One thing I forgot, Shannon, I meant to mention about the president's thing.
Also, you know, they sat next to each other.
Look like Obama and Trump were like big buddies.
I know, right?
And they had a British newspaper, the Guardian.
They hired a lip reader to try to see what each other was saying to each other.
Would they pick up?
Well, one time, they had two different interactions.
On one interaction, they couldn't really pick it up.
They said that they weren't fake.
But on the other one, apparently Trump said to Obama something like,
there's something I need to talk to you about.
I need to talk to you about it immediately.
Let's talk tomorrow.
And that was that.
And Obama shakes his head, yes.
I just want to know what Trump said.
So I wonder what it was.
Immediately.
We have to talk tomorrow.
Mark. Who knows? I would like to know what Trump said because at one point Obama starts laughing.
He did. He did. He's got jokes, huh?
Well, I mean, he, listen. He's a funny guy. He's charismatic. Leave aside every other thought I have about him.
He's objectively funny in sort of a bizarre way. So I'm sure you could, I'm sure you could laugh.
All right. So one of things I like to do, I like to keep you all up to date. You know, the Kentucky legislature is starting.
This happens every two years. You may forget this. We do this every two years. I tell you the bills.
that they're bringing up and you tell me whether or not you're for.
All right.
Okay.
We can sell it right now.
So they're going to continue over the next three weeks to promote bills.
So I give you the bill.
There's a guy.
His name is Rudy.
Last name Rudy.
It's like Stephen maybe, Stephen Rudy from out in the western part of the state.
He wants to change the law to where now, instead of getting permits at 16 for driver's license,
you get them at 15.
and instead of getting your full license at 17, you would get it at 16.
So basically, you would get a permit a year earlier, and you would get your full license a year earlier.
When I was a kid, you got it at 16, but now at 17.
So it would take it back to 16 and then allow the permit to go to 15.
Do you like it or not?
Shannon, go first.
Horrible idea.
First of all, there are enough bad drivers on the road as it is.
We need to take drivers off the road, not add more on.
I am saying absolutely not.
I'm striking it down.
So you're a no to Stephen Rudy's bill.
Hard no.
All right.
Ryan?
As a dad who just went through this three times with his three sons,
there is absolutely no way I'd be in favor of this bill.
I like the fact you have to wait to your 17 to get your full license now.
Because trust me, they need that extra year to become a better driver.
Yes.
Okay.
No, you mean?
No.
I was leading yes.
He's a yes.
I would love it if Ryan gave a passionate speech on the House floor
and then went and voted the exact opposite way
because he didn't understand which one.
All right, go ahead.
I was leaning yes, but Ryan knows what a 15-year-old's like.
I don't.
Are we not ready to put them out there on the road?
But can I give you the case?
I'm on your side.
I kind of think no.
But I'll give you the case that I think they may.
Okay.
You're thinking of it in the context of Lexington and Louisville.
I think the context would also be out in the rural parts of the state where maybe for, you know, various farm reasons or stuff, it would be helpful to have a kid who would be able to drive and there's not as much traffic out there.
You have a lot more open road.
And so, like, you're thinking of it in the context of Lexington and Louisville, but maybe the context for him, especially since it's from the western part of the state, is the more rural area.
Think about Otwell.
Could they drive around Otwell?
Yeah, I was driving at 14.
to go mow the church grass from my house.
Okay, so then why are you against it if you did it?
Because my kids are not ready.
I saw them firsthand.
But were you ready at 14?
No.
Will you be driving a car or a tractor?
A little car.
Okay.
All right.
So now I didn't let you vote.
Go ahead.
I'm still saying yes.
Let the kids drive around.
Whatever.
They're vaping and TikTok it and there's no rules.
Well, maybe that's not a reason to have them drive around if they're vaping and TikTok.
I was on New Circle the other day and a car almost ran me off
road they came all the way across and I pull up on him to get a look and I swear this
person was nine years old I just thought I guess this is the world we live in a
booster so you're a yes you two or no let's do a survey here how many of you would be yes
how many of you would be no everybody else so the nose are about 80 to 85
percent here at the thing so so there you go that's my that's our poll you know drew
hit on something you know every kid that age they spend 24 hours a day on their
phone. I mean, they sleep with their phone.
But you think that's going to change a year later?
So I think you want to keep that off the roads as much as possible.
All right. Well, speaking of phones, let's go to the second one.
You know, if by the Supreme Court today, I think as we speak right now is hearing the
arguments in the TikTok case, all right?
The TikTok case, basically if the Supreme Court doesn't do anything, TikTok is banned
in America in like eight days.
basically they the congress the republican congress passed a bill which Biden signed or no I don't remember
for Trump or by it I think Biden signed it but Trump was for it too they at the time they were
all for it that basically said if China didn't if the Chinese company did not sell TikTok they'd be
banned in America that law is about to go into place TikTok is sued and said hey we have a
first amendment right to to you know be off there the government says
National security means this company will just give all this information to the Chinese government.
So for national security, we can't let that happen.
I'm not asking what you, because it's a tough legal argument, actually.
It's actually very close.
But in your mind, what do you think about TikTok may go away?
The Chinese company says we're not selling.
So they're like, if you take us off the market, oh well, in eight days we're gone.
I think we should keep TikTok.
I think that China already has all of our information.
The minute we get on our phones to do anything to begin with, whether it's
Facebook, Twitter.
I mean, they can literally now, in America, let me just give the argument.
Before you go throwing your hands up in there, let me just give you the argument, because I think it's a lot harder than people realize.
If you give your information to Apple, there are laws that keep Apple from giving all your information to the government.
In China, there are laws that require the company to give the information.
So, yes, you're right, but like, do you want China to have your Social Security number?
Do you want it to have your credit card number?
Do you want it to have your banking information?
They've already got it.
Well, I don't know if that's true.
I mean, they may now, because of TikTok, also location data, where you are at any given moment,
where the population centers are.
I mean, just they use this example about when government phones had TikTok.
There are like, if government phones went to a building and all these people that the Chinese knew were,
they might find where you have weapons, like, stored all kinds.
I mean, there's a lot at stake there.
I get it.
I'm not saying they should ban it, but I think it's close.
I would vote to ban it, but my fear would be,
and eight days later, there'd be a Rick Rock,
or there'd be something, there'd be another replacement,
something else that would do it.
A Rick Rock?
Mick Mock.
Mick Mock.
There'd be something to replace the TikTok with the Rick Rock.
Well, there will be, but it'll be American,
and then our concerns won't be a problem.
You sat 90 years old.
pick lock there'd be a Rick rock and then there no Drew's right I think the hope Drew
it would just be Instagram it'd be reals we already have it everything would just move to there
and then we can control that a little bit but I also want you to think about the people
there are many many people in businesses that have based their entire existence on having TikTok
yep Mario for instance big reason why we hired Mario was so we would have a presence on
TikTok don't worry we won't get rid of you if it goes away but I mean it is a major
force in the economy, and I don't think people process that in eight days, it could just be gone.
Just like that.
I was going to vote that it should be gone.
I didn't get to vote.
Yeah.
Well, I didn't ask going to vote.
But I thought they wanted to.
But I do wonder, like, what happens if it's just gone and eight days?
The younger generation's head will explode.
They're all vote to China.
Do you think the younger generation realizes this is about to happen?
No.
No clue whatsoever.
I mean, you think maybe there would be TikTok videos about.
There are.
There are. There's people being very upset. So you would, you would get rid of it.
Yes. I already think it's silly. We're giving all this to China. I think we talked about this a few weeks ago.
We're having dog faces with these filters and they're just getting our facial recognition.
You said locations. They have everything we need and we're just dancing and giving it to them at every turn.
There would have been a time in America 10 years ago. This would have been a no-brainer. This would have been a no-brain. They'd have been like, of course you can't have that.
Of course we're going to ban it. Any company that is,
giving our citizens information to our, to a foreign power, you're out.
But the thing is, everybody kind of likes TikTok.
And so, and so, and they're worried that people are going to get mad if they ban it.
So. But the thing with that, though, they're, like Ryan said, it'll probably be Instagram,
but everyone will just, one will pop up and it will be huge and within a year.
Yeah.
We'll just stop saying TikToks.
They'll be reals.
They kind of already are.
There's a lot of people that the only reason we know they exist.
is TikTok and then eight days could be going.
Now they're going to have to go outside.
Who's up next?
Dave.
Dave, what's up, Dave?
Good morning, fellas.
How are y'all doing?
Good morning.
Good, good here in Louisville, Kentucky, watching it snow.
Yeah, so Shannon's wondering because he has to go home.
Is it snowing right now?
It's snowing, not real bad, but it's coming in a pretty good cliff right now.
Oh, man, Shannon, be careful.
All right, so go ahead, sir.
Maybe take it off soon.
Definitely be careful.
So I've got two things to say here.
First off, I'm worried about this Mississippi State game this weekend
because they're going to be really beating on us and hold us
and pushing us and punishing us.
You're going to be a telltale game.
You have a reason to be worried.
I think all those things are going to happen.
Correct.
And one more thing before I hang up, I'm making sausage gravy here.
That's a good thing.
Well, I'm glad.
Drew.
Yeah, Matt, I tried to get your O-A thing going in Rupp Arena for the Friday game.
Excuse me.
Our fans have been great this year, but they're not doing the O-WA-O-A, and it's a sad thing.
One of these days we're going to regret it.
We're going to look back and go, we had a great chance to have a chance, and we didn't do it.
Well, Drew heard me, because I was standing right there by Press Row when he pointed it right at me when I did it.
I think you remember.
You're right.
There are about 15 people trying their best.
So whoever those 15 in Rupp Arena that are trying every game,
they're giving their best effort.
It's just not catching on.
All right, I got something for you here, Ryan, real quick.
This is the club blue.
This is the blue bourbon and this is the white.
All right.
I want to get a sense since you did this before.
No, no, don't pick that up.
I'm giving you one as we go.
Okay.
This is the blue.
You did a tasting where you described what you were tasting.
Let's try that now.
All right.
Describe to people the blue bourbon.
What's the scent?
What is the scent?
Put your microphone down so people can hear you.
There's definitely like there's a fruit there.
What kind of fruit?
I don't know.
A lot of fruits.
It's like maybe an orange?
Banana orange.
I'm going to say orange.
I now sip it with your, this is the blue.
You drink like an old person.
Conchew it a little bit.
Get those flavors out.
Two hands.
Yeah.
What do you got?
There's cinnamon.
I'm orange and cinnamon.
Is there orange or cinnamon?
That sort of.
Okay.
All right.
That's good.
All right.
Now try the white one.
All right.
This is there.
Excuse me,
this,
yeah,
this is the white one.
I need a little water.
I got to,
where's my palate.
All right.
We're on the radio.
You can't just sit there in silence.
You got to go.
If you want me tell you what it smells.
All right.
We're going to take a break.

Life throws hurdles big and small.
The question is, how do you conquer them?
On Hurtle with Emily Abadi, we sit down with the most inspiring women in sports and wellness,
professional athletes, coaches, and Olympic champions to talk about the challenges that shaped them
and the mindset that keeps them going.
From the WNBA standout, Kate Martin and rising hockey star Layla Edwards.
If a boy can do it, I don't see why a girl can't.
Like, I've never understood that.
Like, it didn't make sense in my brain.
It's hard to be in spaces that no one looks like you, but don't ever feel like you don't feel on.
Don't let that be the reason you don't do it.
An Olympic champs Gabby Thomas and Katie Ladecki.

that means the world to me.
And that's what motivates me to win more gold medals.

Like, I can do anything.
I can do anything.
Because resilience isn't just about winning.
It's about showing up, even when it's hard.

Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal but encouraged.
It's the enhanced games.
Some call it grotesque.
Others say it's unleashing human potential.
Either way, the podcast's Superhuman documented it all,
embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full year.
Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds.
I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth.

Welcome back.
It is Kentucky Sports Radio here, Club Blue NIL, Bespoken Spirits in Grey Line Station.
That's a great song you played there, John.
I really like that song.
Shannon, don't you?
Daddy let me drive.
Alan Jackson's a song.
That's a good one.
That's right.
That's a great song.
And it talks about let kids driving, which you two are against, and Drew's four.
So.
You should have to be 25.
13.
Let me ask you think there should be an age limit, like an age you can't drive anymore?
I think, well, I'm not going to say, no, no, I don't.
But I think you should have to go back and maybe take the driver's test again.
What age?
What age?
Okay, so I can go with that.
What age do you think you, what age?
Now listen, we have a lot of older listeners.
Shannon, you are on the spot.
What age are you going to look at the great senior citizens, the greatest generation our country is produced?
What age are you going to look at them and say you need to go take your driver's test again?
How about every 10 years?
You mean everyone?
Every 10 years.
I don't believe that.
That would be, first of all, our government would never be able to do that.
We're not efficient enough.
I can barely renew my license.
You know how long that would take if everybody had to take their test every 10 years?
All right.
You want me to put an age?
I need an age.
70.
So 70 is the age.
All right, Ryan, would you have an age?
My mom, by the way, is 70, just so you know.
She's not going to like that.
She'd pass it easily.
Okay.
I would think at 80, you should take it every two years.
Two years.
Every year.
Yeah.
I mean, a lot of happens.
Again, we don't have that kind of resources.
But you would, but you say the first time 80.
Yeah.
What about you?
Something around 80.
I actually told a car, the person that hit me was very old, and it was a bad accident,
and she did not need to be driving.
So I've lived this a little bit.
Yeah.
Sorry.
I would say I'm probably in the middle of you, too.
I think maybe 70.
75, 77, something like that.
8.59. But I think having
an old, I don't think you want to ban
older people from driving, but they probably, there's
a time you do need to take a test again.
I don't know what that time is. And now they've added
what the vision test is a part of every driver's
true. I like that, actually.
859-28027.
One person writes, Matt, I'm riding my car with my
daughter. She heard you talk about TikTok.
She did not know this was happening, and
now you've made her sad. Thanks a lot.
I guarantee you the younger generation
does not realize this is about to happen.
Yeah, I mean, and I assumed at some point they would just sell it to an American car.
I was like, this is business, they're just going to sell it.
But the Chinese company said, we are not selling it because it's big in the rest of the world.
And they're like, well, fine, we just won't have America.
Well, then it's going away then, right?
No, it just would go away in America.
It's still be in the rest of it.
That's what I mean for America, though.
If they're just hell bent on, no, we're not going to sell it, then.
Unless the Supreme Court today flips it.
I will see.
I mean, I don't know if they will or not.
Who's next?
Gary.
Gary, go ahead, Gary.
Hey, Matt.
What's going on?
I've got a proposal getting to speak to the most influential voice in Kentucky sports in the state of Kentucky is the one I need to propose.
Okay.
And my proposal is that.
They introduced the three-point line to help the boys that could shoot.
I want to introduce something that would help the playmaker,
and that would give a half an assist to a man who makes a pass,
and the fellow goes up to shoot the ball and he gets fouled.
The young man doesn't get the assist,
but the man gets to go a free-throw line and shoot two free-throws.
Why not give a half an assist?
I could be wrong about this,
Probably am.
But if they make a free throw, don't they get an assist or no?
They do not.
Okay, people are telling me they do not.
Yeah, I would think you, I mean, I don't know that that, I don't think anybody's thinking,
I'm not going to pass this ball because he's going to get fouled and then I won't get the assist.
I don't think people think like that.
But yeah, I mean, you could make that argument.
There are people who have said, and I appreciate the call, you should have the hockey assist.
Yeah.
Where you get the pass that leads to the past.
Sometimes there are people who've made a claim that should be.
be an assist. But the shot didn't go in, so no, you don't get an assist.
On the foul? Yeah. I mean, to me, there's an argument that if they make the two foul shots,
Ryan, I'm giving the assist to the rough. He's the one that gave the player the ball.
Am I crazy? Is that, did that used to be a rule? Yes. International? It might have been a rule.
So they changed the rule now. Coming from the all-time assist leader at my high school, I got an
assist if you got down low on the guy was foul, but he had to hit both free throws. Had to hit them both.
And so that's, that got changed? I don't know when it got.
changed. I think Feebo might still do that.
Feels like that should be an assist. If you get a pass, if you get a pass,
guy gets fouled and he makes both free throws. To me, that should be an assist.
But who's up stoops the other night, or not stoop the other night was talking about
we brought up assist numbers were down. He's like, we don't look at assist numbers.
We look at the pass that was made. We don't care if the shot went in.
It was how good of a shot did you set up, whether they were fouled or made it or not.
Because it's all about setting up the best shot.
Yeah, that actually makes sense to me too. Who's up next?
Jordan.
I remember a few, many years ago, Patino was the first one to count deflections.
He was like, you know, deflections are a step to a steel, and even if we don't happen to get the ball, I want to encourage deflections.
And now every coach does it, but Rick is the first person I remember doing that.
Go ahead.
Hey, Matt.
I've been teaching for about five years now, and just every student, that is their primary social media app, and away it's just how they interact.
with each other. So it's going to, and none of them really know unless they've been following.
So that'll be interesting to see because Instagram or Facebook has never been taken from the
generation that's used it. It is very hard just in life to take. It's very hard to take things
from people that they're used to. Like once somebody gets used to it, it is really, really hard
to take. It's a lot easier to ban before it starts. But once somebody, Shannon, has something.
That's right. It's very hard to take.
it from them but go ahead uh it'll probably be there for me in my habit but with um what do you want to
see in the mississippi state game coming up that really helps you feel uh about uh jackson going
forward and just i want to see him i want to see him oh jackson specifically i appreciate the call
i want to see him have a big game against a good team in a in a road environment i mean he had that
game at gonzaga i'm kind of holding on to that to say you know he's
won us that game at Gonzaga in a lot of ways.
But I just, I still feel like for this team to be final four level good, he's got to be
really good.
He's got to be a dude who you can count on to make big shots.
And I need to see him do it in one of these road SEC environments.
And we know it's in him.
I actually watched BYU last night.
I went back a year and dug up their game at Kansas where they won because I was looking for
a Pope technical.
game Robbins and hits a big three and he's flexing and there's just so much emotion and I don't know
if it's a personality trait but I feel like in a lot of these games the moment somebody gives him a
forearm or gets up in him he he shies away a little bit I want to see a little more of what I saw
on tape in Lawrence where he was the one bringing the fire to the game I feel like he's one of
these guys right that like his first two shots decide his game if he makes them he's good and if he
miss I mean you go watch his first three threes against Georgia he had three threes in the first
six minutes. First one, in and out. Second one, short, third one, air ball. It's like they got worse
each one, and that to me almost seems like a confidence issue. And then he kind of disappeared after
that. So he's too good to disappear, especially in big games, when they need him to step up and be the
guy. He just hasn't been the guy but one time, I think, all year. Carr said it best. They all need to
get nasty. Like, he doesn't have a mean shrieking them. Including him. He needs to do that too.
out, yeah.
KSR listeners,

Wow.
That's amazing.
So if you donate $41 for Mark Pope,
that's 246 meals,
I'm going to do this today.

I'm going to do that this afternoon.
We'll take a break and be right back.
Wait a minute.
I think I'm a little early.
John, you know what?
We'll still.
Let's play some music.
We'll take a break, be right back.
This is KSR.
Welcome back.
It is Kentucky Sports Radio here live.
The Bespoken Spirits, Club Blue, on behalf of Club Blue with the bourbon release.
I hear the bourbon, we're Stephen.
Isn't it doing very well, right?
Like it's gone out, and people seem to really like it.
So I'm glad to hear that.
They have the white label and the blue label, and thanks to Bespoken Spirits.
We will be here again next week, rare back-to-back, back-to-back remote situation.
Had a couple people already check in with me, say, can you take tours of their distillery?
It's right behind us.
You know, their production lab is like right behind it.
It feels like you should be able to do that.
Yeah.
If it's right.
If it's right behind it.
It's 859-280-2287.
Good question.
Here, one person writes, Matt, if it's a Chinese company, why do they have First Amendment rights?
Well, everybody has a First Amendment right in America, but like it's different levels based on whether you're a citizen.
But generally speaking, the Supreme Court defers to the government on national security.
So if the government says I'm doing this for national security,
they usually defer to it.
We'll see if they end up doing that on this one.
I mean, just the fact that they're saying national security should make you wonder,
how much, how deep does this really go?
Because there's probably things we don't even know about what they're learning with all these videos.
Last time I heard national security is when we snuck onto the Little League baseball field.
They did say that was national security.
That didn't feel like it was national security.
Let me ask you a question because I feel like, Ryan, you're going to know the answer better than anybody.
I have probably had 10 people say to me recently,
are you excited about the new public's opening?
That's that place out there.
It's going to be off citation or whatever, right?
What is, why do people, why is that exciting?
Isn't that just Walmart?
We'll say it's a little step above Walmart.
So isn't it just like Meyer or Target?
Maybe even above those.
It's more like Kroger.
Yeah, it's a high-level Kroger.
It's a grocery store.
So it's a grocery store.
So what makes it just, what makes it, I just know like they have them all the,
down in Florida.
My parents lived in Florida for 10 years.
That's where we would always go.
So that's why you like it, Mario.
But why are people so excited about it?
Short answer, pub subs.
Pub subs.
Because of subs.
They're deli, you know, most delis, you just get some shaved meats, grocery stuff.
They have like an actual sandwich shop and they're pretty amazing.
Like my last two beach vacations, I think we walked to public.
every afternoon and got a sub sandwich oh so you eat there on vacation yeah it's just a great like
you throw in the cooler go to the beach they like think of a subway or say they have basically that
in their grocery and they're pretty awesome so i think that's well i mean a good version of
there's actually going to be three in lexington wow so it's like but people are acting like
something amazing's coming and i should i be excited no i'd rather have subway in a gas station
than a public i just want to say i'm still croaker loyal shout out
Kroger but that is you don't do a lot of grocery shopping.
That's a good point.
They do have some offerings you can't find in a lot of other places.
Okay.
Well, people are excited about it and I know it's coming close to where you live, right?
I can walk to it from my house.
Yeah.
Who's up next?
Josh.
Josh, go ahead, Josh.
Hey, Matt, first time caller.
Who are?
What's up?
I was just wanting your all's prediction on how we will finish in the SEC before tomorrow's game.
one and one right now what do you all think all right i'm i'm still sticking with 12 and 6
but if we lose tomorrow my number's going to start going down it's going to start being more
like 11 and 7 or 10 and 8 i'm going to say 12 and 6 but uh i'm i'm wavering on my 12 and 6
because i kind of was putting georgia in the uh in the win category so we're going to have to
steal one somewhere else for us to get it back shannon what about you
11 and 7 feels about right for me and that's i mean there's no shame in going 11 and 7 in this conference you do that you're still going to get a great seat 14 out of your 18 games in conference or quad one games so 11 and 7 i think would actually not that not be that bad i wanted to pick higher but when you went through the schedule that day we're like i ended up with seven losses so you're going to stay with that i'll probably stay with that all right drew i think i had six losses i had them beating georgia so i just naturally i'm going seven because they're already behind the eight ball and i just i know we i'd want them to make up a game
like you're saying, but what I've seen so far, going and stealing one on the road,
seems like a big ass.
Yeah, just so people, I do it by actual games.
I had Georgia's a win, so we're minus one for me.
I had us losing the two road games against Auburn and, excuse me, Alabama and Tennessee
for sure.
Then I had the four in the middle, A&M, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, and, Texas.
Road games, Texas.
Texas.
Go to Oklahoma.
Yeah, A&M.
No, we play A&M.
Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Texas and Oklahoma as losses,
but I thought if we won one of those,
then we could drop a home game and be okay.
But for me, I'm minus one right now.
I have tomorrow as a loss,
so it wouldn't change my overall a whole lot.
You know, even if they do lose tomorrow,
they can come back and win both of those games next week,
and that's huge.
Well, I think the thing is, if you lose tomorrow,
now those two home games become huge.
The A&M game becomes crucial.
Like the A&M game,
you can't lose that A&M game
if you lose tomorrow against Mississippi State.
Let me give you another one.
Is Arkansas going to make the tournament?
Before you answer, one in four in Quad-1 games,
only 1-0 in Quad-2 games.
So they've only won two games against Quad-1 or two.
If the tournament was tomorrow, I'm not sure if they'd be in.
Now, they'll get a lot of chances to get good wins, but will they make it?
I think they'll sneak in, maybe one of the last SEC schools to get in.
Let me ask you, though, if he doesn't make it, are you going to feel sorry for him?
No, I'm still rooting for him to lose every game.
He looks sad when he goes up there.
So you say yes?
I'll say they sneak in, yes.
I'm surprised they're not better than they've played so far.
I thought they were going to be a really good team this year.
So I'm going to say there's no way I think he's going to turn it around all of a sudden.
That's what makes that game on February 1st so important.
You have to beat him now.
So yes or no?
No.
I think I'm going no.
Really what hurt him is Miami was one of their big non-conference games,
and they stink.
That did nothing for them.
Michigan's good.
That's what they have.
They just don't have
non-conference resume
and I don't think they're going to have
the SEC resume.
I'm going to say yes
because I think 12 or 13 teams
will get in from the SEC
and I think they're probably
the 1th or 12th or 13th best teams
so I think they end up squeaking in.
So with you saying that,
does that put even more emphasis,
even more pressure on Kentucky
to win that game when Cal and Arkansas comes through us.
You got to win.
The NBA mock draft came out,
by the way.
Aduthierro, the ESPN just put out a new one.
Adut the arrow 20th in the draft.
First round pick.
Boogie Flan, first round pick.
Big Z, second round pick.
So they've got three projected first, or three projected draft picks.
You know how many we have?
Zero.
Zero.
Well, best day in Arkansas history.
Yeah.
That's cool.
Good for them.
Sounds awesome.
Well done.
Well done.
Who's up next?
Bob and Jamestown.
Bob and James Town.
James down. Go ahead.
Matt is a former
Class 1 FFL owner.
I don't want to see anybody get in trouble.

Okay.
You cannot have a medical marijuana card and legally buy a firearm on a federal firearms for.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Appreciate it.
Who's up next?
Donnie.
Donnie.
Donnie.
Go ahead, Donnie.
Hey, Matt, this is the first time I've talked to you guys this year.
Well, good.
I mean, it's only been 10 days, but that's okay.
Listen.
I got a comment.
Man comment, and then I have a question for you.
Matt, this team from what I see, we don't have no bulldog mentality.
We're not hungry.
We don't play with a chip on our shoulder.
And you got to, I just don't understand with seniors, how can you not come out and fight every night?
Now, let me take up for him for a second.
I don't think they don't fight.
I think they fight.
I don't think there's any game where they're not trying.
I think they give 100% effort.
I think they're not that athletic.
They're good, but there's no superstar.
And sometimes they're not tough, which I think is different than fighting.
You can try really hard but not be tough.
So I don't agree that they don't fight.
I think that's not fair.
I've not seen any game where I think these dudes have laid down.
Okay.
That's good.
I understand what you're coming from.
There's a difference.
I'll make this comment, and then I have the question for you.
There's a difference in Biden and fighting.
Come on.
They just don't have it.
Now, here's what bothers me.
And fighting, okay.
I like how you say that.
First, I thought you said there's a difference between Biden.
And I was like, we know, what's the show Biden after this?
You're saying, botan and fighting.
All right, what's the difference?
All right.
Here's a big difference.
Here's what bothers me.
The three games that we have lost, and I love my cats, by the way, the three games that we have lost, I feel, and maybe I'm wrong, I feel that we had the better talent in all three of those losses.
And I'll hang up and listen.
Well, we may have, but we also probably have less talent than the Duke and Gonzaga wins, right?
So, I mean, I think that's, again, I don't know that it's going to be like this forever.
But Drew, when Mark Pope was at BYU, I know I've said this 100 times, they would go win at Kansas,
they would lose it home to Central Florida.
That's just kind of how his teams work.
Now, I don't know if when we get really talented teams, he'll be like that.
But that inconsistency was a part of what it was at BYU, and maybe that'll be what it is for
this team this year.
Yeah, I feel like this season so far, we're really showing how hot we run as a fan base.
after Duke and Gonzaga, there were people ready to make Mark Pope president,
make him governor's statue. He could do no wrong.
And one bad loss to Georgia, and you're seeing people online, like,
well, I don't know about this higher anymore.
I feel like we're just running hot in every direction with these results when it's just so early
in the season. A lot of this is what we knew when he built the roster.
My biggest thing is Shannon, this is not.
And I know people get mad when I say this, but this is not a super talented team.
They're just not.
There's no superstar.
There's no great guy.
So we're going to be inconsistent.
I just think that's just part of it.
Like you don't have anybody in here on this team who's going to play in the NBA,
so we're going to be inconsistent.
We're just like Ryan Lemon.
We're inconsistent.
We're a little bit like Ryan.
He's not playing the NBA, but he's going to have some big moments.
I'm still in the boat.
I think their best basketball is yet to come.
I think they still haven't played their best basketball yet.
I think it's coming.
I think we've had moments, though.
The second half of the Gonzaga game.
Florida game, I think we played pretty amazing.
Except for rebounding, I think they were pretty awesome in that game.

A bespoken spirits, Club Blue NIL.
It's been great to us.
We'll be here again next Friday.
giving away UK Bama ticket, so looking forward to it.
Great crowd here.
Came out in the snow.
All right, it's time for our Draft Kings pick of the weeks.
You go to draftkings.com, promo code KSR, bet $5 win $200.
I'm going to go through here.
We got a lot of stuff to pick, so I'm going to go quick.
SEC basketball, I just want the winner.
We obviously play Mississippi State.
We'll pick that on the pregame show tomorrow.
Auburn, South Carolina.
Auburn, Auburn.
Vandy is at Missouri.
Vandy's 2 and 0 in the conference.
No, they lost.
No, they're 0-2 in the conference.
No, they're 1-1.
All right, whatever.
Mandy at Missouri.
Bandy.
Missouri.
Missouri at home.
I think home teams are hard to beat.
Florida at Arkansas could be a must-win game for your guy, Cal.
They're doing a red and white out.
We'll see if it even happens at Bud Walton, who you got?
Arkansas goes 0-and-3, Florida.
Florida.
Arkansas lost by 20 to Tennessee.
Tennessee lost by 30.
Arkansas loses about 50.
It's math.
All right.
Makes sense.
This is the kind of game Cal pulls out.
Think so?
Just when it's like this is the kind of game he wins.
Florida's not a really tough team, so they won't get out physical.
This is the kind of game Arkansas wins.
I'm going to take Arkansas.
Tennessee coming off their 30-point loss at Texas.
What do you got?
It should be a good game.
I think Tennessee wins this one.
Tennessee.
Yeah, Tennessee.
I'm going to take Tennessee, but it comes down to the buzzer.
Oklahoma at Georgia.
Does Georgia get two in a row and beat Oklahoma who lost it home to A&M?
I'm going to pick the road team.
I'm going to Oklahoma.
I'm going Georgia.
They made a believer out of me.
I'll take the dogs.
I want them to look good in that game.
Make me feel better.
No one goes to this game because they only come to our game.
And then Oklahoma ends up winning.
That's the kind of thing we get.
LSU is at Ole Miss.
Ole Miss is winning.
LSU's the worst team in the conference.
Alabama is at A&M.
Because all these games are so good.
These teams.
Give me the road team again.
Alabama.
I'm going to A&M.
I'm going to take the home team.
I'll go Alabama.
I'm going to go A&M.
The guys pick a lot of.
She didn't pick a lot of road teams.
We'll see if it ends up happening.
Let's go to college football tonight.
Ohio State.
Ohio State.
Ohio State, that's a lot of points.
That's six points favorite, right?
Yeah, Texas covers the Ohio State wins.
All right, NFL, Chargers at Texans in the playoffs.
The Chargers.
Chargers.
Chargers.
Chargers, Texan stink.
Steelers at Ravens.
Ravens win the Super Bowl.
Steelers stink, Ravens.
Broncos at Bills.
Devin Key and the Broncos, pull the upset.
Oh, wow.
That would be a huge one.
You're wearing a bill shirt.
I'm wearing the bills shirt.
I'm taking the bills in Buffalo.
Packers and Eagles, does your team win?
No, but I'm going to pick the Packers anyway.
No, but you're still picking them.
Eagles.
Packers upset.
I think the Packers could win.
I'm going to take the Eagles, but I think that's the chance for a big upset.
Liam Cohen hosts the commanders.
Commanders, Bucks.
Give me the commanders.
Buccaneers are playing great.
I like them.
I take the bucks.
We go commanders on the road.
and finally the Vikings and Rams, this game got moved to Arizona because of the fire,
so it might not be a whole lot of people there.
Who do you got?
Vikings.
Vikings are good.
Rams.
I was going to pick the Rams if the game was in L.A., but since the games got moved and they don't have a home field,
I'm probably going to take the Vikings to win.
Who's up next?
Mike.
Mike, go ahead, Mike.
It's been a while since you talked about this subject,
but I want to add something about the driver's life.
I think.
Yes?
I think if part of the driver's less than license testing,
you should demonstrate that you know how to change your oil, put air in your tire.
No, no.
Even change your tires.
There goes Matt's license.
Yeah, no, listen, why do I, let me ask you,
why do I need to know how to change the oil to drive a car?
They got people that do it.
No, not, not.
Oh, I don't mean change oil.
I meant check your all.
Check your all.
Check your oil.
It's pretty easy, Matt.
I think I know how to do that.
So, okay, I'm all right with that.
What else do I have to do, change a tire?
Well, you need to know how if you have to.
It's hard to even find their tire, you know?
Yeah, all right.
Let's not get ahead of ourselves here.
I mean, there's a level, you know, I don't think we need to know all that.
What was the third thing?
You said, change a tire, check your oil.
What was the third?
What are in your tire?
I can do that. I'm good with that.
I appreciate the call. I'm all right with all that.
I think in theory can change my tire.
In theory?
In theory.
What about in reality?
Well, that's a different question.
I probably, I mean, I probably just, your phones work.
You get a YouTube video and watch it while you're doing it.
That's true. You always can do YouTube videos.
I'm unfortunately having to do mine a lot. It's not a fun situation.
Who's up next?
Brian.
Brian.
Brian. What's up, Brian?
Hey, good morning.
Yes, I was calling just a few. Yeah, just a few questions here.
of all, if public was outback, it would never work.
And since the athletic director would have to retire Mitch Barnhart in order for, I'll hang
up and listen.
Yeah, well, Petino, those were two bizarre questions.
Petino's not going to be an assistant coach.
He's going to be a head coach until he dies.
Speaking of Mitch Barnhart, how many years you think he's got left?
Man, there was a time maybe five years ago.
I thought he was on the short list about to get out of here.
Now, I can seem being here for the duration.
He's got grandkids that are living here now.
I can see me.
I think he gets through.
No, I think he gets through this transition period.
You think so?
He gets through the transition period into this revenue sharing,
and then he moves on, like,
because he, for people who don't know,
he is basically representing the SEC
in these discussions about revenue sharing.
