It's going to be a beautiful day today.

But today is beautiful.
before, well, let me just do. Clark's Pubbit Shop phone lines 859-280-2-827. A-Visian Autoglass Text Machine, 7-72-7-4.
This edition is sponsored by the T.J. Smith Law Office, you call T.J. I'll make them pay. As we started the show here, I was saying that I felt like you are not giving me enough credit for the joke I made yesterday. I've had it in my holster for almost a year, waiting for a due Thierro to go to the draft.
so I could say that now that the arrow has gone to the draft, Arkansas had to bid him a do.
And I thought that's a great joke.
And Shannon goes, you like puns.
That's a great joke.
I'll give it a five out of ten.
It doesn't completely just bomb.
It gets a little bit of a laugh.
I mean, if you had responded, because you tend to respond to my puns with other puns,
I was then going to come and say,
ark and say, Arkin saw their future is not as bright.
See, it was going to be good.
These were just going to be a whole thing.
I'll let you down.
A big opportunity there.
We could have a good pun thread.
Shannon, you did like it.
I had the best point before you.
I mean, I said if Ryan had made that point or made that joke, you would crush it.
There are certain things on this show that if, like, we say it, we get crushed by you, but then you say it and you think it's okay.
First of all, that's outrageous.
And I think you, I'm going to channel Donald Trump.
You are a bad person for saying that to me.
No, it's true.
No, but when Ryan does it, though, his jokes are sexual and creepy.
That's what makes it different when he does it.
Mine is just a pun.
I like it.
I don't know.
That sounds like something Ryan Lemmel would say.
Okay, well, as you can hear, Mario is on with us today.
Ryan is at graduation as we speak.
Josiah is about to graduate from high school.
I'm sure he is just mere minutes drew away from babbling his eyes out crying.
and so hopefully he's having a good day.
I bet he woke up crying, actually.
I saw photos, had a lot of family in.
Looks like they went to the Legends game last night.
I bet Ryan's been crying for 24 hours.
I saw we all made it.
Traffic.
I went all the way around New Circle.
I went to the complete opposite side of town to not even get near downtown,
but did you have any trouble living?
I went outside my house to get in my car and drive away,
and there were two kids smoking in my driveway.
That's how I knew graduation was coming.
First of all, I didn't know that that's...
graduates?
They didn't have robes.
It looked like to me maybe siblings of people going to graduation.
And Shannon, they were just blatantly sitting in my driveway smoking about to walk to graduation.
That sounds about right for the Highlands.
That's what I would expect.
No, this is the Highlands.
This is Lexington.
This is up with my Lexington place right next to Rob.
Oh, okay.
They're just sitting there just puffing on a cigarette, you know.
Hey.
And then they acted like when I got in the car that I was bothering them.
They're like, hey, smile.
What are you doing?
I'm out here smoking.
Like, can you give a man some privacy?
I got a Cid.
If you can't smoke at a.m., where can you smoke?
Where can you smoke?
So anyway, do you remember your graduation?
Not at all.
I remember my high school and I didn't attend my college one, but my graduation one was fun.
Yes.
What about you?
Did you win any awards?
Were you valedictorian?
I was definitely not valedictorian.
But, yeah, I remember it.
It was cool.
It went by pretty fast.
I expected to go by that fast, but it was cool.
We at my high school graduation, for whatever reason, we voted on the class song.
Did you all have a class song?
Shannon, did you have a class song?
Like a prom song, but not a class song.
We had a class song that people thought best exemplified the class.
There's zero chance Mario knows the song.
Shannon, you might.
David Ball, when the thought of you catches up with me.
Do you know that song?
I'd have to hear that one.
I don't know if I'm like it.
You can play at the next segment, but one of my classmates at graduation got a guitar and sang it.
And he's a nice guy, but it wasn't the best rendition.
And you know how when somebody's singing slow and it's not going really well, you still have to sit there and take it.
So every time I hear that song, I think of him.
It's about someone like breaking up and dying.
I didn't feel like it was a great.
A great class song.
And, you know, the class has gone from there.
I've been very happy.
I had some, we'll just say minor attendance issues my senior year,
and I had so many hours to make up to graduate.
The day before graduation, I worked a full shift with the custodians.
I cleaned out all the lockers.
I put out the chairs.
They made you work a full shit.
Yeah, it was like mathematically impossible for me to go to after school makeup hours.
So I literally was a-to-make-up.
So you're a perfect example of how kids, if you are graduating today,
if you've been a failure, don't worry.
Because you didn't go to class in high school.
You failed okay grade.
You failed English 101.
How many times?
Twice.
So you took it three times?
I don't call it failing.
I just call it wanting more English 101 before I moved on to 102.
I'd missed a few things.
Semicolon, still not real sure how those work?
Yeah, nobody is.
Nobody's sure.
And you turned out a writer, so I think it worked out okay.
Yes, you ended up being a writer.
So it just goes to show, follow your dreams.
My mom saw the professor that failed me in Kroger one day,
and he asked what I do for a living, and she said that,
and she said he almost passed out.
I couldn't believe it.
That's great.
Everybody has time to figure it out.
It's going to be an Ask Anything Thursday with us.
You know, if you listened back in the day to the Fade This podcast
or you listened to episode four of the new Matt Jones show interrupted by Matt Jones.
You know that it gets a little off the rails a little bit when it's me and Drew.
And Mario's joining us here.
The big news today, Otego Away, back at Kentucky, made his decision.
Came out, didn't make us wait all night.
Came out about 5 o'clock yesterday.
Returning, he had a video.
Kind of interestingly, the video was in his old haircut,
which he hasn't had for about a month,
which makes me think he made that video.
Well, I don't know what that makes everyone think,
but he's back, so let's start with him being back.
It's obviously huge news.
In terms of returning, it's one of the biggest players to return.
How excited are you that he's back?
Very excited.
I never thought otherwise that he'd go somewhere else,
but it was still exciting to see the video he put out,
the fan's response.
I was ready to put it behind us and move on.
As you said, he didn't wait until midnight.
You know, with the website, we're sitting there constantly waiting,
talking about on the board.
I'm glad he got it out of the way while it was still daylight,
but it's huge peace, and now we have the complete team.
And when you just, like, there's some graphics out there
that show the entire 14-man roster.
It is just crazy deep what Mark Pope built.
And I love you got a little bit of everything,
and you especially upgraded the defense.
but with O.A. coming back, it just puts the final stamp on what I think will be a Final Four contender.
They're loaded, Mark.
Yeah, they're loaded. They're loaded.
Drew said it, Final Four contender. I believe it.
I honestly believe that they have a chance to make the Final Four.
And like I said, you saw what Mark Pope did with the group last year.
A lot more talented this year.
Last year, the best player got injured Jackson Robinson in the tournament.
Now you have Otega O.A., you got Jasper Johnson.
You got Jalen Lowe, who's expected to have a big year.
I think Jaden Quaitens might take some time for him to come back,
but you still have a loaded roster.
You can't forget about Colin Chandler.
He's not.
He's not.
He ain't talked about a lot.
And then you get Denzel Aberdeen and Mohamed Diabante.
And then you get Brandon Garrison, we haven't even mentioned yet, right?
You get all those guys.
And this is now, I think Drew, will be expectations.
I mean, I think, you know, Mark Pope in year one, it was really kind of like,
well, let's see what has.
happens. We have no idea. I think they probably outperformed what people thought would happen in the
non-conference, maybe, maybe slightly underperformed in the conference, but then kind of got to where we
hope thought they'd be in the tournament. So it ended up, I think, being a very positive year. He'll go
into this year, though, with expectations. Yeah, like he said his formula will be to retain players,
hit the portal, and get a few talented freshmen. He nailed that with retaining Garrison.
Chandler, Noah, and now Owey, and then, of course, we know what he did with the freshman of the transfer.
So I love that he had that plan that he said when he first got here.
And in his first full offseason of building a team, he nailed exactly what he wanted to do.
Yeah, I mean, he returned four guys.
He brings in four new high school players or new players in terms of Jasper Johnson, Malachi, the Hathorn,
and then the guy from Croatia has not been in college basketball either.
So I'm going to take him as a new guy.
So 4, 4, and then 6 transfers.
You know, I kind of think that that is kind of the recipe for college basketball now.
You know, that mix.
You got some veterans.
You got some freshmen, yeah.
Because you have, think about it, like, going beyond this year.
You have two guys in Noah and Chandler, Noah and Chandler, that might go another year, right?
These freshmen, I still think there's a world.
Jasper Johnson's a one and done, but then there's a world where he's back.
So those four guys you could conceivably get back.
And then the six transfers are probably all gone.
I guess there's a world where Jaden Quaintens, probably not, though.
He's probably gone.
And so you keep some stability, but then you bring in guys who can help you on a one-year basis.
I love it.
That's, I think, how you've got to build a program.
I like their weakness that he kind of learned on the fly was just how tough the SEC is.
And then some of his transfers, you got one from Florida.
that's known as a defender, and then Diabate, who shut away down to two points.
He's got toughness.
Yeah, he went out and checked those boxes, too.
Right, so you, Mario, you're one of the, you, like, end up knowing all the players.
Like, I mean, Mario's already, like, texting them.
They're playing 2K last night.
They're, like, going to the, getting haircuts and all this.
So, like, now that you know all of them, I'm sure you know, like, what are you most excited about?
Jasper Johnson.
I'm probably the biggest.
Yeah, so you are much more into Jasper Johnson than I think the average fan.
brings him up. Why is that? I just think his qualities, man. He has a game where it can help Kentucky,
number one, and then he has a game that can translate to the NBA. I mean, he can, when the
plays broken, Jasper Johnson is a player that can can do that in college. Do you think he can do that in
college? You think he can do that? We've seen it with Rob Dillingham. We were a little bit,
I know I was a little skeptical of Rob Dillingham when he got first. I was wondering, I was like,
is he going to be able to do that at the college level? And we saw what he could do. And I think
Jasper Johnson, I've been the one person,
that I think by SEC play Jasper Johnson starts. Do you agree with me?
Depends on the team. You're supposed to be on my side here. You were supposed to be the one person.
He can. I'm not going to say he has the talent. Yeah, I can definitely see him starting. I don't know. It's too early now to see to say. That's a right.
Well, I mean, he could or then he could. I let these guys come and compete. You know, everybody's going to have an opportunity to start. You got Colin Chandler. He may start.
Who knows?
That's a good thing about having a deep roster.
So who would you, if we went to Vegas, Drew, and we said, okay, guaranteed to start.
O.A. guaranteed to start, right?
Mm-hmm.
No way he doesn't stop.
No way.
Jalen Lowe, guaranteed to start.
Absolutely locked in.
Is Brandon Garrison guaranteed to start?
In November.
I think that can change over time, but I don't believe that Quaitons is going to be ready day one.
He could be, but I see.
Quaitons is more stepping in a little bit behind.
So you feel like we have three spots locked and loaded.
Barring a miraculous Quatens.
And then you're basically looking at, depending on whether you think always a two or three,
I think he's more of a three, but whatever you want to put him out.
The other spot of that.
Those two other spots.
And then the four, I think those are the spots.
And the leader in the clubhouse at the four, Diabate.
And the leader in the clubhouse at the two or three, maybe Aberdeen, maybe Johnson,
and maybe even Chandler, depending on how it goes.
Is that how you look at it?
At the two, I lean Aberdeen, just because his experience,
I really think they'll all play similar minutes as the year goes on.
Pope's going to use that bench.
But I think Aberdeen will be in the starting five,
and Diabate having the starting five,
unless Yellovich just gets over here,
and he's just something they didn't expect, and he's even better.
What do you think he was?
He's such a mystery because he looked at Big Z's highlights in Croatia.
He looked awesome.
He got here, and he had his moments,
but he just couldn't guard and getting acquainted
into the game and just being over here, it took him a while.
I wonder if there will be a little bit of a slow getting you sick for him.
Do you think Z would have played better under Pope?
Oh, absolutely.
Pope would have had him at the top of the key, passing and shooting threes all the time.
This kid has accomplished more than Z has at this point.
Yeah, he plays better program.
He's farther ahead than Big Z.
Better score.
So, yeah.
Well, we'll see.
I'm excited about it.
He could be anything.
What about the fact that his video had hair that suggested he did it a month ago?
Pre-recorded.
I mean, obviously.
but what does that mean?
I think they made it just in case, you know, maybe a social media strategy,
you know, make this video just in case you decide to come back.
But the video is like, I have to be here, blah, blah, blah,
and he did it a month and a half ago, and maybe, you know.
I think all parties had a pretty good idea he'd be back.
And they're saying, let's go ahead and record one of these to have it in the chamber.
That way, because he's probably not coming straight back to Lexington from Brooklyn.
I don't know what he's got going on, but there's nothing to do here.
They probably said, let us have this on file.
Heck, he might even record it another version, too, just as the thing.
You think he did?
You also did the goodbye video at the same time?
No, I think he did just this video knowing that he was going to come back.
But he was smart, telling everybody that he's all in on the NBA draft process,
and then he knew he was going to come back and he had that video ready to go.
Well, he's going to be the fan favorite next year.
I mean, we started to see at the end of the year the away, away, away chance.
We're doing it next year, whether you all like it or not,
If I have to be the only one yelling it, I'll be on the court and they'll tell me to shut up.
It's good.
This is what we want.
We want some guys to come back.
It's also an example of what NIL has done to college basketball in a positive way.
I'm going to make a case in a little bit later that I think it has been immensely positive for college basketball.
I think yesterday was the perfect example of why.
But great news for Kentucky and exciting for the fans.
When I was in McCreary County yesterday, I said it and everybody gave a big ovation.
because they were excited about it.
It's Ask Anything Thursday.

I'm not saying we'll answer anything,
but you can ask anything,
and we will take a break and be right back.

what's up guys this is clivert taylor the fourth and on my podcast the clivert show i'm bringing
you conversations about all kinds of stuff like being an internet famous referee we're in the
middle of a game this linebacker this linebacker walks up to me he goes a ref my mom wants you
to wave at her what time out
Quarterback on office blue with 42.
Hey, Rhett, my mama want you to weigh better.
What?
Hey, Ms. Parker.
Listen to the Clifford show on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast.
Everyone, it's Ryder Strong and Will Ferdell from PodMeets World.
And now the Pod Meets Twirled podcast.
We're two men who were completely clueless to reality TV,
who now have covered Dancing with the Stars, Traders,
and were gearing up for the season finale of Survile.
So yeah, now we're experts.
I know we annoyed a lot of our listeners by our severe lack of survivor knowledge.
That is the point of the show.
I'm just going to remind you.
I have watched some survivor.
I obviously haven't watched enough.
Did people not like it?
Yeah.
Just because we?
Yeah.
We'll be recapping the big conclusion in the 50th season from the final attempts at gameplay
to the desperate pleas of finalists to a bunch of.
Ha, ha, ha, who.
Again, we are ex.

I actually drop better when I'm high.
It heightens my senses, calms me down.
If anything, I'm more careful.
Honestly, it just helps me focus.
That's probably what the driver who killed a four-year-old told himself.
And now he's in prison.
You see, no matter what you tell your son,
if you feel different, you drive different.
So if you're high, just don't drive.
Brought to you by NHTSA and the Ad Council.
They sang this at the graduation.
Oh, man.
How depressing.
It can happen on a Sunday drive.
That's how they.
I've always thought he sounds like he's like got his nose pitched, Shannon.
Don't you think?
Yeah, a little bit.
I mean, there weren't any other songs.
better than this one for your graduation. No, we voted.
Would you like to know what the two finalists were?
Yes. Yeah, of course.
I'm not, see, this is all you need to know about Middlesbrough High School. The two finalists,
which all the class had to vote on, was this or Astro Creep 3000?
That Rob Zombie's own.
And we voted and we voted for this. I'd like to have seen Astro Creep 3,000, however,
played at graduation. That would have been interesting. But a guy just sat there with a guitar and he sang this.
And it's really kind of depressing.
We're not going to lie to you.
What about vitamin C, graduation, the verb, freshman.
You know, there's some that are more themed towards graduation.
This is what we pick.
On the text machine, one person writes, Matt, David Ball looks a lot like Shannon.
Oh, yeah, that looks like everybody.
I'm going to look him up real quick.
To be honest with you, I can kind of see it if he look like David Ball.
He's an older version of Shannon.
But do you know what he looks like?
I'll have to look it up.
I don't have a freshen of mine.
What do you think, Mario?
Can you see it?
I see the older version.
Shannon with the cowboy hat?
Not that much, though.
I'm going to defend Shannon on this one.
I mean, I don't look like every white guy.
You look like every skinny white guy.
We have a Shannon look-alike in the bowling league.
Do you?
I almost talk to him.
Let me guess.
Skinny white guy.
Skinny white guy.
You look a little bit like Walton Goggins.
There's a lot of people.
That's a good-looking guy, so I think that as a compliment.
Speaking of our bowling league, Mario, your 102 average.
I played last night.
You're kind of bringing us down a little bit.
Sorry, man.
We got work on that 102 average.
I don't bowl often, man.
We noticed.
Yeah, that makes sense.
One person writes, Matt,
there's going to be a lot of dudes that don't get on the floor next year.
Who's going to be the person that's expecting the most playing time
that will end up getting less than they expected?
Well, that's a great question, but, you know, Pope plays a lot of guys.
I mean, you have to think Potter.
and Moreno and Haythorne have come here not thinking they're going to play a lot next year.
Would you agree with that?
100%.
I think Moreno, compared to what he thought when he committed,
to what's now in front of him, is probably a lot different.
But he seems okay with it.
I think he'll be a longer-term project.
I don't know.
I feel like all these dudes are going to play.
The one that I think has to really work to find his role is Noah,
because it's not obvious to me where he slots in.
but I think until Quaintance plays he's going to play
so then when Quaintance comes back
which I think is going to be in January
then he'll have to make sure he still
but I think he's going to have a chance to find his role
because I think he's going to play in November and December
quite a bit. I think from the guard
perspective it's going to be a challenge
like it's going to be a lot of these guys going to
have to compete for the guard
those guard practices
just imagine you're going
low in Aberdeen versus
you know Chandler and
Jasper Johnson every day.
Like that's going to be a battle every single day in practice, right?
Yeah, and I worry about at Forward, Noah, even if he makes a big jump, it's just so crowded
with talented guys.
I mean, maybe he steals some of their minutes, but I wonder how much of, just as far as
playing time goes, how much of a leap he'll get, because they're so crowded.
Ask anything Thursday, who's up first year?
Max.
Max, go ahead, Max.
Who's your favorite player who came in this all season?
who came in
yeah
well I assume you mean via transfer
I don't
I mean I don't know their personalities
but I think the player that was most important
is well I think Jalen Lowe is the key to the team
so I'm going to say Jailen Lowe's the key
I think though getting Mohamed Diabate is going to be a huge thing
that we just didn't give enough credit to in the moment
because I think he's going to be the kind of guy
Drew that can make your team take it to another level
Appreciate the call.
Yeah, when the question came up there, I was leaning him or if Quaintance hits his full potential, he can be special.
I was watching his highlight reel on Twitter last night from Arizona State, and he was just going coast to coast and dunking on people's heads.
I mean, if he gets to that form or even better coming off that injury, I think we're really looking at a top 10 pick.
Drew, speaking of Quattenance, I've seen this on social media.
I don't know if it's true, but Quattenance, they said that quaintance, his hands were bigger than Shacks.
I don't know if it's true.
I don't know if you got seen that.
Do you just believe whatever you see on social?
No, I mean, I see it.
I mean, did you see something that said he was eight feet tall?
No, no, no.
His hands, he was holding a ball, and I was like, maybe he does have bigger hands of Shaq.
Have you ever been next to Shaq?
I've never been to Shaq.
Like, I want you to think about the largest specimen you can think of.
Because the thing about Shaq is he's tall, but I've been around tall people.
But he is just so massive.
I mean, he's just everything about him is just massive.
If he has bigger hands in Shaq, then let's just go ahead and make him the top three pick in the draft.
Because Shaq is the largest human being I've ever been around in my life.
I was trying to look at anything that suggests Mario's right.
I'm not really finding it, but if Mario believes it, I'll believe it.
Shannon, what do you think about the guy from Kentucky, the whole crypto-kidnapping thing?
Have you been following that in New York?
No, a crypto-kidnapping.
So three guys apparently kidnapped.
Was it someone they knew?
I assume so.
Someone with a lot of Bitcoin.
Yeah, there was someone they knew, and they basically, allegedly,
kidnapped him and tortured him to try to get him to give them their Bitcoin password.
Because, you know, again, this is my whole thing about Bitcoin.
It just encourages, like, deviant behavior because, you know, all you need is the password,
and you can just take all their stuff, and there's nothing they can do.
So they kidnapped him.
But here's the crazy part.
One of the guys is from Kentucky.
and I'm told, again, this is allegedly,
has a house like in Livingston.
So like Livingston, what county's Livingston is?
It's on the interstate there, right?
It's in what?
It's in Livingston County.
That would make some sense.
Well, in Kentucky, we always do it backwards.
That's true.
We do it backwards.
So those of you listening in Livingston,
there was just a dude that lived in your town.
Crypto King or something like Kentucky.
The Kentucky, Kentucky.
who went to New York and was like torturing people.
And if you look at him, he just looks like a normal guy.
So he could have been at the Livingston Pickpack, right, one day.
And then he's crypto-torturing people the next day.
And they were doing awful stuff to the guy they'd kidnapped, trying to get it out of him.
I saw a new story that said they believe he was a UK graduate, too.
Oh, really?
Because the company he used to work for said, this is not the guy we knew when he worked for.
So this is just a UK graduate who lives in Livingston goes to the pick-pack?
And is torturing people?
I guess.
Maybe a little more to it, but that's a good way to summarize it.
Take a break.
T.J. Smith, personal injury attorney.
Call T.J. He'll make them pay.

859-2-80-2287.
You just showed me a picture of Jaden Quaidon's hands.
Those are pretty big.
I'm not going to lie to you.
I don't know if they're bigger than Shacks, but that's a big hand.
Look at it.
Basketball looks like a volleyball.
Look at.
I mean, basketball and volleyball.
All right.
And you said there's a big.
an article that says his hands are bigger than shacks?
This is a year old. It's about
his commitment to Arizona State, but it is
SI.com. You know, they used
to say that Rondo's hands were too
big to shoot free throws. Like, it
screwed up his free throws. Do you remember that?
I don't believe that. He does have gigantic hands.
I've heard he had really big. But I'm going to start
believing acquaintances are bigger in shacks now.
I've got Mario and s.i.com.
Livingston, Shannon, is in Rockcastle
County. Continuing the trend of Kentucky
having counties and cities that
are not the same. So there's a
Livingston County and a city of Livingston, but the city of Livingston, Shannon, is not in Livingston County.
I mean, why wouldn't you just move that over to the county?
Well, they'd be hard to move it.
But yes, I thought it was on I-75 on my way home.
There's an exit for Livingston.
We just changed the name.
It's changed the name of the place.
To what?
Whatever county?
What counties it in?
Rock Castle?
Change the Rock Castle.
I grew up with like double version of this.
Madisonville is not in Madison County, and it's Hopkins County, which doesn't
have Hopkinsville. We have several
examples of those. There's a ton of those around
the state. I drove through there past
Rock Castle County High School yesterday,
which has that big rocket out front.
Down to McCreary County,
I'll give McCreary County some credit. They got
nice facilities down there. New turf
field on their football field. They got tennis
courts that were a lot nicer than the ones
I played at at 30th Street
for the Middlesbrough High School tennis team.
So a big shout out to McCreery County.
They had Fetuccini Alfredo
last night. Oh, the local pasta.
Yeah, it was good. Ryan would love that.
It was very good.
It's Ryan's diet meal, right?
He made that the other night.
Yeah, Ryan said that he's on a diet and he's eating Pettuccini Alfredo, which is like literally
the worst thing, the worst thing that you can eat.
The Thunder make it to the NBA finals.
Last night, Shea, going to have a chance to go for a title, Kason Wallace as well.
Series ended up kind of stinking.
The Timberwolves laid an egg last night.
Are you excited to watch OKC in the finals?
I am. I wanted some closer games in the series, even though I was for the Thunder and just for entertainment.
Last night, when Minnesota had nine points in the first quarter, I didn't even bother watching the rest of the games.
Like, if you're going to score nine points in an elimination game, I'm not going to waste my time watching this.
My Canes played well. That was a good game last night. We lost this series by Steak-It-up Game 1 and 2.
So the season's over, finally broke the streak of never winning a game in the conference finals.
But bright future for Mikees. Did you watch any of it?
was exciting. It was a very exciting game. I catch the, uh, just the, the online clips. I know it was a
big deal to not get swept. So at least you got one. That's a bad side. We're like, oh, it's a big deal.
You made it. You made it to the conference finals. You know, a lot of, like, you people that don't
even, you people that are fans of the other teams, like the predators. You're like,
oh, Matt, you lost for a win. Well, you're not even there, right? Like, like, we at least made it.
You know what I mean? It's a good point. That is a good point. Thank you very much.
And then the Reds lost to Kansas City.
Listen to this stat.
What are you laughing at?
The Summer Valley, it's just a roller coaster.
It's like the Tesla stock.
It's just up and down and up and down.
The Reds are 0 and 22 this year when trailing going into the seventh inning.
We have not come back once all year, Shannon.
Isn't that terrible?
Why even waste time playing the eighth and the ninth?
Well, no, no, going into the seventh.
If we're losing after the sixth, go home.
Yeah.
Like, so last night we were losing after six, turn it off.
Well, see, that's good for you.
That's good for you who likes to beat traffic.
You know the outcome of the game by the sixth inning.
We haven't come back in one game this year.
Not one.
That's actually kind of pathetic.
It also seems like every time you're about to get above 500,
it's like, nope, we've got to stay just added or beneath it.
Because I think last night it would have put you a better.
I don't know.
Far be it from me to challenge the legend of Terry Francona.
But we're just, we seem to call up a new dude that's 5-8 every week.
Like we got some guy named Connor,
Joe, which sounds like a name they make up for you, MLB, 2026.
Creative player.
They just signed a dude who got cut by the Rockies.
The Rockies are like the worst team in the history of baseball,
and then we went and signed one of the guys and immediately started them.
Like, what is that?
I don't need to know anything about him if the Rockies didn't want him.
Here's a shot.
He's one for 19 since we called him up.
And you all thought, yeah, okay, we'll give him an opportunity here.
So that part's frustrating.
Ask anything Thursday who's up first?
Andy.
Or again, second, whatever.
Andy, go ahead, Andy.
Hey, what's up, guys?
Hey, Andy.
Last year was late May Jackson Robinson decision this year, oh, wait.
I think next year, Colin Chandler is going to be that guy.
He does agree.
He thinks of somebody else.
You know, I think the decision we'll have to see next year is does Connor Chandler,
I don't know that he'll be ready for the league?
I think the question will be like, does he want to go be the best player on another team
or come back?
but I'm big on Colin Chandler.
He, last year when he got to the point that he had to start playing,
that made, I believe in it.
He had showed a lot of glimpses last year.
He wasn't scared.
He was so scared at the beginning of the year.
But then as it went on, I thought he didn't back away, and he can play defense.
Athletic, can play defense, confident.
Like, you saw what he did in March Madness, Logo 3s.
He's got it.
He got star quality.
I do think he can do it.
I really do.
It got tiring hearing about how he was on his mission.
We're like, okay, we know.
But if you really think about that, to take two years off and go to El Salvador,
of course it's going to take you a little while to get going.
I don't care who you are.
And then by February, March, he looked like a completely different player.
So if he just continues that climb, I'm expecting a big sophomore year.
When the caller asks who we were most excited about, if we hadn't limited just to the transfers,
my answer would have been Colin Chandler.
I think he's going to have a big year.
You know, you and I appreciate the call.
Andy, good to hear from you.
You and I both have seen the Book of Mormon.
Twice?
I always think about that moment for Mormons
Shannon do you know what they
When they're 18 they get like go in a room
And they tell them where they're going to spend the next two years of their life
Yeah
Yeah did you imagine
Can you imagine what that's like
You walk into a room
They go okay
One of you
Somebody next to you is going to live with for two straight years
And we could send you anywhere in the world
Here we go
And like you could
I mean that's got to
be crazy you could literally go from anywhere from new york city to you know
senegal and you have no idea where you're going to go i'm just being that room going
please don't say kansas please don't say kansas what about orlando oh orlando
you don't like orlando in that show orlando is his dream that would be i would much
prefer to go to the other places but what that's got to be i've talked about before the two that
I don't know that there would have been anything I can conceive of
that would have made me more nervous than the Vietnam War draft.
We talked about on this before, and if you look it up, you can watch this.
Mario, you may not even know this.
They would just, the draft, they would just pull anybody, is that right?
Yeah, but they did it on national TV, and they did it by birthday.
So they put all 365 birthdays into a thing,
and their order was, if you were, let's say, 18 to 20,
or whatever the age was.
They were like, start with number one,
and we are ordering the birthdays,
and it was live on TV,
and the first number drawn out,
you were number one,
and you knew you were going to war.
You knew.
And basically, we're going to go through the draft
through these birthdays,
and so you had to sit there,
and your birthday could come up.
I'm so wild, man.
I mean, can you think about imagine watching that on television?
I would have just send me a letter and let me know.
I couldn't sit there and watch them draw balls like the NBA lottery.
it like you're sitting there watching the lottery and you know if you come anywhere from like
one to a hundred chances are you're going to vietnam and if you're 365 you're probably fine
i think i would watch it but i mean that would be they talk about stressful and then if you come up
and you're number six you just have to look at everybody and be like oh yeah hope to see you
i'd rather see it there though than it can get a letter you know did it have a host oh yeah
Yeah, I think it was Steve Harvey.
I'm just kidding.
That video is on YouTube.
Oh, it's crazy.
Turn it on sometime.
It's absolutely crazy.
Who's next?
Derek.
Derek, go ahead.
Ask anything Thursday.
Hey, guys, what's up?
What's going on?
I've got a question and a show recommendation.
Okay.
My question is, is there any chance that there's going to be a second season for wrestlers
too.
And then my show recommendation is Blackbird on Apple TV.
You know, I like it.
I like it.
Yeah, I've seen the first season.
I liked it.
Is there more than one season?
I've seen the first one.
No.
No, just one season so far.
Yeah, I liked it.
I thought it was good.
You know, it's a death penalty thing and I liked it.
I'm right.
Isn't that the death penalty show?
Yes.
Yes.
I liked it.
Yeah, so oddly, I would think it's unlikely we get a season two of wrestlers,
but it hasn't actually been officially canceled.
I was on the Beaumani Jones podcast saying like, you know, we didn't get a season two.
And then one of the producers was like, well, we haven't not gotten a season two.
They're like, normally they tell you no, they just haven't told us anything because they're putting up.
But I mean, it's been three years, but you do get an official like cancellation and we haven't yet.
So I'm not expecting that we'll get another one.
I'm not the majority owner anymore.
So I don't know.
I'm the minority owner now.
So who knows how that would play up, but we don't know yet.
Well, now, if they're interested, you have the Cash Daniel angle they could play up.
Yeah, Cash looks like he's killing it.
Dude, Cash, I appreciate the call.
I don't know.
I mean, Jim, you're there.
Cash is killing it, isn't he?
Yeah, he's doing great so far.
I mean, it's still really.
Yeah, he's doing great.
He's doing great.
He's traveling.
We're going to have some shows around the state.
He's going to be out there doing his thing.
I just see what he's posted on social.
media, but it just looks like he was born for that.
I mean, this is what he was born.
If he works, he's got to work hard.
If he works hard and he focuses, he can make it.
Like he's got the look, he's got the ability to talk, he's learning, he can make it if, if he puts
in the time.
He's got a built-in fan base that most of those guys don't have in that spot.
That's exactly right.
859-2-80-2287.
One person writes, Matt, I don't think Shannon looks like David Ball, but I do think he looks
like the Mr. Rogers guy, but I also think that's mean.
So tell Shannon I'm sorry even though I had to say it.
Okay, yeah.
I don't accept your apology.
You still said it.
You still know what you're doing.
Yeah.
That was me.
We'll take a break.
Be right back.
This is Kentucky Sports Radio.
Last night, a blown call changed a game.
This morning, the internet lost its mind.
Highlights are trending.
Opinions are flying.
And nobody's telling you exactly what happened.
That's where Sports Slice comes in.
I'm Timbo. Every episode, we're cutting through the noise, breaking down the plays, the controversies, and the stories behind the headlines.
We go straight to the source, the athlete themselves. Their locker room stories, their reactions, the stuff nobody gets to hear.
The laughs, the drama, the triumphs, the moments that never make the highlight real. From viral moments to historic games, from buzzer beaders to controversial calls, we break it down, give you context and ask the questions everybody wants answered.

And on my podcast, The Cliverts Show,
I'm bringing you conversations about all kinds of stuff.
Like being an internet famous referee.
We're in the middle of a game.
This linebacker, this linebacker walks up to me.
He goes, hey, ref, my mom wants you.
to wave at her.
What?
Time out.
Quarterback on office blue with 42.
Hey, Brett.
My mama want you to wave at her.
What?
Hey, Ms. Parker.
Listen to the Clippers show on the IHeartRadio app,

Hey, everyone.
It's Ryder Strong and Will Ferdell from PodMeets World.
And now the Pod Meets Twirled podcast.
We're two men who were completely clueless to reality TV,
who now have covered Dancing with the Stars.
Traders.
And we're gearing up for the season finale of Survivor.
So yeah, now we're experts.
I know we annoyed a lot of our listeners
by our severe lack of survivor knowledge.
That is the point of the show.
I'm just going to remind you.
I have watched some Survivor.
I obviously haven't watched enough.
Did people not like it?
Like what was just because we?
Yeah.
We'll be recapping the big conclusion
at the 50th season.
From the final attempts at gameplay
to the desperate play,
to the desperate pleas of finalists
to a bunch of
ha, who, ha, ha, who.
Again, we are experts.
So make sure to tune in to PodMeets Twirled

I actually drop better when I'm high.
It heightens my senses,
calms me down.
If anything, I'm more careful.
Honestly, it just helps me focus.
That's probably what they're,
the driver who killed a four-year-old told himself.
And now he's in prison.
You see, no matter what you tell yourself,
if you feel different, you drive different.
So if you're high, just don't drive.
Brought to you by NHTSA and the Ad Council.
This is the graduation song.
Congrats to Josiah Lemon, who's graduating as we speak.
And congrats to all the people graduating at Rupp Arena today.
All the high schools in Lexington will be there.
So everybody be safe trying to get
round, but congrats to all of them.
The crypto-Livingston crypto, it's Livingston County, not Livingston City.
As Richie Farmer reminds me, Livingston City is exit 49 where they have a very famous gas station,
the 49er.
Okay.
I'm going to say, if you're going south on 75, stop at the 49er sometimes.
It's like you're going back in time a little bit.
Like you don't see a lot of those kind of gas stations anymore.
Just trust me.
Just sometime, I don't stop a lot because they usually go on to London or Corbyn.
Sometimes, Mario, I'm going to take you to the 49er.
I'm looking forward to it.
Yeah, I don't think you are.
Now, Livingston County, the crypto guy, he lived in a six-bedroom, 10-bathroom house.
That's a lot of bathrooms.
Why would you need 10 bathrooms?
I don't even like cleaning the two that I have.
No, I mean, if you only have six bedrooms, is there like a number one and a number two bathroom for everyone?
Like 10, normally there's more bedrooms than bathrooms.
That's a house, right, Shannon?
I would think so, yeah.
Six bedroom, 10 bathroom.
It's in Smithland, Kentucky.
10,600 square feet.
What did you look at this picture?
Look at this picture.
This house is in like, look at that.
Oh, wow.
Now, here's what's crazy.
You buy this house in Lexington, in Chevy Chase.
It's like a three bedroom.
This is a mansion, and it's $1.5 million, which is a ton of money.
But this house in Lexington, $4, $5 million probably?
Yeah, maybe more depending where it is.
Look at that house.
That's incredible.
I mean, he's got stained glass.
Like, folks, go to Zillow.
I mean, look, there's nothing wrong with saying a Zillow address, isn't there?
No, it's public.
It's public.
101 Court Street, Smithland Kentucky.
Of course he lives on Court Street.
101.
Well, he's going to be in court a lot.
101 Court Street, Smithland, Kentucky.
And look at this house.
Can you believe this house is in Livingston County, Kentucky?
I mean, look at that staircase.
It's got two sides.
I wouldn't even know which side to go up.
Oh, wow.
Look at that.
He's living.
Well, he's not living.
He's in prison right now.
I don't think he's living.
It could be a big adjustment.
Yeah.
Going from that to a prison cell.
Not even one bathroom.
Greed is the obvious answer.
But how do you have that house and doing well, according to reports,
and you feel like you need to hold a guy with his chainsaw for two weeks?
See, I'm like that.
I totally agree.
Like you're good.
You've made it.
We've had this conversation.
There's an amount of money where like, just stop.
You know what I mean?
You have two staircases in the same spot.
I want to say that to Elon Musk all the time.
Dude, just chill.
Right?
Like, just like, don't you want to have to.
fun. Like, why are you, don't you just want to enjoy
your life at some point? And some people want to accomplish more. Crypto King
chainsawed a guy. That was unnecessary. You didn't have to...
That was part of the torture. You had a salt. But, like, you're good. You don't have to risk this
or do this. Just go back to Smith, Smithland, and live in your big courts. Six-car
garage. Six... Ten bathrooms. I don't understand the ten bathrooms.
I mean, there aren't ten bathrooms in the White House.
We only have one bathroom at this station.
Literally one tiny one.
Ten bathrooms.
All right.
Bill.
Bill, go ahead, Bill.
Bill, go ahead, Bill.
859-2-807.
Morning, guys.
Morning.
Yeah, going to the graduation stories, Drew's story,
reminds me and my own.
I graduated, of course, I have my mother and father,
my only living, a grandparent, my grandmother,
you know back in this is the early 80s they give you that booklet looking thing you know then you have to go to your home room to get the actual diploma back then so we go through these doors and the wing where my home room was and I and the guys in that my homeroom teachers stand there he's a science geek I played ball and everything everybody else knew me but he didn't or he knew me from well that's probably if you're if the point is that you got in trouble it's probably it's probably
Probably because you were calling the teachers science geeks.
You're not really supposed to do that.
Well, no, I didn't get in trouble.
I go down there to get my diploma with him.
And they follow me down there.
And he's like, you can't get out this way.
You can't get out this way.
I said, well, I'm here for my diploma.
He's like, who are you?
And I probably said, well, I hadn't seen you since the first two days in school.
Well, there you go.
You're lucky you got it.
It sounds like to me.
Yeah, I got it.
I was like, well, you get to see me my last day here, too.
but I also want to say real quick, you know, who's gained the most with this Otega deal is the
Stubs and Wofford.
It's deflected off what they did with that rate.
Well, that's actually probably true.
I will say to you about that.
I appreciate the call.
I got more comment.
Again, it's a symbolic thing.
It's $100,000.
But people, Mario, were mad about it.
They are mad that this terrible performance with the offensive line led to a row.
raise. I mean, people are genuinely
upset about that. Yeah, I don't
I hate to see it. You know,
it doesn't make sense. You give somebody a raise
and they're not producing. You know, usually
it's... No, they're negative produced.
They're negative producing. The quarterback quit. I'm going to
continue saying that. The quarterback quit
football. He got beat up so bad.
And one of his players with a concession stand. It's both those... I mean,
they... Yes. We had a player
go get a hot dog in
his uniform
during the game. He had his pads
on, Shannon, and he went and got a
hot dog. That's something you wouldn't even see at a high school game. No.
At McCreary County, they would tell you, you can do that stuff at Monticello, but you cannot do
that here at McCreery County. Yeah, you're right about it. It's $100,000. I mean, that's a lot to all
of us, but with the UK's budget, it's probably not that much. But just the optics, like, who's the
PR person over there that says, maybe we shouldn't do this right now while everyone has already
upset at us and him specifically for having such a down here? I like Mark Stoops, but when he said
everybody wanted him.
Really?
Really?
First one in the building.
Okay.
Fine.
He's punctual.
Well, there you go.
Well, if he's punctual, then you know what?
We'll have all of our quarterbacks quit and get knocked out.
At least he's here on time.
We'll be right back.
Another podcast from some SNL late-night comedy guy, not quite.
Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and headwriter, Streeter Seidel,

Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.

You just understood.
That's how personal it got.
Wow.
Then after that game seven, Marquis come in, he's like, you know, I love you, dog.
You know, it's all love.
This was just playoffs.
This was just basketball.
