We'll get into an episode of Klein Alley's show in just a moment.
But in the meantime, let's tell you about our absolute favorite place on the planet.
Yep, that would be San Bernardino International Airport,
where you can go through the airport process without waiting in long lines and overpaying for parking.
Quick connections to the Bay Area and the world plus ski and snowboard in Provo from San Bernardino all winter long.
Every other airport, you're going to be in long TSA lines.
You're going to be miserable.
You're going to say, oh, I got to get there two, three hours before my flight, not at San Bernardino International Airport.
And now we send you on a direct flight into our podcast, which starts right now.
This is the world famous.
Just after 10 o'clock.
Good morning.
Klineally show live on KROC.
You need us, phone.
Text line 800, 5201060-1067.
Final submissions coming through as we wrap up mash tags.
Make K. Rock hot.
There's nothing we can do about it.
So might as well just embrace it.
Another day or two of this.
And then things will cool off.
I think it's supposed to rain maybe next weekend or next week?
I think on Sunday, Monday, yeah.
Sweet.
9-09, all-American H-VACs.
626, Papa Roast.
909 nerve sauna, 818, puddle of mud butt.
Oh.
I like that one.
It's a real medical condition.
Flame and Paula.
And another show-related one, sweat dibbitts.
Ah, sweat dibbits to you and yours.
Sweat dibbits.
We're in this incredibly hot, hot temperature heat.
Thank you for all the hundreds, if not thousands of submissions.
We have to pick our favor now, which will not be easy.
There's popcorn.
I like that one as well.
Some good ones that have made their way through.
and we will announce the winner, winner,
after this one from
Let's do Temper City on K Rock.
It's hard to go through all of these.
Thanks for being a part of our match tags.
I wish we could give all of the prizes
to the 323 who just sent us Klein Smelly Show.
That's funny, but that's not the winner.
The winner came from Instagram,
and it was from someone who submitted B Oasis.
B. Oasis.
Oh, good one.
Make K. Rock hot.
No one loves the smell of B.O.,
but we do love Oasis, and B.O.A.S.
Simple.
Only had to add a letter.
gave us a whole new K-Rock hot band.
So thank you for that, and thank you for participating.
We appreciate you being a part of MASHTex.
I can't believe it, Daly, but we're going to bring Johnny back in here in moments for a round of Johnny.
Oh, are we?
Back more Johnny, huh?
I like to play the game.
You can call us now for that.
That's coming up.
We do have a few issues we've got to deal with, though.
Listen, as you know, putting on the show every day, it's fun sometimes, and sometimes it's very annoying.
Right?
Would you agree?
Okay.
Where's this going?
I'm just saying, would you agree that the percentage of fun to annoying is what, 50-50?
No, 70-20.
70% fun or 70%?
70% fun, 20%?
That's only 90%?
Oh, okay, 70-30?
Oh, man.
Now, this is fun.
Now, now we're having fun.
I like this.
My favorite part.
I would have thought that Vanessa would have thought it was 70% annoying from her side of things, wouldn't you?
Yeah, because most of the time I think Vanessa is annoyed with us.
us and stressed.
And stressed.
But that's just like a me thing.
So you think you're...
Exactly.
We're talking about you.
You think you're always annoyed?
I just get overwhelmed me silly.
It's not you.
It's me.
Right.
Yeah, but are you enjoying any of this?
Yeah, 70%.
70%, she said.
Yeah, but I don't know.
I think there's some people who seem like they're enjoying life, but it seems like they're
actually getting through it.
I think Johnny's enjoying the show 100% all the time because he should be enjoying it less.
I wish he was 30% stressed about working.
I wish he would get stress or anxious at all.
Yeah.
There's always reason to enjoy it every day.
Jake, see, that's goddamn positivity.
Jake, what are you, 50-50?
Yeah, probably about that, sure.
He cares.
Very positive answer there.
50-50 on answering this question.
Curious about you, Omar.
What's your percentage?
That's a good one.
I'm curious as well.
I have a prediction, but what is it?
Fun versus...
I don't want to be here.
Yeah, yeah, that's right. That's right. Fun. Yeah, fun versus I don't want to be here.
Is there a percentage of I don't want to be here that you'd like to add?
Hold on with that fact without and now.
Vanessa is going to add that in?
I'm going to say 80%, 82. Now, yeah, yeah, 80, 20.
80.
Yeah.
That's kind of what I had it at.
80% fun? 80% I like the stuff that happens around here. 20% it's the annoying meetings. It's the BS.
It's the, you know.
Not getting compensated for it.
Right, all that stuff.
Yes, all that stuff.
That's the 20%.
That's 19.
That's the 20%.
That's most of the 20%.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Alio, how do you have it out?
God, I haven't really thought about it.
I guess I would go similar.
I would probably go 75% fun, 25% annoying.
A lot of people have a moment where whatever it is they're doing for a job.
They have that decision to make.
They go, do I want to even, do I like this job?
Do I want to keep going in?
Do I want to do something else altogether?
I think if you're over 50%, you're winning.
So that's, it's so funny.
I thought that sounds seem low.
But that is the, they, they're,
say if over 50, even 51% is in the positive column, then that is enough of a reason to stick it out.
And the big problem now, especially with like younger people that are entering the workforce,
is that they are under the impression that they are supposed to be having.
Oh, fun all the time.
99.9% fun.
And whenever anything feels at all like a job or like work or like, I don't want to do that,
or what do you mean we have to help out on a, you know, after hours or whatever.
They're like, forget that.
I'm out.
Well, there are, I think younger employees also, if there are certain part of their job that they don't like, they just say, I don't want to do that part.
Right.
And they're like, but that's part of the job.
Yeah, it's like, but I don't like that.
It's like, well, yeah, there's parts of every job that you don't necessarily like.
Now, I think that the numbers probably shifted over the years to like, you know, because I think back in the day, back in the day, probably a lot of people hated 95% of their job.
But there was a job.
So it's, I got to get paid.
I got to buy food and stuff.
I think most, like all of my parents, of which I have many, regular and step, all just worked to work.
There was no passion.
No joy, no passion.
No, this fulfills my life purpose.
I think my dad was mildly interested in computers, and that's why he went into computer programming.
Right.
But that's a real boring.
I mean, it's a bore fest of a job, I'm sure.
Right.
But it's made a lot of people very rich.
So think about it for a second.
Take stock.
Are you over 51%?
Maybe like the people.
No, this is going to be perfect.
But if you're over 51%, I'm,
I guess you're doing the right thing.
You know, it's funny because I think there are some people that no job would make them feel that way.
Like my wife.
She told me actually yesterday, it's funny, we're talking about this, that she doesn't get enjoyment out of work at all.
She gets no fulfillment, no satisfaction.
Isn't what you do slightly rewarding?
She said, not really.
She's a therapist.
I know, I'm like, don't you help people?
And she's like, yeah, but I don't think a lot of people want to be helped.
Yeah, but if is what she said?
And I was like, didn't you go to undergrad and grad school for this?
and you have hundreds of thousands of dollars
of student loan debt because I thought
this is what you were passionate about? And she was like, no,
I just had to go through school to get this job.
And I'm like, but you don't even want this job.
A lot of people, I think, start doing the thing they thought
they wanted to do, only to realize, you know what?
Yeah, they're saying, yeah, Jake's smelling armpits now.
Is that part of the 50 or the 50 that you hate or love?
You know what? We do my answer.
9010.
98.
98 now.
Yeah, like, you know they used to say, at least you're not digging ditches.
You can now use this as your expression.
At least you're not sniffing pits.
Exactly.
Because Jake is technically doing the job he wanted to do.
It's the modern day ditch digging.
And he's sniffing pits during heat waves.
So think about that for a second.
And we asked him to do that.
And he had to say yes.
When we get back, it's the fun 20% we promise after this quick break.
800520-1067.
You can call, you can play.
All you got to do is predict.
Well, Johnny know the answer to one question.
And remember, you're listening for your free tank of gas that will be happening at some point this hour on K-Rock.
Kron-Kline show.
Take a break from your Amazon Prime Shopping.
so you can play some Johnny Doesn't Know with us.
One question, one question only.
It's a lightning round edition.
Up for grabs.
Something that we'll probably send you to go hang out with Johnny this Thursday.
It'll be at a concert happening at Marongo with...
BF Thursday?
Dirty Heads on a BF Thursday.
Breakfast for dinner and dirty heads.
It's time for Johnny doesn't know.
Johnny doesn't know.
And I was like, okay.
Oh, Johnny doesn't know.
I didn't know Vegas was in Vada for like a while.
Johnny doesn't know.
Jolato sounds like Jello.
Johnny doesn't know.
It goes, wiggle, wiggles.
I get it.
You like the guitar.
We don't know who said that, but they're convinced you like the guitar.
Johnny, welcome to the studio again.
Did you listen to any of those criticisms you heard earlier to decide to change your work ethic at all?
I actually went back to go play more guitar, actually.
Well, great.
I love it.
Glad that we made it through.
Let's add to Ricky.
Ricky would like to be the contestant today.
John doesn't know.
One question, one question only.
You don't need to know the answer.
Just need to know Johnny knows it.
Johnny is wearing no sleeves today.
Got the tank top out.
Are you leaving work early today?
Johnny, my boy.
What's good, man?
What's good.
You leave in work early today, Johnny?
I don't think I have to.
I have somewhere to be at 1230, but I don't think I have to leave early today.
No.
We're usually done by then.
Very good with the timing on our meetings.
Let's get to the question now.
Ricky, the question we have for Johnny today is, can Johnny explain why we see rainbows?
Yes or no?
Yes, lock it in
All right, locked it on yes
Johnny
Why do we see rainbows?
So
I know you see them
Because you're a queer
But I mean the rest of us
I don't want to laugh at that
Because that's a little too
Like on the line dog
I don't know about that joke
That's not a straight line
It's okay
Allie laughs
She's gay
So it's cool
I thought that was hilarious
I've been grandfathered
I've been grandfathered into that joke
I worked with Ali long enough
The ones that naturally occur in nature
out of those happen.
You know it's a rainbow.
We're talking about the naturally occurring ones.
Go ahead.
Okay.
So you see rainbows after precipitation, which is when it rains.
So you're basically just seeing the sunlight shine through,
I don't want to see the water, but like the rain clouds and the precipitation in the sky.
And that's what creates the illusion.
It's the sun beaming through the water, and that's what creates the rainbow effect.
Why do you see so many different colors?
I don't really know, but I know like when my uncle
Oh no, Johnny, come on.
Wait, wait, wait.
That's good.
There you go.
See, this guy's seasoned, man.
This guy knows what's up, man.
Back to your uncle.
When my uncle used to turn on the sprinklers,
you would see the rainbow in it,
and it was just a reflection from the water,
from the sunlight and the sun's powerful rays just like hitting it,
and it would create these rainbow colors.
Almost there.
Almost there?
Wow.
That's not good enough.
That's what would be the answer, bro.
That is pretty much the answer.
I mean, it's pretty much the answer.
Johnny, I will, just because I like this guy, Ricky, who's playing, I'm going to say, you're right.
Ricky, hold on, enjoy yourself a prize.
Thanks for playing.
Some Johnny doesn't know with us.
Yeah, Johnny, the reality is it's actually millions, millions of little water molecules.
Particles of water.
If you want to get to the nitty, gritty, sure.
But, like, what I said was pretty much on par with what the answer was.
Your uncle's sprinkler.
That pretty much summed it up.
Absolutely.
As opposed to anyone else's sprinkler.
Right.
Nope.
Just Johnny's uncle.
Once again, back to Johnny's uncle.
All of the things we.
confirmed him about, he brought up
in this last little segment. At my uncle's carna
Asana, his sprinklers had a rainbow.
I'll bring this sprinkler in as you guys can see it. It never shows
up. All right, Johnny, congratulations.
You made it through. Worth it just to
make Ali laugh that hard. All right, we'll get
into some chili peppers now.
And if you're riding around and you've got that
flashing E light hitting you from your gas tank, do not fill up
until you hear what we have in store for
you next on Kro Q.
Sombre is going to be at the forum on
Friday, I think. So you can go there to
show and if you got a parking spot
make sure you save it for Allie because
she'll be heading there back to the forum
back to the scene of the crime you know I
will yeah I'll be there on Saturday night I believe
because he's playing multiple nights and I can't
wait to pitch the Hollywood casino
free parking
to my wife and
the mile and a half walk and see how she responds
to that. No you're the one who's pregnant
I mean if you could do it feels like
you're the one who gets to kind of call the shots on how
far you park and how far you walk right
yeah but if I call the shots there's no end to
I might as well walk from my house.
Walk right here from the station.
Lindsay, why are you calling right now?
Good morning.
Good morning.
I love the show.
I'm also just calling to try to get some free gas.
Hey, congratulations.
You called at the right time.
I got gas.
Your next tank's on us.
It's our way of saying,
tanks for listening,
which people seem to really hate when we say it,
but it doesn't matter for you
because we will fill you up to the brim,
even that extra drippage that spills out the top.
Hold on, all right?
Awesome.
Thank you guys so much.
Love the show.
Thank you for listening.
And tanks a guest every day this week, our way of saying tanks for listening to the show.
All right, takeaways.
Or should we call them tankaways?
Tankaways makes so little sense, but we should call them that.
That's what we're going to do.
All right, 805, my takeaway is, have a good Wednesday, Mila.
Hey, Mila.
It's Wednesday.
We don't have to do birthday shout-outs around these parts, but happy Wednesday.
213, umbrellas and sunglasses are a great disguise.
213, the regies coming soon to Amazon Prime.
decided which streamer we're going to do the regis on, but to all of the networks, if you're
interested in purchasing this idea for an award show to give regular people awards.
And classic cable networks, too.
The regies is available.
We were really thinking BET maybe or AMC or something, something's been around, but we're happy
to go to the streamer.
Anywhere, bravo.
Anyone who gives us even a dollar, we will bring this award show to you.
909, don't leave your house if Bruno Mars is in town.
I think a lot of people could have used that advice last night.
818.
Sushi helps the most with injuries.
Yeah.
If you're a pregnant woman in your injured, you've got to immediately double down on the sushi.
650.
Fish!
There you go.
You said it.
6.0 lightning doesn't strike twice, but crack does.
626 eggs in spice.
That's where Jake was last night.
And 925, a thought is a thing that happens sometimes before someone eats a bite of oatmeal.
What's your takeaway from today's show, Vanessa?
Ed's face.
Thanks for that.
We just had that.
I love that.
Oh, it was.
Someone stole your takeaway.
It happens from time to time.
Always have a backup on the ready.
Johnny, takeaway?
Chipmunks.
Eggs in space was mine too.
We're just going to double down back here.
You guys should really communicate back there.
It seems like the two you should never have the same takeover.
We got to like double down on it now.
Like, forget it.
Five, six two's takeaway was with Johnny, cooking times vary.
Cooking times vary.
I don't know how long you cooked on the takeaway, but.
Never done.
Just keep cooking.
Takeaway Jake the nerd.
Clining Attitude, ground control
We love talking to ground control
That's all we get
We should air that tomorrow
I gotta find that
I think we may have deleted it
To be honest
I was looking for it earlier
Your takeaway, Allie?
My takeaway is buddy
Has a negative condensation
Sure does
DJ Omar Khan, takeaway
This is definitely not Vanessa
When you're answering phones
Do you wait for Vanessa
To answer the phones first?
We don't know who that was
Definitely not
That was anonymous
Why are you in the same?
Guys, boy.
If you don't know what we're talking about,
check out the podcast goes with the show.
Download wherever you get your podcasts.
Maybe some of this will make some sense to you.
If you're a new slugger,
thanks for joining the slog.
We'll do it together again tomorrow.
Give you some more stuff,
like more spots on that standby boarding list
so you can travel to a castle in Ireland
and see Fontaine's D.C.
Or as we renamed them today,
Fontaine's AC, because of the heat.
And also you can win a chance
on that standby list in about an hour with Sluggo.
Again, at noon, three and six all day long.
All right, that's it.
Hit us up.
Jingle.
Clown and Ellie, it's just okay.
Do do, do, do you know,
and alley, it's just okay.
Wow.
Clown and Ellie, it's just okay.
Just, just okay.
Thank you, ladies and gentlemen.
Thank you, ladies.
