What's up, everybody? Welcome to the Kind of Funny games cast for Wednesday, October 23rd, 2020, 6.
I'm one of your host, Greg Miller, alongside Forbes 30 Under 30, aka,
Leftover Poppy, aka Biceb Poppy, it's blessing.
Eddie O'EA, Jr.
Good day, Greg.
Good day to you.
How are you?
Good, how are you?
We had a great games daily.
Are we doing the look at each other, too?
Oh, yeah, of course.
We got to figure out, are we looking in the cameras or looking at each other?
Oh, no, do it again?
Let's look back at Greg.
You guys are looking perfect right now together.
No, no, no.
I'm saying as a team, Master of Hype, Snowbike, Mike.
Oh, I always look at Andy and Nick.
So, yeah, I will look down the line when I address you and share jokes.
and give you the eye, Tim, of, like, we're having a good time.
We're having a great time.
We're having a right.
We're having a right.
Do you want me to look up at you like this?
I'd love that.
I love that.
Wow, that's good.
That's good.
Mike.
Greg's always on top.
That's what they say.
Everybody, if you're an audio listener, none of this makes sense.
If you're a video listener, of course, we are getting ready for top 100, a five-day event here in San Francisco in the kind of funny studio,
where we'll open our doors for the first time ever to you, the kind of funny best friends,
to come in and party with us and celebrate Team Orange and the Four Pete,
but more importantly, the 100 greatest games that have ever defined the kind of funny team.
But while we do that, we are doing many different things to the studio and getting the studio ready.
And so you will see over the coming weeks, many days of us in the lab running the shows here,
like the old COVID days, except now we can reach out and touch each other, Tim.
It's true.
Where are you?
You're up there?
Oh, I'm inside.
There it is.
Whoa.
Look at that, yeah, of course.
I have a quick question for you guys.
When you're playing like a four-player split-screen game,
What screen do you want?
Because I'm where I like to be.
Oh, yeah, I'm where I like to be.
I want to be top left.
It depends on where I'm sitting.
I want to be closer to where I'm sitting.
Yeah, closer to where you're sitting always.
But if it was first dibsies on wherever I want,
top left always.
I'm a bottom left guy because I feel like I...
I look at the screen.
Like, that's how I think about things.
You know what you mean?
It's like from that bottom left up.
Big, why do you choose top left?
I don't know.
I guess it's where the eye is drawn.
You know, I'm a big reader.
And so you're always going left to right.
It's top of the page.
I think it's an alpha thing.
I think it's a dominance thing.
Yeah, probably.
Player one.
He's player one.
Will you always play one when you grow up?
Um, I didn't have friends.
What about it?
That was still a player.
Addison was the kind of dude where I go over to Addison's house to play video games
and I'm watching him play single player video games.
Yeah.
Well, it wasn't much multiplayer happening.
See, me and Poe always had this theory since it was always at my house with my video games
that whenever something ridiculous would happen like in Madden or whatever and the game would let me win.
It was because-player one.
know he's playing one.
The guy owns the system.
He owns it, right?
Yeah, it was never about player one, player two for me and Jackson.
It was, which is the best controller?
Of course.
The coolest color and 64 controller.
Or the dopest mad cats, Xbox controller.
The dopes mad cats.
No one's fighting over Mad cats except nobody's Mike and his brother.
They had this mini Xbox Madcast controller that might have been one of the greatest
controllers ever created.
I got it still.
I'll bring it in one day.
Tim, when they dropped this Mario Card 8 Deluxe, eight player screen mode,
yeah.
Which one are you choosing then?
You're still going far, bottom, left?
I guess so.
I'm going right middle bottom.
What?
That's going to get right.
Middle bottom.
Right.
Oh, my God.
All right, fine.
Tim, you know, you call that out.
I want to call out, of course, over on the subreddit.
A Tim appreciation thread.
Did you see it?
Oh, yeah, it was going great.
Just randomly wanted to point out, Tim looks really good in the screencast lighting.
And there you are in the purple.
This thread pissed me off, by the way.
Because then further down, they compliment how good Joey and Mike look.
Yeah.
I'm the one other person on the show.
So everybody looks good in the lighting except for me.
Oh, man.
This is why don't fuck with the Reddit.
That's so funny.
Fair enough.
What we do fuck with is you, everybody.
If you're watching live on YouTube.com slash kind of funny games or twitch.
dot TV slash kind of funny games, come to YouTube.com slash kind of funny games where you can super chat to be part of the show.
Of course, this is our rundown, our monthly rundown of everything coming out in the video game world next month.
October this time around. So go ahead and sound off. What games are you excited for? Why are you excited for them?
Say it here and say it early so that when I get there and we don't talk about it, I cannot blow past it.
And instead, toss it in there for you. Remember, we couldn't do this without our producers on patreon.com.
So slash, kind of funny. So thank you, Omega Buster, Delaney the Somme Twining and Michael Pezzavento. For now.
Let's begin the show with what is and forever will be. Topic of the show.
Tots, tons, tons, tons, tons. Every game coming out in October.
October 2026.
We love to go to releases.com.
Just like you can and go through all the games coming
so that we can wish list away.
I got to bust out.
Since we're off, I got my laptop to the side,
I got to make sure I got this open over here
so I can be wishlisted and all the cool shit
we're going to see and talk about.
I just wishlisted a game recently.
That was really cool.
I need to find it.
Give me a second.
I thought this is a bit you were going somewhere with for a second.
Was it the Nico Dorico game that wasn't Nico der Rico?
No.
Did that game come out?
Noto Der Rico.
I don't know. I don't even remember what you're talking about.
It's the game.
Oh, Marsupilomi?
Yes.
Jesus Christ.
Marsupilomi.
Yes, that is the one.
Yes.
That is the one.
Can we take a quick moment about wish lists?
Yeah, I love that.
Do you curate your risk list after just wish listing a game, like going back in and refining you going, well, that game already came out.
Maybe I've lost interest.
I should un-wishlisted it.
Do you just keep it forever and then it pings you when it's on sale?
Like, what do you guys do with your wish list post this conversation of this?
I love that.
I love that.
What a great question, Mike.
I usually let it just cook and leave it alone.
And then what will happen is I'd say maybe once a quarter we're doing a show like this or watching, you know, one of the many showcases we watch.
And I add stuff there and I go, oh, wait, what's on the wish list?
And then I go in and I'm like, oh, I already got a review code for this.
I did buy this, take this off, do that, and clean it out that way.
So you do clean it out.
I like hitting that.
Yeah, because I worry, I go to my wish list.
I'm like, there's 204 games.
And I'm like, okay, well, Mike, what are you doing here?
Let's figure this out today.
The game's called Moilo, M-O-Y-L-O.
It's a hand-drawn action game.
Very cuphead looking, but it's like one of them good ones, though.
Interesting.
That's also what they call chocolate milk in England.
Really?
Well, I love chocolate milk.
Milo.
It's a Milo joke.
It's bad.
Milo's not even an England thing.
I don't know why I went with England.
Let's jump right into it.
All right.
Of course, we're reading from the Bible.
Releases.com.
You can go follow along.
Make sure you do have your wishless.
open, remember how much this helps so many of the developers. We start October 1st,
end of abyss, comes to Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, and PC, in the depths of a
mysterious underground compound, a mission to investigate disturbances of unknown
origin spirals into a harrowing descent through a broken and abandoned world. Play, as the
young combat technician sell, as she uncovers the truth behind the facility's
derelict areas and confronts the monstrous creatures that roam there.
I called this one out.
We've looked at it a few different times
and seen it a few different times and stuff.
If you remember, this is one that is, it says PC and it is PC,
but it's Epic Games exclusive or whatever.
Mike, where are you at with this one?
Has this done anything for you?
Dude, Greg, thank you so much for calling this one out
because, yeah, this is on my wish list.
This is on my circled calendar of I would like to play this game.
I really do love the top-down,
kind of top-down twin-stick shooter vibes that you look at
and get giving me some little nightmares type vibes
with the art style as well.
This is definitely on my list of like,
I'd like to try this and see where it goes.
I hope it captures me because it has all the vibes
and makings of a game that I would like.
Anybody else, bless,
is this even remotely in your wheelhouse for you?
I mean, it's super in my wheelhouse.
Am I looking for it right now?
Not necessarily, but it looks cool.
I really like the creature design here.
Yeah, the Little Nightmares type game.
I would even throw in the inside.
Oh, yeah, dead space.
This is the isometric dead nation.
Yes, so that kind of thing.
But it reminds me a lot looking at it.
of Dead Space, which, you know,
or I'm sorry, yeah, Dead Space,
which is up my alley.
I do want to try it.
This looks awesome.
Yeah, this definitely, like,
I hope that this hits and reviews well
because it looks like it has that it factor to it.
Yeah.
That's October 1st, also October 1st,
Dynasty Warriors 3 complete edition remastered,
coming to just about everything.
Mike, do you want to talk about it?
Tim, would this make me feel like I'm back
at the Target demo disc?
Oh, 100%.
Yeah.
Because, like, this is the one.
Dynasty Warriors 3.
Oh, yeah.
that I grew up with, right?
Like, cranking my neck all the way up 12 feet,
looking at that television screen.
Stiff as hell controller latched into that thing.
Disgusting controller, just filthy.
Sticky, so many people have touched it,
but there I am having the time.
Mom, keep searching in the beauty section.
I'll be over here.
Take your time, I'm good.
I don't care, Mom, I'm not coming out.
Yeah.
Would this be the one team for me to check out?
I think so, right?
Like, yeah, Nizier Warriors 3, that was the,
I'm pretty sure that was like the PS2 one.
Yeah, okay, okay.
Yeah, it's just so, what a, what a franchise?
eyes. I don't remember the ones that I have the most
touchstones with, but I would like to check it out.
The latest Dynasty Warriors, remember,
I really enjoyed that one, so I'm in.
Okay, fair enough.
From there, Ghost of Yote,
complete edition comes to PlayStation 5.
Remember, of course, it's the game you know and love,
but there's also stuff in there. Ghost of
Yote Echoes of
Sikigahara is our new
narrative expansion. Split between
the present day and flashbacks to
Atsu's time on the mainland.
You'll meet Nagato. A figure from
Atsu's past who has arrived in Nezo. In the present, you'll explore a previously unseen valley
once inhabited by the snake and his gang of loyal followers, the Vipers. In the past, you'll
experience Atsu's time in the Battle of the Battle, and a key moment in her life before she
returned home for her quest for vengeance. You'll meet new enemies and find new heavy weapons,
new armor sets, new dies, and more. If that wasn't enough, it also includes Ghost of Yote Most
Wanted, a brand new single player combat survival mode, our spin on a rogue light. You'll accept
bounties in order to start new runs where taking down enemies will earn you perks as well as unlock
additional characters to play as.
Bless?
Yes.
I turn my eyes to you.
Because here we go.
Survival mode that's their roguelight.
Yeah.
And new story expansion and how much you like ghost in general.
Yeah.
What is this one doing for you?
I mean, I think this is exciting.
I think this is such an exciting idea of giving people more of Ghost of Yote, Ghost of Tsushima, got that
DLC and so Echoes of Seki Gajara
I think sounds cool. It's the type of
thing that the fans of GOSIOT I think want and
desire. And I think following up
the Ghost Lute Legends earlier this
year with a roguelight mode, it's like
damn, that studio's working. I don't know
if I'm going to have the time to get into it when we're talking
about what September and October is,
but I think this is a really exciting release and I hope
one day I get to pick up this survival mode because I really
want to try most wanted for sure. Yeah, Sammy,
I'm in there with you, but the opposite
of it where I think it's too
crowded for me to jump in right now, sadly,
make time for it, but I'm going to be all about that
echoes, the story expansion. Like, I do
like that, and I love Atsu, and I do love this game
Atsu, and I want to get into it, but I think right now with the amount of
reviews and new games crushing down on us,
that has to fall to the back burner. Yeah,
but I think one day, that's when I see us getting to at some point,
even if we don't get to it at launch. Yeah, I hope so.
I hope one, I want to play both of the ghost games at some point.
You're never going to do it. I know, but I want to.
Too bad. I've started up Sushima, like, multiple times, and I love the first
hour. Yeah, that's great. And I played it like four times.
But yeah, one day, one day.
From there, we continue
all on October 1st, the world of magic,
rise of magic comes to PC. Then retro...
Really quick. Do yourself a favor.
I won't interrupt the show too long. Do yourself
a favor, when you get a chance, watch
the world of magic trailer after the show.
You'll get a good smile.
Okay, I'm telling you. Remember when I told you yesterday?
Go through and highlight the games you want to
talk about. This is a post show you watch
that get a good laugh. I promise you got to see this.
Mike, I did put this next one.
on the list for you, okay? Coming to switch
to PC, PlayStation 5 and more, retro
space, a once tranquil space station now
faces the abyss. Having been consumed
by a black hole, the hallways are rife
with mutants, and the very fabric of time
appears to be unraveling. Caught in this
disco punk mayhem, imagine yourself
as the protagonist in a 70s
B movie that was never made.
Barrett is running the trailer right here.
You will get to it eventually and see it. We're very much
FPS in this. Running through
the hallways, killing monsters. Great, thanks for putting
this on my radar. I did not have this there.
of like, hey, I have a smile on my face,
everything that you just read,
and seeing the first person shooter,
the boomer shooter vibes.
Like, I'm into that, Greg.
And so I'm going to put this on my wish list.
Maybe I'll make time for it.
I'd like that.
Okay, good.
I'd like you to try that.
I want everyone out there to try Octopath Traveler
and Octopath Traveler, too.
They're coming to Switch 2 with Switch 2 editions.
Or just coming to Switch 2, I guess, natively.
Don't Fret comes to Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, and PC.
Mucci, moochie pork, and Pink Sweets Boasted comes to Switch.
PlayStation 5.
Mike, I need to get you
get a stream going for
Moochi, Moochy Pork.
I would love this show.
Have you seen Moochy Moochy Pork
and what this stuff pops up as?
What this stuff pops up as?
It is a... Hardcore yet
hardcore shooter. Dan Maku's shooting
makes a grand comeback to him.
Yeah. Okay.
That looks fun as hell.
Yeah, what are these games called?
Like my mom loves Galga.
Like, I wouldn't put... I wouldn't call it Galga,
but like it's like that.
Yeah.
Yeah. That's great. Yeah. That's great.
Yeah, this shit looks crazy, Tim.
Yeah. You don't want to put it down.
Put it down.
Put it down.
It's on their list.
Then October 1 close out with Morrow's Protocol, PlayStation 5, and Switch 2.
That leads us to October 2.
And Tim, I feel the need for speed is Ace Combat Wings of Thieve.
PC, Xbox, and PlayStation, Ace Combat 8 Wings of Thieve delivers high-octane aerial action.
Step into the cockpit and take flight as an elite pilot across stunning skies.
Enter intense dog fights.
Eliminate threats and rise through gripping missions to earn your wings.
Who's taken to the skies?
Mike is taking to the skies.
Bless, are you taking to the skies?
I want to.
If I get time, I'm taking to the skies for sure.
Hell yeah.
Yeah, this is the one I got to preview earlier in the year.
I played about six-ish hours of Ace Combat, eight wings of Thieve.
And I think we often talk about it in regards to armored core and scratching that itch.
The thing that I'm excited about but also worried about is the ways.
in which it scratches that itch
because I think story-wise,
I was not gritted by the story.
And I kind of was gripped by the story
of Armored Corps.
Granted, Armored Corps took a minute
to get me there.
So I'm hoping maybe later on
in Ace Combat 8,
people start to really warm up on it
because I wasn't really feeling
in those early hours.
That said, the gameplay,
building your setup
of the kind of plane,
the kind of equipment
you want to take out there,
and like having that preparation phase
and the execution phase
of being out in the skies,
I think all feels great.
Clouds look really good in this game also.
Good clouds.
Very good clouds in a flying game.
Mike, you excited for it, though?
Yeah, I am excited for this one.
You know, I dabbled a little bit in the recent East Combat 7,
and so I'm excited for this one.
I got my PPL, as everybody knows,
and Microsoft Flight Sims, so I'm already ready to fly.
And now we're going to add some combat into it,
and I'm pretty pumped up about that.
I do get a little dizzy, if I'm being honest,
when I play these games, of like,
when you're in that 3D aerial space
and you're trying to track other planes
and you're looking all around the cockpit,
I do get a little disoriented,
so we'll see if that kicks in for me.
But when I played Ace Combat 7,
I started to feel that pretty heavy.
Ace Combat 8 Wings of Thieve has made
Aaron Limes, a short list of her super chat.
Looking forward to Ace Combat, Final Fantasy Residence,
Castlevania, Dragons Dogma 2, Darker risen,
Fanda Blade Zero, and most importantly, Rataton.
What a month?
Man.
Let's fucking get out there.
What?
Man, what?
Oh, just what a month?
Oh.
Yeah.
That was the other thing about Phantom Blade Zero.
I just forgot Van Blade Zero was coming out this month.
I'll get there eventually.
October 2nd also sees Age Field High, Rock the School, come to Xbox Series X.
Mike, you have a lot of experience with you.
Yeah, don't buy that game.
Save your money!
Go watch Mike's stream.
You did a stream with that one, right?
Yes, me and Nick did.
Magical Craft, My Enchanted Dress Shop comes to switch.
Paw Patrol Dino World comes to switch to.
Obstacle Overdrive comes to PC.
October 5th season, what is this, ion,
Aon 2 up to PC.
This is Stella's game?
Yes, this is Stella's game.
An M-M-O-R-P-G.
Stella made it herself.
She did it all by herself.
Wow.
And C-Soft.
It'll have one day in the sun before October 6th arrives
and brings Gears of War E-Day
to, of course, Xbox Series X console exclusive in PC.
14 years before Gears of War, war heroes Marcus Fienis and Dom Santiago
return home to face a new nightmare.
The Locust Horde.
Mike?
Big deal, Greg.
This begins to set things right for Xbox.
This is the domino that falls after multiple dominoes that have fallen.
No, this is a big deal, though, because the coalition is back up to bat with a brand new game.
And most importantly, it is returning to Dom and Marcus, right?
They have gone, gears four and five without Dom and Marcus.
Of course, we know the trilogy.
They went off and followed Kate and Marcus' son, and then we moved on.
And a lot of fans were like, hey, I really love those two characters.
I love that time.
period. I want to go back to that. And they really did make great sides from four to five.
They did a really good job with that. And they left us on a cliffhanger after five. So it was
kind of like, where are we going? I would like to see that. But I'm very excited to go back
to Emergence Day. See how you can pick up that story. Tell a really awesome opening to a story
we already know with these characters. And also, I touched on it yesterday with our Xbox
talk about like, the Coalition does great things with Xbox. They are delivering still a three-pillar
full-on video game, a campaign,
a multiplayer, and a horde mode, right?
And, like, that doesn't get seen
that often anymore in games, especially
now when it's like, hey, you either choose
maybe a campaign, maybe it's multiplayer,
maybe we ditch one of the other, right?
Like, coalition is still one of the few teams that
still does that and makes it all a high
priority. And so, campaign,
we're very excited to see what the story is.
We have seen the multiplayer and
hoard. They're making big improvements
and changes the horde besides just the,
hey, go to level 50 and survive.
They want to open that up into a larger scale map.
They want to have multiple teams on that.
You doing different objectives while still having that hoard feeling.
And it's a very interesting feeling.
It is something that I'm mixed feelings on.
I didn't love it.
I didn't hate it.
And I'm excited to play more of it.
And then, of course, Gears Multiplayer.
That is the definition of get good or get out, right?
I love Gears Multiplayer.
I think it's one of the most fun first-person shooter.
I know it's third-person shooter, but you get what I'm talking about.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Shooter genre multiplayer games.
you can play. It is intense. It is tough as nails. The wall bouncing, the Nashers shotguns,
the Lancer sniper, of course, the Torque Bo, when you hear that crank up from across the
battlefield and you hear that arrow fly and it digs into somebody that explodes, it's like one of
the coolest things in games, right? And so the multiplayer is like one of the best, but you have to
be really good at it or else you're going to have a bad time. They've also modernized the
controls where it does feel like picking up a, you know, Call of Duty or a Halo.
where the sprint isn't hold down A anymore, right?
They've made these subtle changes where you're picking it on me,
like, oh, wow, like it's gears, but it's not gears, but it's still gears.
I'm excited for this one.
I would like to play this one with somebody.
Maybe me and you.
I mean, you know, because I want to play with somebody.
I love the gears campaign, so I would love that.
That'd be sick.
I'd be, I, because I look forward to gears, but I think I've grown up hearing about
gears as a co-op experience.
Yeah.
And so, yeah, something about playing it by myself doesn't feel right.
But, Tim, I'd be down playing with it.
It is still fun, though. It is still fun by yourself.
But, man, yeah, very high expectations for the campaign for this one.
Hell yeah.
Are you, do you think it lives up to your expectations?
Yeah, I think so.
I mean, dude, they're so.
It looks incredible.
Yeah.
Man, their latest one with Gears Highbusters, too, if, like, we tracked that back.
They killed that Gears Highbusters one with a great story of brand new characters.
It was like two and a half to four hours, super short and sweet.
I'm excited to see what they do with Dom and Marcus here.
You're not alone, of course.
Mikey Mogg super chatted when he became a member on YouTube for
23 months and said, the Xbox News has put a bit of a damper on my mood, but Gears E-Day has been
my most anticipated game all year. And that, of course, is dropping on October 6th. But Mikey follows
up. We also get Star Wars Galactic Racer the same day. I'm so excited for both games, you should
be. Star Wars Galactic Racer is a runs-based high-stakes reinvention of racing born in the lawless
outer rim. With the Empire gone and the galaxy rebuilding, the Galactic League is created, an underground,
unsanctioned circuit where syndicates bankroll chaos and champions are forged.
PlayStation 5 PC Xbox Series X. Tim, go off.
I can't explain to you guys how excited I am for this.
Hell yeah.
Like the fact that it exists and everything we've seen of it just gets me more and more excited.
Like I, let's just add rogue like elements to every single game possible isn't something
that inherently excites me.
It in this game, when y'all were talking about the preview, I'm like, oh, that's what I want.
That sounds like such a nice little fun gimmick and level up to what I'm expecting this game to play and feel like.
But the fact that there's a dedicated campaign with a story and iconic Star Wars characters, I can't know what's up with Subalba.
Like that is, think of dreams for me.
Can't wait for this.
Yeah, last year I got my analog 64, which is like the up-res and 64, then you can play on HCT TVs or whatever.
And one of the games, one of the first games I got, after I got that was Star Wars Racer.
and like it's been so fun
periodically going back, turning it on
and just like experiencing the game feel
because Star Wars Racer I think is one of the better
aging and 64 games in my opinion
just as far as game feel like
it feels like you're a pod racing
you feel like you're there in Star Wars episode one
a movie that I've definitely seen
and I
I preview this at Summer Game Fest
ended up being my game of the show at Summer Game Fest
I think that controller feeling
that feeling of speed and then also
that
Like the takedowns that are very clearly burnout inspired,
knowing that there's burnout devs that are working on this,
I think it's a combination of dreams for me
when I think about what I want out of a game like this.
So really looking forward to it.
Yeah, I think a lot of people are.
It'll be interested see if it can live up to the hype
and expectation of it and, you know, a lot of questions about it.
But the fun thing there, though, is I feel like the expectations are like a 7 out of 10.
Yeah?
So it's like...
Do you think you can surpass that?
I do.
And I think that's the exciting part is like I think it'll hit.
expectations. And it also has a chance
it won't. Like, I can see this game being a
six. But from what
I'm seeing, I'm like, even if it is, I still think
I'm going to get what I'm looking for out of it. Like, just a fun
couple hours. I think that, I hope
it surprises people. Because as soon as I picked it
up to play, it surprised me. Great. Like at Summer
Game Fest. Oh yeah. Okay, good, good, good.
Not to be outdone, though. All right.
October 6th.
Disney Epic Mickey rebushed him to switch
to. Conan Exiles
enhanced legacy of J... What do you got?
I've never played Epic Mickey, should I play that?
Personally, I don't think Epic Mickey is a must-play game.
Okay.
It's cool.
I feel like the concept of it is cooler and better than the actual game.
Some fun story stuff with Oswald the Rabbit.
Okay.
And just a dark take on a Disney World is something that I'm always going to be into.
But yeah, the paintbrush stuff never felt quite that good to me.
The platforming is standard, nothing special.
Okay.
I played a little bit of the rebushed when it came out on the next-end consoles last year.
But yeah, it's fine.
It's not something that I feel like you must play, but I don't think you'll have a bad time.
Not to go back to Star Wars.
I'm going to go back to Star Wars.
Go back to Star Wars.
8-bit Barnet in chat says the betting in multiplayer is pretty sweet.
I don't know what that is.
I would like to hear more.
But also, I've not thought that much about Galactic Racer in regards to multiplayer.
But if the multiplayer rocks, you guys might never.
hear from me again.
I might be a lot of it.
If the multiplayer rocks in this game,
oh, brother.
It's going to be a different kind of experience
for me. Hell yeah.
What if the multiplayer rocks in Conan Exiles
enhanced legacy of the giant
Kings, part two?
On PC.
Love it.
October 8th brings you Clive Barker's
Hellraiser Revival, just about
everything, including Switch 2.
Experience a new chapter in the legendary
horror series like never before.
Clive Barker's Hellraiser Revival takes first person
action horror survival to the next level.
Weald the powers of the Genesis configuration puzzle box to survive your bargain with the infamous pinhead.
I love that this exists.
I wish I cared about Hellraiser.
And, you know, when you talk about the pantheon of horror icons I grew up obsessed with, Freddie, Jason, Michael Myers,
Pinhead never did it for me.
I love that this exists for Hellraiser fans, that that's out there.
I wanted to call it out, of course, spooky season upon us.
but I got nothing for you.
I mean, what you just said is so funny to be like the iconic killers.
Freddie, Jason, Michael, and Pinhead.
I love that you clocked to you because I heard that.
And I was trying to hold back to laugh, but yeah.
I never hear Pinhead.
Don't miss off the Pinhead fans.
They'll get about it.
I don't know who the hell Pinhead is.
Yeah, I don't really do.
I really, really, really, really, really.
Never seen any of the movies, never seen even a trailer for this character.
No, Pinhead Larry.
But I'm very excited about this game, Greg, because a lot of these fun horror
video games would get,
are that 4V1.
And this is a straight-up single-player game.
And if you watch the gameplay,
it's giving, like, the Bioshock vibes of one hand
with the gun, the second-hand,
doing some sort of magic.
And, like, I am very interested in seeing someone
take on one of these horror movie franchises
and making a really fun and good single-player horror adventure.
And, like, I want to try this.
This is high on my list of, like, I'd like to try and see if it lives up to it.
Okay, I like that a lot.
While you're trying that, I'm going to try Silver Pines coming to Switch.
It's coming to everything.
Silver Pines is a survival horror.
Metroidvania set in small town America.
Fight nightmarish tears and solve puzzles
while carefully managing your scarce resources
as you uncover the mysteries that could hold the key to redemption.
Just a little goofy horror game?
Not goofy, I guess.
But you know what I mean?
In terms of like, hey, let's take Metroidvania
and put it in small town America
and give it a bunch of horror vibes, Tim.
I'm about that.
I like that life, Tim.
Yeah, I feel like I liked the pitch you read better
than what I'm seeing here.
Yeah, I understand that, and I can vibe with that.
I think, you know, if you can look at the trailer,
like it's got a 2D side-scrolling thing to it,
but some of the trailers get very focused on the dialogue
and the conversation you're having between characters
where I think looking, I don't know what the gameplay is going to play.
There is a demo out already for it,
and I did see people saying they loved the demo,
so I'm hopeful as a horror fan that I'll be a part of it.
I haven't heard Madeline Stanley weigh in on it.
Madeline, I'm not sure if you're here.
If you're in the chat, let me know.
Madeline, are you in the room with us?
She could tell us more.
It doesn't matter as we move on.
Because you know what else is still happening on October 8th?
Kingdom Hearts Collection 1 through 3,
Switch to Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5.
I highlighted this one just because obviously I love Kingdom Hearts,
but I'm just, I love that this collection just continues to just grow with consoles,
where it's just like versions of the collection to some extent
because before it was the HD 1.5, 2.5 remix, all that stuff.
But that was back on like PS3 days.
So the fact that we were here multi-generations later,
and they're still making sure that the games are like as up to date as possible is awesome.
And this is going to be the first time that it's Switch 2, fully handheld, no cloud bullshit.
And I think that that's so awesome because Kingdom Hearts is the type of game that I love to just boot up
and just play for an hour or two on an airplane when I'm going on a trip.
And I'm like, I'm just looking for some fun.
You know what I mean?
I'm just looking for some good memories.
And yeah, Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 specifically are great times for that.
Well, you know what I'm looking to do on a plane a lot?
Cry.
And that's why I'm excited for also on 10-8 forever ago.
Everything following a tragic stroke of fate, Alfred embarks on a journey north.
In search of redemption in this single-player road trip adventure.
This is another Anna Perna joint, if I am correct.
And if you watch the trailer and remember it, it starts very much with like, oh, cool, here's this loving couple.
And then here's this old man all by himself.
And he goes on this road trip to discover himself or whatever.
You know, I'm all about it.
Let's go.
This is the most great.
Craig shit.
Make me fucking feel it.
You know what I mean?
We have another game coming up later that's just another
a road trip game with no crying probably.
I'm excited about that.
But road tripping with crying, come on now.
Going through and experiencing the life here.
What happened to Alfred?
You know what I mean?
Alfred loved his wife.
I love my wife.
I hate when video games try to mess with my emotions.
Like this is getting me emotional just looking at it.
Like, I don't want you to mess.
Did you like the montage in the beginning of Up?
What if you played it?
What have you merinated in it?
What have you lived in it?
Yeah, we're going to be a part of that, so I'm stoked for that one to drop on October 8th.
But believe it or not, October 8th is far from done.
You're also getting Order of the Sinking Star, Switch to PC PlayStation 5 from director Jonathan Blow,
Braide, The Witness.
Order of the Sinking Star is a massive puzzle adventure set in a realm of magic and enigma.
Solve over 1,000 interconnected, handcrafted puzzles, discover unique playable heroes,
master evolving gameplay mechanics, and decipher a grand mystery.
Puzzle Poppy?
what you got.
I'm fascinated about this game
because when you read that description, right,
this is coming from the director of
Braide and The Witness.
Those are some of the most critically revered
puzzle games ever made.
And I feel like Order of the Sticking Stars
coming in maybe a little bit under the radar,
but I don't know if that's just me.
I know it was announced at, I think, the Game Awards.
But there's something about it
that doesn't feel as exciting, right?
Doesn't feel as monumental?
He did.
What's the milkshake duck?
Oh man, look at this cute duck drinking a milkshake.
That's awesome.
Oh, wait, I just found out the dog murdered someone.
And I think that's a big part of it is that Jonathan Blow has a very bad reputation by his own doing at this point.
And so I wonder how much of it is that.
But I also wonder how much of it is, is the game just unexciting?
You know, the gameplay of it, I think is, for me, as a puzzle, Poppy, I think it looks really interesting.
I actually think it looks pretty fun, the idea of you're just doing a bunch of different block puzzles and you have so many different abilities.
And it seems like it's going to be very open as far as the way you explore.
in the way that the witness was very open
in exploration and tackling puzzles.
I think there could be a very
genius puzzle game here, but
I think I worry about it
a little bit. Okay.
Is where I'm at. But I'm curious to see how it is.
I hope it's good. We'll find out
October 8th. Just like we'll find out
if Neon Abyss 2 is good, Xbox Series X,
Switch PS5,
Calaxon PC,
Echo Weaver on everything.
Hell is Us comes to Switch 2.
Play Hell as Us. I love it so much.
The crew, Motorfest on Switch 2.
I.M. Nemo on PC.
Once upon a catamari on Switch 2.
Now, there's a game you should play.
We love Catamara.
Roll something.
We love Catamari.
You get lost in it.
That's a great game.
Earth Defense Force 5 on Switch 2.
EDF.
Momon King, Switch 2.
Dancing with Ghosts on PC and InVoker.
PC Early Access.
That hurdles us over to the one, the only October 9th.
Dragons, Dogma 2, Darker risen comes to every thing.
I didn't highlight this one because it's an Andy joint. Does anybody actually have anything?
We know Andy loves it. Andy should have come to fucking work. I don't know what you're doing.
Dragons Doggma 2 also comes to Switch 2. And remember Andy's on vacation, he's a lot to take vacation.
And remember that Andy did preview, uh, Darker Risen and Dragon's Dogma 2 on Switch 2 on that Capcom and, uh, we did a joint.
We did a, like, what you've been playing that was you going to see games. Oh, Sega.
Sega and Capcom. Yeah. Preview one if you want to find it. I think Persona is in the thumbnail.
Thermafrost on PC.
Paperhead on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox,
The Relic First Guardian on Switch 2.
Truckful on PC and Android.
Sesame Street, friends and fun on just about everything.
And then Car Park Capital on PC.
I wonder who highlighted this one.
Let's stop right there.
Get the trailer up, okay?
Everybody needs to see.
You see how I did it.
I highlight things.
I link it.
I give it this team description.
You give Barrett absolutely nothing to work with.
I was really excited about this one.
This is a fun.
take on the old school 90s and early 2000s, Sim City,
roller coaster tycoon-type vibe,
but it's a satirical take on you,
making people become dependent on cars, gasoline,
and, of course, destroying all their houses,
as my favorite song would say,
they paved paradise and put up a part of it.
Your goal is to do that.
This is actually from a solo dev,
who built the full-on game engine and a rendering engine as well.
So a very cool little project here,
but the moment you see it and you know all about it,
you're going to smile and go, okay, this could be a good time.
All you're doing that is bulldozing the place and putting down the park.
You're going to tear down the city, tear down people's homes, the city,
and make them become dependent on cars.
This is going on the wish list. Good call, Mike.
Good job.
Thank you to send Nuggies for bringing this back into my life, sat out at the gym.
The car industry needs you to design and build the greatest car parks that simple town life hasn't seen before.
Introduce the need for car commuting and turn neighborhoods into car parks.
Use propaganda to convince people to pay you for it.
Fight people that see through your oily business.
Hell yeah.
Hell yeah.
I like that one a lot.
And then also closing out October 9th is Horse Club Ride West coming to everything.
We then turn our lonely eyes to the one the only October 12th.
It kicks off with color bound.
This one might ring a few bells because we previewed this during our mixed stream this year, of course.
It's everything.
And color bound, color is more than just hue.
as Anku and a Mara boy with a unique gift,
you'll harness the power of color to shape the environment itself,
uncovering hidden paths to navigate challenging and complex puzzles.
This looks pretty cool.
We played this one, yeah, we enjoyed this.
This was what Whitehorn Games, I believe,
when they were on talking about a bunch of their different stuff.
I might be wrong, but I think that's right.
We enjoyed ourselves out there.
For me, I was like, this looks like I'm too dumb for this one,
but I'm enjoying it.
White Thorn games team.
I'm interested for Kev to check this one.
out because the puzzle stuff and the Peru side of things.
It's fun to see a Peru-based game.
This makes me what missed the 2015 era of Indies.
You know what I mean?
Or something like this is a pal.
I played Hugh on the Vita, I remember.
Yeah, and it's like, oh, hell yeah, this is about to be a game of the year contended.
I feel like that was 2015.
This is a cute one.
Looks really cute.
Fun little puzzler.
Speaking of Hugh, though, Hubert comes at PC on October 12.
Dude, you know about this Hubert game, though?
The dog simulator, man, become a full-on retrieval?
Two with your life.
Like, buy.
Do we know about her humor?
Like, this shit could be lit.
God forbid you just be to look ahead and play as a working shepherd dog protecting his flock and the only human who trusts them.
As wolves draw closer, you must face the growing divide between you and the world and serve your, and serve you serve.
Okay, let me try again.
The growing divide between the world you serve and the wild that calls to you.
Herd sheep tracks sense and guard the farm across rugged northern lands.
You know, this game, Hubert really harkens back to a game that I fell in love with.
Thanks to a music compulsion named Tim Buzza.
Of course, he did all the music for WolfQuest 1 and 2.
And he really captured the sounds of the Wyoming Wildlands.
You know what I mean?
If like when you're out there in Yellowstone, what do you hear?
What do you vibe with when you think of the wolves out there?
Tim Buzer really captured that for me.
Somebody in chat said color brown is Vita coded.
And that's what I was thinking.
Yeah, when I say it was 2015 or a movie.
Yeah, you can see you.
And then time to wake up comes out on October 12, PlayStation 5 and PC.
I think we all need a break.

And we're back everybody.
Science Dog official SuperChats.
It says,
Not sure how I'm going to have time to play all these new games with control dropping tomorrow in Fire Emblem.
There's just too many games.
Amble.
Watching this makes me truly understand I am screwed.
Still trying to finish Fire Emblem, Plagetail Legacy.
And next is Townfall.
Lord help me.
The games don't stop everybody.
How good is it to be screwed, though?
So good.
Like, I'm loving it where it's just like, I've let the wave wash over me already where I'm just like,
all right, there's going to be games I miss.
But even just hearing y'all talk about some of these things, I'm like, oh, I'm feeling good.
Like, I like that I'm getting my stuff.
I'm going to play Star Wars Galactic Race.
So you've got to prioritize the things in your life, you know, that are important.
But I'm like, there's just so many games.
I don't think that I've had a year at kind of funny where it seems like the amount of people
are this happy with the amount of games.
I was thinking about this this morning.
I think this might be an all-time fall for video games.
It might be number one.
Might be an all-time year.
Another great year.
I legitimately think this fall is number one.
Like, is there a video game fall that's been hotter than this one?
Especially by the time we get past Ocarina and GTA-6?
Yeah.
Well, what is fall?
Oh, shit.
What is fall?
October 13th is definitively fall, and it kicks off with Valor Mortis coming to PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
Valorimortis is a first-person action souls-like from the creators of Ghost Runner.
rise from death as a former soldier of Napoleon's army,
wields supernatural powers, battle horrifying monsters,
and unravel a conspiracy that threatens all of humanity.
I know he's not here,
but I know Andy would say this game's awesome!
And so I knew we needed to call it out.
Gonna play this game because of Andy and everything he says about this.
I think me and Bless and Andy share the very close type of enjoying these style of games,
and so if Andy says it's really good,
it's usually a, hey, you should pick that up and play it
because it's going to be a good time.
This is one that I'm in.
I'm planning to get to because of just the schedule of games.
I don't know if I'm going to play it at launch
or in that review period, but it might be a,
yo, if the reviews are incredible,
if Andy says, bless, you got to play this,
this could very well end up be my winter break game.
Oh, I like that a lot.
Let's see if Planet Zoo 2 will be a winter break game for you.
It's also on October 13th, PS5, Xbox PC.
SpongeBob Square Pants, Titans of the Tide, comes to Switch.
Total War, Shogun 2, Complete Edition comes to PC,
and then Just Dance, Decades of hits.
Oh, my God.
Is this a new Just Dance, or is this just like a...
It sounds like a greatest hit.
Because, like, shot at the Just Dance still surviving out there, man.
Just pushing those Wii sales still.
This sounding like a compilation of old songs
makes me wonder, are they surviving?
We haven't had a Ubisoft Ford in a long time, bless.
Sure, haven't.
Jason DeRulo's out there dancing yet.
I don't think it's the greatest hits, right?
I think it's just, like, great songs.
Dance the songs everyone knows.
Every era, one floor.
Brought to life with unique choreography, of course.
70s, Mama Mia by Abba.
80s, it's tricky by Run DMC.
90s, wannabe by the Spice Girls.
2000s, by by by InSink.
2010s, Turned Down for What?
By DJ Snake and Little John.
And then the 2020s, Nuevo Lo, by Bad Bunny.
Oh.
Okay.
That still doesn't inspire confidence.
in me. Blitz, let's get real really quick.
You love dancing, and like,
I think you and I have probably played these
games before. Do you think there's ever
where we're done with Just Dance?
Yeah, I think we're close. Really? I think
we're close, yeah. Because think about that era.
Just Dance came through during
the Nintendo Wii era. And then there was
the Xbox Connect
and PlayStation Move and all that stuff.
And they were releasing Just Dance for the Wii up
until the late 2010s, if not
into the 2020s. I don't remember when it stopped.
But I think that Motion era
it's changed so much and it's mostly gone.
Like right now if you're playing Just Dance,
you're probably playing it on, I imagine, mobile or Switch, right?
Now we live in an era where Greg has that little camera gaming device.
And EX.
And that's doing well.
We've seen Just Dance now migrate to like you don't need the Wii remotes anymore.
You can use your phone or you just dance, right?
But it's different though.
Man, we're going to have rock band come back, right?
We're having like these moments where they're going to try to bring back these games.
I think Just Dance like just survived.
I mean, if we're talking about, will they always try to make Just Dances?
Yes.
But I think this doesn't strike me with confidence in the way of it just not being Just Dance 26 or 27 or whatever we would be on.
Because I think when you are, when you're an annualized franchise like that, I think you want to be able to go, hey, just put the 26 on it and it's going to do as well as it's going to do.
Right?
The fact that you're going to decade of hits, that's a pivot.
Like, that's a choice.
That is you going, we got to change up the formula somehow.
So I don't know.
And I also look back at previous years of Just Dance.
I feel like, though even the ways they've announced it, the ways they've talked about Just Dance, it doesn't feel like it's, it doesn't feel like the star of Ubisoft anymore.
I have two things I want to tell you guys.
Well, and Science Dog Official Super Chat says my neighbors still play Just Dance regularly.
I see it through their window and it's very weird.
Okay, nobody looking at it through the window, but also like knock on the door, go join them, have some fun.
Total sales of the Just Dance franchise are over 90 million units.
I don't think that's surprising.
across more than 30 released games.
That's the part that surprises me.
I miss Ubisoft Forward.
Do you?
The aisia's like,
that was just dance, everybody.
Oh, those are great.
Were those forwards?
Those were just press cards.
Whatever the fuck they called them.
Forward's god awful.
October 14th sees Warhammer 40,000
bolt gun two,
come to PC, Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5.
Mike, have you heard about this?
I haven't heard you talk about this.
And it's another one.
I'm like, this is my game.
No, yeah, bolt gun one I missed.
This one, I think, is Alana in this one or is a lot of part of this?
She's part of some of the Warhammer.
Abliterate heretics in the name of the emperor and Warhammer 40,000 bulk gun, too.
Play as Ultramarine Malam Kato or Sister of Battle Naira Varev in this sequel to the retro FPS Warhammer 40,000 bolt gun,
with more enemies, more weapons, and new ways to purge.
Yeah, Greg, I want to get into Warhammer really bad, and Bolt Gun is high.
It's such a cool-looking doom.
You know what I mean?
A neat way to get into it.
And so one day I'll break and play this game.
And Bull Gun will be one of the higher Warhammer experiences for me
as opposed to the total wars that they're out there,
the vermin tides, the dark ages.
Like, this is the one that I want to play.
Okay, fair enough.
Up next then is Over the Hill.
This is the one I was talking about.
I cried on a road trip.
Now it's just a road trip.
Explore the world in the golden era of off-roading.
Drive iconic four-by-four vehicles from the 60s to the 80s,
by yourself. We're with friends through challenging trails and beautiful scenery.
It's on PC. It looks gorgeous. And it kind of looks like, hey, do you want to vibe out and play RV there yet?
But not the, hey, you can't see what you're doing because you're a little gnome trying to look over.
You know what I mean? Like, let's just drive the fucking four by fours, Mike.
This is a full on Jeff Grub, hang out with your crew vibe game.
We have to make it sound lame.
Me and the squad have played this.
The pastel world reminds you of another racing game.
It will come to me.
But this game is a ton of fun.
I've been waiting for this game for a long, long time.
This has been high on the wish list.
This is a must play, a must checkout.
A lot of people are going to like this game.
Yeah, very interesting to this one.
Again, just a vibe plus.
There's one of vibe.
Driver around.
Level vibe.
Zach in the chat says,
I play Just Dance on the regular.
My neighbor always watches me and my wife, though.
Art of Rally.
Thank you, Casey.
I love you, Zach.
Please be a good person.
October 14th closes out with the witch's bakery on everything.
Then October 15th, Castlevania Belmont's curse coming to everything.
Crimson curse will your fate bloom in despair or salvation set 23 years after
Castlevania's Dracula's curse follow Rose Belmont's journey in an all-new T-D,
Jesus, 2D action exploration title from Konami, Evil Empire, in Motion, Twin, Tim Go Off.
I just refuse to believe this game exists.
Like, I'm still legitimately in denial,
where it's like, we're getting a new 2D Castlevania
from the team that made dead cells?
Oh, yeah.
And like, what?
Like, I know we got the DLC or the expansion.
Yeah, the crossover.
The crossover.
That's great.
That's right.
This is totally different and it looks incredible.
Like, I just am so happy that we're at this point
that we're getting, like,
higher budget Metroidvania's.
Like, it was such a novelty for a while,
but now it's kind of becoming a bit more of a standard.
Yeah.
Like, man, this looks top-notch.
This looks really good.
I can't wait.
Demo coming out in, like, a couple days and the harvest theory is over.
Yeah.
Come on.
Come on.
Come on.
Tim, are you going to cancel top 100 so you can play?
Honestly, like, this, I'm very concerned about all that.
Yeah.
Because I feel like this might be my winter break game.
Oh, no.
Because just being realistic about timing.
I'm like, dang.
But this is what I want to play in real time.
I want to play this at lunch.
I want to play this in real time.
is such a funny way to say it.
I want to play this as it's coming out.
And I have a, I talked about my trip
that I'm taking the week after.
I think this is going to be my travel game.
Yeah, that's it.
I can't wait.
Because Dead Cells, to this day,
Dead Cells is one of the best Rogue Lights slash,
maybe one of my favorite indie games ever.
I hold Dead Cells to like that high of a regard.
And Dead Cells was extremely inspired by Castlevania in so many ways.
And so to see them be able to actually take on an actual Castlevania game,
I'm excited.
Well, don't be too excited
Because there is competition
Everybody on the 15th
Because enshrouded

Of course, it has captured
Nick and Kevin.
Mike, you know these games so well.
Talk to me about it shrouded. This is one of the best
survival crafting games I've ever played.
This is a top fiver.
I am so impressed and blown away
by the experience that we've had.
Of course, Nick and Kevin have gone so deep
into this. And this is
one of the top ones. If you and your
crew are looking for a survival crafting game,
this would be on my short list of
try this one out. And now it's going to 1.0. It is packed with content. And these are the type of things that we talk about with these survival crafting games, especially when they launch in the early access. When people jump in early, sometimes they don't make it to 1.0. And so here we are with Velheim going 1.0 earlier this month. Now in Shrouted going 1.0, you are seeing the, you know, the fruit of all of that hard work that this team has finally put out is right here on display. And I'm telling you, and Shrouted has all.
that and some. It is packed with fun things to deal. It is really, really good.
Hell, yes. I played a bit of it. It wasn't my, I'm not that survivally guy, but I enjoyed what
they were going for and where they were with it. I need to thank the one, the only, Shadow Trickster
over in the chat, who has kept me honest. Releases.com missed an October 14th game called
Thank you, Bus Driver. Of course, this is the Double Fine one they announced it packs, and then I got to play on
the Double Fine stream Monday.
Take on the role of a town's
rules-driven, parentheses, and reckless bus driver,
and thank you bus driver.
Drive fast, slap faster, and toss
any rule breakers out of your bus to reach
the true victory being appreciated.
This again, October 14th.
Yeah, I got to go play this at Double Fine
when I stopped in their Amnesia Fortnite stream
on Monday. I had heard about it, of course,
really vibed with it. As a crazy
taxi aficionado, the idea
here of drive up to the stop, pick
these people up, take off is fun.
And it is the idea that the schick of driving around with the bus is every so often new rules get added to the bus that you can't eat, you can't be stinky, you can't be talking on the phone.
So while you drive, which of course people are paying attention to, you have to look at the mirror at the top and see what's going on behind you, then turn around, smack people around, maybe throw them off the bus to keep the other people happy so that when you get to the destination, which you need to look at your map to do, you then get thank yous and that's your high score.
It's a, you know, Double Fine is very much cranking out a bunch of small games right now at Amnesia Fortnite.
This is another one of like, here's a fun, bite-sized jump in, high score, let's chase it and do it.
And I thought, hey, this is really, really fun.
So everybody should look forward to that on the 14th.
However, let's get back to October 15th.
Ratatan comes to everything.
How you feeling, Greg?
I'm feeling good.
Ratatatown is a rhythm-rogelike action game that combines rhythm games inside scrolling action,
with online co-op gameplay supporting up to four players,
an intense battle unfolds with over 100 characters fighting in massive melee.
Let's defeat the enemies together if you don't know.
Of course, this is the spiritual successor to one of the best PlayStation franchises of all time.
Pat upon.
Is it probably close enough just to get sued?
Yes.
Of course, this is the team that made Patapon as a new studio.
I think it's a Rattitan Arts or whatever doing this.
You see, fever is there.
It's very much Pat upon until it isn't.
where it's like there's, the way you're controlling is doing the drum beats,
but you are moving around.
During my demo at SGF years ago,
they had to tell me to stop playing it like Patapon and re-explained it
because I was charging forward and not moving back.
I, when this dropped in early access, I was there week one,
played a bunch of it, really enjoyed it,
and then I did the thing where I'm like, cool,
I'm going to put this down until 1.0.
So now on October 15th, that time has come for me to jump back in and see how it is.
So I'm very excited for it, see what they've added,
where they've gone with it,
because I liked what I played enough to be like,
yeah, I want to play more of this when it comes to him.
Yep.
It will also see Toy Story 3 complete addition on the 15th on everything.
Yo, this looks sick, man.
Dude, it is sick.
Holy cow.
Every time that this game comes up, I feel the need to shine some light on it.
Because, like, Toy Story 3 on the PS3, it was one of those like,
oh, wow, license games can actually be good.
And, like, that was a different time back then.
But it is kind of a dream game in a lot of ways.
It's like it is just, you play through the story of Toy Story 3.
We're looking at footage right now of Retro Roundup,
which is all the Super Nintendo Genesis, PS1 games and all that stuff.
But Toy Story 3, complete edition, that's one you've got to get bent, Greg.
Okay.
Like, I feel like, has he seen this Toy Story movies?
Yeah.
Okay, yeah, I feel like he'll enjoy it.
We haven't seen the most recent one, but yeah.
Quite a bit because it's a super fun campaign, but then there's also this toy box mode
where you can get to, like, play with all the toys.
Got it.
Very, very cool.
Oh, man.
What a time to be alive with all those awesome licensed games back in the day?
A lot of trash, but a lot of good ones.
When are we going to remake Lord of the Rings, the Two Towers?
Dude, that's an excellent question.
How have they not done that?
All time, man.
That's such a miss.
They're trying to exploit.
They're doing the wrong things.
Exploy what I want to do.
Exploid better.
Exploit better.
So, as you said, Toy Story 3 completed edition
and Disney Pixar Toy Story Around,
a retro roundup, both out on the 15th.
So is Harvest Moons, Echoes of Teredia,
everything.
Beyond the Stars, PC, Early Act.
Frosthaven PC, the Jackbox Party Pack 12, everything.
Bluey, happy snaps, everything. Time to play.
Explore and have fun and capture your favorite moments with Bluey and bingo in this photo-powered game.
Look out for familiar spots from the show.
Create your own scrapbook and turn in-game memories into playful moments in real life.
Sorry, I hiccup through that entire read.
As everybody knows, I love Bluey.
Ben has moved on in his show watching, but I always keep my eye on the Bluey games.
I know Quest for the Gold Pin was a great one.
This one, it looks kind of like Toom, which is a game I appreciate so much.
And, of course, Toom 2 is out imminently as well.
So I'll check it out, but I don't know if I'll be able to get Ben into it
because he's so into Hot Wheels Infinite Rush right now.
And Lego Batman.
Torments at Souls 2 also comes out on the 15th, Switch 2.
Chained Beast comes to everything it looks like.
It Takes 2 shows up on Switch 2.
That brings us, October 16th.
Tales of Attrnia Remastered comes to everything about.
Tenebris Somnia comes to Jeopard.
Just about everything.
Sound system comes to PC early access.
Resident Evil 2, Resonable 4,
Gold Edition, and Resident Evil 3 all come to Switch 2, Timmy.
Very cool.
Very cool.
And then Lego, Harry Potter Collection comes to Switch 2.
We jump to October 20th, and we were here tomorrow.
Comes to Xbox, Series X, PlayStation 5, and PC.
Blessing and Greg, do you guys mess with those games?
Those are really great co-op puzzle-solving games.
Yeah, that's why I was going to read about it.
You and your partner awaken inside a mysterious facility.
with little recollection of how you got there.
Communicate, cooperate, and unravel the secrets in this asymmetrical co-op adventure.
Only together will you decide the fate of tomorrow.
Mike, I put this on here, yes, specifically for me and Bless,
because we like those kind of puzzly games.
Of course, Escape Academy would.
Come on.
And then me and Tim obviously doing so much of the Hayes Lights together.
I didn't know about this series, though, until I watched this trailer where they describe,
it's a series of games.
Yeah, they have a couple of great games before this that are exactly up your alley with
this co-op puzzle-solving game.
And I know we're currently waiting Escape Academy 2 out in November 2026, they're saying.
So we're waiting for that.
Of course, I had you guys dip a little bit into Escape Simulator 2, which came out earlier this year,
is also great.
Is that the one where we were in the room and we all had to read the thing?
We were trying to open the panels.
I was thinking about that one.
There's a lot of great co-op puzzle-solving games out there for you to play if you enjoy
those games.
The Hayes likes, we call them with certain fun ones like that.
But this game, in particular in this,
franchise is really, really good if you're ever looking for a fun one for you.
Mike, put me and Greg in a stream to do this.
Let's do it.
I'm down.
Let's do it.
I get excited when I see a block in a public game.
It's a good block.
October 20th also has Micah Punk PlayStation 5.
October 21st sees Stupid Never Dies, PlayStation 5, and PC.
And Escape from Playtime on PC.
That Stupid Never Dies game is...
When we've seen a lot of.
You've seen a lot of.
It looks like a Sudof 51 game, except not made by Sudof 51.
It doesn't look like it's going to be good, but who knows?
That's why I didn't call it out.
I was like, I know we keep seeing.
this, but I also know none of us ever talk about
being excited about it. Yeah.
Then you're on to October 22nd.
Another big day. Final Fantasy resonance
comes to everything. Return to the pixel art world of
Final Fantasy evolved from its classic roots.
Travel with companions bound by fate and call on visions
to age you in battle to uncover the truth
behind a force that threatens to bring everything
to ruin. This, of course, is the HD2D
debut of Final Fantasy in that
octopath style. I can't
fucking wait. When I was at Pax, it's the only demo I took. They dropped me to chapter two.
I was like, this is kind of hard not to wrap my head around gameplay-wise, obviously. It's
turn-based combat into HD-2D, but there was visions and all those espers, and I was like, I don't
fully understand it. And then, of course, when I had flown to Pax, is when they had shadow
dropped the demo. And so in my hotel, I downloaded that, which actually turned out to be
chapter one, and I had a much more charming onboarding. And I was like, oh, this is the shit.
I can't wait for this. Is there a game of the year potential for you,
this one, Greg.
Am I right to saying that Octopath Traveler's Year was my game in the year last time around?
It's really hard to say.
Based on the chapter, so I've done the entire chapter one demo, which is five hours.
I got through it in five hours.
So as always, lengthy demos, which I love for that, right, when they put this kind of stuff out
because they do it for Octopath as well.
I'm not against it.
I'm not saying no, but I'd be shocked if it was.
What I love about, I mean, it's right now, like, I can't wait.
It's one of those kind of games.
That demo did what I love of side missions where it's like,
hey, here are a bunch of side quests,
and they're hitting on heartstrings.
They're doing things you're unexpected.
You're marveling it, Mike, over the room.
Not listening to a goddamn word we're saying
and reacting to some game he's looking at.
Are you at the same chat?
Jay Folkram says, this game looks like ass.
And call me an ass, man.
Yes, yes, yes, yes.
Anyways, I really liked what I played.
side missions were compelling and like, oh damn, like this isn't just a stupid thing.
Like, this guy's blind and he needs this and this is why.
I'm like, damn, that's fucking cool.
And like, this girl wants me to find her mom.
And that's a whole fucking thing.
I was like, damn, that's, you like, so if we keep that up over as many hours as it is,
I'm excited.
We'll see.
October 22nd also sees Nintendo Switch Sports Resort come to Switch 2.
Hell yeah.
Gently swing your racket, pull back and aim like an archer and more in 12 sports with
intuitive motion controls.
Move together in sports like bowling and basketball.
duke it out in boxing and even battle with one thumb and thumb wrestling.
There are lots of ways to compete and have fun together.
I have such nostalgia for these games.
I know we all do, but this is one that I can't wait to mess around with.
I play a bit of Switch sports.
I'm hoping this is a stickier than that, but obviously, like, I think we all have
different gaming tastes, and so how long are we really going to play these for?
It's when you always just want on the system, bless, right?
We're always chasing that high of Wii sports, and it's like that vibe of just, you
never know when people are over at the house. You want to turn it on and get some laughed in.
Sometimes you want to stand up. I do question the choices of certain sports titles that they
put in here. I would love to be in that boardroom when they're like, you know what? We should
add baseball. And someone was like, you know what? What did they got against baseball? Let's do
thumb wrestling instead. And I'd be like, no, you know, but I'm very excited for, of course, bowling,
basketball, boxing. These are all must-haves. Tennis is a must-have. So I'm really excited
about that. And the return of golf,
I'm very pumped up for golf.
I wish there was basketball or baseball in this.
I don't know why we don't have baseball.
Agreed.
They want to save that for a bigger thing,
for Mario to come back.
One day.
Man.
Chats killing me today, man.
Zach just says this game looks like boobs.
See, I expect that from Zach.
The ass man comment.
I was it. I did not see coming.
I did not see that one coming.
Uh, I've lost control of my mouse on this station.
Next up in the guy.
I can do it over here.
I'll just turn my head this way.
Uh, so then yeah, but after, still on the 22nd, you're getting Azar, Striker, Gunvolt
trilogy enhanced on Switch 2.
Cotton Reboot, reboot high tension on PlayStation's 4 and 5 in Switch.
Cotton reboot, oh, cotton reboot not high tension, Switch 2 and PS5.
Back to the Dawn on PS5, Fatal Fury, City of Wolves on Switch 2.
Then October 23rd.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4.
Everything, of course, war erupts on the Korean Peninsula as North Korea launches an invasion that threatens to destabilize the world in Call of Duty Modern War for.
Everything including Switch 2.
Yeah.
Crazy.
We're here, baby.
Greg, yesterday, if I were to go to your house, knock on your door, hold a gun to your head immediately and be like, what call of duties coming out this year?
Would you have been able to nail it?
What I can't believe is that you're stealing the words from my mouth.
What I was going to tell you is when I was building this.
Doc and they went, oh, Call of Duty, Modern Warfare 4.
Is that, are they remastering it?
I'm like, oh no, this is a brand new one.
This is the one, okay, okay, okay, okay.
Did we get to 4 before?
That's why I'm here.
That's why I'm here.
Have we ever gotten to 4?
For Modern Warfare?
Yeah.
I don't believe so.
I think three was the last, was the one we got to before.
Because the first modern warfare.
I don't think the 4th is.
Travel in the country, only see an HD 2D games.
Fucking Call Duty modern War for a lot.
Oh my God, it's old, right?
Remember when in Black Ops they got to four instead of doing IV?
They're like, just do four lines.
It'll be easier for us.
Of course, I have previewed this.
I went down and checked it out early.
I have played with Call of Duty next with Roger.
I am very excited as a Call of Duty guy for this game.
I'm really pumped up about the campaign.
In particular, we've touched on Black Ops 6 being a great return to form with the Black
Ops campaign.
We touched on the 2019 Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 campaign being so good.
and kind of being returned to forms,
and then we hit Modern Warfare 3, which was kind of a miss,
and Blackop 7, which was kind of a miss.
This one feels like, hey, we're back in the right place for call of duty,
especially with the campaign.
You talk about what they're going to do with multiplayer.
A lot of people have already played that with those open betas
that now coming to switch.
But the big piece of all of this is that third pillar,
and that is DMZ returning, right?
We are still learning more about DMZ.
There's not much out about it besides just some small things.
And so the question will be is, can Call of Duty return to the extraction shooter in a big way?
They learned a lot from DMZ the original first time.
We've seen a lot of big time extraction shooters take over the market.
Call of Duty will step back into that role here with DMC this time around.
And I'm expecting big things.
I hope it's really, really fun.
My thing with this is with Gamescast, there was a certain point where we restarted the numbering
and there was always a guy in the comments who's still there.
That'll be like, this is actually Gamescast episode.
yada-da-data and give like the up-to-date number
and that's how I feel about this
Call of Duty Modern Warfare for. I'm like, this isn't
College of Duty Modern Warfare 4. It's College of Duty Modern War for 7.
Why did we restart the numbers for no reason?
We had to restart the numbers. Why did we had to restart the numbers?
You just said we got Black Op 7.
The franchise is 20 plus years old. They got to restart the number.
We got Black Ops 7. Why didn't they restart it for Black Ops?
We were starting it for Modern Warfare.
They'll restart Black Ops. Get ready.
Salt McTalish.
They'll restart Black Ops.
Never forget so much.
McTavish. Sop, of course,
Dark Price will be in this fighting.
Dark Price? What does that fucking mean?
Dark. Just so you know, Price
is gone rogue. This is a big
storyline. Price is gone rogue.
They're calling him Dark Price. No, they're not.
And he's on the run.
Shadow Price and the boys are going to
have to put a stop to this shit.
This is some real shit, man.
Dark Price?
Dark Price.
Is slaying me.
All right.
Mike, we're going to have to take another ad break.
I do want to toss in October 23rd.
One Piece Grand Gourmet comes to everything, including iOS.
Hop aboard, a delectable management sim in the world of One Piece,
work alongside the Straw Hat crew to build the greatest floating restaurant of the seas,
collect ingredients, dream up dishes, and decorate to have familiar faces lining up for more.
I won't lie to you, everybody.
There's so many games on this list, I had blown past this one.
But a super chat from Bob's, oh, Bob Shiggity says,
super excited for One Piece Grand Gourmet
played many Kairosoft games
and love One Piece.
Going to put so much time into this.
This, of course, reminded me that, of course,
I love Kairosoft games.
And when this debut during, I think, a direct,
I popped the fuck off when I figured out it was them
because, of course, I love Game Dev story,
pro wrestler story, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.
So to see whatever they're going to do with an IP
that I don't know, but run a restaurant,
I will be playing this one.
I'm excited for this.
I love hearing that, Greg.
Because I'm going to be playing a lot of this game
and maybe we can compare restaurants
and talk about our journeys.
Sure, I would love that.
Maybe we just put on one episode of One Piece, and we see where it takes.
That's great.
Maybe one becomes two.
Two becomes three.
All of a sudden, three is 11664 episodes.
Where are you at?
595 episodes.
The worst thing you can do is put on an episode of One Piece or Ben.
Because that will change the trajectory.
We can't do that.
That would be cool.
That would be cool.
I don't know about that.
He's already in a shadow of the hedgehog.
Let Mike and I watch Ben for a weekend.
Not that I'm bad for it.
Uncle Barrett and Uncle Mike.
Greg, you don't want that.
All one piece.
Now, I'm excited for One Piece, Grand Gourmet.
I'm also excited for October 26th, Fangtopia.
I want you to know, it is rare that I send Cool Greg gaming recommendations.
But I ran into this last night and I was like, bro, you missed that Goosebubst Town Builder?
This is your shit.
Coming to Switch to PC and PlayStation 5.
Sink your fangs into Fangtopia, a cozy and relaxing tile puzzle game where you assemble landscapes to craft a monster-riffing.
paradise for friendly ghouls and ghosts
design a carefree
scare free world of gentle chills
it looks like
such a chill I'm not the cozy game
guy like I know I like
dead people in my games and crying
about them but I've never been the cozy
whatever like this looks like
oh man let's do some hexagon building
werewolf town yeah I'll go build a Dracula town
what's up with that that sounds like fun
oh man sentence is said today
also on October 26
another fucking Greg game
Nightplane comes to PC.
This one looks rough around the edges, but I love what they're putting down.
Nightplane is a job sim horror game,
where you work as a flight attendant on a doomed plane.
Check tickets, serve passengers, and decide who stays on board as demons hide among innocent souls.
Naturally, management says it's your problem.
Rough around the edges, for sure, but I like supporting small games, Mike.
You are speaking my language, Big Dog.
I'm loving what you're putting down on this.
Nightplane looks like a goofy ass.
Yeah, I want to fuck around.
Dude, let's play this.
Greg, what if I recommended you, a couple other ones, like Zucosis, Mortuary's Assistant.
We just played a really fun one where you run a convenience store,
and you got to find out if they're hell demons coming in and buying stuff.
I believe that shift after midnight.
I got some great games for you to play.
If you're into this management, Sam meets horror games.
I just don't know where you, how do you find the time to find all these games and play them?
I feel like I'm playing games nonstop.
And somehow you play twice as many.
You live a life.
I don't go outside.
I guess I do go outside
You went to a concert last night
You have volleyball the night
Mike doesn't have those kind of commitment
You know what?
Mike's biggest problem right now
is getting a megaladone plastic shark at home
That's what he's going to worry about, all right?
October 27th sees Emberville

October 29th, we go out with a bang.
Phantom Blade Zero comes to PC and PlayStation 5.
S-game presents Phantom Played Zero a fusion of classic Wusha?
How do I say it?
I think you got it.
Wusha?
Okay.
Storytelling and exhilarating action powered by Unreal Engine 5.
You play a soul, a warrior with only 66 days left to live.
Fend off assassins unravel world any conspiracies and defend your values with your life.
Blessing?
Come on.
Come on.
For me, this is the action game I've been most excited for this year.
I got to do a demo a couple of summer game fests ago, and there's something about the flare and speed of it that feels truly unique.
I know the question me and Mike will ask all the time in Andy, when a new game like this is coming out is like, what is the it factor?
What's this game doing that is separating it out from other games?
And really it is, I just don't see other games doing it like this,
looking like this, moving like this, the choreography of your actions,
how good they look.
I'm really excited about this.
Mike, I assume, are you in the same place?
It's one of the few that gives me the true Sekiro vibes,
where when you saw Sekiro, you were like, oh, wow, you're doing something different.
There's a speed to all the animations as Blessing brought up.
And also, for me, bless, the story, right?
Like, everything that Andy has talked about with us,
every time we've watched the trailer, this interesting story.
of like, your time is up, you've got to start moving.
I'm interested in that.
And so, yeah, I can't wait to play this game.
It's going to be, I'm hoping for a really good one here.
You're far from alone.
Haloid in the chat says, Andy isn't here,
so I know I'll need to support Phantom Blade Zero,
which has Game of the Year written all over it.
I hope, man.
I'm right there.
No, they say it's only Andy.
I think it's going to be in the top 10.
Really?
I think it'll be in the conversation.
I think between me, Mike, and Andy playing it.
Okay.
Tim Mike and playing on it.
Yeah.
I mean, my thing is, like, especially after owning Musha, like, yes, dude, please.
Yeah.
Just don't have to be too soulsy, which it doesn't seem like it is.
This seems way more action-focused.
Yeah, I think for you meeting on Amusha or Onamusha, like, I think you'll be able to slide in there.
Adam Two Times says, I'm looking forward to The Witcher 3 again and Phantom Blade Zero.
Won't get much time to play anything in October.
I spend half of it in San Francisco with you all.
Hell yeah.
Top 100.
We can't wait to see everybody out here.
Jeremy Snow says, happy to be spending some time with you all post-surgery.
Belmont's curse.
Final Fantasy Resonance in Phantom Played Zero.
October is going to be hype.
If I can rewind for a second,
because I thought I recognized the title
Virtue and a Sledgehammer.
That's one that's made by the devs
of the Cosmic Wheel's
Sisterhood, which I believe was published by
Devolver. And this Virtue and a Sledgehammer
also published by Devolver.
Looks really interesting. Go back to your hometown
and tear it down with the Sledgehammer in this
narrative of exploration game. Confront your past
in a devastating story about feeling
like you no longer belong in the place you grew
up. That's one of the games coming out, October 27th, that I think looks really cool that
should be on your radar. It's got a roller drone vibe to. Remember that game? Yeah. Yeah.
And then closing out the month, The Wolf Among Us remastered comes to PC Xbox Series X, a dark
detective thriller where folklore is real, violence is chilling, and every choice has consequence.
Of course, an old-school tell-tale game now being redone by Telltale, the new Telltale, as they get
for eventually, apparently one day maybe
putting out the Wolf Among Us too.
This is one of the few telltale games I didn't play.
I played so many of them from Borderlands
to Batman to, of course, to Walking Dead,
but I didn't play Wolf Among Us.
So there's always a lot of conversation about it.
I think I'm going to give it a try with this remaster
and see if I vibe with it or not ahead of number two.
That'll be interesting yet for a lot of people.
Wolf Among Us, of course, pulled from the comic book series
Fables set in that world.
When it dropped, it did numbers.
People really, really liked it.
And I, this was one of those first times where I was like, oh, like, I can't be into every telltale game.
You know what I mean?
Like, I never liked Fables, the comic book.
So, like, trying to jump in here, it just never worked for me.
And it reminds me a lot, Mike, of now how I am with Ilphonic.
Where it was like, fuck yeah, Friday 13.
Fuck yeah, a predator.
Fuck yeah, ghostbusters.
Killer clowns from out of life.
I'll see you later.
I'll see you later.
I'll see you later.
Oh, we're back with Halloween?
Fuck yeah.
Like, you know what I mean?
Like, you just got to be picking and calling your shot there.
You didn't mention Arcade of getting in.
Hard to believe.
Hard to believe I didn't do that.
J.J. Baseball Superchats here now that we're done with October games and says,
Emberville should be on y'all's radar. Diablo mixed with Starty Valley and some really deep systems.
I looked at Emberville and I've heard of Emberville and we've talked about Emberville and like showcases this and stuff.
It looks too Stardu for me, where it's just like I'm not, I don't like the tending crop stuff and doing that whole thing.
But I hear you and I know that that's a popular game, but I knew here we wouldn't have much to say.
Foxy C. Played Superchatted and said, I heard that.
Silver Pines mentioned. I played the demo and made a video about it on YouTube.com slash
Foxy Steve plays. That's two X's. It was pretty awesome. See again,
I'm hearing so much about this demo. Sandy Queen, Superchast and says
belated birthday tax turned 31 on September 18th and I just wanted
to say I've been watching you all for nearly a decade and Twitter was right. You guys fell
off. J.K., you guys rock. Love you all. Gotta go back to work. Bye. Happy birthday. Happy birthday.
I read Twitter. Chaos Killer X7. I opened Twitter
like last night on a lark
because I needed to try to see about DMing somebody
and the first thing was somebody
tweeting a video of us and I like them like I don't even
worry about this. I'm glad
they like Mike, I don't care.
I love it. I love, dude. Everyone loves
you Mike. You're the hero.
You speak truth
to power, Mike. Speak truth to power. Maybe
they won't sell right away. Hey, Mike,
get real. You don't know what the fuck is happening.
Chaos Killer X-7
says in addition to my last super chat, this is a rallying
cry for the 12 total war players in the
chat. Shogun 2 complete edition on the
13th. 64-bit.
Go get them. Enjoy that.
Total war. Okay, I'll look that up.
Huey Yang 10 says Phantom Blade Zero.
Hype, you're far from alone.
I got three more here.
Kobe says, just got back
for my first ever trip to Japan. What a wonderful
experience in my favorite place in the world.
Super Potato killed my wallet. Happy to be back.
Hell yeah. We'll do that. Nice. We're happy to have you
back and yes, Super Potato will do that quite a bit.
Melo Fellow says
Since this game came out yesterday,
I'd like to shout out
Stunt Boost.
Scratches a nice skateboard itch
with a great level of design
and smooth physics.
I've been on two shows.
I can't talk anymore.
And then the final super chat
that I missed here was from
Chaos Killer X7,
who says month five of me donating
until the Elder Scroll 6 is re-revealed.
October is packed.
My wallet empty,
but bring me Ace Combat 8.
Give me my metal gear with Jets.
Man.
Sorry, I pixelated Solon chat.
It just reminded me, oh, man,
Phantom Blade is right before Ocarina.
Yeah.
And that's a good point.
It is.
Oh, because that's not going to be a short game.
I think there's one more super check, Greg.
One more super check.
Double check.
I just closed it.
It's coming in.
It's coming in.
It's coming in.
What shit?
Is this a fucking dog game again?
It's coming home.
Watch that dog trailer.
It's not good.
Why are we doing this?
You have to watch that trailer.
Make you laugh.
All right.
I open it up over here.
Is it through yet still?
It is through.
Here it is.
It's from a young gentleman
called Snowbike Mike.
It says Mike has a final call.
Yeah.
Thanks, Craig.
Thank you, Tim.
I have a quick three callouts
really fast.
Jesus Christ.
Hunter Simulator 3 coming out
on October 29th.
Have y'all ever played the humpikes?
I have things to do.
Let me tell you why.
It's a blast.
On top of that,
Cairn, on the trail,
deep water, free DLC coming out.
Keep an eye on that one.
Played that on Monday.
I think I might play Cairn.
I had a really good time with that.
Somebody has to.
Final call out.
Played World of Warcraft Forever last night, Greg.
On controller, Gregi,
you're gonna love this.
I'm in, baby.
I know. Thanks for waiting for me like you said.
Thanks for playing with me and Jen, like you said.
