did this. But then I actually went to that gamescast and it turns out, yeah, five months ago we did the top 25 PlayStation 5 games, but it was some other side. It wasn't IGN. That's so funny. And it unifies us because you got some people on Android, some people on Apple, and then group texts get real weird. And then for some reason, every person over the age of 60 knows how to use WhatsApp more than their own texts. Is that true? My parents use WhatsApp like they invented the app. They know that thing in and out. They know WhatsApp better than I know WhatsApp. They're using certain features where I'm like, how did you even do this? I only know it from, yeah, international people.

And then when we go on trips, like Lucy uses it a lot, Cardi uses it a lot, Midler uses it a lot. Yeah. And so that's how I have to talk to them. I think this is more useful for, yeah, international stuff. I should just get on an iPhone, you know? No. Fair enough. Yeah.

When he first posted this list, he texted me and said, updated for the first time in 18 months. He then said, no bullshit this time. The first

time these games arrived on a Sony console, it had to be the PS5. No remasters, ports, backwards compatibility, or upgrades here. Remakes created for this generation, of course, are welcome. Okay, shit, okay. I'm sure I'm gonna fuck this up somewhere along. So he said

it has to arrive on PlayStation 5 first. Yes. First time. What if it's like a PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 game, but it's coming out the same time. That counts, yeah? I think that counts. The first time these games arrived on a Sony console, it had to be the PS5. So I think that's fine if it came out cross-consul. Okay. As long as it launched on the PS5. I like that.

I like that. I like that. Again, these are the top 25 best PlayStation 5 games as of 2026. This was updated on September 25th. See, this is where I'm already starting to trip up. Jet in the chat says, so no forbidden West. Was Horizon

But you get into, yeah, so are we shoe inning all the exclusives? And then this went up this week, right? This one up the 25th. So five days ago. Okay, so no Witcher remastered.

That would count, but it wouldn't be in there because you wouldn't know yet. Yeah. Okay. Control resonant. That's the first thing that pops to mind. Of like the new additions? Yeah. The new class.

I think Control Resonant for sure. I hope so. I've played an hour and a half with you, or two hours or whatever. I loved it. I mean, if I'm making my own list, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Control resonance is on it.

So let me go down my list then, okay? And I'll start talking about the exclusive stuff here. Astroot, is that on your list? Astrobat would be on my list. Yeah, goddamn right, kind of funny his number one game. Sorry, spoiler for your top 100. Ghost of Yote. I think, yeah.

I don't think it would make my personal list, but I think it will make his list. I think the general list, Ghost of Yote makes it in. I agree with that. I think Ghost would probably... I don't know. Because Sushimu is not going to be there.

It's another one where I feel like time hasn't been great to the perception of that game, but I think people are wrong. That game's great. I really enjoyed playing it, yeah, but it's, again, this has been, I think my... It has flaws.

My problem with the PlayStation 5 generation in many ways is that so many things that we've played on it have been sequels to other things. Where it's like the original makes an impact. And you play more of it. Yeah, that's good. Horizon 2 was so much better. Yo, I loved it. So much better. I had a lot of fun.

You know what I mean? Casey and chat speaking to me. Sackboy's a big adventure. Won't be on the list. No, no, no. But I love it. Oh, Seifu. A lot of people that kind of thing.

Again, that's another one where I feel like we kind of funny rides and dies for that game. Yeah. If we're, okay, to reach out into genres a little bit. Reach out into genres. Reach out to genres a little bit. Fighting games. I think either Tekkenate or Street Fighter should be on the list. It will probably be Street Fighter 6.

I'll throw out this wild card for you. Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls. No. PlayStation exclusive. PlayStation exclusive, but I don't think people are calling it better than Street Fighter 6. I think once you get into that, it becomes war on. So this is where it gets interesting. I guess not really.

Here's my thing. I'm climbing up on a soapbox and I know nothing about either game. Yeah. But I could see being a. IGN and I could see us being like we are talking to the very mainstream wide audience and again I would be like if I was building your ultimate library if I was getting you and your friends to come play video games

everybody knows the Avengers everybody knows Spider-Man why don't we start there though they will after this movie Cody Rose is going to bring the truth that's the thing is like if I'm compiling a list of 25 games these are 25 games you need to buy if you get a PlayStation 5 if I get to the final game section I 10 out of 10 times I'm going street fighter or Tekken or before I go

Marble Toke. Marvel To Island is like number three. It's like number three in that list. But I think the other two, especially Street Fighter. That said, similar to the fighting game thing, earlier we mentioned Ratchet.

I think that came to mind for me. It takes two. Because it takes two. I push higher than Ratchet as far as... That's a good one, which is better. But does the PlayStation
