Starting point is 00:00:00 We'll get into an episode of Klein Alley Show in just a moment, but in the meantime, let's tell you about our absolute favorite place on the planet. Yep, that would be San Bernardino International Airport, where you can go through the airport process without waiting in long lines and overpaying for parking. Quick connections to the Bay Area and the world, plus ski and snowboard in Provo from San Bernardino all winter long. Every other airport, you're going to be in long TSA lines, you're going to be miserable, you're going to say, oh, I got to get there two, three hours before my flight.
Starting point is 00:00:24 Not at San Bernardino International Airport. And now we send you on a direct flight into our podcast, which starts right now. All right. Anyone can do it any one time. It's not that impressive. Two times? Okay. Three times?
Starting point is 00:00:35 Maybe. But four times? Three times a lady. That's a forecomplishment. A word we've created. We'd love to hear what things you've done in your life that you consider to be a forecomplishment. Because that's when you've got something called a pattern. Pattern.
Starting point is 00:00:51 That's called chronic. It's a condition at that point. So we've got up for grabs right now, tickets for you to enter the next four private shows, the In-N-Out Burger Sound Space here at KROQ. That will include Dexter and the Moon Rocks, September 22nd, Fontaines, D.C., September 28th, The Beaches, October 19th. We're going to start charging you rent, and The Paradox on October 23rd. So you can win these tickets every hour.
Starting point is 00:01:17 Sometimes all you have to do is listen and call. In this particular case, since you're going to have a four accomplishment in your future, What is the four accomplishment you've had before we've met? And we say good morning now to Susie to kick things off. Susie, what has been your four accomplishment in life? Good morning, Sweet Divots. Sweet Divots. I got arrested four times in one month when I was 18.
Starting point is 00:01:41 That is a four accomplishment. Was it all for the same thing? Yes. No, it was for completely different things and like three different counties. Well, if only I'd been in four different counties, you would have already won this thing. We could end it. What were the four things you were arrested for in one month?
Starting point is 00:01:57 She's all, really? I got arrested. Me and my boyfriend took out his dad's boat, and his dad thought it got stolen, so he reported it. So we got arrested by the Coast Guard. Cool. Then I got arrested because I was smoking joint on a bus bench, but I also had a warrant,
Starting point is 00:02:14 so I went in for, like, the whole weekend that time. And then the third time, I got arrested because me and my friend climbed a fence to jump into the Bahia school football area because we were going to smoke on the field. And we got arrested by the school police. And then the fourth time, me and my friend were going to go to the movies, and she stopped. Let me guess, to smoke at your store? Oh, she stole stuff at a store. Oh, really? Okay.
Starting point is 00:02:43 And you were with her. I was still stuck in the store, but they thought I did too, so they arrested me at the same time. I mean, I would probably assume you did too at this point. Yeah, I'd say, hey, it's the girl from the bench in the football field. I just arrested you last week. Good to see you again. You know, I will say, though. That's a poor accomplishment, all right?
Starting point is 00:02:57 Four times in a month, arrested four times in a month for all kind of, you know, really misdemeanor-y stuff, but still. Especially because back then, we were all just finding a place to smoke weed. That's all you were trying to do. Now you can smoke wherever you want, but, you know, you used to have to get arrested. Kids these days don't understand the struggle of trying to climb into the football field so you can smoke on the 50-yard line. The days are confused.
Starting point is 00:03:18 All right, we say hi now to, let's see here. Wow, these are interesting. Valerie will come to you next. Let me say hi to Natalie. 800-520-1067. What is your four accomplishment in life? Something you've done four times, good or bad. We will decide if it's a four accomplishment or not.
Starting point is 00:03:36 Hi, what's up, Natalie? Hey, what's up? So I guess today was the fourth time I've, well, I guess the fourth day I actually put my foot down and I left my boyfriend. I kept coming back. Wait, this is the fourth time you've left your boyfriend? Well, I mean, like, I kept coming back,
Starting point is 00:03:55 but today was the day, like, I put my foot down. So you sound like this is fresh, fresh wound right now. You're crying as we speak, huh? Yeah, I was crying. It's probably the most depressing one. today's the day why are you breaking up with him why does he suck
Starting point is 00:04:13 it's just a lot so let me get this straight you broke up the first time usually the first breakups rarely take so that's a pretty standard go back to I would say usually a second or third are the ones that hold in this particular case
Starting point is 00:04:30 you guys have kids together you live together is it that sort of serious yeah of course all that stuff yeah of course I have kids keep coming back
Starting point is 00:04:39 and I get called to step off. It sounds like though this is the right thing to do and we hope that there's not a fifth time. No, I hope not. That's what I'm telling myself today.
Starting point is 00:04:56 Well, that's the good thing about the radio. It's a verbal contract. You're saying it now, so it is done. That's not true. This is not a verbal contract. Sign on this line. Sign, you sign. Done. Um, I feel, uh, I feel so bad now and I would look like a total ass if we went to more callers
Starting point is 00:05:14 because really we should just say, take the goddamn tickets and get on with your life. But you know, fair is fair. But this person on the text line had a four by four in and out. Oh, they did? Yeah. Oh, sorry, Natalie. Nice meeting you. Good luck.
Starting point is 00:05:27 Hold on. I'm just kidding. You hold on. Hold on. Don't go anywhere. And congratulations on doing what probably is the right decision. I don't know. Maybe she was the problem.
Starting point is 00:05:35 I don't know what he, you know, let's not just go and assume. Well, if she's broken up one, two, three times and he drags her back. Did you break up every time or did he ever do any of the breaking up? No, I just wanted to leave him because he's a piece of... You know, there's no cheating at all. It's just he's very insecure. I go to work every day and I'm still the problem. What did she say?
Starting point is 00:06:04 I go to work every day and I'm still the problem. Oh, got it. Are you already ignoring her? No, no, I couldn't. I'm trying to translate. Sometimes I need another woman to translate a woman crying. I couldn't understand. She sounds very emotional.
Starting point is 00:06:14 It's hard to speak a woman crying. Yeah, Allie got it. I bet you Vanessa knows it. This is our first language at home. All I heard was like, meh. But, like, I feel bad, obviously. It sounds like a bad situation. So I'm rooting for, trust me when I say, you're strong enough to get through it.
Starting point is 00:06:30 Thank you. Thank you. I appreciate it. So this is happening later today, or you've already done it? No, I already did it. I already did it. Before we definitely say let's just give her the tickets, let me hear what Marco has to say.
Starting point is 00:06:44 Marco, good luck following that. What's your four accomplishment? Dude, I don't even know if I can follow it, but good morning. Sweet divots. Sweet divots. So I played fantasy football. I played four leagues. In one year, I made it to the championship in all four leagues.
Starting point is 00:06:59 Let's give this man the tickets. Ali, come on. He's going to start crying. We got a winner here, huh, Marco? Do you know how hard it is to make it to the championship in four different fantasy football leagues? I mean, that is a forecomplishment. It sure is. It's pretty incredible.
Starting point is 00:07:13 Are these all expensive leagues or are these cheapo leagues like the ones I play in? No, one of them has like 14 people, 14 managers, about $200 to enter. The other three are a little cheaper, about $60. Now, I can start crying because I lost all four leagues. Oh, man. I didn't win one. That's kind of funny. You go get it for the four years.
Starting point is 00:07:34 You got to the championships and you lost all of them. Get to the final game and all four and lose. Still lost all your money. That's one of those win slash loses situations. Well, you probably at least got what you put into it. Usually second place gets at least a little something. Hold on, Marco. That's a very sad story.
Starting point is 00:07:47 Let's all take a moment thinking about what Marco's going through right now. Yeah, that's rough. Jose on K-Rock, good morning. Welcome to Four Accomplishments. Chat, what's up? Hey, good morning. It's Sweet Divots. When I was in college, I used to drive a 1991 Camry.
Starting point is 00:08:01 And it got stolen from in front of my house four different times. Wow, car stolen four times. You're halfway there, Klein. Stolen four times, that's right. Well, this car's been stolen twice, but once we never got back. So technically, it's only the current one. The current one's only been stolen once. You had the same car stolen and recovered four times?
Starting point is 00:08:17 Yeah, it was like one of those old cars that had the automatic seatbelts where any key would unlock the car and any key would turn it on. People would take it for joy rides. And then they'd bring it back? Any key would turn your car on? Any key would turn it on. And, no, they would just, like, find it in a mall parking lot or something. Were you disappointed every time they found it because you were hoping maybe you'd get that insurance money and get a different car?
Starting point is 00:08:42 Oh, man, that car was probably worth, like, $500. What a horrible system. Any key? Yeah, they didn't really think that through, huh? Valerie, we give you the final word here. Oh, hold on, James. We'll go to James next. Go ahead, Valerie, and then we have to make a decision.
Starting point is 00:08:57 You got it. A flex and a fail. Well, I just received my fourth parking ticket for street sweeping, which is $76 because the sign says it is after the third Tuesday of every month. And I'm an idiot, and I cannot compute that in my head. Yeah, no one can figure that out. They go to a special Yoda person to make those signs, and they go, how can we make this the most confusing? Every second and fourth Wednesday. I don't even know what that is.
Starting point is 00:09:23 What is that even saying? I'll just leave it here. I can do four gravity bongs in a row and not pass out, willing to do it at any party, and I am 50 years old. I'd like to see you do that tomorrow at our Fiesta Siesta. Seems like it'd be a siesta after the fourth rip. James, we truly do give you the final word here as we wrap up our conversation about four accomplishments before we give away tickets to the next four shows of K-Rock. Three divots, guys. What's up?
Starting point is 00:09:50 um so i i don't have four fingers on my left hand uh just another uh handicap listener wait so you just got one finger i got a thumb i'm i'm thumbs up i'm all thumbs you're you're just wait james meet vanessa yeah she is in for right now i just said wow like just imagine that that's wild wow i've always knew you were out there so you let me get this straight you have hand hand and you have a thumb and there are no fingers correct i have a palm and a thumb and i used to be left-handed uh before my accident and uh then i had to like learn how to be right-handed and i played guitar so now i use a thumb pick uh it's wild what is the uh what was What's the accident you speak of?
Starting point is 00:10:43 So there's many stories. There's much more, but I tell many. But it was actually a car accident. Well, what's the best story you usually tell? Shark or something? Yeah, it's usually like around Fourth of July, I go, you know, like, well, you know, be careful around the fireworks. Thumbs up for safety. Ah, and Vanessa, he's got a sense of humor.
Starting point is 00:11:04 Oh, my God. I was just thinking that was wild. That's it. Vanessa was just saying today that she had a premonition she was going to meet a no-finger, one-thumb man. Who can thumb pick on a guitar like nobody's business. Do you have a guitar nearby? We could hear you sound playing the guitar with your one thumb. No, I don't.
Starting point is 00:11:23 We don't believe that. I do have one in the car, though. No, we can wait. How long would it take you to get to your car? Probably like 10 minutes. Oh, we can't wait that long. Oh, man, jeez. Couldn't park closer than that?
Starting point is 00:11:37 You probably have handicapped parking. Hold on one second. That seems like a terrible parking situation. Why is your car so far away? You have one thumb. All right, James, hang tight. That's one thumb James right there. I think hang tight is kind of rude to say.
Starting point is 00:11:50 Sorry. Hang loose. Allie, we've heard a lot of stories. These are all people that have had four accomplishments. Got a guy who's missing four fingers. Which is incredible that he has relearned to play the guitar with a thumb pick. Incredible story. And I'd love to meet this man.
Starting point is 00:12:07 I'd love him to join forces with One-Armed Gary and Blind Charlie. And One-Legged Louis. One-Legged Louis. But I do, you know, we've been accused of being heartless on the show. And I think it's worthy of us to prove to our audience that we actually do have a heart when it matters. And to Marco, who lost his fantasy football championships, I think we have to give him our tickets. For sure. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:33 I mean, that's... That's the saddest thing we heard by far. I mean, he got to the championships. Four different teams. He didn't win. God damn. That's a lot of money down the drain. It made me almost cry.
Starting point is 00:12:43 It's a lot of time invested. Think of how many trades, the waiver wire. Call that crying lady and give her the tickets. Oh, come on. For the game. Also, call James and go on a date with him. Yeah, and call James. This is James right now.
Starting point is 00:12:56 He's very good. Listen to him. Man. He finally got his guitar. James, you are good. God damn. Look at that thumb picking. James, impressive stuff right here, man.
Starting point is 00:13:08 I'm really proud to hear this.
