have it.
Yeah.
Okay.
I'm lofty, but I like it.
It seems to have the motion, though.
Every time we've gone to a big public event,
there's a crowd around this game.
Still on July 22nd, we see Empire and Decay come to PC.
Start a rebellion and fight chest-inspired turn-based combatants
in this rogue-like deck builder.
Upgrade your units and cards wisely.
You will need to progress through the districts of Dandria.
This city where the tyrant king awaits you.
Save this empire in decay.
Yeah, this is another Steam calendar joint where I saw it and went, damn, this is my type of shit, right?
Like, one, I'm a big pain of chess.
And so, it's funny, I'm not usually a tactical person, even though this year I've been trying to open myself up.
Tactical 2026, you know, played meugenics, can't wait for firearm.
But seeing even just the board, I'm like, okay, they kind of have that chest layout and then reading through it and then kind of talking about the rogue-like elements, the deck-biller elements.
This is the one that I, at the very least, when I try out.
Let me run you then through a bunch of games July 23rd.
Coltick comes to everything.
Disgaya Mayhem comes to everything, it looks like.
Claude comes to PC.
Oh, no way.
I like that Claude game.
What is it?
That's a fun...
Not Claude like the dead albano alligator.
No.
Shout out to Claude, but not Claude.
No, this is Claude.
The Dinosaur-Jurassic Park game.
Oh.
Picture PubG, like the look of
Player Unknown Battleground, but now imagine
we built the Jurassic Park
actual park around you
and you're running around the third person
action adventure shooter in that
hey thumbs up excited for that one didn't know what's coming out
Carnival Hunt comes to PC early access
Goorie comes to PlayStation PlayStation
PlayStation X-V is PC
Final Fantasy XX2 remastered comes to switch to
Hell yeah hell yeah it does
Tormentum 2 comes to PC
Rubenite comes to PC
High Times right up your alley Mike
Hey you had a dare pleasure and you fucking threw it
the window. PC Xbox,
PlayStation, everything. Helix,
descent and ascent comes to switch and PC.
Dodo Ducky comes to Xbox and PC.
Theropods comes to PC.
Yag, Sothuth's Yard comes to switch.
Whoa.
Yeah. I hope that's just a yard sale game.
Echoes from Seudella comes to PC.
A lot of Echoes games.
I'd bought Echoes of the end this weekend.
Pure Pool Pro comes to Xbox Series X.
And then we already had Empire.
decay. That takes us to July 27th. Forever Skies comes to
Series X. Mahau Arms comes to PC. Security 51
comes to PC. That brings us to July 28th
where Chief returns. It's Halo campaign evolved. PlayStation 5 PC
Xbox Series X. Of course, the Steam description reads, the Steam description reads
pre-purchase Halo campaign evolved and get the
founder of the Foundry Armory Pack featuring legendary looks for the Master
Chief's armor. Awesome. Thanks for that description.
4999.
Tim, Mike, where are we at?
Can't wait.
Three new levels? You kidding me?
A new levels.
That's where it all began.
I love this game.
I can play this game forever.
Yeah, I feel like we've hyped this up since we first got to see it and play it.
And the hype is still so real, the idea of jumping in,
especially it being their first Unreal Engine experience and game out to the public, right?
We are coming off the Slip Space Engine with Halo Infinite.
it. We haven't seen the transition or truly played the transition yet with this team.
So I'm excited to see it in Unreal. I can't wait to play this game. I mean, this is perfect
for a four-player legendary lasso gameplay experience. It's going to be great.
You're insane. We're going to break Tim, everybody.
The Lasso part is the whole thing I'm not sold on.
All right, Greg, this month at the end of July, we will have a marathon stream.
Mike, Nick, Andy, and Tim. We're going to play Halo campaign evolved. But he's
Here's the catch.
We're not just playing it on normal.
We're playing lasso.
Legendary, all skulls on.
Let's go.
I don't know that this is going to be a good idea.
Any way, shape, or form.
We'll see.
We'll see.
I'm down for legendary.
And even that's going to be a struggle.
Man.
You're making this too hard.
How many, how many campaigns have you beaten on legendary?
Because I'll say I don't play on legendary.
Okay.
You and I are going to learn a valuable lesson.
Oh, God.
Yeah, we won't beat the first level.
whatever we'll see we'll beat it you got to remember we're gamers we're just fine i don't know man
here's the deal i've watched a lot of lasso runs yeah i'm gonna tell you the secret blessed you know
what they do was they just make one guy stand behind a rock about 50 yards backwards and then the
other three try their best to kill things and then when they die you just respond on the guy in
the rock so one guy's just gonna sit there's fun thrilling marathon please that's how it goes that's how it is
that's what everybody wants you want to beat lasso this what you got to do right you playing this
oh yeah the real question is are my PlayStation boys
playing this.
Easy boy.
I don't claim it anymore.
They get really mad.
But I want to play this.
I was hope,
honestly,
my hope for playing this
was to be doing a stream
with you.
Now that we're not doing the stream.
No,
I'm not doing Lassow.
That sounds like torture.
Yeah,
no.
I'll find time to play.
I want to play it.
I say we get blessed
instead of Nick.
All right.
But like,
well,
Lasso,
ruin the experience.
Yeah.
It sounds like,
don't worry about it.
Don't worry about it.
Don't worry about what it's going to do to you.
July 28th,
also season.
EverQuest Legends comes to PC, then
go north on PC Xbox
Series X. We jumped to
July 29th. Mistfall Hunter
comes to PlayStation 5, PC, Xbox
Series X. Blood Rain, the definitive collection,
comes to Switch, Switch, physical, and PlayStation 5.
I want to say that was a Roger one he was excited
for? That sounds right. Is that right?
Rod is it to Blood Rain? I can't remember.
I love that. Of course he is.
And then also on July 29th,
Truccoon is supporting me from another world
comes Xbox Series X and PC.
This is, of course, Strange Scaffled
friend of the show.
Your truck is magic, and now,
and you now owe a sole debt
to the buff Isakai Elfgirl
living in your head. Run over pedestrians
as truckoon make deliveries and defeat
the Skeleton King across two worlds in this
chaotic run-based anime driving game.
Strange Scaffled puts out a billion games.
We've talked about them all over, you know, El Paso
elsewhere, etc. This is probably
the one I'm most excited for from them.
I think this looks super goofy and super weird,
and it's like from a style of anime I've never heard of
of supporting someone from another world
and getting their souls and stuff.
This sounds super goofy and weird,
and I'm down to try it.
I can't wait.
Anybody else?
Yeah, I'm done to fuck with this.
This seems really fun.
I'm happy it exists.
I boot it up.
Yeah.
Let's move on to July 30th.
Zeno Blade Chronicles 2 comes to switch.
The Rex, Pira, and the world
to refuge in an adventure,
for the Nintendo Switch system.
That's what I put it here.
Nintendo's just two system.
Of course,
you busing are currently obsessed
with Zeno Blanklecronicles.
And about 25 hours
into Zeno Blanicals.
I'm having a fantastic time with it.
I'm happy they're doing
the staggered release thing.
I think that's really smart
because it'd be overwhelming
to just drop
multiple Zeno Blade Chronicles at once.
That said, I don't know if I'm going to hop
into two at launch.
Oh, sure.
One, because I mean,
I'm getting through one.
I don't want to like over Zeno Blade
Chronicle myself.
Sure.
But then also,
there's just going to be a deluge
of games coming out starting around this time, right?
August is going to kick off a very busy fall.
But I'm excited.
It's fun actually looking now at gameplay Xenobate Chronicles, too,
and seeing like all the elements transfer from Zendabley Chronicles,
wait, was that Zembley Chronicles one?
Yeah, right?
The water was one and then what were...
Never mind.
I was going to say, I was like, damn,
they got the exact same UI.
It's because it was one.
I'm excited to get to two someday.
All right.
July 30th, we'll also see Cousan,
City of Wolves come to just about everything.
Blue Reflection Quartet
Come to just about everything
Truxinus Elite comes to just about everything
Culsep the first Saturn tribute comes to PC
Leafy Corner comes to PlayStation 5
Switch to Switch more PC
Siny and Mino
Against All Gods comes to PC
Then how many dudes comes to PC
How many dudes does it take to beat up a gorilla
A thousand toddlers a horse-sized duck
A god
Enter the dude ranch and find out in this
a rogue-like deck builder where you recruit an army of dudes to fight ridiculous battles.
Not a deck builder.
Rogue-like dude builder. My apologies.
I love it.
I love it.
That's fantastic.
Yeah, this is one I added from the Seam calendar as well.
Just love everything about that.
Great name.
Like this a lot.
Adding this to my wish list right now.
It's on there.
It kind of keeps like vampire survivors a little bit with just like all the enemies coming
at you at once.
Yeah, I'll be interested to see how you really build your deck and how you get out there.
Yeah.
I don't let you forward to this.
This is a good one.
Thank you, Bless.
I glossed over this one.
I put together the list.
And then a final July 30th game is Kick on PC.
Kick is a nostalgic tale of making your way to school
all while honing your soccer skills
throughout challenging levels packed with unique challenges.
Do you have what it takes to kick it?
Mike, were you the one that told me about this?
Yeah, so I played 18 Steam Next Fest games,
and I walked away with about three
that were like right up blessing.
Blessings Allie.
I think this would also be good for Barrett.
But this is a side scroller.
flowing flow and rhythm game with great art style, fantastic music.
And it's all about you just getting to school,
getting to your local shop,
getting back home by juggling this soccer ball as you go.
So your goal is always kind of keep the ball in front of you.
And then you have options to lob up and over a high obstacle.
You can dive and slide underneath a low obstacle.
You can head it if you want as well.
And there's just a really dope pace and flow to it
that mixes well with the music.
And just the ambiance that, like, I was like, oh, bless, you've got to play this game.
You're going to love it.
Yeah, I have the demo downloaded from SteamexFest, so I'm excited to get to it.
Yeah.
This is doing something to my brain that, like, reminds me of, like, playing some really cool projects on new grounds and shit.
Oh, yeah.
This looks awesome.
I love the look of it.
I love the idea.
I love the Pomeranians.
I want this one.
Excellent.
Add it to your list right now.
It really helps the devs.
Yeah.
July 31st, closes out the month with three games.
The Relic First Guardian on PC and PlayStation 5.
Corsair Cove on PC
and Paw Patrol
Dino World
on PlayStation 5 Xbox
PlayStation 4 etc etc etc etc
everywhere we can get that
I'll tell you
I'm very happy with the son I've raised
because when I give him these shitty
Paw Patrol
he's like now I'll go back to Spider-I was going to ask you
I'll go back to Batman out of Paw Patrol
oh the yeah the cartoon in general
yeah the age we're out of it now
there's the rare occasions where he'll want to put on a
Paw Patrol but no for the most part
we're long gone from Paw Patrol yeah yeah yeah so the video games
we won't play even the games like he never was that
stupid at games that he wanted to play it.
I gave him a couple off Xbox game pass, and he was like, no, I'm good.
Let's go back to Forza.
I said, yeah, let's do it.
Let's do it.
It's go rip.
And that's every game in July with a confirmed release date.
There's a few that are like targeting or whatever, but we're not going to that.
Instead, we're going to go into your super chats.
We start with the one the only, Chris Anka, great mustache.
Please check out Leafy Corner.
I love the demo so much.
I turned it off after 40 minutes to not ruin the game for myself.
I'm on the Steam page right now.
Chris Leafy Corner
run a cute little plant shop
in this cozy and relaxing game.
Grow selling care for a variety
of real life plants,
help customers with their dream plants,
complete orders,
and customize your cozy shop
just the way you want.
I will absolutely not be playing that, Chris,
but it looks like some Joey stuff though.
It does look like something Joey would be into.
This also looks like a gen game.
Yeah.
You know what I mean?
She does love them plants and pottery.
The co-op bros,
an amazing YouTube TV.
channel you should all subscribe to you says tears of metal is a banger we previewed it on our channel
four player online co-op basically brave heart the video game it's got the sauce three okay
emojis uh co-op 64 a competing co-op channel says avatar legends is my most into spitting
game of the month match made in heaven and it plays extremely well for casuals and pros yes are you
we're in the fighting game community and just for you actually stood that for you blessing uh-huh when
you hear, oh man, they're making it, it's casually accessible.
Do you just go stop? Just stop trying.
No, I don't know.
You're never going to get them. You're never going to get them.
No, no, I think fighting games should be casually accessible.
Now, that means, I think it means different things for different games, right?
I think if you're doing a licensed IP like this, it should be casually accessible.
And the same way that- Sure, that's fair.
That's fair.
Yeah, like Dragon Ball Fighters is actually a good example where that game, I think,
helped popularize just straight-up auto-comboes to where you just tap square and you will do a full
combo into a super.
Yeah.
And that makes it so that, like, Tim doesn't have to, like, learn all
buttons, even though Tim would could learn all the buttons, but like, Tim could hop in just at his
first try and be like, oh, I can have fun and know what I'm doing enough. Um, you know, I might not
reach the most casual player if you just don't straight up, don't like fighting games, but for an
avatar, I think that's good. I think that's a good call. Okay, fair enough. Uh, I dive back
into your super chats here then. Uh, Sky, superchats and says, July is my backlog month. I just
finished, uh, Pragata 4.5 out of five, to which I would say, Sky, I understand you're new
around here. We operate on a 10 point review scale.
So I don't understand what the fuck that means.
And I don't understand why you would do that.
But I understand it's always somebody's first day on kind of funny games.
So, of course, that's whatever.
And we'll be playing it, Silent Hill F, finally, salute emoji.
We salute you as well, Guy.
Just multiply it by two.
That's not how it works.
Doesn't we get mad?
Remember when they do that?
Metacritic?
You just change the five.
Everybody gets mad at it.
Just teams of 10.
4.5 out of 10.
There you go.
Same score of Roger Gar.
Yeah, exactly.
Dang.
Dang.
Fighting words.
Is Roger here?
I haven't heard him.
He's probably.
No, he's off.
bathroom again. Science dog official super
chast and says, Tim, are you worried about Samira joining
the cast of 2XCO? Seems
like a bit risky extracurricular
activity. When we were
deciding that we were going to name her
Samara, we were Googling it to see if there's any
controversies. And like Samira, not
that popular name in fiction
so far, but one of the, I'd
say the most popular character so far
named Samara is League of Legends.
Oh, nice. I guess they're joining the cast of 2KXO.
That would make sense. Never will get that
name right. Doesn't matter. I
I read it and I said it wrong.
2XCO?
Yeah.
I said 2KXO.
Oh, I'm sorry.
Yeah.
And our final Super Shack goes to Zeke's speak who says,
