Snowbike, Mike. Hello, Tim. Greg Miller. Hello. And Andy Cortez. Hello, Tim. We just watched the Nintendo Direct for September 2026. Give it us a look at the next couple months of the Nintendo Switch 2's life

Nintendo Direct. We saw it. Now we're going to talk about it. Andy Cortez, let's start with you. I had a I had an okay time. Yeah. I was, I think the things aside from Kirby at the very

very end there, which got me really stoked. Metroid ravenous was awesome. And also the Overcooked Devs game. Yep. And then that one game with the same word twice. Onda, on day. That's the one. That's one bless.

There were some surprises in here that, you know, cheered me up a bit and got me stoked. But for the most part, just yet another direct that doesn't speak to me. We see other people in the chat pop off whenever their favorite character from that one anime shows up in Fatal Fury and and I get that but unfortunately I would say the pacing of this was awesome. Not a whole lot

of interruption. We had that one moment we're like are we going to get a lot of like more Pikmin style demos like that and fortunately no I thought it was just really really well paced. So for like for the content of it I would say I'd give it like

a six but for the presentation I liked it a lot just speed-wise and the information they're getting across, a lot of dates, a lot of, uh, it was very efficient, I would say. So yeah, I had a solid time here. Greg, orie, James Miller. Thank you, Timothy. Uh, I go to flat seven.

I think it was good. Uh, yeah, I think the pace was great. Uh, I don't think there was a lot of games for me that were like wowing or standouts or oh my God, what crazy news, but a new metric game, solid showings for a bunch of other stuff. It's the usual, I think, where, what are we talking about? what are we judging? I'm judging it just based on both my own personal preferences and the content here. There's a lot of content here. If you have a switch, a lot of great reasons to keep your switch to charge ready to go in the dock. Like I think they're serving a very specific audience

of people who want that kind of thing. That montage that was great kept on going. Love that. And then yeah, to see new stuff and old installments, you know, updated things like it's not one that blew my hair back. It's not one that I feel like, oh my God, I have to run out and do this whole thing right now. But like, it was, I think, a very solid one that I enjoyed throughout. I wasn't going, what the fuck's going on? Seven. Mikey. Yeah, I agree with Andy and Greg. I'm right there. I'm just a flat good. This presentation was fine, right? I think it was really carried by two major announcements, which of course is Metroid ravenous and Kirby. Those will be the talking points of today.

But Tim, you always bring it up. Dates, dates, dates. Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo direct here nailed, hey, for the rest of the year, you're getting a lot of. of games and great support from third party game or third party partnerships that we always talk about right. Hey, my Nintendo Switch 2 needs to be backed up by the latest and greatest games and this entire direct was nothing but hey, here are the latest bangers that came out on

all the other platforms. They're coming to your Nintendo Switch and they're coming within this year. And then of course we got the tease of both like I said, Kirby and Metroid, starting off January and February I believe or spring. So it's like those are two just major wins. for the Nintendo Switch and the platform.

So I think it was good. I agree with Andy and Greg Hill. Like the pacing of this was very well done. The montage went a little long, but it was a fun montage. Not a lot of major games speaking to me, but I think those two will carry this just fine. Bless.

I thought this is great. I had a really good time. When I look through the amount of games that were talked about today, I think content-wise, this was filled to the brim. Nintendo is funny. When we got to the Resident Evil section, I kind of had the fun analogy in my head of like Nintendo being that parent that comes to school in the middle of the day and goes,

hey, we got something that we're doing today. Like, I'm taking you out of school, we're going to the theme park. And in the way in which Nintendo loves to announce dates that are right there, you know what I mean? When you say Resident Evil is coming out next month and you're getting all of them, you have these games coming out in November. You have more games coming out in September. There's such a focus on the now. And this fall feels way more filled than it did before this direct. and I think there's something there that works for me

with how they want to talk about their information. You know, they're not really giving us things that are that far ahead, which I think right now I'm okay with we've been getting a steady pace of big games. And when they do talk about their big games, they're talking about things like Metroid Ravenous and Kirby and the World Beyond. And both of those are really exciting.

Kirby and the world beyond, I think is a really fantastic step up for the Kirby franchise, especially when we're coming off of Kirby in the Forgotten Land, getting that slow step into, wait, no, we can go further with this, we can go big with this, we can have more exciting ideas, with what we do with Kirby, for me is a really exciting thing. And I think presentationally, this has been probably one of the best directs as far as pacing, as far as packaging.

I think the montage was done fantastically. Like being able to sneak in things like Gardens of the Galaxy, what they call it, Encore Edition. It's like, whoa. I need to PR on that. So if you can do that, that's what I need. Yeah. Like, I think, I got you. Same name as Zelda.

Yeah. Yeah. And like, I mean, November, fucking putting out Sonic Pico Park a week before, GTA 6. It's like, well, you found the one game I'm going to make time for. And so, yeah, I had a really good time with this direct. I'd probably say it's like an 8 out of 10. Yeah, I'm right there with you, Bless. I absolutely loved this. I'm putting a score on it. Like, it's hard. I'd say 8 just because a 9 and a 10, a 9 and a 10 I'd reserve for like, oh my God, 3D Mario and smash and all that stuff. But,

I mean, I could not be happier personally. We're getting a follow up to forgotten land that looks incredible, so much bigger than I ever would have expected a sequel to that game being. And then we also got the Starcrossed Worlds update to Kirby last year for the Switch 2, which gave me more of those more Mario 3D World style kind of obstacle course-based levels. So to see it expand here and not be that, I think is awesome and very, very unexpected. Metroid ravenous lived up to any expectation I could have for it. You know, that was a rumor for the last couple months. And to see it happening for it to be so close with a date, it's like, man, I don't know what else I could ask for.

Like I have games that are major Nintendo games coming the next couple months from Ocureen of Time into a Metroid and then Kirby. I'm like, yeah, those are going to be three absolute bangers that are so my shit. This whole trail looks great. I, we know what this team's capable of because of dread. And they made something so technically awesome on the Switch one. This being on the Switch 2,

I can't wait to see how they push it. And in terms of third party support, I understand that for all of us at this table, it's like we are not the audience. We're seeing a lot of games that we've seen before. We're seeing ports. But man, as somebody that is watched and cared about Nintendo Direx

for their entire existence, the fact that we're getting all of these games as opposed to just all the things we used to get and they're looking as good as they are, these are all handheld compatible games. Like, that's crazy that we're able to get so much. And I understand people are like, oh, it's just old games, old games, old games.

The more of these directs that happened in the early Switch 2, life. We're really getting caught up. And I think it's important to note that a lot of the games that the third party games are seeing in this direct, they're the third party games coming out next year everywhere. And the fact that they're on Switch 2 is major and that we've had so many, so much evidence that it can work. These are not inferior ports. These are totally good, playable versions of these games. That, yeah, I do want to see the last handful of last gen games like the Reson Evil 2, 3, 4 remakes getting here.

Like, that's going to be so awesome for so many new gamers. These games are selling very, very well on the Switch 2. So, yeah, of course I want to see Crisis Court reunion on the Switch 2. Like, that's just awesome. We're not in that MK1 Immortal Kombat 1 port territory

at all anymore. Not at all. And they keep on proving that. Yeah. Star Fox Adventures on NSO. Hell yes. I expected one day we would get it. Today's the day. That's awesome. The Witcher 3 remastered, like I was saying, like it come in there. It's like that's old game. It's a new game, but it's going to be on Switch 2, day one.

And then really it's just like, yeah, a lot of the stuff here, not for me. That's always going to be an Nintendo directs. But yeah, stage fright, y'all mentioned looks great. And yeah, Mario Kart World's getting a very update. It was, I don't even want to call it a bummer. It was just kind of like a whatever. Who cares? I'm going to play some knockout tours tonight.

I'm excited for that. It's been a long. time since I had a reason to boot that game up. But yeah, a ton of really cool stuff here. And yeah, Guardians of Galaxy Oncor edition, I want to know more because that's very cool. And I hope that game gets some level of second life. I imagine it'll also be on the other consoles as well.

But I want to shout out. I'm surprised by how many things are for me in this direct. Like when I look through that center portion where we get onyx, the dark grip, stage fright, and on day on day. I know Andy mentioned two of those, but like all three of those games, those are the three kinds of titles that in any other Nintendo direct, they're just the weird ass like, oh man, who's gonna play this kind of game? The, uh, that's the one that you talked about before, the dinosaur.

Tokyo Scramble. Tokyo Scramble or it's like, who is this for? I look at these games and I'm like, oh, Ande Ondi looks kind of weird, but it's the kind of game that I want to try. There's something there. Stage right, like we mentioned, seems really cool, right? And then Onyx, the dark grip coming from was, um, was, Blueber team. It's like, okay, well, I want to know what's over that. It's only playable in handheld is doing some weird shit.

I, my, my interest is peaked on this one. Um, in the first half also. of this direct just containing these not just third party games, but massive third party games. You're talking about Monster Hunter Wilds, Final Fantasy 7 Revelation, The Witcher 3 remastered, kingdom come deliverance too, and then you also

have a game like Mecca or Mecha Chameleon that is more recent that's making the port. I don't know. I think as far as the third party inclusions here, I think they knocked out of the park in my opinion. I think it's huge to have a game like Metschicameleon to show like this massive game that this isn't an indie game

that was huge two years ago. or something. It's taking a quick leap over and that just speaks to a lot of like not only their success as a studio, but like we could put this on Switch 2 and be even we could be even more big right now and we don't have and we can like prioritize getting on

there as quickly as possible. I think that says a lot about the state of like the third party consoles space here. Yeah, we don't see that often too especially with these like hot flash in the pan hits over on Steam that like when they get announced for the PlayStation or Xbox port it's years later and it's like, well, that game's not hot right now, right?

They kicked off with Monster Hunter Wilds. Hunters can team up locally via wireless player, join friends online with full cross-platform multiplayer support. That's cool. It's coming on December 4th. Jay Z's birthday. Oh, an ascendance expansion coming in 2027. I think this is a great one speaking to what you're talking about, Tim, of where the Switch 2 is,

what it is for so many different people, but more importantly, even if you want to sit here and roll your eyes at ports coming over, the fact that, all right, cool, but the massive expansion is coming as well next year, right? Like, let's get Switch to all the games

it needs to, and then let's drop the DLCs and expansions and stuff concurrently on those games so that this really is a console that is, in the same weight class as PlayStation 5, even though it might be in a different conversation for some people, hey, you can get the content you want

and be where you want. I'm not a huge fan of this opening. I thought it was a slow start to the opening. I didn't think it hits as hard as a couple other things. My question would be, who would you put there first then? I'm more of a show your team first always. Would you go out with Ravenness here? I think you come out with the Ravenness or Kirby out.

I'll always, even Pickman, I don't care. Like, I think you always lead with like, I lead with my team and then we bring out the big guns. I just think this trailer in particular as well is missing the base, missing the big pop. I agree totally with you, Greg, of like, yeah, this is how you show that your system right now, especially in year one into year two and then year three is like, hey, we're getting all the big games. You can buy this and believe that we're going to get those for you, but I just don't think you come out with a pretty mid-showing of Monster Wilds here.

Yeah, I don't have much to say on this one. I think it was a great opening either. Again, I think it is still that it's, going to be impossible to serve every audience at a Nintendo direct, but for us and you, the person watching or listening to games content, starting off with a bang of the game that was already out last year, everywhere, it's finally here.

That is never, I just don't think it's like, oh. The end that we saw like 19 trailers for it. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. It being Monster Hunter, though, I think separates it a little bit because they're talking about a Japanese company and a large Japanese audience that makes no mistake about it, right? That's why the local supports there. Yeah. It is that idea of, okay, cool, on the train with your friends, you can play. And that's the thing.

Yeah, it's like a game that has such a legacy being handheld on 3Ds, PSP and all that stuff. Yeah, PSP, don't get a twist it on. I'm sorry. Yeah, it coming to a handheld platform. True, you're not wrong. You're not wrong. I think there's a reason why they wanted to start off with this specifically. Yeah, get it.

Doesn't excite me, but I get it. Moving on to Final Fantasy 7, Revelation, coming April 8th, 2026. And then the announcement that Crisis Corps reunion is out today on the Switch 2. It was already on Switch 1 as well, but now there's a Switch 2 version on that I'm sure. there's no upgrade path for and you're going to have to buy it totally separately if you'd like which is absolutely insane and square you got to figure that shit out final fantasy 10 10 2 Mike they put out a switch 2 edition saves from the switch 1 edition not even compatible what are we talking about that is that is that is a wild one you have to pay full price i do agree with you on that um but yeah i mean again

not news here but the fact that one of the biggest games of 2027 is day and day can be on the switch too and run awesome huge deal it's like very very big deal uh moving on Then to Hyrule Warriors, Age of Calamity, definitive edition. As we were watching this even, and I'm not a big fan of these games, not talking about the quality of them, just more just I don't play them. I mistook what this was. I thought this was the Switch one games getting ported here. But no, this seems to be just a definitive addition to the game that came out last year, right?

No. Age of Calamity? Isn't it? What was the, you know, someone that came out of last year, I thought? Maybe I also misunderstood it. I would have sworn this was two games ago. Age of Calamity is the, um, the latest one. Yeah.

Wage of Calamity launched November 20th, 2020. Fuck. Okay. Oh, this is the ocean. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Okay.

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. There we go then. Wait, so this isn't an updated version. Plagues tale. Oh, his link's here. Innocent?

Innocent. Yeah. Yeah. This is the one that came out after Breath of the Wild. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Right.

Cool. Hey, this is actually cooler than I expected that. Yeah. Okay. Yeah, I get a Switch 2 edition here on February 25th, 2027. Did age of imprisonment come out on Switch 2? Yeah. What am I think? It was a Switch to Exhibit.

Oh, shit. Which is, that's why I thought it was weird they're putting out a definitive edition. But like, I played that game early for review. Yeah, you did. To remember it was on Switch 2. Yeah. Cool. More finishing off the Switch 1 games, making their way to two. Then we have Metro Camelion out today. Mike. I mean, I am, me and Andy just brought up, but I'm really impressed by this announcement. This is one of those why I became such a PC gamer over on Steam is I was playing on Xbox and PlayStation, looking at a lot of these early access titles, these fun party games that really slowly made their way over onto the consoles or never made it to the consoles. And when we talk about such a hit of this year that I've brought up many of times,

the team and I have played it before, 10 million copies sold within the first like 30 days. This is a mega hit. It's an awesome party game with your friends. And it's such a simple idea. Hey, we're playing hide and seek. We're playing prop hunts, but you get to be an artist

and paint yourself into the backgrounds of the world. So brilliant, really smart. I think it's less than $10. I'll be interested to see what the price point is when that pops up on the e-shop. but if it's less than $10, this thing is going to absolutely explode on this platform. Next up, Greg, we have Pocopia. This is the update you've been waiting for.

You get some bows. I don't know about that. I don't know about all that. Go two-os here. You know, Andy, I did shush you during it. I thought part two of the expansion past might be a bit more exciting than just accessories, but it is in fact sunglasses, bows and other accessories you might care about. Good for them.

late 2020. I won't be kicking on for that one probably. I will wait for the third new stage that'll be, the third part of the expansion pass that is a new area. I don't think I ever talked to you about the water one. How did you feel about that? I haven't had time. Okay.

It's more, you know, the review grind we've been on. It just hasn't been a chance. I did have a terrifying conversation that I have to let go of and it's okay with Ben. Where Ben had been a couple, maybe a month ago, like I really want to play a Pocopi again.

I was like, I'll put on your switch or whatever. He's like, I don't want to play Deng and Rompah. No, Jesus Christ. You know what I mean? Let me buy you a trench coat right now. No, it was instead, it was instead, and that's a dated reference. A dated reference.

You know what I was going for based on my this conversation. No. Instead, Ben was like, I don't know. Thanks for, he's like, I've been playing Pocopia. I'm like, oh, yeah. He's like, I've been mining. And I was like, oh, cool. Like, what has he destroyed in my world?

He's played my same. So I'm going to come back for something. My town's just fucking really very funny. Amazing. You're going to mining, Mike. Did you know that? Mike Tomlin, former Steelers head coach. Coach Big Mike.

He's been working on a Minecraft world for the last 12 years. Stop it. And he's like, and I think I'll finally want to reveal it to everybody. That's awesome. I hope he does reveal it. He's talking about this in an interview recently. It's so weird, man. That's insanity.

That's like one of the most insane things I've ever heard. It's crazy. That's pretty amazing. Oh my God. And moving on, we got a Star Fox update, which I didn't expect to see. It's all the multiplayer stuff, which is. not my favorite. It was more fun than I expected in the limited time I had with it.

This is good doubling the content of the multiplayer output there, so cool for somebody. Four player split screen battle mode. Four player online battles on an open switch. There is a world. It doesn't exist, Mike. But there is a world where we get four people together and try to be a team against other people.

Cool that this is now a feature. But yeah, if it's not this world, I don't know which is. Yeah, it's not this world, unfortunately. I really thought they were going to show off Giroston. It's like Andy, we heard That is coming on September 29th, 2026. And the bigger

news for me, Star Fox Adventures comes to GameCube Classics today. That's pretty damn cool. I love this. Definitely one of the I'd say like top 25 game cube games. It's a rare Zelda-like Star Fox game. It started its life on the

N64 is a game called Dinosaur Planet. And they're just like, rare, you silly little bitches, no. We're going to, we need, we want this to have a little bit more Nintendo Pizzazz. We're going to put it on our next console and add Star Fox. And the fur technology was popping off, man. The fur and the water. That's all they wanted to talk about here.

Those little blurry kind of furry edges. What I wanted to do in the future is Tim submit his top 25 GameCube games and then Blessing does a shit list. I like that. That's fun. It says, it's just good enough. If Dinosaur Planet actually came out on the N64, oh man, I would have gone.
