Welcome back, Techie Sports Radio. Text machine is full of people trying to figure out what Liam sounds like. One person writes, I think Liam sounds like Mr. Burns from The Simpsons.
Starting point is 00:03:34 Ah, kind of does. It's actually not a bad. You can see it, right? Yeah. Indeed. I can see that. One person goes, if Shannon does not keep the Duval as a drop, I'm going to be mad at him. You'll do that for everybody, won't you?
Starting point is 00:03:49 Sure. Yeah. We really play the drops anymore. It's kind of a thing in the past. Yeah, well, it's because I don't know. Are you keeping them as we go anymore? Or are all of them still old? I've got them.
Starting point is 00:03:58 All right. Well, one day we'll do it where we play a bunch of them. One person writes, Matt Liam sounds like you the day you run ambient on the show. That's a good call. Yeah. Why don't we ever play that one in the best of when we have a holiday? We need to play that one again. Didn't we do that one time or no?
Starting point is 00:04:15 Have you ever played it as a best of, Shannon? I don't know. Usually we ask you and you wouldn't say, yeah, play the one. No, no, I would. We'll pick one. I don't know when the next holiday. It's coming up in a couple of weeks. President's Day.
Starting point is 00:04:28 Donald Trump Day, we're taking off, right? Oh, gosh. I should take it off to mourn it. Are you still wanting to go to Mar-a-Lago that day, Matt? Yeah, I'm not good. I'm off. You know, I got my flag. I bought my watch, my sneakers.
Starting point is 00:04:43 I don't know what else you want me to do. I saw that he's apparently trying to look to add himself to Mount Rushmore, but they don't have enough mountain space. Are you kidding? He'll put a rock up there. Is that a joke? No, I'm not kidding. Apparently, he wants to, but they don't have enough space.
Starting point is 00:05:00 So there's a congressman trying to get him to rename Dulles Airport in D.C. for him. I can't even think about it. Put his head on the Statue of Liberty? You can put him everywhere. I mean, listen, let's just all get a tattoo while we're at. 859-280-2287. Let's talk about the basketball games last night. All right, let's start with, did anyone stay up and watch Arizona?
Starting point is 00:05:26 Iowa State but me? Nope. Negative. No, I knew it. I'd be the only one. Because it didn't start until 10.30. Arizona hits a shot. Did you see the shot, Drew?
Starting point is 00:05:37 60 feet at the buzzer to go to overtime. Yes. Fran Fraschilla, who I like Franfichilla, but Ryan, he couldn't have had a worse time announcing. They were about to inbound the ball, and he goes, they need to throw it all the way down the court. Then they imbound it short to Caleb Love and Frasilla goes too short, no way, and then he makes the shot.
Starting point is 00:05:56 Oops. Oops. Sorry, Fran. Iowa State, a backbrae. I mean, you can't expect a guy to hit a 60-footer. Normally, you'd foul right there, but I have to tell you, you probably would rather him shoot a 60-footer than foul. And, Ryan, he makes it.
Starting point is 00:06:14 I mean, what are you going to do at that point? But what an amazing shot, and then they win. I mean, in overtime, once he made that shot, you knew they were going to win. They end up winning an overtime. Yeah, you can't tell your guy to foul somebody 60 feet away from the basketball. Let him have that shot all day. And it just happens he made it. That's got to be, it was late at night, Drew, so I don't know how many people got to see it,
Starting point is 00:06:35 but that's got to be one of the greatest endings of all time in college basketball. I mean, Iowa State's ranked second in the country for a major team to lose on a shot like that. I mean, how many times does that happen in history? Can't be many. I can't remember many. And the scenario of your Iowa State, you know, you're having this great year. you're at the free throw line with three seconds and you're up by two. There's just not a scenario in your head.
Starting point is 00:06:59 You're thinking you walk out of there with a loss and makes one. And then Caleb Love, I guess I should apologize to Ziegler for the jokes about being in college for a long time. Caleb Bluff has really been in college for forever. I mean, a heck of an ending for Arizona there. Insane. Insane. And the place goes crazy. I mean, Shannon, being at that game would have been.
Starting point is 00:07:17 What could be better than your team at home against the number two-rate team in America? hitting a 60-foot shot to go to overtime and then winning. Like, what could be better than that? No, it doesn't get any better than that. Did the student storm the court after that? No, because it was still overtime. They still had to play overtime. If they had won the game, though, I bet they would have.
Starting point is 00:07:38 I mean, but they weren't able to do it. All right, so then the first game, though, Duke NC State, Drew, that had to be one of the craziest games of all time, just in terms of like everything else going on. You had a dude in the middle of play just vomit on the court. Yes, all that. Did you see that? That wasn't like a little baby spit up.
Starting point is 00:08:00 That was a whole ball of a gay or a gallon. It was in the middle of the play. Then after the game, they said he drank too much Gatorade. Do you buy that explanation? Can you drink so much Gatorade that you just projectile vomit just a few minutes later? I don't know. I mean, I'm not a doctor. We should try with Ryan.
Starting point is 00:08:19 Let's get Ryan a bunch of Gatorade and have them run laps and see. But is it plausible that, Drew, you can just throw up Gatorade in the middle of a thing? I believe it. And the second I saw him do it, I said that's Gatorade because that is not a natural. It was bright, green as shit. It was lemon lime. It was lemon lime Gatorade. It looked like Gatorade coming out of his body.
Starting point is 00:08:37 So I think I will believe it. And ESPN not only showed it. They then showed the replay in slow-mo. Like, it was like, we want you to see this dude. I wish we had a snackwards cam. He could just do it like in reverse. Oh, my God. I can make that happen.
Starting point is 00:08:54 So that was bad. That was bad. But just like a minute later, a girl in the student section, I guess, passed out. Now, apparently she's okay, all right? So that's good. But she passed out. And, you know, if you've ever seen the Duke student section, it goes all the way down the court. So if you're in the middle of it, you're stuck.
Starting point is 00:09:16 You can't really get out. So they had to get her out of it. They had to carry her on the court. to then carry her off. Two things struck me about it, right? Number one, they carried her like a bag of potatoes. Like they didn't bring out a stretcher. They carried her by her shoulders and her knees where she was just like saggy.
Starting point is 00:09:38 But secondly, I shouldn't know that because they shouldn't have shown that girl on television, right? Like they, why did they show it on TV? Yeah, that was one of the most awkward medical maneuvers I've ever seen. Like if that was my daughter and I saw that, I'd be really upset that they kind of handled her and treated her that way. But you brought up the good point. Why show it anyway? They don't show you show stuff like that on TV. Why would you show them carrying a random college girl out of the student section?
Starting point is 00:10:09 And they kept the camera on her. Like they kept it on her. Cut away, man. You got, Shaden, don't you have to cut away at that point? Yeah, I mean, like in a baseball game, if somebody, like a fan job, on the field. They don't even show that. So why would you show somebody having a medical issue on TV? I'm with you. If that was my daughter or sister and they carried her out, I mean, I guess you maybe you have to, but like, is there not a stretcher, Drew? Is there not? I mean, I just, I felt like
Starting point is 00:10:40 they were carrying her literally like you were carrying a bag of laundry out of there. And she looks like one of those CPR dolls, just all her limbs were, and they, you're right about following her. they kind of tighten the shot as they got her out of the crowd and followed it all the way to the tunnel entrance until she disappeared. I couldn't believe they followed her. I mean, even if she was a player, I don't think you should follow her like that. It was like when Hulk Hogan carried Miss Elizabeth out on Saturday night's main event, they followed her all the way back to the locker room. Okay, but Miss Elizabeth was part of the, I mean, you just go randomly to a game. I don't feel like you asked to be on national television
Starting point is 00:11:20 if you have a medical incident. Yeah. I mean, I just, I found it really in poor taste to keep that camera on that poor girl. Apparently she's okay. Like she apparently went home on her own. So that's good. Well, what if she wasn't? And they just showed that whole thing, that whole scenario, the way it played out.
Starting point is 00:11:37 It would be awful. It would be awful. And it's bad enough when it's a player. But when it's just someone in the stands, I just thought that was a real thing. really, really poor look by the, by the, whoever was the director or whoever was doing that. The director is showing a player. Yeah, two really strange things in games back to back. Guys just puking everywhere.
Starting point is 00:11:58 Like it was, that was one of a weirder broadcast you'll ever see. Who's up next? Steve. Steve, go ahead, Steve. Hey, Matt, are you hosting a post game show tonight? If we win, I'm going to be on for a little bit, but I can't be on the whole time. So it's going to be a Ryan and Billy special if we lose. If we win, I'll be on for some of it.
Starting point is 00:12:22 Okay. I think Omont Butler's injury is very serious. I mean, he can take time off and rest it and then come right back and injured in the very next game. I'm really concerned about tonight's game and the rest of the season too. I mean, shoulders nothing, you know, nothing to play with. I really hope Lamont Bullard does well, and Andrew Carr does well. And the other backup point guard was then Carissa. I hope he does well too.
Starting point is 00:12:56 Let's just hope faith shines on Kentucky tonight, okay? That's what I want to. Yes, I agree. I do. There you go. I like it. I like it. He got himself worked up through the course of the call.
Starting point is 00:13:09 I like it. Thank you so much, sir. Appreciate the call. I mean, you know, We started the show by going, would you take 9 and 9 for the SEC play? I think I would, Ryan, because I just want to get this group to March, be in the tournament. I feel like when we're in the tournament, especially if we could have a top 8, you know, as long as we could get a top 7 seed, I like our chances in all of this,
Starting point is 00:13:35 but we just got to get to that part, and there are so many difficult games, and there are no easy breaks that it just makes me a little concerned. Yeah, and the unknown factor of how long Butler is going to be out, how long is Carr going to be battling his back injury? If you're telling me I got a chance to still go 9-9, 20 wins, get that 6-7 seed in the tournament, I'm taking it. Would you have ever believed we'd be at a point where we'd be like, let's please go 500 in the SEC and not be furious?
Starting point is 00:14:02 But I really think this is a very unique year. I agree. And we've got to win Saturday. I mean, I don't want to bring up Saturday a lot until tomorrow, but the thought of like Wagner coming in here like I felt good drew about Lamont Butler if he guard but if we don't have him you know Wagner and John L. Davis there's a world where they could get off you know oh I know and if you don't win tonight that could be staring down oh and four if you don't win that game it's an uncomfortable situation looking ahead to that I wish Mark Pope would just come out this would never happen but I wish you'd say hey everyone completely just ice them down because I think winning at Arkansas is more, or beating Arkansas is more important tonight. I know he can't say that, but I wish they would give me a little comfort moving towards the end of the week if that was the game plan. The crowd, we're going to need that crowd.
Starting point is 00:14:54 If you got tickets that game Saturday night, you need to get yourself ready to be loud because we're going to need it. Who's next? Frank. Frank, how are you Frank? How are you doing? Good. I just wondered. I was wondering if you saw a damn, Doc it said a couple days ago on his podcast. And what were your response to that? You talked about where he said we were unhinged or something, the fans in the media at UK. Yeah, I mean, he said we were unhinged and bordering on and becoming irrelevant,
Starting point is 00:15:30 which, as I said, was perfect from him because it actually describes him more than it does anyone else. Unhinged and becoming irrelevant. So, you know, it is, look. what I've learned over the years is that when people are fading into obscurity, they yell to the heavens to try to get someone to pay attention to them. And that's exactly what Dockich has done.
Starting point is 00:15:55 You know, with Seth, Seth's on ESPN. So while his stuff frustrates me, what he says still matters because he's on the biggest network, he's on the games. What Dan says ultimately is irrelevant, and there's never been anybody whose career
Starting point is 00:16:09 has fallen off like his, is self-inflicted. Because as an in-game announcer, in my opinion, he's as good as anybody that did it. And because he was so unbearable to be around and because he said such crazy things, not just on the air, but off the air, he ended up ruining what would have been,
Starting point is 00:16:29 I think, something he was really good at. I agree. He also got kind of personal, too. You were dumb. You were dumb. He didn't know nothing about basketball, and Kentucky fans didn't be either. I didn't know he said something about me personally.
Starting point is 00:16:45 I didn't hear that. Oh, yeah, yeah. Yeah, he didn't know nothing about basketball, never played. But see, that's a perfect example. He said that days ago, and not one person has told me that until you, which says to me that nobody listens to what he says. So I appreciate the call. You know, it's the way it goes.
Starting point is 00:17:04 Remember a few years ago, Shannon, when he said that he, like, asked me to fight at a game and I wouldn't, remember that? Yeah. He just completely made that up. You've always gotten into a couple of fights. Not me. How are the people challenging you to fight? Yeah, I'm going to fight at Rupparino with a 60-year-old man.
Starting point is 00:17:24 Hey, man. He's got an old man strength. Yeah, let's fight here at Ruperina, right? Let's fight here right in front of these old ladies in the front row, Dan. Sure, come on. One time he was ready to take on Larry Vaught one time, remember that? Now, that I would pay for. That I would pay for.
Starting point is 00:17:42 Docchich versus Larry Vaught with John Wong as the guest referee. Book it. Drew, I'm in for that. It's been almost 10 years, and I haven't forgotten him going at Oscar Combs. I was ready to go find Dan Docketts in Indianapolis. Who goes at Oscar Combs? Who goes at Oscar Combs? I mean, what an absolute good.
Starting point is 00:18:02 And I remember there was a time, anytime you say anything to him, he'd go, well, my wife is hot. I was like, stop. Like, really, that's your comeback? is that, you know, well, you know what I would have said? I go to Don Franklin for the best deals. Don Franklin, hunk of dot com. That would be on fire. They treat me like family.
Starting point is 00:18:20 They give me the best prices. 27 locations around the state. We've been to almost all of them everywhere we go. People are nice. Great selection. They had so many cars, the one we went to. And next thing we didn't even have anywhere to park. Go to Don Franklin Auto.com to find your new or use vehicle with Don Franklin.
Starting point is 00:18:37 We'll take a break. Be right back, KSR. Last night, a blown. call changed a game. This morning, the internet lost its mind. Highlights are trending, opinions are flying, and nobody's telling you exactly what happened. That's where Sports Slice comes in. I'm Timbo. Every episode, we're cutting through the noise, breaking down the plays, the controversies, and the stories behind the headlines. We go straight to the source, the athletes themselves, their locker room stories, their reactions, the stuff nobody
Starting point is 00:19:02 gets to hear. The laughs, the drama, the triumphs, the moments that never make the highlight Real. From viral moments to historic games, from buzzer beaters to controversial calls, we break it down, give you context, and ask the questions everybody wants answered. Sportslice brings you closer to the action with stories told by the people who live them. Listen to SportsClyce on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. And for more, follow Timbo Slices Life 12 in the TikTok podcast network on TikTok. What's up guys? This is Clever-Taylor the 4th. And on my podcast, The Cliverts Show, I'm bringing you conversations about all kinds of stuff. Like being an internet famous referee.
Starting point is 00:19:39 We're in the middle of a game. This linebacker walks up to me, he goes, hey, ref, my mom wants you to wave at her. What? Quarterback on office blue 42. Hey, ref, my mama want you to wave at her. What? Hey, Ms. Parker. Listen to the Cliverts show on the I-Heart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast.
Starting point is 00:20:09 What's up, Fam? Miss Isaiah Thomas. And I'm C.J. Toledano and our podcast Point Game is about defining the odds. Like LeBron heading into the playoffs without Luca and Austin Reed. And finding ways to win no matter what. He's the smartest player to ever play the game. His IQ is at a level that we've never seen before. And he knows without Luca and Austin Reeves, I got to manipulate the game.
Starting point is 00:20:30 We get a player's perspective on the challenges of the playoffs. I think Joker's going to be exhausted this series because when they don't have Rudy in the lineup, he has to really guard guys like Nas Reid. He has to guard Julius Randall. And then he has to give us everything he gives us on the night-to-night basis on offense. And when IT's friends stop by, like Quentin Richardson, we dive into some playoff history too.
Starting point is 00:20:52 Steve Nass would get that thing. That man, hell get the flying. He run up the court, licking his fingers while he got the ball. Like, after you go through a training camp with that, Isaiah, you figure it out real quick. Get your ass up and down the court, and you're going to get the ball.
Starting point is 00:21:07 So listen to Point Game on the, iHeart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. There are times when the mind becomes a difficult place to live. This is David Eagleman with the Inner Cosmos podcast, and for Mental Health Awareness Month, we're dedicating a series to understanding the mind when it struggles. I'm joined by doctors, researchers, and those with lived experience. We'll talk with singer-songwriter Jewel about anxiety. I started living in my car, and then my car got stolen.
Starting point is 00:21:37 I was shoplifting, I was having panic attacks, I was agoraphobic. And making it through hardship. To be present is a learned skill, and it's hard to be present. We'll talk with John Nelson about clinical depression and the brain implant that saved his life. What I learned is that procedure made me happy because I'm disease-free. And we'll talk with leading experts like Judd Brewer about anxiety, and John Hirschfield about obsessive-compulsive disorder. and the science of how the brain can change.
Starting point is 00:22:10 This is a month of deeply personal and honest conversations about what happens when the brain goes off course and what we can do about it. Listen to Inner Cosmos on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Welcome back. It is Kentucky Sports Radio. 859-280-2287. You know, Shannon, I would like...
Starting point is 00:22:42 Actually, you know what? I'm not going to go into it. I don't need any more people riding on the text machine. What? What is it? You teased us. You know, I don't understand the people who the moment a certain politician they likes name is mentioned negatively. They freak out.
Starting point is 00:23:06 Like, do you, we all need someone, Shannon, who rides for people like some of these folks do for, for, it's like it's like they want him to be king Shannon oh yeah I know a lot of people probably do and it's somebody you don't even you don't even know him personal like I really liked Obama like really liked thought he was a good president seemed like a good dude but there's never a moment in my life that I would have written a stranger to be like hey you need to like him put put like why would anyone want to do that for someone they'll never meet right I don't get it. I mean, if it was, if it was Mark Pope, that's different shit, but a politician.
Starting point is 00:23:50 I just don't get it. You can meet Pope, you can go up, you'll take a picture, you know, hold your baby. Like, Craig Greenberg is my friend. But I'm not going to get in a fight with someone over Craig as much as I like him because, like, life's too short, right? I might fight for Craig. Like, you would fight with a stranger, like, you would, like, get in. to a, like, you would write a stranger and be like, you're the worst because they said something about, and I love her.
Starting point is 00:24:18 No, not, not really. Exactly. I was about saying, you wouldn't do that for me. That's true. You're right. He is a liberal, a stinking liberal. Tell him. Tell him about it.
Starting point is 00:24:33 859, 280, 2287. You know, we talked the other day, Drew, about that whole Bill Burr, Billy Corgan thing in the video. and you guys all watched it later, right? You all saw it. I still am shocked that didn't become a bigger story. You know, there have been people who suggested they thought it might be fake, but I've looked everywhere on the Internet, and I have not seen that it's fake.
Starting point is 00:24:59 I've seen people writing that it was real. I've seen people writing going, I think it's real, but I don't really know. But I haven't seen anybody like proved that it's fake. But what I can't believe, Drew, is I'm really surprised it didn't become a bigger story because it was so bizarre. And those are famous people. And I feel like we were the only people that talked about it. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:25:22 Like you all watch the video. It's one of the strangest videos I've ever seen in my life. Next to Liam Cohen. Well, I mean, Liam would have been just as awkward. But are you, do you agree with me, Drew? Like that's how did that not become a bigger thing? Really, when I watched it after we talked about it, most of the stuff I saw online were people accusing of it being fake.
Starting point is 00:25:42 but I've seen a, I don't remember the exact website, but something with a little more credibility than Reddit and Twitter, had some comments about Burr after the interview, and he was still mad and saying it wasn't fake. So I think a lot of people speculated about it and maybe shrugged it off, but as far as I can tell, it's very real and is just as uncomfortable as I thought it was when you first brought it up. And it makes me, I've always thought of Howie Mandel, that's the guy Ryan with the briefcases, right? He seems like a pleasant guy. He just has the briefcases. and I wonder if I'll ever look at Howie Mandel as anything but a jerk again because of watching that, you know? See, you watch it and you just look at Bill Burr, watch his reaction, listen to what he says, you know it's real to him.
Starting point is 00:26:25 That's real. Yeah, but Howie Mandel, shame on you for setting that up and try to, you know, ambush Bill Burr like that. That's why I look at it. And I don't think it was Billy Corgan's fault. Do you like, I mean, he says he was told Burr was cool with it. Yeah, in the clip, he's like, wait, he does. didn't tell you and he seemed genuine when he says that. Like it sounds like he's being surprised also in the clip.
Starting point is 00:26:47 So, Shannon, do you think there's any chance that it's fake? I mean, yeah, there's always a chance. Do I think that was fake? I mean, it didn't come across as fake to me. It seemed pretty real to me. I would say if it's fake, they're two of the best. Like, they need to be a movie. Well, I guess Bill Burr is in movies sometimes, but they both need to be because I
Starting point is 00:27:03 felt like it was real. And I felt like it was the most awkward thing I've ever seen. and I'm really surprised because they are all three very famous people. I'm surprised it didn't get more attention just because I can't remember the last time I've seen a more uncomfortable thing on a camera in my life. Do you think that's why people are so uncomfortable seeing this inside family drama? We don't want to be a part of it. We'd feel so bad for them. Maybe that's what it is.
Starting point is 00:27:34 I don't know. But it's crazy. My thing with it about not being fake is, okay, this is, a very wild story. If they really wanted to tell it, why would you go to Howie Mandel? Who even knew Howie Mandel had a show? Bill Burr is very capable of doing this moment without
Starting point is 00:27:48 Howie Mandel if he wanted to tell this story and have Billy Corgan involved. So you think it is fake? No, no, no. I'm saying if they were all in on it, why would you even include Howie Mandel if you're Bill Burr? That's a small platform for such a big crazy story that you're trying to tell for the first time.
Starting point is 00:28:05 I didn't know Howie Mandel had a podcast. That's my point. Why are you going to do that? Howie sees the moment. there and surprised him. Howie's the winner. Now everybody knows about his podcast. He is the winner, but I think I'm going to always look at him as a jerk, because I can't believe he did that. A jerk, a jerk in the voice of the Gremlin's. Yeah, it's pretty much his legacy. He was a watch of the Gremlin. No, he doesn't. He was a voice in the Gremlin. Yeah, you didn't know that? No. Like Spike. I think all of them. Yeah, I think he did most of them. He was all the Gremlin?
Starting point is 00:28:31 I think he was. He did a lot of them, yeah. How do you not know that? I had no, I just thought he was the briefcase guy. And then he did. He didn't shake hands. I didn't know he was the Gremlin's guy. He was big before that. He was like on like guiding light or general hospital or something. He was on America's Got Talent. Still on America's Got Talent.
Starting point is 00:28:49 I had no idea he was the Gremlin. Yeah. Wow. All right. Who's up next? I got to go quick. Let's go to Cody. Cody real quick.
Starting point is 00:29:00 MJ, how you doing today? Thanks for having me on. A lot of fight talk. We don't need to call for you to. Yeah, go ahead. I can't unhear it now. but hey, I think it's time for you to throw your hat in the ring with one of the Paul brothers. I hear there's good money in that.
Starting point is 00:29:14 I'm good. No, thanks. I'll stick with docket. But, hey, I do got a good question for you. So let's say that it's an either-or question. Either tonight, Perry and Trent Noah have the game of their lives and lead us to a big win in Tennessee, or we blow out Arkansas. You can only have one.
Starting point is 00:29:34 I'll answer that right after this. That's an easy answer, but I'll be right back. T.J. Smith, personal injury attorney. Call T.J. He'll make them pay. Now, more of Kentucky Sports Radio presented by Stockton Mortgage. Here's Matt Jones. You know how to get me. Like, this is such a great song.
Starting point is 00:29:51 Oh, yeah. I'll play some Mark Chestnut for Billy on the pre-show. He had no idea who it was. I'll play it for Matt. What a, what a deleted young man. That's right. I love Brother Jukebox. Love, I'll think of something.
Starting point is 00:30:06 You know, the song that has come back into my life thanks to Zach Top. is two dozen roses. Oh, yeah, Shandah. I'm like, and I actually think Zach Topps' version is better. Sorry, Shinnandoah, although I love Shinn and Doa too. But I find myself going,
Starting point is 00:30:20 if I had two dozen roses, Shannon, all the time. It's such a great song. Yeah, they're going to be a... In the country from the 90s, it's just better. I don't care what anybody said. Rap and country were better in the 90s than they've been ever both since.
Starting point is 00:30:35 That's just the way it is. That's why we're going to that Ashland Festival. You get Shinn Doe and Mark Chestnut. They both. Perfect. Bring Zach Top. I'm going to have to miss him. So Zach, I think I told you the Zach Top dude, his manager is a Kentucky fan, right?
Starting point is 00:30:50 Yeah. Wrote me, offered me like front row tickets to see Zach Top. The problem is it's during the Kentucky Arkansas game. Oh, no. It's Saturday night in Columbus. So, like, I can't miss the Kentucky Arkansas game. No. And then I looked at the schedule, and every time he's close, we have a Kentucky something.
Starting point is 00:31:09 So there'll be another tour. There's only a bit one time that Calgary walks in for the first time, though. He's getting big, though, and like now it's not going to. It's like when Tyler, like he had that last tour and then he got huge. I kind of think that's going to happen with this guy, too. All right. So the question, by the way, I forgot about Howie Mandel drew Bobby's World. I didn't remember that cartoon.
Starting point is 00:31:31 I didn't know if you would remember that or not, though. I do remember Bobby's where. I was actually good. I had no idea about the Grimels. Really. Never. never had heard that. All right, so the guy asked, which would you rather have?
Starting point is 00:31:42 Ryan, I'll let you start, and everybody can go over. Travis Perry and Trent Noah score 15 points each tonight, and we beat Tennessee and lose to Arkansas. Or we lose tonight, blow Arkansas out. From a resume perspective, you'd actually rather have the Tennessee win than the Arkansas win, but I'm still picking Arkansas. I don't care if Travis Perry and Trent Noah got 30 points each.
Starting point is 00:32:08 I don't want to lose to Cal in the first game back. I'm picking Arkansas. What about you? Yeah, this is an easy one. Blowing out Arkansas. Cowell's first trip back, they come limping in, maybe the worst team in the SEC. You can't let that team come into Rupreen and beat you, regardless who their coach is. Drew?
Starting point is 00:32:25 I completely agree. I want Noah and Perry to have their big moment, and I hate Tennessee. But Cal needs his beat down to Rup Arena. That's top priority right now, and that needs to happen on Saturday. Shannon? Here's the thing. on Kentucky's resume, they already have several really good wins. They don't have a bad loss yet.
Starting point is 00:32:44 Not a bad loss. Ohio State's not a good one, but not a terrible one. Yeah, but I mean, like losing on the same caliber of losing to Arkansas. So I would rather have the win over Arkansas and you'll lose the Tennessee game. Yeah, me too. I mean, if it were, pick any other teams, like if you were saying to me, would you rather lose at home to South Carolina but then beat Alabama on the road? I'm going to take beating Alabama on the road.
Starting point is 00:33:09 But in this particular instance, there's no way that I'm going to pick losing to Arkansas. I don't even want to think about what losing to Arkansas would be like at home. Yeah, because there's a strong chance you're going to be riding a three-game losing street coming into that game against Arkansas. You can't drop four in a row. And then you got Ole Miss after that. It could be five. I mean, there is a world in which if you were to lose to Arkansas, you start having that. especially if Butler and Carr are out, you start having that conversation of,
Starting point is 00:33:40 could we miss the tournament? You got to. You got to discuss it. So, yeah, no. Yes, no. We cannot lose to Arkansas. Who's next? Let's go to Jake from Florida.
Starting point is 00:33:52 Jake, go ahead, Jake. Yo, can you hear me? Gotcha. Hello? All right. So I got a story about the Duval thing they got going on in Jacksonville. I went to a game one time with, the buddy of mine and they started chanting
Starting point is 00:34:11 to do a ball thing and I was like I asked one of the Jacksonville fans I said what in the world are they doing what is that and he was just rude man I don't rock with Jacksonville Jacksonville fans anymore he was like did you not look at anything before you came to this game I was like no I'm not from here I was just asking like what's the chant you're doing he was like
Starting point is 00:34:30 it's obviously the county we're in do not know that I was like sorry man I'm not from here can you like take it easy on me Yeah, they are like they love the Duval thing. You know, in Kentucky we do, I appreciate the call. In Kentucky, we do like represent our counties a lot, especially if you're in rural places. But they do love the call.
Starting point is 00:34:53 I mean, do you know, like how many other of the NFL teams, Ryan, do you know what county they're in? Like what county is, what county are the Houston Texans in? Do you know? No idea. No clue. No. What county is Green Bay in, Shannon? I don't even think I know.
Starting point is 00:35:11 Chicago, I believe Chicago is Cook County. Is that right? It sounds like that sounds right. I want to say that's Cook County. I don't know. Do you know what county Nashville is in, Drew? I can do two teams. Nashville's Davidson.
Starting point is 00:35:29 And if I'm not mistaken, the Bengals are in Hamilton. That's a good call. You're right about. I would not have known Nashville. You're right. Cincinnati is Hamilton. Green Bay is Brown. County. You could have given me all day.
Starting point is 00:35:41 I would have said Brown County. Nobody would know that. Is Atlanta Cobb County? There you go. Is Atlanta though in Cobb County or is it in? I know Cobb County borders it, but is Atlanta technically in Cobb County? Not sure. Because there's like Forcith County.
Starting point is 00:35:55 I only know this from elections because I'll DeColb County or what county is Atlanta. I would have said Cobb, but now you mentioned I'm second guessing myself. No, it's Fulton. What are we talking about? Colt County Stadium. How did we not know that? That was a brain fart. That was a brain fart.
Starting point is 00:36:14 That was a brain fart. How did we not know that? Let's see. St. Louis. What county? Anybody know? Jefferson. I have no idea.
Starting point is 00:36:24 You said that with confidence, though. I like the confidence. See if you guys like, yeah, that's it. Yeah. How did we not get Fulton County, Shannon? Come on. It's children. Braves fans.
Starting point is 00:36:38 St. Louis is in St. Louis County. It feels like one that you should be able to remember. Philadelphia, I'm trying to think if there's any other. What's Cleveland? Cleveland is Lake County. Would make sense? I don't know. I can't think of another one.
Starting point is 00:36:58 We're like the only state in the whole union that says we're identified by what county we're from. Nobody else does that. I think we care about counties more than almost. any of you're exactly right about that i can't even pronounce cleveland's county what i can i can get like eight more pro teams go for los angeles county you're right okay you're right yeah that gets i get them all no because no no those are in new jersey yeah they're in new jersey um
Starting point is 00:37:24 yeah what was cleveland it's like it's like an indian name isn't it it's spelled c u y a h o g a kaijahah kaiahoga Yeah, that's an Indian name. That's a Native American county. Oh, Ron, you should get Tampa. Come on. Where were the parents living in Tampa? Come on.
Starting point is 00:37:44 Pinellas County. Boom. Yeah. Look at us. There we go. We're nailing. Of course, the most important county is. Duval.
Starting point is 00:37:56 Did you see walking to the podium think he's going to be so cool? You know he thought that was going to be hit. You know he did. Which makes it hurt even more because he thought in his mind this is going to be great. and it just, uh, Tim, go ahead,
Starting point is 00:38:09 Tim. Hey, Matt, this is, Tim, I'm in Illinois. I live in Randolph County, Illinois,
Starting point is 00:38:15 but I'm from Hopkins County in Kentucky. There you go. Shout out. All right. All right. You asked one time that you, how to promote your show to get better listeners, why can't you guys get on the SEC network like Paul Finebaum?
Starting point is 00:38:29 Well, we should be. We should be. I don't know. I mean, I think, and just during basketball season. I'm with,
Starting point is 00:38:37 you. We should be on the NCC network. I had conversations with them, like, back when I was filling in for Fibbom, the problem was going to be that they produce everything out of Charlotte, and they were like, you'd have to go to Charlotte, and we can't all live in Charlotte. So it just didn't, because they don't have studios, so that would have been. But since then, I made a man, I said the one Missouri coach should be replaced, and, you know, who knows, maybe one day. Okay. All right. Okay.
Starting point is 00:39:08 I appreciate you bringing in Kentucky, D. Illinois, every day. Thank you. Thank you, sir. Bye-bye. You know, I know you know Shinn,
Starting point is 00:39:14 who's from Cobb County, Georgia, though, right? The big boss man. The big boss man. Yep. That's right. He always gets his man. No, that's the Mountie.
Starting point is 00:39:22 Same thing. That was the Canadian. The boss man carried a big stick, a ball and chain, too. If you're looking for trouble, he'd be coming after you. You'll be serving hard times. The Braves are in Cobb County, though, right?
Starting point is 00:39:34 The stadium? Yeah. It moved up to, I think it moved up to, to Cobb County. Draft Kings, if you want to place a wager on all the college games tonight, go to Draft Kings.
Starting point is 00:39:44 Use my promo code KSR. Remember, great deals. Got the Super Bowl coming. Let's make some picks for Draft Kings. Louisville, with maybe the last game, they could lose this year. It's crazy. Louisville might end up like 19 and 1 in the ACC.
Starting point is 00:40:01 They host Wake Forest tonight. They are an eight and a half-point favorite. Drew, any chance that, weight pulls off the upset. I don't think so. Goal with the cards. I think they're better than we all gave them credit for. They're getting better.
Starting point is 00:40:17 It seems like as they go along in their season is going to just end up getting better and better because they don't play anybody. So, yeah, Louisville wins. It's hard to know. Yeah, I mean, it's hard to, I don't know, it's hard to see them losing. I don't know, though, how good they are because, I mean, I know they're good, but the ACCC is so bad. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:35 Are we going to cover tonight? it's now 10 and a half, Drew. Oh, wow. I'll do you one better because it just went live. I just got the text. We have a parlay on the app. What is it? It does not involve the final score or winning team.
Starting point is 00:40:50 Probably good. Choose your own adventure on that. It involves two players. Jackson, Robinson, and Otega Oway. We need Robinson to have 15. Oway to have 12. Oway needs a three. Robinson needs three-threes.
Starting point is 00:41:02 That's all. Oway, 12 points, 13, 13. Robinson 15 points 3 3s. If those things don't happen, just come on home. It's true. Because it's not going to be a good night for the cats. I really like Jackson, Rob. Is that the over under points?
Starting point is 00:41:16 It's almost 5. It's plus 4.50. Just for that. I like that parlay, but I'll tell you, just as a straight bet, Robinson over 15 is a good bet. Because if Robinson doesn't score 15, we're going to score 40 points tonight. Robinson over 15 is plus money about self, I will add.
Starting point is 00:41:33 Oh, dude. So there you go. Look, we can not have to bet against them to win, not have to worry about an outcome, just a Jackson Robinson breakthrough. Individual performances. Yes. I like it. Robinson's got, he's got to get 15 because he's going to have to shoot like every time. So I like that one.
Starting point is 00:41:53 All right. We'll take a break. Come back. Final segment. It's KSR. Last night, a blown call changed a game. This morning, the internet lost its mind. Highlights are trending.
Starting point is 00:42:02 Opinions are flying. Nobody's telling you exactly what happened. That's where Sports Slice comes in. I'm Timbo. Every episode, we're cutting through the noise. Breaking down the plays, the controversies, and the stories behind the headlines. We go straight to the source, the athlete themselves. Their locker room stories, their reactions, the stuff nobody gets to hear.
Starting point is 00:42:20 The laughs, the drama, the triumphs, the moments that never make the highlight real. From viral moments to historic games, from buzzer beaters to controversial calls, we break it down, give you context and ask the questions everybody wants answers. Sports Slice brings you closer to the action with stories told by the people who live them. Listen to Sports Slice on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. And for more, follow Timbo Slicelife-Life 12
Starting point is 00:42:45 and the TikTok podcast network on TikTok. What's up guys? This is Clivert Taylor the 4th. And on my podcast, The Cliverts show, I'm bringing you conversations about all kinds of stuff. Like being an internet famous referee. We're in the middle of a game. This linebacker, this linebacker walks up to me, he goes, hey, ref, my mom wants you.
Starting point is 00:43:03 to wave at her. What? Time out. Quarterback on office blue with 42. Hey, Wreck, my mama want you to wave at her. What? Hey, Miss Parker. Listen to the Clippers show on the IHeart Radio app,
Starting point is 00:43:23 Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. What's up, fam? It's Isaiah Thomas. And I'm C.J. Toledano, and our podcast Point Game is about defying the odds. Like LeBron heading into the playoffs without Luca and Austin Reed. And finding ways. to win no matter what. He's the smartest player to ever play the game.
Starting point is 00:43:40 His IQ is at a level that we've never seen before. And he knows. Without Luca and Austin Reeves, I got to manipulate the game. We get a player's perspective on the challenges of the playoffs. I think Joker's going to be exhausted this series because when they don't have Rudy in the lineup,
Starting point is 00:43:57 he has to really guard guys like Nas Reid. He has to guard Julius Randall. And then he has to give us everything he gives us on the night-to-night basis on offense. And when IT's friends stopped by, like Quentin Richardson, we dive into some playoff history too. Steve Nass would get that thing. That man, hell get the flying.
Starting point is 00:44:13 He running up the court, licking his fingers why he got the ball. Like, after you go through a training camp with that, Isaiah, you figure it out real quick. Oh, yeah. Get your ass up and down the court, and you're going to get the ball. So listen to Point Game on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Everyone, it's Ryder Strong and Will Fidel from PodMeets World. And now the Pod Meets Twirled podcast. We're two men who were completely clueless to reality TV,
Starting point is 00:44:44 who now have covered Dancing with the Stars, traitors, and we're gearing up for the season finale of Survivor. So yeah, now we're experts. I know we annoyed a lot of our listeners by our severe lack of survivor knowledge. That is the point of the show. I'm just going to remind you. I have watched some Survivor.
Starting point is 00:45:03 I obviously haven't watched enough. Did people not like it? Like what was just because we? Yeah. We'll be recapping the big conclusion in the 50th season, from the final attempts at gameplay, to the desperate pleas of finalists to a bunch of of ha, who, ha, ooh, ha, ooh, ha, ooh.
Starting point is 00:45:18 Again, we are experts. So make sure to tune to to Pod Meets Twirled for all our Survivor 50 takes. Listen to PodMeets Twirled on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I thought you were going to play Two Dazin' Roses, but you didn't stand with a big boss man. This is a much better song than Two Thousand Roses. Yeah, you're doing hard time.
Starting point is 00:45:44 Have you ever... Yeah, he is. Yeah, rest in peace. Did you ever see the interview that Vinetti did in OVW with the big boss man? I did, actually, yeah. They were down at the garden or whatever, the Louisville Gardens. Yeah, it was good stuff. Yeah, I did.
Starting point is 00:45:59 Some other counties. I should have gotten this, again, from elections Miami-Dade County. Yeah, that's true. By the way, Tampa is not in the county you said it was. Pinellas? You said it's in Hillsborough County. Okay. Must be St. Petersburg's Pinellas County, then.
Starting point is 00:46:15 It must be two different counties down there. Is that where your parents lived? They were in Largo, which is closer to St. Petersburg. Okay. I should have gotten Phoenix, Arizona, Maricopa County, because my buddy was the guy who ran the elections there that all the Trump people, like, threatened to kill in 2020. Stephen Richter, good guy.
Starting point is 00:46:37 I should have known that because that was his job. He was Maricopa County election guy. Yeah, the rest of these, I don't think people would. know. Did you know that Washington is in Prince George's County in Maryland? No. No. I'm disappointed in Dade.
Starting point is 00:46:54 Should have had that one. We should have had Dade. We should have had Fulton. Pitbull is very disappointed in us right now. Rick Ross, all the guys down there, we should have known Dade County. The Louvre, some breaking news here. I know you want some art world news, Shannon.
Starting point is 00:47:09 I know you like that. That's right. The Louve is moving the Mona Lisa away from the public's reach to where you have to see it behind glass because so many people have been trying to
Starting point is 00:47:25 throw things on it in the loop. So the Mona Lisa now, I've seen it, you could like walk up to it. There was a bear you couldn't like touch it but you could walk right up to it it now will be far away from the public behind glass because so many people have
Starting point is 00:47:41 tried to like ruin it over the last few years. Yeah. This trend of throwing soup on art and stuff like that on the art this famous artwork is ridiculous. I don't get it anyway. Paint on on stuff that's existed for hundreds of years. That stuff's so annoying. I get you got a cause you want to stand up for, but destroying something like that is not how to do it.
Starting point is 00:48:01 Yeah. I, uh, yeah, that's, it's usually like the people who want to like make points about climate change or whatever. I don't know why people think that will help make your point. I often want to say to liberals, like when you just make people mad, they're not going to want to be on your side. It's like the people who stand out and block traffic, Shannon. When someone's blocking traffic, no one is going to be on their side.
Starting point is 00:48:23 They want to get home. It's a great way to get everybody to immediately hate you. Exactly. So the people who do things like throw paint on art, I'm like, it's counterproductive. People are going to get mad at you. That's not a way to convince them to do anything. Let's do one more. Who's next?
Starting point is 00:48:38 Terry. Terry, go ahead, Terry. Yeah, guys, what are you kind of a different angle? on the injuries. What's your off take on? Like, how do you think the staff handles this? I mean, Carr's been playing with this back injury
Starting point is 00:48:56 for like two or three weeks. What is, then they give him a week off. He gets a whole week off, and then he can't go against Vandy. I would say 99% chance he doesn't play tonight. So do you think they say, well, we probably can't, beat Vandy without him so we won't play.
Starting point is 00:49:17 We probably can't beat Tennessee with him so we won't play. Same with Butler. What's the psychology do you think? That's a great question. I'm not sure. I mean, I think I would think, and I appreciate the call. I got the sense with these are two different things, because I don't know what Butler's injury was.
Starting point is 00:49:35 Carr, I think they decided that continuing to try to move him along was doing nothing, so they were going to try to give him an extended period off. I'm actually surprised if they were going to say Butler was out. I thought they'd do the same with Carr. I don't know if he'll play tonight or not. If I were to guess, I don't think we see Kerr again, Drew, the rest of the year. I do think we'll see Carr at some point. I don't know about Butler.
Starting point is 00:50:02 There's a part of me that's worried about Butler because a back can flare up, not flare up, hurt, not hurt. If you tear your shoulder, you've torn your shoulder. You know what I mean? And there's a part of me, Drew, that worries, hopefully I'm wrong, but that worries maybe we've reached a point
Starting point is 00:50:25 that will make it tough for him to come back. I hope I'm wrong, though. I'm with you. I'll start with Kerr going in order of everything we said there. Even if he gets healthy, if it doesn't happen soon, you worry about just bringing a guy off a lower leg injury that hadn't played basketball in two months
Starting point is 00:50:40 and throwing him in a tournament. I don't think we'll see him again with car the back thing i think with rest we'll get him eventually but butler is now my biggest concern uh his dad retweeted something last night that said let him rest and get healthy we need him for march and at first i got it excited but i thought wait a minute need him for march does that mean we don't have him until march so that was kind of hard to interpret his dad's retweet there but it doesn't seem like he's close to being a a big participant well that does make me feel better i didn't know that drew that actually does make me feel better because i don't think he'd be retweeting we
Starting point is 00:51:11 need him for March if we knew he wouldn't play in March. Yeah, immediately made me feel better. Yeah, if he tore his shoulder, he's not coming back. So that makes me feel like maybe he didn't. So actually, I didn't know what you just said. That actually makes me feel a little better. Yeah, we need him for March. It makes me wonder how soon we'll get him, but it's, you know, optimistic that we'll see
Starting point is 00:51:31 him again. Yeah. All right. Real quick, give me a percentage chance we win, Ryan. Five. that's almost saying like a zero yeah i was going to go 20 what about you drew we were in this exact spot two years ago severe wheeler was out casein wallace was out they're at 11 a half point underdog i drove down there not wanting to be there at all i picked it before the year began
Starting point is 00:52:01 fully expected a loss and they go down there whoop them with c j frederick adieu was bringing the ball up the court i'm not saying that will happen tonight but i i don't think it's completely written off I thought Ryan was a little low. I'll say, I'll also say 20%, but it's going to take some special shooting. Cornbreadhempt.com, promo code KSR, full spectrum flower-only hemp CBD, helps you rest, helps you relax. Hopefully we'll need it after this game tonight because we'll all be so worked up after the win. Go to cornbread hemp.com, use my promo code KSR for 30% off. Pre-game show starts at 4.30.
