Starting point is 00:00:06 What's up everybody? Welcome to the Kind of Funny Games cast for Friday, September 12th, 2025. I'm one of your host, Greg Miller, alongside Forbes 30 under 30, AKA New York Game Awards nominated, AKA the Donkey Kong fan who's eating good. Blessing Eddie O. Ye, Jr. Can you believe it's 7 a.m. right now? I feel like it's, I don't know. I feel good. I'm excited. I'm feeling good. I'm feeling the 7 a.m. But also, I'm also. I'm feeling good after that antenna director. All right. That's what I like to hear. Joining us right now with his OJ, it's the master of hype, Snowback, Mike. I'm starting the morning off right with a little McDonald's orange juice. Chug, chug, chug, chug, chug. Chug, chug, chug.
Starting point is 00:00:48 Chug, chug. This kid's cracked out of his head. He's doing it. Chug, chug, chug, chug, chug. This is not good for you. Chuck, chuck, ch ch ch ch ch ch. And he did it. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:01:00 That gets juiced up. I wasn't serious. That's vitamin C. That's vitamin C if I've ever seen it. You what would Nintendo do? You challenge him on anything. He'll do it. He rises to the occasion.
Starting point is 00:01:11 He gets on me and Nick's level. That's why he loves it. And of course, he's the Hispanic heartthrobed Texas treat Latino heat. Clicking heads and ripping him to shreds. The Globetroton, headshot, three-point shooting, rooting tootin. Nitro rifle from Twitch.com. Andy Cortez. Good morning.
Starting point is 00:01:26 Hey, how are you? Oh, my God. Christ. Almost knocked the water over in the intro. As I drank it, I was like, I'm going to have the coffee. Josh. Everybody of you are joining us late.

Housekeeping, we are an 11-person business all about live talk shows, even though it's incredibly early here in the Bay. You will be getting Kind of Funny Games Daily
Starting point is 00:03:22 directly after this. And after that, throw away the playbook. Blessing Adioia Jr. is running home to get his switch, to come back to play this Donkey Kong DLC on our stream of the day. Hopefully it will go live while we're here. Oh yeah. So, you know, you're rolling dice. We'll see what happens over there. And then after that, Andy, what's happening?
Starting point is 00:03:42 It will be the premiere of the extra super long 26-hour Hollandite Sok song Marathon video. Both days, all the shenanigans, all of the the food truck shrimp getting tossed into our mouths. Don't miss that one. Don't miss that. A video of Snowbike Mike, go into the local food truck and ask him to guys, to toss it into his mouth. Yeah. All that stuff is there. And all the boss fights.
Starting point is 00:04:08 It took me like two tries on most of them. Love that. I love that a lot. Thank you, Roger, of course. Of course, that is what's happening directly after blessing streams. Just hang out with this all day, and that'll be a YouTube premiere. So you go to YouTube.com slash Kind of Funny Games to watch that. Do you know how long the video is?
Starting point is 00:04:22 26 hours. Good Lord. Come hang out of this. Yeah, come on this all weekend. Now, I do have to stop the show, and I hate doing this. You know, this has been a very polished intro. Everything's been really good. But I have to ask the panel, all three of you,
Starting point is 00:04:36 did I fucking stutter? Did I ask you the audience to submit your reviews of this Nintendo Direct on the kind of funny scale? I believe I did. That's what I heard. So what do I think when I look at the fucking thing and the first one to come through was Colin Barry
Starting point is 00:04:54 who says the direct was a solid A for me? I'll stop right there, Colin. Stop it. Does kind of funny review on an ABCDF scale? I think we did it in the Twitch chat somebody put a school grade Who did it? I don't know
Starting point is 00:05:10 Who did it? I'll get it. Find them and time them out, Barry. All right? Who did it? I don't have time for this. It was probably a mod. Colin, you gave us $5.
Starting point is 00:05:18 I expect $7 back with a correct score. Also, the polls can't do 1 through 10. Yeah, yeah. Colin Barry, I'll Venmo you the money for them. Frank Furner, you know better. Frank, hey. Frank.
Starting point is 00:05:31 Hey, come on. If you're kind of funny, remember literally get a Gregway today. It's going to be great. I didn't, I had, I had Barrett and my wife's sister's friend in the car, so I could do a Greg way. Great story about that, too, by the way. I, in passing, have mentioned, you know, my wife's sisters in town or whatever, and she had done this crazy trail for people who have asked or whatever. And I've said she had a friend. I thought I had a friend. I thought I had a friend. I thought I had a told Barrett that in more detail. No. So then when I picked up Barrett for the ride here, he was a stranger in the car.
Starting point is 00:05:59 Had no idea who we were. I was like by him and I was like, hey. Oh, you're late. That's on you. When we walked in, I said, hey, this is Pat. I was like, hey, Barry, this is Pat. He's like, oh, hey.
Starting point is 00:06:08 Then it would be Bear bullshit and then there was like a moment of silence. I was like, you didn't know. Greg's a part-time move for driver. Greg doesn't say more than this is Pat, by the way, when he walked in. You're all you need. And I was like, is this your way-old driver? And he was like, well, that's how he introduced him to me.
Starting point is 00:06:22 And coming out to get into his car, he rolls down into his window. He's like, get in the back. And I was like, oh, that's his Greg being funny. And so I go around. And yeah, there was a dude in the passenger seat. And then he says, yeah, this is Pat. And then after like 10 minutes, I was like, so Pat, how do you know Greg? It was very early.
Starting point is 00:06:40 Yeah, early morning. Here we were just walking on. Is Pat still out there? I don't know. I was creating stories ahead. I kept telling me, Pat. I'm like, just stay here. Don't go to the airport.
Starting point is 00:06:47 You're going to spend money. You can just sit on our couch. Yeah, but they got sweet maple in that airport. I hate you. Thank you to our Patreon. I'm producers Carl Jacobs, Omega Buster,
Starting point is 00:06:58 and Delaney the song, Twining. Today we're about to you by Shady Raisin Factor, but we'll tell you about that later. For now, let's begin the show with what is and forever will be.
Starting point is 00:07:06 Topic of the show. They're with the M.J's house, Roger. You just called me Roger, all right? You got to get off the fucking show. You got to get off the show. You're right, you're right,
Starting point is 00:07:18 you're right, you're right, you're right. They're right. They're with the MJ's house, Roger. You just got to understand. Oh, my God. Oh my God, everybody.
Starting point is 00:07:24 We have just watched the Nintendo Direct for September 12th, 2025, more than an hour of announcements, ranging, of course, from the Mario Brothers movie. That's right. The Super Mario Galaxy movie coming April 2026, all the way down to a brand spanking new fire emblem fortunes weave. Let's go around and score this here direct before we weighed in to everything else. Andy Cortez.
Starting point is 00:07:51 what would you give this on the patented kind of funny scale? B plus God fucking damn it don't do this I would 1 to 10 you can use point 5s
Starting point is 00:08:00 fuck me Barry put it up oh you're here Bear I would I would give this presentation that antenna just gave
Starting point is 00:08:08 for us a solid I'd go 8 out of 10 nice I really enjoyed this even the games that aren't directly speaking to me
Starting point is 00:08:21 I know that they are massive for the community like I know how big Fire Emblem is. I know how well that they review. I know that these are games that have really hardcore dedicated fan bases. We saw people in the YouTube chat say, I'm crying right now.
Starting point is 00:08:34 Like, these are massive games in the Nintendo community. And to get follow-ups like that, I think is huge. To get release date for Metroid Prime 4. There was just a lot of I mean, tennis fever. Like, holy shit, what a pretty, this is a packed ass
Starting point is 00:08:50 direct, I thought. I really enjoyed it. I don't think it lived up to what I thought was going to happen with what, you know, what did you think was going to happen? I think there was just a lot more, I thought we would get a new Mario, look at a new sort of like 3D Mario, whatever, but it was still
Starting point is 00:09:06 way more enjoyable than a lot of the more recent ones. I had a great time with this. Excellent. Snowback, Mike, what would you give it on our review scale? Thank you, Barry. Yeah, I'm much lower than Andy on Fort. I'm more of the 6-7 range. So I'm going to just nestling on the okay. 6.5. I was just fine
Starting point is 00:09:24 for me. Didn't have many for Snowbike Mike, like super excited moments for me. But as a whole, that was an hour. There was some stuff in there. That's what I'll put it. There was some stuff in there. There was some, there was a block where it was like, oh, we got lost here. Okay.
Starting point is 00:09:41 Blessing Eddie O. Ye, Jr. I'd give it a 7.5. Okay. I thought this is overall a good direct. And when I look back at my list of notes of the announcements they made, I think when you look at it, they actually had a lot of, a lot of, of really, really good stuff in there. I think the pacing was off. And part of that was, I think putting all the Mario stuff in one section at the beginning. I understand why you do it
Starting point is 00:10:02 because it's the Mario celebration. And so I think they picked the right way to do it with that. But because of that, I think then they have some sections where it is, okay, we're getting, you know, back to back. Here's the indie game that's coming from Switch 1 to Switch 2 now. That, you know, overcooked 2 now has cameras in it, you know, stuff like that where it is. Okay, now I feel like I'm just sitting here and gaining information about things that I don't necessarily I get as excited about. So my question there, if you don't mind me pulling over. Go for it.
Starting point is 00:10:27 Are you giving it a 7.5? You're giving it a 7.5. Is that more of the packaging or is that based on the content? That's based on both together, right? Like I think the content overall, the list of content was great, but the packaging was a little bit dull, right? So I just net out at that 7.5. But like when I look through it, yeah, Andy mentioned Mario Tennis Fever and I think that
Starting point is 00:10:49 looks great. Yoshi in the Mysterious book looks exciting, right? Super Mario Wonder plus Bellable Park. Looks like it's going to have some fun additions for what that game came out. But then, like, we have, we also have so much of what we asked for. The release dates that we're looking for, right? Metroid Prime. We got a Hades 2 release date.
Starting point is 00:11:06 This ended with a new Fire Emblem game, right? Like, I think they had all the staples that you want out of a Nintendo direct, even if all of it wasn't aimed at me. Objectively, I look at this and I'm like, okay, this is a great time. This has great content to it. What about you, Greg? For me personally, I echo what you're saying was, but I would go eight and with Andy.
Starting point is 00:11:25 I think it was a great presentation. I think, yeah, the pacing gets a little weird and that for me, and this is always, you know, I, the beholder,
Starting point is 00:11:32 especially for Fire Emblem, not doing anything for me. But when we're talking about how front-loaded, I think this was, here's the Mario, movie stuff, Mario Galaxy,
Starting point is 00:11:40 Mario Tennis. Like, fuck yeah, fuck yeah. Yoshim's mysterious book. Yeah, it does look great. And then we get, even Tomogamashi life,
Starting point is 00:11:47 I'm interested in, right? Hades 2, I think it's humongous, right? Giving us a September 25th digital release there for a switch. fuck yeah, let's go. But then where it starts to,
Starting point is 00:11:55 not languish, but I think somewhere after the WND of having a virtual boy and going through this is where I'm like, okay, Donkey Kong Bananza, fuck yeah, Metroid Prime. I didn't think the stuff on the motorcycle
Starting point is 00:12:05 looked that great, but I'm excited to see what Metrooid Prime is. And then we start going into like, all right, cool, Dangan Rampa, you know, Dynasty Warriors, Monster Hunter, a montage, Requiem,
Starting point is 00:12:15 which had a really great trailer, but I'm not going to play Requiem on Switch to fire him. I'm like, okay, I feel like, it's always hard to balance a direct or any kind of presentation and have it entertain everybody throughout the show. I just think moving some of the stuff I really cared about towards the back would have done more for this of like,
Starting point is 00:12:31 hey, we're keeping momentum rather than losing me in that back half. But you're strictly reading down the list of this and especially talking about what for a spring, 2026 or what I mean, 2026, the first half of the year for Nintendo, holy shit, they have quite the lineup here. And you as the resident Pokemon fan, you know, getting more info about Z to A, but also Pokopoeia. Yeah. Pocopia. Yeah, well, I'm excited when we go game by game. There's somebody in the chat that said, ready to rock.
Starting point is 00:12:58 Somebody in the chat said the word Pocoslop, which made me laugh. It does feel like a little bit, even though like the thing there is that people buy the Pokemon games, right? Like I look at Pocopia and I'm like, oh, that's a weird idea. That's what it's called. Yeah, Pocopia. I'm like, that's a weird idea. But it's probably going to do well, right?
Starting point is 00:13:17 Like, I think they do zero in on some niche sides of their audience that like, Polly are going to show up to that and go, oh, I love Minecraft. I like Pokemon. Let's play his ditto and do weird shit. Yeah, at the end there, when they did the Dragon Quest one, for a second chat popped off like Dragon Quest Builders 3, and it was like, that's a great example of a game that did take their IP and do something. And Pokemon, never been a stranger to doing something outside of a traditional
Starting point is 00:13:39 mainline Pokemon there. And the more I watched Popopoeia. Pocopia. It was like, okay, I can see tinkering with this. Like, is the world built out, but I doubt it. I'll be, Ditto as a person. I just don't like it.
Starting point is 00:13:55 I would much rather be you're a person who's landed here, catch Pokemon, and use them to build out your thing. Maybe use guns with it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:02 That's what Power World was. Yeah. That is what Power World was, yeah. Yeah, yeah. It all comes full circle. Let's get some reviews. Let me see it.
Starting point is 00:14:07 Let me see a Mankey with a, with a Desert Eagle. Shotguns out there. Of course, I ask people to write in with their reviews. Randy writes in it says,
Starting point is 00:14:16 why did they announce a Mario All-Stars collection? This didn't feel like a Mario Celebration IMO. Also, no cart update feels nuts. Six out of 10, giving it an okay out there. No card update is a very good call out. That does feel nuts.
Starting point is 00:14:28 Out of all the Mario predictions I was making the other day, that would have been the one I put money on as far as like, this is what I think will happen. I think we even mentioned Donkey Kong Bananza DLC and we should shoot. They were like, no, and I was like, no, we're not going to see DK Bananza DLC, which is really impressive. I also, it's interesting to me, and this doesn't matter in the grand scheme, but closing the Mario section with a Yoshi game threw me off a little bit, even though I understand Yoshi is a Mario character,
Starting point is 00:14:53 but I would have thought that you would have done like a more Mario front-facing thing. That's why at first I was like, oh, this is gonna be Yoshi's island too. We're gonna see baby Mario fucking lands and crash lands on the dinosaur planet. And then I think that makes me then go, well, why didn't you just put the Bonanza DLC
Starting point is 00:15:06 in the Mario section? Yeah. It's like Donkey Kong is, I don't know, it's a weird thing. Yeah, I thought we would have gotten a Luigi's Mansion for something. Oh, interesting, yeah. For me, I think the other thing, this isn't a Nintendo.
Starting point is 00:15:17 I can't believe this was here, but I thought for sure, Marvel Cosmic Invasion's release date was a slam dunk. I would have been like, of course, debuted to direct. It's supposed to come this year. They'll put it out of here. I don't know. There's two new characters. I think we've just got to accept that. That game's not coming out this year.
Starting point is 00:15:31 Shut up. I can't accept that. Okay, I need this. I need it too. We got to go to a bar and play it together. Oh, sorry, more reviews I wanted to get in here. A lot of people are having a lot of fun at my expense. Okay. Colum Berry did super chat in and said, here you go, Greg. Another $2.11 to make it. you. I appreciate that. But then I got over here.
Starting point is 00:15:52 Oak Toast said Morning KF crew, solid A-Mondis direct. Will Hades 2 shake up the game of the year discussion? Oh, yeah. Dude, I can't wait. I'm so excited to vote for this fucking game. Hadesu versus Expedition versus Silk Song versus D.K. Bonanza. Blue Prince.
Starting point is 00:16:08 Holy shit. We got to keep putting respect. I'm Blue Prince's name. Blue Prince is my game of the year. But nobody, it's not going to happen. I'm sorry. We're not going to see it nominated at the game awards. If it's your game of the year, you've got to celebrate it, bro. You don't think it'll be at the game of world? Blueprints?
Starting point is 00:16:21 Yeah. No. Really? I don't think enough people played it. I don't think it's like popular on that level enough. Outside of people who just reviewed it, it felt kind of split in reactions of if it was people's game or not. It'll be indie game of the year nominated.
Starting point is 00:16:35 Not game of the year. I think it would be interesting for blueprints too, and this isn't me throwing shade. Game Awards obviously is so many different outlets coming together, which means who played the most games kind of thing. I think it dice. I bet dice awards this year. Oh, yeah. Prince, hopefully represented.
Starting point is 00:16:49 Also, maybe it came out a little too early in the year. Yeah, I just hate coming too early. I just look at, like, the conversation around blueprints, right? How, like, it felt more focused around, like, the fucking nerds. Yeah. Expedition 33, everybody's talking about, like, oh, man, you just that one, you know. Resolute says 8.5 out of 10. What I have to do now for a new punchout or remake of Mario Hoops 3 on 3.
Starting point is 00:17:12 I know that is the Mario sports game. Well, you want a baseball. I want anything other than tennis golf. soccer. I mean, tennis looks great, though. Tennis looks great, but like we've had plenty of tennis games. And like, what was an Aces? Aces is not a bad game by any means. Like Aces is good. You can play it right now and have a great time.
Starting point is 00:17:30 It's like, let's get baseball back in the mix. Soccer, we had a misstep with, but I can't keep getting golf and tennis over and over again. Tennis and golf are great, but we also have some other sports that we can go and have some fun. Aces is 2018, though. And you can play it right now and be like, man, this game rocks. Yeah, but we can't say over and over again. That was seven years ago, you know? Like, that was a long-ass time ago.
Starting point is 00:17:52 But you're not wrong, though, that we need more love for the other shit. It's just when I think of the waste of energy and dev time that Super Rush was, I think, really breaks my heart that, like, that could have been used to make something else. Yeah. Kyle LeBoof, Super Chaston says, 8 out of 10. Not a ton of stuff I was interested in, but Super Mario Galaxy 2 has me excited. I've never played, and I lost my 3-D All-Stars cart in my last move. Oh, that's heartbreaking. Oh, my God. Yeah, Galaxy coming is a huge one, or Galaxy 2 coming is a huge one.
Starting point is 00:18:22 Excited for that one. Final one before I give you an ad break and we go game by game, topic by topic. Zero SP SuperTrass and says 6.5, but mostly excited for remakes and re-releases like Mario and Dangan Rompah. New games didn't do anything for me personally, but happy for Fire Emblem, people. Which is how I feel as well. Mike, are you actually excited for Fire Emblem? Yeah, I'm going to play three houses this year. I downloaded on the Switch show.
Starting point is 00:18:44 I'm very excited to check it out. and I'm ready to ride the wave because there's a lot of hype around this, and so I can't wait to give it a try. And what we saw there, a little gladiator-esque. I mean, we'll talk more about that in one second because, of course, this is the Kind of Funny Gamescast review of the Nintendo Direct. We're going to go game by game down the list, talk about everything. But first I'll remind you that we couldn't do cool shit like this without your support

A lot of you all may be wondering, what, I thought it was like 32 hours or whatever, Andy. edited out like all the bathroom breaks along with all the times that I was like doodling in the journal. Nice. Because a lot of that was just me looking down
Starting point is 00:19:52 and not seeing anything. I would show you the end product, you know. Yeah, well, can people still give subs to get it? To get in her to win it? The, no, that has been cut off. It sucks to be all. Of course, we will go game by game right after this word from our sponsors.

That's what he's talking about. Can we get to some of the games? Instead of going to games, we went straight to the movie, got our first teaser.
Starting point is 00:23:00 Special tickets, too. Special tickets, yes. If you've already gone to the Kyoto Museum, there is another reason to go now because of that. Thank you over there. Kratos Gov for... 107 months in a row for subscription here on Twitch. Love you. We went from there though
Starting point is 00:23:14 our first look at the Super Mario Galaxy movie of course we can see it here if you are an audio visual watcher. Mario, asleep at the tree. We fly across, we see Monty Mole. We see some fish yet go for it. Can I say it bums me out that this was leaked
Starting point is 00:23:30 like earlier this week? Hey, they registered this domain. Yeah, they registered the domain for super Mario Galaxy.com because this reveal was so well done because if you're somebody, if you're a Mario sicko who really cares, right? Like, in theorizing what this is going to be, you would have thought, oh, they're going to do Super Mario World because they teased Yoshi at the end
Starting point is 00:23:47 of the first Super Mario Brothers movie. Spoilers. And so, they started this off, right? I was going to watch it tonight. With the Grasslands and the Monti-Mole, and they're specifically playing Super Mario World music. The fucking pan up to space to Super Mario Galaxy, if that wasn't already like a known thing,
Starting point is 00:24:03 I would have popped the fuck off. I would have been going crazy. But I just wanted to shout out how well done of a reveal that is. 100%. Of course, the little thing lets it go there at the end.
Starting point is 00:24:14 The music was fantastic too. Hearing the Galaxy theme with the orchestra was awesome. The transition from world to galaxy is so good. Was anybody else thrown by, we get the thing amazing, then we go in to run through the cast
Starting point is 00:24:26 and I was like, all right, and then they're using it, look to me in untrained eye, the same head shots in cadence of how they announced the cast originally. Of course, Chris Pratt's back.
Starting point is 00:24:34 He had a beard though in this head shot. Oh, was it? I'm the Taylor Joy's back. You know, Jack Black is back. sure, sure, and I'm waiting then, and now in her, Yoshi's voice, and then nothing, it was just like, all right, cool. I was feeling Ariana Grande.
Starting point is 00:24:45 I was thinking a little Jason Momoa in my mind. Like, those felt like that could be an easy logical, like, hey, guess what we got, boom, win. That's how it is. That's all you got. April 3rd, 2026 for Super Mario Galaxy, the movie. But from there, they rolled straight into the games that inspired it all, even though they were quick to say, you know,
Starting point is 00:25:06 the movie takes inspiration from everything. Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2 are coming out October 2nd. These will be out in their one boxed form and then available digitally individually. Went through, showed this, of course, announced new Mario and Rosalina Amibos. Also said that in a very exciting fashion, there are new storybook pages added to the storybook function inside of the games. And they're doing an IRL storybook you can buy off of my Nintendo today. however the new storybook pages won't be in there. hilarious.
Starting point is 00:25:38 That was one of the funniest things. It's just an interesting weird WNDA to do that. Andy, surprised or just delighted? You know, excited that I'll finally be able to play this in a way that doesn't require me to, you know, allegedly do nefarious things. But, you know, I would I have loved a bit more love to these remakes? what I've loved to seem, you know, a bit more done in terms of what the engine can do. Yes, of course, I would have loved that, but I'm still excited that this game seems to have, you know, the updated textures and everything looking a lot sharper, running at a higher resolution. I can give you the official rundown here off the Nintendo's press release.
Starting point is 00:26:21 All right. Both titles feature improved UI, the option to play with button and stick or motion controls and, I'm sorry, an in-game music player, new story about content and enhanced resolution. Jesus. Plus, a free update will be available for Nintendo Switch 2 that adds 4K resolution support for both titles. That's beautiful.
Starting point is 00:26:38 Yeah, I mean, it's long overdue. That's been everybody's sticking points since the first Mario 3D collection. Why would you not include part 2? Yeah. Do we know that this was the plan all along to eventually prepare
Starting point is 00:26:52 and kind of have it debut after of Super Mario Galaxy movie reveal? I don't know. It just felt like a weird Nintendo decision at the time. I'm just excited that people like me who never played part two who finally played part one when the collection came out because I was never really like a Nintendo Wii type gamer
Starting point is 00:27:10 I know my game queue was only for Smash Bros and for Double Dash But yeah super pumped for this I'm happy to actually be able to play part two Because part one became one of my favorite 3D platforms ever If I want to leave these amoeboes up I can give you a little information there Mario and Luma can be scanned in the game for either receive a life. I'm sorry, Mario and Luma can be scanned in either game to receive a life mushroom. And Rosalina and Luma's can give you a one-up mushroom.
Starting point is 00:27:40 So there you go. These two larger than standard size amoeboes will be available April 2nd, 2026. Do they say anything about pricing in the press release? I'm seeing a lot of people say in chat $40 for each of them. They don't do that usually when they do this. Let me see if like, because I'm curious on what the combined like. For each game? For each game, yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:58 So I'm curious on what the combined things. The store is loading right now. Drum roll, please. I got the stars. $70 for the game that has both of them on digital. And then, yeah, you assume. Dang, I would have hoped for like 60. Then Mario Galaxy by itself is $40.
Starting point is 00:28:15 $40. Yeah, $40. Yeah, $40 as well. Actually, it doesn't surprise me. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's a bummer because obviously I wish it was less, but like, they had to be $40 for the 40th hand of nursery, you know what I'm celebrating.
Starting point is 00:28:28 You know what I mean? You got to celebrate. It's in a surprise and delighted. It's not surprising disappointed. You know, even though this is the second time we're re-releasing Mario Galaxy, you know, like, don't fucking worry about it. Don't worry about it. Jesus. Bless. I know you're Mr. Mario, yeah. Yeah, I love Mario Galaxy. I love Mario Galaxy too. And so I love that the fact that they're finally re-releasing Galaxy 2. Them adding new storybook stuff, I think is so bizarre and weird. Yeah. I also, my, there's a conspiracy theory part of my brain that's like, are we leading to Galaxy 3? Is that a lot we're doing the Galaxy thing? Because like, I'm going back to the movie for a second, I am a little bit surprised that you're jumping
Starting point is 00:29:03 forward to Galaxy. Not that the Mario timeline is sacred by any means, but, you know, I'm like, oh, damn, that's like a big jump for where you could have gone. Like, you have, there's still a lot more meat on the bones for, I think, you know, getting Yoshi in there and like, you know, if you wanted to do the, the cupillings and stuff like that. Um, and so the fact that we're going straight into Galaxy, a Galaxy 3 would be pretty sick. I think that would be a great step for whatever the next 3D Mario game is, but I'm sure that's way further out. be displayed so beautifully on that new processing power of the switch two. Oh my God.
Starting point is 00:29:34 That shit looks so good. 100%. Mikey, anything to say about these guys? Yeah, I mean, I'm going to buy it added to my collection. Okay. Well, Mikey, I want to go right to you then with Mario Tennis Fever. That's right. There it was.
Starting point is 00:29:46 I got scared because I didn't like it. Aces let me down for what I wanted out of a Mario tennis game. Aces let me down. And this looks way more up my alley. You have 30 different rackets. to use here. They're called fever rackets, each with their own special abilities, and 38 playable characters, the most in series history. What did you think, Mike? Yeah, I mean, I get excited for all Mario sports games, Greg. This looks exactly like ACEs, but of course it will have new
Starting point is 00:30:14 and improvements. It will look sharper and cleaner, but of course it's more tennis. I'm excited for that. And also at the same time, a little let down by that. I would like us to explore a little more Mario Sports. I think we finally stepped out of the golf and tennis bubble with soccer and strikers. I would have loved to go to baseball or anything else. But, you know, tennis is just so easy to understand. It's easy to put in the game and just feel good all the time. And strikers did that. They're going to, or ACEs did that. They'll add a bunch more into this one making the nice upgraded visuals. And everyone's going to love it. I'm going to love it. So I'm not super mad. I'm just more disappointed that we're not exploring more. A lot of good modes in here
Starting point is 00:30:53 that I think will lead to some fun party modes and less plays out there, right? There are multiple modes to enjoy including tournament trial towers mix it up mode with wonder effects and adventure mode where Mario and friends are transformed into babies and must defeat monsters to return to normal plus experience joycon two motion controls with the swing mode of course this is coming out February
Starting point is 00:31:10 12th Andy are you stoked very very excited this was definitely like my favorite part of this presentation probably aside from the Hades to announcement yeah I think the I just really enjoy tennis video games as it is they just
Starting point is 00:31:27 one of my earliest memories of really getting into tennis games was tennis on the Game Boy Color, Mario Tennis was one of my favorite games ever. I wish we kind of could go back to something like that because that's what really got me excited about RPGs and going to the next tennis club because you got upgraded and you get to meet other characters there and everything. But yeah, I'm super pumped for this. I did enjoy. I probably put more time into tennis.
Starting point is 00:31:57 aces than a lot of other people, but, you know, was really let down by golf super rush. I'm just excited that visually, it looks really cool and impressive. Andy, I want that rematch. You'll get the rematch. You'll get it. Thank you. Yeah. Hell yeah. Get them. Bless, what about you?
Starting point is 00:32:15 Oh, yeah, I love tennis. So I love tennis. So I love tennis. I owned on NBC4 as a kid and, like, was super obsessed with it to the point where I would like, my thumbs would get sore by how hard I'm pressing the analog. on the N64 and so whenever you announce any Mario Tennis, I'm all the way in and honestly like coming off of tennis Aces, even though I enjoyed it a lot
Starting point is 00:32:35 it was one that came and went. It was one that I was obsessed with for two weeks and then I moved on and just never really came back to it over the years. This looks cool. I love the features. I love the whole like superpowered racket thing. I want to see more from like, you know, what that is and like the depth, how deep
Starting point is 00:32:51 they go with the different kinds of cool rackets you can use. The story mode, they've been doing these story modes in some of their like spin-off titles, including sports games and like even Mario Party Jamboree had an adventure thing. They, even though whenever they announced them,
Starting point is 00:33:06 they seem exciting. They always are flat. When they come out, they're always flat. But I'm hopeful again that they've heard all that criticism and that the adventure mode with the babies, I mean, could easily be stupid.
Starting point is 00:33:16 But like, I think it's a cool concept. I like the idea of introducing the babies. Super Rush was very disappointing, I'll say. Yeah, right. That was, yeah. For some reason,
Starting point is 00:33:24 I don't know, on Best Buy.com, Mario tennis Aces is being sold for $73.61. That sounds about it. Aces? That sounds about on track. Aces. Aces. The game that came out in 2018?
Starting point is 00:33:39 Nintendo Steel of Quality, you know? Right now, fever is being sold for 70 bucks. $69.99. That will go down to $60. Ah, nice. There you go. It's a nice old discount. Moving from there, we went into another often predicted, hey, what would they do for
Starting point is 00:33:53 Mario's 40th? we got the Super Mario Brothers Wonder Nintendo Switch 2 edition Plus meet up in Bella Bell Park I originally wrote Bella Bella Cool I think it would have been a better name personally
Starting point is 00:34:10 Of course Wonder This great looking game The hook here of course There's more multiplayer stuff They're adding to this one new modes and stuff Like collecting coins having the most lives playing tag There's other new content as well coming in spring 2026
Starting point is 00:34:24 Bless will you come back Oh yeah, for the new content, for sure. I really, really enjoyed Mario Wonder. I almost wish they had more, they focused more on the single player stuff than the multiplayer stuff. Sure. I just didn't care for the multiplayer aspect of Mario Wonder, but I mean, they're doing it all,
Starting point is 00:34:40 and so I can't really be upset with it. I think this is exciting. Yeah, again, Mario Wonder, one of the standby, hey, that's never leaving the Switch, because Ben loves playing it with me so much. And so what's interesting, obviously, is you progress in Wonder and the levels get more challenging. that's when it gets harder for Ben, he'll eventually lose interest.
Starting point is 00:34:58 Having these things are like, hey, do you want to hang out and play tag, run around and collect coins, yada, yada, like we're going to live in this. Him and I will not be leaving this, I'm sure, anytime soon. So that's exciting, but I do wonder in terms of single player stuff, Andy, how much you'll be getting out of it. I'm super pumped at least to just see how it looks on the newer hardware because I, this was one of, again, a very, very late entry to the Switch one catalog. and it was it's an example that you point to and go see switch one games can look amazing like like even on this old hardware they are still finding a way to get the most out of it and look gorgeous and beautiful and a lot of it is how far art style and art direction can take you uh i this was one that i never finished it and i thought this would be like a surefire this is so my shit because i love just
Starting point is 00:35:45 i love 2d mario side scrollers but yeah this is this is one that maybe i i i i i I will revisit whatever or whenever this, the DLC and kind of update is, because I really enjoyed it and I want to see how it looks now running on the newer hardware. Okay. Well, spring 2026, we'll find out. Mike, did you care about Wonder? Did you play Wonder? No, but I do appreciate the fun party games. I think that's a cool aspect of it of as much as I love running to the right and left.
Starting point is 00:36:11 I do appreciate a fun little Mario Party mini game. And I think adding that to the flavor of it all is a great little add-on for me. Now, Mike, even though you aren't into Wonder, I know. know you love wasting money. So I assume the talking flower that they announced here will be. After we saw Wonder, they announced, in fact, we are making an actual plastic talking flower from Super Mario Brothers Wonder. The official press release says, place one or two in your home to add a little extra fun to your day. These flowers will talk, and while they can't converse, sometimes they'll even talk on their own.
Starting point is 00:36:42 Prunzies, if you want them to. These talking flowers are planned to bloom in spring 2026 as well. Yeah, someone who owned a couple of Furbies that never shut up. I would love to have this flower. I wish they did converse with each other because man oh man, could you play some fun pranks? Yeah. I just have them talk to each other.
Starting point is 00:36:57 But yeah, I see Andy's Alarmo all the time and I get super jealous. So I'm going to buy this. Nice. Where are you going to put it on your desk? On your desk. Honestly, what we need to do is put on index to the cactus. Or hide under index filing cabinet
Starting point is 00:37:08 and lock it and throw away the key. So I was like, oh, what are you doing? I'll piss them off even more than usual. From there, we went to Yoshi in the Mysterious book. Of course, they started this one of, We saw the Yosh man, as we often do, and then it became, wait, is this Yoshi's island? Is this a remake? Is this Yoshi's story?
Starting point is 00:37:25 And instead found out it's something brand new, Yoshi and the mysterious book. One day on the island where Yoshi and his friends live, a peculiar talking book named Mr. E. Suddenly falls from the sky. These mysterious books pages contain information about unusual creatures. So Yoshi decides to jump in and help investigate. Join Yoshi on a new adventure when Yoshi and the Mysterious book launches on Nintendo Switch 2 in spring, 2026. Andy's stunning art style. Beautiful art style.
Starting point is 00:37:52 And one of these games that I feel is super directed to kids because I don't really know if there's a whole lot happening gameplay and challenging wise, but just mechanically kind of just, you know, tickles the brain and says like, you know, how can these things interact with each other? How do these elements of the world evolve? I thought it looked beautiful.
Starting point is 00:38:14 Is it what I want? No, but I'm happy to. exists. Like I would have much preferred if this were kind of more of a follow-up to a Yoshi story. I think that would have been really amazing. But it's just, you know, another sort of showing to show that Nintendo isn't really concerned about not getting weird, you know. Is this not a follow-up to Yoshi's story? Like spiritual successor-wise? I get spiritual successor-wise. But I just didn't see a whole lot of like the, you know, the sort of challenge platform. To me, it felt more like you will.
Starting point is 00:38:48 be side-scrolling and jumping and hopping on things, but also just look at the way the world interacts. It felt more like a like an adventure. I know this sounds weird, but it feels a lot like a demo of getting this thing and how does it work with that thing and how we're going to solve this part where we do
Starting point is 00:39:04 blah blah blah. I don't think it's like I look at this and this looks a step above something like Kirby's Epic Yarn, which I thought was just like, oh, you can't die, you're just playing whatever. Yeah. Like I can still see me and Ben playing this and Ben getting frustrated at the points where you can't do things. I guess as I saw as I rewatch more of the gameplay
Starting point is 00:39:20 but okay yeah maybe this is more traditional to what I would expect but um give him the one and let him apologize to Yoshi uh hey Yoshu I would really like to apologize
Starting point is 00:39:31 I don't know who's voicing you in the movie what's going on with that Serran Carpenter so I don't apologize Jason Mammaa Jason Mammao What's up I'm Yoshi Awesome
Starting point is 00:39:40 What was the line he had in Justice League? My man My man My man My Mario From there, we exited the Mario-centric world and moved into more random Nintendo stuff. I wish we stayed there. Really quick, yeah, before we go.
Starting point is 00:39:59 The Kyoto Marathon will have the special Nintendo Bibb. Bet you we see that on eBay, fetching a pretty high price. How much to get you to go run the marathon? Greg, you send me over there? I'll fucking dominate that marathon. Price it out for me and we'll see how much. And then we'll do a Twitch stream to raise money for it. Let's do it.
Starting point is 00:40:16 We're famously ran it. Half of a half marathon. I did that one. No training. No training. I've run right now. And he walks like Robocop for the next two months. Was it half of a half?
Starting point is 00:40:29 Everything was so tight. From there, we moved into Stormlancers. This was part of a block of games coming to the original Nintendo Switch. This is a 2D rogue light coming today, actually. Step into Crypt. Crypt. I see it. What's happening?
Starting point is 00:40:46 Cryptia. The master swift sword played nimble evasions and fluid acrobatics in this 2D side-scrolling rogue-like adventure explore a living alien plant travel to its fractured core and fix all of reality before it collapses. Adventure alone are with friends in a two-player, couch co-op and fight through merciless enemies, inspired by 80s sci-fi anime. Anybody? I don't like the look of it.
Starting point is 00:41:10 I don't like I want to be into it, but something about the, and it's mainly just the visual style, like the harsh shadows, the contrast. It's just, it's not quite working for me. Yeah. Not my genre to begin with, but yeah, I'm with you of like, I started as like, I don't know if I like this art style that much. Yeah. It screens very much like Switch One game. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:32 In terms of what it's trying to do visually. For me, it's just the, the, how competitive the indie market is nowadays, right? We're like, I look at this and I'm like, oh, man, I love a rogulight, but also I have so many rogulights to choose from where Andy mentioned windblown the other day. And I'm like, man, if I'm doing a co-op. roguelight thing right now. I want to hop into that. Yeah. From there, we stayed in the Nintendo Switch one area and went to Dinkum.
Starting point is 00:41:54 Maybe Dinkum. Dinkum. Dinkum. Dinkum. Dinkum. This is a survival life sim set in Australia. It's been on PC for a while. Joe actually played it and chimed into the chat saying she enjoyed it. November 5th for this one. Make the wilderness your home. Plant crops, catch fish, gather resources, and more and use your wits when creatures attack. A free demo of the game is available today.
Starting point is 00:42:15 as a timed console exclusive on Switch November 5th. That's trending 2 and Dinkum same year, Australia getting a lot of love. Oh, I governor. Yeah, night. Cool. It's the usual one where I look at it. I'm like, ah, no.
Starting point is 00:42:29 In a different world, sure, but no, I'm not going to jump in that one. From there, we went to an interesting name. Popicum. Pop you come. Pop you come. Pop you come. Pop, you come. Save a mysterious plan in this co-op-op-op-op-game for up to four players as an adventure
Starting point is 00:42:47 to summon to an unknown to come into an unknown planet to embark on a puzzle solving fantastical adventure. Color plays a crucial role. Face enemies and overcome challenges with color switching abilities, match three shooting,
Starting point is 00:42:58 and more. Anybody care? This shit looks awesome. Looks really cool. I guess it already came out on Steam. Yeah, it's been on Steam. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:06 I think it looks so cool. I had no idea this game existed, but what a great concept that we've seen done before, and it just reminds me of a lot of the mini games in split fiction where you do have you shoot the blue thing to open the blue gate and then your your friend with the red has to shoot the red thing to activate that it just seems like yeah super basic and it could lead to a lot of fun i think it looks awesome
Starting point is 00:43:32 it's got that splatoon vibe to it no wonder you like it you sicko yeah uh from there we went to to toomo dachi life living the dream uh you're making me's and you're putting them in this little world and see them interact. It's spring 2026. Like I said, Nintendo Switch one game. Choose their personality and voice and help your me characters. Enjoy their island life. However they see fit, you can
Starting point is 00:43:57 see what's on their minds, help themselves problems, watch them interact. The more I watched of this, the more I was like, yeah, this is going to be fun to fuck around in. Make a bunch of people like the chat obviously popped off that we need to make a kind of funny island and see how they interact. For me, it strikes me, Mike, as a game I would love to see you stream and I would love to be
Starting point is 00:44:13 a part of that stream. But Yeah, it's one of those of like, you know how much I love the Sims. I love city building. I love the character creation when I get with Andy and see how talented he is with it. And yeah, it's one of those of like, I shoe this game off, but really deep down I know it's like, I would love to give this a try and could see myself getting lost in this for a hundred hours if I really wanted to. It has the making of everything that I want in one of these kind of games. It's so, it's just such a corky, goofy little game.
Starting point is 00:44:42 and I don't, I still don't know, you could show me seven more trailers and I still wouldn't be sure of what's happening, you know what I mean? It's when they start talking, I'm like, I don't need that. I didn't need that at all. Oh, the voice detect, the text of voice or whatever. I just love the tone of the humor.
Starting point is 00:44:58 I remember when they announced the first, or the previous Tomodachi life on 3DS, I didn't have a 3DS, so I was kind of bummed because I was like, I really do want to play this game. And so since it's coming out again in this version, I'm excited, but also I think the main thing that gets me in is like, it just seems like a fucking dumb ass game.
Starting point is 00:45:13 Yeah, for sure. A lot of weird shit going on. Yeah, that's my thing. Is it going to be fun for an afternoon? Or is it going to be something I come back for? You know what I mean? Samson L in the Super Chat says, my wife went crazy for this one.
Starting point is 00:45:24 She had her ex-boyfriend in her 3DS version and can't wait to mess him up again in HD, L-O-L. I'll look into that. Samson, don't cross your wife's lover in the game so you can mess with them. I love it. I'm interested. But I'm worried if it would actually stick around.
Starting point is 00:45:38 But we'll find out in spring 2026. From there, we got Combat Legacy Collection. Of course, we've heard a lot about this game, but saw it here, October 30th, digitally, December 12th, physically on the Nintendo Switch. It has the games, it has the documentary. Again, a cool thing for, you know, the history of games and whatnot. But all right. Hell yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:59 From there, we kept it rolling into Final Fantasy 7, remake Intergrade, coming out January 2020, no, no, January 22nd, 2026. Ran all that together. A long time coming. I assume everybody's happy. Yeah. Yeah, I'm stoked for, you know, there's such a gigantic market out there of switch-only players
Starting point is 00:46:21 and for them to be able to play one of the coolest RPGs ever, pump for them. From there, we went into Links, banner of the Spark. Of course, this is a game that's been out for a while to joke around here when they originally said, hey, we're debuting this game on whatever Jeff Keely stage and they put the O next to it. It was a gear. O Link? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:40 But then it was like, oh, no, I think that's part of the logo. I was like, that's terrible treatment. And they fixed it. They got out of that and fixed it. Linked banner of the Spark. It supports mouse controls on the Switch 2 and is out today. I love that the old things are touched on for this game and not anything about the game. Nothing about the game.
Starting point is 00:46:53 We can tell you anything about how this game plays. Those developers are stoked that we remember. I think it looks cool as a, this sort of rogue light top down, Hades style, um, action sort of video game. But then they, they kind of just kept on showing more. about what you can do with farming and building houses. Like, I mean, all this should be so my shit, but you're throwing a lot of me in this video game.
Starting point is 00:47:20 And I don't know if I am even rational and complaining about it. It's just like, I don't know. I don't know. We'll see. Yeah. I don't know how people feel about the, you know, because the game came out of rate. I don't know how people are feeling about it. I think people enjoyed it enough, but I can't.
Starting point is 00:47:37 I'm speaking out of school on that one. I'm looking right now. Okay, Lynn. I see a 9 out of 10. on Steam. There you go. See, people are enjoying that one. Speaking, though, of games that are killing it on Steam, this is a big one. We've been waiting for it. Hades 2.
Starting point is 00:47:48 Got an amazing trailer here. Most importantly, though, it got a release date. Finally, September 25th, it will be coming to Switch 2, or, and, let me read officially, launch his first for consoles digitally on Switch 2 and Hades and Switch 2, and Hades 2 comes to Nintendo
Starting point is 00:48:06 Switch on September 25th. So there you go. Yeah. Yes, okay, great. We love this one so much. Let me read the entire blurb here. It's a longer one, but we love Hades. You should love Hades, too. Battle Beyond the Underworld and Hades 2, Nintendo Switch 2 edition, an action-packed rogue-like dungeon crawler
Starting point is 00:48:22 that reacts to your every setback and accomplishment. As the princess of the underworld, you'll explore a bigger, deeper, mythical world and vanquish the forces of the Titan of Time with the full might of Olympus behind you. Experience the game at 120 frames per second in TV mode on Nintendo Switch 2 and enjoy cross-save compatibility between Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch 2, and the PC version.
Starting point is 00:48:44 Hades 2, Nintendo Switch 2 edition launches first for consoles digitally on Nintendo Switch 2, and Hades 2 comes to Nintendo Switch on September 25th. With digital pre-orders later today on my Nintendo Store website and the e-shop, physical versions of the game will be available November 20th. Andy, 80-some hours? You already got 80-some hours than you said? 82 hours, yeah. Of course, sir.
Starting point is 00:49:07 And super pumped to put more hours into this video game. is as good as video games get. Hades 1 was really kind of groundbreaking for showing a lot of people who Super Giant is after they'd been putting out bangers already. And Hades 2 I think is
Starting point is 00:49:24 yeah, I think it's as good as it gets, man. This game rocks. There's so much depth to it. There's so there's so much variety in builds and power-ups. And it's one of those games where whenever you stop to talk to an NPC,
Starting point is 00:49:40 I'm at the point now 82 hours in where I'm like I need you to not have new stuff to tell me every time and that's a stupid thing to complain about
Starting point is 00:49:48 but I can't believe there's still more that you're saying that I've never heard like this is insane type shit with the amount of NPCs there are
Starting point is 00:49:57 and the amount of things that you all can converse about it's wow this game rules boss fights are amazing it is a I mean that's the template
Starting point is 00:50:06 for what you want to do if you're an indie studio making a like a a top down action game, you know? Yeah. I forget where I left off as far as, like, hours-wise, but like when they first released this in early access, right,
Starting point is 00:50:17 I think we all played a bunch. And my thing was, all right, I got to stop because I don't want to, you know, spoil my dinner here. I'm going to wait until the full release is out. See, I went to full other way, right? Where when Hades 1 went to early access, I love Super Giant, jumped in,
Starting point is 00:50:30 played a bunch, was happy with it. And then when it launched fully, I'd already ate so much that I didn't really go and engage with it. So this one, I'm cold turkey. I've not touched it used to. I'm like, I wanted to wait for one point. And I'll say like, Hades for the early access portion I played of it, already. I'm like, I like this more than Hades one, which is a high bar to reach, but they already
Starting point is 00:50:48 reached it. It gets better and better with every update. I can't believe the amount of stuff they keep on adding. Michael? Yeah, Greg, I'm similar to you as I played a little bit of the early access and then I put it down knowing that when this fully drops, I'm going to be all in on this. And so I'm excited to jump right in right away here, right around the corner too, exciting. Can't wait.
Starting point is 00:51:08 From there, we move to a little Kirby Air. riders update the big news here two new amoeboes you can get kirby and warp star and bandana waddle d and wing star they launched the same day as the game on november 20th they are sold separately you can tap them to summon figure players in game that can then train you can train and level up you can even swap riders just like in the game and choose your rider and machine look out for more kirby air rider amoebo updates in the future and that's not all a second kirby air riders direct hosted by the games director mr zachari is coming in the future. What more is there to say about this game?
Starting point is 00:51:43 I don't know. It's Zachari. He loves a dog. What if they're like, we're going to show you here, Andy's dog shit gameplay. We recorded everyone's gameplay. Let's see the worst of the worst turns and it's Andy.
Starting point is 00:51:54 I could tell that the Nintendo employees behind me were just like, God, this guy's just not doing well. I think about it sometimes when a PR person's watching me play a game and like I'm not having fun. Like, oh, this preview is going to be rough. I'm going to put it in a notebook so they know what to look out of this.
Starting point is 00:52:08 Anybody else got Kurt? Are you going to buy the amoeboes, anybody? Hell no. I do think they're pretty cool, though. I like the... Hell no. You're going to get them, Mike? No, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:52:19 I like the Kirby one. I love Kirby enough that I will probably get that after, you know, I have the, I have a figurine from Good Smile, the one who make all the Induroys and stuff. They have one of him wrapped around the car. Yeah, yeah, yeah. The Kirby carby. You know, yeah, in a forgotten land. Kirby, the car.
Starting point is 00:52:41 Kirby, he's like, fucking president. Yeah, I just think Kirby fucking fucking. Well, mouthful. When he mouthful modes. But they should do this for Mario Carts. There's your million dollar idea. What, Meebos, you can switch in the cars. You can switch different car bases with different races.
Starting point is 00:52:55 Now we're cooking. Now we're cooking. Now we're cooking. Now we're cooking. You just added so much to the revenue right there, right? Thank you. Yeah. That's an expansion.
Starting point is 00:53:05 Yeah. I bet you. Honestly, here's something to tack on to your thing. I feel like whenever the year anniversary of Mario Kart is, we'll get that in addition to whatever the DLC is. Smart. Smart. Resolute in the super chatting,
Starting point is 00:53:21 even though we're going to get to in a little bit, does have the breaking news that the DKDLC is out and available now. How much you think it is, Andy? It costs mine. Yeah, it's a paid deal. This is the one they started saying paid DLC. 20. Okay.
Starting point is 00:53:34 Mikey? I'm going to go with $10. Bless me. $20. $19.99. Good job, everybody. In the actual presentation, we moved on to High Rule Warriors, Age of Imprisonment. Of course, this will be the first Mousseau game, Andy ever plays.
Starting point is 00:53:49 It is arriving November 6th, 2025. November 6th, 20205. Right down, make room. Might be busy. I got plans that day. I'm weirdly excited for this one. Me too. Just to see, like, Zelda's perspective of this story, you know,
Starting point is 00:54:07 know her being sent back in time, the teases of the, like, kind of OG OG hero that we learn a little bit about in Tears of the Kingdom. I'm excited for some more stuff in terms of gameplay. We'll see if it clicks with me. I'm not the biggest Muso guy, but I'm always impressed with how they combine Muso elements into these crossover games like Persona and the other Zelda ones. So I'm, I'm interested to play. I'll play as Raru, you know?
Starting point is 00:54:34 I talked about this last time. And this Korok? holy shit, I forgot about this. Yeah, he got a little leaf hat, a little cowboy hat. I talked about this last time, but on paper, like scientifically and like statistically, this should be my shit. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:54:49 Because, like, I love a game like vampire survivors when it, when it tickles your brain, it makes you feel good by seeing your ability affecting 7,000 enemies. And you're like, oh, that feels good to have this new power up that's going to cover up so much range. And now I expanded the range. radius of this move now or whatever. And it, Muso games have always just been that in a 3D world.
Starting point is 00:55:12 And I don't know why that's never quite put to me. Wow, that's a really interesting perspective. You're right. But this just, yeah, this seems like, all right, I got to give it a shot because I'm always, whenever I'm in a game and I have a move that affects a wide radius of enemies, I get so pumped up. And this should make a lot of sense for me.
Starting point is 00:55:31 So hopefully I can give this one a shot. Who's the Lou Boo of the, uh, Zelda world here, Barrett, that you're going to be fighting. Who's the badass in this? Like the hard boss? Yeah, who's the super hard boss that's going to be like the guy you never want to go up against? What do you mean by Lou Booh? What is that?
Starting point is 00:55:48 Dynasty Warriors. He's a boss that appears. It's like. Because they always take like. Lou Boo. Real life. Is Lou Boo like the final bus? Or is they just like a ridiculously hard, hard boss like early on?
Starting point is 00:55:59 Final boss. It will probably be Gannon. I'll say that. He's going to be one of them horsemen. one of them horse dudes. Oh, the Lionel Richie. Oh my God. Remember when I bought one of those and dominated it?
Starting point is 00:56:11 God, I mean, it took you like 60 minutes. That's what they call you. Do we remember that? I don't know. I don't recall. Bear remembered because Barrett knew. No, well, I wasn't on that stream. It was you and Nick.
Starting point is 00:56:25 Nick was watching you fight this Lionel for 16 minutes. Nick was talking about fucking psych. Yeah, and Femdoms. From there, we moved on to Dragon Quest 7. reimagined. We'll bring in a super chat from kebabs who says is Dragon Quest 7 a remake,
Starting point is 00:56:40 a remaster or reimagining? The official description reads, Rediscover! A tale of plucky companions brimming with joy and heartbreak as you discover the truth behind why your kingdom is the only remaining island in the world.
Starting point is 00:56:54 The game features a new art style that blends diorama visuals with Akira Toriyama's iconic character designs, as well as a streamlined main story. Moonlighting system that allows two vocation to be equipped at once and more.
Starting point is 00:57:07 Experience a timeless classic in a whole new way when Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined launches on Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch, February 5th, 2026. You can pre-order to receive a costume for the hero along with helpful items
Starting point is 00:57:19 in the game. So I have no idea. It sounds... I mean, I'll say a remake, right? It's got to be a remake. If we're talking about... But it says reimagined, okay? Here's what I'll say.
Starting point is 00:57:31 It doesn't fucking matter. Damn. Look as what's on screen. Do you want that shit or not? for fancy critic purposes. I'm so done with fucking Roger. We're already deep in the Discord.
Starting point is 00:57:41 Get the fuck out of the Discord. For fancy critic purposes, I'd be like, this is cool. I feel like this is all right. Yeah, this is a full on remake. Yeah, 100%. The only aspect I don't like of this game taking the fantasy critic out of it is this man's face. It looks weird.
Starting point is 00:57:56 Oh, I love him. I think it's cute. I think he sticks out like a sore thumb compared to everybody else. He's too grown for that art. As much as I love the Toriyama art style. I don't know if it is fully 100% translating to the Chee-B-Fide. Everybody else has a little baby body.
Starting point is 00:58:13 Now, totally off topic, as I was editing the Silk Song Marathon, and Barrett was in the chat, really annoyed with Mike and Roger, as I was also annoyed by them in the room. Mike goes, Barrett, you got to be here, Matt. You should be here right now,
Starting point is 00:58:29 Barry, because me, Andy, Roger, we're conspiring for fantasy. He was like, but you're not here. We're cheating. We're deep in there Just straight up admitting that they're cheating. We're cheating. We're cheating. Things are going to happen. The Rosalina storybook is also now up on the Nintendo store 2499 releases November 25th.
Starting point is 00:58:50 That's a good price tag. That's not bad for it. Yeah, for a kid's like look at it. I'm going to buy this for Ben because that's a hard cover. How many pages? I mean, like, I want a novel. I mean, again, I think it would all be shocked at the amount children's books cost. I look at 24-9 down
Starting point is 00:59:06 I'm like, oh, that's reasonable for like what they're putting into it. But yeah, no page count on this one for you, of course. Sorry, I can't help you there. I can read the description, but... This is the tale of the younger. It's just four pages. Back to actually what we were doing
Starting point is 00:59:18 in order as we did it. Guess what, everybody? The Nintendo Today app still exists. It's still getting updates. Don't worry about it. Thank you very much, Barrett. There is a new Kirby theme that is being added, so that's huge.
Starting point is 00:59:30 And there's going to be more Kirby news. They did make a big deal about it being all about this. Like, all right, I guess. Thank you for that. And then they went to the big one. They said, now we have some news for Nintendo Switch online plus expansion pack members. This is where you should all get hyped.
Starting point is 00:59:46 And what did they fucking do? These psychos are bringing back the virtual boy. They're bringing back the virtual boy. And it was that thing where it's like, oh, okay, virtual boy, Nintendo classics. That makes sense. They started showing stuff. The games, like, that's cool. I wonder how to work on Switch.
Starting point is 01:00:00 Then these crazy motherfuckers announced that there will be a, a virtual boy headset you buy and put your switch into. Required. At the very end, they're like, there's also going to be a cardboard version. But to play these fucking games, they want you to go buy this. I'm going to read the official description while this goes. Select games from Nintendo's stereoscopic 3D system. Virtual Boy are coming to Nintendo Classics exclusively for Nintendo Switch Online plus
Starting point is 01:00:23 expansion pack members. To play, you'll need JoyCon or JoyCon 2 controllers and the dedicated accessory based on the original Virtual Boy hardware, Stereocopic 3D included. when inserting the Nintendo Switch 2 or Nintendo Switch system, dive into titles like Mario's tennis, Galactic Pinball, Tell Robe Boxer, and more as they release over time. Virtual Boy Nintendo Classics comes to Nintendo Switch online
Starting point is 01:00:47 and expansion pack February 17th, 2026. The accessory needed to play Virtual Boy Nintendo Classics, as well as a cardboard version, will be available to pre-purchase on the My Nintendo Store in the future. Hell yeah. It's hilarious. It's awesome.
Starting point is 01:01:03 It's weird as hell. and you know aside from you know them selling you that piece of hardware which the diehards will be buying um i you know i think it's i think it's pretty natural to go what the fuck are they doing but i think it's good that these games are otherwise it's not playable anywhere and that's it's kind of cool to go and take a little history lesson and go oh what was up with these games because i've personally never played any of these i know that they exist, you know, through nefarious means. What? Allegedly?
Starting point is 01:01:37 But I think it's really cool that these are possible to now look at and they're not just gone to history, you know, they're not gone to time anymore. No, it is cool. And I do appreciate Nintendo taking care of it and giving you options and making, even, because I think so many people, making a GameCube controller that works with the Switch 2 is a weird thing. But they do it because they know they have that kind of audience, that kind of nostalgia, that kind of lineage. In the super chats over here, Violet's archive resubs, and says, I had a virtual boy back in the day actually looking forward to this.
Starting point is 01:02:07 So it's like, yeah, I'm glad it's there. I think, again, it's funny too. And it's also, Nintendo's been open about, like, yeah, that was a miss on our part. You know what I mean? Like, they're still celebrating their entire lineup. Would you like to know the buy-in price for getting to experience virtual boy
Starting point is 01:02:21 on the Nintendo Switch console? Yeah, how much is this accessory? 99 is where I'm putting it. 80 bucks. $1.12. How about the cardboard version as well? 80 bucks for the cardboard, Cardboard better be. Cardboard 20.
Starting point is 01:02:34 30. 20. Cardboard version is 2499. Okay. The Big Boy Virtual Boy is 99.99. Crushed it. $100 from the goat. That's for sickles though.
Starting point is 01:02:49 I mean, again, I look at it and it's a piece of hardware. A pro controller's 80. 90 or whatever now. I'm not saying that's worth it, but I don't think that's crazy. No, yeah. I think it would be crazy to buy it. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:03:03 I've never heard anyone be like, I'm such a virtual boy fan. I miss it. Like, I'll be honest. I'm lost. I'm lost with the pricing conversation. Yeah. I think just for overall, right? Even for the Galaxy games, I'm kind of like, I don't know what I would price it.
Starting point is 01:03:16 I don't, like, I feel like pay what you want. I'm not buying this shit. Yeah. I feel like mostly all ain't buying this shit. The people who want to pay the $100, like, cool. Like, go do that. It does, it makes it stereoscopic, right?
Starting point is 01:03:29 So there's a screen inside that goes over your switch. Like, I think it's, I guess but the cardboard. I don't know. Can you see what you're looking at or is that just? Yeah, hold on. We're going to keep talking about. Okay, sorry.
Starting point is 01:03:43 I like that. I will say, how you put on your desk. Dee Davis says it'll flop like the OG virtual boy. Oh, lull, JK says. Like,
Starting point is 01:03:50 I mean, it's going to sell out. Yeah, see, there's lenses on it. So it's like, and again, and again,
Starting point is 01:03:57 I'm not, I'm not carrying water for it. I wouldn't fucking buy this. You shouldn't probably either. But it's cool that it exists for weirdos like Craig Harris. I don't know. Yeah, I'm not surprised by the pricing, though. Like, they, no.
Starting point is 01:04:10 Whatever you think the price should be tack $40 onto it, you know. Marty Hearn says, why can't I cut my own cardboard and use that? Do you have the lenses? I don't, you know what I mean? But I think you can. You probably couldn't make your own thing if you want it. I'm sure there will be a DIY version to play fucking 14 bad games. Like, again, well, let's not get caught up on what we're doing.
Starting point is 01:04:29 You're buying into a meme. They're meming you. Yeah. But I'm excited to see stupid ass tim at his desk playing. this shit. Make some videos is dumb ass. Labo has like a VR thing
Starting point is 01:04:39 to it. I wonder if you could just use that or like retro did it somehow. Again, yeah, once it's out and people
Starting point is 01:04:44 are like, this is just fucking these get two magnifying glasses from the dollar store. Reminder bless Labo is not compatible.
Starting point is 01:04:51 Oh, you're right. We're switch to. Yeah, that's a good call. From there, we started getting some versions of things
Starting point is 01:04:58 that are, you know, we got a lot, whatever. We got Fatal Frame 2 Crimson Butterfly remake coming early 2026.
Starting point is 01:05:04 got nothing to say other than these are the ways to gauge future entries into series and I thought it looked better than what I would have I guess I'm just so trained to how switch games normally look that it's like oh man that's right like they're they're finally a bit more updated yeah and things don't look like terrible most of the time uh from there we got a whole bunch of Nintendo Switch two additions we got one piece pirate warriors four coming fall 2025 you're excited Mike yeah I love one one piece. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:05:35 The greatest thing ever. Overcooked 2 is coming holiday 2025. What's cool about that one is it's using camera play so you can have your little faces on there as you run around doing your thing. Make the screen even more crazy. Me and the first were talking mad shit about
Starting point is 01:05:48 Overcooked recently. That's crazy. I love Overcooked is one of the greatest games of all time. I hate it. I hate it, dude. It's because you're bad at it, yeah. It's just, if anything, it tells me how much more I have a mental disorder. Like, it just accentuates like,
Starting point is 01:06:01 Andy, you can't compartmentalize anything. I didn't talk to Andy because whatever Andy got, I think I got to. I got to figure that out. For a whole bunch of sicko's big news, Stardu Valley is getting Nintendo Switch 2 version Fall 2025. This will include mouse controls and four-player split screen. I know how much people love Stardu around here. That's cool to jump over and have that information there. And then Human Fall Flat, spring 2026 getting a Switch 2 addition with a Switch 2 addition with mouse controls as well.
Starting point is 01:06:28 From there, we moved on to see some Power Wash simulator 2 footage. This is coming fall 2025. Still no date yet. Like we've got the window, but we're still dancing around locking in a date. Waiting on this one, can't wait. You'll be washing when it's ready, they say, okay? I'll be washing and Andy will be like, Mike, you're heavily breathing
Starting point is 01:06:46 because we haven't spoken seven minutes. Mike, you're breathing. No, I'm not. Shut up. During our, I need you all understand. During our Silk Song Marathon, Mike was playing, well, it was embargoed at the time.
Starting point is 01:07:00 He was playing Borderlands off screen. While in the room kind of chatting and talking, and for a while you just hear the breathing and I was like Mike you're breathing really loud right now he was like no stop it and then he decided to record a video so he could monitor and listen back to his breathing I am I'm doing it
Starting point is 01:07:15 the results of that may surprise you from my own doctors for my own doctors well Mike stay on that microphone because up next him on TikTok up next it happened Sweika game planet the hit puzzle game returns in outer space collide matching fruit to evolve
Starting point is 01:07:32 them into larger fruit and higher scores drop fruit towards the center of the planet to create as many big watermelons, Sweka as possible, and net bonus points by triggering new super evolution combos. Sweke game plan on Nintendo Switch 2 also features an exclusive local four-player co-op mode with GameShare.
Starting point is 01:07:48 Svika GamePlanet launches on Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch is a timed exclusive this winter. Yeah, this rocks, Greg, we're out of the jar and now we're just kind of floating around this cool little planet. I can't wait to play more of it. Four-player co-op is really dope. They have a two-player split-screen mode. We're kind of battling each other for a high score that me and Kevin have already been playing.
Starting point is 01:08:08 But now that we can team up together, that's going to be a blast. Sweeniega game, fantastic. Everybody loves Sweeneying a game. Everybody. Everyone. It was huge. I remember it's huge. No, I've not shown it to Ben yet.
Starting point is 01:08:18 Oh, Ben might freak. Yeah. This could expand his mind. Yeah. They get really into fruits. Dude. Hey. That's the last thing my bank account needs right now.
Starting point is 01:08:26 This is what happened yesterday, right? Because this kid, I don't know if you all know, as parents you go broke buying berries and fruit. It's all these kids want to eat. We bought a. a crate of fucking mango from Costco, right? I love mango too, of course. Yesterday,
Starting point is 01:08:39 this fucking bottomless pit of a son, right? Has his chicken nuggies, has his mac and cheese, and has his carrots, and then he's like, I want mango. So I cut up this mango and I give it to him while he's watching TV because we were hanging out in the kitchen with Jen's sister. And then he marches back in,
Starting point is 01:08:57 he goes, I didn't want this mango. I want it. And I'm like, what did you want? He's like, I want the dried mango. And I was like, oh, okay, in this motherfucker hands me the empty mole and I go no no no no no you don't yell at me about the mango if you ate the mango and then he starts laughing I'm like I'm like I'm going to
Starting point is 01:09:14 walk into the rooms eating coal up next was finally a release date for Metroid Prime for Beyond it is coming out December 4th 2025 after an unexpected accident Samus finds herself transported to the mysterious
Starting point is 01:09:33 planet Vyros. Scan your surroundings for clues, make the most of your equipment and weapons, and use Samus' newfound psychic abilities and her technologically advanced bike, the Viola, to transfer or traverse, I'm sorry, and explore the environment. You'll be every tool at your disposal
Starting point is 01:09:49 to survive and escape Vue Ross. December 4th, also coming to switch one the same day. Them setting her up on the bike? Awesome, awesome. Then this footage of her on the bike and I was like, ooh, in the empty desert? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:10:04 Oh, no. This doesn't look... This ain't it. Yeah, lighting doesn't look awesome. There's only so much you can do in it. I think the best a desert has ever looked in a video game is Monster Hunter Wilds. Dude, I was going to say that. With the cloud cover and stuff like that.
Starting point is 01:10:19 It's hard to make a desert look awesome because there's nothing to cast shadows or anything like that. But, yeah, I really hope... Her driving into this place in the dark and the thunder and lightning, that looked awesome. If it was just like you get on the bike to go from one area to the other,
Starting point is 01:10:32 Awesome. 100%. Yeah. It does seem like it's just going to be one of the modes of transportation between zones. But otherwise, yeah, finally we got a date and I'm stoked to play this video game. How do we feel about the date? Blessing at AOE Jr.? I mean, you look at Nintendo's calendar and I think this is kind of where we predicted, right?
Starting point is 01:10:51 The other months looked like they're filling up. It does bum me out that is going to slightly miss that, like, game of the year for like the game awards and stuff. Well, like, you know, it'll be in our game of the year and we'll talk about it, right? Um, let me, we'll see. The game will have to be a bang. It'll be running for our game. The discussions. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:11:07 It'll be a game that we're like, okay, well, we got to play this to see if it's going to be in our top 10. Uh, but other than that, right, like, I'm down for a December release. I feel like December usually gives us the time. Dude, I want that amibo. That's going to be at least $34.99. Yeah, the mebo, another large, a large amoebo of her on the bike. Very, very cool.
Starting point is 01:11:23 I like that one, too. Um, yeah, available numbers in November 6th as well. Uh, we got a super chat from Ambrose. Ambrosia Jam. Ambrosia jam I got there in the end. It's all lowercase. I just can't keep up. Metroid Tron and Beyond. I like that.
Starting point is 01:11:39 I like that too. Mike, are you going to play Metroid for? Yeah, can't wait. Okay. I'm surprised that I dropped off of the recent Metroid remaster. I played about three hours that I enjoyed it. I think I got a little lost and I put it down. But I've been putting a lot more time and love into the switch lately.
Starting point is 01:11:56 So I wouldn't be surprised if I'd tell you, hey, I went back and I played this in preparation for this one. Okay. Good stuff. From there, a surprise, everybody. Donkey Kong Bonanza, DLC, DK Island, and Emerald Rush. Bless, you didn't see it coming. I didn't see it coming. Even as the trailer started and you get the, hey, here's like a beachy area.
Starting point is 01:12:17 The D.K. Ile music from D.K. 64 kicked in. And I didn't know what to think. Because I was like, I don't think this song is in a level in the original. So it wasn't until we get the shot of the actual DK. Island where I'm like, oh, damn, they're actually doing it. super cool you know this was one that on kjee the other day i was like
Starting point is 01:12:35 no i don't think we're going to get dk bananza dLC at least this early mainly because for mario odyssey we never really got a big like paid dLC thing we got free updates we got like you know features here and there but them putting in the dk island them adding in this roglight mode speaks to my heart as somebody who loves dk k love dk 64 love dk benanza and then also loves rogolites right
Starting point is 01:12:57 like this is kind of a match bait in heaven for me so and i think this looks really cool Yeah, paid DLC, $20. You'll barrel around with Donkey Kong and Pauline on DK Island, home to some familiar faces. Once you finish the main game story, Void Kong will offer you a position in Void Company, collecting as much Emerald Ore as you can in Emerald Rush, both on DK Island and in the layers from the main game.
Starting point is 01:13:16 In each run of this new mode, you'll collect fossils to gain helpful perks for different effects and smash Banandium gems to power up D.K. with different skills. Play this mode to unlock new fashions, collectable statues that can be displayed on D.K. Island and more. Of course, like we said, $20. It is available right now. Andy, will you be jumping in?
Starting point is 01:13:36 Oh, gosh. I just think there's too many things to be playing right now. I would love to. I never even beat the core game. And I know that's kind of a sin because I... I guess in my mind, it's not the greatest way to be thinking, but I'm like, it'll make our top 10 anyway.
Starting point is 01:13:53 It'll be way high up there anyway. So like, yeah, I don't need to add extra points to it. Let me play something else. But I know it's fantastic. I just, I think there was like just other things out. Sure, of course. Mikey, you coming back for the DLC? Oh, hell yeah.
Starting point is 01:14:07 I have to beat the game still, but I can't wait to play this. I had a lot of fun with what I played. I just never returned to it. I'm the same way. I love Donkey Kong. It is in my game of the year conversation. I have not finished it though. And so coming back and having more stuff to do is always exciting.
Starting point is 01:14:21 After Donkey Kong, we got a brand new Pokemon game. Pokemon, Popopia. Plays Ditto, who was transformed to, look like a human to shape an empty land into a beautiful space for a variety of Pokemon. Learn new moves from Pokemon you meet to expand and create a paradise. Collect berries, rocks, and wood, build
Starting point is 01:14:40 furniture, grow vegetables and fields you've tilled, create homes for Pokemon you meet and more. Pokemon Popopia takes shape on Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026. What the fuck? What the fuck? I do not like I just don't like
Starting point is 01:14:57 ditto taking on a human form and then walking around like a fucking weirdo. We could have just played as Ditto, you know? Yeah, it's interesting. You bring it up. I like it if you go further on because Ditto will absorb the powers of different Pokemon to affect the environment, right? You saw them becoming hit, Hitman Chan, hit Mchan to punch the gravel away.
Starting point is 01:15:18 And so like, I see why they're doing that, right? Ditto absorbs the power, does something different with it. And I'm into it. I actually like this. This is going to, this is going to pop off. I'm definitely going to try it. Obviously, like, I enjoy Minecraft. I enjoy my animal crossings.
Starting point is 01:15:32 There's a few world builders, farmers that I've gotten into before. So I'm fine. I just need to get over this fucking creepy ass ditto inhabits a human body that's dead. Because that's what it looks like to me, everybody. In the 90s when Pokemon took over, I was begging for shit like this. Ditto just looks like that. This is his eyes. I know, I know.
Starting point is 01:15:50 I was talking about this recently, how this, I just want the power world without the guns. and the idea of kind of building your own little your house and seeing the progression and going oh now i can plant these sort of things and all that stuff just really kind of tickles my brain in a way that i enjoy it's not this is like 75% of the way there it would be 100 if you remove the ditto girl no but like this is this is getting close to what i want out of these style of video games um because it is the polkaon ip which i love obviously and I it's just it's such a weird swing that it's another one of those things where you go yeah Nintendo's still gonna do weird this is why they came so hard after Powell World
Starting point is 01:16:35 yeah what the fuck you were working on this get the hell out of here uh hey Kuyajahs superchaston says that diddo is taking on its dead trainers form which I appreciate and then three finger says Tim is probably relieved he's no longer the number one kind of funny Pokemon reviewer and you know this is my cross to bear
Starting point is 01:16:52 so if I need to play Pokemon Kotopia The Dead Trainor thing is interesting because, like, you did have to see a human to copy it. Yeah. So what happened to that human? Yeah. Like, were they passing by? It passed out.
Starting point is 01:17:05 Where did that? They passed out somewhere. Passed on. Passed on the next plane. From there, we kept the Pokemon train running. We got a Pokemon Legend ZA trailer, of course, coming out October 16th. I will be reviewing it. But if that wasn't enough, they said, then continue your adventures in the Lumo City with Pokemon
Starting point is 01:17:22 Legends Zia mega dimension paid DLC expansion. Mysterious distortions have appeared without warning in Lumos City. They seem to connect to a space known as hyperspace Lumos. And the mythical Pokemon Hoopa might have some part to play. Discover new evolutions like Mega Raychu X and Mega Raychu Y and more. Rightoo. What are you doing? This guy was crazy.
Starting point is 01:17:45 We got to delete this Vod if you want any credibility to play the reviews. I'm the new generation of Pokemon. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. He's a classic Pokemon I have some stuff But Pikachu never evolved It's hard
Starting point is 01:17:59 No he does evolve Rarely Did you know that male Pikachus have the lightning bolt tail and then the females have a little heart All right I know my Pokemon It's a big pivotal moment Where they have to fight a ride shoe
Starting point is 01:18:10 And Ash has to think about If he's going to level up Pikachu to a ride shoe And he says no You know what would be fucking helpful If these video games had VO So I don't just read it He hates the book
Starting point is 01:18:21 Okay it will have Vio And it'll be like Tomadachi you life. That's beautiful Greg. I love that. Let's push for that. Yeah. I also do know this because Scott and Cindy's cat is name Rachu, but I was just like, you know. Yeah, Mike doesn't want to read. There's two sentences. That's a good.
Starting point is 01:18:36 It's fucking sucks. You know what I mean? Anyways, paid DLC for that, which is no news. I mean, it's news that it's now. So we have a name for it, but obviously, Pokemon games always get that beforehand. So whatever. How I don't pay DLC? Yeah, that was the word they were thrown around, which I appreciate them. Like, hey, we're not, we're not just
Starting point is 01:18:51 saying DLC and then you get pissed off when it's not there. you know what I mean? From there, then you got the old Dangan Rampa. This is 2x2. The remake of Dangan Rompah 2, Goodbye Despair. And I know,
Starting point is 01:19:03 let me actually, I don't know if that's actually calling it a remake remake, but, Dangan Rompat 2, Goodbye to Spare is making the ultimate comeback. This game features brand new scenario with a completely different victims and culprits
Starting point is 01:19:13 and the freshly revamped original scenario from Dangan Rompat 2. Dangan Rompah 2 launches on Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch in 2026. So there you go. I was never a fan. I tried. God how I tried on Vita a few times,
Starting point is 01:19:27 but no, just never happened for me. But Dynasty Warriors' origins is coming, and so is paid D.L.C. Oh, yeah. I'm still, I'm still on the fence. Have you got to prove to me
Starting point is 01:19:40 that these third party games look good and play good? We'll see that. Looks like a lot are coming our way. We'll see that over the course of this year of like, the Switch 2 is really going to prove itself to me as a consumer of like,
Starting point is 01:19:51 I can trust this and I'm willing to start putting my money into knowing that this awesome console. is with me on the go, or should I be looking at another handheld to believe in that, you know? Well, of course, Dynasty Warriors Origins advances to the front line of Nintendo Switch 2 on January 22nd, 2026. From there,
Starting point is 01:20:11 we rolled into Monster Hunter Stories 3. Let's find out about the Monsties, as they say. That was coming out March 13th, 2026. Anybody want anything to say about that? I assumed. From there, another montage of games coming to the Nintendo.
Starting point is 01:20:26 Nintendo Switch lineup of platforms. Two-point Museum. Descaya 7 complete. EA Sports FC-26. Dragon Quest 1 Plus 2, HD remake, whatever that was called. Virtual Fighter 5, Lego Voyagers, Little Nightmares 3, and Persona 3 reload. Good to see the support. Good to see stuff coming over.
Starting point is 01:20:44 Then we rolled into Resident Evil Requiem, of course, coming out February 27, 2026. Coming to Switch alongside Resident Evil 7 and Resident Evil Village. for me, I echo what Mike just said as far as the switch proving itself with the third party stuff because Resident Evil is a franchise, especially when you're talking about a new Resident Evil game, is one that I want to look
Starting point is 01:21:03 the best as possible. I want the R.E. engine to shine. I want the lighting to be great and all that stuff. And when we did the demo, was it me and Andy that did the demo? Me and Greg that did the demo. Me and Tim, it was me and Tim, it was me and Tim, that went to Capcom. To do the demo.
Starting point is 01:21:17 I was like, me and Tim went to Capcom to play the demo of Rui. And like, both was like, man, this game looks fucking good. We love the visuals of it. And so, lovely that's coming to Switch, let's fucking go. But also, yeah, I want to see the shit shine. I thought it looked. Great trailer, I think, for the game.
Starting point is 01:21:34 Great trailer. I didn't look as, I think it looked really awesome in some spots where you go, oh, wow, this is a, this is running on Switch 2 hardware. And I saw people in the beginning go, like, man, it's the same damn trailer until they started showing extra shots. Yeah. But the whole point of it is to show how this thing can run on the Switch 2.
Starting point is 01:21:53 I thought it looked great in some spots a little less good in some others but otherwise I think it's you know it's exciting for a switch to gamers to be able to play something that will look this visually cool on that hardware for sure
Starting point is 01:22:09 I also want to go back to just real quick to the little montage you talked about because I wanted to double check to see if Lego Voyages was going to be split screen or not and it is which is really nice news because the Lego Builders Journey is one of my one of my favorites I was a good ass little video game And then to close out the show, it was one, the only Fire Emblem Fortunes weave coming in
Starting point is 01:22:28 2006. The heroic games have begun. The newest entry in the Fire Emblem series is set to enter the arena. The debut trailer provided a glimpse of the intertwining stories, characters, and turn-based tactical RPG gameplay that awaits players when the game launches for Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026. Yay for Fire Emblem fans. Stoke for them. I mean, this is massive for it. It's huge. Three houses is. hugely regarded as like an amazing game, awesome reviews across the board, and yeah, it's massive for them.
Starting point is 01:23:01 This is great. Cool. Yeah, this is the one that I definitely want to try when it comes out. Fire and Bill is one that, hearing people talk about it and seeing passion for it, you know, Andy mentions that it's a highly regarded amazing game, right?
Starting point is 01:23:14 But like, when you talk about the Switch 1 games of the era, like the best Switch 1 games, people would put Fire and Moon 3 houses in those conversations. This one was cool. I watch the trailer and for me I'm somebody who's not really the biggest tactics guy but I'm not anti-tactics, you know what I mean? Like I'm live alive, I played, I'm fucking loved,
Starting point is 01:23:31 you know what I mean? So like this, I'm excited for it to come out for that forever to come back and I really want to try it out. And that was the Nintendo Direct for September 12th, 2025. We're still locked in on scores, Andy and eight, me and eight, Mike was his 6.5? Like a 6, 7, a little 6.7.
Starting point is 01:23:49 Make a choice. Don't make a choice? Just say 6-5 7. Oh, wow. Oh. And then bless, I forget. 7.5. Lower case.
Starting point is 01:23:56 We're all staying there. Yes. I like that. Official. I like that a lot. A few super chats to get to. Austin's super chat and says, I was on Greg's side until he read Ritechu.
Starting point is 01:24:05 Again. Oh, he said it right that time. I do know the thing. The cat was named Ritechu. I get it. I'm reading fucking nonsense. I got three different windows open trying to keep up. You all do this.
Starting point is 01:24:14 You all sit there in your own fucking filth watching us entertain. Oh, he's lashing out. Don't turn on me, all right? We had a fun thing going here. He's scared. it's going to get taken away. Exactly. Everyone's a lot of shit on me in this video,
Starting point is 01:24:26 but once this is done, Tim can't. No, I think we give the review to Andy. Thank you. Thank you, Barry. There was a while, though,
Starting point is 01:24:33 that it was Ghost of Yotai. So it's just like, Greg, sometimes just has a reading problem. 100%. Do you want to make fun of my disability? Yeah. Wow.
Starting point is 01:24:42 Is that who you guys want to be? Abelism. Yeah, you hate to see it. Ariel and I said I had my money, and Super Chat, I said I had my money on a persona for golden remake trailer,
Starting point is 01:24:52 which I think is just way too early. Yeah, that game is years out Because what they showed at Xbox Right this year Was like 10 seconds of gameplay When they announced reload Like they showed like the battle system And all that stuff
Starting point is 01:25:05 Like the persona 4 remake is way early And they announced that way too early Uh Then Resolution points out The Virtual Boy cost $300 originally with no game So this is a good deal Nice Uh
Starting point is 01:25:21 Super Chats that we haven't gotten in Practically making money. Was there, did I dream up that the virtual boy had like controversy around it of people like throwing up and getting headaches and stuff like that? I remember headaches. I remember the headaches. I don't remember the throwing up stuff. And the Oculus when I throw that thing out of the Maticlust. Really just knocks me out.
Starting point is 01:25:40 Try to kill him. Takes me out for the day. I love an Oculus. Sometimes when he wants to go home, he just puts it on. I was trying to do something for the company. I got to go. I can't watch people play VR gameplay. Like when I, when I'm just watching Mike play a VR play a VR.
Starting point is 01:25:53 thing and I watch his moving and like oh god I can't do that man that's weird that even for me is somebody who is fine if you are watching other people do stuff like that where you don't know there's something you know in your head when you know you're turning a rider left or up or down it's like one thing when you're just watching somebody else do it like well but I can watch a keyboard mouse gameplay it's weird I don't know oh that's interesting that's an interesting one I had nostalgia for like the early era of VR and when I say early era probably more like the mid era whenever the PSVR one yeah yeah I think you meant like the Samsung galaxy galaxy I mean I did use the cardboard the galaxy cardboard I did I bought that little $50 device from Best Buy.
Starting point is 01:26:24 Yeah. Hey, Grandma, let me show you this aquarium. Jay's Super Chats. It says, thanks, Kind of Funny crew, you made the direct even better.
