Another podcast from some SNL late-night comedy guy, not quite.
Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and Friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel,

Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.

I'm bringing you conversations about all kinds of stuff. Like being an internet famous referee.
We're in the middle of a game. This linebacker, this linebacker walks up to me. He goes,
Hey, ref, my mom wants you to wave at her. What?
Time out.
Quarterback on office blue 42.
A rep, my mama want you to wave at her.
What?
Where's she at?
Hey, Miss Parker.

Welcome to Hour 2 of Kentucky Sports Radio presented by Stockton Mortgage.
Now here's Matt Jones.
Welcome back. Hour 2 since Kentucky Sports Radio.
859-280-2287.
All right.
So people are riding in with the people who were very, very famous that just now you don't ever hear about.
By the way, Nancy Kerrigan works for an animal thing.
She does.
Yes.
Good for her.
Also, I'm happy to report that Pat O'Brien is alive.
Pat O'Brien is alive.
Good.
Okay.
We're the rest of the day.
Cato Cailin.
Oh, that's a good one.
Yeah, Cato Cajun.
All those people.
Judge Ito, Marsha Clark, Christopher Darden, Johnny Cochran's dead.
Robert Shapiro, he may be dead to.
And the Cardette, Robert Kardashian, like three of them are dead.
Is Judge Edo still alive?
I'm going to go with yes.
Okay.
Marsha Clark, I see occasionally it's like speaking somewhere or something.
Here's a good one.
Charles Ramsey.
Dad, give away.
Still, one of my favorite KSR shows that I wasn't even on that show.
It's all my favorite ones.
We ribs with that dude, but we didn't have a clue.
Probably you remember that.
Of course.
It's a great song.
I knew something was wrong when the little.
My girl came running into my arms.
Dead giveaway.
Dead giveaway.
Dead giveaway.
That was that.
I love that he was on this show.
We were at Eric C. Con.
At the height of his popularity.
We were the first interview.
We were one of the first people he talked to after that.
That's really crazy.
At Eric C.con's compound.
Ross Perot.
Is he still alive?
No.
No, no.
No, no.
He's been dead for a while.
Wow. He has? Yeah. Well, that's why I haven't seen him.
RIP. Somebody just said Rick Moranis.
It's a good point. You know, he's everywhere. You know his story, though?
What?
His wife died of cancer, so he quit acting to raise his two sons, to raise his kids.
Is that true? Yeah, it's true. I've always admired that about him.
I'll tell you one that was on the news every single day, that to be fair, I haven't seen it a year or two, was Dr. Fauci.
Yes, yeah.
I don't see him anymore.
Do you see him?
No.
He was everywhere during the COVID.
Some of these people you're riding me like Jim and Tammy Fay Baker.
I think they're dead.
Like, I mean, some of these people, there's an explanation for why we haven't seen him in a long time.
What would be some other, like, athletes?
I'm trying to think of some athletes.
Athletes that just everyone knew that didn't disappear off the face of the earth.
Evander Holyfield.
Well, that's not a bad answer.
Boxers, you know, they had that moment that you.
You see them all the time and then they're gone.
Yeah.
Right?
Except for Mike Tyson.
Von Lindel.
Von Lindel.
Tennis players from that era.
Like, you know, Mario, tennis in the 80s was a huge sport.
Oh, Monster.
Jimmy Conner's, John McEnroe.
So think about the names from those airs.
When's the last time you've seen Boris Becker?
No, I haven't.
Stefan Edberg.
That's a good one.
You've never seen those guys in a long time.
No.
All right.
7772, 774, 5254.
I didn't think we were going to get off on.
all that. Let's go over a couple things on Ask Anything. This is like a little, see what you think.
Okay. One person writes, Matt, what is the worst KSR moment for each of you in your time with the show?
What's your least favorite thing that happened? I'll go first while you're thinking because I got to see this.
For me, the worst KSR moment is not so much a moment, but was like the last three months of the Cal Air.
was like January through March.
Just every day this job sucked during that period of time.
Because if they won, Cal lovers said, see, eat it, Matt.
And if they lost, they'd say, see, Matt, it's your fault.
And there was like, it sucked.
So for me, that was the low point.
Otherwise, though, I don't think of a lot of them.
I got, I also, it's just on a personal low point,
I felt really bad the time you and I got in a fight, Ryan, before the pregame show.
Yeah.
Because you were yelling when I was on Fibomb.
That was the time I felt the worst about...
I mean, when you were in the common area and Drew didn't know you were on the phone and we came walking around the corner.
It wasn't him.
Yeah, it was Drew and I walking from the lobby.
That was the one that was early.
That was the one I probably felt the...
You apologize, though.
We're over it.
Yeah, but I didn't like myself for that.
What about you?
Well, I mean, I hate to bring it up.
The first thing I thought of was when we lost Jared.
That's exactly what I thought of.
That was mine too.
That's a good answer.
I learned he died and then had to write a post about it without even really getting the process.
It was hard to write.
Then we went straight to, I went straight to TV.
I was like, I just lost a friend and I'm having to work.
Yeah, his brother called me and said, do you want to, I want you to put this out to the fans.
And we were about to do a regular, hey Kentucky.
and we felt like we needed to shift it to do a show about Jared.
And you came down there.
Yeah.
And that was really hard.
You were like gone.
I was in Florida with my parents because you called me.
That's how I found out.
You called me.
Yeah, that was tough.
That's a really good one.
I was a mess at his funeral because I think we went, I had to go straight into work mode
and never really got a chance to grieve.
Yeah.
That was a good one.
What about you, Shannon?
Probably my first day.
They threw me on the air with this guy who was being a jerk to me.
I don't know why.
But, yeah, that was not a good first day for me.
But we came very far since then.
That's right.
I thought you were going to say, Shannon, every road trip we've ever taken.
Well, you know, that would be a second, third, fourth, and fifth.
Usually sit in the back seat just miserable while we're in the car.
Yeah.
Our worst, I felt like our worst, like we're talking about a show, was that post-game show after the Wisconsin game up in Indianapolis.
Oh, it was brutal.
where people were walking by and this looked like they just lost their best friend and their looks on everybody.
Josh Hopkins looks like somebody just punched him in the gut.
That's a really good call.
That was a brutal post-game show.
It's like we just didn't think losing was an option.
Yeah, and we were trying to comprehend it during that show.
And people were, I think, wanted to, they came to the show just to kind of commiserate with us.
That was awful.
Yeah, that's a really good one.
I'm trying.
Those are the ones that stick out.
I'm trying to think, is there anything?
I tell you, a hard show was the show we did in the mountains after the floods.
Yes.
As we were seeing all those people, and we also were sitting on the side of a road at a bank.
But we had just gone to all those scenes.
And that was just such a sad scene, especially in some of the places that you just knew it was going to be devastating.
That day one of a road trip, we're excited in western Kentucky.
had the tornadoes.
Oh, yeah.
I still remember when that got called.
You remember when that got called and said he'd watched two, what was it,
two funeral, like, like corner, two corners cars come by.
Yeah, that one, yeah, those were sad.
We were crying at an outback in Wisconsin.
We did cry at an outback.
Hopefully the first and only time I cried an outback.
We cried in an outback.
We were doing a pregame show for like the game we then lost.
that night. Was it Notre Dame or something like that? Yeah. So, great memories. Thanks for asking that.
Yeah, way to bring the show down. Jeremy Lynn. That's another good one.
Everybody, an athlete, trying to think of some athletes that everybody knew that. Jeremy Lynn had his moment,
right? He had his moment. Lins sanity. Lin sanity. All right, who's up next? Let's go to Tyler.
Tyler, go ahead, Tyler.
Tom. Tom. Who are? I just wanted to touch base with you guys on the Duke game. Man, I'm really
confident that they're going to be able to get it done.
I think if we can just keep Cooper flag from making his shots, you know, and creating his
own shot, maybe push him down to the block, you know, let Amory Williams and Brandon Garrison,
you know, kind of take over, you know, body him up a little bit.
I don't see no reason why Kentucky can't pull it out.
You know, I'm curious to see what you guys think as far as, you know, what we can do to get it done.
Kentucky can definitely win the game.
I appreciate the call.
I think we will have a hard time guarding them.
But I also think, you know, they're going to have a hard time with us
because we're going to be moving the ball a lot.
But we just one-on-one, they're big.
I mean, they are big dudes, and we are going to have a hard time,
hard time keeping up with him.
Thankfully, Amari Williams looks like he's not hurt really bad.
Like he said, what, x-rays came back negative?
So they're going to need him in a game like that.
I was worried last night when Williams went down.
They'll look on his face because he's on that tunnel near where I said.
It did not look positive.
luckily soon after he was on the exercise bike
and Pope gave an optimistic report.
But for a minute, I was very worried.
When he got on the bike, that made me feel a lot better about it.
But I'm with you.
859-28027.
Greg Luganis.
That's a good athlete.
Yes.
Gold medalist.
Everybody knew who he was.
Remember the whole HIV AIDS scare when he hit his head on the diving board?
The diving board thing is crazy.
You know, Brian Bosworth.
That's another good athlete.
Do people still talk about Lance Armstrong?
bracelets were like the biggest thing.
Yeah.
Lance Armstrong.
He still does like a podcast and stuff during the Tour de France.
Does he?
His Lift Strong bracelets.
They were huge.
Huge.
859-280, 2287.
I'll tell you what, Chin, let's take a early break right here.
We'll come back, take your calls, talk about this, and some UK football.
Well, a really, really bad statistic that we have to talk about.
We'll take a break right back.
This KSOM.
Last night, a blown call changed the game.

Kier Games.
And in recognition of mental health awareness month, I'm bringing over a decade of my own experience in the mental health field
and conversations with so many incredible guests.
I'm talking.
Tripp Fontaine, Ryan Clark.
Sometimes when we're in the pursuit of the thing,
we get so wrapped up in the chase
that we don't realize that we are in possession of the thing.
And we're still chasing it.
And we don't know when we've done enough.
Because people scoreboard watch.
Life becomes about wins and losses.
Steve Burns, Dustin Ross.
Because you find it important to be a good person
while you hear on earth.
Are you a good person because you're afraid?
Because that's two different.
intentions, bro.
Absolutely.
And that's two different levels of trust.
I want you to just really be a good person.

What's up, fam?
It's Isaiah Thomas.
And I'm CJ Toledano, and our podcast Point Game is about defying the odds.
Like LeBron heading into the playoffs without Luca and Austin Reed.
and finding ways to win no matter what.
He's the smartest player to ever play the game.
His IQ is at a level that we've never seen before.
And he knows without Luca and Austin Reeves,
I got to manipulate the game.
We get a player's perspective on the challenges of the playoffs.
I think Joker's going to be exhausted this series
because when they don't have Rudy in the lineup,
he has to really guard guys like Nas Reid.
He has to guard Julius Randall.
And then he has to give us everything he gives us
on the night-to-night basis on offense.
And when IT's first,
friends stop by like Quentin Richardson, we dive into some playoff history too.
Steve Nash will get that thing.
That man, hell get the flying. He running up the court, licking his fingers why he got the
ball like, after you go through a training camp with that Isaiah, you figure it out real
quick.
Get your ass up and down the court, and you're going to get the ball.

American soccer is about to explode.
The World Cup is coming.
Ramon sending on to Ernie Stewart the chip.
I'm Tad Ramos.
I'm Tom Boe.
On our podcast, Inside American Soccer, you'll get the real storylines.
I'm not worried about Policic.
I'm not worried about Balligan.
I'm not worried about McKinney.
My only concern is what happens in the back.
The biggest decisions.
If you're going to look at stats and numbers,
he has no shot at making this World Cup team.
And the truth about the U.S. national team.
It wouldn't be a huge.
surprise if our team ends up in the quarterfinals or potentially a great run into the semifinals.

There are times when the mind becomes a difficult place to live. This is David Eagleman
with the Inner Cosmos podcast. And for Mental Health Awareness Month, we're dedicating a series
to understanding the mind when it struggles.
I'm joined by doctors, researchers, and those with lived experience.
We'll talk with singer-songwriter Jewel about anxiety.
I started living in my car, and then my car got stolen.
I was shoplifting. I was having panic attacks. I was agoraphobic.
And making it through hardship.
To be present is a learned skill, and it's hard to be present.
We'll talk with John Nelson about clinical depression and the brain implant that saved his life.
What I learned is the procedure makes.
made me happy because I'm disease-free.
And we'll talk with leading experts like Judd Brewer about anxiety and John Hirschfield
about obsessive-compulsive disorder and the science of how the brain can change.
This is a month of deeply personal and honest conversations about what happens when the brain
goes off course and what we can do about it.

Giveaway.
I forgot about that line.
I forgot about that line, Shannon.
That's a good one.
Where he lives with this dude.
But we didn't have a clue.
What a great, great song.
That Mario, you know, is a TikTok thing.
They take a line of somebody says and then turn it into a song.
Like one of the more catchy song, like phrases I've heard in the last long,
while is in the last couple days they took Trump saying she's at dance parties with Beyonce
and turned it into like a song.
Yeah.
Dance parties with Beyonce with Beyonce with Beyonce with Beyonce and kind of, I hate to say,
it's great, but it kind of is.
But none will ever be as good as this one is right here.
I'm telling you, you've heard me say this before, that show, you and Drew at Eric C. Khan's office,
each segment you got a little more irritated, a little more mad.
We should have known Eric C.
John was a crook by that show.
Like everything about that show, he was like, he was like a cartoon character.
Yes.
There was a Abraham Lincoln statue.
The staff was wearing the t-shirts with his face on it.
And me, I'll wear his t-shirt.
And then his office was just a set of double-wide trailers.
There was like 10 double-wide trailer shenan, and that was his, he called it the Eric C. Con law complex.
It's crazy a story.
He got busted at, like, what, a pizza hut?
And he got putts it, ordering soup at a pizza hut in Guatemala.
Didn't Charles Ramsey get, like, McDonald's for life or something after that?
He did. I think there was, like, McDonald's tie in with that.
And then Charles Ramsey nearly missed the show.
Yeah, yeah.
Shows up in the final, like, minute.
Shows up in the final segment with Eric C. Khan and the Obama girl.
Do you remember the girl that went?
Oh, yeah.
And she was there.
What an insane!
It's one of my favorite shows.
That's one where we needed video with Mario.
Oh, shit.
You've got to find.
You can find this online.
We've got to play this.
What's that?
What?
The song Eric C. Khan made to try to get Obama to appoint him as a federal judge.
Do you remember that song?
Do you mean a constant sorrow?
Yes.
That's the theme of man of constant sorrow.
And he was like, he learned Spanish from a tape.
That's it.
Yeah.
You got to find that.
All right.
Again, for those of you that are newer KSR listeners, that was a golden couple weeks,
the Charles Ramsey week.
Wasn't it?
I'm looking at YouTube right now.
a Jesco White and Eric C. Con video with Obama girls.
That's it.
That's it.
It's called, it's to the tune of Man of Constant Sorrow.
And it includes, he learned Spanish from a tape.
Ralph Stanley.
With Ralph Stanley's in it.
That's right.
Unbelievable.
Anyway, 859, 280, 2287.
We saw a stat this morning.
UK has scored the fewest points in the second half of any college football team in America.
by 15.
Where do we rank in the first half?
In the first half, we're like right at the halfway point.
We're like in the middle.
But in the second half, last in the entire SEC.
What is it?
In the entire country.
Six touchdowns and six SEC games, I think, is it as all they have.
I mean, it's just unbelievable.
Couple games, no touchdowns.
A couple games, just one touchdown.
Last in the country.
Sad.
Okay, in the country.
And it looks like the only two teams that are even close to us are like teams whose logos I don't know.
Unbelievable.
We're 121st just in total scoring offense.
So 13 places out of last place for the entire game.
To give me an example, every Power 5 team has scored at least 60 points except UCLA, Houston, and us.
and we are at 23 points.
So only three teams have scored less than 60,
and we've scored half of 60, under half of 60.
You take out the Ohio game.
You're taking out just our SEC games.
Those numbers drop even down even further.
That's not good, Shaded.
No.
Mississippi State averages eight more points than us in the SEC.
We're last in the SEC.
Only one under 20 points per game.
Yeah, we can't score over 21 in SEC.
It's unbelievable. That is an unbelievable series of numbers, and it's embarrassing, and I think it's going to be a hard, I mean, give me percentage chance we don't get blown out this week. And I'll say blown out is 20 or more.
The thing that gives me a little hope about not getting blown out is Tennessee runs the ball. Their offense isn't as explosive as it's been. And if Kentucky's defense can get back to how it was early in the year, they can keep them off the board. I have absolutely not.
No faith Kentucky can score.
Tennessee's second defense in the country, best defensive player in the country,
maybe worst offense in the country.
I think the defense could have an incredible game,
but I don't know what Kentucky's going to do to get on the board.
To answer your question, I'll say 20% chance we don't get blown out.
That's if the defense has a good game.
It's a low number.
How many points do you think Kentucky could score on their best day with what we've seen?
Not getting help from a kick return or just the offense.
On their best day?
Well, I can't say more than 20 because we haven't done it all year.
So I guess I'm going to have to say 20.
Tennessee gives up 11 points a game.
Yeah, so 10.
Yeah, you think Kentucky actually can score two touchdowns in a game in this game?
No.
No, I don't think so either.
8.9-28027.
Who's up next?
Luke.
Luke. Go ahead, Luke.
Hey, guys, I guess talking about the saddest moments in KSR history, I guess.
Listen to that statistic was pretty.
Pretty sad.
Yeah, that one's pretty sad.
That's a downer right there.
But anyway, okay, so I got a question for it.
It's basketball related.
So one of my biggest pet peeves with Cal teams was we could not guard the three-point
shooting at all in a game.
Now we're on the opposite side with the Mark Pope team that shoots three like crazy.
So on February 1st, we're that team that shoots three-pointers like crazy at Refereena against
the John Calgary defense.
What's the over-under how many?
three pointers we shoot and how many we hit.
We'll shoot over 30.
We'll shoot over 33's.
I appreciate the call, don't you think?
I mean, we'll shoot over 33's in that game.
I think if we make 14, we win.
13 we win.
Yeah, the guy brings up a good point.
Cal Perry teams don't defend the three very well.
And we may shoot over 43-pointers that game.
Yeah.
If they're hot, look out.
No, I mean, like we match up well with Cal Perry team.
Yeah.
Are you worried about rebounding?
struggled rebounding last night.
Yeah, part of that was Amari out, but that was Pope's big message in his press
conference was got to get better rebounding, especially offensively.
He kind of called them out.
You know, he says he's been looking for a weakness in these exhibitions, and last night
it was hitting the glass.
859-280-2287.
Text machine 772-7-7-7-4.
By the way, Wings Day.
Yes.
Dollar Wings.
We've got already folks here doing them all day and night.
My trivia is tonight.
Got some work to do on the question.
It's not going to lie to you.
Got to do a little bit of work, but we'll have them by the time we get there.
You got your team?
It's kind of a dream team.
I can't make it.
I'm embarrassed to tell you what I got to do.
Now you have to say it.
Go ahead.
I committed months ago to judge a costume contest tonight for pets.
Of course you did.
It's the most Ryan Lemon thing ever.
They won't even know you're not there if they're pets.
What do you talk about?
Did you judge a costume?
contest for pets? The Richmond Road
Vet Clinic is having a yappy hour
costume, pet
costume contest.
And I agreed to judge it
months ago. The yappy hour?
That's a good name. I got to compliment yappy hour.
What time is yappy hour?
530 to 730.
Two hour?
Pet pet, how many pets are there?
Yeah. Well, you're going to come in
costume and you can win all kind of these great prizes.
What prizes? I don't even know what they are.
I'm sorry, but I
Yeah.
Yappy hour.
Pet Halloween costume contest.
Are you dressing up?
Do you...
I should.
Do you look in the mirror and ever go?
Do you ever tell anyone no?
Like, is there ever a moment you're like, no, I can't do that?
I'm not going to come and whisked to go to the National Whistling Championship.
Like, do you ever...
He's a yes, man.
Do you ever say no?
No.
We need that one clipped.
You know, they're one of our good...
sponsors richmond road vet clinic and that's nice but it's also trivia enough i know well to be
fair i didn't know you're going to do trivia this night until like a couple days ago when did you

they may know the pets do you may
Ask the pets if they want to be in the contest.
Yeah, I don't think they ask the pets.
Can I put this Batman costume on you and go stand outside?
I hope you're fine.
Thanks.
Who's up next, Shannon?
Let's go to Doug.
Doug, go ahead, Doug.
Hey, guys, it's Doug out in Spokane.
I got one for you.
How about Susan Smith?
Oh, that's a good one.
Who's Susan?
Is that the one?
Did she kill her kids or something?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
She's actually, she's up for parole next month.
It's been 30 years since that happened.
Boy.
Yeah, that's crazy.
Okay.
Now on your road trip to Seattle's subject, guys.
Yeah.
Matt, did I hear you say one time you had never been to Oregon?
No, I'm going to hopefully we're going to scratch that off on this trip.
But once I hit Oregon, I will have been in every state in the United States.
That's what I was going to say.
You guys, if you go to Seattle, you could drive down to Portland and fly back home out of Portland.
Yeah, this is going to be my last state.
I'm going to hit Oregon.
And I'm excited because then that's over.
That's cool.
That is pretty cool.
Something to keep in mind driving out here in December, guys,
you're going to have to cross some snow, some mountain passes,
but might have some pretty nice snow.
Bring the snow on.
We like driving in snow.
We're all in.
I appreciate the call.
We drove in Schenectady, Schenectady.
Schenectady.
Schenectady.
That was scary.
Where are you in hitting all 120 Kentucky counties?
What?
I wrote a book about it.
We didn't go to all of them.
Yes, I did.
Oh, okay, my bad.
I thought there were a couple you still hadn't hit yet.
Do you not?
Do you realize?
We did.
You know, I literally wrote a book.
The premise of which was that I went to every county.
And we went to every county and we wrote the book.
Okay.
Do you listen to the show that you're on?
Sometimes.
Maybe it's how many counties we haven't done.
show in.
You know what?
With that, maybe you should judge the pet contest instead of being in trivia.
I don't feel like your team was going to win tonight with that.
I think it's what counties we've not done a show in.
No, there's a bunch of counties we haven't done a show in, but we've done this a lot.
Should read his talk.

Locked in mortgage. Here's Matt Jones. It's skipping around for some reason, though, but this is the song.
Okay. Her voice is not quite as soothing as Ralph Stanley. No.
Did it, do we wear the words? It was like skipping for some reason. This is on daily motion.
Okay, here we go. Yeah, because he has the statue of liberty. I said to Abraham Lincoln, but he has a statue of liberty. He had both. He had both. He had a big Lincoln replica.
Yeah, this is.
Yeah, this is not.
Something's wrong with this.
All right.
Yeah, no worry about it.
859, 2807.
I appreciate you trying.
So what happened to the Statue of Liberty and the Abraham Lincoln statues?
I think Tyler Childers tried to buy it.
Really?
Yeah, I don't, I think they sold it.
And I think I remember that Tyler Childers was going to try to buy it, but I don't think he did.
So I don't know who got it.
There's a story that says it was bought by someone local and donated to Floyd County.
Okay.
Yeah.
I knew it was something.
I knew it was something like that.
Because I remember Tyler's.
saying at the time when it went up for auction it would be a cool thing to have i mean eric c con
i mean when you're talking about who went to the ashland house i don't know if he went to the
ashland house or not but he had his own house remember in the documentary yeah but i think he probably
a visitor to other uh to other houses probably ryan he had his options of secret societies to go to
that's right what was cheese grater guy's name that was in that documentary you're talking about
uh who steals a cheese grate yeah yeah i don't know that guy's name he was at the grand opening of this bar
if you remember he was
he was mason something
mason uh tacket mason tacket
can't forget mason tacket
eastern kentucky legends
who steals a cheese graven
stole my soap
one person writes
what are rind's criteria
for picking the winner of yappy hour
well that's a great question
and I haven't really thought about it but I guess it's got to be
something that I think is
authentic
authentic to what
dog yeah you know i don't want to just show up with a white do you mean creative creative
how would it be authentic uh you know i don't want them to show up with just like a white sheet
on i'm going to say it's a ghost i want it to be an authentic costume i want to you know with like
a cape and some horns and some daggers daggers you want the dog to carry a dagger yeah
how's the dog going to carry a dagger well you just kind of glue it to its leg oh you want to glue
things to the dog's
animal abuse.
Yeah, so you want to like,
it's already bad enough
you're making this dog dress up for your fancy.
You now want to glue things to its leg?
Listen, glue and daggers to legs,
that's chicken fighting,
and we don't do that.
That's true.
That'll get you arrested.
All right.
You're ridiculous.
What person writes, Matt,
I always say you do a good job of telling me
what to look for
so that I don't have to watch the news on election night.
It's very simple.
You don't need to watch the news.
45 states don't matter,
including this one. There are five states that matter.
Arizona used to matter, but Trump's probably going to win that.
If he loses that, he's losing the election, so don't worry about Arizona.
Nevada, the math, doesn't matter.
Doesn't matter who wins it. Whether Trump wins it or whether Harris wins it,
it won't help either one of them. It's really five states.
Michigan, which Harris has to win Michigan, okay?
North Carolina, which Trump has to win North Carolina.
So let's just assume Harris wins Michigan, Trump wins North Carolina.
If you see if one of them wins the other one, it's over.
So really, three states.
Three states.
Three states.
Two out of three, Harris has to win.
Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Georgia, those three states.
She's got to win two.
Trump needs to win two.
Whichever one wins two wins the race.
So just three states.
All the rest is noise.
If Trump wins Michigan, then he's going to win Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.
Paris wins Arizona.
then she's going to win all those states.
You don't have to worry about those.
Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Georgia, two out of three, loser leaves town.
Winner is the president.
That's all you need to watch.
Everything else is just noise.
Those are the three places.
All right, I have questions.
Go for it.
It's always Pennsylvania.
Why is why?
Pennsylvania has voted with the winner every race since like 1988.
I don't know.
I think it's probably because if you're,
look at the makeup of the state, you have a couple of big cities, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh,
you have suburbs, but you also have rural like land. If you think about there's not a lot of
states that have high African American populations, high suburban populations, and high rural
populations. There's not a lot of states that sort of fit all through all those things.
You've got the suburbs of Philadelphia. You've got Pittsburgh, which is kind of steel town.
You got you got Appalachia in western part.
So you get everything.
So I think it kind of in some ways Pennsylvania oddly sort of encompasses America,
maybe as much as any state in the country.
Georgia's like that too.
That's one of the reasons Georgia's like that.
You got high concentration African Americans in Atlanta,
but you also have very rural parts.
And then you have all those suburbs around Atlanta.
So I think those are the two states that probably are most like America.
In years past election, Ohio seems to be one of those states.
Ohio's now become very Republican.
because if you think about it while there are cities,
it's a lot more rural kind of,
Ohio's now mostly tilting Republican.
That's why it's not one of your five.
So really, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Georgia,
everything else you hear is noise.
Those three states are the election.
I have an update on a former president.
Okay.
The Abe Lincoln statue is in the Middle Creek battlefield in Prestensburg.
So they put it to good use.
That's cool.
I didn't know that.
There you go.
at least those things are going well.
And cons in prison, right?
Yes.
With his soup.
Who order soup of pizza?
Nobody was a soup of pizza hut.
No, that nobody was a soup.
Broby's bicycle across the border, didn't he?
With the dog, right?
What do you like?
He rode a bike.
That's right.
He rode a bike across the border with a dog.
No, he took someone else's dog at the border and gave it back to him on the side.
He's like, can I walk that across as like a decoy?
He got a loner dog.
A loner dog.
Yeah.
And then soup.
What a.
He was probably just.
trying to go to your every hour.
I'm a bizarre man.
Who's next?
Matt.
Matt, go ahead, Matt.
Hey, first time, long time.
Who?
So I was calling about a little bit of basketball trivia and past players.
My nephew, big into tennis.
And Kyle Macy would come over and play tennis with him.
And, you know, Kyle Macy went to Purdue, played tennis at Purdue and basketball.
And at the end of one of the practices, my nephew said, hey,
you want to play horse.
And so they started playing horse.
And my nephew came home and his head was down.
He said, man, that Kyle Macy sure can play a mean game of horse.
Had no idea, Kyle Macy was a basketball player.
Well, I would, well, I mean, let me ask you.
Mario, do you know who Kyle Macy is?
Okay.
Well, I would think a lot of, you think Josiah knows who Kyle Macy is?
I don't know if he does or not.
Yeah.
Yeah, I mean, Kyle Macy, legend.
people just a little bit older than me.
The younger people might not
know who he is.
I heard the post game show last month.
Yeah.
So, appreciate the call, sir.
I mean, it's interesting.
That'll be like that for our guys.
I mean, Jamal Mashburn,
legend to me.
But do you think the people on,
you think the kids going on UK's campus?
You think they know who Jamal Mashper is?
No.
A lot of them don't even remember guys much more recent than that.
I'm telling you, Lorette.
No reason ain't O. Rex is because of Twitter.
Not because of his basketball.
Oh, Rex.
is much more famous now for being that guy on Twitter than he is for being a basketball.
I love when people realize Rex played basketball.
I'm like, the Twitter guy played basketball?
It's crazy.
Who's next?
Tracy.
Tracy.
How are you, Tracy?
Doing good.
It's a lovely day.
It is a beautiful thing.
I hope you guys are doing well.
And I know everybody's excited at least with half of our product on the field and court.
So let's just ride with the good stuff.
I'll tell you one person that I was so glad when I didn't have to see his face or hear his voice anymore.
And I was really glad I had a mute on my remote, and that was LeVar Ball.
It's true.
LeVar Ball, you don't hear from LeVar Ball anymore.
Yeah, he was everywhere for a while.
He was everywhere for a while.
And you're right.
You do not hear Drew LeVar Ball anymore.
And that brand, baller brand, they tried to make their own shoe.
Big baller brand.
We all knew that wasn't going to work.
Yeah, man.
Never lost.
And then Deeran torched him.
And then Deeran torched him, right?
Oh, destroyed it.
Yeah.
That was one of the great, appreciate the call.
It's one of the great individual performances in the tournament UK's ever had.
Was Deeran Fox just absolutely torching, which not, Lonzo.
Lonzo, Lonzo Ball in Memphis.
In the draft, we all knew.
The Lakers should have taken Fox, but they didn't.
Fox goes on to the Kings.
They didn't learn anything from that game when he destroyed Lonzo.
Never lost.
Never lost.
Did he say he could beat Michael Jordan one-on-one, too?
I think he did.
He was entertaining to me.
Not going to lie.
So out of the three Ball Brothers is the youngest one, the only one in the NBA still?
No, Lonzo's still there.
He's been out for like two and a half years.
He's back this year.
Oh, okay.
Lamello's the one that panned out.
But he didn't end up as good as people thought.
I mean, he's good, but he's not like, he had not.
None of the balls have quite, well, the one shoplifted in like China on UCLA's trip.
Do you remember when they went to Lithuania?
Yes.
Song about Lithuania, Shannon.
Welcome to Lithuania.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
I remember that.
I think I'll probably still got that somewhere.
You give me a minute I can find that.
It's a good day of memories.

has to give us everything he gives us on the night-to-night basis on offense. And when IT's friends
stop by, like Quentin Richardson, we dive into some playoff history too. Steve Nash would get that thing.
That man, hell get the flying. He run up the court licking his fingers while he got the ball.

What's this song?
This is Clint Black.
Ain't it funny how a melody...
State of mind.
State of mind.
Clint Black underrated.
Very much.
I got to tell you just read something that blew my mind.
You guys may know this.
I didn't know this.
That could be anything.
If it blew this mind, this could be the most exciting thing I've ever heard,
or it could be like, you know, that we have,
that the presidential race is Tuesday.
So tell me what it is?
We just mentioned Brian Bosworth that he plays the sheriff on the Fansville Dr. Pepper commercials.
Why did that blow your mind?
I didn't know that.
I didn't know that was Brian Bosworth.
Did you know that?
Yeah.
I didn't know that.
Did you know that?
No, but it still didn't blow my mind.
Brian?
I was excited.
I was like, this is going to be something amazing.
I will forget that by the time the show ends in 10 minutes.
Brian Bosworth.
Now I look at that commercial a little differently now.
John Rocker.
Oh, that's a good one.
There's a guy that everybody knew.
No clue what he's doing.
I have some guesses, but probably, yeah, but I don't know what he's doing.
That's a good guy because I was really trying to think of a baseball player outside of Sosa and McGuire.
John Rocker's a good one.
859-280-2287.
Got a big meeting today, by the way, right?
I know you did.
Our bosses are in town.
Big boss.
You know, our contract.
There's only two months left.
So today's a big meeting.
Are you nervous?
Yes.
Be on your best behavior.
Why me?
Because you're the one meeting with him.
But you're the one that's yappy hour.
Listen to this hour.
This is your contract hour.
Yeah, this is literally the most important hour that we've probably done because
today.
So Shannon gave some good tips this morning on the pre-show about handshaking.
He can't shake my hand.
I still got my cut.
You're going to have to shake him left-handed?
Oh, I'm going to be left-handed for a while.
I still have.
I mean, I'm still, this cut is still.
Well, there we go.
Show's over.
If you're going to shake you left-handed, we're done.
Yeah.
So, I mean, it'll be all right.
Be nice.
Be respectful.
This shows contract ends December 31st.
Have you been looking for other gigs just in case?
Why do you think I'm judging a pet costume contest tonight?
You're trying to make that your thing?
Yeah.
All right.
859-280-22.
What's next?
Cody.
Cody.
Go ahead, Cody.
Hey guys, thanks for taking my call.
Watching this team, and I know it's a very small sample size,
but it just reminds me of those championship Warriors teams
where they'll be down 10 minutes or down 10,
and then five minutes later, they're up 10,
just with the power they have with the shooting.
Jackson Robinson's are Steph Curry.
That's all I got to say.
Thanks.
Have a great thing.
I hope so.
They do play like those Warriors team.
I mean, they play, you know, the phrase that you probably all got
tired of me saying last year, modern
basketball, that's what they play.
I mean, they play a spread it out,
drive kick, drive kick,
make the extra pass, open guy shoots,
threes and, you know, threes and layups.
At halftime, they had one mid-range jumper.
They got, they did a couple more in the second half,
but at halftime they had one mid-rage jumper,
and it was like the second shot of the game.
And as we saw when they were only up two,
I mean, you can blink your eyes with the way they play,
and it's, you know, 15-point lead again,
just how they shoot so many threes.
I mentioned their last six made field goals in the first half for three-pointers.
That's how you pull away.
We saw several of Cal's teams when they got behind.
They were not built to make a big run.
The caller's right.
This team could be down 10 and all of a sudden, boom.
They get hot.
Now they're up 10.
You know, Saturday there's two big decisions coming for Kentucky basketball,
men and women.
Caden Lewis is deciding for the men's team.
Drew, do we think they were getting him?
It seems very positive.
I mean, I'm not going to guarantee anything, but I'm watching that assuming it's going to be the cats.
And what is the girl's name from Sacred Heart?
The one.
What is her name?
She's deciding.
Like one of the best women's players of, what's her name?
Zariah.
Zariah.
Zariah something.
Okay.
Well, let's get her name.
Yeah.
But Saraya.
Why you guys are looking that up?
I think.
But she's choosing between Kentucky, Louisville, and LSU on Saturday.
Zahia Johnson.
She's been the best women's player in Kentucky the last three years.
There are people who follow it who say she might be one of the three or four best
women's players to ever play in this state.
And she is from Louisville, goes to Sacred Heart.
She's choosing between Kentucky, Louisville, LSU, and South Carolina.
So, I mean, LSU and South Carolina have been two of the best programs in the so.
She's top five in the country, five star.
You know, she's a blue chip recruit.
Probably Kentucky would not have a chance with her until the new coach.
got here and I haven't heard what she was can really consider them I don't think so either
so I haven't heard whether is she is there a chance she comes to Kentucky I think there's a very
strong chance she comes to Kentucky oh really yeah is that scoop or scuttle butt my scoop is though
a Caden Lewis has come to Kentucky they got him wait a minute Shannon what's contract
I mean take that into your contract there's three minutes left in the show and you're just
dropping the Acadon Lewis is definitely coming to he's coming he's coming they got him
It's three minutes left in the show.
Why didn't lead with that?
Well, we didn't talk about him.
You need to ask Ryan every morning, what do you know before we start the show?
I mean, you talked about your stupid dog petting thing before you did this.
Well, you know, the announcement's not until Saturday.
He could change his mind between now and Saturday.
But right now, I think he's coming.
As you think.
Yeah, so they got him or they don't got him.
Do you think or do you know?
My source that has never been wrong says they got him.
Okay.
All right.
So this is putting a scoop on it.
Yeah, but the Williams kids between Kentucky and Cal.
They got some ways to go.
The who?
The girl?
Caleb Williams, the other basketball player.
Caleb Wilson?
Wilson.
Kentucky and Cal, California?
Cala Perry.
Okay, gotcha.
But you don't think we're going to get him?
I think he's leaning in Arkansas right now, according to my scoop.
According to my source.
Now, that's different.
So is your scoop that he's going to Arkansas?
He's not decided yet.
So your scuttle bud is he's going, you don't know?
The Lewis kids coming to Kentucky.
Okay.
The Wilson kids still torn between Kentucky and Arkansas, but leaning a little Arkansas.
Okay.
Write this stuff down.
Tell me about Stockton Mortgage.
You're on a roll.
Stockton Mortgage, let's just say you've got a pet and you don't know what to do with it.
