Starting point is 00:00:00 Another podcast from some SNL late-night comedy guy, not quite. Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and Friends. Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier. This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer, Streeter Seidel, help an a cappella band with their between songs banter. Where does your group perform? We do some retirement homes. Those people are starving for banter.
Starting point is 00:00:23 Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and Friends on the I-Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Last night, a blown call changed a game. This morning, the internet lost its mind, and nobody's telling you exactly what happened. That's where SportsSlice comes in. I'm Timbo, and every episode, we're cutting through the noise, breaking down the biggest moments in sports and giving you the real story behind the headline. And we're going straight to the source, the athletes themselves, their locker room stories, their reactions in the moment, and the stuff nobody gets to hear. Listen to Sports Slice on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.

And on my podcast, The Clivert Show, I'm bringing you conversations about all kinds of stuff. Like being an internet famous referee. We're in the middle of a game. This linebacker, this linebacker walks up to me.
Starting point is 00:01:19 He goes, hey, ref, my mom wants you to wave at her. What? Time out. Quarterback on office blue with 42. A rep, my mama want you to wave at her. What? Where's she at? Hey, Miss Parker. Listen to the Clifford Show on the IHeart Radio app,

Starting point is 00:02:17 Now here's Matt Jones. All right, good morning, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls. Matthew Harper-Jones is still somewhere over in Spain or somewhere in Europe. I saw he was more soccer, more football, but I don't know where it was. He was at an empty soccer field, but he said that fell in comparison to more like he's been in these full soccer fields that's been like crazy. So look forward to hearing off his stories as we come back. Ryan Lemon, Drew Franklin, Shannon the dude here joining you on Kentucky Sports Radio. It is Wednesday, July 24th.
Starting point is 00:02:48 Fourth. So Matt will be back in about a week and a half. Monday, August 5th is his first day back on the air. We've got about a week and a half shows to go for you. As always, the next sports radio sponsored by the T.J. Smith Law. office. Call T.J. What happens, Shannon? He'll make them pay. He'll make you pay. We'll have our Don Franklin call of the day. We'll have our Kentucky branded tweet or text of the day. Our Whiskey Thief Song of the day and the Aviation Glass Text Machine is 502-735-3680. I've got Super Mario here to join us for this first segment because both you guys were down at Rupp Arena last night for the TBT La Familia Big Win last night. How was that? Oh, yeah, so much fun. This body is running on fumes, but the excitement of TBT has been. been powering me through everything. Once again, that was so much fun
Starting point is 00:03:34 last night. I was a little late getting there. I got there right before halftime, so I missed the beginning. But still, everything that was going, I mean, Aaron Harrison hitting threes and Rob, we got a James Young game winner. I can't believe more people aren't embracing it. It was a good crowd, but
Starting point is 00:03:50 I still think there should be more people get behind this. This has been so much fun for the summer basketball. My question is, Drew, where was the suit? I didn't see the suit. You know, I just posted a picture on Twitter And it just came back to me. I was like, Drew was supposed to show up with a suit. Yeah, that's right.
Starting point is 00:04:04 Well, Abby and I, it was a little warm. My suit was a little woolish. Yeah. 80-something degrees outside, so we're walking to Rupp, and I'm sweating through it. So we actually changed in the parking lot. If anyone looked outside Rupp Arena, you might have seen us changing clothes, but I decided to go with shorts and a T-shirt. Glad I did.
Starting point is 00:04:22 But, like I said, another fun night, and they're moving on. I heard that was one of the big teams in the conference. They were actually the home team last night. Yeah, they were the number one seed. Yeah, and Kentucky destroyed them. Well, yeah, they won like almost 30 points. Yes, and it didn't feel like it because there was a whole bunch of trash talking going on. You would think the Marshall guys would stop trash talking.
Starting point is 00:04:39 Yeah. They were just trash talking the whole way through, and they were down by 20 still trash talking. So that's what really was going on. There was a whole lot of trash talking. Well, they hit, what, 14 threes Kentucky did last night. I mean, how awesome is that for the fans sitting there watching the game? The Harrison's going back-to-back with threes, really, as much as you can take the roof off the place with the crowd. I'm not hitting on the crowd.
Starting point is 00:05:01 The lower bowl is pretty full, but it was just, I didn't realize how much I needed this tournament. I've kept up with it in the past. I mean, I was looking at pictures. There was a year a boogie was on the team in here. We did this show, and I went to the games, but it was nothing like what this team has been. Maybe it's filling a little bit of basketball sadness, a little void in my life. A lot of threes. Nate Sustina hit a logo three at one point.
Starting point is 00:05:24 Oh, wow. I mean, Rupp Arena was so loud. It was incredible. You had celebrity appearances. Mark Pope showed up. Jasper Johnson. Vince Morrow. Rondo.
Starting point is 00:05:34 Rondo. Marcus Lee, fresh off his marriage. Todd Lanner, fresh off his wedding. The Mark Pope came in with his three daughters, three of the four daughters, right? And I saw the video. They marched him right from the middle of the floor. That's not by accident.
Starting point is 00:05:50 That was by design. They kind of marched him across the floor in the middle, right to go to his seat. He had a lot of familiar custom-made jersey on. I said had Pope 41 on the back. Isn't it? It's all that. Yes.
Starting point is 00:05:59 And he even made a halftime speech. He did a halftime speech for the guys during halftime. Oh, I didn't see that. Said a little bit of a prayer, and then they did a little halftime speech. And Rajan Ronda was also back there. So it's just cool seeing that the different generations all come together for Lafamilia. Now, so what's next? They have to play the winner of the Louisville game tonight.
Starting point is 00:06:18 Louisville and who? Some generic name. We don't care. We just want Louisville. This letter is DRC. I think they're playing the DNC. The Democratic National Convention. Something like that.
Starting point is 00:06:29 It's some letters. But I'm, you know, I wanted Louisville to lose the other night, and they should have. They definitely cheated. Let's not get lost in that. And home cooking is why they're still in the tournament. But now that it's in front of us, I want Louisville to win. I want to beat Louisville. And the best part of that is the people on Louisville's team, what they did in their careers was they lost to Kentucky, and we can give them one more L.
Starting point is 00:06:48 Y'all want to pack your little Freedom Hall and pretend you're a basketball city once again. That's fine. We'll drive over and whoop you one more time. So I'm actually rooting for Louisville tonight because I've missed Willie Call. Polly Stein putting Montrez on the ground and staring them down. I've missed Tyler Ulyss in Louisville with a little blood down his eye, which I'm having a custom T-shirt made to wear if they win tonight. We got to see that.
Starting point is 00:07:07 So I went from what Louisville to lose to now I hope they win so it can set up that game. I mean, it puts Kentucky fans in a weird situation if we're actually pulling for Louisville to win tonight, Mario. We want them to win so we can beat them. We want them to win so we want to pick them up just to knock them back down. If Louisville does win, that game will be in Louisville? Yes. It is based on ticket sales. They've sold more tickets than we have.
Starting point is 00:07:31 Well, let's not give them credit. They treat this like it's the final four. They don't have real basketball. So this is their NCAA tournament. That's why they're so excited. They haven't seen basketball wins in years. So it's kind of not a fair fight. We've got a lot of people on summer vacation.
Starting point is 00:07:45 We just had Omaha. We got a lot of good things going on in Lexington. But this is all they have. So they've embraced it a little more with the ticket sales, which is why they're hosting. But that's fine. But if Louisville loses, would Kentucky host them?
Starting point is 00:07:59 I believe so. I'm not certain on that. We're not 100% sure, but yeah, that's most likely what it will look like. And when would this game be? When does this game potentially set to be? I think they wait and see who advances and they set times on it. Monday Tuesday is where they have the next round of week. And then, so that's the elite eight.
Starting point is 00:08:16 You win that one, then you go to the final four in Philadelphia. Philadelphia, the following. Okay, now you guys had quite the discussion. Let's just play it out. Kentucky beats Louisville. They go to the final four in Philly. It's the day after Matt shows up back on the first. the radio. Are you guys going? Can you convince him to let you go? We have to, right?
Starting point is 00:08:31 I told Mario last night I was like, I'll pay, we'll ride together. We have to. I mean, if they were to, we can't, we can't quit on them now. We've been at every minute of the, this is, this is my team. This might be my favorite sports team ever. Sorry, Titans, Braves, UK. I think Laughamilia is my favorite sports team. Well, this whole LaFamia thing comes at the perfect time. Got the momentum with Pope being here and rallying, you know, the fan base getting them all back on the same page, all feeling like we're part of it again. Then you bring all these old guys back, and we all fall in love with them again. It's like it almost like a perfect storm way it's happened.
Starting point is 00:09:06 And it's answering a lot of the questions that a lot of fans have had. Are these guys going to stick with Cal? Are they going to root, you know, are they still going to show their love for Kentucky? There's your answer. They're actually showing up for Kentucky. They're playing for Kentucky. That's why I want to see BBN show up more. You know, Drew talked about it last night.
Starting point is 00:09:22 Great atmosphere, but I know BBN can take it to another level. And what you don't see on the broadcast is when the game ends, the players are just in the crowd, signing autographs, taking selfies. Security is trying to get them to go to the locker room. And they're like, no, we're hanging out with UK fans. And that's what I really didn't expect. Not that these guys don't love the fans, but, you know, I'm sure those knees are hurting, those backs are hurting.
Starting point is 00:09:42 It's a little different atmosphere than it was when they were in college, but they will not go to the back until they've met about everyone they can. Every fan, yeah. Okay, so let's just play a little scenario out. Louisville wins. They're hosting Kentucky. next Monday at Freedom Hall. John Colla Perry shows up to root on the Law Famillion team.
Starting point is 00:10:00 I don't think that will happen. But he wouldn't come to Rupp, but he may come to Freedom Hall. The more the merrier. We're going to need fans there if that's where they have to play. We're not turning Cal down. They're his guys. He can show up. We'll take anybody.
Starting point is 00:10:14 Now, Cal doesn't sit in the front row, though. You've got to put him like row 10. Yeah. You know, Pope gets front row. Cow gets like row 10 behind in the back. And Ulyss is the best coach in the building. He has tripled our tournament wins since. He doesn't get enough, right.
Starting point is 00:10:27 Three times the wins that John Caliperi had to the 2020 in the tournament. Wow. And how about last night, you know, James Young, not in tip-top shape? You know, these guys are on the end of their careers, the older ones. Yeah. Hadn't scored a lot in the tournament. But then, just like Wichita State, they need a bucket. He might have forgotten the play.
Starting point is 00:10:44 I don't know, but he just took a three. He was defended and you get a James Young game winner. That took us back to Wichita State a little bit. It's just, it's nostalgia we didn't know we really needed. Now, Shannon, I heard you on the pre-show saying, if you hit the game-winning Elam shot, you get $1,000. Is that right? You have to have the Puma shoes on, though. If you're not wearing the Puma shoes, you don't get the $1,000 because it's sponsored by Puma.
Starting point is 00:11:06 So I was just saying, if I didn't have my Puma shoes on, and I knew that potential game-winning shot was coming up, I'd be saying, hey, somebody on the sideline, throw those shoes out here real quick. Let me switch those on. Yeah, why didn't call time out and put Puma? Everybody put Pumas on. Once they set the target score, the whole team should change. Speaking of shoes, Devin Booker couldn't be here. He's a little busy, something called the Olympics coming up.
Starting point is 00:11:25 But he has, he's got his own signature shoe now, the books. The books. Nike Book Ones. He sent the whole team, the Book Ones, including Sean Woods, walking around Big Bot. Coaches, everyone got him. So another, you know, a guy that probably wants to be here, couldn't be here. So he had Nike hook up the team. How cool is that?
Starting point is 00:11:42 Yeah, he sends everybody some of his own shoes because he wants to feel a part of it, too. I think, like, Mario, what you said, it's like these guys there, they want to come back because they feel that love, and you talk about going out getting autographs from the fans getting autographs and pictures and things. Yes, last night was almost like a, this whole tournament's like a time machine. I'll tell Drew, like we're in a time machine where we got guys from different errors coming together, just to, you know, whether you have Tal Uis being the coach. Eric Bledsoe's a lot older.
Starting point is 00:12:10 It doesn't matter. Everybody's coming together for one purpose. It's like a time machine. And I don't know if this was insulting, but a couple guys have been like, you're still here? And I'm like, yeah, right where you left me, right here. Have it move. Welcome back. So we could potentially see another Willie Montres Herald next Monday.
Starting point is 00:12:25 Bring it. Stare him down. That's a little Peyton Siva. We've got a good show for you today. Drew's got a surprise. He's going to give us here in a little bit. I brought you a gift. Brought me a gift.
Starting point is 00:12:34 How about that? Can't tell you. It's a surprise. Got a couple guys here from Lexington. One of them's got the He-Haul shirt on. That is a great shirt right there. The he-haw donkey on his shirt. Will's here.
Starting point is 00:12:45 10th region guy. Paul's here. And Phoenix is here. He's been up since 3.45 in the morning to go interview a U.K. women's assistant basketball coach here at Kentucky. Listen, if you're not following, what is it, P. Stevens KSR on Twitter, he is covering women's basketball for us. He's pretty new to the beat, but he jumped right in with the Kenny Brooks era,
Starting point is 00:13:03 and there's no one covering that team better than Phoenix. Left McLean County at 345 this morning, their time, to get here in time to interview the coach and then came here for it. So Phoenix, shout out. Phoenix, Stevens. There we go. Putting into work. All right, well, take our break.
Starting point is 00:13:18 Shannon, you got that buzzer ready. We haven't had a buzzer show also. Oh, you want to do that? Let's do the buzzer today. Okay, I'll have to dig it out. I think it's got a lot of dust on it. I'm going to have to dust it off. How many seconds we're going to give them?
Starting point is 00:13:29 20? You like 20 or 15? How about if you're from Wolf County, you get longer, though? That's a good idea. Because we need a little help. It is Wolf County Day. I said Whitley at the end of the show history as we went off and couldn't correct myself. That's okay.
Starting point is 00:13:41 That's all right. So we got Wolf County coming up later today. So, yeah, let's do a 20-second shot clock. But if you're Wolf County, oh, that's the wrong one. That's not work. Hold on. See, I've got to dust it off. It's been all summer.
Starting point is 00:13:54 We've not used it all summer. It's making different sounds now. Wolf County that will let you talk as long as you want. So we'll get to that at 11 o'clock. We'll do our Wolf County stuff. You can host the whole Wolf County segment. Well, no, you guys have to help. Don Franklin call today.
Starting point is 00:14:05 859-280-2287. That's the Clark's Publishop. Phone number. We're right back. Ryan, Drew, Shannon, and Super Mario here on Kentucky Sports Radio. Ah, there it is. There it is. Last night, a blown call changed a game.
Starting point is 00:14:15 This morning, the Internet lost its mind. Highlights are trending, opinions are flying, and nobody's telling. you exactly what happened. That's where Sports Slice comes in. I'm Timbo. Every episode, we're cutting through the noise, breaking down the plays, the controversies, and the stories behind the headlines. We go straight to the source, the athlete themselves, their locker room stories, their reactions, the stuff nobody gets to hear. The laughs, the drama, the triumphs, the moments that never make the highlight real. From viral moments to historic games,
Starting point is 00:14:43 from buzzer beaters to controversial calls, we break it down, give you context, and ask the questions everybody wants answered. Sports Slice brings you closer to the action with stories told by the people who live them. Listen to Sports Slice on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. And for more, follow Timbo Sliced Life 12 and the TikTok podcast network on TikTok.
Starting point is 00:15:04 What's up guys? This is Clivert Taylor the 4th. And on my podcast, The Cliverts Show, I'm bringing you conversations about all kinds of stuff. Like being an internet famous referee. We're in the middle of a game. This linebacker, this linebacker walks up to me, He goes, hey, ref, my mom wants you to wave at her.
Starting point is 00:15:21 What? Time out. Quarterback on office blue of 42. Hey, rep, my mama want you to wave at her. What? Hey, Miss Parker. Listen to the Clifford show on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. American soccer is about to explode.
Starting point is 00:15:48 The World Cup is coming. Ramers sending on the only store at the chip. I'm Tab. I'm Tom Boe. On our podcast, Inside American Soccer, you'll get the real storylines. I'm not worried about Policic. I'm not worried about Balagan. I'm not worried about McKinney. My only concern is what happens in the back. The biggest decisions. If you're going to look at stats and numbers, he has no shot at making this World Cup team.
Starting point is 00:16:19 And the truth about the U.S. national team. It wouldn't be a huge surprise if our team ends up in the quarterfinals or potentially a great run into the semifinals. The World Cup is almost here. Experience it all with us. Listen to Inside American Soccer with Tom Bogart and Tabramos on the iHeart radio app, Apple Podcasts, wherever you get your podcast. All right, welcome back. Kentucky Sports Radio, Ryan, Drew, Shannon, and Super Mario here. Mario was at the TBT Championship game last night. But Shannon, you remember at the end of the show yesterday in Mount Starling, by the way, big shout out to the folks in Mount Sterling. That was a good show. That was fun.
Starting point is 00:17:02 They totally took care of us. Got lunch afterwards. Good lunch. The phone shop at Irish Hills. Twink, wink, wink. Good stuff. Very, very good. They were a great host yesterday.
Starting point is 00:17:12 I mean, we love going to all of our remotes, but that had a lot going on. Yeah, I did. A lot of food, golf simulator. Both points for that. That was cool. Well, if you guys know, Drew had to be at 1 o'clock at the UK men's basketball interviews.
Starting point is 00:17:27 And again, Mount Sterling to probably 45 minutes. When we were leaving, when we were packing up the equipment, I punched it in ways. Yeah. And it said if I left at that second, I'd get there at 1255. Well, then we didn't. We had to wait on our lunch. Yeah, almost left you, to be honest. He almost did.
Starting point is 00:17:43 Now, like I said, it was worth the wait. Lunch was great. Yeah, after trying the lunch, I would have picked that over the basketball interviews. So Drew, Shannon is maybe breaking a few traffic laws. No, I wouldn't admit that. I wouldn't admit that. Certainly not. No.
Starting point is 00:17:57 He buckled up, put his phone down. It did. Definitely put the phone down. So the question we all want to know, did you make it on time? Because you had first, Marr had to drop you an eye off at our car. Dad had to get the kids home and then get over to see all the other kids. And when you dropped us off, I think you had 14 minutes, and you were on the complete east side of town, and you had to get to downtown to the Craft Center.
Starting point is 00:18:18 Did you make it? I went to open the door to the Joe Craft Center at exactly 101, which to me at basketball interviews is about 30 minutes early. and the door was locked. They had already started. I was a minute late, so I could see in there, and they were already going, so I gave a little tap. Someone came and got the door, and I couldn't help but laugh. This is a fellow media member, no one with the UK, but they said, John Caliperi over.
Starting point is 00:18:46 John Caliperia era is over, bud. We start on time. Walked on, and someone else said, you got to get used to this, one o'clock to one o'clock, with a little different era over there. But I did make it in time. We talked to Colin Chandler. Yes. I started with him.
Starting point is 00:19:01 Okay. First time meeting him. I want more interviews with that, dude. I mean, even though he's a freshman, you ask him one question. He talks for four minutes. That's just unique for someone coming to campus. First interviews are usually a little timid. I was just fascinated with everything he had to say about what he was doing overseas.
Starting point is 00:19:18 Or in England on his mission. He even said he took an inflatable basketball. He blew up so he could dribble. I guess when he was in Sierra Leone, he couldn't find. anywhere to hoop anywhere, but when he was in England, he would occasionally get some shots up. But if just hearing about how he's getting back acclimated with things, sounds like that's going well. And then Lamont Butler really enjoyed talking to him.
Starting point is 00:19:41 It's just talking season right now, but we've all heard how he stepped up as a leader and how good he looks in practice. He mentioned he missed a little bit with the toe injury. I don't think that was out there. He didn't play in the practice with LaFamilia. He did confirm they won by a 17. But it was just really great talking to him. It's clear he's the leader.
Starting point is 00:19:59 He's the guy. He and Jackson Robinson. Jackson wasn't there. Well, Montbother was just talking about how he's going out of his way to be a vocal guy early on, having the tournament experience and all that. He also talked about Travis Perry and confirmed that Travis Perry did hit 59 consecutive three-pointers from the left corner. How about that? That's a good sign.
Starting point is 00:20:19 I don't know if I could hit 59 layups in a row. You can't. I know. And then moments after that, this was a tweet that's been deleted. I don't know why they deleted, but I saw it, so I'm going to talk about it. That NOAA shooting system on the wall that keeps track of where it hit the rim, what was your art, you know, all that. They said in back-to-back days, Travis Perry went 100 for 100 from the free throw line
Starting point is 00:20:42 and 90% from 3. I mean, this is just open, you know, shooting drills, but 100 for 100 is, that's pretty good, Ryan. Didn't miss a frito. 90% from 3. That's insane shooting. And then they show, like, I don't know if you've seen that system, but it's got the little chart and it shows where the ball is going through, and if it's in the right spot, it's green,
Starting point is 00:21:00 or it might be a little orange farther out in red. It's just like he's hit them in the middle every time. It's just a green dot in the middle of the room. I like what I'm hearing. I'm like what I'm hearing. You know, that's why those people who think Travis Perry is not going to play at Kentucky, they don't know this kid, man. They don't realize how good of a shooter.
Starting point is 00:21:15 He's a score, and he's a hard worker, and he's a coach's kid, so he's smart. I can't wait to watch him play. And there's been a few other player interviews. We're going to have more tomorrow, but any time you bring up, like, who's really, standing out. You know, on a team of all these guys that have already played college basketball,
Starting point is 00:21:30 a bunch of big names, a lot of them will go straight to Travis Perry about how well he shoots the ball. Well, you know, it was about this time last year. We started hearing little rumblings that people thought Reed Shepard was going to come off the bench, like, oh no, Reed's going to play. I remember a guy told me like, oh, no, you don't understand. Reed's going to play and play a lot. I think it was his exact quote.
Starting point is 00:21:48 And look what they kind of see it, I think right now. I think Jeff Drummond, someone that was there with me asking questions, asked, you know, who's one of the better shooters? what's it like who you kicking it too? Yeah. And Lamont brother was like the whole team. All of them can shoot.
Starting point is 00:22:01 I'm feeding all of them if they're open. Funny story, since you were even on that subject, last year, Antonio Reeves, this was in July. I talked to Antonio Reeves and I said, how's the freshman? How do they look? Is anybody that really stands out to you, Reeve Shepard? Real deal. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:21 So this is just, we're starting to see that same pattern with Travis Perry. So I'm not saying he's going to be the next Reed Shepherd, but maybe he's going to have a big ear like Reed Shepherd. What about did you, Trent Noah? Did you get to talk to him yesterday? No, Brandon Garrison was the other one. I only had a minute or two with him because I looked up and I've been with the other two guys, 10 minutes each,
Starting point is 00:22:41 and you don't have all afternoon. But I mostly talked to him about TBT. He's talking about going back last night. He was there again. The big piece of news with his interview is he admitted, but was already everyone kind of knew, but he committed to Kentucky like Montezarckon's Arkansas. Like he just, he knew on the Arkansas
Starting point is 00:22:57 visit where he wanted to go. And as soon as the visit was done, committed to Kentucky, that was already kind of the timeline looked that way, but he talked a little bit about that. Yeah, he was at, like a lot of the players were there last night again
Starting point is 00:23:08 for the TBT championship. I saw, I think maybe when you tweeted something about Andrew Carr was up, standing up, cheering the whole time. I like to think that Mario and I are the two biggest TBT fans. Well, yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:18 Andrew Carr, he's up there too. He's on his feet clapping. Who else? I see, Lant Butler, Colin Chandler. I mean, most of them were there. I would say, looked to be about the whole team. The whole team. Speaking of TBT, I got some TBT news.
Starting point is 00:23:31 Oh, let's do it. So it's just been confirmed that if Louisville loses their game, it will be at Rupp Arena. It will be at Rupp Arena. Next Monday or Tuesday? Monday or Tuesday. So now do I want Louisville to lose as much as I want to? Yeah, I don't know, Drew. What are we thinking?
Starting point is 00:23:46 Sounds like a win-win situation, really. We either host the DNC here in Rupp Arena or we go to Freedom Hall and just beat Louisville and Louisville again. I kind of want to go to Freedom Hall. I don't know. It smells really bad in there. Is there any chance they would move it to the Yom Center? If the crowd of the ticket sales are big, or you think it definitely would be a three tomorrow?
Starting point is 00:24:03 I doubt it. The Yom Center doesn't want to see Louisville basketball. The Yom Center needs a break from Louisville basketball. Let the Yom Center enjoy it summer before it has to bring in astronaut Pat Kelsey this fall and start it all over again. 859-2-287. That is our Clark's Publishout phone number if you want to call and get on board. We talked a lot of football yesterday, but it is kind of nice now.
Starting point is 00:24:23 We got some basketball. It's like this summer's kind of been. little of both, whereas we're not so much focused on one thing. And it kind of feels good to talk about basketball right now. You know, last couple years in the summer's kind of been, we've had a bad taste in our mouth when it comes to talking basketball. Yeah, and it was lasagna. We were moving in silence.
Starting point is 00:24:39 We weren't having any interviews or anything. It was just like, let's hide. And the teeth, like, this is normally a slow season regardless. But this between baseball team going all the way to Omaha, you had Kenny Brooks, Pope. Now the TBT right in the middle of summer where we usually don't have anything. This has been a much busier offseason, and, you know, football has kind of slid under the radar because of that. We'd be focusing on fall camp next week if we didn't have James Young hitting game-ending shots down the street. Yeah, that's how we talked about yesterday.
Starting point is 00:25:06 Football's kind of been, it's kind of being quiet here during the summer, but I think that's the way Mark Stoop wants it or prefer it. Now, Vince, he had best seat in the house last night. Vince isn't being quiet. Vince was down there, courtside, Spike Lee seats, but that's what Vince does. But that's what's so cool about Vince, though. He's going to go support. He went to the baseball game, you know, the regional tournament. He's going to watch the TB team play.
Starting point is 00:25:27 That's where everybody loves Vince. And I got caught in a moment where I said how to Vince, and then someone handed me their camera to take a picture of them. And then I'm like, uh-oh, I just got caught in. I'm Vince's photo guy for a few minutes here because he was also very popular with the fans. Yes, he is. 859-280-2-287. That's our Clark Publishop.
Starting point is 00:25:42 Phone number. Shannon, we got any calls right now? No, lines are open. I think everybody's afraid of my buzzer. I think that's what's going on. They don't want to get buzzed. That's the good part, though. I love it when Shannon has the buzzer.
Starting point is 00:25:52 So, uh, Wolf County, we need you. Calls. Calls have been kind of slow this summer. You know, they usually are in the summer. And then Matt, since Matt's not been in a little slow, but yeah, we need some calls. We'll get to a lot of calls with the next segment as much as we can. I did see something that made me think of you last night, Shannon. Yeah, what's that?
Starting point is 00:26:06 You know, the shark problem down in Florida. Oh, yeah. All up and down the Florida panhandle. Well, now Florida's facing another big problem. Like there's, like, sinkholes. Oh, wow. From, like, the east coast to the west coast, like from Daytona Beach to Tampa. I don't say that.
Starting point is 00:26:22 Like 27,000, really, 27,000 sinkholes. Sinkholes. Sinkholes. We're like, it's open and other people are losing their car, like in their neighborhood.
Starting point is 00:26:35 This is news. I didn't know that. Like a lot of it seem to be around the Orlando area, like in the kind of central Florida. Dayton, central Florida. It's my area. Google it and it'll scare you. 27,000 sinkholes,
Starting point is 00:26:46 I think, in that stretch from coast to coast in Florida. It just makes you wonder what is going on, with the sharks. and now the sink holds. Well, I thought you were going to tell me about another story that I saw about sharks. I think it was down in Brazil where sharks got a hold of a bunch of cocaine. And now we have cocaine raging sharks that are swimming around. If you thought that sharks were scary as it was, add a little cocaine.
Starting point is 00:27:06 Now we got coked up sharks swimming around. We had cocaine bear. We got cocaine shark. Cocaine shark. Do you ever watch cocaine bear? I did. Got the t-shirt. Goodbye.
Starting point is 00:27:15 Last night, a blown call changed the game. This morning, the internet lost its mind. Highlights are trending. opinions are flying, and nobody's telling you exactly what happened. That's where Sports Slice comes in. I'm Timbo. Every episode, we're cutting through the noise. Breaking down the plays, the controversies, and the stories behind the headlines. We go straight to the source, the athlete themselves.
Starting point is 00:27:35 Their locker room stories, their reactions, the stuff nobody gets to hear. The laughs, the drama, the triumphs, the moments that never make the highlight real. From viral moments to historic games, from buzzer beaters to controversial calls, we break it down, give you context, and ask the question. questions everybody wants answered. Starting point is 00:28:07 What's up guys? This is Clivert Taylor the 4th. And on my podcast, The Cliverts Show, I'm bringing you conversations about all kinds of stuff. Like being an internet famous referee. We're in the middle of a game. This linebacker walks up to me. he goes, hey, ref, my mom wants you to wave at her. What?
Starting point is 00:28:25 Time out. Quarterback on office blue of 42. Hey, rep, my mama want you to wave at her. What? Where's she at? Hey, Miss Parker. Listen to the Clifford show on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast.
Starting point is 00:28:45 What's up, fam, Ms. Isaiah Thomas. And I'm C.J. Toledano, and our podcast Point Game is about Defon. the odds. Like LeBron heading into the playoffs without Luca and Austin Reed. And finding ways to win no matter what. He's the smartest player to ever play the game. His IQ is at a level that we've never seen before. And he knows without Luca and Austin Reeves,
Starting point is 00:29:05 I got to manipulate the game. We get a player's perspective on the challenges of the playoffs. I think Joker's going to be exhausted this series because when they don't have Rudy in the lineup, he has to really guard guys like Nas Reid. He has to guard Julius Randall. And then he has to give us everything he gives us on the night-to-night basis on offense. And when IT's friends stop by, like Quentin Richardson, we dive into some playoff history too.
Starting point is 00:29:29 Steve Nass would get that thing. That man, hell get the flying. He run up the court, licking his fingers why he got the ball. Like, after you go through a training camp with that, Isaiah, you figure it out real quick. Get your ass up and down the court, and you're going to get the ball. So listen to Point Game on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. T.J. Smith, personal injury attorney. Call T.J. He'll make them pay.
Starting point is 00:29:54 Now, more of Kentucky Sports Radio presented by Stockton Mortgage. Here's Matt Jones. You've got the cocaine bear here in Lexington stuffed, and now cocaine sharks down in. What do you say it was? Shannon, Mexico. I think, yeah. Or maybe Brazil, I don't know. But, yeah, I guess they're drug testing,
Starting point is 00:30:10 the animals in the ocean now. It's a wild story. 859-2802-287. That's our Clark's Pumpin-Shout phone number. We got the buzzer ready. You got 20 seconds. So, Shannon, who's our first caller? All right, let's go to Andy.
Starting point is 00:30:23 Andy, you got 20 seconds, Andy. Yep, this is me. Hey, if you had three questions that you could get answered, whether it be about your life or sports, but it has to be like in the future, what would those three questions be? And I'm not getting buzz. The only buzz I'm getting is one night at KSFR Friday night.
Starting point is 00:30:43 I'm out. Yeah, Friday night. Andy has already requested front row seats for the Alice Blue Gown concert here at KS Bar and Grill Friday night, Shannon. Hey, if he's not careful, we'll put them up there on stage with us. Oh, don't. You don't have to ask you twice. So what three questions do you want to know about the future?
Starting point is 00:31:04 Well. That's deep. That is deep. I would like to know if the aliens are going to show themselves while I'm still here or after I'm in the dirt. Because if I know they're coming, I'm going to get excited and get prepared. So that's one. like for someone to tell me at what point they land and say hi to us. I know when I was like Mario's age, when a kid, everybody thought by this time we would
Starting point is 00:31:29 have cars that can fly. Fly. Flying cars. We're going the wrong way. Our planes are barely flying right now. Good point. So I would maybe want to say, are we finally going to get the flying cars that we all thought for sure we were going to have when I was in high school?
Starting point is 00:31:42 I'm guessing, speaking of cars, I'm guessing in the future we'll have self-driving cars. That's probably the next thing that's up. Or the flying cars. Tom Hart said he took one. We already have them. Yeah, they're already here. That's here. How long do you think Kentucky Sports Radio lasts as a radio show?
Starting point is 00:31:58 Well, y'all would want to know that for the future. That's a great question. I think you have a big impact on that. Mr. Lemon? Yeah, that's what you tell us. Yeah, we want to know how long Ryan's going to stick with this gig. I'm the youngest. I'm the youngest.
Starting point is 00:32:10 I'm the youngest. I'm the youngest. You and Mario can carry the torch. Yeah, excuse me, Mario's the youngest. Yeah. What about sports questions? Will Mark Pope win a title as a head coach of Kentucky? That might be one.
Starting point is 00:32:22 Why is that? Because if he's not, we can just go ahead and get rid of him now. What's the point in that? Well, good point. Will Mark Stoops get Kentucky football to the playoffs? Yeah. I feel like we might be wasting that question. It might just be a no, but that's one we'll work with.
Starting point is 00:32:40 Don't you want to know some deeper things? Like when you're going to die? Yeah, I was going to say that. How much time do I have? No, I don't want to know that. I don't want to know. Would that freak you out, Ryan? Yeah, I don't want to know when that's happening.
Starting point is 00:32:54 Yeah, just live life every day, man, and be happy. But if you knew, you could really get after it. But then you're like dreading it. You're like, you know that day's coming as it gets closer to that final week. Ten more days. Ten more days. It'd be awful. I would prefer that the answer be longer than ten more days.
Starting point is 00:33:09 But if you did know, I mean, think of all the things you'd want to work in, all the people you'd want to see, have these last moments with people. you'd have a long checklist to get to. Do any of you guys want to ask about how many kids you're going to have? See, I would ask about grandkids. I'm going to my age when I'm about to get grandkids. You'd think about how many children am I going to have? What are they going to be like?
Starting point is 00:33:29 I mean, I feel like that's something that we can all control. I'm just Shannon. Like, I want to know secrets. Yeah. Like you can control how many kids you have. Are you going to ask what's for lunch today? Yeah. I feel like you're very short-sighted in this exercise.
Starting point is 00:33:42 You get three questions. You can control that, right? Yeah, those are three questions. get into the future and you just want to know those types of things. Will we still exist as a planet? That's a good one. It's a deep question, man. Yeah, let's get the answers.
Starting point is 00:33:56 Are sharks taking over the world right now? That's a good one. When will the cocaine sharks be here? You've got to get prepared. 859-2802-287. Clark's puppet shop phone number. Who's next, Shannon? Brad.
Starting point is 00:34:08 Brad, you got 20 seconds. I want to know in the past, it would take a coach three to four years before he could build up in program. And this year, basically, Coach Pope has been able to go through free agency to create the exact team with the exact style he wants to play. How excited for you are that? And the second question is, how do we bring back the Thorough Blades? Oh, yes, great question. You know what the Thoroughblades are, Mario?
Starting point is 00:34:33 No, what is that? We had like a AAA hockey team in Rupp Arena called the Kentucky Thorough Blades, and they played it Rupp, and it was so much fun. It was awesome. We were the AAA team for the San Jose Sharks. When was this? late 90s, early 2000s. And they were good? They were very good.
Starting point is 00:34:50 Yeah, they won a championship, I think, when you, we had the Hershey Bears. That was the name of our big rival. Did you used to go? Were you in Lexington yet? I wasn't in Lexington yet. I never actually went to a game, but I feel like I think my dad went, maybe brought me something. That logo and that T-shirt are incredible.
Starting point is 00:35:07 It was like the horse on skates and stick. They were they purple and green. It was awesome. And maybe it would get good crowds, but it would cost so much to rent Rupp Arena, I think they just couldn't financially keep the team here. So they left. What was his first question? Oh, about Mark Pope getting three years to rebuild.
Starting point is 00:35:27 And the fact he's done it so quickly with the transfer portal. Well, that's the good part about the transfer portal. You don't have to start from nothing. You can go out and get players. Pat Kelsey's done the same thing at Louisville. When you're starting over, you've got that option now. You can get players like he said, like free agency. Cal did it at Arkansas.
Starting point is 00:35:42 The game's changed. I mean, I know a lot of people don't like it that way. I don't necessarily love it either, but it's come down to how much money you got in the bank. That's how you build your roster. Number one player in the country, I mean, he's looking at BYU. There's talks of like $4 or $5 million for that guy.
Starting point is 00:35:58 Goodness. Yeah. But I mean, who, you no longer are talking about, here's what we have on campus, here's what we're going to fit in. It's just, where's my check? It's free agency like in the NFL. It's like the NBA. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:12 It's the same thing. But that's why it's good to have a coach that maybe isn't as good recruiting because they can make up for it with the money, but when you have them, they have a good system, whereas other coaches who were the best recruiters, the playing field much more level because the tactics they were using,
Starting point is 00:36:25 that's out of the window. Everybody's got money now, or at least that's how they're recruiting. So do we get a little more, is the honeymoon a little shorter, knowing that you can rebuild a team faster? What do you mean by the... For coaches?
Starting point is 00:36:38 Like does... Oh, you mean you can be quicker to... Yeah, kind of move on if after two years they're stinking. because they can't get anybody in the transfer portal. It certainly changed things. I mean, if Cal had left four or five years ago and Pope stepped in with one player, it would have been a long rebuild.
Starting point is 00:36:55 You're right about this. You'd have to get whatever freshmen are left. And if you wanted transfers, they'd have to sit out a year. You'd have to go get a grad transfer. You couldn't do what he just did. Just go out and get guys that are able to play immediately. Build the roster. Build the roster.
Starting point is 00:37:09 Definitely agree. I have to say transfer portal changes a lot of things, especially for Pope. Yeah. And new coaches, you get to see. It's almost like a free agency in the NBA. You go to wherever you want to play for. You want to play for this type of coach?
Starting point is 00:37:21 You can go there. They can save the coach. Yes. You can save somebody that needs to go out and get players. All right, Shannon. 859-2-80-2-287. Who's next? John.
Starting point is 00:37:29 John, you got 20 seconds. Go. Hey, guys. I just want to say, you're done great with the summer show that's been really entertaining. I want to ask, if you go to Waffle House, what is your top item to get at Waffle House? John, you're killing it.
Starting point is 00:37:43 John, that's the best question. That is our Don Franklin call today right there. What's your go-to at Waffle House? Drew, you can go first. What is it called? The thing? The All-Star? All-Star Special.
Starting point is 00:37:57 Yeah, All-Star Special. Yeah. All-Star Special. Really? I get the waffles. You got to put the little chocolate chips on there. Eggs scrambled cheesy eggs. Yes, cheesy eggs are good there.
Starting point is 00:38:08 Hash browns with some ketchup on it. Can't go wrong. My thing is, though, when there's choices, I say both. Begand or sauce? Yep. Yes. Grits or hash browns, yep. Yes, both.
Starting point is 00:38:18 Just everything you're offering, put that on the plate too. Yep. Shannon, what's yours? Bacon, egg and cheese on Texas toast. Oh, that's one. Hashbrowns, extra pickles, hot sauce. Got to have that. Tobasca sauce.
Starting point is 00:38:28 Every time, again, cheese every time, too, Shannon. Josiah is with you on that. Yep. Here's the go-to. A hash-brown bowl with scrambled eggs and bacon and cheese. And then you can get white gravy put on top of it. Is that a cheat day? It's a major cheat day.
Starting point is 00:38:43 But it is so. good. So if you don't eat anything the rest of the day, you can have that one meal. It's a hash brown bowl, bacon, egg, and cheese, but you want white gravy on top. Mercy. That's perfect. I need a good nap after that. I have a good KS. Board comment of the day. Okay, go ahead.
Starting point is 00:38:59 Sponsored by Phoenix Stevens. Phoenix Stevens. It's the Phoenix Stevens chaos board comment of the day. Running, running, gunning, 454 says he would ask the question, not when, but where you're going to die and just completely stay in the hell of from wherever they say. That is our Kentucky branded tweet of the day. That's a good point. Yeah, if you knew where, just don't ever go.
Starting point is 00:39:21 I had a friend go to a palm reader or a fortune teller, and they told him you're going to die in a NASCAR race. He didn't watch NASCAR. He's like, well, that's stupid. And then about a month later, we get a group text. One of our friends had his bachelor party at Talladega. And he was like, oh, no. So we watched him the whole, we didn't let him out of our site.
Starting point is 00:39:39 Luckily, he made it out of there. But to go from that fortune and then get invited to a race a month later. I wouldn't go. I would not go. I wouldn't, I wouldn't. You wouldn't take the chance. You wouldn't test fate. No way, Jose am I going to Talladega?
Starting point is 00:39:52 He somehow made it out of their life. It was hard on all of this. 859-2-2-287. If you want to call, Shannon's got the buzzer ready. We'll take your calls as well. And Drew has a surprise present to give us at some point today. I don't know what's in this bag right you got right here. I've had it.
Starting point is 00:40:06 It's kind of a, you know, you're in charge of decorating KS. Bar and you've been in charge of driving the show, and you've been so good with sending topics. He did it again, Mario. We get it every night. You've hung stuff up here. I just, I brought a little something. I was going to save it for next week. But I'm, you know, I went ahead and hadn't brought it over. So we'll open it. Well, I can't wait to see what that is. Nice and wrapped. Is Hallie Berry in there? Hallie Berry is not in there. I certainly would not bring her near you. But it is a gift that I think KS. Barr might enjoy. You might enjoy it. Okay. If you listen to KSR back in March, I told you I was going to get it. Oh, I know what's in there. I know what's in that. Did I give it away? I think maybe I know now. Okay, well, then run then.
Starting point is 00:40:44 I'll keep it to myself. But you mentioned that if Halle Berry's not in that bag, can you tell the Ty Wynard story? Well, now you put me on the spot. You think about it. Well, take our break and you think about it because that reminded me of the Thai Wynard story. We're right back.
Starting point is 00:40:59 It did too. Kentucky Sports Radio. Last night, a blown call changed a game. This morning, the internet lost its mind. Highlights are trending, opinions are flying, and nobody's telling you exactly what happened. That's where Sports Slice comes in. I'm Timbo.

Get your ass up and down the court, and you're going to get the ball. So listen to Point Game on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. All right, welcome back, Kentucky Sports Radio. This Wednesday edition, Ryan Drew Shannon, joined by Super Mario here in our first segment. Good to have you back on there, a little man. It's always fun.
Starting point is 00:43:47 859-2-80-2-287. That's our phone number if you want to call and get on board. Shannon's got the buzzer ready. And Shane, you better get ready for the next guy. I feel like it's coming. You think so? I don't know if he can get it in 20 seconds. Mark Anthony, can you do it in 20 seconds?
Starting point is 00:43:59 Bellers, I'm on try. First of all, my question, will Mario or Shannon marry first? And there's something wrong with the broadcast, Ryan, because I swore I heard Drew Franklin say, I want Louisville to win. and that can't be right. So you might want to reset your equipment. Appreciate the time.
Starting point is 00:44:18 Thank you, brother. He got it in 20 seconds. He did it. He did it. Good for him. Good for Mark Anthony. You did say that. You went Louisville to win.
Starting point is 00:44:25 It does feel weird to say that. It feels weird to want that to happen. But I'm looking at big picture, and I'm looking at LaFamia going into their turf and winning by about 25. That's what we want. We always love beating up on Louisville. So that's why I'm saying it. So the other question, who will get married first?
Starting point is 00:44:41 Shannon or Super Mario? Mario. Shannon. You tell me the one of us are right. You both have long-term lady, long-time lady friends. Shane's got a few years on Mario. Yeah. Well, Ryan, you got a few years on me.
Starting point is 00:44:56 So what about you? Why aren't Ryan in this equation? Why is Mario? I've done this a couple times already. It didn't work out so well for me. Yeah, that means you're a pro. This is going to be another one of our... Run us how quickly changes the subject.
Starting point is 00:45:09 Kentucky branded tweet of the day. Shannon is a few. you. Yeah. I'm in Fort Myers, Florida. They showed a video of 10,000 sharks eating a gigantic school of fish in the Gulf of Mexico. Cocaine, man. I'm telling you.
Starting point is 00:45:24 I don't know what. Everybody keeps saying it's global warming. Sharknato. Food supply. I've heard so many different excuses of what's going on down there, but it scares me a little bit. Yeah. I would stay out of the water if I were in Florida. Probably a smart move.
Starting point is 00:45:38 I don't know if it's any better inland, though, in Florida. I get into the water to get out of. Florida. That's true. Yeah. So I don't know. Maybe just found a new area. Sorry, Mario. I know you love it there. We had another question say, where is Tom Hart today? Tom's on a family vacation, I believe, this week, right? Isn't that what it is? That's why he's not here for Wednesday.
Starting point is 00:45:54 Yeah, this is summer vacation for people who work in sports, so if, you know, we're not going to make him do a KSR show and he can be hanging out with the family. All right, here's another question from the A-Vision Glass Text Machine, 502, 735-3680. I would want to know what is the biggest sports upset in the next five years so you can hammer it.
Starting point is 00:46:12 what would you think would be a major upset potentially going to happen in the next five years? How about in the next four and a half months? We call it five months. Kentucky wins at Austin. That sounds fun. That's a good upset right there. Let's just go ahead and do that. Get that out of the way.
Starting point is 00:46:28 I'm going to piggyback that. I'm going to say in the next four and a half months, Frederick Douglas High School wins the 6A state championship. Football. Okay. All right. Yeah. Upset Trinity in the championship game. How about that?
Starting point is 00:46:37 Maybe we should save this show for those two predictions. See, Drew's is a good one because if you know, you're going to have an upset, don't you want to be at that game? Oh, yeah. So if you know that's going to happen, then let's go. There's nothing better than winning an upset on an opponent's home field. There's no doubt about it. That is awesome.
Starting point is 00:46:54 Especially if it can be a team like Texas who's going to be one of the best in the country. It's their first SEC game, and they talk all this noise about how they're just going to come in and run the conference. And if you lose to preseason number 11, Kentucky, on your own turf, then you're going to know your place in the SEC. Do you got an upset you're going to call, Marie? I do not. I don't have one. Indiana Pacers win the NBA title. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:16 They'll say as long as Kentucky, they've been on the wrong side of some upsets in the past few years. That's true. It's not Kentucky on the wrong side of it. All right, here's a question for you guys on the aviation glass text machine. A cowboy rides into town on Friday. I got to pay attention. Stays two nights. Okay.
Starting point is 00:47:31 Then rides out on Friday. How did he do that? The horse's name's Friday. There we go. Very good. Drew Franklin. Good job, Jer. Very good.
Starting point is 00:47:39 That is that Madisonville Community College Education. where you're right there. That's what I was studying. We do need to bring up a sad note. We wanted to talk about this yesterday. We were a live show, so it just didn't feel right. But Todd Spavoda, maybe one of the most popular walk-ons in the history of UK basketball. He played basketball at Northern Kentucky University.
Starting point is 00:48:04 Northern Kentucky didn't have the classes he needed for his master's, I believe it was. So he transferred to Kentucky to be on one of Rick Petino's first teams when he had to a lot of walk-ons and he became the walk-on and it just became a crowd favorite you know uh he hit the big what he hit a three-pointer against florida state i think it was in the nca tournament or something like that came on came off the bench he hit a big scott but anyway he's been battling cancer for several years and it was in remission he was he'd beat it well it had come back and this time it they uh had to amputate his leg one of these legs like a bike below the knee i believe it was uh and it's just that's just that's just that's just that's just that's
Starting point is 00:48:42 is hard for anybody to go through. But we had a lot of people reach out to us because there are some fundraising efforts out there underway right now where they're trying to raise some money for the family to help with the equipment and things that he needs. He's trying to get the top of the line prosthetic leg is what he's seeking. And then other, you know, modifications they'll have to make house stuff, you know. But that's what they're really trying to get some support for. So we just want to bring, make attention to it.
Starting point is 00:49:06 And this, if Todd may ever hears this, just best of luck to him, man. You know, everybody's pulling for him. Prayers for Todd. Amen. Prayers for Todd. Maybe we can do that hashtag for the next hour. Prayers for Todd and maybe they can raise somebody to help him. And there's not a good way to share a GoFundMe link on the radio because there are about
Starting point is 00:49:23 one million characters in the URL. But I tweeted it yesterday. If you want to go to my Twitter, it's on there. If you go to GoFundMe, punching his name, I'm sure you'll find it. I just pulled it up and I'm looking at the most recent donations, Tony Delk. So that's pretty cool. That is really cool. But, yeah, I mean, Todd was diagnosed in 2014, but just,
Starting point is 00:49:40 earlier this month. They had to amputate right above the knee, the story says here. So they're trying to get him the best of the best stuff so he can keep living a fun life even without that. Amen. Without that wheel. Yeah, yeah. You know, he stayed around here in town and works here and raising his kids, I think,
Starting point is 00:49:57 around here. So we all want to pull for him. And you'll go to Drew's Twitter account and he got that link there if you want to help. Or if you just search his name, I'm sure it'll be easy to find. But any help will certainly go a long way with him. 859-2-80-287. That's our phone number. We had a good crowd here last night for Singo.
Starting point is 00:50:12 Tell me about it. Yeah. Singo last night. But the majority of the people that came to play Singo was cool. They were all in their blue and white because when Singo was over, they paid their bill and went down to Rup Arena for the TBT. It was perfect timing for everybody that was here last night. Yeah, I had something else downtown or I would have been here. I was looking forward to it.
Starting point is 00:50:29 You know, a big Singo fan. And then you combine it with the TVT pre-party. I'm glad you had a good crowd. It was a good crowd. I thought I had, you know, the final game was always cover-all. I had one spot open and the song was Pour Some Sugar on me They started playing this song
Starting point is 00:50:46 I'm like, singo! I screamed it I thought I had won It was the wrong song How do you mess up? How'd screw that one up? You love Def Leopard, right? I do. It was Cherry Pie by Warrant
Starting point is 00:50:58 The way the song started I thought, that's it! Singo! And of course then they never played it and I ended up not covering my other But, yeah, a little... Premature singles, man. Premature single.
Starting point is 00:51:11 Singolation, yeah, last night for me, but it didn't do out well. But it worked out well where everybody then went down to Rupp Arena for the TBT and then Shannon the dude, Alice Blue Gown in concert here Friday night. Friday night. We may tell the neighbors. We may tell them. Just give them a heads up. You don't have to ask permission. Just tell them, hey, this is going down.
Starting point is 00:51:30 That way, when they, if they do call the cops, you know, you could say, well, I've already told you, but give you a heads up. Then it looks bad on them for calling the cops. Mario, you go to Sonic. I'll get Sumo. You got helping you. I got it. I got it. Wolf County, you're on the clock.
