I'm obsessed with this quartercade thing, you and I talked about on the KFGD. Yeah? I think I might buy one. I missed it. Give me the drive. So it's a Kickstarter that is still going on right now, 23 days left to go. It's called The Quartercade. And it is a mini PC that this person is hand-making.

He said that he only made. makes like $30 per these devices, but like you can run a fuck ton of games and they're just small little, you know, small little PC console hybrid right there. It's like, oh fuck, that's exactly what I want. Three hundred fifty bucks, I think it is? Not bad. What can it, like, so is it running old games? He's able to run like Eldon Ring

on it too. Okay. So it's like, of course it's going to depend per game or whatever, but that's what I Xbox console. Yeah, this is this is it got leaked. This is with them trying trying to figure it out right now. How much is it? $350. Oh, wow. Yeah. So this guys is out there, I think $400 for the early bird if you want it right now.

But yeah, really cool stuff. I think I might support right now. Wow, look at that. Roger's going to do it. He's going to swipe the car. I might swipe the card too. I like that. I want a living room PC and this might be the moment here.

That's pretty sick. What kind of graphics card is in it? I can read the specifications. This is a Kickstarter you said? Yeah, it's Kickstarter. And I should listen to Games Daily, you said? Yeah, Games Daily. I like listening on the way home, so it puts me at a gym.

So he has the Quatercade regular and he has a Quarcade Pro. And they're using APUs, so CPUs that also have GPUs that also have GPU power it's a so they're running amd risons uh one of them is an amd risin 5-7640 hs and the other one is the pro version is the amd rison 77840 hs i need to do more research on that and how well that's going to run games but you know when you see these fucking amd models was that godfall what game was that i haven't seen that game in ages that was a game and it can run all the hot games like godfall but i saw him playing eldon ring on that so i'm going to do some more research

the year falls off. It's just done. You got what, a week until Thanksgiving, then like three days till Christmas, nobody's working, no news is happening, then it's New Year's. And when we think of New Year, we think of new beginnings and how well I'm going to do in Fantasy Critic 2026. I'm really stoked for Fantasy Critic 2026. But of course, before we get there, we do need to land a plane that is kind of funny gamescast, fantasy critic 2025. So today's Gamescast is your final look at where we're at right. now before, of course, we get to next year.

If you've never seen one of these and don't know what we're talking about, of course, fantasy critic is basically fantasy football or fantasy baseball or fantasy anti-sports for video games at the beginning of the year or really whenever you wanted to start your own. But for us, beginning of the year, we all came together. We went through and drafted five games, right?

And then we fill out the, you do a draft five games. Then you go through and you bid on other games and try to outbid each other to get games on your team. You can drop games ad games, games, but the long and short of it is that throughout the year, these games get reviewed on Open Critic and the number of points they get above 70 is added to your team. The number of points they get below 70 is subtracted from your score. Then at the end of the year, you see who has the highest score. There are all a matter of little things that change. Counterpicks.

Huh? Counterpicks as well. Exactly. There's a whole that. when you get above 90, the score changes, but just elevator pitch to keep you on with us, we thought we would do that. We have quite the jam-packed league of folks this year,

and I can't tell you, you know, every time I listen to one of our shows, and I see all of a sudden, Andy say, well, we don't pound the table on it. It's like, I don't care what you do with it. It's jazz, but I'm always so pleased to see y'all doing things I invented. You know what I mean?

These run of shows, these things, the cadence, you're all crushing it. And the way that Roger Picorni and Snow Bike Mike have been the slimyest little shits this entire fantasy critic year has made me so fucking happy. As they've wheeled, they've dealed, they've gone in the discord to try to sway things for the official. I'm so proud of these two little shit. Thanks, Greg. Yeah, we're cheated. We're cheating.

We're cheating. We're cheating. Just so you guys know. Definitely cheating. We're going to have another episode. I've not told Greg this. We're going to have the Fantasy Critics Summit. where we come together and we figure out

what the fuck to do with this thing. I'm sick of them. Me and Mike have some idea. I like that. I'm going to put you both on the same. In reality blessing, what have they done? It's all been within the letter of the law. I don't think they, I know. As somebody who was false.

He was breaking the rules. Ah, you know. He was trying to trade Mike Ninja Guyton for in an exchange, Mike would help him make the argument about the remakes. That isn't the rules. That is in the rules. That is not the rules.

You know what? I'm down to have this summit, because we have a lot of things we'd like to bring to you. That's a great. Commissioner, you know what I mean? Like, we have ideas. We have things to make it better. We see the future.

We see the future. We see the future of what this league can be. And we have some, we have some interesting people who we think we can bring into this league to kind of even it out and make it more fair. No, no. Yeah, we have some really good people.

I like it. I like that. Their pitch is going to be having someone else be commissioner to take over your spot. Their pitch is going to be, oh, Nick Scarpino can make all major decisions. We have another person. And Joey. It just feels like underneath. this blessing leadership

there have meant a lot of false accusations thrown around. Of course, I was demonized for trading Starfield back in the day. Demonized. Demonized. Unfairly demonized. Exactly. It was all under the law. And a totally legal and fair trade. Two consenting adults. That led to me winning

that year. You know what I mean? I'll put an asterisk next to put an asterisk. You don't need that. I did what I need to do and win. And because of this legal, fair trade. Like actual money and Gary book bunch of shit. Barrett, this is one of the things. You're one of those horrible people on the internet who reads the headline and thinks they know the whole story. No, I feel like I lived through it.

No money was paid. Maybe I used the in-game dollars. And then I gave away free advertising for Gary's book. That's what I did. All right. I did a gun dog ad. You know what I mean? And then the next year we said you could no longer do that kind of stuff and I've never done it again.

Yeah. But you know who did. Well, you know what caused us. That's hearsay. But also we didn't even go through. We weren't allowed to trade. Yeah. Because of Greg's action that were totally fair and legal, you took the guard.

that year. Since then, we've said you can't do that. Well, yeah. Well, we lost the ability to trade. And that's a big question mark in the league. Huge question mark. That is something in the league that should be viable and being able to do. That's a basic law of any fantasy. Two consenting adults should be allowed to trade. Of any fantasy league. You admitted that you were trading off of cheating. No cheating. We're just in the discord. We're talking to people having a civil

conversation. I didn't know you're anti-comberation. You're trying to push games to be tagged as certain things that maybe they shouldn't be. And you're getting a in exchange for giving him Ninja Guide in four. Well then they didn't even go through. Didn't go through. If I go into a bank and I try to rob the bank if I got jams and I don't get the money, I still broke the fucking. Also, who has

Ninja Guideon 4 right now? Mike. Yeah, because I dropped it. Yeah, he dropped. Because you told me I couldn't trade. So then I used my legal and fair trades and drops. We got there. We got there. Well, you didn't even know that we can do trades or can't do trades. So, you know, There's been a lot of moving, a lot of shaking in here. So let's just bring you up to speed, just at a top level, what we're at right now in terms of who are placed where, all right?

So currently in first place, it is the one, the only, the master of hype, Snowbike Mike. The publisher name is Team Andy made me pick it. Currently, he has 121 points. I'm just rounding up like I think they do on your things as well. He also has a budget of $5. What is interesting here if he's going to do anything about that? Thank you. Right behind him is a man very legal, Roger.

A-Lo games. A-Lo-free game. 106 right now. Second place right there. But right behind him, hot on his tail is the one and only Andy Cortez-Nitre rifle games in third place with 105 points.

So just one point really separating those two. Behind them. In fourth place is blessing. 103 points behind them. Of course, Sad Boy, Barrett, boss baby productions, about 95 points. Behind them,

Paris Lilly with positivity P, 93 points in six place. then a humongous drop off. Greg Miller, Ecto 1 games. I still have two games to come out if that matters. 59 points in 7th place. And then behind me, Tim Getty's let Tim publish 56 points.

Yeah, as long as I can beat Tim, which is going to be tough. Which is going to be difficult. I will be happy if I can get out of here. You know, it's weird. Of course, Tim has the crown. I think, correct me if I'm wrong, is it that Tim won last year and I won the year before that?

Is that the lineage? So it's funny that we're now in the fucking cellar doing this goddamn thing. Mike? What's your key to success? Well, my key to success was listening to my best friend, Danny Cortez, and following his, you know, ever guidance on what games I should pick. And that's what's really led me to hear. But no, truly and honestly, it's been pandering to the audience because the audience knows best.

And they were the ones who put me on to Trails in the Sky, First Chapter. And I'm just so happy I followed them and listened to them. I also bet on the audience with Kingdom Come Deliverance, too. I believed in a small studio from France, Expedition 33. I did. So, like, I really, I shot from the hip and I believe. Mike is a fascinating thing if you were an audio listener and can't see the screen right now on this team

where he currently has two zeros locked, and he's still in first place with 121 points. So again, the way it works is that if you put, when we draft games, everybody on the thing has to make a counterpick. When someone counterpicks one of your games, basically they're saying that game won't come out this year and so you're locked in with the zero or I believe that game will not perform as well as the other one. So hopefully if it drops below 70 points on Open Critic, I would get points for it or, you know, it's just the lesser of all the evils available. So right now, Mike's, with his number one pick took Grand Theft Auto 6 of course.

I counterpick that locking it in. That means he's guaranteed zero points on that one. But after that, Expedition 33, of course, getting him 24 points. kingdom come deliverance to 19 points Trails in the sky first chapter 20 points Then hyper light breaker Oof not you know another lock in there I've not coming so he's locked into zero points

After that the first berserker Not the last berserker Kazan 11 points donkey Kong Bananza 23 points EA college football 26 14 points Which I did not believe I told John I told you got him for 12 points And then he still has An open slot to pick

he can find a 99. What are you going to draft, Mikey? Yeah, Greg, you know, this episode was really a little kind of a pressure cooker for me because everybody looked at me and said, you're going to make your last selection here on the stream. And I said, I'm not doing that on the show. No, no. Okay, you have to wait on my time here.

Yeah, you're number one. And so I have some picks I want to talk about with the team. I do just want to highlight, you know, I've been under a lot of pressure this year with Fantasy Critic. As you know, I had the second pick in the draft that you brought up, Greg. And I kind of, my hand was forward. to pick Grand Theft Auto 6. On the first player, of course,

Sad Boy Barrett, he had the option. Really weighed out. Do you believe that they will delay this game, or do you pick Grand Theft Auto 6? And he believed in the delay, and he got Monster Hunter Wilds. Now as number two, I was really forced my hand of like, now where do I feel, but I feel like you had to pick it.

You had to pick it. If you were in my shoes. Nobody else here thought that game was coming out this year. Well, here's the problem. You weren't second pick, so you wouldn't approve. Exactly. That he got you. That's a good point.

If only somebody was first pick and skipped. Just so you know. So like I got stuck behind the ball right there. And then I had a delicate dance if you rewind the tape. I really encouraged a lot of people to maybe counterpick my team which was, you know, putting the target on my back. That was a bad idea. I have a silly idea.

But you did that because you didn't want anybody to counterpick Indiana Jones, which honestly was a good counterpick for you. I saw that as well. Thank you very much, Bair. I appreciate And I just want to make sure of this. Your first five games on your team here up to Hyperlight Breaker were all drafts, right? Like that's all like day one picks.

That is correct. That's crazy. Yeah, thank you so much. And so I followed Andy Cortez with Hyperlight Breaker. He loves Hyperlight Drifter. He loves that studio. He really believes in them. And that was one like I looked into my best friend's eyes and I just believed in the

Nitro rifle and he betrayed me. I tracked that one last year as well. and that also was the same situation. So I got to look to you. I was like, why are you doing that? You're like, this is the one. And that was one of those unfortunate where someone counterpicked it. I don't know which one of you did.

I think Andy did. It came out early access, didn't receive enough reviews to get a score. So I got very lucky. Then the team a couple months later was like, hey, hold up. We're like halting production on this, which then put it on to the, it won't release this year category where I could have dropped it, but unfortunately I wasn't able to get out of it.

So that gave me the two zeros. So now we moved a little bit forward. I bet on First Preserker Kazan. It got me 11 points. Would a perfect... I'll tell you, you want 15 points and above. You're playing fantasy critic with your friends. Your target goal is always 15 and above, right?

In a perfect world, you're probably not going to get that, but you're aiming for that. And so I had to make a big move, blessing. And this is where when we go to the Fantasy Critic Summit, I'm going to raise my hand and I'm going to propose something. As many of you know, a lot of you like to sit on your cash. A lot of you are afraid to say, spend it on like big Mike who's willing to throw it down.

How much did you bid on Donkey Kong? Thank you. I think it was more than what the game is actually worse. I wasn't afraid to stiff arm, Barrett, and the rest of my opponents to keep the best games for myself. And so I splurts because what is $89 at the end of the game going to do for me? And that's why I propose a new idea. All of the money that you have left in your bank account at the end of the

year gets turns into points or half points. So to encourage you to maybe make smarter biz or maybe you understand this. Maybe your favor. Well, no, this would hurt me because I don't have any points. It would do Tim a big benefit because Tim has $96 left. He didn't do anything. Tim has no idea how the game is played. So I'm saying.

Tim would. So busy anticipating the birth of his daughter. Got a real life going on. What if we turn? What if we turn the money into points at the end? What? No, that's terrible idea. I'm even against you on that one.

I mean, like, chat. Because, like, Tim played the game badly. We shouldn't award Tim for playing the game badly. You saw the potential in Dotcom, Benza and saved your money and went, oh, I have 80 whatever dollars to spend here. I feel like that's the game we're playing. Let me tell you on this. You have $23.

You would get 23 points. Here's what I'll say. The game needs to be played on the page. We can't come in with, this is like, Monopoly, where all of a set of free parking, put all your money in the middle. No, we're not breaking the game where it's going to be, we look back and like, okay, well, Roger has the crown, but because of Mike's weird shit, actually regularly, the guy who had, like, no, it's definitely whatever is happening on the page has to be on the game.

I can see what options they have on the website, because maybe if they have it, then maybe we throw it out there, but return to it then, of course. I go to EA sports college football. I believed in that. It was year number two. I thought they would make improvements. They did that. Ninja Guy in four, me and Roger, this is when me and Roger started.

cheat. Okay, this is what we haven't been cheating. This is when we started to cheat. We were cheating. It's full, like, mask off, magna. It's like, yeah, we're doing it. We were keeping. This is what Roger promised me, Ninja Guidant 4 would be, would deliver.

And by the points there, it didn't deliver. That's not true. Now that is Mike doing his mic thing where I looked at him and I was like, hey, Mike, I don't want Ninja Guidein 4. I don't think this game is going to be great. Yeah. But also, I want to get Crimson Desert. And then I want to drop that and then have a free drop space, right?

So that was the game we're playing. But I told you straight up. I was like, I don't think this game is going to be going to be amazing. Clearly I was wrong. I mean, this game has an 82. Still great. That's a great. But like I said, 85 or above.

And so now we get to my final pick. And that's what today's episode is all about, was putting the president on. What is it? Reveal what his final pick is. These people, these opponents, my competitors, okay, audience out there, fine, incredible human beings in the audience out there. These Gibronies here at this desk and out there are trying to put pressure on me to select the game today. And I'm not going to do that, okay?

But I will tease you with some of the games. Just for a record, too, if you've never done Fantasy Craig before, he could bid on a game today. And then the bids process still in two days. So it's not even like... Well, here's the catch. Nobody else can bid. So like, it is my game no matter what. It would be one thing if you guys can slide in a bid.

You can't bid. Right. You're looking a little weird. I mean, I do believe that like I still have... Greg Silga has drops and he has a lot of money. I have drops money and I have the ability. We have to go. When we get to mine, we need to talk about Moonlight. We'll see. We'll see. I like that you got the, I like that you got the five.

Stand back and stand aside. Okay. Stand down. You're not a player. You're not a player. Okay. And it's him that could be involved in. We got some ideas for the summit. We got some ideas to the summit. Now, Roger put a lot of pressure on me here at the end of like, Mike, you need to select ball X pits. And I really trusted Roger. And I was like, I was 75% of the way there. And then Roger did the most Roger fucking move and selected it in his damn self.

And that really upset me. I looked at you for maybe months. I said, hey, man, this is the game to get. And you said, I don't know. Andy says it might not be that great. I don't know. I don't know. And I was like, fuck you.

I'm taking it then. And he's like, okay. And then he's doing the mic thing where he's doing one word answers. I'm like, I need a look out for myself for once. While we're here, why don't we look at second place? I lo games. A low reach. A low reach.

We got Roger with his first pick. Took Ghost of Yote. Got 17 points off of that. Second pick, Metroid Prime 4 Beyond. We will see in December. We will see. That's impressive. South of Midnight brought in seven points.

Zeno Blade Chronicles X definitive edition brought in 17 points. Here we go. The Talos principle reawakened. God. That was a great pick. The Elder Scrolls fucking self. Four, oblivion. Remaster brings in 12 points.

Tony Hawk's pro skater three plus four brings in 13 points. Keeper 12 points, Final Fantasy tactics. That's where we worked. 17 points. That's where we worked. Ball cross pit, 17 points. His counterpick of Claire obscure lost in 24 points. Yeah, I'm going to have to talk about that.

He would run away with it right now. But currently, I would call that and was like, ah, it's too original. Yeah, that's exactly what happened. 106 points currently. But yes, blessing while we're here, Commissioner, talk to me a little bit about why we all grown when we get to. Zeno Blade, Talos principle, Elder Scrolls 4, Tony. Not all.

And Final Fantasy Tactics. It's the thing where... It's the thing where... You play that game with the full remake. I'm not going to get too mad at Roger because they're... Playing the game? He's playing the game. There are rules set for remake, reimagining, and remasters.

And what's allowed and what's not allowed. Remasters aren't allowed. And you might look at Roger's list and go, Oh, Elder Scrolls for Oblivion remaster. Doesn't that fit? Well, according to the Fantasy Critic website, they look at that. they go, well, no, that remaster is actually a remake. And we weren't part of that discussion.

We're not judging off of the title. We're judging off of what the game is, which fair. It's weird. It's a whole thing. So I don't groan at that necessarily. Will that be a thing that comes up in the summit? Who knows? There's somebody's a complaint.

We can talk about it. But I'm mainly grown when we get to the Discord conversations. Okay. And the wheel and dealing that goes on behind the scenes with Roger and Mike. I mean, we could talk about that, right? I mean, these conversations are out in the open. These are not private conversations. You can join the Discord at any time.

Uh, but Evil East Chronicles, Mike and I, we did put our two cents out there because there was an article from the director who said that they lost all the code of the game, the entire code of the game. So they had to rebuild the entire game from. scratch. I think that sounds like a partial remake. At the very least.

At the very least. I mean, I'm not mad at it. And it also has voice acting. So that's, that's a partial remake. I want to get mad at it. That one's fair.

That one's fair. I don't think anything, anything that I've argued here is unfair. Zeno Blade Chronicles. Hold on. Yep. Tell us. Well, first of all,

Zeno Blitz Principle. Well, talk about Talus Principle because you said that. Talus Principle is fully remade in in Unreal Engine 5. Fully remit. Fully remade. I don't know what all of that.

Zeno Blade Chronicles X definitive edition. I've made the distinction before. Have you played Zinovadov's X before? I played the definitive edition. You played the original. I know about it. So you will never know. You will never know what they've changed.

No one knows what they've changed. They have new content in it. I don't buy it on the page. Fantasy critic says it's legal. There's new. There is new content of it. There is new content inside of it. Right?

But what is that? That's a partial remix. And here's the problem. Tell me one new content, Rod. I don't know. I don't have to know anything. I'm telling you. The information is out there.

The machine allows it. And that's thing is, I can't get mad at it because the website deems it is so. Exactly. So we're just talking. It's not like Mike and I came in there and said, this is what needs to happen because we're the number one fantasy critic influencers. No, they've said no to us. They said no to us multiple times. As commissioner, if you guys were doing anything here that was like, you know, shady or actual cheating.

If I'm offering a Venmo, then you can get after. Yeah, exactly. I would have stepped in and being like, no, Rocky. Have you offered to Venmo? He has. He's a hundred percent. He has. He thought about it. Jesus, Christ.

But everything. Roger has done here is all technically legal. And I fucked myself. It's all perfect. It's all perfectly legal. I have fucked myself. I mean, clearly with the Expedition 33-1. Again, I will stand by it in the sense that I did that before the second, like the actual

like gameplay drop of that trailer happened and the developer director, which was in January or February around there. I think it was in January. This was like the initial reveal trailer, I think at Game Awards. Right. So I saw the big names. I saw Charlie Cox. I see

fucking Gollum in there. He's in this game. He's in this game. And I'm like, I don't know, man. Like, it's such a, you're trying, you have all these amazing, incredible inspirations, how it's a small team. Are you guys going to be able to do it? I bet against a small team. Clearly I was in the world. It felt like a very ambitious, like almost too ambitious project for such a small new team that has had experience before. Like I was right there with you, Roger. Or at the beginning of the year, I was, I was a doubter of this game. But yeah.

Yeah, so, you know, I'll take that big L. I'll take that big L, and next year I'm going to learn. I'm going to counterpick just, just fucking, I'm going to find, yeah, I'm going to find GTA6. A thing that I learned of, obviously, when it comes to the counterpicks, it comes down to, you know, like, games that are, the games that we have, the option to counterpick, right? Like, I think when you're either the last counterpick or when you're in that last few, it is, all right, what's the lesser of all these evils? Yep. I was looking at a page, I already lost it, so I'll see if I can find it again, that broke down. down the stats over the years of like what were the best counterpicks were the worst

counter picks and all this stuff and funny enough the best ones are always games to get delayed into the next year yeah yeah it's so rare that we have a game that's listed that gets scored below a 70 or gets canceled like ever wild which is what i should have done or everwild is that one uh no you're thinking of the celeste yeah the celeste follow up which i was like i was the game i drafted i was kicking myself yeah that was i think with that news came out right as the claire obscure's like gameplay trailers started to come out and i was like fuck man all certain universe. I could do that.

Like I'm looking at the lowest scoring games. And this goes back to 2021. In this specific league page, it's been on and off. So don't use this gospel. But the lowest scoring games here of all time, right? Battlefield 2042 was picked by Greg. And that got us back in 2021.

I don't like this. The narrative. I look over this. I already don't like this. And that scored a 65 on Metacritic or on Open Critic. Jet the Far Shore was picked by Emron in 2021. That scored is 65. To the rescue, a dog shelter,

simulator was picked by Greg in 2021. That scored 67. And then everything else for the lowest scoring games are all did not release games. Eldon Ring. She dreams elsewhere. Zella, Tears of the Kingdom, Silk Song, Gotham Knights, Sunnis. All those scoring 70

and luminous. games really because mixtape ain't coming out. Mix tape is not coming out. To run you through the tail of the tape, split fiction was his number one pick, got him 21 points, humongous. Death training two on the beach, 20 points humongous.

Wander stop at 11. Mario Kart World with 17. Mix tape, which is counterpicked and locked in, of course, not looking good for coming out this year as they continue to be dead silent. What's like the best case scenario? Like, is it a shadow drop at this point? Game Awards, yeah. Yeah, game awards.

I was really worried about the idea at Xbox thing earlier this week. I was like, that might happen. It might happen. Too small. I don't know if that's a game that's a game that needs to be in the awards. You know what I mean? Like, that's the game that needs to be nominated for the awards.

Possessors, which is coming up pretty quick. Again, coming out. Bionic Bay got you 16 points. That was a great bull. Skin deep got you six points. Fuck. You picked up Luminator Eyes, which should be fucking awesome. Yeah.

like, Lou, I think Luminous arise will maybe not hit as big as Tetris Effect, but I would still imagine a high 80s, you know, and then possessors, like, I don't have a good finger on the pulse with that one,

but I know how excited people are for that game. So, like, I could see you getting anywhere from like mid-30s to like 40 points left on the board here. What's first place? Like who was the right now first place is 100. So pretty much you, Andy and Barrett are all in this with me of like if your games were to score 15 or above. You would be in the one-thirty range. And we're all having a very close battle to see wherever this goes.

Barrett has three games. I was going to say let's bring Barrett into the conversation then if you don't mind. So we have an idea of who all is still in the. mix over here. Boss Baby Productions currently has 95 points, but yes, three games left to play. Monster Hunter Wilds got bare at 19 points. Citizen Sleeper 2, Starward Vector got him 17 points. Dispatch is locked. So far, no points, right, because we're waiting to see the whole thing come out. Is that with the little... Yeah, it needs more reviews. Yeah, yeah. It's got reviews, but it's, I think it needs to be like a certain, what is it, like, well, no, it's got like eight reviews

on there, but I think they're from smaller outlets. Like there need to be like from bigger outlets or whatever. It's also a weird one because nobody's fully reviewed dispatch. Like the reviews are for episodes one and two. Yeah. I can't count towards this, right? I have no idea. But I imagine once the full season is out, like you're going to get your IGN, your

GameSpot reviews and stuff like that. I feel good about dispatch just for the reaction people are having for the first two weeks. I see that getting mid-80s at the end of the day. Unless it like falls off in like the last week. I'm like, you thinking like 82, 83 is where I'm, my prediction would be. Okay.

After that, Rift of the Necro dancer got you 10. Everhood two got you eight points. Blueprints, 20 points. Hey. Shinobi Art of Vengeance got 17 points. Then left to release,

why I'll toss in rematch got you four points, which is crazy. I would have thought that got you more. Unbeatable and Marvel cosmic invasion are still left to release this year. You counterpicked mixed. tape, which looks like it's going to pay off if it doesn't come out. Yeah, and that was the counterpicking. I was the last person to counterpick, and that was the hope that it wasn't going to come out

this year, because that game does look rad as hell. Yeah, rematch. That was a, I was really, heartbreaking. I was really riding on the high in excitement of Bless Mike and Andy on that one, and that did not pay off. All you need to do was ask us, because I would have told you that you're not going to do well. Yeah. I would have been like, no.

I don't trust any of you, though, anymore, especially because of it. those two at the desk there. I think my biggest mistake this year, honestly, was a game that I drafted day one and then dropped because I got two in my head about it because there was a DLC for an indie game and that was

we'll talk about it later, but Greg ended up picking it up with C of Star's Throws of the Watchmaker. If I hadn't dropped that, which I think after I dropped that, I picked up both Rift of the Nekker Dancer and Everhood too. I would be in a much I think easier spot and feel like a bit more safe about getting a win here.

Because of that, though, yeah, we'll see. I do think dispatch will get me probably an 84 or 85 just with like a lot of nine so far is, a lot of eight. So I really think it'll hit in the middle there. Unbeatable is a weird one. Yeah. Unbeatable has been like one of my most anticipated indie games in the last like four years since that white label demo came out. I think in 2020 or something like that.

That one I'm really looking forward to. It's coming out next week, and it's one that, like, I could see being really into rhythm games, being really into, you know, the anime vibe and what they're teasing as, like, a kind of really emotional story that has some interesting political commentary in it. I could see it being, like, one of my, like, contenders, but I could see it reviewing at, like, an 80 overall on, like, open credit or something like that. Barrett, I understand, but from the chat, we have Nicholas saying, I thought C-I stars is good. why did you drop the DLC? Because Greg and I have like had this conversation before. Like DLC never reviews as well as, uh, as an indie game. We'll talk about that.

We get to my list. Yeah. And then also the other thought was I was worried about like it was, I think it was coming out at such a busy time. I was also worried about it not getting enough reviews and enough outlets actually like giving it the time to review it. So that, that was kind of a, that was, I was, again, doubting myself a lot, and I shouldn't have.

And so, yeah, we'll see with Unbeatable. But then Marvel Cosmic Invasion, I think, is going to give me big points. Their last game, Shredder's Revenge, I think, reviewed at like an 87 or something like that. So I think Cosmic Invasion is going to get me big points to get me close here. I doubt I will take it all at the end of the year, but I'm in the conversation at least. He's in the conversation. And I want to make sure we're clear, especially for people listening who don't have all stuff in front of them. Michael,

you said he's in the conversation, right? Because, of course, 95 points, but three games left to score here. You notably left out Paris Lilly. He has 93 points, but only two games left to go. I would assume that's the answer why you're leaving him out of this conversation right now. Positiveity

P, here's the catch with Paris Lily. Kirby Air Riders, I think you're going to get a thumbs up. I think you might score about 85 or above on that. Call of Duty Blackop 7, though, is a tough one. His final two picks. here, Greg, Call Duty Blackup 7 and Little Nightmares 3 were his, hey, let's make a big move, a big bet right here.

And I think he got too excited a little too early and selected those two. I do think Call Duty Blackup 7 will review probably in the 77 to 80 range. I don't think we're going to go above 85 on that. Maybe you get to 80. I just got the guy from heroes. I think that there's a chance this one, like, is low 70s. I don't know. I think they're going to be 80.

hiding enough of the big stuff that we've talked about and it's like, ooh, why aren't we showing? Why aren't we talking about this? Games comes out, it sums out pretty soon. Yeah. But Little Nightmares 3. That was one where it's like, ooh, here's a game coming out, Halloween spooky season. Of course,

it is super massive. It's not the original team. This is one maybe we jump on. And Paris definitely beat me to this. And three points is unfortunate there. Let's run you through Paris list so far. With number one, he took Hollow Night's Silk Song. Got 22 points off at a huge get for you, Paris.

like a dragon pirate yakuza in Hawaii got him 11 points. Assassin's Creed Shadows got him 11 points. The Outer Worlds 2 got him 12 points. Adam Fall netted only 5. The Alters then got 16 points. Then as we said, Kirby Air Riders is still in play. Borderlands 4 got him 12 points. Call of Duty Black Op 7 got him no points yet.

Obviously we're waiting to see how that plays out. Little Nightmares 3 got him 3 points. And then his counterpick was Resident Evil Requiem. Great counterfeit. I still don't see what everybody else sees. I'm still convinced Kirby Air Riders. gets him like five points. No.

I feel like that's, that's wild. Do you want to watch that last direct? Yeah, man. Like, I don't get the... Sacchar put his foot in it, man. He put everything. Yeah, when you... Sacchar goes full Sakurai.

Paris, yeah, I think it's just doesn't have that third slot that you're talking about to kick it around. Those final three picks for him were the unfortunate ones, right? Like, you kind of start looking towards the end of the year. You look at what you look at

you have left after those initial first five picks. And it's tight, right? You don't have many picks to really play with. And Borderlands underperforming due to just a lot of bugs at launch and never finding its footing with the audience out there. That's an unfortunate pick at 12. Call of Duty is just a roll of the dice every year on where that is. That's like picking a sports game and hoping that this year's their breakout year. And then Little Nightmare's three. That was a roll of the dice. That's a 50-50 coin toss, in my opinion. I'm surprised that's so low. I thought that would have came in at least like an 80 or something.

It previewed so well, it seemed like, and then, yeah, just reviews. You're like, man. The worry is, yeah, if it's not the original development team, does it still have the stuff? And, you know, it looks like the reviews. He also had a co-op, but the co-op was only online co-op as well. Wait, what? Yeah.

Oh, that sucks. I was going to play that tonight with Lianza on the couch. I had a whole night planned. Yeah, sorry. You can play and just tell her what to do. Yeah, exactly. That's how you would. Pairs is in the chat as well, and he said,

I'm able to stay in front of Tim, which is what I want. Hey, Greg. Why don't you just drop me to the hollower? Elden Ring Night Rain was my first pick. It got me 10 points. Metal Gear Solid, Delta, Snake Eater was my second. Got me 15 points.

My third one was egregious, but it was also part of the bit. Indiana Jones in the Great Circle, The Order of the Giants. This only got me two points with my third pick. My idea, of course, was that I, you know, notoriously didn't like Indiana Jones that much, or at least as much as everyone else claims they liked it.

And so I was like, Oh, well, this is going to be their chance to get in there. I'm right there with you. That's a good game. A lot of people still talking about. Yeah, a lot of game of the year lists. Even the ones that went out. A lot of people loved Indiana Jones.

That's why I got an art top 10. Enough of you clowns were like, oh, you were wrong about it. It wasn't my personal. All you did to put it at number 10. You would have got it on our list. Not every game I play is going to be a top 10 game. Great game, you know.

Anyways, I was like, this DLC, hopefully it will be a chance. And it was not. Nobody, nobody gave that one the time of day. Then, yeah, Mina the Hollower. then Moonlighter 2, the endless vault, which again, Mina and Moonlighter still coming. Interestingly, Moonlighter 2 on our thing says will not release. This game will not release this year. In fact, Moonlighter 2 will release in Early Access this year.

This is a conversation. I did join the Fantasy Critic Discord today. Yes, you did. I don't understand what's going on. What's going on? Dan from Canada answered, your league has, quote, only needs a score, end quote, which means early access games if they get enough reviews, three times. top critics, you will get a score like Mike did last year with Hades 2.

Yep. So it is this showing up to these things with PowerPoints because I definitely explained this at the beginning. Oh, no, no, no, you did. Let's be honest. There's just so much information and then to get to hear where it pops up and I'm like, my question wasn't what's going on? I was like, Moonlighter 2 is tagged as will not release, but it's coming to early access.

Is this a thing with the league I'm in? Should I drop it or will inevitable reviews kick it up? So no, at the beginning of you do a great job of explaining. It's just a year later where now I'm hazy or, of like, wait, am I wrong? Because my belief was, if I get, I fully believe Moonlighter 2 is going to release this month and it's going to get scores at launch. Like, I'm not worried about getting three top critics.

I think it's going to, I don't think an IGN's going to hold off on it and be like, well, it's early act. I think you do early. They did kind of fuck you a little bit, though, because they said that they specifically weren't doing early access. It was like on the thing. It's even that thing where like, did they fuck me? me?

Because it was like, you hovered over and it was like, a PR person has set. And it's like, well, you can't trust a fucking PR person. They're not the developer. You know what I mean? so I'm holding on hope that that will get there whatever I like then Dan started from Canada started giving me advice though like well you may want to do this with Mina and blah blah blah and then I especially appreciate it you know my first day

on this fantasy critic thing I popped in Jim Booney responded and just goes Greg did Tim come into work today pulling a some kind of funny subreddit thread I made of a joke into this over here so I appreciate the kind of funny best friends being out there all the time anyways Moonlighter 2 is there I am committed to it I'm not letting Moonlighter go, especially since I'm already out of the fucking race, but I believe in Moonlighter too. Then we get into an interesting trio

of games. Yeah. Yeah. Wheelworld, which got me three points. Tough. To a T, which got me zero points. Super tough. Criminal. Crudling, which got me 10 points. What's notable about all three of these games is that I played them all that, and the GDC ID at Xbox thing,

came home and bid on them. In my thought being like, I thought the Wheel World demo was so good. I loved it so much. I reviewed it for us, and I was like, this did not live up to expectations I had on this game, which is heartbreaking, right? But it was that idea of I went against my own advice.

If you look back through the years of doing Fantasy Critic, early on, I've fallen for this Swan song again. This cool indie, I'm going to toss it out there. You fucking to the rescue, a dog. I'm like, people who get this are going to love this. It's like, Indies are so hard to nail.

But coming off of last year where like Barrett killed it with Bolotro and stuff like that, I was like, I got in my own head of I need to find the diamonds. That indie hit. I need to find these games that I think have the chance that have the juice that have the thing. And I thought all three of these games could.

And it was that thing. I know what I'm saying. I thought they could deliver on it. You're better on one of them. To a T being a more, like it's from nob-nobie boy director, like a weird ass game, but here's an idea that might work better with it.

And I think we had played the demo at this point at Xbox, ID at Xbox during GDC. Because remember me and you coming out of that being like, man, looking forward to this. The songs, this is a lot of fun. I also bid on this game

and I think you outbid me on it. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm happy I took the bullet for it. But again, now we've learned my lesson and next year,

I haven't heard of that one. We can look that up, but I have, of course, Ano-117 packs. Ramana, you can look at the nano and hope that maybe the strategy nerds will come out. The problem with that is you got a Ubisoft title on that. And then on top of that, you saw what happened with, of course, Siv. And then also, what was that one that Xbox was doing that I picked up? that 5.5, like 72. A lot of these strategy games, it initially comes out.

The audience says, no, we want this, we want that. You mess this up. And it takes about one to two DLCs or content updates to get that right. And so the initial picks of these strategy games are very smart because they do finish up on the higher end. But the problem is, they start low. They start low because the audience, the diehard fans are not happy with what you do with. And then it's rare for people to go back later in the same year. like re-review to like change that score.

But Mike, you could trust Roger. Yeah, you could. You could trust Roger and believe that a mainline unannounced half-life game will shadow drop at the game award. That's what I've been saying this for years, man. We've been tracking Gabe Newell's boat.

Where the fuck is the boat? Is he going to show up in L.A. And he's going to go on stage and is Jeff Keeley going to have the moment where he's like, I got a little bit of that high last year of I announced a ton of games. I announced Elcom. but everyone wanted half-life, so here it is.

And guess what? Kingdom Come Deliverance to just, what, two weeks ago, announced that they have a DLC, on the way. Run it back. Run it back. Am I about to run it back with Kingdom Come deliverance to DLC

to possibly secure this win in the best way possible? That's actually kind of genius. So there you can see it. Mysterio. Let's also hover over the other DLCs that they've had and what the scores he's gotten over there. I believe one of them had like 10 points

or 60 or was like a 60 or 70. So like these things... But aren't they making a big deal about this one? I thought they're making a bigger one. This one. You know, I just, we're riding the hive kingdom come delivered to. I'm a believer of it now. I've been playing it nonstop.

Wouldn't it be fun if I bet everything on this game? If I fumble the bag, everybody can say nan, nannaboo, you messed up. But if it wins, we could have one of the greatest stories ever. And that's ladies and gentlemen and MBs where I'm at right now. Or you bet it all on me, your best friend, Half Life 3, H.LX. H.L.X will be there. You took ball pit from you. Resident Evil Requiemf by Paris. Zero points on that one. Then he had Midnight Walker. which got him 10 points. Tough. Then Darwin's paradox. Tough. The eternal life of Goldman.
