Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and Friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel
help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.

We're digging into the biggest surprises of the season. And I'm looking back on some of my
greatest playoff moments. If we didn't talk ever again, I was part of it. You just understood.
That's how personal it got. Wow. Then after that game seven, Marquis come into, he's like,
you know I love you, dog. You know, it's all love. This was just playoffs. This was just basketball.
So listen to Point Game on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
What's up, guys?
This is Clever Taylor the 4th.
And on my podcast, The Cliverts Show, I'm bringing you conversations about all kinds of stuff.
Like being an internet famous referee.
We're in the middle of a game.
This linebacker walks up to me, he goes, hey, ref, my mom wants you to wave at her.
What?
Time out.
Quarterback on office blue with 42.
A rep.
My mama want you to wave at her.
Hey, Miss Parker.
Listen to the Cliffer Show on the I Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
I'm Joey Dardano, and on my new podcast, Hope from a Hypocrite, I'll be changing lives, helping people in need with thoughtful solutions.
Sike, I'm a comedian. I'm not qualified to give good advice.

This is Kentucky Sports Radio presented by Stockton Mortgage.
Now here's Matt Jones.
Welcome, everyone, Kentucky Sports Radio Wednesday, September the 4th.
I'm Matt Jones here on another beautiful day here in Lexington, Kentucky.
It's basically been beautiful every day since I've been back except the game on Saturday.
That was like the only day it hasn't been beautiful, but we are here.
It is Wings Day.
You know what that means, Drew?
It means wings are on sale and you should come eat them.
Dollar Wings today.
That's exactly right.
We will be doing it all day.
From right now, well, we're not opening yet.
From 11 until we close.
And you should come out.
We've already got some folks here watching the show and looking forward to being here.
I've got an exciting idea, Ryan Lemon.
But first, the Clark's Pumping Shop phone line is 859-280-2287.
A-Vision, A-Vision, Ovation,
I'm a glass text machine 772-745254 in this edition.
Sponsored by the T.J. Smith, the office.
If you call T.J. He'll make them pay.
Are you ready for my idea?
I know you're excited about it because you came in and kind of a little bouncing your step today.
So something's going on.
Well, it's going to be a huge bus, Shannon.
There's no doubt about that.
But I decided I wanted to do this last night, and it's going to be a bust, but that's okay.
I'm still, I'm not deterred.
Do you know what I know Drew does, but Ryan, do you know what an NFL Survivor League is?
I think you pick a team that's going to win or lose,
and the last one standing of your group is the winner.
So the answer is no.
You do not know.
Not totally.
Okay.
Shannon, do you know what is Survivor League?
No, I don't.
Okay, here's what a Survivor League is.
You pick a team every week, and all they have to do is win.
Okay.
They just have to win the game.
You look at all the games, and you go,
which team is the most likely to win?
Okay.
But then you can't ever use that team the rest of the year.
So the key is pick a team to win a game,
but then you can't use them again the rest of the year.
So if you pick the Chiefs in week one, yeah, they may win, but then you can't use them again.
So you have to think about what's the right team to use that I can use again.
Do you understand?
I understand, yes.
So we're going to do a KSR Survivor League.
Okay, but here's the thing.
It's going to be me, you, Drew, Mario, Billy, and Shannon.
But I decided, why don't we try something here?
Okay.
Why don't we do the KSR-affiliated Celebrity League?
Okay.
So what I did, you all, the six of you, I want you to look at your phones.
I went last night while I was watching tennis.
Mario's on here too.
And I went through and I went through my phone book.
And I tried to see whose phone number do I have.
Okay.
Now, most of these Shannon probably don't even work.
Okay.
Yeah.
Probably changed them since then.
They probably changed.
Some of these numbers have been in here for 20 years.
So a lot of them are probably gone.
Here's what I'm going to do.
I'm tweeting out the list of names right now so the fans can see them.
Okay.
It doesn't, by the way, have the numbers on them.
Don't worry about, like, writing what is this?
When the people write, what is this, that means they're not listening to the show.
You know what I mean?
So, Ryan, if somebody tweets out, what is this, I'll know you're not listening.
So you're not a fan.
So the thing is just out there, okay?
Mario's job today is during the show, you are going to text people, Mario.
I'm going to hand you my phone.
When in my life if I hated somebody in my phone?
I've never seen you empty-handed.
This is honestly, this shows you how much I like Mari.
Yes.
I'm literally handing Mario my phone.
I have not.
You may be the only other person that's ever had this in your hand.
Okay?
Big responsibility.
It is a big responsibility.
It's going to be, you know, you're driving me next weekend to Oshkosh.
We're staying in the night in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
What a weekend.
Those 100 people in my phone book, their names are all in it.
You're going to write them a message.
First thing I want you to do, you're going to just stay on here.
I want you to draft the message.
And then you can read us to us before you send it.
Then I'm going to send it to all 100 people,
and we are going to see during the show, Drew, who will respond yes out of those 100 people.
I love this game.
I saw the list you sent with no context.
I wasn't really sure what was going on, but I'm a big fan of this.
There's some high-profile names on there.
Well, let's talk about who's on there.
Okay, Shannon, do you have the name list?
I've got it.
These are all people who, for whatever reason, over the years I've had their name.
Now, let's go through first the people I think will not say yes.
Mario just pointed at one.
Okay, what was it?
John Caliperi.
John Caliperi is not going to say yes.
Nope.
Mario highlighted that one right away.
But you're asking him, okay?
You're going to ask him.
He's definitely going to say no.
There's no chance he says yes, but you're going to ask him.
Billy Gillespie is on the list.
That's another no.
That might be a yes.
You never know.
Could be.
May have changed his number.
He may have chased his number.
Let me give you some other ones I think are unlikely to respond.
Morgan Wall.
That was mine.
I don't think, I'm not even sure if that's his real number.
It was at one time his number.
Drew, I'm leaning towards he doesn't respond.
You never know.
Your family.
He might want to play in the family.
I don't know if he knows that very well.
Who else on here?
Which sting?
Is this the rest of it?
This is Sting the wrestler, not Sting the singer.
I think Sting the wrestler may be slightly more likely to respond.
What about Marilyn Manson?
Marilyn Manson unlikely to respond.
Yeah, that number is probably not right, but we're sending it anyway,
just in case he decided, you know what, I want to get it back.
What do you think here?
Now, let me get a couple things.
I don't have any current NFL or NBA players because I think they're probably not allowed
to play.
So there was a lot of people that I could have put on there from that.
I see.
Carl Towns, Devin Book, but I'm not writing them because I don't think you can do it.
And people who are currently college football coaches, or excuse me, NFL coaches.
There's a few of those I knew.
So what do we think?
So if Mario starts with it at the top of the list on the A's, who's the first guy that sends back at yes?
Who's the first guy that says yes?
And Andrew Yang at number two?
Andrew Yang.
I think it might be Andrew Yang.
former presidential candidate, Andy Katz, maybe.
Alyssa Lane.
I'm looking forward to being in a football league with Mel Kuiper,
Booger McFarland, and Bobby Lones.
So here's my thing.
First 20 people that say yes are in.
Okay.
If 20 people say yes.
There's 100 names on here.
I would say the amount of people on here that I would actually consider my friend are very few.
That's what makes a better.
Myr and Metcalfe will say yes.
Tom Hart.
Tom Hart will say yes.
Woo will say yes.
There's a handful that will say yes, but then a lot of these people, I barely know.
I haven't talked to Jeff Goodman in 10 years.
Edom May.
Do you think Edom May says yes?
Jack Harlow's on here.
Wow.
Billy Corgan from the Smashing Pumpkins?
Yeah, that's right.
So, Shannon, I want you to look at that list.
Who do you hope joins our Survivor League?
Well, I would hope John Caliperi, but I know there's no chance for that to happen.
I think it's very unlikely.
I know that Cash Flow would at least respond.
Cash flow will join the league.
He will join the league.
He'll be one of the first 20.
He's also towards the top of the list.
He'll join the league.
Tom Hartwood, for sure, I think.
Yes.
You think J.D. Vance will.
I'm expecting J.D. Vance.
No.
See, I think J.D. Vance is 50-50.
Because pretty much J.D. Vance has responded pretty much my entire life when I ever write something.
So it's highly possible.
Yeah.
It would be interesting.
He would be probably at this moment the most high-profile person that would have
done it, right?
Mr. Pectacular.
I think Mr. Pectacular will do it.
So here's what I want you to do.
While this is going on, I want you in your phone to Mario compose what would be your introductory text.
And then the second, second, I'll have you read it to it before I hand you this and let you start writing people.
Okay?
Yeah.
All right, there you go.
So we're going to have the KSR Celebrity Survivor League.
And if you want to look at the 100 people that are being written,
Just go to my Twitter.
I tweeted out the name, and there are already people going,
what in the world is this?
This one I did when you said it, but I knew something exciting was the head.
Yes, one person writes, I got to admit, the one that threw me off the most was Edom May.
Do you talk to Edomay a lot?
We had her in wrestling once, if you remember.
Probably be a coming out Broadway soon.
That's right.
She lives here in Lexington, I think, still.
So there you go.
We will have the league and we'll see.
That is too funny.
I'm embarrassed how excited I am about this.
To see who says yes?
Yes.
All right.
So, but you all have to say yes.
I'm in.
I can't wait to be in a league with Drake.
I say, don't have Greg's phone number.
I have Greg if we want to add him.
I've had that forever.
Let's see what happens.
You have to add that.
Very slim chance that works.
That's true.
Let's see who gets through mine.
And then, yeah, go ahead, put it in Mario.
And then we might do Drew.
Drew's got different ones than me, I'm sure.
So 8.59-2-287 is the phone line.
Text machine, 7-7-2-7-75-25-4.
the Kentucky South Carolina line is now stabilizing at 10.
Kentucky is a 10-point favorite Saturday against South Carolina,
which to me, I know they didn't play well Saturday against Old Dominion,
but that feels like a lot of points against the team that's beaten us two years in a row
and has pretty good, you know, has two or three guys projected to the draft.
I mean, are you surprised that number is so high?
I guess I'm surprised a little bit, but, you know, that game two years ago,
here was kind of a throwaway game.
It was.
I agree with that.
I don't even count that one.
The game last year, Kentucky ran into a bustle.
They played really, really, really well that night.
This year, though, coming in, I think South Carolina is down.
I don't think they're as good as maybe some people think they are.
Just what I saw against Old Dominion.
But, I mean, that's the, you know, I always say in gambling, we're tap and fade this
today.
And Drew, I always say, here's the time to make money, week two and week three,
because people overreact to a small sample size.
So they see one game and they go too far in the other direction.
Objectively speaking, if I were to be betting and I didn't care about Kentucky,
I would see that and go that went way too far in the other direction.
At the beginning of the season, that was probably three and a half Kentucky.
Now it's 10.
Kentucky only played two quarters in five minutes.
They played Old Dominion.
It was a weird game.
You know, 10 feels like a lot.
I feel like we're going to win, but 10 to me seems like a lot.
Yeah, I hear what you're saying.
Normally I'd agree, but that wasn't just a weird game.
They looked bad.
Their quarterback, that was his first ever start.
He completed 40% of his passes in a home game against Old Dominion.
Their points came because they got two turnovers, basically inside the 10 that set them up with goal to go right away.
If they didn't have those two, who knows what happens.
So you're taking the quarterback, Lenora Sellers, and bringing him to an SEC environment
where the defense looked really good and seems to be the highlight of Kentucky's team.
So I just don't know how South Carolina is going to put up a lot of points unless that guy just,
guy just makes an unbelievable jump from his first game to his second. The early line was six
before the season started. So it's moved four points. I still think they'll cover it.
So you still think we've been to by more than 10? I think there's an ass kicking ahead.
Okay. I just think they're that bad. In most scenarios, I would say, yeah, that was a fluky game.
You know, sometimes you have close games at home. Kentucky's had several in the past, but I just don't
think their quarterback's cut out to make their jump yet. Well, their quarterback does have a look at his
eye when you look through the goggles of a guy who looks a little shaky.
I'm not going to lie.
Like he didn't look to me like a guy comfortable, and he was playing Old Dominion,
which is not exactly an SEC defense.
I mean, he didn't look comfortable.
He just didn't.
It just didn't look like he was at ease in the game.
So let's make him uncomfortable.
I think we have to.
I think if I'm Brad White, I look at that tape and say, get after the quarterback,
make him even more uncomfortable.
We've played teams.
I remember a few years back we played a Missouri team.
whose quarterback looked like he wanted to punt as soon as he caught it every time.
I think we need to try to do that to this.
I agree.
If we were getting him in week six and he had time to get comfortable,
get some games under his belt, you know,
maybe he turns out to be something.
Maybe he will.
But just his debut game a week ago to go into his first road game in the SEC,
I think Kentucky's in a good spot to make it for a long evening for him.
Yeah.
859-28027.
All right.
So do you have your draft?
I do have my draft.
Read me the draft.
Shannon, you tell me,
I'm going to stay quiet for a minute.
You tell me if you think this draft is acceptable by Mario.
Okay.
There, there.
Hope all is well.
I don't ever start.
Hey, there.
How do you start?
What's up?
Salutex.
Greetings and saluted.
Just say, hey, good morning.
Hey, hope you're doing well.
All right, go ahead.
Hey, hope you're doing well.
I'm starting up in NFL Survivor League this season and would love for you to join.
It's a really fun way to follow the games and add some excitement.
it's a friendly competition where we can chat about games debate our picks
and that means like the automatic text message you sound like you're sending an email okay
like yeah yeah less is more less is more okay let's try this we'll cut that part out
let's just let's start over just listen to me and then you tried yet you do something like
hey this matt we're doing a survivor league for the NFL with our with KSR we're trying to
see who we can get to be in it and we'd love for you to
participate, do you think, would you like to do it?
There you go.
We're trying to get the most high profile.
Yeah, we're trying to get the most high.
Yeah, say that because some of them will think it's a good.
Yeah.
Some of them will think that means, that's right.
These people have ego.
We're an elite group.
Yeah, we're trying to get the most high profile people we can on it.
Bam.
And we'd love to have you.
And say friends of KSR, something like Friends of KSR.
All right, you work on that.
We'll try it again.
That first one sounded like you were trying to get me to donate to Joe Biden.
So I don't, that we...
It was kind of like the automatic when you'd send when you create a league and just put all the number of eight.
Yeah, exactly.
So it's too automated, yeah.
All right, so we will try it.
859-280-2287.
We will take a break.
Be right back.
This KSOM.

What's up, fam? It's Isaiah Thomas.
And I'm CJ Toledano and our podcast Point Game is about defying the odds.
Like LeBron heading into the playoffs without Luca and Austin Reed.
And finding ways to win no matter what.
He's the smartest player to ever play the game. His IQ is at a level that we've never.
seen before. And he knows. Without Luca and Austin Reeves, I got to manipulate the game.
We get a player's perspective on the challenges of the playoffs.
I think Joker's going to be exhausted this series because when they don't have Rudy in the
lineup, he has to really guard guys like Nas Reed. He has to guard Julius Randall. And then he
has to give us everything he gives us on the night-to-night basis on offense. And when IT's friends
stop by, like Quentin Richardson, we dive into some playoff history too.
Steve Nash would get that thing.
That man, hell get the flying.
He running up the court, licking his fingers,
why he got the ball.
Like, after you go through a training camp with that, I said,
you figure it out real quick.
Get your ass up and down the court,
and you're going to get the ball.

two names I don't know. Who don't you know? Chris Vernon? He's going to love you, don't know
who he is. He's on like the, he's like an NBA guy. He covers the Memphis Grizzlies. He's on the
ringer. You never heard of that guy? He also makes us say amen at the corner, right? Yeah, he's the
guy that, you know what he is. He's the guy during the Masters. He does that.

It's Spears. I don't know a guy named Marcus Spooey.
I don't either. That's why I was asking.
I didn't know you knew Nick Lechay.
Nick Lechay, yes, he's on there.
Nick Lechay from the, what, 98 degrees?
Is that right?
Here's one, Jamie Lamar?
Jamie.
That's Jamie Comer.
He's a Congress.
He's only been on TV like every day for the last four years.
Jamie Comer.
Yes.
Anyone else you don't know?
I'd have to look here again.
That's Paul Feinbaum.
He's on the SEC network.
You may have heard of him.
Who's the one right above him?
Patrick Patterson.
He played at Kentucky.
Do you remember him?
I can't read you right.
He played during Calipari's first year.
You remember 54 Patrick Patterson?
You know, it is kind of impressive.
You handwrote all 100 of these names.
Well, I was watching Francis TFO play tennis last night, and I just sort of did this while I would.
Anybody else you don't know?
Yeah, there's Samantha Irby?
Irby is that awful.
that we were going to go see in Michigan.
Yes.
That wrote the book and we end up missing her.
What about Taylor Toolman?
It's Taylor Twelman, and he is an ESPN announcer.
His name is not Toolman.
According to you're writing it, it is.
So today we'll introduce them to everyone on the list of the new play again.
So there you go.
I like Ryan.
Ryan, why did you take your...
You're the only person I've ever seen Reed by taking your glasses off.
So you wear glasses, and then when you read, you take them off?
I can't see it up close.
So I type my glasses off so I can read up close.
Here's one.
I can't read your writing.
Taylor.
I just said that way.
He just said that six seconds ago.
Taylor Twelman from ESP.
Okay.
I didn't know who that was.
Never mind.
The game within the game.
859-280-2020-27.
I'm going to go to the phones.
Last night, John Caliperi posted a picture from an Arkansas workout with PJ Washington.
P.J. Washington had come to Arkansas to workout to work out
the team. It's the first time I think we've seen a UK NBA guy at Arkansas. Drew, did it get in your
feelings when you saw it last night? It did not. Not at all. I kind of expect more of this.
We knew some of it would happen. I hope there's not too much of it, but there was no doubt that
some of Cal's guys would go pop in Fayetteville, have a workout, say hi to him. It's common to do that
in the offseason. He's just at a different place now. I don't think any of them are jumping ship to
Arkansas completely. I feel like it's kind of a common thing to go pop and say how to your old coach.
Yeah, but it's in Fayetteville. Oh, it's certainly ugly to see, but I don't, I don't, it didn't
upset me that much. I think we'll see more of it. I guess it does sting a little bit because he's got
a Arkansas shirt on. He's in Fayetteville. But the same time, I think these guys have kind of said
already, he's my coach, but Kentucky's my school. But Mario, it stings you, because again, like,
The only time you know basketball from Kentucky is the Cal era.
Did it sting you?
Yeah, a little bit.
Just seeing that.
I get it.
I get him going back to see his old coach,
but I don't get 100% the gear he had on, the Arkansas shirt.
So that's what makes you, man.
Just a little bit.
Just a little bit.
Yeah.
It looks weird.
It looks weird.
I don't like Arkansas gear either.
I mean, I get it, but like I didn't like it either.
It bothered me more than I thought it would.
I kind of said to myself, you know,
these guys are going to be at their game.
and like I get it, but for something about CMPJ in Arkansas gear.
And, you know, I mean, I have an Arkansas shirt.
I'm not wearing it now, but I had it for a few years ago.
And for some reason, C&PJ in it, Drew, that bothered me a little bit.
I just hope none of them go too far.
Cal's not going to be there very long.
You have your whole life ahead of you to be beloved in Lexington.
Don't mess that up by, you know, and when they play each other,
going all in on Arkansas and saying negative things about Kentucky.
They all need to remember their home is Kentucky.
But I understand why they're checking in to say,
Got a cow.
All right.
Read me the thing before you start sending.
Here is the draft.
Here's the official draft.
Hey, this is Matt.
Hope you're doing well.
Is it bad?
No, it's just something about you reading, hey, this is Matt.
Go ahead.
Should I do your voice too?
Yeah, yeah, try to do it my voice.
I'd like to hear that.
Mario does a pretty good Matt voice.
Oh, he does.
Oh, yeah.
All right, go ahead.
Okay, I've never heard.
Hey, this is Matt.
Hope you're doing well.
We're doing a NFL Survivor Week with KSR,
and we're trying to get the most high-profile people on it.
And, of course, friends of KSR,
would you love to join us from your buddy Matt?
Brilliant.
Brilliant performance.
First of all.
You already said you're Matt.
You don't need to say you're Matt twice.
Yeah, you don't need to say that out.
We'll take that out.
All right.
And then there was something you said, read me the sentence about the Survivor League again.
We're doing a NFL Survivor Week with KSR.
Survivor League.
Survivor League.
Okay.
There we go.
I don't say from your buddy.
I don't think I would say that.
So say friends of KSR, the most high profile friends of KSR.
Okay.
And then say, hope to hear from you.
Hope to hear from you soon.
And just end with that.
Okay.
Yes. Kentucky Scott on Twitter told me we should take Howard Feynman off the list.
Why? He passed away.
Oh, rest in peace.
So I just feel like, let's at least remove it.
What if you got to respond to that?
All right. Thank you, Kentucky Scott.
I actually wrote something when he died and said, yeah, I said God bless you.
June of this year.
Okay. Take Howard Feynman off.
Other than that, I think we have a good list.
Do we need to check the pulse of anybody else on the list?
Well, now we just have 99.
Okay.
So I need you rest in peace, Howard, because he was actually a very nice guy.
All right, so you're going to start.
Okay.
We're going to do the show.
When someone responds, you break in and say there a yes or there a no.
I got you.
Okay, most people are not going to respond, but you're just going to cut in pace and go through there and do it.
All right, I'm giving you my phone.
Please don't break it.
All right.
I will not break your phone.
Who's up first?
Let's go to Kentucky Joe.
You can text it to me first and then get it that way.
And I'm going alphabetically, right?
A through.
Yeah, just cut and paste instead of typing it every time.
Okay?
I got you.
All right.
Go ahead, Joe.
It'd be great.
Joe, go ahead, Joe.
Joe.
Joe, after all this time, you're really not going to be on the phone?
He's upset.
He's not on your list.
Yeah, he's not going to be on the list.
Sorry, Kentucky, Joe.
All right.
We've got to go to a break anyway.
All right.
859-280-2287.
A couple open lines.
Joe, when I finally give Joe,
the chance to be on the show, and then he doesn't do it.
We'll see who responds.
Also want to talk about what happened at Louisville.
The Weatherman versus Radiocaster.
The other chapter.
It's continuing to go.
This is Kentucky Sports Radio.
T.J. Smith, personal injury attorney.
Call T.J. He'll make them pay.
Now, more of Kentucky Sports Radio presented by Stockton Mortgage.
Here's Matt Jones.
Welcome back. Techie Sports Radio.
859-280-22.
Mario, you break in as soon as someone says yes.
I will do that.
You've sent what, four so far?
About five right now.
All right, good pace.
What if nobody says yes?
We're going to get a yes this segment because there's a couple names that you're getting ready to hit.
It's going to say yes.
We'll see.
I want to give you an update from the actual U.K. South Carolina game.
Would you like to know a little behind the scenes as they were deciding whether or not to play the game for the U.K.
Southern Miss game?
So even though this was reported incorrectly on.
online. So there is an SEC rule about how late games can go. The rule is you can't play later
than 1.30 a.m. So the game has to be finished by 1.30 a.m. So the rule of you can't start
after 10, it's not really a rule you can't start after 10, but the theory is if you don't
start after 10, it's going to be hard if you be finished by 130. That's why the half time was
shorter. Gotcha.
was to try to make sure it could get done by 130.
That rule can be waived if both teams get permission from the SEC.
So part of what was happening before the game started was trying to get permission from the SEC
if we start this and we go past 130 or we good because they didn't want to have it where
at 1.30 the game just had to stop right with, you know, three minutes left in the game.
The SEC gave some kind of waiver.
I didn't hear what it was.
it wasn't all night.
It might have been like two,
which is why the halftime had to end.
Then once the next lightning strike hit,
they knew they couldn't get it done by 130,
and the SEC was like,
in both situations,
the second choice was not going to be to cancel the game.
It was going to be to play at Sunday.
But literally,
and literally Southern Miss had nowhere to stay,
and then there's also a cost feature.
So one of the things they were on the phone is that the SEC had agreed to help Southern Miss pay
if they had to stay another night, and they called hotels.
And they could not find in one hotel 75 rooms or whatever it was they needed.
And so part of what was happening there was trying to find.
So there was a serious consideration of playing at the next day at 12 o'clock.
They even had a TV window where it would be shown the next day on the SEC network if they did it.
but ultimately it came down to you can't find a hotel room in Lexington
and because they couldn't find a hotel room in Lexington,
they had to do it then.
So many factors come into play when you're talking about something like that.
And I had no idea about this 130 rule.
I did not know that rule.
So the reason the baseball rule is start at 10
is because the rule for every sport is you have to be done by 130.
And they know that for baseball and football, starting by 10,
is how you ensure you get done by 130.
During that two-hour delay before the game started,
I was already playing out what a Sunday game would look like.
Does everyone set the tailgate up again and just run it back?
Does, you know, people make special trips?
I was thinking about this place.
Well, that, baby, just did people get fired up for a noon game again
after doing a whole experience?
On a Sunday afternoon, we have like four servers,
and I was like, we're going to explain, like, there's no way.
It won't work.
And so, like, we were trying to figure out.
I mean, hubby and I had already said,
I guess we'll come work.
I was thinking, do we have to do another pregame show?
That's what I mean.
You know, do you have to do, but we didn't have to get into any of that.
But it would have been Sunday at one.
That would have, would that have been weirder?
Well, the fact that there was no NFL, at least it could have happened and could have worked for it.
Exactly.
If it's any other week of the year, you have the NFL problem.
Yeah.
But because this was a week without NFL, they could have played on Sunday, could have kept it on television and all the things.
So what do you think that would have been weirder?
Telgating all over again, just basically.
getting back with your friends back to back days?
Just say for example, just what if it was 2421?
Well, that's why they had to make the decision before the game.
Because if it's 2421 with three minutes to go, they can't stop the game.
Like they can't just go, well, it's over.
Correct.
So, I mean, that's why that's why I think if there had been one more lightning strike before the game,
the game would have been Sunday.
They would have just found a way and told them, told Georgetown,
or Southern Miss, you know, go stay up in Wadi.
or something.
Like, I don't, I mean, I don't know what else they could have done.
We could have been everyone in Lexington, giving up our homes.
Like you, I got a couple of league baseball players.
We would like to have some Southern Miss players at your house.
I got a couple rooms open.
They can come crash at my house.
So anyway, that was kind of what was, we were all wondering what was going on
during those two hours.
That's what was going on.
Who's up next?
Mike.
Mike, go ahead, Mike.
Hey, just a quick little thought that you're sending those out.
I figured a legal mind probably would know the answer.
I'm not too sure that any college coach or anything can be solicited about any type of gambling pull.
But it's not gambling.
They're not winning any money.
So like it's only gambling if there's money involved.
This is like a pick-um contest.
Okay.
Well, you better read that because I think that you might have a little trouble with the ESPN.
It's not.
There's no gambling.
It's like it'd be the same as if they came on here and just picked the winner.
Gambling involves money.
They can't give information or anything.
It's an NFL.
I ask no NFL people.
Any level of sports.
sports man that's okay I appreciate the call that's not
LeBron's currently doing an NFL gambling ad I've seen it yeah I mean it's
if I bring Mark Stoops on here and I say who's gonna win tonight
freeing the Ravens and the Chiefs it does not break the rules for him to say
the Chiefs and all we're picking NFL games these are NFL games and I did not
ask NFL people yeah so it's all all fair and square yeah gambling is different
gambling is gambling is money of which this is this is just a couple of
We have to get together and talking about sports.
We have nobody.
How many, how many yeses have we got?
We got, let's see.
You're supposed to break him when we get a yes?
We don't have a yes.
Okay.
Do you have nose or is it just a bunch of...
Have no replies.
You're not going to get any of a shot you don't take.
We still got 90 names to go.
Yeah, no, but like, did you spell their names right?
I mean, I feel like Andy Bashir would have replied by now.
What's he got to do?
You know, he's probably a little busy.
A little busy.
If we get no replies, you know, who's...
whose fault that is?
Certainly not mine.
It's your fault.
It's the way you worded the text.
Yeah, exactly.
It's the text message, isn't it?
How do I, what's wrong?
Why I want your phone?
Okay.
All right, who's next?
Rod.
Rod.
Go ahead, Rod.
Hey, good morning, fellas.
Good morning.
Back on the game, a couple thoughts is,
I don't know if you guys noticed or not,
but over the past couple years,
compared to the past couple years,
it seemed like, on an offensive perspective,
it seemed like we were so much
more organized is that people in the spots they were supposed to be in there wouldn't a whole lot
I know we had a couple mess-ups with the headset and things but wasn't a whole lot of mess-ups with
you know fall start penalties and people being off-sides and some of the goofy stuff we've seen
as years past yeah I mean I think the headset's got to make part of that better right Drew I mean the
fact that we did we were more organized now here's what's interesting you remember how we complained
about how slow we played last year we played slower in this one
Really? The amount of plays per whatever.
We actually were slightly slower.
And I will say the only thing at home that was making me crazy is like it felt like we were lined up at 19 and we ran it down to six.
And I continue to believe when you're better than the other team, you want more possessions.
When we play Georgia, we're going to want to play as slow as possible.
But they're going to want to play fast.
They want as many possessions as they can because the theory is the more possessions, the better team wins.
I still felt like we were slow.
It was the first game, and I grant you that.
But we actually were slightly slower than last year.
But I do agree we didn't have as much, Ryan, looking at the sideline and going, what are we doing?
It felt like people were in the position.
I got to admit, I was a little concerned when, like, was it the second play of the game?
Second play time out.
I thought, uh-oh, what is going on?
But then it seemed to kind of clean up after that, didn't it?
Yeah.
And that was a scripted drive.
It was just a guy out of place, young guy starting for the first time.
It kind of fell on him.
The other thing that concerns me a little bit, and this has been kind of like a running theme for the past few years.
I can remember last year down at Georgia where, you know, well, in this game, we had some guy, headbutt somebody.
You know, we got a couple of different situations that could have been PI is real easy or personal fouls real easy.
And coach has got to beat this stuff in these guys' heads.
They do, but that's just.
with a handsome brothers you know that's how they that's how that's how that's how i appreciate to call that's how
they play this team this team has personal fouls we need to not yep but i think that's how they coach
all right we have an answer we got a few all right give me give me the answer so the first one so the
first one i'm probably going to butcher the name noqua dari dari dora dora of esp and they're
rolling in they're rolling in what he said so dari said sure thing what is nice darry
It's the first one.
The first one.
Dari Noca.
Okay, who's next?
All right.
Our next one is Andy Katz.
What's he say?
Meaning fantasy, question mark?
No.
It's not been.
Survivor League.
Survivor League.
I'll text them back.
Okay.
So we got one yes.
So we have our six.
It may just be us six and Dari Noca, and that would be it.
Who else?
That sounds like a party in itself.
Andy Katz says he doesn't follow the NFL mostly.
Telling me, it doesn't matter.
Who doesn't follow the NFL?
First of all, who doesn't follow the NFL?
Me.
You and Andy can sit down.
You can read me the other ones.
You can respond to him during the break.
Can read me the other ones?
You got cash flow.
Cash flow?
Sure, Matt.
Yeah.
We knew he was in.
All right.
Who's next?
We knew he was in.
Andy Katz is typing right now.
Okay, that's the only three?
Yeah.
Okay.
I didn't expect two yeses this early.
So we got cash flow.
Yeah.
And Dari Noka.
I've never met Dari, but he seemed like a cool dude.
I met him at SEC Media Days.
You know what?
Cashflow and Dari Noca, what else do you need if you have those?
It's a party.
It's a party with those two.
Shannon, he has my phone, so tell me an ad that I need to do.
How about cornbread hemp?
Cornbread hemp.com.
If you need to be able to rest and relax cornbread hemp, I did not, I wasn't able to take cornbread hemp this summer.
Yes.
And you know what?
Once I got back, it was great to get back in that sleeping flow.
It was a different kind of sleep without it.
It just was.
And I, cornbread hemp.com, full spectrum, flour-only hemp, CBCB.
They have a new recipe.
I think it's maybe slightly stronger as well.
Do you like it?
The watermelon is the new strong one,
and that one that helped you sleep great.
There you go.
Cornbreadhempt.com.
Use a promo code KSR.
30% off at Cornbread Hemp.
What are you laughing at?
I'm reading Andy Katz text message.
He said,
not sure what that means,
by the way,
big Andy Bashir fan.
Did you accidentally send him Andy Bashir?
Did you send to Andy Bichier invite to Andy Katz?
No, no, no.
Well, that was just out of nowhere.
He was completely unrelated.
That was completely unrelated.
I'm kind of confused.
That's kind of odd.
Okay, don't get into personal conversations, all right?
I'll write him later.
Just keep...
I don't want you talking about Andy Bishir with Andy Katz.
I don't know what you'll say.
We'll take a break.
Write more people.
We have Adari and we have a cash flow.
That's next here on Kentucky Sports Radio.
Last night, a blown call changed the game.
This morning, the internet lost its mind.
Highlights are trending, opinions are flying, and nobody's telling you exactly what happened.
That's where SportsSlice comes in.
I'm Timbo.

Sometimes when we're in the pursuit of the thing,
we get so wrapped up in the chase
that we don't realize that we are in possession of the thing
and we're still chasing it
and we don't know when we've done enough
because people scoreboard watch.
Life becomes about wins and losses.
Steve Burns, Dustin Ross,
because you find it important to be a good person
while you hear on earth?
Are you a good person because you're afraid
Because that's two different intentions, bro.
Absolutely.
And that's two different levels of trust.
I want you to just really be a good person.

What's up, fam?
It's Isaiah Thomas.
And I'm CJ Toledano,
and our podcast Point Game is about defying the odds.
Like LeBron heading into the playoffs
without Luca and Austin Reed.
And finding ways to win no matter what.
He's the smartest player to ever play the game.
His IQ is at a level that we've never seen before.
And he knows without Luca and Austin Reeves,
I got to manipulate the game.
We get a player's perspective on the challenges of the playoffs.
I think Joker's going to be exhausted this series
because when they don't have Rudy in the lineup,
he has to really guard guys like Nas Reid.
He has to guard Julius Randall.
And then he has to give us everything he gives us
on the night-to-night basis on offense.
And when IT's friends stop by, like Quentin Richardson,
we dive into some playoff history too.
Steve Nass would get that thing.
That man, hell get the flying.
He running up the court, licking his fingers
why he got the ball, like,
after you go through a training camp with that, I said,
you figure it out real quick.
Get your ass up and down the court,
and you're going to get the ball.

Quarterback on office blue with 42.

We got Dwayne Peev.
He says, is it public?
Sounds like fun.
There we go.
That's a yes.
I'm taking that as a yes.
Dway and Peev.
All right.
Now we're down to.
We got four.
Anybody else?
We got Doug Gaudilleeve.
I'm sorry, Doug.
Mario reading the names is in and of itself.
He's now the coach.
Does anybody know where he's the coach?

You're about to Wisconsin Green Bay.

Mario, I'm going to meet him.
We can actually meet him next weekend.

All right.
Did you hear Shannon the caller to the Tennessee radio show whose wife threatened
and divorce him on the end?
I have not heard it, but I've got it ready to play.
This is an amazing clip.
I'm sorry to the people here in the restaurant.
You're not going to be able to hear it.
But, okay, so here's what.
This is not the show of the guy that we talk about, the Basileo guy.
It's not him.
This is a different person's show.
This is right after the Tennessee game and a guy's on the phone.
And you know what?
This is all the context you need.
Take a listen.
and they're Florida
These guys are good
That's why I think they'd pull the trigger pretty quickly
I'm getting rid of Billy
He's
Cosmo Chris
I know you don't
I'm going to take your two and a half million dollars
Did you kid
Could you hear that?
He said
She says
Get off the damn sports radio
My dad needs your help
And then ends with
I'll take your two and a half
million dollars first of all must be a pretty rich guy calling into sports radio there and secondly
get off the damn sports radio what i'm i'm sure right i'm sure there are people whose wives have
said that when they call into my show but are you surprised about that just hearing it she scared
me i probably would have hung up immediately if she's saying that to me over my shoulder so this is
just a caller not like a host this just someone participating no this is a caller a guy had waited on hold
they go to him, his name is like Cosmo Chris, and she cusses him out for getting on.
And there's more to it that they had to beep out.
Like after the $2.5 million, she apparently just goes off on.
When she dreaded that $2.5 million, I would have been helping her dad, whatever was going on.
You know, the host, too, I think they were wanting to hear too.
It was very smart.
There's a time when you do radio, Shannon, you shut up and let the caller make it,
and that was one of those moments.
I think the host was actually scared himself for what was going to happen to the guy.
Yeah, well, I was the damn sports radio.
Get off the damn sports radio.
Get off the damn sports radio.
Mario, you have another one.
We got two.
We got one from a Dan or Looski.
This is the best part of the game.
Y'all are killing me, man.
Doing great.
You need to beat these people.
They're going to be in a league with you.
Actually, okay, before you do the next one, will you tell everybody, and I'm, this is, you know, this is out of love, Mark.
Yes, of course.
Tell everyone what the question you asked me after the show yesterday.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
I thought this was one of the sweetest things.
Tell them what you asked.
I'm not a big politics guy.
So I asked Matt, I said, so what is a, what was it, conservative?
And then what is a liberal?
A liberal.
You said, when you say conservative and liberal, what do you mean?
He gave me some good details.
I thought that was a great question.
So, like, you don't follow it at all.
No, I'm not a big.
politics guy.
Good for you.
That's actually, I envy you for that.
All right, what's the other one besides Dan Vervoravard?
Do you want to hear what Dan said?
Yes.
He said, Matt, who?
And then he said, idiot, I know it's you.
And then he said, mass texter.
No, it's it.
Tell him, okay, during the break, right, no, I'm saying, I invited you personally or something
like that.
Okay, now, who's the other one?
So Dan has not said yes, yes.
The other one is Ian Eagle.
Ian.
Iron.
That's a common mistake.
Okay, what did he say?
Love you, bud.
No picking for me on the record.
Oh, that's right, because he calls the game.
Yeah, he can't do it.
Okay.
See if Orlovsky will do it.
Okay.
I work on Oblast.
All right, thank you.
Who's up?
Tell I and we said hello.
No, yeah, tell I and I said thanks, I get it.
Now the second most famous eagle in that family.
Yeah, who's up next?
John.
John, go ahead, John.
Hey, so I was rewatching the game last week, and Mincy was awful.
And South Carolina has this guy who looks like he's going to connect,
is Avalie and Clowney.
Combine that with everything else South Carolina has,
they're pretty bad.
But I keep seeing everyone saying take the under on this.
I'm wondering what we should take.
I think it's going to be over.
Yeah, I don't know what the over under is, but I'll look at it.
Let me ask you about Mincy, Drew.
I mean, I appreciate the call.
I didn't call him out by name because I wasn't going to do that,
but he has since been called out by others by name.
He did not play with.
He was beating off the line on most plays.
He had a penalty.
Again, small sample size, but are you worried?
I mean, played for Tennessee.
He was a good player.
Are you worried about him as our starting, what, right tackle?
A little bit.
Really, the left side of the line looked good.
The right side had some room to grow.
Jalen Farmer at Guard looked pretty well.
But the caller's right.
There's a freshman for South Carolina.
You wouldn't normally worry about a freshman on a defensive line.
But he is a freak as quick as he gets off.
It's going to be a problem for Mincey.
If South Carolina is going to have any success,
Dylan Stewart's the guy's name, number six,
that guy will be wreaking habit if they're going to do anything defensive.
I don't know why, but Mincey looked very, very slow on Saturday ride.
And I think, you know, they were pretty high on him coming out of camp
that he thought he could, you know, hold down that right tackle spot.
So I don't know what kind of depth they've got right there right now.
Maybe they look to maybe put somebody else out there.
Corlin Ford's a tackle that didn't participate all through camp.
Soup's kind of alluded to an injury, but it's been mysterious around him,
but it'd be helpful to get him back.
It would.
It would.
Anybody else?
No, not yet.
So we have six.
Did you write Dan back?
I tell him it wasn't a mess?
Yeah.
Is that a no?
He says, what's it entail?
Okay.
See, he's such a diva.
All right, we'll take a break.
Come back.
Hour number two.
