Welcome to your Kind of Funny Games cast for Tuesday, March 3, 2026. I'm one of your host, Greg Miller, alongside the master of hype and the man who hates.
Starting point is 00:00:38 It's Indies, Snowback Mike. Good morning, Greg. It's great to see you. Over there, of course, the tastemaker, Roger Picorni. Hi, I have two cups. We would never make fun of you for that. I don't know why. We would never.
Starting point is 00:00:47 We're making toast. Burning toast every day. You burn toast? No, I just use the toaster oven. And then he's like, so I'm burning toast in here. And I'm just making the toaster of it. I'm not burning. There's crumbs in there.
Starting point is 00:00:59 I like it's dark. So I like, you know. Yeah. And it wasn't even dark. I make sure not to. But then Mike. I like my. This fucking bloodhound nose.
Starting point is 00:01:06 Yeah. Yeah, Bloodhound nose. That's one way to describe it. They described it. A pug nose where he's like, you can't breathe. You're doing everything. Everybody, welcome to your Kind of Funny Gamescast.
Starting point is 00:01:15 It's a special one. If you aren't aware, we just spent the last 20-so minutes reacting over there to the Nintendo Indie World Showcase for March. Our live reaction is up, of course, on YouTube.com slash Kind of Funny Games as part of this Gamescast

Starting point is 00:02:00 What did you pre-order? And hey, what would you score it on the kind of funny review scale? Of course, thank you to our Patreon producers on patreon.com slash kind of funny. Carl Jacobs, Omega Buster, and Delaney the Somp-twining. We couldn't do this without you. For now, though. Let's jump into what is and forever will be
Starting point is 00:02:17 topic of the show. Everybody, we just did it. We ran through and watched the Nintendo Indie World Showcase, showing a multitude of indies across 18 minutes of content out there. Before we went live, I asked for hype
Starting point is 00:02:34 levels. Roger, of course, six, seven. He made a big deal and he turned his hat sideways. He was a. But more importantly, Mike said zero. Zero.
Starting point is 00:02:47 Mike, we're on the other side now. How do you feel about this Nintendo indie world show game? Greg Miller, I came in with apprehension. I came in with zero expectations and really zero desire to watch it.
Starting point is 00:02:58 And I am now leaving with a smile on my face. Okay. Because I was pleasantly surprised. There's about five to six games in there that I really enjoyed and smiled. I got some release dates for games like Incombeini and of course
Starting point is 00:03:10 mixtape. Mix tape on my birthday too. Shout out to my guy. What's his name? Galvatron. Johnny Galvatron. Johnny Galvatron. It's your boy Snowbike Mike. Give him the one. To another Jamboni dude. You are so right about chicken nuggets.
Starting point is 00:03:24 The boot shaped chicken nugget is the superior shaped chicken nuggets. Okay. If you're not rocking with the boot shapes Legitably, I have no idea what the fuck you're talking about. At the Dice Awards, 2026, Johnny Galvatron spoke about the boot-shaped chicken nugget throughout the entire night when he got brought up.
Starting point is 00:03:41 Got it. No. Because I'm dialed into the Dice Awards. I'm dialed into the Dice Awards, you know. But like I said, I walked away with a smile on my face. Got some dates for two important games in Combeini and mixtape that I really, really enjoy and I'm looking forward to. And they're right around the corner.
Starting point is 00:03:58 And got some games that are dropping today that I can't wait to play. That little shoot-em-up Zelda-like? Meaning shoot adventure. Put me down on that one. Of course. chatting in, Snake Eater says, I recommend mini shoot to literally anyone. It is a Zelda like and it's awesome. I called that when I saw it and I'm very excited about that.
Starting point is 00:04:13 I'll be playing that right away. Rotwood, a side-scrolling brawler. We are in the shadows of Absalom as Roger brought up. We are looking for another fun co-op game if you love Castle Crashers like me. And that game dropping today, very exciting. I'm in on that one, right? And so, yeah, we just kind of got some games where it's like, oh, that's a surprise. That's a nice stealth release drop.
Starting point is 00:04:36 there, blueprints rounding it out today. You can't be mad at this. It was pretty good. Shadows of Absalom is a great title for an expansion pack. So just heads up. Call me. Call them up. You can rent it.
Starting point is 00:04:47 Mike, on the patent and kind of funny review scale of our 20 point scale, don't listen to anybody when they say it's 10 points. Jordan Midler, he doesn't know what he's talking about. Where would you place this Nintendo Indie showcase? I'm going to give it. I mean,
Starting point is 00:05:00 I'm settling in between seven and eights. Like, it was a good time. And I would say, it was pretty great, right? So I'm going to give it a 7.5. It was a solid, all-capital, good indie showcase. Okay, okay. Roger, Courtney. I get choked up, sorry. I expect that higher scores for Mike. Let them out. Where would you put this on the scale and talk to me a little bit at top level?
Starting point is 00:05:22 Yeah, for me, I'm very much where you're at when it comes to the Nintendo Switch. I love my Nintendo Switch, too. It is probably my favorite console. I've ever owned, honestly. I use it all the time. I just adore playing all my games on the Switch, too. even when, you know, I could be playing yakuza at 60 FPS at fucking 4K on my PC, but playing it on this thing, it's like that's the way I want to play, that is where I want to play. It's so light, it's awesome, especially
Starting point is 00:05:45 with the Kill Switch. I love my Switch tube. So with that all said, I love the ports here, right? Like all these games, like mini shoot adventures, even Blueprints does something for me, right? A game that I had on my Steam deck that I was playing that I enjoyed, but I just didn't want to play my Steam Deck for extended periods of time, and now we're at the moment, we're like,
Starting point is 00:06:01 okay, the hype has died down a little bit, it's on the Switch 2, what if this is something that I can pick up and tool around with over the next few months. So that, of course, with Densatech, with all of these other games here, minishoot adventures, I will keep on. Minnishue Adventures, right? That's that I gave up. That inconvenient? Fuck yeah, dude. I'm very, very happy with this, but I still was, I was waiting for, where was the, the Silk Song, DLC? Where is, you know, maybe Fields of Mystery. And I will say, even though it's a really good showcase, Fields and Mistria brought it down for me. I wanted that game, that game here. Now you hyped yourself up for
Starting point is 00:06:33 that time. I know. And I know. I know. So that's not against them, but it's against myself. So when I have to look at this, I would say seven out of ten. Seven out of ten. Good. Good one. It's a good one. It's a good one. For me, I land on an eight. I came in with eight expectations. I feel like I got eight out of this. I got a great show. Again, I love indie games. No shocker there if you pay attention. And I thought this was one that was littered with stuff that if I didn't want to play, I was like, oh, I see, I knew who this is for. I know why they want to go do this. You You know, you would jump back to that partner direct we did with that goddamn dinosaur game. That was for my...
Starting point is 00:07:06 And I turned up. I'd be it in one sitting. I know you... I had to do it for the people. You're a real tough guy out there. You know what I mean? Real cool. But this is what I thought was colorful.
Starting point is 00:07:14 It was lively. It was fast, 18 minutes. And it did what I love. And that's putting developers first. Let's get them out there. Let's show you the people who are making your games. Let's let them have some fun run through it. I had a great time with this.
Starting point is 00:07:24 And yeah, I am open on my store page over here on Nintendo. Again, shout out to Nintendo for doing this. And then, of course, you open up. the Switch store. Guess what? There it is. Indy World. Bam, you click on them.
Starting point is 00:07:34 They're all right here that you'd wish list. You could buy. You could do whatever you want for the ones that are there. And yeah, Rotwood and Minishoe Adventures are coming home with me today, of course.
Starting point is 00:07:41 And we're hopefully doing a party more for Rotwood today. We'll see. I think we need multiple switches though. I don't think we all have four switches. I mean, only if you guys live close. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:07:50 If only. Hey, you say that, you know what? Let's put that down as a strong man. I would like to play this game, Rondier. We can do it.
Starting point is 00:07:56 We will figure out. Let's shine a light on an indie developer. A hardworking dev team out there that needs some help. Well, we can do it any time. You know what I mean? We don't need to do it. We'll figure it out. We'll figure it out.
Starting point is 00:08:06 He wants to go play repo game. Nobody's heard of. Nobody cares about. I didn't. Old news. I hate it. I hate it. I know you do.
Starting point is 00:08:14 Kevin? Does Blueprints come in a switch do anything for you? Hell yeah. Get me coach Miller. Oh, shit. Okay. I'm playing in a bed. Who-hoo.
Starting point is 00:08:24 How many hours did you put into blueprints? Way too many. I don't know. There was a glitch and it stopped me. It was awful on PlayStation. So you're ready to go back now? Yeah, absolutely. But I put in a lot of hours.
Starting point is 00:08:35 I probably around 60, I'd say. But that was like in like a week and a half. Can I be honest? I'm intimidated to go back to blueprints. How deep did you get into blueprints? Very deep. I was knocking on the door. I was knock, knock, knock, knock on him.
Starting point is 00:08:48 The door, yeah. And then I took a week off and lost every sort of motion into it. And I could never get the motions back. And that's a game right there where you need to be in the flow. You have to be in the flow state. Night one, night two, night. You kind of got to like keep going. And then, yeah, when I went back, it was jarring to the point where I was like, I can never do this again.
Starting point is 00:09:08 Apparently room 46 is like just the beginning. That's what they say. Yeah. Now we have, of course, breaking news. Oh. That's not breaking. But as you know, usually Tim gets to host, I get to run through all the press releases, get all the things gathered. Two super chats I'm going to bring up.
Starting point is 00:09:24 Kevin, I'm going to need your help on this one, okay? Kevin. C. Barry, 328 says, there's a game, this is, I think, sent before we were,
Starting point is 00:09:31 when we were live reacting. There's a game I'm really excited for Greg to see. Just a heads up that there's a different game that ends
Starting point is 00:09:37 the Japanese broadcast. Stop it. Also, too many drops today. And then Banderer S.N. says, there are more games on the Japan direct. Check out Nintendo Life.
Starting point is 00:09:45 I'm going to go to Nintendo Life. Are they holding us back? Kevin, if you could bring up the Japanese version of the Nintendo Indie showcase, I'd love to see what they
Starting point is 00:09:54 ended with. Fields of Mystery. and see what's going on differently here. Can you imagine? No. Can you imagine? Just to piss off, Roger. And I know that's a hard one.
Starting point is 00:10:04 I'm on Nintendo World now. I'm scrolling through to see a game that... I'm sorry, Nintendo Life.com. Okay. There's blueprints. Oh, okay. Japanese Indie World March 2026 bonus announcements. Oh.
Starting point is 00:10:18 Okay. Oh, man. As well as the games outlined above, the Japanese Indie World Showcase also packed in a handful of games that did not appear in the Western presentation. including a shadow drop that's available worldwide. Wow.
Starting point is 00:10:29 Below we've listed these extras. This one is in Japanese. It's on Switch 1 and I don't know what it is. Then, ooh, comes to Switch 1 today. A bomb catabiller, big adventure. Ooh, is a charming yet mysterious exploration puzzle platformer where you discover creative ways to use bombs. Little Witch of the Woods comes to Switch 1 to 2026.
Starting point is 00:10:49 Schrodinger's call comes to Switch 1 May 28th. Japanese rural life adventure comes to Switch 1 today. That looks like you, Roger. Is this, is this it? Yeah, this is a good job, Kevin. Like, this is 27 minutes. Well, so yeah, they added extra games. This is what I'm talking about,
Starting point is 00:11:06 so leave you here while I read this. Japanese rural life adventures are relaxing slow life simulation where you can experience the charm of traditional Japanese countryside living all in beautifully crafted pixel art world. Okay. I would play this.
Starting point is 00:11:18 I like what I'm seeing here. I like this coming to the English world, but that's exciting. Let me keep going here. so we get to whatever the shadow drop, I assume, is. Magical Girl, witch trials comes to switch one July 9th. Homo, oh, homo rohin? I think we nailed that.
Starting point is 00:11:36 We talked about this in the rundown recently. It's coming in 2026. I thought that might have been maybe, hmm, go to the very end. Kev, thank you very much. You're killing it, Kevin, I love you. I appreciate you. Take us to the end. Okay, and then the very end.
Starting point is 00:11:52 Whoa. Yeah, this is it. So this is. Oh, this game. We talked about this on the latest games cast. Every game coming out in Mark. Yes, yes, yes. We're freaking out about this one.
Starting point is 00:12:02 Horamudahim is, and I'm putting too much H on the heem, I know. Yeah. Oh, serious. Homo is an anime style of 3D action game, merging exhilarating thrills with the tension-film gameplay of bullet hell. Players dodge hails of projectiles, unleash combos that blend close quarters and range attacks, and utilize dodges and parries to withstand the fierce onslaught of demons.
Starting point is 00:12:25 interesting. So is this out today then? Is this the one? No, I think it's a 2026? It said 2026 there, but then people were like, oh, okay, I think I'm just confused with comments. Okay, great, great.
Starting point is 00:12:38 Well, yeah, okay, great. But if it's, why did we talk about it in the games coming out in March? If it isn't, is it this month? Is it more? Maybe it's on PC only. Ah, okay, fair, fair, fair, fair, fair, fair play. Fair play, I like that one a lot.
Starting point is 00:12:50 Okay, some cool stuff there. I got to figure out about Japanese rural life adventure. Yeah, I saw someone in chat saying is on Apple Arcade. I don't know if that's correct if they're talking about something else But What's a Japanese roller switch
Starting point is 00:13:01 Might be something to look into Greg Maybe I will Gregory Oh looks like it's on It came up on Steam a month ago Uh huh Uh huh
Starting point is 00:13:10 Uh huh Uh huh Uh huh Oh Okay here we go I'm opening up the Steam page Japanese rural life adventure Is in Japanese there as well
Starting point is 00:13:20 So I don't know If that's translate But it's out Over there We can still look into it We'll get back to you on that one instead let's jump in to the actual one we watched okay and go through your english version of the nintendo indie world showcase for march third 2026 complete with youtube super chats like i said
Starting point is 00:13:40 i want your review scores i want what you liked what you didn't like uh we of course started with dentchatac yeah this is the trade one uh we've talked a lot about this we've seen a lot about this it's it's gotten some uh you know for me and mike being big skate fans i love grinding rails one week away from the season three, the last ride. They opened the show with this one, put it out on June 17th, and of course there is a demo available today. Michael, reactions. Yeah, this one made me smile. Greg, this one had a demo during Steam Next Fest. Of course, the demo is out now on Switch 2, which is cool.
Starting point is 00:14:15 And it's one of those of like, I came in with a big old zero and I quickly started smirking and smiling seeing this. It looks like a ton of fun. I'm sure it plays like a ton of fun. Yeah, I'm going to, I have to jump on this. I'm going to have to give this a try. Yeah. I've been avoiding the demo because it's only been on Steam. So now that it's on Switch, this is exactly what I'm going to try it out on. I hope it plays as fun as it looks.
Starting point is 00:14:41 Denshattack from publisher Fireshine Games and developer undercoters challenges players to become the greatest train driver in Japan by competing in over-the-top battles. Push the limits on what a train can do in 50-plus vibrant stages across all of Japan, facing off against colorful, cast of rivals in diverse missions all set to a soundtrack that matches the controlled chaos of a train
Starting point is 00:15:01 doing a kickflip. You pointed out how good the sound was when the music was when you were playing it there. I like that a lot. There's been like a slew of video games for me at least recently that are like all style, very little substance for me. It looks beautiful but it's like man I don't want to play this for more than a few
Starting point is 00:15:17 minutes. I really want this to feel like thrash or I want it to be like oh I'm addicted to playing this game on top of looking at it. Sure, set some high scores and get out of that. Of course, it launches PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and, of course, announced today, Switch 2. Yes, there is a Switch 2 and Steam demo available right now as we hurdle towards that June 17th release date. Looks dope. Hell yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:39 Really, really good style. And a good opener, I think. Great opener. Let's go to what, is this a good second game to show? My Little Puppy, everybody. When we started going, I immediately went, oh, this game. Oh, my little puppy, of course, well known to me as a man who lost his dog. and when you say, hey, I have a game
Starting point is 00:15:56 about grieving your dog. I go, yeah, let's jump in there. One day in doggy heaven, a Welsh corgi named Bungu catches a whiff of his human dad in the afterlife. Sniff, bark, run, and jump as you embark on a touching narrative adventure as Bungu to reunite with his dearly departed dad
Starting point is 00:16:12 in the story of relationship, farewells, and reunions. My Little Puppy Bounds its way on Nintendo Switch digitally May 29th, with a physical version with a cute and goofy, wait, with a physical version available in tune. The Nintendo Switch version features custom customizations for Bungu
Starting point is 00:16:28 dress him up with cute and goofy dog costumes to take his charm to the next level. I bought this when I heard about it on Steam. I still have yet to play it because my Steam backlog is just like anybody else's steam backlog. I'm excited to get to it and I wonder if this will be where I get to it. It's going to be
Starting point is 00:16:44 one of those games where it keeps gestating and I eventually get there for it. I didn't expect to be like monsters in this. Like I didn't expect him, like the dog have to like kind of like. What did you think Bangu was going to do? I thought they were just going to walk around and be like, oh, like, yeah, I'm in heaven. Like, what's up? Like, and then, like, find their thing.
Starting point is 00:16:59 But no, I didn't expect that. So I'm kind of interested in, like, what the action side of it is. It's pretty neat. Yeah, of course. I mean, you know, you think that, you know, it's going to be peaceful in the afterlife. You know, you have a way to God. We're going to war. You don't know what's going on over there.
Starting point is 00:17:11 You don't know what's going to over there. From there, we went to Heave Ho, too. Mike popped off. Yeah, I mean, this is one of those fun party mode games that you and your friends can jump into and just have a ride of a night laughing, working together. It's a really good game. Really good game. Popping off for the audio listeners, you can't see it.
Starting point is 00:17:28 Swing into action. Reach out and offer your friends a helping hand. Or lose your grip and send them tumbling to a deadly void below in this fiendish online and local multiplayer game for up to four players. Grab your pals and play couch co-op together or play locally and online with GameShare. Explore new gameplay twist from waitless space to cookery chaos and much more across eight themed worlds. Heave Ho-2 launches on the Nintendo Switch to a Nintendo Switch this summer. Love the art style. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:56 You know what I mean? Again, Mike tell me, I don't think, look at this and go friend slop. This is somebody tried really hard to make this. Yeah, I mean, this was, Keeve Ho came out before we started using the term friend slap. So like everyone out there on the internet will just call any game. That is multiplayer friend slap nowadays. But yes, this was before the friend slop era.
Starting point is 00:18:15 And I will consider it still before friend slop there. Looks like a lot of fun. This is why we're all lonely as like a world. You know what I mean? It's like you want to hang out with your friends and then you call it slop? What are we doing? People are just trying to connect with each other online. Have fun. Hang out. The problem is there's too many of these games, Roger, that come out at that sweet, perfect price point of $6 to $20 maximum. And you get your friend, Roger, to play one night
Starting point is 00:18:41 of repo with you. And they're like, all right, that was great. I had a ton of fun. I'll never play this again, Roger. That's okay. All right. It's hanging out. It's like go and watch a movie with your friend. It's whatever. I look at this trailer. I just, I'm dreading it because I know what's going to happen. You know what's going to happen, Mike, is that we're all going to play this together. Fucking Roger. Oh, he let go. And then we're going to make fun of Nick. It's going to be a great time. And it's going to have a great time. It's mount your friends with up to four little gumball looking guys. It's a blast. It's going to be a really good time. Yeah. From there, we went to one of my favorite, most anticipated, whatever you want to say,
Starting point is 00:19:14 Moonlighter 2. Moonlighter 2, The Endless Vault. Of course, I loved Moonlighter 1. Moonlighter 2 launched an early axis on PC last year. Andy and, you, and, you did a review of it, Andy, having put a lot of hours into it, me very top level, Andy positive on it. Your description reads, live the double life of a fearless adventure and craft merchant. Dive into vibrant dimensions brimming with shiny, loot and pesky enemies. Each run becomes a tactical puzzle of how much loot you can carry back and how far you dare to explore. After each escapade, put your hard-earned treasure on sale. Set your prices, grow your shop, entice returning customers to make your mark among a rag-tag community of castaways.
Starting point is 00:19:53 Moonlighter 2, The Endless Vault, launches on Switch 2 later this year. Worth noting, I have a press release on top of the Nintendo one. There's the reads everything we just said, saying this, though. It's heading to Nintendo Switch 2, joining us previously announced 1.0 launch later this year on PC, Xbox Series X and S, with Day 1, GamePass availability, and PlayStation 5.
Starting point is 00:20:16 So we are hurtling towards 1.0, which gets me incredibly excited to dive into the quote-unquote full game, even though I know I'm just an old head about that. For me, early access, I still go, ah, and everybody else like, no, it's the game. And I'm like, ah, I wanted to be done. And then I miss the thing.
Starting point is 00:20:30 It's a delicate dance. It depends on the game and the style that you're playing. Survival crafting games, for me, is tough on the early access because you know that's a long road ahead. You see a game like this, and it's like Andy putting a bunch hours, meaning you're going to get a good time out of it, you know? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:45 Excited for that one. I've highly recommended it. You guys are actually like you didn't know what it was. Moonlighter 1 is fantastic, different art style. Oh, okay. There's been a step up for this one, but Moonlighter 1, a great indie that's available everywhere as well.
Starting point is 00:20:56 You should definitely pick up Moonlighter 1 if you're itching for that right now. Cool. From there, we jumped to Woodo. Welcome to Woodo, a cozy puzzle game where you assemble wooden scenes piece by piece like a 3D coloring book. Place objects in their correct spots
Starting point is 00:21:11 and watch each scenes slowly fill with color in life, revealing charming animations and small surprises. Through handcrafted diaramas. play at your own pace while the narrator's voice keeps you company as you settle into a world that comes together one piece at a time. The Nintendo Switch 2 version also supports
Starting point is 00:21:29 JoyCon 2 mouse controls for smooth gameplay Woodo slots on the Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch this summer. This one I'd never heard of. This one looks awesome. What a great art style. We were watching it was like, wait, this is the gameplay and out of trailers. Yeah, it's gorgeous. I do, I look at this and I'm like, oh, I don't think this is for me.
Starting point is 00:21:47 This feels like a... Oh, my children are... Yeah, exactly. Like a like a, like a, like, hey, this is my kid's first video game. I'm going to put them in the back of the car as we take it drive out to Big Bear, and they're going to love this game. I just love why your brain starts, like, creating these fantasies. The whole narrative.
Starting point is 00:22:00 Oh, you know about Susie and Mike Jr.? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. I apologize. They're excited for this. I just haven't seen them a while, yeah. Private school. Okay. See, I think, like, for me, that looks too involved right now for,
Starting point is 00:22:15 I guess that's not true. Ben plays so many complicated games. I just feel like Ben wants action. Yes. Ben wants the car racing, Ben wants the skating, Ben wants the Mario, Ben wants the Pokemon. This is a coloring book come to life. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. That's what it is.
Starting point is 00:22:28 I'll be interesting. I've seen it more as like, just take a breath at the end of your gaming night going there and make a diorama. I mean, it kind of feels like simpler than a coloring book, right? Like, at least a coloring book is like, you have to draw within the lines. Like this is like, hey, just matches the shape. I guess, you know, Ben loves a good hidden object page and a highlight magazine or in and out. Maybe it's like once it gets super complicated, it. It levels up, but, yeah, I'm just not seeing where...
Starting point is 00:22:53 Well, you know, coloring book, especially for boomers, coloring book apps and stuff are really big. Yeah, for sure. I mean, I think that's just what we're doing here, right? Just go ahead and merge this together. They still make Where's Waldo games? They still make Where's Waldo? Everything.
Starting point is 00:23:04 Yeah, they should bring... Why doesn't he have a game? I don't know. Where's Waldo? Give him the gritty reboot. Where's Waldo? Murder Mysteries unsolved. He's in the tenderloin.
Starting point is 00:23:15 He's on a drug binge. Find him. Uh, Woodo, of course, is also coming. to PC PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X when it launches this summer. I'm coughing at interopportune times I feel like because it's fine and then I just get it when I'm about to tell you something. Then we went
Starting point is 00:23:33 to our first shadow drop of the day. Mini shoot adventures. This one immediately stole our heart I think out there. Am I right, everybody? Yeah. Heck yeah. This one was on. I was like, Dave, I didn't see this coming. Looks like a Zelda one. The official description from Nintendo reads,
Starting point is 00:23:48 fly into a frantic handcrafted world with crisp twin stick shoot-em-up action and this modern twist on the classic 8-bit adventure formula. Fight your way from the shiny overworld to the deepest cave. Get it out, let the demon out. You got to say something.
Starting point is 00:24:05 I mean, this game is all over. I can't wait to play this game. Like you said, Zelda like meets shoot-em-up. Like the art style, the color, the look. I'm so excited to duck, dodge, and dip. Like there's something about the shoot-em-up genre With this bullet hell That I just love so much
Starting point is 00:24:21 And my thing with the bullet hell stuff Is that it becomes at least in the modernish era It's done a lot of like 8 bit 32 bit Like type 16 bit rather Type deals and it like it hurts my eyes I love this art style I love how crisp it is You can see the edges it feels
Starting point is 00:24:36 Fuck there's this game that was published I know Pop agenda worked on it It was a 2D It was like a phone game and whatever It had a similar art style I love this art style A little simple it is. Okay.
Starting point is 00:24:48 It'll come to me eventually. I like finding that flow state in these games. Where you start seeing the Matrix and your dodge and everything. And you just get that. What was that? Sectory. That's one should have been here. This is some sectory stuff right here is right.
Starting point is 00:25:02 Yeah, but I do like that. It's bigger than sectory, right? It's like, hey, this is a Zelda like you're running around. Like you're building, you know, it's not just, hey, it's stages. Chaset say it's five hours. So short and sweet. Oh, easy. Improved your ship and overcome dungeon bosses.
Starting point is 00:25:14 Grindstone. It intense. Yes. Great call. Bullet-filled for the art styles. I was thinking gameplay.
Starting point is 00:25:21 I remember they're being a station. And rescue your friends. Explore lush caverns, ancient temples, and sunken cities where each environment is full of treasures, challenges, and secrets. Mini shoot adventures flies on a switch
Starting point is 00:25:32 and switch two later today. Yeah, I'm playing this tonight. I'm very excited. Yeah, we're going to play this. Of course, beyond that, I have a press release. Mini Shoot Adventures is out now on Nintendo 1, 2, PlayStation 5,
Starting point is 00:25:41 and Xbox consoles. I'm looking to see the clarification. someone in the chat did say Game Pass on Xbox But I'm not Seeing that in the press release As I quickly scroll through it
Starting point is 00:25:54 Nothing I don't believe you Oh here I can click on this go there I'm going Xbox right now everybody Loading page Oh I'm signed out of my account Great job Xbox Always helpful Xbox thank you But it is game pass
Starting point is 00:26:03 Game Pass hell yeah But it is cool that this is like Was a B was a darling in 2024 I saw that like rise So the people that knew they knew That was like there You knew about this? Yeah this was like at the top
Starting point is 00:26:14 of some people's games of the year like this was a huge chat from Kyle Lipschus's game of the year in 2024 and he recommended to me highly as a steam deck game it's a perfect game for handheld. Exactly. So I was waiting for it. I was like, oh, any day now in 2025, I was like, oh, in back my head I was like, this is going to come to switch. Took them a while, but I'm glad that it's here. I'm all about this. I will be playing this. That looks awesome. Obviously being Zelda inspired is pretty rad. They even call it out in their press release, which you don't always see. Mini shoot adventures takes the straightforward frantic joy in game feel of shoot-em-ups and combines them with the exciting feeling of going on an adventure, like in the first legend of Zelda, flying to a charming handcrafted world, and live an adventure that mixes up open exploration with crispy twin stick
Starting point is 00:26:55 shooter action. Crispy. I like that a lot. I love it. And I liked a lot of other games, but you'll hear about them in a second because remember this is kind of funny games cast each and every weekday. Starting point is 00:28:51 Nah. Nah. Oh. Roger. How's the caffeine cutback going? Smiley emoji? I do one cup a day now. Okay. So that's where I'm at. I would usually go like one cup a day plus diet cook, plus maybe, you know, a little bit of five-hurt. But I'm trying to this week be like, hey, one cup a day. That's it. Is it working? You feeling good? Yeah, feeling good. Yeah. Eventually I'm going to just not do this again. Or I'll bring in decaf like cakeups
Starting point is 00:29:15 that'd be my next thing I just have a bunch of decaf cakeups at my desk that's fun you think put him in your drawer nickels start going through uh space a gelmon writes in and says Mike did nothing wrong hashtag Greg sucks hashtag justice for Mike that's not sure and that's a reference
Starting point is 00:29:31 to the buzz I hope you all watched we'll move on continue to give me your reviews games that we haven't talked about that you want to talk about all that other jazz because we're going to continue rolling through this game by game of course this is us going through all the announcements of the Nintendo Indy World Direct. After the shadow drop of minishoot adventures, we got Midnight Walk coming to Switch.
Starting point is 00:29:54 From the makers of Lost in Random and Fay comes the award-winning dark fantasy adventure built entirely in real-life clay and animated in stop-motion style. Become the burnt one. Perfriend a lost lantern creature named Potboy and use his flame to light your way through a handcrafted world of wonder and horror. The Midnight Walk launches on Nintendo Switch
Starting point is 00:30:13 to March 26th. Did you ever try this one? No. No. I booted it up on VR. I think PSVR 2. I think I borrowed it from here. I was like, man, I really want to get into this.
Starting point is 00:30:23 I'm just not a VR person, so I just stopped it. Just threw up everywhere. Yeah, exactly. I almost hit my cat because my fucking apartment's so small. This game is beautiful. It's gorgeous. So I'm happy that it's coming to Switch 2. I'm happy that out of all the Switch 2 ports that we've seen, like,
Starting point is 00:30:36 this looks very impressive. Like, it doesn't look super blurry. It doesn't look like a lesser-than version necessarily than the other one. So shout out to that team for making that work on the Switch 2. Shout out to that team indeed. But let's get to, I think, one of the other standouts. Game of the show. Game of the show says Mikey.
Starting point is 00:30:54 Rotwood, a side-scroller brawler from, of course, Clay Entertainment, the don't starve devs. It goes, choose your weapon, master a diverse combat system, and refine your builds in this stylish, side-scrolling, co-op, action brawler from Clay Entertainment, the studio behind Don't Starve. battle corrupted beasts through dangerous forest arenas and play solo or with up to three friends locally or online. Okay, you hear that locally? Progress comes from increasing your skill as much as your loot with challenging boss fights that determine, demand practice and proficiency. Rotwood hacks on and slashes on to switch to you as a console exclusive later today. Now hold on. It says locally or online, but it's doing the thing where it puts the little annotation.
Starting point is 00:31:39 So it says online number one. So I'm going to scroll down. Number one, additional accessories may be required for multiplayer mode. I'm thinking it might be game share. Locally game share. I don't know if you can all just jump into the same thing. But all that aside, this looks fucking rat. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:57 Yeah, I mean a sweet development team over there, right? The team that made Don't Starve, that's an iconic game, a game that I fell in love with and love. We are coming hot off of Absalom, right? The four player party mode games with your friends. are like so hot right now. And I always love a good Castle Crashers like, right? And like I am always in the mood for something if it can be good. And this one's kind of got the art style I'm into.
Starting point is 00:32:21 Absolutely. I wasn't like, like, oh, I'm in love with I got to do this. This one I got more cartoony fun vibes I like. Yeah, I mean, it's gorgeous. I think it's really kind of wild that this is a shadow drop. Like we didn't hear about this game before, right? We never knew about this. I haven't heard about it, yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:35 Yeah, like let me know, chat, because it's kind of wild that they're like, hey, the team behind one of the biggest games, in the recent years, shadow drop right now and it's exclusive. That's a wild one to have in an indie world, but, you know, shout out to them from trying to make indie world a bigger deal, right? Like something that you can look forward to not only indies and ports, but also, you know, full-on exclusives that are dropped right there. So really, really dope stuff.
Starting point is 00:33:00 I don't know if this is necessarily for me, but I like looking at it. It's very, very pretty. Yeah, I mean, this is one of those who's like, okay, drop what we're doing today. Let's play this game. Oh, early access. Okay. they don't show new. Okay, so this was in early access for a while.
Starting point is 00:33:12 Okay. Okay. Again, as we go through right now, on the Nintendo e-shop, it says number of players, single system one to four. And then GameShare has its own line, online local. So theoretically, we just need one copy of the game. We could be in business. We'll figure that out and see what we want to do.
Starting point is 00:33:28 I hope they let us play with just one JoyCon. Yeah, that'd be fun. You know, they had all the commercials about that, but like, how often do you actually play with just one single game? You need to get a kid and you play with it a lot. You do it go out that way, a lot of Mario Kart that way, to smash that way. He's at the kitchen table. He's how he pops them off. Susie and Mike Jr.
Starting point is 00:33:42 all have pro-controlers. They're just so well. You're really spoiler kids. Yeah, that's really nice. I take him to the top. I'm looking forward to playing Rotwood. I'm also looking forward to playing mixtape. Mix tape is coming to everything, of course, but this time around we have a release date for a game that has been highly anticipated from kind of funny. This is coming out
Starting point is 00:34:02 on May 7th from Beethoven and Dinosaur. From the developers of BAFTA Award winning the Artful escape. Mix tape unfolds in a narrative-driven adventure of three friends exploring the greatest hits of their teenage experience from the first kiss to the last dance, inspired by classic coming-of-age movies and featuring eclectic gameplay and a varied soundtrack of popular music from artists including Devo, the Smashing Pumpkins, and more mixtape spins up a Nintendo switch May 7th. I cannot fucking wait. This game blew me away at Summer Game Fest last year.
Starting point is 00:34:36 I scooped it up on Fantasy Critic. And then, of course, course never came out and never did it but here we are we finally have a date we're finally excited of course it is also coming to playstation five xbox series x and s pc and the esteem epic game store and it is on game pass so lots of ways to play it and again as somebody who has played it before looking at the switch two footage do not play it on switch two yeah it looks way crisper on everything else but i can't wait yeah they have a few months maybe they can sharpen it up a little bit but you look at that it's it's not a great showing but i don't want to see more of this game i know this trailer seems like it's all older stuff, right?
Starting point is 00:35:09 It's like the remake of an older trailer. I don't want to see any more of this game. I want it right now. It's going to scratch that itch of, you know, life is strange like type deal, even though we are getting one this month. But I don't count that. You don't count that. I'm a hater. You're going to eat your words on that one, too.
Starting point is 00:35:25 You're going to eat your words on that one too. I also didn't like it. So I was like, wow, do we have to go back to Chloe? But I'm like, yeah, I'm excited to go back and eat this. I got to go do this. I got to be a part of this. After mixtape, we jumped into blighted from friend of the show,
Starting point is 00:35:38 Drinkbox Studios, of course, Guacamayle, severed, etc. Battle through a deadly psychedelic Western nightmare to reclaim the memories of your people in this exploration-driven action RPG from the creators of Guacamalee and nobody saves the world. The evil
Starting point is 00:35:53 Sorcisco has consumed your village and infected the world of the deadly blight. As the lone survivor of this rampage, you must fight through the surreal, hostile environment to defeat powerful bosses and recover the memories of your people before your own blight overtakes you. Play solo or with a friend via local or online multiplayer
Starting point is 00:36:15 as you uncover the mysteries of the twisted world. Blight creeps on a Nintendo Switch to this fall. Another one I played at SGF. Great art style. I'm not the soul's guy. Obviously, it was a very early demo. I had fun with it. I don't know if I would commit to it for the whole way through,
Starting point is 00:36:29 but just because of gaming taste, not so much about it. I mean, this team has the sauce when it comes to stock. and just the look of a game, and I'm very excited about that. Like you said, Greg, am I in the mood for a top-down soul-like experience right this moment?
Starting point is 00:36:46 No, but I could be into it, because I do love a good Soulslike. I love a good Perry. I love a good Dodgerall. I love an intimidating boss. I got to learn their patterns on. You see the block and the Perry going on over there, and it looks cool.
Starting point is 00:37:00 I'd give it a try. This does nothing to me, sadly. I just want to give you a little bit more. I'm jumping in, as you know, We have the Nintendo press release with the blurbs. Then I also get press releases usually from PR. I have one here from Pop Agenda, of course, my wife's company. So take my opinion on anything with the game of salt.
Starting point is 00:37:14 I just said, I don't know if I would play it all the way there. They describe Blighted. Blighted is a Metroidvania action RPG where players are either alone or co-op. By way through blah, blah, blah, blah. Harnessing blight by defeating enemies will change the world around you, modifying combat encounters, unlocking hidden paths and more. Award-winning composer Jim Guthrie, Sword and Sorcery below.
Starting point is 00:37:33 Nobody saves the world. is also back as the composer on the game, lending his skills to create an eerie feel for this devastated world. It is also launching a PC at the same time as a console exclusive to switch. Yeah, I don't know. Maybe it's something about the art style. Maybe it is just I'm so overdone with this genre. All those things we've said and alluded to.
Starting point is 00:37:51 We've done so much in the last few years. I love drink box at Guacamile, and I know I don't want to take this team and say, hey, you've got to only make Guacamalee, right? But that's where I fell in love with y'all. and then like every single thing since has just not really hit as hard. So I look at this and I wanted to be excited, but I just leave being like, oh, man, I wish we saw another guacamail line.
Starting point is 00:38:11 Okay. Well, I hope Andy likes it. I hope so too. We went from that to Dead Zone Rogue. Step into a forsaken space station in this fast-paced rogue-like shooter where every run is a heated fight for survival, so lower with friends online, battle through shifting procedurally generated corridors,
Starting point is 00:38:30 overrun with biomechanical creatures. scavenged and combined experimental weaponry to grow stronger and evolve with every encounter. Harness powerful gear, wield the elements in high intensity combat and push deeper into the station's heart to uncover secrets. Plus, use JoyCon to mouse controls for smooth loot and shoot and loot action. Fight, revive, adapt, and carve your own path through the void. Can you survive long enough to conquer the Dead Zone? Dead Zone Rogue emerges from the void on Nintendo Switched Shoe System March 17th. Didn't do anything for me, not shocking as I'm not the first-person shootery guy or whatever,
Starting point is 00:39:10 but I also just kind of felt it looked bland. I mean, I know about Indies. When they started it up, I was like, oh, you're doing a more realistic, whatever you want to call it, take on this. What was your take, Mike? Yeah, Greg, I mean, I think Roger said it so whether there's just a lot going on on the screen, and it seems, it looks very indie, right? It gives very indie. It looks like a fun idea with the rogue-like runs
Starting point is 00:39:30 and all the different permutations that you'll have on that, right? But when it comes to first-person shooters, it always will come down to how does it feel when you play? Is the shooting tight? Is the movement fun? Are the boss fights and the encounters a good and enjoyable time? People want a good co-op shooter adventure, right? Like we've seen that with Hell Divers, we've seen that with Left for Dead.
Starting point is 00:39:52 People like these experiences. It's all about how do you capture it and make it fun? And like the indie look of this, I don't know if that does it, but if it's fun and it plays well, then you have something else on your hands. I don't know, though. Yeah, just as I mentioned, a lot of icons. You look at this and it's like, I want to play this game to understand if it's good. Like, this is one of those you can't show me.
Starting point is 00:40:12 You can't just like, here's a cool trailer. Like, no, like this, you would need to have a bunch of friends playing it together to understand if this is going to be good, right? This does not show off well. But March 17th, so right around the corner. Well, it doesn't show off that well, and I will tell you, it is apparently already out on PC and PS5.
Starting point is 00:40:32 Silver Jay Hawkins says in a super chat, Love Dead Zone Rogue and recommend it to everyone since it's early access on PC and PS5. Kevin, I'm going to ask you if you can to get a Dead Zone Rogue PC or PS5 trailer because on the Steam page, it looks like a completely different fucking game. Where I'm like, oh yeah, that looks great.
Starting point is 00:40:51 Stop it. That looks awesome. I'm looking on the Steam page. I can send you that, Kevin, if you want. Dead Zone Rogue Oh sorry, we're into that. Recent reviews very positive. English reviews very positive.
Starting point is 00:41:02 So August 11th, 2025 is what it's putting here. And it looks way fast, way fluid, way more detailed on Steam. So once again, in the same vein as don't probably play mixtape on Switch,
Starting point is 00:41:15 probably don't play Dead Zone Rogue on there. As I looked at that and was like, how cute. Oh, wow. How cute. And you look at it. Oh, this is a real game. There's a real first-person shooter.
Starting point is 00:41:24 Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. This isn't two people. Oh, so much faster. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. The mood has completely shifted on that. It feels like the same trailer we saw, but like double-speed. Double-speed and high-dice.
Starting point is 00:41:34 It's like the Toby McGuire meme of Spider-Man, right? Where he's like this. And he puts the glasses on these. Oh, wow. Yeah. Oh, my gosh. So much more particles. Okay, yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:42 Okay, much better showing here. Much better showing. Dead Zone rogue, I wasn't familiar with you and I take back some of the things I said. I apologize. I still a lot of game for Greg, but I, now I'm not looking at going like, oh, cute. I'm like, no, this is a very competitive. A very competent video game that you should probably be playing on PC or apparently PlayStation 5.
Starting point is 00:41:59 So go get that one. From there, we then had a little quick one, right, of montage you stuff. Grave seasons popped up there to say it's coming out this summer. Establish your farming, sorry, establish your new farming life and embed yourself in idyllic town with some seriously unsettling vibes. Your peaceful life is put at risk when you discover someone in town as a supernatural serial killer. Grave's, Grave Seasons launches on Nintendo Switch to Summer. Roger's going to eat his words on this. No.
Starting point is 00:42:24 Roger's going to eat his words on this game. I want Fields of Mystery. I don't want to play any other game. Roger's going to play this and get lost in the mystery. He's going to solve this murder and he's going to love this game. Oh, okay. So you're solving the murder. Okay. Well, I played this at SGF. This is Blumhouse. Of course, they are making all the horror games and doing cool shit with it.
Starting point is 00:42:44 It was the idea that you are, you escape jail. You take over this thing. So there's this whole thing of like you have to hide your true personality from it. Oh. I think there's a werewolf murder or like some kind of monster. out there killing. I was like, damn, I respect Stardew. I respect Fields and Austria. I've tried. They just don't click for me where I was like, oh, tossing in the horror game element of it in that story thread, I think I could get into this.
Starting point is 00:43:07 Yeah. Okay. If you're solving it, I could be a little bit more. I think you're deducing. I don't know if you're like, it seemed like there was like the thing of like, here's all the people and then you can cross off if they've done. Well, I think that's the people getting killed. Oh, okay, okay. All right. I'm 50-50 on it. I don't want a subversion. I don't want a subversion. I just want the game. You know what I mean? I want the starties. I want the Fields of Mystery.
Starting point is 00:43:27 Fair enough. But it's cool. Unrail 2 back on track was next. The chaotic co-op railroad builder returns bigger and wilder than ever work through, work together, sorry, online, multiple to gather resources, craft tracks, and guide. Mike, you pop for this one. Yeah, I mean, we did a party mode just a couple weeks ago of Unrailed 1 on the switch, right? I'm someone that this is a Gary Witter recommendation and Gary Wittner with a absolute banger right here.
Starting point is 00:43:51 If you're looking for a fun game with family friends, a little. party mode type game. Unreal 2 was on PC with early access and onward and so it's awesome to see it come to switch to because it was one of those when I was telling Rogers like I want to play Unrail 2 and it's like oh it's only Unrailed 1 which is still a great game but Unreal
Starting point is 00:44:08 2 is that much better and so much more fun so awesome to see this coming out. From there we rolled into Toom 2 set off a new photo adventure spurred by your awakened passion for discovering and photographing, photographing mysterious events known as Toems
Starting point is 00:44:23 jump and climb across new regions, lend a hand to new faces, and create lasting friendships all along the way. It launches on Switch to Summer. Of course, I adored Tom number one. Another game, Papagenda did represent, and that Portillo was in, but all that aside, I thought it was great, so I'm super stoked for another one. And I'm glad we were this close.
Starting point is 00:44:40 I wasn't sure when we'd actually get it, summer 2026, not far off at all. It's like a Pokemon snap type deal? What are you doing this? A little bit. You're giving, like, more puzzly stuff to do with it, helping people unlocking things, helping them out of their James or whatever. But yeah, Kevin rolled it into there, of course,
Starting point is 00:44:57 because this is, Kevin, you do a great job. Of course, this is just a very quick montage. We're giving the games more time than Nintendo did. In Kobini, one store, many stories. Step into the quiet glow of a late night, Kobini, that's a convenience store, set in 1990s town inspired by Japan and discover they had enjoyed daily routines.
Starting point is 00:45:14 Stock shelves, explore the colorful neighborhood, and meet charming customers with stories of their own that you can help shape. In Konbini, one store, many stories launches on Switch 2 and didn't have switched April 30th. Again played this
Starting point is 00:45:30 at GDC, I want to say two years ago. Yes. Loved what I played and was like, damn. And I was very much of like, will we ever, they were making it sound like this game was really far away. And I know two years ain't nothing to fuck with. But like, I'm shocked that it's here. I'm so excited that it's here.
Starting point is 00:45:45 How much of this is like the stories you're shaping? Or is it like, because I just want to, you know, go in there and do the sim. aspect of it. There's a lot of simulator, but there's heart to this simulator. There's a soft story of community and tales going on, right?
Starting point is 00:46:00 Like, when I think of community or when I think of simulator games, I'm going to use the word, a little slop, okay? Very basic to the bare bones. We're just going to get this game out. We're going to add as we go, this is not that.
Starting point is 00:46:13 This is very much, if we thought about the core, yes, you're going to be in the convenience store. You're going to be stocking shelves. You're going to be making those purchase. or selling that stuff at the cash register. But like, there's a story going on. There is some community being built. Yeah, hard to say, I mean, based on the demo I did or whatever,
Starting point is 00:46:30 but it wasn't like run outside and do this thing. It was like, turn the sandwiches. Put the thing out there. He's looking for this kind of thing. Stock the show. Gotcha. That felt good. I like that.
Starting point is 00:46:40 Okay. From there, we went to outbound. Turn an empty camper van into the home of your dreams and this cozy off-the-grid exploration game. Play solo or online multiplayer that supports up to four players, and craft workstations, gather energy from natural sources, upgrade, and customize your vehicle.
Starting point is 00:46:57 Grow crops and explore a colorful world. Outbound roles on Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch 1. April 23rd. There is a free demo today. Okay. Is this simulating for you? I got a couple other simulators that are high on my list right now, but I'll keep this one in my back pocket just in case.
Starting point is 00:47:15 Fair enough. Fair enough. I'm looking at their official press release. And of course, is PlayStation 5 and Xbox. It has over 1.2 million wish lists on Steam so... God damn. Very for them. They're looking
Starting point is 00:47:28 forward to this one quite a bit. From there, Rattatan. Of course, you know it well from Greg Miller, talking about the spiritual successor to Pat upon. Again, early access on PC already. Played the shit out of it on a flight back from the East Coast once. So I did like six hours of it. Loved it, but it
Starting point is 00:47:44 was like, I'm going to wait for updates. They had a big update in December. I didn't go back to it because of, you know, X, Y, and Z. But a full release, I'm excited about Rattaton command over 100 unique characters in this rhythm, rogue-like action game that blends musical timing with side-scrolling combat, play solo or in local and online multiplayer for up to four players, ride the rhythm when Rattaton launches on Nintendo switch to July 16th. I am stoked. I'm going to see if I got a full press release or anything else than I need to know.
Starting point is 00:48:12 Because if you got Ratton news, I need to know, here we are. Yeah, it will launch PlayStation 5 Xbox Series X, switch to July 16th worldwide, blah, blah, blah, blah, we know pat-upon. Okay. Casey in the chat says, I'm in the Rattaton Kickstarter. Some news that got shared today. Switch one version canceled.
Starting point is 00:48:28 Oh. So, good. It's too exclusive. Good. Don't hold us back. It sucks. I know you want it, but you don't hold us back,
Starting point is 00:48:34 everybody. All right, we got to go. It is what it is. We've got to do the goddamn thing. And then your one more thing, everybody. Blueprints comes to the Nintendo Switch. Today,

Plus, smoothly navigate about Holly with JoyCon to mouse controls, unravel the truth day by day, step by step, and room by room. make every step count when blueprint launches Blueprints launches Nintendo Switch today
Starting point is 00:49:25 Kevin take it away Can't wait Give me more access Give me something I can do remote That doesn't mean Like I can have to connect to my Wi-Fi I'm so stoked
Starting point is 00:49:35 I'm gonna play this I'm gonna put a bunch more hours He was doing a lot of portals He was playing a lot of poros He was like is there multiple No no you're fine Yeah Yeah I mean it's it's a big deal
Starting point is 00:49:45 Like just the not having to be home Don't need Wi-Fi That's awesome. It's so much fun to play handheld. This is where it belongs. It doesn't, it's not like exquisite, you know what I mean? Like in the sense of like it's not anything that needs crazy power. So I'm stoked.
Starting point is 00:50:01 Hell yeah. And that was the director. You guys have anything to say about blueprints? I was going to ask if Rogers ever jumped into it. I jumped in for maybe six hours. I was awful at it. Again, I didn't want to play my Steam deck. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:13 I enjoyed it. I had a good time with it. And then things came up. Do you think this is the right one to end with? Probably, right? This is the, out of all of this. A possible game of the year. Yeah, you're right.
Starting point is 00:50:21 This is a heavy hitter. Okay. For what an indie, for a Nintendo indie showcase? Yes. I just wonder if it's like, should we be focusing on a new game or something instead of, I guess all of these are kind of ports. So there isn't like anything brand new right there. So, yeah, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:50:35 I just wonder. Well, Rodwood was brand new. When I think about it of like, hey, if we're going. Well, no. It's the year of early access games. It's the life of early access. Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 00:50:44 I just think about it like starting off with Dentia Tech makes a lot of sense to me. Ending it with Blueprints. Like, okay, that's fine, but it's also on other consoles, right? Like, it's shadow drop, though. Shadow drop is pretty cool. Shadow drops is a big deal. You know, okay. You're winning me over.
Starting point is 00:50:55 You're winning me over. Just want to have the conversation. Again, I think, Greg. Go fuck. I think, you know, again, that's what my expectation for this kind of showcase is. Yeah. I know I'm getting a lot of ports, a lot of PCs and things that, but it's like, we go through this list. There's so much stuff I missed.
Starting point is 00:51:10 Or things that I've bought and I haven't played yet, but I know are great. I love seeing those get to a new audience and find this kind of love. And again, Rotwood. Oh my God, that's amazing. Incredible. It's been in Alexis. None of us fucking new. None of us are paying attention to it. Dead show Rogue has been out. Well, that may have done damage to the brand by showing up in the first few things.
Starting point is 00:51:28 But everybody else did great. I've got a couple of super chats before we get out of here and start Kind of Funny Games Daily. Loyal Freaks review goes like this. We got release dates for mixtape and Inconvini. So I see this is an absolute win. Good. Glad you're happy. The Lorne Mandoz says, birthday tax. Happy birthday.
Starting point is 00:51:48 Happy birthday, Lord Mandoz. Recently started Kazan McDonald's book, recently, that's why is it. Recently started Keshe McDonald's book recently, thanks to Greg's recommendation, and I'm loving it. Any other books similar to that you can recommend? For the history of that, of course, there's a gazillion that are great.
Starting point is 00:52:03 I just did the Animal Crossing one, so check out Boss Fight books. Boss Fight does books about all your favorite games for different authors. It's awesome. It's incredible. There's a great Metal Gear one from Ashley and Anthony Birch that's just hilarious as they tear the game apart because they love it. But it's like, then you got Kelsey doing
Starting point is 00:52:20 Animal Crossing and it's like a thorough history and here's all the actual information about it. It's great. Shry guy? Shry guy, of course. Hold on. Before I, Colet Soul Wars, of course, the Sega Nintendo feud from back in the day. That's an amazing one. Yes, Jason Shrier's work is incredible. Of course,
Starting point is 00:52:36 the most recent one we had done was the Blizzard one. Play nice. The rise, fall, and future of Blizzard, which I adored, obviously very specific. But of course, there's press reset by Jason trier, which is all about, hey, here's people getting laid off and what they're doing from here on out in video game industry. And then the other one play nice. His first one.
Starting point is 00:52:53 Oh, sorry. It's there. It's all the different games in the stories about that didn't come. I just reread it slash Reddit through the fucking fuck chat. Blood sweat and pixels. Thank you. Blood Sweat and pixels, another fantastic.
Starting point is 00:53:09 All of Jason's books are awesome. Masters of Doom. Also. So fucking good. Yeah, I read that somewhat recently. Fucking incredible. Insane stories. Gotta read that. Peter. Peter. Super Chad says, was really hoping to hear news on Neverway or Marriachi Legends. Broken Heart. I'm not even familiar with either of those games
Starting point is 00:53:28 off top of my head. Andy drafted Mariachi Legends onto his fantasy critic game. Yeah. Is that a Metrivenio? Is that a Bloodbore? I don't know. That game was gorgeous, though. You'll get it eventually. Oh, damn. Okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Mariacci's Legends is a brutal pixel art combat, orion
Starting point is 00:53:45 Tradevania set in the heart of Mexico. Damn, that looks awesome. Okay. Sam Godfrey said, no witchbrook pain. Yeah, you'll get, I feel like that's an actual proper Nintendo direct one because that game is so much high behind it. Jack B2 says, Greg, you should check out under the island for an S&ES Zelda-like.
Starting point is 00:54:03 Shout it to Slime King Games. I haven't pulled up over here on my Switch right now. I've seen the art before, but I've never read too much into it. A 2D action adventures steeped in 90s charm, step into the shoes of Nia, in battle fierce monsters, solve clever puzzles, and explore a world alive with mystery.
Starting point is 00:54:18 And it looks to be a young girl here with a hockey stick. And then, yes, pixel art, Zelda-looking graphics that look fucking really cool. Okay. And I will be checking this out. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:54:27 What on his list? I appreciate that. I'm hitting the heart. Craig's got so many games. I know, and I'll play. But I have to play redacted, so I won't even touch it.
Starting point is 00:54:35 He's got to play redacted. There was a game called Redacted. There was a game. It was in the universe of Colisto Protocol. The list of protocol, bro. Yep. Final super chat for this show comes from Aaron Lime.
Starting point is 00:54:48 Hope Rataton does well for the studio. I need them to thrive after Sony shut down Japan studio. Maybe we could have had games like that on the PS5. Oh, well, yes, I agree. I love Ratatan and I love Patapon, but I think, again, we go back to PlayStation, Sony. We need lots of profit, not little profit. These Japan studio games make little profit if that, we want big profit. Which sucks for, I think, the identity and personality of PlayStation, but apparently is good for their bottom line.
Starting point is 00:55:17 Maybe. Who cares? If you want this game, support it. Buy it when it comes out. Did this Patapon remasters come out? Huh? It was Patapon. Not rematch.
Starting point is 00:55:25 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. The Band-on Namcoe. They did, yeah. Okay, cool. You know, an interesting choice from them of like, here's all these PSP games. What a fun to tell her to write that was. Like the one I missed or something to? It's incredible.
Starting point is 00:55:40 C.J. Clarkson says, is anyone kind of funny review? reviewing Crimson Desert. It looks like reviewers can say if they have it and are playing it. Yes, we have Crimson Desert. Several of us are playing it. You will see that review
Starting point is 00:55:51 next week. It's not that I am a bargain from saying it. I'm allowed to say it. I just don't know what it is. I think it's the day before launch. It's on Twitter. Next week's GDC
Starting point is 00:55:59 where Mondays are giant GDC stream the week after that. Yes, they were talking to the Crimson Desert people. They asked what's up with the review day. And that everybody! Is the kind of funny games, yes.
Starting point is 00:56:10 Roger, I cut you off. No, I was just going to make a joke and say it would be great if they're baiting you to break embargo again. We got his ass. That's how you end it. Bring that energy did. Dude, I want to be part of the biggest new segment ever. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:56:23 I did. It's an embargo I set. I just didn't want you to do it. Broken bargo. Craig sucks, everybody. Everybody's been another kind of funny games cast. If you're watching live, we're about to do games daily. After that, there's going to be a kind of funny podcast without Kevin Smith because of these two chuckleheads. And then it's going to be a party mode, maybe where we play
