Welcome to the Kind of Funny Games cast
for Friday, August 28th,
2026.
I'm one of your host, Greg Miller,
alongside Forbes 30 under 30,
AKA,
Leftover Poppy, aka New York Game Awards nominated, aka Hot Jackabobie,
AKA Biasat Poppy, it's blessing Eddie Oye, Jr.
I have some leftovers waiting for me.
I got for lunch I had, oh, Little Lucas.
Oh, yeah.
I got the brisket sandwich.
Yeah.
Oh, they give you a big sandwich there.
It's the biggest sandwich I've ever eaten.
That's a sandwich that could last a week.
Yeah.
A whole week.
I ate half of it.
I'm not feeling that well.
I'm not feeling too good.
And it's also one of those sandwiches where the meat is so good, but even like, I started picking out the meat before I even got into the sandwich.
And then I just had like a lot of bread left and like garlic sauce on it.
And even just that.
Oh yeah.
Even that was a meal by itself.
You did great.
You're killing it.
Over there, of course, it's the one the only.
It's Samir's father at Tim Getty's.
That Tim Host.
Very excited for this.
I love these episodes.
Always fun to see all the games coming out.
And there's one game on the list today that I am incredibly excited for that y'all will never expect.
Whoa!
Everybody, of course, this is every video game coming out in September,
a kind of funny games cast tradition where we run you through the upcoming month of what you can expect.
Of course, if you like that, Super Chat.
Just kidding.
We had to record this one in advance because of Pokemon Worlds.
Instead, enjoy.
Chat amongst yourself.
Leave a comment with the game you're excited about.
Of course, we couldn't do this without our Patreon producers on patreon.
com slash Kind of Funny.
So thank you, Carl Jacobs, Omega Buster, Delaney the Sompatwining, and Lacks Nomad.
For now, let's begin with what is and forever will be topic of the show.
Tons,
Tons,
every video game coming out in September.
We, of course, are going to the goaded site releases.com when we go through their
comprehensive list of games, events, so on and so forth, talking about what's going on out
there in the video game landscape and what we have to say about it.
September, though, 2026.
A month that has already been living.
in infamy. We have done, I think, no less than
three to four games casts already about
what are you going to play in September? How are we
tackling reviews? What are we doing? Because
it is so jam-packed with games.
And so it'll be interesting to see what little ones are
still here because the big ones, I feel like we've talked
about, but there's so many big ones. Tim,
are you worried? I'm not worried.
I was talking about this on Games Daily
earlier a couple of days ago
where it's
the two things I am worried about
are the game stepping on each other
and causing a sales problem, which will
result in never seeing follow-ups and studio closures and things like that.
Like, I think about the Titan fall situation we had a couple years ago.
And I just don't want that to happen.
Yep.
Yep.
The other thing is, am I worried personally?
It's like, I'm looking at stuff.
And I'm like, yeah, there's a lot of games that like I'd be interested in trying.
Star Wars Zero company comes to mind.
Like, there are just cool things out there that I'm like, I want to try that.
But it's like, oh, there are too many things I need to play.
I know I'm going to play.
Yeah.
And that makes it a little bit difficult.
But at the end of the day, I think this is just very good.
Oh, yeah.
There's something about this September, October that, yes, it's scary, but not really.
It's just exciting that, like, I think, I don't think that these games are going to get clowned out by each other.
I think that they're going to find their audiences.
And maybe I'm being very optimistic about it.
But I just think that there's enough for everyone.
And it seems like there's these, like, giant adventures, these Fire Enblem type games coming out, like these The Witcher 3 remastered, the blood of the Dawn Walker.
Like, you got to sink your teeth into it, pun intended.
type games, but like, they're not going anywhere.
No one's making you beat these games by any specific time, you know?
Sure.
And it's like, there was a conversation for what we do here.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
And all that.
But like, guess what?
Our game of the year list is just going to reflect a bunch of different games.
Like, we're not all going to play all the games anyways.
So find what we like.
If we all try different things and are like, dude, bless, you're going to love this.
Greg, you're going to love that.
That's the fun part of this.
So I'm not worried.
Bless.
You say Titanfall thing happened a couple years ago.
What if I told you that was a decade.
Yeah, I know.
What I'm doing that was 10 whole years ago.
But it's the best example of it.
Oh, for sure.
Like, I'm just like a true, hey, there's no whips and
butts about it.
Like that happened.
Like, it was a direct cause and effect.
Yeah.
I just think we're in a different place now.
I feel I'm very lucky and we'll see as we go through.
There are things that have to be sacrificed here.
You bring up Star Wars Zero Company,
a game that came out this week.
And I heard Mike's preview with Lucy,
thought he did a great job.
I was excited for it,
especially off of Midnight Suns,
but other redactics,
have gotten in the way for review that I mean, man, Zero Company probably is going to be somewhere in October for me to actually get into it.
And even like looking a little bit ahead, Moonlighter 2, 1.0 release, that ain't getting primetime placement.
But when I'm talking about the big games and the big conversation for me, I feel like they're actually spaced out an appropriate level where I can be able to get things done.
But we're getting ahead of ourselves.
Let's start on let me answer the question by the way.
You do that thing where you say something else and you move the story on.
Bless, are you worried? I'm sorry.
I've already had to sacrifice things. Like Star Wars Zero Company.
I really wanted to play and already I've been working on a redacted.
Blood of the Dawn Walker, I will likely never play.
Like, to Tim's thing, you will, like, there are other times, all these things.
Games are always coming out.
Like, we're talking about September, like a pack month because it is a pack month.
We will always be in September.
Like, in February, we will be in September.
In March, we will be in September.
Like, we have reached a point in video game releases where it's always saturated.
And I just had to accept that I'm not going to be able to play all the games that I want to
play because when I pick up one game, guess what?
Games are long, which means I'm not going to play this other game.
Crazy.
Yeah.
So I've already had to make the sacrifices.
September for me is going to be a month of sacrifices, but Which of Three, we're back,
maybe.
I'm going to wish, your Kass, which are Wednesday.
Come on.
That's what we're talking about.
You're so right there, Blas.
Like, I agree with what you're saying where I was more about the audience.
You know what you mean?
I don't think that anybody's fucked here.
It's like, hey, you have all the time of the world to, like, play these games.
It's like, it's just when, and there are members of the audience that, whether it's
their job or not want to be up on everything and want to play all the games and I get that it's
impossible you're not going to be able to and like the moment you just accept the sacrifice it's like
all right cool let's just do your best and have fun that's the entire point of all of it so now we begin
on September 1st you get two games right off the rip knuckle jet on PC and then crimson moon on
Xbox PC and PlayStation you are niffel a human angel hybrid for it to defend humanity
with supernatural powers, fight solo or with a friend to annihilate demons and challenge brutal bosses in relentless melee combat.
Rise, violent one, the prophecy is yours to fulfill.
Developer and publisher are probably monsters.
And one I hadn't been paying much attention to, and then there was enough scuttle butt in the office of people being interested in it that I took a look.
And obviously, as we see it right now, looks great.
I think this is definitely in Andy, Mike, streaming boys, let's get in there and do some co-op.
Bless, I think you'd be the most in line with what I read.
Are you paying attention to...
Yeah, I played this at Summer Game Fest.
Okay.
I liked it at Summer Game Fest, actually.
I think $20.
Can you go back to...
I want to double check that is $20.
It's $20 and then Deluxe Edition's $30, yeah.
That's such a good price point for this game.
If you're somebody who likes action games,
soul slash Sekiro-like games, right?
Plus, that mix of, like, kind of a rogue-like structure.
I think this will do a lot for you.
If you like a game like Elden Ring Night Rain,
I think this is one that's worth checking out.
I was pretty impressed and surprised
because it also was very much not on my radar
until I checked it out.
And as soon as I understood it and got it,
I was like, oh, this is a really smart idea of a game
that has pretty good execution
in like the 30 minutes to an hour long that I played.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Looking forward to see if it turns heads,
if it lands the thing,
if people enjoy it.
Because again, yeah, it seems like it's got the stuff
in terms of, oh, yeah, this is it.
But for me, I look at it,
and I don't think there's enough story to it for what I went out of it.
You know what I mean?
Like, that's not what I didn't get any sense of
story. I'm sure it's
this is, I'm sure super insulting and I don't mean it to be.
But I mean it, the good ways of it kind of reminds me of what
Godfall always looked like. Sure.
Where I'm like, okay, cool, jump in there smash some shit.
You know what I mean? Like that kind of look to it. But yeah,
good luck to you, Crimson Moon. You'll need it this month
because it's crazy. Real quick.
Didn't expect this to happen. I ordered food
that said it was going to take 45 minutes to get here.
And it didn't. It got here right now.
Okay. I'm very hungry. So I don't like doing this and I apologize.
But I'm going to grab it. I'm going to eat it here.
Oh, that's fine.
I'm just like starving.
I thought you were.
Also, this is late in the day, so I've been on a lot of stuff all day.
It's 3.16 in the afternoon.
We've all been working our butts off.
I apologize.
I thought you were going to say, I have to eat, and I'm leaving the show to eat.
I was like, God damn, all right, Tim.
That's crazy.
I've never, 11 years.
You'd be like, I'm just leaving the show.
10 minutes and said, I'm done.
I'm not coming back.
I'm going home afterwards, by the way.
Let's move on to September 2nd.
We're talking about Moonlighter to the Endless Vault.
This is the 1.0 release switch.
PC, Xbox, PlayStation, you name it from Digital Sun and Publisher, 11-bit Studios.
Experience an action-rpggy with rogue-like elements where you live the double life of an
adventure and a merchant.
Dive into vibrant dimensions to fight enemies, gather loot, and manage your backpack.
Rebuild your shop and turn profits into gear for the next adventure.
If you are a longtime kind of funny fan, you know I was obsessed with Moonlighter 1.
I adored it.
Then, of course, Moonlighter 2 came out in early access at a bad time.
I played a little bit of it. Andy did a review for us and it loved it.
And then him and I have anxiously awaited 1.0.
And I can say this is a terrible time for the release 1.0 for me personally.
I will get to Moonlighter to 1.0, but it will be another one that I will be pushed out
because of how much competition and work is going on right now.
But I will tell you with my full chest, go buy it.
I loved what I played at Moonlighter too.
Like I said, Andy loved it last year.
Right? Is that right?
Yeah, last year.
Yeah.
When it came out in early access.
So I'm excited to see what they got off their sleeves for a full release.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, I'm such a big fan of the art style.
And this is one that I was very interested in.
I told myself, I'm going to wait until 1.0.
And, yeah, like you mentioned, this is not a really great time for a 1.0.
This is not a great time for a 1.0 right now.
But do you think, I'm not trying to stop you.
I want it to happen for you, Moonlighter.
And, of course, Digital Sun.
Also, on September 2nd, you're getting Wuthering realms.
That's PC-era access.
Angeline era, maybe Angel Line era, Xbox, and Switch and a couple other ones.
and then he who watches on PC
Bless, I grabbed this one for you.
Walk on walls, manipulate gravity,
discover secrets in this first person puzzle game.
Delve deep into an ancient labyrinth
of intricate conundrums
seeking an imprisoned God at the center.
We know you are puzzle poppy.
We know it, of course, is an incredibly crowded month.
But I saw, I went through it
and it definitely has the indie vibe to it.
Yeah.
But you're manipulating, if you're first person,
and you're shooting arrows here.
We're manipulating, we're moving,
we're doing all these different stuff.
This has so many different things I like.
Because, you know,
you talk about puzzle poppy.
I like the changing your perspective sort of thing already.
I also like a game where you play with a bow and arrow.
Of course.
I like a bow and arrow video game.
So taking that and putting it in a puzzle game,
also really smart.
I love a dungeon crawler as well.
You know,
like this brings me back to playing severed or what was the typing dungeon crawler that we need you like that?
We loved it.
Shit.
That game.
Cryptkeeper?
Cryptkeeper?
Cryptkeeper?
That sounds right, but also doesn't.
Yeah, it sounds too simple.
Wasn't there like a punnant?
I forget.
But yeah, this has so many things.
The fact that it is this dungeon crawler,
you're moving a space at a time sort of game,
but it's a puzzle thing.
This is doing a lot for me.
I also think if you're an audio listener,
you can't.
A lot of the doors give me Zelda vibes.
The eye on the door and then shooting stuffing,
shooting stuff at it.
Typing game.
Crypt.
Ew, I want to see with the developers.
Crip.
it was Crip Master
We said Crip Keeper
Ah
Yeah
Okay yeah
Crip Master
Looks cool
Bobby Vanden
Okay I don't see any other games from them
Yeah Bobby Vanden is the developer on this one
It's a very small indie one
It looks to be which
Of course needs your support in this is a day age
And of course this is happening in a big month
So September 2nd about it
Tim since you missed it's a first person puzzle game
Where you go around with a bow and arrow
And like you can shoot things
But then also you change like your perspective
Like you can like look up
and then travel different directions
like you're seeing here.
I mean, this looks awesome.
It reminds me of like a cool Zelda.
It's like portal mixed with Zelda
mixed with like early 90s PC.
Yeah, dungeon colors.
The games that would come.
Yeah, exactly.
So cool.
Looking forward to seeing if this scratches the H-plus
when you get the chance to play it
because I'm sure.
Damn.
September 2nd might be jammed up for you.
It'll be tough, but now I know.
Maybe you mix some time.
I'm going to wish list it.
Wishlist it.
Every day, of course, when we do this,
have your Steam and our PlayStation,
whatever up it,
but mainly Steam is the big metric
to wish list all the games.
games we talk about you think are cool.
Even if you know you won't be able to buy it anytime soon, remember wishlisting helps
the developers.
It helps them get placement on Steam.
It, of course, also helps you.
If they ever go on sale, you go, ping, hey, this from your wish list is.
This game has a demo on Steam.
There you go.
Heads up for people who want to check it out.
After that, it's September 3rd, everybody.
The Blood of Dawn Walker comes to PC, Xbox, and PlayStation.
The Blood of Dawn Walker is an open world, dark fantasy action RPG set in 14th century
Europe.
You play as Cohen, Human by Day.
and vampire by night, fighting to save your family
and a story shaped by your actions
and the secrets you uncover.
I cannot fucking wait.
Again, I have had a very, very, very slow burn
with the blood of Dawn Walker.
And what I mean by that is that when we did our fucking fantasy draft,
I counterpicked it on Paris's thing
because I knew so little about it.
Yeah.
I was like, yeah, some Witcher guys are trying to make a vampire RPG.
I was more like, I hadn't heard a lot about it at the time.
I was like, I don't even know if it's coming out this year.
You know how it is for fantasy draft.
No one's ever picking a stinker.
It's always trying to play the numbers of it will come out.
And this definitely became what you always talked about with GTA of,
and maybe Mario of,
listen, I counterpicked it.
If it comes out, I'm fucked.
But if it doesn't come out,
if it comes out,
I'm fucked,
but I'm happy so I don't care.
Yeah, exactly.
The build up to this,
the game and former article,
Andy going and playing it,
every video I've seen,
everything I've read about it,
I'm like,
I feel like I'm going to lose myself to this game.
and I don't mind them that it'll kill me
I mean I'm already dead in fantasy critic
but you know what I mean it's just like
this seems like another one of those games
that I remember when we did the draft thing
for your most anticipated September game
mine came down to this in Wolverine
and I picked this just because I felt like
I knew what Wolverine was whereas this seems like
vampire RPG you get richer guys
you get your head wrapped around it but
I don't know I have very very very high hopes
for this and I'm hoping it lands
and I'm hoping it dominates my life.
Yeah, this is, I was going to say,
this is one that I also have very high hopes for,
and, like, I think it looks really cool.
I think I've been in the same boat as Greg
when it came to back when we were talking about it
at the beginning of the year.
I remember me talking down on it
because I had watched previous marketing material.
There was, like, at 20-minute gameplay demo,
I remember watching being unimpressed by it,
but as we've gotten closer,
the more I've heard about it and the more I've looked into it,
I'm like, oh, no, this might actually be a really cool game.
My question for you, based on what we just said
at the top of the show,
you're like, you'll never play this
just because of it. Is there anything
that could happen? Like, does it need, if it got
like 10s, if people, like, game
of the year. Is that what it needs to be?
Well, no, it's going to be less than that. It could be
less, it could be good enough.
Really what it needs to happen is for
like Wolverine to be bad.
Like, what it needs to happen is for like
on Amusha until like get out of
here and Orbrals to get bad review. Like,
the other games. I see you mean. And maybe
it's maybe this has to outclass its
supporting class. Maybe.
maybe I just say I'm not going to play Wolverine
I just play this instead.
Like maybe that's the commitment I make.
That's bold.
That's really what is coming down to
with the redacted season that we're in right now.
Like I just don't know how to manage multiple things.
When we're getting so much exciting games
or some exciting games at the same time.
So that's really what I mean when I say
I'm never going to get to play this game.
It's just that we're in that strong redacted season.
But maybe I kill one of my other babies.
I'd like to see you.
I will be interested to watch that as September.
goes. If any of these other babies
come along, you're like, no, you're dead to me. Oh, it's tough.
Speaking of tough, also
on September 3rd,
orbitals on Nintendo Switch 2,
grab a friend and launch into orbitals and
Intergalactic 2 player co-op adventures
set in a wholly new retro anime
world. Team up is Maki and
Omura, two inseparable explorers with
a whole lot more, I'm sorry, a whole lot
more termination than experience.
You'll brave the perils of space in search of
help for their crumbling station
home now trapped within a supernatural
natural cosmic storm.
I can't wait.
I couldn't possibly be more excited for this.
And then they put out the theme song,
I think last week.
And I'm just like,
holy crap.
I partly wish I didn't watch it
because I just can't wait to play the game.
But it is so good.
It's not just like,
oh, man, this is fun music.
It's like, no, this is incredible.
This is so perfect for what this game is trying to do.
And yeah, your preview got me incredibly hyped, Greg.
I was so jealous you got to play it.
But yeah,
This is one for me that is a kind of drop everything.
We got to do this.
Yeah, of course, you and me go way back, playing these games together, right?
Oh, yeah, way, way, way back.
A couple months ago, split fiction.
I played split fiction with you.
I played a couple levels of it takes two with Bless at one point, I remember.
Really?
You came over when we went to have that pizza place out of my house when I first moved.
Oh, yeah.
I'm worried about that.
A couple things.
Um, yeah, I'm excited for this one because, yeah, I played an SGF.
I mean, I like co-op games with my friends or whatever, but playing this at SGS.
with Russ. For me, it was, yeah, the gameplay is what you expect, but it was more the buy-in from
that get-go, as I always talk about, like, when it starts, the fact that even the Kepler
interactive logo makes it look like you're watching an old anime on VHS. I was like, ah, okay, wait,
and then what you're seeing here, this opening cutscene or whatever, yeah, opening cutscene,
where it's going, it's gorgeous, it's beautiful, and then jumping into gameplay and having it
play and look like you are playing in looking at a show. Very impressive.
of stuff. There's a confidence to this that
this is a art style
and a vibe that is
often replicated, but
very rarely done correctly.
And I think this is one of the very few
examples I can think of that everything I've
seen so far is pitch perfect.
It is nailing what it's going for. And it's
not just like a hey, remember
the thing. It kind of is like that. It's like, no,
this feels authentic. There's a lot of love
here. There's a Kepler game. Yeah.
Kepler's publishing it, but Nintendo's
like super behind it, obviously. It was a Switch
I'm fascinated by the fact that, yeah, Nintendo's not publishing it.
I would have, I would have thought that was the case.
Coming up, quick.
40 bucks switch to, like I said, uh, that there, September 3rd.
Far from done for September 3rd.
Speedrunners to King of Speed comes to Switch PlayStation PC, more, probably Xbox.
And then Speed Runners, just real quick, I love Speed Runners one.
I think we did a party mode or two of that night.
There was one weekend I had a bunch of my friends come over and we just played a bunch of
party games.
And Speed Runners was a major hit.
Okay.
I'm happy to is coming out.
Horrible timing for it, but I'm happy it's there and it'll be there later.
That's just a party mode for us, you think?
Yeah, I'd love that.
Hell yeah.
You know, I just don't know if the time.
Remember that for the meeting.
Cool.
Yeah, we probably put it in the streaming channel.
Thank you.
The ultimate cooperative, I'm sorry, the ultimate competitive platformer is back.
Outrun, out jump, and outsmart your rivals in cutthroat online slash local races.
Now up to eight players online.
Master the movement, learn meticulously designed maps.
Use powerful pickups, swing around with a grappling hook, and don't get knocked off.
screen. This is Fair Play Labs published by Tiny Build against Speedrunners two King of Speed.
Out September 3rd. However, is this? I didn't highlight this. I didn't highlight this one.
Who could have possibly highlighted Marsup Lammy 2, salsa. Wait. No shot. Is this the one you were
talking about? No way. Can you fucking believe it? A straight PC Xbox series PlayStation. One
more is probably switched. A strange melody has swept across Columbia and all the animals
have suddenly started dancing, leaving chaos in their wake.
The creature behind this crazy beat is none other than the Mummy Queen,
back from the Land of the Dead with her minions to play a cursed concert
with a calamitous crescendo.
A couple years ago, I introduced you boys to a character that not many have heard of.
Maybe they never heard of it.
Do you remember their name?
Dong, Tongka, are I onto it?
Nico Dorico.
Nico Jericho.
I was going to say Tonga Duranka.
Dorico.
Conco, Duronco.
When I went down my Nico Dorico rabbit hole
or whatever animal he was, Tiger Hole,
I'm not sure.
Ew.
Which is essentially a Donkey Kong
Tropical Freeze-like.
Yeah.
Which we need a lot more of in our life.
A lot of people are like,
Tim, if you liked Nico de Rico,
you got to try
Marsupilomi one.
Okay?
When Arsupilami,
I want to say a 90s
character,
not a video game,
like cartoon,
or maybe
kids educational type situation, like a Barney thing.
Like it actually existed.
This existed in the night.
I remember Marsupilami from the 90s.
I just don't remember.
Really?
But it was like,
it was on this timeline.
It wasn't on one of the real channels.
You know what you mean?
It was like,
it wasn't a Nick or Disney or Cartoon Network.
It's like you watch this on UPN.
You watch this on like something else.
I've never in my life heard of Marsupilomi.
All right.
He was a comic book character, it says.
Okay.
I swear there was a cartoon.
In the 90s,
he's a Belgian comic book character.
Okay,
an American cartoon series
C.
Marsupilami in 1993.
This is the movie.
No shot.
Oh, wait, what?
Oh, my God,
there's an actual life action
where I thought he was fucking with us.
I was just like a movie called that.
Look, yeah, he's real.
Wow.
This did not happen.
Y'all I'm fucking with me.
I get it now.
You guys are fucking with me.
So, again, the property,
whatever,
I'm surprised to it.
And it's like,
Yeah, this is just, I don't know the developers here, like why this is all happening, whatever.
Damn, watching the game, but I checked out.
Definitely, it's a nice game.
I ended up beating this.
Yeah, this is the cartoon.
This is what I grew up watching.
Okay.
I've never seen this before in my life.
But I ended up playing that game during the winter break, and I've never talked about it because it wasn't to the level of Nigo de Rico like that.
Nigo de RICO legit.
I'm like, this is fucking amazing.
Yeah.
This one I'm like, whoa, it's pretty damn good.
And like, I just sometimes like just fun QD platform is to go to.
So did not know it's getting a sequel until Greg had this list
And I saw it and I'm like excuse me
This is one I won thousand percent I'm gonna buy
Gonna have downloaded
At some point I'm gonna just jump in and have some fun with it
But Sammy will be five years old
This is a like honestly seven out of ten I'm gonna say
I expect a seven out of ten on this
Also hold on let's just look this up
It looks good this looks fun
Yeah I'll play this major surprise right
But let's look up Marsupilomi
Reviews
I like this deep dive
Because I have no idea, like, what other people thought of it.
I just got lightly recommended it.
I need, how many active players on the-
dude, it says, the 74 on Open Credit.
Okay.
And I feel great about that.
Marsupilami video game.
It came out in 2021.
No shot.
It's called Marsupilami.
Hube Adventure.
Hube Adventure.
And the Hubea is you.
I don't feel like I'm awake right now.
It's real.
I'm telling you, it's real.
I feel like I'm awake.
And it got a sequel.
Hell yeah.
That's crazy.
September 3rd, we'll also see Avatar Legends, the fighting game, come to Xbox.
How did you feel about that one?
Because you've played it already.
Oh, the game?
It's fine.
It's cool.
Whoa long, final, fine.
Oh, Jesus.
Woe Long, Fallen Dynasty, Switch 2.
Bio Eden, Switch 2, Xbox PlayStation, and more.
Sins of a Solar Empire 2, Harbringer, on PC.
Extra, Extra, PlayStation 5, Switch 2, Switch.
switch, Harshire,
a hairbrakey, X,
uh, switch and PC.
You see me, you, you got better ones?
No.
Aria, Xbox, PlayStation Switch, Star Racer on Switch.
Wait, I forget, where did you stand on ukulele in the possible layer?
So I, I've, still haven't beat it.
Okay.
It's really good. It's lacking something for me, though.
Okay.
There's something about like the, the, the, the move set that
they have that I'm like, it's good, but it's not my favorite.
It kind of reminds me of like Donkey Kong Country Returns versus Tropical Freeze,
where I'm like, God, I love Tropical Freeze so much more.
Returns pretty good, pretty good.
But, yeah, and I kind of put Impossible Layer there.
But I mean, dude, Impossible Layer is awesome.
As long as you check it out, because I forgot if you even like pleaded or not.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I'm like, you were telling me about this.
You got to play Impossible Layer, at least.
Then we move to September 4th, Onimusha, Way of the Sword,
on everything in only
gauntlet-willing samurai makes a
stand in Kyoto against the encroaching
Genma menace through gritty
blood-soaked brawls.
He searches for his reason to fight.
What fate awaits at the end
of his path? Timothy, can you believe
in the year of Our Lord, 2026, you're getting a brand new
Oneemusha? I really can't, Greg.
This is one of the games that, like, we've talked
about the Tim Getty's ear dream stuff for so long.
I really never thought that we'd get
a new Oni Musha, and if we did,
I never thought it would look this good.
and like this be this big deal from Capcom.
Yeah.
All of that to me.
I'm like, whoa, I am blessed.
I'm just going to put it out of the world.
I love a seafood too.
I've been running out of things that I've just been given.
So we need to start like putting more out there.
Kena, I never thought we're getting a sequel.
Boom, they're delivering it.
And I said that at some point.
So seafood two.
Let's make it happen.
But yeah,
can't wait for this.
I've now played two different preview events of it.
So going back to the original one where I was like a little,
I liked the vibe of the final,
or not final boss, but the boss you face off against,
but I feel like some of the traversal
to get from point A to point B was a little bit lacking.
That's the demo that everyone's able to play
and has been playing now,
so you guys understand what I'm saying.
But that second preview event I did,
there was much more substantial getting further than that.
The bosses I faced, I'm like, whoa,
there's something special here.
Like, there's something really, really good.
And specifically the boss fight,
it was so hard for me.
And like, I'm just not that type of,
gamer, but like it made me want to lock in
and I did. See, that's the
sign if you want to lock in.
And I definitely,
I'm, I'm at this point
scared of two things for this game.
One, the like
stuff that has been kind of bogging down people's
experience with the demo so far, like kind of how
easy it is in between boss fights and
like how just
you're just kind of linearly going through
essentially hallways and like is that cool?
Is that not cool? Sure. I don't know.
Is that going to sustain it? But more than that like,
can I actually do it?
You can't?
Like, can I overcome these bosses?
You can do this, Tim.
Because they,
the ones we played,
their early bosses,
they were really hard.
Yeah.
Really hard.
Bless,
have you touched this?
I did the preview
with Tim last year
at like the Capcom
gamescom thing.
You're a Perry Poppy.
Yeah,
no,
that's the part that I'm least worried about.
In fact,
my worries that the game
ends up being too easy.
Okay, okay, okay.
I'm like,
I don't want this game to be
hella easy.
I also,
you know,
I think I came out of that
last preview being like,
This seems cool.
Like, I wasn't blown away by it.
But the more we see trailers, like the latest trailer we got at Gamescom, that was the expanded
demo trailer, that had so much shit in it.
That looked really cool.
And so I'm, it's definitely one that I want to check out, even though now I'm weighing the babies.
Too many babies.
Which baby?
Some of these babies got to go.
Babies got to say sianara.
Who these babies got to go.
September 4th also sees NBA 2K-27 come to everything.
The hustle doesn't stop and the run never ends.
And NBA 2K-27.
Chase greatness around the clock.
in my career, my team, and my NBA
and make your hoop dreams a reality.
Of course, Snowbike Mike is ready
to swipe the card. Spend about $500
to hate the character he made in the game.
I, however,
am excited for this because
young Benjamin loves basketball
and he has been playing a lot of
NBA, not the run, the other one,
the kids version that came out. The bounce?
Yes, NBA bounced.
Yes, he's been doing a lot of that. And while
he enjoys that, he is a gamer of a
fine taste and wants more. And so I
I am going to get this for him.
And I am going to create it to easy and let him go out there and see what it's all about.
Hell yeah.
I think that'll be fun for you to jump.
I remember as a kid when I was like six or seven years old getting NBA, or wasn't NBA.
It was like Final Four NCAA.
Yeah.
1999.
And I just, I was obsessed with it.
And so it's really cool.
I think we all even, I would imagine Tim to some degree has this, but we all remember our first sports game.
Oh yeah.
When you get it and it's like, it is like, it's so real.
Like the fact that it does look incredibly real.
I'll be interested to see how much of a gateway
this is to Ben. And I also don't
know what the easy
difficulty, the easy mode, what that actually
looks like are plays like in this game, but I'm assuming
they have it to where Ben will have a great
time with it and go out there and have some fun.
I'm excited to see how that goes though.
Me too. And if not, Coach Michael come over and coach
him. September 4th also sees
I love
Revere's Xbox PlayStation
More. My Hero Academia
All's Justice on Switch 2.
Dream Cage on Xbox and PlayStation
and then Waste the Fallen gets a closed alpha test.
September 7 sees Wheelmates come to PC,
and then September 8th sees Halloween, the game.
Come to PlayStation 5 PC Xbox Series X.
On Halloween night, 1978, no one is safe from Michael Myers,
become the boogeyman or fight back against the face of evil itself in Halloween.
This, of course, is from our friends at Ilphonic.
Makers of Friday the 13th, Ghostbuster Spirits Unleashed,
Predator Hunting Grounds.
We have a long tradition
of playing a shit ton of these games with them.
And I am so excited for this
as Friday the 13th was my favorite
Ilphonic game.
This one being out of the licensing hell
that Friday 13th was
hopefully all the things
we've learned from those games
to make a better version that runs better
and is more fun to play, yada, yada, yada.
I'm just excited for a bunch of streams
where we act like morons with this
and chase each other around and try to kill each other.
somebody I haven't brought up to you
anytime this game's come up yet, Greg.
This is 100% going to be a James Burke platinum.
Oh, nice.
James is obsessed with the Halloween movies.
Okay.
And he's obsessed with getting platinum.
So in the game he starts,
he's going to platinum.
Yeah.
And like,
I don't think he's ever played one of these type of games.
Oh, nice.
He's good.
He's good.
I mean,
it's good enough to platinum,
like a lot of these crazy games.
Yeah.
He would love to.
And I guarantee he'd be,
get to that point where a lot of the trophies
are going to be multiplayer-based.
So if you're looking for people,
he's the guy.
He will.
be in. I appreciate that. I like that
a lot. I will be looking at that. I also really love Halloween.
And it's like I, so far these games, I mean,
they're by design, they're not for me,
but like I do love the concept. I love that popping
in for a stream or two. Like that's
cool. But yeah, Halloween is something that is way more near and due to my
heart than Friday the 13th or
Predator at the time. I love Predator now, but
yeah, yeah, when we're doing hunting grounds.
You know, so Halloween is like
a franchise I actually know. The wrinkle
to this one that I think is crazy to think about
is remember last year when they announced this date,
And we were all like September 8th, 2026.
Like we were, I think it was like, was it SGF they did it at?
Like it was more than a year out to the point that when they said September,
you're like this, oh, next year.
And here we are.
We're fucking here.
That's how fast the year went.
September 8th also sees Ova Magica come to PlayStation Switch and a bunch of others.
Honeycomb, the world beyond come to PlayStation PC and Xbox.
Bus Simulator 27 come to PlayStation Xbox PC.
Coltsep, the first Saturn tribute come to switch, PlayStation, PlayStation, Xbox, cat me if you can on PC.
Sprawl Zero on Xbox, PlayStation, and more, surviving Mars relaunched, feeding the future on PlayStation Xbox PC.
Factory default, build, trade, repeat on PC.
Then, September 9th, sees Valheim 1.0 come to PC, a brutal exploration of survival and survival game.
Let me try this again.
a brutal exploration and survival game
for one to ten players set in a procedurally generated
purgatory inspired by Viking culture
build battle and conquer your way to a saga worthy
of Odin's patronage.
This is another one that's been a big hit with the Gibroni boys
in the streaming room.
I don't know when the last time they did it was
but when they were doing it, they did it a lot.
Right, Kevin?
You were trapped in there playing chopping wood for them,
weren't you at one point?
I love chopping wood for them.
Are you excited at all for 1.0?
Um, I, you know, I wish I could be, but like, I think the momentum has moved onto and shrouded for us.
Sure. Yeah, it'll be interesting to see if you guys go back at all. Yeah, I'd be willing to get back in there and chops some more wood for them.
Sure. We'll see if it happens. I just wanted to call it out as a game. You've seen so much streaming here.
September 9th also sees Barbarian saga the Beastmaster Xbox Switch PC and more postal brain damaged these sunny days on PC.
Detective VR and PSVR 2 PC, PlayStation 5, Folklands on PC.
Sunset Summit on PC.
September 10th, then sees my son Ben's world come to a grinding halt
because he'll have to go fast for Hot Wheels Infinite Rush.
Xbox PlayStation PC Switch.
Jump into a hot wheel-sized world with four islands packed with events,
challenges in full-throttle mayhem,
collect iconic vehicles, assemble your rush squad,
build epic tracks, and earn the title of Rush Master.
I played this at SGF.
I was blown away when they let me choose a hot wheel at the end to go home with,
made it easy to bring Ben something.
but if you aren't watching and are just listening,
imagine Hot Wheels
Forza Horizon.
You are in an open world
Hot Wheels play set where you're driving around.
It's not like Hot Wheels
Unleashed. Thank you. One and two that Ben was obsessed with, and you've heard me talk
about, which was very much like the tracks are in your house.
They're in the Vin Diesel's garage.
This is, you are in a Hot Wheels world.
The trees are all little plastic trees that you knock over
and they make a very satisfying pop noise.
what they're talking about, the Rush Squad here you just saw.
You have at any point a four loadout of cars that you then go through and like,
you have a speeder and a demolisher or whatever, a big one.
You then slot cars in there to then have kind of like your packs in your hand if you wanted to go do it.
Yes, you can edit.
You're unlocking different things.
There's races.
There's people you daredevil you run into that you then beat them in your collection.
My son's going to be obsessed with it.
And honestly, I think I will be to, to a degree in terms of like,
I loved Unleashed, but it was so on race, on trails, we're just racing.
The open world, for me, burnout paradise kind of game is way more exciting to me.
And I know how much Ben loves being in Hot Wheels video games.
So, I had a great time at SGF.
I'm looking for it.
Me too.
September 10th also has War Dogs, PC Early Access, the Legend of Heroes Trails from Zero.
Switch to PlayStation 5.
Broken Lord, don't lie, PC, Xbox PlayStation.
The Legend of Heroes trails to Azurs, Switch 2 and PlayStation 5.
Tohu, Coma, Cayu, New Classic, the embodiment of Scarlet Devil, PlayStation Switch, PC, I assume Xbox.
Takeover 2 on PC, then Shroom and Gloom on PC.
Shrooming Gloom is a first person, rogue-like deck builder for you.
That builds, that brings you mobs of monstrous mushrooms and mountains of mega-comboes.
Unleash hundreds of cards to hack slash and roast your way through.
hand-drawn dungeons of fungal foes build devastating decks and grow cards into massive abominations
as you fight your way to the heart of the gloom yeah this is one that i highlighted um i had the
demo of this game downloaded through like eight steam necks fests ago and i never i never booted it up but
it always looked super cool to me and i'm happy that it's now finally releasing in full hate that is releasing
september um well in this september but um i wanted to highlight it just because i think it looks cool
and that viewers watching, if you're looking at it,
of course, the art style really pops with it,
but even just being a rogue-like deck builder,
dungeon-crawling video game,
I know there's people out there that that appeals to
because I'm one of those people.
So, Truman Gloom.
Also happening September 10th,
the Allahe Her circle,
Dante's Bloodline, Xbox PlayStation PC,
ex-sanguis PC early access,
forsworn on PC,
and then Magical Blush on PC.
Magical Blush is a top-down,
action adventure where fast-paced elemental combat meets Metroidvania style exploration.
Chain spell combos, exploit elemental weaknesses, rescue survivors, and battle the powerful
elemental lords as you explore the wondrous world of win.
I put this one down there.
I like the animation style a lot.
It strikes me as one of those games, me and Andy would like to fuck with probably and get
out there and do.
I don't know if I'll make time for it to have it ready to go, but it earned its wish list
with me.
There's something to watch here, and I want to see if they land the plane on it.
very colorful, you know, that 8-bit indie kind of look to it or whatever, maybe 16-bit,
but you know what I mean in terms of like, hey, we're out there doing this kind of thing
with it. I said, you know what? I'll keep my eye on that one. Give him that's a little shout-out.
Infinity Hexa-Dome tactics on PC closes out September 10th. September 11th sees NHL-27,
come to Xbox and PlayStation 5. September 12th sees BlizzCon kickoff. I don't care what it takes.
Me and Mike are going. Count on it.
September 14th
Truccoon is supporting me
from another world
comes to switch to
of course that has already
come out on a number of other platforms
I played a night of it
and enjoyed myself quite a bit
with it didn't hook me
and I gotta see this through
but I enjoyed the idea
of mauling people
to then power up the lady
in the other world
that she battled demons and stuff
that was fun
nice
and then speaking of battling demons
let me tell you about
these bill collectors
me and Tim have to battle
all the time
we couldn't do without your support
with a kind of funny
membership. Of course, you toss us a few bucks on patreon.com slash kondifunny, YouTube.com slash
kind of funny games, Apple or Spotify, and we give you everything we do ad-free, an exclusive

a word from our sponsors. The wait is over. Aliens Fire Team Elite 2 is out now, and it's every bit
as brutal as you hoped. Grab three friends, gear up as Colonial Marines, and
drop into the most hostile corners of the aliens universe.
There's no rescue, no backup, no way out.
Zinomorphs hunt and packs, strike from the dark and swarm faster than you can reload.
This sequel hits harder with deeper squad mechanics, more enemies, and a fully customizable
specialist class built exactly how you want to fight.
And when the campaign's done chewing you up, the new and improved horde mode throws wave
after wave at you until something breaks, you or them.
If you've ever wanted to feel what it's like to hold you.
the line against an overwhelming xenomorph swarm, this is it.
Aliens Fire Team Elite 2 is the definitive co-op aliens experience.

Games, the acclaimed studio behind Marvel's Spider-Man series. Creating collaboration with Marvel
games, it delivers an all-new original story based on the legendary comic book character. Of course,
a PlayStation 5 exclusive in one were all jazzed for? I mean,
It's an Somniac, dude.
Like, I just, I love Insomnia games so much.
They just, they tickle everything I'm looking for from video games.
Yeah.
And I've said this so many times, but I've platinum to every, every insomniac game of this era.
And I don't think that's going to change with this one.
Like, you know, I, well, like we've been saying, it's just like the, the preview that you did left you a little bit.
Welled.
I use the word whelmed.
It lived up to my expectations, which were I want a great Wolverine game.
And I played it and I was like this feels like a great Wolverine game, but I wasn't floored nor was I disappointed.
It was just like, cool.
All right.
I'm playing the Wolverine game.
We've all thought in our head we'd be playing.
And I'm very excited for that because I love great Wolverine games.
Like that sounds like a blast and I love insomnia.
So I'm sure that they're going to add a lot to that's going to make me love it.
At the end of the day, I'm a Spider-Man guy.
So I wish this was a Spider-Man game.
Wow.
But that's just, you know, personal preference.
Personal preference, man.
Personal preference, man.
Bless, where are you at?
You're talking about maybe even dumping this?
Yeah, I don't know.
It's a soul-searching moment for me, I think.
Yeah.
Because I'm, I am somebody who also likes Ensonomiatic games.
I think they make great games.
I think the action's fun or whatever.
But I've ever since, like, Spir-Man 1, or post-Spire 2, I've not had an experience with
an insomnia game where I'm like, damn, I'm like, that was, that made my entire gaming life.
You know what I mean?
Like, I'm not.
Ensonnet is a developer who I'm like, I show up because I know I'm going to have a good time
the next thing or whatever.
But when I'm looking at some of these other games
coming out in September,
you know, I hear you talk about Blood Walker,
Don of the Blood Walker all the time.
And I'm like, if that comes out
and is getting nines and tens or something.
Can I tell you just for the record,
crazy it sounds?
Even that wasn't the title.
No.
The blood of Don Walker.
Blood of Don Walker.
The blood.
The blood of Don Walker.
I'm never going to get it right.
I know.
Dude, trust me.
Trust me.
But like, On Amusha could come out
and be something different and special.
You know what I mean?
And so, like, I think the sole searching that I'm currently doing is, do I want to play another insomnia game that I know I'm going to like?
Yeah, probably fine.
Probably give it an eight out of ten, like, all that stuff that I always do.
Or do I want to play something that's going to be, like, different and special and weird or whatever?
And I think when at the end of the day, I'll probably end up playing through Wolverine.
But I don't, yeah, I'm at a weird place with it where I'm like, I know it's probably going to be good, but do I want just that?
You know, it's probably going to be great as even, right?
Yeah.
Right? Like, just by the words you're using, like, an eight is great.
You expect it to be great, but is that enough with where we're at right now?
That's a very valid question.
Yeah.
But yeah, I obviously just can't wait.
Like a great marble Wolverine game.
Like, that's so awesome.
Yeah, we won't have to wait long.
I don't like Leach, but obviously coming out on the 15th, but as it is known, copies have gone out.
Review copies have gone out.
We will have a games cast review on September 10th for you.
I can tell you from the bottom of my heart, I haven't started yet.
I'm still on a different redacted.
I know y'all are working on redacted as well.
so we are still very much in the dark.
My hope personally is that,
again, with a whelmed, that was great.
I feel like I know what I'm getting.
I hope that has set the bar for Insomniac
to be able to exceed it of like,
you didn't see this coming.
Even the stuff we showed you,
we wanted you to feel like you knew what was coming,
but here we go.
Here's where we take you on a left turn.
You don't see you go.
But even if it wasn't,
it's cool to slash people up and have claws
and build out a cool little skill tree.
September 15th, though,
is not just Wolverine.
RuneScape Dragon Wilds also comes to PlayStation Xbox Switch and more.
On RuneScape's forgotten continent of Ashenfall, dragons have awoken, gather, build, skill, and craft to survive in this cooperative one to four.
Survival crafting game only by mastering survival and uncovering ancient secrets can they hope to slay the dragon queen alone or with allies.
Yeah, this is one that I highlighted.
I grew up being very into Runecape as a kid in elementary school, playing that in the computer lab.
alongside my classmates.
And I've never really been that big
of a survival crafting person whatsoever.
And I think part of that is that I've not
identified a world that I want to just live in
and create a house in and do all that.
And every single time I've seen a trailer for this game,
I think the art style looks incredible.
I love looking at this video game.
I like the fact that it's a ruinscape thing, right?
So I can kind of go,
I kind of have that nostalgia factor there.
And every single time we see it pop up at a showcase,
which was like 15 times during Summer Game Fest.
I looked at Mike and went,
Yo, I want to play this.
Like, can we put this on stream?
Like, how do I get into this game?
Because...
Put in the slack right now.
Let him know.
It looks really neat to me.
I really want to try this out.
All right.
You don't have to wait long either.
September 15th.
It'll be crazy if you pick that over Wolverine.
I mean, would it be?
Hey, man.
We all have to play different things.
Like today, when you were mad at me for asking you to play redacted instead of redacted,
don't get mad at me about that.
I'm just too late.
You know?
I've got to be playing redacted.
I'm just playing redacted.
September 15th also sees,
destroy all humans to.
reprobed come to switch two
TCG cards shop simulator
come to switch PlayStation and I assume Xbox
uh fright train PC
sublight PC throttle
trace PC and the Diablo
four's season 15
kicks off I'm hoping I'll be
ready to going into it I've enjoyed so much
returning to Diablo uh this past
season September 16th
then sees I'm gonna say it wrong animo
is how you we say it Xbox
huh
Enema?
yeah asshole
Xbox, PC, and PlayStation.
As a pathfinder, you'll begin your journey
in ideal, a dynamic, interactive, and expansive
open world. There you can collect, evolve,
entwine with magical creatures called Enimo.

This is one we saw yesterday.
Yeah, and it was, I think there was enough scuttle butt there about another Pokemon like.
You think John Pokemon is seeing this and is this fuming?
Just like, oh, I'm going to sue.
Yeah, he's got to be out there.
I mean, there was a straight up Corsola we just saw like this is just, this is wild, man.
They're like, they ain't suing.
We can go.
I'm surprised.
I'm surprised it took so long for everybody to be like, what if we just made, like, Power World broke the dam.
And now everybody's like, oh, oh shit, we can do that.
We can just do that.
All right.
I hope it's good.
I like Rochokok kingdom a lot, so.
Yeah, you can't be,
you can't be throwing stones from your glass house.
What's your problem?
What's your problem?
What's your problem?
I mean, yeah, it looks like Mew and his armor,
but we ain't talking about it.
So do you don't feel this way about Digimon?
Digimon don't look like Pokemon.
I don't know, man.
You know, show me a Digimon that looks like a-
one dinosaur guy looks like a Mecca Charz artist.
A mecca.
You're talking about my fucking guy,
metal graemeon, more graemond?
Yeah, yeah.
No, he doesn't.
What?
Just no.
They're way more like realistic looking dinosaurs.
September 16th,
they also sees Roman Sands rebuild,
PlayStation PC and more,
2 point hospital,
full health collection.
I show you this guy.
Like he kind of has a Charzard vibe.
He does kind of.
Yeah,
that is the most kind of,
kind of.
Kind of.
Yeah, yeah, that is the most kind of sure.
But look at Andgemon.
I mean, that looks like an angels
come to kill me.
Yeah, that does not look like a Pokemon.
That was like a person.
Kevin, show them on your woman.
Mono Wave comes to PC and Switch.
Epic, Disney, Epic, Mickey,
Rebrush comes to iOS.
an Android, gladio Mori, comes to PC Xbox Series X in PlayStation 5 to close out September 16th.
Look at Andre Woman.
That's the final boss of a JRPG.
You know what she evolves from?
A cat.
Hell yeah.
Just a cat.
Pokemon I should steal from Digimon.
Give them guns.
September 17th sees Fire Emblem Fortunes Weave comes to switch to.
Travel through time to gather allies and defeat the demon god baller.
Test your tactical prowess in battle as you.
guide four heroes on their interwoven journeys from past to present.
Together, you'll save the future from ruin or fall trying.
I don't know.
I just realized that because of Nintendo, I'm probably not going to play this game until
launch.
And we're going to run into Witcher 3 while I have this game.
Uh-oh, less problems.
They're happening.
Fuck.
He wasn't scared.
He's scared now.
Now I'm scared.
You should get scared.
This is worth being scared over the sheer time.
Yeah.
I love it, though, man.
I love the commitment to hopping into Fire Emble.
That's rad.
It looks really good.
And I'm coming off
the Xenoblate high.
Like, I know
Nintendo has the stuff.
I'm like,
oh, I like open a,
pick up a rock.
I'm like,
oh, Nintendo has all this stuff
going on in here.
Nerd weep shit.
And it's good?
Oh, man.
Mike just previewed for this,
did a games cat.
Glowing.
Yeah,
honestly,
I used that word
multiple times during the
games cast,
but I've never seen Mike
glow that much about a video game.
Like,
he was infatuated with this one.
We'll see if it sticks.
You know,
you never.
trust that kid, you know if he's gonna come back.
You're right, but I think it's gonna.
You think there's a chance the fire emblem is in our top 10, top five even?
I think sure numbers probably not.
Because I don't know.
Because you're gonna play it, I assume.
No, not.
Oh, really?
No, it's just too big.
I just gotta be real about my time.
I don't want to start a firearm and not finish it.
I don't want to.
What's gonna stop you?
All the other games that I'm like, oh, I, it's one of the things where it's like, cool,
Wolverine being eight.
I, Tim Geddies and beating Wolverine.
Sure.
that's like what 10 hours
well i'm in a platinum wolverine
15 hours too
no fuck you what spider man two to platinum was like
32 that's like that's an open world video game
they had a i saw a headline the other day that was
there's as many missions in wolverine as there are spider man
what does that mean i don't know
what is that mean
i'll tell you straight up i don't fucking know i'm very
very interested to see how long wolverine is
the thing is for me fireman like like i don't even
need to start a conversation of like
I'm not trying to hurt anyone's feelings.
I'm happy that this game's going the direction it is
because this is making the franchise even bigger
and way more exciting to way more people.
I was very turned off by the Three Houses stuff
of how much it dived into the
running around and social stuff and whatever.
I like old school Fire emblem where it's like
the social systems are in between missions,
a couple dialogue things that you do.
I loved that stuff.
This is just diving into a side of gaming
that I'm just like, it's not appealing to me.
So that's cool, but I know that people love that stuff.
I've never tried a fire emblem.
I'm going to try this one.
It's in the same boat of,
you put it for me personally and who I am,
you put this next to The Witcher.
I'm going to want to go play The Witcher.
You know what I mean?
Do that.
I like that version of a game more than a tactical,
social sim, yada, yada, yada.
But I want to give it a shot.
Byron ball of radiance is on NSO now.
And like, there's a higher chance that I play that.
Wow.
What are your odds of playing Trails in the Sky?
Second Chapter, PlayStation 5, Switch, PC, I assume, Xbox.
Turn the page on the explosive second chapter in Nihon Falcom's legendary trail saga.
Estelle Bright sets out on a new journey across a liberal to uncover the truth behind Joshua's disappearance and defeat the sinister Oral Boros organization.
Dude, I'm reading and I'm like, nail it.
There's still more weird ass war.
How many weird else are there in this?
Nihon Falcons
Estelle Bright
Liberal
but smelled weird
They were just dropping
Joshua in there
Or a board
Damn
They were like
We don't give a shit
On this steam description
If you didn't play
Chapter 1
Fuck you
We're not gonna tell you
Anything about this game
Just read it all
I like this guy's hair
I didn't highlight
This somebody else
Would you want to you
I didn't highlight it
Did you highlight it?
No
Who highlighted it?
Maybe I did thinking
Mike was on
I know movies.
Oh yeah, Mike goes into trails in the sky.
Another Eden begins switch to switch and PC embark on a time traveling RPG adventure
featuring command battles presented by Masato Cato,
creator of numerous RPG classics with New Game Plus.
Embark on a new adventure with your upgraded characters and discover more than 10 different endings.
I did this one.
And again, to the conversation of what are you more likely to play?
This is one of those time traveling RPG turn-based.
like that's already
oh what are we doing it's not the
one that we always talk about
I always show you guys the indie one
threads of time
but this one looks cool
if Kevin get the trailer up
for another Eden begins like
I was like oh shit
okay we got a bunch of frogs
I like a frog
you know what I mean
like let's run around
and kick the shit out of some people
and be a frog
and do the thing
this is just frogs
yeah this is very
in a time RPG
is the right trailer
well no I don't
I mean it's a trailer
I don't know
it's the trailer
yeah
hold on Tim
Talk about time travel.
Oh my God.
Yeah.
This is my favorite character
in Chrono Trigger.
This for sure.
Yeah.
Chrono like.
Yeah.
God, I hung out with my friend
Curran a couple weeks ago.
And he's like, dude,
you know what I played this weekend
for the first time?
Chrono Trigger.
Like, what the fuck?
And he just beat it.
And he loved it.
And he's like, dude,
what are my all-time faves now?
I'm like, hell yeah, man.
Nice.
Have I tossed one into assets?
That's the switch to a English version.
One day I'll play through
Chrone Trigger.
That's one of those ones
that I start up all the time
and just don't get that.
You just got to get past the festival.
Yeah.
That's the very beginning of the game.
I've gotten past that.
Yeah, it was like,
just never hooked me.
I've gotten past it too.
But here you go, look, see,
we're on the overworld.
We're doing the thing.
Run around.
Sure, sure, sure.
Not going to lie.
This kind of turned me off.
Yeah.
Well, watch the battle.
I mean, it's it, you know,
it's just straight up for all.
It does give like some vanilla wear.
Exactly, right?
And I do like the one vanilla wear game that I played.
I can't do it with this animation, man.
Like the, go back like three.
Wait, is this being,
who's making this?
Seconds?
Like the tree in the bottom left, it just looks so cheap to me.
Turns you up.
I understand that.
This is being made by Wright Flyer Studios.
Okay.
Because it looks so much like Vanillaware.
With all due respect, I don't think it nearly looks as good as a vanilla wear game.
But it doesn't look as good.
But like a lot of the styles, at least maybe they're inspired out.
Timor can only play AAA games.
I'm not.
I say, hey, this is a little indie one.
I want to give it a shot.
Pardon me.
I think about all the JRPes you have played.
I'm like, oh, yeah, I could see you actually playing this.
No.
Surprising us.
We also see on September 17th,
the Kiba lost, PlayStation, Switch, PC, and more.
The Guild, Europa, 1410, PC, early access.
Endless Legend 2, PC, Xbox, PlayStation.
Sniper Dan, PlayStation PC, Xbox.
Colonel Hart comes to switch to.
Maestro comes to switch to and switch.
Pat Labr, the case files, comes to PlayStation 5 and PC.
Artist Impact comes to switch.
Dave the Diver, heads over to Android and iOS.
Mr. Sleepy Man gets to switch and switch
to or a va-s switch to Xbox PlayStation as well.
Snipper Dan is kind of crazy.
Yeah, Snobber Dan is definitely a slop game.
I'm not sure if it's a friend slot, but it's one of those.
You look at it.
You're like, oh, yeah.
It has a really cute art style where you're playing as a sniper.
But he did you shoot paint balls?
Like that guy died.
Yeah, he's shooting bowling pins.
It kind of has an untitled goose game sort of like the cow.
Vive to it.
September 18th sees Lego Batman legacy that our night come to switch to
Moomin' troll, winter's warmth, come to PlayStation 5 and switches.
The Grinch 2, saving Christmas. That's right, the Grinch 2, saving Christmas.
PlayStation Switch, Xbox, and more.
The Walking Dead Streets of Survivals, Switch to PlayStation 5, PC, and more.
NASCAR 26 on Xbox, PlayStation and PC.
Sunk in Realms on PC.
September 21st, Pose birthday.
Dressmaker comes to PC.
September 22nd, Dune Awakening arrives on consoles for Xbox and PlayStation.
Then, Rivage, is what I'm going to say.
Rivage.
PC,
PlayStation 5,
Xbox Series X.
Ravage is an
immense
no,
immersive,
sci-fi puzzle
adventure set aboard
the ARI's
space station
trapped in space
phenomenon.
Wake up as Miranda
forced to explore
solve intricate puzzles
to unravel
the fate of your
missing crew.
Another one I tossed on here
saying,
you know what?
Strike me like a
blessed game.
It seems like we might be
a puzzle poppy,
man.
What?
Are you not puzzle poppy
anymore?
No,
an immersive sci-fi puzzle
adventure.
Set aboard, R.A. Space, the Ares Space Station, thank you.
Trapped in a space thing.
Like, it might be too puzzly for me, but I kind of, it smacks a little bit like,
what was the Fulbright game where I was on the space station trying to figure shit out?
Not Virginia.
I know what you're talking about.
Tacoma.
The coma.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Did you just know that?
Yeah, man, fuck with puzzle games.
Hell yeah.
Good for you.
See, it's like, it looks like what's going on.
You wake up.
trying to figure it out you got a whole thing to run around i like it i like it i don't know i'm
gonna try it i don't know if i'll be too dumb to play it but you're mr puzzle poppy i'm not seeing
like the it looks almost oh here's the puzzles here okay here are the puzzles yeah i was gonna say
because it was giving more walking soon for a lot of the trailer which i could be down for a walking
sim i'm like them but i'm not completely sold what i am kind of sold on those sniper damn
i let the trailer run and like the more i watch this trailer the more it the more reminds me of like a
Like a game like, thank goodness you're here, like where you're just doing goofy shit.
Okay.
Meet Dan.
Dan has a sniper rifle.
Don't panic.
He's not here to harm anyone.
Dan's a professional and his job is fixing things from a distance with pinpoint accuracy and good intentions.
Sniper Dan is a hidden unlike any other.
Objects aren't always well hidden and the solution involves, wait.
Yeah, okay.
Objects aren't always well hidden and the solutions involve shooting them.
Each job follows a simple and highly respected method.
So you're just shooting things to fix them for people.
Rated everyone tan and up.
And it's rated everyone 10 and up.
We're gonna see some sniper Dan here in a second.
I have a feeling.
Yeah.
And like the art style,
Tim kind of described to the sloppy,
which I understand because it kind of does remind me of like a peak sort of thing,
but it also reminds you of an N64 game.
Like it kind of is like an in between.
Like if a person used the N64 art style to make a slop game.
There's a free demo out right now if you wanted to go play.
I don't know, man.
I kind of focus on the N64.
Yeah.
Yeah, that's a good call out.
Damn, I do want to look at it now.
You know what I mean?
Oh, you get to decorate your little office?
Yeah, you get a little office thing.
I love that you just have a sniper.
Dan and Co.
You get to customize him.
But then get into like the actual gameplay here.
And it's like, yeah, you zoom in and just you mess with people and you get points for it.
And then sometimes you fix things, it looks like.
Light the oven.
I'll check it out.
I'm wish listing and I'm doing it.
I'm talking.
Yeah, I'm going to wishlisting.
Wishlisted. There you go.
September 22nd also sees Well Dweller come to PC, Switch, Xbox, and more.
Well, Dweller is a dark, fairy tale, Metroidvania, full of charming characters living in a wretched kingdom.
Play as Glimmer, a tiny bird armed with a matchstick who must burn the wicked queen to save his family.
This looks cool as hell.
Yeah.
This one I saw, I thought of y'all.
I thought of the Andy.
I thought of the hollow nights.
You know what I mean?
Yeah, this looks cool.
That kind of vibe going on.
Get something going on there,
smashing around.
Good art style, good art.
Yeah.
Something to keep your eye on if you're that kind of game.
Yeah.
I'm going to keep eye on this one.
Okay, that's huge.
September 22nd also has
Cupid Parasite on PC.
Demio, cross dungeons and dragons.
Battlemarked comes to Xbox Series X.
Finally, a game I played over my
break I enjoyed.
And then Ebby Tapes comes to PC.
We jump to September 23rd.
Animo now comes.
to Android and iOS.
Win Runners comes to PC,
and then stick it to the stick man
comes to PC.
Stick it to the stick man
is a physics-based brawler
where you fight heaps of red stick man
to become the boss.
Choose from hundreds of unique moves
to construct the perfect combat machine
and fight your way to the top
of the corporate ladder.
This looks fun as hell.
I highlighted this one, yeah,
just for the fun factor of this game,
I believe, I don't think it says here,
but I think this might be a devolver joint
if I remember correctly.
Because I remember playing a demo for it
the longest time ago.
I'm at the trailer.
I don't see Devolvers saying that.
Hold on.
I'm a stick.
Free lives is what the thing is uploaded to.
The publisher is Devolver Digital.
You are correct.
Thank you.
Thank you.
I was like, I could have sworn.
Three lives is a developer.
I love it.
Maybe you guys out there can help me here.
A couple months ago, Kevin and I were texting,
because I was trying to explain to him the stick man stuff.
And he had no recollection of what I was talking about.
And I was just like, dude, like, it was so important.
Like on YouTube, right?
YouTube videos.
Somewhere around there, some internet stuff.
Yeah.
But like,
back in my day, I remember being
a lot more just like black and white
sticks and like very
like just white backgrounds and like
this like you know, anime
incredibly choreographed. I can't
find the video I'm thinking
of in my head. Was it on E-Bomb's
world thing things or something like that?
I don't know but I do Kevin. I spent
maybe like an hour and a half trying to find it
afterwards and I found a bunch of things that are like it
but I couldn't find the one.
I know exactly what you're talking about.
Why is it not popping up?
That's interesting.
Yeah, I typed in Stickman fight and I can't find that.
Are we in a different universe?
I mean, you fucking invented a sequel to some game and movie and we never heard of.
So you might have jumped.
You might have jumped.
Man, I hope I didn't jump.
That shit was so sick.
Well, before you jump from this universe, I hope you're here on September 24th.
When Control Resonant comes to PC, Xbox, and PlayStation, explore a warp Manhattan on the brink of perinatural.
Yeah, perinational annihilation in this thrilling action adventure RPG.
unleashed the extraordinary powers of Dylan Faden
as he fights for his humanity
and our survival against a reality bending cosmic threat.
What's this for you?
I am disheartened to say not high.
I love control.
I love Alan Wake.
I love remedy.
But every time I see this,
I have to tell myself that.
You know what I mean?
Whereas something about the inception,
but more I guess the melee combat of it all,
There's a stick man.
There's a stick man.
The melee combat of it all, like, just doesn't.
It's not that it doesn't speak to me.
There's plenty of games I love smashing with a sword and do it.
But like the big hammers and the big, I don't know.
Like, I loved control as control.
And I love being Jesse and I loved floating and I loved shooting.
And I don't know what it is about this that I see it.
And I go, oh, man, I hope I play it and I get it.
That's really what it is.
I hope I play.
And I bet jumping in and getting the narrative will hook me
and give me that X-File, sci-fi, remedy versus shit I love.
But looking at it, I'm not like Andy is over the moon crazed for it.
Bless, are you into this?
Yeah, I would say this is either my one or two most game, not a most hype for in September.
It's between this and weirdly enough, Witcher 3 rematch.
Hell yeah.
Like, I'm really excited for that to come out.
But yeah, no, this is up there.
And it's funny, I'm somebody, I really, really dug control one.
I don't wait, too.
I was talking to my friend Zachary the other day, who Zachary, he plays video games.
but he's not like as deep in the dust as we are.
And he like, he played Resident Evil Requiem this year.
And it's like, it's his game of the year.
And then he started playing other Resident Evil games
because I think Requiem might have been his first.
And he's like, been super into Resident Evil.
Told me, he was like, dude, I started playing Allende 2.
And I was like, oh, what do you think?
Because I know people love that game.
And he's like, not really digging it.
And I looked at him and I was like, dude, I liked it.
But also, I didn't like it as much as everybody else liked it.
Like, there's something about Alamway 2 that did not resonate with me
on that scale that a control did.
Um, so I think, I think maybe it's just the fact that control is my, has become my remedy thing.
Okay.
Um, and like, I think part of that is I like, I like exploring that world.
I like the FBC and picking up the notes and like all the weird shit that I know isn't
going to be here in the same degree because it's a different setting.
But I just like what I like the control gameplay and the control world and how it exists in the
remedy verse.
Um, Resonant, I think really works for me as far as like still having that hype because I like
melee combat. I look at the gameplay. I look at the combat. I look at the shifting
gravity shit and I'm like that looks cool. Like that looks like a fun thing to
interact with and so it's doing a lot for me. But I also understand like I understand
anybody else who's like this might not appeal as much to them even though they like
Control 1 because this just looks so different. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I'm going to have to
get on sticks for it. I will. It is still a destination. Like I want to try it because I love
remedy so much. But one of the problems
I have is that September 24th also
sees Silent Hill Townfall,
PlayStation PC, Xbox.
Returning to an island town to put
things right, Simon Ordel descends into
a world of tense evasion,
explosive confrontations,
and mind-bending puzzles that slowly
surfaced the truth of St. Amelia.
I did a behind-closed-doors
demo for this one at SGF. Obviously
we've all seen so much of it. Just
really digging the vibes.
You know, like, Silent Hill 2,
as many times as I tried
never clicks for me. Even the remake.
I fell off after an hour or so.
This one, something about the world,
using the television,
really doing the survival horrory
part of it,
I don't know. It speaks to me what I've seen,
and I'm more excited for this than I am control resident,
which is a weird one for me.
If you would have told me,
they're making the other silent healer
and they're making another control game,
what are you going to be?
I'm like, oh, clearly control.
But right now, this is what I'm looking forward to
and I'll have to see.
Bless you, are you into this one?
Uh, lightly into it.
Okay.
It's the busyness of September.
But if I find time, I would like to play it.
Yeah.
Um, the same way.
Uh, September 24th continuing has Dragon Quest 11.
Echoes of an elusive age come to Switch 2.
I picked this up on Switch 1 after I did 7 and then I went back and played the other one.
And then I went over to Elusive Age.
Really loved this one.
Didn't finish it by any stress of imagination, but really enjoyed what I played of it.
I wish obviously I'd waited and had a Switch 2 version.
this, the elusive, this version of it.
Because I guess I did play it on Steam, so I had the thing, but whatever.
This is a game I've always wanted to play.
Oh, really?
Yeah, it's good.
We've never gotten around.
Recommended.
But at this point, too, now you're like, well, when's the next full mainline dragon
West?
But I've heard such good things about this one.
It's great.
At the beginning of the year, I put up a post that was like, that was a trilogy of different
GRP's that I was maybe going to check out, right?
It was like, I think it was Final Fantasy 10.
Might have been Xenoblade Chronicles and, uh, and Dragon Quest, Echoes of Elusive Age.
and I think Final Fans 10
got the most votes
but tried that one first
and obviously got a Zio Blade later
but one day I want to play this
we'll see if you got to finish 10 first
I do got to get back to 10 I was enjoying it
I just fell off real hard
then sin reloaded comes to PlayStation

You know what I mean?
You could have told me this is DLC for Bubsy 40.
I would have completely believed you.
It looks better.
It looks better.
It looks just like it.
It looks worse.
It looks better.
Tim just can't respect Garfield for some reason.
It's embarrassing if you ask me.
Nocturn comes to PC.
The afterlife is now digital.
Discover that eternal life comes with sacrifice in a genre-defying RPG with unique
rhythm combat.
Oh. I don't know if it's
who it's for, but it spoke to me
when I looked at it and I said it's got the
note highway like Tim likes.
Here you go, everybody. This is Nocturn.
Oh, Beat Mania there.
Whoa.
It's one that's interesting.
I will be watching. I've already wishlisted.

Yeah. A lot like Remethy, huh?
That was a fish man.

But you know what I mean? Yeah. I'm so, I'm so hype.
Chat of the City Project Redd, we talked a lot about it during our gamescom
reaction, but all of the
quality of life stuff that they tend to put in these games and
especially now that we're here so far after Witcher 3.
When I brought up like, man, would this work on my Steam deck?
And I think it was either Andy or you that was like,
I was like not only this is going to work on your Steam deck,
but like, there's cross save.
You know what I mean?
Like you can play on your console and then play on PC and then play on this.
And I'm like, yeah, that's what I'm talking about right there.
Like that's how I want to do this.
A lot of the stuff that they highlight here in the trailer that they had for it
are things that I remember were sticking points for me
when I tried out Witcher 3 for the first time, right?
Like things like the skill tree, which I thought,
I thought upgrading in that game was kind of,
was not even kind of weird.
I thought it was really weird.
It really didn't work for me at the time.
Combat, which I know they fixed in real time back in 2015 when the game launched in other things.
Like, I like seeing how much of it they're still continuing to improve on.
Yeah.
And then, yeah, like even the expansions as we're seeing in the trailer right now,
like that coming out free as well for players.
I've heard so much about, what was it?
Blood and Wine?
Yeah.
Yeah, I've heard so much about blood and wine.
I've even heard about hearts of stones.
So, like, good for good on them for treating this in the best way they possibly could.
Hopefully when it comes out, everything works in the way that we want it to.
I bet it will, man.
I'm excited.
I'm excited to go back and get deep, deep, deep in there.
Then you also see on September 9th, Navalis nights on PC.
Grow your business, manage restaurants and nightclubs, make friends and enemies, buy and decorate apartments, go fishing, and maybe even find love in a cyberpunk city that stretches from the ocean to the clouds.
Oh, I forgot I highlighted this.
I was like, I don't know anything about this one.
Blessing.
I forgot why.
I think I highlighted it just because it looked really cool.
You know,
we've been seeing a lot of like,
like replaced.
What was the old game that never came out?
The night before,
the day after.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Something happens tomorrow.
Whatever it is.
Like that kind of style of fix art that's so cool
but then adding the tilt shift and,
you know,
the more HD2D look,
but in a different style.
This kind of being in a 3D game
while trying to do
do that with 3D elements is interesting.
Yeah.
I haven't seen something like this before.
And I remember now because it's in a genre that not typically for me when you talk about
these management Sims, but I do like taking back the night.
I do like the idea of hanging out at nightclub and managing it.
And it happening in a cyberpunk world all really does appeal to me.
So I want to see if I can find time for this one.
Maybe I'll do it in a stream or something.
Okay.
Minecraft Dungeons 2 is also out on September 29th on everything.
drop the pickax, grab a sword in charge into a new adventure in Minecraft Dungeons too.
Again, Xbox having no idea how to use this pre-order today.
That's not what anybody wants in your Steam description.
Me and Joey adored Minecraft Dungeons 1, platinum did.
Very excited for Minecraft Dungeons 2.
Played it, of course, at SGF.
I'm excited to just get in there, have a different ARPG like I'm always talking about.
It doesn't always need to look like Gothic Horror Diablo for me to enjoy it.
I like the vibes here.
When I played at SGF,
they have a lot of quality of life improvements.
One of the thing I'm very excited for
is sitting down at the PlayStation on the big screen
and having myself, Jen, and Ben play.
Because I think this is going to be up his alley.
He loves Minecraft and he doesn't even know what Minecraft really is.
And I think this is going to be so simple to go smash, smash, smash,
put on the better armor and go.
I'm looking forward to seeing if it vibes with him.
And not to mention that me and him play games a lot together,
but it's rare that we, in him and my own play.
games and he plays solo a lot, but it's rare for us all the play game. I don't know if that's ever
happens. That's huge. Pretty excited to see if that clicks for him. Also on September 29th,
Toom 2 comes to Switch Xbox, PC, PlayStation, you name it. Step back into the shoes of a curious
photographer and set off on a brand new adventure all about uncovering hidden details,
helping friends along the way and documenting the world's little wonders in Toom 2, the sequel to
the acclaimed Toem. You should all know, I adore Toem 1. Of course, my dog Portillo is
in Toem 1.
Toem 1, of course,
now we're getting away in the weeds,
but you need all this disclosures,
was helped along the way by Papagenda,
my wife's company,
which is a publisher for hire and PR and yada,
yada, yada, but more importantly about Toom 2,
because I love my wife and how proud of her I am,
they're actually publishing Toem 2.
So rather than it be something
where they're helping with PR
and doing this thing,
they're actually publishing.
Take it with a great assault,
but I adore Tome 1.
I'm very excited for Toom 2.
That is a must play whenever we get codes for that.
September 29th also sees
Way of the Hunter come out on,
or Way of Hunter 2, I'm sorry,
come out to Xbox and PlayStation.
And then September 30th sees
Songs of Glimberwick come to PC.
Kong, Survival Instinct, come to Switch.
And Viractical.
Will you trust your party?
Both switches.
And that is every game in September
2026.
Very chill, very easy September.
Not too much going on.
And then getting into a nice, easy October, right?
I might dig into my backlog.
Yeah.
Never been a better time.
