What's up, everybody,
and welcome in to an episode
of Kind of Funny Gamescast Plays
for the week of April 15th.
I believe so.
Well, I mean, the week was April 12th
because that's Sunday.
Well, that'd give it.
But today's a 15th.
It's great to be back with you.
It's great to see you, Mike.
We are back together.
We are going to kick off this Gamescast Play's episode
with a very special one.
We're playing replaced from Sad Cat Studios.
Andy, we've been waiting on this one for a while.
Had some delays.
Some stop and go.
Yeah, yeah.
A demo now is officially.
been released to the world for a price tag of $20.
Demo's still out if you still have questions about it.
Myself and Tim have played through about 10%
Mike 90% of this video game.
You didn't finish it last night.
I thought I was gonna.
Okay.
But then I got deep.
I got deep.
I got a new phone.
And so now I'm doing,
I was going back and forth on the phone stuff.
I thought I would play it this morning before this and be like,
hey, let's finish it.
I only have 90 minutes left.
I did not.
The phone thing is taking out my life.
Yesterday when it was Troy, when Troy Baker was on the, you know, kind of invaded the show and he was going to be on gamescast.
And then he was on the kind of funny podcast.
And we kind of knew when they get going, it's like when you have, it's when your thios are in the backyard and they're a piece diomed, they're drinking some beers or whatever.
And it's like, they're going to be out there until 4 a.m.
You made the right call.
It was like, Troy Baker's going to be here for a while.
I don't think we're going to get to our gamescast plays.
They're probably still going to do gamescast later, though.
And then you said, we're switching schedule.
I'm going to get my phone.
And all of us were so proud of you.
And I walked into Verizon, Andy.
Now, this is the games cast plays.
Right.
This is when we get a little editorial.
We really dive deep into this.
And I want to, right?
I reviewed this yesterday.
I gave it my score 6.5 to a 7.
I said it was a lowercase good experience.
I think there's some things that this had frustrating parts on.
But overall, the world, the story, the combat, all good.
I think people are going to really like this, right?
And we saw that from the reviews being more positive than Mike.
But I do have to tell a story.
Because I told you.
I'm not getting a new phone.
I'm not selling my energy and my soul to Verizon.
Right? Because I'm on the super plan that your grandfathered into since 2002 where it's like,
I'm tied to Verizon for the rest of my life.
Right.
And people like, Mike, you can just buy the phone.
It's like, no.
Like I'm so dedicated to Verizon that they have a piece of me now.
And so once every five years, you make the pilgrimage to the Verizon store, you pay your dues, and you get a new phone.
It's been more than five years.
And so, pandemic really.
I went in there and I walk in at 2.15, Andy, and there's only one person being helped and three total employees in the building.
And I'm like, oh, snap, I've come at the perfect time.
No one's here.
I'm about to be helped.
Two kids in front of me.
One guy greeting at the door.
Guy at the door says, what's up what you're here for?
I said, hey, man, I like to upgrade my phone.
I'm ready to rock and roll.
one guy helping, the other guy standing behind him,
nodding, looking like he's ready to go.
What does he do?
Stand up, immediately walks out to the back.
Sick.
Kid in front of me goes, well, I'm just the door guy,
so I'm going to put you on the list.
They got money for door guys.
Oh, yeah, that's been their thing for quite some times.
They do door guys now where they put you on a list.
That's been happening for years, maybe decades now.
Like the long driving line at it.
Yes, because it's so difficult to, like, see people walk in
and keep mental track of whose neck.
Then they had to have a door guy, right?
And so the door guy goes, I'll put you on the list.
We'll help you whenever someone's ready.
Kid from the back now walks out, leaves the building.
He's now clocked out.
Lunchtime.
This guy is awkwardly looking at me.
And I'm just looking at him.
I'm going, okay.
And then five minutes go by.
Ten minutes go by.
I go, well, shit, I better take a seat.
Guy at the door, he now walks to the back as well.
So it's me, a customer, and an employee work.
with him just sitting there dead silent like okay solid this is going right now
a lot experience kid from the door comes back 15 minutes later now mind you it's been 25
minutes since I've walked into the store he returns to the doorpost no one in the
store he's just man in the door with an iPad me alone and a guy helping out another customer
so I'm like all right this is fantastic a second employee not the one that walked out another
employee walks out from the back he walks out the front door walks back in back to the back
clearly sees me sitting there okay we have four employees in this building one is working
one's holding down the door and one could be at lunch the other one is just in the back room
you know this is fantastic 25 minutes it's like a buffalo wild now it's in the 35 minutes a
lady walks in with her child it's a grandmother she's pissed she's got to return she wants to return
it they're giving her the left right center she's not getting any help
She's yelling at the door guy.
She's yelling, but she's also like, hey, I know it's not you,
but I got to get it out.
I'm like, let it out, lady.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
And he's like, here's the deal.
We got a line.
You can sit over there.
So instead of helping her with the refund,
that probably would be super bad,
he made the old lady sit down too.
So now she's locking eyes with me,
and she can clearly see,
I've been sitting there for 45 minutes doing nothing.
She's about to do the same thing.
Well, you need a manager override for a refund.
That's a pain.
Yeah.
So the door guy now is sitting inside with me and this lady behind him
One guy working with the customer one guy in the back room the other guy now walks in with the Chipotle order
Walks right to the back room ignores all of us right I'm like he's on his lunch break nobody no big no bigie Tony no biggie Tony
55 minutes goes by it's now we're an hour I'm questioning all of my life choice
I'm like fucking Danny told me to go get the goddamn new phone
I told you could order it I told I was gonna get the new phone and I said I said okay my kids
the deal. Because you know me, selfish lover. I'm like, I'm gonna let, I'm gonna, if they say Mike,
it's time, I'm like, help the old lady out first. I've already committed an hour. What's another 20
minutes? You know what I mean? Help this old lady out first. Got silence still. Guys work in the door.
Another couple comes in. We now have four people in line. Only one person working, two guys in the back,
one guy at the door. It's been 90 minutes. It's 3.30 now. Door guy decides, you know what?
I'm finally ready to work.
Walks up to me.
Hey, I'll be the guy to help you.
You know what?
I got this.
I had to be,
he had to build it.
Yeah, okay.
Let's do this.
Yeah.
He didn't have the confidence
to do it.
But you got your phone.
I got the new phone.
Came back home.
Mike was looking at the website.
He was looking at the Chrome browser.
And again,
this is a kind of funny gamescast players.
Welcome to everybody.
This is also an audio product.
So some people do listen just audio,
which is great because it's kind of just a podcast.
This is a story.
And Mike is looking at it.
And he goes, all right, but Roger and Andy, I should get the Galaxy 26.
Should I?
Which, because that's a, this is more expensive.
That's the better phone.
And I said, Mike, if you went Android, you would hate it, be frustrated with it, and you would never let me and Roger hear the end of it.
Never would like.
Never.
I want you to know, I touched it too.
And like, you know, they got the similar stuff.
I mean, they're awesome phones.
I was like, I don't know what's happening here.
Yeah.
And Blessing was like, oh, you should have gone with the galaxy.
I was like, no.
No.
he shouldn't have because Mike would have been so mad and would have
Dick to the Lakes and Andy or let me and Roger know all about the frustrations.
So I got a new phone all night switching passwords flipping it all out.
Yeah.
You know what I mean?
Happy as can be.
So I missed out.
I'm playing more replaced.
But today we're going to play replaced you and I.
Yeah.
I'm excited to start for the very, very first time, Mike.
Sadcat Studios, $20.
Demos out right now so you can check it out.
6.5 out of seven or 6.5 to 7 for me.
I think it's good.
A lot of positive reviews, though.
So go check it out if you like.
You ready to play?
Yeah.
Let's play it.
And because, again, audio product, and this is a game with dialogue,
this is going to be an audio drama.
Oh, you're going to read stuff.
Me and Mike will be reading.
You will as well.
Well, hopefully you can read it.
You didn't read your glasses.
The first thing you did was sit down and look at the modern.
You said, that chat's too small.
I can't see that.
I say it every single time.
I'm just trying to better the team.
And you have glasses.
Well, you know what?
I want new glasses.
Oh, God. Did not wear those two?
I want new glasses now.
You don't need two pairs that you won't wear.
I saw Sidney Goodman do cool glasses for the Mario movie.
Oh, that was awesome.
And I was like, you know what?
I want new glasses.
That was good.
So I've decided I'm getting new glasses.
That was good.
When?
We'll figure that out.
Let's get started, everybody.
Somebody told me to play on hard.
Really? Who told you that?
Somebody in chat I saw.
Oh, I crank it up.
I will say normal is fine.
Normal is like easy to not that much, like kind of brain dead.
You're just kind of doing the motion.
Yeah.
Maybe make it hard.
Let's see.
Let's go hard.
Let's see it.
I think that would be fun.
Why not?
Still not sure this is like.
Yes, this is live.
We're alive right now.
Who said that?
Well, because people are saying, weren't you supposed to be the doctor today?
Oh, so I went to doctor appointment one of two.
One of two.
Turns out my second one was tomorrow.
Fucked up with the schedule.
My bad.
But turns out, I get to be here today.
Yeah.
Which I was supposed to.
No, I wasn't supposed to.
Tomorrow you're like fully out.
Yeah, yeah.
Tomorrow I go.
All right.
Here we go, audio listeners.
Replaced Phoenix.
This is an automatically generated warning.
The operator's work time has been exceeded by seven hours.
This is an automatically executed command.
Switching R-E-A-C-H from background mode.
Do the name is Reach.
This is an automatically executed command.
Accessing camera feed.
I just love the look of all the,
I love.
This is you, A.
I just love cassette futurism.
That's what they call it.
It's like it's not futuristic.
It's near futuristic vibes.
It's like a mess of the future.
It's Blade Runner, it's movies that were made in the 80s.
Alien, you know, they call it cassette futurism.
I like that.
I like everything's very analog.
The NASA punk that Starfield was used.
I like that term as well.
But yeah, you're so right.
It's like, yeah, we were still in the 80s.
What do we think the future would be?
This is it right here.
Warren Marsh.
An additional hour of overtime has been logged, Warren.
This is Reach speaking.
Thanks for the sixth reminder, Reach.
You're going to be reached, Mike.
Your brain activity is unstable.
I'll rest when I'm dead.
Continue analyzing.
Let's see what we have here.
Donor matching.
Oh, that's right, because this game is all about
you are an AI inside of the body of a human.
Yes, you will see what happens here.
But you're gonna see some mega corporations
doing some really shunethical things.
Yeah.
Rolf C. Hurd is the donor profile.
Blood type zero, oh, negative, sorry.
Target donation, blood, bone marrow, eye transplant.
Warren says, Rolf Hurd, 21 years old, a disposal.
Yet another repeated usage from Phoenix City.
Make a note of request an additional
beyond the wall ready to acquire this one.
Oh, that's the beyond the computer over there.
beyond the wall. You're in the big seat. Do you see them? Yeah. Yeah. I can't tell what my head is,
though. He's sitting forward looking directly at us. Yeah. So like you're in the mega chair
with like something maybe over your face. Oh, okay. Oh, that's what it is. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Emotional receptors are unstable is what it said. Close friend passed away. Oh, that's why
I'm unstable. Someone important to me and to you. Just a bit upset, that's all.
Humans are neither important nor unimportant to me, Warren.
That's how we built you, I suppose.
Anyway, you wouldn't understand.
Let's continue.
I wish I could like make the text go faster.
It's interesting, yeah, there's moments where I want that to happen,
and there's moments where it just kind of goes on its own.
I'm like, okay, let me read it my place.
You are unstable Warren.
There we go.
Reach, I'm fine.
Now back to work.
So this is October 3rd.
29, 1984.
I'm just seeing that.
I'm, oh, yeah.
I am ceasing all operations for today.
That's not how it works, Rich.
You do as I tell you.
He's smashing the table.
Pissed.
You answer to me, I created you,
and you will do as I,
explosion, my things are going bad.
High BPM.
That was like you and deaf shining.
That, I mean, that's me all the time.
The doctor will tell me about it tomorrow.
Okay.
I'm sure that will be high on his list to talk about.
That's you and you.
When you wake up in the middle of the night.
You ever think about clogged arteries?
Constantly, yeah.
Really, I never thought about it.
You know what I mean?
Not something to have my life.
Really?
But it'll be interesting to see, like, can he see that?
You would think that the person that lives near the beach worries about tsunamis.
Oh, okay, okay.
You would think the guy at the end of that line would think clogged arteries.
Yeah.
No, I've never thought about it, you know?
Yeah, no, it's a very, it's, yeah.
How would you know?
It's a very scary thing.
You don't know until it's time, right?
Yeah.
Is there pre-warning to that?
I mean, I think there are a lot of signs.
Warren.
EKG.
Oh, my last EKG came very good though.
KG?
KG.
When I went to the hospital, everything was in the green.
This is impossible.
Blood work is, yeah, that's why I did my blood work.
Blood work was good as well.
I'm extracting positive things.
We must fix this immediately.
Man, this looks amazing.
Whoa.
Gorgeous visuals, awesome fire.
And it's the depth of field for me that makes this game look so awesome.
Yes, that's what I've always enjoyed.
The neuro helmet is out of reach due to the fire.
Survival probability is low in this location.
Warren, we must leave.
I love that, you know, games like Planet of Lana, Silk Song.
I really love when they really nailed the depth of field
and they got stuff going on in the forefront, in the back as well.
Just constant things for you to look.
escaping this danger should be our priority.
You're killing it.
You ever think a voice acting?
Get ready.
You and I are going to switch here in a minute.
I didn't like this.
The ball ball.
No, A, being red, because I'm so used to A being green.
When it was that, I was like, oh, B.
Gotcha.
And it's like, oh, shit, Mike, look a little bit fucking closer.
It's clearly an A.
Help me.
This person is beyond help.
We should ensure your survival first, Warren.
You are a special important.
Damn, all right, see you later, dude.
Yeah, reach knows.
Like, nobody else really matters here in this giant complex.
Yeah, he doesn't care about humans.
He doesn't care about people suffering.
Good Lord.
I don't like how they move in the camera.
They do that a lot.
It's pretty sick.
Your body is hard to control.
Warren, we should proceed carefully.
I'm not having any difficult movement.
I don't know what he's talking about.
I'm just moving forward.
One of the elevators is still operational.
We will use it to move.
safe to the safer location.
What if I move for and just look for something else?
Oaf asks, why is Reach in control?
You'll find out in just a moment here.
If you were watching, Warren had something strapped to his head.
He was working with Reach.
Maybe some sort of thing just took place right there.
And maybe you're seeing a situation happening right now.
The machine kind of went, hey, why?
Yeah.
It is quieter here.
Sounds, sense, lights.
Great, little diversity.
Thank you.
Very AI sounding.
How do humans tolerate so much external information?
A little C3PO almost.
Thank you.
Thank you.
I'm trying to channel my inner robots that I really look up to.
There should be another neural terminal.
We will find it and reverse what happened.
There you go right there.
That's kind of your tease of like,
hey, now it's really real.
Maybe reach is inside of Warren.
Is there still Warren?
Yeah.
There is Warren.
Does Warren actually exist?
Yeah.
What are you looking at?
I was going to see if there's like a don't wait for the, like, don't wait for the dialogue.
Let me just push forward.
I don't think there is.
Yeah, I was looking for that.
I was looking for a number of things and there was not.
It's very, very basic stuff here.
Yeah.
Sure.
I never did the simplified font like Tim said.
I kind of, I just liked the look of what was going on in the world.
He only liked it for Steam deck, granted.
Okay.
Because it was harder to see on the Steam deck.
Yeah, I played on my Rogel.
alive for the couple hours, but that was about it.
That's you.
We're experiencing some minor technical issues.
Please stay calm and seek help from your nearest damage control service employee.
Thanks for understanding.
Have a great day?
Have you seen that one dude who does a really good, like Stephen Hawking voice?
Oh.
By breathing in while he's talking.
Okay.
And it's very, very hard to do it.
It's like something I would love to try, but it's like, he's like, hello.
Like, he does a weird, like, and it's so impossible for me to even try, but he's
You're talking while breathing in while talking and it sounds like it does like the hello
Thank you for talking you know I don't know if I've listened to much Stephen
Talking talking's in my life well you know it's any of those sort of like automated
voice okay okay okay it's so wild looking how's it looks so far Furby we just started
Mike is almost done with the game though yeah I'm a eight plus hours in if you have
questions about the game I will gladly answer them for chat him in let us know of course
I encourage you to go check out our gamescast review on the back half of mouse PI.
Me and Tim sit down to talk about our experience.
Yeah, a lot of positives here for this game.
And if you look at a lot of other people's reviews, there's a lot more positive than I am.
I'm an all-lowercase good, 6.5 to 7.
I had a lot of frustration with a number of the checkpointing and platforming.
I thought the combat encounters were fun to just fine.
But other than that, everything else I loved in this video game.
Uh-oh.
Uh-oh.
This whole place is going haywire.
This place is burning down, bro.
Something's going on.
Such good animation.
You got to jump across.
I could reach over there?
Yeah, to the light.
His name's reach, I guess.
I just didn't even think that was possible.
I was like, there's no way I'll make that joke.
Whoa.
How sick is that, right?
That's so cool looking.
The fucking back.
This is where you do the intro.
Can you read that?
Transplantology.
Transplantology department?
Yeah.
There's been an explosion in the laboratory.
him reach you're rid of that one too oh shit the police are trying to just
fucking shot me in the chest you walk towards them wanted to see okay yeah yeah
let's go the other way wanted to see what they thought yeah got some giddy up on
him yeah this is the fast they'll move the entire video game yeah I mean from the demo
that I played, I would agree with that.
He will be much slower
for the remainder of the video game
from this point for it. I didn't even remember he
ran at this part. You're usually
just jogging. That's how far along
it is, is right, yeah.
There's a lot of stealth, too. There's a lot of
the normal limbo puzzle
that we always see.
The standard protocol says, the troopers
must help the survivors, not
eradicate them. There must be
a fatal air. Oh, this is where the demo started.
But visually it was a bit of a different spot, but I do remember that line of dialogue.
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.
And it's like, Reg, you don't know what's going.
You would think protocol says to protect.
There's like, there's a fucking killer line here at the end of the game when everything goes down that I wrote down and we'll talk about.
Oh, you're going to get tattooed on you.
No, it's just like one of the, it's one of those badass ones, you know, because we all about fuck the police and stuff.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
And there's a moment like this.
Oh, nice.
And I'm like, oh, shit, bro.
That was pretty hard.
you just said to that guy.
Then I beat the shit out of the cup.
Oh, sick.
This is crazy.
Dude, we are hustling through this force right now.
Visuals are amazing.
Awesome lighting.
And it's usually backlight,
and that's what causes, like,
the coolest amount of,
was that just my fault?
Oh, you tripped on that log.
Oh, I thought that was a scripted death.
Yeah, you got to get up and over that log.
I thought that was a bit of a scripted death, my bad.
But yeah, I think the game does a great job
with having everything being backlighting
so that shadows are always kind of coming.
at you and the angles of everything look amazing.
Could to get my fucking bitch.
Yeah.
You gotta jump a lot sooner, huh?
Yeah, you gotta get up.
Remember, you have that much, not much speed, not much agility, so you gotta really play in your...
Oh, look I jump pretty soon, yeah.
Yeah, the back lighting, like you say, when the shadows are coming towards you, look awesome in this.
This must be the hard difficulty, Mike, honestly.
You know what?
I think it will be...
Ooh, I'm jumping soon.
Okay.
Am I jumping too soon?
A little soon?
Well, by soon, what do you mean by soon?
Early.
Early.
Like if we were doing the long jump, you would be jumping over here instead of like at the last
moments.
Yeah.
Why don't you practice to jump right now, see how high you get it.
Maybe it's last second you gotta get it.
Okay.
Get right up to the- I was thinking I had to like load it up.
Okay, maybe we try it.
It might be the hard difficulty.
No jump earlier people are saying.
Earlier, right?
So yeah, you gotta jump farther away.
Okay, that's what I thought.
Are you holding the jump, people are asking?
holding the jump matters or not he's got pretty much I'll definitely try it earlier oh oh
you were jumping so much he was thrown down the pace and time that's a difficulty
thank you again genius a difficulty good passes pretty I'm playing out difficult mode
don't worry about it yeah give me double Joe maybe or something there definitely
so I got to go much sooner okay good to know earlier earlier yeah okay really
held up on that out
If we were looking at the line, where would you be jumping on the line?
Just like sooner rather than later is the wording that I'm using, you know?
It's one of those you don't think about.
I wasn't a big track star, you know what I mean?
Could have been, but I wasn't, you know?
Really, you thought you could have been?
I was one of those regrets in life that I wasn't on the track more.
You know what it was? It was the sun.
I didn't want to be in the sun all day, so I avoided track and field.
That's usually the number one thing.
Exactly, but I really felt like track and field could have been my game.
You, St. Bole almost wasn't an Olympian.
Hey, that damn sun.
Sunburns all the time.
Yeah.
Whoa.
Yeah, bro.
I'm looking at the cool jets up there.
I'm forgetting how to hit eight and jump.
I got to hit jump about six seconds.
Yeah, a lot of hurled.
A lot of logs.
A lot of logs.
What's happening with a forestation here?
Here we go.
Way too soon right there.
I fucked up there, might.
Fuck it up.
And brutal death animation.
Yeah.
There's like some really cool animations on the death side.
Kind of gets repetitive on the death side,
but they're all, they're very brutal.
But the kill stuff, very cool.
They have some really awesome, like, kill moments there
that are scripted and play out.
It's really sick.
I mean, he's got some sick animations
with the combos that you end up pulling off.
Have we seen the newest thing that kids do?
They get up on really high heights
and then they jump into pine trees
and kind of just, like, fall through the branches
as it catches them.
Oh.
Yeah, yeah, that's the new thing.
According to who?
Just daredevils out there.
Extreme life seekers.
Whoa.
You know, according to, or like, just because you saw one TikTok,
it doesn't mean that that's what they're doing.
I've seen a lot of them.
I'm surprised.
Well, it's in your algorithm now.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Got you now, you piece of shit.
Yeah, right, I can parry.
He's like, I know Kung Fu.
Yeah, it would be sick if Keanu was the voice of this.
Awesome.
Wait, I know you.
I'll do the helmet thing.
Hold far.
Hold fire!
Oh, fuck, we're dead meat!
Oh, dude, he took the shot.
He's a shot for you.
Dude, he shielded me, unintentionally.
That could have been my friend.
I know, that was an interesting moment right there.
He knew who you were.
I look at you.
What do you think he's hanging by his belt, suspenders?
I can't tell.
His arms are long, though.
It's got some long-ass arms.
Long arms.
K.D. out here.
He was a mellow last night.
Oh, man, Mello.
on the full Lamello experience
So as a turnover to possibly lose the game
That makes a wind-over lay up to win the game
Tripped BAM out of bio
Fuck yeah, you gotta do that
Yeah
You gotta cheat
You gotta cheat
If you're not cheating you're not trying
When I think of the ball family
And I see Lamello I go yeah that's the guy who's gonna trip
Yeah yeah yeah
He did apologize afterwards
Oh wow that's nice too
He was like that's my bad
I'll talk to him I haven't seen the footage but like
Yeah, that's on me. I'm gonna talk to him afterwards.
You think he'll ever apologize to the city of Charlotte for being a menace in the
street?
I don't know, man.
In the roadways?
I don't know. He definitely needs to apologize to just the street goers.
The body. It is cold.
Oh, he's saying your body. Our body.
Yes. He's feeling sensation.
Uh-huh, uh-huh.
We get the credit starts. That's sick.
Anytime your game can start with credits, it just makes it so much more professional.
You show this to somebody who's never played a game.
You show this to somebody who's never played a game.
and it's like this is for this is really cool and pro you hit them with the credits early
they go oh wow yeah because Kojima does that they should provide adequate warmth
oh a little jacket damn so his iconic jacket is just something he found in the sewer
found in the sewer bro damn Warren I will look after your body until we return to the
laboratory now you're gonna become reach oh shit now at the moment where you've
reach has officially become Warren I thought Warren does still talk in the game though
Yeah, and that thing I remember.
Isn't that jacket wait?
It's gotta be so wet and gross.
Brody.
We're in a sewer though.
We're trudging along.
The trooper is dead.
It's fortunate that we survived the fall.
Yeah, I'm thinking like a Keanu, maybe a Gauze.
Goss?
Ryan Gosling.
Oh, gotcha.
Some like deep of like, man.
Mentemori, that's what you always said, right?
Oh, hell didn't you let me save you,
you stubborn bastard?
Goodbye, Stephen.
Steven?
The cop.
We just saw him.
The cop just gave his life.
How did we just see that flat right?
That close friend was Steven, the one who aided you in my creation.
Fellow nerd.
This weapon is a standard issue police fire on.
Bioloc malfunction allows us to operate it, but it's no longer able to shoot.
Still the baton mode is functional.
Here's your cool.
It turns into a baton.
Here's your control moment.
Shut up.
Yeah, you'll like that.
We might have to use this gun to protect ourselves, Warren.
Pretty sick.
That's lit.
Pretty sick.
I didn't know.
I didn't realize that's what was happening.
Yeah.
Like, because in the combos I was doing, I couldn't tell that that thing was becoming that.
That's sick.
That's really cool.
That about Victoria for being the lead animator.
Pick the ass.
You killed it.
It's right.
Shout out.
The moment that I knew that, like, obvious banger, not only just based on the trailers,
but there's that one moment in the clip where I did, like, the voice acting.
kind of thing that I posted on social media,
where it's like, he's on the ground,
and he kind of, like, struggles to get up.
Okay.
It's like, dude, that looks so fucking awesome.
Oh, it's time for some first aid.
An old Medston and a note.
Take this, patch yourself up and wait for help.
Outside of Sea Danger.
Damn, they knew?
They knew I'd be here.
Someone knew I'd be here.
I mean, if you're down in the sewers,
you've got to help other sewer focus, right?
But it's like, are they...
Whoever left is here,
do they know they're just helping someone random?
or is it, I know that's gonna be reach slash Warren?
No, no, no, someone wins.
Oh, okay.
We don't have time for this warrant.
Oh, no, I'm jogging.
I'm no longer hurt anymore.
So yeah, you just unlocked the med stem, right?
So cool.
This shit is lit, bro.
And you're gonna use it.
You'll use it a lot of like,
this is where all of the fun lore drops are,
so you'll read through the lore here.
But there is a hacking minigame,
which you'll use for this, which is fun.
And it essentially looks like a,
a walkman with a screen.
It's called the Wingman 2.
Yeah, it's like a cassette player.
Yeah.
What do we call a Walkman?
Is that not a CD player?
Walkman started off as a, well, the disc man became...
The disc man.
Yeah, but then they repurposed Walkman for the MP3 players.
Ah, man, I had a...
I had a weird one.
I'll never forget, because that was before the iPads came out.
We got one of those MP3 players.
And then everybody went to the iPods.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
So I had a weird one.
I don't know if it wasn't a Zoom.
It was before Zoom.
Like a San...
Oh, it was like one of those off-brand ones, you know what I mean?
I definitely had the mad cats of MP3.
Yeah.
You know what I mean?
Sandisk were ones that when people wouldn't buy iPods, when I worked at Best Buy, they were buying, like, sand disk had one, but then there was also another band with the letter as.
Like, it wasn't San Rio.
It was like this weird little, like, almost looked like a goldfish for like a circle.
It was like green.
It almost looked like Master Chief Colorways, but it was definitely green.
It was circular with a couple of buttons.
It almost looked like a Tomidachi.
Yeah, angle.
Yeah, I know, yeah, I know what I'm gonna.
Yeah, yeah.
Because mom wasn't buying us no iPod.
Right, right, right, right.
She's like, I know better than that.
And so, okay, so this wingman device that Reach uses,
it zooms in, and then it essentially is your settings for the game.
You can, like, play music.
Yeah, you have a music player, touch in there.
Any sort of lore drop will be in here.
Things that I'm scanning, very cool.
And so, yeah, this game, if you start to fall in love with the story,
which, trust me, I can.
know you will you'll be reading a lot of cool lore drops in there that you'll
want to read through the brand creative okay that's what it is you think so they're
saying the creative nomad zen that up on your phone oh I don't have my phone on
me let me see your new phone bust that shit up go get it Kevin look up the
brand creative no man Zen we gotta look that up that that might be at its
rights that was like you just okay you just run through this intro set look it
yeah look it up for me creative nomads and that rap rap
Is that it?
No, no, that's way too.
No, that's too boxy.
It was like a green circle, chat.
Green circle.
2000's MP3 player.
Green circle, maybe yellow highlights on that.
There was about a million of those things made back in the day about it.
Any of these ring a bell or look familiar to you?
This is now the stream.
Yeah, now we're just, now we're MP3.
Did you have an MP3 player?
iPod.
What did you?
Oh, you went check the iPod.
My first one was my iPod.
was my iPod Mini. Oh, okay. So you didn't have the original iPod. No, I got the man. My friend
JP is the one who was the first one to buy an iPod. I was like, that is the sickest thing ever.
And I spent, I saved up so much money from like birthdays and Christmases. Yeah. It was the Christmas and
then birthday. Okay. And I bought the iPod Mini and it was the blue one. And it didn't have the physical
wheel, just the touch wheel. Okay, okay, okay. And that was like the coolest shit ever. Dude,
You'll never forget the first time seeing an iPhone,
an Apple product from one of your friends.
Cold Cap Salas had that all-white fucking original iPod,
and everyone was like, what is that thing?
It was a brick, you know, and it had the spinning wheel,
and then Max something, forget his last name,
but Max Jr.
walked in with the original iPhone,
and everyone gathering around going,
what the hell is that, you know?
The brand Rio ring a bell?
Thank you to chat, who was like, Andy.
What were you guys at that thing?
No, we're just looking up...
No, we're just looking up old...
Yeah, old...
We're just having some fun with some MP3s.
We're in the sewers right now, getting out of here.
Yeah, you'll never forget seeing those first Apple products.
My uncle was an Apple user.
And I didn't get to visit him very often.
He lived in Austin.
Okay.
But he was the only person that I knew that ever owned Apple stuff.
Before the MacBooks became a thing in, like, high school.
Yeah, yeah, exactly.
Or early college.
Like, this is even before that.
And so he had, like, the colorful iMacs.
The ones with the back with the colors on?
Yeah, those were cool.
He had an iMac that was just like a little,
it was about yay big, and it was just a half-circled dome.
Oh.
That had a monitor sticking, like a...
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Dude, he had, like, just old-ass Mac stuff,
and every time I'd go over, he was like,
this is insane, because I've never seen these products anywhere.
Like, they don't have these at best five, you know?
Do you think those stuff, like, say, like, you know, vintage,
just such a cool thing with, like, record players,
and now people want to watch VHSs and stuff.
Those old computers, are those just useless,
or could you actually use that now today?
Like, say we got one of those cool, colorful Apple computers.
I mean, they would still turn on,
but there's, like, just no storage or, like, they don't have any...
Nothing would be...
No, you can use as a word processor or something, probably.
Google?
Probably not.
Could I, like, browse the Internet, I guess, is, like, my thought, you know what I mean?
Probably not.
I mean, it would be the most miserable experience ever.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Phoenix City.
Bo-do-do-do-do-pso-d-do-pso-d-do-p-d-d-p-d-d-p-d-d-p-d-p-d-d-p...
Damn, dog.
Yura Zano-Zanovitch.
Oh!
Big title card.
Our location is far from the laboratory, Warren.
We need to return there quickly.
They're pretty sick.
You're outside the wall.
We have a little play out here.
We're going to learn about who lives outside the wall.
Yeah, because I...
been outcasted outside of the walls of the city.
I mean, this looks very aesthetically similar
to the start of the demo.
Because I do remember a part where Reach tells Warren,
this is like, this is the barrier or whatever
for Phoenix City.
I think this is where the demo starts, maybe.
No, never mind.
I never walked up the ladder like this.
Oh, fuck.
Didn't know.
Again, the back gliding, the god rays coming
through the trees, so gorgeous.
but give me a little bit of a faster run.
I'm surprised there's not like a sprint button here.
There's no button to just kind of jog a little bit more.
He's at one set pace the whole time.
I bet you a model will figure that out.
And then like there's Mike who's just slamming the jump button
in hopes that like I'm actually going faster.
But then like if we were to play it side by side,
it's like you're not going.
Yeah, exactly.
Again, a run animation exists.
We just saw it, you know.
Hang on a second, Kyle.
You've got to catch.
Some of these dudes, hair...
Dude, is that their hair? No.
No, they're all bald, I believe.
Oh, it's like a piece of their mask or something?
Yeah.
Looks like the railway punks didn't find you first.
No worries.
I can explain our life behind the wall is for you.
Simple, actually.
You're either a predator or prey.
Oh, shit.
We got our...
Fuck yeah.
You, man.
Red attacks.
You got to dodge with the A button.
Wide, yellow.
For Y, Mike.
Yeah, yellow for Y.
Just like Batman.
You just played Arkham Asylum so you know it.
Yeah, yeah.
I was so bad at that game.
Yeah, I call this the XXY.
It's a mad I can Kevin to make them mad whenever I break down the video game.
I remember that, yeah, I remember that.
Like, you just smash the XXXXX, we were talking about Assassin's Creed.
This is very Assassin's Creed and Arkham did, like nailed this, right?
It's like, this is what it is.
The best of God Dale, Bill them to a pulp.
And now we're all here fighting.
Yeah.
Now you're going to be lined up.
You're gonna be working different enemies, finding your flow.
What does the blue mean, I wonder?
What do you see blue?
Will the yellow turn to blue?
Oh, I think that's, you'll get to that
when they start doing a little more combos,
and that just comes down to timing.
Okay.
You'll see it.
When we get to a certain enemy type,
they're gonna do a combo on you,
and your goal is to get it in the yellow, not the blue.
I think blue is like you're too late.
Gotcha, okay, okay.
Or like, essentially blue is you're in between
the middle of their combo when they'll do multiple hits.
I love the sound effects.
Just like this metal pipe hits a dude's head.
I do need the music to pump here, though.
I told Tim, I was like, you know,
sometimes I don't feel like the music's pumping enough.
Yeah.
I really liked the music.
And then I played later that night,
and there was like one awesome sequence
where they nailed the music plus the look of the fight.
And I was like, oh, okay, like this was very good.
Because that, but I was a little harder on the music
for my playthru.
I was like, I wish this was bumping more.
It needs to really kick in,
seafood style there.
And not just sound like kind of background
noise. All right, so we got a little lord drop, and it was
called Survivor's Memoir.
Then the med staff began to die right
next to their patients. Now it's known as
secondary contamination.
Back then, but back then,
we called it a curse.
Punishing people who dared to oppose the end of times.
Who knew the affected people were the source of radiation as well?
Mr. Reyes stops to catch a breath,
to stop the transplanted tissue rejection.
He has to reply all immunosuppressants,
and a recent, calm and cold left him in a weekend state.
One thing for sure he continues,
that thing didn't discriminate.
Black or white, man or woman, rich or poor,
everyone was stripped of their skin and left to rot the same.
To fight back, we had to learn what United really meant the hard way.
And they got COVID.
We had, yeah, pretty used some better leadership during that time.
It did take you some time.
He said it was a hoax.
We got there.
It took a little bit longer than it should have.
Seven million dead.
A lot longer.
I'll optimize the body's resources
to maximize physiological efficiency.
Yeah, I did see a post that was like...
So all of us who didn't get Vax,
like, we're all good, right?
Like, what happened with that?
And people were like, well, seven million of you all weren't good.
There was a lot who died, yeah.
A lot of close ones to us.
All right, so moving platforms to kind of create,
you know, the ways to get through these certain areas.
Yes.
The catastrophe 20 years later, looking back, the catastrophe began long before the 16th of July
in 1945, World War II time.
No one asked us if we wanted those military tests.
No one ever told us what radiation was.
The aftermath of the explosion was just a manifestation of a systemic governmental indifference
towards the people.
The priority of politicians was to silence the witnesses and cover up the real scale of the catastrophe.
Instead of saving lives, they were desperate to save face.
As a result, hundreds of thousands of American lives were lost.
and almost a third of our territory became unlivable for us,
our children of generations to come.
Still, in the total economic and social collapse,
in the whirlwind of massive civil unrest,
our nation has risen from the radioactive ashes.
The Phoenix Initiative was born.
That's so cool sounding.
A comprehensive network.
So I thought it was like Phoenix, Arizona,
but it's like just the Phoenix City of like this is where...
We're re-rising. We're rising.
Wow.
All right, shelters hand-wovem by the carrying citizens,
united by common goal, fighting death and destruction.
Today, the initiative has evolved
into a full-scale corporation that continues to inspire and support people in the pursuit of a better society
strong reliable working hard to keep the nation healthy well-fed and protected i'm sure
everything's totally fine and good yeah i'm sure they're really helping this right yeah i'm sure
there's nothing shady about him at all and so yeah you talked about moving the objects that's
gonna be the bulk of all your you know puzzle solving right when we come to platform puzzler
here the level of human aggression does not correlate with the data i have says reach
Oh, we're outside the wall reach and you maybe haven't been trained outside the wall.
Yeah.
Praise the center structure is this shadow.
Praise the center structure, dude.
Daddy Rufus was just trying to help us.
What were we just talking about?
Oh, World War II.
Right.
Yeah, 1941 to 1945.
Wow.
I like you recalling the dates for you.
Thank you.
Yeah, yeah.
I got interested in war for Midland.
I look at him some wars because I was worried, I was like, I don't know any of the dates.
Well, yeah, we talked about that.
We just had that discussion on game.
or on the GamesCats right now.
Oh, really?
Yeah, because Greg was like,
I didn't know World War I or World War II time.
He was like, is World War I near the 30s?
It was like, no, the end of the 30s
is when World War II started ramping up.
I had to look it up.
You're dead, shithead.
This guy wants to fight me.
Yeah, bitch.
Got them.
Oh, I love that leap.
Yeah, I like their orange jumpsuit look
with, like, the cool crop top jackets, you know?
Showing them abs.
Yeah, showing the sick abs.
Like, we're not eating well out here, so all of us are super skinny.
It reminds me of, um, bad Macs.
Oh, okay, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Those guys out there.
What was that guy's name?
Um, Terminate Joe.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, Eternet.
Benjville Joe.
Beautiful Joe.
Beautiful Joe.
Now, are they wearing headpieces to cover them to pretend themselves for, like, radiation and
stuff because I, oh, I just took it as they're all bald.
Okay, well, maybe if that is the look.
I'm looking at like a high-collar jacket.
That's like a crop talk, right?
No T-shirt.
I'm talking in Morton Joe's boys.
They were all bald.
They were spraying their face with the stuff.
I take it as they're all bald.
Because I would have appreciated, like, if that wasn't the theme, if like, you know,
we had one skull that was a little bit bigger.
Yeah.
We had one do with a smaller head.
One, do with, you know, like, just give me a little bit of riding the heads.
Because that is kind of a bummer to see that they are all identical.
Yeah, yeah.
No sign of non-aggressive humans.
They might be hiding some or warn.
But we're expecting to see non-aggressive humans out here, I guess.
They must be hiding somewhere is what he says, fuck me.
I hope is.
Yeah, yeah.
It felt good to have that jump right there.
I see what you think there.
Yeah.
I was in the rhythm, you know, it was kind of hopping around.
Yeah, there might be like good people beyond the wall.
We're not quite sure, you know what I mean?
We've only run into hostiles so far.
Barely made that jump.
In the future, there is no hair.
That must be what it is.
Yeah.
Well, it's like you don't have vitamins for the hair loss.
Yeah.
You don't have good food.
I can't take finasses ride.
So it's all the thing, you know.
You're bouncing over here.
You're bouncing.
I just look at it.
It's like, if you join the gang with them,
everyone shaves their head.
Like that's the rule.
You know what I mean?
If you don't like the same-looking
character sprites and models,
this game's going to have a lot of those.
If you join the gang,
you have to take on the proportions
of everyone else.
Everyone has to be the same size.
I mean, you know, they do have like the brute model
or whatever.
Yeah, of course.
They have the larger dude that's a bit tankier.
But yeah, I would say
when you see the character sprite,
that's going to be the bad guy
that you're going to see most of the game.
I mean.
Here's where the demo started.
Yes.
Man, we're going over there.
City of what?
Fun?
No.
Fortune?
That cut off.
It's F-O-R?
I do feel like the...
They had such an easy opportunity to go overboard with the music to elevate these moments,
and they're just not quite taking the other movies.
They're playing it safe.
Yeah.
I want them to go harder with it.
I don't love that.
Yeah, I'd rather have you go overboard and harder with the music.
harder with the music than underneath.
Yeah.
Well, with that, let's take a quick moment because, of course, this is the kind of funny
games cast plays, but we'd also like to highlight our sponsors for the week.
So we'll be right back after a word from our sponsor.
This episode is brought to you by boot.dev.
If you're listening to this show, there's a solid chance you, one, like video games,
and two, at some point in your life have been interested in learning software development.
Boot.dev combines those things because they know the smartest way to learn is to never get bored.
It takes your coding from beginner to expert the fun way through a hands-on RPG-like experience.
If you're ready to put in the time, it takes just like Kevin is.
My favorite feature is that you could find a solution that works, but then afterwards, you can hit solution and see the way that they were trying to teach you to do it.
That's really cool.
With a curriculum designed for builders with gamers sensibilities in mind, boot.dev welcomes you to the most captivating way to learn to code.
You can learn backend web development from start to finish in Python, SQL.
and go. That's why you'll learn
by doing the things you'll be actually doing

code kind of funny to get 25%
off your entire first year on
the annual plan. This episode is
brought to you by NoCD. You finally
sit down to game, just you, your controller,
and zero responsibilities when your brain decides that's the perfect time to ask, did I say something
offensive earlier and not realize it? And suddenly relaxing and enjoying yourself is impossible. Instead,
your brain grabs onto the thought and will not let it go. That kind of relentless thought
spiral isn't just anxiety. It could actually be OCD, a condition that's way too misunderstood
and way more common than most people realize. But it doesn't have to be that way, because OCD
is highly treatable with the right kind of specialized therapy. OCD needs E.C.D. needs E.
or exposure and response prevention, which is proven to be the most effective treatment.
And that's where NoCD comes in.
NoCD is the world's leading provider of OCD treatment, and it's covered by insurance for
over 138 million Americans.
All their licensed therapists specialize in ERP therapy and will help you learn to take the power

The termites?
Take a look next time they'll talk to you.
I mean, you've been playing the game.
I'm almost done with the game.
Yeah, well, you know, there's a couple other groups in the game.
A lot of different factors.
Maybe these are early guys.
Maybe they're group one.
Yeah, exactly.
These might be phase one boy.
I'm on about phase three to five now.
So, yeah, these guys haven't been seen in a while.
Tom Hughes with a 36-month resubscription on Twitch says thank you for hard work. Have a great Wednesday. You too, Tom Hughes. Thank you for the love and support over on Twitch, subscribe and supporting us.
Ross Miller says, just hit a game breaking buck three-fourths of the way through the game. This thing was not ready for release. Oh, that's unfortunate.
Interesting, Ross. I feel bad for you on that one. That's unfortunate. Hopefully that gets either patched or maybe you can reach out and find out what's missing there. I definitely hit my head against the wall on one of the puzzles.

those people threaten our existence.
We need to be discreet to survive, Warren.
And here we get the sort of stealthy inside.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Limbo.
Every game, every, what do we call them these?
Cinematic Platformer has this.
I like that.
I didn't even know we were calling it that.
Well, I saw it being used on the review for Darwin's Paradox.
And I was like, oh, like, I like that.
I like cinematic platformer.
Because it very much is, it's like,
you're here for the story.
and the vibe, right?
Like, I'm not telling you
that this is Batman Arkham City
of like,
there's going to be
a million combat encounters.
You're here for the vibe.
You're here for the platforming.
I think we can add
the word vibe in there somehow.
Oh, okay.
Well, cinematic is vibe.
Cinematic is a vibe.
Because it definitely does prepare you
as the game to know,
okay, I'm not going to need
pin point precision
jumping.
This isn't a Mario game.
This isn't something,
you know, Sonic or whatever.
Yeah.
Oh, it's a hunt night.
Oh, so these guys go out and they have like their own purge, I guess.
Oh, freak.
Yeah, I mean, beyond the wall you're scavenging for supplies.
Just fighting to live, right?
So like, yeah, there's, of course, people are going to group up.
They're going to find people of like minds to try to survive with,
and this gang is out here hunting for supplies.
They're up to a little no good.
I got to take a piss over it?
Oh, he's looking at me.
I thought he was, like, facing the wall.
thing a little pee-p past that first little section someone said uh this game is a bit more subdued than i thought
yeah it's definitely like it's not gonna like that you really just say the word as if it's like the most
alien of words so dude i've heard that before so dude it's definitely not gonna be the game does get wild and
crazy. But at the start, you know, it's a very cerebral type of, you know.
It's a slow build. Yeah, it's a slow burn. The slow burn is right. We got to build the world.
We got to build the stakes. You're in for a 10 to 12 hour experience here. This isn't going to be,
hey, I've played this for three hours like a movie, right? We got to build out what's going to go
on in this. Yeah, it can't just be all action all the time. Yeah.
Even though that's what I want the Resident Evil movie to be. And it sounds like it sounds like it's going to be.
The guys making it very much feel like, hey, we're just going to be nonstop fucking action.
And it's going to be, it's going to be insane.
Glad I remember this platforming part.
I did see some people on a blue sky saying, like, it's cool to see the game out.
Like, I'm rooting for the game.
But, you know, I guess they were different publishers or different PR people.
We were working with them, and now we're not.
So it just kind of stinks to see, like, our baby not.
We're not in control or whatever anymore.
I don't know what happened.
Oh, the termites.
They are called.
Termite.
Might be Moles bastard again.
Blondie went ap shit.
Just keep your bloody eyes.
Keep your bloody eyes peels, right?
Maybe they are.
Have you been watching the boys?
No.
I need to watch the boys.
I haven't been watching.
Me too.
Too much TV right now to blend with all the gaming.
New many games, man.
It's like what will happen is I'll play a bunch of games,
and then I'll have one day where I just watch nothing but TV,
and I'll finally get caught up on the things that I'm
you know?
Yeah, that definitely happens to me as well.
But, like, yeah, it's a build-up of, like,
I've missed everything.
I'm finally ready to watch TV.
Oh, you're turning certain things down.
And then I'm just going to raise it all up.
You got to, this is a headphone game.
This is a cinematic experience, bro.
I need the music to out, to outdo everything.
So, Kevin, if you could raise the music for the chat,
that'd be awesome, too.
Because I lower the SFX here, the sound effects,
so things should just be overall quieter anyway.
a little bit like you.
Yeah, and he bought I just scan, pawn shopkeeper's note.
Laura, always, always check everything with the dosimeter.
Emitters are still dangerous.
100% scammers from dirty lands.
I don't need that crap in my pawn shop.
Ah, people are ponding like infected items.
Fuck yeah, bro.
Any way to survive, man.
What game is this?
A ghost beggar, this game's called Replaced.
It's called Replaced.
This is your games cast.
Gamescast plays Game of the Week.
just released yesterday.
We had a games cast review about it, Mike and Tim.
And today we're going to show you all about it.
Yeah, I was...
Oh, I didn't know that.
No, no, no.
Don't be moving it while the light's on there.
I could have sworn I was able to do that...
That is sick, though, that they fucking shot through that box
and there's a whole left that murdered you with it.
So cool, dude.
I'm just sworn I was able to do this without, like, move it while it was on me.
Maybe not. I don't know.
Yeah, I don't think I...
Every time I tried to move stuff
while it was on me, it murdered me.
So, yeah, I don't know.
Maybe it was different for you.
Maybe not.
Maybe I'll check it.
Yeah.
I think I just made that up in my brain.
I do remember playing it, though, and going like,
so the guy controlling the light isn't like,
wait, that box is further over there.
Wait a second.
What the fuck?
This box is moving?
I don't see it move, but every time I look back at it,
it's further.
You know, termite and Joe doesn't really care.
They're all, you know, fucked up anyway.
Either they see a human,
Or they don't.
That's how this goes.
Yeah, but we were saying every
cinematic platformer has to have
the light tracking you, the red, light, green light
game. It's got to be in there.
Speaking of which, they should put in a red,
light, green light game.
What do you mean? In real life?
In like games like this. We don't get like
the full-on red-light green light.
Oh. We get that, the light tracking,
but we don't get the like, oh, it means
no movement at all. We get the general concept of
it all. Give me the game.
I kind of, I really like,
like when different shooters and video games have like the don't move or you'll be like war zone
has that oh and you'll be tracked yeah yeah war zone has that one thing of like you'll be you know
what what screen just turned black that dude that was crazy okay and all right we're back
so you see this guy now we've added another enemy right you see this is like now a new enemy
has come in he's got a sniper rifle you're gonna see the line line up at
You got a dodge, right?
We're adding to the combat, just like you would expect,
in the Arkham-style combat games here to add more fun to the kind of combat
and the puzzle of it all, which is cool.
Who do you take out first?
What do you go do?
What do you mean?
In the comment.
Oh, in the comment.
It's fun to like...
I thought you meant it right now I had different choices.
Yeah.
It's fun to see how other people like handle combat, right?
Like, who's their top priority?
What do they do?
Our congregation is fading away.
this is a letter from 1967.
Last week a whole district was evicted.
The upstanding ones were offered modern accommodation
in the city center. Some people moved west, but most agreed.
And those who remained are interested in neither God nor the devil.
That's fucking cool. That's a cool line.
Who am I to compete with the Phoenix preachers? Their sweet promises
describe a carefree life of comfort protected by the walls they build.
But what will be the price?
And who chooses the ones worthy? They are the ones building the arcs.
But I see Babylon Towers.
You gotta make that shit pump.
It needs to be like...
I'm telling you, I feel like Ghost Runner.
I feel like it only happens once in the game.
Where they really land the music and the, oh, shit.
The needle drop.
It's banging right now.
Yeah, the John Wick moment where you're like, oh shit.
Keanu's getting after it.
Everything I'm seeing on the screen is matching this.
I love that energy.
Like, even, I mean, I lowered the sound effects quite a bit,
and I don't know if it doesn't feel like it.
anything happened. No, I don't, it didn't feel like anything happened there. Like, did you get any
Strix Haven? No, not yet. Me and Blessing have not received any packages. But I am set up to go
this weekend, I believe it's the official pre-launch for it all. I'm very excited.
Now we're sprinted. Now you got giddy-up. Now he's got a giddy-up. Now he's got a little
giddy-up. Come on reach. That's the extent that he's good. That was the moment. That's all it mattered.
That was the run. That's all we needed. This one reminded me of a Raccoon City Police
department. Oh yeah. Like the look of it right here? Yeah. Yeah. God, that game was great.
There's a cute moment. You guys crushed that stream. There's a cute moment in a mouse.
Oh, okay. Yeah, yeah. There's a police station with a welcome Leon side. No shit. Yeah, a little celebrate,
little like birthday cakes out and stuff. Do you think I'd like that game? I think it's too long.
Too long. Yeah. I think I definitely think it overstays it's welcome. Would it be fun for like a night?
Honestly, maybe the first couple of boss fights.
I just wanted the boss fights to like,
oh, this is a really cool concept.
Hopefully we see more of this evolved
and like none of them really hit that cool patterning
of beat the boss and it's shooting
it's shooting beams that rotate.
You gotta jump over them and then
and then it's gonna shoot a big beam at you
that goes directly at you, but you gotta hide behind
like a wall that does, like it never quite reached that high
and that always kind of bummed me out.
Jack did a little battery thing to the thing.
I only, I knew what to do because I've already done this chap, but you would get here and go,
how do I turn this thing on?
What I got to do?
Put the thing in the thing.
Yeah, you learned about the battery right there.
That's the first time I think you saw that battery.
And yeah, you're getting teased with like, what are those things up there?
Should I go up there?
Yeah.
Alternate path is and go do that.
And it's like, if you're a lorbitz.
Yeah, if you're a lorbit guy, then yeah, you're going to stop and do that.
That's all this is.
In inaugural address, my friends, my fellow citizens,
since this century's beginning, a time of tempest
has seemed to come upon the continents of the earth.
For our own country, it has been a time,
it has been a time of recurring trial.
You summoned our dedication to the service of the nation.
I guess is the president talking, maybe the mayor?
I don't know.
I mean, it says inaugural address, so it's got to be president.
My citizens, I thank you.
Archived poster.
Back to the Roots.
Mine More Coal for a Better Tomorrow.
All right.
Get in the minds.
Music Dan, thank you for 62 months, music Dan.
Thanks for using your prime on us.
Introducing the brute.
But see, they're all bald.
Yeah, they are.
Like, even the sniper guys are bald.
The old sniper guys, they're bald.
Hey, prick, you think you're a big deal?
Well, let me tell you something, brother.
I'm going to rip you from limb to limb.
Get him.
Go out to the gun guy first.
The music is definitely hitting now.
I see I would like it's still louder.
Alright check this out.
Kevin, get ready to bump of the music.
The audio even I will lower the sound effects real low.
It still feels too far in the background.
Yeah.
I mean.
I definitely know the sound effects too low, but this is the balance media.
Oh, shit.
That's your first death.
Oh, shit.
See that badass?
Like, he does that every death animation?
Oh, he spins out blood?
Yeah, he gets shot and he's like,
that's brutal.
That's brutal and cool.
Let me just boost up.
boosts up the sound effect.
Yeah, but for anybody who hasn't played Ghost Runner,
one of my favorite games of all time,
first person shooter, one of those like,
complete the room without getting hit once,
but you're like, you're throwing shirkins
and you're shooting and swords slashing,
but one of the best sort of, you know.
Put that in like the neon white category.
What was that one that Xavier Nelson,
X?
Zalab.
Zalavir?
Oh.
Nelson made, what was that one that we played?
I can see the title art.
The guy with the mascot, he's punched him in the face.
What that game called?
Not Blair Nelson, thank you so much.
I'm your beast.
I am your beast, yeah.
Yeah, it goes on some of my favorites and the soundtrack, amazing.
If anything, just look up the soundtrack.
If you enjoy sound like 9-inch nails or the newest Klon movie,
just very, very hard-haged.
It's just got like all sorts of stuff like that.
Someone in the chat said, Mike,
I took it as there maybe suffering from,
like the, I lost her.
I'll come back.
I love the leap back, like after the dodge back,
the leap forward again.
Yeah, the leap back is nice.
So cool.
That shit feels awesome to do.
That's like the Batman, right?
So like when you're playing the Arc Commandor Assassin's Green,
it's so much fun in the 3D space to be bouncing around.
Yeah.
Now in the 2D plane, there's not much bouncing going on,
but that is nice to be able to bounce back.
Sometimes it feels like I want to bounce further,
so you don't get that bounce.
And it's like, oh, make him like Batman.
Yeah.
So something killed this dude.
We don't know who it was, but it was a sniper.
Well, well, well, you're quite a drill chase.
Now stand still.
Won't hurt as much as they say.
I have no solution for the situation, Warren.
Oh, badass.
Yeah.
Just awesome shit.
Super badass.
Hell yeah, baby.
You see that, Jazz?
Memphis the action movie.
Coming to theaters near you.
No time to waste being an ostra.
Climb up on the wreckers before backup arrived.
And you're just like, what is this dude?
Is that a car on another track device?
Have you seen it yet?
So bizarre.
Well, only in that moment.
Oh, okay.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I didn't go, the demo ends very shortly.
Okay, okay.
Yeah, yeah.
He's got a car that's rigged up to go on the train tracks.
Gotcha.
Okay.
So it's super cool to see, like, the wheels are just like the train wheel.
Yeah.
And he's just busting ass on all the different train tracks around town.
Yeah, because...
Which is sick.
It's after this conversation that the original demo ends and will likely...
Yeah.
This episode of Gamescast plays.
But his spite is sick looking when you had Jack in the Blond.
His name is Tedb is his, ooh, boy, I was a close one back.
There. Close but no cigar. Man, you're tough as hell getting so far, taking out that termite
trash along the way. I better watch out, or you're still my job. I usually grab the newbies
right from the pit. I'm swift enough that is. Oh, whatever. Names Tempest. I'm Reach. Like Richard
or like the bloody homicidal court machine? Um, it's joking dude, relax. Who am I to judge names?
He's a rocker, huh? You're okay, Rich. Taking you to a safe
Face. Catch your breath now. We're about to make like a banana and split. Oh, so you can ask
for them. So you go a little bit deeper on certain, yeah, conversations if you want.
Why are you not hostile? Why should I be? Is that what they say about us in the city?
Every human I've encountered showed extreme aggression. Don't see termites as humans, dude. They're
violent scumbags. They hide in old shafts and use mining equipment to hunt us for fun and for food.
And they eat us?
Dude, I'm telling you about it. They eat people? There's not much going on behind them all,
They're hungry.
If you see them, you kill them or run.
Hmm, for a fresh out of the hatch disposal, you're quite capable.
Which body part did they take?
This body is whole, just mildly injured.
And how'd you get here?
I escaped.
Then I fell from the wall, somehow survived.
And decide if you're lucky or not, this place you've landed in.
Venus Corp dumps its waste here.
And we're the waste or disposals if you like.
Oh, man.
I love that Lord drop.
Great piece of lore right here.
This is a good team.
because like yeah we're gonna end the games cast plays in just a moment and like that will
want you to go learn more yeah you'll want to learn more we're the waste or disposals if you like
i need to get back behind the wall as soon as possible it's always this way you know denial to start
then sweet sweet acceptance what do you mean come on have you seen the freaking waltz it's
super it's supperable i guess super bowl so unless you can flower and melt shoot with your eyes
Wait a sec, that gun, can you use it?
Yes, I found out a dead trooper.
I assume the biolk malfunctioned, so I...
Well, I never.
A Vennick's gun a disposal can use.
Man, I cannot wait to see the council's faces.
So make them change their tune for sure.
Come on, reach your boy, jump in the car.
I'll get you back.
I'll get us all back.
Hell yeah, dude.
I recognize this man, Warren.
Rolf heard, oh, we processed his profile before.
profile before we should follow the troopers will come looking for him they'll take us back to
the laboratory sick pretty wild the music rocked pretty wild he's rounding up people outside of
the wall the disposals yeah who's been disposed what body part did they take from you what do you mean
they're taking body parts bam a lot of questions you'll find out a lot more if you play the game
let us know in the comments down below what you thought of
replaced. It is out now for a $20
price tag on GamePass.
It also has a free demo for you to go out
and check out and play and try.
Myself and Tim already reviewed it.
You can go check that out. I plan on finishing
the game probably this week. Andy,
are you going to jump back in?
Yes. Oh, yeah. I don't know if this is a game I will stream, but
it's one of those that I was obviously
already massively interested in.
Played the gameplay at Summer Game Fest. Last year was like, I'm not in love with the
gameplay. Yeah.
Yeah. But all I needed to stick with it is to know, like, yes, the story's worth sticking
or not worth it. Then hell yeah, let's do it.
Eight to ten hours, go out, let us know in the comments below. You jumping in.
We'll talk to you for more gamescast coverage on our weekly games cast.
And of course, our weekly games cast plays.
With that, that's the end of the day for content.
We'll be back tomorrow with more stream and fun.
Goodbye, everyone.
