Starting point is 00:00:00 We'll get into an episode of Klein Alley Show in just a moment, but in the meantime, let's tell you about our absolute favorite place on the planet. Yep, that would be San Bernardino International Airport, where you can go through the airport process without waiting in long lines and overpaying for parking. Quick connections to the Bay Area and the world, plus ski and snowboard in Provo from San Bernardino all winter long. Every other airport, you're going to be in long TSA lines, you're going to be miserable, you're going to say, oh, I got to get there two, three hours before my flight.
Starting point is 00:00:24 Not at San Bernardino International Airport. And now we send you on a direct flight into our podcast, which starts right now. This is the world famous K-Rock. Good morning. Just after 9 o'clock. It is Tuesday, last I checked. And if you need us, we're here for you. 800-520-1067.
Starting point is 00:00:40 Call, text, engage with the show. You can watch us. We're streaming live on YouTube. Hello, NetBangers and everyone else who's checking us out there. Thank you for continuing to spread the word and help us to hashtag grow the show. There's Allie. She's growing herself right now. I am.
Starting point is 00:00:54 Literally growing. How many pounds are you up since you first got impregnated? I think I'm at 18 pounds. 18 pounds. Yep. And I've entered month five in my fifth month of pregnancy now. Fifth month. Five more to go.
Starting point is 00:01:09 Yeah. I'm about halfway done. You're almost a 10-month-old. That's Jake the Nerd over there. You got DJ Omar Khan, of course, in the back taking them calls. Producer Vanessa, Postmaster Johnny. And if you need us, lots of ways to get involved this hour on the show. We will get you into the next four live shows happening here at K-Rock,
Starting point is 00:01:29 which means with the shows, you'll get the music, you'll get the bands, you'll get the experience, you'll get the In-N-Out Burgers at the K-Rock In-N-Out Burger Soundspace, and you will have access to all four of those shows as we celebrate any four accomplishment in your life. Ali, explain what a four accomplishment is. Well, if you've been married four times, if you've been fired four times in a row,
Starting point is 00:01:50 If you've, say, gotten divorced four times. Still have your four skin. Right, sure. Had a four-some. If you've had a four-some. That's a great four-accomplishment. Any four-accomplishment we will take. Only have four fingers.
Starting point is 00:02:05 That's a great one as well. We're really not picky here. You have four cars. Maybe you're rich. So we will hear about your four accomplishments later this hour and get you into the next four shows on KROQ. Maybe you have four boyfriends. Currently. Currently.
Starting point is 00:02:21 Might be a lot to juggle. So we will get into all of that. Think about it. And we'll tell you when to call with your four accomplishments later this hour on KROQ. Get your four accomplishments ready. That's anything that you have done four times that we should celebrate, good, bad, or otherwise. They say death comes in threes. But what comes in fours?
Starting point is 00:02:36 That is the question. And we'll get your calls at 800-520-1067 and get you into the next four shows here at KROQ, which includes a lot of great bands like The Paradox, Fontaines, D.C., Dexter, The Moonrocks, and The Beaches. So be ready to win your way into all four of those shows. you don't have to pick. Question, Allie, because I know you're a big woo-woo therapy person. You've done a lot more therapy than I have. You love therapy so much you married a goddamn therapist. Well, I
Starting point is 00:02:58 didn't do it because I loved therapy, but it has become part of the territory now. I'm not a lover of therapy, but I have attempted to dabble in it occasionally and yes, have I been dropped by a few therapists? Sure. Have I fired a few? Absolutely. Have a few of the situations just ghosted
Starting point is 00:03:14 themselves? You? Yes. Yes, believe it or not, me. But I'm currently in a couples therapy situation uh on and off not a regular thing but i sometimes once a month sometimes more if we're fighting about something i'm like ah let's just get a third party involved here i know i'm right so it's an as needed situation i mean no it was it's it's a regular if we can accommodate it but schedule wise but it's really tricky because a lot of these therapists you know some of them they don't do fridays and they don't do weekends and they don't do after 5 p.m and it's like hard
Starting point is 00:03:45 to try to find any sort of an hour uninterrupted hour in the middle of the week to sit down and tell another person why your marriage is crumbling. 2 p.m. It's the only time that works. But lately I've noticed... Was this last session brought on because of a certain lady we had on? No. Oh, yeah?
Starting point is 00:04:01 How did that turn out? It was not. Oh, my God. Friday. That was a heated exchange. This was not brought on by that. Did you have to do damage control all weekend about that, though? No, it was never spoken about again.
Starting point is 00:04:12 Oh, great. It was buried. I'm sure it'll come up in the next session. Okay. But I have noticed, and I'm curious if this is normal behavior or not for a therapist, that this couples therapist we meet with, which is via Zoom, by the way, has lately started snacking during the sessions.
Starting point is 00:04:26 Snacking on what? Okay, now here's my point. The last time I swear that I heard her make microwave popcorn and then eat the popcorn, pretty much watching my wife and I fight while she sits there eating popcorn. Wait, she's not taking notes or anything? No.
Starting point is 00:04:43 Well, now you can AI it. Yeah, I think she is taking notes. Oh, that's right. Yeah, I guess so. But at some point, we're fighting about God knows what, and someone does more, and you're not picking up the kids or whatever. It's like a movie. She's got to watch it with popcorn.
Starting point is 00:04:56 And she's sitting there eating popcorn. She's got to do it with the M&M's. It's the only combination. Watching us. And I look at it, and at first I go, damn, I'm jealous. I really wish I had popcorn. Does she have a giant soda, too? No, but at one point, I thought to myself, we've been now back and forth for 15 minutes.
Starting point is 00:05:15 I haven't heard this woman say a goddamn thing, and she's shoveling what used to be one or two little pieces. Now she's going, you know when you get really into a movie, and then you start going handfuls at a time? Wait, so you guys are going back and forth talking for 15 minutes, and she's not interjecting? Sometimes she'll go, that's interesting. Really? She doesn't go, hold on, Klein, let me stop you for a minute.
Starting point is 00:05:34 Yeah, yeah, yeah, sometimes. Yeah, she will sometimes. Because Danielle was saying something very interesting here. Right, and I'll be like, she wasn't. Spoiler. She wasn't. Go back to your popcorn. So but my question is, is that if you were at like a doctor, you can't snack or eat during your sessions.
Starting point is 00:05:48 There are I think there's a very small handful of people that my wife has seen for so long that they're that they're so casual that maybe that's happened with. But it's not a situation where she would ever because she races downstairs to get something to snack to snack on in between clients. She does not snack during the session. It's less about the fact she's snacking. It's more about the fact what her snack is. No, because if she was eating a few nuts, I would think, all right, that's a classy snack. That's a doctor's snack. She's trying to fuel her brain to think wisely.
Starting point is 00:06:21 But when she's eating handfuls of microwave popcorn, now I'm questioning a lot of things. So you're just judging her snack? That's a good snack. It's a bad snack. It doesn't feel like it's a doctor's snack. And it also feels like popcorn is the official snack of watching. You're engaged in what you're watching You're a spectator when you're eating popcorn
Starting point is 00:06:40 You're not engaged She's spectate I thought you were going to go based on the loudness Of the snack Because if you're eating something that's Mushy or whatever Chewy Yeah but if you're eating like chips
Starting point is 00:06:55 Or something with a bag that's crinkling and distracting you She toggles the mute I don't hear her chew It's not about the chewing factor That doesn't bother me it's that I'm looking on the screen and I'm seeing what appears like, it would be like if a character
Starting point is 00:07:10 in a TV show could look back at what we're doing while we're watching their show. We're just sitting on the couch scratching ourselves eating. She should do what those security villains do in movies where they basically just make it look like a loop of normal, you know, like she's thinking. It's like a loop of her thinking face
Starting point is 00:07:27 but she's really just eating. A therapist just sits there doing this the whole time. If they're doing no, no, no. And you go, I don't know what they're writing but it's probably important and who knows? They could be doodling. They could be making shopping lists. But once it's elevated now to snack, I'm telling you right now. Do you like
Starting point is 00:07:41 her though? Other than the snacking? I like her because she definitely knows I'm right. Oh. She definitely has my side. She definitely is keeping score and I'm up a lot. I don't know what the total score is now. I should ask her. So you think her notebook just has a tally? I think so. Like a
Starting point is 00:07:57 football game? Yeah. Yeah. I want to get some updates. She's just going to hold up a score card. Yeah. That's right. That's what I assume at the end. It's going to be like, all right, we've met for three years, and the final score is Klein wins 7,000 to zero. That's what I want. Maybe you should ask her.
Starting point is 00:08:13 What's the current score? No, ask her about the popcorn. Is she pregnant? Maybe she's pregnant. I don't know. I feel like that's a rude question to ask. Are you pregnant? Well, why are you eating?
Starting point is 00:08:24 Be like, are you pregnant? Do you need to eat? I figured I would ask you, Allie, if that's even considered acceptable. I don't think it's acceptable, no. unless you're super, super familiar with the person. But on the flip side... You can make a comment like, oh, you're making me jealous.
Starting point is 00:08:39 I'm so hungry right now. Would it be acceptable if I was snacking during that? Yeah. You can do whatever the hell you want. You're the one paying. It's your time. She's the professional. She's supposed to be listening to you
Starting point is 00:08:50 and giving you her undivided attention. I'm bringing your honey back in. I'm just wondering if this elevates to a gateway. Like, it just starts to see... All right, they didn't say anything about the handful of nods. Now we've elevated to popcorn. And she's sizzling a steak.
Starting point is 00:09:01 How far is this going to go? She's making kebabs or something like that? No, she's just in the background. Ah-ha, beep, beep, boop, boop, beep. Air fryer. She's doing all the stuff. I mean, a certain level of you as a man has to respect it. That's the thing.
Starting point is 00:09:17 And I don't want to lose. I feel like I've done such a good job of getting her on my side that I don't want to say anything to sabotage. No, you have to out-snack her. It's the only way. And maybe I'll bring popcorn, too. No, no, no, you've got to one-up her. Just a massive...
Starting point is 00:09:33 Big bowl of Chex Mix. Just keep going more and more. Just eating wings, and then you'll just keep out-snacking each other. Pretty soon we're just paying for mukbang videos back and forth. It's like that woman who sucks on the crawfish. Are we doing any therapy here at all? I don't know, but we're putting on weight. A lot of people on the phone already that would like to share with us their four accomplishments.
Starting point is 00:09:52 We will get you into the next four shows happening at the In-N-Out Burger Soundspace at KROQ. What is it you've done at least four times that you're proud of? And or not, by the way, these could be four accomplishments of shame. We don't care what they are. You've done them four times. You have four of them. Whatever they may be, call now. We'll talk to you next and give away four tickets.
Starting point is 00:10:08 Excuse me, two tickets to the next four shows at KROQ, which eight tickets total. And those will be yours after this. All right. Anyone can do anything one time. It's not that impressive. Two times? Okay. Three times?
Starting point is 00:10:19 Maybe. But four times? Three times a lady. That's a four accomplishment. The world you've created. We'd love to hear what things you've done in your life that you consider to be a fore-accomplishment. Because that's when you've got something called a pattern.
Starting point is 00:10:34 Pattern. That's called chronic. It's a condition at that point. So we've got up for grabs right now, tickets for you to enter the next four private shows, the In-N-Out Burger Sound Space here at KROQ that will include Dexter and the Moon Rocks, September 22nd, Fontaine's DC, September 28th,
Starting point is 00:10:52 The Beaches, October 19th. We're going to start charging you rent and the Paradox on October 23rd. So you can win these tickets every hour. Sometimes all you have to do is listen and call. In this particular case, since you're going to have a four accomplishment in your future, what is the four accomplishment you've had before we've met? And we say good morning now to Susie to kick things off. Susie, what has been your four accomplishment in life?
Starting point is 00:11:17 Good morning, Sweet Divots. Sweet Divots. I got arrested four times in one month when I was 18. that is a four accomplishment was it all for the same thing yes no it was for completely different things and like three different counties well if only I've been in four different counties you would have already won this thing we could end it what were the four things you were arrested for in one month she's all really I got arrested um me and my boyfriend took out his dad's boat and his dad thought it got stolen so he reported it so we
Starting point is 00:11:49 arrested by the coast guard cool then i then i got arrested because i was smoking joint on a um on a bus bench but i also had a warrant so i went in for like the whole weekend that time and then the third time i got arrested because me and my friend climbed the front to jump um into like the bahi school like football area because we were gonna smoke on the field and we got arrested by the school police and then the fourth time um me and my friend were going to go to the movies and she stopped let me guess she stole stuff from the store oh she stole stuff in the store okay you were with her she stole stuff in the store but they thought i did too so they arrested me at the same time i mean i would probably assume you did too at this point yeah i'd say
Starting point is 00:12:35 hey it's the girl from the bench in the football field last week good to see you again you know That's a poor accomplishment, all right. Four times in a month. Arrested four times in a month for all kind of, you know, really misdemeanor-y stuff, but still. Especially because back then, we were all just finding a place to smoke weed. That's all you were trying to do. Now you can smoke wherever you want, but, you know, you used to have to get arrested. Kids these days don't understand the struggle of trying to climb into the football field so you can smoke on the 50-yard line.
Starting point is 00:13:01 The days are confused. All right, we say hi now to, let's see here. Wow, these are interesting. Valor will come to you next. Let me send it to Natalie. 800-520-1067. What is your four accomplishment in life? Something you've done four times, good or bad.
Starting point is 00:13:18 We will decide if it's a four accomplishment or not. Hi, what's up, Natalie? Hey, what's up? What is your four accomplishment? Today was the fourth time I've, well, I guess the fourth day I actually put my foot down and I left my boyfriend and kept coming back. Wait, this is the fourth time you've left your boyfriend? Well, I mean, like, I kept coming back, but today was the day, like, I put my foot down.
Starting point is 00:13:44 So, you sound like this is fresh, fresh wound right now. You're crying as we speak, huh? Yeah, I was crying. It's probably the most depressing one. Aww. Today's the day. Why are you breaking up with him? Why does he suck?
Starting point is 00:14:00 It's just a lot. Yeah. So, let me get this straight. You broke up the first time. Usually the first breakups rarely take. So that's a pretty standard go back to, you know, I would say usually a second or third of the ones that hold. In this particular case, you guys have kids together.
Starting point is 00:14:16 You live together. Is it that sort of serious? Yeah, of course. All that stuff. Yeah, of course. I pay rent. I have kids. Right.
Starting point is 00:14:22 I keep coming back. I get called to step off. It sounds like, though, this is the right thing to do. And we hope that there's not a fifth time. No, I hope not. That's what I'm telling myself today. Well, that's the good thing about the radio. It's a verbal contract.
Starting point is 00:14:43 You're saying it now, so it is done. That's not true. This is not a verbal contract. Sign on this line. Signy sign. Done. Signy sign. That makes you feel better.
Starting point is 00:14:54 I feel so bad now, and I would look like a total ass if we went to more callers, because really we should just say take the goddamn tickets and get on with your life. But, you know, fair is fair. But this person on the text line had a 4x4, it didn't out. Oh, they did? Yeah. Oh, sorry, Natalie. Nice meeting you.
Starting point is 00:15:11 Good luck. It's all good. Now, hold on. I'm just kidding. Hold on. Hold on. Don't go anywhere. And congratulations on doing what probably is the right decision.
Starting point is 00:15:18 I don't know. Maybe she was the problem. I don't know what he, you know, let's not just go ahead and assume that's the issue. Well, if she's broken up one, two, three times and he drags her back. Did you break up every time or did he ever do any of the breaking up? no i just want to see him because he's a piece of like he you know there's no cheating at all it's just he's very insecure i go to work every day i'm still the problem what she said i go to work every day and i'm still the problem oh god are you already ignoring her
Starting point is 00:15:52 no i could i couldn't i'm trying to translate sometimes i need another woman to translate woman crying. I couldn't understand. It's hard to see a woman crying. Allie got it. I bet you Vanessa knows it. This is our first language at home. All I heard was like, but I feel bad, obviously. It sounds like a bad situation.
Starting point is 00:16:11 Trust me when I say you're strong enough to get through it. Thank you. Thank you. I appreciate it. So this is happening later today or you've already done it? No, I already did it. I already did it.
Starting point is 00:16:24 Before we definitely say let's just give her the tickets, let me hear what Marco has to say. Marco, good luck following that. What's your four accomplishment? Dude, I don't even know if I can follow it, but good morning. Sweet divots. Sweet divots. What's up? So I play fantasy football.
Starting point is 00:16:39 I play in four leagues. In one year, I made it to the championship in all four leagues. Let's get this man the tickets. Ali, come on. Come on. He's going to start crying. We got a winner here, huh, Marco? You know how hard it is to make it to the championship in four different fantasy football leagues?
Starting point is 00:16:52 I mean, that is a four accomplishment. It sure is. It's pretty incredible. Are these all expensive leagues or are these cheapo leagues like the ones I play in? No, one of them has like 14 people, 14 managers, about $200 to enter. The other three are a little cheaper, about $60. Now, I can start crying because I lost all four leagues. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:17:15 I didn't win one. That's kind of funny. You go to the four years. You go to the championships and you lost all of them. You get to the final game and all four are loose. Still lost all your money. It's one of those win-slash-lose situations. You probably at least got what you put into it.
Starting point is 00:17:26 Usually, second place gets at least a little something. Hold on, Marco. That's a very sad story. Let's all take a moment thinking about what Marco's going through right now. Yeah, that's rough. Jose on K-Run. Good morning. Welcome to Four Accomplishments.
Starting point is 00:17:38 Chat, what's up? Hey, good morning. It's Sweet Divots. When I was in college, I used to drive a 1991 Camry, and it got stolen from in front of my house four different times. Wow, car stolen four times. You're halfway there, Klein. Stolen four times. That's right.
Starting point is 00:17:52 Well, this car's been stolen twice, but once we never got back. So technically, it's only the current one's only been stolen once. You had the same car stolen and recovered four times? Yeah, it was like one of those old cars that had the automatic seatbelts where any key would unlock the car and any key would turn it on. People would take it for joy rides. And then they'd bring it back? Any key would turn your car on?
Starting point is 00:18:16 Any key would turn it on. And no, they would just like find it in a mall parking lot or something. Were you disappointed every time they found it because you were hoping maybe you'd get that insurance money and get a different car? Oh, man, that car was probably worth like $500. What a horrible system. Any key? Yeah, they didn't really think that through, huh? Valerie, we give you the final word here.
Starting point is 00:18:37 Oh, hold on, James. We'll go to James next. Go ahead, Valerie, and then we have to make a decision. You got it. A flex and a fail. Well, I just received my fourth parking ticket for street sweeping, which is $76 because the sign says it is after the third Tuesday of every month. And I'm an idiot, and I cannot compute that in my head. Yeah, no one can figure that out.
Starting point is 00:18:58 They go to a special Yoda person to make those signs, and they go, how can we make this the most confusing? Every second, fourth Wednesday. I don't even know what that is. What is that even saying? I'll just leave it here. Because I can do four gravity bongs in a row and not pass out, willing to do it at any party, and I am 50 years old. I'd like to see you do that tomorrow at our Fiesta Siesta. Seems like it'd be a siesta after the fourth rip.
Starting point is 00:19:24 James, we truly do give you the final word here as we wrap up our conversation about four accomplishments before we give away tickets to the next four shows of K-Rock. Three divots, guys. What's up? Um, so I, I don't have four fingers on my left hand. Uh, just another, uh, handicapped listener. Wait, so you just got one finger? I got a thumb. I got a thumb.
Starting point is 00:19:50 I'm, I'm thumbs up. I'm all thumbs. You're, you're just, wait. James V, meet Vanessa. Yeah. She is in for a ride. No, I just said, well, like, just imagine that. That's wild.
Starting point is 00:20:01 Wow. I've always knew you were out there. Let me get this straight. You have a hand and you have a thumb, and there are no fingers. Correct. I have a palm and a thumb. I used to be left-handed before my accident, and then I had to learn how to be right-handed, and I played guitar,
Starting point is 00:20:21 so now I use a thumb pick. It's wild. What was the accident you speak of? So there's many stories. There's much more, but I tell many. but it was actually a car accident. Well, what's the best story you usually tell? Shark or something?
Starting point is 00:20:39 Yeah, it's usually like around 4th of July, I go, you know, like, well, you know, be careful around the fireworks. Thumbs up for safety. Ah, and Vanessa, he's got a sense of humor. Oh, my God, I was just thinking that was wild. That's it. Vanessa was just saying today that she had a premonition
Starting point is 00:20:55 she was going to meet a no-finger, one-thumb man. Who can thumb pick on a guitar like nobody's business. Do you have a guitar nearby? Ty, we can hear you sound playing the guitar with your one thumb. No, I don't. We don't believe it. I do have one in the car, though. No, we can wait.
Starting point is 00:21:14 How long would it take you to get to your car? Probably like 10 minutes. Oh, we can't wait that long. Oh, man, jeez. You couldn't park closer than that? You probably have handicapped parking. Hold on one second. That's a terrible parking situation.
Starting point is 00:21:28 Why is your car so far away? You have one thumb. All right, James, hang tight. That's one-thumb James right there. I think hang tight is kind of rude to say. Sorry. Hang loose. Allie, we've heard a lot of stories.
Starting point is 00:21:38 These are all people that have had four accomplishments. Got a guy who's missing four fingers. Which is incredible that he has relearned to play the guitar with a thumbtack. Incredible story. And I'd love to meet this man. I'd love him to join forces with One-Armed Gary and Blind Charlie. And One-Legged Louis. One-Legged Louis.
Starting point is 00:21:57 but I do we've been accused of being heartless on the show and I think it's worthy of us to prove to our audience that we actually do have a heart when it matters and to Marco who lost his fantasy football championships
Starting point is 00:22:11 I think we have to give him the tickets for sure that's the saddest thing we've heard by far four different teams he didn't win that's a lot of money down the drain It made me almost cry.
Starting point is 00:22:27 It's a lot of time invested. Think of how many trades, the waiver wire. Call that crying lady and give her the tickets. Oh, come on. For the... Also call James and go on a date with him. Yeah, and call James. This is James right now.
Starting point is 00:22:41 He's very good. Listen to him. Man. He finally got his guitar. James, you are good. Not damn. Look at that thumb picking. James, impressive stuff right here, man.
Starting point is 00:22:53 I'm really proud to hear this. K-Rock Line Alley Show. Well, that was an emotional rollercoaster like it always is. Hey, Natalie? Yes? You're getting a lot of support on the text line, so I just want you to know that other people that are feeling your pain are saying you got this and, you know, wishing you all the best.
Starting point is 00:23:14 So you got four tickets. So you got two tickets to the next four shows here at K-Rock, all right? That's awesome. You're going to make me cry again. And hopefully you don't bring this. this guy. Someone did text us in and say they're the guy you've broken up. He doesn't listen to the show, does he?
Starting point is 00:23:32 Oh, he doesn't really listen to Rock so no. So maybe you can bring some friends or bring some support or bring a new date or something and we'll see you at the next four shows here at K-Rock. Oh yeah, thank you so much. You beat a guy with
Starting point is 00:23:47 no fingers and you beat a guy who lost four fantasy football championships. Sweet divots. Yeah, sweet divots to you. Don't forget that woman who was arrested four times, too. Yeah, I mean, you beat some great, great... I've been arrested, too. Cool. But not for that.
Starting point is 00:24:01 Not for that. I believe that. All right. Just for hate crimes. Hold on, Natalie. Yeah. I'm on supremacists. You should probably stop talking at this point.
Starting point is 00:24:13 We had a feel-good moment. This is going well. Let's just cut our losses. Let it linger for just a second. We have ADD news to get to in a moment, another hour of the show. Reminder, tomorrow is the day that we will be joining forces, hopefully with you.
Starting point is 00:24:36 So all those details are up on our Instagram now, Klein Alley Show. And we will see you in about 24 hours if you want to come hang out. All right, that's it for us for now. We'll be back in a moment with your news and then some more show after this. Hey, Rod. We are Clown Alley Show. It's fun. It's going on in the world together with a look at the ADD news.
Starting point is 00:24:54 And then a brand new hour of the show will officially begin. As always, we are here for you at 800-520-1067. Or that goal line is there for you. And we're not 844-956-GOAT. All right. And we guys don't really do birthdays on this show, birthday celebrations. But my dad's birthday is September 15th. Did you say her dad's birthday or her dog's birthday?
Starting point is 00:25:16 Maybe both. I don't think either of them will get a shout-out on this show. Happy birthday wheelchair. Omar Tuna. Dog dad. There you go. Happy birthday wheelchair. And I was wondering if you guys would give him a birthday shout-out.
Starting point is 00:25:28 I think he'd really like it. We're both huge fans of the show. His name is Rico. Rico. God. I'm just wondering if you could give him a shout-out. He's turning... It's his birthday.
Starting point is 00:25:38 Okay. All right. No, so it's dog, because no one knows how old their dog is. Dad, you would have an idea, right? You would think? But then Rico is such a dog name, too. but also could be an older dad name. Here's your shout-out.
Starting point is 00:25:52 There you go. That's as close as we have. Let's get into your news now, then a brand new hour of the show will officially begin. Grab your Adderall. It's time for ADD News. So the Emmy Awards was another night
Starting point is 00:26:05 of seeing actors win awards, and then when they start speaking, you realize they're all British. Jean Hacks, I'm sorry, Jean Smart of Hacks, made history. She has now won an Emmy for every season of her show. And previously, the only actor to sweep the Emmys across every season of their show was Bill Cosby. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:26:25 Good guy like Cosby. He won for all three seasons of I Spy between 1966 and 1968, back when everyone still loved Bill Cosby. I think those were the years when a lot of those allegations were happening, too, right? So congrats to her. Best Drama was The Pit, and Noah Weil won Best Actor for that as well. There were also a lot of Best Supporting nominations for that show, too. Pretty much anybody who had a guest star in that show was nominated. And then Best Comedy was Widow's Bay.
Starting point is 00:26:57 They got 14 wins overall, which was a lot for that show. And that was a show that I watched and really loved, but then I was kind of surprised it won so many awards. And again, didn't realize pretty much everybody in that show is British. All the awards should go to people like you're talking about. Because in my mind, it's always blown when someone that I watch on a show is like, yeah, man, it's over there, dude. And then you see them in an interview and they're like, well, that's enough of a fact. Thank you so much. And I'm like, what is going on?
Starting point is 00:27:23 Because that part, I'm like, damn, they must be good at acting because I had no idea. Right. And then I realized some and then some people are Irish and then Scottish. And I'm like, what's going on here? I don't think just regular old American actors are being hired anymore just because of the shock factor. Then I think maybe these guys are all American, and they're putting on the accent in their real life. See what I'm saying? Right.
Starting point is 00:27:44 I mean, if you are just a boring American actor, how do you make yourself cut through, pretend to be British? Yeah, and then someone's like, oh, they found him in some theater district in London, and they're like, oh, wow, classy. Put him in the show, and then the guy's got to fake a British accent his whole life. I think when you are British and you can do an American accent, everyone automatically assumes you're a fantastic actor. Right. And I imagine it's got to be pretty easy, because a lot of them can do it. Yeah. For the most part, I'm not saying acting is easy, but I mean, you see people do it.
Starting point is 00:28:10 I don't know what makes someone better. Yeah, I'm good at it. Jake is the worst. Jake is the worst. That I know. I know bad acting, and Jake's acting is truly atrocious, which is why we had to cut him out of every video we've ever shot for the show. You don't want me to show you up.
Starting point is 00:28:22 Here's just a little piece of Jean Smart winning lead actress in a comedy series yet again. She spent half the speech just telling the women in the audience to sit down. Okay, just the men stay standing. The girls get to sit down. I'm serious. No, I'm serious. Every time this happens, I think of the girls are going, oh, I just got comfortable. Why did you?
Starting point is 00:28:42 Oh, my God. You got your Spanx and your corset and your tape and your shoes that are cutting your toes off. You're going, oh, my God. She's not that good. So, I mean, that's probably what everyone is thinking. Who is that lady? She sounds super annoying. I think she called herself annoying in the awards.
Starting point is 00:29:00 She's self-aware. Well, when you win that many awards, I think you just run out of things to talk about. You've already thanked everybody. I think eventually when she went into thanking, she just thanked her agents and the creators and was like, see ya, it's been fun. A couple of big shows and festival announcements happened yesterday. Oasis' new tour, the new stagecoach lineup, and the new show at the Sphere. So the stagecoach lineup includes, not Post Malone, so we're already winning.
Starting point is 00:29:28 Kelly Clarkson, which is strange. Garth Brooks, which I'm actually excited about, even though I'm probably not going to go. Willie Nelson, Melissa Etheridge, also excited about that. Matchbox 20, random. Pitbull, Shibuzi. What? Mr. Worldwide is going to be a stagecoach. Does he do country stuff?
Starting point is 00:29:50 He will. But that's the thing now. It doesn't matter. You've also got Journey and then Shibuzi, who's country, and The Fray. But they kind of just mix it all up again. All that stuff that you said for the exception of Pitbull, I am out. You mean you don't like this?
Starting point is 00:30:04 All these times that I would be down in the 90s and whatever this BSQ was. Yeah, 90s country. No, I got friends in a long place. Where the whiskey
Starting point is 00:30:18 bears my blues. And I'll be okay. Everyone will probably have guns there, so that'll be easy. Perfect. That is when country, I had a two-week country phase, and it was during that time period when country wasn't really serious. It was just, hey, let's all drink whiskey and have fun.
Starting point is 00:30:43 Even the older country is even better. Yeah. 60s and 70s. Yeah, when it was really problematic. That weird saloon on our walk has stayed with you, though, because whenever you drink still, Allie gets this weird drunk girl mosey that I've seen. All of a sudden, it gets real strange.
Starting point is 00:30:58 Yeah, exactly. And then finally, you have Oprah at the Sphere. Oh, so with Oasis, they announced this 2027 tour. A lot of it's international, but they will have three shows in Boston and three shows in Vegas. So if you missed Oasis the first time around, that's how you can see them again. And then you have Oprah at the Sphere. What will she do at the Sphere? How dare you, Ali?
Starting point is 00:31:17 She's been struggling with her weight her entire life. And you called Oprah a sphere? God, you are so self-hating. Hey, you know what? She fluctuates like all of us. She sure does. I'm a sphere right now, too. We have an exclusive announcement from the one and only Oprah Winfrey.
Starting point is 00:31:32 She's unveiling her first ever immersive journey at the Las Vegas Sphere, what she calls a symphony of the senses. It's called AHA. Oh, my God. We should have a contest on the show where the winner gets to go see Oasis in Vegas and the loser has to go see Oprah in Vegas. At the Sphere. And it kicks off the first weekend of April with guided meditations.
Starting point is 00:31:53 Oh, man. Jesus. Listen, the people at the Sphere usually know what they're doing. Not this time around. Totally agree. They have had some, everything has been a home run at the Sphere. Yes. And this is a weird moment where we're at a turning point.
Starting point is 00:32:07 And Oprah goes, I want to do the Sphere, and I'm going to call it what? Uh-huh? Jesus, Bob. Okay, what will happen at it, Oprah? You know what? We'll figure that out later. We will listen. Oh, man, I got breaking news.
Starting point is 00:32:19 Another artist got added to Stagecoach. You guys want to hear it? Yep. Here we go. This is actually Garth Brooks. I feel you, but let's have a drug test. Yee-haw! Let's have a drug test.
Starting point is 00:32:33 Shoot this person, please. Get the shotgun out. We'll get into a brand new hour of the show in moments. We'll forget about everything we just heard. And we will start giving you things. If you want access to not one, not two, not three, but four shows, all coming up at the KROQ In-N-Out Burger Sound Space, well, I hope you listen to the show today.
Starting point is 00:32:51 One of the greatest prizes we've ever given, and that'll be happening later this morning. Get into a brand new hour of the show next. K-Rock.
