What's up and welcome to your second kind of funny games cast for Wednesday, September 24th,
2025. Of course, I'm your host, Tim Getty's. I'm joined today by blessing at a yoia Jr.
Good day, Tim. Snowbike, Mike. Hi, Tim. Too tight Wolverine.
Sure, too tight Wolverine thing. That was close. And Andy Cortez. Hello, everybody.
They paid off, Greg. How do you feel? Kind of rob because I did think it would be a much funnier
bit to get to the post show and I've shaved my beard and dressed like a moron for Wolverine.
There was no Wolverine game.
But then in the honor, great reaction.
Great reaction.
It was the excitement of finally seeing the game, but then also it not being for nothing.
Yes.
Because when I go to my son's school tomorrow for show and tell and I have to bring coal,
those kids know that I don't look like this.
They're going to say, oh, I dressed up for a Wolverine game.
Are you going to do the hair?
What's your plan at this point?
I'm going to grow.
First off, it's hard to tell everybody because I look like your abusive alcoholic set father right now.
But when I'm in my normal clothes and my hair is normal, this beard thing works.
Like the beard thing Andy gave me here works, the Wolverine.
So I'm just going to let it keep rocking them.
When Greg took a, like, I wish I recorded his reaction.
He looked at the mirror and was like, oh my God, I love this.
Yeah.
I'm excited to see.
I love it too, Tim.
Yeah.
I love this.
I'll come into work every day if you're looking like that.
I love it, man.
You look great.
That's my guy.
This is the kind of funny games cast, everybody.
Each every weekday, we get together to talk about the biggest reviews,

Gregway, today's was Greg unboxing the ghost of Yote PS5?
It came in so late that we were getting ready
for the borderland stream, so it's out there.
And I imagine this is going to go so late,
you'll get a Gregway that's me driving to go pick up Ben from school,
and I'll say something else in tomorrow, unboxing.
Gotcha.
But hey, Gregway's a plenty, everyone.
For a chance to be part of this show, though,
submit your YouTube superchats.
What did you think of that state of play?
Is there anything that you're bummed wasn't there?
Is there anything there that you're super stoked about?
Please let us know.
A little housekeeping for you.
We're an 11-person business all about live talk shows today.
We had so much stuff.
We had a Games Daily talking about Final Fantasy Tactics reviews.
We had a games cast.
There was our Hades 2 review.
We did a Borderlands 4 stream.
And now we just did our live reaction.
And now we're breaking everything down.
Thank you to our Patreon producers.
Carl Jacobs will make a buster and Delaney the Somm-twining.
today we're brought to you by shady race and factor but we'll tell you about that later let's get to
the topic of the show state of play let's talk about it bless yes i want to start with you what
you think um i thought that was really good i thought it was a really fun time i think you know in predicting
what's going to happen at the state of play i think we're mainly on the three things on of all right
we're going to see sorrows we know that for sure what are those five minutes going to look like are
they going to deliver with that i think with that they did you then get into the conversation of all right
they also mentioned third parties and indies and then also promise a few more PlayStation Studios
things uh when we get into the Wolverine fucking awesome right i think that was absolutely great
that absolutely delivered i think there's a strong middle part that didn't deliver for me here you
know i think after sorrows getting into the rest of it as we're approaching the what 30 minute
35 minute mark i was kind of worried as far as man i've not been wowed since like sorrows right
like there are things here and there that are speaking to me like zero parades looks cool but we knew
about that already. Hell yeah, for flight sim
coming through. Neo3, getting
a date there, I think that's cool. But this wasn't
the most exciting state of play. I think Wolverine
really did a good job of actually coming through and saving
the state of play. But overall, I feel good about it. I enjoyed my time
here. Mike? Well, said, Bless. Yeah,
I had a really good time with this one, Tim.
And the big takeaway from me, kind of to piggyback
off of what Bless said, because I really agree with that,
is dates. Dates, dates. This is one of the few times
where I've walked away from one of these going,
wow, that is a lot of dates, though.
at me, and we are really jam-packing
that front half of 2026
right before May when GTA
comes out. And then we had a couple outliers
on the far, the fall side.
But man, I was really impressed with
now knowing I got a good roadmap
of a lot of games coming my way
here with PlayStation and, of course, beyond.
But yeah, as Blessing said,
there was a moment in the middle where I was like,
ooh, this is leaning towards like
a good, but I think Wolverine really
picked that up for me to land more of like,
this was a great state of play. I had a really
good time. Some standout ones.
Chrono script, I think, spoke to
us really well of like, wow, that was a
different looking game right there.
I like the look at that. Microsoft Flight Sim
is one that I love. Battlefield
campaign footage was special. We are
very close to Battlefield 6.
Not much campaign stuff has really
come out unless you're thick into it.
And so that was really cool to see that.
Halloween from Ilfonic, I have a
special spot for Elphonic games.
And like, I love playing games. This is a real
return to form. This is a special one.
We didn't need killer clowns from outer space.
You took a gamble on an IP.
Turns out nobody knew or cared about it.
At least I think that's true.
I don't know if anybody ever played it.
It's time to get back to what's right.
They got fucked by Friday of 13th.
That was a long time ago, obviously.
But then the rights for Friday 13th is getting all tied up in it.
They did Ghostbusters, but not enough of you heathens want to play a Ghostbusters game.
This looks like a return to form.
Even I will get to it when we do the rundown.
I put a couple paragraphs in the press release about what a civilians doing versus a Michael
Myers, which I think is going to elevate that game.
play. And just to finish it off,
Dynasty Warriors, Tim. It's the
year of Dynasty Warriors, and
I am happy as can be. That's all I got.
Greg. Hey, how are you, Tim?
Good. How are you? I'm good. Real good,
actually, obviously. I'm with, I think
their blessing, nailed it
as well, where
this is a state of play that started strong with
Saros, right? And then I think I was very much like,
oof, this might even be
not even, should this have been an email, that kind of
garbage comment, you know what I mean? Where I'm like,
Obviously us hanging around and being clowns with you, the kind of funny best friends is always fun.
It always makes these things go.
But as you start to look through this, it's just like there were a lot of things that didn't speak to me.
A lot of things that I didn't think were that exciting of announcements.
All right.
Yeah, I fight some.
Okay, cool.
Yeah.
The zero parades is cool.
But again,
I already wasn't a disco person.
This didn't look like it's going to change it where I was with that.
DisX remastered when they were like, here's what the original looked like.
And here's what they're new.
The new one also looks like dog shit.
But I understand you're just remastering an old game.
Like I understand what we're doing.
but that doesn't jump off the page is,
oh, I got to go do that.
Halloween, I'm excited for it because I like
Halloween, a date that's nearly a year away,
was an odd move, was an odd move
for when I was like, I saw the nine
September pop up, like, holy shit, oh, wait, no,
next year, whatever. And so there's a bunch of that
going on here, but of course, you got
Saras at the front to wow you and then you got
Wolverine to deliver. And again,
a meaty look at Wolverine, which I appreciate,
right, where it was, here's the trailer
and then let's give you a window,
let's give you the conversation with the voice
Let's give you a conversation with Marcus.
Let's talk a bit about this game that's been installed for so long.
So that was all great.
But I think if you added it all up and talked about what we just did,
I'd probably be,
I mean,
I can give you by the end of it if you want.
When we go game by game,
I'm somewhere between a 5-5 mediocre and a 6-0K.
Wow.
I think we had a really strong start and a really strong end.
And then in the middle I would have,
if I was at home watching this,
I would have been on my phone for a lot of it.
Yeah, Andy.
I mean, yeah, same as everybody else has mentioned.
Started off.
You got a claw.
Started off 10 out of 10.
Ended off, ended 10 out of 10.
The middle was probably around a 6 or so.
So that averages, you know, I don't know how Tim's interview rankings would do the math there.
Well, we would need to exactly agree.
And then whatever Tim wants is what we're going to do.
Exactly.
This is why we're the call.
Oh, boy.
We got that.
Cut you up.
Yeah. I would put it around.
I put around an eight.
I would say it.
because there was still some stuff in the middle that I thought, you know, was interesting.
Like Mike had mentioned that a inkbound game.
Cronoscript.
Hopefully they changed the name to it.
That would be awesome if they changed the inkbound.
I mean, there was enough in the middle that I didn't really give a damn about,
but it was cool seeing Battlefield Six campaign stuff.
And again, everything having a date, especially something like Crimson Desert,
which we're really looking forward to.
That having a date is really awesome.
and yeah, I thought Wolverine looked
freaking great and Soros looked amazing
and for
any of the concerns of
this just looks like Returnal, like that's
all I wanted, I'm as happy as to be.
I just wanted another Returnal sequel
and when, like I mentioned during the showcase
when Housemark
confirmed they were not doing a sequel to Returnal,
I was really sad. I was like, fuck man,
I really want more of that and this looks to be
more with a different character
in a different world and it's a completely
standalone thing, but it is the Returnal Game
play that we love that is the reason
why that game is one of the best shooters
of all times. As soon as I saw the running animation
I was like, thank God. Yeah. It's just Returnal
because they started it and it's the Raulhold just walking and I was like,
all right, is this going to be more of a grounded? Pleas-Station
and they zoomed out a lot. Then you see
him start running. I'm like, that's a running animation I want.
Yeah, please. Run exactly
like Celine from Returnal. The jump, side
dashes, all that stuff looks freaking great.
Timothy, I want to know your ranking
since you were blown away by me saying a five or six.
Oh, I mean, I think that like Wolverine and Software
us alone and everything else in the middle being like an offensive. I don't think anything like really
wasted my time. And yeah, a lot of stuff's not for me, but it gave me what I'm always asking for,
which is the amount of dates for things like Crimson Desert getting a date. Like that's something
that's crazy. It's crazy. And we wanted it to get it. Um, yeah, Battlefield 6 getting a look at the
campaign. That's something that Mike wanted to see Microsoft flight simulator. We didn't know that.
Kind of expected it was going to happen at some point. But it happened here. Like a lot of stuff that's like,
it's cool, whatever. But yeah, bookending it with two big deals.
PlayStation Studio titles that obviously all of us are excited for.
And I feel like the PlayStation audience is going to be stoked.
The speaker hardware announcement,
I always love weird out of left field hardware stuff from PlayStation.
Like I'd give this an eight.
Like I feel like this is about as good as a state of play can be.
Like when the state of play brings the heavy hitter PlayStation Studio titles,
I'm like, cool, whatever you do around it,
you know our eyes are here for the big things.
And if you deliver on that, like, I'm going to be okay.
It might have been higher if I didn't know Soros was going to be here.
I mean, yeah, for sure.
And if Soros did show up and looked
and was a different style of video game
and maybe looked bad,
you know,
I'd be a bit more bummed out.
But I got exactly what I wanted out of Saras and Wolverine.
I think I just needed a middle highlight.
I needed something in the middle to bring us up.
I think one more or either first party or a big title.
Do you think Ghost would have been that?
Because you guys brought up earlier.
Like,
Ghost is kind of that third one.
But for me,
it's like we've seen ghosts.
We know ghosts right around the quarter.
But would that...
Surprising that there's no just even a reminder.
Even with Sid and Sean being like,
Don't forget, of course, next week, first party's delivering with ghosts.
Yeah, I mean, it's funny because, like, I feel like had Ghost of Yote legends been announced here,
that would have been a great middle piece for sure.
It's just like, where'd they announce that?
GamesCon, I think.
Yeah.
I think, cool, but like, it was just those little things for pacing and for like really making this,
like, a standout special presentation.
But go for it, Andy.
I think more of a wild thing is it's getting harder and hard to distinguish what a showcase is and what a state of play is.
because this is yet another state of play that I think delivered awesome stuff from first parties.
And, you know, I know that way of thinking is so much older because we've had a lot of recent Bangor state of plays that have had, you know, first party stuff and other large releases that are coming out.
But I look at this and I'm like, you know, you have Insomniax next big game, which always sell.
And it's just a naming thing at this point, who gives a shit, whether it's a show show.
or not, but this felt like
something coming out from Soros and
Insomniac, that felt like showcase
worthy, but maybe I'm just looking too much.
I feel like the showcase brand is dead for now.
Like, I think at any moment it can come back.
I feel like the next showcase you'd get
would be a PlayStation 6.
Let's make it that big of a deal.
Yeah, but even then, though, it's like, I don't know that
by that point they'll have the stuff.
Like, they might call it a showcase, but
it'll never be as good as the PS5 showcase.
That was a time in place of studios
all lining up with the titles that
they had, we're never going to, it's impossible to have that again because we're getting intergalactic.
We're going to, I imagine, get Sony Santa Monica's game on PS5, right?
Like not PS6.
So they just won't be ready to have those back to back.
You think so?
I do.
I feel like we're getting down to the wire a little bit, right?
Like not that they're getting the PS6 like next year or whatever, but we're in 2025.
PS5 launched in 2020.
I'm expecting, what, in two years, two and a half years we see a PlayStation 6?
I mean, I think that we see the announcement of Tony Santa Monica's thing.
before then, right? I can see that, yeah. Yeah, not a guarantee. Cross-gen release. Definitely.
Yeah, I would say. With how they've been doing skews recently, you know? Yeah.
All right, I want to get into... Still no Demon Souls on PC. It's crazy. Oh, no Phantom Blade Zero.
Oh, yeah. Maybe TGS somewhere they'll just announce something because like, you keep saying,
what have they said about Phantom Blade Zero? We are going to announce the release year this year.
That's solid. Yeah. I love that. This will be the year that you hear the year.
of our release.
The year you hear the year.
We are going to,
I'm going to start breaking down
everything right now.
Barrett. Kevin?
Kevin.
Start off with Saros.
So fucking cool.
March 20th, 20, 26.
I think that to me is the big takeaway.
We got a date.
We have something to look forward to.
I think that's awesome.
That's not necessarily something
that I thought that they would do.
But it looks awesome.
Looks amazing.
it's, you know, adding a bill,
I mean, it may as well just be a re-skinned version of Returnal
and I'm so happy about it.
I'll be interested about that.
Because yes, that's, it might as well be,
but even tossing in the second chance they're talking about, right,
of like you can get knocked once in a fight and get back up,
I wonder how many of the quote-unquote lessons,
but feedback everybody gave on Returnal,
which an amazing video game,
but for so many people were the,
I think was way more successful for PlayStation than they thought,
way more successful problem than Housemark thought.
And to get that feedback from a more mainstream
or a bigger PlayStation audience that was,
man, this can be challenging and
I wonder what they're going to do in terms of
accessibility, in terms of difficulty, in terms of all this stuff.
And even watching this, for me,
somebody who got overwhelmed a lot in Returnal,
I thought this looked more manageable.
There was a point in time where
when Returnal launched that,
like if your game crashed, you just didn't have progress, right?
Yes.
Or you couldn't stop mid-run.
You couldn't stop mid-run.
And I forget what the rest mode situation.
was, but they then added in like a suspend mode for a returnal.
I thought this looked amazing.
I mean, I echo what Andy's talking about, right, as far as it, feeling like a
returnal re-skinned, but in a very positive way, I look at this and it's like, okay,
all the elements that I love about that game seem like they're feeding into this game,
even the particle effects and dodging everything, right?
Like, I love that type of shit in video games.
I think plenty of people do.
And I do love that.
Housemark, their DNA is in the more arcady, fast-paced experience.
and I think they balance out the first party
line up well when you're talking about the single player
stuff because you have the grounded
like the single player
I guess slower-paced games
when you talk about a ghost
or a last was or
a lot of what you get out of the first party
but here you have pure arcade goodness
and that's what I want. I love
seeing this and yeah this looks
fucking dope. It already
you know the OG Returnal looked
fantastic and it ran great and it was one of those
stand-out PS5 launch games that you look at and say like,
holy shit, this is what the PS5 is doing.
I see the power sets.
I see the visuals.
Yeah, the rain, all that stuff felt so next gen.
And what's exciting about this is it's a follow-up on one of my favorite games ever,
but it's also a super talented dev team with five more years of under their belt of like with
this hardware.
How can we continue to push this and make things?
better and have more enemies on the screen and having the PS5 pro enhancement is like that's all
I need to hear. I'm super stoked. Yeah. And like just like the sense of progression seeming to be a bit
more baked in like kind of what Greg was talking about. But even just even more direct story beats and
like direct plot stuff, which like Returnal had. But like I like that this seems as a bit more just like
it reminds me a lot. Andy, we've been talking about Hollow Night to Silk Song where, you know,
Silk Song having Hornet speak. I feel adds so much to just like the sense.
of it of understanding what's going on and this seems like we're getting more than we did in Returnal, which I like.
Yeah, I mean, I'm over on the PlayStation blog right now where they have their Sorrows coverage up and they have a breakout called storytelling in Carcoso.
Carcosa.
Thank you.
We also wanted to highlight how we are expanding our storytelling in Soros, along with grinded voiceover, stunning cinematics, haunting audio logs and conversations with our ensemble cast of NPCs already, right?
They're talking, I mean, you can see how much more they're adding to this than what Returnal did, which obviously had a story.
You're quite interesting and thrilling one, right?
But this is going to be, I think, a way more cinematic and digestible.
I'm really anything reading through that, and they call that out and think,
but now that we're talking about on a show, maybe you didn't watch this.
One of the other things they call out, right?
Let's talk about Arjun Rahul here's unique abilities.
Firstly, we have this Wotari Shield activated by holding R1.
And Saras, you can run into the hostile projectiles,
absorbing their energy to defend yourself.
Again, I'll be interested to see how much of that is.
All right, we understand bullet hell isn't for everybody.
Let's see if we can give this a way that you can,
enjoy it. Yeah, I'm really interested in the comeback stronger tagline. I know we're talking about
the progression stuff, but, you know, we just reviewed Hades too. And one of the things that we talked
about was the fact that it feels like between every run, there are like major, major things that
feel like, oh man, okay, now I got to focus on this. Oh, man, okay, now, you know, after I've done just
one more run, I feel like I have different carrots on the stick that I need to chase after. And I feel
like for Rogelites, especially one that is emphasizing comeback stronger, that feels like
the natural progression as far as like, all right, what do we want to add to this thing?
Let's make it so that when you're going back for the next run, it feels like a different game.
Let me give you a paragraph on that.
The final element we highlight is the second chance ability.
On death, Arjun has the ability, once discovered, to use the eclipse corruption energy to rise back on his first death.
This is one small part of the permanent progression systems we have added in Sorrows,
which will allow you to always come back stronger after each death.
These systems include the ability to upgrade your Sultari advanced combat suit and abilities of each
choose to, again, talking about, you know, this
permanent progression system, right?
Damn, you're, you all are resing?
That's just for pussies, dude.
Wow! You're so lame if you're
a resing, man.
Damn, you, the P-word.
You shocked me with that.
Wow.
Holy shit.
You shocked me.
That's crazy.
Wow.
I've been in my Instagram.
We're a Call of Duty lobby.
I've been in my Instagram comments too much, right?
Holy cow.
I can't wait to go hands on the sticks
with this one.
That's one of this is like,
The game looks good, showing it.
But, like, when you're playing it, this is one of the best around.
It's so much fun.
And I'm hoping, Tim, little fingers crossed behind the back, six to 12 months for now.
They're like, hey, guess what?
We've got a co-op mode.
Because I had a time of a lifetime with Andy playing, you know, returnal co-op.
Like, that was so much fun.
So I'll cross my fingers later on in the future.
I can't wait to have my eyes just burning like crazy.
This is one of those games that's just like, it reminds me in my time with Kirby Air Riders,
where it's just there's a lot of colors on the screen.
a lot of fast action.
You're constantly just going into the motion's insane and like it really really kind of
fucked up my eyes.
A lot of different looking environments in this one that I liked in this trailer.
Returnal had like what?
I guess I won't spoil the exact number, but they had a number of environments that I can
count on almost one hand.
This seemed like it had a lot of varied locations.
I don't want to say I fully disagree, but I was a little like, oh, this is very orange
game.
And then towards the end, towards the end, like I feel like, I feel like,
there was a lot of colors breaking up the orange and I'm like, okay, cool, that's not actually a problem.
But like, there was a while. I was like, this is like overwhelmingly orange.
But, which I think is just like harder to look at than Returnal, which was a lot more of that like
green, blue, green like the vibe going on. But yeah, they change all that stuff up.
Carcosa, the Yellow King. And I only know about it from True Detective. But that's what it's all like,
it's all based on these books that came out, these short stories like over 100 something years ago.
and if you all watch
Shoot Detectives Season 1, it all has to do with sort of
these supernatural, but he's yellow.
And that's why the fucking guy has like that crown
and shit, you know? What you're laughing about?
I just love that you're bringing like a very unique
Well, they said Carcosa
and I was like, oh shit, they're doing it. A very unique perspective.
I didn't know you're a big Carcosa guy.
He's like, well, it's the god of yellow.
I also, I just, I need to say this. I know we should just move on.
But like, Andy's saying the P word
is only less funny
than bless calling it the P word.
We don't hear that often on the show, you know.
Moving on.
The zeros parades for dead spies.
Zero parades for dead spies.
Come on.
We're back.
The Zahum game, 2026.
It's a narrative.
First, espionage, RPG, steeped paranoia, surrealism, and a struggle for redemption.
Bless, what do you think?
I mean, Disco Elysium, Andy, I'm still, you got to get to Disco Elysium for how much you love citizen sleeper.
It's such a good fucking video game.
And the more I see the trailer.
for this one, the more I'm like, okay, cool, they're restoring the feeling. Like, the feeling is coming back here.
It's still a weird one because Zalum has been through turmoil as far as like the inner workings
of the studio. And so it's one where I'm like, should I be excited? I don't know what the
situation is. But a lot of the people that worked on the first Disco Elysium game still work there, right?
And you look at this and it's like, oh, yes, a lot of the talent is still there, especially in the
art. I think this game looks absolutely incredible. I think it looks like a step forward from
Disco Elysium as far as what the visuals are doing. And yeah, like I think seeing things like the
dice rolls feels like it's leading more even more in into like the RPG tabletop style stuff
that they're bringing to it and so I'm excited for this game yeah I always wanted to get into
disco Elysium and it never happened for me and I think it was just a place in time kind of thing so
I'd be hopeful that yeah this you know is still there I like this idea what they showed there
of these you know it's going to be different every time you play and all these different permutations
obviously that always speaks to me it's just that CRPG nature that is always like uh it's not my jam
I'm already not looking forward to like getting into this game and everybody being like, man, you're playing this but not disco Elysian.
I'm sorry.
So I like to pre-apologize for that.
Mike, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 coming on December 8th.
Very cool.
With PSVR2 support coming free update next year.
Get your headset on.
But take to the stuff.
Blow the dust off and get him out of the Tupper way.
We got shoved in over there.
Kevin had a lot recently.
Nah, that was a quest.
That was a quest.
He probably had the VR box.
Oh, okay.
That's what I mean.
Yeah.
Flight Sim is really, really well done.
2024 edition has a lot of fun stuff.
They added the activities was the big push of actually doing things that are just not just takeoff landing, right?
They have a lot more going on in this, which is great.
One of the best around out there.
Cool to see a lot of Xbox games coming over to PlayStation like we've talked about in recent months.
And this is an all-timer from that team.
So, yeah, if you're injured Microsoft Flight Sim, you want to try it.
This is the one for you.
Mike, I'm going to stick with you a little bit here,
of Battlefield 6, the campaign coming October 10, 2025.
Had us for a moment, Tim.
You know, had us for a moment where we all held our breath, like, oh, shit, is this so calm?
And like, you imagine.
You know, one day.
One day, we'll all hope for that.
It'll never happen.
But awesome to see Battlefield.
This is a game that everyone has been very high on from the betas.
I've been excited since I saw it down with EA.
I laughed as someone wrote it.
I can't believe we're getting excited for more Crimson Desert and Battlefield after we've
seen it so many times.
But this is one of like, you haven't seen much of the campaign.
And we are days away from this dropping.
And that is a big piece of this, right?
We talk about the campaign.
We talk about Battlefield Portal.
We talk about multiplayer.
You've seen multiplayer.
We've seen some promises in Portal,
but we haven't seen Portal true to life.
And that won't happen until day one into month one and beyond with user-created content.
And a big one is these Battlefield campaigns,
can they bring it back?
Can they bring back the fun?
of the battlefield mercenaries that everybody loves and holds in such high regards.
Can they bring back the cool vignettes that we saw in Battlefield 1 and 5?
There was one battlefield that didn't even have a campaign, right?
So it's like, do they have the stuff that tell a really good war story, a really good campaign?
We know that the gameplay is super fun, the all-out destruction is awesome.
But is this going to be one where, like we walked away last year,
we're called duty found their stride.
We're doing something a little bit different with their campaign.
And we were like, yo, this is a good one.
You got to play it.
Can EA and Battlefield figure that out and make this happen?
It looked cool.
I am a little worried.
I didn't have that feeling quite yet.
But when we figure it out, we'll see what happens when we play it.
Bless, I know you were surprisingly into the Battlefield beta, right?
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
Does the idea of a Battlefield campaign after that experience gets you interested?
I mean, not any more than like a Call-Duty campaign.
I'm typically not like a military campaign.
first-register
person.
That said,
I will be hearing
from Mike Howard
as far as what his
thoughts are.
If he's like,
you got to play this,
then I'll think about it.
Oh,
I'll think about it.
Andy,
I cut you off there a little bit.
I was just going to,
it was going to be,
you know,
private military corporations,
like,
whenever that's in action games,
it's like,
oh, cool.
Yeah.
What was the saying from yesterday?
What's the tagline?
Here comes the feeling.
Here comes the feeling.
I think about that all the time.
Me too.
I think I'm like,
here comes that feeling,
dude.
I haven't added a whole of my hair last.
I was like, yeah.
They fucking nailed it.
I might get that tattoo.
It's so good.
Next up we had DeiSex remastered, Aspires working on it.
This is coming on February 5th, 2026.
Another to add to the pile of classic games being remade that look very ugly, but it's like,
you know what?
Roger's going to draft it anyway.
It's the game upresed and like I'm happy that these things exist because I think that
although they're not like the prettiest things, I do like that they keep the
actual art style of the original game.
Yeah.
If I was someone who was interested in this, is this the jumping in point?
You know, that's a good question.
You know what I mean?
Like, as someone who's gone back, I've played Half Life this year, right?
I've been playing a bunch of older titles and I've always been interested in
DeusX.
Like, what is the one?
Yeah, this has got to be the Idas Montreal ones, right?
It's got to be the, I mean, this is the classic one, right?
Really?
I think so.
Oh, yeah.
Like, if you're a DeusX fan, I'm somebody who,
I love Human Revolution and I love Mankind divided.
Deus X fans will tell you that the original ones are like the pure ones.
In fact, they will tell you that Deus X,
human revolution kind of ruined things a little bit.
That said, right?
Like, as far as I understand, this is a game you want to play on PC.
And maybe the chat of people online can help me a little bit out on that one.
But it just seems like it's the kind of game that has just a lot going on as far as like
the buttons that it wants to you to press and like the items that it wants to you to use.
That you might want to play this one on PC.
I'm sure there's,
there have been some upgrades there for like quality of use on controller and so or yeah i would
hope that they wouldn't if people tell me that like yo this is the one that i first i'm i'm way more
likely to play this on console than i am to like go back to the original pc version um before
we move on with the rest of the games announced today here's a quick word from our sponsors

I'm sorry I said the P word, guys.
We talked off air.
Can't say that.
Andy, say this C-word now, you know?
Good Lord.
Oh, Kevin.
Come on.
Not the bad C-word you think.
I didn't mean cut.
I didn't mean cut.
Kevin likes the other one.
Kevin likes the other one.
He likes what I say it.
God, weird.
Oh, let's talk about Halloween the game.
This is from Ilphonic and Gunn coming hilariously, September 8th, 2026.
Survivor slay across the 10th streets and dark corners of Haddonfield in this asymmetrical horror
sandbox.
Greg, what do you think?
Can't wait.
As I said, like, you know, we were big Friday 13 fans here.
We played so much of that.
We were big Predator Hunting Grounds fans.
Oh, man.
We played a ton of that.
I was a big Ghostbusters fan, and I made a lot of you play.
Spirits Unleashed. Killer's Clown didn't do it for us. This is, I think, Elphonic getting back to
doing what they do best and doing it with an IP they can actually work with that isn't just
bogged down in lawsuits galore like Friday the 13th. So coming into something that's excited and basically,
yeah, redoing Friday the 13th, but with Michael Myers, fuck yeah, let's get in there. I'll be
interesting to the combinations. Obviously Friday 13th was so many different Jasons. Who could you be?
I'll be interested in what they do with Mike Myers who
you know
kind of changes his look but doesn't
there's a lot of Mike Myers
it's always the inside out
zombies homeless version yeah but I'm
but I'm even saying like you know like the okay
this is a Halloween whatever number whereas
his jumpsuit looked a little bit different
like it's not there aren't that many Mike Myers
variations like there were with Jason
Voorhees or whatever I am uh
I like to admit something right now
because this is the P word
it's a safe space yeah
the safe space
I
I thought that this was the same, like, IP as...
You thought this was Friday the 13th.
I thought, like, so when somebody said this is just Friday the 13th, I was like...
Oh, yeah?
Well, yeah, like...
But then you mentioning Michael, I was like, oh, my God, Jason is a different guy with a
different mask.
Dude, I, for my whole life...
It's been troubling me my whole life.
Like, if you, at any point ask me which one is the Halloween one and which one is the
Friday one, I'd be like, ah.
The Friday one.
Damn.
The fucking Friday one.
Chris Tucker.
It's a great one where
it was some news program
I want to say ABC
but when they had Jamie Lee Curtis on there
and the guy's like
totally bites it
and it's just like
well you know you have a history
of fighting people in hockey masks
so like what are you
what was that?
What was that?
Yeah,
but working with an IP
that's not bogged down
and like IP hell
I'm like what
wait how is that not?
Okay.
Okay we're on the same page now.
Yeah I mean the description right
they have this
as a civilian protect the townsfolk
by guiding them to safety,
scavenging for weapons and supplies,
and finding a phone to call the police before it's too late.
Danger lurks around every corner,
and survival depends on strategy,
teamwork and quick thinking.
Meanwhile, Michael Myers stalks the shadows
using terrifying abilities like shape, jump,
to move unseen across the map
and strike without warning in a heart-pounding experience.
It sounds so much like Friday 13th,
but again, let's fucking go.
Friday 13th was great.
It was held back by the fact that they built that thing
off a Kickstarter, not expecting it to be big.
Hopefully they're expecting better stuff here.
The servers are better,
I can run around and make my phone calls and collect all my different things.
And the prox chat of like, oh, God, it's over here.
The music.
You know, they're going to do the same thing where the music keys up as he's close to you.
I think that, obviously, Friday the 13th had so much going for it.
But there's just a lot of iconography stuff of Halloween that I think fits this type of very well.
Like even the like small neighborhood and like going in houses and like room to room kind of like having the different places to hide, which I know Friday the 13th had some of.
But I think it's more core to this experience where it's Friday 13th, obviously Crystal Lake.
Friday 13th you were always at the camps
camp's right where this is like invading your
neighborhood yeah yeah yeah and it's a good rock
did night brown elm street
does that get looped into this with you as well
no I know that's Kruger that's Freddy okay
yeah Frederick Cougar I think
you guys need to watch Freddy versus Jason
don't watch any of these other movies yeah that's
is that before or after Jason X
after Jason X is crazy
he was in space yeah
one of the kills is he freaking freezes
like uses like cryo free shit to freeze somebody
and smashes them and their head explodes
That's awesome.
I feel like I've seen on a moral comment.
It's so fucking cool.
Moving on to Last Epoch.
That's right.
The critically acclaimed action RPG last epochs bringing in transformative skill
trees deterministic crafting.
Deterministic crafting.
Get the fuck out of here.
Community driven development of PlayStation 5.
Tim hates games, man.
Fuck you.
Fuck you.
You get out of you.
Deterministic casting.
What the fuck, crap.
Get out of here.
There's five classes.
Cool.
This is a beloved action RPG in the vein of Diablo that has been killing it on PC forever.
You go over to Steam right now.
You know, it's English reviews are very positive with nearly 57,000 people having put in a review.
It set the world on fire in the ARPG thing.
It's one of the games that made people look at Diablo 4 and go like, oh my God, this isn't what we want.
This is what we want.
So to see this come to PlayStation finally to move out of, correct me if I'm wrong, I saw Zanth, of course, our ARPG expert was in the chat earlier.
this is still in this is a full release on place or on a on a on a PC or is it
I don't I'm not familiar to that level right now because it's in my steam library or
whatever what's the other really big a RPG and you're gonna yeah Xbox one no no no it's the
other one that I also Pat pillars of attorney POT P OE 2 yeah B OE 2 no no I'm not
thinking of that one okay good one wait the Amazon one or I cut down the trees no that's
that's a different thing all together anyways this is a big deal for it to finally pop over to
console and be over here and have people ready to go play.
I've played it before. It is very enjoyable.
I will be playing this when it comes out on PlayStation.
Tyler Vick's all. You all know the chat.
I said, I said PEOE too.
Yeah, but like, but you already had pillars of return you in my head.
You're right. I'm so sorry. You're right. I'm so sorry. You're right.
It's okay, man. We're two guys are two claws. We're just two calls guy.
We use them to tear up to him, right? Say something mean about Tim.
I don't like Andy against me. That doesn't happen.
The Seven Deadly Sins origin coming January 28th, 2026. It's an open world anime,
a RPG set in the universe of the seven deadly sins.
Step in the role of Prince Tristan of Lions
and explore an open world Britannia.
Nobody, nobody look at the Twitch chats.
Everybody look at each other.
Look at each other right now.
We all down the line, name a seven deadly sin.
Okay, ready?
Oh, no, go down the line.
Which side?
Gluttony.
Greed.
Lust.
Dice.
Rath.
Shazam.
Five, David.
It's Tim's starting to get out of that.
How did each one of those?
Yeah, we failed.
The game ends there because I couldn't name anymore.
What the fuck out of the other one?
Oh, envy and hunger.
Hunger is not one.
Hunger?
You can have hunger.
Oh, that's gluttony.
Horny.
Pride, I think, is one.
Yeah, pride is one.
Oh, really?
How many is that?
Sloth.
Sloth.
Sloth.
Sloth.
A animal.
This looks, whatever.
This sucks.
then we had sonic racing cross worlds
Mega Man's here making my music
Dr. Wiley course Rush car
Protoman
Fuck yeah
Just like yes yes yes all it's great
Did we know this already
This is leaked
We didn't know this but the streets
If you're on the redness that I'm on we knew it all
Yeah that's why I'm like I definitely knew that Megamann was in this already
But like they treated this like it was an announcement
But hey cool announcement regardless of weeks or otherwise
Like love to see this and I just like
love we're seeing Mega Man at all and I love that they're still using this design me too like we're
just in such a great spot um cool will this bring you back at all I'm already back yeah I never yeah
I've not left yet never left these streets yeah I'm on the streets the streets of Mega Man and Sonic
um Greg you send something to assets for seven deadly I did you're right just look at the
bazaongas on this lady they put in the key art you know what I mean we're not objectifying her I'm calling
other fact that that is the key art
they fucking decided to make for this.
Yeah.
Is she a giant woman?
I mean, and then she's a giant woman
and they made her bend over the town bridge.
Bless call it with lust.
That is one.
Yeah, that is one of them.
Titties the other.
Neo3 come in February 6,
2026.
I think me and Andy are going to get into this one.
This is the one.
I think this is the one. There's never been a better time.
I think this is, dude,
Like, we've, I guess I didn't put in a whole lot of time into the PS4, PS5 exclusive game that Greg loved.
Oh, yes.
I did not love it.
He loved it.
I know what it is.
Rise of the Ronan.
This guy doesn't shut up about it.
He loves it.
Yeah, he really looked down and put it this way.
Gileo.
Oh, man.
Greg's whispering in 80s here.
Yeah, I got you.
Gotcha.
Elevate it.
How you doing, Tim?
The thing is I always end up playing, I play, I feel like the yearly releases from Team Ninja.
But we always, I feel like we always choose the wrong ones, which is everyone that's not Neo.
Yeah.
That is very funny.
That is a friend.
Neo 2 came out so long ago that I wasn't even into Souls games at the time.
And it wasn't until WOLONG that was the first one from Team Ninja and Koi Tecmo that was, it was a great game with,
like great combat, but everything else just always,
everything else aside from the combat,
always falls flat for me in their titles,
where you always just wish that they had another year and a half to two years
to put more love into everything else because the combat feels great,
parrying feels awesome,
weapons like maneuver the way they should or the way you would hope that they would,
and then everything around is just so sauceless.
And I will hop into this for sure because Neo is like the one that everybody loves.
If I can say something controversial,
oh, please.
Instead of Rise the Ronan, I wish they made another Stranger of Paradise instead.
Give me Stranger Paradise too instead of a fucking...
Changer of Paradise.
Long and fucking Rise their Ronan.
Because that had a sauce to it.
It was a weird flavored sauce.
From Joe respected that time.
That was a funny-ass video game.
That went from like meme to by the end of me finishing you're going like, whoa, they're doing some cool shit.
Yeah, I'm like, this is like a capital VG video game right here.
Chaos.
Mike, Destiny Warriors 3 complete remastered March 19th next year.
We're getting the year of Dynasty Warriors.
Years next year too.
Are you kidding me?
Let's keep this energy going.
This is one that I definitely rented from Blockbuster before.
Like when I think of like, oh, I have played Dynasty Warriors.
It must have been three.
Because is three like one of the big ones?
Yeah, I remember two very well.
I just think back to the Target demo kiosk right where you crank your neck up.
And I would just be playing as much Doniast.
as I could while my mom shop.
So, yeah, those are, I remember two,
one and two very well for me.
Kids don't know how good they got it today.
Because you walk by the Target aisles,
I mean, first off, it's all really sad because it's just printed out box arts.
Nobody cut, but they got demo stations their height.
It wasn't like it.
They don't get it.
Looking at NFL fever with Peyton Manning.
Chuck in the pigskin.
Codevane two come in January 30th, 2020.
Your code vein.
I bet you think this game is about you.
Don't you?
So it was between this and Neo 3 for you, Andy, and you chose Neo 3.
Oh, shit.
Oh, he chose this.
And he chose this.
Yeah.
Well, now you're saying you're choosing Neo 3.
Yeah, I kind of forgot I made that.
Wait, they're the same date?
No.
No.
January 30th and February 6th.
Oh, yeah.
That's enough time.
That's enough time.
That's enough time.
Yeah.
Okay.
You know, I never played the first one.
It's always one that I was interested in because I did really,
enjoy
I
you can call me
like you know
simple as hell
but I like
these
sort of next gen looks
at what anime
can be
I just like
the the art styles
that they have
that doesn't always
look great
but more often than I
I think it translates
in a cool way
and when Mike mentions
Scarlet Nexus
that's another game
I love the way
that it looked
visually
but
I didn't get to
try to the first one
I don't remember
why
may have been a very similar Neo1, Neo2 thing where I just wasn't playing games of that style at the time.
Like, I always get recommended the surge and the surge too.
Yeah, this looks, you know, like I would at least have to give it a shot as, you know, somebody who plays a lot of games like these.
Those are big, Vince.
I was laughing at a chat.
Those are big.
Charlie in chat says Chodevain, question mark.
I'll let that sit.
We let that slide.
I'll let that slit.
Then we got a really weird
Fall and Fancy Tactic C release Chronicles bit,
which I get the game's coming soon.
I guess this is around TGS,
but like games coming out in six days and whatever.
It's here, cool,
but there was no news there, right?
Nothing?
All right.
Yeah.
Be excited about it.
For a second I thought it was going to transition
to like Final Fanez seven.
I mean, well,
nine remake is the,
at this point, like what,
one of the only things from the Nvidia leak that isn't real?
like we haven't heard of.
So weird.
Let it die inferno.
Man.
Yeah.
Let it die.
The original one was such a weird as video game because it got announced, I think,
at a PlayStation, what's the thing they used to do?
The PlayStation.
PSX?
PSX.
Yeah, I believe that was a PSX joint that then got like released very quickly after.
She was obsessed with it.
Yeah.
She played it all the time.
And it came out and it was like kind of Soulslike,
kind of like arcade
combat, brutal,
free to play as well.
And I remember playing and being like,
oh, this is weirdly fun and I love the energy
and I like Suda 51 and Grasshopper
and what they do. And so it has like a style
and an edge to it that I really dig.
They then followed it up with Let It Die.
I can't remember the name of the spinoff, but it was like
a multiplayer, almost battle royale style
game that came out a few years ago.
This is their latest entry.
And they described
it in the thing as PVPVE.
which is not really what I want from this,
but also I'm at the point where I'm like,
I don't even know what I'm,
what I want from this.
I never thought let it die would.
I never thought I'd get this again.
I never thought I'd get this far.
Do I want more?
Yeah, I'm like,
I honestly,
I'm like,
let it die.
Let the IP die.
Like,
this isn't something that I think needs to keep coming around,
but it seems like they keep being inspired with it.
And if they're going to do weird shit,
I'm totally down for weird shit.
I just hope it hits this time.
Yeah,
what does PVPVE really look like.
Deathverse is the what is an extraction game?
What is this going to be?
I mean, if you mentioned the first game was very battle royaleish,
like I assume it's what a lot of modern battle battle royals do
where there are other teams and other people you're fighting,
but there are in worlds, you know, hazards and enemies
that'll try to kill you.
And if you kill those enemies, then they drop badass loot,
but everybody else gets made aware.
Remember we were playing fucking Hunt Showdown?
Hunch Showdown, man.
We go back to that.
You really tried bargaining with that guy and I kill you.
They said extraction apparently in the thing.
There's going to be 12 kids that are going to be really good at this game,
and you're going to hate playing it.
I'll promise you that.
Next up, we had my Secret Delight, Chronoscript, The Endless End.
Hey, that looks good.
It looks really, really good.
Yeah.
You chapsed in a book.
You get to, like, pop around.
The one thing is, like, the movement didn't look great.
Setting, vibes, story, cool across the board.
It's kind of an eyesore, but in a way that I'm into.
I think that they can go into the slider and tone down by 10% the lines.
Like, I think it can be a very noisy, busy-looking game.
And it's almost like you can almost just lose where your player character is, it seems like.
But the concept is awesome.
And we've seen a lot of games do similar stuff.
And it's one of these things where you go, why haven't there been more of these style of games?
But yeah, it looks awesome as hell.
I love when game developers can get really creative with the medium.
Yeah.
Can't wait to see more.
Crimson Desert coming.
Can't believe we've got a date.
I know. March 19th.
The game that does everything.
The game that is everything.
This is the game we saw that trailer for.
Like, how is it doing everything?
It's every game in one game.
And this trailer shows stuff we haven't seen.
Exactly.
That weird meck flying thing is like, what hell's happening here?
Do you think it hits March 19, 2026?
No.
I just felt,
why?
I think the game's incredibly ambitious.
And I think ambition like that takes time.
I can't wait to play this.
I want to see if they nail it.
but even am I crazy?
I saw somebody in the chat
when we were watching this trailer
I go, this looks awesome.
I think it looks awesome
content wise.
Visually I'm not like
stunned by it.
I think some of it looks really noisy
and not like high quality HD.
Not that that matters again
when you're doing fucking everything
when I'm flying through the air
but I'm also fighting a mech
but I'm also, I don't know
what the hell's going on.
Yeah, there's a lot of,
I think visually it
can suffer in some spots
because it's trying to do
all of the global
illumination, ray tracing, all that stuff.
And because that stuff's hard to run
at 60 frames per second, it
will do its sort of
rescaling either with DLSS or
with AMD's FSR.
And then that rescale version might
look a little noisy because it's trying to
just do a lot and trying to upkeep
that frame rate. But
yes, Greg is right when like
this game is
doing everything
in ways that you don't
really believe until you
actually play it and the level of depth combat wise here i was when when i talked about my
presence with it i think this game is going to pop the hell off on social media with just the
amount of things that can happen with the randomness with the physics and people posting clips
of like this fucking thing at this building fell on a bad guy when i was taking them on like i
didn't even know that that could happen this game is just kind of like the the freedom
the physics and the way that all of the elements intertwine with each other.
And I always bring up the example, but if you're, you know, you get locked in a sort of gated
area. And if you light the, the wooden door on fire, the wooden door will eventually turn
to a charred state, which then it becomes easier to break through.
Awesome.
Because you can't break through just normal with a sword or whatever.
And, but like the stuff is doing combat wise, it's going to be like the most, I think,
mechanically deep action RPG ever.
With what they're doing with,
like it feels like a fighting game in some ways.
When they were taught,
I've seen Twitter clips talking about like,
yeah, you can,
you can jump cancel this move.
Like, what?
Why are we using those terms in an action RPG?
But it's like,
it's going that deep with the amount of things
that can happen where I think like,
triangle and circle was an RKO,
but forward and triangle and circle was you picking up an enemy
and tossing them.
And then you can't talk.
enemies that are too large, but the smaller ones will also take damage from hitting other enemies or walls or whatever.
It's like everything is being taken into account.
And this game is going to be super stunning, but it's one of those where you go, how expensive does my PC need to be?
But when I played it, it was like crazy smooth and it ran great.
And I was very surprised by that.
Next up, we had the Pulse Elevate Wireless Desktop Speakers.
All we got was this is coming in 2026.
the two big things I want to know, what's the price?
And are they Bluetooth compatible?
Is there some weird bullshit?
Are they just going to let these things be real speakers?
They had a press release forward, right?
Yeah, the blog post is up.
That's a great question.
They're treating them like everything else.
So yes, you mean Bluetooth compatible that?
I think they did show in the trailer.
So I can answer the question.
You mean Bluetooth like talking to your phone?
Yeah.
Yeah, that's totally fine.
Yeah, they show that to be at the end of the trailer.
Good.
Because I kind of want this.
I'm like, I guess I
don't have the immediate need, but like I'm weirdly, like, I'm a lot of my, a lot of the stuff I use are
the Pulse brand. And so I have, I have two explores. And I also have like the big over the
ear, uh, pulse headphones that they got. And I like, I love them when they work. I hate them
when they don't work, which is a whole thing, right? But like, when they work and I have it connected
to my Bluetooth and I'm listening to my game and my music at the same time, I kind of fuck with it
because one, all my shit has the same aesthetic, but then two, they are fairly,
quality and I like that functionality.
When I look at the speakers, I'm like,
I kind of like it. I don't know.
I like the visuals of it.
I like the idea of having that connect to
my PCs and just functioning as that.
And then also I wonder,
did they show these working with the PS5 as well?
Oh, then yes. I absolutely want to use it.
These are, as somebody who solely uses,
yeah, with the portal of the earbuds,
which are the Explorer,
and then on my desk and downstairs at home,
the elite
whatever they're
the whatever
the new elite ones
that are all this
pulse thing
I love these fucking things
and so these are
just speakers
that run the exact same way
as those
yeah
so yeah you can sync
them to multiple
of the tabs
and put them in
they're all easy
they all do the damn
oh my god
this is completely
me then like
certainly much more
prefer than TV speakers
my setup is so
I guess unique
and I'm sure
plenty of people have
this right
but I am when I'm playing
on my PlayStation
I'm playing at my desk
on my monitor at home
and so I don't have
speakers hooked up to it
and so like
this would solve
so many issues
for me
as far as good
Always headphones in.
I'm always headphones in on my PlayStation.
Yeah.
And the other amazing thing about these is, I don't know if you guys remember,
but the Sony recently in the last like two years acquired a very, very high-end audio
company that really focuses on the plan or magnetic side of things, which is like very,
in the same way that we talk about like Hall Effect sticks for controllers just being like,
we need that.
That's kind of where we're at with a lot of the sound stuff.
I forget what the name of the company was.
But I mean, I love them.
Like they're they're like on the high high end what I totally swear by.
So they're using the right tech.
I'm hopeful for this, but I need to, uh, I want to see the price for sure.
I'm going to get audio.
Audie is the company?
AUDE.
Oh, yes.
Audiz.
Yes.
Audizzi.
Yes.
Audit.
Oh, he's nuts.
Um, amazing.
Amazing.
Amazing.
On PS Plus games, we got Alan Wake 2, Kaccoon and Goat Simulator 3 coming in October.
On last of a stay, September 26.
T-LU-2 is coming.
includes the remastered for PS5 to the PS Plus game catalog
and the classics are Tech and 3, Soul Calibur 3, and Tomb Raider anniversary.
Cool, fun little collection.
Yeah, all great stuff.
Then there was a little Grand Turismo section here,
100 million units sold since debut.
Grand Turismo, a spec, or just spec 3 update,
is coming on December 25th, Joey's birthday.
Oh.
You get new shit.
No, I think it's just December 20, like December this year.
It's my note you're reading.
Got it.
Yeah, December 25th.
Sorry.
Then God of War
20th anniversary
controller
coming in
you can pre-order it
on October 3rd
launching October 23rd
celebrating God of War
20th anniversary
look nice
a white controller
with the Kratos
red, cool
sure, yeah
weird
inoffensive
yeah
you gotta have the light red
though
like I do
you gotta figure that out
then
then the big one
Wolverine
like America to me
you know
like you gotta have
no blue there
you know
fair enough
keep it Kratos
Wolverine
fall 2026
Liam McIntyre is Wolverine himself.
You're Logan.
We saw Omega Red.
We saw Mystique.
There's a Sentinel at the end of this thing.
We're seeing more in spring,
2026.
So does that mean we're not seen in a game awards?
Which I feel like we kind of thought we might.
But that ain't spring.
Yeah, I think you probably aren't seen the game awards.
I think this was their big reveal for it.
This trailer's going to be watched a gazillion times.
It's got all the information out there.
At best, maybe you get Liam McIntyre out there to give an award a game
awards from the upcoming thing.
And maybe you get a,
look at an extended gameplay sequence or something.
But I read that as, yeah,
they're going to have a bigger thing in spring
that will be a deep dive into.
Here we go.
Here's skill trees.
Here's mechanics.
Yeah, I honestly,
maybe this is too much,
right?
But I read it more as like a state of play
that is Wolverine specific.
That's what I hope for too.
But I think even the timing gets weird with that
is I want to do is,
I would not do a Wolverine dedicated state of play in spring
and have it come out and fall.
Summer, sure.
I think that you would just switch it to summer
and do a Wolverine one in there.
Yeah, it is funny because like,
Fuck yeah, this looks awesome.
I think one of the biggest questions we had is,
is it going to be rated M?
Is it going to be as hardcore bloody as we'd want it to be?
The answer is yes.
That's awesome.
We're now in that very dangerous territory.
And like Greg talking about a state of play that early
could make this an even bigger problem for me.
But I want to see more.
I want to know more characters.
But at the same time, I don't.
You know, when we saw the Sinister 6 in the E3 trailer for Spider-Man,
it's like we didn't need that.
You know, so it is a weird place to be.
be where it's like I want them to show me so much more but I'm scared I lean on that they will I
would be surprised actually to not see this at game awards even if it is like a minute trailer two
minute trailer it is the right now you just started the road to wolverine you need to be very
active in your marketing for this game not that Wolverine doesn't have like the cashier
whatever but it is for all intents purposes it's a new series right it's a new like you are
introduced in the world to something new from insomniac here and I think because of that I would
lean more towards show as much as you can get
get people excited, get people hype for it.
I think on top of that, too, you talk about that.
You also can't miss Comic-Con.
For being a fall release in 2026, you're going to have a great Comic-Con
panel there where they can bring Lee and bring Marcus, bring whoever else their panel is
of whatever, have Eric up there, hopefully have me host it for it.
And then, yeah, really get into the weeds of what you're doing.
Yeah, I said this during it, but I love that we're seeing them in the classic costume.
This definitely could have just been more of like a Logan game.
I know it's called Wolverine, but that, that,
gives me hope that we might see X-Men.
We might see the mansion. We might see that type of stuff that would be very fucking cool.
Mystique is like shit, man.
Weird.
Yeah.
I am a little like, all right, he's just killing a bunch of these like cyborg-y, android-y things.
Like, what's going on?
I think for me, when I look at that, it's the idea that we need a high body count.
Yeah.
And we cannot have a million NPCs.
So these are people who gave themselves up for the evildoers to be cyborgs and so.
they all look one of the seven cyborgs,
which I'm fine for. I just want to tear shit
up. Yeah. And that's what
you seem to be doing. I'll be interested in upgrades
and moves and what you're unlocking and going for,
but like, let's go.
And the variety of where
you are, looking like we're in Japan, being
in Magic Board, they call that out right? Yeah, exactly.
When he's running on top of that roof, do you think that's
like a set piece moment, or do you think a lot of the
traversal is going to look
look like that? Like, I'm curious on what the overall struck.
I think the run in this. I'm wondering
if we're going to get, like, more open levels or
The way to here to there, it kind of strikes me
as like the uncharted Jeep kind of thing,
where this is a specific thing,
we're doing something specific here.
That doesn't look, that looks like player controlled to me.
Oh, it's player controlled, but I mean, I don't know,
is it open zone where you are on top of rooftop?
Or is the chase scene.
Somebody's run, we're going after them.
Yeah, that looks very much like a sort of chase,
you know, if you stop moving,
the music keeps going, but you can't go left and right.
Yeah, you need to keep pushing forward kind of thing.
I like the destructible environments around that
that kind of highlighted that.
Give it a little bit more feel to the world.
The blood tech they highlighted, right?
Like this absolutely delivered.
This rocks.
I can't wait to see more.
There's so much to talk about here.
Because, like, I want to ask the question also,
how many X-Men is too much X-Men?
But that then leads into the conversation
of where Insomniac might go post-Wolverine
to lead into a possible X-Men video game.
I think you might get,
outside of like, the villains in the Rogues Gals
or whatever.
I think in terms of the X-Men
you see in this game
in a like a actual capacity,
one, maybe two.
Storm.
I bet we have an area where,
yeah,
midway through the game,
we end up on someone's doorstep
that needs to help us
and we do a thing with them
and then go our separate way.
I think you get like one,
like one scene that is Easter reggie
but that like heavily hints of like,
hey, the door is open.
Sure.
I mean,
the door is open here.
Looking at this and like,
who's the fuck knows,
the white kid in the queen's and you're like,
oh shit.
Basketball kid.
God, we're so broken.
But this being Wolverine, the game,
like the one big set piece that I would die to see
is Wolverine versus Hulk.
Like, they could pull that off
with how violent this looks.
It's like, oh, man, that would be awesome.
You imagine?
Yeah, my thing is, I bet that ends up being a sequel thing.
I was going to say, you could title a sequel that.
Yeah.
That'd be sick.
Yeah.
Any final thoughts, boys.
Wolverine is awesome.
Soros looks awesome.
Games are cool.
A lot of fun games out there, folks.
games are freaking cool.
And if you're a PlayStation fan,
remember tomorrow,
we're reviewing Ghost of Yote
on the kind of funny games game schedule.
I can't believe that's tomorrow.
That's wild.
Can't wait to hear what you'll have to say.
Thank you all for hanging out with us.
Today's been a fun one.
We'll be back tomorrow.
Ghost of Yote review,
bunch of other fun stuff.
Until the next time.
Goodbye.
I wouldn't mark out for basketball.
