What's up, everybody, and welcome to the Kind of Funny Games cast for Thursday, December 11th, 2025.
Of course, I'm your host Tim Getty's.
I'm joined by Blessing Adioia Jr.
Good day, Tim.
Snowbike Mike.
What up, Tim?
Greg Miller.
When your voice sounds like that, you know it was a good game.
Andy Cortez.
Hey, Tim.
I just never thought I'd see a new pod racer game.
That was like, last year we got on Emu Shed, I thought that was like, I never would have believed it.
But this is even crazier.
This, I still don't believe it.
You know, I need to see more because like, what's going on here?
But, hey, everyone, we just watched the Game Awards 2025.
You could watch our live reaction back if you want to see any of the biggest moments and our reactions to them.
But right now, we're about to break down everything we saw.
We're about to grade the Game Awards, 2025.
as a whole on the kind of funny scale and so much more running through each and every announcement.
The one thing I want to let y'all know, though, we're trying something a little different and a little fun for tomorrow's Gamescast.
I want your help.
I want your hot takes about the game awards.
There is a tweet up right now.
There is a Blue Sky up right now.
That's a BS, Tim.
It's a BS, Tim.
You got to go there.
Let us know your hot takes.
What did you think about all this stuff about the announcements, about the winners, any category, whatever it is you have to say.
Please respond to those social posts, and we are going to do a games cast with this crew all about those tomorrow reacting to your thoughts on the show.
But tonight is all about our thoughts because this is the kind of funny games cast where each and every weekday we get together to talk about the biggest reviews, previews, and topics and video games live on YouTube, Twitch, and podcast services around the globe.
If you love what we do, please support us with the kind of funny membership on Patreon, YouTube, Spotify, or Apple podcast to get all of our shows ad-free and a daily,
exclusive Gregway. What was today's about, Greg?
Today's Greg Way is, of course, about your parasycial relationship with me.
Wow. A great one to get into. And for a chance to be part of this show, submit your thoughts and opinions as YouTube super chats as we go about the game awards.
A little housekeeping for you. We're an 11-person business all about live talk shows. Today, we already did a whole bunch of cool stuff.
There was a games daily. There was a lot of super chats. Greg and Bless answering all of your questions.
A lot of hanging out. Good hanging out.
see what they were wrong about, see what they were right about.
See what Greg was oddly spot on about.
That's been peppered through the last few days,
but I appreciate blessing Eddie O'yea calling me out on that.
Thank you, blessing.
But also another shout to Greg.
Shout out to our Supergirl reacts.
The teaser trailer is out there.
Greg went.
What a fucking day, everybody.
I know.
In a way, only Greg Miller can with all of his love for DC and the super universe.
So go check that out as well.
If you're a kind of funny member, I said this already,
but Greg Way is 22 minutes about your pair of social.
relationship with Greg. Thank you to our Patreon producers, Carl Jacobs, Omega Buster,
and Delaney the Somm-twining. For now, let's start with the topic of the show.
Top of the show, of course, the Game Awards, 2025. What did we think? Snowbike, Mike, I want to start
with you. Tim, I'll kick it off. Man, I loved it. Jeff Keely and their team absolutely showed up
and showed out. This was a fantastic show from start to finish. They started very strong with a great
opening number, a really strong speech, and just never looked back.
We had some really fun, wicked, awesome game announcements that I know we're going to talk about
from Star Wars to more Star Wars.
It was crazy.
Ace Combat's taken to the skies.
I'm pumped up about all the games that we got to see.
Divinity looking very cool as well.
I'm excited for Larry and to get back in their bag on that one.
But most importantly, the awards.
We got nobody rushed off stage.
Everybody was able to give their speech.
Great point. I didn't even think about that.
It was fantastic.
Jeff had some fun with Miss Piggy.
which made me smile the whole entire time.
And we also saw a team behind Expedition 33
get the flowers they deserve.
They made a special game,
and they ran away with this award show,
and they deserved all the love and credit.
And there was a lot of great games that deserved a lot of love,
a lot of games that got to shine.
But, you know, there could only be one,
and Expedition 33 really shined this year.
What would you give it on the kind of funny scale?
I'm going to give that a solid 9 out of 10.
It was great.
It was amazing.
It was perfect.
Right.
Like, it's not a masterpiece.
It's not good.
It's great.
All capitals.
Great.
Amazing.
Whatever you want to put on it,
nine out of ten.
I love you so much.
Right.
Kick the interview.
Thank you.
Let's go to Andy Cortez.
I loved it.
I thought I did great also.
You did.
Thank you.
You did really,
really good.
That's the voice of sorrows.
Yeah,
crushed the release date for Phantom Blade Zero also.
That was pretty awesome.
I thought
they had a lot of bang your ass announcements.
I thought it lost a little bit of Steve near the end.
I don't love that the last game that we saw was that multiplayer game,
was hoping that there would be one more big thing.
That seems like a really cool like penultimate sort of announcement.
Like, oh shit, this is a big deal because of who worked on this.
But other than that, man, like I'm exhausted because it was so long,
but like I just have so much fun doing this shit.
And thank you to everybody.
for supporting us doing this shit.
I would give this,
um,
I give this like a,
I give this a nine out of ten as well.
And I think a lot of it comes down to Star Wars and control that,
like those games I was not expecting.
I mean,
maybe control because of the,
the copyright thing or the trademark that happened,
but it's still like blew away my expectations for how it looked visually.
And, uh,
yeah,
I just had an awesome time.
Remember Remedy's number one fan.
Roger saw it.
So he'll come on and talk about it later.
I,
controlled about this or not.
Yeah, I still don't really know what is happening here.
I know.
Greg, can you officially like, can you explain what is happening with?
Sure, they hit me up and said, would someone like to see an unannounced remedy game?
And I said, yeah, you know, this Roger kid's obsessed with them.
And I sent him over there.
And none of us do about this?
Do I want to ruin game awards?
Oh, I don't know.
Do you understand how much stuff gets sent in here that I can't say to you?
I can't spread the virus.
Then you can't.
Nobody makes predictions.
Nobody makes predictions out there.
Terrible content.
You're right.
I guess you're right.
That is true.
I guess so.
Let's go to you next.
What would you think about this game awards?
Yeah, I thought it was great.
I thought it was a really fun time.
I don't think this was necessarily the best game awards, right?
And I think that just comes down to the level of announcements.
And that's not something that suggests hands necessarily.
You know, games are the games that are ready are going to be the games that are ready on any given year.
And so pacing-wise, I think for the first, I'd say, 80% of this show, the best-paced game awards.
I think the way in which they had the good mixture of great musical numbers,
Evan essence coming through, right?
The shout out to the Devil May Cry TV show, you know, the awards, the, I want to say the speech is being
exciting, even though they're all Expedition 33 for the most part, but even that, right, being like a
fun part of it. And then also the announcements, I think, keeping us engaged. That first 80% pace really
well. I think it dropped off heavily in that last 20%. And that can, I think that comes down to
the, I think that final announcement not hitting as far as it being that one more thing,
the final world premiere. And I think it's kind of bizarre because when you look at on paper what was
announced, you know, I don't understand why you don't just open with divinity enclosed with
Star Wars or open with control enclosed with divinity. Or like, you had the bangers here. I think
the way you position them a little bit weird in the way that they came down in this show. But overall,
though, I think it was a good time, right? Like I enjoyed the new announcements he got here. Star Wars faded
the old republic, of course, bangor announcement, Star Wars Galactic Racer, a fun surprise that has
fans of that type of game really excited, right? If somebody who loves Star Wars race,
are really looking forward to that.
And overall, it was just fun to react to trailers and hang out here.
I would give it an 8 out of 10 if I had to give it a score.
Tim, this should be a 10, though, if you told me that Mega Man is coming back.
I know.
And it was just a little disappointing.
Yeah, I mean, I'll go next there, right?
Where I say this is amazing.
Like, I don't know that I need to say, was it the best game awards of all time?
I do think it's between this and last year.
I think that the final 20% here, it was a pacing thing.
And I do feel like there was just money involved there with some of the, like, the final game
revealed. That felt like a kind of like pay to play type thing at coming out in January. Good news, right? I do like the
framing of, hey, sometimes we announce exciting games that are way far out there. This one's the next month.
That's very cool. But it did kind of feel a little like, okay, you wouldn't have chose to end with
that, right? With the, the banger show that you did have going into that. And Mega Man was so exciting.
Another reason my voice is gone. I can't believe it. Like, we heard Dr. Wiley's theme, the buildup. They,
they did what they did for Okami last year.
Like, let's have this right before the game of the year announcement.
We're going to have the orchestra play some music and leads you into this like epic reveal from a returning legend.
And it's fucking Mega Man.
And then you're just like, oh, it's it's another 2D Mega Man game in the like 2.5D 3D type looking thing.
I'm like obviously hype for it for what it is.
That didn't deserve that much of a reveal.
That was something that we needed a like, Mega Man is back.
in a way you've never seen him before.
Sure.
We needed a, and I, I'm holding this.
I'm actually holding to this.
Like, I'm not exaggerating.
We needed a God of War 2018 moment for Mega Man,
for whatever that means.
And especially with that buildup and hype
at the end of this show, we didn't get that.
So I don't know if I already said this.
Night out of 10, amazing for it.
So many games that I'm excited about.
So many moments I'm excited about.
I think there are easily the most things.
I didn't take notes on every single thing.
Normally I write down all of it,
but Greg was doing a good job in the dock of getting all the details.
I'll tell you straight up right now.
This is the best notes I've ever done.
For real.
You have links to every Steam page.
You have the thing.
I fucking crushed.
You locked in,
which allowed me to only write down the things I actually cared about.
And as you can see this one.
That's a law.
That's a lot that spoke to me.
Even like Bradley the Badger.
Fun surprise.
Rout.
Talent that were like super hyped about.
Christian Cantha Mesa.
And a similar game to that from.
last year or a recent event, which was out of words,
it's back here.
I'm excited to see that again.
Fantlead Zero getting a release date.
Very excited about that.
The genuine, oh my God, I would have never seen an coming surprise of Galactic Racer.
So cool.
And the Tomb Raiders, I think, look fantastic.
Street Fighter, that entire thing was like, that's what I live for.
I love this type of, like, if you're going to have fun with these hype things and bring out celebrities,
do it that way, you know?
I think that this is easily the best-paced show.
It's not perfectly paced show.
but this is the best pace game awards we've ever had,
even with a couple mistakes at the end there.
And Resident Evil Requiem, fantastic, Star Wars fate of the Old Republic.
Wow.
Out of all the Star Wars guesses we could have had,
that is best case scenario.
I can't believe it.
This was awesome.
And I feel like Jeff has been crushing it with the show the last couple of years.
I can't wait for more.
I don't know how they're going to keep this up.
I don't know that it's possible.
And that's okay.
But the last two years, who!
Greg Miller.
Oh, sorry, I didn't realize Greg didn't go.
Greg, go for it.
If you want to piggyback off what he's saying, feel free.
No, I just wanted to introduce something new.
Oh, sure.
Yeah, I think this is a great game awards.
I say 8.5 for me, right between the Bless 8 and everybody else is 9.
For me, looking back and going through it, I think it's similar to what you and I were
talking about on Games Daily and just the general of like, I feel like so much of this
we were getting and it wasn't that, ah, like there weren't enough of the, like,
don't get me wrong, Star Wars, fate of the old Republic.
Like, I can't fucking, the, you, the reaction is going not viral, but a lot of people are liking or whatever.
And it's like the, oh, Star Wars.
Oh, old Robles.
Oh, Casey Hudson.
Like Casey Hudson being back is so fucking huge.
But one of the notes I've dropped in there is from the Star Wars Q&A where they're like,
we're in the early stages of development.
So I was like, cool, this is vaporware?
And will I ever, is Ben going to be playing this in 10 years or will I, you know, like, whatever.
I'm excited for it tonight.
For me, that's the biggest announcement of this game awards.
There's other stuff in there that was really great.
but I don't think there was enough for me
that was amazing. And I feel like
Mega Man's a pretty great example of that.
I'm like, here's this really cool.
All right, it's Megan Man. It's like, yeah, Mega Man's back.
And, you know, a Mega Man game.
That's cool. I'm not mad at that, but it's just like, okay.
Okay.
Did you imagine if it was the side scrolling view
and then the camera zooms in and then it's fun running back.
That's my thought happening.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
I wanted to come back around because I wanted to shout at the Street Fighter moment.
I thought that was really fun.
Obviously, like, not my perfect moment based on who's on stage and all that stuff.
But, like, regardless, I think,
having that many people on stage and having just fun, weird celebrity interactions and
introducing a trailer that, you know, I agree with you, Tim, you said on the thing.
I think that was a phenomenal trailer.
I think the action in there looks fun.
I'm really looking forward to the street fighter movie.
And I think an important thing for an award show to do, especially an award show that's
now been going this long, is to create moments, right?
We remember award shows for moments.
And I think for me, that was one that's going to stick as far as, damn, oh, shit,
they got this person.
Oh, oh, shit, they got Cody Rose.
Oh, shit.
They got Centennial, right?
Like, this is fun.
I think that was such a fun one.
And then I also just wanted to shout out the game changers segment.
The girl makes game one.
That was awesome.
This is the second time they've done the game changers thing.
I think they're two for two.
I think these have both been phenomenal.
It's a great replacement for what they did with future class, right?
Which I think kind of landed on being a flop overall.
Here we have something I think is a bit more focused, a bit more highlighting of,
here are really cool things people are doing in the industry.
Let's put them on stage.
Let's let them talk.
Let's show a video of what this is so you can be aware and supported if you want to.
we want to recap the entire thing
we want to dive in more we do have something
breaking to watch right here it is the actual
trailer from Claire Obscure and the
thank you DLC they put out so I would like that
I thought we could live react to this as well
amazing that's all
PlayStation posted 15 minutes ago this one
Kevin is prepping
kids
have quite the imagination
yeah
they too
wow
wow wow
Wow.
He never showed it to me.
Look at the outfits.
Whoa.
His private hideout when he wanted to escape.
Oh, the Eskiy.
Outfit, I do that.
Whoa.
So cool.
Holy shit.
Nice try.
Oh God.
Stunct.
Holy shit.
A little magician outfit.
Andy hands.
Phon.
Oh, yeah.
What?
That's cool.
Oh, you're an artist.
Oh, my God.
I don't got to fuck around with mods anymore.
Yes.
God, that's awesome.
Get Jack, quay to the phone right now.
Oh, yes.
Your YouTube description reads,
tomorrow comes in Verso's drafts.
Rejoin the expedition on another journey
through the whimsical hideout of a young Verso.
In a landcrafted through joint,
innocence, sometimes darkness isn't covered
when imagination gets carried away.
To celebrate an incredible year
and is a sincere thank you
to the community.
The free thank you update is available now.
Our gratitude for this community goes far beyond what we're able to express,
but this update should hopefully serve as our way of saying thank you.
Oh, man.
I'm going to finally fight Simon.
I never fought him.
Yeah.
Oh, nice.
You know who did?
All of my friends.
All of them.
Current, Vincent, James, all of them have platinum expedition.
Holy shit.
Crazy.
But yeah, hey, this looks fucking rad.
A little starry night action, a little children's painting.
I love it.
Very, very cool.
Running on a xylophone, all the different costumes.
What a way to celebrate?
This is awesome.
Really cool.
I want to jump on really quick before we go into all the games.
Really quick.
Two shoutouts.
The celebrity appearances were all fantastic.
You brought up Straight Fighter.
But Lenny Kravitz and Iowa Interactive, Godstar and James Bond is crazy.
Right?
Like that was awesome.
Now we're having another elusive target and hitman.
Like so much fun.
And then finally, the game of the year, Melody.
That song was fantastic.
It all flowed every single one of them.
You could feel the beat.
You could feel the music.
Flute guy was going crazy.
He was playing things.
I don't even think we're an instrument.
It was crazy.
That was so good.
I saw him with a USB-Degg, though.
Where are you with Greg, Wes?
He didn't too big for his britches.
Now, I need y'all to know.
You need to see this man live
because he's not showing up for the camera.
That's just who this man is.
I saw him with no less,
and I'm not kidding,
12 instruments on him at one time.
time and he's on stage standing there flipping them out he does this at every show it's his dual wheel
very talented but do it too much uh you know keep doing you pedro keep doing you i'll come back around next
you want me to email somebody about getting him an interview with you okay yes please do great i would
love that um all right i think we should get into every single thing that we saw starting with the pre-show
starting with the free shepherd let's heard some sheep 2027 i think that was a big surprise
a little bit later than we would have expected for how this game looked immediately.
Pretty cool looking, but it had a nice eco vibe slash Shadow the Colossus vibe, but also not, you know?
Yeah, it's like we took that and like, is it hurtling the hurting game?
We took that and combine it with maybe that game, right?
I do love that you are playing as an actual dog.
Are you hurting in this game?
Is that the whole game?
Okay, and you're hurting.
The Steam page about this.
The Free Shepherd is a single player, atmospheric adventure, where you are an energetic and loyal sheep,
dog. Run fast and free in a beautiful
but troubled world. Heard masses of
lost sheep to a secret refuge
discover a mysterious calamity that only
you can stop.
I fuck with it. I like it. There are, this is
so unfortunate because there's some,
it looks great. There's a
there are some kind of funny community members
working on a game called Hounded.
And it is a black and white
like one of those dogs.
Like almost looks identical. At first
I was like, this doesn't quite look like the game
that they've been working on. You're like, I've seen this. Yeah.
Yeah, but yeah, it's kind of crazy.
It's like the same sort of color scale.
How did you are Duke, a determined young border collie who is searching for their lost master,
the leader of the rebellion.
Hounded by a cunning hunter, you can track, I'm sorry, can you track the scent
unearth the power of the tide and find your way home?
Hounded meant to be a lot more like stray in how it played.
It's more like behind the third person, you know, or behind the back third dog, I guess.
Third dog.
Third K-9.
I got that third dog in me.
Yeah.
The next game was decrepit.
It's a rogue like decrepit.
It's a first-person action game.
with souls like combat where every death
drags you back into the depths.
Learn the dungeon, master the combat,
and find your way out of the forsaking castle.
This looks scary as shit.
Very scary.
Like this is too scary of like,
especially because it's first person.
If it were a third person kind of souls thing,
you know,
maybe I don't have to be right up in these ugly ass things faces,
but this looks terrifying.
See, what I liked about it is somebody who's not a soul's guy.
The first person gave me such like skyrim.
You know what I mean?
Like a vowed vibes.
I'm like, I feel like maybe.
I'd want to play this a bit more personally.
When that one fucking dude was
crawling on the ground, like, I don't
want to see that coming at me.
Did you turn away because of the jaw thing, bless?
I turned away because of half the things in the straight-
Oh, yeah.
I'm gonna get a Coca-Cola.
Keep it plain, though, Kevin, because I really would just,
I do kind of want to see this man crawling in me, see if I have the same
business.
Oh, no, I hate it.
I don't like that.
I don't like that.
You're out.
Hate it.
I think they got something with this one.
Yeah?
Keep an eye on that.
Yeah.
This looks cool.
I think for my soul's boys over here, I think we got something here.
What's the other game with all the wet men?
Oh, the wet tall guy, yeah.
It's like a short word, right?
I-L-L.
I think you're right.
Ill, right?
Yeah.
A lot of big white men.
Or wet white men.
Next thing we had audio mech.
I thought this looked pretty cool.
The demo is tomorrow.
Your music paints the world and controls the action.
Each of the next three forms, bass night, vocal gunship, and trouble bomber.
React to any audio, even streaming songs.
Pretty cool.
From the creator of,
audio surf. I never heard of that.
I've heard of it, but like I can't
picture it in my mind. There's an audio surf one and
two on Steve. Yeah. Wow.
Yeah, I really liked the look of this,
but I'm not the biggest fan of like procedurally
generated music rhythm games, so
we'll see, but
I didn't know that was a genre.
Well, I mean, if it reacts to any
audio, like. Oh, you're right.
You're know.
Then we got Pragata.
I was a little
little bit off about which game we get the
demo tonight, but we got
Pragana playable. April
24th release date and
Switch 2. Pretty cool. We already
saw Capcom supporting the Nintendo
Switch 2 with a plethora
of Resident Evil games, including
7, 8, and 9, all in the same
date when 9 launches next February
27th. But yeah,
April 24th, day and date across
all the platforms. Very
different looking trailer. And different in
the way of kind of going back to what
originally was with the teaser.
but this is kind of heartwarming to see because I think we were a little concerned.
We were going to be stuck in the same.
100%.
You know, I played at SGF.
Was shocked at how much I loved that demo for how 7.5 it is.
And then, yeah, my concern was, am I going to be in the sterile space station forever?
Seeing it out in the ground, which looks like some kind of, you know, whatever, destroyed Manhattan or what I was like, hell, yeah, I'd love to do this.
I hope we get some more cool environments.
We get some more cool things to fight, more things to hack, Andy.
Remember when he teaches her to do a high five?
That show was so cute
Cute, man
I mean,
I think I'm going to have
like a fucking blast
with this game.
This just kind of seems right
up my alley.
I'm downloading the demo
as we speak.
But yeah,
it does kind of seem
like almost direct feedback
based on what most of us
were saying.
Like,
are we going to be on this
kind of derelict
alien-looking spaceship
the whole time
and them going,
actually there's other shit
to show off.
Pretty cool.
Then we had a Solasta 2.
It was just an ad, but the date was new.
Ben Starr is in it.
Early Access is March 12th, 20206.
Exciting.
This is one that, like, watching it was like,
oh, this looks cool.
And then it was already on the wish list.
And I was like, okay, cool.
When I got in there, having a date for early, that's great.
Yeah, we definitely saw it at some other showcase.
I do kind of remember us having the, yeah, it is kind of cool seeing somebody also trying
to do the.
Baldur's Gate.
Yeah.
Yeah, the higher kind of level of budget that Baldur's Gate has.
So, yeah, seems fascinating.
Then the announcement of the opening act, as far as I'm concerned, Bradley the Badger,
featuring Badger Born, The Last Badger, and Cyber Badger.
It's from a new studio, Day for Night.
Bradley, the beloved platforming icon, finds himself lost in strange new lands and decides to fight back.
Shape unfinished worlds with your game developer powers, explore a genre bending story,
and save your home in this unique action adventure you can wish list now.
Evan Peters is the actor in it, and Day 4 Night Studios was found in 20.
2024 by Christian Kanta Mesa, lead designer and co-writer of Red Dead Redemption,
and David Soliani, the creative lead on Mario Plus Rabbits' Kingdom Battle and Sparks of Hope.
They both serve as co-directors of this game.
And my God, every single thing there that we saw that I read, that looks awesome.
My one hesitation was I don't love the character design necessarily.
But as the trailer went on and we saw kind of different looks and like the metaness of it all,
I'm so here for this.
But yeah, this looks right.
is number two with a bullet right behind
Star Wars, the fate of the Old Republic,
which I don't think I may ever play.
This one is the one I was like, holy shit,
like this looks awesome. I love this kind
of thing. I love this homage
not only to other video games, but
platforming, and then obviously the entire
industry, the game dev tools being in there.
The weird narrative, clearly,
of hopping out of the VR world that
you're clearly in to talk to the guy who
put you back in. There's something going on there
I like, and with Christian behind it. I'm stoked to see it.
Yeah, I love all the missing texture
of just the checkerboard stuff
whenever something's not loaded in.
Very cool.
I'm sure we'll get,
like, I wonder if we actually
will kind of get FMV stuff like this.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, that'd be sick.
I mean, I think that's why Evan Peters
is involved, right?
Oh, but he's the voice.
I thought he was the voice of the guy.
I think we see him.
Well, right there, do we see him?
This is definitely a top three announcement
of the whole show for me.
Yeah.
This is one I cannot wait for.
And then to end out the opening
act we had, Stupid Never Dies. This is the pop punk zombies and snipers game, uh, 2026 on PS5 and Steam,
werewolves, lizard men, skeletons in a world where monsters are part of everyday life. A bottom
rung zombie named Davy braves a deadly dungeon to bring back Julia, the frozen human he loves.
Gear up for delightfully wild, blazing fast growth, action RPG, stupid never dies.
The, the action name fan and specifically both the Sudafi 1 fan and Hi-Fi Rush fan in me should
like this a lot more than I did.
I think this trailer was
almost there. The musical number
was fun, but maybe
went too long. And even when we saw the gameplay,
like, I wasn't blown away by
what we saw here. But even still,
I'm like, I would play this. This looks fun.
It just wasn't like a standout
as far as how it presented. As a zombie guy,
as a pop punk guy, as, you know, these different
things, it's one to keep my eye on. That's
where I think I am, right? This is like the, this is
the great use of the Steam Wish list.
Of clicking this and like, I want to see where this is
going because again this could either go yeah i want to play this or i never touch it but i'm interested
with the art style with what's going on the action of it this one missed the mark for me i think in
pretty much every way like looking at it on paper and some of the things i was hearing and seeing
oh i like this part i like this part but it coming together there's so much of my but i really
don't like this this and that so we'll see but i'm not i don't have high hopes for it personally
uh then getting into the full show itself uh we started off with an expedition 33
song just to kind of set the tone
and not just a song. We got the Renoir boss
fight. They knew what they were doing.
We had them come out. We had them do the entire
guitar solo. It was fucking awesome.
Was it mixed the best? No. We can all admit
that. That's okay. Oh, we know. We always
agree. That was incredible.
And we started off
so damn strong with the announcements.
Star Wars fate of the
Olds Republic. Casey Hudson
is directing in this narrative
driven single player RPG and spiritual
successor to Knights of the Old Republic. Players step into the role of a force user in a galaxy
on the edge of rebirth. Star Wars fate of the Old Republic will blend innovative storytelling,
memorable characters, and heart-pounding combat for an unforgettable experience where every decision
deepens the player's journey toward light or darkness. Concerting from the Star Wars blog, Greg,
right? Still in the early stages of development and creation, fate of the old Republic
benefits from decades of creative experiences across the collaborative
partnership. We had Cotor, and now we have Foto.
Yeah, shout out to me and Andy for literally doing the exact same thing.
We've typed it, Casey's photo popped in Google. We both click Wikipedia because I just
want to make sure I got it right. I know our audience is vast. So maybe you're an old
head and watched everything I ever did at IGN. Maybe you're brand new and just playing
video games in the last few years. Casey Hudson, of course, was the project director of Knights
of the Old Republic and then the Mass Effect trilogy. Casey's the guy who left
bio-wear and things started to go bad at one point. And he came back.
and whatever like and they left again i think but it's like Casey is one of those bioware names and so
again early development means we are far we are hiring this game exactly this is this is one of
those ones you put out so you bring people to your brand new studio or whatever we just let's go
snipe some star employees but it's exciting man it's exciting to see him behind this and then like
the i read i you know i've been on camera you've seen me the entire day i did a little bit of reading in there
how he's kept in touch with the Star Wars team for 20 years
and always wanted to do something else.
And like, here we are.
And it's like, you heard me, I think this two days ago
on Games Daily with the Cotor shit where I was like,
just stop remaking Cotor and give it to a team
to make a new Star Wars RPG.
And so for them to be doing this, music to my ears,
let's fucking go.
I wish them the best and hope for the best.
I always talk about the unicorn games.
The games that we know are years away,
but we're hoping to see at every showcase
because we know that they're not close.
but maybe we get some new announcement, maybe we get some gameplay, maybe we get something.
This is one of those games.
And I feel like we've been running out of those because so many of them have either been canceled or have released or have released and needed a couple updates like cyberpunk to actually get where they needed to be.
But I'm so stoked on this.
I do believe that one day we'll get it.
And I think that this is one that like I just said, it's either going to get canceled at some point or I do think it's going to come out and it'll be winning awards at a game awards in the future.
right now hiring senior concept artists senior systems design what's name of the studio
arcanot the i'm i'm impressed by the fact that this wasn't at like a first party thing i feel
usually when we get in new or not new ip but an ip game that is new that is this monumental right
the fact that it's appearing at game awards under the studio that it doesn't have a publisher or
anything like that super impressive and super good for kacey hudson and the team for being able to kind
of like have that autonomy on something that's this huge for all we know it may just be kacey
this studio.
The 10
jobs that they are hiring are all leads.
So we need all the best
people on this. Please don't fuck this for us, everybody.
And then the next
biggest announcement, maybe the
biggest announcement of the show,
Jeff Keely might have fucked Miss Piggy
in Boisbore. Yeah.
Wow.
Joey. Thank you, Joey.
Wild discovery.
Divinity. Simply divinity.
You know, drop the
the. It is perfect, right?
call it that. Larry in Studios,
the Hellstone is real.
The biggest game ever.
You put that there, Greg? What's that about?
They said that. That's what they said. There we go.
Bigger than Ballas Gate 3. Exactly. It's their biggest
game. Sorry, I apologize. I'll have us some words there for you.
Yeah. I mean, hey,
there was a lot of trademarks that kind of like showed this is what it's going to be,
but they kind of nailed it. Like, what a great use of the game awards after winning two
years ago. Having the whole marketing campaign,
having everyone talking about what is this?
And I don't think it let people down, right?
This is showing up and being like, if you don't know, now you know.
Yeah, this studio is now a household name, right?
We talked about best community support for the past three years.
They've won Balders Gate 3 making a massive splash on the scene.
This Larian team can do no wrong, but really they're doing the right thing here, right?
Taking off just having divinity, welcome in newbies.
Let's come and join this world.
Let's come experience what we have in store for you.
You liked Balders Gate 3.
You're going to love this.
And yeah, I'm excited to see what this team is.
is going to do to pull out all the stops.
This is definitely their lock-in moment, right?
Like, Balders Gate was, you know, using an IP,
came out was a breakout success, right?
And now it's your time to do something that is.
All right, we're working off of an original IP that we've done stuff before.
The fans of the series know, like, what this is.
How do we introduce this to the world?
To the point of the title, right?
And that cut you off there.
Oh, no, you're fine.
Okay.
Like, the point of the title, like, right, like, let's soft reboot.
Yes.
This isn't Divinity Original Sin 3.
This isn't something you need to understand and know how much about.
It's from the makers of Balders Gate 3.
Here you go, divinity.
Jump in, have fun.
You're going to care.
And let's introduce it with an expensive-ass cinematic.
And then say it's bigger than Balders Gate 3.
Like, they did this in the exact right way.
Wild.
For gift in memberships on YouTube, T-Sween.
Thank you, T-Sweens.
Thank you.
We got Four Loop.
This is Bad Robot and PlayStation.
One of the things I predict it on another fucking show,
but not on the actual prediction show, so nothing.
And to Mike's point, you know, bring out the celebrities,
have them actually have something.
of consequence to say here.
It's just your crew versus an alien invasion.
Odds are you're going to die a lot.
Thankfully, that's all part of the plan.
Mike, what's this do for you?
Left for Dead.
J.J. Abrams.
What a combo there, right?
And so we're riding the high off of hell divers
over on the PlayStation side of things.
People are craving this PVE experience
with their friends in this massive open world
doing just crazy dumb things.
And this has that formula.
Plus the team behind Left for Dead, right?
Like you talk about those names, that kind of career path and the people that love that in particular with the genre.
Like, yeah, it's got the makings of something great.
Did I like the showing, Tim?
Actually, I did not like the show.
There's something about it.
I mean, I know it's a new studio and blah, but it's like something about it doesn't look good.
And I know it's early, so there's plenty of time to change that.
But I'm not vibing with the style of it.
The character suits remind me a lot of Ex-O-Born.
Of course.
And I don't love the way that those characters look.
What was Elysium too with Matt Damon?
Didn't he wear a fucking weird ass suit?
too?
Kind of like an ecto suit.
It almost looks like an ecto or
that thing.
From control?
No,
and uh,
Obesium.
It doesn't look like a proton pack.
That's,
that's,
Andy.
Wow.
Andy.
Watch your mouth.
What's up?
Andy.
Roll it back.
No, Kevin,
go throw it back up.
Roll this thing.
It's got a fucking,
it looks like the thing
more than anything.
It's got that thing in the front of the back.
No.
It looks like dead space.
There'll be a test later.
You can start writing notes.
You're no better than the people who put the fucking
proton pack on their kids upside.
down or at Halloween. I almost, I didn't want to bring it up on content by my friend John Campione,
send me a photo of his entire family. All the pro top backs were upside down, but I'd say anything to him.
Oh, nice guy.
It feels a little bit like less run back, held iris too. Like even the tone of the trailer kind
of gives that a bit, which I don't. They said stratagems. They said straight up strategums,
which I think I can see why PlayStation would be like, yo, we want another held Irish too,
but I also think if you're going to do that, we need to find another avenue for what
held Irish two can be. Like, what's a different setting? What's a different tone? What's a different
vibe but still recreate that style of gameplay.
There's something there, but I think when you veer
too close to what that is, then people are going to look at it and go,
well, I can just play a hell divers too instead.
I didn't love the tone of it. I didn't like the narrating
or kind of this
jovial, like, you know,
voiceover that it had with it.
I don't know, I expected it to be a bit more
like serious looking.
We are going to continue going through
the rest of the announcements at the game
wars right after a word from our sponsors.
If you live for
high stakes runs, tight teamwork, and that rush when the extraction timer is ticking down,
this might be your next obsession. You've already seen us obsessing over Arc Raiders,
the multiplayer extraction adventure set on a lethal future earth where mechanized killing machines
rule the surface, and humanity hides below. As a Raider, you brave top side to loot, complete quests,
fight Arc robots, and extract safely if you can. Underground and Sparanza, you'll upgrade your den,
boost your abilities and gear up for raids.
On the surface, there are no rules,
swarms of drones,
massive robots and rival raiders make every trip unique.
Choose solo, duo, or a squad of three,
but rival players are never far away.
Team up or take their loot.
What kind of raider will you be in the Rust Belt?
Arc Raiders is available now for PlayStation 5,
Xbox series X slash S, and PC.
Coven of the Chicken Foot.
This is Bruce Straitly's new game from Wildflower Interactive.
It's the old woman with the chicken feet.
After the dungeons have been plundered
and the monsters all killed,
an elderly witch quietly gets to work
in this emotionally rich, stylized single-player adventure.
Gert will need to build a bond with a peculiar creature
if she's to fulfill a coven's oath.
Set in a stylized world that winks at the tropes of traditional fantasy adventures,
Covenant of the Chicken Foot is an emotionally rich,
charming, yet dark, creature-puzzle platformer
that invites players to reconsider who the heroes are
and how easily stories shift when told from the mark.
margins. Who wants to start? I do. I think, you know, we saw it real quick and moved on.
And obviously a million things going on. I think the general sentence was like, I don't know about
that. For me, sold. You know, Bruce leaving naughty dog and kind of leaving games for a while,
coming back and announcing wildflower, what, two years ago? I don't think it was that long ago.
Is it not that long ago? I think it might have been even maybe less than a year, maybe a year.
No, maybe a year. I remember talking about this. But anyways, coming back and be like, we're making
small games and we're making different games and then
seeing this and hearing about the angle they're
taking on it, I'm stoked for, right?
On the press release, I have key features,
you know, the unlikely hero, step in the role
of an elderly woman, da-da-da-da. A playable
relationship driven by innovative technology and
unique companion-based gameplay. Your companion
observes, adapts, and develops new
behaviors based on how you play. That's cool.
Reshaping traversal and solutions over time.
Wordless storytelling.
Piece together the mystery
through environments, gestures, and small choices,
explore fantasy realm. Like, this sounds,
different, exciting, cool.
Like, I'm, this is one to watch for me.
Yeah, like, I'm honestly,
apologies to Bruce Straitly,
because I think in my mind,
I had counted this out,
like before we saw the reveal of it, right?
Like, when we were talking about his new studio
and they had words describing
what they're working on,
I was kind of like, all right,
that sounds whatever.
Good luck we hear about new studios
every single day.
And now that we're seeing,
and I'm like, I would play this game.
This game seems really cool.
I really like the R-Style of it.
During the reaction,
I compared it to season, right?
I like something that looks,
you know,
has that very stylized look,
but also looks clean at the same time.
And everything I'm hearing,
gameplay-wise,
appeals to me.
I'm really into this.
Yeah,
I think it looks great.
I love the art direction.
I hope it's one that hits you in the fields,
and I hope it's,
I hope it hits me in the fields even more
because I'm like,
it was seven hours.
It's amazing.
You know,
like I wanted to be like a sub-seven hour.
Yeah,
it's my thing.
I think it would be even shorter than that.
Oh,
I would be just guessing.
I know nothing,
but take my $30.
Next step we had on toast,
2026, everything but switch is where it's going.
A sci-fi mystery set on the repurposed moon hotel samsara,
uncover cryptic experiments, face unsettling encounters,
and piece together a mind-bending narrative.
The deeper you go, the more truth unravels,
as you confront the ultimate question, what is reality?
Oh, I missed the part where it said from the creator of Soma.
That's really cool.
I liked the whole vibe of this.
It seems kind of scary, you know, firewashing space type deal.
I like it.
Oh, and yeah, this is the one with the Scarsguard.
The first Scars Guard, the father, right?
Yeah.
Starsguard Prime.
Shout to X Quigley sending in 50 kind of funny gifted selves.
Thank you so much.
That's amazing.
Thank you.
And speaking of amazing, Resident Evil, Requiem,
I keep being so hype for this and everything this show just gets me even more and more
stoked and confident that this is going to deliver.
Requiem for the dead, nightmare for the living.
prepared to escape death in a heart-stopping experience that will chill you to your core.
We got Gideon. We got Leon.
Grace is survival horror.
Leon is playable on the action side.
This trailer was just everything I needed it to be.
I could have used a little bit more beard.
I was hoping for more beer.
Yeah, and I'm a lot of beard.
Surprised.
We'll get it, though.
We saw it on the art that now is 100% real because the leak stuff had that other dude
that we're seeing with the weird little eyepiece thing going on,
who I love Resident Evil lore.
I am not the keeper of Resident Evil lore.
Like, I don't know at all, but I,
people were talking about maybe this being a relative of Spencer,
who's related to the origins of umbrella,
Spencer Mansion is the mansion from Resident Evil One.
I'm like, I'm all about so many of these connections.
And when you're looking at Raccoon City,
which we already knew we're going to be in,
but what we're seeing here, Leon coming back,
Leon doing his moves from four,
but with a more RE1 inspired zombie.
I'm like, this is just like everything
because we know they've knocked
it out of the park with 7 and 8
and for them to continue
the look and vibe of that, but like going
back to the things I love most about the OGs.
Cojo 1990 on Twitch
Gifting 25 subs. Thank you so much.
Of the mainline of RE games, I think now I'm at the point
where I've only not played 5, 6, and 1.
Do I got to play one before?
You haven't played one. No. Wow.
One just doesn't have the modern jump on.
Yeah. Yeah.
There's a remake.
The one remaster that got ported is amazing.
It's absolutely incredible.
I mean, yeah, it was a remake on GameCube.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
But then that became a remaster in HD, but it's incredible.
And I think that you, you have the sensibilities as a gamer, like, personally, I'm saying
this about Bless.
That's the nicest thing you're saying about.
That it's like, I know that you can kind of like wrap your heads around it
of like, okay, this is an old game, old design and like appreciate it for what it is.
Thank you, Mike.
So I would recommend giving it a shot because it's not that long.
Gotcha.
narratively, would it help me appreciate this game more?
Yeah, definitely.
Yeah, but I mean, you don't need to.
You don't need to.
You don't need to, I don't think.
But like, yeah, definitely.
There's definitely some characters and just, like, dynamics that are set up in one that
are kind of core.
But if you played two and you played three, and I know all the ones you've played,
I think you're going to be fine there.
Okay.
And then, yeah, five and six just kind of go off the deep end in terms of insanity,
as Andy Cortez knows.
Mm-hmm.
did Requiem do anything for you guys?
Yeah, I'm excited for this one.
You know, I'm, I've always wanted to love,
Jesus fucking Christ, everything's tied to my foot, sorry.
If you can plug me back in, that'd be great, because I need that.
I've loved, I've always wanted to love Resident Evil.
That was always the thing back in the day, couldn't get it, blah, blah, blah.
And then it was Resident Evil 7, right?
The Louisiana, where in the, like, that was the one.
I was like, holy shit, I love this, and I've chased that high.
I loved Resident Evil two remake so much.
You know, Village, Infamously.
wasn't, I didn't hate it, but it didn't live up to what I wanted that to be.
And so I watched this and I look at this and I'm like, I could be in for this.
I'd be excited for this.
I can't wait, Tim.
I'm all about it.
This is like one of the most anticipated games of the year.
Getting to see more of it is always exciting.
I'm excited for the, what I don't know.
That's what I really want to.
I want to stop looking at it because I want to be wowed.
I want to have those crazy moments.
And yeah, I cannot wait for this.
It's going to be so much fun.
Yeah.
And me popping off as they did the dolly into the door.
It's like this trailer was for the fan.
man like they really did a good job with all that so what are some of the fun code names he was giving
a residue for where's golden condor this is condor one you gotta get baby eagle that shit was so much fun
god damn baby eagle uh we had order of the sinking star from director jonathan blow who made braid
and the witness order of the singing star is a narrative adventure set in a realm of magic and enigma solve
over a thousand interconnected handcrafted puzzles discovered unique playable heroes master evolving
gameplay mechanics and decipher a grand
mystery. It's coming 2026
1400 puzzles.
Insane. And I got to see this behind
closed doors on a Discord call
where I got like an hour long breakdown
of what exactly is going on in this game
and it is fucking impressive. I'm somebody
who I played a lot of the witness,
really, really enjoyed the witness and really like puzzle
games obviously.
Seeing this trailer, right, immediately not
what I would have expected from like a presentation
perspective from like the next
Jonathan Blow game, it being this top
like block puzzle game immediately doesn't appeal to me from him but then also does appeal to me in
general like I do like these types of puzzles really enough um this game is fucking huge like that was my
main takeaway coming out of that right like you talk about that amount of puzzles uh the way they
talked about this game was also essentially saying that there are four games in this game right
like you hit this overworld and you have essentially four different directions you can go where
you go into one world and you're playing as these unique characters.
the kind of that have their own mechanics.
You know, it might be, you saw in the trailer,
the mirror puzzle stuff that's going on.
That's its own kind of world with its own characters, essentially.
You have another one that might be more,
oh, this character pulls blocks, and that's,
ooh, Andy got me another one of these Riesz's orders.
Pulls blocks, and like, you know,
you have a whole world that's based around those mechanics.
That's how the game sets you off,
and that's sort of phase one of the game.
As yet further in, those worlds combine
and overlap in really cool and interesting
ways and that then, you know, dives into essentially like a much larger experience. And so if you're
somebody who's a puzzle sicko, if you're somebody who likes to spend a lot of time just getting
deep into puzzles, they said that this game is around, oh, I'm trying to find in my notes, I think
they said around 600 hours. Jesus Christ. For a completionist. If you're trying to complete everything
in the game. And so if you're like me, if you're a puzzle sicko, this is one to look out for.
A reminder to everybody on Twitter and Blue Sky.
We have posts up for your hot takes of the game awards.
What did you think about it?
Whether it was the announcements or the winners, please let us know because tomorrow's games cast is going to be going over all of your thoughts.
Next up.
Also, self-correction.
I said 600 hours, 500 hours for completion.
Still, insane.
Yeah.
Also fucked up, Andy keeps giving away candy to people, but not me.
And I assume this because I didn't send him to see control.
No, it's because you reviewed it and you were like, peanut butter ruins everything.
That's also true.
Would you like one?
No, I'm fine.
Peanut butter ruins everything.
I'm good.
I mean, you're eating almond joys, you know what I mean?
I literally just had an almond.
I had a king-sized almond joy.
I would have loved to have one of those.
For a king?
You want one?
I do.
I mean, it's a risky thing for your voice right now.
Here, you do that.
But it's good.
I'll take us to the next game.
It was Exodus.
Exodus is a sci-fi action adventure RPG,
where you become the traveler,
leading humanities,
fight for survival against the celestial.
shields, face our evolution, 40,000 years in the future, explore extraordinary worlds, and confront
time itself to shape the fate of generations. This, of course, is a Wizards of the Coast game.
Early 2027. Anybody putting out a 2027 release date on these, I was a little bit like,
all right, that's a made-up year, and I don't need to hear that yet. But this is one we've talked
about and had our eye on before and been interested in. I still am. You know, this looks like a
fun little action RPG that we have Mass Effect at home Mass Effect. I'll take it.
Nobody else is making them. Let's go.
Yeah, I hope that there's awesome choices to make, cool companions to hang out with.
I, you know, I want the combat to be great.
I feel like this game's going to be right in that seven, five, to eight out of category.
But I'm expecting awesome things from the writing of this.
The lead writer on this is Drew Carpician.
I'm not trying to pronounce the last name.
I'm so sorry, but he's a lead writer from Cotor and Mass Effect 1 and 2.
Sounds great.
That's what I want.
I'm really, really hoping this one turns out to be awesome.
Let me give you four paragraphs here, okay?
Wizards of the Coast and Archetype Entertainment Today
debuted a new trailer for Exodus at the Game Awards.
The trailer provides fans with a more in-depth look at June Aslan,
a hero on an epic journey across the universe to save a world on the brink of collapse.
June comes from, maybe it's Joan, comes from humble beginnings,
but carries the legacy of a revered traveler dynasty.
Hidden beneath his unassuming origins lies the genetic heritage that grants John
extraordinary abilities and, I'm sorry, powers and abilities unlike any other human.
Players will shape John's destiny through moral choices and conflicting agendas that echo across generations.
Fans will determine who John ultimately becomes through their actions and choices,
all while the fate of their home planet and beyond lies in the balance.
Exodus offers, uh, freedom in gameplay style, allowing players to approach challenges through stealth or open combat.
Both paths are designed to be equally rewarding, empowering players to tailor their experience.
As the story unfolds, fans will unlock new weapons and abilities, form bonds with companions,
and discover combat synergies that deepen both the gameplay and the storytelling, which sounds
exactly what I want.
Will they nail that?
Will that be great?
Will it just be a, you know, a bad facsimile of Mass Effect?
I don't know, but I'm excited to try that.
It does feel like the art is like just almost there.
Almost there.
Something about it is still like, still looks like, you know, the,
the first game whenever a brand new engine comes out.
And it's like we haven't quite tuned and dialed everything in,
but hopefully things get dialed in more because this game is still a good ways away.
14, 15 months away.
The Reese's Oreo.
Which I'm not mad up to.
Honestly,
this is hidden in a way.
The Reese's Oreo.
We got a smiley's category,
best gaming snack.
Yeah.
Wow.
They did something with this.
I do want to say 2027,
I'm not mad at it seeing him at this game.
awards, right? I don't want to see everything. And Mega Man, like, there's something like,
all right, what the fuck are we talking about? But like, overall, it's like, you know,
Onimusha revealed last year, and it's like, that's coming sometime 2026. We still don't know when,
but like, that makes sense to be. Like, we can't expect everything to be within six months.
Warlock Dungeons and Dragons. This is coming in 2027, summer, 2026 for some gameplay.
This is a new Wizards of the Coast game, a subsidiary of Hasbro, blah, blah, blah.
Warlock is set in a dark fantasy open world inspired by D&D,
developed by Invoke Studios.
The game places players in the role of Katri,
a veteran warrior who makes a pact to wield otherworldly magic against dark powers.
It's currently in development for PC, PS5, and Xbox.
Warlock empowers players to use magic to overcome a wide range of challenges.
In exploration, every spell is a key to unlocking new paths and possibilities
in a beautiful yet unsettling worlds when facing enemies,
magic and melee combined for a combat experience that's both tactile and visceral.
We didn't see gameplay though, right?
No, but she just looked sick as hell.
Exactly. It was one of those things.
We came off of Exodus.
You're like, all right, yeah, cool, I'm going to play it.
And you look at it like, you're fucking, this is your, your character art is on another level
for this trailer of nothing, but I can't wait to play.
They look sick as fuck.
What were the games where you wore, death and the other one?
Darksiders.
Give me some darksiders on that.
I'm sick of dark.
I think that's what we're going to see here.
We talked about darksiders.
I don't want to hear about darksides.
I'm shooting a shot on that one.
I think that's what you're going to see at the end of the day.
Next time,
we had Gang of Dragon.
It's deep into development is what they said.
A new action adventure game from game creator,
Toshu Hiro Nagoshi.
Sorry what?
I just said, hell yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Set in the streets of Shinjuku,
Tokyo starring Ma Dong Siok as Shinji Song.
And the story unfolds with heated and intense human drama across Shinjuku,
one of Japan's largest.
entertainment districts. It's not Yakuza.
Yeah.
developer is a Nogoshi studio.
Former.
Former Yakuza.
Yeah.
Yakuza director.
Roger, come through.
Yeah, come on.
Roger.
Get the hype going on.
This looks sick as hell.
This looks sick as hell.
This looks sick as hell.
He dodges that dude's bullet.
Like,
fucking awesome.
He punched that dude's chest and I'm pretty sure that guy's just goop in
there now.
Like there's nothing.
Hi, everybody.
Yeah, there's guns now.
Guys, we got guns in the Yakuza franchise.
We're shooting them and cars and cars.
And cars.
We're going right there.
It's,
he's making a statement here.
Like, ending with the arch over there and being like,
yo, I'm doing Yakuza.
I'm doing it my way.
And he left for creative freedom, right?
He wants to be able to do Yakuza.
And I think Yakuza has gotten to the point where there's so much lore.
There's so much, you know, history behind that franchise.
And being able to reboot it and do something even more gritty than what you have with
Yakuza and where it's at now and how it's gone so fantastical and insane,
kind of being able to make it more grounded, have a star,
and kind of have an easy jumping on point
because man, this is exciting.
And it's nice that there's going to be like actual,
like, hey, we have this and we have the Oxf Ranchos
going at the same time because hopefully they learn from each other.
And also we have a, I always forget,
it's a stranger than heaven.
Stranger than Heaven, yeah, that also is there too.
So some really good stuff.
Very, very excited.
Did not expect to see this and did not expect to see
it seemingly so fleshed out and hopefully coming out soon.
During the trailer, I think I mentioned like, man,
RGG has this kind of game cornered, right?
They have the market cornered.
And it's lovely to see that Negoshi Studio here is rising up for me and like, yo, no, we'll, we'll face off.
We'll make our own.
And I like that we got a big meaty boy.
You know what I mean?
A punchy boy for sure.
Big meaty boy, bro.
Someone who feels like he's been there and done there a bit with a yakuza like this, I'm in.
Like when this drops, I totally want to do this.
I want to play this one.
What about Yakuza Kwamee 3?
Again, we're back to, I've just played these games a lot.
But dark ties.
I don't need to deliver pizzas on my car or my little bike and drive around to all stuff.
Yeah, I don't need to be a pirate.
I don't want to be a pirate.
Come on, bro.
That's good.
Thank you very much.
This is broken.
God, what a...
I was so fucking sick.
So fucking sick.
All right, everybody.
Rod, you can stay here, actually.
Oh, why?
Because what's the next stuff is very, very important?
What happens?
You're saying there's cars in that game now.
Guess where else there's cars?
Street Fighter, the movie.
Oh.
Oh.
You skipped over.
You skipped control, by the way.
Roger was coming out.
I was between...
Warlock and King of Dragon.
I was going to say, you know what else you can control cars.
All right, fine.
Let's go back to control if we have to control Resonant.
2026.
Players will explore warped Manhattan on the brink of paranormal natural annihilation.
Annihilation in this thrilling action-adventure RPG
unleashed the extraordinary powers of Dylan Faden
as he fights for its humanity and survival against a reality-bending cosmic threat.
Control Resonant will be published by Remedy.
Anapurna Piction of Pictures are co-financing and co-producing the game
as part of a strategic partnership with Remedy Entertainment.
So repeat that part.
Sorry, what did you say about that?
Anapurna.
Anna Perna.
Oh shit.
Our co-financing.
Wow.
We knew this.
Yeah, I remember they did the Anapurna like movie deal or TV deal.
I guess I didn't remember.
Yeah, it all came back to the financing.
Yeah, you're right.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
But, Raj, what do you got from me?
Yeah, so they just showed us this trailer early.
They didn't show any gameplay.
They showed a few more pieces of, um, uh, images and key art, right?
But they gave us some details and we were able to ask a few questions.
Sadly, my most important question, which I asked for you, Andy, because I was
was thinking about you. And I know you're the control guy.
I didn't know you're the Mega Man guy, but I knew you were the control guy.
I asked, is there a Perry? They didn't answer.
They just skipped over my question. They just skipped over my question.
Of course it's going to be on. Come on. I know. There's got to be, but you know, you never know.
Pull the rocks up.
Seven years after control, his spills out into New York. The way that they build this out,
which I thought was really interesting, is they compare this to Jesse's story and how she goes
into the oldest house and it's this brand new world. It's the same thing for Dylan almost,
because Dylan is now, he's been in the oldest house for so long that him going into New York is like,
oh my gosh, what is this place?
And of course it's been taken out.
It's a little bit different than New York normally is.
How long has he been under?
As Dylan has been under?
It's seven years since control.
Okay.
Yeah, long enough goes there.
Was last time he was in New York?
Like, is he, is he freaking out about like lack of a couple buildings?
Oh, my shit.
I'm just wondering.
It's an honest question.
Yeah, yeah.
He walked out.
He's like, oh my God, Zoron, all this communism.
It's crazy.
Yeah.
Save the name of the person.
Thanks, Greg.
Yeah, so, yeah, he's the only one that can fight back against this disaster.
Mirrors what Jesse thing, as I said.
Large open-ended world is what they said.
They did not say open-world.
They refused to say that.
They said it's not open-world, open-ended world.
Okay.
I like that.
So you're running around.
It's a close-off experience.
Manhattan is close-off.
No one can enter or leave.
My comparison there is, like, the Simpsons movie.
You know what I mean?
When they put the dome over.
I'm not.
I mean, up the dome.
Epa, remember that?
That was great spider pig.
That was fire.
Plenty of FPC and civilians to talk to.
So it's not just a bunch of random hiss that you're fighting.
There is a lot more real people in there, which I think was a bit of my concern that this was just going to be a bunch of hiss running around.
There's people to talk to.
There's individuals that are not just FBC, which is nice.
Action RPG gameplay.
They really focused in on you're able to make your gameplay matter and different and experiment,
but also not go too down the rabbit hole of,
experimenting, feeling like, you know, this is not your experience, and then not being able to
re-spec or change it. So you can really make this your own experience, and this is, they
focus on the RPG elements. They also focus on the idea that the enemies are able to follow
Dylan wherever he goes. So he's flying, he's running around, he's platforming, these enemies
will be able to do that, right? So they are also flying, they're also matching whatever Dylan's got
going on over there. By far, quote, by far, the deepest and most expansive remedy game
ever. Yeah, it's, it was really, really exciting. They have been clearly working on this for a while.
I did not expect this to be 2026. Like that was the biggest surprise out of all this. I don't know about
y'all. Do you believe it? I do. I do. I don't think that they would put a 2026. I don't think they
need to put a 2026 unless they were confident. How about you guys?
Oh gosh. I mean, I were hot off, hot off the heels of Allenwick two last year. And I, I guess I'd
I guess I'd believe it if we had any info as to like what teams are working on what and how many people have been working on this for how long.
2026 is still insane to me though.
That seems way too soon.
And it's also in that weird spot where it's like, well, you can only delay so much until you're just delaying out of 2026.
Because you don't want to get run over by anybody.
And you cannot afford to get run over remedy.
Like Alan Way 2 did not sell great.
And also FBC man.
And FBC was a massive disaster.
They're in a very, very precarious situation right now as a company, as a brand.
Like, they need this one to hit.
And yeah, Alan Way 2 came out the perfect moment, the perfect time.
It really kind of launched them into like this new stratosphere when it came to critical.
And commercial to a certain degree success in terms of like people talking about Allen Wake and that brand.
Andy, what if I told you that Allen Way 2 came out over two years ago?
Oh, shit ass.
For real.
Shit ass.
Damn.
Plus control.
Yeah.
I remember.
Oh, I love control.
Okay.
Yeah.
My question then, to blessing Andy and only blessing Andy.
Unless someone else has something to say.
But I call them out because...
That voice is about to go.
I'm so sorry.
2019 games came out.
Yeah, so we're going with this.
And I've heard you guys tell me, Tim, you got to play, you got to play, you got to play.
And I've tried a little bit.
I'm like, Sekro, I just don't think is for me.
Right, okay.
This looks fucking awesome.
Yeah.
When I tell you, Andy, like, I think I'm more interested in control than Sekaro.
are you like yes Tim play control dude like I mean it's what I kept you know when Alan Wake was
everybody's creeping their jeans over Alan Wake too and I was like like I get it Alan Wake 2
awesome game too scary for me but what if you could float in the sky and throw
teleconesis people and then you have a gun and pop pop pop and then you're throwing a rocket that
like it's what if there was a man who had a stare at a refrigerator I've been chasing the high
of controls combat for you know since
2019, I feel like.
And it, I think art direction-wise, you'll be blown away by it.
The amount of awesome, just color scheme the fuck out, vistas you see with the fun.
And it's like the air.
It's just, it's the style of control over.
It's the sickest shit ever.
I think the style would speak to Tim Getty is, I also think just the world picking up notes reading, just the weird shit that's going on in the old house.
Like, what I told you that they stopped allowing pencils in there because pencils would just do weird shit, right?
Like it's that type of really weird stuff.
Anti-led agenda.
You're like what?
Anti-led agenda.
Oh, yeah.
I mean, then you would love control.
Dogging, doing all sorts of cool shit flying out.
That's awesome.
Game Rocks.
Oh, you should play Sequeo.
Yeah, you should also play Secairot.
Play control.
Play control.
Play control.
Play after Traveler Zero.
Not a lot of leave.
Why?
Because we haven't talked about street fight of the movie.
Oh, dude.
They were all on stage.
We had no 50 cent, but we had Camie.
We didn't know about Cammy.
Also, you were screaming.
You didn't hear the music.
Do you hear the music?
Yes.
Joey Valance and Bray?
Oh, no, I did.
I said my voice.
I said shout out of my voice.
I said shout out of my voice.
No, yeah, no.
Everything about this was like, this is perfect.
This is what I wanted from a street fighter movie forever.
Lean in to their movesets to have their looks.
The whole thing of what street fighter is, man.
The world's warriors, baby.
We already know who's writing this.
We know who's directing it.
It's going to be a good time.
Who is right?
It's so fucking good.
It's the team from the Eric Andre show.
Yeah
Yeah
Which is true
So okay
So what I was gonna make mention of
I don't know why I thought this
At all had any relation
To like directors of the John Wick
Franchise or something
But it's like
I love this movie is being colored
The way like the Wick movies are
With like every location
Has like its own sort of color scheme
And vibe
There's purples and oranges
And pinks
And it's like it's got so much style
Like a video game
That travels the world
It has different laps to fight on
Bless
World
World
Warriors.
World Warriors.
Kevin,
I said something to assets.
If you could bring up,
please.
Even if the camera work is hidden.
Like,
there's like a zoom in there.
Yeah,
like that's a goofy as zoom.
That's a lot of one.
Oh,
on camp.
Yeah.
They know what they're doing.
Is he the posters you're pulling up?
We're about to pull them.
And Bros or Jam in the chat says,
oh my God,
this is the first I'm hearing about this.
I have the games cast for you.
Wes and I spent an hour going down a rabbit hill,
trying to rabbit hole,
trying to explain.
Dumbling down a rabbit hill.
Why?
This movie is about to be the greatest thing of
all time. And I just keep being proven right.
Let's look at these things. We have
their names in the style of the Street Fighter
Four Fon. We have all of them in
costume, just perfect, accurate
costumes. My God.
Mike. I'm pumped
Tim. I mean, it's crazy, Tim.
God. They got my name, man.
Shout out. Noah.
Jason Mamoa. He's looking good. I'm going to say,
man, Noah's looking fucking hot. He looks.
He's looking hot. He looks good.
Holy shit. Oh, I love him.
They made him green.
He looks at him.
Yeah, dude.
That's like a...
This is tough.
This one's...
I don't know about this one.
I don't know about this one.
You know that's a great.
I made a whole fucking video.
You can't not go full ball rock airline.
The problem is with...
I was saying this in our very long games cast.
I needed him to be cross-eyed.
He's not looking cross-off.
That could be a moment in the movie, though.
That could be a big moment.
Do we think Mamo is wearing like a...
Bunk on head?
Do we think Mamo is wearing like a, a suit type day?
Or is that CG?
Full method.
Full method.
All four.
He goes to his wife and kids.
He still like that.
Yeah.
And Vey-O-Vell-Pek, I didn't know this man
until we did our deep dive.
And he always wears a mask.
Yeah, that's really sick.
Just as a human.
Oh.
That's the guy with the cowboy mask?
Yeah.
Man, he's cool.
Oh, I didn't know that.
Kind of vibe.
He is Slipknot?
And then what's his name from Dexter?
David.
Come on.
He's, yeah.
That's fire.
Come on.
Look how good he looks.
It's.
Perfect.
The Cody Rhodes' hairstyle.
The Cody Rhodes one is just incredible, man.
Can I see Cody Rhodes?
Can we go?
Yeah.
He looks great.
He looks great.
I almost wanted to be taller, but like, you know, I'll take what I can get.
That's my goat right there.
We had Cody and Roman Ray.
This one.
This one looks weird.
I don't like this one.
I don't like the face on that one.
I don't know.
It's just like a Snapchat filter.
He's a raging demon.
I know.
What are you going to do?
It's just the poster.
Just this poster.
I'm sure it looks good in the movie.
And fucking bad.
Damn.
D.
Nuts.
Oh, man.
in the OG Street Fighter, Ultra Street Fighter 2, Turbo,
whatever you want to call it.
Man, I'm so high.
Fuck, fuck, fuck.
Oh my God, fuck him.
Yeah, they're in fucking, Dan.
Amazing, man.
Yeah.
Did we see Dalzeeam's stretch in the trailer?
I don't think so.
It all happened so fast.
I was so excited.
I hope that looks good enough.
It won't look amazing, but I hope it looks good enough.
Yeah.
All right, Roger, you may leave.
Oh.
Bless you think they're going to use it in a silly way.
We're like.
he reaches down a bar to grab a drink
or something. Oh yeah.
The way they first introduced his character.
You see a hand and then the camera follows the hand.
He grabs a hot chocolate
and he wants a warmer so he's like, yoga flame.
And it warms up the coffee.
I'm telling you guys, if you are a fan of dropout,
you need to watch Street Fighter the later years
because everything you just said,
you might as well have just expected to see him.
It was so damn good.
Lego Batman, Legacy of the Dark Night.
We got a date May 29th.
It looks fun.
It looks fun, let down by the voice acting.
Yeah.
Yeah, didn't feel like they were bringing it to where we needed to be.
Like, you're going to step into those roles.
Like, their Joker when he was doing like his Jack Nicholson scenes and stuff,
it's like, you're not hitting.
I didn't think Batman was hitting either.
Obviously, I'll play it in context and get a vibe for it.
Love for Batman.
Obviously love the Lego games and what they've done.
So to see him coming in here and do it, I'm expecting great things from TT,
especially after Star Wars and how much people loved that.
But yeah, I wasn't like blown away.
Bless, I don't know if you know this.
The right hold dogger reminds me in the chat.
Like, do you know the Yoko Shibamu
Muro did most of Street Fighter 2, including Giles' theme?
I just learned that from the chat.
I did not know Yoko Shemu Miro did Giles theme.
That's legendary.
Mike, that's Kingdom Hearts.
All right.
Yeah.
It's Final Fantasy 15 and it's Street Fighter 2.
And Live Alive.
That's most.
One of the first memes I can just think about,
I was telling Greg this also.
Like, one of the first memes I can remember
is the Nature Valley Bar, but they changed the
logo to say fucking crumbs everywhere.
And I was like, dude, what a funny thing.
Check this out.
It was like 2005 or whatever.
But also, Giles theme goes with everything.
Was like such a popular internet thing where you just put Giles
theme behind anything and it's going to work.
It's going to be so sick to hear those theme songs.
I cannot wait.
And then we got a back-to-back Tomb Raider Catalyst coming to
207.
It's a new adventure set in the wake of a mythical cataclysm that is
unleashed ancient secrets and awakened
mysterious guardian forces.
Lara races to uncover the truth
buried beneath the fractured landscape
before the world's most notorious
treasure hunters can grasp its power
for their own gain. As the ancient world
collides with the present, Lara must decide
who is to trust among rivals and allies
to prevent a catastrophe
and protect a secret that could
reshape the future. And then
Tomb Raider Legacy of Atlantis coming
2026. Yeah. Experience the
pinnacle of adventure with Tomb Raider,
legacy of Atlantis, a stunning reimagining of Lara Croft's 1996, genre-defining game
with jaw-dropping visuals powered by Unreal Engine 5, modern gameplay and new surprises that
honor the spirit of the original.
I want to take this one first.
I could not be more excited for this.
I love Tomb Raider as a concept.
I love Lara Croft as a character.
And I'm talking about the OG games.
I hated those games.
I never enjoyed playing those games.
I never enjoyed the controls.
Greg talks about the Resident Evil games
He loves zombies but like this just wasn't hitting
You give me a fucking badass girl in short shorts with dual pistols
Like I'm all about this stuff
But it wasn't fun to play and I just couldn't wrap my head around it
As a kid and I feel like I just never got over that
I never knew what I was doing
I played so many of them
I kept trying kept trying and just they never stuck with me
Seeing this I'm like yeah a reimagining
To honor the spirit of the original
That's exactly what I want
Everything about this from visuals to gameplay
I'm like, this is hype.
Me and my cousins would just run away from the butler.
Yeah.
That's all we did.
Put them in the freezer.
Yeah, I think this looks visually awesome.
I'm pretty surprised that they were able to kind of nail the vibe and nail the nail, like the way the environments look and everything.
I think it just looks really, really great and should be really cool to return to.
Yeah, I love Tomb Raider as a concept and as the games.
I have fond memories of playing Tomb Raider and Tomb Raider 2 back on my PC.
So yeah, stoked about these.
It'll be interesting to see what it is.
Obviously, Amazon Game Studios out front on this one, right?
They've done doing this and Crystal after everything that's gone through with Square.
What are these games actually going to be?
You know, them saying the new one was going to be 2027 and then, but wait, it was like,
are they going to nail it back to back years?
That's a really cool proposition to set up this new Laura Croft or obviously a new voice actress.
Camilla Ludington having done these.
This is Alex Wilton Reagan that rings a bell to anybody else.
She has been in a lot of stuff, including Tales of Kanzara.
Her Instagram has a photo up here about her winning a BAFTA next to Abu.
So she's been around doing a whole much of stuff.
What did IG insights are from?
She's appeared in Cyberpunk 2077, Mass Effect 3 in Dragon Age Inquisition.
So excited to see what they got for it.
Yep.
Fantastic. Big role.
I mean, a lot of memories, a lot of nostalgia.
Bringing it back to just the recent trilogy, right?
We know Crystal Dynamics can nail Tomb Raider, right?
They stuck with it for a long time and they make really great games when it comes
to the Tomb Raider legacy, and I cannot wait to jump in.
We saw a lot of that kind of grapple hook there
that you can kind of assume that's going to be a lot of the gameplay with some fun.
So I'm excited to see where we go.
Also developed by Flying Wild Hogg.
And I remember that name because they worked on Trek Toyomi,
which is kind of a disappointment back several years ago.
But they also worked on the Shadow Warrior 2 and 3 sort of remakes in 2016 and 22.
Or not remakes, but yeah, the PC versions of those evil.
West as well in 2022.
Then we had Forest Three, Mike.
Oh my God, Tim.
The Forest Three? Are you kidding me, dude?
Okay, let's rewind a little bit.
Please.
Sons of the Forest Two came out pretty recently, I would say.
I'm pretty actually surprised that we're getting a Forest
three, but that came out. Did not land well. A lot of people wanted
more from that, did not like what they got.
And of course, now if you look at their Steam page,
It is very positive reviews.
Looks like they got back on the page of that.
But I didn't think we were going to get a forest three announcement here.
I thought this could be subnotica.
We're excited for that.
But man, oh, man, when I think of fun survival crafting games,
I think of intense action.
I think of horror on an island.
I do think of the forest and all those memories that I had.
I hope that this one lands a little bit better at launch.
I think it's such a key.
But these are the games that kind of take some time to build off of and go.
Now we're like sci-fying it, right?
Like the look of this, this isn't, doesn't look like the forest where I'm just off
on some crazy island chopping wood now, right?
It looks like I'm on some sort of alien planets.
We're fighting some really scary-looking monsters.
And I love this.
I'm into this.
I'm on.
After that, we had a very awkward transition to Invincible Verses.
Rex Flood and Robert Kirkman were there.
And then Elemental is the new case.
character here.
Voiced by.
Oh,
Tierra Wack.
Yeah, a rapper
who's incredibly talented,
super creative,
and Tim,
you need to check out
Wack World.
Yeah,
I downloaded the album.
I'm excited to listen to it.
Hell of.
So,
I mean,
Elemental, Greg.
Dendering a bell.
Character.
I mean,
I know Invincible has so many
characters, so.
Yeah.
It's a choice,
right?
Yeah,
it's a choice.
I mean, like,
for me,
it was,
like you said,
it was an awkward
transition.
And then on top of that,
it was just off putting of like Rex isn't the wrecks from the show but looks just like the
wrecks from the show and then we get in there and it's like okay cool this isn't stephen as
invincible it isn't um the guy from heroes the spock as robot and so then you're immediately
out and then it was just into this and it's like well this isn't that we finally get into the
i don't know it just it didn't it didn't rock for me gary the third is saying it's a new character
bless fighting game poppy yeah i mean i talk about every time they they show it off right like i'm
looking forward to it it's a it's a very competitive uh ton for fighting games currently with all the ones
that have been coming out this generation,
especially when you look toward next year
with Marvel Tolkien Fighting Souls,
being one of the big ones.
But I got to play with all the nominees today.
With all the nominees today,
all the collections.
But, you know, looking forward to next year,
it's one that I'm excited for,
but then also, you know, I played this game twice now.
It's fun.
It's a good time.
Is it going to, I guess, like, stick
and be that one that really feeds people over time,
especially with post-launch content
and keeping the fan base involved?
We'll see.
But, you know, if you're a fan of Invincible,
you're a fan of fighting games, and more particularly
if you're a fan of both those things at the same time,
here's the game for you. Yep.
Then we had Orbitals. Another
highlight for me from this show.
This looked fucking awesome.
Switch to exclusive, 26,
to play a co-op.
This is a real...
Retro anime. Oh, retro anime.
Okay, cool. Real Tour anime would have been
interesting too. In Orbitals,
players will team up and take on the roles
of Maki and Umura, two
inseparable explorers with a whole lot more
determination than on-the-job experience.
Working together, they will brave the perils of
space to save their crumbling space station
home from the dangers of a supernatural
cosmic storm.
You called this, Andy, a
haze-like, which was very, very, very clever.
We already copyrighted it.
They're saying here, either by teaming up with two pairs of
JoyCon 2 controllers on a single switch 2 device
for local split screen co-op using
the systems game share or using the systems
game share feature for another player on a
compatible switch 2 or switch 1
device, you can do all that stuff. Cool.
They're going all in. RAD.
Love the look of this. Love the style.
Love the co-op energy. 100%.
That's great. Kepler killing it, man.
Kepler, what a show for them. Run.
You take all future Genshin likes,
make them look like this. Yeah, I love this art.
Dude, yeah, that art style looks fantastic.
Then we had Wuthering Waves
3.
That's what they said.
No, it's Wuthering Wraves like 3.0 or whatever.
For a third season or whatever. Something like that.
Yeah, yeah. They did say, I heard 3.
I guess that's howling was two.
Yeah, he left off my ex-a-wethering words three or something.
Then Diablo four.
Hold tight.
Hold on.
Now what a stupid opening to have a fisto making fun of shroud and all this stuff.
What are we doing?
Get out of that.
Get out of that.
Get out of that.
And you get to another hot fucking blizzard trailer.
Let's get going.
Let's tear it up.
Let's introduce a brand new season of content, Lord of Hatred.
This is one of the big things from Vessel of Hatred, right?
some of the feedback people had for the story of it was like
all right but like a vessel of hatred like how long are we
killing until we get to Mepesto and really get in there and deal with the devil
himself right kind of thing so to see them tackling that that's great
and then the I know it had been rumored from Diablo fans out there
for me I didn't think they'd actually do it the excitement of you can go play the
paladin right now a brand new class there's going to be two new classes in this
expansion if you go and pre-order I have it in my note yeah pre-purchase the expansion
And right now, you can be a Paladin tonight and try that out.
And the second class will come when this launches April 28th.
And they're going to talk about it before then obviously.
But like that's super exciting.
That's super cool.
Big deal.
Yeah.
As a Diablo 2 kid, the Paladin class, something special.
Right.
The idea of like having something now, we didn't get many out nows throughout this show.
Right.
And I know we were itching for a couple towards the end.
But like the idea of the Diablo audience right now being able to jump in,
that's going to be a big boost start.
And then right around the corner in April, right?
like you said, we're moving.
This is exciting stuff.
I remember the,
maybe the last one or two
Blizzard Cinematics
that they showed off
and debuted something
weren't like,
we always expect
awesome shit from it.
And I remember the last two
maybe being a bit disappointing.
This one was amazing.
I loved the action in it.
Like, holy shit.
It got me hyped up and like,
I don't even fuck with Diablo on that level.
Here comes that pimple pop we talked about.
Oh, yeah.
They continue to impress with that.
Give those people all the money
in the world. Let them make a Diablo
movie. Let him make a World of Warcraft movie.
That's cinematic's team can never
do wrong. Yeah, there's the big man. Yeah, this is
one I want to jump into as fast as I can. Mike, when Tim's
gone, should we do an interview for Warcraft
the movie? Maybe we watch it
together. Maybe we get Greg on that.
Don't do that without me.
You're right. You're right. Marvel rivals.
Next stop. Deadpool. He's coming.
I thought this trailer was really, really
awesome. I love that they're like, we have money.
Let's put it towards some cool
ass shit. That stuff was rad. As Marvel
Rivals players, Mike,
plus Andy, you stoked on this?
I'm the big fall off one. I fell off very early
on that, of course, close friends Chris Sank and
Kevin ASEC still play it almost nightly.
I keep up with all the updates
via through them and I am blown away
with all of the updates that the players
have gotten throughout the year, right? We talked
about Marvel rivals dropping in December
last year being game of the
summer last year as well. Like, it's
crazy how much content
has been shoved into this game. Character
after character, map after map,
keeping it fresh, having fun with it.
Yeah, they got a great lineup,
and Deadpool is perfect for the lineup.
Yeah, and they're also adding Rogue,
which is kind of like that final stinger at the end.
Rogue is joining as a tank character.
Didn't we already know that Elsa Bloodstone
was the announcement here, right?
Wasn't Rogue already known?
Rogue we already knew.
I think Rogue we already knew,
but I don't think Rogue's in the game right now.
I think Rogue was announced alongside Card Man.
Gambit.
Oh, Gambit.
Yes.
It says in season 5.5, rogue answers the frame.
She's on December 12th.
Maybe she already joined.
Oh, okay, gotcha.
Yeah.
But Elsa Bloodstone, I think, was a reveal.
Chat was popping off for that.
It's been a while since I hopped into Marvel Rivals.
The more they announced these new characters, though, the more I want to jump in.
Deadpool is making me want to hop back in the game whenever he drops.
I'll tell you something, though.
What's that?
When I hopped in a Overwatch other day, I'm like, oh, I like this so much more than Marvel Rivals.
Oh, I agree.
Oh, man.
You play wise.
Yeah.
And I really, really enjoyed my time with Marvel Rives.
I just don't play.
I definitely fell off
because I felt like something was missing
I don't know what it was but maybe it's just Ash
from Overwatch
This is a tangent but I need to say it watching this trailer
Like I need everybody that has Disney Plus
To watch Star Wars Visions
Season 3 was an episode called Black
Just put it on
It's 10 minutes
Don't ask questions
Just let it play all the way through
Three seasons?
There's three seasons of visioners
Yeah wow I didn't know
Do you know what I'm talking about Andy?
No I mean
I don't know what episode you're talking about
but I know that the third season came out
like sometime this year. Yeah, you need to watch it. It's like the most insane
animation I've ever seen and I don't want to say anything more. I hate that I didn't watch
season two and three because I loved season one. Very cool stuff.
Specifically though, just watch the episode called Black. I'm going to write this now. Crazy shit.
Star Wars Blacked. And it's 10 minutes, just lock in. Just sit there
and lock in, don't look at your phone. Go the phone out the window.
Lock in. He said blacked.
We're giggling.
They're giggling.
Hogwarts Legacy is free this month on Epic.
Lords of the Fallon 2 got some gameplay.
We got Raul Koli coming out on stage,
talking about Soros beneath the shadow of an ominous eclipse.
Arjun Devraj, Raul Koli, is a sultari enforcer who will stop at nothing to pursue answers
on the shapeshifting world of Carcosa, a planet filled with dark secrets and hostile inhabitants.
Got delayed to April 30th.
Quietly, not a big deal.
Yeah.
Here's the date.
There you go see what's up.
The month back.
The cutties looks so good.
Holy shit.
Like, it's more than what I thought it was going to be, which doesn't make a whole lot of
sense because Returnal had a lot of kind of those cinematics, but this is like more than
what I was expecting to get from character moments.
Looks awesome.
Yeah.
Looks awesome.
And yeah, that delay, not bad at all, right?
Just a couple weeks there.
So, cool.
then no law
welcome to Port Desire
a city that doesn't belong to anyone
or everyone wants a peace
you're great what are you laughing at
Port Desire
this is a crazy name
my city
all right we get it
Port Desire
get the fuck out of here
I have nothing to say about this deal
this is the devs from the Ascent
if we remember the descent
or the top down
top down
side of game
I didn't know that
I thought this looked like
a fun double A time
Greg hated
Greg like came at me for this
You guys
I thought that was like
Bad this is gonna be bad
Boy this is gonna be bad
I think it looks like a
A experience like I
I want to rivet it out of this trailer with no game
I'm done it's over
Bam put it down
See if you fuckers play you ain't gonna play this shit
Yeah you came about that too
I know I'm an asshole
It's happening right now
Then we had Evan essence come out and do the theme
song to Devil May Cry season one on
Netflix that I highly recommend.
Pizza better than they don't like it.
And here's another
one of my Tim things of like, hey,
I'm not telling you to watch all of Star Wars Visions.
And if you don't want to watch all of Devil May Cry
season one, just watch episode eight. It's one of the
best episodes of TV I've ever seen. I love it. So much.
So good. It's so good. Ten
agrees. Who?
Tomor Hussein. Oh, Tim. Yeah. So I'm not
alone here. I'm not crazy here.
But yeah, DMC, season two,
premiering May 12th.
Hopefully this will be the first time a DMC2 is good.
I expect that it will be.
Then we have phasmophobia coming to Switch 2.
Good for them.
Yeah, congratulations on huge success.
That's some of those games that we don't really play in the office,
but is massive, the dead by daylights out there.
What did they say, 25 million?
Found an insane audience and just continues to go.
Do you think they'll use the camera so you can see your friends in the phasmophobia world?
Running around and it's like, oh, that's Tommy.
He's just following in the camera.
I need a reason to use my camera.
I'm on two.
Then we had Hitman, Patient Zero.
Mila Yovovich.
That's hot off the heels of slimshadish.
I just loved it.
It was like all the M&M thing we're talking about it and like you guys do.
And then they just throw the patient zero art.
You're like, what the fuck?
Wait, is it?
We're going after Milo Jovovich in this mansion from fucking a Resident Evil.
Hell yeah.
Hell yeah.
I'll play it.
I'm in.
This is sick.
Yeah.
We will have a stream of this in February.
Between Blockbuster.
This shit's crazy, bro.
Good for her.
We have Total War Warhammer 40K.
David Harbour's going to be in the game.
It's from Creative Assembly.
Experience the brutal fusion of galactic strategy
and grim dark warfare and total war,
Warhammer 40K, take command of iconic factions,
customize your war machine,
and engage in devastating battles
as you carve a bloody warpath across the stars.
Yes, yes, yes, yes.
I dip my toe in on the last total war,
Warhammer and now I'm ready to
dive in and really get lost
in the sauce. Learn so much more.
Of course, we had Space Marines. Last
year, Space Marine 2, that we all had a
really good time with and it's just like, I'm
continuing more and more. Start to
Like Warhammer and that's like one of those
things. Like, uh-oh, that could be a problem.
It could have a problem.
Then we finally got it
after many, many years and predictions.
Ace Combat 8, Wings
of Thieve come in 2026,
soar through the skies and rise above every
challenge to earn your place among the elite,
engage in intense aerial combat to dominate
the battlefield with powerful weapons,
experience a breathtaking campaign filled with
high-stakes missions, hard choices, and deep
squad connections. I'm
interested. I want to give it a shot.
I highly doubt I'm going to stick with
it. That trailer gave me
8 out of 10 of the way
of what I was hoping for, because I've heard so
much about the last game being like,
yo, they deliver the anime
bullshit that you're looking for. And I
didn't get too much of that here.
But excited for it.
Hope it's good.
I just want this to be...
I know it's like...
I know Bandan Amko already came out with Armored Corps six a couple years ago.
But I want like this for a Gundam game.
Oh.
Yeah.
I don't love just flying a ship and having a turn around and like...
I want to be in a sick me with moments like that where NPCs are looking at me and being like,
you got this big dog, it's fucking got...
Like, I want that sort of anime hype.
But I still feel...
like this can, it's real quick, it is super funny seeing those two villains right there
because I was about to point out the top gun thing of like the bad guys from a country
we don't really know.
Like, we're not going to say Russia or China or whatever.
Yeah, I think it looks super visually impressive, like the way the actual characters look
in the game.
Yeah, I wish they were like furry animals.
You know what I mean?
Oh, damn.
Yeah, you can do a barrel roll.
Yeah, this is lit.
This is super exciting.
There's a lot of Ace Combat fans out there that are going to be really pumped up about
this and there's one man I want to play
this game with and that's Kevin freaking
Coella. We're going to set up the joystick
and I'm sure me and him are going to
have a fun filled laughing afternoon
that we just can't stop. There's only the
most I wanted to play in Ace Combat game is watching this trailer.
I think this looks really cool. I like the character
designs. I didn't realize, I guess I didn't realize what
Ace Combat was in energy. I always knew, okay, playing
combat game. But seeing the characters reminds me of how I felt
seeing like Monster Wilds trailers and seeing those characters
where I'm like, oh, you're realistic, but you look really cool.
You look kind of cool.
I look at these characters.
I'm like, oh, fuck with this.
I want to know who you are.
I want to know who you are.
I want to know more about you.
I want just a little top gun reference.
Like, someone's got to be rooster.
Maybe someone's hangman.
Maybe it's Glenn Powell.
Maybe he's not busy.
Next up, I can't believe it.
We got Star Wars Galactic Racer coming 2026 from Fuse Games,
who was made up of former devs of need for speed and burnout.
Burnout.
What are we talking?
And burnout.
What are we talking about?
We're talking about some good shows.
Oh, my God.
Some bulb is here.
A Star Wars Galactic
Reacer introduces players
to the Galactic League,
an unsanctioned racing circuit
born in the lawless outer rim
where the galaxy's best pilots battle
in dangerous races
where only the bold survived.
Slam, shunt, and take down rivals
as you pilot.
Different classes of repulsor craft
each with distinct physics and play styles.
Speed across new and iconic Star Wars planets
were branching routes and varied environments
ensure no two races play the same.
At the heart of it all is shade.
A lone racer with a dream of glory and revenge.
Star Wars racer
Revenge.
Yeah.
The name's shade is cool.
Rides solo through a story-driven campaign.
Oh, cool.
Yeah.
That's good.
Who wrote that story?
Who?
Do you know?
It's a bullet point out.
Okay, okay.
Or battle for supremacy
and competitive multiplayer braving strategic
PVP grudge matches
where reputation rides with you.
Customize your build,
unlock new abilities in every run,
and master brutal takedowns.
No force, no prophecy.
Just skill, strategy, and the will to rise.
Oh my God.
Tell that to Anakin.
Did he fucking cheat?
We got to take that win back.
Use the goddamn course.
Oh, Zalibir Nelson Jr.
is writing this.
What?
What?
When I tell you, he is top one
coolest person of the games in his game.
He's number one.
He blew sky saying, I can finally talk about this.
I was lead writer on a gosh from Star Wars game.
So proud and excited for y'all to see what the team at fuse are cooking up.
It's a doozy.
Yeah, clap that.
Oh my God, this is just good news after good news about a dream project.
What?
Insane.
Insane.
One of the most, like, creative people, I think I've gotten the pleasure ever to talk to you.
He's working on as the lead rider for this video game.
Somebody who's making big waves in the indie part of the industry.
Of course, me and Greg did a games cast with Zalafri Nelson earlier this year that you need to check out.
If you're at all interested in, like, you know, the indie side of the industry, what we can do about the industry as far as being creative,
somebody who's working on a lot of cool, different, weird-ass projects
and is being very transparent about the processes
of getting those projects made.
I highly recommend checking out that games cast.
Plus, I need to hear, like, what does this game do for you?
Oh, it does everything for me.
Like, turn the clock back to, I think it was 2020,
when, on PS I Love You, I couldn't stop talking about Star Wars, Racer,
on PlayStation 4 because they had ported the NCD4 game
to modern platforms, and, like, I got to relive playing.
that game while getting all the trophies and all that stuff, right? Like, Star Wars
Racer to this day is a game that I will boot up and play and fucking enjoy and have a blast
with. Seeing it come back in the most unexpected way with all the right words attached to it
does so much for me because I'm somebody who I don't really ask for more Star Wars Racer,
but I'm always accepting a more Star Wars Racer. I am always asking for more burnout, right? I am always
asking for more of a fast-paced, chaotic racing game. And if you're not going to give me burnout,
I'll very happily take a Star Wars Racer revival. And I'm, I want to hear more about
from the pod racer side of thing,
because I don't mind it
not having pod racers.
That's not like a deal breaker for me,
but I'm loving everything I'm seeing.
Yeah, I mean, look,
it's not a deal breaker for me.
I just am such a pod racer fan
and we just,
we don't get pod racing stuff ever.
I feel like everyone,
we're getting it there.
We're getting it right there.
He's there.
Yeah, he's fucking there.
It seems like there might be a couple in there,
but I just love the idea
of pod racing, period.
And there's been so many hints at it
in the Star Wars shows
and movies recently.
And like, I mean, honestly,
they always just teach.
So many people are mad about Last Jedi for a lot of reasons.
And they're the wrong reasons.
The thing they should be mad at is that they weren't pod racers.
They were the stupid horses instead.
They should have just been pod racers.
And they weren't.
And it broke my heart.
But there were other times they've shown up.
They were in Bad Batch.
They're here.
They're there.
They're not in enough places.
So that's my only thing is I wish they were a little bit more prominent here.
But real talk, not complaining at all.
I think this is going to be awesome.
Every single thing we're seeing here, the different vehicle classes, I think,
actually could go a long way.
and having like speeder bikes
versus a bit more like tanky looking things
this is going to be great. I love that we got more
playing in the sandbox we always talk about this
right? Step out, try different genres
a little sleeper hit that I always enjoyed
with Star Wars squadrons with the boys
I enjoy when we're
in this beloved universe that is Star Wars
and we say hey let's step out
just the third person action adventure game
that we get all the time right let's get away
from the first person shooter and let's try
something different so yeah this is
of course a big nostalgia play for all of us
with pod racing on the N64. It's special.
This is going to be exciting.
The background of the burnout people
and also need for speed. That's exciting, right?
And I'm willing to put a little pizza bed down, right?
Oh, yeah.
There will be a mini-wado
on a rear view mirror.
Little tag.
John Drake.
You'll look up on your rear-view mirror.
John Drake, don't fuck this up.
Like a charm.
A little charm.
Oh, my God.
If small wado pays off.
Get ready.
Don't fuck this up, Jandre.
There will be somewhere in there on the rearview mirror, in your keys, on the dash.
Little Wado's shaken.
I need someone to side by side, Sibulba at the end there, like doing the little mustache, you know, tussle thing he does with the Rizzler doing the...
Both the same energy.
I don't want to go too long on this, but the last thing I want to say is like, I'm so happy there's a story campaign.
Yes, that's really good.
Yeah, it's a big deal.
Written by him, like, oh my God, all that's so exciting.
but yeah, this, I am very, very hype for this.
Also, my computer is dead.
My computer is also dead.
Greg, can you continue to show?
I sure.
Can I call it quick time out?
Can I call it quick time out?
Did he skip 007?
I do believe he did skip Lenny Krauss.
We can't be skipping that.
You hate to see it, everybody.
Let's go back to 007 First Light and Lenny Kravitz.
During the Game Awards, the Pirate King Bomber.
appeared in a brand new trailer holding James Bond as well as Bond's mentor, MI6,
John Greenway, in a delicate situation, aiming to remove any outside interference.
Lenny Kravitz takes on the role of Bama, providing both the voice and physical likeness of the character.
His first major performance in a video game.
Bama is the enigmatic leader of Alpha, no, Alf, a left, a vast black market arms
network operating across the Western
Hemisphere. By 17, he had
risen through the ranks of modern piracy
transforming an abandoned space graveyard
in Mauritania
to the foundation of his empire.
And there he is,
Balma. Wow.
I mean, dude, this is what
first light needed. Michelle Todd. It needed
a shot in the arm of like, all right,
cool. We really are bringing this stuff.
A villain is debatably
the most important part of a James Bond story
and someone with this much charisma. And
someone with this much charisma,
I think is the move that they need to make.
Also, this much star power
for this video game, right?
Like, I feel like when they showed who Bond was,
I'm not hating on him at all.
I just don't think that that was the most like,
oh, shit, it's this guy type thing.
And also it wasn't a, oh, we've never heard of him before.
It was kind of in between in a way that I think for the most part
wasn't that exciting.
We see the gameplay.
It was very slow car driving and all that stuff.
Gameplay for the assassination shit looked very hitman.
Good. Awesome.
Like, great.
But this is the most old I've been on the game so forth.
This is the style.
This is the wow that you needed,
especially at the game awards where we're talking about so many celebrity cameos.
The question of,
hey, how does James Bond come out and show out and make a big splash?
That is exactly how you do it right here.
And I'm very excited about it.
I also feel like I'm having an out-of-body freaking experience
because me and Roger did call forth upon Lenny Kravitz during our death-stranding
marathon streams.
And I can't believe this man is in this video game right now.
This is crazy.
Tim, my question to you is somebody who knows the Bond movies.
Incredibly well.
No.
And understands the entertainment business.
Do you think that this means Lenny Kravitz is doing the Bond theme for this game?
No, I don't.
Are you going to go my way?
That'd be safe.
No, no, I don't think they're going to do that.
That sucks.
That'd be sick as hell, though.
Back on track to where we were.
After Galactic Gracer, we had a quick out-of-word segment.
But it wasn't really a segment, but it didn't seem like an ad either.
But it was just like, hey, remember out of words?
That's still a game that's happening.
Find Your Lost Voices in a co-op platform adventure
Together with a friend via online cross-platform or couch co-op
Explore the wild colorful realm of vocabble tasks
As Kurt and Carla in a story about the first time they held hands
Where everything you see is crafted by hand
I was like okay
But there was like no news out of it
But cool where we've been
We think this game's awesome and looks great
We'd love to play it
Get more eyes on it yeah sure
After that it was the Ark Knight Enfield segment
Again and this was a paid segment
release dates
1 January 22nd
Yeah, beta going on right now
I interviewed them for a sponsored segment
and they didn't have a date
they just said 2026
and I thought oh maybe we'd see it later on
but no, we're right around the corner from this
this is one that I do want to try
outside of the sponsored segment I want to try this
so I'm looking forward to seeing more
Let's also had the observation Tim that
imagine dragons
stole the starting spot
from one republic
Yeah.
That one republic would have been
the magic dragons
if it weren't for a magic dragons
coming in and picking.
Ever since the magic dragons
hit the streets
like we've not heard
from one republic since.
Yeah.
I don't know that I agree with that.
You're right,
factually,
but I don't think that causation equals.
No, no,
it's too late to apologize to him.
Damn.
You fucking got me,
bus.
That was great.
That was really good.
That was really, really good.
That was the Reese's.
I've had one meal a day,
by the way.
Yeah,
I saw your things still out there.
Like, Cap, do you should go in?
I was keeping for tomorrow.
Okay.
Well, I mean,
that's,
Chololia has been sitting there for nine hours.
Chat sounded off about it and I'm,
I got to hear Polygon reports.
This is old.
Lana Del Rey have fans have figured out she might be doing the bond theme for
007 first light.
Wow.
This is Devin McClure October 21st.
It seems 007 first light may be getting the same theme song treatment as the film franchise.
Fans are theorizing Lana Del Rey,
Del Rey is at the helm.
It wouldn't be the first time, summertime, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
The theory about Del Rey's return to the James Bond universe has sprung from a newly registered song on ASCAP.
The American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers by artist Elizabeth Grant, Del Rey's real name.
The song title, First Light, which has led to speculation on Reddit that she will be doing it.
A lot of Del Rey Bond theme sounds incredible, but returning.
I powered through just to get you there.
Sorry, it would be the first time she's done something.
she previously made the song 24 for Spector,
but Sam Smith's writing on the wall
was ultimately chosen instead.
That was a fact we read on in review.
Wow.
Yeah.
I love it.
Is it a fact?
I don't know.
007.
Skavino.
Can you make a song for Great Gatsby?
Oh yeah.
That was a good song.
Oh, yeah.
From there we went to Phantom Blade Zero.
S game presents Phantom Blade Zero,
a fusion of classic Wusha, right?
Storytelling and exhilarating action
powered by Unreal Engine 5.
You play a soul, a warrior with only 66.
six days left to live. Fend off assassins, unravel world, ending conspiracies, and defend
your values with your life. Of course, the news here is that it's coming out on September 9th,
2026. Andy Cortez drained it from half court on that prediction.
This game looks so good, man. Like, aside from whatever we're seeing in these little
cutscenes, and I kind of, I was right there with bless. As soon as we saw the kicks when he
jumps up, I was like, oh, shit. I think we're getting it right here. Michael's close with
Max Payne though.
Amazing.
I had a crazy feeling inside.
I have a feeling.
Embrace that feeling.
One of the funniest
guesses I've ever seen.
Yeah, I think it looks
fucking amazing.
And this is like
the most developed
we've seen this game
where it's,
anytime we've seen it
in the past like three
or maybe four times or whatever.
And you played it.
Play it twice.
It's always very, very like
contained.
Everything is like,
here's this boss fight.
Here's this one location.
They showed off so damn much in this trailer.
Like,
I'm shocked that it is a 2026 game.
I really can't believe that.
Believe it.
Apparently.
And I like it.
Calling the shot for September.
That's cool.
Yeah,
get out right before November.
Looks incredible.
From there,
we went into Mega Man dual overdrive,
2027 coming to everything.
We talked about at the top of the show,
obviously one of the biggest surprise announcements
of the show, Tim didn't do it for you, though.
Yeah, I mean, I already said this, but like, real talk, like,
doing a buildup right before the game of the year, like,
this seems like a new spot for Jeff shows, right?
Like, this is now two years in a row that he's done this,
two years in a row for Capcom announcements,
which are like legacy franchises coming back.
They're very exciting.
You don't use the Dr. Wiley theme if you don't have the goods, right?
And I don't want to, like, say this wasn't the goods,
but this wasn't the greats.
Like, this definitely,
could have been more
I'm hoping that this is better
than the last Mega Man game that we got
a decade ago at this point because it has
been a while
but I mean you see this and you hear the music
they're playing and you have a lot higher expectations
I think than what
follows so
yeah like I
if if you're not going to do
the full sort of 3D god of or thing
I would have honestly
love to have seen a
like
if
you told me that this was going to be the same artists and the same team from cosmic invasion
or something and we got pixel art like a return to pixel art would have been awesome or a full
kind of reimagining of what Mega Man is like I know you know maybe legend style is but just like
bringing it into something else but there's ways to also make a 2D game still look amazing obviously
like this. I'm not trying to just write off 2D
platforms as a genre, but this just didn't look
great. To get even a little further into hater mode, like the music
that followed this bit didn't really love the visuals of it
actively didn't like. Overdrive. I'm like, what are we doing here?
A duel over dual, whatever hell it's called. I'm like, it doesn't make this
feel like a serious project compared to things and
getting the little date reveal thing. It's 2027 for this.
It's like, yeah, a lot of that stuff. I'm like, oof, what a
What a misstep for one of the final announcements of a show that I thought was killer otherwise.
Maybe we get the Ubisoft Sansa time treatment for it.
And they're like, actually we're going to put it back in the oven for another four years.
Let's actually completely change it.
There is a boss design contest going on.
I have seen making the rounds.
Chad is asking if you're going to do it, Andy, if you'll get in there and design a boss.
Boss design contest.
Sure, yeah.
Does it get put in the game?
Yeah.
I'm trying to get you actual information about it.
Hold on.
What was the
Joseph Gordon-Levitt thing
for Beyond Good
and Evil too?
This is from...
Hit record.
Yeah.
Press release here.
This month,
Capcom will host
a special boss design
contest for Mega Man
dual override
where fans will have
their chance to help
Dr. Wiley
create a brand new
robot master
to appear in the game.
There's a website
obviously.
Is it paid?
I sincerely doubt it.
You get your name.
Exposure.
Yeah.
I want money.
A lot of it.
Prizes.
We will pick
the six best
entries and select one
winner among them. Grand Prize winner
will be one person. Your robot master
design will be used in the game.
The excellence award will be six winners. Your name will
appear in the credits of the game.
I mean, like, you know, this may
to draw a robot.
I'm gonna take a photo of Tim and send it.
What your designers do with?
What you gotta do is like
just get
Tim's face and just put it like in a box.
Like, get his chest
and put it in a rectangle.
We're going to set a photo
It's him
All right, sorry
After that we got the Mario movie clip
Mario
Yeah,
Ruggia Bowser Jr.
Big letdown for me
Especially following what they did
For the first movie
I understand this is the second
Different marketing
Different understanding of like
What they're doing
And what they're trying to hold back
Clearly they're trying to hold some things back
For this one
We have a lot of big movies
Coming out in the next couple months
They're going to want to attach
their trailers
And their biggest moments there
but yeah this this clip once again just used the same music from the last couple trailers from the first movie
which is clearly like placeholder this stuff's good but not much new was shown here
luigi doing some like referential moves that's cool but like overall this anything i would have
been like oh they're going to show a new character like yoshi or a new voice or something
they didn't do that why is he all blue and purple play mario wonder uh i didn't be it
With the Wanderseed.
Yeah.
I agree.
Who was Bowser Jr.'s voice?
I thought you guys said it.
Bessi.
Benny Safdi.
Who's that?
Him and his brother are big directors,
uncut gems.
Okay, sure.
He's also an actor.
He was in the curse.
Did you see Oppenheimer?
I did.
He was the guy who's a bigger bomb guy.
She wouldn't want to shake his hand.
Bigger bomb guy.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
From there, we went to the one and only Neo3.
We found out that it's coming out February 6,
2026 with a demo releasing January 29th,
2026.
Instead of Op and Armour, Mike, I was so close to saying,
Heimerdinger.
Legal Lever two X-K-O.
In that league?
I thought you were talking about Falafel Fancy.
Oh.
You're dropping your score, huh?
No.
No, no, no.
I'm just sad.
Anybody care of a new thing?
I mean, I will play it.
I feel like I'm, I kind of have to play these in it,
because I'm, I'm interested in hopes that they, you know,
have really, really, like, gotten better and advanced the genre
because I haven't been in love with some of the more recent entries
when we talk about.
NINHA.
WOLONG and...
Wong and Rise of the Ronin.
Rise of the Ronin, yeah.
What was the other?
Oh, Stranger Paradise.
Which that was a fun one.
They've always been fun to play.
It's just everything around it
has always been like kind of lacking
when it comes to the story and characters.
Yeah.
I think I've gotten a bit burnt out
on their games,
but I will,
I'll check this one out because it's a Neo.
And I know Neo is the most revered
out of all the franchises they do.
So I feel like there's a duty.
Change Your Paradise is probably my favorite of all those.
Honestly, same.
Yeah.
And then our final game announcement
of the evening.
High Guard.
61 former members of Re-Spawn
have spun off and started Wild Light Entertainment
from the creators of Apex Legends and Titanfall
comes High Guard, a PVP raid shooter
where players will ride fight and raid as wardens
Arcane Gunslingers sent to fight for control
of a mythical content. This one dropping incredibly soon
January 26th, 26th.
So these people that are those like
those are just like NPCs in the world probably
to build your level up, I'm assuming if it's like
raid style type
I was thinking it was going to be
PVE in this as well Andy that was guarding
some sort of treasure that you and your team are going
towards while the other teams are coming at it
as well right to level you up
it looks like we have some hero abilities
on this so you are probably getting
more and more powerful maybe you're getting
different guns and abilities
like an Apex Legends
this is going to be an uphill one
right I think the excitement for me
when I think of Apex Legends in that
announcement at first when Jeff Keely was
talking about this, I was like, oh shit.
Like I'm getting a little excited here.
Former Apex Debs, he's already played it.
It's coming out next month.
Like, this is a crazy formula, Jeff.
What are you going to show me?
And then they showed and it's like, ooh, it's got the gunplay of Apex Legends that I love.
I do love a good multiplayer.
But I don't know if this showed as well as like an Apex Legends back in the day where it's
like drop everything.
Yeah.
We're about to do this, right?
Like there's a big fatigue of PVP games out there that the audience,
just a general audience is having and experiencing,
but at the same time,
there are people that are like me
who are always looking for something new,
something different, something fun, right?
And you're at this battle royal fatigue
slash extraction shooter fatigue,
and you're trying to find where you want to be
and this new idea of like a raid, right?
Like, what does that really mean?
My closest one that I can guess is hood outlaws
and legends, oddly enough,
which was just a Assassin's Creed stealth.
multi-player game where it is.
Hey, there's multiple teams.
Here in the middle is the biggest castle.
Down in the center of the castle is the big prize.
You and your team are going to work your way to get to that,
and you're going to bang into other teams.
And only one team is going to be able to extract with that alive and win it all, right?
And so I don't know.
I'm very excited to play this, but I'm apprehensive.
I don't, apprehensive.
I don't love the art we see in this little trailer where they went down to get that sword,
and the sword is what activates that big.
sort of siege, almost Trojan horse type, like, a vehicle that I'm assuming opens up and
either another team is defending that already or other teams are just trying to go for that thing.
So it kind of also reminds me of Hunt Showdown, Mike, where you were trying to play for
an objective while other teams are also trying to play for that objective.
Yeah, I think it's so tough to try and show these games off at a show like this, right?
Like, you know, I understand the excitement of being able to close game awards and what that does
as far as the notoriety and getting the name of the game out there, which is huge.
but when you talk about Apex, I think one of the best things Apex did was, hey, you can play the game right now.
Here's a new game, Apex Legends, your favorite creators already have impressions, and also you can download the game and play it right now.
Even if the game's not ready for a month and a half or however long it is, I think they needed a, hey, here's a weekend beta that you can play right now so you can get a taste of the game, be like, oh shit, I need to come back to this, take it away, and have it be the talk of the town for the next month and a half until it comes out and we get to play it fully.
I think for this to
not only just close game awards
because I think we all agree that this is a weird one to close on
but even just having it here
it's I think in commonality
we all have the thing of all right well what exactly
is the flow of it what is the structure of this game
right and those are things where you could talk about it in the trailer
but even when you do that you start to lose people
it starts to become too long of a trailer and stuff
so I don't think this is the best showing
even though I think this game does look exciting
I can't wait for it to come out
yeah I think this is a tough one
yeah horrible finish I'd say
with this one. Yeah, Tim, of course, when we talk about the finale of all of this, right? And you kind of see the dip in a lot of us, and I definitely saw it in the audience from Mega Man to hear. There was a clear dip of like, oh, we were riding a roller coaster and we were riding the highs. Jeff had bangers. And then we finished with that. And I think a lot of people were like, ooh, that's not how you finish. Yeah. I mean, I bet they paid. That, to me, screams pale. Big money. Cool. They did it. And they got that spot and they got more eyes for better or worse. We'll see if that's like worth it at the end of the day.
them. But that's the Game Awards, everyone, 2025. Like I've been saying a couple times throughout
the show, tomorrow's Gamescast is going to be us talking about your hot takes on the game
awards. We put out a tweet and a blue sky asking for them. So please go over to kind of funny
vids on those platforms and leave your responses. We'll go through them on that show tomorrow.
Before we get out of here, just a few hot takes from people who super chatted. You know what I mean?
Why not? Right. Aaron Lyme said a few excited.
announcements, Ace Combat, Gang of Dragon, Mega Man, but overall disappointing show. Nothing to be done because it's a busy year, but I feel some judges needed to play more games to broaden the range. Silent Hill F was robbed, L.O.L. Ambrosia said Tim is crushing it tonight. Tim, you did a great job. Thank you. I appreciate that. Ting and Kot said, cheers for control residents. Yeah. About that.
Ambrosia jam
But imagine another world where Fred Durst was in Resident Evil 6
Oh shit
We could have had that
You know in this the universe
El Prezo says would have loved anything from Sony
Santa Monica
And then I like this one to close us out
Remember of course we want your hot takes for free
Over on all the different things
Kobe writes in and says
Just went to the TGAs for the first time
Was electric
Just wanted to say great job all for going
Just wanted to say great job all for going all night
Love what you do
Thank you.
We love you and couldn't do that.
Go see how to bear.
He's there.
Yeah, go find Bear.
Buy him a drink.
Yeah.
Make him happy.
I guarantee he's had too many already.
He's just sleeping in the auditorium right now.
Tim, back to you.
Back to me, everybody.
And hey, back to you.
Please comment below with what you thought of the show.
Go to the places we just told you for Gamescast tomorrow.
Thank you so much for hanging out with us all day long, all night long.
And hey, all day tomorrow.
It's going to be a great time.
We only have one week left of kind of funny.
content in 2025.
I don't know that we've officially said this anywhere,
but we should probably start telling people.
January 5th will be our return in 2026.
It will be, I think, the first time
we've done a kind of funny day on January 5th since our first one
back in 2015.
No, really? I don't know.
That's crazy. Somewhere around.
I don't know if that adds up.
I don't know.
Sometimes we've done it on different days because of how things work.
I don't know.
There's seven days in a year every seven you'd think.
Yeah, but we don't want to come back.
in the middle on a Wednesday or you know what I mean there was some years we didn't do kind of funny
day in January it's all thing anybody's whatever doesn't matter January 5th we're going to be back
it's cool it's going to be a big deal January 5th it's going to be exciting there will be announcements
there'll be us hopefully there'll be you uh thank you till next time love you all goodbye
all everybody
