We're in the middle of a game.
This linebacker, this linebacker walks up to me.
He goes, hey, ref, my mom wants you to wave at her.
What?
Time out.
Quarterback on office blue with 42.
A rep, my mama want you to wave at her.
What?
Where's she at?
Hey, Miss Parker.

Welcome to Hour 2 of Kentucky Sports Radio, presented by Stockton Mortgage.
Now, here's Matt Jones.
All right, welcome back. Hour number two, Kentucky Sports Radio, Ryan, Drew, Shannon.
We got Mario, Billy, got the whole crew here for our second stop on the KSR pop-up summer business tour.
We were at Heritage Hills, Heritage Hill.
golf club in Shepherdsville, Kentucky, Bullitt County,
Shannon, the dude's old stomping ground.
Just talked to a guy named Brian.
He lives on the 13th green.
13th, there he is, Brian.
Yep.
He said this was an old dairy farm before they made it into this golf course out here.
And he grew up out here.
Okay.
And the big house that you drive by when you get to the pro shop,
that that's used to slide down, sled down that big hill over there.
Yeah, there's some good sledding hills in Bullitt County.
There's a big aerial photo of the farm in there in the clubhouse.
It's pretty cool to see.
Before it was?
Yeah, certainly a farm.
Looks like a farm.
Very cool.
It turned in the golf.
Pretty neat photo.
Who's this segment sponsored by, Drew?
It is sponsored by our friends at UK Federal Credit Union, the official credit union of the University of Kentucky.
It's also an award-winning and best places to work winner.
I really like their app and their mobile banking.
With using that, UK Federal Credit Union's camera can save you time as you make a mobile deposit or pay bills, check balances.
It's all there with a touch of button.
And for added security, you can set up card controls and travel notifications.
in the app. While traveling, you use the UKFCU app to locate your nearest fee-free ATM.
Anytime you need that cash when you're on the go, it's always with you and available.
UKFCU's mobile app. It just makes banking better. Membership eligibility required,
federally insured by NCUA. That's University of Credit, University of Kentucky Federal Credit
Union. Big thanks to UK Federal Credit Union. Big thanks to Heritage Hill Golf Club.
Look, I just read this line here. If you're lucky, you can see wild turkeys, deer, fox, or bald eagles.
That's what you get.
That's right.
How about that?
You don't get this in other counties.
How about that bullet county coming strong?
That's right.
All right, we gave you guys a little homework assignment again last night.
We want to get to.
And really, I did it because of you, Drew.
Okay.
This came in on the A-Vision Glass Text Machine this weekend.
Said, what is your best or have you had a memorable interaction with a celebrity by accident?
Just kind of just run into somebody, not playing.
Like, you know, we can't say John Caliperi at Rupp Arena.
Of course, John Calipari is.
going to be at Rupp Arena.
I know a couple of yours, but you're immediately what I thought of, so I want all you guys
to jump in with your answers.
Who do you, we'll let you go first.
Well, we'll get the big one out of the way that's been told a few times when Matt and I met
Marilyn Manson.
Yes.
And he requested to sit between us on a Southwest flight, left his fiancé.
Matt and I, because you pick your seats on Southwest, there's no assigned seats.
We boarded first, paid the big group A, and we intentionally were like, hey, let's look big.
you know you stick your legs wide, make that middle seat look as uncomfortable as possible,
so that the two of us would just have the road to ourselves.
Here comes Marilyn Manson.
We had already met him and taken a picture in the airport,
thought that was the last time I'll ever see this man in my life.
He is with his fiance, and he says, I'll sit there.
And she goes, you're going to sit with them, and he says, yep.
And he climbs over me and flops down between Matt and me.
Dude, for the next hour and a half, he did not stop talking.
I know Matt always tells the side of the story.
He didn't take a breath for an hour and a half.
And I loved every minute of it because he's telling us most of it's probably making it up.
Right.
He also ordered a round of, I want to say, it wasn't Bourbon.
I want to say it was Jack Daniels.
I had to tough through some Jack Daniels.
Put it on Matt's tab.
I don't care what happens for the rest of my life.
Nothing will be more surreal.
Part of it is the fact that he asked, scoot over, move your thighs.
You already had that nice interaction, but.
before I think that's what it was.
I held a device from the sharper image in our photo from his request.
Yes.
It looks a little funny.
But that one, like even now just telling it, my brain is like, did that really happen?
Yes.
He invited me to go.
It was Halloween.
It was October 31st.
We were flying.
Yes.
He was having a party that night in Hollywood and he invited us to go.
Matt didn't want to go.
We were staying a little farther outside Hollywood.
Dude.
I consider an hour Uber by myself.
Oh.
But then I thought, that's, I don't want to die like that.
What?
I'm really just, I guess.
disappointed that I wasn't with you guys
because I would have definitely taken that trip with you.
Yes, you would have.
You know how many people would pay to sit
next to Marilyn Manson on a plane?
Like he got the whole like Marilyn Manson
Fantasy Camp experience sitting next to him.
And then he invited to go to a party with Marilyn Manson.
What's the little is a pellet gun?
It's got a little air gun. It'll hurt me.
You know, it's not too much damage with the little
not a BB gun, even a notch down from that.
Yeah, one of those. He invited it to go
shoot people off his balcony
in Hollywood. People in costumes.
I didn't want to shoot anybody.
That's what.
That's what he was up to that night.
You guys want to go?
It's like, no, I'm just trying to get to, I'm trying to get from point A to point B.
I think we're going Vegas to L.A.
for the Breeders Cup.
That's awesome.
That will be number one.
Yeah.
Absolutely forever.
One I've never told is I go to this comedy show in New York every time I go.
I don't miss it.
Comedy seller.
Okay.
Have we been as a trip?
I don't think we have.
I don't think so.
I love it.
I absolutely love it.
And I'd say if I've been, I'm probably batting 500 on big time celebrity sightings in there
because so many comedians go to listen to other comedians.
There's a diner attached next to it, the Olive Tree Cafe.
Like the Saturday Live cast will just show up there after the show.
I mean, there's constantly people in there.
I can name drop many comedians I've seen.
But one night I'm in there just watching whoever it's usually just randoms I've never heard of,
five up-and-comers.
And I'll look at the guy next to me.
And I was like, the guy looks familiar.
You know, go back, you don't want to talk or anything.
I'll look again, and he gives me a little nod, and it was Aziz Ansari,
who was an A-list at this point in comedy.
Yeah.
I mean, this is a guy with Netflix specials.
He had just done the garden, and he does a little to me and, like, covers his mouth, like, don't call me out.
And I just kind of tip my cap.
And then when we're leaving, we're kind of side by side in this cluster leaving the basement.
I was just like, hey, man, like the comedy's like, yeah, yeah, thanks for keeping it down.
And he just put his hood on, walked right out and disappeared into the night.
But to go to a comedy show where I paid 20 bucks to get in to see five comedians I've never seen.
And then I'm like shoulder to shoulder with an A-list comedian.
And he just kind of gives me like a don't let him know.
Yeah.
But that was as more of the randoms where you just end up next to someone, that was another one that felt pretty bizarre.
Before you quit, I want you to tell one more if you don't mind telling it.
The guy you met at Tin Roof, I don't want to give away who it is.
You know what I'm talking about.
Colesvindale?
Yes.
Can you tell that story?
I can't.
I think we've sort of hinted at this before.
I don't know if you ever told the full story.
No, we told the full story at the time.
He's since gotten a lot bigger.
It wasn't a pleasant first interaction.
I told it that next day.
We were doing a pre-game show in Rupp Arena back when we did those.
I remember that?
Yes.
And he had done a show at Tenderoo the night before.
Cole's a big fan of Cole.
At the time he was, I just say that.
He must have introduced himself to everyone five times.
To the point we interrupted, we're like, we're familiar with you're Cole, I'm Drew.
We've done this over and over.
But he was up and coming.
I think he was just really into marketing at that point.
But Cole Swindell was a big fan of, do you know who I am,
guy at that point in his career.
Well, didn't he come up and say, I'm Cole Swindale?
The Coleswendo.
Not just any Colesmendale.
I have the Coleswendo.
I believe my response was, yes, you said that five minutes ago.
But how many other Coleswindles?
He's a big star. I actually feel bad telling that story as I repeat it.
Now he's fine.
But at the time, you know, he's not the Coleswendole he was now.
He's trying to get his name out there every three minutes.
Billy, you got one for us?
I do.
Yes, I was just trying to look up who Cole Swindell is.
I had no idea who he'll tell you.
Oh, he'll tell you.
He's the Coleswold.
window. I got to be careful with this story, but it was back when I was in college. I was interning in Nashville for 104-5 The Zone, and my job was to book guests on the show. And so I ended up doing something with comedy off-Broadway. They have a bunch of comedians that come through. So I booked a couple comedians like Pete Davidson and Jay Farrow. And Jay Farrow is the impressionist. And I think Shannon's heard this story before.
Jay Farrow came to the studio and I was going to let him in,
but I went to the back door and the back door had locked behind me.
So we couldn't get through the back door.
So this is the middle of July,
and me and Jay have to walk from the back door all the way around a building to the front.
And Jay gets on the air and he just starts complaining about having to walk.
And he was like, man, I'm sweating my ass off out here.
You know, your intern just made me walk all the way across the building.
Look at this guy.
Now, I'm dressed up.
I'm trying to make a good impression as an intern.
I've got a button down on and I slacks and my hair slicked back and young Billy R. Sports and he's like, look at this metrosexual over here.
I mean, come on, do you even have a blank?
And I was, I had to go on the air to defend myself that, yes, I was a guy.
Wow.
And I am a part of the show.
So Jay Farrow, I know he's a comedian, but I mean, he took his shots at me back in, I guess this was like 2015 in Nashville.
And we should have considered calling him Billy the dude.
Dude. I had to make sure everybody knew after that, but I didn't expect Jay to attack me.
Attack me. It was 110 degrees outside that day, and I guess he wasn't very happy having to walk around the building.
Where is he these days? He's like super talented and kind of disappeared.
He can do hundreds of impersonations.
I saw him on a commercial. He's on a commercial or something.
He was in studio. Were you at that show?
He did KSR with Matt and me and just kept doing impersonations over and over.
Yeah, I think I was there.
I think I was there at that show.
I wasn't there.
I remember that show, but I wasn't there with you guys.
Do you have a good one, Ryan?
Go ahead.
I don't really.
I was trying to think, like, you know, you say accidental, like,
run-ins with celebrities.
I don't really know that I've got any that come to mind.
I guess the closest would be when we were down in Memphis
and we were tweeting Jerry the King Lawler to come out to his club.
Of course, we were in his club.
We weren't in Memphis.
So we kind of summoned him to come in.
But I was surprised when he actually did show up after we, you know,
harassed him on Twitter.
that was really cool though for me you know growing up being a wrestling fan and then you know he kind of took
mat now over to the side and showed us his VIP room in the club so that was cool but I don't have anything
that would rival being as good a story as Drew's Maryland Manson story I have a random derby one you know a derby
oh that's a good one you just yeah just run into them everywhere Matt and I were at the uh what's the one
where you got dress up all fancy in their backyard barn brown brown stable barn barn stable brown
yeah brown stable barn there we go barnstable brown party and uh
But there's always the Patriots and the Packers love derby.
Aaron Rogers, Randall Cobb, they don't miss the derby together.
Then the Patriots, Brady and his crew, Welker, they went to all of them still probably do.
Gronk, seen him a few times.
But we're at Barnstable Brown, and you're kind of just crammed in this area for the porta-potties.
It's all you're just bunched in.
And I look up, and I am like being pushed in the back into Tom Brady's camp.
And I'm not even really supposed to be there near them to begin with.
But I'm now just standing there.
So I'm like, hello, there's Patriots, and I'm in minding my own business.
And Tom Brady has like a guy.
I don't even like a manager or assistant, his dude.
And they were flying after, this was Oaks night,
they were flying after Derby to get to one of the big fights
when they'd have them the night of Derby night.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Weather, Pachial, one of those things.
And just small talking, I heard him say something about the flight.
So I talked to the one guy that's not on the team,
this assistant, just so I'm not bothering the A-list guys.
So I heard you go into the fight.
Yeah, he'd take the plane, blah, blah, blah, got any room?
Yeah, come on.
Just kidding, kidding like that.
Yeah, like I'll sit in Tom's lap and kind of like pat him.
And he says, come on and pat's his thigh.
At that point, I'm just stunned.
Like Tom Brady is joking about me sitting on his thigh.
I didn't know this story.
I mean, that was the only interaction was him patting his thigh and that little laugh.
And then, you know, bathroom line moves on.
But that was just like, why am I standing here?
And why am I offering to sit in Tom Brady's lap to go to Vegas right now?
Mario, you got one for us?
I don't have one that's necessarily positive in my eyes,
but since you called me out, I guess I have to give it to you.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
So it was about a year, a year and a half ago.
I'm working.
This is not really, like, I would say it was expected, right?
I'm working at Camp DeAngelo Russell's camp in Louisville, Kentucky,
and obviously you're going to meet DeAngelo Russell.
Yeah, it's his camp.
Sure.
And I run into him, and, you know, I'm with the kids.
I'm working as a coach, so I'm coaching younger kids and everything like that.
And, you know, I'm meeting DeAngelo for the first time.
And I'm like, hey, what's up, DeAngelo?
And he's like, hey, man, what's up?
I was, hey, you mind if I just have a quick conversation with you?
The goal was, obviously, I wanted to have a conversation to bring him on my podcast.
Just get him a little five, ten minute interview.
And once, you know, he kind of, we didn't even really get to talk.
He was like, can't you see I'm busy?
And then that was the end of that.
That was the overall, like, the experience of it.
But he wasn't really busy at my eyes, but it is what it is.
He's learning the grind of trying to get an interview.
Yeah, it's tough.
It's tough.
I do remember when we were in ESPN with Matt when he was doing his show that time.
I don't know if it was you and I drew that were walking or maybe I was by myself,
but I remember passing a guy in the hallway just cutting a promo on somebody on the phone,
just ripping them up one side and down the other.
and I realized, oh, that's Randy Moss.
Yeah.
It was just like, I don't know what was going on.
He was not having it that day.
And I was like, okay, yeah, I wouldn't want to mess with him.
Yeah, I was with you.
Was you?
Okay, he was walking down that hallway on the phone.
He was not happy about something.
I think Daniel was even kind of shooting video of us, right?
No, he's filming me and you, and we weren't going to acknowledge Randy,
and you went out of the way to acknowledge Randy,
and Daniel turned and put the camera on him.
And I'm thinking he does not want this at all.
He was not happy.
Let's get out of this hallway right now.
Whoever he was talking to, he was not happy.
Sometimes Mario and Ryan with the Randy Moss, the athletes, they're just not in the mood to answer your question.
That's part of the gig.
I got a couple of minor interactions, and three of them happened at the airport.
Like I remember one time I almost ran over Ludicrous.
Ludac was walking down the airport, and you're in a hurry sometime in the airport, you're not paying any attention.
And it was just him and like one bodyguard guy.
He's little.
I mean, you know, ludicrous is not.
He looks little.
So, hold on, you almost ran over ludicrous.
Like, what part of the airport?
Like, the parking lot?
I picture you on, like, the thing inside that beeps and you have, like, the tarmac.
No, like, he was coming around a corner, and I was coming around a corner and wham!
Like, I almost.
And I didn't realize who it was at first, because he was so little, and I realized, wait, but that's ludicrous.
I thought he meant he was on foot.
He almost ran him down.
He is a little guy.
A guy could probably take him.
Jesse Jackson, I saw him at the airport one time, and I wanted to go approach him and just say, hey.
but before you even get there,
like his guys are like, you know,
keeping everybody back from it.
I saw Stuart Scott at an airport
and sat and talked to me for like 30 minutes.
We're both waiting for a flight.
What a great guy.
I mean, he just genuinely just a great, great guy.
But the one story that kind of came to mind,
I've already told this on the air,
my Robin Leach story.
I like this one, yeah.
I'm still recovering from you almost killing ludicrous.
Yeah, I almost bowled him over.
I almost bowled him over Jessica Simpson at the Kentucky Derby.
You forgot about that.
When she was doing her big reality show with who was her husband?
Nick Lachet.
Yeah.
And they had their reality show.
98 degrees.
They were filming them both at the Kentucky Derby.
And I was really sick that day.
I was sick.
And I was just one of those where I had my head down.
I'm walking through there and wham!
And I look, and there's TV cameras all around.
And I thought, all great.
Because I didn't, you know, they were filming stuff for her reality show.
Yeah.
Ludacris Jessica Simpson, you try to take down the 2000.
Yeah, boy.
That and you had some bad interactions at the things.
the Kentucky Derby, it sounds like.
Maybe I should just stay away with the Kentucky Derby.
Probably a good idea for you.
I have a good airport one that I want to tell.
Yeah.
It's in the line with your Stuart Scott one.
I was in the Atlanta airport by myself going to my Taco Bell trip years ago.
Yes.
I just went, you know, a random airport bar, whatever it's called, sports bar, something
generic.
And there was one man standing up over at the end talking to the bartender, and he would
get one bottle of Bud Light, and he'd put down a 20.
And at the time, you could get a bottle of beer for $20 on airport.
But my point is it was a significant tip on each bottle.
I say it was probably $10,12,
bucks every time he got one.
And I'm like, how does this guy look familiar?
I didn't have a great angle.
I'm like, this is the nicest guy ever.
And he turns around, and it was Craig Seger from TNT.
Oh, yeah.
And because he didn't have on his outfit,
it took me a second to place, you know, his face.
And I sat there for an hour.
I sat high, but I didn't disturb him.
But I heard him talking to other people.
And that was a super nice guy.
And even when he left, I kind of mentioned,
it was just $20 bill beer, $20 beer,
and how nice he was.
And the bartender there was like, he comes here.
You know, he's flying everywhere.
It's like he's here all the time.
And he was one of the nicest humans ever.
Great.
And at that point, I'd only known him as the colorful suit guy you seen on TNT,
and he since passed away.
But that one little moment in that airport, just watching him be himself.
Like Mario just said some people don't want to be bothered.
I was watching him, not knowing anyone else was paying attention.
And he was just being a great dude.
So that was a pretty cool airport interaction I had with Craig Seger.
Just we got to go to a break,
I'll just finish my Robin Leach story just real quick.
If you haven't heard it, he were to show it.
It was David Spade.
We would see David Spade in Las Vegas.
And we see Robin Leach there, and he's with a much younger companion.
Much, much younger companion.
And we go up to him and I said, hey, do you care if you get your picture taken with these two ladies here?
And he looked at us and goes, oh, please.
Walked away.
That's my Robin Leet story.
All right, we'll take our break.
We'll come back.
Ryan, Drew, Shannon, Billy, Mario.
We've got the whole crew here.
We're at Heritage Hill Golf Club in Shepherdsville, Bullitt County.
We'll be right back.

when we're in the pursuit of the thing,
we get so wrapped up in the chase
that we don't realize that we
are in possession of the thing
and we're still chasing it
and we don't know when we've done enough
because people scoreboard watch. Life
becomes about wins and losses.
Steve Burns, Dustin Ross, because you find it important to be a good person while you hear on earth?
Are you a good person because you're afraid?
Because that's two different intentions, bro.
Absolutely.

What?
Come on out.
Quarterback on office blue of 42.
Hey, rep, my mama want you to wave at her.
What?
Hey, Miss Parker.

We're here at Heritage Hill Golf Club on our KSR pop-up summer show tour.
If you're looking to, you know, try a new course out, come on over here and try this one out.
It's beautiful out here.
It's a great course.
I think you'll enjoy playing it.
We spent that whole commercial break, guys, talking about ones that we missed,
celebrity interactions that we missed.
You thought of one.
Well, Billy reminds me about.
more things that I've forgotten about my own life than I can remember.
He said, didn't you just meet the guy from MTV last year at Louder than Life?
Matt Penfield, which was a guy that's really connected to the music scene, obviously on MTV,
but he was so cool.
He said, hey, if you're ever out in L.A., here's my phone number.
Give me a call.
We'll go hang out.
Well, that's pretty cool.
Let's go to L.A.
Now I'm like, I've got a reason to go back to L.A. now.
But there was a couple others that you thought of.
Several people on the Aviation Glass Text Machine reminded me and Drew about.
you had an interact with Jay Cutler.
We cross paths once upon a time.
We won't revisit that one.
He's a good man in the On-3 sports company.
But we crossed paths back in the day, said hello to each other.
Remember that?
Not so cordial as hellos, but he's a good on-three employee now.
He's somewhere in the company, doing something.
You know, we all grow up and forget about little trials and tribulations along the way.
I had forgotten one.
Not only did I almost knock over Ludacris at the airport.
Not only did I almost knock over Jessica Simpson at the Kentucky Derby,
I almost knocked over Cheryl in the Iheart building in Lexington.
And another, she's teeny tiny.
She's like four foot, nothing.
And remember she had that pop-up show in the Iheart building
when she was trying to start her country music career?
I walked around the corner and wham!
There's Cheryl Crow!
Like, oh, my.
You know, most people don't barrel through any A-list celebrities.
You have at least three.
You try to take down.
I've been on an elephant.
with Patrick Swayze he's a little bitty guy he's sort of than I am my
understanding is all famous people are tiny right yeah that's like a trick
they're all playing on us Tom Cruz is like three C's little Jay Z was tiny I think
they're all tiny JZ's tiny I didn't know he's a little fellow 8592802 287 I
know Andy's been holding forever let's get him up real quick Matt go ahead
Andy hey guys I just wanted to come in with Danny Hurley thing I really don't
think he ever had any intentions
taking the Lakers job.
I don't think he really took it seriously.
I think a lot of that was done for
leverage, probably to get more money
from UConn, not just for him
and for his assistance.
And not only that,
he can, you know, go into
the recruits' house and go, hey,
I just turned down the Lakers.
And I just think
most of that was for show.
You talk about leverage.
I mean, the guy just wants to
back-to-back titles, turned down the Los Angeles Lakers.
He's about to get a big contract.
That's what I'm saying.
He's starting to give him half the university.
When Kentucky was trying to steal him, there were reports that Ucon's kind of broke.
So it might be the case that they don't have money to give him, which would make this situation interesting.
Even crazier, he deserves to stay there, turning down a lot of money with Kentucky and a lot of money with the Lakers to stay in Connecticut.
If they don't mind me having the extra money to give him.
Somebody's got money up there to pay that man.
When you turn down two of the biggest brands in all of basketball,
you've got to find a way to take care of him.
That's right.
Yeah, you ought to be set for life there in Connecticut.
Not only that, you're just, I mean, right now you're the king of college basketball,
and that liquor's probably going to be open in three years anyway.
You're right, Andy.
Yep, can't disagree with anything you said.
Man, good to hear from you.
Hope to see you soon.
Maybe at our watch.
Hey, I'm trying to get up there next Tuesday.
Okay.
All right, we'll let us know, Andy.
We'll have a spot for you.
All right, we'll take our break.
Come back, 859-9-2-2-287.
I've got a couple people on hold right now.
We'll get to you.
We come back from the break.
Ryan, Drew, Shannon, Billy, Mario.
Everybody's here.
It's a big house here.
The Heritage Hill golf course in Shepherdsville in Bullitt County on the KSR pop-up summer business tour.
Come on out.
Bring your clubs.
Join us for the show and play a little golf afterwards.
We'll be right back.

Sometimes when we're in the pursuit of the thing, we get so rap.
up in the chase, that we don't realize that we are in possession of the thing.
And we're still chasing it.
And we don't know when we've done enough.
Because people scoreboard watch.
Life becomes about wins and losses.
Steve Burns, Dustin Ross, because you find it important to be a good person while you

Are you a good person because you're afraid?
Because that's two different intentions, bro.
Absolutely.
And that's two different levels of trust.

What's up, guys?
This is Clivert Taylor the Fourth.
And on my podcast, The Cliverts Show, I'm bringing you conversations about all kinds of stuff.
Like being an internet famous referee.
We're in the middle of a game.
This linebacker walks up to me, he goes, hey, ref, my mom wants you to wave at her.
What?
Time out.
Look, quarterback on office blue with 42.
Hey, Rhett, Mom, I want you to weigh better.
What?
Hey, Ms. Parker.
Listen to the Clifford show on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast.
All right, welcome back, Kentucky Sports Radio, Ryan Drew, Shannon, Billy, Mario.
We've got some breaking news here.
If we've got the breaking news button or Shannon, you can do the breaking news effect yourself.
Do you have it, Matt?
How about
Wani Nana.
There we go.
Wani Nana.
Do it again one more time.
No, you got it.
It's enough.
Wani Nana.
We don't want to annoy everybody out here.
Danny Hurley just got a new contract from Yukon.
Six years, 50 million.
Just over $8 million a year puts him just behind
Caliperi and self.
It sounds like to me they're a little short.
$70 million to $50 million.
I would go to Yukon and say,
how about another $20 million?
That math ain't math in right.
Yeah.
No.
I mean, it's a little bit short.
Still a lot of money.
Man, you must love Stores, Connecticut.
You must love that area.
You're going to be willing to give up $20 million to stay there.
I get it.
I actually get it.
But if you're Danny Hurley, you're probably thinking that money's going to be there for me next year
or the year after when I'm ready to move.
You've got to be thinking, okay, I can still get that money for the next job.
But this is the Lakers.
Yeah.
The thing about the Lakers is just the stability wasn't there for the Lakers.
You know, they get a new coach every two to three years,
and then, you know, I think he was thinking about the stability and the game,
the style of play.
The college game is different from the NBA.
So Danny Hurley's staying at Yukon.
He's going to the next in a few years.
If he's not the coach of the New York Knicks within, how long is two of it?
I don't have an exact timeline, but I'm making up a scenario in my head where Hurley said,
because he's been very open about one ago of the NBA.
I think he's going to wait.
He can stay in the northeast, keep.
Keep the wife happy.
Go do all the Connecticut you want to do.
You can Connecticut your little heart out, and he'll be the coach of the Knicks.
You heard it here on June 11th.
I can see it happening.
2024.
All right, 859-2-287.
Who we got, Matt?
Sam, go ahead, Sam.
How you doing, Sam?
Good.
I still recovering.
Trying to get my voice back from Sunday night.
But, you know, as a Kentucky fan, I was a fantastic.
I see my guy, Mario.
Thank you.
Appreciate it.
Appreciate the phone call.
Yeah, I mean, the pitching staff, you know, there were points in the season where the bullpen was kind of shaky at times, Shannon.
Yeah.
That bullpen, I mean, we didn't talk enough about what Cam came in and shut him down with the bases loaded and won out, and he got like two strikeouts.
I mean, the bullpen has been unbelievable in the postseason.
Yeah, they have.
And credit to Minggione for also picking the right guy at the right time.
You know, that 27th out was really tough to get the other night, but Minggione had to go to, you know, the bullpen and pick the right players to come in at that moment.
moment and you're right they've been clutch so far and hopefully they'll continue that
throughout the college world series because I think they're going to lean on them quite a bit
I like Hummel that got the final out that was the only battery faced in all five games
that's all he needed that's all he needed yeah I think the number was 156 total batters
UK went up against he only faced the last one that's amazing just sitting there waiting to
be called yeah the the the nova kid came in in the first game and shut them down the way
you know three scoreless endings I think what was the staff with three hits in the
Super read.
It's an NCAA record.
It's got to be.
It's amazing.
Kentucky went into the postseason, and, you know, we're all very confident.
The number two overall seed, but if you have a worry or a weakness, the pitching staff, it wasn't, you know, I'd say that was probably one of the bigger concerns.
The hitting has been there, and the pitching staff didn't have a great end of the year, but they put those doubts away pretty quickly in the NCAA tournament.
In game two, I mean, Oregon State scored two runs and didn't have a hit.
Basis-loaded walks.
Yeah, so think about that for a minute.
Two runs and no hits.
Mason Moore
One of those I think
There was about seven strikes he threw
Before the up finally called a walk
We're not gonna complain about any
Any upping back there
But some of Mason Moore's walks
I had a problem with with my strike zone
Up against the ump strike zone
You could see in the video
Although a lot of people behind home plate
Very kind of concerned about some of the ball strike calls
If you heard any booing on TV
It was me
I was booing the loudest for some of those calls
Were you the one starting the blue white chant
Because I could hear somebody go blue
And it sounded like you
and I'm going,
well,
that sounds like Drew.
It did sound like Drew.
I was on the white team.
There was someone farther to my left and left field,
a woman.
To her credit,
she did it several times throughout the game.
She'd stand up and do a blue,
and then our section would do a white.
But it was only one half of the stadium.
We needed the other half to participate.
We had like a blue white on the same side,
but I'm glad that made it through the TV.
We did a lot of that.
Who's next, Matt?
Let's get up another phone call.
Who we got?
Domingo.
Go ahead, sir.
Hey, what's up, fellas?
Just want to understand.
and listen to you. Unfortunately, I live right there by Heritage Hill, and we're up there about
four or five times a week. It's a great place. And my daughter, she's talking about Oklahoma,
she actually works up there at the golf course in the summertime. She's just graduated from
OU, but so it's pretty cool that you guys are there. I wish I would have known you were
to be there. Unfortunately, we had to make a trip over here to Georgetown for my son's golf event
over here at Cherry Blossom. So we passed the McDonald's in Midway earlier today, and I thought
about you because I heard Ryan say he was coming that way earlier.
But it's a great golf course, and I enjoy listening to you.
And good luck to your catch there in Omaha.
Well, thank you, Domingo.
We appreciate that.
He probably passed, Mario, he probably passed us.
We were stuck in traffic trying to get this way while he was going to Georgetown,
the Cherry Blossom.
Got another on the Aviation Glass Tech Machine.
This is from a good Kentucky Wesleyan buddy of mine.
Ernest June Bug Rakes, great player, basketball player.
Number four.
He's a Bullet County guy.
He said, hey, buddy, you're at my golf club.
I'm a member there at Heritage Hill.
How about that?
Look at that.
Where is he at today?
Why is he not out here?
Maybe he is out here playing somewhere.
We have to wait and go find out.
I got some inside advice on this 18th T-shirt.
Okay.
All right.
What is it?
He said we're looking at about a 340 off the T.
I'm out on that.
Yeah.
If anybody else got a little 3-40 over water in them, congratulations.
340 yards?
With some water.
Yeah.
I appreciate whoever suggested that having the confidence in us trying it,
But I might as well just take my bag and throw it in the water before I clear that and land one on the green.
What is it to the edge of the water?
He just finds the middle of the water.
I don't have that in the bag.
That's the hole, though, that you can just really muscle up.
And if you get a hole to one, you get down there close to the water, then it's a little chip over the water.
I'm just not trying to muscle up.
I got no interest in muscling up.
I'm a short game guy.
I'll meet y'all up there, and we'll see who gets in the hole first.
859-9-2-80-2-287's our phone number, our Clark's Puppen Shop phone number.
We got anybody else on hold, Matt?
Kyle, go ahead, Kyle.
Hey, guys.
Enjoying the summer shows and the random topics.
I have a random celebrity encounter.
I don't know if y'all would know him or not.
He's a celebrity chef, Robert Irvin, the guy, big bulky, muscular-looking guy.
Shannon, Mike, knowing he's married to a female wrestler, Gail Kim.
Oh, okay.
I don't recognize them just by name.
I have to look him up and see if I recognize his face.
But okay, what was the interaction?
All right, so two years ago, me and my wife were in Vegas renewing our wedding vows.
And we were, I believe the hotel we were at was the Rio, I think.
That's where we stayed.
I think that's where we saw him.
But we were just sitting at the slot machines, and, like, right next to where we were sitting
is, like, kind of the hotel restaurant and bar.
and he was just like standing there with like a couple other guys
and I pointed him out to her and I said look I mean we watch
Food Network stuff all the time and she said oh that's Robert Irvin
I said you should go up and say hi to him and she said no I'm not going to do that
so I'm me being me I just walked up to him and said you know Robert you know don't
want to bother you or anything like that I'm a wife as a big fan would you mind
take it a picture and he said no sure and he waved her over
uh talk with us for like five or ten minutes took pictures I mean
Couldn't have been a nicer guy, but, like, you know, totally random encounter,
but, I mean, he was a really nice guy.
I appreciate it, man.
Thanks for the phone call.
Most people are nice.
Most people you don't get the, oh, play, and turn to Walker.
You usually don't get that.
Or the, I'm the Cole Swindell.
So, all right, this segment is sponsored by our friends at Draft Kings.
Of course, for all your betting needs, you want to go to Draft Kings.
And the KSR Parlay, I think, needs to make a return tomorrow night for game three, young Drew.
Do you feel good about it?
out of KSR parlay for tomorrow night, game three between the Celtics and the Mavs?
Well, I didn't watch any of game two.
I was at Kentucky basketball game, yeah.
No regrets there, but I do feel a little out of touch with how the series is gone.
Having only seen one game, can we maybe group efforted a little?
Yeah, sure.
I haven't committed to anything, is basically my point.
And it's the Celtics guy, so Shannon, what do you think?
I mean, they obviously dominated.
Game two, it looked, I guess Dallas was in it a little at the end.
I never really had a chance.
Yeah, I would like to start with.
Porzingis. Now, I'll give you guys the option here.
We can go over on points or over on rebounds.
His over points would be, its line, is 13 and a half.
So do we like Porzingis to get 14 points, or do we like him to get six rebounds?
Now, did he re-injure his leg?
I think he's good.
I think he's good to go.
I think he's okay now.
I saw him limping a little bit in the game.
He wasn't limping at the end of the game.
Is it re-injured?
I haven't heard.
That's just a swag.
I like you swag.
That's the pep limp.
Okay.
Pick something.
We'll all pick something, and Drew can kind of formulate it and see if it'll work out.
I'll put it together and we'll get something official.
But let's just hit you're liking Percingus.
Yes.
Yeah, we can go either points or rebounds.
I like the rebounds.
I like the rebounds.
Okay, let's go Pursingas.
Rebounds over five and a half.
I like Drew Holiday.
Whatever assists he has, I go the over.
He's been the over-on-assist like five games in a row.
The dude is playing great.
Everybody, you know, Jason Tatum and Jalen Brown gets all the,
The highlights, the shine, yeah, but Holiday's the guy that's been the star.
He's the glue guy.
Yeah.
Holiday was one of our, with assists, was one of our hits on game one.
That's why I was very happy with that.
I'm trying to build.
Chris Stapps is down a 13 and a half.
I'm going to get in a point there.
Or we were doing rebounds?
You said rebounds, didn't you?
I'd go rebounds, but he could score it too.
All right, well, we got two player props.
Do we like the Mavs or the Celtics?
You and Mario and Billy can pick the rest of it.
I mean, Boston's not going to go up 3-0, are they?
No, they're not.
Dallas is a two-point favorite.
Or the over-under is 2-13.
The under has hit the first two games.
After the over-hit a lot through the conference finals,
the unders hit the first two games.
But does that bring down the over-under total because of that?
Do they factor that into now?
Maybe we take the over because the under's hit the last two times?
What about PJ Washington?
No.
Is that home, though?
He's at home?
Come on.
He's gone cold, so that means he's due.
No, I'd rather take his points than his threes.
And, you know, Luca has hit the under on his point.
It's like 32 and a half last game or something, and he was under.
Well, I mean, I'll leave it up to you, Drew.
I mean, I wouldn't do it, but, I mean, if you look at it like this, I guess he's due.
He was over on threes in the first game.
I think he went one for five in game two.
So I'll leave that up to you.
That's your pick.
Well, nothing will be final until I send it in and get approval,
but it sounds like we're going to go a little Porzengis,
a little Drew Holiday.
Yeah.
I kind of like the over.
Do you know I like the over?
Yeah.
on this game.
You think Dallas is going to have a better offensive game than they've had.
Nobody likes to root for the under.
Just sitting there saying this, that's horrible.
Yeah.
Go over.
We'll have the official parlay soon, but that's draft king's looking ahead to game three.
Do you have to read that too?
I do.
You know, we're this close to count and crowning an NBA champion.
Are we?
That's amazing.

Final segment, Kentucky Sports Radio.
Ryan, Drew, Shannon, Billy, Mario.
We're at the Heritage Hill Golf Club in Shepherdsville,
Bullitt County for the second stop on our KSR pop-up business summer tour.
We really appreciate Heritage Hill Golf Club having us out here
and hosting us for the day.
So if you're out here in the area,
if you're looking for a new course to play,
why not try it out?
Beautiful course, beautiful layout just south of Louisville.
So we encourage everyone to come out here.
You heard Drew talk about the KSR parlay.
Well, after we win all this money,
you may have an extra money when put a down payment on a house.
That's what I would do.
Okay, yeah, sure, of course.
I would love to do that.
I would just take all that money, put it on a down payment on a house,
and I'd get my mortgage through Stockton Mortgage.
That's what I was thinking about doing.
That's what I would do.
Stockton Mortgages are great people to work with.
It's a great time to buy.
Shannon, the dude just bought a house.
I did.
Yes.
Congratulations to you, by the way, just closed last week.
Moving back home to Bullitt County.
Back home to Bullock County.
That's right.
Can't escape the place.
It just keeps drawing me back in, you know.
I tried to get away for a while.
Do you get to take your fountain thing with you?
You know, I've been trying to figure out if I could get anybody to do, you know, to take it apart, brick by brick.
It is a piece of local history.
It is.
I really want to bring it to the new house, but I can't, if anybody listening is like a mason or, like, you know, take apart this brick fountain and transport it back to my new house, I would love to have it, but I just, I don't have the ability to do it myself.
I'm just not good at, well, anything.
Anything when it comes to building it with your hands.
But if there's anybody listening, I don't know.
Maybe I can hook you up with like, I don't know.
What do you want tickets?
You want some tickets to something?
Alice Bluegown T-shirt.
Yeah.
Here we go.
I don't know what I can offer you, but I would like to have it moved if there is anybody listening.
But anyway, Stockton Mortgage.
Stockton Mortgage.
They can help you with your mortgage, all your mortgage needs,
but it's a refinance or a purchase of a new home.
Stockton Mortgage can help you.
NMLS 8259 Equal Housing Lender.
You can apply online at Stockton.
Hit the button there.
It says get started.
All right, 859-2802-287.
That's our phone number.
If you want to call and get on board here real quick before we get out of here.
Do we got to call her, Matt?
Food what?
Food face.
Food face?
Food face.
What a name.
Is this Food Face?
Sounds like the call of the day.
Hey, Ryan.
It is the call of the day.
Drew, that's a great idea.
This could be our Kentucky, Brandon, call of the day.
I love the name.
Let's hear you, Food Face.
Go ahead, Food Face.
Hey, guys.
I wanted to tell you about my interaction with some Hollywood stars.
I got to meet Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy when they were dating at a vaccine event and got to hug them both.
He is a gangly, gangly guy, and she, who, they are real and they're spectacular.
Okay.
Very good.
We'll just take your word for it there on that one.
He's a what guy?
Food face.
Can we take back all of the day?
Well, we'll try to get another one.
Of course, you know, this show is always sponsored by the Kentucky Office of Highway Safety.
They're presenting partner of our business tour.
That's the second mention on the show.
Okay, we got it.
859-2-802-287.
We've got time for one more, Matt.
We can give another call of the day.
Sam, go ahead, Sam.
Be our call of the day.
Our Kentucky-branded call of the day.
The bar is low.
You can't screw this up, Sam.
Well, I'm going to go ahead and say, guys, that this is the most famous celebrity that you all have talked about today.
All right.
So I was a server at Cracker Barrel in 07 over on Newtown Pipe,
and all of a sudden a group of 10 people come in waiting the way as O.J. Simpson.
This was in May of 2007.
This happened four days before he was kicked out of Jeff Freebeats and Louisville.
And he actually was a pretty nice guy, considered.
And I actually shook his hand, which I actually kind of regretted at that point.
But, you know, I think that that's probably the most famous person that you all had on today.
So I just wanted to share that.
Nice guy.
You know, so I appreciate it.
We love to stuff.
Appreciate it.
Hopefully, thank you very much.
Hopefully had a butter knife, not a stick knife.
Your Spider-Man costume was just delivered to KS Bar and Grill.
Nice.
All right.
Yeah.
Good forward to it.
So it is there.
Tomorrow night.
We welcome everybody to come out to KS Bar tomorrow morning.
It's Drew's birthday.
You don't know this.
We have a special drink special.
in your honor tomorrow for your birthday
Oh, I have to go. I have to be on the show.
You have to be on the show.
I thought I got the day off.
No.
Right.
You're working on the birthday.
And then tomorrow night is Marvel trivia
with Shannon the Dude at KS Bar at 7 o'clock.
Shannon's will be in Spider-Man costume.
Thursday, we're at the Lex Hotel.
It's our only live show we've got Lexington all summer on this KSR summer pop-up tour,
so come on out and see us out there.
And then Friday, the Shannon the Dude Beer, Shannon the Dude Brew.
Yes.
Tap takeover at KS. Bar-Dow.
Tap takeover with Country Boy.
brewing. It starts at 6 o'clock on Friday.
Well, we've all had a celebrity interaction out here.
We didn't even know it. That's Ethan.
Ethan is a Spanish Mastiff.
They're making a movie about
Ethan, how he went from being abused
dog to now where he has
sponsored a bill that will change a law
in Kentucky to make a pet abuse
a felony. So that is
Ethan, and they're making a movie about him, and he's
right there. How about that? Beautiful dog.
How he came up? Asked for a picture.
Well, he didn't ask for a picture.
And he's just sat in front of the table and didn't
It didn't move.
Just like he'd smile for a file.
And smiled and drooled and looked happy for his pictures.
Got his a little treat.
So we'll tweet out a picture of Ethan here in a little bit so you can see what he looks like.
It's a beautiful dog.
Thank you very much to the Heritage Hill Golf Course.
We can't thank you enough for having us out here.
Come on out and play the course.
It's a beautiful course.
You'll enjoy every second of it.
And this has been Kentucky Sports Radio.
Another podcast from some SNL late night comedy guy, not quite.
Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman,
help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, S&L's Mikey Day and head writer, Streeter Seidel,
help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.

Last night, a blown call changed a game.
This morning, the internet lost its mind, and nobody's telling you exactly what happened.
That's where Sports Slice comes in.
I'm Timbo, and every episode we're cutting through the noise,
breaking down the biggest moments in sports and giving you the real story behind the headline.
And we're going straight to the source, the athletes themselves.
Their locker room stories, their reactions in the moment, and the stuff nobody gets to hear.

And on my podcast, The Cliverts Show, I'm bringing you comments.
conversations about all kinds of stuff.
Like being an internet famous referee.
We're in the middle of a game.
This linebacker, this linebacker walks up to me, he goes,
hey, ref, my mom wants you to wave at her.
What?
Quarterback on office blue 42.
Hey, ref, my mama want you to wave at her.
What?
Where's she at?
Hey, Miss Parker.
