Another podcast from some SNL late-night comedy guy, not quite.
Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and Friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer, Streeter Seidel,
help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.

Welcome, everyone.
It is Kentucky Sports Radio Friday,
November the 22nd.
I am Matt Jones here at Estate Renovations
in Lexington at the Grey Line Station
off of Loudon.
We are here, Ryan Lim and Shannon the dude.
Billy's going to join us.
Drew is in Austin,
getting ready for the big game tomorrow.
And you can give us a shout on the club.
Clark's Pubbit Shop phone line 859-280-2287.
A Vision Auto Glass text machine is 772-7745-254.
This edition sponsored by the T.J. Smith-Lauvus.
You call T.J. He'll make them pay.
We are here.
This is a cool office, like a modern office here at Estate Renovations.
They do, Ryan, luxury estate renovations, high-end custom remodeling and upgrade, spa-like bathrooms, and whole-home renovations.
If you want to make your house look amazing, these are the people.
Yeah, really, you know, since COVID, the trend has been.
Instead of buying and selling your house, remodel your current house.
Is that the trend?
Yeah, yeah.
I think it all started with COVID, really, where people just stuck at the house.
So they started remodeling their own house.
And, of course, everybody wants a spa bathroom, man.
That's what you want.
You want a fancy.
Don't you want one, Matt?
I would love to have one.
I mean, first I have to, like, get the house.
But once I get the house, then the spa-like bathroom is coming.
and the closets for the shoes, it'll be perfect.
Here's the cool thing about it, too.
They will actually send somebody out with you shopping to help you pick what you want.
Do I have to go?
You might want to have some input if it's your house.
Unless you don't care.
No, I seriously, this is the true story.
If I could find a house where it was already like everything done
and they would just put my stuff in it and I could just walk in, that's what I would like to.
Well, they could do that, I'm sure.
That would be what I would like.
I don't want to have any input.
Anything I were to pick would be worse than what someone professional would pick.
I'm 100% convinced of that.
But like, you know, with all your shoes, if you wanted a certain way to, you know, store your shoes,
a state planning could make that for you.
If you could see how they're stored now, you would see anything would be better than what they are.
It's like the border around your room.
Exactly.
That's exactly right.
I've closed the border.
I'm not allowing any illegals to come in behind my shoe and my shoe and my shoes.
and my shoes close the border around my house on the floor.
859-280-2287.
We're giving away a ton of stuff here today.
Now, this is not the easiest place to find.
You have to come into Gray Line.
You've got to walk up to the second floor, take an elevator, take a right.
You have to know a secret password.
But once you get in, we're going to be giving away a lot of stuff, gift cards,
maybe even a special prize at the end.
Although I don't know for sure because I haven't gotten it confirmed yet.
But that is all here today at estate renovations.
And this is this is a part of town.
I don't get in a lot, but I went to school right over there close at Transylvania.
Yeah, Gray Lines kind of become this kind of a hipster area.
You know, they got North Lime donuts downstairs.
Hipster.
Yeah, they got a brewery coming down there.
So this kind of a hipster area, and this estate planning has the entire second floor.
All the second floor up here.
So it's a hipster area.
Did you know that?
No, are you saying North Lime is hipster donuts?
I didn't know there's such a thing.
Yeah, super hipster.
When I was at Trancy, you didn't come over here.
And this entire neighborhood has been completely redone.
I mean, like when I was at Trancy, this was the part of Lexington.
Shannon, you kind of stayed away from.
And now, like, this is the place to be.
I wouldn't want to come hang out here, you know, get my house redone, remodeled.
This used to be the old bus station.
Yeah.
And it was vacant for years and years and years.
And generally speaking, I don't care where you are in America.
You don't want to hang out at the bus station.
That's generally...
I've had it. It's interesting. When you're in Europe, the train station tends to be like where a lot of stuff is.
In America, you tend to not want to be where the bus station is. So this is a much bigger upgrade than where it would be in the bus station.
At least here, there's a brewery up the road so you can go, you know, have yourself a brusky while you're in the area.
Big weekend for Kentucky. This is one of what, two or three weekends during the year where Kentucky will play basketball on Friday night.
They will play football on Saturday.
Tonight, Kentucky and Jackson State.
Tomorrow, Kentucky and Texas.
I'm not sure the discrepancy of opponents could be greater in the two games.
We're playing one of the worst basketball teams in Division 1 tonight,
and then we're playing one of the best football teams in Division 1 tomorrow.
So two major differences.
Now, Shannon, you remember Ryan had homework.
I love this.
He was supposed to do some previews.
He was supposed to learn the lineup, the roster of Jackson State.
Did you do that?
I did.
As awful as it was to watch that Jackson State team play basketball.
I suffered through it to get you your scouting report because they are really bad.
Which game did you watch?
Was it the Western Kentucky game?
I watched the Western Kentucky game, and it was horrible.
All right, so I'm going to throughout the show just throw you out a number of a player,
and you have to be ready to give me some sort of scouting reports.
By number or name?
I can do either one, which would you prefer?
I think I know them both.
Oh, he knows of both.
Oh, wow.
Hold on.
Hold on.
Sorry, I don't believe that.
I don't believe that.
I do not believe you know them both.
So I'm going to do, all right, we'll test you.
I'm going to do like one.
I'm going to bring Billy on it a little bit, too, to do a few to see who does the better scouting report.
But let's just throw one out there.
Tell me about number seven.
He's from Silicaaga, Alabama.
Give me the scouting report on number seven. I'll even help you since it's your first one. I know him
Well, what's his name? Grant
Grant. His name is Grant. Okay Wow
Wow. All right. So tell me about number seven
Shannon Grant. I'm so happy you picked him first. He's my favorite player on the team. He is a big butt post player. Okay
290. Okay two 90. That's correct
6-9 290 you talk about baby shack or Robert tractor trailer. He's that guy. So if he gets it to get two very different players
your Shadden. Baby, Shaq was really good. Tractor trailer was just really fat. But go ahead.
Big dude, you're getting the ball down in the post. He can score on you. So it's going to be a good matchup for Amari Williams.
But if he steps out of the paint, like Amari Williams, let him shoot it. No shot. But he's, he's, uh...
So does he go left or right? Both. Yeah. Both. Depends on what kind of mood he's in. Right. Yeah. But he doesn't play a lot because he gets tired of up and up and up and down the floor.
There were a couple times in western Kentucky. He would just standing underneath the paint. Just not even put his hands up. Just standing like a dude. He's got to get out of there.
So he's your favorite player.
He's my favorite player.
I'm so glad you picked him first.
Big butt post player.
You guys will see him tonight, number seven.
You know what?
I'm impressed so far.
I mean, one for one.
Yeah, yeah, checks out.
You said big butt.
You said $2.90.
That checks out.
When I looked at the roster, I saw one of these dudes is $290 pounds.
I think he'll remember that guy.
I wanted to give him a little softball to get started.
So there you go.
One for one.
Well done.
What do you want to see from Kentucky tonight, right?
Since, you know, we played so well against Duke, really well against Lipscomb,
this will be the worst team we play all year.
This is the worst of the teams on the roster.
So this is the game where in theory, Noah, Perry, all those guys.
Like, this is their game.
What do you want to see tonight?
Should score over 100 and should hold them like in the 60s.
I mean, it should be like a 40-point butt kicking tonight.
You're right, because this will be the worst team they play all year.
How about just a barrage of three-point shots?
You know, and hopefully a lot of them going down.
and maybe Kobe Brea can continue to shoot, what, he's shooting, what, 82% from the 3.1?
Yeah, it's crazy.
So I think just a lot of threes.
Normally, I look at a game like this, and there's usually a player that I say, okay, well, this guy hasn't been playing well.
I want to see him have a good game tonight.
That's usually how I look at this.
But right now, what's crazy is right, of all the dudes that play quite a bit, they're all playing pretty well.
So I don't really have one.
You're right.
The last game you asked me that question, I thought I'd like.
to see Lamar Butler maybe hit down a couple of shots.
Lamont Butler, knock down a couple of shots.
He knows the Jackson's state roster, but he knows Kentucky roster.
You want him to knock down a couple shots, and he did that, you know.
So is there any one guy, maybe your boy, Angeley Almanor, maybe get off a little bit better?
The guys that play, I'm not sure any of them are playing poorly.
I mean, they all have had good moments.
They've all shot the ball pretty well.
You know, Shannon, I guess you could be picky and say, well, I'd like.
to see Colin Chandler play a little bit more or better or maybe you say something about the kids from Kentucky.
But I am almost too positive about this basketball team.
I'm almost like when's the rug going to get pulled out from under me?
Because we're playing nine guys, all of whom are playing well.
If you're being negative now, you're just nitpicking.
You're really looking for something to be negative.
I don't really see anything yet.
Maybe we can have something after the Gonzaga-Clemsing game.
But for right now, everybody's playing well.
I think this is a game where the Kentucky guys do get a lot of minutes tonight.
And this is a game, I think, where people can have a lot of fun.
I mean, I think the decision you may, in the last few years, Kentucky has moved to playing these games on Friday night instead of Sunday.
I think that's a good decision.
I think it's easier for the crowd.
I think you're going to get a great crowd tonight, just my initial inclination.
You know, we usually can tell at the bar.
I think this is going to be a really good crowd.
And I think it's also going to be a lot of fun and energy from a fan base that still kind of wants to.
to celebrate the Duke win now a week and a half ago.
We want these feel-good wins.
We're kind of overdue for these feel-good wins,
and I think that's what we're going to get tonight,
and I agree with you.
I think I'll have a huge crowd there tonight at Ruck.
Let's switch to the football.
Okay, less excited about this football game tomorrow.
Kentucky is, what's the spread now?
20.
20.
I am amazed some of what I'm hearing about how many Kentucky fans are down in Austin.
I actually think we're going to have an insanely big crowd down there.
I hope we're able to put on a show for them.
Because, I mean, I had people telling me they were on a flight from Raleigh, Durham,
and there were 25 people with UK gear on their flight from Raleigh to Austin.
So, I mean, I think you're going to see, like, a lot of Kentucky fans there.
Are they going to see a game Ryan that's competitive?
I hope they do.
Not hope.
Are they going to see?
We all hope.
We all hope.
The question is, will they?
I'm really worried about this game because it means a lot, you know, to Texas.
It's a big deal for them.
You know, the fact that we can't score over 20 points in an SEC game scares me because I don't know if we can hold them to under 20 points a game.
We can't.
No.
We're not going to hold them to under 20.
We're going to have to score.
Well, I mean, for us to win, I guess you would hope it would be like the old Miss game where it's like you do kind of limit them.
Maybe you win 2420 or 2421 or something like that.
I think we're probably going to have to have.
We're certainly going to have, Shannon, our best.
offensive game of the year to have a chance to be compared.
I think you're going to have to have some turnovers.
I think you're going to have maybe a defensive score or something like a pick six.
Maybe.
You know, if there's anything that gives you hope, Arkansas did hold Texas to 20 points last week.
If it's that type of game, if Kentucky's defense can hold up, I could see a scenario where Kentucky
can win, you know, 21, 20, 24, something like you're talking about.
I think the biggest, bigger thing is for me, this is going to be a judge in some ways about
next week because we can beat Louisville. I mean, even with all that's happened, we can still
beat Louisville. Right now, Louisville's a three-point favorite in this game. They have struggled
this year. I don't think there's any doubt we have more talent than Louisville. But my question is,
have we mailed it in or not? It's hard to know, right? Like, it's complete, like we played well
against Tennessee, but then there's two weeks off, and some of the guys didn't even play against
Murray, and it was hard to really read anything to the Murray game. They're terrible.
For me, this game could go one of two ways.
I could see it to where it's the fourth quarter and we're in it, like Ole Miss, like Georgia, like Tennessee.
I could also see us losing by 40.
And it kind of being like a final referendum on Stoops tomorrow, I just don't know which one of those will happen.
See, I think you're right.
I mean, the three best games Kentucky has played in the SEC all year.
Three hardest.
I've been against the three toughest teams, Georgia, Ole Miss, and Tennessee.
played well, really, in all three of those games.
You've got to hope that maybe there's some of that can carry down to Austin and
tomorrow.
There's a lot rotting on these last two games of the season.
If you can keep it competitive tomorrow and then beat Louisville,
I think that I'm still optimistic with Stoops moving forward.
If you get blown out tomorrow and you lose to Louisville, that's a complete 180.
You know, there's a saying that says time heals all wounds, right?
So what often happens, especially what I've learned from coaches that are at all,
all in a controversial position where fans can go either way.
In the moment after a loss, people lose their minds, right?
But then over time, it, you know, kind of evens out.
For me, for Stoves, the fan base is evened out a little bit.
I think a lot of this fan base is like, okay, he's probably coming back.
I'm okay with that, blah, blah, blah.
But if you take a 40-point loss against Texas,
and then you lose to Louisville,
that's an entirely different situation.
So I actually think tomorrow's game is extremely important for Mark Stoops.

I mean, I don't dislike it.
It seems like a nice fella, but just a little distance is good.
We'll take a break and be right back.

859-2-807 here at the, at our favorite estate renovations up here in Grayline Station.
My folks here that work in estate renovations, you've got to bring it down a little bit if you're standing in the back.
859-280-2287, 772-772-754.
How about this?
Over under passing yards.
Vandegraiff, 135.
That's a low number.
That's a low number they got here.
What are you putting?
Over if they're going to be competitive.
I mean, unless they just get completely blown out,
you've got to have that much from Brock.
What do you think?
I think I would go over on that.
You hit on a couple deep balls.
You're already pushing 135.
But I do think, though, you give Wilcox a lot of touches
and let him just run them over if he can.
But here's what's crazy.
All right, how about this?
DSK rushing yards.
Guess what the number is?
First of all, what do you think the number should be for DSK rushing yards over under?
Well, like Shannon said, I think they're going to give the ball to Wilcox.
Okay, but that's what it should be.
75.
I'd say 35.
Yeah.
You're smarter.
It's 37.
Yeah.
I don't know if he'll get a whole lot of touches because I think they really want to jumpstart Wilcox for next season.
Is that like insight there?
Maybe.
Some scoop.
All right.
Well, there you go.
Wow, I like it.
One person writes, Matt, what do you think is more likely the amount of points we beat Jackson, or higher, excuse me, the amount of points we beat Jackson State or the amount of points Texas beats us?
Ew.
I'm going to go.
I'm going to say we beat Jackson State.
I think it would be very unlikely we don't beat them by more than, say, 30.
And I think it's going to be very difficult.
I mean, we could lose by more than 30 in football, but that would take more.
of a bad performance so i'm gonna say i'm gonna say i would say we went in basketball by at least 40 points
and i don't think we get blown about 40 tomorrow against texas i hope not yeah i'm home with you guys man
i think our defense can still step up and kind of contain them a little bit where we keep it under 40 for
crying out loud by the way the Kentucky jackson state line 35.5.5. yeah we just both said 40 so i guess
we're 305.5.5. 859-280 2287 by the way tell me about number 12 on jackson state
He's a bench player.
His last name is Williams.
Is he right?
Yeah.
Wow.
He doesn't play a lot.
He comes in and kind of just gives you spot minutes.
Doesn't do anything offensively.
Doesn't help you whatsoever.
He's basically an all-American clapper that comes off the bitch.
That's three things.
I got to give it to you.
Listen, he's two for two.
Geez.
I don't know, Shannon.
Does this guy maybe?
Did he do his homework?
Maybe?
Can we put you on the bench tonight just in case he needs like a,
extra assistant coach yell at me and I'll tell you.
I'm surprised.
The fact that you knew their name is kind of surprised.
Name and number.
All right.
Well, we still got more people on the roster,
and I'm going to make you try to beat out Billy,
who also did research in a minute.
Who's up first?
Asher is up first.
Asher, go ahead.
Asher.
Hey, first time calling Matt.
Who are?
What's up?
A couple questions.
Have you guys figured out where you're doing the remote show in Seattle?
We have not yet.
I have no places.
I'm going to work on that next week.
But like I said, Iowa City, Platt, South Dakota, Laramie, Wyoming, Boise, Salt Lake, and Seattle will be the places we do shows.
Gotcha, gotcha, gotcha.
And have you heard of the app called Air Message?
I have not, no.
Well, you know how you guys are always talking about how Ryan screws up your text with
with his Android phone.
It's an app that allows him with an Android
to text you guys through iMessage
and it's compatible with group chats.
Yeah, he won't be able to do any of that.
I can tell you.
Sounds really confusing.
You mentioned four different things right there.
iPhone, Android, Air Message,
app.
None of that.
Ryan will be able to do none of that.
Well, he's doing well with his player quizzes,
so I don't know.
I understand.
And he spent a month's worth.
worth of work to get that done.
I appreciate the call.
There's no chance that's going to work.
Ryan has ruined more group chats than anyone on that.
A lot of times I'll get like just half of the conversation.
I'll get it like halfway in.
I'm like, I don't know what you guys are talking about.
You guys are going back and forth, and I don't get them because of Ryan.
I'm blaming your phone.
He mentioned the trip.
You guys, I mean, you realize we are nine days away from getting in a car and driving all the way to Seattle.
I just asked Mario if he was ready for it and he said, do I need boots?
and I said, I don't know.
I would say yes, because there's going to be snow somewhere in those cities.
I'm not taking any boots.
We'll be good, Mario, me and you.
Y'all can walk around with one shoes if you want.
But, I mean, this is going to be a long trip.
I look, they gave me an offer for us to fly first back, fly first class back.
I turned it down just so you know.
Well, I don't.
Well, I mean, don't.
Oh, you got the $2,500 extra dollars it was going to cost for the five of them to throw up.
to fly back?
I think these people would pony up for us for our comfort.
I don't want to spoil anything for Mario, but he's got special plans for Shannon to keep him
engaged with all of us on the trip.
No, I've already told you, if I sleep, let me sleep.
Don't be waking me up.
You think I'm grumpy.
Wait till you mess with me on the road trip.
Hey, by the way, I just want to give a heads up to the people in Lexington.
If your Fox Station is the Lexington Fox Station, so if you're listening and you're in the
Lexington viewing area.
I'm going to give you some bad news.
A big game tomorrow, Indiana, Ohio State will not be on in Lexington.
They are preempting it for a high school basketball tournament.
Now, it is a high school basketball tournament that includes Malachi Moreno and the Great Crossing Team,
but Indiana, Ohio State will not be on Fox tomorrow.
Now, you can watch it on the Fox Sports app, but like, I don't know how that works, but you can.
Indiana, Ohio State is not on television.
I don't think the average person knows that.
That's the biggest game of the day tomorrow,
and I am expecting utter, if I worked at Fox 56,
I would tell them close the phone lines from noon to 3.30,
because I'm sure there's a lot of Indiana fans in this area,
and the game is not on.
They are putting a high school basketball tournament on instead.
I didn't know that, but I've been at a TV station when things like that happen,
and the phone rings nonstop for the entire length of the game.
So I feel sorry for those folks at Fox 56 tomorrow.
I'm sure.
From what I understand, they thought it was going to be Northwestern versus Michigan, Shannon.
And they thought, well, we could preempt that for this.
But now you're going to get Indiana, Ohio State.
Both teams in the top 10.
I mean, it is the game of the day at noon tomorrow.
And it will not be on.
And we're only, what, two and a half hours, three hours from Bloomington?
And it's not going to be.
And what, three hours from Columbus?
Yeah.
And not going to be on.
So it's just here in Lexington, I guess, if you want to watch that game.
It's only in the Lexington viewing area.
So if you get Fox 56, even if you're in Winchester, Georgetown.
If that's your Fox station, you will not have that game tomorrow.
So it's just a heads up.
We think we'll have it at the bar.
So if you don't get it here and you want to watch it, we think we'll have it.
I say think because we've got to deal with the same stuff everybody else does and try to find it.
Is it a night game tomorrow night?
It's noon.
Oh, it's at noon.
It's at noon.
It's the big.
noon kickoff or whatever it is.
So just a heads up
for everybody. We're going to take a break. We are here
at State Renovations and Grey Line
Station. This is Kentucky Sports Radio.
Welcome back, Tucky Sports Radio.
Everyone is now riding me and tell me on their
cable system or whatever where they can watch it.
It is true. If you have YouTube TV,
there's a Fox 4K stream that it will be on.
So if you have YouTube TV, you can watch
it on Fox 4K. I was told
we will have it at the bar. So it will be
at the bar. So if you want to come watch it. By the way, today and tomorrow at the bar,
you get the 100% profit boost both days on Draft Kings because anytime UK plays, you can get it.
It will be today and tomorrow. So make sure you can do it. You can't find that boost anywhere else.
No, I mean, that's the best. By the way, did you see the story? Did we talk about the story about
how Draft Kings and Fandle lost all that money? Did we talk about that on here? It's really a fascinating,
well, one person says yes, one person says no. So I don't know. One person wasn't listening.
Did we say it?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Basically, the favorites all won in week five.
In the NFL, all 14 favorites won, and it's the first time that's ever happened,
and it cost these betting companies like $40, 50 million because all the NFL favorites won in the same week.
And I say to them, whee, you make money every other week.
I mean, they are our biggest advertisers, so maybe you should.
I mean, literally, they pay probably as much as the other ones.
I would rather you not taunt them with wang.
Maybe just take it down a notch.
I got you.
Just a little bit.
All right.
Message delivered.
Yeah.
59-2-80-2287.
All right, Billy's on here as well.
Hey, guys.
Bill, you did your research.
I did.
This is not a good Jackson State team.
You're right.
I mean, they didn't score a point for the first seven minutes of the game versus Western.
They didn't score for the first seven minutes.
No.
All right.
So let's just let's let's let Ryan go.
I'm going to give you a player.
All right.
Tell me about number 20.
Number 20 is Jose Rania.
Close.
Juan Rania.
He's a left-handed point guard that comes off the bench.
But he plays a lot of minutes.
He played as many minutes as a starting point guard.
Good shooter, left-handed.
He still left-handed.
He doesn't really attack the basket much.
I think the other guy's a better point guard, but this guy's a better shooter.
So when he comes in, he's coming in.
We have to pay attention to him because he can shoot it.
Can you add anything to that bill?
I believe he's a senior.
He is a senior, yes.
And so he's doing his thing, so he's pretty good.
You just say he was doing his thing?
That's a Ryan limit.
He's doing his thing.
Is he maybe the leader?
No, I wouldn't call him the leader, but, you know.
All right, well, maybe then you can tell me about my guy number 10.
Number 10.
Not a starter, Matt, so I don't know much about number 10.
Do you know anything about number 10?
He's not on the scouting report.
DNP, did not play.
Well, his name is Ebo.
That's why I said.
Oh, I'm going to give you another chance.
Tell me about number three.
Number three, he's a leading score on the team.
He actually had five threes versus Xavier.
So he's got some length, or 26 points in that game.
You know, he's pretty good.
Right-handed.
He's going to be the focal point of this team.
So when you look at number three, look at a player that is.
So number three is a guy to watch?
Guy to watch.
What's his name?
Mitchell.
Mitchell.
Mitchell, it is the name, Mitchell.
I'm more impressed that Ryan,
Those names and numbers.
And Billy's right.
He's the leading score.
He played awful against Western Kentucky.
He, I kept thinking, why are they letting this guy play?
And then I look up, he's the leading score because he played really bad.
He just said he had 26 points.
How could you say it?
Against Xavier.
He had that against Xavier.
He got blown out.
Yeah, he didn't play well.
He's a hometown kid.
He's from Jackson, Mississippi.
Almost the entire.
Hang on.
He is from Jackson, Mississippi.
How do you know that?
Unbelievable.
What has gotten into you?
told me to do a thorough scouting report.
I'm trying to find out everything about me guys.
If he knows this, Shannon, I'm going to be amazed.
He transferred in from a school.
Do you know what school he transferred in from?
Indian Hills.
Indian Hills.
One of them transferred from Indian is something.
But I will say his high school's name is Indian Hills.
Oh, that's what it was.
That's what it was.
Wow.
My mind is officially blown.
I knew it.
You know his high school?
Oh, I looked him up.
You know his height and weight?
I mean, my goodness, what's left to know about the guy?
I couldn't figure out why he was playing.
I thought he must have risque pictures of Coach Mo Williams because he lived playing him.
And he wasn't doing anything.
Mo Williams, is that the former Alabama?
Yeah, NBA guy.
He's their coach.
Billy said what, is his third year there?
Third year there, one of four people to win an NBA title.
That's a coach of a college team now.
Oh, really?
Well, who are the other three?
No idea.
Okay, well, that's close enough.
Is it possible that Ryan knows more about Jackson State than Kentucky's own players?
I will say this.
He knows more about Jackson State than Kentucky's.
he does the U.S. government.
There's no question about that.
I think I'm going to do the pregame show and place a coach Pope tonight with Tom Leap.
I'm going to break down all the players.
You've actually not done a terrible job.
We're going to keep going, though, because at some point he may end up missing.
Who's up next?
David is up next.
David, go ahead, David.
Hey, Matt.
Hey, Matt.
Hey, David.
How are you?
I'm good.
I'm still excited from the basketball team.
And, and I'm also excited for Thanksgiving.
You know, UK has played about three times on Thanksgiving.
I remember one time they played on against Col.
Yeah, they play in the holiday tournaments occasionally on Thanksgiving.
Yeah, this year we play the day after Thanksgiving.
Yeah, I would like to see us do that play on Thanksgiving Day.
I hope we get back to play.
That way I can see something enjoyable.
Yeah.
The Dallas Cowboys, I understand.
I would like to see us getting back, Ryan, too, to play in these holiday tournaments.
I mean, Cal was, like, fundamentally against them.
I haven't heard, I think Pope said he wanted to go back to Maui,
so I hope that ends up happening.
Yeah, Pope has kind of already gone on record.
He wants to get back to that, whether it's the Maui Invitational or Bahamas tournament
or something, this Thanksgiving holiday tournaments.
I think he wants to get back to doing that.
And it's a reward for our fans.
The fan base loves going to those games.
I loved going when I went.
the one year. The BBN Invitational is a wonderful event, Shannon.
But I think I would be okay if we skipped it and maybe went to Maui or something like that.
I didn't even know what was going on outside of us playing these teams.
Like when Western was playing Jackson State, did you even know what was going on?
It's a fraud of a tournament, to be honest.
It's a fraud.
Well, no, I mean, it is.
Us and Duke are like the only great teams that do this.
All the other really good teams go play in these holiday tournaments.
And there are more and more of them.
There's a couple of them going on right now.
Last night there was one like us doing this this is a money grab.
It's two things.
One, it's that Cal didn't want to play in them.
And two, it's a money grab because you get three home games.
But still, for your fans, nobody wants to see us play Jackson State tonight
instead of going and playing in Maui or the Bahamas or whatever.
We're Kentucky.
We could pick what turn.
We could create a tournament in the Bahamas if people would come play.
What they do with this is just going to go.
Go ahead, Dave.
We can recreate the UK IT.
I remember reading about that.
Yeah, but that one stinks too.
I mean, we didn't play anybody good in that either.
I mean, I want to play good teams in these tournaments.
That's what people want to see.
That's true.
Well, David, have a great thing.
Happy Thanksgiving to you, too, as well.
David's like the only person, Billy, that I will let interrupt me on the phone.
The rest of the people can't, but he can't.
Well, you said there's no good teams.
You play Western on Tuesday.
Come on, in-state opponent.
Oh, oh.
I say, I don't mind us playing Western.
I mean, if you're going to play a team like that, Ryan, Western's fine for me for that.
I love it.
I love the fact that Western's on the schedule.
Western's pretty good, too.
It'll be a much better game than it will be tonight, and I'm looking forward to it.
And I'm glad Western is finally recognized we ain't going down there.
Like, they're, and Murray State's got to do the same thing.
Murray's got to stop with this idea that we're going to play them home and home.
Just get your butts in a car and drive to Lexington.
if you want to play against Kentucky.
We're not coming there, Billy.
Yeah, we're not going to Murray State.
That's not going to happen.
Who's up next?
Michael is up next.
Michael, go ahead, Michael.
Yes, sir.
Long time, first time.
Who are?
What's up?
On your remark about the game tonight,
I feel that it's good for fans like me
because tonight I'm going.
It's the first game I ever see.
Okay.
And it's an early anniversary present from my wife.
So wait a minute, so you've never been to a Kentucky game before?
No, sir.
And so you and your wife are coming?
Are you going to dinner before or after?
Probably after.
Okay.
Well, I'll tell you what, if you get a chance, pop by the bar, say hello to the guys tonight.
I'm sure they'd like to say hi.
This is your first game of all time.
hope you have a blast sir and it's your anniversary what anniversary is it 33 years oh wow

ever heard I where are you from sir Madisonville Madisonville well
Well, Drew, unfortunately, Drew's gone.
I'm sure he'd like to say hello.
Well, I hope you have a great night.
Billy's hosting the postgame show.
If you enjoy the game, why don't you give him a call on your way home and tell him how it went, okay?
Yes, sir.
I just wonder anything with a Kentucky game, it's going to be a great night.
Amen.
Dude.
Yep.
There you go.
I appreciate the call.
How about that?
Pretty cool.
That is awesome.
Hey, stop overpaying for sunglasses.
If you're tired of buying expensive sunglasses, how about Shady Row?

Not really.

I could be a realtor all right it's time for our draft Kings parley
Draft Kings, by the way, no, we don't want to say we're good people.
Thank you, Drafking.
They love you.
We love Draftin.
So, don't listen to this, dude.
We're going to pick our KSR parley.
Didn't win last week.
Did get three of four, though.
Two of four, actually, not three.
We got half of them.
This one for me, I'm going to go first.
You're going to pick, if we get to mine, we're in good shape because mine's late at night,
10.30 at night.
USC is a five-point favorite at home against UCLA.
The Trojans played against their cross-teacher.
Rivals.
I take USC to win.
That's my money line pick.
That'll be part one of the KSR party.
What's part two?
You're not going to like this.
I'm not.
You were the first one to lose last week, so go ahead.
These two coaches, we don't like either one of them,
but I'm taking Davo Sweeney and Clemson to beat South Carolina at Clemson.
I don't like that.
I know you.
It's three and a half.
Yeah, three and a half.
Three and a half?
Clemson's a favorite.
They're playing this week?
Are you sure?
it's next week
that might be tough to catch
why do we let him pick
honestly why do we do this
do you realize it's on the list
it didn't realize it's on the list for next week
he's rolled so far down he's in the next week
I'm in the next week
all right well let me go ahead
come back to me by the way we've won three
this year KSR priorities which would still mean
you'd win money if you bet with his all year
but we would have won two more if it weren't for him
just for the record
All right, so this is easy.
This is a lock right here.
Texas A&M going on the road to Auburn.
Texas A&M is a two and a half point favorite.
They're going to run all over Auburn.
Let me just say, I agree with you that if I had to bet I would bet Texas A&M.
Yeah.
But I could see Auburn winning that game.
I could.
Auburn's terrible.
Auburn's been playing a lot better, and Texas A&M is going to be looking ahead of the next week.
I'm fine with including that one, but I didn't pick that one because I could see Auburn
winning that game.
As a matter of fact, there's a decent chance I'm going to tease that.
Get Auburn 9 and a half.
But still, I'm all right with it being in ours, but I think that one could be close.
What do you got?
Now, I have a pick for this week, but can I pick an underdog?
Yes, you can pick an underdog if you want.
All right, so this is a rivalry game, but I've been really impressed by this team.
Army is on the road taking on Notre Dame.
That's a four.
First of all, no, you cannot pick a 14-point Army.
Oh, what?
But first of all, they're going to get killed.
And secondly, this is to win.
You cannot be picking Army to beat Notre Dame.
Do you guys want to win?
Ryan and Billy? Like, are you trying to sabotage?
If they're going to win, it's this year.
That was the worst pick I've ever seen.
At least it was this week.
No, that was the worst pick. Notre Dame is going to win by 30.
That was the worst pick.
You want to make a little side bet then?
Yes.
I'll bet you against the spread.
Notre Dame covers that 14.
Okay.
And I will bet you that they cover the 14.
Army does.
Are they...
So what do you want to bet?
You pick the amount, big shot.
Well, not an amount.
How about you let me host an actual post-game show that's not against Jackson's.
I'll let you host tonight, and so you've already won.
859-280-2-807.
You guys both look and find another one.
I got a game.
You're not picking Army over Notre Dame.
Who's next?
John is up next.
John, go ahead, John.
John.
Hey, with Lyndon of Mann becoming the Secretary of Education, what do you think of positions
that OBW could become a sex department?
That's great.
I mean, in this one, you could have anything.
Mr. Pectacular Homeland Security, whatever you want.
I do think, though, with Linda McMahon being nominated for Secretary of Education,
there's a video of Kane many years ago throwing Linda McMahon through a table,
which just so you know, to show you how weird the world's become,
that's the mayor of Knoxville throwing the Secretary of Education through a table.
That's crazy.
That is the world we live in.
That's crazy.
Being commentated by the governor of Minnesota.
That's all.
It's true.
Being commentated by the...
Jesse the Body Ventura.
Who knew when we were watching 90s wrestling?
We were seeing the future of American government.
Maybe the timeline doesn't add up if you get the point.
Yeah, I appreciate the call.
Actually, that is really funny to me that...
But actually, she's not the least qualified of the people that do it.
She can do that job.
Who's up next?
Caleb is next.
Caleb, go ahead, Caleb.
Hey, Matt, first.
time caller who are what's up I just a couple callers ago gentleman mentioned that
he was on his anniversary going to the game tonight I thought that was funny because my
parents are actually at the remote they've been married for 31 years their
anniversary this weekend and they're going to the game tonight as well oh how about
that right there so this is your 31st anniversary wow and you're in here and then
going to the game tonight listen to what of what who knew Jackson State
would be such a wonderful anniversary present.
Well, I'll tell you what, since they're your parents
and they're sitting here, say something nice about them.
I love my parents very much.
They raised a good son, and I'm their favorite.
That was really, pat himself on the back.
Wow.
How old are you, my friend?
Do you mind me asking?
I'm 29.
All right, so I'm just going to give you a little.
This is just a little advice.
I mean, you're not that young, but you're younger than me.
When you're giving compliments to your parents, don't make it a compliment about yourself,
which was that they raised a good son.
You should say they were wonderful parents who they inspired me to become a good person,
not they raised a good son.
That's really just a compliment to yourself.
What can I say?
I mean, at least they raised me as a UK fan, right?
That's really funny.
There you go.
That is a positive thing.
All right.
Well, happy anniversary.
Thank you very much, sir.
I like that.
That's something Ryan would say.
My kids have a good dad.
Do you have another pick?
Yes.
Okay.
All right.
So since the one you picked was next week, give me another.
I thought Billy would pick this one.
Western Kentucky.
Over Liberty?
Over Liberty.
One point favorite.
I'll let you keep that one.
I don't love that one.
All right.
So we got USC, Texas, A&M, and Western Kentucky.
Billy, can you pick one that is not awful?
I will.
And you've doubted them all year.
Dion Sanders and Colorado are two and a half point favorites on the road at Kansas.
That was going to be my second choice.
So I like that one.
That was going to be what I picked until.
So USC, Colorado, Texas A&M, and Western Kentucky.
That will be our.
Yeah, let's go.
Draft Kings, let's go.
They're not as excited about it as you are.
Who's up next?

You're going to see him play tonight in high school.

We'll enjoy the game.
Let us know how he is next week.
