Yo, what's up?
Welcome to the kind of funny games cast for Friday, July 12, 2024.
I'm your host, Blessing, Adioia Jr.
I'm joined by the Locke, Roger McCornie.
Sipping my tea.
And we got the nitro rifle, Andy Cortez.
It's going to be me.
Oh, right.
I couldn't think of anything else, but that's all I got right now.
I just got real tired.
I got real tired of hit me.
Drink some more of that.
Chuck it right now.
Check it all right now.
EDC.
People don't understand how tiring with Show Games Daily is.
There's a lot of information, a lot of talking
A lot of reading
A lot of reading
I've never read that much
Talking about Breed Larson
Do you think that I could put
In my like reading log
In school like a KFGD episode
If I hosted it, you know what I mean?
Remember reading logs?
No
Fuck
I don't remember
Is it like you would read a book
And then yeah you have to log it or whatever
And you had to read like five books or something
Yeah
Like a month or something like that's some crazy
No way you're reading the media
You're reading five books a month
I was reading like I would do the thing
So you have to always take tests
Like they like started automating it
Where you would
you read Amelia Bedelia?
No, I was reading the Diary of Olympi Kids.
I was banging those out.
I was banging those.
Oh, everyone was though.
Everyone was, I did once, because we had to take, you know, tests on the books that we read
to like make sure, hey, did you actually read this book?
I was like, I watched the movie holes, like, years ago.
I can take this test on the book.
Fucking got two out of 25.
Oh, no.
Yeah, it was not good.
It was like, what's your favorite part?
It's like, I liked when Shiala Buff, they're like, no.
No, that's not.
That's not it.
What books didn't even read as a kid?
I was the kid that was not reading shit.
Surprising.
I read so much and then once middle school hit it just completely stopped.
That's when I was like, I want to try to learn how to play music and draw.
I read most of Kite Runner.
I remember that.
And then there was a big thing in my school of like them trying to, they try to ban Kite Runner in my school.
Is that like a Maze Runner type game?
No.
Book.
We're so brainrotted.
What type of game is that?
Can I get that on TikTok?
But yeah, I remember reading Kite Runner.
I read, what was the book that like?
got banned because
like they killed somebody
Huckleberry
No
Oh what was it
Because this is how I knew
That I was
This how I knew
How I knew now
Looking back
That I was destined for
Like to be a fucking
shitty person
And somehow like
Life intervened
It was like no you're good
Catcher
The Catcher in the Rye
Catcher in the Rye
Can I ban that?
I think so
Because like I think they did
some weird shit
In Catching the Rory
It's been so long
I don't remember
What happened
in that book
I think he like
talked to a hooker or something.
There was one of those
like,
talk to one.
Had a conversation.
Had a conversation.
But like, I remember in high school
being like,
yo, this book fucks.
This is a great book.
And then as I got older,
I realized,
I was like,
oh, people do not like this book.
And it turns out
there's a very shitty perspective
that shared in this book.
I think, I don't know.
But I think that was the point
of the book was like
how like shitty of a person he was.
But yeah,
but it was one of the ones.
It was like when people misunderstand
like Scott Pilgrim
and they're like,
oh, he's the hero.
We got to read more books.
We got to read more books.
That's your example.
This is why we got to figure this out.
We're exposing ourselves.
I was a high schooler, all right?
I was a different person.
You just made that connection now.
You know what I mean?
You're like, what's a story about a shitty person?
I didn't realize this yesterday.
I realized this early in my 20s.
I was like, shouldn't look up to this guy.
He'll start this book.
I'm like, hey man.
I also liked a series of unfortunate events.
I fucked with that.
Oh, I read that.
I really like that book.
kid. But enough about all that.
This is the games cast. We're talking about video games, not books.
Remember, each and every weekday, we get together and talk about the biggest reviews,
previews, and topics in video games live on YouTube, Twitch, and on podcast, or this is around
the globe. If you love what we do, support us with the kind of funny membership on Patreon or
on YouTube to get all of our shows ad-free, watch us record them live and get a daily
exclusive show. For a chance to be a part of the show, submit your thoughts and opinions as
YouTube superchats as we go. Housekeeping for you, of course, we're an 11-person business,
all about live talk shows. You just got.
KFD about Switch being the longest
Nintendo console, and we did the Captain America
reaction during that for some reason.
Right now is the good stuff.
Yeah, he was good stuff.
Right now is the games cast and after
this is the stream, which is going to be Concord
with me, Andy and Nick.
And pizza.
Let's go.
If you were a kind of funny member, you can get today's
Gregway, which is?
I don't know who's doing it.
Greg only told me asking for yesterday, so I guess I'm doing it again
today.
Oh, I have no idea.
Maybe he's doing it.
Let's figure it out.
We'll have a conversation.
Do you know who's doing Gregway?
I have no idea, but I know the one that I did earlier this week was showing people how to turn on the studio.
We could do a follow-up if we want, Roger.
I'm sure, knowing Greg Miller, somebody's doing it.
I don't know why I said it like that.
Knowing Greg Miller, I don't know what's happening.
Or maybe that's part of the mystery.
You'll have to tune in to find out.
Thank you to our Patreon producers, Carl Jacobs and Delaney Twining.
Today, we're right to you by Shady Ray's and A Better Paradise, but we'll tell you about that later.
For now, let's start with topic of the show.
Dot, dots.
Once again, Greg is gone.
Tim is gone.
They've sent their mic is gone.
The mic is gone.
They've sent their mightiest warriors,
the three of us,
to pod on their behalf.
I say that like we're not using on the show,
but, you know,
I wanted to build some pop in circumstances.
I appreciate it.
I appreciate it. We're special.
Let's talk about our most anticipated games
for the rest of 2024.
I have here the updated version
of Blessing Super Fun Game Release Calendar.
Wow.
I've not released it to the world yet.
Oh, and so exclusive.
You guys are getting an exclusive right now, the updated calendar.
Thank you for the applause, Roger.
You can applaud louder.
There we go.
Thank you.
No, no, no.
We're going to go game by game on Blessing Super Fun game release calendar
through the rest of the year.
And what I want to do to make this interesting is I want to award out badges, all right?
The badges that I have written down here are most anticipated.
And so each of us are going to, like, call out our.
most anticipated game.
Okay.
I got, I'll give it a shot for a game that, like, has piqued your interest,
but might be outside of like your, you know, usual, like, rotation of the game or your
purview or whatever, right?
Like, a game that you plan to give a shot.
You might not even know if you're going to finish this game, but you're going to give it a shot.
That's badge number two.
It's most games for Mac.
90% of every game with, like.
First off, before we get too deep into what we're doing, I really want to talk.
I really want to talk about
what a great Game Scouts we had yesterday
Yes, fantastic
And I also
You see the Twitter poll
You see the Twitter poll
A bunch of people
They didn't watch the episode
They're uneducated about my actual stances
I think a bunch of people are being more objective
Because they're seeing the list as they are
As opposed to Roger having to explain the tornadoes
Of Just Cause 4
That's important
That's an important part of it
What I do
Want to look back to
Right before we did the podcast
Was us all sitting down
and Roger going, I did my homework all weekend.
And I was like, oh, damn, I kind of forgot what this podcast was.
And Blessing was like, ooh, I'm kind of, I've started like last minute looking up different what my game might be.
And Roger was like, I'm the most prepared here.
Yeah.
And he came out there with that.
He also said he was the most prepared when we were doing our fantasy draft as well.
It's true.
Bear has pulled up the results of the straw poll that we put on Twitter.
And the results, Andy has taken it away and won with 53.4% of the VARETA.
vote. In second place, blessing at E.O.A. Jr., 33.
What a surprise. What a surprise.
What a surprise.
What a surprise.
Of the vote. In last place, oh, we got Roger
McCorney, oh, 13.3%.
But I do want to say that the Twitch
audience had me in second place.
The YouTube audience had me in second place.
The Twitch audience had us tied.
You know, we didn't see the final score.
They also, you know, they also had two seconds to vote.
They didn't have that long to vote. Here, the Twitter audience
had a lot more time.
Yeah, it was a straw poll in the chat yesterday.
Yeah.
I'm glad I wrote a scrub pole there.
I'm happy with that.
I'm happy with that.
That was like a bit.
You know, I get it, and I understand.
I'm just at a higher level of thinking.
And some real gamers, they understand.
I see it.
I see in the community.
I see the real gamers.
They understand the,
don't appeal to the real gamers.
You know who they are.
You know what appeal to those people.
My death stranding, they get it.
They understand everything about death stranding as I do.
Never played it.
They understand it.
They get it.
They understand the depth of that story of what that means.
When I tell you all day yesterday,
I kept thinking about you describing death stranding.
And why you wanted it as your story.
You're like, oh, I want a game with a story.
story that's in the background.
A story you don't have to think about.
Also, my favorite part of it was being, like,
oh, I just want the side missions.
I want the moons from Mario Odyssey.
And then, and then,
Barrett's like, have you ever played it?
I'm like, in back of my mind, I'm like,
I have played it.
It's one of my favorite games of all time.
I totally thought that some of these were optional.
You know what I mean?
Like, totally forgot about it.
Just haven't played that game in a minute.
Also on today's podcast where we were talking about the rest of the year,
and you talked about the, I'll give it a shot category.
Roger then proceeded to say,
that's most games for me.
That just happened
But that's why we love him
That's why I fuck with him
So yeah
That's the second badge is the
I'll give it a shot
The third badge is my multiplayer time sync
For a most player game
That you plan to spend a lot of time with
This is great
This is a good book
Thank you I appreciate it
I put a lot of work into this
Unlike some people
You know
That's about me
I do my homework
You'll never know
I do my homework
At my head I envisioned Greg
But then like I was like
Well Tim
host this show.
And Barrett was like Roger.
Then I was like, can I make this?
Well, because Pletting looked at Rogers.
That's why I was like, all right, I'm looking at Roger.
So that's the third badge is the multiplayer time sync.
Fourth badge, don't sleep on this.
For a game that's coming out this year that you think people might sleep on that you want to tell
him, hey, don't sleep on this.
And then the fifth badge I have here is, if this is bad, I'll quit my job.
Oh, I like that.
Yeah.
So can I use that as a way to quit my job?
You want to get out of here.
You're like, man, I'm going to, actually, I'm not going to.
you're out.
Yeah.
But yeah, if you want to, yeah, use that.
Super chats for this episode,
if you have any more badges you want to give us
to give out to games that are coming out
over the rest of the year,
write in with your super chats.
Or if you have, like, your answer for some of these badges,
that's a great one.
Yeah, or if you have your answer, either one,
let us know and we'll talk about it on the show.
Without further ado, I have blessings,
super fun game release calendar for the rest of 2024.
Wow.
Right now, today, as of the time we're recording this,
it's July 12th.
So let's start with the next major game.
game July 16th when I say major I'm just talking about it's on the calendar
aerial nights we never yield it's major to me because I'm starring in it
that's coming out July 16th that's exciting it's exciting I like the first one
if you're unfamiliar with the never yield games or and there's the runners
basically they're like platformers and they're pretty fun after that Bo
Path of the Teal Lotus that's coming out July 18th are you guys aware of
Bo played the Steam Nex Fest demo I was kind of like yeah this isn't yeah
I know what you mean, though, by this looks like it could be one of these cool Metroidvania side scrollers as fun action.
And I really got to give this shot, neat art style, cool little look and character.
It just, it wasn't doing a whole lot for me in the Steam Next Fest demo.
Maybe I definitely want to, you know, give it a shot.
Will that be my give it a shot?
Probably not.
Probably not.
I'm going to just put in here on like the Don't Sleep on this.
I'm going to give that retroactively to Nine Souls.
because I feel like people should play Nine Souls
before this game even comes out, you know?
That's not how this works, all right?
We're talking about the rest of the year.
You can't inventing.
I'll say, not enough people are fucking talking about Nine Souls
and this game just looks like Nintholes.
My multiple times think is Modern War for two
for the Xbox 360.
It's not the fucking safe thing.
But I will say to the Nine Souls thing,
that's what I think about when I think about
when I see this game.
Like, every time I see it, I'm like,
this looks a lot like Nine Souls.
I wonder if there is.
Like, I was thinking,
I was wondering about Barrett
and if Bear is going to like run to this one
because of that.
I mean, I'm interested in it.
We'll see how it
fairs against Nine Souls.
Because again, Nine Souls
Top Three for me this year.
Wow.
That's huge.
Wow.
Next up, we got Nintendo World Championships
NES Edition.
That's also July 18th.
Cool.
Is that going to be a multiplayer
time sync for any of us?
No.
I mean, we're going to do,
have we talked about this?
What were the stream?
I don't think so.
I don't know if it's a secret.
I'm not here next week.
And so I'm sad I'm going to miss
the NES World Championship hype.
Yeah.
But hopefully we play it again.
we probably won't.
No, we will never play this again.
But it's cool.
I'll pick it up.
I like NES games, and I like them packaging it in cool ways.
I do wish it was more NES remix, where it was like weird shit going on, but I'll take what I can get.
Yeah, I didn't grow up with this era, of course, so this doesn't do anything for me.
That's cool.
Next up, we got Shim.
That's coming to PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC on July 18th as well.
Didn't like the demo.
Really?
Real disappointed.
That sucks.
Just didn't work.
Well, like, not necessarily not disappointed in the day.
the game kind of.
Maybe that's a bit of it, but I'm also just bummed out that I
didn't like it. It's not what
I thought it was going to be.
I don't know why I assumed it'd be
a lot more like
kind of like
skill-based platforming.
And it's definitely more puzzling
with turning the rotation of the camera
jumping into these shadows. You're a little frog
and you traverse by jumping from
whatever shadows are being cast to another shadow being cast
whether it's as we're watching right here.
audio listeners, the shadow of a person walking by, you jump into their shadow,
and then you can jump into the shadow of a bench or whatever.
And it just, it didn't really work for me.
I just didn't really like the loop that was happening.
I don't know, I didn't think the game was going to be this, and you may be asking,
what did you think the game was going to be?
I don't actually know.
I just kind of really dug the art style.
It's got a very unique art style, but it just didn't work for me.
Because I know you said, you mentioned he thought it would be more skill-based
platforming.
Were the puzzles compelling to you at all?
Like, were there any points where you would have looked at this game as like a,
oh, this is a thinker though?
Like, I am, no.
No?
Dang.
How long was the demo?
Like, how meaty was it?
I played like maybe 45 minutes to an hour.
That's pretty meaty, actually.
Huh.
Yeah, no, I didn't expect that.
I don't know if I necessarily thought that it was going to be like,
sometimes of a precise platformer, but the fact that I'm seeing, like in chat,
people saying it's not really story-based or anything like that.
Like, yeah, I don't know.
Next up.
But I appreciate Bear bringing up the screenshot or the actual document for Blessness and Game Release Calendar.
Because, of course, I put in my little commentary in there.
All right.
Again, you're getting the exclusive right now.
The streets are, the streets have been asking for this.
The streets have been, like, bothering me about the Blessedest of Fun Game Release Calendar update for a minute.
And why don't you update it?
Is it just like, hey, this is, you know, quarterly or you have rules to this?
I just get busy.
And also, I wanted to let the entire Summer Game Fest, like all that stuff happen before I do it.
You got to let people cook.
can't just at, you know,
well,
wasn't built in a day sort of thing.
Next up,
we got EA Sports College Football 25.
That's coming on July 19th.
I'm excited for this.
I don't know if I'm going to give it a bed.
You are?
Yeah. Oh, wow.
I played,
I loved playing the college football games
back on like PS2.
I forget exactly what year.
It was like one of the month NCAA games.
But like,
I think there's something exciting about,
like,
the college aspect because I grew up in Champaign, Illinois,
right?
There's not a football team in Champaign, Illinois.
The closest football team would have
the Bears in Chicago, but there is the University of Illinois, right, which my sisters went to,
and I had another sister that went to Illinois State. And so, like, I would have put those
two teams against each other as rivals, and that felt like such a cool thing, right? The fact that
I had more of a local thing to look forward to, and I think the college football games gives
that to more people. And it's just another way to play football, right? Like, I know the NCAA
football game that I played would have, like, unique mechanics compared to Madden, where
I'm afraid it feels on offense or defense, but you can, like, hype up the crowd. Because, again,
it is more of a community thing, right?
It is more of, oh, yeah, we're going to get the crowd involved to, like, shake up the stadium
to make it more difficult for the other team.
That's fun.
Shit like that, I thought was very fun, and let alone, like, the...
Dude, I love creating a stadium.
Yeah.
Creating your school, like, being like, hey, we're going to start off as a small, like,
Juko school, and we're going to work our way up, and I'm going to design the stadium to be,
like, maximum sort of, like, what I envision, I don't even know if it was, like, necessarily
a game mechanic, but in my brain, kind of...
kind of like immersing myself in this world being like,
oh, this is where the student section will be.
And that's where I wanted to be the loudest at their end zone,
you know, like really, really kind of getting the opponent's heads.
I loved messing around with all the character creator stuff.
The college tradition aspect of it is so fun too.
Because yeah, I remember like even the marching bands
and like the music that would play in between segments and shit.
Like just had a different energy and feel that I think for me,
I just vibed with more than Madden.
Even though I don't know, it's been years and years now.
So since I was super into it.
But, like, I feel like Madden might have got just more production just for the fact that it was Madden.
But there was something about NCAA football that just vibed with me more.
Yeah.
So, yeah, I'm excited for this.
I was completely ignorant to the entirety of college football and kind of the way it worked and how different it was.
Of course, I know, like, there's some real differences there between actual NFL, but just the whole culture of it.
Like, I just had no idea about it.
Like, I would always see NCAA on the shelf.
We were a Madden family.
And, like, I would see that?
And I'd be like, oh, like, I already have Madden.
Oh, would I get that?
Yeah, it's a life style.
It's just completely different.
So, like, this is dope, and I'm excited for our streams and, like, to see the tailgating
aspect of it and, like, see how excited they get.
See, like, that's one of those ones where I feel like for, like, a lot of the bigger
streams or, like, the event streams, oftentimes I'll miss out because it won't be my
kind of game or I'll be doing, like, I'll be, like, busy doing other shit.
This is one where I'm like, oh, I'm sad that I'm going to be on vacation for, because
that would have been so totally down for the college tailgate and then also just to, like,
play competitive against, like, Greg or Mike or Handier, whoever wants to play college football.
Now, were you playing NCAA football or were you playing NCAA Gamebreaker?
NCAA football.
Football was the EA Sports one and Gamebreaker was nine, eight.
I don't think I really, I didn't realize there was a game breaker.
Like, when did that stop?
Gamebreaker probably stopped around 2003 maybe.
Oh, okay, never mind.
Then yeah, no, I'm, I didn't play those, but like I had a demo.
And I remember trying the demo and being like the same, this ain't nomad in the way.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Next up, we got Kunitugami Path of the Goddess.
Ah, your favorite game.
Coming July 19th.
You know all about it.
Funny enough, there is.
is a super chat here from SD Turtle 1023 who says,
are you guys reviewing Kunutsigami next week?
The demo is great, but I think it might be a hidden gem
if people don't talk about it.
Get the demo.
Oh, I didn't know there's a demo out.
I did not know those demo either.
I played it a bit at Summer Game Fest.
I thought it was really neat.
And I'm going to give this my badge for,
I'll give it a shot.
Wow.
Yeah, I'm going to give this game a shot.
It is a, it's funny playing the game and being like,
oh, that's what this is.
It's just like a tower defense game, right, where you're like organizing your troops, but then also when the enemies start to come through, you're doing like action fighting gameplay against them as well.
Oh, okay.
And so it is like setting things up, but then getting into your hack and slash type stuff.
That's sick.
Yeah.
It was cool.
Like has a very distinct, unique art style.
It's one that I don't know if I'm going to fall in love with.
I don't know if I'm going to spend a lot of time with it, but I at least want to try it because it's Capcom and Capcom has such a good track record lately.
And even when they try new things, when they try it exo primal.
At the very least I thought Exo Primal was neat.
I love how different it is
Yeah, it's different
It looks cool
I think the gameplay idea is very unique
I don't know if it's gonna work
As far as being a breakout success
But I'm down for a company like Capcom
Like a AAA publisher to like
Try to lean into like a different type of game
Especially for a new IP and so
It's interesting to me that they're not pitching this
At least outwardly as like
Oh this is a tower defense game
Like to me like I know that kind of has like
Some negative connotations or whatever
But like that's the thing
For me like that's a positive
I don't know the balloon tower defense games like do extraordinarily well on Steam I know that that has a lot of nostalgia and like kids like that but like tower defense games are sick like I love tower defense games so I think if you came out and say that we are a tower defense game that would feel like you are minimizing the product I get that because I just like I just don't understand what it is you know until he said that I I I yeah no totally and I think that was our biggest issue throughout SGF was what the fuck it we don't know what this game is um it looks like the perfect steam deck game I hope it runs the one on Steam deck because I there's something about
a strategy puzzle thinker to have on your portable thing to like I love having those
steam deck games where your day my day's over I uploaded my YouTube bot it's like all right
time to power down let's take a shower but I got an hour and a half yeah and let me just lay in bed
bust out that steam deck play something kind of cool for a couple of rounds like this seems like
one of those sort of vibes which like the way you're talking about it is as a positive thing right but
to Roder's question of yeah why didn't they just market it that way I think part of
Part of it is that, right?
When you hear Tower Defense, you start to think of,
oh yeah, I can play this handheld,
or I can play this on my phone or whatever.
Whereas you think back to the marketing
we've seen for the Path of the Goddess.
And it is, they're showing like the,
like, the hack and slash characters running around
and like, they're showing the more involved aspects of it.
But when you play the game, it's like,
oh, I'm assigning this person here
and like trying to lead the enemy troops
through this path and like...
Let me bottleneck him here.
Let me bottleneck him here.
Let me choose the right troops
to support the team in the right,
right way. But I think my main thing is just like,
I don't know how that trailer, because it didn't do anything for us, right? Because we're
just like, what, what is this? Okay, it looks like a generic action game, but at least pushing
it being like, hey, this is something very specific for a specific niche of people.
It's probably not the audience that they want, but they would get an audience, right?
So I don't know. I'm interested in this. Yeah, I don't want to take here. I'll give it a shot,
but I will give it a shot. Are we skipping straight to I'll give it a shot?
Oh, I was going to, I was, I was thinking of calling out while he's listening things.
Why? Yeah, so he's award them in whatever order you want to get out.
And I know I can put that award on the same thing, but, you know.
Yeah, I won't stop you if you also want to do it.
Yeah, that's fine.
There's probably be someone else.
But I mean, also to your point of, yeah, the marketing, I think I agree with you that
the marketing so far hasn't worked as much, but I do think that there could be a powerful
word of mouth aspect to this game, which is already out.
Like, this is just one of those ones where I don't know how you market it as strongly.
Like, I think you could come out and say Tower Defense, but then are you going to scare people
off?
Are you going to be happy people?
Because I would have, honestly, for me, if they were like, oh, it's a tower defense
game, I would have been like, oh, I don't play those games.
Yeah.
But then having gotten my hands on it on Summer Game Fest, I was like, oh, no, I can see myself
being into this.
So I think it will be a lot of word and mouth that, like, gets people into it.
Hopefully, I think if, if this thing works the way it's intended to do.
And it's also going to be on Game Pass, so that's going to be big.
Yeah, that's going to be big.
Next up.
A Ranger, a role puzzling adventure.
Yeah, this game looks kind of cool.
I don't think it's necessarily something I'm going to be trying out, but I have puzzle
poppy over here.
Yeah.
I mean, I played this also at Summer Game Fest.
Oh.
It had a really good time with it.
It is a...
I knew it was the artist of Braide.
It does have...
Dude, I freaking knew it.
I just thought it was like heavily influenced,
but that's so damn cool.
I loved the concept of this game.
Seeing it being played at Summer Game Fest,
looked so damn interesting.
So it's a tile puzzle game, right?
It's like top down where you're going through like this...
Exploring like this tile base.
But every time you move,
you move the entire like row of tiles with you.
And so you're basically trying to move
certain things into place to solve puzzles.
Like kind of Rubik's cube-ish?
Yeah, yeah, like very rubik's-cubish.
And it just said, yeah, you kind of
have to break the way you think a little bit in terms of how
you move. And when I played it, I had a really
good time, right? I played maybe about 20 minutes
or so, and those puzzle got really stuck on, and it's one of those ones where
once you figure it out, you're like, oh, I'm an idiot.
I should have seen this thing. Like, it's, it is a
thinker, right? Yeah. This goes
back to when me, Kevin, and Mike
streamed. Make that a category. Steam deck thinker.
I mean
And Steam Deck Stinker
Actually I do like adding Steam Deck as a badge
To give out
And I'm gonna give that out to this one right
Steam Deck
I don't know Steam Deck hit
Future Steam Deck hit
Yeah yeah
Workshop it whatever it is
I'm giving it to this
Team deck one I love that
Yeah
Next up
Star Wars Bounty Hunter
Dude
It's back everybody
August 1st
It's back everybody
I love this game as a kid
It's it's I've
played it recently on potentially
an emulator allegedly
and it does not hold up as well but
it is a nostalgia play for me
this is like the coolest
like it's like the definition of like oh shit you are
literally just playing as Django Fet you're running
around you're getting bounty
bounties it's a cool little game
I'm excited to act I think it came out on Steam
so switch right so a few years ago
and then I think now it's actually coming out to all these
consoles so that's no it lists
switch for this release as well so
maybe I'm maybe I'm mistaken oh you're thinking
of,
there was that weird
moment in the
PS4
where they had the,
I remember
they had the Star Wars
Battlefront
exclusive like PlayStation 4
like model and when you bought that
it came with a bunch of like
Star Wars classic games.
Yes,
that is exactly what's happening.
Yeah.
And then eventually came to
PS2 to PS4 games or whatever.
Yeah.
How will you feel
once this comes out and it's 70 gigs?
I'm never downloading.
It runs terribly.
Yeah.
Okay.
That's right, actually.
Because I believe this is Aspire.
And this is the same, yeah, they did the Battlefront.
God, I was so fucking mad about that.
I have never been more mad about something in gaming in a while.
Like that- That really threw you off the whole day.
That shit pissed me off in a real way.
The fact, 70 gigabytes for a fucking PS2 game is unbelievable.
We can't be doing that.
If this game is more than 10 gigabytes, no.
You're not wrong.
It's real.
That is the thing that's made you more mad than anything else.
Okay, well, I should say, that was hyperbole.
Yeah, of course, of course, of course.
I just mean like Bobby Cote got paid off of what you mean.
I apologize, yes.
But I mean in terms of just like, what are we doing, guys?
That we can't, that should not be allowed.
That is equal to me of a game running, you know,
it feels like dropping to 20 fbs or whatever.
It's like, no, you didn't put it in the work.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Get them textures compressed, you know what I'm saying?
What are we doing?
Packaged that shit better.
I never played Starry's Bounding Hunter.
I always wanted to.
That was one that Addison had.
And Addison.
Fucking Addison.
Addison, you know, loving to death.
He was one of those kids that would make you watch him play video games.
And so, like, I watched him play quite a bit of Star Wars Bounty Hunter, but I never got to play.
Part of me wants to play with this, but then I'm also like, I look, I look towards the rest of the month, and it is going to be a big month.
Because after that, you got Steam World Heist 2 on August 8th.
I've heard good things about Steam World Heist.
And Steam World Heist in general.
They just added the Steamworld Heist one and Dig 1 and 2, I believe, on Game Bass.
So I was looking at it last night, and I was like, you know, I'm going to download Ace Attorney instead.
did that and stuff.
Did you play?
Yeah, it's really good.
I'm a good time.
I'm an ace attorney.
It's a very rodent thing to do.
Oh man,
should I play SteamWorld or Ace Attorney?
I'll give it a shot.
I'll give it a shot.
But yeah, no, you've been looking into these games, right?
Or thinking about just, oh, you, you drafted it.
I drafted it on my thing.
Just because I know Steam World Dig 2 had like really stellar reviews.
Steam World Heist 1 was a handheld game, I believe, for the 3DS.
And so, like, them making the jump to like, they're putting this out on PS5.
Xbox. This is going to be a cross-platform thing, like a modern platform thing, too.
I just have high hopes for it on the critical side. We'll see if I give it a shot.
I don't know if I'm all the way there yet, just because I don't know if it's my kind of game.
But I've been wanting to find my avenue to get into the Steam World stuff because people love it.
There's a lot of quality there. Yeah. Next up, August 9th, we got the Crush House.
This one, let me see what badge I can give to this one, because this one I am looking forward to.
Yeah. This is the Devolver game where it takes place in like a reality show, like a date
reality show and you're playing the cameraman
and they describe it as a
thirst person shooter.
Dude, everybody who played the demo
loved this shit, yeah.
I'm gonna put my don't sleep on this.
Badge on it. I like that.
To the Crush House.
This is this one that interests either of you?
I've been watching all the trailers
and I think there's a demo out or maybe there was
there was a Steam Nexus. Yeah, I didn't play.
I'm usually not a demo person. I like to just kind of like
go into the full game usually. But
watching the channels, I'm like, this looks really cool.
It's like, I feel like it's a 50-50 situation for me, right?
Where this might just be a cool idea and then it doesn't work for me.
So I'm like, juries out, but I love the concept.
I love the art style.
Did you play the demo at all?
No, I didn't play the demo.
This seems like something that we might stream and have some fun with, but there's going to be other stuff I'd rather play probably around this time.
So this is a skip for me.
This one is also just a funny one for me too, because, like, I learned about this game.
I learned about this game, but I didn't realize.
learned about this game. It was GDC and I'm just hanging out at like a bar party and I start
chatting. I start talking to somebody and they're like I'm like oh yeah I'm making a game
you know I'm like oh cool and they're like oh yeah it's a devolver thing. I'm like oh I love
devolver games they're like yeah but it's not your typical devolver game and I'm like all right
cool and they're like we're going to announce soon I'm like at an event and they're like no
just put it up and then a week later the crush house with the house and I was like oh sick
oh that's the game I heard about out of bar super randomly that's awesome um
But yeah, looking forward to this one.
Next up, we got a Borderlands movie.
If this is bad, I'll quit my job.
Are anybody else going to watch this movie?
Oh, yeah.
I'm watching the fuck out of this movie.
I think it's kind of required for all of us to watch it.
And I know some people will be like, Andy, you didn't even watch
freaking twisted metal or whatever.
But like, that's a much larger commitment in terms of watching a full season of TV show.
I think it's like it should be a little field trip we take to the
movie theater. I like that. Like in the middle of a day or whatever. I like that. Dude, my ass will be in the
movie theater seat for sure. I will be seated. I am not waiting for this to come to, to,
streaming. She's asking me to leave. Yeah. No, I will be in the theater for this one.
And I'm excited for it. Not in the way that I think is going to be a great movie. Yeah.
But I do like the cast a lot. Like Kevin Hart in a borderlands thing, yeah, I'm watching that.
Yeah. I just think I'm not a borderlands guy. I've tried so hard. And I also edited the
borderland show. So like that. And inherently it's like too much more lands. Oh my God, you did. Yeah. And I did
that for a long time while also working, doing seven classes and FIT. Like, I was doing a lot.
So, like, to me, I think maybe I have trauma around the borderline's way. I'm like, I don't want to
see any of this stuff. But, yeah, no, I think I'm very scared for this movie, especially since
it wasn't, didn't I hear that story? Correct my Moran chat, where, uh, Craig Mazen, right?
The writer for, uh, Lasso's. He took his name off the movie. He did the thing where, like,
uh, some, some people can, like, I feel like, there's like a specific name that, um, writers that want to,
like remove themselves from from movies used as like a pen name he like changed it to that so like
he's like I don't want to be part of this pretty much wow okay but maybe I'm in well we also
heard about the early previews just saying that oh yeah I was saying I have I have one from a
tweet from small screen um who are verified so they must be real um where they say terrible and
unfunny the upcoming borderlands movie is getting crucified in early reactions yeah um this particular
early reactions the movie comes to us via Daniel
Richmond.
So yeah, great early reviews.
Great. Great. Great early reviews.
If this is bad, I'll quit my job.
I'll never forget sitting next day, Greg,
during the most recent Jurassic World movie.
And we're four minutes in, and it's already
terrible. Like, it took so little,
such little time for that movie to get terrible.
And I looked and I was like, you happy about this?
because he was just singing the praises of Jurassic
he was a worldly
he was driving by me and Barrett's apartment
and leaving the worldly poster
Worldly
Worldly
Worldie
No you know it was worldly
Worldly
Worldly
Like is he's a fan Jurassic World
That's what he was calling him in his fan base
That Jurassic World is better than Jurassic Park
Oh then it would be worldie
Worldies
The Worldies
If he's worldly that means he's like
He's well-traveled or something
Gotcha
We all know
he's not. Gotcha. So he was leaving
posters of the movie being like the Roltees remember
the Woldies will never forgive you and he was leaving them
under and he was getting text messages from anonymous numbers being like
leave this in Andy's bedroom. Yeah. Or like you know maybe I'll hide in your
backyard for the next week like who this is going to be one of those
situations. We're going to be sitting next to each other be like we
we decided to come to this movie. I've never seen Greg so angry
as having to go watch Shazam too.
Sitting next to him just see them. That movie fucking sucks.
I hate it being there.
But, like, Leanza was next to him, and then she looked at me, she was like, I've never,
I've been so, I was so scared.
He was so angry the entire time.
Because, yeah, because you're just like, I'd rather be doing anything else right now.
Yeah.
Modernity.
Modernity.
Next up, I Am Your Beast.
That's coming August 15th.
That's my Steam Deck one for sure.
That's the Steam Deck one.
Oh, yeah.
I didn't play the demo on purpose again because I don't, I want to just jump into the game.
But I've been watching so many of those speed runs.
Like, holy fuck.
That's my, don't sleep on this.
It looks good.
I Am Your Beast is my
Don't Sleep on this.
I played that demo on PC.
I don't know if it's just,
I think you should give this a mouse,
well,
do you usually be on
play mouse and keyboard with shooters?
I do.
I just don't like going to my office,
right?
That's a big thing.
Oh, okay,
gotcha.
If I'm going to play this game,
I would play it on controller,
but yeah.
Because there is,
I mean,
think about the possibilities
of us doing like a three camera race
with it.
I would love that.
Because like,
this game feels fantastic
on keyboard mouse.
I am your beast.
If you've never heard of it,
is made by,
uh,
Strange Skaffold, which is Zalavir and Nelson.
And I Am Your Beast is basically Neon White meets John Wick.
It's all about the speed run.
It's all about trying to get to the level quickest.
And as soon as I run in there, I look at a dude.
I throw a fucking knife at him.
He falls.
His gun flies in the air.
I catch his gun.
Shoot his friend next to him.
It is a speed run.
It's basically all of the enjoyment and fun we had with Neon White.
It's so fucking slick and stylish.
and it's just awesome as hell to kind of see that score go up.
And what'll give me the S rank?
Oh, I have to be below this time getting the S rank.
I was like, fuck yeah, dude.
It feels so good to get those high scores.
Jenny in our super chat says,
how high is I Am Your Beast going to be in the contenders?
I think it's going to have that moment kind of funny.
I don't know where it's going to be in like the top 10 or whatever.
I don't think it needs to be.
I don't know if it's going for that.
But I think it is going to be one of those ones that, like,
we have a lot of fun with, like, a stream and like talk about it.
I will say it.
Leon White did make our top 10 the year came out.
Yeah, and I was going to make that comparison as like, I don't think it has the visual flare and sauce and vibe that neon white.
Neon white was just so unique in that like I kept on calling it.
This feels like the dream cast game kind of like came back out of nowhere with the music, with the looks, just like it was adult swim to the core, you know.
And this just doesn't feel.
Literally with the voice of us by Spiegel as the main character as well.
Yeah, this doesn't feel super unique when it comes to music and visuals and all that stuff,
but it's just fun as shit to play.
Next up, we got Madden NFL 25.
That's August 16th.
E.A. Sports.
It's in the game.
What's the temperature check compared to college football?
Like, do you even play Madden year to year?
No, I feel like that doesn't come up in the office.
I used to really, really hard.
Like, I was like, I think I bought every Madden from 99 until, like, you know,
2003 or something like that, then eventually just kind of slowed down on it.
Because I was just super into creating players and I would create all of my friends and
I was in school and I would put all of us on the football team and create like all these
different teams across the district or whatever.
And I just slowly fell off of it.
I think there's a way more excitement with NCAA, the fact that it's coming back after so long.
And I don't really have much excitement for Madden again unless they bring back, it's a long shot.
It's a long shot.
Something that I think a lot of people are excited about, though.
Black Myth Woo Kong, August 20th.
I'll give it a shot.
I'll give it a shot.
I'm not a soul's person.
I'm not into that stuff, as usually.
But this is like, it has some hype behind it.
People are talking about it.
This has like been in gestation for a while.
So long, too long.
I'll turn it on.
Enough with the trailers.
Put out the damn game.
Put out the damn fun.
I mean, apparently about to do it.
Yeah.
And, well, I think one thing with you, Roger, saying, like, I'm not into Souls likes.
Just based on the previews of what we've been here,
and we've seen some grippers on the screen right here,
some hairy grippers.
So good.
The game is not necessarily going for the one-to-one soul's-like experience.
Apparently it's like a lot more action-leaning as well,
but you're still going to have those.
Here's this monster with this very telegraphed attack.
You've got to dodge at the right time.
You've got to try to get around it.
So it's going to have like, in terms of that,
like, am I going to be dying and then losing all my progress?
Or is it like you're just spawning back in?
Most likely.
Like, I don't really know how the,
the progress. I didn't read all of the
previews to know that, but
it isn't like when we played
Phantom Blade Zero
at Summer Game Fest, and the
devs are like, no, you don't lose your stuff.
This isn't a soul's... Or, no,
maybe it wasn't necessarily that, but it was
the enemies don't come back.
That's good. If you die, you're not
going to run back out and have to run through
all the enemies again. The enemies don't come back. I was like,
oh, that's very, very different from what
we know from a lot of games that are inspired by
Souls games and Blacksmith Wuth Kong.
I don't know what it's doing a whole lot different
other than it's sort of
leaning into more of
how Lise of P was
a bit more stylish with a lot
of the moves you could do and then Seller Blade went
even more that way with all of it
super over the top. Devil May Cry
type shit. This game looks like it's kind of
going to be in that vein a bit more.
When this game, when we get close to this game or maybe
even after it comes out, I want to do
the way we just did the open world game, like
building our perfect open world. I want to do building our perfect
action game and figure out what those parameters are.
I'm thinking like best combo, or not best combo, but like, you know, I want the combo system
from this game.
I want the soundtrack from this game.
I want the soundtrack of this game.
Level design maybe.
Level design.
Oh, yeah, I like that.
I feel like there's a good, there's like a nice number of categories or like parameters we
can make to like make an action game conversation.
If you take Dark Souls 1 level design for me, I will, I will haunt you in your sleep.
It's fair.
It's the best level design has ever been done in the fucking.
Take the music.
Universe.
Talk with them.
I want a side quest of Dark Souls.
I will find you.
All my special sauce is me, the dark from Dark Soul.
You immediately cut to me as Melana and blessing as a tarnish.
I want to be like, if you do this, I will hunt you till the end of my days and kill you.
This is my goal.
So, yeah, Roger, you took that as your, I'm going to give this a shot, right?
Yeah, I'll give it a shot.
I'll try it out.
It looks cool.
Next up, Dustborn.
Yeah, what's this?
that's coming August 28th.
That's one that me and Andy saw.
Oh yeah.
We were like,
this is a Greg-ass game.
Where the hell is he at?
Yeah, exactly.
And we couldn't talk about
until games come.
Yeah.
Like, by the time we got to talk about,
I was like,
I forgot everything,
but it's a game that I know you liked Greg.
That really,
really sucks because we were showing this game
and we're like,
wow, this has a lot of cool promise,
and this is a Greg-ass game
in terms of the relationships
you're building with all these different characters.
It's just got kind of a cool thing it's going for.
And then they're like,
oh, by the way,
embargoed until gamescom.
You can't talk about it.
Maybe it was a gamescom,
maybe it was TGS or something.
I think it was gamescom,
but we had to wait so long.
It was like two and a half months
or some shit.
It was not this past Summer Game Fest,
the Summer Game Fest before that.
Yeah, it was a year ago.
Way too long, yeah.
But it seems fascinating.
You're a little like
musical group band, right?
Maybe you're just a crew of people.
I forgot what it would.
It's been so long.
That's why I was about to start
describing it.
I was like, if I try to start
describing this,
I'm going to struggle.
Because I think what?
Each of the characters
do they have like their own kind of power to them?
Like one of the characters has like power of words.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
You, uh...
And there's like a comic book that's being made as you play the game.
Yeah, and every time there'd be a cool cutscene,
it would show you here are these panels of like the comic book style or whatever.
Yeah.
Just had a very, very unique sort of look to it.
But yeah, there was something about the power of words where everybody...
Like one of the characters, like, you could say something and I think make...
Oh, fuck, what was...
You could have a character
use their words
to convince somebody to do something.
Yes.
But the other person would be like,
I'm doing this against my will
and I'm kind of not happy about this.
Yeah, like it'll affect the relationship.
Explain this terribly, I'm so sorry.
Listen, it was a year and a half from there.
We did like a little short preview.
But yeah, no, that's one that I think
Greg might be able to get into.
And one that I think looks interesting.
The next day, though, August 21st.
Inatria.
the last song.
Is that the
Italian Soulslike?
Yes, that's going to be my
I'll give it a shot.
Whoa.
Not show.
And this is one that I had
a decent amount of fun with
with the demo.
It feeling like
not like the most polished
Soulslike that I've ever felt
but having enough of
the magic that makes
Soulslike fun and I think
it's doing some really cool interesting stuff
where it's the
are souls like I've ever played with loadouts where you you're this like mannequin kind of like
marionette looking dude I'm not sure exactly what you are but whenever you kill enemies you then
kind of take their clothes and kind of embody their looks and you can have up to three different
loadouts that you could switch on the fly which is super sick because there's been so many
times where I'm heading into a boss fight in a souls game I'm like I need I need my hammer for this
guy because he's weak to strike damage. But this guy's weak to slash, I should bust out my sword
for this. He's going to take more damage if I have a sword or a dagger or whatever. And this allows
you to have up to three different loadouts with different armor sets with two different weapons
on each of those. And you can level up all those weapons individually. Wow. You can have one loadout
be this is my fast decks build. This is going to be my super tanky strength build or whatever. It was just
super fascinating. I think it's a really cool
kind of twist on what
Souls Likes games have been doing and something
I've been looking for in a lot of these
Souls games is having these different loadouts
and again I was
only the second person to beat the demo at Summer Games Fest.
So shout out to me everybody. Who's the first one?
It was Ellie.
Oh, of course. It's always Ellie. Ellie Joy Panic, yeah.
I mean, but she's like the goat.
She's like the best gamer I know. She does like no-hit
blood-borne runs. God, Jesus.
Blindfolded. Not literally blindfolded, but like vibes.
getting there. Yeah. But she was doing the thing where she was kind of like coming by the
demo section just to like keep an eye and like is Andy gonna do it? I was like don't you
worry I'm the fucking nitro rifle okay. I always been trying to like put me on into like
randomizers and shit and I'm like oh you're a really hardcore yeah. I 12 tried
Eshin sorts in like come on bro. Come on. What are we doing 12? Next up we got the one
and only Concord.
Land it after this. August 23rd. Streaming it after this. Streaming it after this with some pizza.
August 23rd. It's funny because I wish we were doing this episode post stream so
I can know whether or not I should give this my multiplayer time sync because it's between this.
Honestly, I'm probably going to save it for Black Off 6.
Because I'm playing Black Off 6, man.
I'm excited for Black Off 6.
But I also hope that Concord does become a multiplayer time sync for me because I'm looking for more of like this style of competitive.
You know what?
Fuck it.
Put it.
I'm making it Concord.
Do it for you.
Good for you.
Because like I know the conversation around Concord is that like, oh, it's another arena shooter,
or Overwatch style game.
I'll be honest, I'm in the market.
I'm looking for them to top of games.
I like those games.
And this is one that's being published by PlayStation First Party.
I think it looks like it could be interesting.
The gameplay we've seen, like, the people that are working on it, right?
People that have done destiny stuff in the past, and I liked Destiny PvP.
So I am fingers crossed that this game is good enough to where I am like, oh, no, I want to play a lot of this.
I am like champing at the bit to get in that damn lab.
Yeah.
Let's end this game cast as soon as possible.
But before we do that,
let me tell you about a word from our response.
I was going to do it three games from now.

This episode is brought to you by A Better Paradise.
From the writers of the Red Dead Red Dead Redemption and Grand Theft Auto series
comes the new immersive audio fiction podcast, A Better Paradise, Volume 1, and Aftermath.
Set in the near future, a better paradise tells the story of the ill-fated development
of an ambitious but addictive digital game world project led by inventor and psychologist Dr. Mark Tyburn.
As the advanced software they developed began to deliver unexpected and disturbing results,
the team fell apart under strange circumstances and the project was abandoned.
The game world and the superintelligence within were discarded, left dormant and undiscovered.
Until now.
I listened to episode one on my way to work today and the thing that stood out, of course,
the performances, but then as an audio drama fan, it was the use of monologues.
There's a whole bunch of talking here as it sets up the world that is not that far from us
in the timeline and also not that far from us in the technology, which is disturbing,
but I'm quite interested to see where it goes.
A Better Paradise is out now and available everywhere you get your podcasts.
Go listen today, and don't forget to follow a better paradise on your platform of choice
to make sure you never miss an episode.
And we're back.
And again, I was only three games away.
from throwing an ad, you know.
I was going to make it to the end of October.
He felt it.
He felt it.
I was going to make to the end of August.
He felt it, dude.
You got to kind of feel the flow, you know.
From here?
It's jazz.
I want to pick up the pace.
And so what we're going to do going forward,
I'm just going to,
I'm just going to save the game,
and then you can stop me if you have something to say.
Yeah.
All right.
Next up, gory cuddly carnage.
Hold up.
I got something to say.
This is a fucking cool-ass looking game
where he plays a cat.
The cat's on like a hoverboard
and he does a bunch of tricks
and he's doing a bunch of action shit.
Find some footage of gory.
No, this is like the fake game.
No, it's real.
No, I'm looking at it.
It looks fantastic.
I don't like it.
It's coming out August 29th.
I don't like the cat.
I don't like the cat.
What's wrong?
The cat don't look good.
The cat don't look good.
Now,
don't pay attention to the bit, right?
Because I know it probably doesn't look the best.
I don't like that cat.
I don't know.
I don't like a gross little cat.
That's like a fake cat.
That's like an AI generated cat.
You know, now I'm looking at the shot.
I actually don't like the cat either.
This cat looks like he's going to sell me fucking ringtones.
Yeah.
It looks like a crazy frog rip-off.
When he gets into the action, he gets cool.
This cat looks like he was in the running to be the lead for Biomuton,
and they're like, hey, actually, we got to kick you out.
Man, biomuton.
I don't know whose gameplay this is.
You got to find out a better gameplay.
This is a fucking trailer.
This is an official trailer from a commercial fucking trailer.
All right, never mind.
Next up, we got Visions of Mana.
August 29th.
Yeah.
Looks cool.
Yeah, looks really cool.
Is any of you guys going to check this out?
This is my, I'll give it a show.
shot. I know not officially participate.
It was between the game I said in this.
If I didn't already use my, I'll give it a shot. I might use it on this.
Might.
Might.
Next up.
You know what?
I'm going to give Visiting a manna my Steam deck game.
Oh, all right.
Will it run there?
I think so.
We're going to learn.
Wait.
No.
You're thinking of a different.
Are you thinking about Mina the Hollower?
No.
Are you thinking about Dragon Age HD 2D?
Dragon Quest?
That may be it, actually.
Dragon Quest.
Why did I say Dragon Age?
That may be it, yeah.
Vigizuamana is the one that was in the Xbox developer preview, right?
Yes.
Yes.
Yeah, that is not the one I'm thinking of.
I don't think that'll run well on Steam Deck.
Chad, let us know what he was thinking about.
Next up, Star Wars Outlaws.
August 30th.
I want this to be good.
I want this to be good, man.
I'm so burnt from Ubisoft to everything.
So I'm just like, I hope that this is the one that gets me back.
I'm going to eat these words.
Oh, fuck.
If this is bad, I'll quit my job.
Wow.
Everybody, you heard it.
Come on, man.
I don't think it's going to be bad.
I think it will be middling, though.
Listen, and again, when I'm saying bad,
what's bad on the kind of funny scale?
Five, four?
Four.
Well, we know it's not going to be bad.
I'm going to say his game.
I think three is bad and four is meh.
Which I don't love that four is me.
I'm saying, you know?
I mean, we were on that podcast and we didn't do anything about it.
I mean, but I said something last time.
Yeah, that's fair.
Like, me and okay, don't work for me.
But we'll talk about that.
We can talk about that.
If you listen chat, DM, bless only with us.
a few months more.
Yeah, I agree with you.
I don't think this game is going to be bad.
I'm, I'll go as far as to say, I think this game is going to be good, which I don't
know why I'm phrasing that like it's a hot take.
Sure.
But like, come on, it looks good.
It looks like a good time.
Yeah.
I don't think it's going to come out and disappoint a whole lot of people.
I think it's going to be the level of love that we saw for Avatar.
I was going to say Jedi Survivor, Jedi Fallen Order.
Yeah.
Really?
You think it's going to be on that level?
Yeah.
I don't know if I'm going to go that far.
Not amazing.
I'm not saying those games are amazing.
And there were also a lot of issues with those games that launched.
Those are like eight out of tens to me.
And I think it'll be like an eight out of ten.
Okay.
Yeah, I don't know.
I'm a very picky Star Wars person right now.
So like, my Star Wars taste is weird, right?
Where I love Asoka and I'm enjoying acolyte a lot.
I know people hate those things.
So it's like I'm all over the place with Star Wars and specifically
Ubisoft stuff.
So yeah, this is a coin toss for me if I'm from my own time.
I just like I am, I think I'm at the point with Star Wars that I'm more interested in the
Han Solo style, like,
like, you know, I'm a fucking...
You know, his little smuggler.
I just hate this time period.
I just, I need to get out of this time period.
What, the original trilogy?
Yeah, we got...
203, 2020.
Wait, wait, like, Star Wars episodes, like, 4 or 6?
We just, we focus so much in, like,
those, like, 20-year period or whatever
that we always...
Isn't that, like, the thing?
Yeah, I know, and I hate it.
I don't like it. I don't like it.
I would rather have prequel stuff
or I would rather have our public stuff, but that's me.
That's not me. I'm not going to put that on the game.
Maybe a little bit.
Now we're into September.
First up, we got Harry Potter Quiddish Champions.
This is September 3rd.
Listen.
You have that's on your list?
Here's the thing, all right?
I wasn't going to say it.
This is just a release calendar list.
I wasn't, but I do pair down based on the things that I want to pay attention to.
Yeah, it's a super fun.
It's plus his calendar.
But here's the thing, all right?
It's just us and our core audience.
This isn't the kind of episode that's going to get all these fucking plebs over here.
Yeah, yeah.
When this was premiered during summer game fest, not of a set of word,
because we're all cowards.
But since we're here, and it's just us.
I didn't say it were because.
it didn't look good.
Because it's just us
in our core audience.
Let's be real.
Let's be real.
It's exciting.
Isn't it?
We're going to quit his video game.
Let's go.
PS5.
Xbox one?
Xbox one?
No,
we did talk about it
because I remember
someone was like,
yeah, wasn't there a PS2
quit his game?
I was like,
yeah, it didn't.
It wasn't.
There was a PS2.
And then chat,
like, got really
fucking mad at me
about saying that.
Listen,
this game is going to sell
a lot of fucking copies.
It is.
And I'm going to be one of them.
I don't be one.
Sorry.
I don't think it is, man
You don't think so?
No.
I think this is going to be like a big old flop.
Is this free to play?
I don't think so.
It's not going to be like,
I'm sure it's probably the lower,
like lower prices again.
I got to imagine.
You can look it up.
No, all seriousness, no.
All seriousness, though.
God, I can't talk.
All in all seriousness, though.
Worbly.
Warbly.
Bagel.
What was the other thing I said?
Modernity.
Modernity.
If this game, if you showed me this game,
yeah, like when I was way younger
and Super into Harry Potter,
I would be like, fuck yeah, let's go.
Most anticipated type shit.
It is like way too late for me,
but part of me is just interested in it.
Like, I have it here to keep an eye out
for like when it comes out
and people are saying very good things,
you know, I'll just peek over and be like, damn.
I'll be like Squidward looking at SpongeBob
and Patrick playing outside the window.
I don't think I'll play it.
But good for you.
But like, I'm going to be over here like,
damn.
They got another good quidditch game.
and I'm over here.
Another good good footage game.
They had another one.
I'm over here stuck playing Star Wars Outlaws.
All right.
Next up,
we got Stocker 2,
Harvestere Noble.
Man,
I hope this game is good
just for that team,
right?
Like,
I hope that they,
what?
No,
I'm just laughing at saying another.
Yeah.
Y'all is like a PS2 one?
But yeah,
no,
I hope this game is good.
I mean,
it's been,
it's been so long.
It's been development,
they've been gone through so much shit
during development,
having to actually,
you know,
they had a suit up for a war.
Yeah,
suit up for a war,
avoid, you know, all the shit.
So, like, the fact that this game is actually coming out as a fucking miracle.
So I hope it's good.
And I'm always in the mood for a first-person shooter, single-player game.
I feel like we don't really get too much of those.
So anything like that excites me.
I'm definitely going to try.
I haven't played any of the soccer games previously.
But, yeah, I'm going to give this a shot, but it's not my...
How do you feel about Jake Kaminsky in the Super Chess that says,
y'all have seriously been sleeping on soccer too?
The old games are huge overseas, and they've been building the game in an active war zone.
Yeah.
I mean, Roger, doesn't sound like you're hype enough.
I mean, I'm gonna play it.
You're sleeping on it.
Your excitement isn't up there enough, Roger.
I need to become a foreigner.
I kind of want to replace
in Otreu of the last song
because I was going to give that a shot anyway.
Like, I was going to play that anyway.
That wasn't really on the periphery of my interests.
Stocker to you, I would say,
is a type of game that looks like
it's kind of on the periphery of my interest
where I think they're kind of,
super scary or maybe I'm thinking Metro.
Maybe Metro is definitely more scary, right?
I mean?
I know what you're talking about.
Roger. He's doing a WW thing. You see all that?
No. With Cody Rose.
Talk about Metro Boomin?
Yeah. We're not about Metro.
No, I'll talk about Metro.
Roger took a fucking side step.
You mentioned Metro and I got excited.
You mentioned Metro and I get excited.
Rogers over here like, yeah, I'm super excited for Stocker to you.
And 80s talking about Stocker Tew.
All of a sudden, Roger starts talking about Metro booming the rap.
You said Metro and I said Metro's all the thing.
I mentioned Metro, uh, Metro Exodus and Metro.
Last Light.
Yeah.
Yeah, like those are, those games are a bit more.
Gary, I don't think Stalker is like going for that
necessarily like type of a horror
vibe, which are a little too
spooky for me or whatever. But I think the visuals
of this game looks so damn good anyway that it's
something that I need, it'd be
I'd be doing myself a disservice if I didn't try it out
because of how good it looks. Yep.
Next up, Astrobot, September 6th.
If this game is bad, I'll quit my job.
Yep. Well, actually that's actually a really good one
to put that on. Can I change mine? Is it too late
to change one? I'll keep mine to Star Wars.
I do have a super chat here.
from C.J. Splitson who says, can we as a community
make Astro a big seller?
I want another team of Sobi game in 2027.
Astro Kart question mark?
I want them to continue with this lineage of doing 3D
platformers and really kind of building out the Astro
Universe, but man, I'm excited for this one.
I still haven't finished the Astro on
BS5, like the one that's built in
the play. The two hour?
Yeah, I didn't finish it.
Did you start?
Yeah, I do. I do this thing a lot where I love a game so much
that I never want to finish it.
Because I'm like, I want to just always have some content.
That's the reason I haven't been the Eldon Ring DLC.
Oh, really?
I love it so much.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, and you're not bad.
That's the reason.
That's the reason.
I just love that game.
Yeah, you just love it so much.
Yeah, I'm very excited for this game.
Yeah, and I think the game is going to do well.
Yeah.
Next up, NBA 2K-25.
After that, and that's coming out September 6th.
On September 12th, you got Wild Bastards.
Y'all know this one?
This is a void bastards's successor.
Yeah, I played the demo, and I
I wasn't in love with it, but it seems like I may be in the minority on that, because a lot of previews were kind of just really wilding out about wild bastards. And it's sort of a space western type roguelight where do you see like your little board of where you're going from like room to room, not room to room, but location to location. Do I want to go here and maybe recruit this guy? There's word about an enemy here. And similar to when you, when you see the map open up,
in the inscription blessing
where you're like,
how am I going to kind of plot out
or plot out where I'm going to go in this map?
You can do the same thing here.
What's like, well, this,
there's a shop over here,
but should I go for this room first or whatever?
And once you go into those situations,
then it becomes a first person shooter.
There's either a wave of enemies
or I need to take out a certain cowboy-type Western Space Batty or whatever,
and they're known for doing this.
But I could put this modifier,
a roguide style that'll make them see badly or I don't know there's like a lot of little
different modifiers like that I like the possibilities of what it could be I just didn't love
what I played and I'm hoping to kind of get some more hands-on time with it next up September 13th
demon school this is my because you already have don't sleep on this plus yeah this is my don't
sleep on this all right I like that I like that this is like a persona inspired game we had this
here at GDC.
I think 2023, I got to play a little bit of it.
And it has like a really cool art style and really cool.
Just like, I think direction to it where it is more strategy, like grid-based combat as
opposed to like to peer turn base of a persona.
And so they got that going on this unique and then also, yeah, like a cool looking cast
of characters.
This is one that you're going to try out, Barrett?
Yeah, 100%.
Like the old school persona games, I was so happy to go back to for every persona game ranked
video and if they're doing
like a spiritual successor to that with
like modern design
sensibilities like I'm fucking that sounds
awesome. Yeah. Next up
September 19th, Dead Rising
Deluxe Remaster. Oh,
I am so, so,
so excited for this game.
I love... It's like a sensual.
It is a little bit, dude.
Is it your favorite open world game?
It is an open world game everybody. It is very
much an open world game but
when, I think it was Tim.
Tim had the pitch
I think it was two years ago
He just randomly was like
Oh like the get hype moment
Would be if they made a Dead Rising remake
Yeah
And I just like hadn't didn't even consider that
As a possibility
And like ever since he said that
It's been all I can think about
Because Dead Rising was my first Xbox 360 game
It is such a cool concept
It is just so clunky to play that in 2024
You can't walk and shoot
The fact that they're adding that
The fact that they did a whole visual
remake for everything about it
I love it looks great
Smash Bros. Intros intro
Yeah no it's awesome
It's such a good
vibe. It is a weird, campy
video game. Like, the story is insane.
This is my don't sleep on this.
I know that this is not, like,
necessarily like an indie game that people
are not aware of, but it's something that
I think people are kind of like looking over
as like a game that, um,
could potentially be in my top ten, honestly.
I love, I love the original Dead Rising.
September 25th, we're getting Lollipop chainsaw
repop. I never played Lollipop chainsaw. I'm a big,
I'm a, I'm a, I'm a suit of fan specifically for
No More Hero stuff.
Um, I kind of want to give a,
Lottapop chainsaw a chance.
This will be one where if it's
if I have the time.
Yeah.
There's a new badge I'm creating.
If I have the time, I'll check this out.
Oh, okay.
I like that batches.
I like that batch.
September 26th, the legend of Zelda.
Echoes of Wisdom.
Is this the one I get my most anticipated?
I'm going to give my most anticipated to this one.
I like that.
Because I forgot to give it to Astrobot.
I meant to give it to Astrobot,
but we went way past Astrobot
and so I'm giving this to this.
Now we're in October.
Wow.
October 8th, Diablo 4,
Vessel of Hatred. I put that on there for Greg Miller.
October 8th, also,
Silent Hill 2.
That's following that.
Moving on from that. October 11th.
Oh, actually, maybe this should have been my most anticipated.
Dragon Ball Sparking Zero.
I'm so excited about this game.
I don't know what I did to my algorithm,
but I swear to God,
there is a fourth of the tweets that I see now
that are just about hype for this game.
like so many people I'm seeing
are like super excited for this one. It makes me
happy because like anime
arena fighters get a bad
rap. And like I think the
Ten Kaichi ones are the ones that like
you know people fuck with people like those ones
but I think a lot of that just goes back to nostalgia
and like the feelings we had playing them and now
there have been this overabundance of 3D
anime fighters that makes it almost feel like
a really another one of these like we've gotten
raging blast games. We've gotten
ultimate Tancaichi and other Dragon Ball games.
But this looks like such a return to form and
playing at Summer Game Fest, it feels like such a return to form.
And it's lovely seeing the hype for it.
It's lovely seeing people actually be excited for a new Dragon Ball game.
That is going to be this kind of Dragon Ball game.
So yeah, shout out to that.
But then the same day.
It's a rough day for me.
Oh, baby.
Metaphor Refantazio.
This is my most anticipated.
Let's go.
I think this is going to be one of the best reviewed games this year.
This is the next evolution of the OG persona team doing something new.
that's so sick
and it's gonna be
it's gonna be so fucking cool
I'm trying to think of
worrying for like a new badge
I'm inventing right here
which is a game that on
in any other circumstance
would be like my most anticipated
I'm gonna play this
move everything for this game
but like because I have been playing persona
three for the last
however many months
I am afraid of being all
personaed out
yeah by getting to this
that's why you should have played
persona three when it came out
I did play persona three
when it came out
too slowly
I played four
40 hours. This is a fucking 100 hour game. What do you want from me?
Ah, it's like 75.
I'm 55 hours into this.
It'd be a lot faster if you don't have to sit there and wait and do shit.
Yeah. I'm saying, you know what I mean?
There is a fast forward button that I use it a lot.
Infinite wealth has that a little bit more.
I could, if I don't get to this this fall, which I want to.
I plan to because I know it's going to be a big game, so I probably should.
This is one that I'm for sure going to play at some point because it looks cool.
Play it at summer game fest. It fucking is cool.
Look forward to it.
Yeah, I downloaded persona 3 last night.
and then of course
Ace Attorney
You know what I mean
Like what about Ace Attorney
The trilogy
You know what I mean
30 hours to finish all the
You know what if
October 15th
New World Eternum
That's one that I know
Greg is looking forward to
October 17th
Super Mario Party
Jambery
Shout out to Joey
Definitely her most
anticipated
Damn I already have
My multiplayer time sing
is already taken up
by Concord otherwise
Otherwise
That's super exciting
I'm really excited
To just have
Such a surprise
to see that
I wasn't expecting like a brand new thing.
Maybe a couple added maps to superstars or whatever,
but I'm very excited for just a brand new Mario Party thing.
I saw somebody in chat say,
right game wrong time badge,
which is a good framing for a metaphor for me.
Next up, October 25th, Call of Duty, Blackop Six.
That's got to be the multiplayer time sync.
I say this every year.
I see this every year about every Call of Duty.
Last year, Modern Warfare 3, I was so sure.
I was so sure.
I played maybe Andy, for real.
I probably maybe played three hours.
Yon did a whole like wrestling hype intro,
like talking about modern warfare.
Dude, it's insane because model over three
should have been my perfect game
because it is model for two maps,
but I think I was just like,
oh, I don't want to play this in 2024.
Yeah.
The idea that they're going,
they're doing something big with Black Ops again.
It has the push of Xbox,
zombies round-based again.
We haven't heard anything about what zombies looks like,
but potentially we might see that before launch.
Like, I'm excited about Black Ops
and out of all of the things I'm seeing here,
Concord, it looks interesting.
it's not for me. I'm not necessarily...
The only 5V5 type
team-based shooter that I'm interested in
is Marvel rivals coming up.
So this is definitely going to be that award for me.
Next up, October 25th, same day
is Blackop 6th. We got Sonic Cross Shadow.
Oh, it's a big day for me.
For you, it's a big day for me.
So put Call of Duty in your right game wrong time or whatever.
Oh, I should. I should have done that. And this should be my
multiplayer game of the year. Exactly. Exactly.
Plus, you're going to play next to each other.
I'm down.
We don't want to do a sleepover?
Oh, I'd love that.
Yeah, I love that.
Play Shadow and College.
Yeah, have kind of funny orders pizza.
I, I am so excited for this.
Because I had the moment last.
This is how nerdy liens and I.
It's midnight.
We're in bed, we're just talking.
Just in bed, just hanging out.
Oh, what are you excited for?
Oh, I'm talking about.
And then we're just talking about Shadow X generation
for the entire night until 1 a.m.
I'm just thinking about it.
I'm like, man, I used to play that game.
I used to play Shadow, the Hedgehog all the time at PS2.
And we're finally getting a new Shadow game pretty much.
Like, how exciting is that?
What is the secret character going to look like?
Did you see this?
That potentially they have a little question mark
as like another shadow character.
No way.
So are they going to do like a retro shadow?
Are they going to do like a Sonic Adventures 2 Shadow?
What are they going to do there?
It'll definitely not be disappointing for sure.
Yeah, exactly.
There's no way they get disappointed you.
I am not going to like this game.
I'm not going to like playing this game,
but I'm going to love the idea of playing this game.
I feel like that's where I'm at, right?
Where it's like I'm not necessarily a Sonic person
in terms of playing the games.
I just love shadow as a human, as like a human being, but like as an entity.
Listening to somebody else nerd out over Sonic shit has made me realize a lot.
Yuck.
Gross.
You are looking in the mirror right now.
Is that what it's like?
You do not like what you see staring back into it.
Disgusting.
I want any more of that.
Jesus.
So you're not excited anymore?
You're going to play the fuck out of this.
I'm going to play a lot of this game.
I cannot wait.
Next up, October 29.
ninth, Life is Strange double exposure.
This is my most anticipated game in this.
Really? Really? I'm not usually, man.
I did not love the first Life of Strange.
And then True Colors really was probably my game of the year.
If I really look at that year, True Colors is special.
That's a special video game. And like that team coming together and making a sequel to Life
is Strange is so exciting to me.
And especially the things that they have been showing of like going between the
multiple timelines. And like the thing that got me was like,
oh, in each of these timelines,
you have to, like, kind of figure,
you have to kind of keep track of every single thing
that each different person is saying.
So in one timeline, you could be like,
oh, Jay, I remember yesterday, you did X, Y, and Z,
but like, no, I didn't.
And, like, that fucks with that other timeline.
It's like, oh, that is interesting to me.
And, like, and it seems like they're really, like,
pushing forward of, like, oh, when you switch over
to the different timelines,
like, it might be a different season.
Like, it really is going to be drastically different.
And what they potentially are leading up to,
I think, in the ending of this game,
which is going to kind of merge.
the two endings of the last game, of the first game,
I think it's going to piss off a lot of fans,
but for me, I'm very excited about this game.
I think this is going to, this is going to really hit for me.
Yeah, it's up there for me for my most anticipated too.
Like, I have a little bit of trepidation just for it being deck nine, right?
That is making this sequel to, like, a Max Caulfield story
as opposed to the original developers.
But they do have history with, before the storm.
Yeah, they made before the storm.
Yeah.
And they killed it with True Colors.
True Colors is incredible.
Yeah.
So yeah.
We're in November.
November 7th.
Mario and Luigi
Brotherhip
November 8th
I'll give that one a shot
I'm interested in that one
I don't like the art style man
The art style is like
Is different
Yeah
I can't tell how I feel about it yet
It feels
I gotta get my hands on the game
And I know this is derogatory
But I apologize
It feels like kind of like mobile game-esque
Right like I mean if you look at
I don't do that to Mario
It just does not feel like up to snuff
Comparatively to the other Mario games
that we have
I don't know
You sound like a Sonic fan right now right
Calm down.
I become one.
I think it's fun and unique
and I think it's like the Switch version
iteration of what the Mario and Luigi
games were on the DS.
Sure. So that's why I'm into it.
November 8th, slitterhead.
This game does not look good.
You're not, you're not a slitterhead?
I'm not a slitterhead? I'm not a slitterhead?
No, I'm not a slitterhead.
November 12th, Anton Blast.
This game looks cool. This game looks awesome.
Did I play? Yeah, no, did I watch Tim play? No, I played.
It's cool. It's fun game.
Yeah, it looks cool.
A lot of hype.
So much hype that when we did the
Mix, the showcase over here.
Dude, that was the biggest pop.
Like, that community is fucking in on Anton Blass.
Like, I'm interested to see what that game is.
Some Mario Sickers.
Sickers. Sickos.
Sick them.
Dragon Quest 3, HD 2D remake coming November 14.
That's sick.
Did I give that my Steam Deck one?
I think I'm gonna, that's gonna be by Steam Deck one.
Okay.
I think I gave that as somebody else,
something else already, but.
Like, I'm so bad about not playing these games that need to be tried and need to be played and deserve time.
Like, that's one that I'm like, it just looks so good.
And I know I need to go back and play fucking triangle Odyssey or whatever.
Triangle Strategy.
Yeah, sure.
Play Live Live instead.
It'll change your life.
Oh, man.
I wish that was on any other thing other than the Switch.
It is.
It is.
Oh, really?
Okay, I think it came to all other platforms.
Oh, shit.
It's not on Game Pass.
Well, chat, correct me from wrong.
Assassin's Creed Shadows, that's out November 15th.
I want to like this one.
I'm going to put that a little wild card for you.
A little curveball for you.
I'm put that as my most anticipated.
Wow.
Because it's too easy for me to say Hyperlight Breaker.
I've been talking about Hyperlight Breaker for goddamn ages now.
Of course, Hyperlight Breaker really is my number one.
But this is like when we did our Game of the Year,
we're like, what's our Game of the Year that's not Tears of the Kingdom?
That's like, I'm really, really looking forward to this video game.
I just love everything that I've seen of it so far.
I love the two protagonists and the different fighting styles,
and I'm just super into it.
And this could be the one.
I think it's the one.
I think it's the one.
I think me and you are going to get into Assassin's Creed now.
I'm still predicting that y'all are going to play another three hours of an Assassin's Creed game
and be like, oh, yeah, this is an Assassin Street game.
I very much think that's what's going to happen.
I need it to be better than Rise of the Ronan.
I needed to have a special sauce with storytelling that's going to make me go,
I love this setting, I love games in this setting.
I want to stick around because I'm intrigued by what the characters are doing, what their interconnected play is.
I want to be there for story and for cool different scenarios with the big brawler and with the super slick, stealthy lady.
I think that's what you need, but I think in the back of your head you're going to want the quality of Goses Shushima,
and I don't think you're going to quite get there.
See, I don't expect something as good as Goses Shishima.
Neither do I.
Yeah.
I just want, like, story stuff that'll shock me and kind of go, whoa.
What's I expecting that?
Oh, my God.
Desmond from the animus, he's here.
Oh, my God.
No, I do.
The main thing that could hold me back for Science Street Shadows is coming off of Star Wars
and being like, oh, man, I played a very similar playing game not that long ago.
But Star Wars outlaws, I mean, mechanically is different enough, you know, third-person shooter,
Star Wars space, all that shit, right?
But, like, the U.E softness of it.
It's like when you order, like, you go to the same restaurant, but you order a different menu
item, but it still kind of tastes similar enough to the other thing.
Yeah.
at that restaurant.
So you get tired of the restaurant.
It's not even just that food item.
That's the concern I have with Assassin's Creed Shadows in regards to, like,
it and Star Wars being in the same, like, year.
November 19th, Microsoft Flight Simulator, 2024.
Cool.
Nobody?
Nobody.
No.
This one where, like, in a different timeline, I'd like to try it up.
Did she draft it?
Wrong game, right time?
I did draft it.
Or right game wrong time?
Um.
Not even that?
would be a fully different human being.
The right time would be literally zero games are coming out in a two-month span.
And also I have no money and no access to any game pass or anything.
I just have one, I just have Microsoft flights.
If you put me on a kind of funny stream, access thing, put me on a kind of funny stream.
Make Mike make me play this game for a lot and I'll play it.
December, there's just one thing I have written down here.
It's the most important thing of the year.
Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie.
December 20th, less freaking.
Let's fucking go.
Do you think we see Amy?
Stop it.
All right.
I'm tired of you.
Stop being a fucking fan.
It's freaking me out.
Do you think we see Amy?
Do you think we see Amy?
Get the fuck out of here.
They can't do a postcard scene for Amy.
You know what I mean?
Do you think they see Amy?
You can't give you a wedgee right now.
I'm tired of these fucking sonic fans.
Now you see your future.
Your presence and your past, your future.
You think we see Amy Rose.
All right.
Before we get out of here, let's do some TVA games.
Games that don't have concrete dates to them.
This is where most of them.
mine are going to be. Yeah, they are slated for 2024.
Because my,
if this is bad, I'll quit my job,
is Dragon Age Vale Guard.
Whoa. I will be so sad if that game is not good.
Yeah. And I'm just hoping the best for it.
It was so promising what we saw.
I'm so freaking jazz. I'm about
to have like that experience
in 2024. I'm super
stoked about that.
And,
well, I guess that was it for my categories.
I thought I had more blank categories.
You have multiplayer, right? Oh, multiplayer time sync.
Unless you can already pick Concord, I kind of want to go with Concord.
I mean, you can pick Concord.
But here's what I'm going to do.
You know what's coming in early access is 33 Immortals?
I'm going to throw another kind of similar curveball.
Here's a little similar curveball for you.
And one that I'm hoping to kind of play with friends and stuff,
because it seems like that's what they're going for.
Windblown.
Windblown.
Windblown is from the developer and creator of Deadcells.
And it's that top-down, rogue-light, multiplayer game.
And it looked really, really damn cool.
That's not this year, is it?
It's, I mean, it's going to be like a similar to Hyplight Breaker.
It's going to be like an early access thing this year.
That's what they're kind of targeting.
While they're also doing the Prince of Persia?
No, that's a separate team.
Yeah.
They kind of like split off.
They went to do their own things.
Okay.
But this game just seems like super freaking fun and cool and flashy.
And it's, I want this experience.
I want me and my friends to be, you know, trying to take
on a big boss and grouping our powers together.
It just looks like...
I want to play this game really bad.
Also put this on my Steam deck list, you know.
The rest I'm going to list off pretty quickly.
We're running really late in this podcast.
But for the TBA games, like I said,
33 Immortals for Early Access.
Avowed.
If this is bad, I will quit my job.
For which one?
Avowed.
Avowed.
I'm going to miss you, bro.
Avowed was almost my most anticipated game,
but I wanted to give it to Life to Strange.
But, like, I love outer world so much.
I'll say this every podcast I could possibly have.
I am so.
excited for this game and I don't think it's gonna be bad.
I think it's gonna be good. I think it's gonna be good. Yeah. I'm really excited.
I think it's gonna it might surprise you because I think people are very down on it.
But once you play the game, it's like, oh, this is exactly what I wanted right now.
I mean, it's what's gonna do you know what most anticipated if I can put plucky squire on there?
What are we doing?
What are we doing? Will that even hit this year though?
You're really pissing me off today, bear? I'm just saying if it was coming this year, why would they talk about it at the
the Delver digital showcase? It's the biggest fucking tight, like coolest thing that they've got under their belt.
He's still going, bro.
Oh, my God.
Sorry, I had to open up Wikipedia.
Somebody in chat was like,
blessing, name one bad obsidian game.
At 2010, they released this game called Alpha Protocol.
Fuck you.
I thought everybody loved Alpha Protocol.
I don't know.
I think everybody loved Alvin Protocol.
Listen, I realized I was wrong,
so I had to make shit up, all right?
Don't acknowledge it.
Just roll with it, all right?
Everybody, hey, Alpha Protocol is bad now.
We're rolling with it.
All right, reading through the rest of the games,
after avowed, Dragon Age, the Veil Guard,
and this is just alphabetical order.
Go Spike.
Hyperlight breaker and early access.
Indiana Jones in the Great Circle.
Lego Horizon Adventures.
Marvel versus Capcom fighting game collection.
Arcade Classics.
Let's go.
Metal Gersoll, Delta, Snake Eater.
That ain't coming out this year.
But it's still slated.
If you go to any of the pages, it says 2024.
Rugrats, Adventures in Game Land.
Nobody?
Sign me up.
Skate Story, which looks incredible.
The Plucky Squire, the Until Dawn remake, and Windblown.
I forgot about that.
Until Dawn remake.
And that's it.
That's 24 for you.
Arkham Shadow.
Home put out.
I left that off.
Okay.
I did it for Barrett.
Barrett wouldn't have wanted me
to include that one
on the game's calendar.
I appreciate you.
Ladies gentlemen,
let us know in the comments below.
What games are you most anticipated for?
For 2024?
We've got to fuck up some pizza, everybody.
I'm so hungry,
man.
What are you going to be your other badges?
What's your multiplayer time?
We're working so hard.
What game do you should people not sleep on?
God, I'm dying.
Let us know in the comments below.
Stick around for Concord.
We're about to play some Concord before that.
getting some pizza in me.
I've been blessing.
That's been Roger.
That's been Andy.
Until next time,
it's been our pleasure to serve you.
Andy.
