Welcome back, Techiesports Radio, here live at the Lexington Fire Department.
Yeah, in, out in Ryan's neck of the woods.
Masterson Station area.
Masterson Station here.
Matt Jones, Ryan Lemon, Shane, the dude.
Drew is on his way to Austin, like a lot of you are.
So let's go over one thing from the last segment, the millionaire thing.
So people are sending me stories.
And to be fair, I threw the challenge flag on this immediately,
saying the United States had 22 million millionaires.
No way.
According to Google.
Yeah, but again, you got to look, well, where's it coming from?
That's the problem with Google now.
They give you the AI answer.
But you can't just say that's right.
You got to go see where, what site is it getting it from?
Is this another I know more than the Internet moment?
It's now you got, here's the problem with the Internet, though.
This is a good lesson for people out there.
Google used to rank the pages by, like, sort of how reputable they were, how much they were used.
Now they use a different formula.
Sometimes it's paid for.
Sometimes it's AI.
So whatever story is repeated the most, and just because something's repeated, it doesn't mean it's true.
So there's no way there's 22 million million.
So I dug a little and I found the official from the government how many millionaires.
Okay.
All right, so I'm taking that over AI.
There are 7.4 millionaires that would be about 5% of the population.
But this is important.
Here's how they define millionaire as having an assets of one million or more,
including your primary residence, your collectibles or your durables.
Now, if you think about that, that might include your car.
That might include your house.
Everything you own.
Everything you own.
And then also remember, there are parts of this country where a million dollars ain't what it is in Kentucky.
Like in New York City, a million dollars is good, but like it's still expensive as it could be.
You'd have to be almost a millionaire to live there.
To live like really well.
To not rent.
I mean, to own.
Oh, to.
own, for sure, to own you would.
To rent, you could definitely do less than that.
But so, so 5% of the population, that sounds about right to me.
But you do have to remember that in, like, New York,
I bet a massive percentage of those are in New York, L.A., Miami, like, in places that are all by themselves, also very expensive.
Right.
Yeah, big cities.
Well, that would make sense you would have to.
But like in Kentucky, if they say 5% of America,
Americans are millionaires.
I'm just guessing, but in Kentucky, that number is one to two percent, probably, maybe less.
That makes sense, because like you said, in those big cities, those homes.
Yeah, in New York, I mean, maybe 10% of the population is that, right?
Or in L.A., it's just a, I think it's a different thing.
Yeah, these homes in Kentucky that we can see right now through the window, $250,000, in New York,
they may be close to a million.
Oh, dude, that in New York.
York City, it is like $10 million.
But again, even if you have a home that costs $500,000, that doesn't mean it's worth that to you.
Yeah.
Your equity might be $100,000.
It's true.
Right?
So anyway, just to set that off.
All right, so let's go, 1 through 8, because we ended up doing one with the Texas one through 8.
Number 2.
Number 2.
Okay.
Mark Pope said, we talked about this yesterday, that he quizzed.
the players about the team.
And he said that basically he looks up when they give the game report,
he has it by number, and then in the day before the practice,
he'll look and go like Shannon.
Number 40, what does he do?
And the player has to know one or two things about it.
Here's what I was wondering, Shannon.
We got this guy Ryan Lemon.
Yeah.
So tomorrow night, Ryan Lemon has to host the pregame show.
because I will not be there.
All right, so Ryan Lemon's going to have to run it.
Here's my question for you.
Do we think he's prepared?
No.
Of course not.
But can he BS his way through it?
So here's what I want you to do tonight, Ryan.
Okay.
Tonight, I want you to prepare a Ryan Lemon scouting report on Jackson State.
On Jackson State?
Jackson State played Western.
I like this.
The other night.
It's on ESPN Plus.
You can go watch it.
Okay.
I want you to do.
have time tonight to look at the game tape.
Yes, you do. That's good to hear.
All right, so you have time to prepare for the show by watching the game tape.
Okay.
So tomorrow, Shannon, when we're at our remote, which is where, at Grey Line Station, state renovations.
When we're at our remote, I'm going to read you a number off the roster, and you're going to have to buy memory, tell me something about.
Oh, okay.
Because Mark Pope is having everyone on this team do this, Shannon.
Everyone on the team has to know it.
They're able to recall.
They do one game.
Then they move to the next game, and they still have it.
I'm just asking Ryan, Shannon, to do one game.
For one game, just Jackson State.
All you have to do is prepared just for Jackson State because you're hosting the pregame show.
Billy is hosting the post game show.
I'll tell you what, Billy, since you're hosting the post game show, you have the same assignment tonight.
So, Billy and, so tomorrow's Shannon, Billy and Ryan, I'll give them a number of a Jackson State player.
they have to immediately give me a fact.
Now, are you going to be able to verify that what they're saying is correct?
Because, you know, he can make up anything.
That's true.
Actually, I got to do the show with Coach tonight on ESPN.
There's some dead time there.
There you go.
I'll put one on and make sure he doesn't just make something up.
I know.
Because I'm not giving you the scouting report.
I'm letting you make the scouting report.
I thought it was going to be our typical scatterment for the pregame show.
Where are they located?
What's their nickname?
That's really kind of all we know sometimes.
I want to know about the players.
All the way down to the last guy on the bench.
So Ryan and Billy will find out if they're ready for the Friday night pre and post game show.
Look, you get to watch your Western Kentucky team play because they play Jackson State.
Shannon, how do you think they'll do?
I think they'll do well because I think Ryan will actually do his homework.
I think Billy may have already watched that Jackson State Western Kentucky game.
So Billy's going to have to, I'm excited for both of these guys.
This is a chance for you to prove yourself.
Okay.
This is a chance to see if you have any marketable basketball knowledge at all,
and we will see if you could play for Mark Pope on his basketball team.
Can I write it down or have to be all from memory?
You're free to write it down at some point, but it's got to be from memory.
They don't let Otega Owe have a sheet of paper.
Pull it out of his pocket.
He has to be ready at the moment to do it.
Okay.
Is that where?
Looks like I've got home.
homework tonight.
Okay.
So, Shannon,
last night I'm going to have to give you a couple of these questions
because Ryan actually played last night.
Oh, I'm going to be really bad at this.
By the way, Ryan played in trivia last night.
Top three teams advanced to the finals.
He came in fourth.
Four.
I was so hoping one of the top three teams had already qualified,
we're going to slide right into the finals.
Okay.
So I'm going to give you just a couple of questions.
First of all, U.S. News and World Report,
top 25 universities in America.
These are the best schools in the United States of America.
What are the 10 that are the closest to drive to from Lexington?
Of the top 25 schools in America, which 10 can you drive to the closest from America?
I'll give you a couple guesses.
Okay, and we're going academically.
This is all academic, yes.
Well, I would say Vanderbilt would probably be top 25.
Vanderbilt is on the list.
Yes, Vanderbilt is one.
Let's see how many you get.
I'm going to go up in the Ivy League.
league now let's go to princeton no oh so it must be must be closer then um let's go
oh oh oh oh oh you're terrible at billet you want to help me out you're going to tag in here
do you have any guesses ah um i don't know i really don't know Rick do you know the answer
Rick can you show up uh Shannon do you know the answer no not a clue sorry guys
guess like I'm thinking come on there's a principal I'm thinking I'm big basketball rivals think
of a couple of those Tennessee you think Tennessee is one of the baseball basketball rival and it's
not Louisville all right about North Carolina there we close but Duke Duke Duke is one of them okay
so Duke Vanderbilt I'll read you the other ones because it's clear you're not going to be able to
get I'm not going to get them Northwestern okay Chicago University of Chicago
Emory, Georgetown, Michigan, John Hopkins, and Washington University, and Notre Dame.
Notre Dame I should have gotten.
But yeah, when you struck down Princeton, that completely took me out of it.
You didn't remember.
No, I was like, no.
All right, let's do one more.
I asked, Ryan, Kentucky basketball, besides schools in the SEC and Louisville.
Okay, so you can't pick schools that are in the SEC now and Louisville,
who are the eight teams Kentucky basketball has played the most in its history?
North Carolina.
North Carolina is one of them, yes.
UCLA?
No.
Kansas.
Yes.
Or no, excuse me, yes, that's two.
Let's go, not in the SEC.
This is tough.
Michigan State?
Michigan State.
was ninth. You were close, but they were not, they're not on the list.
We guessed them to. Ohio State, I feel like we played a lot.
No. No.
All right, so I'll give you, there's, here's in order.
Number one and two, Georgia Tech and Tulane.
Why? They used to be in the SEC.
Georgia Tech and Tulane. By the way, Tulane decided to voluntarily leave the SEC.
You know whoever, like the ancestors of the people that decided that have to be like,
that was the dumbest decision of all time, right?
Georgia Tech Tulane, Kansas, Notre Dame, North Carolina, Indiana.
You forgot Indiana.
We played Indiana every year.
We haven't played them in 10 years.
And then apparently way back in the day, every year we would play Cincinnati and Xavier.
I remember the Cincinnati rival.
So there you go.
That was the toys.
We guessed Duke and Michigan State in that question and missed Cincinnati and Xavier.
Did you miss Indiana?
No, we got that one.
You got that.
All right.
859-280-2287.
who's up next?
Adam is up next.
Adam, go ahead, Adam.
Matt, it's amazing how your story of your friend's mom, given that quote,
how much she sounded like Davosweeney.
It was kind of a dabbo-sweeney quote, to be honest with you.
She was a wonderful woman that said that, but it was a little dabbo-sweeney.
You got two questions.
One, with you all yesterday talking about Mark Pope and, you know,
quizzing the players on their opponents.
one of the odd that last March John Caliperry said,
hey, does anybody know number three for Oakland?
No.
Anybody's doing their scouting on them?
John Calipari didn't do that because John Cali Perry didn't know those people.
And I don't say that to be rude,
but I guarantee you in many games,
maybe not the tournament.
He probably did in the tournament,
but I guarantee you there were games where if you had quizzed Cal on the individual players,
he would not have been able to do it.
I'm sure his staff collectively would have,
but if you had quizzed him individually,
I would bet you, especially in the latter years,
he would not have been able to do it.
I think you're right.
And other question, over under 24 and a half
on regular season withs for this team.
24 and a half.
That's a good pick.
I like that number.
If you gave me the half, as they would say,
say give me the hook 24 and a half i'm going over because i think we're going to i think i would have
maybe picked under before the duke game but i'm going to pick over i think we lose i think if you're
making me guess our record today i'm going to say 25 and 6 good guess so i'm going to go uh i'm
going to go over i'm with you i thought they might lose three non-conference games but duke
was one of the ones i thought they would lose so they've already won that one clumson and gonzagas going to be
tough so I think you drop at least one of those. But I think if you drop one of those, you're going
25 and 6 because I don't think you would lose more than five conference games. Yeah,
SEC is always a slug fest and then you go on the road. There's always some tough games.
I feel like, yeah, 25 probably feels like what they'll probably do.
Yeah. I like that. I think if you were to go bet it right now, I think 24 and a half would
be the number. I think that's actually a really good number. You can get Black Friday savings all month long

Welcome back. It is Kentucky Sports Radio here at the Lexington Fire Department.
859-28027. Text machine, 772-745254.
Ryan is, they're putting the firefighting equipment on Ryan, so we will let him do that.
It is a lot of equipment right now, and I'm looking forward to he's going to be dressed
as if you would be dressed to fight a fire.
He's not getting dressed quickly either.
I mean, I'm imagining my house burning down right now
as Ryan takes his time to get dressed.
They just told me from the moment the call
comes into the fire department,
the goal is to have all of your equipment on
and out the door within two minutes.
Wow.
That's a lot.
He said normally they can do it in a minute to a minute and a half.
Ryan, I would say people would be in trouble
if they were waiting on Ryan.
The city would burn by the time he got ready.
But, yeah, there's a lot of heavy equipment that you've got to carry.
He's got an oxygen tank on.
He's got the mask on, heavy coat.
That coat weighs a lot.
All right.
So for comments, one through nine, I'll read one from the text machine.
Give me number three.
Number three.
Matt, to be a great coach, you have to try to play to your player's strengths,
but also hide their weaknesses.
What do you think are our team's weaknesses overall?
Wow.
I still think this team is not the best team in the world at taking people off the dribble.
I think O-Way has shown an ability to do that pretty well.
Butler seems to be able to get by people, but has really struggled to finish, has missed a bunch of layups.
I think Jackson Robinson will be good at that.
I don't think that's Bray's strength.
I don't think that's, I mean, I know Carr got those two against Duke.
I still don't know that's a streak.
Amari Williams does not need to be doing that.
So that's really, I think, a little bit of a weakness.
And then I still think you're lacking a little bit of depth at the car position, but otherwise, Ryan is parading around.
I'm sorry that this is very distracting right now.
Ryan looks absolutely ridiculous.
Can you imagine if you saw someone run up to your house to try to save it looking like that?
No, I can't.
I think, first of all, Ryan needs to get more of a butt.
Those pants are barely hanging on for Deerlis.
Yeah, I don't think they had his size in stock.
But that's okay.
Well, look, good for you, Ryan.
You look ridiculous.
So that's nice.
All right.
So for topics, let's go, Shannon.
Give me one through, I guess, one through seven.
All right.
Let's go number four.
Number four.
Have you ever seen the movie Paddington 2?
I've never seen it.
I've never heard of the movie.
Rick, have you ever seen Paddington 2?
Rick, have you ever seen Paddington 2?
I've never seen it, but isn't that about a stuffed bear?
It is about a bear.
So I have a friend who told me, my friend Tall, said that Paddington 2 is the best movie of all time.
No, I'm throwing the challenge flag on this.
I'm with you on that.
That seems ridiculous.
First of all, it's not even the original Paddington.
Secondly, it's about a bear.
But he swears to me.
He's like it's the sweetest movie.
It's good.
blah, blah, blah. So I just said that offhand on ESPN last, a couple Thursday nights ago.
Tweets flooded with Matt. Not kidding you, Paddington 2 is the best movie. Then I looked it up on
Rotten Tomatoes. Paddington 2 is one of only eight movies of all time to get a perfect score from
audience. Perfect score. Wow. And no one thinks it's bad. Then I read a couple reviews. And if you
read reviews, people will say, maybe the most kind-hearted movie that has ever existed,
that's also quality, okay?
Yeah.
So they're showing, Ryan, what it would take to go into a fire.
Alarms are going off and everything else.
So I gave an assignment to everyone on our show to by next week's show watch Paddington
2, and I'm saying to all of you all, during Thanksgiving, I want to see if it's as good
a movie.
I still haven't seen it as everyone.
A movie about a bear.
I'm telling you.
I'm more of a cocaine bear type guy, but I will give it a watch.
Not Paddington 1.
Is there a Paddington 1?
And I'm told you don't have to have seen Paddington 1 to watch Paddington 2.
Did we know what?
Is it new?
No, no.
I haven't seen it.
I got to look this up.
I don't know anything about it, but I'm telling you.
Paddington 2.
The reason is Paddington 3 is about to come out and people are disappointed in it
because they say it doesn't live up to the standards of Paddington 2.
Okay, so this is like, there you go.
There's some screenshots from it.
I know it looks ridiculous.
I'm telling you, I know it seems ridiculous, but I'm, trust me.
These are all people with kids.
Like, not people like you and I who aren't married, who don't have kids.
I'm just telling you the text machine is going to be filled with people telling me how good padding to do.
Out of 98,000 votes, 7.8 out of 10 on average on IMDB is pretty strong.
Yes, because that's a hard, that's a hard rating.
Who's up next?
Got Sean up next.
It has a 99% critics on.
Rotten Tomatoes. You never see that. You never see that. Go ahead, Shaw.
Hey, guys, one definition of making you rich or not is if you're able to go to this Arkansas,
Kentucky for my son. Okay, so my wife said, get some tickets. In zone lower,
started about $1,200 a ticket. Side line lower, about $2,500. I think the Arkansas ticket, just to give
you a second. I think the Arkansas ticket is a good,
chance it's the most expensive ticket in the history of UK basketball,
uh, regular season.
Now, the postseason final pool, or sometimes, I, I think this UK Arkansas game will be
the most expensive ticket in the history of UK basketball.
No doubt, no doubt.
They have a floor seat.
You know the seat you can sit on the floor on the actual court, $9,900.
That's unbelievable.
It's like Taylor Swift numbers.
No, these are.
It is.
It is.
I think you're going to, I appreciate the call.
By the time you get to game time, I think to get in the building is going to be $6 to $800.
And that means to sit like at the top.
Seat you could get for $30 or $15 for Friday night.
I think you're going to see, I think it's going to be the wildest ticket we've ever had.
Yeah, I mean, if you're looking at the most anticipated regular season game, let's say in the last 30 years, going back to
the 90s. Aside for maybe
Rick Petino's return. I think this is bigger.
Yeah, but I mean like, just
something to compare it to, maybe.
Yeah. Maybe that's the only thing that's close, but that was a
December game. Louisville
stunk that year, so
like nobody thought it'd be close. This is
February 1st. Remember where they
placed this on the calendar.
This is the week in between
the conference finals and the Super Bowl.
This is the week that people
start to notice college
basketball, and ESPN has made it,
to where not only is it that Saturday, it's at 9 o'clock.
It's going to be their prime game.
It is going to be, in my opinion, the biggest game that we've ever had at Rupp Arena in terms of hype.
Who's next?
Got Bob up next.
Bob, go ahead, Bob.
Good morning, KSR.
What's up?
You had a lot of interesting subjects this morning.
On your way to Washington, you said you were going to.
going to a reservation.
I'd like to know which one, and I'm also adopted by the Crow Nation over 30 years.
Yeah, I can tell you the one we're going to go to is the Ula-Lakota Nation,
and it's in sort of southwest South Dakota.
That's the one we're going to.
Okay. Well, it's a small one to me, but I got to run against Billy Mills at the Crow Fair.
And that was an honor to see him.
But also, I've got to go. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. We've got to take a break. I appreciate the call.
We're going to take a break and come back. We are here at the Lexington Fire Department.
This is Kentucky Sports Radio. Welcome back, Tucky Sports Radio, 859, 280, 22.
87.
Matt Jones,
Ryan Lemon and Drew Franklin.
What was it like
having all that gear on?
It weighs 65 to 70 pounds,
all included your boots,
your helmet, your oxygen tank.
Then you carry around that tool,
and it's probably 30, 35 pounds.
I mean, that's a lot of weight.
These guys are running into burning houses with.
Imagine you got to climb flights of stairs wearing that.
I got winded just running one loop in here.
Yes, I think if I would not want you come into my house.
First of all, you don't even have a mustache.
So how am I supposed to think that you're a real?
Real firefighter.
How am I supposed to think you're a real firefighter?
Look at his.
Now, that's a mustache.
Yeah.
Look at that.
That's like an 1890s mustache.
That is, yeah.
You put a little wax in there.
That looks great.
Curl it on the end.
I would tell you what, I wouldn't be able to hit your screwball pitch if you were a baseball pitcher.
Like, you'd be able to make that thing.
You'd be able to make that thing move.
Casey would not have been at the bat against you.
I can tell you that.
Listen to this, Chan.
Paddington 2 was the once the highest rated movie of all time on Rotten Tomatoes.
It was 100% positive reviews.
And then Eddie Harrison of Film Authority.com gave it a negative review.
Oh.
Saying it wasn't as good as Paddington 1.
It brought it down and it is now the second highest rated movie of all time, but only because of
Eddie Harrison.
They mentioned the guy's name in the store.
See, the one guy that wanted to knock down Paddington 2 and make a name for himself comes in and gives it a negative review.
I'm looking at the cast here.
Hugh Grant is the only name that I know on here.
So it's not like a star study.
Let me read you one more thing.
One person writes, Matt, I'm 42.
No kids.
I'm not just saying this.
Most fantastic movie I have ever seen changed my life.
Okay.
Now I've got to watch it, right?
If it's changing people's life, I've never heard of this.
It's been out for seven years.
Ryan, do you know this?
I've heard of it, but I've never seen it, but I've heard of the Paddington, too.
Yeah.
So there you go.
One person writes, Matt, I don't like that the Kentucky Arkansas tickets are so expensive.
I think it will keep regular fans from the game.
Maybe so.
It's one game.
But it's one game and it's life.
I mean, like, this is, you know.
It's what makes games like that special when there's that allure.
I do hope, though, it gets a crowd that's loud.
Like, I mean, that's one of things you don't want a bunch of people who paid a lot of money and just sit there and don't,
because that environment needs to.
be like the most special environment we've ever had, right?
There's times that I worry about Ruff Arena's crowd, not really getting into games,
but that right there will not be one of them that I'll be worried about.
All right, one through six, Ryan.
Five.
Five.
Last night, Ryan and I had the best bet in the history of betting.
Most easy bet that ever occurred.
Texas A&M, who's in the SEC, ranked in the top 25.
They were playing at home against a team called Southern that was one and four coming into the game.
Texas A&M opened up as a 33-point favorite.
All of a sudden, we're at trivia.
I'm looking at my phone, looking at scores.
At halftime, Southern is leading by 14.
Yeah.
A&M is a 33-point favorite.
Southern's leading by 14.
I said to Ryan, look at this score.
And Ryan, one of the smarter things he's ever said, said,
said, we should bet it at halftime.
So I looked, even though they were down 14, A&M was a three-point favorite life.
Wow.
And I thought, well, they're going to win.
Yeah.
I mean, they're going to come back.
Right.
So he and I both bet it.
Yes.
He bet a little.
I may have bet a little more than a little.
Got home with 10 minutes left in the second half.
They were, A&M was already up eight.
Easy money right.
They flipped it like that.
They ended up winning the game by 17.
They were down 14 at half, one by 17, which means they won the second half by 31 points.
But that was without question, and I give Ryan Lemon credit for calling it, the easiest bet that's ever occurred.
I think I saw Southern just scored, what, 15 points in the second half.
It scored 15 points in the second half.
Shut them down.
Yeah, talent won out in the end.
Now, did you get the KS bar boost from that?
That's only on UK game.
They'll have that.
I won a big nine.
I cashed a $9 ticket last night.
Look out.
Slow value.
So you're one of the 7.6 millionaires?
Oh, $9, $9 at a time.
What's the most you've ever bet on a game?
In your life.
I bet 20 on that Vanderbilt Alabama football game that you and I kept betting that Alabama would come back and win.
And they did.
That's the most I've ever bet on a game.
What about the horse racing track?
What's the biggest bet you've put?
Two across the board.
$6.
This is why he's a millionaire.
He saves all of his money.
That's how he got there.
So you'll bet $2 on a horse to show.
Across the board, yeah, if I feel good, it's going to win.
I'm going to cash in just rolling into money.
$2 to show.
He's barely betting.
I understand.
Whatever makes you happy, Ryan.
Who's next?
Will is up next.
Will, go ahead, Will.
The milk.
Will?
Yeah, can you hear me?
Gotcha.
All right.
It's, I'm with you on the milk thing.
To me, it's an ingredient.
But the way to drink it is like unpasteurized.
Have you ever tried it unpasteurized?
No, that's gross.
Why would anyone, we have a system to keep disease out of milk?
Why would you want to drink it with an added gulp of disease?
Well, you have to look that up on like pasteurized milk.com or something.
I don't go to powder.
That was fun.
actually pasteurized milk.com.
That was a funny line.
All right, go ahead.
Yeah, so I used to help my great uncles in Adair County,
Cub and Winston, and we would help them out,
and they'd give us the unpasteurized milk.
To me, it tasted better.
It tasted more natural.
It tasted, yeah, more disease-filled.
I guess.
All right, well, good.
I mean, there's a lot of things that taste good,
potentially, that Shannon wouldn't necessarily be good for you.
drinking that. I see that you did bring statistics with your
less milk consumption versus less crime. I saw you tweeted that out.
So contrary to what a lot of people believe, like, violent crime is way
down in society over time. Like since 1980, like we have like
three times less violent crime than we did in the 80s. But also,
America drinks three times less milk than we did in the 80s.
I think that's proof. So I think the fact that we are drinking less milk is also
keeping us from committing as many crimes.
Well, that's the secret.
Let's just eliminate milk from society.
No, no.
For children, I'm fine.
Okay.
It's just grown adults like you.
My dad used to tell stories.
They drink milk right out of the cow.
You think you can do that?
Wait a minute.
Yeah, they drink milk right out of the cow.
Right out of the cow.
Like they put their face down there.
No, you squeeze the udder, and you get some milk in the glass, and you drink it.
Why?
Because you can, I guess.
There's a lot of things you can do.
I don't know why you would want to.
I don't understand.
When we get, like, there is a movement.
It used to be, honestly, the far-left, crazy liberal people.
And it's now all of a sudden the far-right people are doing it, too, to drink unpasteurized milk.
I don't understand why, Shannon.
Milk before pasteurization used to kill people.
Why would you want to go back and do what?
we like we figured out how to fix it why would you want to go back to before i didn't know there
was a movement for that but hey you know social media you see somebody do it then all of a sudden
it becomes a thing oh i blame tic-tok that's the reason i blame ticot that's the reason you say there's
a movement please don't thank you very much i'm all of you all of you all
do and say but like if you're going to laugh at his jokes then i can't promote people
utterly ridiculous.
We've got to stop.
Our draft kings,
our trackings pick of the night.
You go to draft kings,
bet five get $150.
They always have these contests.
They had an NBA king of the court last night where somebody,
Antonio Reeves, by the way, could have won it.
Yeah, very close.
If you picked Antonio Reeves,
you could have won a million dollars.
You go to draft kings, you know,
please gamble responsibly, but use the code KSR.
Bet five, win 150 from draft kings.
Tonight, the steel.
Steelers play the Browns.
Steeler on the road, Steelers a three and a half point favorite.
Feels like a low number.
Who are you taking?
Pittsburgh's had a good season so far.
I'm going to go with the Steelers on the road.
They just had that tough battle with the Ravens.
Now they've got to go on the road and play at Cleveland.
Yeah, just four days later.
Yeah, I'm going to take James Winston and the Cleveland Browns.
You're going to take Cleveland?
Yes.
You know, you look at this and you go, Pittsburgh's 8 and 2, Cleveland's 2 and 8.
How is it only 3 and a half points?
but road teams tend to struggle on Thursday night,
coming right off the thing.
It's going to be cold.
It's going to be cold.
It's going to be snowy.
I'm going to take Cleveland to cut out as well.
I am.
I don't know if they'll win,
but I'm going to take them to.
It gets cold in Pittsburgh, too.
I mean, they know what cold weather is.
I understand that.
It just gets colder in Cleveland.
It doesn't?
Yeah, it comes from the way and wind.
All right, good.
859-280, 27.
By the way, another thing from the Lexington Fire Department,
their toy program is going off on now.
You can drop off new unwrapped toys.
Is this right, at any Lexington Fire Station.
Now through December 12th, the toys will then be provided for thousands of children in the Lexington area.
This is a great program they've been doing for a long time.
Yes, they have.
been here.
The Toys for Tots.
I commend them for what they do that.
They do it every single year.
They do it every year.
So if you have an unwrapped toy, there's a bin that will be in front of all the fire stations now through December 12th, and you can drop it by.
It's always nice.
I sometimes see groups of kids that will come and bring it for other kids.
I think that's a really cool thing the fire department does.
We'll take a break.
And be right back.

Sometimes when we're in the pursuit of the thing,
we get so wrapped up in the chase
that we don't realize that we are in possession of the thing.
And we're still chasing it.
And we don't know when we've done enough.
Because people scoreboard watch.
Life becomes about wins and losses.
Steve Burns, Dustin Ross,
because you find it important to be a good person
while you hear on earth?
Are you a good person because you're afraid?
Because that's two different intentions, bro.
Absolutely. And that's two different levels of trust.
I want you to just really be a good person.

Life throws hurdles big and small. The question is, how do you conquer them?
On hurdle with Emily Abadi, we sit down with the most inspiring women in sports and wellness.
professional athletes, coaches, and Olympic champions
to talk about the challenges that shaped them
and the mindset that keeps them going.
From the WNBA standout Kate Martin
and rising hockey star Layla Edwards.
If a boy can do it, I don't see why a girl can't.
Like, I've never understood that.
Like, it didn't make sense in my brain.
It's hard to be in spaces that no one looks like you,
but don't ever feel like you don't belong.
Don't let that be the reason you don't do it.
An Olympic champs Gabby Thomas and Katie Ledecki.
The ability to show a gold medal to someone
and have their face light up and smile.
That means the world to me.
And that's what motivates me to win more gold medals.
At our level, at this scale, like being able to fail in front of the entire world.
Like, I can do anything.
I can do anything.
Because resilience isn't just about winning.
It's about showing up, even when it's hard.

It's the enhanced games.
Some call it grotesque.
Others say it's unleashing human potential.
Either way, the podcast's Superhuman documented it all,

Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds.

Cornbread hemp.com. If you, you know, let's say you had a job where you had 24 straight hours going.
You might need to rest and relax. How about cornbread hymn.com?
Promoco. KSR. What? Can't do it. You know what? We can do it. Full spectrum flower only hemp CBD.
You can rest. You can relax 30% off using a member. KSR. It's Bogo KSR.
B-O-G-O-K-S-R that will allow you to get buy one, get one free through the start of December.
Bogo KSR, for people who've always said, should I try this?
Now is the best time because you get buy one, get one free, Bogo KSR.
I hope that they supply us for our trip coming up with maybe some extras.
I've got mine.
You just worry about yourself and it will take place.
All right, one through five.
By the way, let's see, the early line on Kentucky Louisville football is out.
What do you think the thing is on Kentucky Louisville football?
Louisville three.
That's exactly what I was going to say.
Louisville two and a half.
Yeah.
That's interesting.
Hubey Brown, some breaking news.
Hubey Brown is going to retire at the end of the season.
Take a guess of how old Hubey Brown is.
82.
84.
Still calling games.
Yeah.
Hubey Brown is 91 years.
Is he really?
Wow.
Still calling basketball games.
I retire at this point.
You're 91.
Keep going.
Make him carry you out of there.
That's what I would do.
He still does a good job.
Yes, he does.
I hear him on games.
I think he, you know, I mean, you could tell he's older, but he's still sharp and still
seems to know about what's going on.
So I think it's very cool.
So at 91, he decided, you know what, I'm going to go see the world now.
So I'm going to retire.
You know what, I'm done.
Yeah.
Former Kentucky Colonels coach.
during their heyday, Hubey Brown.
He looks the same now at 91 that he did 30 years ago.
Yeah, he looked old at 51, but he instantly stayed looking the same, though, when he got.
So he actually looks good at 91, even though he looked old at 50.
I totally agree with that.
That's impressive.
That's like Greg Gumbull.
Like, the guy never aged.
You know, they put him in like a cryonization type chamber and then bring them out every march.
Greg Gumbull did not age.
All right.
One through five.
For four topics we won't get talked about.
Shannon, one through five.
Number five.
Perfect.
I'm glad you picked this one.
Today starts a run of three straight weeks where if you wanted every afternoon, not just every night, every afternoon you could watch college basketball.
Love it.
Starting at noon.
The holiday tournaments start today.
So college basketball will be on starting at noon every day for the next three weeks.
I'm going to give you the tournament starting today.
I can't wait.
I'm excited.
See if you're excited about this.
There's an eight-team tournament called the Boardwalk Battle.
Would you like to know what channel that's on?
Let's hear it.
Baller TV.
What is that?
I do not know.
Didn't know that existed.
Have you ever heard of that channel?
No.
What is Baller TV?
It's like Lamello Balls.
Do you know Mario?
Do you know what?
Is it lame?
It's not Lvart.
Where do you watch Baller TV?
It's online?
Never heard of it.
Here are the other.
The Myrtle Beach Invitational.
Yeah.
The Shriners Children's Charlton Classic.
Charleston Classic.
Oh, it's a classic.
And then the boardwalk battle, which includes a big game from LaSalle versus UC San Diego.
Now, I know those don't sound the most exciting games.
But starting this week, then next week is the Maui Invitational, the Bahamas tournament, then the NIT, like all these big games.
basically every major team in the country is playing one except us.
Like it's really all the good teams are doing it, but we're in the BBN invitation.
See, I love it.
Did you throw on your TV?
You don't have to watch what, Judge Judy or Family Feud.
You can watch a ballgame.
Like mid-afternoon TV is not very strong.
It's bad, but you can have college basketball for now on.
Who's next?
Casey is up next.
Casey, go ahead, Casey.
Hey, good morning, fellas.
I just wanted to call and thank everyone.
for all the love and the prayers.
And I had to ask anything question.
Well, hang on before you do that, before you do the question, for people who don't know,
Casey fell, I'm sure some firefighters in Louisville probably helped get her.
And you had to go to the hospital.
It was a pretty serious fall.
Tell everybody how you're doing.
Yeah, I'm actually doing physical therapy as you speak.
I'm doing pretty good.
I'm definitely on the man.
My spleen is ruptured.
so just have to take it really easy for now.
But I appreciate all the prayers, and the firefighters were great.
All the amulous drivers, all those people are heroes.
But my asking you anything question is if you could take a road trip with any four people,
who would you guys choose, living or dead?
Thank you all so much for taking my course.
I mean, I would choose Ryan Lim and Shannon, the dude, Mario, and Drew Franklin,
I think is probably what I'd choose.
That was going to be my answer too.
I have to tell you, for me, Charles Barkley,
That's a good one.
Charles Barkley, Larry David,
because he'd complain the whole time.
I don't know.
Nate Bargotsie, maybe, and Shane Gillis.
I feel like that would be, we would have fun, the whole trip.
I want every old-school wrestler that's still alive.
You're going to take like Jake the Snake Roberts?
Give me Flair, Hogan, Lawler.
I got to put him in there.
Aren't you just going to be, like,
you're just going to be hauling around old people and, like, help the move?
I would love it.
the million dollar man there you go there's my four i'm jake sorry man you get extra trod you're just
gonna haul around four geriatric resters could you imagine the stories you would get i'm a lot
of stories but i mean you're gonna have to eat at shoneys at 4 30 every after i'm totally fine
with that it would be worth it all right what about you uh hollyberry okay this is not like a single
he said you know any four this is not though like ryan lemon's
Chikabow wow.
Yeah, I mean, this is not.
Power.
That would just, I think you would just watch them turn you down for fours for a week.
It would be fun trying.
Okay, I'll pick, how about my heroes then, my childhood heroes?
Lou Brock.
Dead.
He said dead or alive.
Okay.
So you would bring dead, dead Lou Brock.
Coffin's going to take a lot of room up.
Larry Bird.
What'd you say?
The coffin's going to take a lot of space.
You better be driving hers.
That was really mean.
All right.
Lou Brock.
Who else?
Larry Bird.
Larry Byrd and my dad.
And then who's the fourth one?
Oh, I got four.
Hallie Berry.
You think Hallie Berry's going to have on front on that trip with you, Lou Brock, Larry Bird and your dad?
I tell you what?
You think Hallie Barry's going to enjoy that trip?
Larry Bird's in the back.
Hallie's riding shotgun with me.
And then just Lou Brock and your dad.
I'm sure they be thrilled to be with you.
Sounds like the worst trip I can imagine.
Tomorrow, where are we?
Gray Line Station down on Loudoun Avenue.
Estate renovations.
Estate renovations.
Hey, thank you the folks here at the Lexington Fire Department for making us feel so welcome.
Again, you can join the team here.
Applications start November 25th.
Seriously, this was a lot of fun.
Learned a lot.
Ryan, thank you for being a good sport and get ready for your road trip with Lou Brock.
And Halle Berry.
And Friday, also Kentucky plays Jackson State.
our pregame show will be at 4.30.
We will see you again tomorrow here from Lexington.
