Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and Friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer, Streeter Seidel,
help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.

That's how personal it got. Wow. Then after that game seven, Mark keep coming to. He's like,
you know I love you, dog. You know, it's all love. This was just playoffs. This was just basketball.
So listen to Point Game on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
What's up, guys?
This is Clever Taylor the 4th.
And on my podcast, The Cliverts Show, I'm bringing you conversations about all kinds of stuff.
Like being an internet famous referee.
We're in the middle of a game.
This linebacker walks up to me, he goes, hey, ref, my mom wants you to wave at her.
What?
Time out.
Quarterback on office blue with 42.
A rep.
My mama want you to wave at her.
Hey, Ms. Parker.

how to pronounce Moana because I've never seen it.
Why would I know how to pronounce that?
It's like a children's movie, right?
When would I go?
I don't have any kids.
It would be weird for me to go sit in a children's movie by myself.
We have this conversation about every children's movie.
When am I going to see a children's movie?
I haven't seen a children's movie besides Paddington 2 in a long time.
You like The Rock, though.
You could have supported The Rock.
Rock's been a lot of bad movies, though.
As much as I like the Rock, I feel like he's in something horrible every few weeks.
He's in a new holiday movie called The Red One.
Yeah, I mean, I'm sure that's terrible.
Like, when's the last time Shannon the Rock's been in a good movie?
For real.
Has he been in a good movie at all?
I mean, I don't know.
What's his best movie?
Yeah, what is the Rock's best movie?
For all the talk of The Rock as an actor, what's his best movie?
Like, The Mummy?
And that was all the way back at the very beginning of the story.
I mean, has there been a movie where you're like, man, the Rock is good?
Surely there's one.
I like even Jumangi with Kevin Hart.
Those two guys were kind of funny.
Yeah, I would, that's terrible.
Let's see. His top build films were Black Adam, Jamonji.
That was a huge flop.
That was a flop.
Jamaggy, Journey to.
No.
Baywatch.
No.
He's, I, Rock's never been in a good movie.
He's in like all the Fast and the Furious.
Okay.
Okay.
Fine.
I'm sure a couple of those were good.
I don't watch them, but I'm sure there have been a couple fast and furiouses that were decent,
but I, I, not generally.
I can't think of the name, but I had one on DVD when he first started acting.
He, like, saved a town with a 2x4.
Okay, but again, you saved the town by 2 by 4?
I mean, come on.
That doesn't sound good.
Walking tall, that's what that one was called.
I don't think he's been in good movies.
Apparently, AMC has a sign when you enter Wicked that says you can't sing.
Really?
Oh, oh.
So they're already trying to be proactive and stop it before it gets started.
That's a good idea.
All right, let's talk basketball.
Kentucky plays Western tonight.
We'll get to it in a minute.
But let's talk about a couple other things that are not just about that game.
First of all, did you watch the Maui Invitational?
Danny Hurley lost his mind yesterday.
They longly lost the game.
Danny Hurley went nuts.
Game was tied, and he got a technical that basically lost him the game, Drew.
I was watching live.
Even before he said a few things that the camera was zoomed in at the perfect spot,
see what he told the ref.
Can't say it on radio.
But he was losing it felt like most of that game.
Youcon should have won. When it went to overtime, it kind of looked like they were about to take over and win running away.
And they completely blew it down the stretch, completely with him yelling some very obscene things.
Very obscene things. He was right. That wasn't an over-the-back. That was a bad call.
But he was like, that one referee I'd never even seen before.
That sounds like something an old man would say.
He also, did he fall on the ground? Because, like, he kept saying, I think I tripped or maybe I passed out.
The camera didn't catch it. But it looks like maybe he laid on the ground.
to embarrass the ref or something, Ryan.
Maybe that's why he got the technical.
I didn't see it, but he definitely lost it there for a couple minutes.
That wouldn't have worked here.
No.
You know, now that, I mean, he's a great, great coach, but I don't know that whole thing.
He and Mitch would have had to have a restraining order over each other, probably.
I said this when we were trying to get him, and I'm not going to act like I didn't want him.
I think everybody did.
But I said on the show, he's going to come in here and bite the head off a Louisville Carder and bird
and spit it out because that man is pretty insane.
He's insane.
With that said, I do like it.
Like, if he was our coach, we would love him, but I just don't know that it would work long term.
You know what I mean?
Mitch had to at least make him say no, right?
Yeah, I mean, they flew up there.
They offered him an insane amount of money, and he turned it down, and then you just move on.
You just move on.
You had to try.
You had to try.
You had to try.
You had to try.
No.
Okay.
Can I say something that I'm embarrassed to say, Shannon?
Sure.
I'm embarrassed to say this.
Not going to lie to you.
I struggle to even admit this out loud.
Uh-oh.
I think I like the TikTok dude for the 76ers that played at Duke.
Oh, Jared McCain?
I think I like him.
I don't know why I think I like him, but I kind of think I like him.
I think the fact that he is so out of control him, Drew,
first of all, he's dropping 30 every night on people.
And then he's like, I'm too dead.
He's into college and I'm three lectures behind.
And then he just like scores 30 that night.
It really is amazing.
I saw a video.
It's just been a couple weeks where he's like filming the team on the bus.
And Kyle Lowry is a veteran.
And he's telling him to shut up.
Put that damn camera down.
It's just so different that's an NBA culture in locker rooms.
But he's going out and giving them all buckets.
I mean, I think it's still a little over top.
But I admit there's a video yesterday where he's shouting out some guy's parlay.
And he's like, by the way, I had nothing to do his parlay.
But congratulations.
He's like replying to someone that thanked him for scoring so much.
Here's the thing. Like everybody nowadays will say that they're unique, but they're not really
unique. They're just like, like that dude is in the NBA acting like that. You know his
teammates have got to be like, all right, dude, you got to slow down. But then he drops 30 on
people so they can't say anything. He still lives with his mom. Did you see that? His mom
lives with him and cooks him food. Like every stereotype of the kind of person that you wouldn't
like Shannon. Think about it. He does
TikTok dances. He sings. He went to Duke.
His mom makes him food.
Right? Like, everything about
him is so
absurd.
But then he goes out and drops 30 and he's probably going to be
rookie of the year, Shannon. I kind of
have to have respect for it. Yeah. I mean,
if you're in the NBA, you live with mom,
you're doing TikTok videos,
embarrassing yourself and your teammates, you better
go out there and back it up.
You got to go back it up.
So as long as he continues to back it up, you really can't say anything about it.
When I hear that stupid song, I'm two days into college and I'm three luxuries behind, I can't help it.
It stays in my head.
When I try to go to sleep at night, I hear it.
I saw this video of Kelly Ubre, former NBA player.
He runs into Jared McCain at the store, like at a clothing shop.
And he's like, oh, you're Jared McCain.
And Jared's like, how do you know who I am?
And he was like, I kind of like that stupid song.
And that's how I felt about him.
I kind of like that stupid song.
That's what's crazy about this whole story.
You mentioned all these things that make you think you would be annoying.
You don't like him.
You're like, but I kind of like him.
I can't help it.
I kind of like him.
Now, let me tell you another dude that I can help and that I like a lot.
And I'm going to freely admit to being completely wrong about this dude.
Give me all the Ansley, Allmanor, you guys.
can give. Yeah. Give me all the Ansley Almanor. I watched him at Pro Day and I was like,
this dude, come on, man. Well, now, not only do I think he's decent, also if you were to draw
up in a lab, what we want players to say, Ansley Almanor says it. I didn't tell you this in
advance, Shannon, but find the video of him talking after the game the other day, where he talks about
like what it means to play for Kentucky.
I want to play it.
So just find that when you get a chance.
I'll play it in a second.
But that kid, he made a statement that was something to the effect of,
none of us ever thought we'd be here.
None of us ever thought we'd have this chance.
Now we do.
This is the most special group of people I've been a part of,
and we know why we're here,
and that's to win number nine.
And I was like,
if you could write up a sentence of what UK fans would like their player to say, Drew,
wouldn't you write that sentence?
Absolutely.
He was talking about how, you know, there's no distractions,
nothing else going on, but they want to go out and win basketball games together
and achieve their ultimate goal.
It goes back to some other guys who've kind of said the same thing.
It's not just Pope putting a message out there and telling them to, you know, spit it back out.
So that's the way things seem.
They are truly living that message of playing for Kentucky on the front of their jersey.
I'm so happy that you're on the Anzley train now because he's...
Did you hear that statement?
Oh, yes.
It's a wonderful statement, you know?
He's a guy that's sacrificing minutes because he wants to be here.
He used to be a starter.
He knows he's a role player coming off the minute, but he wants to be here and be a part of it.
Here's the comment right here.
Shannon's family.
Go ahead and play.
It feels like you bring joy every time you step on the floor.
I'm just happy to really be here, to me honest.
I'm not really supposed to be here if you're really looking at my story.
So just me being here and being in a put it all in the Jersey.
I just love it.
and I'm so appreciative.
So every time I go out there, I'm just happy to be there.
Has it still hit you, like, that you're doing this
and precipitating in this interview?
I mean, yeah, like, I mean, kind of.
Like, every day I go out there,
it's just another reason to be grateful.
And, like, you know, God put me in a position
to be able to go out there and put on this first seaters jersey
and represent all these people in this day
and all the people who support us around the country.
So it just really means a lot.
And that's what I really bring joy
because I'm just appreciative of my opportunity.
I mean, how great is that?
Like don't you want to root for a kid like that?
There's no expectation.
There's no, you know, I'm this, I'm that.
There's just how lucky am I to be in this place?
How lucky am I to get to do these things?
Yeah, because, you know, guys like Travis Perry, Trent, Noah, they get it.
They grew up here.
Guys like Anzley, man, he's been looking from the outside end, all of his whole life,
and now all of a sudden he's a part of it, right in the thick of it.
So it's why it's always special for these guys.
I am so excited to watch this team play, in part because of how much I like these individual dudes, and things like that are an example of what I'm talking about.
And we're just so excited. You've seen the Ansley Almanor light.
I know. He's on the Antsley train.
No, I'm on the light. I have seen it. I've been baptized in the Almanor spirit because I, you know, and you all don't need to write me when he hits shots during games anymore.
Like, I mean, I get it. He's hit.
shots. We don't need to write every single time anymore. I think we do. Just to remind you,
hey, do you see that? He hit another three from the corner. That's his spot, man. When he gets
that three in the corner, I'm thinking it's down. He's going to put it in. Yeah. Who's up next?
Dustin. Justin, go ahead. Yeah, my two cents on stoops. You just look at his face. It does not
look like he wants to be here. He's outperformed what everybody thought he was capable of doing at
Kentucky. It's kind of like being at a job and being skipped over for promotion after promotion.
I just, you know, I don't know how much of it he has left at him. I think he can still do it.
He's put NIL money at position players versus what he's good at. It doesn't matter what
coordinator he brings in here. He's going to put a thumb on the coordinator, slow it down,
have time of possession. And unfortunately, he doesn't have the line to do that. It's all got,
go catch. Yeah, we don't have the line to do it. I mean, I think the way they spend their
money this year, Ryan, is going to be interesting.
They're probably going to have to put a lot of money from the Nile into the lines.
It's clear that they can't win with the sort of let's just have more talent.
It just doesn't work for our group.
They've got to put a lot of money on both sides of the line.
They're going to lose a lot of defensive linemen and offensive linemen.
So both sides.
Let me ask you something because somebody said this to me one time, and I'm not for sure I believe
it, but I'm going to ask you your thoughts on it.
You know, Stoops went through a divorce, turned down the job at Texas A&M, and his
mother just passed away. I mean, that's three pretty significant life events that have happened to him
within a one year, year and a half period. Do you think that weighs on him at all just as a person?
Well, the divorce is longer than that, but yes, of course, it has to. And I'm not, and like,
you can't, you cannot not think those things matter. But I will separate. The A&M thing is his
choice. Like, that's the significant life thing, but he decided to make that a thing. No, that's not, I don't
have sympathy for the A&M, I might have gone to A&M. That's his decision. The mother thing is
very sad. You know, anytime a divorce or something like that, that's going to, that's of course
going to matter, of course. But at the same time, you know, this is a job. And I would understand
if he doesn't want to continue doing it, but like this job needs somebody who can do it.
Yeah. Right? I mean, it just does. It's just, it's what it needs.
You have all those things. I think everyone has perspective on the mom thing and everyone was very sympathetic for him when it happened and you know he's still probably feeling that but a lot of this stuff has been happening for a couple of years. It's kind of been trending this direction and this year we just saw not winning an SEC game at home. The crazy stats of more turnovers than touchdowns, the frequently complaining. I think that was coming before some of the things you just mentioned.

Welcome back, Techie Sports Radio.
By the way, the UK women today are playing on Baller TV.
We don't have that, so I don't know that we'll have the game today.
I'm not buying Baller TV.
I'm just saying, like, we've bought every streaming service.
I'm drawing the line at Baller TV.
I'm not, I can't do that one.
So I said we'd have the UK women's game.
I think I'm going to have to say no, we're not behind Baller TV.
Tomorrow, Baller TV, too.
When I was reading just kind of what's going on this week, I thought, what in the heck is Baller TV
and how do we even get that?
Yeah, we talked about that you last week about Baller TV.
I'm anti-Ballor TV.
I love you, UK women's basketball team, but I'm going to skip the Baller TV game.
Because it wasn't one of their games on Baller TV last week?
We were talking about it for some reason.
We were talking about it because there were other men's games on.
But now the UK women's team is on.
By the way, the UK Western Kentucky games on ESP,
I said SEC Network. I was wrong. It is on ESPNU tonight, not on the SEC Network. I've had a lot of people say to me, Ryan, that the Mark Pope show last night was the best call-in show they've heard since the Patino era. Yeah, I listened to a little bit of it. The first caller was Ron Mercer. I thought that was really cool. Ron from Tennessee. Ron from Tennessee, he called it. It was Ron Mercer. It is. It's just kind of refreshing to have somebody talk to us and not talk down to it.
said two didn't it. What wasn't just that? That really wasn't it. It was that two
grown men cried that he would like ask the callers about their lives and that like he
like like it felt like a conversation with a human being throughout the thing is what I heard.
A woman called in and told a story of she sent him a letter a while years ago.
Maybe when he was still a player and he sent one back. She starts getting choked up on the phone
a little bit. You can hear it in her voice. There was a lot of that. And Pope, you know,
A lot of like what we're here in press conference, just all positivity when he's talking about the team and what's ahead.
I have a question for the people.
Are any of you what they consider generate Gen Z?
Are you Gen Z, sir?
No, I'm just kidding with you.
I don't think you are.
Are you Gen Z?
Those two guys right there.
How old are you?
22.
All right, so you're Gen Z.
I will focus this on you.
So they did, this blew my mind.
They did a survey with all generations.
And they asked them, how much?
money a year do you think you have to make to be financially successful?
Okay? Now let me just ask you all a question.
Now again, this varies whether you based live in Manhattan or Queens versus Middlesboro, Kentucky.
Like, so let's just, but let's just standard say, if I were to ask you, how much money do you think makes someone, I think the phrase was financially successful?
Drew, how much money do you think you have to make to be financially successful a year?
It's changed a little bit in the last few years, but I would have said over 100,000 for an individual?
100,000. Okay, what would you say financially successful?
I would probably think my generation would say like 75, 80,000 a year.
Okay, and Shannon, what would you say?
100,000.
Okay, so I kind of thought that for most people, the amount they would say is 100,000.
So here they did it by generation.
They ask 65 and older people.
They said $95,000 on average.
Then they went 45 to 65-year-olds.
They said 125,000 on average.
So we're kind of in the same ballpark.
Then they said 30 to 5, 45-year-olds, and they said $175,000.
Now we're starting to get into, okay, that's a lot.
Do you want to know what the Gen Z said was required?
to be financially successful in their minds per year.
$540,000.
Wow.
They're about to get a real wake-up call.
Goodness.
Your generation is about to get smacked right across the face.
Because I don't know what they think.
I mean, I guess there's, my guess is there are people, like,
there's a lot of young people who have made a ton of money, like on TikTok,
or by doing something that seems like it didn't take.
a lot of work, even though maybe it did.
And so they believe like, oh, all you got to do is do that.
But the idea, this was the average person.
So a lot of people probably said way over half a million.
Which means there are many people that said the fact that they would think you would need
$545,000, just not to be rich, to be financially successful.
Shannon, that blew my mind.
Yeah, that's crazy.
to be the TikTok generation that made money doing videos and they think that that's the norm.
They think that's reality.
I mean, do people realize how much money that is?
Yeah.
Like, I mean, I think we get lost looking at, you know, Elon Musk or Mark Zuckerberg and we see
the amount of money they have and it's like, oh, they've got $13 billion and you go, oh,
man, that's crazy.
But, like, I mean, there are not many jobs in the United States.
That's probably going to ask me.
What are people going to do?
Wait until you go out in the real world.
world and then you say, okay, what's this job pay? And they say $30,000. Then what are you going to do?
I mean, there's nothing you can do. Yeah. I mean, I can tell you, I can tell you just since I started employing people, which is like 0-8-09.
The amount of money that people expect when they start is insane to me. Yeah. Like, especially ones like right out of college, I'm like, no.
Like, what?
So, I mean, I, you know, I just couldn't believe it.
It reminds me of the videos that went viral a few years ago, TikTok videos of people just out of college were showing what they do at work.
And it's like, well, we leave from 8 to 10 and go get Starbucks.
Then we come back an online shop.
And then we go out for happy hour drinks.
And it was like, this is our daily work week.
I remember thinking that you spent more money than you probably made in that single day.
Somebody asked me once, what do they think?
what am I the most what's my most conservative political take all right I have a couple that would
surprise people but without question the thing I am the most conservative on and the thing that like is
the one thing I hear like Donald Trump or Elon must say and I'm like you are right about that
brother preach is the get off your butt and go to work and don't you can't work from home
believer that the work from home thing is, you know, we had this argument a few weeks ago
when I said it, but I'm a big believer. You're never going to convince me that, like,
this society is more productive with people working from home. You're just never going to
convince me of that. And they want to make a half a million dollars a year working from home.
Yeah. That is, you know, that's the thing I'll be the old guy dying on the hill on
is the working from home. Who's next? Greg. Greg, go ahead, Greg. Out of a minute.
Hey, guys.
How are y'all doing?
Doing good.
Hello?
Yes.
I agree.
A couple things.
First, did you see where Max Brown, the North Carolina football coach just got fired?
Yeah, Mac Brown just got fired.
He had said he was going to come back, so they had to give him an undignified way out because he was forcing their hand on it, unfortunately.
And I was just kind of wondering who you all thought were on the hot seats also.
And one other thing, you know, when you talk about milk, there are food libel laws and
certain states.
I don't know what that means.
Oprah, when she took food liable,
meaning if you put down milk or
that's not a thing.
They sued her, but it got
dismissed. I mean, you,
you can't sue on behalf of milk.
Oh, I know. It did.
You could sue on behalf of milk growers
if I said something about milk growers,
but I didn't say that. I just said milk stinks.
Go ahead and sue me, milk.
T.J. Smith, personal injury attorney,
Call T.J. He'll make them pay.
Now, more of Kentucky Sports Radio presented by Stockton Mortgage.
Here's Matt Jones.
Welcome back, Kentucky Sports Radio.
Now, you know we talked yesterday about they stole all that money from Macy's.
Oh, yes.
All right, here's another really good one.
A couple stole, just one couple stole a million dollars from Lulu Lemon worth of merchandise.
Would you like to know how they did it?
Kind of an ingenious plan. I'm not going to lie to you.
they got one person who worked there and then two friends okay all right the one friend would come in
to lulu lemon and would buy something right they would buy just just something little and then they'd go
put it in a bag and go into dressing okay then the person that worked there would take would take
one of the little things that beeps off the buzzer
and after they had taken it off when they bought it
they would go in the dressing room and they'd put it back on
the little one okay
while that was happening there was another person
in another dressing room just putting a bunch of merchandise
in a bag okay
put thousands and thousands
and thousands of dollars of merchandise into a bag
now accomplice one would walk out the door
her thing would set off the alarm
because they had just put it back on.
She would go, oh, no, no, I didn't.
I bought this.
The security guard would come over there.
They would look.
The alarm would be going off and they'd be like, oh, you have a receipt for this.
This is on here.
The person working there must have forgotten to take it off.
While this hubbub was going on,
the person with a lot of material would just walk out.
the alarm would still be going off, so it would go off again,
but they wouldn't be able to tell the difference.
They would think it was from the original person's thing.
And so they would walk out with thousands upon thousands of dollars of merchandise,
but the security guard wouldn't even look because the security guard would be thinking,
oh, it was still this person that set off the alarm.
And they did it at like seven or eight different stores and ended up stealing over a million dollars.
A lot of planning the end of that,
but it sounds like it's pretty kind of ingenious.
I mean, they did get caught eventually,
but they went out over the course of many months
with a million dollars, all in the state of Minnesota.
They would go to every Lulu Lemon store in Minnesota and do it,
and then they finally got caught.
Got too greedy.
You could have just had you a few pair of leggings in a hoodie.
Yep.
No one would ever known, but it got way too high,
and now you're going to jail.
But, I mean, for a while, Shannon,
I feel like that was a pretty good scam.
They actually were working.
Classic case of going to the well one too many times, right?
I mean, you can get away with it.
Seven times were good.
You get a little too greedy and then you get busted.
They got caught the eighth time.
That's called with their $100 pair of yoga pants that's way overpriced in that store.
Yeah, but I like the, I think it's an interesting idea.
The alarm's already going off.
Now's the time to walk out because they're not going to think it's,
they're going to think it was them that set it off.
Smart move.
I mean, if you only apply that work that went into it.
To an actual job of some sort?
All right.
The other thing I wanted to play you is, Drew, you know who John.
Fanta is. Of course. Love John Fanta.
John Fanta has hosted this show before.
Yes, he has. He does college basketball.
He has hosted this show, hosted it once this summer while I was gone.
He is a major college basketball freak.
But he's also one of these people that's so dorky and loves college basketball so much,
you almost can't help but like him.
He did a Twitter space about basketball.
That should tell you the dorkiness right there.
He did a Twitter space about basketball.
a guy comes on and gets on him for being too pro Xavier, Shannon, and not pro Cincinnati.
Yeah.
Okay.
None of us are pro Cincinnati after the stuff we talked about the other day.
And he absolutely freaks out.
And I love when people freak out.
So this is about a minute-long clip.
I'm sorry those of you in the restaurant will be able to hear it.
But I want you to hear John Fanta freaking out on a Cincinnati fan.
Go ahead.
Adam, go.
Hey, John, thanks.
Just following up on the cross-down shootout,
how bad did it hurt to finally rank Cincinnati ahead of your buddy, Sean Miller, this week?
Didn't hurt me one bit, Adam.
I do my job.
Cincinnati's better than Xavier right now.
You've had Xavier ranked ahead of him all season until this week.
I figured it had to hurt.
I know your buddy's with Sean.
I mean, just, you know.
I got a job to do, Adam.
So, Adam, you call me up.
here and you want to tell me it must hurt me to rank somebody against over somebody else
I've seen the media bias in Xavier's favor for the last several years and now they've been a better
program they've hit Cincinnati's butt they've been a better program by a wide margin frankly
Cincinnati we've been waiting for this version of Cincinnati Cincinnati's been been
they're using the past couple years no no no no no no you're using the past couple years
That's your argument?
Xavier's been better than Cincinnati in every facet.
There's a media bias.
I go off score.
The scores of the game were Xavier over Cincinnati.
I want to add, tell me about how I feel about stuff.
I don't lose sleepover where I rank a team.
I lose sleep over whether I took the trash out on time,
whether I picked up the right groceries for my wife,
if I'm taking care of her right now, and the Cleveland Browns.
I didn't lose any sleepover, the matter.
But I might lose sleep because of you.
Happy Thanksgiving.
Happy Thanksgiving, Johnny.
Go Browns.
No, you don't keep to salvage the call.
There you go.
How about that?
It's like two nerds arguing over Star Wars movies.
I absolutely love that.
He just starts to see.
You can see him slowly getting worked up.
And then all of a sudden, he's like, I don't sleep about groceries.
Like, he just, I loved it.
It makes me like John Fancy, even more.
He kind of gets worked up about things.
Not quite to that level, but you kind of picture a dork on the other end of that.
Yep.
He gets fired.
And also, like he said, you called me.
He's on Twitter.
He acted like he got a call on a show.
Shannon, I love that kind of frustration.
I like getting that anger.
It was an absolute nerd fight.
That was a nerd fight at its best right there.
So salute to John Fanta.
Who's next?
George.
George.
Go ahead, George.
Who are?
What's up?
My wife has taken me to the game.
for my birthday, it's first time
y'all and us.
Where's the best place to park at?
Is it easy to find parking there?
Okay, so no, it's not easy to find parking.
But let me ask you, let me ask you.
So you're going tonight, right?
Yeah.
What time is the game?
What time are you getting here?
I'm probably about six, five, thirty-six.
Six is right before the game.
Six is probably the worst time
if you want to find parking 30 minutes before the game.
That's going to be the worst.
5.30 is not going to be a lot better because now it's close to the end of work.
It's going to be hard.
So there are, to me, three ways to park at Rupperea.
One way, if you like to walk, the easiest way would actually be to park right here at KS Bar,
eat and walk to the game.
Now it's like a mile walk.
You've got to be okay with that, but it's free, and it gives you time and you don't have to worry about traffic.
But let's assume you don't want to do that or you can't walk a mile.
Then the next thing to do is to probably park on either Main Street or with a
vine but park a half mile away just in one of those garages down there now the
problem with that is those garages get get crowded getting out and so it'll
take you a while to get out the other way is to go two hours early and find
street parking kind of around the arena there are some side streets up
there that if you get there a couple hours before you might be
able to find free parking. Not easy, but usually something will show itself up. The worst
scenario is to park across the street at Rupp, especially for a weekday game because you've got
people parked there for work, and then you also have stuff and it's tough getting in, it's
tough getting out. It's $27 this year as well. So the short answer is there's no easy
way to do it. What I recommend to people is if you're not familiar with Lexington,
Get here a couple hours early and find a place.
If you're not that, if you're an hour early,
I think the easiest is honestly our parking lot here,
but you have to understand that you're going to walk.
But when you consider how long you're going to be sitting in traffic going back and forth,
it's probably about the same amount of time.
The question is, do you want to walk or not?
So those are the, that to me are the options.
Yeah, I looked up K as far.
It's probably about a 30-minute walk, I think, 1.2 miles.
Yeah, probably what I'll just say.
It's a 30-minute walk.
I appreciate the call.
And sometimes it's quicker to park and drive,
but you could get stuck in a garage
and be in there more than 30 minutes, Drew,
trying to get out of it.
Or if you just happen to be by here and I'm going,
you can hop in.
I've taken random people I don't know before.
Have you really?
Yeah, a couple times.
You just dropped random people off?
I did it just a week ago.
People waiting outside for an Uber.
Said you going to row up, hop in.
Hey, don't underestimate rush hour traffic in downtown Lexington either.
It's awful.
and that's going to happen about 5 to 530.
That game starts an hour later.
I think it's going to be a mess downtown.
It will be a mess.
The game being at 630 is only going to make the traffic worse, which is unfortunate.
Let's do Draft Kings.
You go to Draft Kings promo code KSR, bet five, get $150 if you win your $5 bet.
We also will have the 100% profit boost here at the game today.
Go to Draft Kings of Sports app.
They got the NBA, ton of college basketball.
tonight's one of the biggest college basketball nights of the year you got you got the
semifinals the Maui invitational I think you get North Carolina versus Auburn tonight
Houston plays Alabama tonight and then Kansas plays Duke tonight so some huge college
basketball games let's quickly make some predictions Kansas and Duke in Vegas
Duke's a two and a half point favorite even though Kansas is number one and Duke is number
11. Kind of a shocking line. Do you like Kansas or Duke?
I would bet on Kansas, and I may probably still bet on Kansas tonight.
For just doing spread, they'll cover that. I think it's going to be a close game.
I got Duke. I think Duke wins and covers that two and a half. Shocked at that line,
though. Shannon, what do you have? Give me Duke on this one.
You're going to take Duke. Houston is playing Alabama in the Players' Era Festival
Impact Tournament. Again, kind of a surprising line to me. Houston by four and a half.
See, I take Alabama to cover that one.
Covering. Houston wins, but that's too many points.
I'm going to take Alabama. What about you, Shannon?
I think Alabama is a little overrated. I don't think they're as good as maybe what we thought.
I'm going to go Houston. Houston to cover it. All right, then let's do our game. Kentucky and Western.
Kentucky is a 22 and a half point favorite against the hilltoppers tonight. What do you got?
You know, I saw the hilltoppers play Jackson State in my homework assignment.
They struggle a little bit, so I would think Kentucky would win and cover.
I'm torn with this one. We eventually have to come down just to,
a little bit. I'm not saying a close game, but we can't just be blowing these spreads out.
So just to be different, I'll say we don't cover by half a point.
I'm going to, I'm picking Western to cover. I think we win by 17 or 18, but I think this is
going to be a game that's not quite the just complete annihilation we've had in these others.
So I'm going to say Kentucky by 17 or 18, which would make Western cover.
What about you shared?
Vegas is going to keep giving these gifts we've had.
Western plays a very similar style to Kentucky. They're going to shoot a lot of threes because of
I think it's a closer game than 22 and a half.
I'm going to go, Kentucky wins, Western covers.
That's three people picking Western.
Kentucky has, by the way, covered and gunned the over on points every game this year.
Covered and the over.
That's five straight games.
At some point, Vegas is going to adjust because they're getting absolutely rocked by Kentucky
betters right now.
I've kind of been told through the grapevine,
more people have placed wagers on Kentucky this year than any other college basketball.
team on draft kings. Now, I mean, some of that is because of draft kings and us and all that,
but still, at some point, they've got to fix those lines to help them.
Well, last Friday night, men and some friends were like, they still are coming off
old stats or something because there's no reason it should be 20 and change against Jackson State.
I agree. It's still been great for us. We'll take a break. Come back. Final segment. This is KSR.

$550,000 a year even if you don't Clayton and Krum C-R-U-M-E dot com.
Drew you said something to me during the break that I thought to myself is a perfect example
of why Mark Pope is having success. Go ahead. Well they tweeted out a video of the team
practicing doing their you know game day routine in Rupp and for years not just with
Cal I think going back even further we would always say why do they not go to Rupp
more often and he seems to be doing that a lot to make sure they get shots up before a game.
They're doing game. They're doing game. They're doing game day practice at Rupp. So we used to do
a game day walk through occasionally at Rupp, but now they're doing, we would do the practice
at the craft center and then walk through at Rupp. Now they're doing the entire game day practice
at Rupp. I've been told they've done five or six practices during the year at Rupp.
We used to always say, why don't we ever practice at Rupp? Because it always looks like we shoot poorly.
at Robb. Now they're practicing
it rub. We've always just scratched her head and wondered
why in the world do they not do it? I think it was just
laziness. They didn't want to go back and forth
two times in one day. Now
Pope sees the value of taking his team out there
doing the practice actually where you're going to play
the game. It's a small thing
but it's a thing that I actually think
makes a lot of sense. You know
at the Maui Invitational
yesterday there were four games
three of which were amazing. I don't know
I mean we talked about the Yukon game.
Auburn Iowa State was a battle.
Came down, tip in at the buzzer.
Auburn won, great game.
Then we were all asleep last night, but North Carolina and Dayton had an amazing game.
North Carolina was down 16 in the second half, came back and won at the buzzer.
There were, of the games yesterday, I think I saw seven of the eight teams scored 90 points.
And Jay Billis was asked, why was there so many points?
And he said in Maui, because it's like in a high school gym, everybody shoots well because of the, you know, you don't get the depth thing we talk about.
We've talked many times about Rupp.
The way Rupp is situated makes it, I think, really hard for teams that aren't used to it always to shoot.
Kentucky has struggled.
Kentucky's gym, our practice facility, is very similar to Maui.
It's small.
It's enclosed.
I think getting them into Rupp to get used to that is really important.
Now, I remember last season or two seasons ago, even Cal, they hit a straw where they weren't
playing well.
He changed it where they did it for a couple games, but I think he went back.
But I remember when he changed it to going over there, everyone was kind of like, well,
why don't we just always doing this?
It seems like it would give you an advantage with the sight lines and the experience
of shooting there all the time.
I feel like I remember right, the one time Cal did it.
They played and shot really, really well that night.
Yeah, I think they even like stayed at the hotel over there, too.
I think the background, if you've ever shot a ball at Rupp,
if you've ever gotten on the floor and shot, it is, it is different than shooting at your local gym.
It's just the sight lines, and that's why these teams shoot so poorly in the final four at the domes
because the sight lines are awful.
You can't, it just feels like they're floating out in the wilderness.
Who's up next?
Sparky.
Sparky.
Sparky. Go ahead, Sparky.
You know, Matt, it makes a lot of sense.
You're talking about kind of the small things that add up and make a difference.
I don't earn $540,000, so I got to get by with small stuff like sales or a discount here and there.
If you had a coupon, would you take a month of free Baller TV?
Yeah, if you gave me a free month.
Happy Thanksgiving, guys.
If you gave me a free month of Baller TV.
Sure.
I'm not going to pay for it.
Yeah, if you give me a free month, somebody gives me a free month of Baller TV, we'll put the women's game on today and tomorrow.
Was that an offer?
I think he was offering a coupon to you to get it for free.
Yeah.
Well, don't tease me with Baller TV coupons if you don't have them.
I mean, that's kind of rude.
We could, I mean, I looked it up.
They have, like, youth sports on there?
Yeah, youth sports, Baller TV?
Come on.
Try it out for free.
Who's up next?
Let's go to Dan.
Dan, go ahead.
Yeah, Matt.
My, two things.
First of all, I'm an IU fan.
My brother is a UK fan.
So I listen to you guys just to give me fodder for when he and I joined.
And by the way, beat Louisville today, I.U.
Fan, you all play here in just a few minutes.
So beat them.
I know.
I know.
So here's what I want to say.
First of all, tip of the cap, the UK for Mark Pope, what a great hire.
I mean, somebody that's going to change the whole program's direction and change the atmosphere of the locker room.
I mean, like I said, tip of the cap.
You guys did great on that one.
And secondly, Matt, I think you're selling yourself short.
You are a social influencer.
So many of us rely on you for so many subject, the information on subject.
So I think you need to take a niece or a nephew to some kids' movies so you can give us some feedback on that.
Yeah, it's not going to happen.
I don't have any nieces or nephews.
Barrow a neighborhood.
Yeah, I don't want to borrow any neighborhood kids to go to Moana 2.
I don't think that's good for anybody involved.
I appreciate the call.
Those of you that have kids, you can tell me if Moana 2, I just think you shouldn't be singing just because the Rock says you should during the thing.
Let's go on our road trip.
We'll take Mario.
He's like our kid.
You want us to all go to Moana 2 in Laramie, Wyoming?
All right, well, maybe so.
Thank you all very much.
Queens is in the house.
We'll see you later.
