There's no reason to slow it down.
Let's get right into topic of the show.
This is your PlayStation State of Play for February 12, 2006.
Look back.
let's go through the run of show.
But before we do that,
let's just have a quick overall top-down thoughts,
review scores on this one.
Andy, I'm going to kick it to you because it's almost your birthday.
Do you want to score it and tell me what you loved?
I'd give it as close to a tennis spot.
I'll give it a 9.5.
This is just so hype.
This was kind of like everything you want,
even for, like, to have surprises that you weren't expecting to pop up
and kind of like, holy shit, blindside you like that,
to see even cooler stuff from the things that we already knew about.
Like, I wasn't sure if you could show off control resident
and have me even more hype than I already was
from the past couple times we'd seen it,
but they somehow delivered on that,
showing off even cooler gameplay and more wow moments from there.
Man, Kana was at the start of the show,
and Blessing made a great point,
being like, I forgot we saw Kana earlier
because that game looked amazing, the first Kana,
we all really, really love here kind of funny,
and yeah, I'm super stoked for a sequel.
I think the thing that I was probably into the least was maybe the god of war game okay but like
you know I'm still into it I just it didn't like blow me away or wow me in the way that
side scrolling Metroidvania would you know when we talk about game kitchen who makes
blasphemous and how I love their pixel art um that was probably the one that wowed me the least
but you end with that available now and it's like oh shit yeah if I think the formula is if you have a game
that maybe isn't the coolest looking game ever.
If you do available now,
and it's got that sort of like,
it has the name behind it.
God of war, it's like, holy shit,
that's really cool
and an awesome thing to sort of cap off the show with.
Well, I can't wait to run it down with you.
And I'm going to go over to Bless now.
Bless, I love your new technique.
You're not giving scores right now,
but if you want to score,
you can score, give me the top down.
It's funny.
Sometimes I hate on scores for showcases
because I feel like they don't make sense,
but then other times they had caught up in the hype
or I get caught up in the anger.
What's the case last time?
Where we at today?
I'll just, echo Andy.
I'm going to steal Andy score,
even a 9.5.
Yeah.
All right, give me some top-downs.
What did you like?
What did you not like if there's anything at all?
I don't think there was anything I specifically didn't like.
I think it was more so like,
I think this showcase was a master class in pacing
and how pacing can uplift everything.
Hey, every single game here might not necessarily be the greatest thing ever.
Might not necessarily be a banger.
But we're going to keep throwing them at you at such a rapid pace
that like you're not going to get bored or something that might not be for you.
because the next thing might be for you, right?
And I think that's the way showcases should be dialed in.
I think that's a good display of like, hey, like, you know,
we know what we got here.
We have a jam-packed hour-long show.
That didn't feel like an hour.
I think that's a big compliment I can get to this thing.
You know, this is the longest PlayStation's day to play in a very long time.
It didn't feel like the longest thing because every moment kept us excited and kept us on our toes.
And so I just thought this overall thing was very, very well edited, very well put together.
And the games were exciting.
You know, I think I echo Andy as far as the excitement of the God of War game.
But I also think for me personally, that's a thing of that gestating for so long,
us hearing the rumors about it.
And I think kind of being able to kind of form our own versions of it in our heads.
So when I see the final product, I'm like, oh, okay, I guess that's not what I expected,
which is not their fault, right?
They didn't want it to leak and get reported on and all that stuff.
And so I don't hold that against it.
But yeah, even still, I'm kind of like, all right, cool.
Yeah, maybe I'll check that out.
I might play maybe an hour or so of that on stream and see what it's about.
But the out today for sure hits for that one.
And then we got so many games to talk about.
We're going to talk all about it.
Roger, you're my main man by 1.1.
Let's survive today here on PlayStation.
Yeah, I love this presentation.
This is a 9 out of 10 on the scoreboard right there for me.
I loved the pacing of this all, especially like I think the master class here was like the Konami section,
which I think could have dragged, could have had the moment of like, okay, we do the octopus thing a little bit too early.
That fake out fucks us up.
But no, they had a great way of bringing us back, continuously,
continuously reinventing our expectations there
and then also having the Castlevania stuff
and even showing off a new IP on top of that
and it's like oh fuck we're interested because we're locked into what they're showing here
again it's a good mix of every single
all these surprises all of these new games that we already know about
seeing control resonant did not expect that I really did not expect
being able to see that game so early in the year I thought that was going to be a summer
showcase that games coming out later in the year but seeing gameplay showing
and digging our feet into like, hey, this is what this next year
at PlayStation looks like from not only first party,
but third party was really great.
And also, did not expect those God of War remakes.
Yeah, that's exciting.
That shit.
Honestly, we're not getting that for a long time, but like,
that's more exciting to me than even the 2D game.
Oh, for sure.
Maybe for all of us, right?
Because, like, not that those games need remixed necessarily,
but also those are PS2 games.
Like, I think modernized versions of old God of War can really hit.
Do they keep the banging?
See, I was wondering the same thing.
How do you do you just let it be what it is?
Because that is what the art was at the time.
Seems like a gamescast episode.
Do they keep the banging?
We just do that.
That dash kind of funny games cast.
Mike, what did you think of it?
I echo everything you guys say.
I really, really enjoyed this.
Of course, I'm going to encourage you the audience out there watching live and on Twitch,
YouTube and Twitch to get involved.
I have, yo, call me. Rob gave it an easy 10 out of 10 for me.
I have Matt Buckley, or Matt Buckley with the easy 9.5.
five out of ten. Great stuff, but don't sleep
on the smaller announcements too. Motion
Twin plus Evil Empire, Castlevania
is wild right there.
Bringing in the BIS. Never
Prolog and Big Walk.
Great callouts there, Matt.
I'm going to echo what you guys have said, what the
audience is saying. I'm actually going to raise it up.
Oh. I'm going to go 10 out of 10.
Wow.
This was the best PlayStation State of Play
in a long, long time. This is one of the
best presentations in the
video game industry that we've seen
in quite some time.
This is one of the few where I leave here going,
I'm excited to tell my friends.
I want to tell everyone I know,
you got to watch this because as Blessing said,
they nailed the pacing.
The game announcements were killer.
Having the Konami block,
that was awesome, Roger.
Having your own mini Xbox underscore developer direct
in with Konami and them showcasing games
and a brand new IP.
We are nailing it.
And this team right here absolutely nailed the presentation.
I'm so happy that we spent the time to watch this together
to see the announcements coming out of it.
Of course, it's always subjective, right?
Of like, hey, these games are for me or they're not?
This is one of the few that I've ever watched where I go,
almost every single one of these games.
It might be one out of this list that I am not into.
I'm into everything here, and I can't wait to get my hands on it.
We had Rayman being celebrated right there, 30 years of Rayman.
Are you kidding me?
Tomorrow that's dropping, God of War dropping today.
We had stealth announcements.
had dates that we needed like Ghost of Yote Legends.
Not to get ahead of it, but I really like what they're doing with the remasters as well.
You know, I know it's a tug of war of people not really caring about old games versus, you know,
how do you talk about that stuff in a showcase like this?
But I get excited when I see Rayman Ann Anniversary Edition, right?
When I see them porting Tekken Dark Resurrection from the PSP being playable on modern consoles,
that shit is important.
And I love that that is something that they're able to display.
And again, pace it out so that people don't get bored with it.
And finally, the Metal Gear Solid Collection, number two.
Metal Gear Solid 4 coming at you and Peace Walker.
That is so exciting, especially for me who shared that moment with kind of funny with all of you watching
and with Barrett, right, where Barrett was on the sticks.
And now it's my turn.
And now I finally have these collections where I'm not going through the attic to find a PlayStation 3.
I'm not looking around at different storefronts going, how do I get this game, right?
No, they're all finally here.
And it's my time to play.
I'm so excited for this.
And so, yeah, I give this a 10 out of 10.
I'm excited to break it down with all of you.
One last time, if you're watching live, don't forget, get involved in the show.
I'll be reading all of your super chats.
But bless Andy, Roger.
Let's jump in and let's go through the run of the show game by game.
It kicks off with Kana, Scars of the Cosmora.
Come on.
We're back.
We're still back.
Tim, I think, is the one who's been, you know, wondering at every big PlayStation
showcase.
year. What's up with Ember Labs? Where are they working on? Where are they doing? Love to see that they're,
they've been working on a sequel to Cana Bridges Fears because that's one that I mentioned it
during the live reaction, but I could have seen not getting a sequel just for the fact that it was
this new IP, you know, game that might not have necessarily taken over the world as far as
sales or whatever, right? And like a game that I could see the ideas evolving in interesting
ways, but games oftentimes don't get that second chance to like really develop on
things that were introduced in the first one.
Love that we hear.
Love to see that they're still presenting with such an excellent art style.
That's one of the big, if not the big compliment you can give to the first game as far as how good that game looks and how just how pretty it is and how beautiful this world is.
So love to see it back in that way.
Love to see that they're messing around with like these bigger environments.
You know, I don't think they said the words open world, but I get like an open zone, open area kind of vibe.
The design just feels like it's meant to be, hey, we're trying to make this a bit more explorers.
You jump on that horseback, it gets you excited right there.
Something special.
There was a Zelda, Breath of the Wild vibe there for a moment of, like, opening up
this game and saying, hey, here for the sequel, we're going bigger and better.
And I think that goes a long way.
Even gets me excited.
Roger, you're not in your head.
No, I was just going to say, this is the perfect game to open up this presentation with, right?
It's a game that people know the original one.
It was part of the, I believe, the first PlayStation 5, a state of play showcase that they did.
So being able to kind of jump on that show how beautiful this is,
a smaller team and be able to be like,
hey, this is a game that you know, an IP that you know,
but also one that is still fresh and still new and feels new to people
that maybe have never played or have even heard of the first one.
So really cool stuff.
Yeah, it looks amazing.
You could have told me that Ember Lab ended up shutting down three years ago,
and it's like, oh, okay, yeah, I could see that in this landscape.
We just don't know how volatile things can be in the industry,
but I'm so stoked.
Ember Lab, if y'all don't know, did,
they made like a Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask C.G. short many, many years ago on YouTube,
go check it out.
They really love how powerful animation can be.
And you see it all throughout when you're playing Kane and Bridges Spires.
And not only does the game feel amazing to play and it's like really, really fun,
but all the facial expressions Kane is making, like, it's just, it's so brilliantly done.
and I could not be more happy that like, okay, the sequel is here, it's official, it's not going anywhere, hopefully, and we will play it and love it because I'm, yeah, I'm really, really, I was worried for a while, though, that we wouldn't get one ever.
I can't wait to see how the combat feels
I think that's my biggest thing
I liked combat in the first game
The first game
Kind of surprisingly difficult
I remember during certain boss fights
Specifically the last boss fight in the game
Maybe second to last
Being like what are we doing here
Like why is the difficulty curve so steep here
But was one that I was
You know surprised and delighted by
Just as far as oh man
All right we're getting to a game
That does what you want you to lock in
When a world we're getting so many action games
Right and so many difficult action games
We're seeing
I think games won't up each other
in that regard.
So I'm very excited to see what they've been able to do in five years regarding like how
that combat feels to play with.
And this one being able to hit more of the the casual market that maybe don't want the
hardest, you know, gaming experience ever because it is so forefront with its storytelling.
It is so much about cutscenes and characters knowing each other and everything looking
just so appealing.
It looks like a DreamWorks Pixar movie.
And so, yeah, I'm so stoked for like, this is the next step they're taken.
And we always talk about when Assassin's Creed 2 comes out and it's like, oh, that we started to see a bunch of developers take that massive leap when the sequel popped up.
And hopefully we see that here from Ember Lab.
Coming 2026, PlayStation 5 and PC.
Yeah, Volk Dascher in chat says, don't think the first one had PlayStation Studios.
Have Sony bought up Ember Labs?
The PlayStation Studios tag doesn't always get put on games that are owned by PlayStation.
They're put on games that are being published by PlayStation First Party.
So oftentimes you see games being collaborated.
I believe Stellar Blade had the PlayStation Studios tag to it.
Yeah, Kojima as well, death straining.
And so that happens a lot.
And I would imagine that it was the case of the first game,
Canter v. Spirits doing well enough and PlayStation being like,
oh, snap, this is a banger.
Like, we should support this team and publish their game again
because we want to be able to continue to put out something like this on our platform.
Let's be talking about the action.
Let's move to Ghost of Yote Legends,
the online co-op, up to four players, fun.
Four playable classes coming March 10th.
This has been your bright highlighter, ready to go on the calendar.
Here it comes.
I mean, I'm Ghost of Sushima Legends, like, number one fan, right?
That mode turned Ghost of Sushima to the game that I was like, oh, yeah, this is cool
to being like, yo, this is one of my games of the year.
Like, this full package is excellent, and I'm hoping that Ghost of Yote Legends brings
the same to what Ghost of Yote is.
Mike, if you don't mind.
I was just saying, how about I tell you a little bit of what they're bringing to you?
Yeah, tell me more.
Legends will launch with three mission types.
In survival, you can team up with up to three friends to take.
Take down waves of increasingly difficult enemies on one of four maps.
You'll fight to control territory on each map.
While you control a location, you can activate a blessing,
offering you an advantage in battle.
But if you lose control, you'll unleash a curse,
putting your team at a disadvantage.
Each map will have its own unique curses and blessings.
In story, you'll team up with another player to tackle a series of 12 missions.
After completing each set of the three-story missions,
you'll unlock an incursion, which is a large scale four-player assault on a stronghold belonging to a member of the Yote 6.
Each incursion will culminate in a boss fight versus a giant supernatural version of the spider, the only and the Kitsunane.
Thank you.
Or the snake.
As for the other members of the Yotei 6 in April, we'll release a raid putting your team to the ultimate test,
where you can expect to take on the dragon and Lord Saito himself.
In Ghost of Yote Legends, you can play as one of the four classes,
samurai, archer, mercenary, Shinobi.
While any class can use a katana and arranged weapon,
they also can excel in a different one of Ghost of Yote's weapons and combat systems
and can each earn their own unique armor cosmetics as you complete feats through gameplay.
Man, it's saying all the right thing.
They're saying all the things that I want them to say.
Again, like one of the things I loved about the original Ghost of Sishima legends,
was teaming up with a couple other players
and going through these story missions
and seeing the progression.
It is funny enough, it's a gear game.
So you're collecting gear and you're equipping
and I don't think they said anything about that here yet,
but they're talking about the different classes.
I wouldn't be surprised if they kept some of those same systems
because they worked really well.
I loved the way they expanded on a lot of the systems
that you had from single player, Gosa, Tsushima,
you know, things like the different weapons,
how you can upgrade them and the different equipment
and all that stuff and making it so that you can tailor your play style
specifically around certain weapons
or certain types of items or certain whatever.
I thought that stuff was really well designed.
I think this team, I think, is underrated
as far as how good they did
making this fun little multiplayer thing
that I was able to get tens of hours from.
That's special.
Yeah, and so hearing everything you're talking about,
I think it's fun, the idea of doing these smaller missions
with one other player,
but then having these big incursions
where you're going after these bigger camps
that are these fantasized versions
of the Ghost of Yote
proper story, like bosses.
It's the perfect way to package it.
That's so cool.
It's so genius to have.
You have six bosses in the core game, and they're all just humans,
but, like, I can't imagine just how stoked everybody was in the sort of, like,
idea room where they're just like, what have we just made them big monster?
Like, fuck, yeah, of course.
That sounds amazing.
And they are going to be these larger than life boss fights of these large demon versions of themselves.
That's so sick.
I mean, the exciting stuff, this comes out on March 10th, and then right around the corner in April,
they're going to release a raid to put you to the ultimate test.
That's what we're talking about, right?
Like, you have those daydreams of your old destiny one raids.
You think about the division.
You go, man, I love all these video games.
I wish everything had a raid.
And this team, they've nailed the four-player co-op working together
and then making raid mechanics fun and puzzle solving.
Did you play the Tsushima Legends raid?
The Tsushima Legends raid was good, man.
Who's going to be the world number one?
I mean, listen, are y'all trying to do a marathon?
Fran Mirabelle's going to be out there.
We have to stop him.
Hear me out.
Marathon stream on a Tuesday.
This is dropping on a Tuesday.
Here's the thing, though.
It's like March 10th is five days after marathon.
Yeah.
Which like, oh, I don't want to be out here.
Stepping on a little toast.
I don't want to like complain that like, man, my steak is too juicy.
You know, my pancakes are too buttery.
But brother, we got to separate these things out.
Five days is enough time to get married through marathon for me.
Like, I'll be good with the perfect time.
I'll be good with five days.
And is this free?
Or is this.
Okay, got you.
That's so, that's wild to me.
It's awesome.
It's so cool that this team is like.
hey, we're going to make this free thing.
No microtransactions.
You just have to buy the game.
It's kind of like a relic of like a better time.
I got something special for Roger.
Oh.
The next announcement,
Death Stranding 2 comes to PC March 19th.
We shared a moment, Roger.
We did.
Now players everywhere will be able to play on their PCs
if they would like this is another fun one and a good move.
Just kind of start the engine.
Get the hype cooking on this place.
Do you think Tim will be back by March 10th
because I will steal his ultra-wide monitoring
that he has just laying there.
I'll tell him to come back in April for you.
Okay, I appreciate that.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
No, I'm excited to try this out.
I mean, of course, I love this game.
I love just jumping back into it.
As blessing alluded to,
he played 30 hours and then played that same 30 hours again after his preview.
I literally did a marathon stream with Mike,
and then the next game I played was Destorining 2 again.
I just booted it up from the start.
Like, that's how much I adore just playing this game.
You're like, let me actually play.
Yeah, exactly.
Let me really experience.
Meanwhile, with Silent Left just ruined my any interest in all of it.
But yeah, no, I'm very excited to try that out, and I'm excited to see potentially Andy or somebody that has a monster computer play that at 4K, 8K, fucking all this insane settings because it already looks so gorgeous on the face PS5.
Dude, super pumped to play this on keyboard mouse on PC, you know, the way I love playing.
No, dude, I only played the first couple of hours on it.
Andy, this is required playing for you.
Yeah, there are certain parts of this game that are some of the best looking things you've ever seen.
Ever.
It's so cool.
Like, you know, you've been in a plane and you've seen the fucking, you know, mountain.
You seen Yosemite?
I've seen Mountaine.
Yosemite doesn't hear it when the deal first pops up.
Let me tell you.
That first desert open and you're on the ridgeline coming down the switchback.
Oh, that is something special.
I went outside and got disappointed after that.
Let's keep it moving on to the next one.
We see For Loop once again right now.
Forloup is created by Mike Booth and the interactive storytellers at Bad Robot Games.
Four Loop is a tactical four.
player co-op shooter crafted for endless replayability and infinite ways to build the ultimate
team together if you can learn from your mistakes you might just fail to save the world we have
seen for loop before did this show better this time around blessing out of yoia junior i don't think
so this is the first time i think we're seeing actual gameplay it feels like and there's something
about the gameplay they showed here i think just as far as how it's running and like the
moment to moment that looks a little bit shanky, looks a little bit like it's not all the way
as optimized as I'd wanted to be. That said, there are things in here that do look neat.
I think some of the boss stuff they show toward the end of this looked pretty cool and
look pretty fun. But I'm curious from you, Mike, multiplayer poppy. Did this hit for you?
Yeah, this one did not hit for me as well. Blessing. There's just a stiffness to it. There's just a
look to it. Maybe it's the art style. Maybe it's the direction of what we're going with. That's kind of just
bland and doesn't pop off the page
that I want it to right now.
I do like the big epic boss fights.
I think me and Andy are going to really kind of start
talking about some of our favorites in that
genre where it's like, hey, four people
teaming up together in a third person shooter
and you have to do these epic boss fights.
How do you conquer these crazy
Dark Souls-esque? Remember
the patterns. Dodge and weave while
shooting. It's a blast to play.
But something about the look of this game
just doesn't jump
off for me right now, Andy. Yeah, I don't
I don't disagree.
And I think it has to do a bit with art direction and possibly, like you all mentioned,
some of the stiffness with the animation.
I think the character just kind of like, it looks very 1.0 with how it's moving and then
they need to add the secondary kind of movements to the way the characters move.
But I think it largely is an art direction thing because we have seen games look like
this pretty often.
It looked like Exoborne.
It kind of looks like the division.
It looks like a lot of other 3D, third person.
action shooters.
But it really wasn't until that
boss fight that made me go, I want to play
this. I love coordinating
with a squad. I love
trying to, you know,
outdo the boss patterns and
try to figure out what the best and
quickest way to do this. That's
something that interests me, but I'm not really
stoked about like kind of
the overall packaging
that it's in, you know? I think you can get past
the look. If you don't fight with it, when the
gameplay is fun, when you and your friends are
laughing, right? Like, you think of hell divers,
and hell divers are something special, but like, those
moments laughing with your friends, trying to type
in stratagems and, like, killing each other
or blowing up to giant bugs. Like,
if this game is able to capture the fun,
right, all of this critique
won't matter. And I think the cool part about this is
they're asking you to join the playtest
now. It seems like this game is going to
be a ways off because they are still
in the kitchen cooking. They said pre-beta.
In the dev lab, like really
still trying to find this. So I think
we're going to see this game another couple of times,
and it's going to continue to change and create something different than what we're looking at right now.
Yeah, there are a few things I enjoy more than the remnant from the, remnant from the ashes and remnant to those style of boss fights.
And if we can get, if they could show us what they did there with that big ass Rubik's cube thing that's sort of spinning and you have to like find out exactly how to avoid all the lasers and everything,
if you could replicate that cool experience a couple of times and give me several boss fights that give me that feeling,
then I'm fully in regardless of what I feel about.
the art style. Yeah. Let's keep it moving. Capcom showed up, Big Raj. You and I are excited for some of these
games. We got Pragmatta being shown off once again. Andy, how do I say it? Pragmata.
Pragmata. Thank you. Pragmata has a gameplay demo available now. We did see Hugh and Diana.
Yeah. I'm shooting from here. You're killing. You got it. Thank you. We did see Hugh and Diana
off of the space station, kind of a New York-esque type vibe right there. And, uh,
Didn't get much, a little Q lore, as we like a joke on that.
But you do get a demo for the PlayStation 5 right now.
Guys, I think mostly all of us have tried the demo by now.
Yeah.
No, I haven't.
I mean, this game looks gorgeous.
Everything I hear about it sounds like something that I'd be interested in.
I like the hacking mechanics.
I enjoy those types of, like, interesting ways that you're going about shooting and it isn't just so straightforward.
And also like this trailer a lot.
I thought it was like a nice little, like, semi-last of us type deal of like, oh, we're just talking.
We're walking around the music.
What was it like to be a kid, Hugh?
Yeah, exactly.
Oh, remember back in the day?
And it's like, sure, how much of that is actually going to land, right?
Is it just going to be kind of surface level?
Is this all they have in the game?
I don't give a shit about the Hugh lore, man.
No, I don't know what I'm saying.
I don't know that this game is trying for something different, and I will be, I'm just waiting for the full release.
You play it on Switch to the gyro controls.
Oh, really?
Like, it feels good.
Is it a Ronald Can Switch?
It's fine.
Like, it's not, nothing amazing.
I don't know if you're going crazy with mouse and keyboard, but I really liked it with the mouse controls and doing the active shooting mechanics.
that they have right there where you are tracing
your mouse around the little grid maze
and getting after it. Like there's something special
about this game. A baby. I've said
before. That was crazy. That was a giant
baby. No, Mike, that's a
giant man. It doesn't do with a big end.
The proportions are
like long arms and long legs.
I've said it before in this game. There's something
special with the combat about this that
has me very interested. If this can
just hit me for a 8 to 15
hour kind of just really wow moment,
I'm so in. I don't know
how long the tracing mechanic
is until it breaks me, right?
I'm like, hey, I've done the 17th
room full of baddies and I'm struggling
to master this, or it's just
gotten boring, but like I do
worry a little bit about overstaying your
welcome with something like that. I am not
worried about that at all because I thought
I would get tired of the
hacking mini games in
near automata and
it just became a part, it became
like walking or shooting. It just
became, it was part of the core experience.
so I'm not worried about that at all.
And if anything, the last time we saw Pragata had me even more stoked
because I know Blessing and I zoned in on the one spot during that Nintendo Switch,
partner director, whatever, where there was like the Hugh Hacks,
a couple of enemies jumps up and throws a like an AOE grenade that zapped all of them.
And I was like, oh, I want that shit.
I want that.
And yeah, I think this game's going to bang and it looks awesome every time we see it.
Let's stick with Capcom moving on.
Resident Evil Requiem was showed once again.
We are two weeks away from this game.
We were hoping for a possible demo.
No demo announced.
Just more.
Hey, here's Leon.
And then the big reveal, he's back at the police precinct.
Somehow it's still standing.
Well, we saw the police precinct in maybe the, we saw it in another, in another, like,
trailer destroyed and fucked up.
I don't think we saw, I don't think we saw him.
It wasn't Leon going back there because we didn't even know Leon was in the game yet.
It was rumored by that point.
But yeah, it's not, I don't think it's the first time we've seen.
I remember seeing it destroyed after, like, they dropped the bomb on it or whatever.
Guys, I think we're-
first trailer had it.
We're all in on this game.
We're very excited.
Roger, give me your excitement levels for Resident Evil 9.
Oh, like off the chart, especially since I don't have to do a marathon stream with you, Mike.
Yeah, I love you, but, you know, these guys get to do it.
What if we just, you know, we took the Resident Evil marathon stream,
canceled it and replaced it with Ghost of the Otee Legends.
That sounds like a great idea.
That's a great idea.
I pitched to, I had actually, Mike was talking about the demo and I said, man, it'd be awesome.
If you sound really excited about this, Mike, how about you just take my spot?
He goes, how about I'll take blessings?
And it just made it worse.
You didn't make it any more enticing.
Because if you think about who's going to review Resilienable Requiem?
I'm usually the Resident Evil review.
So like, I probably should play.
Oh, yeah.
There's no one else at this company.
But of course, we couldn't do this without your support.
And moments like this, when we do these big.
marathon streams are always so exciting.
This is a great way to crowd. Fund,
of course, keeping the lights and mics on and doing something cool and unique.
So at the end of the month, we will trap Andy and Bless in a room to play through
Resident Evil 9 with your support for as long as you wanted.
So make sure to tune and come out, have some fun with the screams and the shouts.
And on top of that, thank you again for your support, watching live on Twitch and on YouTube.
It wouldn't be possible without you and our fine sponsors.
That's why we're going to take a quick moment to run some ads.

Welcome back, everyone.
We are tearing it up and having a great time looking back on the PlayStation State of Play
for February 12th, 2006.
Let's keep it going on the list of games, games, games.
Roger, tell me a little bit about this legacy of K.
Defiance Remastered.
Oh.
Where'd you go?
Memes.
Roger.
The boo-boos.
Whatever he thought of about.
Roger did have to leave, so we will continue the fun.
I will also encourage all of you to get those super chats in.
I see a super chat in a way.
We'll tear through those throughout the show and at the end of the show.
Blessing.
Andy, Legacy of Kane is back with a number of remastered games.
This is three or four in the two.
Shane. I don't know what the number is. Roger knew it all.
Are you going to play some legacy of Kane ever?
I won't. This is a game that I rented a shit ton of times back in the day.
I often drew Asriel. That's his name, right?
I was just such a fan of drawing him because he was always, he was on like one of this game pro
magazines that I bought because I was like, I would buy one game pro like every six months
and it was like the Bible to me.
So like I was super into just like the overall vibes of it and I rented it a couple
times, but I don't have that level of nostalgia for it where I want to return to it that much.
But I hope it conjures up a lot of, like, enthusiasm for a possible follow-up, because that's what
these usually are for.
These are usually like test bed.
Yeah.
Yeah.
If they were announced, like, maybe a new legacy of Kane, I think it'd be fun to go back
and do homework and be like, okay, what were the, what were the original games like?
I could see it be like a Final Fantasy 10 situation of, you know people love this game.
I want to go and play it to experience.
Oh, it's Razia.
No, it's not Asre.
I've flipped the A and this.
But the A.
Asriel's like, that's an undertale character.
Right.
For real.
Razagool.
Because like Azriel.
That's it.
Because there's, um, oh, fuck, I forgot the name is.
There's Asgore.
And then there's something else that has real in it.
And then the names combined.
And that's Asry.
Well, let's keep talking about old games coming back into it.
Because we have a game from the 90s making a splash.
I learned a new word today.
What was it?
Brigand Dean.
Bring a D in a BIS.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Brin Dian a Biss.
Don't know anything about this.
I don't know about the prior one.
I don't know about the remake that came out in 2020,
but I saw people in chat saying like,
man, these guys don't know ball.
And you're right.
Yeah, I wasn't really gaming like that.
No, we can call them a nerd.
Yeah, that is true.
You can't look at this game.
No, you're right.
You're right.
You're right.
I'm learning ball.
Okay.
I'm learning ball.
We're a lot to learn ball.
Yeah.
But because I don't know,
bringing Dean,
what's the rest of the name?
What's the rest of the name?
Because I don't know Bring Dian D in Abyss.
I don't know ball.
He doesn't know ball.
Let him learn.
I know Jeff Ford Shem and I feel like that's football.
I don't know.
I was also like not.
My family wasn't well off enough to be renting and buying like the fourth rate JRP.
You know what I mean?
Like I'm sorry.
I was getting Spiro the Dragon.
We're going to give some spicy guys.
I was getting spiro and like.
I don't know bringing Dean.
What the fuck are you talking about?
Let's keep it going.
We had dead.
Alive 6 last round coming to,
coming on June 25th,
a free to play version available at launch.
Blessing,
Dead or Alive 6 last round.
This is a game from,
come on.
2019, I think I said.
And we're so back, man.
We're so bad.
We're so bad.
More content.
More content for Dead or Live six.
Come on.
Yeah.
And we kept the Dead or Alive going with a new
dead or alive game that is in development featuring Raiyu,
Hyabusa from Ryu.
I was close.
Okay.
Yeah, I know you were.
It's okay.
I know the Hayibusa armor from Halo 3.
Oh, right.
Right.
From Ninja Guideon.
And then I have in my notes, big old titties.
Oh, somebody wrote that.
Who wrote that?
I think I saw Blessed typing at that moment.
This is a weird one because it's obviously like they want us to know that this is somebody from.
Right here?
You should know.
You should know that smile.
I didn't.
I couldn't.
I think they just wanted us to see.
Because here's the thing.
The Ariola wasn't pressed.
I didn't recognize.
Oh, my God.
No, Dead or Alive is known for the TV.
Oh, I know.
Yeah.
I know.
I feel like that is them kind of being tongue-in-cheek.
Really?
But I thought they were just showing her eyes to be like, oh, it's so-and-so from that one game or I don't know.
I don't think they were doing this.
Oh, Katzumi, people were saying Katzumi.
Yeah, it felt like they recognized from the titty.
Because it wasn't just boobs.
It was like at the cleavage and like right to wear the nose.
I took it as the outfit.
You should know the outfit.
Got you.
Okay.
And there was just two obstructions in the way.
Dude gigantic obstacles.
They know what they're doing.
A new Dead or Alive in development
Blessing you're our fighting game guy
You're excited about Dead or Alive a new game
No
Okay, that's all I need to know
But good for them
I do think Deader Alive has his pocket pockets of fans
And I love to see new fighting games
Get announced and come out
And so excited to see what they do with the new one
And maybe a new one brings me back in
Because we're, here's the thing
Is I feel like we're through the storm
Of like highly anticipated fighting games
Being announced and coming out
We got Mortal Kombat
We got Street Fighter we got Tekin
We got Guilty Gear
We're getting Marvel talk on Fighting Souls
we're getting, like, we're getting weird fighting games now.
You didn't mention 2XCA.
You didn't get a whole new clip.
Just getting so many.
I don't know if we're going to have 2XKO for that long.
This is crazy.
Yeah, we got 2XKO, Invincible Avatar.
Like, we've worked our way through so many fighting games.
By the time Deader Alive comes out, Fatal Fury, by the time this comes,
we got King of Fighters 15.
We just named every fighting game, by the way.
Yeah, virtual fighter six.
Five, Revo.
Six is one of the upcoming ones.
The one that super realistic looks.
It's crazy that we get all these fighting games,
but we still won't get Def Jam.
I know it's fucked up.
Too many licensing rights, man.
Really fucked.
But yeah, I think this might be able to come out at a place where we've cleared the room for it, you know?
So maybe it might be able to exist.
Yeah.
Like, free from big competition in this way.
Okay.
Well, let's get back in gear about a game that we're all very excited for.
We got more control resonant.
And oh, wow, Dylan is out there in the streets.
Okay.
And these streets be moving, Andy.
Dude.
I mean, so as if I wasn't stoked enough for this video.
game, which is the follow-up to
control. It's
not just a side project. It is a sequel.
They've mentioned several times. And
you know, that first couple times we see it,
it's like, okay, the gameplay
in control was always banging,
and it's cool action with
awesome visuals and just really
like sauce. Like,
it's just dripping in sauce. And then to see
the perspective change of like, I'm going to jump on the
wall, but now that's the floor, along
with the weapons being used, along with
with the boss fights, like so many of these
cool, weird,
just imaginative areas
and spectacles and visuals we're seeing.
It's like, fuck, man.
This is easy top five of the year,
easy top three of the year, you know?
Yeah, I agree.
I can't, I can't.
There's not much more I can say about this trailer
that we haven't already said about how sick this all looks.
It just somehow looked even better.
Yeah.
I mean,
like it just got even more hype to see this game
that delivered on this trailer
after a game that we're already excited for.
You referencing prototype, well, actually you referencing infamous,
but that's bringing up prototype during the thing, I think, is apt as far as like what...
When you see him on the cityscape here, it feels like you got a superhero game going on.
Yeah, yeah.
And the idea of them, like, looking at the control sequel and going,
what if we made an open world city fucking superhero game that's also kind of like Fez
where you're just, or Gravity Rush even, where you're on the walls and stuff?
Super cool.
I love it.
This is a tough one to do.
Already getting a bunch of hype for the game, a big sequel, and then showing another
trailer not too long after and
us getting this excited for it.
That is a masterclass
from this team over at Remedy. I feel like
PlayStation was like, we'll pay extra for this
trailer. We want
the act like that we want the one with this
crazy act. It just looks so damn cool.
I can't wait to see
how the kit evolves.
Like how his weapon sets and how
we know that this one weapon he's
using, which is similar to Jesse Fadden's
service weapon. The service weapon,
how that turned into like, it's still
always look like a handgun, but it was like, this is the sniper version, this is the shoddy version,
whatever, to see this weapon turn into either dual blades or the hammer or whatever, just a
standard blade, it's just like oozing style, man.
I love it.
And I love how much we've already seen of it, too, because, like, you have the hammer mode.
You had, like, he pulled out two swords and started stabbing it.
Yeah.
Elsewhere in the trailer, we saw it turn into, like, a long kind of, like, red whip kind of chain
kind of thing.
Oh, my God.
Yeah.
And anything we've seen with the box, I feel like, it's crazy because everything.
looks awesome and then the couple of glimpses we see at the boss fights are arguably cool
than everything else we've ever seen yeah and the it reminds me a lot of the way kind of some of
the spectacle of boss fights happened with uh clare obscure or even with returnal and obviously it's
not like that bosses look more like these weird sort of imaginative things in like aliens the way
they did in returnal but just the way that things are kind of like laid out here's we
want this arena to look like an art piece as well.
It's just fucking remedy just knows
what it takes to make shit look awesome.
Let's talk about a game that caught my eye.
And I think I actually caught all of us at the table.
Crimson Moon.
Yeah.
Slated for 2026, Crimson Moon is an action-adventure RPG
set in a Gothic world full of
angels, demons, and ancient
gods. Players will embody
the... Hit me with it, Andy.
The...
The... Well, I'm reading the
Curse City thing. What is it?
Oh, no.
Nephilim. Nefellim? Yeah, I don't know.
Players will embody the Nephlin, a human angel hybrid,
serving the Order of the Crimson Moon tasked with reclaiming the cursed city of Gildenarch
from the evil that infested. Players can battle alone or join forces with a friend.
Co-op amplifies the intensity with dynamic difficulty scaling and enemy composition,
ensuring every mission feels fresh and personal, whether fighting side by side or carving.
your own path. The goal remains to save. Same. Purge the darkness and reclaim the city.
This one caught my eye. I, you know, a little darksiders vibe to it, but like a really fun
looking double A, Sabre interactive type vibe with a friend in this like co-op medieval setting
really was, I like this. I like this. Yeah, it has to like feel really good in order for me
to be like, all right, that actually did, that was awesome to play and feel. But, um,
Yeah, I just, I kind of wish we just had more games like this that didn't need the yearly battle pass.
And it's just a, it's a Warhammer Space Marine 2 sort of experience, which was one of my favorite experiences last year.
Or when was that?
I mean, it was last year.
Maybe.
Two years.
Yeah, I think it's cool.
Yeah, this looks awesome.
This looks fun.
I hope it's great.
I hope it's a, you know, seven or above.
That's what I feel like it's kind of hitting.
And that's totally awesome.
Like, I'm hoping to have a good time with it.
Bless.
Beast of World.
reincarnation shown and dated for August 4th.
I don't know if we had the date before.
The date, I believe, is new.
So this is new.
The title will be available on PlayStation 5,
day one on Xbox Game Pass,
and Windows and PCV as Steam.
Players will also be able to purchase
the physical version of Beast of Reincarnation
on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S
day and date, if you're into physical stuff.
Bless, we've already got hype for this.
We're excited for this. Did this do more for you?
Is the date what you needed, though, in August?
The date is what I needed.
And I'm happy we got the day.
Did the trailer do more for me?
I don't know if I would say so necessarily.
I think I'm still on the place where I'm excited about the game.
I'm not feeling like this is going to change my life or anything like that, right?
But I'm always looking forward to a new action game,
especially when it looks like it has neat things going on with it.
And so I mean,
new action game from Game Freak, the people who make Pokemon, right?
Like that's the crazy one about this, Andy, that we talk about.
It's like the excitement that this team is off the Pokemon treadmill
and trying something different and new.
And hey, it looks cool.
Yeah, I think it looks really great.
I think it keeps on showing off in really neat, interesting ways.
Yeah, hopefully, hopefully it feels and plays great because we heard the way those Perry sound and they sound delicious.
I love that little, that high resonant kind of, you know, metal clanging on metal tone.
It looks great.
I hope it plays awesome.
I expect it to.
Andy, can you break some sad news right now to my friend Christoph 21 in the YouTube chat says,
guys, you're low-key convincing me that the OLED Steam deck is my next game.
purchase later this year.
Can you tell us what we report a lot of games daily
from our friend over there?
Okay, well here's the deal.
People love making AI videos.
Bullshit.
You know, usually like sometimes dead people,
but all like, and maybe it's like also, you know,
I don't know, Luke King from Mortal Kombat.
And it's just like people love doing that with AI stuff.
They love generating things.
And that's making RAM really, really, really expensive.
And right now the Steam Deck OLED is currently out of stock.
And that's kind of wild because it's not like this brand new product.
It's like a product that's been out for a couple of years now.
And Steam is, Val was like, hey, man, shit's tough out there.
So we don't know what the status of the Steam Deck OLED is, brother.
And I hope things turn around for you.
And I hope all these AI data centers just like, you know, melt.
I hope meteors only hit those data centers.
I mean, and then we get all the ram back.
We scavenge them.
Yeah.
steal the ram back.
I mean, on the right side,
I did see a clip of Bill Clinton
getting dunked on by hair.
Okay.
So, like, let's go.
Pretty late.
Let's talk about the past
that's now coming to the future.
Tomorrow, Ray Man 30th anniversary edition drops,
celebrating three decades of Ubisoft's legendary mascot.
This definitive edition lets you play
multiple versions of the 1995 game,
including the handheld adaptations,
reformatted for the PlayStation 5.
You can also take on 120 additional levels,
pulled from the bonus level packs,
Rayman's new levels,
Rayman's 60 levels, and Rayman
by his fans. It includes
a faithfully reimagined soundtrack
by composer Christoph
Hurlin, Hurl,
as well as the optional
enhanced gameplay features that change up
the classic gameplay, such as a 60
second rewind, multiple save slots,
instant level unlock, and infinite
lives. As a added bonus,
Rayman 30th anniversary edition,
will include a never-before playable prototype giving you an inside look at how Rayman's gameplay was developed.
I love that stuff.
Hell, yeah, it will also include an exclusive interactive documentary offering a fan of a glimpse into the untold story of Rayman
with over 50 minutes of new interviews with the original developers, rare concept art, early sketches,
and design documents that show how the Limeless Hero came to be.
I love that.
That's cool.
Mike, no one popped off for this more than you.
Dude, there's something.
And you said, I played this.
I played this.
Which is massive.
Because as we've talked in the past, you know, gun and ball guy.
Gun and ball boy.
Yeah.
Like, man, Rayman, Rayman and Odd World have a weird place in my heart.
Those were some OG games that I vividly remember as a kid way back on the PS1.
And it's always been fun to see Rayman throughout the years and what he's done.
And how, of course, I only played so many of them before I fell.
off. But to get this, to get a little, just a little fleeting love nostalgia of my childhood
memories, I'm all in on this. And as Blessing says, right, as we continue to hurl into the future
and we leave so many video games projects behind and sometimes they're lost to time, it is special
to be able to say, hey, hold up, like, let's try to save these works of art and let's make sure that
future generations have some way of playing them, seeing them, maybe even learning from them. And so,
Maybe somebody, some young kid out there watches the Rayman,
uh, exclusive interactive documentary or maybe just plays it and goes,
I'm inspired.
This is something special to me.
It's crazy.
There's so many people who have no idea who this dude.
Like he may as well be crazy.
May as well be Vector Man to some people.
Like it's just been so long since we've seen him in a big popular way that wasn't
the rabid's.
How many people?
How many kids under the age of like 20?
Like what percentage do you think no?
I think.
I think hearing about it in a collection from an old,
or maybe they had an uncle or a dad who played it.
Like, what we got to do if we really want to put the world onto Raymond.
We need to have kids.
Well, no, I was going to say we got to put Raymond in Fortnite.
That's true.
That's the only way.
He can be a backpack.
Not a character?
No, because it's body proportions.
It's the whole thing.
I put him in a back.
Put him in a robot.
I kind of hate that's the solution.
Yeah.
I don't like the robots.
I don't like to either.
All right, let's keep it moving.
Mina the Hollower returned a demo out.
tomorrow exclusively on PlayStation.
I forgot about that.
Spring,
2026.
This is a game
that has been on many of our predictions.
This is a game that we've been patiently waiting for.
And now you got spring
2026 and a demo tomorrow.
Blessing, should we be pumped up,
should we be pumped up for Yacht Club's
next big game?
Oh yeah. I think anybody who loves classic games,
anybody who loves the classic Zelda type game,
or if you're somebody who played shovel night
and are looking forward to the next thing from that studio,
you definitely should be pumped up about this.
I'm, honestly, I kind of gave up
on it a little bit. You know, Jason, I think it was Shrier that had the article where he was talking about
what is going on with Mina the Hallower in that the developers are being very frank about, yeah,
we're supposed to release last November and we are just like figuring things out. Like, you know,
we are still trying to figure out design, polish, like, we want to get this thing to the finish line,
but it is not ready to come out right now. And so I thought that they would just disappear and
come back whenever it's about to come out. I love that we're in a place where we can get a new demo
for it. And they're saying spring, you know, that builds really well.
My notes here that Greg put in a 20-plus hour adventure.
You won't have to wait long.
After six years of work, Yacht Club games is in the final stretch.
Mina is their most ambitious game ever.
Awesome.
Very exciting stuff right there.
J-Camp says in the YouTube chat, I love the Game Boy color vibes in this.
And Yacht Club are masters of just visuals.
And if I recall correctly, I think when Shovel Night came out,
they said that the Shovel Night sound files could have fit on a,
a Game Boy.
I'm pretty sure that's what it was where it's like they are so authentic to the experience
of all of it.
And maybe that was just like a, I don't know, old wives tale or something like that.
But if you haven't played Shovel Night and you play the demo for this and end up digging
it, I think Shovel Night is one of the goats, one of like those best sort of classic indie
games that comes out and, you know, pays homage to some older titles and some older genres
while kind of bringing in the new a bit.
Solanine is fantastic.
I expect me to the hollower to be amazing.
If you're doing your top 100 researches,
I know many of the audience is especially excited for the KF top 100.
That is one that you put on your list to go check out if you have not.
Neither the holler or shovel.
I think that's in my top of 100.
Let's talk about another one that we all loved.
And now is getting another game,
Never Prolog.
February 19th,
Nomata Studios and Devolver Digital are all thrilled to announce
Neva Prologue a stunning new paid DLC expansion that reveals how Alba and Neva's
fates first became intertwined.
The DLC will launch on PC, PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox Series, Exodus, Nintendo Switch on February 19th
for $2.99.
Oh, my God.
Is that a misprint?
No, it's got to be, because the game is, I think, $20.
Okay.
$15 maybe.
Wow.
This is, Neva is one of those super special experiences that will make.
make you feel, man.
And it's good, fun gameplay
as well. I don't think it's like the most
amazing stuff gameplay-wise, but it's
way more than serviceable. So I'm saying, like,
don't expect Prince of
Persia lost crown type levels
of combat and exploration, but
it's like still really fun to
experience and interact with. But
the story and the visuals and all
of that stuff is just like, it's
all developed into a super
like just tightly
wrapped package that is about
four hours long.
It is so efficient at getting you to the next feeling.
It's so efficient at crescendoing with that one amazing moment and then just having you
like, holy shit, that was awesome.
And my body's just feeling all sorts of stuff right now.
I think Nomada Studios killed it.
This was, I think, number nine of my top 10 of the year that it came out.
This is one that needs to be played.
It's super short as well.
And yeah, $2.99 for a DLC sounds amazing.
Let me give you quick rundown.
Designed to be experienced after completing the main game.
Never Prolog offers a deeper challenge and rich narrative for returning players.
The DLC also introduces three new locations, each featuring unique gameplay mechanics alongside new enemies and intense boss encounters.
It's awesome.
Go check it out.
Up next.
You got it.
Yako.
That doesn't feel right, though.
I think that's it.
I think that's it.
Yako Shinobi Ops, 2007.
And Yako Shinobi Ops, four players take the role of Shinobi.
together to infiltrate heavily guarded enemy territory.
Enemy soldiers patrol every corner, trapped lurk in the shadows,
and danger is everywhere.
Only by combining their unique abilities can the four Shinobi accomplish their mission.
While the game can be enjoyed solo,
we believe the experience truly shines when four players collaborate as one unified force.
This looks like right here, this looks like dusk blood.
Like, here's your squad
and you're going out there to go fight.
I'm so pumped up about this,
Bless and Andy.
We saw a game similar to this,
or maybe it was the original
because it was an older game,
me and Greg,
that I keep bringing up.
But I love the tunnel vision.
I love the vision of the vision cone
of like, here's what you can see.
Anything out there is in the shadows
in the fog of war.
You have no idea what you're getting into.
I love a really good stealth game right now.
I'm really into my tactical bag,
I know you're getting into that.
It's like, this game screams.
Mike, play this and just try
to be the most stealthy as you can ever be.
Yeah, this looks fantastic.
I like the style of it too.
I love that we're going for like,
I don't even know if stylized would be the way to put it
because I would say like realistic mixed with a bit of,
I guess just inspired visuals when you're talking about the top down,
but it's still kind of looking very AAA in its design,
even though I know it's probably not AAA,
but I just love the look of it.
I think based on how the characters running out at the end, not AAA.
Yeah, exactly, exactly.
But they just found a pocket that just looks really good.
presentationally.
And so, yeah, I love to look at a slide and they're skating on the ground.
Shout to the hedgehog.
Thank you to the chat that says shadow tactics is the game that I'm referencing.
I'm excited to play that one.
Bless, let's go to our next one.
Project Windlass coming from Crafton, Montreal Studios.
Project Winless is set in the universe of the acclaimed Korean fantasy series,
the bird that drinks tears.
Oh, snap.
This is the chicken game.
This is the damn chick.
From the beginning, we wanted Project Winless to feel like your world, not ours.
We made in an open world with as little handholding as possible.
You are free to chart your own course, and the world rarely forces you in a single direction.
Whether you're exploring on your own, delving into a hidden story, or preparing up for a massive battle,
we want your journey to feel personal and authentic, full of unexpected moments.
Instead of guiding players step-by-step, the world is designed to encourage,
curiosity to take risks, to forge alliances, to wage war, and ultimately to decide what kind of
legend you as a player want to become.
Hell yeah, really.
The fucking, man, you know, foghorn, leghorn started taking steroids.
Here it is.
And he's back with a vengeance.
Look at this guy.
This game jumped right off the screen at us.
He got a nice pickup from the squad.
Looking back at it, I'm still smiling.
Yeah.
I still can't wait for this.
You brought it up.
Andy, it has the Destiny War.
Dynasty Warriors, kind of big battle.
Musco. Aaron through all these
small units. If I'm being
honest, that might be the one thing that I'm not
feeling, but not because that's just I think the kind of game that wants to be.
I'm just not a big Muso person. And so I
get worried about myself, kind of getting lost
in combat, not, you know, feeling the
satisfaction that I want out of the combat.
But other than that, this looks fucking awesome.
I think for how pretty this game
looks, the fact that they have so many enemies on screen
is actually very impressive.
Yeah, it looks gorgeous.
The reason I thought it was one of the,
I could have sworn it was one of those China Project Hero
thing.
Yeah, China Hero Project.
Yeah, China Hero Project.
But yeah, what a weird kind of thing to come out of nowhere, you know,
was it, was it a recent state of play where we had the other,
that one other animal who was due and fighting stuff?
I know what you're talking about.
You know what I'm talking about.
I know exactly what you're talking about.
It was the fist.
Fist forged in shadow.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It was like the follow up to that.
Yeah, so it was like third person action.
Anthropomorphic animals are back.
And I love...
They're back.
They're back.
I've always thought they're cool as shit, you know?
Biomuton.
Yeah, Biomuton was a weird call.
Biomuton.
Ratchet never left.
So this could walk.
Yeah, I don't know.
It's just an other animal.
What was the sequel to Fist Fortune Shadowport called?
Oh, Zupunk.
Oh, is that?
Oh, you're right.
That's a game that has like hell of AI where you like,
you type in a question to it, and then it, like, answers back in
I'm like, oh, why are you doing that?
Oh, hey, Zupunk?
Yeah.
I'm looking at a Reddit post here that says Rabbit Action Game Zupunk was made by humans,
not AI, says Chinese dev games, or Chinese, says Chinese dev T games as suspicions
rise around Xbox showcase.
But then it, well, no, it's not that it was that it was that, it was that, it was that
it was that, it was like, in Zupunk, we're showing off this tech where you can type in
a question to this NPC and it responds.
It was like in a, in a video presentation.
That usually goes well.
We've proven that talking to the AI usually goes with.
It finds a Fortnite Darth Vader.
You should kill yourself or you're always to jump off that building or survive.
Whatever it says, yeah.
Let's keep it going talking about Darth Vader.
Segway, Star Wars, Galactic Racer, 2026, still no firm date on this one, unless I'm wrong.
But on my notes it says here, we have a campaign little tease on that.
We got more of that.
I know we're excited for it.
Blessing, you're my burnout guy.
I think this looks so fun.
It's somebody who loves burnout
and is somebody who's so down
for the year of the racing game in 2026
between Ford's Screamer and this.
Like, yeah, let's go.
I think the gameplay looks fun.
I love seeing vehicles bash against each other
and seeing that like it kind of does have
a little bit of that crushy feel
that burnout has.
I think this looks cool.
I love seeing the different vehicles as well.
We got a peek at the pod racer
that everybody was asking for.
And so, yeah, I think this looks really cool.
Let's see.
I know they have...
Shout out to Ben Quadgenero.
Shout out to me for pulling that out of the memory hole.
I still don't believe that's real.
Play as shade in an immersive campaign choosing from branching path of events to earn parts, tools, and upgrades that will give you an edge in the championship.
Try out new build strategies in different repulsor craft, land speeders, skim speeders, speeder bikes, and, of course, pod racers.
And work with mechanic Hibby to build the ultimate vehicle to suit your racing style.
Race, adapt, and master new strategies as you.
you forge alliances and take down rivals on your path to becoming champion of the Galactic League.
Man, I can't believe we're getting this and Screamer in the same year.
Do you know Screamer?
I know, I keep bringing that up.
I'm going to look up a Screamer when I leave this.
Because I can't wait, Roddy.
Because, like, we're getting racing game story mode.
You know what?
The thing I've wanted for a very long time.
We get in spurts here and there.
Like, but come on.
Like, we missed the need for speed days of the PS2.
Of course, most wanted.
No, no.
Underground 2.
Underground 2.
Most wanted did have the story too.
I think that had like the FMV.
What was the other one that we liked back then?
It was Need for Speed, then there was nothing.
It was like something big Excel or something like that.
You know what it is.
Big Excel.
No, you know what I'm talking about.
It had wheels right up on the front.
Oh, On Rush?
No, no, no, no.
It was like Need for Speed Underground.
I got nothing.
Oh, Midnight Club.
Midnight Club.
Double edition.
Double edition.
That's exactly what it is.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Big XL, very close.
Funny enough that got me there, though.
Like, the more I thought about it was like,
I know what I was talking about.
You know what I'm talking about.
You know what I'm talking about.
No edition remix.
Then we got another look at
007 First Light May 27th.
We're excited for this one from IEO Interactive.
We've got to see a lot of Bond cast members,
it looks like, a lot more like,
hey, these are going to be characters
that Bond's going to be probably interacting with.
So nice little one-offs at the bar, right?
But no Lenny Kravitz.
No Lenny Kravitz.
I thought he looked cool with a shaved head.
They showed him that one sequence
and it may have been like when he's first being recruited.
But he had a shaved hell.
I was like, you look cool.
I wish you kind of kept the shaved head.
I don't know.
Like right there.
It looks cool.
This was a good look.
This was a good showing right here.
Yeah, I've seen too much of the game.
And, like, they're showing good stuff.
Yeah.
I just need this game to come out.
Keep it short, sweet, and simple.
Let's get in, let's get out.
We're already ready for it.
Just get to May and we'll be there.
Like, I feel like their trailer team is, like, working nonstop.
Like, can we leave the editing room?
They're like, no, we need enough.
It's good, guys.
There's a showcase coming up in two weeks.
It's great.
It's awesome, man.
Quinasu of shit.
This is when we got officially
into the back half of the game.
This is Screamer.
Yeah.
Get into like,
they'll probably bring it up
in a second,
but like they get into some of the
anime cutscenes and it's like
they got a lot going on.
We're going to set up the driving wheel
and you and I will have a driving wheel.
Oh,
that's it.
That's cool.
Yeah,
it's a whole story mode.
Uh,
not to linger,
but like I want to go back to
back to Project One list for a second.
Oh, please,
please.
Because I highlighted a part where they talked about the,
we made an open world with as little handholding as possible.
You're free to chart your own course.
the world rarely forces you in a single direction.
Where you want to go?
That's going to be the thing that makes me play.
This game if they pull that off in a really fun way.
I think some of our favorite open world games are able to do that.
Whether it's a Zelda, the modern, like, Breath of the Wild Truth of the Kingdom, or an Eldon Ring,
or, you know, when you're able to design an open world game around, hey, go whatever direction you want
and, like, explore the or discover the world at your own pace.
We're not going to fill it up with checklist items on the map.
That's my favorite kind of open world.
So that really excites me there.
I just wanted to shout that out.
Let that chicken fly.
Let that chican fly.
Let that rooster roo.
Let that cock out.
Let that cock doodoodle do.
There we go.
Let that cock campaign.
Now we go to the Konami block.
PlayStation said, hey, we've teamed up with our friends over at Konami.
And they have a lot to announce.
So we're actually going to go to Konami HQ.
We're going to let them tell you all about the big games they got.
And then guess what?
It went to black.
and they showed Metal Gear Solid
and we all screamed our head off
and then they were like guess what
it's not a new Metal Gear Solid game
but it's Metal Gear Solid
Collection 2 coming August 27th
it has Metal Gear Solid 4
and Peace Walker in it
finally freed from the PS3
Anglos Babel. This is so special
you know MGS4 has been stuck
on the PS3 of course
the cell processor so tough to
rip that game from the confines
of that thing and put it on to another
system. This has been
what, a deck, two decades, almost
two decades in the making of like, I guess
not really, but like you get what I mean. It's been so long
since we've seen MGS4
just, you know, appear and be able to be playable anywhere else
but the PS3 and so this is a very
big deal. Love to see the fact that
they're able to make it happen and love the improvements
as we talk about some of the other
things we get into, you know, not to get ahead
of ourselves. No, please keep it going, please. When we get into
the part one of the collection, they're going back.
One gets the final update with high resolution mode.
Yeah, super cool to go back to MGS1 and add that there.
And so love that.
Love that they're treating these things with care and respect.
And love that.
This makes me feel like we're due for more metal,
you're solid in the future.
Of course, we were riding a high.
And we said, this can't be all.
There might be more.
And then we saw a box.
And we had a moment where we said,
oh, shit, they're doing it.
And then a little tentacle came out.
And he said, let me have that.
It's a.
Darwin's Paradox demo tomorrow that is tied up with Metal Gear Solid for a fun.
Metal Gear Solid-esque demo level.
The Octopus is out and having some fun.
20.
Oh, we don't have much information on that game, but what do we think?
You can't do that.
You can't do that.
You can't do that.
It's too precious of a franchise to say, now let's look for, because I believe, Kevin, if you rewind a bit,
I believe you said let's look towards the future of Metal Gear games.
there was something said along those lines.
It's a Phil Spencer situation all over again.
Yes.
It was like, Phil, you can't be saying stuff like that.
Yeah, like, and it's just a silly wording thing at the end of the day,
not the biggest deal, but, you know, maybe that was what kept me from giving.
He said, please look forward to what's next for the Metal Gear series.
Yeah, you can't do that.
You can't save it.
Like, what you do is you say, it's two different statements, though.
He says, look forward for the future of the Metal Gear series and finally enjoy the next video.
That's what happened with the Phil Spencer thing.
He said comma.
He said comma.
There's a period in there.
But like you got to put another sentence in between those.
Yeah.
You got to change the topic and then bring us back.
Yeah.
So that,
yeah,
that was kind of a tough,
you know,
because we still in our hearts thought,
oh,
but after this you show the real metal.
No,
it's like that's what it was.
And I think Darwin's paradox looks cool.
I think it looks like a fun side scroller,
a creative sort of thing they're working on,
which is very different from what we've seen out of them.
And or,
you know,
saying that. It's just like Konami who was out of the game for a while,
then started getting back into sort of, you know, Silent Hill remakes and things like that.
I am, I'm interested in that game. I just wish that I knew.
And that'll be all for Metal Gear Solid. Yeah. And then maybe they show, like,
just a tentacle. And then we know it's a joke from the beginning, you know. They'll give my hopes up.
The game did get a release date, by the way, April 2nd, 2026.
For Darwin. For Darwin's The Octon. I'm very excited about this one. This one looks great.
It looks cute.
Up next, after that, we went to Castlevania, Belmont's curse.
This is coming 2026, Evil Empire and Motion Twin, together.
This game is set in 1499 Paris, a city attacked by monstrous creatures,
suddenly emerged from the shadows, armed with the legendary Holy Whip,
the vampire killer, Trevor Belmont's successor,
ventures into the burning streets and the looming castle to hunt down beasts.
It wasn't until we saw
When we saw that card with the whip on it
I thought that was a roguelight
Selection card
That's why I said rogly
Because I thought it was like that's the
I thought that was the weapon they chose
For this run or whatever
I would get it
But also I'd be if this was announced
As a Rogelite
I feel like that'd be such a slap in the face
To the audience
You're not wrong
Of Castlevania
You are not wrong
I did notice there at the very
Very beginning
When we're showing off who's working on it
It says Evil Empire
Then it says
Motion Twin
An Advisory Game Studio
So Motion Twin also working on windblown, which is that that's their early access game.
But good for them to kind of get the bag here to help fund their actual project.
But I mean, we're looking at two game deliverers that are insanely talented and very, very capable coming together to work on this.
I still really, really wish that it was the Game Kitchen, the Blastomous Devs working on this.
But it's awesome to see we're keeping close with the team that.
made a lot of dead cells in
Castlevania kind of tie in stuff for us in the past.
I think the blasphemous team would have been sick
for, I guess, like the art style presentation.
Yeah. Part of it. But for the gameplay,
I think this is the perfect choice.
You know, Motion Twin, like you mentioned,
debt cells, and in collaboration with Evil Empire,
I think Evil Empire was mainly
on DLC content. But
that game, like, Dead Cells,
y'all didn't know me in person.
Like, the audience, y'all didn't really know me during the
Dead Cells era. We didn't know him. But, like, I was a different
person. That shit. That had me locked
I played so much fucking Deadcells.
Like that was my blueprints of that year where I just could not remove myself from that game.
Such an excellently designed thing.
And I love that this is the studio that's working on Cassavania because Dead Cells has so much
Cassavania DNA in it to the point where, yeah, we've got the Cassavania DLC in that game.
And so, yeah, this is the perfect studio to be working on this.
And also, shout out to Evil Empire in particular, get in the bag because they worked on this.
And then also they did Prince of Persia.
Yeah.
That's kind of, that's a crazy, like.
Rogue Prince, right?
Rogue Prince of Persia, yeah.
Like, that's a crazy, like, you know, back and forth of two very well-renowned
video game IPs to be able to get that licensed or not like, but be able to work on.
And you become some of the best in the craft they're going to go.
Yeah.
Right.
Can you rewind it about maybe 10 to 15, 20 seconds?
I don't know, Kev.
But the early nomination for coolest animation of the year, the whip.
Anytime he's, I'd say go back even further.
Anytime that whip looks so satisfying and so pretty to use with how, like,
It's just like, it's just, that thing is just swinging all over the place.
It's beautiful.
The art style is fantastic.
When we see like, not only the way the whip animation works, but also the way the fire
kind of comes out of the ground in certain spots, in addition to the way the boss fights
look, like, this looks so damn pretty.
I want to give a big shout out to the over 5,000 of you watching right now.
We are two and a half hours into this live reaction and gamescast.
We're going to keep it going.
We're going to pick up the speed.
Of course, I will read through your super chats at the end.
You end. Oh, no, we had two more announcements in Konami.
Silent Hill Townfall coming up a first-person Silent Hill right now,
set for 2026.
Blessing, Andy, you're excited about this one.
I know you're not my biggest horror guys.
I mean, Bless plays a lot more horror games than I do,
which is why, you know, he should be perfect for this Requiem play-through.
Just play all of it.
But, like, you know, I'll play Leon.
You play Claire.
Yeah, but like I'm such an action guy.
You know, I love the action games.
But the, uh, Claire.
Isn't it?
It just feels right when he said.
Wait, is it not?
I'm thinking of Diana from Pragmat.
Are you sure it's not clear?
No, it's not clear.
This looks awesome, dude.
I think this looks really damn cool.
Ashcroft.
Yeah, with Claire Redfield on them.
This idea of like just waking up and crawling out of the water every day and you're not really sure at Rogue Light.
But like I just, I love the art direction of it.
The monsters look creepy and seeing it in first person is just something I'm not used to with this friend.
Let me give you a little rundown and Blessy, can you look up this team that I'm about to call out right now?
With Silent Hill Townfall, we at Screen, Burn, Interactive, wanted to both evolve the unique narrative design that we had experimented with in our past games while pushing into ambitious territory with the new town to explore horrific enemies to fight and evade and story-driven puzzles to help deliver a new but distinctly Silent Hill tale of mystery, tragedy, and loss.
Now, this is something me and Roger were talking about on a Games Daily recently, of course, with,
Konami saying, hey, Silent Hill
remastered it really well. We want to get
way into this franchise. We want more,
more, more, and then, of course, Silent Hill
F. Now we have a whole other team working
in the universe. What are they known for?
Bless and what's the other game? Observation,
which I don't know much about, but I know the name.
I know the time, down the game time.
Yeah, observation was a 2019 joint
from Devalver Digital. So I remember when that came out.
They also did Stories Untold. That was
2017, also Devalver Digital.
Before that, they did
mobile title. No, actually, House Abandon
was 2016, which is the previous one.
And then they did mobile titles, Super Arc Light,
and Love versus Dub on Android.
Slip Critch says they just did a Silent Hill direct on the game.
Yes, of course, we are watching live.
But yeah, there is a Silent Hill transmission
is the live stream that they just did to learn more
about Silent Hill Townfall.
And I'm sure even more Silent Hill properties coming your way.
We ended the Konami block with a new JRP coming your way.
Rev Noir.
Yeah.
Look, it kind of reminded me of Scarlet Nexus when we're talking about how the art style and the presentation looks.
I mean, for the type of game that I don't normally like draw to when we talk about, oh gosh, I'm thinking of the other.
Yeah, I mean, I think maybe just JRP, action RPG.
Tails.
Yeah, Tales of a Rise and stuff like that.
I thought it looked pretty cool.
I don't know if I would have ended the Konami segment with that.
But I still think it looks cool for what it was.
This was one of the few dips in the show.
I think the only dip for me really was, man,
we're going to end this really high block that started off with Metal Gear.
With this, a game that's not clicking for me.
But I'm sure if you're a JRP super fan or you're just interested in the genre
and this catches your eye, you're going to want to give it a try.
It's a new team making something.
Yeah.
Yeah, I liked the way the, when they actually showed off the action,
it's not anything we hadn't seen before,
but it still looked really good and very, like, very capable.
We saw that dude dashed in.
It kind of reminded me a Final Fantasy 15.
Yeah, I enjoyed it for what it was,
even though I normally turn my brain off whenever I see games like this,
and I thought it looked pretty cool.
And then PlayStation said, Mike, bring us back to your attention.
They smacked me across the face.
Because John Wick and Sabre Interactive are coming.
It's a AAA John Wick game from Sabre Interactive.
We are working closely with Chad.
Stahelsky.
Thank you.
John Wick, director and franchise visionary.
Keanu Reeves and Lionsgate
to produce a highly anticipated,
adrenaline-fueled experience that fits into the world of John Wick.
This game takes place during a specific period
within the John Wick timeline
and contributes to the expansive and rich lore of the franchise.
Dude.
Come on.
We are up for this.
This was the moment I think of the stream.
I like
I
you hear the dude kind of
mentioning the different
you know the clothing and the
and I hear that baseline
that sort of look and it's like no way
and then I see the hit the slick hair
holy shit
it's the Baba Yaga himself
I
we popped off super exciting
this is great we didn't see
any gameplay I think the only gameplay we saw
were these kind of
quick time
quick events or whatever
like after the initial trailer yeah
I think the thing was we watched this and we're like,
this is insane, this is hype.
And then I think it started to slowly send it's like,
okay,
don't get too excited, right?
Like it's still just a CGI, you know, video here.
Yeah, of course.
And then it was like captured in PlayStation 5 and we immediately were like,
okay, we're back now.
We now see what it's going to actually look like.
I want to see more of like,
I'm in the action.
How am I doing my seafood,
kicking the fucking stool at a dude,
you know, throw in the knife, throwing the gun.
How does all that look when we,
We mainly just saw, like, you know, dude in a headlock getting stabbed in the face,
but this is still insanely excited.
I feel like you guys have more a Sabre interactive experience than I do.
What is like, what are the joints that Sabre have done that should make me excited for then taking
this on?
I mean, of course, you go right immediately to Space Marine 2.
Space Marine 2 is the main one that I think of.
As of recent, they absolutely delivered on that one.
Let me bring up the games list.
I mean, I just have like an awful memory, but like, I'm a big fan of World War Z.
I don't know if it fits this style.
World War Z is one of those games that was actually a very good left for dead type game right there.
I think Saber Interactive goes out and funds really interesting projects with development teams that match that style of game well.
And I think for me that's the only thing that gives me pause.
That is I've just not seen them take on something like this.
Well, they got Jurassic Park Survival.
Here's some upcoming games.
Jurassic Park Survival.
Turok Origins.
Hellrisers Revival.
Toxic Commando.
Road Kings.
Road.
I'll be honest.
Road Kings?
Those are doing the opposite effect that I think you want the movie doing for me.
Busbound?
Kevin,
can I get a shout out to bus bound?
None of those tell me third person.
Yeah,
it's the bus game we played?
None of these tell me,
oh, these guys know how to make a third person action.
I think all you need to know is Space Marine 2.
Pause, boom.
But even, I've played Space Marine too.
But I mean, I guess that's fun as a third person shooter.
But like, for me, that's, I guess I can see that in John.
How about Evil Dead the game?
I think.
Andy was
an A top 10th
I think for this
I want more
in your face
like fast-paced action
not necessarily
the Space Marine 2
like when we first see this
we're like
damn I hope to see
who people are working on this
because like
of course
they know that game feel
I don't know
I guess I haven't experienced
that in Space Marine 2
or like any of these other
space any of these other
same thing that you're Navy
I think I saw
they can do this
I think I saw more than enough
quality in Space Marine 2
to know
whoever's developing this game
is capable of doing
kind of anything that they want
because
of the level of quality bars that were hit,
I don't need to see my Space Marine 2 doing John Wick things
to think that maybe they can do this as well.
Like I think that I just, in this situation,
I trust the artist to be able to do that stuff,
and maybe I don't need to have seen exactly seafood type stuff to know,
but I love Slow Cap to work on this, of course, right?
But I feel like the talent is there.
And it is so funny, you mentioned in the press release,
this is a triple A and it's like they're saying hey quit mentioning double A stuff guys we're going
above and beyond we're putting more budget into it yeah for for the people in chat wondering right
because somebody mentioned is saber they're just publishing saber interactive is like they're
a publisher but they have subsidiaries under them that make games and so there's a bunch of different
sabers right you have saber Armenia Sabre Belarus Sabre London yada yada I'm sure they work in
collaboration with each other but yeah they're a big corporation but they have studios
under them that work in-house.
They're working in tandem with Lionsgate,
which was the only other name that we saw on there.
Quick little rundown.
Our goal is to create a wholly immersive experience
unlike any other in video games,
something that blurs the line between movies and video games,
making it something truly special.
We are creating new, high stakes,
fully interactive mechanics that make players feel like they are
in a John Wick movie by playing the role of the Baba Yaga himself.
The style of fighting will feel like an authentic John Wick action scene
taken straight from the films.
Everything is designed to faithfully mimic the movie experience in a meaningful, fully playable way.
In order to achieve that, we are developing a distinct combat system from the ground up
to ensure we stay credible to the iconic style of John Wick.
So they're about to build something for you, and we will see all those words come out to be true.
The only reason I'm trying to measure expectations is because I want to be realistic about it
and not let my hype take me away.
Because, you know, spoilers for kind of Fudy, I believe it was just this last episode that went live.
One of the questions was, what's a movie franchise that you would love to see a get a video game?
And I think John Wick was the number one answer, right?
This is something that we all absolutely want.
Them saying AAA, you know, I don't associate Savor with AAA.
I think that's the main thing is, for me, this is a step for them.
For me, this is something that they will have to use to prove themselves that they can do this.
I don't think they prove that they can take this on.
And that's actually, no, that's the wrong way to put it.
I don't think they've proven that we can make a top-tier AAA action game.
Okay.
I'm not seen that from them.
I've seen Space Marine 2, which is a great game, but I think this is different.
This is on a different level.
I mean, this is a huge coming-out party for them is right.
And the trailer we saw doesn't give me like super AAA vibes.
It gave me like double A, which is their bag, and it looks great, like a great fantastic
double-A game.
I like that.
I'm definitely more along the lines there too.
Yeah.
In the gameplay clips, it didn't look like the most impressive thing.
Okay.
I think that they've shown, they have my trust off of Space Marine too.
But they have my trust because of that too.
They have my trust of like, you have shown me that you can make a very good double A game
and not even like one that blurs line of almost probably could be considered AAA in most people's
eyes of like, oh, it's just a really good game.
They might not know, you know what I mean?
So like I think they've earned my trust there.
They have a number of projects, as I just read, that we'll be coming out soon that
will kind of show like, where's the money being put?
How do they really work with the development teams?
I brought a Jurassic Park survival game
that we've been very excited for, right?
That is a huge IP to be tied up with once again
and be creating within that sandboxes
just as big, right?
I'm sure.
I think that's just as big actually, yeah.
I'll stand on that.
I think the demand for a Jurassic Park video game
is different from the demand for a John Wick video game.
Of course.
I want to fucking, I want a Jurassic Park video game
is like, I want something good, I want something fun,
I want something cool.
A John Wick game, I want a fucking banger.
I want a fucking sussing.
I want a fucking suss.
Goody Tame.
Yeah, gody contender.
Yeah, let's get fucking tight with this, boys,
because we got to get out of here, ASAP.
We're hitting that 5 o'clock hour.
We are now back into the PlayStation
ending sequence of this, the final couple of games.
Marathon comes out.
They announce their server slam February 26th through March 2nd.
Players worldwide can help stress the test marathon
during the server slam on PlayStation 5 and other platforms.
The server slam takes place from February 26 at 10 a.m.
P.T. to March 2nd.
2026 at 10 a.m. PT.
It will include all of Marathon's supported languages
launching March 5th
unique player weapons with PlayStation Plus
that have weapons charms similar to all your favorite stuff.
Guys, looked awesome.
It looked great, but until we go hands on the sticks,
it's a big make or break for this team.
Of course, they went back.
They said, hey, we got your player feedback.
We're going to take some extra time.
We're going to delay this.
We're going to get out of the way
that is Arc Raiders, the giant of this right now.
Can they get in the way of that?
And we're going to take our time and we're going to try.
And I think I'm excited to see what they got for the drawing board.
How they fixed and changed up this game.
Yeah.
I'm very excited for this thing to come out.
You know, I think this is one we're talking about a post-Arc Raiders society.
This has so much potential to be that live service hit, that PlayStation has been looking for.
And I think it has the stuff as far as presentation.
It has the stuff as far as being easy on the eyes.
And you look at the action as like, damn, this looks fun.
I hope people jump into it,
understanding what it is, and grow to love it.
PlayStation Plus gets announced,
announcement, Spider-Man 2,
Tekin, Dark Resurrection,
time crisis, and a big walk coming to all tiers,
all of those games announced for your PlayStation Plus lineup.
And then Soros, well, really quick,
I'm very excited for a big walk,
super pumped up for that.
Give me a lot of human-fall-flat vibes
with the way the missions worked in there.
Allowing friends to connect,
whether on PC or PlayStation,
I believe this is the team from
Guse Untitled Goose Game.
Yeah.
And like, yeah, this is going to be one of those of like,
we talk about those friend games,
those co-op experiences with your friends.
This is going to be one that's going to lead to a lot of laughter,
some fun puzzle solving, some weird,
just get lost in this world that this team over at Panic
and House House have created.
I'm very excited to see if this can land and be great.
It looks fun.
It's fun.
It's good. Soros.
Digital early access 48 hours early.
Of course, we get in the sea,
more story in your face, as Andy said.
They're going to really make that right in front and center,
and you can get it digitally two days early.
Looks awesome.
Gave me the vibes of being back at like the hub worlds and demon souls or dark souls.
I know that's like, of course, Andy would make a from soft comparison anywhere he can.
But it's just like the idea of like after a run ends, you failed, you're back in your home spot.
And maybe you, those NPCs you met along the way are back and they're sitting there.
oh thank you for
thanks for telling me
to come back here
and you learn more about them
and maybe they sort of like
help solve mysteries about this world
you got me a peach
I got a peach of the fruit
a peach haven't had one of these
in ages
just from the little custom we saw there
I can tell Raulcoly's acting
his act in his asses
I can tell you look so good
I can tell he's locked a fuck in man
he's having a killer spring
Diablo as the warlock
and this this man is riding
it dude shout out to my man over there
Marvel Tocon Fighting Souls
August 6th
announcing the
X-Men Super Force.
Chris Stake will help me.
You have Storm, Magic, Wolverine, and Danger all hitting that line up there.
X-Force or X-T?
It was X-Men something.
Yeah.
It was something different that I've never seen before.
Look cool.
Great additions.
Honestly, Wolverine could maybe could have gotten his own trailer just for the fact that
Wolverine in a Marvel fighting game.
Unbreakable X-Men.
There you go.
Unbreakable X-Men.
Wolverine in a Marvel fighting game, always a big deal.
But yeah, I love this trailer.
It looks fun.
Wolverine especially looks fun to me and so
I can't wait for this game to come out. Oh, we got a date. August 6th.
August 6th.
It's huge. Massive.
Let's go.
And then we end with two God of War announcements.
We have the God of War trilogy remake.
This project is still very early in development.
So we ask you for your patience as it will be a while
before anything else can be shared.
When we come back with an update,
we aim to make it a big one.
I'm guessing probably a stealth drop on that.
one or maybe like within three months.
God of War trilogy? The trilogy remake.
The next time they show it, I think they're going to
say, we're done, here you go.
I don't think they need to show much of that.
I think this will be a bigger deal.
What, are we going to sit there for months looking at old God of War games?
Yeah. I think, I mean, they say
this project's still very early in development. We ask,
so we ask for your patience. I think this is one we might,
did they put a date or you? No, no, nothing at all.
I think it might be a couple years before we see this coming.
Yeah, I think the fact that, the fact that we're
talking remake and not just like,
remaster with new textures or up-res textures and up-res,
you know, unlocked resolution, unlocked frameers.
They're putting the remake on there.
That means like, I don't know if, I don't think they plan on change in perspective.
I think that does too much to the old games.
But like, they're going for something more that's just, you know,
will Roger be able to draft this?
I think so.
I think Roger will be.
In 2027.
I think in 28.
That's a year.
No, no.
I think 28.
Late 2027.
I get the vibe of like, and this is me, this is me in speculation stage.
Tell me.
Tell me.
Like, what's the next god of war?
You know, Corey Barlogue made it sound like God of War Ragnarok is the end of what this era,
what this edition of God of War is.
And so, or this saga.
So if we're not going to see new God of War for a while, I think this is going to take
the place of like, yo, here is a big new God of War release and it is the trilogy.
Like, it is the remake of the trilogy.
I almost, I know it's a different kind of game than like some of the big stuff we've gotten
from the Blue Point remake,
but I'm almost,
that's almost my level of anticipation for what to deliver.
And then we go on to the new game,
a stealth job.
God of War,
Sons of Sparta,
coming from Mega Cat Studios.
We'll talk about that in the moment with that team.
God of War, Sons of Sparta is a 2D action platformer
with a canon story set in Cretos's youth
during his harsh training at the,
Agoggi,
I don't know.
Sorry, I wasn't following along on the script, but I'll see if I can find it.
A-G-O-G-O-G-E.
Oh, I see.
A-G-G-G-G-E.
You know what for Mr.
pronunciation over there?
I'll let you take it.
You're really leaving me.
That's a tough one.
You wouldn't let it.
You wouldn't like Greg Miller.
I'll let you drown out there.
Alongside his brother, Deemios.
It's going to be a good time from the writing team of Sony, Santa Monica, Studio.
That brought you God of War, 2018, and God of War Ragnarock.
I think it's Demos.
Demos.
Thank you.
I wanted to correct you
that
fucking A2
We gotta get the fuck out of it
It is Demios
It's Deemios
But it's spelled here
D EI
D EI
Hold on
Here we go
Hold on
A gogy
A goge
A goge
A goge
Oh
Okay
We're having fun today
It's Demos
Demos
Demos
Nailed in
I got to go
I'll see you guys later.
Sampas is a tale of duty,
Honor Brotherhood from T.C. Carson,
who reprises his role
for the first time in over a decade
as an adult version of Cratos,
our story's narrator.
And I have super chats as well.
Andy Cortez,
who do you think is another voice in this game?
I already got, I spoiled it for me.
You want to tell him right now?
It is the one and only Jack Quaid.
Jack Quaid is in this.
Thank you to Bo,
Bodley K
who dropped that in there.
They dropped a vid
for the cast of Sons of Sparta
and showed an older and a young
Kratos. Pretty interesting. Plus, shout out to
Jack Wade voicing a character.
Very cool. Very exciting stuff.
Andy, Mega Cat Studios.
The team currently known for
Backyard Sports
has a number of
The revival of Backyard Sports
is what Mega Cat Studios is known for.
They have a couple of other games
under their belt, like five nights at Freddy's, into the pit,
gumball, trick and treat land, echoes of the unread and ZPF,
and then, of course, all the backyard sports games.
If they can make a game with action like this,
I think Sabre can make John Wick.
The thing with this, well, this is a weird one,
because I thought initially the rumors were 2.5D
and maybe we're getting like 3D models,
kind of Prince of Persia style.
I think that whole rumor sequence
and us talking about this for months
ruined my vision of this
because I am,
my imagination went a little too wild.
Yeah.
And I had to come back to Earth on this one.
It's a weird one because I like the quality
of the pixel art.
I think it looks pretty,
I don't know if it's necessarily like doing anything
color temperature wise,
which like you probably wouldn't because it's still God of war.
You're going to be dealing with a lot of like
earth tones and fire and stuff.
like that.
And I think if you try to stray too far from that,
then people go, this is a God of War,
what's his colorful bullshit?
But I don't know if like these,
I don't know if this color palette does the art style
a whole lot of favors.
It looks to be a very good quality in terms of how the animations look,
how the combat,
we saw a Superjet saying that they had already.
Volk Dash.
Yeah, Volk Dash.
The God of War 2.5D in the same show as Castlevania
made it feel a little underwhelming,
but playing it now.
it feels real good.
Not revolutionary, but real good.
Yeah, it looks like a super capable game.
I do think that, yeah, after a long time of kind of talking about the leaks and the rumors and all this stuff,
that this wasn't the coolest showing that it could have been.
And I wish we knew nothing about it.
And I think it would have been a lot cooler.
Of course.
100%.
That wraps up your showcase.
We have a lot of super chats.
I'm going to tear through.
Andy, still hype on it, leaving an hour later.
The whole show?
Yeah.
100%.
This was a freaking banger, dude.
This is one that's worth us being on camera for so long.
Oh my God.
This is amazing.
This is when I would run home, call Washburn and say, you have to watch this.
Like, that's how I judge the people.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
When I call my friends.
Barrett Courtney writes in and says, hey, Mike, do you miss me?
Miss your buddy.
Just laying in bed with a fever, but feel great with that God of War pickup, Barrett, evil.
Oh, did he get the...
He picked it up.
Yeah, yeah.
Oh, interesting.
Okay.
Barrett, we love you.
We can't wait to see reviews.
I do miss you at your desk when I usually stare at you and just talk with you about shenanigans.
Jess Hinkle writes in and says, Mike, you totally slayed hosting slash moderating this live reacts.
Great energy and guidance of commentary.
Not surprised, of course.
Great show you guys.
Thank you, Jess, for the kind words.
Thank you.
You know, I'm not going to talk about my best friend who's celebrating his birthday on Monday,
leaving me out on a couple of them.
A gogie.
I don't know either.
My baby?
You have fun with that.
Oh, baby.
This is a dude with a big head.
Mob writes in and says,
just caught up after work.
This was so good with so many surprises.
Fantasy critic moves will be made.
I'm in shock.
This state of play was so good.
Andy,
not thinking about who might have already had draft picks.
What would you draft out of this?
What would you pick up?
Give me a couple while I read the next one.
Oh, my gosh.
Shit.
Well, Barrett already has God of War.
I mean, I would pick Soros if Greg didn't have it.
Yep.
I would, as I look down the list, I would go,
um,
Omena the hollower.
Yeah.
I would start off with fucking,
uh,
goddamn cana.
Yeah,
I would go with Cana.
Mike likes music.
He says,
I thought the god of war,
uh,
SOS,
Sons of Sparta would look more like this,
uh,
Prince of Persia rogue prince and Castlevania Belmont's curse,
but playing it right now.
I actually love this art.
Okay.
Hell yeah.
Okay.
Jerk face, Jake, here's another five for Rogers Fury suit to play in Slice series.
Also, it's a 10 out of 10 showcase for me.
All right, well, we'll put that towards the suit right there.
New Mateo says, did they cover the new Game Freak game?
I hear they spent more money on that one trailer than the last three Pokemon games combined.
Funny jokes right there.
We did talk about that.
The team is on that one.
Looks amazing.
Yo, call me.
Rob says, I wish.
Tim was here. He'd give this S-O-P a 10.
What am I, chop liver? I thought I brought
Tim hype. I brought a 10. I brought a 10. But Tim,
he called. He said he would give it a 10.
Hugo writes in and says,
should Nottie Dog be scared of control resonant? The gameplay looks
awesome. I hope Intergalactic can match and go beyond.
No, not at all.
I think it's coming out. I think it's coming out way too late.
Like, it's going to be a different era.
I'm plenty of time away from it. Yeah.
Let's keep it going.
If anything, they could just learn from it
because I think that game's still like several years away.
Agreed.
You call me Rob.
I played the fourth rate JRP's,
and I ain't heard of that one either.
I don't feel bad.
Exactly.
I saw somebody who echoed my thoughts perfectly
who said,
my video store didn't have that shit.
Yeah, like my video store barely had
the games that they should have had, you know?
The real G writes in and says,
take a shot whenever blessing brings up Jet Force Gemini.
We should probably get a sound bite going on.
It's like, look at me, Louie.
It's like, look at me, Gemini.
Whenever something, he brings that up.
Big Platypus says, not going to lie,
I was fighting back tears for that Metal Gear Solid 4 reveal.
Big deal.
We were really happy about that, is right.
Not so famous James says, hey, Jack Quaid in that new God of War game.
Shout out, shout out.
Reutermo or Routermo says one of the best state of plays ever.
Really high for many games showed,
but I was a bit overwhelmed by the God of War Stuff
and no Final Fantasy 7 remake 3.
It seems like
the internet got a little kind of hyped
from their own hype.
I saw many people telling me
that Maximilianian dude was super
like getting a lot of kind of like buzz
that it was happening here.
And so I think people just kind of like
got even more excited about that.
Well, it feels like this is the year, right?
They talked about it.
I mean, this is the year.
So like at any one of these large scale events,
you're going to be.
going, this is probably the one.
And he would turn to PlayStation and go, this is probably
the one, right? Like, yeah, for sure.
Street Shadow says, New Cana is
with PlayStation Studios. So, likely
exclusive, God of War, John Wick,
Metal Gear Solid 4, and
big play for Marathon with the
Co-Stream with the burnt peanut playing
right now. Oh, wow. And you can play
marathon right now. Okay, holy canoli.
Optimus Prime writes in
and says, 9 out of 10, great pacing.
God of War remakes stoked.
John Wick looked very, looked rough.
I would have loved to see a studio like acid nerves take on God of War instead.
Cool updates, though.
Damn, acid nerve.
Acid nerve.
Yeah, that's a poll right there.
It's right.
Joseph Golden says 9.5 out of 10, awesome state of play.
Have a great day, Jabronis.
Thank you.
Warren 10 says Resident Evil 9 looked great.
And as fans seeing Sherry is awesome, just need 8.
now, John Wick excites me, but curious, what game is it just...
They're saying like...
We only saw...
Yeah, we only saw those, like, the, you know, stabbing in the head.
Of course, yeah.
Brando, or Brandon Bishop says confirming son of Sparta is now on the PlayStation store for $30.
Happy with that?
Yeah.
Yeah, that sounds about right.
You.
Gerald of Rivia,
including the danger room
as a playable character on Tokon
over someone like Gambit is insane work.
That makes sense as to why,
okay,
that makes a lot more sense.
I mean,
you're going to get Gamby.
You're going to get these,
your brother.
Yeah.
It's a rollout plan.
They have to bring you back
with the big names later.
Oh, great.
Or else they're giving you else a bloodstone.
Or else they're going to turn up
with the danger room and you're going to go,
who?
Yeah.
You're going to be like,
why the fuck would I go back to Tokon?
on, yeah. Nick W. says it's a 9 out of 10
Middle Gear Solid 4, Kana, God of War
Trilogy, Silent Hill Townfall are games
that I'm super excited for. Hell yeah,
my friend. No
Coms
says John Wick by Sabre
looked so good. Sabre knows
how to fully realize franchises like
Warhammer 40K. Hell yeah.
Matt Buckley says it's an easy
9.5 out of 10. Great stuff, but
don't sleep on smaller announcements like
Motion Twin and Evil Empire. That
concludes all of our super chats.
everybody thank you all so much for rocking with me
