You know, like the slightly extended version. Now let's jump back to talk about Michelle Branch. Because Michelle Branch, of course, everywhere back. She's got, she's going on tour.

Yeah. I really had to confirm Greg's guesses and he was right. Thank you. Shout to Stacey O'Riko. We're doing our Gamescom 26 predictions. each one of us has brought three predictions to the table for this gamescom. What will be there at opening night live? What will Jeff Keely have to show at the first ever sold out gamescom?

Big deal. Big com. First one? First one ever sell out. That's what I heard. I would have just assumed they all sell out. I don't know. I would have too.

Apparently not because there's a lot of people there, Andy. We know that. But not only are they sold out, there's more publishers and developers and kiosks and stages and things happen. The return. We're coming back. This seems like there's a lot going on. How many stands are university people trying to get you to learn AI? Oh, man.

Like, there's got to be like recruiters. Have you walked into GDC? Like gone to the actual? No. Because let me tell you, they're there. It's 80% like that. They're there. Yeah.

I saw you AI. Yeah. Andy, how many E3s did you do? One. One. Okay. Which one was it? Was it 2019?

2018, I believe. The cyberpunk one. Yeah, okay. Oh, that's right. That's right. Yeah. Because, like, those type of things, they're on the outskirts.

E3 did it right. You know what I mean? Greg, like, you go in and it was like, you see all the big ones and they hide all that bullshit. You don't even, you don't have to dredge through it.

It was, yeah. GDC, it's all that it is. Yeah, GDC walk in and I was like, this is an AI convention? I was here for video games. Pretty damn much. It's always been that way. I remember my first GDC was like that.

GDC, 2007, I went there and there was a thing of scan your face and we put it in the game and this little cut down on everything and it didn't fucking cut. It did. It didn't. We're going to take our turns doing a little back and forth. Can we start at the top real quick so? Yeah, go for it.

Getting the predictions together for this made me so unhyped for the show. I'm like, oh, man. I know. I do feel like they've been getting better just slightly. I'm not saying like, oh, we should expect big giant things here. But I do think they've done a really good job of setting what the expectations are. And I think Jeff. across all of his shows, but specifically games come opening night live, has done a good job

being like, here's the games that are going to be here. And we got some major exciting ones, right? Like, we already know that Final Fantasy 7 revelations there. So it's like, we don't need to guess if it's there or not, you know? So it's like, cool, we're going to have fun stuff to watch. They also announced a bunch of other games and I'm like, all right. Sure. Sure. But like, it's a Metro 2039, you know? Yeah. It's what it's about. Exactly. How many of those are they going to be? All of them. But yeah, I mean, like, are any of you all feeling more excited for this Gamescom than normal, or is everyone kind of like, no, this one feels right? I'm with Greg.

I think I'm usually like, I'm just excited to watch a show that might be a, you know, a 7 out of 10 and I'll be happy with it because I like laughing and looking at cool video games and remembering about games that come out. Yeah, and being like, oh shit, we haven't seen this in two years or whatever the hell, you know? I think that's one of the things that's so maybe this gamescom lives

in the shadow of September 2026, where there are so many games on the horizon right now. There's so many amazing, holy, Wolverines gone gold, Dawn of the Blood Walker, fuck, blood of the Dawn Walker, you know what I mean? Like, there's so much imminent stuff that when you start scrolling through this reset-era threat of games that are confirmed, it's like, Cinder City, Dust Origins, Game of Thrones. All right, like, yeah, sure. And there's always the room for the surprises, but this is the conversation blessed

and I were having on games daily yesterday. I'm just like, I feel like in this, correct me if I'm wrong, this isn't a Jeff's show, right? He hosts this show. He owns and operates game awards in SGA. But I still think he produces this. I think O&L is like, yeah, his thing. Yeah.

It's not on the same level of things. It's definitely not. No. But I do. This is always the nuts and bolts. This is the blue collar show. These are the games that are actually getting things done. Let's talk about DLCs.

Let's talk about DLCs, I think, is a big thing. But also there's the reality that this is the only of the shows that have the immediate, like, playable demo from the public, right? These are like the local and midterm elections. This show matters. These announcements matters, just like the mid-term local audience, but they're just not the ones that get you out to the polling.

Yeah. But having said all that, I do think that this year is kind of more unique just because there are so many games that have either come out that we're expecting DLC for or that the year is so filled out with like, this is one of the last major chances. You have so many eyes on this

and maybe even playable hands on this to talk about some of the fall games that I feel like, There is a chance here that we get some pretty exciting news updates just because it's not really a better spot for them to fit before the end of the year. And there's the questions we have about a whole bunch of things that we're assuming are this year. Maybe they aren't, but I'm just excited to get into all of it. I feel like compared to other shows, compared to Game Awards specifically and Summer Game Fest, I feel like opening that live in a weird way is the video game show for like video game nerds. Like if you're a little bit more nerdy about like, oh no, I want the deeper cut updates.

Because when we talk about the big companies, they're usually there. You can usually expect something from PlayStation there, right? Like last year we got a Ghost of Yote trailer where they teased Ghost of Yote Legends. I believe years before that, we've gotten updates on like controllers and shit like that. And I think usually if you look at the different bigger companies, they have something, even though it's like we're talking about. So updates and stuff like that. But like for me, I think because we're well calibrated and know what level to expect from this,

I am kind of excited to just like sit back, relax, and just get more information. Maybe get some pizza, you know? Yeah. PlayStation's not there this year. I put in quotes in the way that Nintendo and Xbox are. PlayStation's officially said they are not at Gamescom. That doesn't mean they're not part of one of my predictions. That doesn't mean they're not part of Keeley's show, you know.

Oh, sure, sure. But they are not, they do not have a presence at Gamescom itself, whereas Xbox and Nintendo both do. Isn't that weird though? Has Wolverine had playable? No. It's just the preview. Just the preview for press, yeah. But I went to.

And they don't have it there? It's kind of weird, right? Yeah. Just again, because of the sheer size of Gamescom, but I also think that they know Wolverine. I mean, that's right. They already had the audience, I think. I'm not, I don't think they're going to convince many more people to be like, well, now's the time. I wasn't interested, but now I am.

I want to start with Andy Cortez. Let's give him the jump off. There's a, there's a rumored sequel to an. Xbox game. That is not what everybody thinks it's going to be. Viva Penaenaura returns. Oh, no. See, that's what's interesting.

Because, like, let's go through the reported rumors of this. An Xbox revival will happen at this gamescom opening night live. But it is not retro. That's what they were saying. Have you guys seen the game that they're saying? No. They're saying it's Rise, son of Rome, too. I'm not joking.

No way. We're going to get a new screenshot. Maybe I got punked. Maybe like somebody is tricking me on the internet, chat, correct me if I'm way off. But I could have sworn that people were like the Xbox fan base on Twitter are saying, yeah, Ryson of two. Rice son of Rumson. They're definitely getting morbious.

Hold on. Yeah, let me look this up. It's morbid time. They're definitely getting morbidst like over at Xbox if that's true because they're just looking at like the constant screenshots of being like, here's that game versus how Rise looked, which is just a meme. But they're getting morbidst and be like, bring it back to theaters. Yeah.

brought it back and nothing. Asha Sharma said a return to Xbox. And when you think of Xbox, you think arise in a room. This would disregard everything I'm saying. I can't find anything. But like I did see that they were saying that it wasn't retro. And that's, I think, more so talking about it, it's not banjo. Yeah.

Right. But at this point, Viva Pignata, to me, kind of screams more retro. I'm expecting something a little newer than that. I think that they look at the success that a lot of random, cozy, building type games can garner, whether it's even, you know, Power World is a different beast unto its own, right? There's the, the Pokemon aspect in collecting and all that shit.

But I think that they look at that market and see all of the hits that happen in the indie space and say, we can do this. We have an IP that people remember and know about that name. Let's bring that back. Let's get back into this cozy space. you're creating your little whatever the fuck farm are you making farms in that game?

Okay from Nick the hate Who so far Been kind of crushing it this year With the predictions And again some things might change Like the April first Star Fox End up being early May or whatever But like it was there

And it was real And Ocarina and all that Is it a season? sequel to something recent or is it an old IP being revived? And he says the former. So something recent is what they're talking about. And then it's not so much the game series that has my interest peaked. Though I love the series, but the developer involved.

I'm really curious to see how they approach this IP. So that's interesting. Curious to see how they approach the IP. Viva Penaata. Coalition. Viva Penaena. So I got Andy's prediction locked as Veeva. Penaena coming back. Does anyone else

want to make a prediction counter to that or just a discussion? Do you have any thoughts on what this might be? Uh, I'll throw out a killer instinct. I feel like that'd be a really fun one to bring back. I... Has it left? Killer instinct? A 100% yeah. Yeah? I mean, I feel like...

What was the last update for that, though? I feel like it hasn't been gone that long. It must have been years at this point. I never play... I mean, I never play killer instinct. I would have... This could be the pandemic effect, Tim. We're like... I mean, I know. I know the last update was two years ago. I know it's been gone for years. It was like seven or six years ago. Yeah, like I'm sure it must have been like six years or something.

Again, correct me if I'm wrong about that. But like, I think it's an IP that is generally liked. I know Killer Instinct has a fan base. Maybe it's not the biggest fan base in the world, but it's a passionate fan base. You know, we always say like there's never been a better time to bring back. I feel like that's not the case here. I genuinely hope it's not killer.

There's been better times to bring back Killer Instinct. That would be worst case scenario for me, not only from an excitement perspective, but like here's another fighting game that's going to go out there. It's not going to work. I mean, yeah, here in the shadow now of the death of 2XCO, right? I mean, and I know you can't play in that, but it's just like... And Invincible having layoffs and like, ugh, it just scares me.

I don't think that's the fighting game, like, fighting game industry's fault. I think these are just not great games. Like 2XCO, I just don't think hit like that. And Invincible versus, I think it's a weird thing, right, coming from a new studio. Even when I played Invincible versus, I was like, this seems cool. It seems fine. but if you're going to put out a fighting game, you got to put out a really good fighting game.

It's really what it comes down to you. But also what Tim mentioned with Nate the Hates saying, I'd be excited to see how this devil will tackle that. I'm like, I don't want a weird brand new dev tackling a fighting game. Like that seems like a rest of me. Unless it was for Nether Realm, was tackling killer instant. Oh, sure.

Yeah, I mean. But I'm, yeah, no, I'm just, yeah, yeah. See, for me, I don't want to get my hopes up. But I'm Tim. So I got it. And this to me could be a double. whammy of excitement in scalebound. Are you going to go scale that? No, no, no, no, no, no, because I'm not about for me.

Okay. I've been heartbroken the last couple years, because I don't think we're ever going to see another orie game. Another what? Ory. Oh, okay. And the reason of that is, you know, no rest of the weekend. Controversies of the team, leadership, and all that stuff, right?

So I'm like, well, bad taste in my mouth. You give Ory to another team. That's a good call off. Maximum Tim wins. That's a pretty. Maximum. A really good call. One author out there that I'm like,

we need to get this at some point is Wolfstein 3. I mean, what is machine games working on? Is it finally Wolfstein 3 time for them, or are they working on an Indiana Jones thing or like another thing? You give Wolfstein to another developer to do. Yeah, I want Wolfensstein so bad. Wolfensign 3 would be so sick.

I want a new Wolfens sign. Maybe it's Rice 2. Shit. I don't know what Twitter account got me, but they got me good. Rise 2, get up. rise to a higher level. Looking at chat here, we got a couple things. Death Loop 2.

No. I mean, I would like it, but who's going to make it, you know? Like, Arcane's working on the day. So that's the things that sounds like it's a third party. But what third party is going to make Death Loop 2? I don't know. That's a weird IP to go, hey, let's take this and give it to somebody else. Yeah.

I feel like that's a passion IP. Someone else throughout record. So what is the phrasing exactly again, please? Oh, Recore. Get the fuck out of here. Do not recor. Do not do it, Asha. We want recor.

We want recooked. No, we don't. I should don't listen to him. He's like, this is like when the A good made you put it in all caps. Don't do that. It's hard to say, Greg, because there's just,

it's a lot of, it's across a bunch of different form, both and stuff. I just remember seeing it's like from a different team. Okay. It might not be third party. So it could still be, you know,

within Xbox's, uh, groups. Sunset Overdrive 2. Yeah, I like Tunger Boy 22 coming out with prototype. Like, what if we went into that thing,

right? We have Activision, right? We have these fucking goddamn. I guess technically it would be an Xbox IP. That is an interesting way to look at it. That's way more. I mean, we're talking personal. Prototype is it?

Prototype? No. Then a killer instinct. I think we can all admit fighting games had their chance and it's time to stop. What are you talking about? Nobody wants them anymore.

Nobody plays them. He's so many. He's brave enough. The same little freaks. This generation's been so successful for fighting games. Yeah, they put a lot out. They keep putting people out of business.

You know what I? They put two developer, or one developer. It wasn't good. T.O. Wasn't that great. Greg Miller. Yeah.

What's your first prediction? Do you want to go to our continuation of our kind of funny games daily, put them in ink right away, or do we start somewhere else? I'm down to do that if you want to do that. It's not the most exciting thing. No, not at all. Let's save it then. Then I'm going to go with Witcher songs of the past.

Obviously, we already know this is going to be its big coming out party. People are going to play it. We're going to see it. It's going to be a whole thing. Yada, yada. I think they want to get out. And I think they want to put a date on this as well. I think they want to end that trailer with it.

I think it's going to be that first. part of the year. I've been back and forth where I think you put a date on it. I'm going to say February. I remember the original rumor on this was, hey, they're working on a Witcher 3 DLC. Hey, it's going to be 2026. And this year's just gotten insane. And clearly, they probably weren't ready where they wanted to be. I think it's now, though, it is that far along. And it is, let's capitalize new year, new me. You got the new console. You're doing your thing. Let's get stuff out there right away. I love that. Locking you in there. Thank you. But I have my date set for summer, 2027. And because

February, Greg, remember what's happening in February. And I understand it's Witcher 3. My birthday. But we got God of War and we got Fable. Do you think they care? I think they do, but I also think that they know they can stand up to those, right? Like... Totally. Fable, I think it's going to be, I hope,

the most amazing game of all time. I can't wait for Fable. I'm all about it. But I think Witcher 3's cachet is bigger than Fable. And then you're standing up to God of War. And if I'm at CD Project Red and I'm trying to figure this out and where's the best time for us. You know the power of the Witcher 3 and you see the scuttle butt of people on the internet of like, well, it's not a real gotta war game, it's a real gotta,

it's like fuck all that. We love it. We can't wait. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And gamers can't. But I think again, the Witcher 3 speaks to such a broad audience that I do think they get to compete on a different level there. God, it's gonna be so fucking sick, dude. What got me even more juice was them coming out with like an

updated kind of PC specification being like, we're going to juice this up even more, you know, like, because when the Witcher remaster or the next-gen version or whatever, the enhanced version, came out in 2022, I want to say, you know, they did a lot of like visual upgrades or whatever, but a lot of time has passed since, you know, Nvidia tech and AMD and all the,

they've kind of like put in a lot of work into their upscalers. I'm super stoked to see how it looks. Yeah. Bless. Hmm Hmm I know right Middle gear

Yeah, I have that for, I have March 2027 less. Yeah, okay, we're in the same way. On my prediction. Good. You know, it sucks for my fantasy league. I get it, but like, oh, that game cannot come out this year. That game needs its own space. That game needs as much love and push as possible from PlayStation, right?

Like, it is a PlayStation published game coming from its PS5 and PC, and I just feel like PlayStation is going to treat that a certain way. With God of War coming out, I don't see that coming out too early in the year, but spring getting into that March, April. I think that would make a lot of sense. Yeah, I wouldn't even know where you put this game for the rest of the year. And I'm sure that's the kind of game where the more time, the better for polish and like for as good and as like the amount of stuff they got going on in a Kna game and for a small of a team that you have working on it. Yeah, give them time.

Yeah. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it's like August or something just because of what you're saying. Yeah. Like because remember the Kina the first time got delayed a bunch of times it felt like maybe a little. delays, but like... Yeah, I mean, I wouldn't be mad at it. It's just one of those ones who's like, damn, y'all announce this in February

for this year. With the year. Yeah. Oh, they must feel so silly. You're silly. You're silly. I hate it. We did a whole Resident Evil in review, Andy. I fucking hate it. Huh. I mean, I guess I'm going to go for what I think is the low-hanging fruit

here that I thought you were going to try to steal from me. Resn Evil Requiem DLC. Oh, that's fun. And I am not confident because that games come. I'm not sure, but DLC stuff there could make sense. I think the bigger thing is, I imagine it's this year. Like, I don't think that they're, they said they're doing like a, you know, major story piece for, for Requiem. And they're going to want to get that second life back towards the end of the year getting into game awards and all that. I imagine it's

2026. Where else do you talk about it? And they could just, at any day, just tweet it out. But like, they announced Veronica at summer game fest. So I feel, like the relationship with Jeff is there they understand what they got. So I'm going Resident Evil Requeam DLC to add more to that. It'll get a date and it'll be Ada Wong. Do you want? Oh, okay.

Because I was going to say an extra tip of the hat. Are we playing as like Chris Redfield? No. I think they go Ada. Okay. Is it crazy? His whole army had the same little fur collars. What a fun time.

What a good time. What a like a, like, like a signature to have. Like as soon as I popped up, I was like, oh my God, they have the same fur collars. We need that for kind of funny. Like, Tim, figure out what is your thing that you're going to give to the rest of the rest of the

I like that. I like that. Oh, yeah, let's have the chains go. I go for it. Everything you said makes perfect sense. And Veronica, is it dated for next year? It's spring. And that's the thing, right?

You want this out before then. You don't want to step on that. But it's just like, man. I feel like you're sending that DLC to die anytime soon. Maybe in October for the Halloween scleries and a quieter month than it is before GTA. The thing about the setting it out to die, I don't think. I don't know if President Evil can be sent out to die.

Like, for a game back to come back to life. But that's the thing, the DLC, I don't think it has a chance to really live in that way. I think I think it being sent out to die. It's the people that are going to want to play it are going to play it. I don't think it's going to win people over otherwise, right? So I feel like I think it is being developed as a way to remind people how good nine is, right? And like to get to make them love it even more and to just get more sales. Like they treat their DLC like Game of the Year editions or like, you know, all of that.

So I'm not saying it's all just bundle or something like that. Oh, I'm sure. It's Capcom. Really cool sale on it or whatever. Totally. So I think that it is put out as a way to get even more RE9 sales and that games doing spectacularly. So I think that this is more marketing. than it is a play to like get as many people as possible playing the DLC.

I love playing. I love playing all like the main Resident Evil games. I don't think I've ever played a Resonie Evil DLC. And that's because they always sneak out at the worst times. I feel like it's kind of tradition for them to be like, yeah, just put it out. Because to your point, yeah, the sickos are going to play it. The people that are super into it are going to play it. But I don't, I don't think they have like the idea of, oh, yeah, we want this to hit that same number.

We want the attachment rate to be like that high for this DLC for the actual game. Andy, let's get back to you with your number two. Number two. Number two. That's kind of boring.
