What's up and welcome back to the kind of funny games cast for Thursday, September 18, 2025.
Of course, I'm your host, Tim Geddes.
I'm joined today by two spectacular gentlemen.
We have Blessing Adioia Jr.
Good day, Tim.
And Roger Percorny.
Chow, and we have Barrett running the show too.
I feel like we got a kind of little dream team going on here.
Talk about some cart racers.
I wish I could join in on this.
Did you play at all?
No, I've not touched this game whatsoever.
Okay.
Well, these guys have played Sonic Racing Cross Worlds, and they're going to tell you all about it.
Of course, this is the kind of funny games cast each and every weekday.
We get together to talk about the biggest reviews, previews and topics and video games live on YouTube, Twitch and podcast services around the globe.

devs after this, we're doing a episode of the kind of funny screencast. Taking a week off of
in-review to try something that has been pretty heavily requested by all, which is taking the
idea that we've been doing on Gamescast of every month, checking out every game coming out that
month and doing kind of a hype check, but doing it for movies.
We're going to do this episode, checking out all the movies coming out the rest of this year.
We have three months left.
So let's see what we got going on.
I think that's me, Joey, and Nick.
It's going to be a great time.
Then after that, the stream's going to be Lego Voyagers with Mike and Nick.
If you're a kind of funny member, today's Gregway is Greg's 27-minute rat-hattan review so far.
Thank you to our Patreon producers, Carl Jacobs, Omega Buster, Delini, the Somm twining.
Today, we're brought to you by Shady Ray's In Factor, but we'll tell you all.
about that later. Let's get right to it.
The topic of the show.
Sonic Racing Cross Worlds.
This is our official
review. Currently, it's sitting at an 83
on Metacritic. The game
is releasing on Switch PlayStation
4 and 5 Windows Xbox
1 Xbox series
on September 25th, 2025
with the Nintendo Switch 2 version planned
for a later date, quote
unquote. I was so certain.
I was so certain that we're going to get that date during
like the Nintendo Directum
we were probably gonna get some
I don't know
put Mario in it
you know what I thought
Mario was just in a cart racer
Yeah we're in this one
Yeah they all love each other now
They're all kissing
They're all in the Olympics
They're all flash processing
You see the commercial
Them talking shit
Yeah
Yeah that's marketing teams
Yeah I mean like in reality
They love each other
It was a developed by Sonic team
With members of the initial
D arcade game helping
Oh wow
Pretty interesting
That's actually really neat
I didn't know that
It is
So I played a bit
of this a couple weekends ago
during the open network test. A fair, fair amount,
a couple hours, I would say. But not enough
at all to give a review. But you
boys, you have.
Is that correct? Blessing has.
I've played enough to talk about it for sure.
But like, I think my general thing
that I've realized in playing this game, I was very excited
for this game. And then I picked it up and I'm playing this for review.
I'm like, I don't think I've ever critically thought
about a cart racer in my life. Like, I
have played a lot of cart racers,
but I've never really sat down and been like,
huh, what makes this good?
I just usually pick these up and go,
oh, I go fast with my friends,
and then I turn it off,
and then I never think about it again.
Well, I can't wait to hear your thoughts on,
if this one does what you need it to or not,
but because it sounds like Bless might be a little bit more of an authority position here.
I guess so.
I wrote credits on it.
Great.
I mean, you did it.
There's credits?
Yeah.
Oh, wow.
You just got to beat all the things.
How do you ever play a grad for you?
All right, Blas.
Let's start with you.
What did you think of Sonic Racing Crosswoods and what would you give it on the kind of funny scale?
It's funny because in the last six months of talking about this game,
I think there has been an air of meme behavior in the office.
Me and Roger look at each other and being like,
this shit's about to be game of the year.
This is going to be the Mario Kart world killer.
I got to be real.
As it's been happening, obviously I'm a fellow Sonic Sicko just like you guys.
But like, I didn't know where the meme ended and began.
I don't think we knew either.
I don't think you guys.
And I'm just like, because I'm like, you were using your serious voices.
Yeah.
You know, so I was like, huh.
So I wonder where it falls for you.
It's funny because even through the preview, right, I think we're still keeping the meme up of like, yeah, Sonic Racing Crossworld is going to be that one.
What I didn't expect was that this game would live up to the meme.
Wow.
This game is fucking awesome.
I really, really enjoy this video game.
I think I don't want to do the thing around comparing it to Mario Kart World the entire time, but I think because that game is fresh on the mind.
And because these two games do some similar things.
they have some similar ideas done in different ways.
It's really easy to compare and contrast.
The key thing being the way that Sonic Racing Cross Worlds has the ring teleporter
mechanic where through lap two, once you're approaching lap two, the person in first place
gets to choose between two locations, and then a ring transports you to one of those
locations, and that is your lap two, and then lap three brings you back to the first part of the race.
They have that, and then also in the last race of the Grand Prix, the fourth race,
of the Grand Prix, you're just going through the first three tracks again, one for each lap.
And so they do the thing in Sonic Racing Crossroads, where you're going from track to track
and having this kind of grand, pun intended, you know, grand final moment of like trying to get
first place through all the tracks. And the way that Sonic Racing Crossroads does it, I think
is so good. I think it's so fun. And that explains out to how I think about this game as a whole.
I think this game is so good and so fun. The racing is fun. But the soundtrack and music, I think,
nails it. The visuals of it,
there are times where I'm looking at this game, and I'm like,
a Sonic game shouldn't look this good. These characters
shouldn't be so sharp. Like, this
is not, this is, this game has too much
polish for me. I genuinely think that. Yeah,
I think this game has like a lot
of polish for, I guess for what I typically get out
of Sonic, because remember,
the last 3D Sonic game, well, I guess
if I'm not counting generations, I'm thinking
of Sonic Frontiers. Yeah. Right?
Like, that's what I think of when I think of Sonic.
I think of Sonic forces. I even do think of
generations, right? And I don't look at these games
is being like the most like, damn, this visually has it going on kind of thing.
And Sonic Racing Crossroads, I think does really do a good job of being like, yo, this is what a
Sonic thing should look like.
You know, like these characters should look sharp sometimes.
But beyond that, the customization stuff, I think is fun.
And yeah, like, I think this is a very feature heavy, very polished, very fun racing game that
kind of restored a feeling of enjoyment for me when it comes to cart racers that I think
I was looking for a little bit more out of Mario.
I still really enjoyed Mario Kart World, right?
But yeah, this one restored a feeling for me
that I've been looking for.
And so I think for a score, say,
8 out of 10.
Wow.
8 out of 10 for the score.
Wow. That is a full point higher than I expected from you,
even with how much you're enjoying it.
But yeah, that's, hell yeah, that sounds awesome.
A Sonic game that you could say is great
without having to be like, well, it's a 7 that feels like an 8.
I like that.
Yeah, no. Yeah, it's an 8 that feels like an 8.
That's solid.
Wow.
Yeah, for me, I enjoyed my time with Sonic racing.
I definitely have played less of it than you.
I've tried my hardest to play more of it, but I just, I couldn't get, I would play a
Grand Prix or two, and I'd be like, I'm good for the night.
And that's usually how I play most of these games.
Like, I think pushing it past that would just get to a point where I'm just like, I'm not
playing this, I'm having no fun just because it's not how I play cart race, it's
not how I interact with these types of video games.
But yeah, the cross-world element of it.
It feels, and it adds this arcade element that it feels like cruising.
It feels like my favorite arcade race.
racing games that and it's at home and it's there's so much visual stimulation in your face that
I think at first it was a little bit not upsetting but it was just a lot comparatively to like a
Mario cart world it's like holy shit like I feel like I'm watching cocoa melon right now it's
wild uh but by the end you don't know cocoa melon you're gonna have a kid you're gonna know
what coconut is you're about you're about you're about learn all about coconut uh but yeah it's it's
so much happening in your face all the time but you get used to it and I think that's where like
the visual stunning and and
and elements of it that I really enjoyed worked well with,
especially when it comes to, like, switching the levels and the technology there.
When you actually look close at the models, I disagree.
I don't think the game looks too good, but I feel like it looks about the same as all of the Sonic game.
So it's not necessarily a dig.
It's just you look really close to them.
It's like, yeah, the lighting doesn't feel great.
It feels a little bit, you know, flats when it comes to the shadows and everything.
But when it comes to the actual playing of the video game, I had a good time.
Good was the word that kept on coming into my.
mind. I was having fun a lot of the times. There's some small things that we'll talk about when we get
into the nitty gritty of some of the mechanics that personally don't work for me in terms of
the progression and like feeding that like carrot on the stick that is something I'm looking
forward to specifically when it comes to the characters. All the characters are unlocked pretty much
at the beginning of the game. I that's the major carrot on the stick is like upgrading your
vehicle, which is never the way that I've played car games. Like I've never been the person that's
tinkering and adding front bumpers.
and making sure that my car is the hottest and the fastest on the block.
So that being the thing that kind of pushes you throughout the game,
didn't really interest me.
So I would say overall, I had a good time with this.
I'm excited to play it on the Switch 2.
That is definitely the way that I'm going to continuously play with it.
Playing it on a mobile console is the preferred way for me.
So I'm looking forward to that.
But right now I'm definitely going to give it a 7 out of 10.
It's a good game.
It's a good car racer for sure.
Yeah, you're saying good all the time in that.
Like that's kind of where I'm at with this.
too where it's it's good i almost even would go further on the the the doubter side of this game
personally where i'm like it's more it's serviceable but with a dash of good like i i feel like
overall i was let down by my experience to the point that like i'm not really going to play much
more of this like i've had the review code and i've had other things to play like silk song that
i've been way more invested in but even if i didn't i don't know how much more i'd get into this
mainly because i do think that it has a lot of stuff it's just not the stuff i'd be looking for in a
car racer and there are other types of
cart racer players that like they want to do all that kind of customization that's never been my thing
um the drift system in this game i like a lot i do feel like compared to the sonic racing games to me
have always been uh a back and forth uh without necessarily like the actual pattern of one good one bad
but like you never really know what you're going to get like the to me there hasn't been one yet
that is like this is the one there's been ones that are like this is the one for a sonic racing game like
all stars transformed um
stands out to me for sure.
But I was kind of hoping that this was going to be the one to like buck that trend.
And this so far for me, I would say what, five hours of playing this game.
Like it is, it's good.
It definitely is good.
The core is there.
I don't like the visual look of it all.
I feel like it is way too noisy and just colorful for sake of colors.
And I usually can be like, well, I like the music.
I like just the atmosphere.
I kind of don't in this.
I feel like the music is a disappointment for being a fan of Sonic games and Sonic
team game specifically.
So yeah, overall, I'm kind of like walking away from this like, dang, I really wish that
this grabbed me a lot more than it did.
But I'm happy it did for you, blessed.
Do you want to keep getting into why?
I mean, yeah, I can expand on like the things that we're talking about here.
Because, yeah, I think I'm surprised by how much I disagree with you guys.
I think there is something to, oh, let me start on it for like, I guess the kind of player
that I am.
Because for me with Mario Kart, when Mario Kart has typically had the, oh, customize your
vehicle, look at these stats kind of thing.
I usually don't like that.
For some reason in this game, it works a lot more.
And I think it's because they lean into it a lot more.
Yeah, they kind of force you because there's not that many generic carts.
Yeah, there's like a generic thing.
There's like two or three or four.
There's like four or five, right?
Maybe they're there.
And then you have to like actually build out the rest of this.
And that's thing.
They have like five archetypes.
And then even with those, you can scroll through different versions of those.
And then if you want to go further, you can actually customize the cart because
you're unlocking more parts as you go.
And so the process of trying to figure out, okay, what is my play style?
what works for me like what kind of player am i going from all right we try it a standard card
now i don't like that let me try an acceleration cart no okay maybe like a big one and then i ended up
using um metal sonic with the like snowboard thing they got which they call gears um i use metal sonic
on like a shadow the hedgehog gear uh and that is so cool to be you listen you know just edgy dead
i'm the cool kid on the playground um but yeah zeroed in on that and then they have gadgets as well
which is basically think about like a,
it's almost like a license plate design,
but then they have slots where you can slot in different perks.
And as you go,
that's really cool.
Yeah,
and it's really cool.
And you can,
as you go,
as you progress,
you unlock more slots for those perks,
up to six.
And in mixing and matching that stuff,
I thought that stuff had so much depth
and so much cool shit to it too,
right?
Like,
I ended up zeroing in on,
all right,
I want to,
I really like the drift system,
like you said.
And there's one of those perks
that allows you to essentially fill up
that drift meter faster.
And that for me,
like that was the lock in moment where oh this feels right now like this is the way i want to play so
between that between a perk that lets you go faster um like right when you collect rings almost like kind of
like a boost kind of thing um there is one that gives you rings upon doing the initial boost at
the start of a race if you do if you time it right um figuring out what that um load out looked like
for me i thought was super cool and then yeah from there it was zeroing in on okay i know what i'm doing
here and the
I thought the progression, like the
difficult progression was also very interesting.
Yeah. The rival system
that we've talked about and I think been confused about
I've been mostly the confused person. I've been texting
him being like, so how does this work? And he's like, it's pretty
simple, Roger. And I'm like, I don't know. This is confusing
the hell out of me. Yeah. So basically
there's a rival system where
as soon as you choose your character
and you're choosing a Grand Prix, it'll hit you
with Amy Rose is your rival
and she's level two.
And sometimes it'll be like, all right, you got
Amy Rose or Big the Cat can be your rival and like Big the Cat will have like one more
like rival level to it. So that's how you kind of upgrade and move forward through the difficulty
levels. Um, I, by the time I, I had that shit like, I think two away from the highest
no way. Oh yeah. You're gamer. And that shit like I really like that as like the thing of,
okay, let me just periodically move that up. Um, sort of thing. And yeah, like, I don't know. The gameplay
loop of it for me just worked so well. Um, like I was caught. I was caught in it.
The perks that you're talking about.
I did like that.
I liked having the kind of like the more passive, like ability stuff.
I was kind of surprised at how much I didn't like the just normal items and levels.
Like I feel like the way that they function like some of them, you know, it's just, you know, standard card stuff.
But I feel like some of the some of the other ones were just kind of like, again, noise comes up a lot when I think about playing this.
And it kind of reminds me in the initial the arcade developers being behind this and Roger even bringing up cruising.
It's like this does feel very like one of those type of arcade games where it feels like you can take this game with the game feel that it has and put it in arcade with the wheel with the wheel and it would control very similarly to controlling this with the controller.
And that to me is caught somewhere between a compliment and being derogatory.
I'm not I'm not sure, but if that's what you're kind of going for and you're looking for that type of car racer experience, I do think that this has the depth to kind of back all that up in a way that Cruz and Blast on the Switch didn't.
I loved that, but that was literally just arcade.
This does feel like there was enough sense of progression and things for you to try out that you'll want to keep coming back.
Yeah.
And I think that worked for me.
The way that I played, the way that I played this game felt like the way that I played a cruise and blast, right?
Like, you know, I remember during the preview feeling like more analogous of, oh, man, no, this is Mari car or all that shit.
But like, no, yeah, there's a feeling here that feels more arcadey.
And I think it works for me more for what I want.
out of a Sonic racing game versus
like any other kind of mascot character
because like going back to talking about
the visuals I think because it feels so
fast and frenetic
for me that feels authentic to what Sonic is
right like there are times where I'm in a
level where there's so much happening and I'm
like oh this is why Sonic works because
it's all just lights and sounds
it's all just lights visuals sounds
and shit happening and once you're like
for me once I'm locked into it and once I
find the control of it I'm like
there's a rush to it that I
I really enjoy.
There's a sonic rush to it that I really enjoy.
Yeah, when it goes back to the items,
I agree with you, Tim.
There are some items here that I'm like,
okay, well, when I'm playing them,
I know them and I'm very excited about them,
but there's some of them that just become noise.
Like, specifically there is, like,
the tornado that also feels like you can kind of just use it whenever,
and it kind of, like, sucks things in,
but it also stops certain things from coming down on you.
Like, a lot of them filled a lot of the same buckets,
for me, at least.
Like, they didn't feel, like, hyper unique.
like when you're playing Mario Kart,
you know what each of these do
and they serve a specific purpose.
A lot of them just kind of did
the same thing as the other thing
or at least countered certain things
that I'm like,
oh, that feels like the tornado
shouldn't counter this thing,
but I guess it does.
See, but that's what I think that's why
I kind of like it.
Interesting.
There's more, for me,
it felt like there were more options
for countermeasures in this game
where the amount of times
where I have an item that's coming at me
and I had something where I'm like,
let me just throw this backwards
and see if this works for defending.
And it worked, right?
So many of those things worked,
which made me feel a better sense of control
than I typically get in cart racers.
Like it feels less about the chaos
and more, pun intended,
and more about,
and more about like the,
all right,
what do I want to hold on to?
What do I want to get rid of?
And I like that a lot of them
have like multiple functions to them
because the tornado,
the tornado for me is the exact same thing
as like that horn that you have in Mario Kart.
But there is also a horn situation, right?
There is another one, right?
That's kind of like blasts outwards.
That's what,
that's what I'm saying.
Like there's a few of the,
that just kind of feels like very similar.
Yeah. Gotcha.
But yeah, I totally, I totally agree with what you're saying,
especially when it comes to the rival system.
Like there's, I can see there's depth there,
but the way that they implemented it,
going back to that is like a little weird
because like it's not just, like I thought it was going to be
kind of like the Mortal Kombat thing where you just like,
you beat one rival and you go to another rival.
And it is technically that,
but then you can just change your rival whenever
and it's kind of randomized.
And that was like the kind of a little bit of a half fake step
where I thought it was going to be like every person
has their own rival and then you can kind of like focus in on that but you can just switch it out
which i guess is a good quality of life thing but it just it confused me a little bit yeah i'm overthinking
it i think it is a it's a weird system at first that clicked in for me like part way through but i
still think it's like a little bit clunky because you're right it is all it's all random they do
have it to where if you go to your rival menu right it's another character select um if you want to
change your rival character um it'll show like a checkmark next to the ones that you've already
beaten and so the idea there is like oh yeah beat every kid you're
character as a rival.
And I think that's cool.
I think the reason why I like it is because, one, it gives the option for like the
Moral Combat Fighting Game thing of now as I'm entering races, I have somebody that's
talking to me.
Like, I have some, like, big the cats talking shit to Metal Sonic.
Yeah, that's cool.
And they have like a lot of unique dialogue to it too.
And that stuff's great.
I mean, I think that that's really the strength of this game is like leaning into
that stuff because they know that's what Sonic fans want.
It's like these like weird little pairings and things.
And like even not even weird ones.
like the parents we expect, like we want to see them talk to each other and make it feel like
they're not just like avatars of the characters, but they're at the actual characters racing against.
Yeah, and it's fun because not only is that at the beginning of races, but then you'll have dialogue
in the middle of races where if they pass you, they might say something.
Or if they're in first place and they're choosing the cross world, they'll, yeah, they're choosing
the cross world.
They'll usually say something.
So I think having that amount of dialogue really works for it.
And then also reminds me of, I feel like Mario Kart has always had.
And like, I think a lot of car races have always had kind of like the secret.
mechanic of there usually is a rival. Like usually there is a
another racer that is always second place or first place alongside
you, but they don't really point at it. It's more so that just the thing of they want
you to have something that you're competitive with throughout the Grand Prix. So for
Sonic Racing to call it out and be like, yo, no, let's turn that into an actual system.
That way, not only is it, oh damn, Sonic's always second place or first place
in these races, it's more so, oh, I have an actual rival here. Like there's an actual
like mechanic around it. I don't know.
I think that's a really smart addition here.
What do you think about the courses themselves?
Any standouts to you or any disappointments?
Or overall, you're just thinking they're kind of okay?
Overall, I think they're good.
I don't necessarily have, actually, no, I do have standouts.
I liked the ones that are like, so you go through seven Grand Prix
and then you have like an eighth one that you can unlock,
which I think might be called either the special cup or the secret cup or something like that.
And that's the one that has the levels from the most.
recent games. And so they have a level
from Sonic Frontiers. They have
a level from... Generations and superstars.
Generations and superstars, right? That one
I really like for, like,
them being the representative, hey, you know
what these levels are. Outside of that,
I think a lot of them sometimes felt like
generic
in a way that, like, I almost wish you
had just way more straight up Sonic levels.
Like, I appreciate when you do
like a, oh, here's a mall, like here's a museum,
here's that, like, those are cool.
But after doing that,
when I was like, oh yeah, like all of these should just be straight up sonic levels because these are like this is where it feels like they shine. That said, I like a lot of the cross worlds. I like a lot of the portal levels that they take you to because of the ones that feel like they put the TLC into all right, because of this is a moment in the race, we're going to make it feel like a moment. So one of the crossroads is straight up like a casino level and like that shit was popping. Another crossroads has you like, you know, flying through this subspace kind of area. Another one has you like, you know, driving between dinosaurs and shit. And I think,
Those feel a bit more alive and inspired and more like bespoke set piece moments in ways that I appreciate as a second lap.
Like those break things up pretty well.
Do you think there was enough of those or were they getting kind of repetitive for you as you were playing through the game?
I was surprised that like they, it felt like there enough.
I think before this game released it, I would have wanted like a lot of them.
In I Jen's review, they said there's 15.
And it wasn't until the way I played this game, I did like, basically I did a grand prix a day.
and I don't think
I earned the trophy of
do every cross world
toward like the end of that experience
and so like I was able to do
most of the Grand Prix
without re-experiencing a lot of them
and then also once you do
all the Grand Prix
it then unlocks it so that any
any course can show up
as a cross world
so that then expands it by like a huge amount
that's cool yeah
and so I felt like it was a decent
I felt like it was a good amount
yeah playing it
next to Leanza was a great experience of her popping off at all of the references and all the adventure ones.
What was it the pumpkin?
The pumpkin hill zone?
Yeah, Pumpkin Hillzone one.
She was having a blast.
It was great to play with a real Sonic Sicko, like a true one right next to me and be like, hey, this is popping.
The music is incredible.
I know we're skipping around a little bit, but the music is fucking awesome in this game.
It blew my mind, and I didn't, again, recognize a lot of the music because I had not played a lot of these games in the past.
but it just sounds really good.
These remixes are really something special.
Yeah, it makes it stand out.
Metal Fellow says this is the Sonic Generation's equivalent for the franchise.
So much representation from mainline games.
There's so many references to new stuff, not just the games, but TV shows, movies, etc.
Do you think that they did a good job of feeding the Sonic fans?
For the most part, yeah.
I think the character roster is fucking awesome.
I really appreciated that as a thing.
Like, from seeing, you know, I'm not even a middle Sonic person like that.
I was talking to Roger before.
I was like, yeah, give me mecha Sonic.
Which is crazy that that's two different things.
Yeah.
No, as a kid, it confused me a lot.
I was like, why is there metal and why is their mecca?
Turns out mecca's why.
You stumped Lanz on that one because I was like,
mecha sonic should, you mean metal Sonic?
I'm like, no, there's two different people.
There's a mech or mind.
Big mecha sonic fan.
I think what it was, it must have been some like fan-made thing.
Is it because you just didn't play CD?
Probably.
I think it was because I didn't play CD and do you remember Super Mario Brothers Z?
It was like a new ground thing.
You closing your eyes before you say, of course.
Yeah.
It was like a Newgrounds fan-made Mario crossover Sonic,
anime essentially, fan animation.
And I think they had Mecha Sonic in that, if I remember correctly.
So I think because of that, I attached myself to Mecha Sonic,
which is the most Sonic to Hedgehog fan thing I could say.
I love it.
I'm proud of you.
Thank you.
Sadly, no Mecha Sonic in this game.
But I think the character also they had, like, I'm looking at metal.
I'm looking at, like, the kid from fucking Frontiers.
I'm looking at the people they have.
This guy didn't know that the vector was a detective.
I had no idea.
I thought he was just a cool fucking alligator.
That's crazy.
That's crazy, y'all.
So, yeah, I think from that, that was good.
And then, like, honestly, from the levels, there wasn't much that I was like,
damn, this is this, damn, this is that.
But, like, I think there were overall vibes that I was like, okay, yeah, this fits, you know,
like the casino cross world.
I'm like, it doesn't seem like any specific casino level, but Sonic, the vibes.
The vibe.
Yeah, like Sonic games have.
have casino levels.
Apparently it's from Sonic Heroes.
Roulette Road?
That's what it's saying.
That's what this random article is saying.
Oh shit.
Send it.
It's random article to you.
I got you.

purchase. And we are back with more Sonic Racing Cross Worlds. Plus, what do you want to go from here?
I want to talk about the locked characters. Yes, please. Because this is something that saddened me.
And this is, I think part of it is just, we're at in 2025 with video games and lockable characters and all this stuff.
But, you know, we're playing this game in the review period. Yes. And you turn it on, you go to Grand Prix, you see the
to select screen.
And then you see slots that are for characters
like Hatsunameiku,
or a Joker or SpongeBob.
Or Ichibon.
Or Ichibon.
Or Ichibon.
And you scroll over to them
and what did they say?
Well, for Ichibon,
Hotson, Hotson, Muk,
and Joker.
Thank you.
It says releases in October
or releases in November
or releases in December.
Or September, which we were in September
and I was like,
whoa, whoa, whoa,
get me Hatsune Miku.
What's happening right now?
It is September right now.
Yeah.
Hatsunemiku is out.
Yeah, it's out now.
It's out with the launch of the game.
We got it a few days ago so we can actually play as her.
Yeah, it was just a weird release strategy and something that I think is a huge misstep
on their part for multiple reasons.
One, this should be unlockable characters.
These should be the things that people kind of work towards, maybe use some of their,
what are the names of the fucking cards that we get in the game?
The points do you get in it?
Oh, the tickets?
Yeah, what do you call it?
What are they just called tickets?
No, it's a guy.
It's a guy with the hat and he's like, it's his.
It's his tickets.
Is it?
What do we?
Yeah, it's the guy that we were like, who is this guy?
And they're like, oh, he's from the other racing games.
Like, who is this guy?
We don't know this guy.
Does he start with a D.
Yeah, something like that.
Is it like Dodon?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
So whatever.
That should be the something you can unlock.
Is it the Dompah?
The Dompah?
Actually, Dangan Rompah.
Is it Dangan Rompah?
I'll walk into the bottom.
Dodon.
Oh, okay, I got it right the first time.
Did you?
But yeah, having.
these characters, specifically the fact that they're free,
locked behind
month exclusives for a $70
game is very bizarre.
Specifically when people I see online are like,
man, I'm excited.
I want to play this Ichibon.
Well, they have no incentive now to buy this video game.
They're going to wait for it to go on sale
and then purchase it whenever Ichibon comes out
or inevitably when, you know,
the character that they're waiting for comes out.
Because all other free characters that they're teasing out there.
Not just the DLC packs.
They have other free characters that say, hey,
we're going to release these over time.
So it was just a disappointing situation.
And also the DLC characters, at least the only one that we have with DLC,
the free DLC that they have over here from Hatsune Miku,
I played as her, she's Hatsunimiko, she does the thing, that's great.
But she doesn't have any of the interactive elements where you have a rival and you talk to that,
that character talks to you, but you don't talk back.
Which is, I get it, guys, but it's also uniquely frustrating for Hatsune Miku,
a character that is a vocaloid where you can just type in whatever she can say,
and then she can say anything.
So the fact that they didn't put that in the game
and they have these characters feeling lesser than
is a bit frustrating when
you know, in Sonic Transform Racing
you know, I mean we had Reckett Ralph and we had the spy
from Team Fortress too and they all kind of felt about the same
so to have this one have at least missing that specific thing
a little frustrating. Yeah, it's funny how early on
in the lead up to this game there's been the back and forth
of like oh it's called Crossworlds it's going to have like a lot of crossover stuff
and then like from the debut was like oh no okay I guess it's not that
And then, like, as we got trailers and teas and stuff, it's like, oh, no, it is doing that.
And having this game in month one, it's like, oh, it's not that.
So funny.
It's so funny.
If you're playing this game at launch, Hotsony Miku is the only crossover thing they have going on here.
And with time, you're going to get the other characters that we're talking about.
But it feels weird that, like, I don't know.
For a game that feels like it is trying to lean into that stuff, it also feels like it's trying to lean away at the same time.
Like, they're trying to have their cake and eat it, too.
Being a sonic thing, like, hey, let's make sure this is Sonic.
But also we're going to have a lot of, it's like, well, I don't know,
month one feels like cool.
It's not a crossover game, even though I'm sure by the time it gets to December,
it'll feel a little bit more like it is.
Yeah, for sure.
I got to play, I didn't play much online because they didn't turn on the online
until I think maybe yesterday or the day before.
Played one race.
It was fine.
I mean, it was fun.
I got first place.
I'm murked everybody.
But it also feels limited.
When I went, when I went into the online mode,
they essentially put you in a lobby, let you matchmake,
let you vote for a course and that's about it.
You can play with friends if you want to, but it didn't seem like there was a way if you're
like just jumping in to do like a Grand Prix or do like multiple races in a row.
Seems like you're just matching for one race at a time, which I thought was a little whack.
And then they have a race park mode, which is I tried it during the preview or we tried
it during the preview and tried it once again in this final build.
It's in the menu, it says recommended for multiplayer.
And so I didn't play much of it because I didn't have people to play with.
because I'm lonely.
But played it for one thing, did another team race, and that mode seems fine as well.
Like, if you're in a party setting, I could see where maybe that's a way to like,
if you wanted to do co-op or friends, maybe that could be fun kind of thing.
But playing it solo, I didn't really see a reason to want to go back to it.
Speed of going back to it.
Do you see yourself sticking with this game?
Are you going to be playing this at all anymore, blessers?
Now your fun was had, you're putting it down.
I think my fun was had.
after I've gold trophied all of the main Grand Prix
when they drop the LLC I'll come back to it
because there's a couple more Grand Prix
that they have just locked waiting for the DLC drops
SpongeBob
Yeah, dude, I'm doing that.
I'm for sure going to visit that SpongeBob level.
Are you kidding me?
You don't think he's going to talk to anybody?
You think he's going to just be silent?
I mean, if Hotsony Miku is silent, then yeah, I think.
Yeah, but you're paying for these characters.
That's the weird part about this.
Like, these are the ones you're actually paying for.
Yeah, but you're paying to, like, racism.
Yeah, I want them to talk to Sonic, though.
I want Spongebob to say so that it.
What is SpongeBob going to say to Sonic?
Yeah, he would.
That's what you would say.
He would laugh at him.
He'd be like, oh, you're so silly, Sonic.
And then they would kiss.
You got to pay extra for that.
Nick Lodi is freaking out.
But yeah, I think I feel the same way about this
as I feel about like Mario Kart World, right?
Where I did the Grand Prix.
I got first place in all of them.
And now I'm kind of like, well, I guess I could keep unlocking
gear, but I don't really have anything
that I'm really building towards in that way.
So I think after this, I'm putting it down until TLC, and then I'll do that and then put it down again.
Roger, where are you at?
Overall, with that.
Yeah.
It's such a weird review season right now.
There's too many games.
And, like, I think it's kind of also hindering this is that there's some other redactives that I really want to play.
That I'm like, fuck, I just want to play those instead of this.
But I'm going to pick it up when the Switch 2 version comes out.
I'm hopefully that has a few more of the DLC level so I can really kind of sink my teeth into that.
And I think, depending on the size of this game, what were you playing on?
I was playing on PS5.
What about you plus?
I'll play on PS5.
Okay, cool.
Me too.
The,
depending on the Switch 2 version,
which guys,
I'm just going to do a plea to Sega,
this game got to be under 15 to 20 gigabytes on the Switch 2.
Because if this game is more than that,
it's,
I'm deleting this,
isn't it?
I'm downloading it once,
I'm like,
okay,
buy.
The W.
WWE always has to have a place.
That's 85 gigabytes.
That's where my,
I have space for that and nothing else.
All the other games have to be sub 15 gigabytes.
So yeah,
if the game is small enough,
I can see this being on my switch.
Honestly, I could see this being on my switch longer than Mario Kart World, depending on the size of it.
Wow.
Yeah, that could be the default cart racer.
You've been collecting all the red rings?
Yeah, I've been actually trying to do that.
It's fun.
It's super fun.
It's a nice way to go back to the levels and kind of like have an incentive.
And you get some more of the don't don't tickets if you get for every red star you get.
It's a good time.
Which fun fact, I didn't mess around with it too much.
But after you beat the game, you unlock like friendships.
I don't know if you've got into the, yeah
you unlock friendships where
you go into this menu and
it's another character select thing where you see all the
characters and you can gift them
the Dodon tickets
and you increase your friendship
levels with those characters. Oh.
What does that do? No idea.
That's the thing you can do.
They throw the races for you.
They start beating up people like, you go, you go.
That's fun, that's cute. That's cute little thing. I like that.
Actually, I think you get like
cosmetic stuff, but don't quote me on that. I can double
I can double check.
Okay, well, that changes a lot of things.
Because that was one thing I was going to start talking about is that cosmetics don't really exist
from what I've gathered and what we talked about with PR people.
Like, there's no skins for Sonic or any of these characters.
There's no different cosmetics for Hatsunimiku, which is a huge deal for me.
So that's a bit disappointing.
Again, when it comes to longevity of this and me going back to this, if there was a bunch
of cosmetics, if I could really unlock like Sonic Adventure 2 Sonic and Shadow, like, fuck,
I would be playing this game all the time.
time, but the fact that it's, oh, no, you can upgrade your vehicle, that's not as exciting to me.
So, reading from the IGN review, it's funny how, like, I feel like they're in the same
place as me. I also have to dig into the friendship system more, as it'll take thousands of races
to complete if your goal is to maximize your ranking with each character. Instead of funneling tickets
into car parts, you can give them to your favorite characters to receive cosmetics like titles,
decals, and alternate costumes in return. Okay. So I need to dig into that. That's exciting about that. Okay. I'm
I'm going to find a full list of that.
Kabob Super Chats asking, does I have a story mode like transformed and Team Sonic racing?
No.
No.
And that was kind of a bummer too for me.
I feel like that would have been something.
I'm like, all right, well, I at least want to see this through to the end.
I would love that.
Anything else, Roger, earlier, you were saying that we want to, you want to dive a little deeper into something.
I know.
I know.
I think it was the DLC characters, just the main thing.
Yeah.
Just, a man.
Hatsunamiku.
Hatsunamiku is just what a, what a fumble.
You know what a fumble.
I didn't realize you're this big of a Hotsony Mukieland.
I am because of Leanzah, and I want her to be happy when it comes to this stuff.
And she saw it and she was like, it's not good enough.
And she walked away.
She's just a hate her.
She's not good enough.
She's not good enough.
I, one of the things we can talk about, because now we're here, right?
We're here.
The game's out.
We can now look towards the future of Sonic.
Oh, okay.
I like this.
Just in general?
Just in general.
Because we get a Sonic game yearly.
Around this time of year, you're always getting a new Sonic game.
And I feel.
even though you guys disagree a little bit,
but you can let me know what you think.
Like,
I feel like they're getting a bit better.
Oh,
hey,
to be clear,
I'm fully with that.
And like,
I,
even for this,
this wasn't the massive step up of,
oh,
my God,
Sonic Carbacers are there to me.
But I think that like,
oh,
yeah,
this is definitely easily one of the better ones.
Yeah.
Like,
debatably even the best.
I just also think that I can't be comparing it to a game that came out
in 2013 with,
uh,
transformed,
right?
Like,
we're talking about 20,
of where we're out with these games.
So yeah, I mean, like, there is a good game here for sure.
It's just not what I'm necessarily looking for from cart racers.
But, yeah, I feel like Sonic's been on an incredibly high quality relatively
tear the last couple games.
And even then, it's like, I think we can almost start taking off the caveats.
Like, it's like, oh, no, there was like some legit good games, if not great games.
Shadow generations.
Absolutely.
Literally, what are the ghosts?
Like, I'm trying to find, I'm trying to find the Metacritics, right?
Because, like, Sonic Racing Crossworlds, right now, Metacritic is sitting at an 83.
IGN gave it a 9 out of 10.
Which is wild.
Which is wild.
But like Sonic Cross Shadow as far as I remember was well received.
At least we received it well.
Sonic Superstars before that, that was a pretty good game, right?
Like even Sonic.
I feel like Superstars was a overall kind of, I don't want to say blemish, but like a
step down from what expectations would be with like where the high persona was.
But dude, it's a 7 out of 10.
Yeah.
And like Sonic Frontier.
It's not a six.
It is not like a, where we used to be with Sonic, where it's like, oh, man, if it was seven
to be exciting.
It's, we're at a point now that we're expecting eights.
And Sonic Frontier's messy, messy video game, but also, I think did a lot for a lot of
Sonic fans in the audience, for at least freshening up the franchise, doing something
different.
And like, I think for some people delivered, for a lot of people understandably, it's like,
what the fuck is this?
So, like, now that we're here where it feels like, you know, Sonic's getting better and
better.
Where do you think we go from here?
And we have to go Frontiers, too, right?
Like that has to be next.
Does it have to be?
We're always talking about it.
When are we going to do adventure rematch?
Okay, so that's a, that's a conversation that I'm always willing to have.
Any day, any week, any time.
You can call me at 3 a.m.
We'll start talking about it.
I desperately want them to do that.
I just don't think they will do it.
Like, at this point, like we had the moment.
I think this year would have been the time to do it.
You're right.
We had the movie.
We had everything.
Like, everything was aligning for this.
And if they're not doing it, then they're not going to do it in the future.
I've said it a million times that, like, I think that a Sonic Adventure and Adventure 2 remake is almost an unworthy endeavor because they're setting themselves up for failure.
It's like it's just so hard.
The expectations of the people that are actually excited for those games will simply never be bet.
And the games themselves, no matter what they do to plus them up outside of the Sonic sphere, it's not going to catch on.
You have to have to literally have your cake and eat it too with you have to do the dual video game situation
where it's like, okay, we made the original version of this game exactly the way you remember it,
but it feels better.
And then also if we're going to remake this, we also have that in that same package and it's different
and it's unique and you can play both of those things.
If you change that too much, if you make the voice acting good, people don't want that.
No, exactly.
You don't want to play Sonic Adventures 2 that is good.
You want it to be bad.
That's the Caps 22 of the whole adventure remake conversation.
So I still think an adventure three is more likely than those.
I also don't think that's likely.
Like I do,
I'm with Bless that the next project probably Frontiers too, right?
Like there was a lot of good ideas there.
A lot of good game there.
I think they can take that a bit further than where we left off.
And they seem to be very happy with the world that that game has.
And like the way the characters are in that world,
like they keep going back to it.
The D.LC was super epic from, I didn't play it,
but from just watching YouTube videos.
I'm like, people seem hyped on it.
Yeah.
I mean, I would be down for Frontiers, too.
Actually, I really love Frontiers.
So, yeah, I would be super down for our Frontiers, too.
I could see maybe it's time for another 2D one.
I mean, Heroes as well.
I guess, dude, if you, I mean, that's always, that's been the rumor, right?
Well, did you see that in the same way that Sonic Unleashed was PC ported?
There's a Sonic Heroes, the fixed version is what they're calling it.
Wow.
That's huge, actually.
I might have to look at it.
I'd do a stream.
Yeah, Barry, can you try to look it up a YouTube video for that?
Sonic Heroes fixed version
It's funny how many Sonic games
you can do that for
Everyone
Oh, Jesus Christ
You got me
You got me, Barry
I'm sure
They've done a Sonic O'S six
I just love just knuckles
on the background
Just
It's so good, dude
They're working on a 6 PC port
Or a PC upgrade
Okay I was gonna say
Because I feel like that that's the one
Honestly that's the one that's the one
Obviously that's the game that has
The most like
I guess potential
as far as like how it could hit if you fixed everything.
A good Sonic, think about the timeline.
A good Sonic 06 coming out
would have led to the utopia.
Donald Trump wouldn't have been president.
Everything would have been better.
Sonical 6 was good.
Yeah.
I mean, we don't need to spend time doing it
because we've had this conversation a million times.
But like, I've never.
Sonic 06 preventing Donald Trump's election.
That exactly.
I've never been more excited for a video game
than seeing the trip.
for 06.
Like legitimately,
when that dropped to D3,
for Sonic's
10th anniversary or whatever,
no,
maybe it was 15th.
I don't fucking know.
I lost my shit.
I was like,
this looks,
nothing could be possibly
better than this.
It's so fucking cool.
And then the game came out.
God.
You're like graphics can't get better than this.
But you're saying that you think
2D might be next up,
I'm a little concerned
that 2D might be dead for a bit.
Like,
I don't think they look upon superstars.
No,
they don't.
They were talking about sales of it,
not being like where they needed or where they expected.
And also,
superstars kind of did feel like,
eh,
let's just put out a project.
You know what you mean?
And like that,
and I don't want to be dismissive of superstars because it's good.
Like,
there's a lot of cool things I liked the abilities the characters had.
Like,
there was a lot of smart stuff in that.
But clearly people wanted mania too.
You know what I mean?
People wanted it for a 2D game.
They wanted something a little bit different than what superstars ended up delivering.
That's the thing is that it sounds,
I think,
less likely than ever currently because the sales of the 2D game
not being as high as they want them to be.
And also a lot of just shady shit going on with the mania two or mini a team just like two weeks ago or something that was like leaked concept art or like stages and stuff from the follow up project to mania.
And like that stuff being like leaked kind of just feels like okay cool.
There's a dead project somewhere.
Yeah.
It's like I just don't see him going back.
But I hope that I'm wrong.
Do you and I as I wear the shirt, right?
I mean, I know it's a meme.
But like do you think we actually.
have any
possibility of having a shadow video game
in any way, shape, or form.
Shadow generation is very good.
That was it for sure.
What do you mean?
I mean, I'm just saying, that was a huge part of the sales
of that video game.
The game did pretty well from what we've gathered, right?
Like that game, yeah, yeah.
So, like, why don't they look at that and say,
hey, let's parlay this and make an actual shadow video game?
Because I think that that literally was their shadow video game.
I'm saying, like, but I'm making another one.
But I don't, I don't think it did that well.
I think Sonic's still caring.
Yeah.
I don't think they would, if they separated Shadow out from it and just put out Shadow the Hedgehog,
I think they're too scared to do that.
It doesn't have to be Shadow the Headshot.
Maybe it's Shadow, Sonic Shadow Generations 2.
Maybe it is Shadow and Sonic combined together as like a dual team-up video game.
I just think that there's enough juice in having Shadow be its own spinoff title in some way, shape, or form now in 2025, then there ever has been.
Like, there clearly is.
I mean, with Keanu Reeves and with the movie and with like people knowing Shadow and the amount of merchandise that fucking Shadow specifically moves now is there's something going on with Shadow.
Like Shadow, people know this character.
People know this character. People love this character.
You laugh.
I'm dead ass serious.
People love Shadow the Hedgehog unironically at this point now.
It has become the meme and now it's to the point we're like, oh no, we like this fucker.
So it's like Knuckles ain't doesn't have that motion.
Amy doesn't have that motion.
Tails definitely doesn't have that motion.
Shadow is the only guy.
You got a,
I don't think you're wrong at all.
I just think that we literally just got that.
Like,
I think that the...
We got to make a sequel then.
I mean,
so soon.
I'm not saying next year.
I'm saying like two years of now.
I feel like Shadow is the kind of thing
that you have to wait.
You have to like wait for demand to build.
They just meant to demand.
It's already here.
No, but like we just had the year of Shadow last year.
You can't run back to your shadow two years later.
You don't make a year or Shadow.
It's like Luigi's Mansion.
It doesn't mean the year of Luigi's every year.
Yeah, but they're not putting out Luigi's Mansion every other year.
They didn't even put out of Luigi mentioned in the year of Luigi.
Yeah, exactly.
You got a fucking new Super Mario Bros.
You bonus in the enhanced version.
Green case, though.
I just want you to open your minds and your hearts a little bit.
I think you're very, you're very anti-Shadow, and I want you to love for a little.
I mean, I fuck with Shadow, but I'm also like, you just, you got to be real.
He's the ultimate life form.
I mean, he is, yeah.
I guess, yeah, I know, well, I'm trying to think of, if I'm...
It doesn't need to be the gun video game where he's running around with a motorcycle or anything.
that you don't do any of that you do shadow generations but it's its own video here's the thing right
you got to put out something like if i'm planning if i'm planning you're the CEO team sonic
he's right i'm doing the i'm doing the thing where i'm like okay if i'm planning out the next three
years of sonic right like one of those at least one of those is going to be a 3d sonic but then what
are the other two years like i you're right the shadow is more in vogue than he's ever been
because he just had a year yeah could you put out like another small shot
shadow thing to be like, oh, this will fit the place in the same way that like,
oh,
Sonic racer,
like I think,
like,
I think,
do you do a Sonic party game?
I think,
well,
and they don't do a shadow party game,
he would never party.
I think a Shadow the Hedgehog too or something,
like a Shadow the Hedgehog spin-off video game would do better than Sonic superstars.
Guarantee.
I think you're crazy.
I think I'm guaranteed on that one.
I,
I don't think it's,
I,
I wouldn't bet on it either way.
Like,
I feel like it'd be similar.
I do not.
think it's a guarantee.
I think it's a guarantee.
No, absolutely not a guarantee.
I mean, they're listening to me.
They're my DMs.
I'll consult for them.
But yeah, I mean, I think Sonic Heroes, bring it back, remaster, remake, I could do something
with it, an original 3D Sonic, and then I think you have, like, that's the thing is,
the reason why I think 2D still has to be in vogue is that, like, for the way that they
churn these things out, like, you have to have something to fill in those gaps.
Yeah, yeah, I mean, you're absolutely right.
And, like, the other thing, too, is generations is a little weird because it was,
also partly 2d.
You know,
so it's like that is such a mix.
And yeah,
I just next year,
someone in the chat brings up that is,
Modognick says it's,
it's an anniversary year next year.
Oh, is it?
Maybe that means something.
Who knows what?
We know the number of anniversary.
It matters.
It would be the,
2025.
Is that 30?
Ooh,
that's a good year.
Yeah, it would be 30.
That's a good year.
You know what numbers in 30?
Uh-oh.
Three.
You know how many teams they have?
Or do you know how many people they have at each team in Sonic Heroes?
Do you how many adventures they've went on?
30.
Two.
35th.
You were saying it's the 35th anniversary.
Oh, that's not a good year.
It really is from 1990 to 2020.
Holy shit.
Fuck me.
Yeah, we don't like that one.
91, I guess.
What does this work?
2026.
So 91.
Yeah, 991.
I mean, it must be.
Yeah, if it's the third fifth.
Yeah.
35s aren't exciting, you know?
Yeah, that's a lame one.
Except for Mario.
Then we get Mario 35.
35.
Fuck yeah.
What a weird thing.
That was great.
Nothing for Zelda, though.
It's Sonic 35.
Sonic battery out.
That would be nuts, actually.
That would be so cool.
That'd be pretty fun.
So your bet is Heroes next year, and then after that we do Frontiers, too?
Yeah.
I think you do Frontiers next year.
I think Frontiers is next.
You think so?
I hope so.
He got so excited
You think so?
Think about it
You know you got that
In GTA 6 in one year
We're eaten
What if it's shadows frontiers
Think about that
You know I just want to say this
I've said it before
But like the dream of what I would want
From a Sonic game
Besides Manya 2
Which is simply just what I want
I want a Sonic 2D Metrodvania
Someone said that in the chat
I was like it works so well
like there's a yoku's island express i think it's called which is like a kind of like pinball
inspired a bitradvanian but like taking the gameplay style the momentum based stuff that sonic has
and like especially with like the kind of high medium low level design they have going on there can
be some really really cool shit there what's an ability you give sonic i don't know man i'm not creative
a double jump a double jump in a grappling hook yeah i mean it could be like he he gets his
friends right so you get you get a punch ability when knuckles like knuckles comes in and punches
for you, right?
So, like,
their,
his abilities
to add on to it.
It's a good idea.
When's the next
Olympics?
That's far away
because we just did the last.
They stopped doing the Olympics
games.
Yeah.
You're right.
They did.
We're done with that.
That's why Mario
will never be in the car.
We've canceled those.
We canceled the Olympics.
We're done with the Olympics in general.
We'll keep them on,
but, uh,
you know,
a certain country has to be guaranteed
to win every time,
you know.
Give me an L.A.
next time.
Isn't that crazy,
boss?
That is crazy.
But they took out break dancing,
so I don't care about it.
What?
They took it out?
Yeah.
It was in and now it's out?
Well, because that one woman made a fucking, like, joke about it.
But I also think it was like one of those ones where I think they only planned for it for one year.
Because I think it's like kind of a special event sort of Olympic thing.
But I think people hoped that it would come back and then Raygun just shut down any hope.
God.
Man, freaking Raygon.
Oh, no.
I will never forget her name.
I'll never forget what she did.
She ruined breakdancing for all of us.
Oh, my God.
That's so freaking funny.
I'm pretty sure, like, the breaking community absolutely hates Raygun.
Like, like, people bring her up unprompted of like, man, fuck, God damn it.
Prican Raygun.
Two of my friends.
It was region locked.
I want you both to listen to this.
Yeah.
Oh, shit.
Two of my friends, a couple.
Both dressed up as Reagan for Halloween last year.
And I told them to their face, I think less of you.
Like, this is.
And I was like, I also need some reasoning for why you're both, it's a couple costume, but you're both just
wearing the same thing.
Yeah.
I hate everything about this.
And yeah, I got a little mad.
It was one of those moments where G had to be like, Tim, like, you're going too far.
Is it just the couple's costume element of it that they fucked up, that you're mad or just the fact that they, everything about it?
The fact like these people of all people thought that that was a cultural touchstone that they needed to dress up as.
No.
Months and months and months.
Yeah, exactly.
It's like, disaster.
For Halloween.
I don't say all.
Those people have a child now.
Living legend, Super Chat saying, did you see the new art for Spiro 27 anniversary and the way they positioned the,
27 to look like a four,
L.O.L.
Extreme opium for Spiro 4.
I know.
I have not seen this.
I want to see it.
Yeah, you gotta find that.
But also Spiro's 27th anniversary.
Get out of here.
We can't be celebrating that shit.
Yeah, we can't be.
Like, that's insane.
30 and 35, so that's all we care about.
I'm trying to desperately to find a list of every Sonic game.
Desperately.
Because every list I find,
it's like,
oh, they're leaving out the spin-offs.
You're going on IMDB.com.
That's how desperate I am.
Is this in order?
Like boom?
Because I'm trying to figure out where we go.
All right, hold on.
I'm going to send this to assets real quick.
Yeah, I think you do frontiers.
We got to do frontiers.
It's been a while.
Origins.
I was trying to figure out what was the 2022 game.
Oh, that's right.
And what was the collection of one, two, three.
Yeah.
The year before that was Sonic Color's Ultimate.
Yeah.
Oh, we're getting Sonic Heroes.
The year before that was the Olympic Games.
Do you think we ever get unleashed, ultimate edition?
I think there's a chance.
Honestly?
I think there is.
I honestly think there is.
I honestly think.
there might be a higher chance of Unleashed than Heroes.
I would love that.
Because it's more, it's just more,
I think the reason my Tonic Colors is easier to remaster is
because it's just more of a more recent modern game.
Does that look like a four?
That does that look like a four?
I'm like trying to look at it from breaking my brain from every angle.
Where is the four?
You would almost have to like look at it sideways.
Oh, I,
it's like the top of the two and the top of the seven of the top of the four almost.
And then his wing is like,
it's the wing.
But that's that, I feel like that's really stretching.
Yeah.
That's a halo reach right there.
That's good, Roger.
We're not getting better than that, everybody.
Hey, this is Ben Gamescast.
We're about to do a screencast breaking down every single movie coming out.
The rest of 2025.
Thank you all for hanging out with us.
After that, we're doing a Lego Voyager stream.
But until next time, I love you all.
Goodbye.
Bye.
