What's up and welcome back to the Kind of Funny Games cast for Wednesday, September 4th,
2024.
Of course, I am your host, Tim Geddes.
I am joined today by The Taste Maker.
Roger McCarty.
Feels good.
Feels good.
Feels good to not have a default name anymore.
It's a fault name.
The law?
Yeah, that was the default name in WWE.
That's the reason why Greg chose it.
Yeah.
So it's just like, it's nice to have something.
Wow.
That's original.
I did not know that lore, but I like that.
The tastemaker, though, is good.
It's real good.
Thank you so much.
If you don't know why it's the tastemaker,
you're going to have to listen to you.
You earned that, Roger.
Our Gainescast episode from yesterday,
explaining Roger and Blessings,
trip to Japan where they met Kajima,
and it was an all-timer
games cast episode.
So I'd highly recommend you check that out.
But joining us as well today,
we have the best voice in the business.
It's Paris, Lily.
I'm so happy to be here.
It is always a treat when I get to come in the studio.
I love seeing you here.
I woke up this morning.
I saw the picture of you with the coffee
in front of the logo,
and I'm just like,
oh, it's about to be a good day.
A Paris day in the studio,
there's a different energy.
good energy. I'm happy to have you. It's always surreal to have him. It is for me too. Like when I
walk in and bless is usually the one to, uh, I see first and we hug it out. You come and we hug it
out. It's always great, man. Good vibes, man. Good vibes here. Speaking of good vibes.
I don't think they get much better than this man right here. I haven't made content with him.
I miss you. It way too damn long. Everyone's been gone. Mike, you have been gone. Of course,
this man, Snowbike. Nine days. There we go. Nine days. You have been out of
my life. I was gone even
a little bit more than that because I was on vacation. So it's been
a while since I've felt your energy.
Holy cow. It's been a long time, Tim. So I'm really
excited to talk to you about your adventures
in Washington, D.C. We sent
you to the Capitol. To the Capitol.
What's the worst place to say, Mike? God,
but this is the Kind of Funny
Gamescast. Each and every weekday, we get together
to talk about the biggest reviews, previews, and
topics in video games live on
YouTube, Twitch, and podcast services around
the globe. If you love what we do,

please feel free to send them in and we'll discuss all of it.
A little housekeeping for you.
You already got Paris's thoughts on his experience playing The Legend of Zelda
Echoes of Wisdom, which I'm incredibly jealous about on Kind of Funning Games Daily,
so you can check that out.
Roger, we're just like two weeks away from this game,
coming out. It's incredible. That's just from a new Zelda. Oh my God. And then after this,
the stream is just going to be Mike and Paris hanging out. A little ex-cast reunion, you know,
come on. Talking life, talking games. Was Gary invited?
Kid, we forgot to make the phone call. We forgot to make the phone. It's not too late.
It's not text him now. You're literally text it right now. Gary, come hang out with us.
I don't have my phone on set. I'm doing my best. I'm doing my phone on set. That's all right.
Too bad none of us have his number. It's crazy. Can I say before we continue. So, you know,
Xbox did the GameCast LA thing, right?
And Mike was originally going to go and he did go, but I was there.
Gary not being invited was the running joke of the entire.
It just transports to another fucking...
Gary has arrived in the building.
Everybody loves Gary.
Gary's miss.
I wish he was here now.
Do you want me to call Gary right now?
Yeah, shoot him to call and just say, hey, Gary.
I'm going to call Gary with her right now.
this. Come on by if you want to. Just a little ex-cast reunion.
I want to just let you all know that, yeah, I missed him. I'm glad they had a great honeymoon.
I want him to know that I got into a lot of shenanigans. He's going to be very proud of.
Roger, I love you to death. No, you don't. I miss you so much. And I'm so happy you're back.
What you did in Japan was truly incredible with bless. I'm so proud and happy of you.
But I missed you a lot, you know. And I also love that we absolutely stunned at Dale Kijima.
hand him with a flashbang.
Okay?
That man...
He's never seen art like that.
His next game might just have a death stranding written on it on the CD.
I love that you looked at him and you said,
my friend did extreme sports and you left it like that.
You know what I mean?
That's all you had to do, Raj.
That's all I had to do.
There was a moment where I was like,
do I explain snow bike mic that this guy's name is snow bike.
I don't know how to translate that in Japanese.
I don't think they have that technology to say Snowbike Mike in Japanese.
I don't think they do.
But you gave it to him.
And then, of course,
Absolutely. Thank you for acknowledging my t-shirt.
Tim, you know, as we start up the Call of Duty experience stories,
I want you to know the Sunday before I went off to D.C.
I went on a shopping spree.
One second, one second.
Gary is calling back.
I went back.
I went back stuff.
Hey, Gary, what, you're live right now on the kind of funny games cast.
Yeah, I had a feeling it might be something like that.
Normally it's Greg calling you with you some bullshit, but this time it's me.
Paris Lily is in the building.
Snowbike Mike is in the building.
After this games cast, they're going to be hanging out on stream.
They don't know what they're doing, but they just were like,
hey, maybe we're going to do a fun little X-cast reunion just hanging out and catch it up.
By any chance, are you free to come by?
If not, I know this is last minute, but if you could be here, that'd be pretty cool.
I mean, what kind of time frame are you talking about?
We're talking like 12.30.
Until when?
As long as you want, as long as you want.
And if you can come later?
Let me, well, I've stuck to check with Leah because we were going to run a couple errands today,
but there might still be a way to kind of fit that in.
Let me, let me, let me, let me, let me, let me, let me, let me, let me, let me, let me, let me, let me just do some due diligence here, and I will text you back and let you know.
Sounds good, do what you got.
If you want, we'll make it work with you.
Okay.
All right, thanks, buddy.
Have fun.
Bye.
Bye.
I kind of feel like now we should buy him a cake and Casey come out.
Just in case, right?
Just in case, be like, hey, we got a cake for you to celebrate it.
We get a green cake
We get a green cake
We're like
It's the X-Cast cake
We love him
We love him
Kevin's bringing up a good point
If we get a cake
Right now
That it actually like says
Like Gary has Gary's name on it
It'll feel like it was a plaid thing
Yeah
Absolutely
That's true
Actually
We fuck this up all the time
Specifically with Gary
I just remembered
And was at Pax West
Two XCass shirts
I'm coming down
The XClayter in one
Dude he was rocking
And I'm like yeah
That's amazing
Call of Duty event
XCast hat
The Xbox on team from across the pond was rep.
I was like, man, you guys are the best.
I love you.
You walk up to the guy and you're like,
oh, man, ex-guise.
He's like, I got this from a goodwill.
It was $5 from Roosterteeth.
Oh, my God.
I love it, man.
I love it in a PSI love you shirt.
A little real quick thing.
Thank you to our Patreon producers,
Carl Jacobs and Delaney Twining.
Today we're brought to you by the Dragon Age Vows
and Vengeance podcast and BetterHelp,
but we'll tell you all about that later.
The topic of the show is Mike's,
sorry, Tats, Tats,
It's Mike's crazy Call of Duty next stories.
Yes, this will include some hands-on preview thoughts of Call of Duty Black Op 6.
Yeah, a little bit.
But I'm just going to let Mike go.
And Paris, Roger, if you have any questions about the game or otherwise, feel free to ask him.
But Mike, you...
Let me take you on a ride.
You just did something very special, which is, you know, I feel like we're in a special moment here,
kind of funny, where we are moved on from the...
the having to work at home.
Events are starting to come back.
Paris was just at PACs.
Like that must have been like, what a thrill.
I've been in a PACs in almost a decade at this point,
which is crazy to think about because it used to be an annual thing.
But events are back.
Preview events are back.
I've been going to a couple.
Roger just went to one in Japan, which is,
which is like as big as it gets, right?
But meanwhile, Mike is in Washington, D.C.
For an Activition Call of Duty event,
Call of Duty space, no expense.
the biggest. Fuck it. So I want to know all about that experience, Mike.
You know what? To start off, we'll give out the pleasant trees right now.
Big flowers and thank you to Tim Gettys and Greg Miller,
hooking me up with the Call of Duty team. Thank you to Robert and his team who took great care of me
and we're so open to having us a kind of funny be represented at Codnex.
Because, of course, if you don't know Cod Next,
cod next is the big yearly event for Call of Duty to showcase the next Call of Duty in the line
and have hundreds of influencers and top content creators there to have fun and make a great experience.
And so the idea of kind of funny being involved and especially having me there was really a dream come true and an honor.
So thank you to everybody out there for the opportunity.
It was a blast, right?
And I want you know I made the best out of that opportunity.
Yes, you did, dude.
We had a great time out of D.C.
So to kick us off, Roger, as you know, I like to look my best.
At many events, I always think about what is Mike going to wear today?
What is the most money I could spend on the stupidest thing?
How do I elevate it?
So the Sunday before I went to D.C. Tim, I went to the mall.
And I got myself some gear.
Okay?
You can see a piece of this gear.
Did I go see the custom t-shirt man?
Oh, fuck, you actually did it.
And I gave him two pieces that I wanted custom made.
This one, the Pablo Sanchez T-shirt, the goat, created.
Not enough people respecting Pablo Sanchez when I wore it.
Two out of like a hundred people noticed it, which is crazy, right?
Crazy.
The pause.
The pause waiting for
wearing this shirt.
Let me tell you what, Tim.
That guy, he's making money.
Okay?
$12 a pop for a t-shirt.
I'm like, oh, that's a good deal.
$37 to put the design on.
Came out $95 for two t-shirts.
I said, God damn, that guy got me good.
Got me good.
But it was worth it.
Because I also have a sunny day
and Vinny the Gooch t-shirts.
Which, if you don't know,
Sunny Day is the backyard sports head commentator.
Vinnie the Gooch is the only backyard sports commentator to not return the following year,
possibly being fired.
That's a story for another day.
That's a backyard sports lore for you, Tim.
Okay.
They didn't know about.
So I upgraded my look, okay?
I've got some new cool fashion.
So by upgrading your look, you got two custom-made backyard sports t-shirt.
Not Call-A-Duty.
Yeah, okay.
Why don't you want to wear Call-A-Duty, you know, fake merch to call a duty event?
So I did my best not doing it.
So you wore fake merch for another brand.
Yes.
I could have been so big tautish and blazed in your chest.
That wouldn't be kind of dope.
But I did upgrade my look, Roger, because of course, if you saw the photos of me,
I wore the workwear.
That's what's hot right now.
That's what's in style, Tim.
Everybody loves the Carhart, the Ben Davis.
And so, of course, you can see this.
And our photo, our camera's blocking that, but I had the Timberlins on.
Bro, real talk.
You're wrong to this.
I like this look for you.
You look like such a divorced dad on Tinder for the first time, like taking a selfie.
But that's only because of the pose.
But also the outfit, it's a good outfit.
It's a great outfit for where I'm going, thank you, Rod.
Looking down the off, accentuating the chins.
Like, what do you do?
Like, maybe the worst pose possible.
Dad bod, okay, don't worry about it.
That wasn't supposed to go out.
to the public, okay, Rod. That wasn't for the
public consumption right there. What does that
mean? Well, it's just like, I'm not sending that out on
Tinder, you know what I mean? That's just like
for the boys. I said that to Chris saying it, just
let him know, upgrade the look.
Gotcha, gotcha. In case you didn't know,
we're public right now.
Okay, okay, okay, cool.
You thought this is just the same now.
And so,
there I was, the opportunity of a lifetime
and experience of a lifetime. We're going to say that
a lot because it was a really awesome one
heading out to D.C. And a couple
of the best friends were like, yo, are we going to have an opportunity to meet Snowbike Mike?
Like, where is he? And I was like, oh, I don't know if I want to like say meet me here.
I don't have much time. You look at the itinerary and Activision had us doing everything every day,
every hour was booked out, which was really awesome. So I was on the plane and I was like,
do I tell people to meet me at the Capitol or not, right? Because if you think about it, you go from
the Capitol, you walk down the mall. We were going to have a nice little walk. It was going to be a
beautiful walk on the DC mall.
I thought, you know what? Maybe.
And then, Tim, as I flew in...
Meet me at the Capitol.
Mike is such a sweet, innocent boy.
You know what I mean? Like, doesn't think about it.
It's a cool little place.
You know, and then we'll take a walk, right?
And it worked, Tim.
I put it on the tweet. I said, meet me at the
Capitol at 630. We're taking a walk, right?
We're taking a walk.
And so the best part is, is as you know, Tim,
one, I've become a very big solo traveler.
Two, I like to take walks by myself,
so I'm not really accustomed to having other people there.
So what did I do, Roger?
I said, meet me at 6.30.
Immediately at 635, I start walking, right?
Didn't wait for anybody.
Don't care.
I left that location.
So now the kids are looking for me.
It's like, where's Waldo, right?
So I want to give a shout out to three kind of funny best friends
who found me on the walk, okay?
Just out of it.
Did you tell them that you're going on a walk?
walk.
Uh-huh.
I said,
Meet me at the Capitol.
We're going to walk to the Lincoln Monuments.
You follow me there.
And sure shit, one kid rolled up on a lime scooter.
It was like snow bike bike.
And I'm like, you made it.
Welcome to the meet.
Oh, I'm sorry.
So you tweeted, hey, meet me at the Capitol.
Uh-huh.
Right.
And then did you say another tweet?
Hey, I'm going for a walk.
No, no.
At 635, I walked away.
No.
But did you tell them, hey, I'm going for a walk.
No, no.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
The walk was made it.
The walk was part of the tweet.
Yeah, the tweet said,
So you're like, hey, meet me at the Capitol.
I'm going to walk away from the Capitol.
What was the tweet?
The tweet said,
Meet me at the Capitol at 6.30.
We're going to take a walk.
You can find me between here and the Lincoln Memorial.
I guarantee you there's not.
Was there that much detail?
You can find me between here and here.
Tim?
Three garrones sound me, so they figured it out.
Mike,
I do.
There's so much to break down here.
But something that scares me.
I'm going to be honest,
is you just say,
like, he pulls up with a live scooter.
and like you just looked at him
you looked at me acting like the interaction
and he just went, you found me
like you're really Wonka with the golden
fucking ticket like you found me
good luck, good job
for a game they didn't know they were playing
and they didn't have to find me eventually
the best was one of them
shout to Punkified out there
we all know Punkified
great kind of funny best friend
he's trying to reach me via DMs
which I never read and he's like
where are you and I'm already halfway down the walk
I'm like, oh, we're at the Washington Monument now.
I'm already at the, I'm at the goddamn White House by that time.
So this guy, he's just chasing me down the road.
Good for him.
You did it.
You did a great job.
And so.
What are you thinking?
What is the reason behind this?
Did you want people to just find you or you like add too many people?
I want to offer them a nice time to take a walk with me, enjoy the history.
We would have a fun, we'd have a fun conversation on this beautiful walk.
But only three people found you.
Well, there's only, you know, that's fine.
I only draw three people.
I'm not that big, Roger.
I'm not a big name.
I have to pause you for slice.
seconds you bring up punctified.
I'm walking randomly down the streets of Seattle this weekend.
Yeah.
Who finds me?
Pungified.
Oh.
I love them.
Love them.
Shout out to that guy.
And so there I am on this beautiful walk.
Of course,
if you are an audio listener,
you are seeing photos from my little walk that I took from the White House to the monument.
And there's me with the best friends right there.
I have Tyler over from IGN.
Tyler was my road dog.
You're going to hear a lot about Tyler.
Of course, as many of you know,
When you go to these events, a lot of people click up.
They circle up with the people they know it's comforting.
It's easy for you to do that.
And so I got really lucky with my road dog, Tyler from IGN,
where me and Tyler, Tyler has the understanding.
He understands Mike.
You let Mike fly when he needs to fly, Tim.
And you know this well.
I do.
We chat, we talk, we tap up.
And then Mike's going to walk away from you because he's going to go introduce himself
to about a thousand people.
And either you're riding with him or you're going to let him just be Mike.
Let him fly.
And Tyler, you were incredible all weekend long.
So shout out to my guy Tyler.
Tyler will come up on a lot of stories.
And so.
I was an OG.
Had a great meet and great.
Took about the dinner at founding farmers.
Fantastic dinner.
Look quick, Mike.
There was a picture that you took of the White House.
Yeah.
Did you ever in your life think that you would be that close to the White House?
No.
You know, I went here in eighth grade.
Oh, so back in the day, eighth grade, we had a summer trip to D.C.
And it's like, why do you take eighth graders to D.C.?
They're not going to remember anything.
All they want to talk about is cute girls.
and the Nelly CD that they just got.
Like, none of this was on my itinerary in life.
And now here I am enjoying D.C., which turns out beautiful city, incredible space to live.
If you live in the Washington, D.C. area, congratulations.
You have a great spot to be.
I'm very proud of you.
So, Roger, that's the story.
I arrive in D.C.
We're at the Watergate Hotel, which is, of course, famous for the big Nixon, Nixon,
and Watergate investigation, all the scandal that happened there.
We gotta go back a little bit
Because my favorite thing about this
Is that what do you want me to tell you what happened
And I just love that you just say all this shit
As if you know what the fuck you're talking about
My favorite thing about this
I'm telling you the scandal happened
Before this all happened right
When we're setting up he's going to call of duty next right
He's like oh he's telling me about this
He's like oh they're gonna have me stay at the water gate
He looks at me and I'm like oh wow it's like
I don't know what that is I've never heard of that
I was like what is that slapy I'm like I'm not gonna tell you
I'm not going to explain the one-of-date scandal to you.
So at least you learned something.
You know, Roger?
Watch a couple YouTube videos on the plane, learned all about it.
That's sick.
There's a little tour.
Me and Tyler, we found the room.
They have a big placard on the room.
The room.
The room.
And you know, what a scandal.
What an interesting one, right?
I don't know of you guys know.
But it was just a folly of airs, right?
Like, the wildest part about this was some Giboni was trying to break in.
And the lady who lived across the street saw them breaking in,
started shining the flashlight at him.
It was a whole panel.
thing. They would have got away with it, but you know
what? Just a bunch of your ownies.
What a scandal. What a stand. What a time to be
shocked if the YouTube video
watched was called Watergate, a folly of errors. Yeah, for real.
Because that's what I'm saying phrase, Mike,
where'd that come from? That's from my guy, Robert. Thank you, Robert, for that one.
And so, a whole lot of fun. So here's the deal. We arrive
at D.C. We arrive at the Watergate.
All the influencers are there. And I'm going to say a lot of names and I'm sure
our audience doesn't know, but our big
Call of Duty influencers and streamers,
TikTokers, the whole shebang.
It was really cool to be around a lot
of content creators of that level, right?
But we arrive at the Watergate,
and of course, Activision has gone above and beyond.
They have decked out the players room,
which has a cool locker vault area
where we're all getting swag,
stuff like that.
They have a ping pong table,
a place to sit and relax,
but then downstairs they've taken over
and created the Call of Duty Lounge,
which has a streaming booth,
So if you have to stream while you're off, you can stream during your downtime, which was really cool.
They have the 3D scanner to become your own action figure, and they have cool little photo booth set up.
So I arrive.
Unfortunately, I missed the 3D action figure timing, but they were going to be open the next day.
And we have a small window, as you know, and they were like, hey, we're going to be open from 8 to noon.
And then at noon we head out, but people are signing up.
Like, you might want to be there early.
So what did I do, Paris?
his first one there.
745, Tim.
I'm in front of the 3D scanner,
ready to go.
And they scanned me.
And I want you know,
Chris Anka,
you got a snowbike mic action figure
coming to your door.
That was a threat, Chris.
And so that was really dumb.
They teamed me up.
Incredible.
The full call of duty gear on,
I have a baseball bat.
I got tactical gear on,
full 3D scanner to make into an action figure.
It was really,
really an awesome activation.
Psychopathic behavior, right?
Like to, like, do that,
get a once-in-a-life
lifetime action figure and be like, I'm going to send it to Krasnka.
To my best friend, my war zone partner, okay, the weapons arbiter, the man that I've spent
300 plus hours and called him.
I'm a giver, Roger, okay?
You're a selfish lover.
And so, going on, Tim, of course, day one was rehearsals.
And, Kevin, we're going to get up to some videos here that have the entrance.
They said, dress camera ready.
Be ready because we're going to take a lot of footage.
the prep day. This is where I was talking with Home Base with Kevin and Barrett on sending the signal
over from Call of Duty next to here, but they were like dress camera ready. It's our first time
seeing what we're going to do. Man, y'all, it was the coolest. Five buses, all decked out
and Call of Duty Black Ops. We had a motorcade with motorcycles all decked out and Black Ops,
and we drove down the DC Mall right to the museum. And Kevin, show them the video. If you're a video
watch, you're going to want to see how cool
this team did. I told me the numbers.
Remember? I got you. I got you. You're on the next
number right there. You just showed
the cafe, go to the next one.
So you don't have the next one.
Right there. So they had eight.
Didn't expect that. 20 foot tall
zombie monster
right there that's in the National, or
in the Guinness World Book of Records.
Now, so really cool activation.
And then they have us walking
in right there on this tweet that Kevin will show.
A big orange carpet.
Everyone coming out of the buses, smiling, having a good time.
Every content creator you could imagine right there.
Met them all.
Had a really good time with a lot of people.
I'll give some shoutouts in a minute.
And this would look like walking in.
The coolest event around.
I love that you guys are just stunned looking at this.
That's how it was.
That's how it was.
So fucking much, Mike.
Like, I can't even imagine how excited you were at every second of this entire thing.
I was a kid in a candy shop, right?
I was on the bus with Legion, Ames, and Dr. Lupo.
You know, they were all very nice.
They were awesome to talk with me.
My road dog, Tyler was there.
I had made friends, close friends, with tactical grandma and Jay Brosky at this point.
Me and Jay Brookesky really tight.
If you haven't seen Jay Brookesky,
Jay Browski's a really fun content creator that really uses the proximity chat in fun ways.
And so I highly encourage if you ever want a good laugh, check out Jay Browski.
Of course, many of you know Tactical Grandma.
And if you don't, she's incredible.
but me and her, you know, we can't be in the sun too long.
She's got a sun allergy and I'm just pale white.
So we sat in the shade a lot together, which was very nice, you know.
We spent a lot of time together, which was amazing.
And so those were some of the creators I got to hang out with.
So creator-wise, like obviously you're just naming a bunch of people.
Yeah, yeah.
I do not know.
I'm unfamiliar with.
It's a totally different world.
But this is the world that you live in.
Uh-huh.
I look over at your screen all the time.
You are watching these people.
You love this stuff.
This, you love meeting people.
You love people, period.
Did you get to meet and have the experiences with these people that you would hope and dream for?
Yeah.
A couple of Jibronies, I'll shout out, Stone Mountain and Tim the Tapman,
because we teamed up the next day during the Cod event.
So the Cod event the next day was we played multiplayer, we played zombies, we played Warzone.
And so I had gotten into Tim's lobby and we were going to play a game together.
And you know me.
I'm jazzed up.
Anytime I see someone's name I recognize, I'm like, oh, man, Tim the Tadman,
we about the squad up, here we go.
He immediately leaves the game.
And I was like, all right, Tim, you stink on that one.
Shout out, you know what I mean?
They wanted to just play with their friends.
It's cool, right?
And then on zombies, I got with Stone Mountain.
And if you don't know Stone Mountain, he makes great content,
a whole lot of fun from Stone Mountain.
And I thought, oh, man, me and Stone Mountain are going to have a really good time in zombies, right?
Talking to Stone Mountain, he starts talking.
I'm like, oh, this is crazy.
We're going to have a 20-minute experience.
Me and Stone Mountain leaves the game.
I'm like, all right, that's great, you know what I mean?
No, big deal.
Are they leaving the game because you're talking in the chat?
No, they want to play with their friends.
So, like, a lot of it was like, you only have 40 minutes to play these certain game modes.
So you're creating content.
You want to spend it with your friends, right?
Especially with zombies where you can do so much.
Like, I'll talk about zombies.
Me and Paris got to already preview one of the maps.
I got to play the second map.
Call of Dude Blackop Six zombies is the zombies you want to jump into.
If you are a veteran zombie player, if you're a new zombie player,
these two maps at launch are a ton of fun to play.
Terminus is a really dark, gritty, scary,
jail out in the sea on an island type map
that old school zombies are going to love.
And then this newer map called Liberty Falls is a lot of fun.
It's bright.
It's in this beautiful town.
It has a lot of lanes that you can run in and out of
that give like a beginner a good feeling of like,
hey, I have room to breathe.
I'm not trapped in this confined space.
And I think I can get it going.
And so that was really cool.
of like getting to see the second map
and experiencing that.
Me and Paris talked about at the preview,
how they have the guided mode.
So if you're not like a super zombies fan,
but you want to beat the zombies experience
or you want a little more like handholdy,
hey, let me help you with this.
The guided mode is for you.
And so, yeah, getting to see both maps
was super dope.
But no one was talking during that, which is fine.
Okay.
But that leads me to the war zone.
Okay?
War zone is where I wanted to shine.
That's all that mattered to me
was we get to see.
the new map, which is Area 99.
Base, Tim, of course, you know Nook Town, right?
Area 99 is themed as the creation plant for Newtowns around the globe.
So they have the mannequin factory.
They have the actual Newtown city set up.
And so it's building this giant factory that will send the new towns out to different areas.
And so I got to play the new map, right?
And there I am every time, yo squad, let's do this thing.
Put some pings down.
Let's have some fun.
No one talking.
until if you were watching the stream
until I met Shady
and Optic Sebas
Optic Sebas and Shady
both vived with me immediately.
So sorry, I want to get you up here
because for people that didn't watch the stream
like you're doing a great job explaining all this topic
because there's a lot going on.
A lot going on.
But the setup was pretty damn sweet
where it was essentially a giant room
with like a bunch of streaming pod setup
similar to how we have the lab setup.
Thank you, Kevin. This is a great picture.
Thank you.
Everyone with their own
camera and like lights.
Like they really were trying to allow everyone to stream live from the event to show
off their experience as it was happening, which is I think a great understanding of the
product that they have with Call of Duty.
Yeah, we didn't get to talk about this during the setup day, but like we're jumping all
over the place, but the setup was beautiful.
If you got to watch the stream on the Call Duty side or our side on kind of funny, you saw
that this Activision team went above and beyond decking out this space and making it so
unique and cool. It was a beautiful building. It had over 250 streaming stations, a main stage,
a secondary stage, Robert Griffin, the third. RG3 was walking around with the microphone with their
hosting team. You had Golden Boy and Miles holding down the desk with different Call of Duty
developers. You had me front row with two cameras for reactions and stuff. We even got on the
Call of Duty main Twitter page. So like, when you talk about the setup, it was grand. It was a spectacle. It was
truly amazing to be like, wow.
Because I got to meet some of the team of like who put that on.
And it's wild to see like that team thought about that.
This is year three for them.
So they've been doing it.
But to create that space to have it so well done,
to have over 250 people live streaming, sucking up internet,
gameplay, microphones, cameras,
all to go off without a hitch.
Like the biggest issue that happened was my section,
lost power twice.
And that happened for five minutes maximum.
The whole thing worked.
right everybody was streaming to their different spots
everybody had internet everybody was connected having fun
it was a beautiful thing to see
and I just loved it because you were there
next to all of your favorite streamers all streaming
the same time and you're streaming from Washington DC
to our Twitch channel
and Mike I've never seen you happier
just seeing him on the
like everyone all the stories he's telling about this
you can watch on the archive of the
the stream video from last
week you can check it on YouTube.com slash kind of funny games
So keep that as like a little supplemental video to check out.
Go check it out because it was a blast, right?
And so, you know, to go back to it, it's like, yeah, I get to meet everybody.
Golden Boy recognizes me instantly.
He comes up.
He's on the stream, right?
Miles comes up.
He's seen us over at zombies.
He comes and talks to us.
I have from AMP, which I know a lot of our audience won't know, but we're talking about Duke Dennis,
Phantom, Agent Kaisenat, right?
Like some of the biggest names in the streaming world.
I got teamed up with Phantom and Duke.
We had a ton of fun.
Agent came up and actually got to go on the stream and chop it up with him.
So, like, it was really cool to have, like, some of the biggest names recognize us and come up and talk to the community, which was wild to think about.
So, yeah, I did a great job on that front, Tim, making friends.
I love you.
And I want to go back to the stream itself really quick for Warzone.
But before you do that, though, before you talk about Warzone, Mike, let's talk to you from word from our sponsors.

Got you.
Tim, back to it, though.
Want to give a shout to my two boys before we get lost in the sauce again.
Because there I was all afternoon long, looking for my squad, looking for my people,
who would vibe with the energy, who would bounce off the energy and go out and get a win.
And so Roger asked about multiplayer.
We started with that.
Multiplayer is just fun, frantic, insane.
We're playing.
Yeah, we're playing all the game modes and the beta that you currently have played, hopefully.
But we're just playing.
We're jumping.
until after every game, you get a new squad.
So you don't really get that synergy going,
but you have fun moments of like Mike yelling at Phantom and Duke Dennis,
and they're yelling back at me and we're laughing,
teaming up against swag.
And it's like some of the craziest moments, right?
These are the largest call of duty content creators ever,
and I'm bumping into them.
We're laughing and having a good time, right?
And so multiplayer is hard to find a rhythm,
but we had fun doing it.
And the gameplay is phenomenal.
Omni movement is crazy.
Tell me about it.
Like, does it actually,
feel different. Yeah. Okay. Fast, fluid, dolphin diving, left, right, center, backwards, Tim,
360 and then you could also use somebody as a meat shield, as a body shield, so you walk up
behind them and you double tap them with melee, and then all of a sudden you put them in a chokehole
and you run around as body armor with them. And they're alive? Oh yeah, and then you kill them
eventually, but it's wild, Tim. It's really, really fun. And so yeah, I hope that the audience is
enjoying the beta over this past week, because I loved every moment that I got to play for multiplayer. And
then into zombies, like I said, that was, got to level 20, had a good couple of moments.
I got up on the Call of Duty official Twitter because I mowed down these.
I put, Tim, I leveled this gun up and pack a punch to 400 bullets and just,
just mowing them down.
It was so cool.
And so then we got to Ward Zone.
You made the Twitter, Mike.
How'd that feel?
Yeah.
I mean, that was a day I'll never forget, a moment I'll never forget.
I love it.
I'll never forget it.
Called my mom up at that moment.
It's right.
Did you really?
Yeah.
We have actually some really funny.
videos that I'll show from the stream because there was so much that went into this week.
It was wild.
And so, um, going back really quick for the multiplayer.
Was there any specific like fun new modes or is it just kind of like, hey, it's the traditional
modes that we know.
And then you have Omni movement on top of that.
No, we didn't see any new modes.
I mean, just vary the basic stuff.
Any cool maps?
Yeah, yeah.
I mean, they're coming out with what, 13 or 18 brand new maps on day one.
So you have a lot of content there, right?
And so that was zombies plus a new war zone map.
It feels like the big package and the campaign.
which we haven't seen yet, which I'm excited to see as well.
Any cool maps that you liked in the multiplayer?
Oh yeah, all of them, right?
I love every single one of them, Roger.
Yeah, yeah.
I mean, all of them feel fresh.
I know a lot of people don't like the new, I think it's derail,
but it's the one, it's a smaller one with all the trains.
People aren't vibing with that, but I like that.
I like it all.
There's the house one where you can find the super secret bookcase entrance
for the shortcut underneath the house,
and you can throw people into the bookcase
and it will shut on them and murder them.
Pretty dope, Roger.
Pretty dope.
It's really good times.
I'll see you in the beta tonight, Roder.
I'm gonna play.
No, the beta's over.
No, the open beta.
Now the open beta.
Is it tonight?
Is it?
I don't know.
I'm just asking.
I know it's,
I know.
No, it's no.
It's no.
That's what Roger said to me.
As Roger goes, no, I don't know.
I don't know.
Rogers said that earlier.
I don't know.
But we'll play more of the beta this weekend.
But on Warzone, we got to see the new map.
Now this is here we go.
So it's the new smaller map.
It will take over Rebirth Island.
So we're not going big.
Yeah.
But of course,
if you watch the broadcast,
Danzka is coming back. So the
dance is coming back so you get a new big
map. But Area 99 is a
smaller map, right? It will use resurgence
so you'll be able to come back every single
time you die until a certain point or
your team gets wiped. I've told you about
the theming of Newk Town. It's very
like fallout meets call
of duty and Newtown mixed together.
So it's like a lot of browns
and some colors that jump out. A lot
like vintage look to it.
You'll notice it right off the bat of like
oh yeah, that's how it looks. That's how it feels.
But, like, there's some verticality to it.
There's 11 POIs, I believe.
There's one big tower in the middle that kind of like,
that's where you know you want to fight for the high ground.
But they have some really cool POIs all around the area.
But, of course, I was looking for teammates of, like,
who will vibe with me, who will go and pop off, right?
And so I found Shady and Optic Sabah.
No, Sebas.
Thank you so much.
And so you've probably seen Shady before.
He's the guy on TikTok who used to do the crazy
trick shots of throwing a motorcycle up in the air, 360 in, and then he would no-scope people
with the sniper rifle.
Some of the coolest stuff.
These guys, I say, yo, what up, boys?
Let's go get this W.
And we immediately click.
We're laughing.
We're screaming.
We're shouting.
My Twitch chat is now in their Twitch chats, trying to talk with them, trying to find out
where they're at so I can go see them.
We get into an insane final circle.
Two teams left.
It's three on one.
we run up to go get this guy for the win.
He merks all three of us.
We come back.
He calls his team back.
We get them.
They get us.
We're buying back.
We're going back and forth.
So like what felt like five minutes, an eternity in the war zone?
We were having the best time.
Then we lost.
But then immediately I was like, let's team up again.
We all teamed up.
Boom.
Friends for life.
It was an awesome experience.
Yeah, it was really great.
What do you want to know about the war zone?
I'll tell you.
So, as I've told you many times,
I've really not played war zone at all.
And I've watched you stream it and then I get jealous going,
man, I really want to get into this.
So now with Black Off 6, like you already said,
it's a smaller map.
They're bringing the one bigger map back as well.
What's the progression like in that?
So your weapons and things like that.
So if stuff I'm doing into multiplayer,
is that going to carry over weapon-wise in the war zone
and vice versa?
Yeah.
On the game side, it's really cool.
Of course, you have the call duty umbrella once again.
So everything that you do progression-wise will carry over.
from traditional multiplayer, zombies, and Call of Duty Warzone.
Everything will progress with you.
Everything will follow with you.
Of course, you also have to take into account Call Duty Warzone has a lot of old guns, right?
So that's not going to follow you into multiplayer because you're not using those.
But anything Call of Duty, Blackop Six-wise, will follow you across all three of those statements.
Okay, so you just answered a question from, sorry to turn this into Warzone, conversation.
No, I love it.
So there's weapons in Warzone that won't be in multiplayer.
Correct.
Yeah, those are older guns.
So modern warfare guns, those aren't going to be in the multiplayer that you know.
And then on that small of the Nooketown map, are vehicles?
No vehicles in Area 99.
Yeah, yeah, too small for vehicles.
Right, that's what I was wondering.
There's some vehicles in rebirth, but people rarely to never use them, right?
There's a couple helicopters, a couple of land vehicles.
There was none in Area 99 that we saw at this time.
But if you're listening, Call of Union Activision,
bring back the old helicopter that had a lot of mobility and was really fast.
I loved that.
And there's no,
there's no kill streaks or anything like that in Warzone.
Score streaks.
Not in,
Warzone,
no.
And multiplayer,
you'll have score streaks now is what they've gone back to.
In Warzone,
you can buy certain,
like,
per,
or kill packages,
we'll call it,
that your cluster strikes,
your precision air strikes,
you buy those.
And then the classic prestige is back.
Is back.
But it's per mode,
right?
So there's a prestige for Warzone,
a prestige for multiplayer.
No,
I took it as it's all,
it's across the,
So no matter what you're doing,
we're going to add to that.
And classic,
that's cool.
Classic Prestige.
That's how many people would really want with the modern
college duty.
Oh, they're super excited about that, too.
And of course, you know classic prestige if you played the old
Call Duties where you get to the max level and you have the choice to press
stage or not.
Hold on to everything you got or restart.
Right.
And so you build off of that,
but you get the cool new icon.
So that'll happen.
Answer a question for me because I'm looking at the chat.
Someone's saying score streaks suck, prefer kill streaks.
I'm a score streak.
What's the difference?
I'm a score.
streak guy because I die a lot. So kill streaks
are you can't die. You have to build
off of that. Score streaks are you
build off of your score. So your
eliminations all build into a score at a certain
amount of points during that score streak.
You'll unlock certain different items.
And it's also like going on point or
things like that. You know what? I don't like
that. I'd rather have the kill streaks.
No, no. Because I'm bad. Because
with the kill streaks, and look, I'm not good.
But I feel like I've earned
it. Yes. With the kill streaks,
whereas the score streaks is just more of
culmination.
Timing thing.
Well, I mean,
score streets are more
like, yeah,
to get people on objective,
right?
Because like,
I feel like,
I feel like I loved
Mount War for two.
I love Kill Streaks,
but then,
man,
you play domination
and people are just in the corner
and not actually playing.
Right, right.
Yeah,
yeah, yeah,
exactly.
And speaking of kills and score streaks,
got to give a big shout out
to two of my friends content creators,
Trey and Jay,
the two brothers,
dropping the first ever nuke in Call of Duty
Blackop Six live on Call of Duty next.
I saw it.
Live on Call of Duty next.
So,
nukes are back.
Yeah,
Nukes are back and I know Trey and J.
Well, fully end the game.
Fully end the game. You become the nuke and he blows up.
No. That's really cool. It's really cool.
What other squirreys?
You have the R-C-X-D back.
Oh.
Tomahawks are back, but that's just a lethal item, but I love Tomahawks.
Who doesn't love that, you know what I mean?
And so, yeah, you have some cool stuff to look at Roger.
You're not going to have a good time in the video.
I know the answer is no, but I just got to ask it.
Can I gamble?
Is the gambling from Black Ops one?
Oh, I don't know.
I don't know about that.
Blackups one, yeah, you can put, you can put cod points, wherever they called it.
I forget what they called it.
And then you would play, like, gun game or like sticks and stones.
And then you would gamble.
And if you win, you get more points.
Oh, who loves that.
So yeah, shout to Trey and Jay.
Of course.
As a child.
If you've never looked up Trey and J, they're incredible.
I knew them back in the day when I was doing NBA 2K community events and they were
big time 2K streamers.
Those two brothers have a really cool setup of they stream together in the same room,
on the same stream.
they have it split differently of there's two cameras with both their faces and they go similar
to what Kevin does here with oh we'll be on Trey's cam or then we'll be on J's cam or oh we're doing
split screen so you can see both of them they've gotten really creative on how they stream as two
brothers living together and then they've actually branched out of just 2K into so much more so now
they're known for Call of Duty uh I believe Trey is currently doing um multi versus tournaments
so if you like multiverses they've done a really good job and they actually were the first one
to get a nuke.
And it was really cool to be like,
oh, I know those guys.
And, like, stand up and celebrate them was awesome.
Similar to when I got to celebrate with my two boys in Warzone,
like seeing them and being around them was really, really dope.
So, yeah, it was a great experience meeting people.
So the new Warzone, all these maps, that's all available day one.
They're not staggering it or anything, right?
Warzone or Call Duty multiplayer.
The Warzone.
I'm talking to the new map.
Area 99 will be there day one.
Yeah.
And the old map, the big map will be there day one.
to? Verdansk? No, Verdansk is in like season one
later on. So yeah, you won't see that until the spring I bet.
So you'll have some fun there. But Tim, back to it because there's a lot that
happened as well. There was a call of duty wedding that I was a part of. And I need to
show you this call of duty wedding because it was beautiful and it was a wild
situation. So after day one of our testing over at the museum, we all
got back on the buses and went to the Spy Museum, which was this beautiful building,
awesome setup that we had a big party up on the roof.
And everybody's vibe and we're all talking.
We're getting drinks and join the D.C. sun as it's about to set.
And out of nowhere, people come up and they're like, hey, get over here.
Get over here.
And you're like, we're just talking.
It's like, no, no, get ready.
And then out of nowhere the microphone comes on, ladies and gentlemen, we'd like to introduce you
to our first ever call of duty wedding.
If you'd please come over and gather.
And out of nowhere, here comes the groom, here comes the bride.
and we are looking off beautiful sunset,
looking at the Capitol building,
and these two are saying their vows,
and we are all celebrating a beautiful call-duty wedding
with the call-of-duty DJ and his soon-to-be wife
where they met over proximity chat in game lobby.
It was...
That's adorable.
This guy who put on the wedding ceremony was as good as Greg.
And I know that's tough to say,
because Greg is amazing,
but this guy had every call-of-duty pun in the backpocket.
from killstreaks to campaigning forever, your duo partner.
It was on and snapping.
It was so much fun.
I don't know how I feel about a sponsored wedding, though.
You know what I mean?
I feel like this might be like, because I was like,
I was talking with the call to duty reps and I was like, man,
have you ever done this?
It's like so crazy.
I've never been a part of this.
And then I looked at the guy was like, actually, I was at a wedding brought to me in
video.
That's crazy.
And he laughed at me.
And I was like, yeah, it's so fun.
And so we did a call duty web.
the night before.
Then we had the big event.
That's awesome.
It was cool.
And I love that this college dude
went all in to help out
and make it all happen.
Like what a cool event.
And you know what?
It was so interesting of like
the first three minutes
as we were in set up mode.
Everybody was like,
what's going on?
Why are we doing this?
And like nobody was on board.
And then once we set it up
and everybody was like in place
and we had flowers flying in the air,
every content creator turned
and was like,
that's fun.
I'm in.
Right?
Because like there was a moment
we were like,
don't interrupt the party.
We're fine.
To oh snap.
This was a lot of fun.
That's a massive game.
That's a massive game.
Yeah, to be like, hey, we're going to surprise a wedding onto a bunch of influencers and just hope
that everyone's going to buy it.
And you know what?
They all bought it.
That's awesome.
We celebrated.
We clapped.
We cheered.
We threw flowers and we danced right afterwards and had a ton of fun.
Hell yeah.
That's incredible.
Great job on that one.
And so that was night one.
And then, of course, day two was the big stream event, which we showed a lot of that.
Kevin, I would love for you to bring up.
Let me get you the number for you.
Because a lot of people know, a number two,
12, Tim Gettys, you and I talk about sun safety and sun protection.
Oh, no.
As I was streaming in this beautiful venue, 249 people had a perfect setup with no sun.
There was one Gibroni that had sun blaring in his face for four straight hours.
And it was me, Tim.
And I battled through the sun.
Mike, I need to let you know that I kind of funny.
We have big TVs and kind of all around the studio that are showing like what's live, what's
happening either in the studio or if you're remote.
And so I'm constantly looking over you.
I'm doing my emails, doing my work, looking up, seeing you having fun out there.
And I saw the light.
I didn't realize it was actually the sun.
I thought that there was just some problem with like stage lights or something.
There's a perfect sunlight.
There's a perfect little window up on the roof that at 5 o'clock when we first showed up
for tech testing, I was like, oh, cool, like it's not going to be in my face.
It's five o'clock now.
We're doing this at noon.
There's no way any sun will come at me.
thinking, oh, I'm going to be fine.
The next day we show up at noon, we start everything.
It's cool.
20 minutes in, the sun is now in.
And it's on me the whole entire time.
The chat is laughing at me.
Of course.
Shout out to all of our audience out there.
Two things.
One, okay?
They were like, get Mike a hat.
That was the running theme and the laugh, right?
Two, y'all got me again.
Okay, y'all have called me Nigel Thornberry in the past.
Today, you attacked my workwear,
and you said that I looked like I worked at O'Reilly's, okay?
That shit got me.
So shout out to the chat for having too much fun.
I thought it looked great in the Ben Davis workwear,
but they got me on that one.
I think you do too.
I agree.
Fuck them.
I think you looked great too.
I just didn't like that image.
But I was watching the intro of it.
They asked me,
so another good one here is I got really lucky
because I dressed up nice
and I was meeting people.
Call of Duty and the Activision team asked me
a number of times to be a part of some promotional images,
some interviews.
And of course, I was like,
this is a dream come true.
I'm having the best time of my life.
Heck yeah.
So they were like,
Mike, come over here.
Will you do the call of duty pose?
And I was like, I don't know what that is.
And they're like, yeah, you know what that is.
And I was like, sir, I don't know what a hadukin is.
I don't know what that is.
And they're like, you know it.
It's with the guns.
And then I looked down and I go, I know that pose.
And then I did the pose.
And it was sick, y'all.
It was really cool.
It was sick, y'all.
And so number 13 and 14,
Kavre really quick before we get into the final.
day. Just want to shout out to my war zone boys.
These are my boys right here.
So the coolest part was the chat is now blowing up.
Mike, he's dressed in yellow. I'm screaming on the mic.
Boys, where are you? We're all standing up looking for each other in this massive sea of
just lights, cameras, tech, people, right? And I'm yelling, where are my war zone boys?
And I got to meet them in person.
That's awesome. Shout to my squad, made friends for life on that.
That's awesome. It was really, really cool. You can see on the second to last.
night here. We had a beautiful rooftop
bar. We all were at.
Spider-Man jumped off that before. I told
Greg, I said Spider-Man was here.
You know, just want you to know. Spidey's been
here. And so, yeah, it was really cool
to meet everyone, have some fun.
I'm really lucky and honored for that
one. And so the final day, you
have the opportunity to leave or
Call of Duty is hooked up with Polaris
to put the Polaris razor
into the Call of Duty
video games. And so we had
and I'm a graduate of it,
the call of duty Polaris operator academy.
And so we went out to a town in the middle of nowhere,
Tim,
just south of Washington,
D.C. for about an hour and 15 minutes.
And we ripped.
We had call of duty summer camp,
three activities,
one full day of fun with call of duty and Polaris.
So you can see that's the Polaris razor.
Okay,
that is currently in the game happening right now.
Mike,
I've been following,
you've been naming all these fucking people
that I've never heard of.
I'm like,
okay,
I get what you're,
you're saying, and then all of a sudden you're like, there's another day with Polaris
Razors. I'm like, what the fuck are you talking about? And then you pull out a diploma.
I graduated the Call of Duty Polaris Academy.
Oh my God. We went out and had an afternoon of fun. First off, we got to throw axes and
knives, which was dope. Then we got to go to the Razor RCXD racetrack. And so Call of Duty
customized four of these awesome RC cards to the Call of Duty Razor specs. And we
race them in groups of twos, and the winner from each group, because there was four groups,
will have this sent to their house.
So they won RC cars.
Now, I'm not going to blame Tyler.
Really, it was my fault, but, like, we didn't make it past the first round.
I don't want to say it was Tyler's fault because he wasn't good.
But, like, it was my fault.
I was really bad.
Tyler did a really good job, and I messed up really bad.
And we didn't get the way because I really wanted that RCXD car.
And so then to finish it off, of course, as I'm saying, Polaris makes.
these big off-road vehicles. This is called
the Razor. The Razor will be
in the Call of Duty War's own maps and
in the game, right? And so what they did
was, is they took us out to the track
and we got to rip
in the Call of Duty Razor. Now, I didn't
get to drive it, which was unfortunate because I would
have, there's two options, Tim. One,
set a track record, or two,
flip that thing.
Two options. Two options. There's nowhere between
of what would have happened if I'd taken the wheel
of that vehicle. I've told the story before.
but it was for an IGN project
we did years ago.
I forget even what it was.
It was some weird sponsored thing
where it was like extreme sports,
video game edition.
I don't fucking know.
Me and Nick and Max Schovel
and Brian Altano were sent
to the middle of nowhere deserts
and they gave us these dune buggies
to like race.
But one of us had to drive
and one of us had to play
Forza Motorsport or like
some like off-roading game
while they're driving.
So it's like I'm playing
while Nick's driving
and like Altano's playing
while Max was driving
and uh,
I'm gonna get parts of this wrong,
but if I remember correctly,
Max didn't have a driver's license
and, like, didn't know how to drive.
He was just in a situation.
We were like, oh, no, this is easy.
You should be fine.
And we go off these jumps.
It was the most dangerous thing we've ever done.
I can't believe we didn't get more hurt.
But Max straight up went off a thing and flipped.
Like, he flipped the dune buggy,
and it was like, holy shit, things just got really real here.
And also all the games fucking broke.
We fake that entire thing.
Like, no way we were actually playing.
There was all this footage of us like,
ah, I was like, no, dude.
It did not work at all.
It was amazing, Tim.
And so I had said, you know, there's two things.
If I get behind the wheel, what will happen?
And so when I found out I wasn't driving, a little led down, but I looked at, I spotted
the four drivers.
And I was like, who's going to take this to the limit with me?
Because in life, you have the opportunity.
You can either tell them, hey, take it slow.
I don't want to have a heart attack on this.
Or we can test and see if I'm healthy or not.
And I can tell that man to send it, Roger.
And so I found out that the track time right now, they've been running at about
seven minutes for a lap.
I look down the moment I get in, I go, I hear the track time of seven.
Let's see if we can beat that.
And he goes, let's do 6.30.
And I said, fuck yeah, bro.
Tim, this man, there's moments in the video that I sent to Kevin where we are going so fast
that my helmet and goggles start to shoot up in the air because we are flying at about
80 miles an hour around this track, just getting after it.
So there's the dirt, like dirt bike track course that you would normally say.
then we went deep into the trees and got really technical
where it was tight turns.
He's going like 40 in between these trees.
Then we finished on the jump lines.
And I was like, man, get some air, bro.
So I had, Roger, I could have said take it slow
or I wanted you to push it to the limit
and see if I'd have a heart attack.
Oh, my God.
This is insane, dude.
Great footage.
And so, yeah, we had a great time
just ripping for about.
Oh, yeah, I was screaming out and the whole time.
Clapping, screaming.
It was a great time, man.
This is, oh, man, he was going so fast.
It was so cool.
This is awesome.
So, yeah, and then on top of that, of course, you know,
wouldn't be a call-duty event without some dope swag.
So when we arrived at the Polaris event,
we got these awesome call-duty backpacks.
And as many of you know, I'm getting off of single-use plastic water bottles.
And I've dedicated myself to having a water bottle.
And Call-Duty got me a special one with my name on it.
My name on it.
And so that was pretty dope.
Thank you for the water bottle, y'all.
I'm pretty excited about that one.
is right. Pretty dope.
And so that concludes
Call of Duty summer camp.
At that point, we were supposed to go home, Tim.
That's Thursday. And I know many of you
watching and listening know that Andy was really
missing me. Andy was like, where's
Mike? He's been gone all week.
I just want to hang out with my best friend. And I was like,
Andy, I'm trying to come home to you
right now, I promise. But
D.C. and Mother Nature
had different plans. Of course. And so
there was, at about
6 o'clock getting ready for an 8 o'clock flight.
and weather started to come in.
There was rumor that like, hey, flights are getting delayed, be ready.
And I was supposed to leave the Watergate at 8 o'clock.
My flight was at 10 o'clock, then got pushed to 11.
And so I was like, hey, front desk, can we push my driver back an hour or so?
And I'll just watch the Cue Buffalo's game.
And they're like, no, this is the last car.
Like, I was like, that's fine.
I'll just jump on it, right?
So me and two boys drive out to the airport.
And we're seeing on the big board, delay, delay, delay, cancel.
everything is getting pushed, right?
Because it's just some wild weather.
So, of course, I text Tim and Nick,
and I'm like, hey, boys, get ready for anything.
Something's going down here, you know,
because I don't want to miss work.
I love work too much to miss it.
So we get to the airport.
We're all setting up, and it's like, oh, this is going to be a long,
hot one because that airport, that airport's hot and sticky in there.
But I saw all my friends from Brazil.
Shout to all the content creators from around the globe that I got to hang out with.
I made friends from Brazil to Mexico,
all the way out to Norway.
It was really cool.
I mean, kids from Australia were there.
It was dope.
So me and the Brazilian kids
are all sitting down in the circle.
They got like nine of them.
And you could tell they were getting worried
because they were going to get in
for the long haul here.
So my flight goes from 10 to 11.
Then all of a sudden there is 400 people
around this one gate that say San Francisco on it.
And I'm thinking, oh, man, like, we're going to make this.
No, Tim, they were doing two San Francisco flights
out of the same gate.
but one was postponed from 6 o'clock
and one was the 8 o'clock flight that was mine
and so when I thought oh I'm going to go home it's time
she's like no no no we're boarding the other flight
your flight will wait and I was like oh no
what's going to happen here roger
I looked out of my phone it goes your flight has been moved
gates I'm like okay no big deal
you gotta clear out the gate let's go over there
I walk over there I finally realize it says 1030
in the morning the next day oh I'm like oh no
it's 1230 at night what do I do
So shout out to the call of duty team and the travel agent Stephanie who took all the phone calls,
reorganized flights, got kids back to the hotel, took care of everyone.
I call this poor woman up at 1230 at night and you know she's been through it.
And I'm like, Stephanie, unfortunately, bad news.
I got canceled.
What should I do?
And she's like, Mike, like, if you can just make it back to the hotel, that would be great.
I'll get to the room.
And I was like, Stephanie, I'll handle it.
I got myself a Uber.
I go back.
And so now it's like 1 a.m. in the morning.
And Tim, audience, you got one opportunity in D.C.
And so I text my road dog, Tyler, who got canceled as well.
I go, we got two options.
One, we can go to bed.
It's a late night.
We've had a long day ripping over at the Polaris Academy.
We can call it a night, go to bed.
Or two, you and I can get on some lime scooters in the rain
and go rip the D.C. mall one more time from the Capitol to the Lincoln Monuments
on the Lime Scooters.
At 1 a.m.
At 1 a.m.
And the kid writes me and Tyler goes, let's go, Mike.
And me and Tyler are, now, Tim, you know, I rip the lime scooters.
I've been many.
There's one thing I know about Mike.
I've seen many of my friends get injured on lime scooters.
So I looked at Tyler and said, here's the deal.
I rip.
You might not have ever ridden one.
So rule number one, take it slow.
We're in the rain.
Don't you dare get hurt because if we go home and you get hurt because of me,
I'm not going to feel good about it.
He's like, Mike, this is my first time ever riding one.
I'll take it slow. I promise.
Oh, my God.
And so we ripped from 1, 1 a.m. in the morning till 2.30 in the morning.
Jesus.
An hour and a half long scooter ride just ripping around D.C.
From the Capitol to the White House all the way to the Washington Monument,
making the best out of the delay, y'all.
It was an experience of a lifetime.
That's me.
That's me.
And if you turn on the sound, I am the only person along with Tyler in the Lincoln Monument,
It echoes.
There's no one that...
You'll never see this kind of shot again.
It's just me.
You know, you want to see something crazy?
In the Lincoln Memorial?
Not a single person here.
Hello.
Living it!
This is true right here.
This picture.
You will never see it.
We need to frame that.
We need to put that up in the studio.
Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
Is Tyler taking these photos?
Is that right, but?
Oh, yeah, I forgot this one.
Tim, I was really jealous of Roger.
Okay, as you know, I love Roger,
and I'm very jealous of Roger all the time.
And Roger and Blessing proceeded to go get a cool vlog camera.
And I wanted a vlog camera to vlog my travels.
Unfortunately, all the vlog cameras in town were sold out
because it's a hot new product.
And Amazon wouldn't deliver it until after I was gone.
So I couldn't buy a vlog camera.
So I bought myself a little handhold selfie stick.
It was an expensive one.
It was the same company that made Rogers School
a vlog camera. The DJI ones.
Okay. How much is it?
$150, $170. Okay.
Third and a whole trip, I didn't use it once.
Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And then at the end of the trip, I looked at a kid, I go,
you're a content creator, take this.
And I handed it to him.
And I came into him.
And that was the end of the vlog.
That was it?
I didn't want it no more.
I didn't want it no more.
And that's why I'm going to buy myself a cool, cool little vlog camera,
Later this week, y'all.
That's what happened.
I didn't want it.
It didn't fit my vibe.
Cut the podcast.
