New episode of Klein Alley Show is about to begin, but before that can happen, Alley, let's tell the people what they need to know.
You mean about San Bernardino International Airport?
Of course I'm talking about the San Bernardino International Airport. Easy, close, and not LAX.
And parking is always just five bucks a day, which means it is El Cheapo approved.
Fly nonstop to Provo, Utah for all the skiing, snowboarding, or wives you can handle.
And of course you can fly into my hometown of San Francisco, San Bernardino International Airport, when airports smell great.
K-Rock, Line Alley Show.
It's not just a regular day here at K-Rock.
The entire company is doing a bring your dog to work day today,
which is why Jake doesn't feel special because he brings his dog to work every day.
And today other people are roaming through the halls with dogs,
and everyone seems like to be in a good mood.
Vanessa's throwing them against walls, welcoming them to the building.
That's not true.
We have a target set up.
A big giant bullseye on the wall.
I couldn't be more happy for today.
Yeah, Vanessa wanted to point out.
Yeah, because of all the dogs slamming into the wall.
All the throwing.
All the throwing.
Barry, please speak on the mic.
It's like, speak on my behalf.
It's like dog shot put.
My dog's unconscious on the floor right now because of your most recent throw.
But everyone seems to be in a good mood about this Bring Your Dog to Work Day.
It's one of the things corporations do to try to raise morale.
Yeah, and if you really love bad puns, it's a great day.
Oh, Allie's so mad about this.
Let's have a few rules to keep our area safe, fun, and positive.
Oh, man.
I do hate all of the emails that have come out about this.
And Postmaster Johnny's excited, not because he has a dog, but because I guess they're doing some sort of a lunch later today where people are going to show up with their dogs.
And Johnny's been trying to predict what he believes that it's going to be.
And he had this crack in the case earlier.
He goes, I think they're going to be serving hot dogs because it's in the name and because there's a giant picture of a hot dog on the invitation.
Yeah, and it's K-Rock, man.
It's like, that's the cheapest thing to make.
There's a plate of hot dogs on this graphic.
Yeah, let me get some glizzies today, man.
It's going to be a great day today.
So Johnny's all excited about that.
Meanwhile, other people just, as Ali said, it's a great day for small talk.
Because you're right, it's the same five questions.
How old?
Where'd you get them?
Where'd you get them?
How long you had them?
Blah, blah, blah.
All the rescue stories.
Is that a doodle?
And then I understand that there are people like Jake that take their dog to work every day.
I have a friend who has taken her dog to work every single day for like 10 years.
Everybody loves the dog.
Everyone knows the dog.
That's a specific situation where that dog is used to coming to work.
It's part of their daily routine.
Does your dog want to be in this small studio right now, or would he rather just be at home sleeping in his bed?
Well, minus the whole Vanessa throwing him in the wall earlier, he seems like he's pretty happy to be here.
He seems unsettled.
No, he's chilling on the floor right now.
He's passed out.
Every time I get up, he's following me around, he's sniffing, and then he's giving like a half-bark thing.
Because you give off a bad vibe.
Dogs know you don't like them.
I'm actually like a dog whisperer.
Who saved that dog that we found on the side of the road?
That dog loved me.
All of us did.
And I found its owner and everything.
I used to be a dog walker, okay?
I was like a person that was able to train dogs that were untrainable.
Yesterday.
My problem is the dog owners, and then the dogs are anxious, and the dogs don't want
to be in a building, and then the dogs, what if the dogs don't like the other dogs?
It's a whole thing, and they're smelling each other's butts.
They had to move this into the sound space so that they could have more space, because
otherwise it would just turn into a giant mauling.
Well, I think most people that are going to bring their dog...
Somebody had some sort of trauma with the dog.
I'll tell you what it is.
When Allie was a dog sitter, at one point, she was forced to rub medication on a dog's
vulva for weeks.
What?
I did have to put, well, I had to brush the...
Did it get turned on?
And I think, no.
Oh, yeah.
I think it is completely ruined.
I've never gotten over it.
And Allie's such a cat.
This is all too tempting.
She's very triggered by this.
Allie doesn't like, because she's a cat person,
and she doesn't like the idea that the company goes to great lengths to...
I like dogs.
I just don't think they need to be in every public space.
And I don't think that people...
I think people assume that their dogs are better behaved than they are
or that it's not going to be complete chaos.
I'm kind of with Allie on this one, too.
LA's gotten really crazy with their dog people
and letting them bring everywhere.
Leave the dudes at home.
Just leave the dog at home.
I get that you love the dogs.
I love dogs, too,
but just put the dogs in dog spaces or in your home,
and then they have to create these little quiet zones.
If your pup needs a break from the excitement,
feel free to use any of the open offices for a little rest.
We know who the real dog haters are, Johnny and Allie.
I'm not a dog hater.
I'm just saying, leave the dogs at home.
Don't bring them to work, bro.
We weren't doing this in the 90s and even like 10 years ago, dude.
I agree.
This is spoken by real, true dog haters.
No, we like dogs.
And I know that this is a polarizing topic.
And the people that don't like dogs, because I can tell that whenever I show up anywhere with my dog,
and I don't bring my dog a lot of places, but whenever I show up, my old dog I used to bring everywhere
because she was little.
I could hold her in my arm like a football.
That dog you couldn't even tell was there.
Right.
But this one's bigger.
But whenever I show up with a dog, Allie goes, she doesn't do like a, like Vanessa, all kidding aside, will run up and go, oh, she has that little kid voice.
Oh, my God, you had Jerry.
And then Jerry starts howling because of the high frequency.
But whenever you see my dog, Allie, you go, oh, you brought him.
It's like a disappointed reaction.
It's not a happy reaction.
Well, because I know it's a constant, oh, when does the dog have to go out?
Hey, can you take the dog out for a dump?
Are you thirsty?
are you this it's just a whole thing to constantly being making sure the dog is
happy and good and i don't think the dog really wants to be sitting in the studio i think the
dog would rather just be home why don't you demand uh because you're all about equality
and the dog is covered in skunk crap well he has fleas he does stink the fleas so why do i
the good news is around that just because it's bringing your dog to work day i think the skunk
killed most of the fleas so i got that going well great i stand corrected hey man i was playing with
your dog all this morning does that mean i have fleas probably johnny probably you do welcome to
bring your dog to work today but ali are you upset because there's no cat day because would you like
to fight uh fight the powers that be at k-rock and say let's do a sad lonely lady cat day here
because there are i know there's a few people like you that have a bunch of cats i would love
for that and to have everyone just have their cat in a crate and then the crate is just
also to bring all your cats to see who's the craziest yeah right exactly who has the most
cats we could have a crazy cat lady pageant or ali could go up there what's your trick what lunch
would we serve for that day well i yesterday put my foot in my mouth big time because i was trying
to make small talk with a co-worker here and i said hey excited for bring your dog to work day
i can't wait to see your dog again and then she looked all watery in the eyes and she turned another
reason turned to me and said oh oh you know my dog's dead now right and i said no how would i
know that i didn't know and it was the most weird uncomfortable thing and then i had to give her a
hug, and it was all... And she cried.
She cried after the hug. Are you for real?
Oh, yeah, dude. Oh, yeah.
Oh, my God. I didn't know. I was just trying
to be, like, nice. Like, hey, tomorrow
I can't wait to see your doggy, because I
don't really have a lot to talk about with her, so...
You hugged her?
She looked like she was... With that neck?
She gave her a side hug. It wasn't
a full wrap around. Yeah, I gave her a side hug. That would have been way too
intense. You would have crushed her. Yeah, I crushed her,
basically. Was this dog passed
recently? I don't know. It seems
Seems like the way she reacted, she was not over it yet.
Get over it, lady.
No, no, no.
Yeah, but what if there are people that have been bitten by dogs?
What if there are people who are sad about their dead dog?
There's a lot of scenarios, and they even have another thing here that says,
if you're allergic to dogs, we will discuss a recommended solution or a work-from-home option.
Come on.
Are you for real?
Yeah.
They put that in the e-vite?
Yeah.
I should work from home.
Oh, man.
You have a dog.
So they're telling people that are allergic to dogs that you don't come in today.
Yeah, just don't come in.
That's so funny.
Because this is part of their pause on responsibility.
It's going to be a positive day here at K-Rock as everyone has brought their dogs in.
Later this morning, we'll see if my dog is smarter than Johnny.
That's going to be the game later today.
So we can't wait for that.
Quick break.
We're back in a moment.
If you'd like to win your way onto this bus to Santa Barbara, the only thing standing between you and your access is a woman by the name of Moist Joyce.
She loves public transit.
Of course I can.
Moist Joyce says come and meet me.
I'm juicy.
I'm looking for any prints with a house.
I don't know.
You own a house, you're here on vacation.
So she is running out of air as we speak.
But if you'd like to play a little game called Moist Joyce Passwords,
she's going to help you get on the bus.
And we will get to that next at 800-520-1067.
