Hello, everybody. Welcome to Gamescast Plays, the stream where we get together and play a new video game for you all.
We're going to really get to see Bless in the open battlefield for Neo3.
Blessing, how much Neo3 have you played?
Only about an hour.
We got the code in, and this was one where, of course, many games coming on February,
so I kind of had to pick and choose.
Sadly, I wish I could play all of every single game coming out.
But I at the very least wanted to hop into Neo3 just to see what it played like,
just to see what the vibe was.
Played the first hour, I'm excited to play more,
especially because I didn't even get to the open world area.
I didn't even get to, you know, fight a bigger box in my first hour.
I'm just solidly in the game now.
You're in that, yeah, you're in that prolog zone right now.
I'm stoked to see you get through it.
Remember, you can write in with all of your questions, comments, and concerns in the chat,
or YouTube Super Chat to support the company, support a small company,
keep the lights and the mics on.
I'm excited to see Blessing play this.
To see somebody else kind of experience this because I put in about 42 hours into Neo3,
having a really, really good time with it.
I think I'm going to see it through.
I have 10 more hours-ish left, I'm assuming.
But I want to keep playing this video game
because I think it's video game junk food so far.
It's doing the open world stuff that I just like
kind of completing all these missions
because it makes me feel good
and I see it cleared off the map and I get all the loot for it.
But Neo 3 is the follow-up to Neo 1 and 2
from Team Ninja.
One of many a game they've put out in the last decade or so.
They are known for Wolong Fall and Diancy from 2023.
They also came out with Rise of the Ronin, which was one of those that I thought was going to be a lot more because I remember it being the PS5 exclusive.
Yeah.
And it was like, oh, this one's only on the new console.
And I didn't put a whole lot of time into that one.
Kind of fell off it pretty quickly.
But they also came out with Ninja Guideon 4 earlier this year that they worked on.
with Platinum games.
They've been working.
They've been churning out content.
Yeah, I mean, I think that's one of the things about Team Ninja
that I appreciate as a studio is that there are workhorses.
They will get a video game out.
And that's more than we say for a lot of other studios.
They'll get something out the door.
Now, whether or not that thing out the door
will resonate with you in a bigger way,
you know, I do think no matter what,
they have a solid fan base,
a core group of action, action gamers,
is what I'll call them for the sake of it, right?
That follow them and really, really do dig,
their games. And I get it because like even a long fall in Dynasty, which we mentioned on the
review of Neo3, I think we all kind of gave it that three out of five area, right? Maybe six or
seven out of ten. Still is a game that I'm glad I played. Yeah. I mean. I mean, I think all of us
kind of have the same feelings where we really dug the combat because they cannot miss with the combat.
And so there's obviously still a lot there to love. And I think this game, I think aside from Stranger
Paradise, which I also love for the goofy aspects of it, but still having a lot of really fun and
engaging combat. I think this is probably my favorite one of all of them so far. Yeah. Fun combat,
great freedom of expression with the way the combat works. Very, very deep with how the mechanics go.
Do you have any games cast game tips for me at this point of the game? I'm picking this up for the
first time in the last, I want to say, two to three weeks. And so I'm getting my bearing still.
Why are Andy and bust so far apart? That's a good question. I don't know. Yeah, we don't like
each other. Yeah. It's funny. I was going to, I'm digitally like remaking it. I can move. I can move
closer. Yeah, you guys can move closer. I mean, I don't. He's playing. I'll move closer.
He's playing. I'll move closer. It'll probably look better in the window as well. Oh, yeah,
I got to get. He rude from Jesus.
How do we look now?
Good chat.
Andy didn't touch on crucibles in the review.
Do they get repetitive?
Uh, yes and no.
Crucibles are these open world spots that, like, the thing with me,
the crucibles to me, very similar to attacking enemy encampments in Gosesushima.
Or doing any repetitive mechanic in a game where some people can go,
Ah, it's just the same thing over and over again.
But I kind of found fun in the getting into the rhythm of it and getting that XP.
So I haven't found them repetitive because I'm actively kind of seeking them out because I'm like,
oh, I want to clear.
I missed one.
Let me go clear that one out.
You know, I'm enjoying kind of doing the completionist stuff in this video game.
It's good junk food.
It lets me see a map and it makes me want to clear out all of those things because the combat
and the gameplay is very good.
Now, is it me or is this screen really dark?
Uh, no, I think it's just the lights from the glare.
Okay. Oh, you know what, that probably is.
Because like the bright stuff is bright in this game, you know?
Like I could tell people's the TV settings or like my PS5 settings or something.
But yeah, I think it is the TV player.
We're good, false alarm.
Yeah.
Yeah, there are enemy camps in addition to the crucibles, which are very, very serious.
very similar, well, I mean, very similar in a way that there are just things I want to clear out in the game.
Ooh, I like that.
I like that.
That's better.
Oh, I thought of actress.
Now, one thing you need to do is crouch and take them out from behind because these enemies are dumb as rocks,
and they won't hear you if you're seven feet away from them.
Good call.
Yeah, like, if you take out a dude seven feet away from the other dude, he'll probably notice.
but like they have about like Snowback Mike's cone of vision around them.
Like they don't see or hear anything.
You have to just kind of like be crouching, but this isn't,
this isn't like an assassin's creed or any sort of even elder ring.
Well, they notice you pretty quickly.
They're very, very dumb in this game, which is nice,
because it makes things easier to clear up.
No, that's just loot.
Those boxes are just loot.
There's all that loot.
Yeah.
So the color structure in this game is white is common.
Gold is uncommon or the yellow uncommon.
Usually gold is legendary at the very, very top.
Gold is the second level here.
And I'm assuming all the other Neo games have worked like this.
I'm sure Rise of the Ronan and Wolong also work like that.
But blue is rare and then purple is kind of weird legendary.
I also love any time you come up to one of these wells, you can sometimes that little,
you already got it, but the little thing will be sitting so you can just kind of whack it,
and it'll usually give you an item.
Sometimes an enemy pops out.
Chat, has Neo and NIR ever had a crossover?
Remember in 2017?
I feel like everybody got those games mixed up.
Outer World's Outer Wild sort of thing.
It's like, oh, you play that new Neo?
It's like, you mean NIR?
Gold not being a high rarity feels illegal.
It is kind of odd, because at first of all,
I was like, damn, I already got a legendary drop.
And that's not how it works, unfortunately.
But don't fret because you have more loot here than your heart will ever desire.
Okay, Constitution heart.
Okay, heart affects key and key recovery.
So that's like stamina.
Constitution is health.
What was your strategy for leveling up?
So I went for a lot of Constitution because a lot of the heavier weapons that I prefer using use Constitution.
and you'll see where the weapons
how the weapons scale
once you open up your weapons menu
but I went for
I like having a big help bar
and I like doing damage
that's normally what I kind of lean towards
now it's weird that
what you would think is heart is stamina
yeah and then they also have a stamina thing here
and the stamina icon is an arm
which usually means strength to me
very confusing
but yeah they
I basically just looked at
what they were improved
in the moment. So I went for a lot of, I definitely went for constitution and went for,
uh, my number one, two, and three are constitution one, stamina two, part three.
And I basically just looked at the blue numbers and like what numbers are going up that I want to go up.
I like that, you know, but then you'll also see the affected weapon types down low and what
weapons get stronger based on how you're leveling up those items.
All right, we're going hard.
There you go. More hell.
The Amrita there.
Yeah, when you said Amrita on the review,
immediately I was like, I was like, what is Amrita?
Because I know that word from persona.
And so it was one of those ones where I was doing Wikipediaing,
and I was like, if Andy asks me what he's saying right now,
I'm not going to be able to sell him shit.
I was like, I know what's happening, right?
Like, this is my possible either,
I don't know if it's undiagnosed ADHD or I just don't pay attention.
It could be one of the other.
But this is one of those ones where I was very cognizant of it.
of like, if Andy asked me a question right now,
I'm not going to be able to do anything.
I'm looking of Amrita.
I'm on an Amrita trip right now.
Big boy, so the blue things
are where you could summon a homie to help you out.
Oh.
Just kind of like a ghost version of themselves.
Nice.
And then the one really neat thing that I like,
these red things around the world are fallen homies.
Like fallen other players.
You can fight them for Luke.
Is someone still fighting there?
for loot, get more amrida or whatever.
I don't know how one-to-one it is,
but I killed a lot of these little red revenants.
I just like summoning them and killed them.
And then eventually, whenever I would kill one,
I would see the red things kind of fly up and go somewhere.
And a little thing on the top left of the screen would say,
the revenant, I don't know, Spector, the Revenant captain.
I don't know what they called it.
But it's being, you know, the red fucking gloop from this enemy is guiding you somewhere.
And it guided me towards a very, very strong revenant.
And it was like, all of the revenants you killed have all combined to make this one dude.
Oh, this dude is all of the revenants you've killed combined.
And I don't know if it's actually one-to-one if it's like, if I killed 100, does that mean this guy has this much more health now or whatever?
ever, but it was really cool. And the dude dropped a shit ton of loot. And it was, you know,
really fun to sell and get a soul swore or whatever. Um, I just need to know Vasquez and chat says
he's cracked. Listen, you know, I don't know if you just caught what I just did there, but I was locked in.
He was locked in. I was locked in. He was locked in. I was locked in. Or no, he's saying the blood
edge demon is cracked. Oh yeah. Blood Edge demon. Yeah, yeah. I thought you're saying I was
cracked. I got a counter off those, you know, felt pretty good to do. Also, well, I'm
here. Let me check my equipment. Yeah. I feel like people might see me. No, no, no, dude, this game
was out where they could have been 10 feet in front of you. They won't notice you. Um,
so you're going to look at the reference stats on the bottom right. You see underneath base attack?
Yeah. Those are the three things that your shit scales with. Yeah. So chest is. So for me,
I was like chest, arm and heart. That's what I just kept on looking at. Nice. Which is constitution,
stamina and then strength.
No, I forget.
Whatever.
Chest arm and heart was what I was leveling up the most.
And so I wanted weapons that were using chest arm and heart.
And that just saw having to be big axes.
But then on the ninja side of things, when you swap to the ninja, if you hit R2, you switch to your ninjas.
Yeah.
Which is a different weapon set, different armor set, different everything.
So that's another thing you kind of are going to want to manage because they use different everything.
And then it's got a good, you know,
just like a lot of Teen Ninja games have very, very good customization
and making your dude look sick as hell.
So you unlock TransMogg pretty early on,
and you're able to just make whatever armor you want to look like
and just want your dude.
You just want your dude to look the way he does
with the old armors because it just looks sicker or whatever.
So you can have two separate sets of, like, transmog armor.
So whenever I switch with my samurai,
I look like this and my ninja guy looks like this.
And my ninja guy always had like the, the Naruto like headband kind of thing.
Yeah.
With like my sick ass hair and the little like mask around my face.
That just I got to pick the armor and make my, my dude look sick.
Games has game tip.
Make a, make an offering.
See.
You could sell a bunch of shit.
You're not going to use right now.
Oh, so this is what you're talking about during the game.
Make an offering.
I see.
At the co-op right there.
I mean, sell some shit right now.
No, boot up your game.
Hop in, you know?
Oh shit.
Oh, crossplay?
I don't think so, right?
Oh, that's a good question.
Probably not.
Yeah, probably not.
See, make an offering.
I thought you were going to be playing on PC anyway.
That's why I asked you.
Oh, I see.
No, yeah.
I started this on PlayStation.
I don't know why.
I still haven't.
I'm still in the weird place of.
Oh, I'm surprised by that.
My transition into a PC gamer.
And I don't know.
Like, part of me is still connected to my PlayStation.
Yeah.
Whenever I get the, if Greg is like, oh, we got a code coming in for a AAA game,
I think that's where I start to stumble.
I'm like, let me stick on PS5,
just because I know it's going to work.
Comfortable, yeah.
I'm comfortable with it.
But if it's an indie game, I'm like,
oh, yeah, that'll work by Steam deck.
Give me that for Steam.
All right.
Is there a way to organize?
Yes, there is a way to source.
Yeah, there's a lot.
Good sorting.
Sort by rarity.
Sort by rarity.
So blue is your rarest,
so you could sell a bunch of these items at the bottom
that you're not going to use.
Yeah.
So what you could do is hold the Y button down,
or the triangle,
and then just hit the up in the D-Pat.
Hold up on the D-pad.
Hey, what?
I don't think it's my triangle.
Oh.
Is it my-
It might be R2.
It's swapped for me.
No, because that's, wait, R2 is select all.
There's one that just led me select one.
Is it this thing?
This thing that's popping up?
Kevin just heard himself.
Yes, triangle.
So it is triangle.
Yeah, no, wait.
Yeah, because square is locked.
Oh, you know what?
If you're hovered over something, you're not equipped,
you could just hold the Y button and just hold up on the D-pad.
There it is.
If you just hold up on the D-pad, it'll go,
and just select everything you're going up with.
I think what it was is that like this is maybe starter armor so I couldn't sell it.
No, it's what you have equipped right now.
Oh, gotcha.
So you could kind of like, so by the end of it, I was like, all right, here's all the shit I'm using.
Yeah.
I'm going to hold the Y button and just hold down on the D pat and I just went and I just scrolled for what felt like seven minutes.
Got to the end of it all, sold all of it, got a shitload of souls or amrita or whatever.
And you're going to want to hit yes there because that's just saying.
Well, I want to make sure because I don't.
I guess, okay, I thought I selected something that was powerful.
Equipment of common or greater rarity is selected.
So it says that whenever you have something even yellow selected.
So it's like, who gives a shit?
You're not going to use that right now.
You're going to get a million more things in the next 10 minutes anyway.
Yeah.
All right.
So that got you a G, I think, or almost 2K.
And then right here, you can hit R3, use Spirit Stone, and then you could pop those pussles.
Oh.
And use them here.
Yeah.
Okay.
I mean, let's keep going.
So again, a lot of quality of life stuff.
That's one thing I love is that I think they're very aware in the way that I've talked about how the developer from the lead on Phantom Blade Zero was telling me when you're not Miyazaki and Fromsoff, you have less of a leash to do stuff.
Yeah.
You have less room to frustrate people because it'll go, well, you're not Miyazaki.
Fuck you.
I don't want to play your game anymore.
Yeah.
And the amount of quality of life stuff in this game that just aims to make things a little bit less annoying is awesome.
And I really, really love that.
Hell yeah.
All right, let's roll.
Yeah, they realize how overwhelming everything is.
So they streamline so much.
Yes, it's insanely overwhelming.
There's a lot of different, a lot of different systems.
And this is what I'm talking about where it's like, cutscenes look amazing.
Oh, yeah.
Their cutscenes have always looked great.
very well like choreographed and visualed and they know how to put light sources to make shit look awesome
it's just when you get back into the game that i don't always love i will say i do like the
the yokey design like there's something to there's some really cool shit in this game the art
direction of the enemies i think it looks really cool how many hours in is this best is like an
hour and a half in yeah that's cool that there's kind of like a narrative thing to why he's
to switch between ninja and samurai.
Did you equip a weapon for your ninja as well?
Yes.
Okay.
Yeah, the ninja one is the one I think currently my most powerful weapon.
Also, I'm a big fan of a Qasari Gama.
I love Qasari Gama.
Yeah.
I feel like we should bring those back just in like contemporary weapons.
Like ban guns.
Yeah, everybody has a Kassarai Gama.
Everybody, let's legalize Kisari Gama.
Like, you know, make it.
normal eyes having that just in your home.
I've been rocking with the Wolverine Clause.
I really enjoy them.
The move set on them is awesome.
I guess this is the first boss that Mike said.
I thought this guy got frustrated and I quit.
I got him tight.
Also one thing you can do when you're a ninja form.
I think if you hold down R2.
For the switch.
Oh no, that's your switch.
Hold square maybe.
Are you in, are you in,
I'm in the, I'm at the default.
Okay, so it might be triangles then.
Oh, for hold heavy.
No, it's the, uh, on the bottom right, you could throw your kunai or you could throw, like, this magical fire orb.
There it is.
Oh, yeah.
So, if you hit triangle while you're holding R1, you throw like a fire thing at him.
Ah, yeah, I remember that from the, from the tut.
Yeah.
You know what's fucked me?
Pairies.
I want to parry everything.
You can't.
This game isn't a parry.
Not until you unlock it.
it. It's in your skill tree.
Suita 51 would love this game.
You hear what he said yesterday.
He doesn't like parries.
No. Yeah. Yeah.
Oh.
He was throwing a lot of from software shade.
Damn.
Yeah, a lot of Loki from software. Damn.
I respected it. Because I was asking,
I forget what brought it up, but I had noticed that for
when I played a little bit of Romeo as a dead man for the preview.
I was like, man, this game doesn't have a parry. That's kind of crazy.
And then he mentioned that he just, he does not like parries.
I think if you have a sick guy.
Dodd and like I'm cool enough with that oh my god I started playing a Siri yesterday in
Witcher 3 she's got that fucking crazy like tracer phew oh yeah Dosh Daj Daj
Dash Dash Dosh and Daj she's got that little dash yeah because I'm still in the bloody
Baron storyline which is crazy good um playing a Siri in the bloody Baron just for a little bit
like you swap off to her and you do a little thing it was weird it was crazy um the uh
Yeah, I think if you have a satisfying Dodge enough, I'm totally fine with not having a parry.
There are just some games that I feel like you should have parries in.
It's like a gamer conservative opinion.
You just should have them, you know?
You should have parries.
Remember to be getting your key back whenever you...
Oh, smart, smart.
With that, whatever...
It's hard for me to tell you what button because I don't...
It's R1 for me.
I'm on the different control scheme.
Speaking of insane depth that we were talking about on the games cast,
for the combat.
Unlocking high stance, mid stance, and low stance on the heavy weapons
was crazy to me.
That just added so much more, and I was kind of, like, annoyed by it at first,
but it's actually pretty neat the way it operates.
There's that dodge, or that grab ability.
Again, it's the only one that isn't, like, a different color.
It's like make
make that shit
a purple or something
Oh
I was about to hit it
There's that transformation
There was a point where
I was like man
Okay I think I'm doing good
I was expecting to look at his health
And have it be like halfway
I looked at I was like shit
Even though I was like crazy
Chat we're locking in
Bus needs to work on his key replenish
Yeah that's one that
Because it is
Something you're just not used to
It's a mechanic that is
Never really experienced
and there it is.
Like, are you hitting it after every hit or after every combo?
I usually do it after every combo because I see the amount that can be replenished.
Like even missed hits?
Yeah.
Yeah, okay.
Yeah.
It just becomes second nature.
Because the ninja doesn't work that way, right?
No.
He does like a little spin when you hit ARR.
The ninja does the like leaving the ghost form.
Woo!
All right.
The ninja leaves his like little like,
you know,
phantasm behind.
Somebody says it's time
to summon the fallen homie.
I forgot about that.
That's right.
Does the hell of us have
the same mechanic?
Yeah, it has a very similar thing too.
When you time things correctly,
you get all of your...
You get health back, though, in that case.
I don't think you were getting stamina back.
Yeah, you're getting health back.
Darkstar, I like you.
Get Dark Star in there, dude.
You invoked the acolyte.
Dark Star.
I wanted that.
A little too far, a little too far.
That dude's got the crusade gama.
Damn it.
You just know after that one big spin, the red's coming.
Damn it, I try to parry.
What am I doing?
I'm playing another game.
Sick.
Oh, crap.
Hellas else's another game for my backlog says Sky Hillioli.
I never finished Hellasus.
I kind of fell off, but I enjoyed it enough.
I'd say it was like a probably seven out of ten for me from what I play.
I was playing co-op right now?
No, Bless is unfortunately on PlayStation.
I'm on, I play it on PC.
He summoned a, just a dead acolyte that's out there.
You can summon homies to fight with you for a lot of boss fights,
and you can also summon bad guys to get, you know, more souls.
I assume summoning a homie will make his health.
Probably makes them a little bit beefier.
Maybe you can
Uh
Maybe you can sell more shit
And kill a bunch of dudes behind
Or kill a dude or two behind you, level up a couple times
Yeah, I mean
What I need to do is honestly just
I need to learn the language
Yeah, yeah
I know it, but it's about internalizing the language
Hitting that R1 button to get that key pulls going
Being used to having the two different
Fighting styles between the ninja and samurai
not paring.
That being the big one off.
Yeah, I'm so used to parries now.
A little elixir right there.
Hardly nowhere.
Got him, Chan.
Come on.
Let's say Wednesday.
It's Wednesday, chat, you know.
Now, what can we sell?
I bet you got a bunch of shit
that ain't making a damn difference for you right now
if you just sell it all.
Now, you want to equip the good shit, though.
So, like, just equip the good shit.
I mean, what I would do is hit R-1, go to make an offering.
I would hit R1 and just go by weapon.
Okay.
So I, first off, equip all the good shit, and then let's worry about filling shit later.
Because I thought I had the good shit equipped.
You have like, in here.
In ninja style, you have a good weapon equipped.
You have a gold one or the yellow or whatever.
Yeah.
That's the highest one.
And if I switch over to samurai.
Oh, that is the highest one for damage.
Okay, I thought the other one was above it,
but I think you were sort of by newest,
so I was used to not seeing it that way.
So you could just sell...
Sell everything else.
Sell everything, dude.
Yeah, let's do it.
Tell it all, who gives shit?
You're going to get 90 new things in the next couple minutes anyway.
And just hold that Y button down or that triangle button down
and just, like, scroll down.
Yeah.
Oh, you probably want to go to all equipment on the left.
Oh, smart.
L1.
Yeah, yeah.
Hit, yes.
Would that get me?
Only 900 something.
Now, try to fight one of these little Rebden dudes, these red guys behind you.
Summon a dude.
Beating Nassar 2.
Level 3, you got that.
That's nothing.
That's nothing to you.
Oh, shit.
I forgot he was alive.
Oh, you respawn this dude, shit.
Oh, too early.
Is the Perry Moore Liza P or Sekiro?
It's more Sekiro when you unlock it.
But the game isn't based around having it.
the parry. Because the parry is an unlockable thing. You could play the whole game without even
unlocking the really good parry, like the deflect. But I would say that it plays a lot more
like Sekiro in that respect. There we go. How do I use this thing to the bottom right that's
glowing? That's hold your heavy. Like charge your heavy.
Gotcha. Oh, but it's only as him. Okay. Yeah.
Oh, I got it.
Oh, nice.
You still good.
Okay.
Sick.
Nice.
Pick a ball that shit.
Sell it if you can.
I don't know if it's sellable or not.
We're slowly getting this.
Probably get one level in.
First of all, let me see if any of that shit's good.
Nah.
You're set.
You got the move set.
You got the move set.
You got the juice.
Yeah, remember you could also be just tossing out a bunch of Kunai and fucking...
fucking fireballs of the dude as well hey hold on i might want to equip this thing i think you're still
a couple hundred off maybe that was a shirt yeah that's better blue a little bit more armor but some
more perks and also the more you use weapons it has this weapon familiarity feature where the more
you use a weapon the more you get to know it the more you get to know about its lifestyle where it came
from the it's family that's friends but the familiarity will go up and it'll equal more damage
So the more you use a weapon type, or just weapon, period, you get more familiar with it, and you get, it becomes stronger over time.
Oh, bless you.
Thank you.
Oh, my God.
How does the exploration level work on map?
It tells you certain zones are only recommended for certain levels.
So you just know, all right, I probably shouldn't be there if this is recommended 50 and I'm a level, you know, 35 or whatever.
Oh, I'm so, I'm still like 600 away.
All right.
Let's kill this guy, kill a remnant, and then I feel like that'll get me there.
And remember, you could, you could creep up to this dude and felt me.
I want a man, I want a one-on-one fight, you know?
Put them dukes up.
Oh, there we go.
There we go.
See, I just got to enter the zone.
Yeah, yeah, enter the zone.
Let him enter the zone, chat.
I was saying creep up on him, though, just to get to do the bigger chunk of damage quicker.
You immediately, like, crit him or whatever.
Was this katana from a free-rangeman?
All right.
Do you have any spirit stones to use also?
I think I popped them off.
Oh, you did?
Okay.
I mean, I'm already there.
You did, yeah.
All right.
What's going to help me?
I'm going to help my weapons.
I would probably do health again, maybe,
because sometimes health will level up weapons as well.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Like, it's, it's, and also if you level up stamina or strength or heart,
it also levels up your health a little bit as well.
Like Constitution will always do 30 to 40 extra health,
but the other ones might do 10 health while doing damage.
So I would go for heart,
because that's gonna boost up your weapon
that you're using right now in addition to your health a little bit.
All right, I think I'm ready.
Go for it. You got this shit.
Oh, wait, let me look at my equipment that I got from this guy real quick.
Nino Afrinni asks, anybody know when the kind of feudy forms usually drop?
I wanna participate next time.
I would say just look out for different posts on social media
then look out for Patreon posts from Greg,
because he's the one who releases them.
Here we go.
Here we go.
No.
Oh, there it is.
There it is.
Oh.
That was a practice.
Yeah.
His controller on plug chat.
You didn't see it.
We're going to have to wait to give it another shot, bless.
No.
Because we have to listen to a word from our sponsors.

I have a super chat here from Jens FC.
Thank you for your support.
Says, I'm in a delay, so please forgive me.
This has been answered.
You just try co-op in Neo3?
Seems cool based on what I've read.
And you just and the boys doing a play through together.
We talked about that during games, guys.
Um,
he brought that up during the games cast.
Oh, shoot.
Yeah, we did.
We did.
Sorry, I looked at the icon and I thought it was today's stream thumbnail.
My bad.
My apologies.
But yes, no, we didn't have any experience it with it,
unfortunately.
I want to double check.
You're seeing gameplay out there.
Yes.
Okay.
Oh, nice.
Oh, he's critter.
He's credible.
Bitch.
I got a heal.
Oh.
Ah.
You know what's fucking me up to is I keep trying to do Souls controls.
And so I'll press RT when I don't need to press on.
Talk to that shit.
Dude, I have a weird thing with switching controls in games where like as soon as I see what the default is, like my brain just locks in.
No.
And now I switch that shit.
When I switch it, my switch it, my own.
My brain wants to do, I don't know, it's like it's a weird thing.
It's like I want to click the default even though I just switched it to the thing.
Because it works out just as good.
It's like, it's not like I'm switching control schemes and being really, like, experiencing a mechanic in a very detrimental way.
Like, everything still works like it should.
This is one of those definitely patient Pete fights chat where you're not going to kill him in few.
kill him in four hits. You're going to want to just poke here and there, bounce out.
Poke here and there, bounce out. And then recognize the big spin is going to lead into the red,
and that's where I'm going to really punish his ass. I always said an action game to Solst controls.
I need it just because I want my thumb to stay on the right stick, rotating the camera.
Get a couple licks in, bounce out. This dude probably filtered a ton of people. The demo had a million
downloads. Yeah, probably. But I also think Team Ninja has been.
doing it big enough for a long time that I think if you're downloading the demo you know
you want to play this game and if you're downloading the demo you've played a lot of other
souls games too like if you're downloading the demo for neo three there's no chance you aren't
into souls games you're not just happening upon it you've definitely been through the lies of peas
and neo two's and wo wo long whoa long and wu kong and wukong and wukong and wukong
Fallen Feather.
Wu Kong Fallen Dynasty.
You should play Woo Kong Falun Fathers.
Yeah?
Better than this game.
Oh, not what I wanted to do.
Rob Ball, thanks for gifting out a subscription.
Appreciate you.
Nice, Dodge.
Low stamina?
Oh, he's doing the grab.
Yeah, the grab is the worst.
Some of these dudes have incredible grab attacks.
The animations are great, but like, man, they just hurt so much.
Ah, it's the same speed as one and two.
If anything, I've seen Vetsay 2 is a lot hard.
That's what I assume.
I assume that one and two are harder than this,
because I would say,
Wo long Fallen Dynasty,
you know, I was spending several hours on bosses in Mac game.
And this one, I think it's a lot easier.
Like the max I've taken on.
the boss is about, I think, an hour, and that was like one boss.
Everything else is like a couple tries, if not like, 30 minutes or something.
That attack is nasty.
That's like, you really want to bait out that fucker.
That red one's a good one.
Oh, get in there, get in there.
Why didn't you do it?
Why didn't you do it?
Oh, God.
I think you were maybe moving or maybe you didn't have enough key.
And I normally do that with my in samurai mode.
It may not make a difference.
But to me, I'm like, oh, I have a stronger weapon.
This is better, right?
But maybe it isn't.
Kevin, you just burp?
No, I think an enemy got a hit.
Oh, was that the enemy?
I heard that.
But I think it was somebody like...
I thought Kevin burp in the microphone.
I would never do that.
No, Kevin is very anti-burp.
Cole was barking.
Could it be that?
No, definitely not that.
I don't think so.
Oh, is a video game.
Anthony Davis to the Wizards, dude.
The fucking Mavericks, man.
The Mavericks traded.
Luca Donchich for Anthony Davis and they said defense win championships and then they know that
Anthony Davis's ass is always in the hospital because he's always hurt he's always on the bench
and they traded him that's insane oh yeah oh yeah remember to be throwing your fireballs out too
whenever he's busy oh he's hurt there we go and I think these regenerate maybe there's something
about my build but during my fight my during my fighting my ninja will always regenerate like the
little feather and the and the throwing stars and they're good just to spam and take out more
ticks of damage oh get in me nice was able to withstand that hit though that was nice oh this is the
fucking run chat everybody get everybody get ready no as I was streaming the
Witcher 3 oh and I'll streaming the Witcher 3 yesterday I was just like dude sorry
chat I played Neo for about eight hours today and every button in my mind is like
witcher 3 already kind of controls in a weird way like not traditionally to what I'm
used to with you know the more modern action games but I might
brain is in a totally different control scheme like I'm doing everything incorrect oh I
have to have a thing to summon them I didn't realize it was like a currency the what you
had to like spend a currency to summon your homies oh I didn't know that is it gold or it was like
some it was like cups and hey let's be clear Nico was the only one who's a defense was
oh no I know Nico was the only one who said that I know chat I know Dallas has been
booing and hating Nico forever ever since they traded him
Oh, you need to fight the Red Red Red Rettance and you get the Cubs to summon.
First Preserger Gazon does the same, exactly.
Oh, right.
Oh, oh.
Crazy wind up.
I never summoning these games, and that sounds like a flex, and it's not.
It's because the enemies being agroed by other people throws me the fuck off.
Oh, yeah.
And like, the same thing happens in Eldon Ring, where I'm used to the 1v1, I know how you move.
And if you're getting distracted and then you come to me, I'm like, it throws me the fuck off.
And I hate that shit.
Oh.
Throw it off.
Yeah, you were, he was in the, I was in panic mode.
He was in the fucking, I was trying to, I was trying to like re-get, like my client.
They put them in the blender right there.
Thank you, Tom Hughes.
33 months of support using your tier one love on Twitch, supporting us here at Kind of
funny.
Thank you so much for the love.
You help keep the lights and the mics on.
You help us stay in business.
So thank you for your support.
I don't know why I make that sound.
Because I feel like that's a new sound for me.
What?
Yeah.
Oh, man, I'm always yelping and yelling.
I do yelp a lot while I'm playing these games, but that specific sound.
Maybe I do that on stream and because I have my headphones in, it doesn't sound as weird to me.
But now just doing it in the big studio.
Now, imagine this.
Imagine you're fighting.
You have a back paddle on your back paddle on your back for Dodge.
A back paddle will change the game right now.
Come on, man.
Come on.
Yeah, remember just be key pulsing.
Keep on doing your key pulse.
Recharge that stamming.
I just hate the angles he comes from.
Dodge into the attacks.
When you dodge away from the attacks, it's always going to clip you on your little ankle on the way out.
Dodge into the swing.
Yeah.
Always go into the direction of danger.
Yes, yes, yes.
And at this point, run away, throw a bunch of fucking fireballs.
Back the fuck up and just like, just fucking hound him with the, yeah, the triangles.
Just hit them a bunch of, use all of them.
Throw all your Kunai and they'll recharge during the fight.
No.
No.
Did they buff this guy since the first ammo?
He seems a bit beefier.
I have no idea.
He does seem like he takes a lot to take down, but this is also my first boss fight in this game.
So I don't know if that's just the norm.
For me, the quintessential bless sign is,
when he starts doom scrolling, you're wrong.
Oh, I didn't even know that was a sound.
Me either.
I didn't know that even.
But that's kind of like the.
Oh shit. I was reading comments.
That's the sound everybody makes whenever you're looking at a
at a web page.
You're scrolling a web page, you're going, let's see here.
Oh, I fucking press the button.
Sons of bitches, team ninja, you know I press the button.
It's because we're playing with a bunch of delay here, bless.
It's not your fault, man.
It's the glare of the light on the brain.
All right, don't frame the tech side.
We've done a lot of advancing with technology here, all right?
A lot of strides have been made. You're right.
Right. Anytime in the past, I'd have to play a game out here.
Dodge into the move. Go into the danger.
I tried. Go into the danger zone.
Anytime we've had to play a game out here, Chad.
I'm like, all right, I'm going to be playing with a second of delay.
We fixed that.
He did. No, I totally did.
We totally did.
All right. Oh, let me just.
Buy more of the red guys.
Get the juices to summon the blue guys.
I got the red guys.
I'm locked in.
Yeah, he's locked.
I'm locked in.
He's locked in.
I'm not locked in.
He's not locked in.
This guy's a righty, and you keep on dodging to the right as well.
Just go to the left, and it's going to just change your whole fucking...
I don't know.
You pay attention to, like, the...
If they're a right or left.
Well, he definitely will swing left every now and there, but he keeps on doing this.
Yeah.
And when he's doing that, if you dodge away, the end of his thick's going to hit you.
Yeah.
When you're dodging away, so I always, like, go into the danger.
Go to where the swing is coming from.
Why aren't Gamescast...
plays in the lab. They usually are. This one is not. Uh, because they're doing something in the lab right now.
And also, what you don't like to set? Yeah, what's up? No, I think they're just saying like, well,
isn't it a better gaming experience in there? Oh, yeah, sure. Yeah. Actually, that does make sense.
I always dodge left or right, don't dodge back. Thousand percent. Thousand percent.
You dodge back, you're going to get clipped on your little, your little toe. This is the one.
I was, I was locked in for a few runs, and then I lost it, but I think I'm, I need to get back to who I used to be.
you know, mess around and become the old me.
I would say when you're feeling the fear of being far away,
throw all your fear, throw your Kunei, throw all that shit.
It'll regenerate during the fight.
Throw all of it and then get back into the battle and throw more of that shit.
Yes, yes, yes.
Just spam that shit.
Yeah.
Oh, that's a tough one.
I didn't think you got hit there.
I'm gonna check back the tape.
Nice, nice.
Chat, how long did it take you guys to beat this boss?
I'm hoping they say like 30 tries.
Everybody say three hours.
Somebody said 17 tries.
17?
I did see that earlier.
Make me feel better, Chad.
Yeah, it's okay.
Make him feel better.
You got this, dude.
You got this.
Once again, this is Gamescast plays.
Thank you everybody for watching and hanging out with us.
We are checking out Neo3, which comes out fully tomorrow.
But there's a demo available right now that you could download.
Play it. Tell me how wrong I am about all my bad opinions. But it's a, it's a real long demo, which is amazing.
Oh, I was blocking. I brought my thing. Oh, I had the radd IDs. Yeah. Yeah, throw that shit.
That grab is just so nasty. It's so hard to see. Oh, nice. There it is.
There we go. There we go.
Oh, I for some reason thought that might have given me shield or something.
Um, you will have upgrades that allow you to take more damage when you're charging a heavy.
Uh, okay.
You'll have more like, you know, take 12% less damage while charging an attack or while attacking period.
They should give you the option to run away, right?
What if I choose peace?
I love that.
I love the movement.
Got him in the blender now.
Doesn't know where the hell he's going.
Yes, the saves do carry over.
Chat, I need us all to type in the number one, because Blessing's number one.
I need to see all the hype.
I need to see all the excitement in chat.
Let's hype them up.
Let's get this dub right here.
And also, let's fucking dodge left bless.
This is the one you dodge.
I don't know why.
I didn't realize I had the habit of dodging right.
I think dodges is what you're comfortable with.
Yeah.
Shit.
But this one doesn't count.
That one doesn't count.
This one doesn't count.
This is my, uh...
Just the end of his attacks are always going in there.
There's the ones, there's the ones.
And also he's using a stupid controller chat.
You know, he doesn't have the back paddles.
I didn't want to be here today, chat.
Yeah, he does, he's pissed.
I told Roger, I was like, yo.
Give me out.
We had to do games.
Cats plays there.
He was in Greg's face earlier.
Yeah, they were yelling at each other.
Yeah, is a lot.
Is it not?
Do we're doing two Neo headlines back in the back?
God damn it.
What?
In my head.
It's windy in the studio.
Exactly.
There's a lot of stuff happening.
Like, put up Tekken.
Let's call Mitchell Salsman.
Take it a night of Mitchell Sonson.
Get Mitchell.
Get Mitchell's bitch ass in here, man.
Why is he here playing the game that he loves so much?
God damn.
You make him play.
God.
Let me get in there.
Let me just do one.
I'm not going to beat it.
No, yeah.
I'm not going to beat it.
I just want to see what the.
And I'm not.
I have the default controls on.
I'm not saying I'm not going to beat it because I'm not trying.
I'm just not going to beat it because he will like the...
I'm going to swap over just real quick.
Just real quick, chat.
I'm going to go to...
Type D.
Type D.
I don't have...
Type D is nuts.
All right.
All right, my Dodge is still going to fuck me up.
Ooh, he's locked in.
He's locked in.
He's going to beat it.
How do I heal up?
Bate that shit out all the time.
You want him to do that.
He thinks that's gonna help him.
It's not bless.
You want that shit.
That guy knows the buttons, man.
But dodging so weird, not on the back pedal.
I'm cheating with the back paddles dodge.
He's locked.
Punish that shit.
Make sure he regrets using that bullshit move.
Oh, this is a bad idea.
Oh shit.
I think he does like some different shit here.
Does he do something else?
Oh, do we have a phase two?
I thought or he adds to him.
Or he adds like a new move to the arsenal.
Oh, I thought I did it.
Ah, fuck me.
He went easy.
He went easy.
Come on, you got this shit.
You got this shit.
I like how he dodged directly left and right.
Like usually I dodge like inward.
Like I have the, like, I kind of want to like always kind of like go for like the, what you call it,
the eye frame there.
But you kind of like do a sidestep that I like.
I usually, I guess I try to go into wherever the attack is coming from.
Thank you, Giant Bomb for the race.
Hey, welcome in, Giant Bomb.
How are we doing gamers?
Bless just trying out Neo3.
Yeah, like that.
You kind of do like a left-right dodge.
I've put in a buttload of hours.
Oh, you change the pills in you.
Oh, fuck.
I was like, what's happening?
My bad.
What are the buttons?
Uh, R1, L1.
What's the key poles?
Triangle.
Oh, uh, square.
Square, okay.
Triangle is a form switch.
It's okay.
You still got full stammy.
That's the, yeah.
Fuck, yeah.
Fuck, yeah.
I got to change the controls anyway.
Yeah.
Yeah, this game's super easy.
As Ninja, you want to get behind impossible.
Yeah, the ninja does more damage when behind.
Oh, yeah, I remember that I'm saying that in the early game.
And that's where you're in classic Souls mode.
Go to configure controls and then type A.
Type A.
And in classic Souls sort of a terminology,
we want to get in that cooter from behind.
Hit him in the butt.
It would be hilarious of the best run with a new button layout.
I know for a second.
I was like, oh, this feels kind of good
and then I forgot everything.
It's the square and the triangle
that will really kind of mess it up.
And you got the muscle memory for that down.
Yeah, once you start seeing that spin,
you just know.
All right, here.
Dodge left, dodge left, triangle,
or whatever it is for you.
Because that's going to do the most damage for sure.
Oh, great dodges. There we go.
No stammy. Back away. No.
Oh, shit. Oh, that was a fire move. I was like, what was that? I thought you threw a bomb.
Oh, I see. Leaving me by Dodge Dodge.
Then triangles that are heavy? No, what's triangle for you?
Triangle is my form change. Oh. That's my like big Perry or whatever.
Yeah, the moments where you were behind him doing a lot of damage.
but you had no key, no stammy left.
At that point, it's like, pull out of the fight.
Let that shit recharge.
Yes, yeah.
Low Stammy, back up, back up.
The disrespect healing in his face.
Oh, he's so low to being broken.
Go for it.
Yes, now he's broken.
You're the thing.
I would stand still.
Oh, nice side dodge.
Like that, what does that sound?
Do you hear that?
It's your character going like, uh.
Oh, it sounds so much like Kevin.
It sounds like it's on a different sound layer.
Yeah. It's not...
It doesn't sound like it's from the game.
It's not super mixed in well.
It sounds very like above the rest of the mix.
Yeah.
Like somebody forgot to add reverb and integrate it correctly.
You just hear a bunch of...
Like way too.
Yeah, this guy's pissed because you just...
You're pissing him off. He's like, enough.
We're gonna overcome.
There's two of what's pissed right now.
Yeah.
I'm playing this right now.
I'm not locked in.
Oh.
Oh.
Ah, I try to get there.
Recognize that spin.
Yamagata is so sad when he has lost like one sixth of his health.
Don't be sorry.
Sorry on yourself, bro.
Just watching this, I can tell us not for me.
Sage, do you mess with any action combat RPG games?
Action RPGs or character action?
Souls likes.
See, I thought that was the grab.
because I thought I saw the sparkly shit.
Yes.
Bate that shit out.
Shit.
It's the thing where I keep getting the controls mixed up with themselves.
I keep wanting to play this like another Souls game,
and then I keep, if I use the other controls, I'll do the same thing.
Yeah, yeah.
Everybody has performance anxiety, but sometimes...
Oh.
It's not even that.
It's just that I'm not used to the game yet.
No, I'm just talking shit.
Yeah.
Bade out that shit.
If you stay close enough, he's going to continuously do that and you're just like, I want you to do that.
You think that's your move?
That's my move, dog.
Listen.
You think that that's like your advantage?
I see that red.
I'm seeing red, you know?
Art two to switch dance.
Yes, yes.
Back up.
No stammy.
There we go.
There we go.
This isn't Ninja Guiden.
We're not spamming buttons.
We're not playing DMC or bayoneta.
We have a stammy bar and we are abiding by it.
Love it.
Back up.
Fuck yeah. Good shit. Fuck yeah.
Ooh. Yes.
Love that. Love it.
I felt the horniness. Yeah.
I felt the horniness was palpable.
I felt blessed like, I'm gonna kill you right here.
I wanna, damn. I just want his health to be lower.
Is that too much to add?
Yeah. He's fucking, why do you have so much help?
He's junkie. He's junkie. You could try to level up one more time.
Like, it doesn't take much. There's a lot of people you just walked by that are gonna drop shit and kill them.
And kill them.
I'm locked into this guy.
I feel that.
I feel that.
I also don't know how much time we have left in the street.
I feel that.
So I could probably...
We're going until you beat this guy.
See, I was going to say one or two more tips.
You got this guy.
You got this guy.
It's okay.
I don't need to beat this guy.
You're always going to want to...
Like, it sounds dumb and easy.
But you're going to want to attack when he's done attacking at...
Of course, Andy, that makes sense.
But when he's attacking, his key bar.
is going low and low and low and low.
Yeah.
Because he's expanding his stamina.
And then that means it's less for you to break him.
Because you give him a chance to breathe like that,
then you could do like poke damage,
but his key bar is going to go all the way back up.
I'm just going to call it stammy, you know?
Say stammy for now.
Stammy key.
Oh, yes.
Yes.
Couple swipes and then hit that.
Regen.
Stammy, Regent.
No, oh. No, I didn't want that, but it's okay. I hate the controls in this game.
Dude, I'm telling you, swap over to the other controls right now.
No, I'll fuck it up even worse if I swap.
Oh, I wanted that. I like went in for the counter.
Okay, one more try. One more try, chat.
One more try and we bring it home.
For the troops.
Is there anything more satisfying in this game than a perfect pair?
Dude, when you can finally upgrade your shit and you get the Sekiro Deflect,
it sounds so nice.
One more try after this one.
Yeah, one more try.
I can't do one where I get hit first, you know?
That's a bad omen.
No stammy, no stammy.
Omega Buster, 62 months of support.
Thank you, Omega Buster.
Appreciate you, subscribe and supporting.
Should the deflect have been sooner?
What do you mean?
Like the acquiring of it?
Because it doesn't take very long at all to acquire the deep like.
Yes.
Yes.
Yeah, it doesn't take very long at all, Spinks.
It's like one of the first things I got.
No Stammy back up.
No Stammy at all.
Yes.
That four combo is a nasty one.
Ah.
Spinning coming down red.
Oh, no.
Damn, I thought that was the red one.
Oh.
One more.
Last one.
He's getting this.
He's getting this one.
He's getting this one.
This is the one, chat.
At the very least, I want my last room to at least be a good one.
Mm-hmm.
Even if I don't kill him, I want to like, I want to feel okay with it.
No standing.
No stamming.
You heard.
Yeah.
Gonna unsubscribe unless Andy indirects to chat more.
Sleepy Dad, thank you for your prime gaming.
Yes.
Wow.
That was scary.
Massive.
Nah, that grab ain't doing shit, dog.
I'll tell you why I had the tendency to dodge left and right,
because I can never dodge towards him when the attack is like right coming down on me.
Yes, massive.
That's huge.
That's a secret red one.
Damn, that's what I meant by the second phase stuff.
He changes it up and, like, we'll bust out the red one quicker,
and it kind of really throws you off.
But one more try.
I'll do one more.
