Another podcast from some SNL late-night comedy guy, not quite.
Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and Friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer, Streeter Seidel,
help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.

What's up, fam? It's Isaiah Thomas.
And I'm C.J. Toledano. It's our favorite time of the year on our podcast point game, the playoffs.
We're digging into the biggest surprises of the season. And I'm looking back on some of my
greatest playoff moments. If we didn't talk ever again, I was part of it. You just understood.
That's how personal it got. Wow. Then after that game seven, Marquis keep coming to. He's like,
you know I love you, dog. You know, it's all love. This was just playoffs. This was just basketball.

Your 20s can be so exciting, but they can also be really overwhelming, confusing, and honestly, just kind of lonely.
May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and the psychology of your 20s is breaking down the science behind the biggest roadblocks we face.
I was six years into my career, the 80-hour weeks, and just the first one in, the last one out, and I ended up burning out.
There was a large chunk of my 20s that I like was just so wanting to like be out of that phase out of my skin.
And I just like really regret not living in the present more.
You don't need to have everything figured out right now.
You just need to understand yourself a little bit better.

What's up guys?
This is Clivert Taylor the 4th.
And on my podcast, The Cliverts Show, I'm bringing you conversations about all kinds of stuff.
Like being an internet famous referee.
We're in the middle of the first.
of a game. This linebacker, this linebacker walks up to me, he goes, hey, ref, my mom wants you to wave at her.
What?
Time out.
Quarterback on office blue of 42.
Hey, rec, my mama want you to wave at her.
What?
Where's she at?
Hey, Miss Parker.

Welcome to Hour 2 of Kentucky Sports Radio presented by Stockton Mortgage.
Now here's Matt Jones.
Welcome back. Hour number two, Kentucky Sports Radio, here at the KS Bar and Grill.
Come on out and join us for lunch.
By the way, the bingles play tonight, 8 o'clock.
If you want to come watch the bingles play, yeah, probably be a small but vocal bingles contingent here.
Monday night football usually, as they say, separates the wheat from the chaff, the real bingles.
Paul, who kind of runs the bingles fan club here, he can't be there tonight because he's going to the game.
He's getting to go to the game.
but we'll save the tables here at the front for you to come watch if you want if the
bing if you want to pull the bingles a big game for bingles i feel like they got to win the night
right i mean i feel like they have to beat the commanders if they want to have a season only team
the nfell that is o and two are your or o and three are your tennessee titans drew uh with our guy will
yeah double header tonight money down football two games yeah jigs no manning cast though
yeah titans looking bad i was afraid this is going to happen uh will seems there a lot of fans ready to throw him
already, it's pretty ugly in Nashville.
Yeah. I mean, Will hasn't been great.
I'm not defending Will. But I don't know
what they expected Will Levis with that offensive
line that they've had the last couple years.
I mean, it is awful watching them
try to pass block. Can you,
can I give you my biggest takeaway from the NFL
yesterday? You are the NFL expert on this
career. That's exactly right.
I'm definitely the expert.
I was watching Sunday night football.
And at halftime of the Falcons
chief game, they showed a
montage that Arthur Blank, the owner
of the Falcons was being inducted into the Falcons ring of honor.
And I thought, that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard.
He owns the team.
So did he induct himself, Shannon, into the ring of honor?
I think that's what happened.
That would be like me having a Kentucky sports radio ring of honor and inducting myself into it.
Yeah, there's got to be a crew or a committee that elects you in.
You can't just do it yourself.
I mean, but who else would do it?
He owns the team.
I'm sure there's somebody that's on it.
And they've not won a Super Bowl when he's owned the team.
Well, but, okay, but neither have any of...
I mean, I guess he does...
I just can't imagine picking yourself for the ring of honor.
It'd be like Bill Gates is like, let's have the Microsoft Hall of Fame,
and then the 12th entry will be me.
Well, you started it.
I guess you should be in it.
I love it, and I look forward.
to him winning the Arthur Blank Lifetime Achievement Award at the end of the season.
I mean, we always say give people their flowers while they're still around.
He is giving himself his flowers.
Do you think he should name himself employee of the year?
He's like Miley Cyrus.
He can buy himself flowers.
He is buying himself flowers.
So if he were dead, you would agree with them putting him up there.
So he's just saying, I want to see myself go up there.
When he dies, I think you could posthumously, or actually, no.
I don't think his kids can put him in there either.
if they sell the team, then I think the new owner can put the old owner in the ring of honor.
Yes.
So like if the Mavs have a ring of honor, I think the new people could put Mark Cuban in.
But you can't put yourself in the ring of honor.
What's the point in getting rich enough to buy your own team if you can't put yourself in that team's Hall of Fame?
Yeah, clearly you can. He just did it.
He can do whatever he wants.
I mean, he's laughing at you this morning.
So like maybe one day KS.
will exist so long between the website, the radio, television, social media,
even the restaurant that I'll create a KSR Hall of Fame.
But I'm not allowed to put myself in it.
But you're one of the founding fathers.
But that's known.
It's known that the owner, the owner is not, the owner owns it.
It's not, you know.
I, when I first saw this, the president shouldn't be able to give the president
medal of freedom to himself.
There's a member of our crew here that, like, let's just say, for example, maybe the
OVW started a Hall of Fame, and maybe there's somebody that wrestles in OVW.
I think that person would pick himself maybe to be in the OVW Hall of Fame.
No, I can't put myself in the OVW Hall of Fame.
I know by Shannon.
But I can put Shannon in because Shannon is an employee.
But I can't.
That would be ridiculous to put yourself in the Hall of Fame.
I can see where you think is ridiculous, but you can't because he just did it.
It's right.
I thought of him sure can.
I thought it's great.
I hope he edited the highlight video that they showed himself.
I just, I own it.
I mean, that's exactly what it is, Shannon.
He just gets out there and he just says, I'm in.
What are you going to do about it?
And he waited until it was on national TV.
And by the way, they gave him a montage and didn't even act like he, like, they act like
he earned it.
Like in the montage, they did not say he owned the team.
Does he have a huge foundation that gives back?
He has a huge ego.
I know that.
No doubt.
Take the presidential middle of freedom, and then I'll stop.
Presidents have given that to pass presidents.
So, like, Obama gave it to Gerald Ford for, like, helping heal the country by pardoning Nixon.
Probably nobody would argue.
And I think Jimmy Carter has it.
But, like, Biden can't give it to himself, right?
That would be a heck of a way to go out.
That would be.
Before I give up the White House.
Yeah, all right.
Who's up next?
Josh.
Josh, go ahead, Josh.
Good morning, gentlemen.
Thanks for taking my call.
I enjoyed Kentucky's performance Saturday and was encouraged by it.
And after the position rankings came out, I thought should we give Gavin Wimson a driver
to and see what he can do in the first half against Ole Miss?
No, I don't think so.
But I will say Gavin Wimitt was number one.
in the player rankings.
It's also worth noting, though, that the vast majority of the plays were with the game 34 to 6
and people kind of ready to go home.
So, I mean, I think, but Gavin was the highest ranked player on the player ratings.
I'll also note Brock Van der Gryff was third.
So it wasn't like Brock Van derogryff was way down.
Brock Van derogryff was right underneath him.
And Dane was second.
Yeah.
By the way, so the top three were all Ryan on offense.
I thought Brock played really well.
I mean, I don't really had any complaints of it.
He's best, I think, as he's comfortable back there.
Wimson, they just need him to come in for certain situations.
I think he's proven.
He can be that guy if you need him.
I did like the fact, though, he did do that last drive, Drew,
so that if we lose Brock Vandigriff, and history says there'll be at least one game this year
where Brought Vandergriff will not play,
because we've had a quarterback get hurt in every season,
pretty much every season except one in the last eight years.
So there's a very good chance there's going to be a Gavin Wimitt game.
It was good to see that, like, we'll be able to move the ball maybe because in some of these last few years, we haven't been able to do that.
Yeah, we know what he can do with his legs.
He even showed some of that.
He had about a 10-yard run, but he made a throw that I didn't know he was capable of.
I think he had two completions.
One of them was to the sideline down the field, hit the guy in the numbers, kept him in bounds.
That was something I didn't know he was capable of.
That was very promising to see when he made that, whether it was against, you know, Ohio, what they had at that point, no matter what the score was.
That throw was awesome.
Yeah, 859, 2,80, 22, 80s.
How was the crowd, by the way?
it filled in a little after kickoff this time i don't know if there were gate issues usually i'm
walking around there could have been and it was good till fourth quarter fourth quarter it was friends and
i'll be honest i'll be i left the press box to go down we did our little react react reaction on the field
it was hot as hell people were telling me that but i was inside stepping out there i kind of don't blame
people for leaving the fourth quarter of that game it was very hot out there if you're not somebody
that goes to the stadium regularly anymore now that they've enclosed the whole stadium and that they've
built all the stuff everywhere.
I think it gets a lot hotter on the field than it used to.
And in the bowl.
Not as much air circulation.
There's not as much air circulation.
So when you have a day like that where it's sitting heavy, I was not there, but I bet it is,
I mean, Peter Burns told me it was as hot as he could remember when he was doing the pregame and the half-time.
And it didn't help you.
There was the rain before the game.
I think that kind of create a little bit of a sauna effect.
Yes, that makes it to where it's kind of like a sauna in there.
Yeah.
And that, it drives.
As I understand it, the water, again, I'm not, I'm going to sound like I don't know anything about signs.
The water drains in the field, but it's like, I don't know if it's still there just hanging out or something, but like it's still, it still can make it hot even though if it's not making the field slippery.
I don't know how that works, but.
Photosynthesis, photosynthesis.
Photosynthesis.
What is it?
That's what it is.
How does that play?
The sun hits the water on the turf.
goes out to the fans heats up all the evaporation that's photos synthesis yeah you get it uh but i would
answer your question from kickoff till the third quarter pretty good crowd there is you know you get
the little pocket up in the corner that's empty but uh it's been a lively crowd for every game that
they've been in there but they left a little early oh man wearing my lexington fc t-shirt solexington sporting
looks good yeah tough loss yesterday women did we yep i didn't like that but we're still we're
all right we'll bounce back we'll bounce back uh who's up next jerry
Jerry Jerry how are you Jerry Jerry you not paying attention Jerry you're not a KSR Collar Hall of Fame
yeah let's try a KSR Collar Hall of Fame who would be our first inductee class real quick
John Short short got to be in yeah JT JT JT Harvey Harvey Harold Harold Chester Rose Rose
yes who else that's six really good initial James town J Rock let me tell you so
Bobby James Town.
Don't, don't.
Pretty legendary.
He's calling right now.
Okay, well, you know what?
Let's just, let's slow down.
I think there are some other people we can induct before we get to that group.
You don't want to talk to Bobby's here right now.
He's here.
He's here.
He's here.
He's here.
He's on.
Let's try someone else.
Maybe a non-hall of fame potential inductee.
Who's next?
Mason.
Mason.
Go ahead, Mason.
Hey, what's going on, guys?
What's up?
actually a football player here at Hanover, and I saw Ryan pregame Saturday.
And I was really confused.
And then I saw Josiah.
And it all made sense because our staff has been talking about how we wanted them.
And it's just it's a lot better program than Franklin.
Oh, I love it.
There we go.
So a Hanover player, you're calling.
So the guy gave the quick argument for Franklin.
and give me the 15-second pitch for Hanover.
Hanover, we actually went to Italy and April and May and played a game against their semi-pro team.
Wait a minute.
You played a football game in April and Italy?
Yes, sir.
We went in May, or April or May.
Wow.
That's got to be an expensive trip to go to Italy to play a football game.
That's awesome, actually.
Yeah, so if you want to go.
travel the country, win more football games than Franklin, just come over to Hanover.
Oh, listen.
Nice.
I love it.
I like this.
That was a little shook night there.
I appreciate the call.
Yeah, every four years, they go overseas and play a game, so every once during your four
years there, you get to go overseas and play.
Somebody who's just been to Italy, that has to be an unbelievably expensive trip.
To fly a college football team to Italy and start.
day in Italy, which is not cheap.
Where'd they go in Italy?
I think it was northern Italy.
That's the most expensive part, like Lake Como?
I'm not sure.
I think their next trip is Greece.
It's a little cheaper, but it's not cheap.
Where are they going in Greece?
I'm not sure.
Yeah, but they get to play a game against a semi-pro team.
It's like a semi-pro team.
They were like 30-year-old dudes apparently on the team they played.
Did they beat them?
Yes, Hanover won.
Yes.
They beat 30-year-old dudes.
Yeah.
Maybe the 30-year-old dudes paid.
You know, they're the home team.
Maybe.
I mean, I'm just sitting here thinking to fly.
How many people are on the football team?
I don't know how many they took, but they probably didn't.
They probably took a shortened roster, like maybe 50.
I don't know, maybe.
I mean, 50 and coaches to fly.
Equipment?
To Italy.
Yeah.
Equipment.
I mean, that is an expensive trip.
Who knew Hanover?
Drew had that kind of cash.
And you wouldn't put the jersey on in a photo shoot for this school?
Maybe next time.
I would have painted the field if they asked me to.
I do anything part of this international college football team we have nearby.
I would have done it, but Josiah's eyes told me, Dad, do not do this.
Well, Josiah doesn't get to decide everything.
You're the one paying for school.
Draft Kings.
I don't know if Hanover Franklin is on draft Kings.
But if it is, I'm going to pick that kid who just called to score a touchdown.
Tutsdowns matter more at Draft Kings.
Tom Brady said Tuddy.
I was going to say that to you.
I heard it.
I bust out laughing when he said it.
Tom Brady's got to work for Draft Kings because they keep telling us to say it.
We don't care how you score them.
Bet on touchdowns at Draft Kings.
It's delivering.
If you're ready to place your first bet, go to the Draft King's sportsbook.
Make your pick.
It is Draft Kings.
And you can do a touchdown dance of your own.
The code is KSR.
Five bucks.
You get $200 in bonus bets from Draftings.
The crown is yours.
If you have a gaming problem, call 180 gambor, 18 plus in Kentucky,

By the way, KSR Parley,
tell me about it.
Matt Jones.
picks Tennessee to beat Oklahoma.
When?
Shannon the dude.
West Virginia over Kansas.
Or win.
Yep.
Ryan Lemon, Arkansas over Auburn.
Win.
Three of three.
We need one more.
Drew Franklin's supposed to know everything.
Whoops.
He picks USC over Michigan lose on the last play
or we hit our KSR parlay for the first time this year.
We'll get that close.
I'll get to Michigan.
I totally blame Michigan.
Actually, I play the USC's defense.
They wouldn't stack the box.
We were one play away. Yeah, it was that close.
One play away for him.
Blame Lincoln Raleigh.
If you'd stack the box because Michigan wasn't throwing,
they don't run the ball down the field, and we're counting our money right now.
We'll take a break.
Barry back, KSaw.

What's up, fam? It's Isaiah Thomas.
And I'm C.J. Toledano and our podcast Point Game is about defining the odds.
Like LeBron heading into the playoffs without Luca and Austin Reed.
And finding ways to win no matter what.
He's the smartest player to ever play the game.
His IQ is at a level that we've never seen before.
And he knows.
Without Luca and Austin Reeves, I got to manipulate the game.
We get a player's perspective on the challenges of the playoffs.
I think Joker's going to be exhausted this series
because when they don't have Rudy in the lineup,
he has to really guard guys like Nas Reid.
He has to guard Julius Randall.
And then he has to give us everything he gives us
on the night-to-night basis on offense.
And when IT's friends stop by, like Quentin Richardson,
we dive into some playoff history too.
Steve Nash would get that thing.
That man, hell get to fly.
He running up the court,
licking his fingers, why he got the ball, like,
you go through a training camp with that Isaiah,
you figure it out.
real quick.
Oh, yeah.
Get your ass up and down the court, and you're going to get the ball.

the overthinking, the heartbreak, the identity crisis, all of it that comes with being in your 20s.
Because if you've ever thought, is anybody else feeling this way?
They definitely are.
I feel like my 20s was a process of checking off everything that I was not good at to get to what I was good at.
Oftentimes we take everything a little bit too seriously and we get lost in things that we later on decide weren't even important to us to begin when.
There was a large chunk of my 20s that I, like, was just so wanting to, like, be out of that phase out of my skin.

Welcome back, Techie Sports Radio.
Josephine is also for that.
That's an old school.
Yes.
KSR caller.
Unfortunately, a lot of our Hall of Fame has passed away, but that's why they're in
a Hall of Fame.
It's right.
It's like you can remember.
Josephine, how many callers have been so great?
We went to their house.
Right?
I mean, we went to her house.
Went to her house.
She fed us.
She cooked for us.
It's hard to see us going to someone's
house now, but we did with her.
That's when she talked about how cute she thought
Devin Booker was. That's right.
She was early on the Devin Booker.
That was like early in his first year.
She was like, talk about cute. She thought Devin Booker was.
Way before Jenner found him.
Handsome Jimmy.
Another one. He passed away. Also.
Another one passed away.
I love my card.
We're going to take it down.
Rickapito, baby.
Tommy Drew, baby.
He did a good.
He's a very foghorn, leghorn.
Hey, man, I'm a handsome Jimmy, baby.
I love him, man.
I serve.
When I first started, when I first started, all, you know, the fake callers, fake, Daniel Orton's dad, Larry Orton.
Lou Holtz.
A lot of them were the same guy, though.
He just was really, I think he was, I think he was pretty good.
Fake Barney?
Yeah, 859-280-2287.
One person said, I love you guys, and Drew's my favorite person on the show.
Thank you.
However, that explanation of photosynthesis was the worst thing I've ever heard.
Photosynthesis is how plants feed themselves.
What in the world is Drew talking about?
Well, you were talking about the water staying on the turf.
Turf is not plants, though.
Again, not with that attitude.
I'm just trying to, you were talking about how it got hot
and the sun and the water and our fake plants,
and I was trying to tie it all together with what Ms. Carrico taught me
in seventh grade at Browning Springs Middle School.
It didn't sit.
Not with that attitude is funny.
All right, so you just said they made an announcement.
Some breaking news.
Breaking news.
Running no, nah.
Thank you for that.
UK athletics just announced the ticket info for Big Blue Madness,
presented by the Ronald McDonald House.
Oh, okay.
They will be distributed exclusively online,
so no camp out this year again at Ticketmaster starting Friday at 5 p.m.
Friday at 5 p.m.
All right, so Friday at 5 p.m. Big Blue Madness,
I hate that they do it by Ticketmaster.
There may not be another way logistically to do it,
but it always leads to scalpers getting it, unfortunately.
But now you know how to get it.
ticket master there's a limit of four per household maybe that'll help with the scalpers yeah but don't
they use like farms they do they have all these machines and then they get all the the swifty tickets
and they get all the big blue madness tickets and then we have to buy secondary yeah 859
280 2287 uh text machine 7 7 727 27 4 5254 okay in a situation yeah everyone say a prayer for one of our
listeners right now.
Won't you go check on that?
Okay.
Who's up next?
Let's go to Adam.
Adam.
Adam, go ahead, Adam.
Hey, what's up, fellas?
Talking about Arthur Blank.
It reminds me a lot of Jackie Moon and semi-pro.
A very Jackie Moon moves.
You guys know what that movie is.
What is that?
I've not seen that movie.
I do know semi-propero.
Okay, yeah.
Yeah, the tropics.
Will Farrell, he takes over the team, and he plays the team to.
I know, but what's the move?
Oh, okay.
I got you.
You're saying the Arthur Blanket.
Yes.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That's something Jackie Moon would have done.
So it's a very, uh, Jack.
Phone move, but I'm going to see you.
I appreciate.
Appreciate the call.
Uh, thank you very much.
Everything all right?
Okay.
Good.
It's wonderful in here.
Yeah.
Ryan's a good guy.
859-280, 2287.
Sorry, it was just a little situation.
Well, it all kind of shook us there for a second.
Yeah.
No, it's okay.
All right.
Who's up next?
Mike.
Mike.
Mike.
What's up, Mike?
Hey, guys.
What's going on?
Doing okay.
A couple things off topic, actually.
You mentioned John Short.
First off, has anybody heard from him?
Calls the football pregame.
Did he pretty much every show.
I think for what I understand, Shannon, he calls the pre-show.
He does.
And he doesn't call us, which I don't know if it's a form of protest,
but he will call the football and basketball pregame shows.
I think he just, I don't think he likes to wait on hold.
And so I think that's, you know, listen, he's a busy man.
Yeah, yeah, get John through, man.
All right.
Hey, but actually, my real question was I just rewatched wresters over the weekend.
Great show.
I'm assuming a second season isn't going to happen.
I'm assuming not now.
Okay.
They were supposed to tell us last week, one way or the other, but they actually still haven't.
So I don't, but I'm assuming not.
I mean, the guy that did it, I know wants to do one, but he also did that Dallas
Cowboys Cheerleaders show, and that was a massive success for them, and I'm sure they probably
are pushing him to do more of those.
But I will say this.
W&B is coming on.
Go ahead.
Yeah.
Can we get an update on some of the guys?
Some of the guys.
Yeah, sure.
I mean, I'm glad to do that.
I appreciate the call.
First of all, people ask me if I'm still involved.
I am.
We had a thing where we brought in a minority owner, and they were managing it, and there's some
transition there.
so you'll probably hear me more talk about that more later.
But yes, I'm still involved.
I've been on the periphery for a while.
Cashflow is in the new season of Tulsa King.
For people who've seen it.
Have you seen it?
I hear he does a good job.
He does he.
He's very good.
So cash flow goes from that and he's on,
and now he's back wrestling with us.
Haley is all over.
Like she, she,
Hayley's done very well because of that show.
She wrestled, including still with us,
but she does wow,
which is like women of wrestling.
Layla and Luke,
who got engaged during the show,
they just went there training for New Japan.
So that's kind of exciting, isn't it?
It's awesome.
It's promoted then.
Yeah, Shira is still...
This is the update we want.
Shira's still with us.
He also, though, wrestles for NWA now, some as well.
But the cup holder.
The cup holder is fixed.
The cup holder has been fixed.
I think that's good to know.
The cup holder's been fixed.
Al Snow is still a pushover.
I can still kick his butt just like I did.
House Snow still has his butt kicked.
And then Freya is still with us, but also goes,
they've all gotten, pretty much everybody who's in that show has gotten more opportunities
to wrestle all over the place, which is, you know, a really, really cool thing.
Who's next?
Joe.
Joe, 859-280, 2287.
Oh, yeah, cash flow, by the way, also went to Hubby's kids elementary school.
and help them put on a little performance.
Really?
Cashlow's the best, too.
Go ahead.
Joe, Matt, how you doing?
Good, go ahead.
Not to get political, but, no, I think Drew will agree with me on this one.
A while back, and maybe I can convince you, a while back you said you really don't agree with
or believe the fast food apps, like you don't use them.
I don't.
And I think you should give them a try.
I think you order ahead, seven minutes before you get there.
You get nice rewards.
And I don't want to be political, but I think it's a great way to go.
I appreciate the call.
Here's my problem, especially with the McDonald's app.
When I'm in McDonald's, I now more and more have somebody in front of me going,
six, four, three, one, like trying to read their thing, and it takes forever,
and then they go, that one doesn't work.
Two, five, I don't like it.
It used to be quicker.
Got to be prepared.
T.J. Smith, personal injury attorney.
Call T.J. He'll make them pay.
Now, more of Kentucky Sports Radio presented by Stockton Mortgage.
Here's Matt Jones.
Welcome back. It is Kentucky Sports Radio here at KS. Bar.
Come on, I have lunch.
The Bengals tonight, they play at 8 o'clock.
We'll have both Monday night games.
And if you want to come hang with the Bengals fans here,
should be a Monday night, hopefully victory.
I need them to win against the commencement.
Anders. I'll tell you who else needs them to win, the KSR Survivor League.
KSR Survivor League has a chance to go down as of all the games we've done on KSR,
maybe the biggest disaster.
Because Survivor leagues are supposed to last 10 to 12, 14 weeks.
Yeah, easy.
There's a chance after tonight, Shannon, the league ends now.
Well, that would be very KSR for that to happen.
So we had 27 teams after week one because the Bengals law.
Then we were down to only 11 this week.
But those 11 people picked five different teams.
So I thought, all right, well, we'll at least get into week four.
Oh, no.
Four people had the Buccaneers, loss.
Two people had the Browns.
Loss.
Two people had the Raiders.
Loss.
We're down to three people.
We're down to slice.
I love this.
Who has the Buffalo Bills?
Okay.
and Joe Fortinbaugh and Tim Couch, who have the bingles.
Both have the bingles?
Which means there's a scenario where if the commanders win and the Jaguars win,
no one wins our league.
That would be so KSR, man.
Not one person would have gotten through the first three rounds.
Restart the match.
Restart the match.
But think about that.
Running back.
No one makes it through round three.
That's crazy.
There's also a scenario where the bills.
win, the commanders beat the bingles, and Slice, who is probably the most random person in the league.
How many people even know Slice's name?
I don't know that I would have gotten it until you said it, Barry Rorson.
I know it now, but I would have had to think about it.
Barry Rorson, former UK assistant coach, would get the win.
Or if you get the bingles and the Jaguars, it will be the class.
classic Tim Couch Joe Fortinbaugh battle for the title.
And tonight we have a six-point favorite and a seven-point favorite,
which you think, oh, they're in good shape.
But those have been all the losers so far this season.
The biggest underdogs have been losing straight up.
What's great is that Tim Couch, when I ask him to be in, it goes,
I don't know what that is.
And I had to explain to him how to do it, and now he might win it.
He's one of those guys just wins everything he does, right?
Tim Couch is not fair.
He wins at life.
He is a cheat code to life.
Amen.
He really is.
He's good.
Good at football.
Good at basketball.
Good at picking up heavy things.
Nice.
Ripped.
Handsome.
Ladies love him.
Has made a ton of money and keeps making money.
And just keeps making money left and right.
He is not fair.
He's got a bourbon?
I didn't even know that.
He's in the bourbon game.
He's not fair.
And if he wins this.
league two got his own statue yeah he got that thursday
arthur blank has a statue
i don't think that's part part of me just kind of secretly is pulling for
slice tonight though just because it's so random for him to be in the final three
yeah i want disaster go jacksonville go washington and the league goes with no
winner all right who's next joe joe go ahead joe go ahead joe 59 280280s
yeah i'm here man go ahead uh
statement in a question.
The statement is I want to
tell you you got a new listener. My wife's just
retired and she's a big time
today. Listen to your show.
Thank you very much.
And the question is
does Mark Stoops have a way
out now if he loses to the Louisville?
Can he blame the
ACC officials
if we lost a big game? First of all
I mean it wouldn't be against what they
did, but I'm
depends on what the call is, but I don't
I don't think so.
I appreciate the call.
Let me ask you that.
There are people who are riding me saying, Ryan, that it's ridiculous to say we can compete with Old Miss.
But we would have said the same thing about Georgia.
Do you think it's ridiculous to say that game we can be in it in the fourth quarter?
I don't think it's ridiculous.
I mean, we all agree Kentucky is going to be a deservedly so an underdog.
But the defense Kentucky is going to bring down there is what's going to keep them in a lot of these games.
It kept them into the Georgia game.
Of course, they didn't show up much against South Carolina.
but this is a defense that Ole Miss has not seen yet this year.
So that's why I think Kentucky does have a chance just because of their defense.
O'Mitt, Georgia was a sort of traditional team that we tend to play well.
The high-powered teams at times have given us problems.
Do you worry about that Saturday?
I do a little.
The Tennessee's Ole Miss, just with the way Brad White plays his defense,
you're kind of susceptible to getting carved up against a good quarterback,
which Ole Miss has in Jackson Dart.
I'm with Ryan, though.
Kentucky's defense is so good.
won't surprise me at all if they hold Ole Miss way below what everyone thinks they'll do.
I don't think Kentucky can win the game, but I won't count them out of anything with that defense
is how special they are.
I just worry about that offense getting points.
David Bell fired by the Reds.
It's odd to me, Shannon, you would fire a guy with a week left.
Yeah, he's so bad you can't even finish out the season.
He's been there six years.
I guess you could let him finish the week.
They're giving him a head start for his next job.
Maybe so.
I'm glad they're doing it, though.
But, you know, the job is now a more attractive job.
They got a ton of young players.
I think they'll be able to get a good manager.
And I'm still confident for the future.
To be honest, in my opinion, it was time for him to, it was time for him to go.
I think, like you said, it is going to be attractive for another manager because they're loaded with a lot of great young talent.
Yeah.
You know, a manager, I'm sure, of good managers thinking, okay, I can take that talent and maybe develop a winner in a couple years.
I still, though, I'll tell you what, if the Castellini dude ever puts himself in the Wall of Fame, that'll be a ceremony where you get booed out of the stadium.
Yeah, do you trust him to find a new manager?
No, but what am I going to do?
He gets booed anyway.
They're telling me now, you know, they keep trying to get me to renew the season tickets.
And, you know, they do this thing where you can swing for your seats.
Do you know about this?
Oh, yeah, swing for, if you hit one over the fence.
the home run, your season tickets are free.
You're free.
And you can get someone else to hit for you, but they can't have played,
there's like a rule of how good they can be.
They can't be like a ringer.
You can't get L.A. Dela Cruz to swing for you?
Yeah, I can't get L.A. Dela Cruz out there to swing for me.
So, and if, so anyway, they're now offering, they sent me an email that was like,
if you do it, you can try it and have someone else try it.
So I almost get two shots at it for my seats.
You should do it just for the fun of it.
Just because you get a hit a couple.
But here's the question.
You can't have a current college, minor, or pro player,
and you can't have a player who ever played minors or pro.
Oh, okay.
So you can have a former college player,
but like he can't have played in the last few years.
Like there's some state.
So who would I get to do it?
You're sitting next to him.
I'll watch him hit a home run in a legend's ball.
In all serious, do you think in batting practice at Red Stadium, which is a short fence, okay,
do you think you could hit one?
I know I can't.
So, like, it's kind of a way.
I might go do it just to have fun, but I know I'm not going to be able to do it.
Do you think you can do it?
In my prime, I only hit three home runs in my high school and in my college career.
I'm not a home run guy.
No, I'm not going to be your guy.
Shannon?
No, sorry, I was a pitcher.
We need to find, though, the best high school player.
in Kentucky and bring him along with you.
I don't think they can be a current one, but if there was a player that just graduated
that is not going to play in college, that is someone I think I would be allowed to you.
There's probably some of those dudes, those slow-pitched softball guys that can just hit bombs
that are probably still, they could probably go out there and help you.
You think so?
Yeah.
I don't know any of them right now.
Everyone was listening.
Yeah, I was thinking that I was thinking you might be the guy, but you're not.
Three home runs in my college career and my prime.
I'm not hitting one out.
I think it's still a base for you, though.
Yeah, there we go.
Ask him if I can steal a base for my seats.
Tell me about Stockton Mortgage.
Stockton Mortgage, you know, I told the story about the guy who contacts me over the weekend.
He is currently working with a guy, a mortgage lender with Stockton Mortgage from listing these commercials,
and Stockton Mortgage is going to totally take care of them.
So they're telling you, man, if you're thinking about buying a new home or refinancing your house
or do a cash-out equity refinance, you do yourself a favor.
least give Stockton Mortgage a call and see what kind of program they may have for you.
There are a lot of programs out there, but Stockton Mortgage can probably adjust their program to fit your needs even better.
So go to Stockton.com.
There's a button there that says, get started.
Stockton Mortgage, MLS, a 259, equal housing lender.
One person writes, Matt, you haven't given us the update on the guy who did the interview from his car.
How's he doing?
He's exactly the same as he was on the show.
So I can say he has not changed at all.
What was this?
The interview from a car?
That's not registered.
Eric Darkstorm.
Oh, from wrestlers.
Oh, yeah.
The guy they had bill off at the end to show off that car.
He is exactly the same.
So he's still with you guys too?
No.
No?
No.
He pursued other opportunities.
Yeah, I didn't have anything to do with it, but I think he, I don't know exactly what happened.
But he's, he is pursuing other opportunity.
At the end of wrestlers, the dude that ended up face down on the mat, whatever happened to him.
Oh, you mean the guy Al beat up?
Yes.
That was it with the whole show, he did with him embarrassing.
The guy that got hit with the illegal object, he's still the radio champion out here.
Never heard. Never heard what happened to him, actually. I hope he's doing all right.
We'll take a break. Be right back. It's Keis-on.
Last night, a blown call changed a game. This morning, the internet lost its mind.
Highlights are trending, opinions are flying, and nobody's telling you exactly what happened.
That's where Sports Slice comes in.
I'm Timbo. Every episode, we're cutting through the noise.
Breaking down the plays, the controversies, and the stories behind the headlines.
We go straight to the source, the athlete themselves. Their locker room stories,
their reactions, the stuff nobody gets to hear.
The laughs, the drama, the triumphs, the moments that never make the highlight real.
From viral moments to historic games, from buzzer beaters to controversial calls, we break it down,
give you context, and ask the questions everybody wants answered.
SportsSlice brings you closer to the action with stories told by the people who live them.

What's up, fam?
It's Isaiah Thomas.
And I'm C.J. Toledano, and our podcast, Point Game is about defying the odds.
Like LeBron heading into the playoffs without Luca and Austin Reed.
And finding ways to win no matter what.
He's the smartest player to ever play the game.
His IQ is at a level that we've never seen before.
And he knows without Luca and Austin Reeves, I got to manipulate the game.
We get a player's perspective on the challenges of the playoffs.
I think Joker's going to be exhausted this series because when they don't have Rudy in the
lineup, he has to really guard guys like
Nas Reid. He has to guard Julius
Randall. And then he has to give us everything
he gives us on the night-to-night basis on offense.
And when IT's friends stop by, like Quentin Richardson,
we dive into some playoff history too.
Steve Nash would get that thing. That man,
hell get the flying. He running up the court,
licking his fingers why he got the ball.
After you go through a training camp with that, Isaiah,
you figure it out real quick.
Get your ass up and down the court, and you're going to get the ball.
So listen to Point Game.
on the IHeart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
What's up, guys?
This is Clever Taylor the 4th.
And on my podcast, The Cliverts Show, I'm bringing you conversations about all kinds of
stuff.
Like being an internet famous referee.
We're in the middle of a game.
This linebacker, this linebacker walks up to me.
He goes, hey, ref, my mom wants you to wave at her.
What?
Time out.
Quarterback on office blue with 42.
A rep.
My mama want you to wave at her.
What?
Hey, Ms. Parker.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and your 20s, they can feel like a lot.
On the psychology of your 20s podcast, we unpack the anxiety, the overthinking, the heartbreak, the identity crisis, all of it that comes with being in your 20s.
There was a large chunk of my 20s that I was just so wanting to be out of that phase out of my skin.
And I just like really regret not living in the present more.
Each week we break down the science behind what you're going through and give you real tools to navigate it.
Your 20s aren't about having it all figured out.
They're about understanding yourself just a little bit better.

Home run.
Bye, man.
I know the words to this song, Shannon.
No, let's hear it.
Come on.
I can't.
A lot of them are cuss words.
No, no, this is the clean version.
Yeah, but I got to, in my head, it's one of those things.
No, I don't think I do, actually.
This was the song, turned it up just a little bit in the background.
When I was in law school, and if I had, you had take-home finals?
Yeah.
Okay, this is ridiculous.
So you had take home, like, some of my exams were in person,
but some of them they'd give them to you and you had 24 hours to take them home and then turn them in.
And they were hard.
Like, you'd have to probably work 10 or 12.
of those hours. So I had a place in my, at the time, the girl I was seen's house,
she would let me have it for 24 hours and I would take the thing. And then, you know, I couldn't
work the whole time. So I'd work a couple hours and take a break. And then, Shannon, when I took a break,
I'd play this song. Okay. And I'd, like, run around and rap this song by myself. Has to be one of
the more embarrassing videos that could exist of me. But this was my law school exam.
break anthem, Shannon.
Well, I always think about law exams when I hear this song.
Yes.
So every time I hear this song, you know a song?
Oh, yes.
But Black said, what is it?
Sometimes a melody will take you back to a memory.
This one takes me back to taking law school finals.
When you're walking around saying, you should see me now, I'm eating wheaties now.
Yes, this is a little way.
And second, third, moving home, getting greedy now.
All right, I'm going to stop.
9-280.
2280. Let's talk about the schedule this week. Tomorrow we're in studio, rare in studio day.
Wednesday and Thursday here at KS. Bar, Friday at Ham Days in Marion County. I have a request for the people of Marion County. I know part of Ham Days is throwing the hay.
Yes. There's a hay throwing. One of our recruits wins it every year, right? I know I'm right about this. We have a kid who's either at UK football or coming. No, the kid from Campbellsville.
He wins it. Hayes Johnson.
Hayes Johnson.
He's won it like two different years.
The throwing of the hay.
Here's what I want, though.
My friends are coming because we're leaving from Oxford for there.
And we're here.
I want us to have a hay throwing contest.
I want to see which of us can throw the hay the farthest.
So if you would, in Marion County, if you would have one of the official hay tossing things there,
I would like for Mario to film as we all tossing that.
I think it'd be a great stunt to do out there
because usually if they have it in the same spot,
there's plenty of room.
I don't have to worry about it.
You know, we interfere with anything.
I love it.
Yeah.
I'm going to eat some ham too.
Is this where they have the, like the eating competition?
Yeah, the biscuit eating contest.
Yes.
One person writes, Matt, I went and saw Nelly at the Reds Friday.
That's right.
If you went to the Reds game Friday,
the post game was a Nelly concert.
And apparently it was a very old crowd.
Nelly's core demographic is not young.
You know who Nelly is, Mario, right?
Would you know Nelly's songs?
He knows the viral ones, but you wouldn't know, like, the one I just played,
I bet you wouldn't know, batter up?
Country grammar?
Country grammar?
Wait a minute, you don't know.
Wait a minute, hang on, you don't know country grammar?
Oh, my goodness.
We are old.
That hurt me more than he'll ever know.
Like, you don't, you've really never heard country.
country grammar street sweepers nothing he may maybe you've heard you know air force
one or britt a in my air force boy you don't know that one what all white well
oh man nothing wow we are true we are old he don't get them colors he's done have to be all of our
son you realize that i'm at home getting dying i thought i thought country grammar would would
outlive all of us and you're telling me mario i was playing him rap songs the whole
trip to Green Bay that he did he tribe called quest scenario one of my favorite songs of all
time never never heard it before yeah this hurts anyway this is worse than when kids they don't even know
john wallis i can't think about that who's next let's go to bob and jamesstown bob and jamestown
how are you what do you say matt were you kind of surprised about david bell i mean he's lost
46 sport games in six years no it was time he's been there six years and i know like it's not
been a great team, but it was time. It was time for him to go. It's time for a new era.
Were you surprised Taylor Swift didn't make an appearance at the Chief Day?
I did not have an opinion on Taylor Swift being at the game last night or not.
Appreciate the call. She probably has a life. She can't go to every. I mean, Ryan doesn't even go to
every game. She can't go to every game, right? I was expecting her to be there.
Big primetime Sunday night show. It's kind of, you know, big spotlight on the Chiefs.
I think she's all right. I don't know that she needs that. True. She doesn't really need it for her.
It amazes me how it's still a talking point, whether they show her too much or she's not there.
Who cares?
She's on for like a total of 20 seconds when she's there anyway.
We've talked about before in my lifetime, biggest music stars, like stars, Michael Jackson,
Yes.
Madonna.
Yes.
I mean, is it now Beyonce and Taylor Swift?
Is that what we're talking about is like in our life?
I mean, the Beatles and Elvis, that's a different generation, but they're on.
But in terms of just being a star, is she the biggest since Michael Jackson?
I think you can make a great argument that she absolutely is the biggest thing since Michael Jackson.
I think she is.
I mean, Michael Jackson was like that.
Yeah.
And she draws that where, like, if she goes and gets a cup of coffee, it's shutting down streets
because people are leaving what they're doing to walk that direction and hope they get a glimpse of her.
Yeah, it is kind of crazy.
All right, let's finish with UK football here for a second.
The UK football going in the Old Miss game, a 17 and a half point underdog.
That is a massive spread for a team that just played Georgia to a one-point game.
Drew, don't you feel like that's high?
I thought it would be like 13 maybe, but 17 and a half, like that's really a no respect.
I mean, for Kentucky, Ohio, it opened, I mean, it was 20 for a while, right?
I'm aware.
It's not so high that I'm going to bet it.
I think the logic there is if Ole Miss is moving the ball.
I mean, they could blow them out, and Lane Kiffin looks to blow teams out.
You guys?
Outside of James Franklin, nobody wants to cover more than Lane Kiffin.
So if they're able to move the ball and score on Kentucky, I think it'll be very ugly.
Do you think it's a minute ago, though?
I just, I don't worry about Kentucky scoring.
That's my whole issue.
That's it.
Ole Miss is averaging like, what, 50 points a game?
But they still haven't played anybody.
I mean, like literally nobody.
I know it's Wake, but they will wake pretty good.
But they had more fans there than Wake was.
Yeah, and Kentucky's better than Wake, but that was still a blowout.
So if they, let's just say that if they score 50, you're confident Kentucky could score more than 33.
They're not getting 50.
First of all, they're not, if they score 50, then they're not getting 50.
No, if they score 50, no.
I mean, look, if they score 31, we're not winning.
But.
What do you think the magic number is?
For how many points we need to score to win?
Yes.
I got a number in my head.
I think for us to win, we need to score 28.
Sometimes the thoughts in my head just jump in your head.
Please don't say that to me.
You're like the same person.
I know it.
Same thought process.
Sometimes I can't tell you two apart.
Please don't say that.
That's not, don't say that.
It's like you'll have one brain.
Matt's like in Halliberry right now.
Yeah.
It's amazing.
Stop saying that.
That was the most depressing thing you've ever said.
Court physical therapy.

Another podcast from some SNL late night comedy guy, not quite.
Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, S&L's Mikey Day and headwriter, Streeter Seidel,
help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.

This morning, the internet lost its mind, and nobody's telling you exactly what happened.
That's where Sports Slice comes in.

Your 20s can be so exciting, but they can also be really overwhelming.
confusing, and honestly, just kind of lonely.
May is Mental Health Awareness Month,
and the psychology of your 20s
is breaking down the science behind the biggest roadblocks we face.
I was six years into my career, the 80-hour weeks,
and just the first one in, the last one out,
and I ended up burning out.
There was a large chunk of my 20s that I, like,
was just so wanting to, like, be out of that phase out of my skin,
and I just, like, really regret not living in the present more.
You don't need to have everything figured out right now.
You just need to understand your sense.
yourself a little bit better.
