Each taking turns, giving some predictions, giving some Gatorade, get hype moments, all the craziness. This one's going to be a little bit different, though. Why? Why? You may ask. Ask why, Andy. Why? Thank you. Because E3 is different this year. There's no PlayStation. The conferences are kind of all thrown. No real EA conference. No real EA.

So it's usually what we would do is we each come with five predictions for PlayStation 5 for Microsoft, 5 for Nintendo, and then 5 for Other. But that doesn't really make sense here. So instead, we decided just do 10 overall. and we'll kind of have the discussion that way, taking turns one by one as we go through these predictions. That is something we do. But before we do that, I just want to talk about E3 as a whole.

How are we feeling? What are our hype levels? It's two weeks from now, or fewer than, actually. Week and a half, EA play kicks off on June 8th or something, right? Just to set that stage. I guess by the time people hear it, it's a week away if you're on YouTube. Great Bill, you have something to say that Joey gave you the right to sell. I got a whole bunch of stuff to say.

You know what I mean? Go for it, man. So we're talking about E3, ladies and gentlemen. Cacao, that's a pre-show reference. You missed 30 minutes of great content. What's happened with my tongue, Tim? There's only one way to know. Watch the pre-show.

It's true. That's not a lie, Tim. I'm not selling any good here, ladies and gentlemen. Well, I got it. But let's get back to E-3 and get serious for a second. E-3 the best time of the year. What Joey's greenlighting me to say is something that's happening on Thursday night. But what I want to talk about is just in general,

the kind of funny plan for E3, Timothy Gettys. Let's go, baby. So Saturday is E. I'm down there. Andrew is down there. We're hosting stuff down there. You can watch. Not a real conference, though.

You know what I mean? It's just developers talking about their games, which is awesome. It's awesome. Yeah. Sunday then is when E3 Popper starts with all the press conferences, right? So as usual, every one of the major press conferences, so Microsoft, Bethesda, in terms of the first day, we'll be doing the pre-and-post shows for. Then Monday, same deal. Including watch-alongs.

Wednesday. We are going to go see a bunch of. games all throughout the day. No, no. That's canceled. That's canceled indefinitely. I'm surprised you didn't hear that. You should have come to the meeting.

Wednesday, we're going to go see a million different games we can't talk about. I'm hosting a coliseum panel I can't talk about. Then at the end of the night, Tim, you and I are going to a hotel room and or bar and recording a games cast of what we saw for the day. That goes up at hopefully, knock on wood, as a YouTube video. The next morning. Right. So the thing that we, the games cast we record on Wednesday, that will be everything that we play

Tuesday and Wednesday will go live Thursday morning. Right. Then Thursday, what happens? So then, Thursday, we see a million more games. I don't have you looked at the schedule. I jammed it up. I'm gonna pack you a PB&J and a power bar because you just are working non-stop.

I love it. Then at 6 o'clock, we are doing our annual tradition of taking over GameSpot. So from 6 to 6.30, isn't it? We're doing a meet and greet over there. Because I have it right now that just have, we're at the GameSpot base station at Chick Hearncourt, which is over at LA Live, right?

Yes. Where the Battlestation thing was before. We're there from 6 to 8, and I believe it's 630 to 8. we're doing the panel. If I understood correctly, it's six to seven is the meeting group. Okay, seven to eight is the podcast. Gotcha. So we're doing a meeting greet over there that you can come get in line for

and hang out with us at six to seven. Then we do the podcast seven to eight. Then we go. Then we go. Thursday night you said? The fun's not over. What and when are we posting that? When does that go up? That will go up there's Friday morning. Friday morning. Got cool. Game stands. All you stop because Friday we're hanging out with our boys at easy allies. That's right. What are we doing? We're not sure. They're doing a stream. They're doing a stream, we're going to be on that stream, but we're also going to record Mondays, games cast, with some people from Easy Allies.

I'm not trying to be cagey, we just don't know. We'll see who's not busy. Literally, we're about to take a laptop with a webcam and go in random room that they give us and just see who walks in. Exactly. We'll see what happens. And I left one off to. The maid. All the way back, all the way back, all the way back to Saturday. EA play. Once that's wrapped, I'm running over to Ghostbusters Fan Fest and hosting the Ghostbusters, the video game remake, or remastered panel. Of course you are. Only me and Greg are going down. In past years, we've sent the whole team. That was the only event that we've ever sent all kind of funny members, too. But this time we're not, reason being, what's up here? Also, Dave Cooleyer going to be there. Yeah. James Banking of the Realgo. But reason being is this is a different E3.

Not as much to do, not as much to see. And on top of that, in terms of games cast crew, Greg and I would be there. Rand's going to be there. Rand's going to be there. So all the people talking about their hands-on experience, they're going to be there. Well, I'm sure Fran will be too busy for us. He'll have to go do another 12 community podcast. I was not in, so wait, am I doing any of the gamescast stuff you're saying?

No. Do you want to be? Do you want to come on Wednesday? You can't know what I'm saying is you're going to get your hands on games. I'm covering stuff for whenever we come back to play. Gotcha. Yes. That's what I didn't know.

I thought you were saying I'm too busy for the Thursday, whatever day it was. And I was like, I don't know. You're free to be on any of our content. But anyway, I'm going down there as well. Yes. Very excited to see stuff. I'm going to the Microsoft conference. What else?

There was a... Oh, yeah, if there's the Fortnite party, I'll be there, and then I'm still... I want hands-on reports from the Fortnite party. Oh, yeah. What you're getting into? What did you eat? What did you drink?

They got some sliders? They got some sliders? That's what I knew. Oh, they definitely will have slides. Their sliders they had last year were really good. Worth pointing out for the first time ever, yeah, it's just me and Tim down there. You guys, thank you.

You guys are all down there doing your thing. Big face. But more importantly, for the first time ever, we have a kind of funny correspondent. Kind of funny's never really gone to the press conferences because we're always live reacting to him. So this time around we said, who could we send there

to get a temperature read on all the situations? Oh, I think I know who it is. Snowbike Mike. I heard about that. I heard about that. I just put it. That's amazing. It's going to be great.

He's going to lose his mind. Will he join us in some of these podcasts? Maybe we need to see. Will we call Pete Hines before the Bethesda show on the live stream? Definitely. Guarantee it. Guarantee it.

And yeah, and a cool thing too with this is for some of the conferences and I can't confirm which ones yet. because they're still working on that, but we're going to be featured on Twitch's live stream. Oh. So Twitch.tv.com. Sure. Our pre-impos shows are going to be the featured ones.

Nice. Yeah, it's always there. Twitch presents, right, one of the two. Probably, probably Twitch. Andy, everything I just said would be great if you could put in a graphic for me. A little infographic. Maybe you do it on your phone. Yeah.

Yeah. It's going to be fun. But again, jokes aside, all this bullshit aside. E3. I can't wait. Yeah. Totally. It's E3.

It's still going to be an awesome E3. Hipped I've been. for an E3 ever. Yeah, and having said that, I'm still hyped. But normally I'm going in and I'm just like, holy shit, what are we going to get? And I do feel the lack of PlayStation is a major killer to me because when I'm coming up with these predictions, like I feel like PlayStation is always the most fun because they're the one that always have the best presentation and come with the most hype surprises, I would say,

at least in the last couple years. So them not being there, I feel kind of tarnishes that level of it. And it's not like there's some huge crazy thing that I'm expecting to see blown out. The exception being Microsoft and what they're going to end up showing with the X cloud. That's what gets exciting about it though

is what is Microsoft going to do? What is Xbox going to do, right? It seems that it's confirmed. It's two hours long. They're doing two hours of press conference. That's been the rumor from this week. They always do close to 90 minutes, sometimes a little shorter.

It's always around 90 because they'd never be go over. But I think a lot of that has to do with the fact that there's not a PlayStation conference. So they're kind of, they become the premier conference, which is great. And it's leading the conferences. The first conference we get is Microsoft because EA play, not a conference, more of a, oh yeah, there's Sunday. Really, there's Sunday around noonish for Microsoft or something you're saying?

Yeah. So it's just interesting because usually we get PlayStation kind of ending it all on Monday night. And then Nintendo comes in. Well, that's always the way it kind of works. It feels like Microsoft comes out and does first swing and then PlayStation does last swing. And then Nintendo's its own thing. Well, we had EA. But you, yeah.

In previous years. Sure. But you make the biggest point, which we've already talked to about a little bit. Like Sony PlayStation was a vehicle for a lot of trailer announcements, just third party announcements. Even EA itself would sometimes hold back something just for the big conference. And now you have this huge gap and they're going to add 30 minutes, it sounds like, to the PlayStation conference's first parties aside, we get, that's where we got Resident Evil 7, that's where we got Resident Evil 2, that's where we got Final Fantasy 15.

That's where at Kingdom Hearts, it's like, PlayStation's conference is usually where we get these kind of bigger announcements from the third parties. And now that you've got to assume that's going to be Microsoft. It turns all eyes to Microsoft. Because that's the only place they can be. Exactly. Yeah, Microsoft's got to be feeling like, you know, the headliner of this concert is not playing tonight.

This is our, like, chance to shine. I'm really excited what they have the show with all their first party acquisitions and stuff, if we see anything because it's, you know, it's only been a year since those announcements were made. I think you're going to see a lot of that. I think they need to start laying the ground work for why you need to be excited for the next box, right? The Anaconda or the scarlet or whatever.

Like you here's the reasons and the proofs in the pudding and this is what we've been working on where they're going even if it is just Teaser trailer showing you what's happening how they're doing the initiative or whatever coalition all them Coalition's doing a Gears right? Yeah. It's the initiative that was the new Santa Monica one? I always fucked that one up. Yeah initiatives new Santa Monica You just did everyone's predictions in two minutes. Oh there's more than that. Don't you worry out that brother and then yeah you we've talked about it before square like what are they doing when they come out here at the end I mean that's the thing man I we that we know what they're doing we know Avengers we know No, Final Fantasy 7. And, like, that alone is like, cool, that's going to be a great conference.

Like, those are two of the biggest possible titles that last year going into E3, those are two ones that we're like talking about being at Sony. Those were like the big, like, question marks of, will they be there? What are they going to announce? And then they both kind of flubbed it and weren't there at all. But now with the confirmation of them being there, like that's huge, especially knowing that there's going to be stuff in the middle, probably a lot of very Japanese games. Yeah.

But that's right. They have those are two big headlines, 6 p.m.ish Monday night, right? Yes. Because it takes over the Sony 30? Yeah, six. Our 530s are. Our 530s are pre-show.

Twitch.com. Funny games. Going back to what Andy said about showing off of like what Microsoft have to show off with the acquisitions. Phil Spencer did tweet out

about lots of show. We have 14 Xbox games studio games in the show this year, more first party games than we've ever had in a show. Yeah, that's great. I mean, we know about

a lot of those games already. We know Ori, we know. Dears 5. Gears 5, Halo Infinite. Yep. So there's more too But yeah Off top of our head

Right. Well, yeah, I mean, we wouldn't double. The gamification of this, ladies and John. I didn't get that part. Because you're trying to get them points. So you need to strategically. Well, depending on what order goes, you go And I'm not to have much to say

So that and I won't lie to you This is a tough year for me Yeah I feel like I know a lot of shit about and I'm not, and for the record, I'm not talking about Jedi because you know I'm hosting that a EA player or whatever with Andrea. I don't even fucking seen that game. I can't wait to talk to people about that game. I'm not talking about that. Other games, I know a shit ton of out. And it's really put me in an awkward position of like, fuck, I would have predicted that, but it's too late.

I digress. Here we go. Square Enix starts their conference with Marvel's Avengers. Final Fantasy 7 is in the middle. And Square Enix ends with the announcement of Final Fantasy 16. Damn it! See, this is how the game is played. He's already fucking me. That's why I needed you up to that one.

Yeah. I got stuff in here you wouldn't even think about because you're an idiot. I totally buy that. I don't think it's a sure thing. But I think that there is a high likelihood. I've said this a million times. We have never went anywhere near this long

not getting a proper Final Fantasy announcement. Yeah. 15 was announced, I mean, debatably how you want to talk about it. When it was versus 13. Yeah. Right. Decades ago, it feels like.

But even as 15, that was 2013, I want to say. So then the game came out. It's been out years now. And no 16, kind of weird. I think now it would be the time. It'd be interesting for them to focus and release announce that next to Final Fantasy 7 making its actual, like, real debut with stuff. But I'm feeling it for me as well.

If you want to take a step further, Greg. Do you have any more thoughts on what Final Fantasy is? 16 might look like. I think it's going to be a very a CG trailer. I don't think we're going to get any gameplay. It's not, it's going to be like a bunch of weird shit

where you don't know 100% know what's happening. And then you get the title screen. There'll be some stupid noise in the front that makes you go and then I'll be like, and you'll be like, it's for a person. Oh man, I got this big sword. Oh, I don't know what to do.

I know what to do. Is that Troy Baker? I don't know what to do. Oh my God. What are we going to do? I'm going to drive this car because I like Drew beer. I don't know.

And then it'll be Final Fantasy 16. The classic Final Fantasy stereotypes. What I was trying to get at, I was asking you is, do you think it's going to be more the style of like this futurist style or is going to go back to like fantasy ass fantasy stuff? Ah. I think, you mean like,

Final Fantasy 9 style? Yes, exactly. I think that it's going to be, the original tech demo they put out in like 2012, Agnes philosophy, which was kind of cool, realistic looking stuff, but it was a female protagonist.

and there was a lot more magic going on, I think that that game is going to be fall past C-16. Gotcha. So, cool. This one's for Joey. Where are you at, Joey? Don't even say it, you little shit. Where are you at, Joey?

It better be good. It would be good. It'll leave a lot of O-F-A-Gs for me. I mean, it's really not. It's just, this was for Joey. She just wanted, she wanted me to call something out. During Nintendo's presentation, Animal Crossing for Switch will be,

the release date will be announced for August 6th, 2019. Congratulations, Joey. Congratulations. You're getting into the game this year. So you're happy about that? I am happy about that. I definitely thought you were going to say they were just going to say that. Why that date?

I thought you were going to bring a Pokemon snap. 2025. Oh, no, no. No snap. You're not crazy. So realistic predictions. They already didn't. Do you know that date mean anything in the Animal Crossing world?

No. You just pick the date. No, I'm just saying it's coming out. I'm saying it's coming out soon. We're getting you a date soon and it's going to like kind of, oh shit, that's a lot sooner than we thought. Everybody's going to have that reaction. August feels a little.

I've hacked already for Nintendo though. So I don't know if they would do that. I feel like Animal Crossing would be more of a, like September earliest, but I could be a December, first week of December. Did I say August 5th? You meant December 6th, whatever that is. I meant September. I don't think it's September either.

I think of December. My money would be December for Animal Crossing. What if it is August 6th? Get yourself a little snowfall in town. I feel like an idiot. It sounds pretty good now. I could just add that in if they give a to us in August or September.

That's true. Have a snowy event. Fran. Well, I'm just going to start with the obvious one, but I'm going to at least give some detail. I mean, this is going to be. A lot of people play for granular points. Yes. So I've got exactly.

Now I'm getting a little more of it. I'll do my best to follow now that I know we're doing. But this is good enough, I think. Obviously, the next Xbox, that's going to be announced. That's sort of unknown. But when you think about it, this is the first. Do you think it's a known? Do you think for sure?

So, no. So that's what I'm going out. with some risk here, but this is Microsoft's chance, and let me get to it, it will be the first next-gen gameplay you see on consoles. This is their opportunity, and they're going to throw that out there. Not just the name, not just ExClaught is this,

and it's going to be Games Pass, and think a lot. But do we got the name? Oh, yeah. Oh, no, name? Oh, you threw me for a loop on that one. Let me focus at first time. They're going to announce the name. Xbox Plus Plus.

The name? I don't know if they'll do the name. They might stick with like, it's coming, but we want to show. you what the future looks like. We're getting the name. And why they've been, you think the name will be there too. If you predict that we're getting the name, I'm taking that one.

I'm putting it on my list. Which is fine. You take the name. But what excites me, and I do think it's very plausible. Like this will be the first, like, from their studios or something from a studio. We will see what the future looks like on a console because like I was just playing, what was I playing on PC recently that looked really good? Anyway, oh, rage.

TurboTex. I knew it. It was rage. There it is. lot of people. People are, oh, this game looks good and a couple of games right now. And I was like, I think this is a good glimpse into what that future might look like. But everything between Ray Trace and all that, they might be the first to come out and say it's coming and here's what it looks like. Gameplay.

Play, play, play. So to clear this up, because I want to clarify for the points here. Is they'll show next Jane gameplay on the next Xbox and they'll make that clear. The goddess gameplay. It may not be real games. I'm saying that it's going to be this. is a real tech demo of gameplay. Not what it may look like,

but a real tech demo that... Everything you just saw was not... It was in the engine. Yeah. That was running on Xbox 2. From people working on the platform. All right. My first one, Microsoft's conference.

George Railroad Martin. Yeah, I wanted to... From software. Yeah. It's real. The rumors are real. We're seeing it at Microsoft. No date.

No year. No anything. You just see it. Just like his books. Exactly. And people get real fucking hyped because it looks dope as hell. Sure.

Is this a gameplay trailer? It's just a teaser 30 seconds of... That's my thing is I'm imagining more of the hype, CG stuff, a lot of text. Just building the world of what this is. That type of stuff. Really close ups on the blade.

Bonfires being laid. Yeah, exactly. You'll see the horse. It was too close. It was too close. You ride a horse towards like these kingdoms. I think you'll see, yeah, you'll see

I think you'll see a glimpse of gameplay. Gameplay? Yes. Oh yeah. No gameplay. I think. Really? Oh, okay.

You'll see a glimpse. Like whether it's meaning to just behind the horse, not like, say, fighting, but like just real. Like just the horse's legs. In other words, what I'm saying is in engine.

Oh, okay. Not cut scene art, you know. So do you think there'll be in, Engine, like, game stuff? I don't think there'll be gameplay. No asset game. In Engine, at this point, CG and in engine, things look so good, so it's like...

They're very different, though. They are. Assets are not. You know what I'm saying? Like, a Final Fantasy cutscene is not an asset. Well, depending now, yeah, you're right, actually. I think we will see something like for Anna's talking about. I don't think it's going to be overhead with the UI and the character. No, I don't think we'll see that.

Greg Miller. Number two. Bethesda is ready to make you believe in fall at 76 again. They spend a healthy chunk of the show talking about it. They don't shy away from the early criticism of it. And they announce an event slash expansion. I'm not sure which.
