Starting point is 00:00:00 Another podcast from some SNL late-night comedy guy, not quite. Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and Friends. Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier. This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer, Streeter Seidel, help an a cappella band with their between songs banter. Where does your group perform? We do some retirement homes. Those people are starving for banter.
Starting point is 00:00:23 Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and Friends on the I-Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Last night, a blown call changed a game. This is Clivert Taylor the 4th. And on my podcast, The Cliverts show, I'm bringing you conversations about all kinds of stuff. Like being an internet famous referee.
Starting point is 00:01:14 We're in the middle of a game. This linebacker, this linebacker walks up to me. He goes, hey, ref, my mom wants you to wave at her. What? Time out. Quarterback on office blue 42. A rep. My mama want you to wave at her.
Starting point is 00:01:30 What? Where's she at? Hey, Miss Parker. Listen to the Clifford Show on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. Starting point is 00:02:05 Call 859-271 joke or visit Comedyoff-Broadway.com. Comedy off-Broadway. All right, good morning, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, and welcome to a live edition on another one of our KSR summer pop-op tours. And today we are in Lebanon, Kentucky at Marion County. Let's hear it from Marion County. Ryan Lemon, Drew Franklin, Shandand-Dood, and Billy R. Sports all here today. In Lebanon County, we'll tell you all about what.
Starting point is 00:02:33 Marion County in Lebanon. We'll tell you about that in just a second. But first we've got to tell you that every Kentucky Sports Radio episode is sponsored by the T.J. Smith Law Office called T.J. He'll make them pay. Before the day is over, we'll have our Don Franklin call of the day. We'll have our Kentucky branded tweet of the day. And we'll hand out our Whiskey Thief Song of the Day. And the A Vision Glass Text Machine, which I left in Lexington, but you can still text it if you want to.
Starting point is 00:02:55 502-735-3680. You're on fire today. We're a little rattled. We have you. For some reason, I keep all my show notes in my phone, like stuff we're going to talk about on the show. Nothing wrong with that. Matt has his little binder, his notebook, that he writes the show topics. I've been putting them in my phone.
Starting point is 00:03:16 Well, I show up here in Lebanon, and I'm back there talking to Patrick and Maddie and getting ready for the show. Pull my phone out, look at the notes, and they're all in German. All my notes somehow I got translated to German. Only you, man. You're a national treasure. You really are. This stuff only happens to Ryan Lemon. So how's your German?
Starting point is 00:03:34 It's not good. So do you know what we're going to talk about on the show today? No, Maddie, our sales rep spent 30 minutes back there trying to figure out how to get it translated back to English. Nobody knows. We're calling people. Mario was on there. It was a group effort, and all your show prep is now in German. Well, Ryan, luckily, there's so many games going on.
Starting point is 00:03:54 You don't need them. Sure, yeah, right. That's going on in the sports world, right? So any German speakers in Lebanon, we made your help. if you could come to Main Street and translate Ryan's notes for us. Can you not just copy and paste that into Google and go German to English? Go? Maybe. You're talking to an old guy here that has trouble copying and pasting, so we'll work on it.
Starting point is 00:04:14 But the good thing is, most of my notes survive the translation. Most of my notes are still in there. But then there's some other words in there that I can't pronounce, and I have no idea what they means. That only happens on a droid. An android, an old android. Yeah. Let's just recap. Ryan's the guy that has two phones.
Starting point is 00:04:29 One of them is at home, and the other one is in German. That's story of my life right there. I like the idea of you going off script for a show, though. I'm really looking for it. Well, let's do it. You just freestyle this whole thing. We are here in Marion County, downtown Lebanon, by the historic courthouse. When I think of Marion County, I think of three things.
Starting point is 00:04:47 I think of Maker's Mark. Boom. We've got Maker's Mark. We've got customized KSR Maker's Mark bottles for each of it. So thank you, Patrick, and Johnny Rocker back there. How cool is it your name? name is Johnny Rocker. That's a cool name.
Starting point is 00:05:01 I know. And you show up handing people bottles of makers. I mean, is it the coolest person in living? Even Mama Rocker and Daddy Rocker are here today. Nice. Okay, so I think of Maker's mark. You think of Johnny Rocker? I think of Johnny Rocker.
Starting point is 00:05:13 I also think of Ham Days. Yeah. Of course. We've had our show at Ham Days last year, and guess what, boys? We're coming back this year. All right. I love Ham Days. Coming back to Ham Days into September.
Starting point is 00:05:25 And the third thing I think about, I think of Marion County is Anthony and Michaela Epps. That's right. Guess who's going to be on the show today? I'm going to go Anthony and Michaela. Anthony and Michaela Epps at 11 o'clock. You're going to join us. Will they be speaking German when they come? No.
Starting point is 00:05:39 Probably not. So that's what I think about Lebanon. It's a great history in the city of Lebanon. You've got some time. Your research a lot. Because back in the 50s and the 60s and the 70s, Lebanon, Kentucky was like the hot spot for the country's best black musical artists. Like, I may miss one, but like Tina Turner.
Starting point is 00:05:59 James Brown Who sang Johnny be good? Chuck Barry A lot of these They came through Lebanon I think was it one called Club Cherry and the other one was the Golden Horseshoe
Starting point is 00:06:14 Are those the two clubs that used to be here They folks was it? They got it? Yeah It's nodding, yep Could you imagine James Brown just playing right down the street on Main Street? I mean How wild would that be? Somehow Lebanon got
Starting point is 00:06:25 Alice Bluegown down here That's true. Yeah, we actually started this summer concert series that's actually wrapping up with jd shelber next friday night and guess who's going to be on the show at 1130 jd shelber jd shelber yeah it all ties together it all ties together who needs notes yeah you're fine that's a loaded show well yeah the the summer concert series alice blueground kicked it off uh in may uh they've had the the country music artists here in jd shelber's going to finish it up a one week from tomorrow here in levin so good times had by all here in marion county certainly is and i like uh anytime we're in a little
Starting point is 00:06:59 I'm looking at the people's bank here. You know, we do so many shows at the bar and studio. We like to get out, but there's something about these small downtowns. I like getting in being a part of. Probably have lunch somewhere around here afterwards. I'm very excited to be here. We got a good crowd here, but I feel like they're kind of scared of us. Like, the first three rows are kind of empty,
Starting point is 00:07:15 and everybody's filled in all the seats back there. You can come up here. Like, we don't have the social distance if you want to. You can come on up here and join us. Matt would have already yelled at everyone to scoot up. Yeah. Well, before we start, we have to talk about what happened yesterday on this show. because yesterday during the law of familia meet and greet,
Starting point is 00:07:31 Drew, it may have been one of the funest shows I've ever been a part of. What did you feel like? Oh, it's in my Mount Rushmore of KSR episodes. I wanted that to last another two hours, four hours, six hours, eight hours. We could have easily done an eight-hour show with those guys there yesterday. Really, we had two players at a time. That was hard enough in itself because you want to dial in and ask questions to one. You're going back and forth.
Starting point is 00:07:52 But there are a few of them like Willie Collie Stein. We were up against a hard break. We could have done two hours with him alone. Just touched the surface of the Bahamas story. Yeah, he agreed to it. Then the hard break comes in. I wanted to talk through it. But having the Harrison twins at the same time, I mean, talking about how they haven't played together since they were at UK.
Starting point is 00:08:08 I had a list of questions for all the guys, and I got to about two of them because it was so rapid fire. And really being in that chair as they're coming out, it's kind of overwhelming, but kind of living in a UK basketball dream, too. That was a day I'm going to remember for a long time. That was so much fun. Shann, I thought of some of your best work yesterday. You know, it was great, great work. I just kind of let you guys do it. do your thing. You were out there. I would have liked to have asked a couple of questions,
Starting point is 00:08:30 but I wasn't there with them, so that's a little awkward. But I thought that Orton was great. The intensity in his voice when he talks about playing at Kentucky, you can just feel that. And I think it's cool that he's like the one guy that sort of stuck around Lexington and is helping out with the youth and the next generation of players. That did a lot for Daniel Orton's brand, I can tell you. KS. Board, there were people saying, you know, I just didn't always, wasn't always one of my favorites. There was a few rough patches with him.
Starting point is 00:08:53 And they're like, we love him now and want to hear more of him on the airwaves and want him around the program and really glad he's in Lexington doing so much for youth sports. We were asking him questions about playing with Wall and cousins, and he's like, you know, I'm trying to focus on the next generation and giving them opportunities. So Daniel Orton might have been the surprise MVP of all those interviews yesterday. And then one other thing I wanted to point out when you asked about the Harrison twins feeling underappreciated, I thought it was good to hear that they said,
Starting point is 00:09:18 we don't feel that way. I agree. I think that we thought they felt that way, and it's good to hear from them that they don't feel underappreciated for their time here. Well, Louisville's been able to have this for the last couple of years now with the TBT tournament and having these alumni come back and play. So I'm glad that it's happening in Lexington. Maybe we can do it for the many years to come. And how was the crowd?
Starting point is 00:09:35 I wasn't there out there. Did it? It was a great crowd. They were all getting their pictures taken with the guys. They were very open with getting autographs and getting pictures taken. You could just kind of feel the energy. It felt almost like a pregame show, the energy in the KS Bar yesterday. It did.
Starting point is 00:09:49 I mean, I was already excited about Friday, but I'm even more excited now after seeing them. I was really impressed to hear Not that I didn't think they'd take the TBT seriously But Nate Sistine and Kell and Grady Are acting like they're about to go play in the Final Four We had John Hood sitting at a table at KS Bar watching film Of the 305 ballers This isn't some little reunion
Starting point is 00:10:08 Where we're going to get together in high five and smile These guys are out to play some serious basketball And I'm looking forward to seeing how that product turns out together Seeing all those guys in person Just sizing them up Who looks to be like in the best in-game shape I mean obviously Nate Sistina's Yeah he was the leader I think
Starting point is 00:10:23 Who else? The guys looking good. I think they're all still playing as the thing. Some of them are overseas. Eric Blitzow, it's been two years since he was with the clippers. But he was with the Shanghai Sharks just dominating. And you think overseas, that's still a professional basketball. Willie over in Italy, like he said, with James Young.
Starting point is 00:10:39 Some practice clips came out last night of them, I guess, practicing. Yes, practicing with the current team. And Andrew Harrison was kind of putting our guard in ISO, as expected. I mean, Travis Perry. He's brand new. We're going to have a hard time guard to Andrew Harrison. But those pros looked like they were putting it on the college guys a little bit. Now, we had great feedback from listeners and people at the restaurant.
Starting point is 00:11:03 But I've got to say there was one – and I'm going to ask you guys this. I want you to be honest. There was one thing that everybody seemed to agree on that when we asked the TBT players about what was your big takeaway? How did the guys look on Mark Post's first team? Energy. And that was it. Yeah. You know, I think one guy said, well, they got some big guys.
Starting point is 00:11:21 Yep. they weren't really glowing, I think, in their remarks. How did you take that? I didn't take that as bad a lot. They've only seen them twice. I mean, they probably don't even know their names, all of them, to be honest. So I didn't expect them to just break down, oh, you know, Otega Owe, he's going to be great. I'm a great defender.
Starting point is 00:11:36 I mean, as cool as to see them together. I don't think they're out there to get scouting reports. They're out there working on their own game and only had a few interactions with them. So I didn't expect them to go in depth with any of them, really. But the energy was good to hear. Yeah, that was the takeaway. just how energetic the team is. I think that is Mark Pope's personality
Starting point is 00:11:54 kind of rubbing off on the team early in their time together. But I don't know really what I expected them to say. I mean, again, as you just said, he's pieced this team together so quickly. I think they've got to sort of grow as a team and I think they're going to be a good team once we get to the season.
Starting point is 00:12:11 But right now, I think it's too early to really have any sort of big takeaway from how the team's... And here's an angle for that. I mean, for 15 years, Calipari has just amassed talent, no matter if it was good for the team or not, position-wise. Now it's going to be different going into practicing guys that are going to fit a scheme
Starting point is 00:12:26 and then are going to have to work together a little bit older, juniors and seniors, transfer portal players. It's not just about the most talented freshmen that could have success in the NBA. So I'm sure practices probably look a lot different at the beginning. Now, we'll have a lot of fun here today, and we've got a softball team here. We're going to talk about here a little bit. Anthony and Michaela Epps are coming at 11 o'clock. J.D. Shelburne is going to call at 1130,
Starting point is 00:12:49 but we do have some sad news we have to talk about. So I like to talk about it now so we can kind of have a good time the rest of the day. UK football lost Vincent Sweet P Burns yesterday. I mean, the guy is way too young, and it hit me. It was very sad to hear that he had passed away. Sweet P became a great lineman at Kentucky, defensive lineman, ended up playing in the NFL, and he came back to Lexington and was coaching high school ball for a while, helped at Bryan Station when Craig Geese was the coach out there.
Starting point is 00:13:19 Drew, just very sad to hear that he had passed away. Yeah, 43 years old, way too young. Two-time captain for Rich Brooks' defense. I think Guy Morris is the one who recruited him here. Played on that Jared team of a shame boy. He still has the record for most consecutive games with tackles for a loss, and I think he's still third all-time for tackles for a loss. Anyone who watched him in that era, he was a menace of getting back to the quarterback
Starting point is 00:13:43 in that backfield. Third-round draft pick, I mean, just a wildcat great that died way too soon this week. And kind of along the same lines, another former Kentucky defensive lineman, Dwayne Robertson, is really having some health issues right now. So Big Blue Nation, keep him in your thoughts and prayers. And it's kind of a tough whammy. Two guys, two names, we all know and talk. They were superstars when they were here. So hopefully D. Rob will be able to pull through.
Starting point is 00:14:08 Outside of, like, the air raid, those early 2000s teams are when I really got into UK football, too. I was just kind of, I was getting into high school and learning more about football. Of course, Jared was a big part of the interest, but I vividly remember a lot about Sweet P and how good he was. So that was tough news to receive this week. So rest and peace, Sweet Pee Burns. All right, we'll take our break, come back. We'll go to the phone lines. The Clark's Puppet Shop phone line is open.
Starting point is 00:14:31 859-2-287. That's 859-280 Cats. It's also Whitley County Day. We're in Marion County, but we've got Whitley County. We've got to do it. We've got to finish up the W's before Matt comes back. We can't break the schedule or Matt will get back in Woodford County will just be the one county we never did. We can't stop it.
Starting point is 00:14:48 One 13. Marion County wants to hear about Whitley County. They want to hear about Marion County. Well, we're going to tell them about Marion County and a lot more. We come back here on Kentucky Sports Radio. Last night, a blown call changed a game. This morning, the internet lost its mind. Highlights are trending.
Starting point is 00:15:01 Opinions are flying. And nobody's telling you exactly what happened. That's where Sports Slice comes in. I'm Timbo. Every episode, we're cutting through the noise. Breaking down the plays, the controversies, and the stories behind the headlines. We go straight to the source, the athlete themselves. Their locker room stories, their reaction.
Starting point is 00:15:17 the stuff nobody gets to hear. The laughs, the drama, the triumphs, the moments that never make the highlight real. From viral moments to historic games, from buzzer beaters to controversial calls, we break it down, give you context and ask the questions everybody wants answered. SportsSlice brings you closer to the action with stories told by the people who live them. Listen to SportsSlic. On the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Starting point is 00:15:47 What's up, guys? This is Clever Taylor the 4th. And on my podcast, The Cliverts Show, I'm bringing you conversations about all kinds of stuff. Like being an internet famous referee. We're in the middle of a game. This linebacker walks up to me,
Starting point is 00:16:01 he goes, hey, ref, my mom wants you to wave at her. What? Time out. Quarterback on office blue of 42. Hey, rep, my mama want you to wave at her. What? Hey, Miss Parker. Listen to The Clifford Show on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Starting point is 00:16:30 Hey, everyone. It's Ryder Strong and Will Ferdell from PodMeets World. And now the PodMeets Twirled podcast. We're two men who were completely clueless to reality TV, who now have covered Dancing with the Stars, traitors, and we're gearing up for the season finale of Survivor. So yeah, now we're experts. I know we annoyed a lot of our listeners by our severe lack of survivor knowledge. That is the point of the show. just going to remind you. I have watched some Survivor. I obviously
Starting point is 00:16:59 haven't watched enough. Did people not like it? Like, what was... Yeah. Just because we... Yeah. We'll be recapping the big conclusion of the 50th season from the final attempts at gameplay to the desperate pleas of finalists to a bunch of ha, hoo. Ha, ha, who. Again, we are
Starting point is 00:17:15 experts. So make sure to tune into PodMeets Twirled for all our Survivor 50 takes. Listen to PodMeets Tworl on the IHeart Radio app, Apple podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. All right, welcome back. Kentucky Sports Radio live on our summer pop-up tour in Lebanon, Kentucky, Marion County. Our big thanks to the Johnny Rocker, Elder Law Office.
Starting point is 00:17:37 Big thanks for helping us to bring down here. How cool is that? Name is Johnny Rocker. And you've already got our Kentucky-branded tweet of the day about Johnny Rocker. Yeah, from Dean Glass, friend of the program. He says Johnny Rocker is the man. One of the coolest, nicest dudes I've ever met. He's a beast.
Starting point is 00:17:53 How about that? So thank you, Johnny Rocker. Lebanon tourism also helped pay for our sponsorship down here to come down. The summer concert series is going to wrap up a week from tomorrow with J.D. Shelburne. You know, every town's got their own little summer festivals, summer concerts. But it's got to be cool when you come to a town like Lebanon. And no, we saw it. We were here for Ham Days.
Starting point is 00:18:15 Yeah, yeah. We played that summer concert series back in May. They had a cool setup there. So anybody that's, you know, able to go out there, please check out J.D. next Friday night. Now, last time we were here for ham days, they asked us if we wanted to participate in the country ham biscuits eating contest. Is there any way we can get you to do that next time we're back here for ham day? You're going to let me eat a bunch of country ham biscuits? I'm in.
Starting point is 00:18:36 Okay. Free food? I'm in. I'm holding you to do that then. I don't think it's on my Lexington's secret for weight loss diet plan. We can cheat one day, really? You don't have to bring that up in your next week. We can cheat one day.
Starting point is 00:18:46 I would do it, but I don't want to just come in here and win, take the trophy back to Lexington. I'd rather someone local win. I don't want to participate. Now, all this week has been the SEC foot. Football Media Days down in. They moved it to Dallas, Texas, I guess kind of a reward for Texas joining the SEC this year. I listened to the Paul Feinbaum showing between commercial breaks when I listened to Shannon. And all they talk about was still Alabama football.
Starting point is 00:19:10 I mean, that's the only topic that all they talk about. And they talk about Nick Saban. Nick Saban is not even the coach there anymore. And they're still talking about Nick Saban. But you've got a funny story about what you know about SEC Football Media Days. Well, this morning I'm having my... my little coffee, getting ready to get in the car and head on over to Marion County. You know, just slow a little morning, got the British Open on one TV and on my computer.
Starting point is 00:19:33 I've got the SEC Morning Show with Peter Burns. Not really paying that much attention that it says up next from Kentucky Sports Radio, Nick Rosh. And I turned my head real quickly to look at that screen. And he's wearing one of those tall foam blue cowboy hats in a KSR shirt, and he's on the SEC network. Not like just the Internet. Like if you're at home with basic cable and you've got the SEC network, he is on the channel with his cowboy hat. So naturally, I thought it might be late. I had to sit through the break and see what Nick had to say.
Starting point is 00:20:01 And he continued to wear it on the set with Chris Doring and Peter Burns. He did a good job, even threw an L's down. But he had that KSR logo on. I'm thinking, we just keep that ridiculous with us wherever we go. Not to tell on Nick, but I think I'd just seen him video of him doing karaoke a few hours before that. So I don't know how much sleep he got, but that's what we do at SEC Media Days. and I think he's going to be the MVP again. He was the MVP last year in Nashville,
Starting point is 00:20:25 and I tweeted the photo, you should look it out. He looks a little bit like Lloyd Christmas and dumb and dumber while he's breaking down Kentucky football. Well, he better be sharp because it's Kentucky's day at the podium today, right? Mark Stoops, Dionne Walker, Marcus Cox, and Eric Jackson are all there to meet the media for SEC Media Days today. One more funny part about Nick, though.
Starting point is 00:20:45 As he, they go to the next segment, they bring on Randall Cobb, who was announced this morning as a new analyst for SEC Network. work. That just came out. So we'll have some big blue on all your Saturday coverage of college football. But Randall Cobb was also wearing a cowboy hat. Now, his was a normal, stylish one that looked really good on him. But I feel like Nick set the tone of the morning that everyone that follows him throughout the day on SEC has to wear that hat. But later today, Stoops is the last one to go, which I've been to this. I was going to go this year until Matt's hiatus have to be here with you all. But like the last day, everyone's gone. So Stoops and these players are going to be talking to a pretty empty room except the Kentucky people
Starting point is 00:21:21 there and maybe a few more. He is the 16th coach to speak this week, so it'll be interesting to see how that goes. Sort of slotting underneath the radar, probably a good thing for him. I don't know. How quickly do you think he'll be asked about the Texas A&M consideration for that job? Considering it's in Dallas, that may be the first or second question. Somebody down there's I think that's the best thing. Let's just ask it right off the top, clear the air and move on from there. And tell me if you agree with this, I don't know if we're going to get chesty stoops today, maybe a cautiously optimistic after back-to-back seven and six seasons. We've seen him talk about TikTok dances in the past and be really confident about his team.
Starting point is 00:21:53 Maybe we get a different Stoops today. What I'm most interested in is every team has this little photo-staged area you go to. They have them every year. But this year, it's your team logo and like a bright bar light, you know, those plug-in lights, but in front of it is a mechanical bull. And coaches have been taking pictures. They get on the mechanical bull and take a picture under their logo. I don't think there's any scenario in the world where Mark Stoops gets on that mechanical
Starting point is 00:22:17 bull, but others have done it. Yes, they have. Do you all see Mark Stoops hopping on a mechanical bull today before he does the interview? No, no, not unless he's forced to do it. If it's a thing like where every other coach has done it, then there's pressure to do it. Some have passed to let you know. Yeah, okay, then he won't do it. He may jump on it for like a picture, but he's not going to turn the thing on and see if he can go eight seconds.
Starting point is 00:22:36 I think Shane Beamer just set on all day. I think he was enjoying it. Nobody asked him. He just got on and just started riding. Well, that's the thing after Shane Beamer did it. I doubt Mark Stoops will do it. But I'll tell you what, I think if Mark Stoops got on that mechanical bull, it wouldn't throw him off.
Starting point is 00:22:50 You think he would go all eight? I think he would. All right. Could you go all eight? I have done all eight. Oh, listen to you to this guy. Oh, what? I thought I told this story before.
Starting point is 00:22:58 You have the floor. We were in, of all places, Cancun, Mexico. It was a real bull. And you go to one of these places. They got a mechanical bull. They brought out some young guys, and they brought out the old guy. Uh-huh. The old guy.
Starting point is 00:23:11 So they do, young guy, fall off. Young guy fall off. Young guy, now's my turn. Old guy. Everybody's laughing. I said, I told myself. There's no way. No way I'm falling off.
Starting point is 00:23:21 Held on. I was hanging on sideways, but it did not throw me out. Well, it all goes down to the guy controlling the mechanical bull, right? I mean, he could go easy on you if you wanted to. He went hard. Yeah, there's no doubt he was going hard. How sideways were you before you got on the bowl? Well, probably a little of both.
Starting point is 00:23:36 Not evened you out. Yeah, I probably did. 859-2802-287. That's our Clark's Pubbache phone number. If you want to call and get on board, we'll get you on. We got Whitley County. And we're going to move Whitley County up to 1030 because we've got all our guests and things coming on in the 11 o'clock hour. But before we go to break, I do want to talk about one more thing.
Starting point is 00:23:53 Do you remember about maybe a month ago we talked about the kid who was the Gatorade player, high school baseball player of the year, Taylor Penn from Woodford County? And I said, I used to coach his brother. And he would come to practice, and I let him work out with this. And he filled ground balls and he was like five years old. He got drafted yesterday by the Pittsburgh Pirates. Oh, that's awesome. That's awesome. 20th round by the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Starting point is 00:24:18 So it's kind of cool to see Little Taylor Pin. Well, he's not little anymore. But now he's got to decide between pitching for the hilltoppers or go play pro for the pirates. Yeah, and it's got to make you feel old when you see guys. Matt has the same thing where he has pictures with little kids at remotes when KSR started, and then they come back to them as 21-year-old in college now. You know, you blink and that time goes pretty quickly. Well, there is a 12-year-old softball team here from Marion County.
Starting point is 00:24:42 We're going to talk to them here in a little bit. Drew, we ask them to get their best talker. We'll put whoever the best talk. There's got to be one of them on the team that's a good talkers. In the dugout, you've got to get the chance going in things. Oh, yeah. They're clearly a good team. You've got to have good leadership, good communication.
Starting point is 00:24:57 I assume a lot of them are good communicators. Well, we're going to find out about that coming up in a little bit later. Now, the TBT teams play tomorrow night at 8 o'clock. Eight o'clock. Eight o'clock? Play the 305 ballers. I suspect they're going to have a decent crowd there at Rupp Arena. I think just the excitement that they've generated this week.
Starting point is 00:25:15 coming on the show yesterday. I think there'll be a good crowd there tomorrow night. I got on Ticketmaster last night to buy some tickets. I mean, there's some available, but the little graph thing looks pretty filled out, too. I think it's going to be a good turnout. I don't know how much of the arena they're using. I'm pretty sure just the lower bowl, but it's enough that you can still get in, but enough that I think it's going to be a good crowd have already sold. I'm really looking forward to it. I would think that fans would come out just out of curiosity just to be able to see the former players. Bill and I were talking on the pre-show. It seemed like the theme of the interview yesterday, unfortunately, was A lot of these guys, their time ended, unfortunately, the way they didn't want it to end,
Starting point is 00:25:50 you know, with a heartbreaking loss in the tournament. But I think that we're going to have a good crowd out there. And I have not seen the Elam ending in person, Ryan, where you just go to a set score. And we talked about that on the pre-show the other day. I guess in a blowout, it won't be exciting, but it could be. That way you're guaranteed, I guess, a buzzer-beater. Well, Drew, you said it yesterday. There's no doubt he's going to get the ball.
Starting point is 00:26:10 If they need a buzzer-beater, who's going to get it with Aaron Harrison out there. If anyone thinks of it, Aaron, then we've got a fire Tyler Ulyss. I think that's bad coaching. I said this yesterday. I'm watching, and it was even before we talked to them, I'm watching Nate Sustina and Kell and Grady. They've almost had 70 points combined in the charity game last weekend. In the six-minute practice clips we got yesterday, a lot of Nate Sistina scoring.
Starting point is 00:26:33 As Shannon said, those two guys are the hungriest. Nate Sistina was the 20-20 year, just completely had his postseason pulled out from Lundrum. He said the reason he went to Kentucky was playing a tournament, didn't get that. and then Grady was in the St. Peter's game, so I think both of those guys just want to play another game in Rupp Arena to leave on a better note. Like I told Kellan, if there's one guy I want to give a do-over, he would be one of them because he got hurt.
Starting point is 00:26:53 If he played through his injury, and then the St. Peter's game, well, we didn't need to talk about that. And we learned after that loss just what he was dealing with throughout the year and how bad that injury was. Do you think he'll be standing in a spot? Oh, man. All right, we've got to take our break. We've got a lot more coming up live.
Starting point is 00:27:09 We've got a lot more coming up live. We've got a good crowd already, so come on by. We've got a good crowd already, so come on by. We're live from Marion County. This is Kentucky Sports Radio. All right, welcome. Last night, a blown call changed a game. This morning, the internet lost its mind.
Starting point is 00:27:20 Highlights are trending, opinions are flying, and nobody's telling you exactly what happened. That's where Sports Slice comes in. I'm Timbo. Every episode, we're cutting through the noise. Breaking down the plays, the controversies, and the stories behind the headlines. We go straight to the source, the athlete themselves.
Starting point is 00:27:36 Their locker room stories, their reactions, the stuff nobody gets to hear. The laughs, the drama, the triumphs, the moments that never make the highlight real. From viral moments to historic games, from buzzer beaters to controversial calls, we break it down, give you context, and ask the questions everybody wants answered. Sports Slice brings you closer to the action with stories told by the people who live them. Listen to Sports Slice on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. And for more, follow Timbo Sliced Life 12 in the TikTok podcast network on TikTok.
Starting point is 00:28:07 What's up guys? This is Clifford Taylor the 4th. And on my podcast, The Clifford Show, I'm bringing you conversations about all kinds of stuff. Like being an internet famous referee. We're in the middle of a game. This linebacker, this linebacker walks up to me. He goes, hey, ref, my mom wants you to wave at her. What? Come on out.
Starting point is 00:28:27 Quarterback on office blue 42. Hey, rep, my mama want you to wave at her. What? Hey, Miss Parker. Listen to the Clivert show on the IHeart Radio. app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. Hey, everyone. It's Ryder Strong and Will Ferdell from PodMeets World. And now the PodMeets Twirled podcast.
Starting point is 00:28:57 We're two men who were completely clueless to reality TV, who now have covered Dancing with the Stars, Traders, and we're gearing up for the season finale of Survivor. So yeah, now we're experts. I know we annoyed a lot of our listeners by our severe lack of survivor knowledge. That is the point of the show. I'm just going to remind you. I have watched some Survivor. I obviously haven't watched enough.
Starting point is 00:29:20 Did people not like it? Like what was just because we? Yeah. We'll be recapping the big conclusion in the 50th season from the final attempts at gameplay to the desperate pleas of finalists to a bunch of ha, hoo. Ha ha, who.
Starting point is 00:29:34 Again, we are experts. So make sure to tune into PodMeets Twirled for all our Survivor 50 takes. Listen to PodMeets Twirled on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Back, Kentucky Sports Radio live from downtown Lebanon here in Marion County. Got a nice little sit up here. The sun's coming out now.
Starting point is 00:29:53 A little windy there at first, Shannon. And now we've got the sun's coming out. Feeling good out here right now. So come on out. Join us. Our thanks to the Lebanon Tourism Board who brought us out here. And of course, Johnny Elder Law Office, Johnny Rockets, who are helping us bring us out here today. We appreciate it.
Starting point is 00:30:06 Now, we started our re-countdown of the counties when Matt took off for the entire month of June and July. I don't even know that. You know Matt was off for two months? I think you say it's two months. It's actually longer because it's a weekend to August and it's a weekend to May. Yeah, it's like 10 weeks, right? Yeah. They took off.
Starting point is 00:30:21 So we decided to pick back up the county countdown, try to finally get to Woodford County. And we're close. We're very close. We are now at county number 118th, Whitley County. Now, we usually do this at 11 o'clock, but we've got to move it up to 1030. So we're county number 118, Whitley County, which has a town, Corbyn, that it has to be the only town in the state that sits in three counties. Corbyn is technically in Whitley County, Laurel County, and Knox County. We're going to give him to Whitley County.
Starting point is 00:30:51 Oh, okay. You're handing him over? We're handing Corbynardt. This could be a big controversy. Somebody had to finally make the call on it. So Ryan Limit of all people. Corbyn is in Whitley County. All right.
Starting point is 00:31:02 I hear about that. You go first. Well, I'm a big fan of the University of the Government of Winley County. Yes. And I like it because that's, I don't remember when to start a few years ago, but I like when Stoops takes the boys to practice there on their way down Tennessee. The first time they did that was when they, one of the rare times we won at Tennessee, beat the Valls, big game down there with all the pick sixes. So when I think of Whitley County,
Starting point is 00:31:22 that jumps out to me because that is such a unique thing they've done. And I love how they kind of give the mountains that on their way down. It's a little stop before we go play the vault. So my big takeaway is the University of the Cumberlands. Also want to add, I want to, I want to add to the University of Cumberland. Oh, go on. They are the 16-time national champions in archery. That was my, that was literally the sentence I was about to say. That's, that's my notes there, yeah. They're not just a little stop for Mark Stoops. This is archery country. Yes, it is. Everyone looks up to Whitley County when it comes to their bow and arrows. All right, what else you got? Well, do you know the name Eddie Setser? Heard that name?
Starting point is 00:31:56 Well, you should know it because he is from Corbyn and wrote songs for the Oak Ridge Boys. Faith Hill. Even Willie Nelson and Ray Charles had the song Seven Spanish Angels. Seven Spanish Angels. Which went to number one and he was from Corbin. Unfortunately, passed away in 2020 at the of 77, but a big contributor to country music comes from Corbyn and Whitley County. I wanted to add the archery program only started in 2012, and they have 16 national championships. Whoa. I guess there's different things you can win in. But to just start up a little over a decade ago and always be a already be a powerhouse.
Starting point is 00:32:34 That's pretty cool. Just shows how good they are. Carry on. Since you gave Corbyn to Whitley County, North Corbyn, just north of, I guess Whitley County, is home to Sanders Cafe, which is the birthplace of Kentucky Fried Chicken. It was founded there by Harland David Sanders, better known as Colonel Sanders, in 1930. So is the KFC Museum in the original restaurant? Is it not in Whitley County?
Starting point is 00:32:58 It says North Corbyn. So I guess that's left up to interpretation, but as you decreed, Corbyn is a part of Whitley County. What about North Corbyn? I'm worried you guys are going to start a fight that you're not ready to take on. I think we give North Corbyn to Whitley County. I mean, you're giving him Colonel Sanders? Yes. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 00:33:15 When you think Colonel Sanders, don't you think he's from Corbyn? Shannon and I are not a part of this. I don't know. I just think he's from Kentucky. I don't know a specific place. Tell us about the Cumberland Falls. Yeah, that's the main attraction there. It has the only moonbow in the Western Hemisphere.
Starting point is 00:33:29 What is a moon bow, Ryan? Well, tell me about it. When the mist comes off that Cumberland fall, that waterfall, and a full moon hits it just right, it creates a rainbow, and it is the only place on this side of the world where that happens. Yeah, there's only like two in the world. Yeah. The one of our side of the world is down there on Cumberland Falls.
Starting point is 00:33:47 I've been to Cumberland Falls, not for the Moombo, but during the day. And, I mean, even if you're not there to see the only Moombo in the Western Hemisphere, it's a fun place. I just get out and walk around. Do we know when the Moombo is going to happen? Oh, yeah. Or does it just kind of randomly happen. It has a schedule. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:01 Posted schedule. And it's, like, Drew said, when it has a full moon. Like, moonbo. Like, moombo.com. Yeah. I love Cumberland Falls. You can take a little raft ride that'll go right out to the edge of the falls, and you know, you feel the power of it.
Starting point is 00:34:11 Oh, that's cool. It is cool. It's very cool. When we called the 13th region games, we had a morning show there, but then we had like a seven-hour gap until we had to be back. I just went to Cumberland Falls and had a peaceful afternoon by myself. I'm interested in seeing what Ryan Lemon's German notes say about. Well, thankfully, my Whitley County notes weren't translating the German.
Starting point is 00:34:30 Corbyn and Whitley County may have the most successful athletes per capita than any city in the state. I'm saying that too. Herodzburg has to be in the conversation. Probably Herodzburg or Corby. And I'll tell you why. Corby has Frank Selvey. We're going to talk with basketball.
Starting point is 00:34:51 He has the record for most points scored in a college basketball game. He scored 100 for Furman, and he was the number one draft pick in the NBA. That's pretty good. But listen for the football talent that's come out of this town. We start with Roy Kidd. 300 wins, college football hall is named. Legend. The Bird Brothers.
Starting point is 00:35:10 Roger Bird, Jerry Bird, Calvin Bird. All three played at UK. Roger Bird and Calvin Bird played football, went on to the AFC, because they didn't have the NFL, then was AFL, CFL, AFL, AFL. And Jerry Bird played basketball at Kentucky and went to the NBA. I would argue there's not more successful three brothers in the state than the three Bird brothers. But wait, there's more. There's more.
Starting point is 00:35:34 Old players, Dan Neal played at UK, played in the NFL. George McAfee, college and pro football Hall of Fame, also born in Corby. And there's two guys playing in the NFL right now who are also born in Corbyn, Trent Taylor, receiver for the 49ers, and Jared Stidham, a quarterback for the Broncos. I mean, I just told you about 10 football players that were born in Corbyn that went on to play in professional ranks. Pretty impressive. But I'm still just kind of shocked by you just handing. over Colonel Sanders to Whitley County like that.
Starting point is 00:36:07 Just, you know, so definitively. I mean, that's a popular, that's a popular Kentucky and, Ryan. I think I've originally born in Indiana, but it made his name in Kentucky. Made his name in Kentucky, the original restaurants there. They've got the museum there. We're giving it to Whitley County because it's Whitley County Day. You all are certainly doing that. I have two non-athletes from the area.
Starting point is 00:36:27 All right. Spencer Diamond, an up-and-coming R&B artist now lives in Lexington. He's from Whitley County. Would you like to know who represents him in his musical career? Tell us that. Ramele Smooth Bradley. Really? I've seen a little Spencer Diamond around town, so I didn't know he was a Whitley County until the submission county.
Starting point is 00:36:45 Shout out to Whitley County. Yes, shout out to Spencer Diamond. And then one of my favorite people on planet Earth, I miss him every day. Daniel Dunstan, he didn't die. He's still at LX18. We just don't work there anymore. YTD, the guy who used to be on all these road trips with us, carrying the big camera for Hey, Kentucky back when we had it.
Starting point is 00:37:04 We miss working with Daniel, but he is also a Whitley County. There is nobody I would rather have me drive me around New York City than Daniel Dunstan. He is the best driver when it comes to New York traffic. And I hope one day in life on down the road, our career is aligned again. And me and Daniel are in the back of a van in the middle of nowhere one more time while Matt does U-turns. Well, speaking of driving, Matt and hubby and Sarah, I think I could tell this story. They had to rent a car in Spain. And remember Matt talked about most of them are stick shifts.
Starting point is 00:37:34 The only car they could get was a stick shift. Can you believe this? For six days, Matt let Sarah Jefferson drive him around Spain. No way. In a car. Of course, Sarah. That's not a vacation for her. That's not a vacation.
Starting point is 00:37:45 You know, Matt was riding shotgun. My man. My man. You go here. Go there. Turn here. But yes, Sarah Jefferson drive Matt and hubby around for six days because neither one of them could drive a stick shift. Well, even if you're a good driver and know how to drive a stick shift, aren't you driving on the opposite side of the road over there?
Starting point is 00:38:02 Yes. So that would definitely take some. getting used to and I would make a mistake every now and then so I can't imagine Matt being in the back seat for that those kind of mistakes I went to Ireland I landed in Dublin got straight off the plane and into a rental car and had to drive three and a half hours having never done it before and I still get anxiety thinking about that I'm pulling out of the enterprise and they're waving to me and almost get T-bone because I look the wrong way because you're supposed to look the other way well we all give a little tip of the cap and shout out to Sarah Jefferson have to go through
Starting point is 00:38:31 six days of driving Matt around Spain God bless you She deserves a vacation. All right, we are live in downtown Lebanon. It's Marion County Day here. I think it's to Lebanon tourism and Johnny Elder, Johnny Rockets. There he is. He's back there. See, he's always rocking.
Starting point is 00:38:44 He has to sit in a rocking chair because he's always rocking. That's why they call him. Johnny Rocker. Johnny Rocker. Not Johnny Rockett. Not Johnny Rockett. When we come back, we're going to visit with the Marion County Girl's softball team and find out why they're all here and wish them best luck.
Starting point is 00:38:57 We come back here. Last night, a blown call changed the game. This morning, the internet lost its mind. Highlights are trending, opinions are flying, and nobody's telling you exactly what happened. That's where Sports Slice comes in. I'm Timbo. Every episode, we're cutting through the noise. Starting point is 00:39:59 We're in the middle of a game. This linebacker... They know this kids. This linebacker whops up to me. He goes, hey, ref, my mom wants you to wave at her. What? Time out. Quarterback on office blue of 42.
Starting point is 00:40:12 Hey, ref, my mama want you to wave at her. What? Hey, Ms. Parker. Listen to the Clifford show on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. Hey, everyone. It's Ryder Strong and Will Ferdell from PodMeets World. And now the PodMeets Twitter. World Podcast.
Starting point is 00:40:39 We're two men who were completely clueless to reality TV, who now have covered Dancing with the Stars, traitors, and we're gearing up for the season finale of Survivor. Starting point is 00:41:26 wherever you get your podcasts kentucky sports radio all right welcome back kentkegee sports radio live in downtown lebanon and marion county as part of the lebanon tourism board and their summer concerts series wrapping up a week from tomorrow next Friday with J.D. Shelburne. And before we go to our special guest here, Drew, we need to clarify a couple things about Whitley County. Yes. Well, you and Billy need to clarify some. Shan, I didn't say it. But Colonel and North Corbin would be not Whitley County. It borders Tennessee. So I think you all need to give Colonel Sanders Museum back to Knox County. Yeah, give them back. So Knox County and Laurel County both lay claim to the KFC Museum.
Starting point is 00:42:08 Yeah, so. And I think it's in Corbyn, and I think Corbyn's in Whitley County, so I think Corbyn's But North Corbyn, you know, Whitley's south, it'd be hard to put North Corbyn. He's so defiant about Colonel Sanders. Just let them, no, that Whitley County doesn't get Colonel Sanders. I think Corbyn gets Colonel Sanders and Corbyn's in Whitley County. I think you're going to have a fight on your hands next time you're in Corbyn. I also forgot to mention the arena down there.
Starting point is 00:42:31 You know, we've done shows down there, we've done the 13th Region Basketball tournament down there, and ludicrous is coming in December. Luda. I mean, they've had Snoop Dog there. They're bringing all kinds of nostalgic acts. I think I might have to go see some luda. I would love to see it. Christy Ballet, our friend, and runs the arena down there.
Starting point is 00:42:51 She does a great job, so we want to give them a shout out. All right. You know, Marion County known for their basketball. Anthony Epps and Elton Scott, they won the state title in the 90s. And, of course, Michaela Epps. They won state title. Superstars. We've got some future superstars behind us right now.
Starting point is 00:43:08 This is the Marion County, 12-year-old girls' softball team, Drew, and they are state champions getting ready to go to the regional. I would say they're already superstars. How many state titles did you win? I didn't win any. I didn't win it either. So we have Eleanor Stewart here. You're the spokesperson for your team.
Starting point is 00:43:27 How good are you guys? Are you pretty good? We're really good. Oh, there you go. What makes you good? We got a lot of fighting us. We don't give up. You don't give up?
Starting point is 00:43:36 No. Now, how was it at the state tournament? Who'd you have to beat? Where was it? And how did that go? Our first game was against Fleming Neon, and we went into extra innings that game. Oh, and you're tough. See, you're tough.
Starting point is 00:43:46 You want it, yeah? All right, then what happened? Then we had to play again that day at 8, and we played North Odom. That for the championship? No, just for the bracket. Oh, just the winner's bracket. And then who'd you play in the championship? Jackson County.
Starting point is 00:44:01 Oh, and you smoked them. After the first game. Oh! second game too. So you guys are pretty tough. You had an extra inning game in game one and then you had to come from behind when after they beat you in the championship game you had to come back and beat them to win the title. Pretty good. Yeah really cool. I'm looking across at the bank and they've you know they've got the windows painted with the softball got your team name on there. What's it like just having the community kind of embrace you all? As you said, you're the stars in Marion County right now.
Starting point is 00:44:28 It's really exciting. This has this only happens when we go to state. The whole county doesn't come out just for district and now once we won state it feels really exciting just to have everybody behind our backs I see that coming up on Sunday at 4 o'clock you got a big game you're gonna be on ESPN plus that's gotta be exciting who are you playing we play Illinois Illinois that Illinois doesn't have good softball oh they're gonna stop Illinois so you guys are now Team Kentucky yes team conti and where is the the regional tournament and it's in Indiana Whitewaterapolis Whitestown yeah Whitestown yeah
Starting point is 00:45:04 Well, I know the one thing about girls softball is they have great chance, like good luck chance, motivational chance. Do you have a good one you can do for us right now? Yeah. All right, let's do it. Well, listen, best of luck to you, Eleanor, Stewart. Thank you. What position do you play? Pitcher in third base.
Starting point is 00:45:35 Oh, you're the pitcher. Do you throw a lot of heat? Yes. Okay. You got some breaking balls or anything? I have a curve ball and a drop ball. That's all you need. That's why they're moving on.
Starting point is 00:45:44 Shannon thinks he's a, he's a used to pitch in college. He thinks he's a good pitch. You think you can get him? No, no, here's the thing. Ryan thinks that he's a good hitter still at his age. Oh, yeah. Because I wasn't a hitter. You're a pitcher, he's a hitter.
Starting point is 00:45:55 I think we need some sort of like challenge where Ryan tries to hit your best pitch. There's no doubt I would miss the drop ball. I heard you got a nasty drop ball. I'm sure I would swing and miss it. Yeah. We can set it up. I'm excited to watch it on ESPN Plus.
Starting point is 00:46:11 ESPN Plus on Sunday at 4 o'clock. The team Kentucky here from here in Marion County. So give them a good luck. Round of applause, so we appreciate it. Thank you, Eleanor. We appreciate it. Good job, good job. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:46:21 Thank you, ladies. Appreciate that. So how about that? It's got to be cool for them. As I said, the downtown's all painted up. You know how communities rally behind when a team goes on and does something special, so excited for what they've already done, but looking forward to what they're going to do next. Because, you know, we are familiar with the Little League World Series for boys, baseball.
Starting point is 00:46:39 Are we? We're familiar with the baseball. Yeah, we're a little too familiar. The security? The FBI. But they had the same thing for Little League softball. They have their own division and their own World Series. I think you need to go find out where that field is.
Starting point is 00:46:57 Jump on there. Maybe run the basis. Yeah. Part of me thought about saying they need a pep talk, but I just, I don't think we're, I don't know if we need to do that. No. I don't know. It's 12-year-old softball and Ronwood Pep Talk.
Starting point is 00:47:07 Maybe sit that one out. Yeah. I've been known to scare a few young children now in the day. Clearly they don't need it. They had their own chance. They had their own chance. They had their own motivation. and ready to go.
Starting point is 00:47:16 So, all right, 859, 280, 2287. That's our garage public shop phone number. We still got Kentucky Joe on there, Ian. Is he still hanging on? All right, Kentucky Joe. Here you go, buddy. It's your chance. Okay, well, I just, actually in a half an hour,
Starting point is 00:47:34 you're going to have my buddy on there, J.D. Shelburne. That's right. You and him are good buddies. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. I've sang with him. I just tell BBN enjoys music. You can come on down there in another way.
Starting point is 00:47:47 weekend and listen to him uh he's doing the uh he's doing the uh he's doing the uh neon hallelujah tour right now he's got a big song called car and trucks right now all right well he's he's a big uk fan and uh there'll be probably a lot of uk fans here for the concert series week from tomorrow and he named his first guitar uh he named it after me kentucky In fact, it's back in 2014, he met me at Churchill. At Churchill Downes, he called me Kentucky Joe. It's the first words he said. God bless me.
Starting point is 00:48:23 Are we believe in Kentucky Joe that J.D. Shelburne named his guitar after him? I think that's the one that he smashed after his gig. Oh, no, no, Shad. All right, Joe, thanks for the call, man. We appreciate you. Shannon appreciates the call. He did anything. We're done.
Starting point is 00:48:41 because you knew what was coming. I got a song about a leavening. I think we got Robert up next. Robert's up next? All right, Robert, go ahead. Hey, how are you guys doing today? How are you doing, Robert? Better than I deserve.
Starting point is 00:48:57 This is our Robert, by the way, Ryan. Oh, it's our Robert. Root beer stand, Robert. Didn't catch that. Is the root beer stand in Whitley County? Yes, sir, yes, sir. Okay, is the KFC Museum in Whitley County? Is the KFC Museum in Whitley County?
Starting point is 00:49:10 Is the KFC Museum in Whitley County? No, it's about 10 feet away. Close enough. That's close enough. Well, you know, it all gets very complicated because even the neighborhood that I live in, I'm technically in Laurel County, but I can throw a rock and hit Laurel, Knox, Whitley.
Starting point is 00:49:35 Like, I mean, it's, you know. So Corvin just kind of claims everything. Everything and everything kind of claims Corbyn. What about the Nimrock Festival down there in Corbyn? Is it in Willey County? Yeah, yeah, greatest name festival in the state. It's Corbyn's spelled backwards. We got real creative with it.
Starting point is 00:49:55 That's my favorite festival. Anything that's in Corbyn, though, I think, needs to be Whitley County. Corbyn's in Whitley County. It should be Whitley County. So that's how I look at it, especially the root beer stand. Oh, thank you very much. But, you know, we can't forget about Williamsburg. They got a lot going on to.
Starting point is 00:50:11 And, you know, there's a lot more than just the root beer stand here in Corbyn. We've got a lot of great restaurants. If you're ever in there, yeah, please stop by. I appreciate it very much. But we got a lot of locally owned great restaurants. We got the depot down on Main Street, great steaks, great everything. We got a really cool little place called the Wrigley. You know, that's farm to table, tap room, really awesome joint.
Starting point is 00:50:36 And, you know, there's a lot to do here. in this real small community. Well, there you go. It's spoken from a true Whitley County in Root Bear Stan Robert. Appreciate to call, Robert. That counts as our Whitley County costs. We got it taken care of. Depot, we went there during one of those KSR Friday night,
Starting point is 00:50:53 the Kroger football game of the weeks. When Douglas played Corbyn down there. They had a good time there. We love all our trips to Corbyn. Now Corbyn's coming in a return trip, coming back to Douglas then this year. All right, well, take our break. We come back.
Starting point is 00:51:04 We come back at the top of the hour. I see him. Anthony Epps is here. The pride of Lebanon right there. County. We'll talk to him. McAleaps coming up. Got a lot more coming to come out and see us. We're downtown Lebanon. KSR Summer Popup Tour live from Marion County. We'll be right back. Starting point is 00:51:30 funnier. This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel, help an a cappella band with their between songs banter. Where does your group perform?
