Hour number two, Kentucky Sports Radio, February the 6th. Matt is off today because he has his colonoscopy this afternoon,

so everybody's keeping him in your thoughts and prayers. You know, anytime you go under anesthesia, it's a little scary for a person. So we decided to give him the day off today. So we came in, Matt, Drew, and Ryan. Shannon Drew and Ryan. Did you forget? Yeah, I forgot who was doing the show. Okay.

Are you under anesthesia? I am under anesthesia. I live on anesthesia. This is another Pope quote from last night's coaches' shows. I saved it for this hour so we can maybe turn things around a little bit. Look at all this show prep. You did. Well, you know, we got to call at what, 8.30 this morning, so I had at least an hour to get ready for the show.

Mark Pope, last night and he's coach's show. We got a lot left in the tank and you're going to be really proud. That's what I want to hear. You know, that's what I want to hear is that like, look, we still are not playing, maybe not even playing our best basketball yet. We still got a lot to go. We get all of our pieces back. We're still going to be that team that's going to make you proud and make a big run.

That's what I want to hear. On Tuesday before 7 o'clock, I was willing to commit to a four-game winning streak after Mississippi. I wasn't sure about that one. South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas Vanderbilt. They were so bad at Ole Miss. I'm not ready to get behind that. I almost made it my hot take. But they do have four very winnable games here.

I know Tennessee is a big name, but you thumped them in their own gym. Surely you could do it in Rupp Arena. So, you know, if you win the next four, we can all take a big sigh of relief forehead into Alabama and feel like you're in a pretty good spot and just see if you can knock off Alabama and Auburn on your way out to the end of the regular season. And Shannon, we know how this fan base is, man. They go on a four-game win streak. We're all back on board.

We're all like thinking, man, this team can go to the last. the final four. Let's go. So, I mean, nobody in my opinion should be not on board right now. Like, why would you not be? I mean, I know that they've hit a tough stretch here losing four out of five, but there's still a lot of basketball to be played. And we've seen, you know, a lot of quad one wins. You still got plenty of them coming up. You got Tennessee. You've got Auburn. Missouri's going to be tough. So there's, I think there's still a lot of wins left to be had. Now, you could, things could also go sideways quickly, too. So you got to make sure. sure you take care of business on Saturday, but I'm still very optimistic on how this season's

going to end. I've seen people saying they would trade with Arkansas or their one game behind this. Come on. Kentucky's the four seed in the bracketology right now. Still a four seed in bracketology. Arkansas is on the bubble. I mean, those wins in December, I know it was a while ago when I just said this, we're going the wrong way.

Those wins have Kentucky still a very good standing for the tournament. But you've got to win Saturday. You can't let South Carolina come here and beat you. Different conversation if you lose to South Carolina. And then if Tennessee comes in and you'd be. beat them and you sweep the series with Tennessee, then you're right. Now you've got Vanderbilt right after that. You should go on a streak where you can maybe start playing some good basketball.

If you beat South Carolina and then Tennessee, beating Tennessee pulls them down. You could start dreaming dreams of getting back to the double by because you could take Tennessee's spot. It could be Alabama, Auburn, Florida, and you. You'd still need to win a lot of games moving forward. But having two against Tennessee would be big for SEC seating. Is it just our always our high expectations, Shannon? and we expect to win every game, not even taking into consideration how strong the SEC is this year. I mean, come on, Kentucky fans are the most fickle fan base on the planet, right?

I mean, we have the greatest fan base, but also you lose a few games. And I mean, you start reading ridiculous tweets, which I was talking about on the pre-show the other day, like Twitter's not real life. But you see all these, you know, takes that people have on Twitter going, okay, you know, we're going to give Pope one more year. But if he doesn't start winning games like he should, then he's got to go. I'm like, we're already talking about that, you know. Now, this is, again, not the majority of the fan base, just a few idiots on Twitter.

It just goes to show you that, you know, we have those type of fans in our fan base. I had a moment yesterday where I was reminded of this. I was sitting at Chick-fil-A drive-thru, waiting on my food, looking at my phone of people telling me I suck and, you know, all this. Bebeian's dad for something I said about Reed Shepherd. And it's just like, my goodness, this is awful. And the guy hands me on food. He's like, hey, man, I really like you guys on KSR. I listen every day.

And I thought, all right, there's a human being in life that I've made. contact with who said something nice and I have all these anonymous people that I will never see or never care about saying awful things. It's just a reminder that that app is full of filth and your real life is what you should pay more attention to. Exactly. Everybody gets, I'm included. We get so emotional over how some 20, 21, 22 year olds play basketball on a Saturday afternoon. It dictates how we feel the rest of the week. But then it's so easy now just to grab your phone, you know, and send that to everybody. You need to make. You need to take a deep breath. Think twice. I went on a drive after Arkansas beat us the other night.

What did you drive to? You keep saying you went on a drive. I was at Yoga Girls' house. I went to yoga girls' house to my house. I was going to guess maybe Waffle House. You know, Waffle House is increasing their egg prices. I saw that. Yeah, because of the bird flu and the cost of eggs. So now Waffle House is going to increase their prices a little bit. We need more roosters, right, Ryan, to get those eggs going. Be more roosters to make more eggs. Okay. Now I'm going to give you some couple other stats where we're talking about Coach Pope. What is Coach Pope's record right now? Four and five in the SEC. Four and five? Okay. Do you know what Nate Oates record was his first year in the SEC? What's that? Eight and ten.

It's not good. You know what Danny Hurley's first record was? Oh, they were not good his first year. Six and twelve. Todd Golden, nine and nine, and then Ulsterberger, the coach at Iowa State, seven and eleven. These are probably the four of the top coaches in college basketball right now in the conversation. And they all struggled their first year in their conference. And they didn't have this conference either. That's true. Historically one of the best conferences ever. Do you take any consolation in that?

Absolutely. I'd take consolation in that. I'd take consolation and this team was put together in like four weeks. I mean, everything left. The schedule's unreal, not just the SEC schedule. That was a hard non-conference that they played really well. So, yeah, I mean, I'm not that upset. I'm mad about Tuesday and Saturday.

The big picture I'm still all right with, so long as it doesn't keep trending like Tuesday and last Saturday. Shannon? Yeah, I mean, this is the toughest conference I've ever seen in my life. I mean, Ryan, you've seen a few more years of college basketball than me. Can you even remember going even farther back? The SEC being like this, this strong? Not the SEC.

There were some years where the SEC were lucky to get three teams in the NCAA tournament. four, three or 14. Now we're going to talk to 12 or 13. Yeah, 12 or 13. And, you know, if you go to 500, I think even if you go, what, 8 and 10, I think there's a good, you're in the tournament still. I think there's a good chance you're still in the tournament. So that just goes to show you the strength of the conference. And, you know, I think Mark Pope has done a great job so far. You know, throwing all, like you just said, throwing the team together as quickly as they did going in and playing in this conference. You look at Louisville. We were talking about them on the pre-show, earlier.

You know, by saying that they're a good team. They're 0 and 4 against the SEC. So just showed you. It's a tough schedule. It's really remarkable, I think, what he's done. The last Bracketology has 13 SEC teams already in and one on the bubble. So potentially 14. 14 out of 16 teams.

That's insane. It really is. So people like to point to the Big East in 85 when they had three teams make the final four. Who was it? Georgetown, St. John's, and somebody. I wasn't born yet, so that's going to have to be... We played it at Rupp Arena. I know it happened, but I can't name all the teams.

It was Villanova, Georgetown, and St. John's. And they played it at Rupp Arena. Everybody pointed that was the toughest conference ever. This one, I think, may surpass it. This has just been unbelievable. I do think moving forward from this year, Pope will have to... Again, maybe he didn't... What enable this time?

But a little more priority on some guys that can defend. I know Butler and Amari Williams were two that he thought he'd have. Butler being out right now. hurts him and just, you know, he's not going to make any staff changes, but someone needs to go all in on defense, a defensive-minded guy. Mark Fox is over there. I know Georgia wasn't great when he was there, but they were considered a defensive team. I think he had him like top 40 or 50 several of his years. So I know Pope loves his offense, but someone next season, players

and philosophy, needs to be a little more focused on the defense. Well, it's crazy, Shannon. He's mentioned Amari Williams, Lamont Butler, and Otega Alley. They were conference, defensive players. of the year. And yet our other guys, Jackson, Kobe, Ansley, Carr, will never make an all-defensive team. That's what's kind of crazy about it. And he might just need some athletes. I don't even get a football player. Someone that will see a loose ball and run through somebody to go get it. They're missing that too. Well, they better get it. They need a lance wearer to just come in and start bodying people. Well, who is, they don't have a guy like right there. They need an enforcer. Amari

would be the only one. And I don't think he's going to do that. He's got to start getting more minutes. I mean, here we are. We're in February. He doesn't need to just play 22, 23 minutes. He's in condition of him. He needs to play 30 minutes a game. Yeah, the drop-off is just so big there. I know Garrison's flash some things. He's at some threes. He'll be here long term and we'll turn into something good. But Amari is just much farther along than him right now. How about this one? If Kentucky does not see Arkansas in the tournament or lose to them, he thinks Cal retires because he'll never have. the chance to lose to us ever again. Cal retires after this season just because he beat us. No. Here's one. I think Amari Williams is about to go off. Again?

He's, he just got a triple double. About to. So, 859-2802-287. And our friend Andy said he thinks Kobe Bray is going to have a game with eight threes. I would like that. I would like that very much. That's going to be a win. I don't think Cal will be at Arkansas too long.

I never thought that. But I don't think he's petty enough to just retire because he's one and up. One and done. Yeah. It's not that much of an emphasis on that game. So Billy R. Sports is walking around. Billy, do you have a hot take to add to this? Yeah, what's up, guys? It has to do with my funky rooster brethren Travis Perry. I think there's one game this year that Travis really matters. Like, I don't know if it's 10, 15 points, if it's 6, 7 assists.

There's one game coming up where Travis Perry really makes a difference in a game. I like that. He looks good against Ole Miss. I even said that's part of the problem that Travis Perry looks like the best. player right now. His shooting, he's definitely got the confidence back, but he still made a couple bad turnovers. He did. You know, that's the thing. You can get some good minutes out of him because the way he's shooting the basketball now, but he still made a couple bad turnovers. He did, but he hit his open three. He got a couple rebounds, had the team's only block shot. I mean, you tell me you're getting that out of Travis Perry. I'll take it. All right, 859-2802-287. go ahead, Sam. Hey, guys. Thanks for taking my call. I was having conversation with a buddy yesterday that I'm excited for the TBT to come back around, and no, I'm not giving up on this regular season. But I'm excited for the TBT to come back, and I'm interested to see, I guess, from the Cal era, what kind of players would you like to see on the TBT that maybe weren't on it last year? I know Willie said he's coming back. My take was Duran Lamb, so I'm sure Drew would like that, but I'm interested to see what you guys think. I appreciate Sam.

Drew, he nailed your two favorites. Willie and Duran, that's what he wants on the TBT team. Well, don't forget my other favorite, DeMarcus. Yes. You know, he's just floating around whatever international team wants him right now. He's just bouncing contracts, contract. He's still out there playing. You bring Wall and Cousins back on that TBT team, and they might fill Rupp Arena.

Can you imagine? And that's not a crazy thought that could happen. Now, Wall's still in good shape. He was trying to make an NBA comeback not too long ago. And the guys that were on the team last year, they enjoyed it so much. They're going to tell everybody, hey, man, this is a lot of fun. We played good basketball. crowds were great.

That could entice somebody like while our cousins don't want to play next year because Bledsoe was on that team. Bledsoe obviously was here with those guys. Bledso, a year removed from playing for the Clippers. Like 20 minutes a game went and played for that team. The problem with the Cal era is so many of the good ones and the favorites

are still in the NBA, and they're not going to, you know, Devin Booker is not going to spend a summer in Lexington playing for TBT, so you've got to go pretty far back. But it's been 15, 16 years for some of those guys, so then it gets to the point, well, how many of the ones that aren't the NBA are still in shape. But Wall and Cousins and Lamb

headline that list for me. Are there any recent guys that are not in the NBA that you'd like to see play on the TBT team? They like to get some young guys. Yeah, I'd like to have Nate back. He was a lot of fun last year. I didn't realize how much Nate hated

Louisville until I think he broke both wrists just so he could keep his L's down the whole time he was in that city. I enjoyed him. I don't know. Really, the three I named were the ones I'm one. I like the ones they had. Yeah, me too.

You know, you can't have 30 people. Let's just run it back, add Wall Cousins' Lamb. Marcus TIG. He was supposed to play last year and ended up playing in the big three instead with Briscoe and his brother. Maybe he'll reconsider TBT this time. 859-2802-287. Who's next, Shannon?

Gary in Orlando. Gary in Orlando. How are you, Gary? I'm doing great. I'll try to do it better than I did last week. I think last week I don't know what, but I guess it was. It was one of them deals where I was on my pills. I took my pills out of sequence or something.

But anyway, here's my take on it. I'm just going to ask that everybody relax. We don't have a coaching problem right now. We have a personnel problem. And one thing I like that he's doing, and it's been a rough stretch, but a lot of these guys, six through ten, are getting some playing time. And we've been in the middle of the season where we hit the wall. We had some guys get hurt.

And I'm hoping that when the SEC tournament comes around, everybody's well, and then we get to the big dance. And I think when we get to the big dance, we're not going to play anybody in the first or second round that could compete in the SEC. So that could maybe put us into the, you know, how far we need to take it this first year to keep everybody smiling again. So I'll ask your take on that.

And, Drew, I'm thinking about changing my name to Jim. I messed up last week. is Gary in Orlando and I know you like calling me Jim so thinking about changing it. Thank you Gary. Thank you, Gary. I think they moved. It used to be to BW3. now they've moved it, I think, somewhere. But there's still people that gather down there to watch the Kentucky game because of Gary puts together. My hot take, Billy Arr kind of almost stole my thunder, I think Travis Perry will probably have at least a double-digit scoring, maybe 10 points or so before the season's over. and I know you all already done the Super Bowl picks, but why didn't Matt Jones pick the Browns? Thank you.

I appreciate the phone call. Yeah. This is what I was kind of think. wrong with our offense this year. When Mark Polt was a BW, his big man, kind of like Marri Williams is doing, always kind of distributed the ball at top of the key.

But years past, their big man could shoot the three-pointer. Well, Marty Williams can't shoot the three-pointers and that leaves as the guy defended him, which is a big guy, uh, in the paint. They can pick up any kind of cutter that comes in.

So I, I just feel like if Marry Williams, which I really love, could shoot the three pointers, it would open up the offense a lot more. And that's all I got to say. All right. Thank you.

You know, they do, Amari kind of initiates the offense. It's kind of been that way all year. And at least he's gotten away from trying to, from the top of the key, somebody down and will lose the handle the ball, somebody steal it from him. They've got him quit doing that. But I mean, the dude had what, 10, 11 assists the other night.

He can still, he's one of the best passing big man in the game right now. Yeah, and so the caller's point, Pope did have more of a shooter at center last year that still ran that high point, high post offense. He might go back to that moving forward. I don't know. I almost wonder if he knew jumping up in a level of competition, like I got to get some

defense because Mario was one of the first guys he went out and got three-time player of the year. so he sacrificed a better defender instead of an outside shooter because they had that Khalifa guy last year who couldn't guard much, but would step out, make a couple of threes game for him. I liked what Pope said a couple weeks ago, that Amari is learning how to play in the SEC. When he was playing at Drexel, he was the biggest guy on the field, on the court,

so he would get called for fouls just if he was breathing on somebody. Well, now he can go bang and knock people around and get away with it and not get a foul called on him. He's learned how to play that way. Yeah, I said this yesterday. It's almost like in the last two games, even though they're both losses, at least Amari, I feel like he looked around. I know Kentucky was better in the second half, but none of us thought they'd come back and win. So down the final stretch, I'm just yelling for him to get that last assist. Then he hit O'A on a back door with like 50 seconds left to get it. So even though the game sucked overall, at least had a little fun watching Amari become the fourth ever to do that.

You could tell in the TV broadcast, Jimmy Dykes got excited. As soon as he hit it, he's like, is that an assist? Is that one? They're going to count that? That's true. You know, you can tell he was getting excited just to witness it. That's something you just don't see all the time, especially at the college level. Yeah, right before that, Amari had passed it to Oway for an open three, and he missed it, and it started thinking, oh, it's not going to happen. Then he got him in that last minute.

Still one and a half, Chiefs over the Eagles. See, my thought process was, this is old hat for the Chiefs. This would be the third year in a row they could win. at three-peat. But the Eagles, the last time they were there two years ago, they lost. So they've been chomping at the bit, fighting, mad, hungry to get back. So that's why I'm going to think I'm going to bet on the Eagles in this game. Leaning Eagles? I see a lot of people that like the Eagles also do Sequin two touchdowns. I haven't committed to Eagles or Chiefs yet, but if I were doing Eagles, I would also consider Seaquin two touchdowns because if they're

going to beat the Chiefs, he's going to have a huge game. Draft Kings did have a prop bet this week. 35, it was like a 300 super boost. super boost. Sequin, 35 yards in the first quarter. I took it. Wow. Yeah. I took that.

35 yards to the first quarter. I think they did that like on Monday or Tuesday. Try to get people sucked in and start betting on the Super Bowl and things. My Tennessee Titans parlay is 15 to 1. DeAndre Hopkins and A.J. Brown to score touchdown. You know, that's probably going to happen. It's the only bet I've made so far. Yeah.

Well, the reason I want to talk about Super Bowl, there is a Lexington connection. Oh, yeah? The backup quarterback for the Chiefs is Carson. Wins. Carson Wince married a Lexington lady, Madison Oberg, from Dunbar High School, got engaged at the castle. Yeah. There might be some other people that got engaged at the castle.

He copied off me. He did copy off you. Even though his was first, I'm taking, I did that first. Well, Carson Wins spends a lot of time in Lexington during the offseason with his wife's family. Hunts, they hunt, I think it's out in Woodford County. They go out hunting out there. He likes to, he's a big outdoors guy.

He worked out at Woodford County High School with Dane and Josiah and a couple of other kids or local kids around here during the offseason last year. So there is a Lexington connection that if you're looking for somebody to pull for, it would be Carson Wins and the Chiefs. So you're going against the Lexington connection by picking the Eagles? Well, you know what? Carson Wins was one-time quarterback of the Philadelphia Eagles. He was, uh-huh, yeah, I just thought about that.

Don't forget, you got Dary and Kinnard on the Eagles as well. Yeah, he went from Chiefs to Eagles. I totally forgot about him. Yeah, so there's a UK connection and an Lexington connection in Super Bowl. So if there's one go-to pick you think you're going to make, a bet that you would recommend, what would it be? I've been looking at Mahomes rushing yards, because in big games in the playoffs, he takes off a little more than he normally does.

You could get, it's in the low 30s. I'm trying to pull it up now. I lean that direction, Mahomes running, rushing. Shane, what about you? Whatever the over-under on touchdowns for Barclay, probably take the over. I don't know what it is right now on draftings. I'd have to look it up.

Here's mine. Shortest touchdown run. The over-under's one and a half. The Eagles, if they get down there, they're doing the tush push. Tush-push. I think under one and a half is a great bet because of the tush push. And Sequin's been stopped on the one a lot this year, too. I think you have to be more touchdowns because giving them off to the tush-push.

The Sequin two touchdowns is three to one. Three to one. To answer your question, Shannon. Okay, there we go. It's not really worth betting on Sequin to get one. The odds are crap on that. So if it's two plus, I feel good about that. He might get that in the first half.

There's also, I don't think this is on our friends at Draft Kings, but just for entertainment purposes, I saw online, they set the Taylor Swift TV appearances at 11.5. Oh, my. That's a lot. You know, like when they do the college football national championship on ESPN, if they have like different various cameras and stuff, you know, like on different channels, like an ESPNU,

if they just had a channel that only showed Taylor Swift, that might pull better ratings than the game itself. You may be right. I'm just saying all the Taylor Swift fans, they'd all be watching that, yeah. Just watch her all game long. She's also an Eagles fan. We got a lot of these people with connections each side.

She grew up an Eagles fan. Oh, huge Eagles fan. Really? She knew Andy Reed when he was the coach of the Eagles. Wow. So there you go. So Darian Kennard, Carson, Witts, Taylor Swift.

Mountain West conference or something or whatever that aren't used to the physicality of an SEC team how they play yeah I don't know what's expected and I haven't been able to watch many of the other SEC games this year. I know it Tuesday night, Ole Miss was at Chris Beard defense. Get up in your grill. They're getting away with a lot of arm bars

that was really set in Kentucky back. That's a big part of the reason why Kentucky couldn't get in its offense. Well, so many teams in the SEC are playing that way. Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Auburn, Alabama, they all play that way and that's what's bothering Kentucky a lot of time. Texas A&M. We're in this problem because of Texas A&M going to Lexington and playing football.

That's when Butler injured is everything in that game. That's true. So this funk, we can blame on Buzz Williams. style of basketball he brought to Lexington because that's what did Butler in. So Ed was asking for a Butler update. We talked about it in the first hour. There's really nothing official. Billy had a little scuttle butt he thought maybe next week.

Even if he just plays a couple minutes, just getting him back on the floor, I think will be a lift. Yeah, I have Pope's quote from last night. It's not our opinion, just straight from the source. He says, I don't know. Right now we have to figure this out with the guys we have. That's the job. We have to figure this out with the guys we have. He said, Butler is making progress.

Well, I think that showed when he was at least in the... It's a complicated situation. The pregame shoot around, and he's running a little bit trying to get his conditioning back. They threw it over to Williams immediately, and somebody cut for the basket.

He threw it to them, and there was the – I have to think that Pope knew that, and he called that play for Williams just so he could get that last assist. If so, I think that's a pretty good – I appreciate the phone call. It's possible. That's very highly possible. I can see Mark Pope doing that,

and just wanted to give Amari a chance to get that triple-double. Yeah, and I agree with it. It looked perfect, and it was with 50 seconds left in the game. Yeah. I didn't realize that part about Pope had gotten a whisper, but I knew it was in Amari's brain because he had been looking for a shooter at last minute or two. Well, if you remember when Isaiah Briscoe got his triple double, Derek Willis kind of gave up so Isaiah could get the last rebound he needed.

So even the players knew about it at that time. He intentionally missed a free throw, didn't he? Is that what it was? I think he clinked to Brisco's side. Yeah. That's right. That's what it was. teammate of the year by Derek Willis.

So even the teammates knew that he was closing in on it. So you've got to wonder, I'm sure the coaching staff probably, somebody did probably tell him, hey, he needs one more assist for a triple double. Yeah, sometimes you hear these players, if they break a record or something, be like, oh, I had no idea. But I bet in most cases it gets relayed to them

or they look up and notice it. I don't know. I'm not out there. But I feel like a Jody Meeks game, I believe he said he didn't even know how close he was. I think coaches at that point, If you're looking for something like a triple double or a truly huge milestone, there's got to be a little whispering going on.

Like, see what he's doing over here? Let's try to get that done. The coaching staffs monitor absolutely everything on the bench. I mean everything. Minutes played, fouls, timeout. I mean, so you know they're monitoring that. They knew that. It's probably passed it along.

If you go to Twitter or X, whatever you call it, Drew has put out the video of Derek Willis on purpose missing the free throw to the side. Briscoe was on so Briscoe could get the rebound. It's brilliant. It's genius. It's even better than I remember. Me too. You can see him flick his wrist in his shooting motion to spin it, put a little English on it to the left, and it ricochets out towards Briscoe who catches it.

Here's his triple double. And then I found the quote after the game. Briscoe said, Derek looked at him and said, you need one more rebound? And he said, I got you. Well, you can tell it when he's at the free throw line and he bounce, he kind of gives a little side eye to Briscoe just to make sure you, you know, size it up. What do I need to do here? And he shoots the free throw, and it's perfect.

hits on the little corner the elbow and kicks out right where briscoe can get his 10th rebound. Another thing I noticed is Kentucky's up on Ole Miss, 94 to 69 in Oxford, which is why he was able to do that. That looks like a happier trip to Mississippi there. It's crazy that the triple double, the last two we've got are both been in Oxford, Mississippi. Dan Isle, that's what his scoring record was in Oxford, Mississippi. Somebody pointed out to me this week, so a lot of historic things happen down there. When you get back to having fun there. Need to have fun down there.

And after the results of Tuesday, Kentucky, basketball and football is full. 54 and 1 when my son takes a nap during any point of a Kentucky game. Well, we know the secret. You just made it possible.

Yeah, so I'm obviously going to have to sit down with him maybe by clipboard to make an example. But we'll have him locked up and ready for the next one. Appreciate it. Yeah, if it works, do it, Drew, especially going to March Madness. You want to do everything you can to help. Sounds like a new tradition forming of him giving his kid a melatonin at tipoff Why not? fourth, but this is a year at AJ Devonza that's number one. He'd be number one any year. I mean, that's a generational guy. So in some years, who knows, maybe Nate would be the number one player overall. Pope could shut up a lot of people on recruiting if he could get him. I did see where Jasper Johnson was named to the Iverson, what they called the Iverson Classic, Iverson All-Star Game. We didn't mention it, but it looked like he had a, I wasn't able to go, but the Woodford County reunion on Sunday where he brought overtime elite there. I saw the highlights.

Jack, Zach and the crew were there, read their stories. It looked like a fun time out there at the new school. I think he had 31 points. And last year at the game, he had like 35 points. So I think he likes playing in the Woodford County old gym over there. I'd say so. And Malikow was there to see him. Pope, some of the players,

looked like a fun event after a little bit of a hangover after that Arkansas game last Sunday. But it was good seeing him back in Kentucky. I did want to mention before we get out, Shannon. You know, right now he's our point guard. He's really a small forward. I just think he's a guy that just has been, he plays better when he's more involved with the offense with the ball on his hands. I think he's kind of shown that. Yeah, offensively he's turned it on, but his defense needs to get turned on also. He seems to a regress there. I don't know if it's because he's focusing more on being the point guard and running the show while Butler's been out. But he's

been pretty bad in that department, but it was cool to be seen named as the finalist for the Award. Yeah, I thought so too. The Dr. J. Award, I think. Is that what it is called, the Dr. J. Award?
