Today, we're playing a brand new game.
CERT coin to continue. Get ready for Game Showdown.
Yo, what's up? Welcome to Game Showdown. I'm your host Blessing, Adioia Jr.
And I'm joined by one contestant representing one team. Tim, yes. Welcome to the show.
I've never been more nervous for a game showdown. You know, often I understand people who are like,
oh, Tim, he's so good at this. He's so good at this. I'm not. I just get, I get things right every once
while. I do know a lot. I have a lot of blind spots. But sitting here one-on-one. One,
with you?
Yeah.
Oh, man.
Yeah.
I don't want to shoot the bed.
I'm excited for this because right now in the season, you're pretty up.
You're up by a large margin.
Been there before, though.
You've been there before.
And, you know, some would say those are your own decisions that led to you maybe having
a downfall last season.
But you don't have to make those same decisions again.
No.
Seemingly.
We'll see what Ray-Roe is cooking.
But, Tim, how does that make you feel coming into this episode being so far ahead?
I mean, it feels good.
I do feel like I had to work for it,
despite popular belief.
This wasn't given to me.
I always love when people are just like,
oh, Bless is just giving Tim answers.
It's just like, no, I just know a lot of shit.
Okay.
You've tried your best to, like, come up with questions.
People, Mike lost the Xbox stuff.
You know what I mean?
And now, that was an episode,
come on, Mike.
I was trying to throw Mike a lob there, you know,
having the Xbox section be the double the point section a few episodes ago.
But yeah, you find ways to persevere.
I do.
Find ways to prevail.
Will I today?
I hope so.
I'm telling you, I'm like shaking.
I'm gonna be real.
I'm really not cool right now.
Of course, remember, this is
kind of funny game showdown,
our nerdy game show where players compete
to earn stars and become champion
at the end of the season.
Thank you to our Patreon producers,
Carl Jacobs, Omega Buster,
Delaney, the Somme, Twining, and Lax Nomad.
For now, let's play, insert coin, to continue.
Tim?
Yes.
You have the chance to walk out of here
with up to five more stars.
Stars!
Five more stars.
Entire stars!
Entire stars.
Here's how to earn them.
I have 15 multiple choice questions.
Answering every question correctly will earn you five stars.
You can, however, leave here with less than that.
Barrett, let's bring up the tower image to show Tim.
Each correct answer climbs you up this tower, with each save point saving your progress and earning you that many stars.
So, if you answer the first question correctly, we'll establish a save point and leave here with a star.
Beating round five will establish a save point and let you leave here with two stars.
Beating round 10 will establish a save point and allow you to leave with three stars.
And finishing round 15 ends the game with you leaving here with a total of five stars.
I like that.
you get a question wrong, your run ends.
You do have access to him to three cheat codes.
You can use each of these one time throughout your run.
You can phone a friend.
That allows you to call up a friend for help.
You'll have 60 seconds to talk to them.
Just anybody?
Anybody.
Oh, man, okay.
Yeah, not Barrett or Roger because they're working on it and they know the answers.
But anybody else, you can call them up.
Like, actually call.
Actually call.
You have your phone on you.
I do.
We made sure you had your phone on you.
You have 50-50.
5050 will get rid of two incorrect multiple choice options.
And the audience poll, your third sheet code here,
will allow you to poll the live Patreon audience
currently watching on what they think the answer is.
Tim, are you ready?
I'm ready.
All right.
Let's start with round number one.
An extremely popular multiplayer online battle arena game,
which has led to spinoffs like 2XCO and Arcane,
is called League of What?
Is it A, pros, B, legends, C, champs, or D, fighters?
The answer is, in fact, B, legends.
Are you locking that in?
I am locking it in.
That is the correct answer, Tim.
Now, I was on the board, baby.
Tim, hitting the save point will award you with a save coin.
That's what I got here.
Now, you can only hold up to one of these at a time.
If you get a question incorrect, you'll not have two options, Tim.
You can end your run and leave here with the stars you've earned,
or you can insert your coin to continue.
If you insert your coin, that'll delete your save
and you continue your run repeating the current question.
That means if you get a question wrong, you'll leave here with nothing,
but you will be able to leave here with stars and get the coin back at the next save point.
Oh, this is good.
Make that clear.
This is good, everybody.
If you get a question wrong now, you have hit the first save point, meaning you've earned
one star already.
If you get a question wrong, you have the choice.
Leave here with that one star or give me the coin and you're risking it all until you hit
the next save point.
Does that make sense to it?
Yes, it does.
I love it.
All right.
Let's move on to round number two.
Originally given the Japanese title, Huckman, what 1980s arcade game was given a 2005
Guinness World Record for the first.
the most successful coin-operated game, is it A, Donkey Kong, B, Super Mario Brothers, C,
time crisis, or D, Pac-Man?
D, Pac-Man. Are you locking that in? Locking it in.
That is correct, Tim. Let's move on to round number three.
Easing in, everyone. He's in. When the PlayStation 3 launched, what was the name of the wireless
controller first available to be used with the console.
Is it A, the 6 axis?
B, the Boomerang.
C, the Dual Shock 3, or D, the PlayStation Wireless
Controller?
You read this just so I'm sure I'm not messing it up here?
First available to be used, console.
I don't think you're trying to trick me. I'm going to go with A, the 6th axis.
Are you locking that in?
Yes.
The six-axis is the correct answer.
Walk me through your thought process on that one.
First available to be used.
I'm not sure if the boomerang was first used.
You know?
I don't think the boomerang ever came out.
I know.
I never came out.
But was it used at a trade show or something?
I see.
I don't know.
But yeah, question number three, I don't think you get that tricky that soon.
Exactly.
You were sure it wasn't the Dual Shock 3.
No, no.
About later on.
Yeah.
And then PlayStation Wireless Controller.
That's one that I threw in there just in case.
Yeah.
You know what I mean?
Yeah.
Tim.
Let's move on to round number four.
In the game, Pac-Man, what is the name of the orange ghost?
Is it A, Blinky, B, Pinky, C, Clyde, or D, Gerald?
This is diabolical.
Yeah.
This is just, how am I supposed to?
How am I supposed to know this?
I know it's not Gerald.
Blinky, Pinky Clyde.
I imagine Pinky's the pink one.
But Blinky and Clyde don't scream colors to me, you know?
Man, I am in an unfortunate spot.
I did not want to be in this early in the game.
The questions get harder as you go.
It's the name of the game.
I have no confidence in this.
No real confidence.
I'm shooting in the dark.
My thing is, I don't know that I want to use a 50-50 lifeline
because that's, I'm already.
I've already ruled out one, and what are the chances that that one is one, you get what I'm saying.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Of course, you have two other cheat codes.
You can phone a friend if you want to you.
You can pull the audience.
Yeah.
You also have your coin, which is a safety net for you.
You're right.
You're right.
You're right.
You're right.
You're right.
This question wrong if you want to.
Thinking this through, who would I call?
Jared Petty comes to mind.
I don't know that he would know this.
This is a weird one.
This is one that I couldn't know.
But Tim Geddy's could know.
But I don't.
There was an episode of KFGD where we were talking about names of the Pac-Man ghosts.
I think it was Kevin that was like, oh, you didn't know this?
Like I said the name of the ghost.
He's like, or I was trying to think of a name of a ghost.
And he was like, oh, yeah, this is this.
The names of them, yes.
Yeah.
Which one correlates to which one.
Who knows?
If only we had a huge Pac-Man fan here at the office.
If only.
If only.
All right, I'm going to have to do something here.
I need to weigh.
I feel like I should keep this
and be silly to use this so quickly.
Yeah, as a reminder for those watching, too,
the next save point is after round five.
Right now, we're on round four.
So really, you just got to get this question right
and the next question right.
If you had a new save point,
which would return your coin
if you wanted to use it now,
or if you wanted to sacrifice it.
When I get to a save point,
so if I mess this up,
if I get it wrong,
I have to use the coin.
But then I get it right
and I get to the next save point.
I get another coin?
Correct.
Oh.
You can only have one coin at a time,
but every save point,
points gets you back the coin if you've lost.
Okay, I like that.
The game Pac-Man, what is the name of the orange ghost?
Not Gerald.
I think he must be the pink one.
So really, I am 50-50 between Blinky and Clyde.
Blinky doesn't read orange to me.
C, Clyde, final answer.
C, Clyde.
Is the correct answer?
Yes.
answer, which puts you in a really good place, of course.
Finishing round number five will establish a new save point.
And so essentially you could get...
I get one free wrong answer.
Two free shots here, yeah.
Round number five.
According to Market Research Company, MPD Group, which of the following video game consoles
sold the most units in 2008?
Is it A, PlayStation 3, B, Xbox 360, C, the Nintendo Wii, or
D the Nintendo DS.
A lot more pressure
when one wrong answer.
It's not that bad.
All right, let's talk this through here.
2008.
That would be
three years into the
360, two years into PS3,
two years into the Wii,
three years into the DS.
The DS sold so many units, though.
So did the Wii.
That one PS3 started really
picking up Steam, though. That's a post-uncharacter.
carded world, post-metal gear solid four.
Don't think it was the PS3.
Want to say it's one of the Nintendo's.
Oh, man.
I always remember watching Who Wants to Be a Millionaire,
and it's these talking out, you know?
Yeah.
They usually have that tense music that I got to be real.
Happy's not happening right now,
because I think that would spin me into a tizzy.
I'm trying to play the long game.
I'm trying to make it all the way.
So your strategy is to make it all the way.
You're trying to get those five stars.
I'm trying to get the five stars.
Okay.
I'm trying to make it impossible to close that distance.
But this is a...
I don't want to use a lifeline this early.
But if I end up having to use a lifeline,
I should do it before, I guess,
and get it wrong.
There's a meta going on, everyone.
The following video game console
sold the most units in 2008.
Nintendo Wii...
Go deep.
Gut tells me it's the DS.
Nintendo DS, final answer.
Nintendo DS is incorrect.
Fuck me.
Tim.
Using the coin to continue, everybody.
Now you're an interesting place, of course.
I sure am.
When you insert your coin to continue, that does save you from getting knocked out.
However, you do start from that exact same question.
And so I ask you again, according to market research company and PD group, which of the
following video game consoles sold the most units in 2008.
Is it A, the PlayStation 3, B, the Xbox 360,
C, the Nintendo Wii, or D, the Nintendo DS?
Of course, you already guessed one of these,
and so you can narrow down this a little bit
with the information you have.
This question is so specific,
and it has, like, multiple answers it could be
to the point that I'm not confident
I can call any friend that would just know this.
The audience is the same way.
I just, I don't know.
I don't know what that looks like.
If I'm being honest, it's more that I don't want them cheating.
I don't want them Googling.
I don't want that.
Tarnishing my record.
I don't know what they're.
So I trust the Patreon audience.
Go vote with their hearts.
But I also don't know that any, any, I don't, I can't think of specific people that
are confident in this answer, you know?
And so I'm not sure that the audience specifically.
Yeah.
I believe in them.
I'm gonna have to 50-50 this one.
I need to continue.
I need to keep going.
All right.
Well, I'm going to our randomizer.
I'm rolling right now.
The answers that it's not.
It is not option A, PlayStation 3,
and it is not option D, Nintendo DS.
But now you're down to two options here.
Is it option B, the Xbox 360?
Or is it option C, the Nintendo Wii?
If you get it wrong here, that ends your entire run, Tim.
And you've inserted your coin, meaning you will not leave here with any star today.
Yeah.
No pressure.
No, there's pressure.
God, this is so tough because the 360 was a successful generation for Xbox.
But that was three years into its life cycle.
Year after Halo 3, kind of think, like, what was popping off?
in 2008 on the Xbox side.
That Mass Effect?
Battle 7.
Nintendo Wii, that's two years into its life cycle.
Year after Mario Galaxy.
You still have two lifelines
or two cheat codes, I should say, that you can use here.
I'm just not confident.
That's the thing is, like, I don't, like, if I called
someone and asked this, I think they'd be in the same spot as me.
Yeah.
My gut says Nintendo Wii.
Final answer.
You're locking in Nintendo.
we. Again, you get this incorrect. That ends your run right here. Tim is locked in Nintendo
Wii. Nintendo Wii is the correct answer. Oh, thank God. I don't know why I overthought
it so much. Yeah, that one surprised me of you overthinking that. Just the year 2008 threw me off,
man. Oh, for sure. If you're thinking of that era, though, we dominated that era in terms of
series. For sure. Yes. But I just didn't know if there was like a fall off year or something. And like
The 360 didn't do that bad.
So I'm like, where was the spike for it?
Yeah.
You getting mixed up with the Wii versus the DS does make a lot of sense.
The exact numbers here that I have from the end, these are via the NPD.
I'm pulling this from VGsales.fandum.com.
The Nintendo Wii sold around 10,10,151,000 units during 2008.
The Nintendo DS sold 9,951,100 units.
So those were close.
But then with the 360, that sold around 4,735,400.
The PlayStation 3 sold 3,544,900.
Wow. Okay.
So, yeah, that year at least, the Nintendo Wii was heading shoulders above the PlayStation
and the Xbox consoles.
Fun fact for you, PS2 sold 2.5 million that year.
Wow.
So not that far off from the PlayStation 3. Funny enough, PSP was also doing decently that
year.
That sold 3.8 million that year, which is more.
than the PS3. And so very interesting numbers here. And yeah, I know that's a tough one.
Because when you think of that generation, it's the we, but when you think of that year.
The year, years throw it off because, like, I know the generation for wheat clearly,
but it's like how much of that was that initial grandparents are buying Wii sports.
You know what I mean? Like, there was a falloff, but apparently not that much.
Of course, Tim, I've now handed you your coin back, meaning you've established a new save point.
Barry, if we can bring up the tower again to show where Tim's at, because Tim has hit
question five and completed question five, meaning you've earned two stars.
You can leave here with two stars here, and you've also gotten that coin back, which is a little
safety net for you.
Now your next goal will be to make it to question 10 to earn three stars.
So I can leave with two stars.
I'm leaving with at least two stars no matter what.
Well, unless you insert your coin to continue and then get another question wrong, remember.
Yeah.
Right now, that coin is your safety net.
Got it.
Yeah, as long as you have that coin, you can leave here with those stars.
If you don't have that coin, you don't get those stars if you get another question wrong.
Really smart, you guys.
Thank you.
All right, Tim.
Let's move on to question six.

What is the real first name of Solid Snake from the Metal Gear series?
Is it A, Jack?
B. John. C. David or D. Sam.
Okay, it's not Sam. Jack is
Raiden. John sounds right.
At one point he did go by David and it's David haters, the voice actor, and that was the same thing.
But Solid Snake, big boss, different characters.
Oh, man. Tough because I'm just not.
I'm once again just not confident.
I'm going to phone a friend, but I need to decide who that friend is.
I don't even think this requires the biggest metal gear expert in the world.
I just need somebody that knows metal gear.
Someone that would know this, Greg Miller.
I know, I know.
And honestly, he was my first thought.
I'm like, do I want to call Greg Miller?
That would be very silly.
But more Hussein.
is the man that I am going to call.
Greg Miller would be a funny one to call
because then it turns into the,
he's always lying versus he's always telling the truth
meme of like, which head is he?
Yeah.
Is he telling me the lie to throw me off
or is he telling me the truth to throw me off, you know?
All right, I'm calling him.
Right, Tmore Hussein.
What kind of happened?
Is he using for him?
Yeah, what the hell was that?
Can I get that?
Yeah, well, that's unfortunate.
If somebody doesn't answer, you have one more shot to call somebody.
And so that was your first shot.
You have one more person to call here.
Who are you choosing?
I mean, fuck it, right?
Let's do it for the lulls, okay?
Oh, no.
Please don't fuck me, Greg.
Please don't fuck me.
This is such a choice.
I know.
I know.
Oh, hi, hi.
Greg Miller, you're live on kind of funny game showdown.
I need help.
What is the real first name of Solid Snake
from the Metal Gear series?
Jack?
Jack?
Jack, John, David, or Sam?
Jack was Raiden, right?
Yeah.
Oh, wait, you're right.
No, no, well, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
I'm between John and David.
It's David, it's David, it's David, it's David.
You're right.
Sorry, I got hung up on Raiden.
Thank God it was a multiple choice.
Yeah, I don't, David.
It's not John?
No.
For some reason, I remember being John.
Jack and John.
Yeah, but aren't you thinking of naked snake?
Boss.
When he's talking to the boss.
Yeah.
But Solid Snake's David.
That's...
Yes.
I'm with you.
Everything you're saying is exactly how I feel.
Okay.
All right.
I love you.
So don't be a coward.
Lock it in.
Yeah.
Bye.
Bye.
All right.
Your 60 seconds are up.
You made it perfectly.
there. Hey, I'm just texting me too.
Oh. I'll call you in a second.
Tough. Too late.
All right. So we gave you an answer
there. He did and
I have to go with it because it's what I thought it was too.
Okay. I'm going with C. David.
Are you locking that in? I'm locking it in.
C. David
is the correct
answer. Let's go go. I think he was
trying to do the reverse psychology thing though
because at first he came in strong with Jack.
He came in strong with Jack until you started like talking for.
We got him there though.
Because what's funny was before I looked at the answers, just hearing the question,
I jumped to Jack as well.
So we got there though.
All right.
Well, Tim, let's move on to round number seven.
You're doing good.
Thank you.
You're doing good.
You're almost halfway through this.
I'm only sweating a little.
You've used two of your cheat codes here.
You got one sheet code left.
You can still pull the audience, but also you're still holding on to your coin.
And so that is your get out of jeet codes.
free card right now. That is your safety net. If you do get a question wrong, you could leave
here with your two stars or you can give that to me and then try to go for even more. Let's get into
round number seven. Pashbury, Queens, and Ocean Flats make up some of the locations of San Fierro,
a fictional city which represents GTA's version of which real-life city. Is it A, Las Vegas,
B, San Francisco, C, London, or D, San Diego.
I was never more excited for anything less than when I heard that GTA San Andreas was going to feature not just Los Angeles,
but also Vegas and also my hometown of San Francisco.
And I was very let down by how little of the game actually takes place there in San Fierro,
a.k.A.B. San Francisco.
Are you locking that in?
I'm locking that.
That is the correct answer.
You ask you, I don't think I could be more confident in.
something. But you asked me if I'm locking it in through me into a twirl. I don't know, man.
Yeah. Listen, that's the name of the game with insert coin to continue. You had to have confidence
in there. You had confidence in that one. I'm proud of you. All right. Let's move on to round
number eight, probably halfway through this. Which game became the first to win the honor
of Game of the Year at the Game Awards, Bafters, Golden Joystick Awards, the Dice Awards,
and the game developer choice awards.
Was it A, player obscure Expedition 33,
B, Baldersgate 3, C, Eldon Ring,
or D, the Legend of Zelda, Breath of the Wild?
Damn, man.
I'm fairly confident in it's Expedition 33,
mainly because it won everything.
Like, that was the story of that game.
Is it won everything?
And if another one of these games won all of these,
the story of that game would have been.
It won everything, but it wasn't.
It wasn't.
Clear, Obscure, Expedition 33.
Are you locking it in?
Locking it in.
Clear Obscure Expedition 33 is incorrect, Tim.
Damn.
You're at a crossroads now.
God.
Damn.
Are you going to insert your coin to continue?
Or will you leave here with two stars?
You're on round number eight.
As a reminder, after round 10, you establish new save point.
You have one cheat code left, the audience poll.
You have some resources there, a resource there.
Oh, man.
Two stars is just a lot.
And you're up by a lot currently.
I will say, unless there was some trickery going on.
I don't see Greg or Mike making it far in this.
So it might be the best strat to just take my stars and run.
Because what I don't want to do is use this.
Sorry, how close I'm added to the next save point?
So right now, this is round number eight.
If you insert your coin, you start again from the current round.
You have to finish round 10.
You have to get round 10 correct.
So you have essentially three rounds to get to the next save point.
It sucks because more than anything, I just want to keep playing because I want to answer all the questions.
A fun time, isn't it?
Starting from this same question, do you think you have an answer?
No, that's my problem.
It's like looking at this.
I'm just like, it could be.
Any of those.
Like, I'm trying to look at these award shows and be like,
well, I know that one of these didn't win that,
and I can't do that.
I don't remember what year Untitled Goose game came out.
That'd be very helpful.
Because I know that won the Dice Awards,
and that would eliminate one of these.
I don't mean to belabor all this.
Sure, sure, sure. Belabor all you want.
But it's two stars, right?
Two stars.
The value of that, that's great value.
That's two weeks of my life.
life of having to win.
Yep.
You know?
What shenanigans do y'all have the rest of the season, though?
Because I'm looking at it right now, and I'm going to be honest.
Okay, audience, I want to keep going.
But I'm like, should I risk it?
Like, what's two stars to me?
You know what I mean?
Two stars to Greg and Mike would be fucking everything.
Two stars to me is just...
You're in for the love of the game right now.
If you continue, you're in it for the love of the game, which I respect.
Yeah.
But also, nobody will get mad at you for walking away.
No, I know that.
I want you to know that.
I know that.
Not that I'm trying to sway you each or any sort of way.
I'm just here to ask the questions.
Again, the smart thing to do is for me to wrap it up.
Take my coin and go home.
I'm putting my coin in.
What's the fucking point of living life?
You know what I mean?
Tim is inserting his coin.
Let's pull the fucking audience.
I did not see this happen.
Paul the audience.
Roger, if you can insert the poll into the live audience chat, of course, our Patreon
audience is watching live.
Tim, as we're looking at this question, again, I know you said it can be any of these
three, are you leaning one way or the other?
And also, how much do you trust that the audience knows this information?
Unlike the sales question with Xbox, with 2008, I am confident that there are people in our
audience that just, that know this for one reason or another.
It's a process of elimination of if you know that a different game won one of these awards,
then we're good.
But starting your game of the year at the game awards,
the BFTAs, I couldn't tell you.
Sure.
Golden joysticks, I couldn't tell you.
Dice Awards because of Greg.
But Goose Game is the only one that I like, remember.
But when was Untitled Goose Game?
It was during the pandemic.
Was it the year it takes two one?
That doesn't help me, though.
I'm pretty sure it was.
The poll is out.
Poll is out.
Patreon.
member, get in there, if you're watching
live, let us know what your
vote is for what you think the correct
answer is. Of course, this is your
third and final cheat code that you're using.
You've inserted your coin.
You have two rounds ahead of you.
I made a bad call. Before you get to the save point.
It's no way. These questions have been
getting me. You either made a really bad call
or a really good call depending on how well you do
in these next two questions.
Three, including the one we're currently on, Tim.
I just like going for it, bless.
You know? Yeah.
I'm proud of you.
I don't think about Tim this way.
I don't think of Tim as the guy who's going to go for it when it doesn't make sense.
I feel like I have to be on the show.
The results of the poll go like this.
Eldon Ring has 4% of the vote.
Breath of the Wild has 8% of the vote.
Claire Obscier has 10% of the vote.
And Balders Gate 3 has 78% of the audience vote.
Okay.
I want to fucking kick 10% of our audience
balls in the balls.
Why would
why would you say Expedition?
I already said that and it was wrong.
They're trolls.
What was Breath of the Wild?
Breath of the Wild had
8% of the vote.
Balders Gate had?
78%.
Yeah.
The Balders Gate,
final answer.
Balders Gate 3
is the correct answer.
And now we go into the unknown.
Yeah, we got two more rounds
before you hit another save point.
Tim.
How are you feeling right now?
It's stupid.
Fair enough.
Yeah.
Fair enough.
Listen, I love the confidence.
I love the...
This is Tim Ragnarok.
I don't know if you remember Tim Ragnarok from a few years ago.
Oh, yeah.
He's back.
No, I mean, that's the thing is like,
there's something about these trivia shows.
It gets me fucking going.
Yeah.
And I'm just like, I want it all.
I don't want to just kind of get some things right.
I want to dominate or be dominated.
All right.
Well, let's see if you can dominate or be dominated.
In round number nine,
before it was ever delayed,
what was the original first announced release date for the Legend of Zelda movie?
Is it A, February 26th, 2027?
B, March 26th, 27th, C, April 30th, 2027, or D, May 7th, 2027?
I have questions.
Was it ever delayed?
Or was it pushed up?
Because I think it was pushed up.
You know what?
That's a fair question, Tim.
I'm going to double check.
but I feel I get a pass to the next question.
No, you're not going to get that.
You're going to get a change of wording on the question.
I'm keeping with the wording.
Before it was ever delayed,
what was the original first announced release date
for The Legend of Zelda movie?
So here's my problem.
I don't know.
I remember that it got pushed up,
but not by much.
It was by like a week.
But my problem is,
I don't think it's February.
I don't think it's March.
So it's that April and May, but did it get pushed to April 30th from May?
Or did it get pushed to April 23rd or something like that?
Which is what I'm leaning towards.
And I have to make an answer.
I don't have anyone to help me.
I don't have any coins on my side.
The only thing that could be getting in my way is, was it delayed?
Like, was it delayed and then pushed up from its delayed thing, which I just don't remember.
But I don't think they ever put a date on it if that's the case.
It would have just been a vague year or something.
something.
The movies are very different than games.
They just be saying shit.
They just be putting out dates and they don't care if it actually hits it or not.
See, April 30th.
Lock it in.
You're locking it in.
Remember, if you get this incorrect, you're walking out of here with nothing.
Yeah.
No stars.
You're locking in.
You said, see, April?
Yeah.
You're locking in C. April 30 of 2027.
Tim?
that is the incorrect answer.
God, damn it.
You've lost it all.
So for context for the entire Zelda movie situation,
the original date was indeed March 26, 2027.
It got delayed and then pushed back.
And so the first delay was May 7th,
which was one of the options here.
But then it got pushed back slightly to April 30th.
And so a lot of different dates for the Zelda movie.
but ultimately the original date was March 26.
All the options I have here are the dates that it keeps jumping to, I think, with the exception
of February.
But yeah, started March 26, which was option to you.
How are you?
I am good.
How are you, man?
You're very good.
You're live right now and kind of funny game showdown.
We're playing the game that's not who wants to be a millionaire, but kind of who wants to
be a millionaire.
You were my phone, a friend option, but because you didn't answer, it's a whole thing.
It doesn't matter.
But just for funsies, I'm going to ask you the question.
question, which is...
Okay.
Well, let's not even given
the multiple choice.
Let's just throw it at him.
Yeah.
What is the real name of Solid Snake?
First name.
Oh, well, it should be David.
Nailed it.
Yeah.
You got it.
Come on.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Come on.
Come on.
That's chump change, man.
That's easy.
I love you, dude.
Talk to you later.
All right.
Take easy, bye.
All right.
Tim?
Sorry to say.
Yeah.
You're leaving here with no stars.
But how do you feel that you've made it through
insert coin to continue. I mean, I love this. The pressure got to me, and then all of a sudden
it started being riveting. You know what I mean? I couldn't look away. You made it further than
I was concerned. People wouldn't make it too. Which makes me feel good. You also lost on a
question that for some reason I thought you would have gotten. I mean, me too. You know,
but this, you win some, you lose something. This time I lost. It's okay, though. It's not okay.
It's not okay at all. Thank you so much for joining me on this episode. Before we let you go,
So let's update the star.
I'm calling back.
Oh, go ahead.
Hello.
Hello, also happy birthday.
Thank you so much.
I appreciate that.
It's going to age real well for this episode.
Let's bring up the star standings and catch up with Tim's score for the overall season.
Of course, coming into this episode, you entered with five stars, and now you're leaving
with five stars.
Still a good place to be.
Yeah.
Still a great place to be, honestly.
I mean, let me tell you this.
Yeah.
I don't feel horrible.
about it. This is just one battle in a big war.
Yes. That is Game Showdown.
There's a lot of points on the board. If they play it smart, I can see them leaving
with two stars. It'd still be losing. There's no way they're good. Take it to the
thing. And that is it for this episode of Game Showdown, insert coin to continue.
We have way more episodes of Game Showdown left in the season, including next week's
episode, which is Insert Coin to continue with the one and only Greg Miller representing
team Orr. So stay tuned for that. Until next time, it's been our pleasure to serve you.
