Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and Friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel,
help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.

Welcome to Hour 2 of Kentucky Sports Radio, presented by Stockton Mortgage.
Now, here's Matt Jones.
Welcome back, hour number two, Kentucky Sports Radio here at the KS Bar and Grill.
Come on out, have lunch, see us, and join what is a beautiful day.
Tomorrow's a KSR golf scramble.
It's asking anything Thursday.
You know, they're predicting some rain, Drew.
for those of you that are in the scramble, we're going.
And if there's any thunderstorm, we'll delay it until it goes away.
But it's on because it should be, it's going to rain probably,
but it should be weather that we can play in, hopefully.
Hopefully.
Yeah, I don't love the forecast.
We've been very lucky most years.
I mean, we've had some heat.
We've had a rain day once.
Yeah, and we've had some very hot days.
But overall, we've been pretty blessed with sunshine.
Looks like it might be catching up to us tomorrow.
That's all right, though.
Just make yourself, you know, get yourself ready for rain gear.
This is, you know, it'll make the course play a little soggy.
Snuggles are fun, man.
I enjoyed the K.S.R.G.S.R. Schwabbles are fun, man. I should be a level to playing field.
Should be a lot of fun.
Now, one person writes, Matt, I was part of that Vietnam draft lottery.
I was at U.K., we basically all watched it, and the people who got a low number
went out and immediately got drunk at two keys.
That's tough.
Yeah, I mean, you know your life's completely changing. Go enjoy what you have left.
of it there with your friends.
They called it, Shannon,
the selection show.
Yeah,
that's the time.
The one you don't want to watch it.
Now,
Barkley would commentate.
He'd be like,
all right,
June 3rd.
Sorry.
I can see Greg Gumboe hosting.
Yeah, Greg Bumble,
rest in peace.
It would be,
that would be,
that would be sad.
That would be sad.
It would be sad.
I'm glad.
I will say this.
I've said this a lot.
All of us.
There's people on all
sides of the political spectrum that complain about everything and there are a lot of things that
should be better i think we'd all agree but there is we should be thankful way better than it used to be
yes it is better now it is better to be alive now than it has been to be alive at basically any point in
human history and we are even with all of its faults in one of if not the best places to be
during that time we should be thankful about that even when we complain as i do about the things
that happened because it wasn't even that long ago you know world war two was like there are a lot
of people alive that were in war war two like it was 1940s yeah look at this guy you know when
the ron lemon could never yeah and lemon could never
Yesterday I thought was a really good symbol, Drew, of why NIL has been so good for college basketball.
O.A. comes back to Kentucky.
Pettiford comes back to Auburn, right?
He's coming back.
Yes. Condon comes back to Florida.
Yaxel comes back to Michigan.
None of that stuff happened.
None of those guys come back in the old system.
College basketball is older.
The quality of play is higher.
some of those guys are coming back to the schools where they were where fans knew them
I think it helps the NBA in the sense that like you know they get guys who are seasoned
after the top 15 dudes NIL I think has caused a lot of problems for college football for a variety
of reasons but I think and now we have three or four years to show this that for college
basketball NIL has been almost a universal positive do you
agree with that? Yeah, I said a lot of these guys would have left just hoping to get any kind of money.
A lot of them knowing they would end up in Lithuania in a few months, knowing they're not going
to get drafted, but now they're coming back and it makes the sport better.
I mean, look what it's done to Cal. I mean, Cal, everyone would leave Cal after a year, whether
they're ready or not. Now he's got Carter Knox coming back, DJs in a third year. Without
NIL, I mean, those guys leave. Carter Knox would stay in the draft if we didn't have NIL.
It just makes the sport so much better. It's gotten older.
And it's better for the kids.
And if you look at the Final Four last year, a lot of players were retained
and the similar with NIL money that could have gone the year before.
It's just made the teams better.
Think about all these dudes that played for us that have floated around the world,
playing for various teams, who could have come back and made a substantial amount of money here.
So let's just go through with some of them.
James Young.
He went to the Red Claws, the main Red Clause from the UK.
Marcus T.
Yep.
Right.
Dekari Johnson
D'Carie would have been
He's my I wish he had stayed
Because he would have been on that team
The following year with Eulis Murray
They just didn't have any size with Scowl and Marcus Lee
Okay those are those are three
Ashton Hagan
Ashton Hagen's
Another I think EJ Montgomery had a lot left
He went straight to Lithuania when he went pro
Yes
Those guys
If they come back
They all of a sudden are in a position
To where they could have made
a million and a half to $3 million that year,
and then giving themselves a shot.
Like, when you look at the NBA draft this year,
go look at mock draft boards.
What you'll see is the top 15 to 20 picks are mostly first years.
I mean, that's going to, and it's probably always going to be like that.
But then when you get from 20 to 60,
there's a lot of guys who are in their senior years,
and there's a lot of guys who, after their freshman years,
no chance they would have been drafted, right?
No chance at all.
So if we were picking all freshmen,
these dudes, there's zero chance these guys end up on an NBA roster.
I mean, Kobe Brea could get picked in the second round.
Was he going to get picked after one year?
No, no chance.
So I just think it is a really, really positive thing.
And for the sport, and we were worried about all this chaos.
And I think football should still be worried because there are problems.
But for basketball, I think it's almost a universal positive.
You mentioned, Teague.
Think about the Nerling's year.
He's the point guard instead of hero.
And you might even have a junior Doron Lamb.
You know, he probably would have stuck around.
Just think of all the guys that could have had an extra year and gotten better.
You would have returned pieces from the national championship season and put them with Nerlands.
You know, it might throw off commitments you get over time,
but it'd be fun to have those guys play a lot more basketball here.
And they would have made more money than they did in the league.
And from the fan perspective, like, imagine a guy like Anthony Davis, you know he's so talented,
but if he decided to come back.
But he's a bad example.
He's going number one.
He decided.
But he's not coming back.
I mean, like, those dudes are not.
There's no system where those guys come back.
But that next tier of guys.
The BJ Bostons of the world.
Yeah.
Another good example.
I mean, he's a guy who could have found a second year.
Second year, another option of playing.
I was begging for sophomore Chris Livingston.
He was so misused here.
He was a big one.
He leaves after a bad year, gets a four-year deal with the bucks.
I mean, he's not a start or anything, but he plays quality minutes.
He would have been a great sophomore.
So I do think it has been.
you know, a pretty universal positive.
Now, you and I, Drew, we have to talk about this case about the roofing guy.
Yeah, it's not great.
Okay, so the name of the roofing company, Shannon.
I have anxiety of us talking about.
Yeah, roofing company on the radio.
What are you talking about here?
That's true.
We've had a history of talking about things in the room.
But everything I'm reading you here, I just want to be clear, everything's coming from the
Harold leader.
So, like, my name's Bennett.
I ain't in it.
I am reading you, Shannon, Harold Leader.
Okay, so get upset if you want it, my friend Janet Patton.
She's the one that wrote this stuff.
Can I read some of this?
Please.
The owner of Lexington Blue, the roofing company accused of defrauding homeowners and insurance company,
ran his firm as a cult of personality, his employees say.
All right.
Now, remember, he's originally in trouble.
The AG's office is investigating them for saying, hey, I'm going to fix your roof,
taking the money and then he doesn't fix the roof, right?
This sentence is amazing.
Brad Pagel encouraged employees to take psychedelic drugs,
lectured them for hours about his metaphysical beliefs,
and cheated them out of money, say several former workers.
He routinely berated them under the guise of encouragement
and bombarded sales team leaders with hundreds of intimidating techs.
Now, would you like to know some of them?
of those texts.
Please.
Apparently,
one of his employees made a post on Reddit that he didn't,
he did not like that they made.
He then got on,
allegedly,
on text and texted,
we've got to get him,
find him a way to shut up,
and then sent these crazy,
intimidating,
intimidating texts basically about what he was going to do to him if he didn't.
And they have the screenshots up.
Yeah, I saw in the Herald Leader story, a former employee said this dude's like an absolute psychopath.
I mean, just all the stuff he was doing, a lot of it you mentioned.
And it's not like he took advantage of like five people or 20 people.
It says there's hundreds of people that he took advantage of getting away with this for a long time.
And then like you, the article, like it's a long article.
And the article is about all the stuff that he did and all the things that he wrote, again, allegedly.
And like this is just a dude here in Lexington that was doing a roofing company.
Again, we are careful about roofing companies.
But it's absolutely wild.
He started after 10 years Shannon calling himself the Reverend.
Yeah, that's a definite cult leader.
So I'm going to go back to the guy.
Just before you say that, if I'm working in a – if I ever say to you guys,
all right, start calling me the Reverend.
That's the moment you need to say, Matt, it's been fun.
I think it's time for you to move on.
We're not calling you the Reverend.
All right, go ahead.
So the guy had his employees take, you said psychedelics.
He had roofers up on a roof on top of the house.
Yeah, on psychedelics.
Yeah.
But what form of that sounds like a good idea?
We're going to get guys on top of a house that are on psychedelics.
I did not pause too.
I mean, this story is wild.
It is one of the wilder stories that I've ever seen about someone in Lexington that did this.
He also, his social media included multiple pictures of him as Neo from the Matrix.
I didn't see that part.
He would do motivational talks, one of which was shown to his employees, and here's how it started.
This is Brad Pagel, aka.
and dad coming at you live in one tape rough rugged and raw i think i would have walked out of the
office right there today's talk is going to be about getting rid of the negative the weak and the
heavy the blank in your life that doesn't jive with where we're going to go if i said to you in a meeting
this is mad jove riven a k a reverend i'm coming at you can't even say this to that laugh i'm coming at you in one
tape rough rugged and raw
pause
would that have intimidated you all?
Yeah let's all eat these gummies and get out there and
pick some roots
here's some mushroom Shannon
there's a ladder and some mushrooms
get to work Shannon here's some mushroom let's go
pull wire are you ready? I think
that's how KSR ends the day
that happens I'm out
I'm just telling you this story on the hair leader
is a wild story
and I don't
think it's going to help this guy in his
attorney general
investigation.
Do you?
They might revoke his status
as reverend for all this.
You know,
with so many victims
and being local,
there's a decent chance
that some people listening
were fraughted by this guy.
Maybe they can chime in
and let us know what it was like.
Yes.
Employees were told to watch
the Wolf of Wall Street
and then he would reenact
the scene.
Oh.
Let's go roof.
We're back.
It seemed like a lot of homework
for a roofing job,
you know?
Like, I just want to go hammer
some nails. Yeah, that's true. You don't sign up for all this when you go work in a rooping
company. You're not like, all right, dude, stop. We don't need to watch the
Matrix. I just have to put in the shingle.
All right, who's next? Jason. Jason, go ahead, Jason.
Well, I don't think they have to worry about the mushrooms because
heavily they weren't fixing any roofs anywhere. Yeah, they never got on a roof,
so I guess it worked out.
I got something, I don't know if you guys know or not, but I'm usually
podcast listener.
Yesterday, when you guys were talking about the offensive line coach, as you faded out
to commercial, and you know, sometimes the commercials aren't the same and don't line up,
you could early hear Ryan say, I bet Freddie Magher's not happy about it.
Yeah, he wasn't supposed to say that on the air, but it did co-through the air.
He said Freddie.
Well, Freddie didn't like Will Wolford.
Freddie or Eric.
Or Eric.
He didn't like any Wolford.
He didn't like Eric Wolford because he thought that
Eric was not good about, like, he only cared about the starters.
He didn't develop the bench.
And then it showed itself when he went to Alabama, and there was a huge drop-off in our players.
But that was, Freddie was very, Freddie thought he used, we had good starters that year, Eric was here.
But he thought he kind of worked him into the ground and then didn't develop the bench.
And that really made Freddie mad.
He thought sometimes at the end of the games, our guys were.
were dead because he didn't do what an offensive line coach should do.
Yeah, yeah.
Well, Ryan's always entertaining, and I just thought, I didn't know if you always.
Yeah, no, I mean, it's Ryan, right?
Like, that's what's going to happen is that he's going to do that.
But appreciate the call.
It's a good reminder of these mics can be hot.
Yeah, and get me a second to, like, turn off your mic before you start talking,
thinking you're off the air.
Yeah.
Ryan is not going to, it's not going to do that.
He immediately goes from Utah to a break.
Okay.
So the guy who went on Reddit, sorry, back to our reverend, the guy that went on Reddit and complained, he wrote to another employee, if that guy doesn't delete that post, he's going to end up in a van.
Oh, down by the river.
I mean, that's not good.
No.
And also, apparently afterwards, the guy who had made the comments would get anonymous texts that say, we found you.
you can't hide anymore.
We are coming for you.
That is creepy.
It's like trying to start the mafia here with this roofing business?
You're putting up roofs.
Oh, yeah.
Imagine that.
You just sign up for a roofing job.
And next thing you know, you're in a cult.
It's unbelievable.
How does that happen?
I don't know.
859-28027.
We're going to take a break.
We'll be back here at the KS Barre Grill.

Like what was just because we?
Yeah.

Most people out here think that taking care of one another
is important.
And most people would step up for a neighbor going through a tough time.
Most people around here help out friends and family
when they need it.
But the funny thing,
is most of us won't look for help when we need it. Talk to someone if you're struggling with
mental health because most people out here really care. Find more information at loveyourmind
today.org. That's loveyourmind today.org. Brought to you by the Huntsman Mental Health
Institute and the Ad Council. Welcome back. Tatea Sports Radio, Drew, Shannon, Mario, and Reverend
Matt, when you look in the mirror in the morning, do you have spots on your skin? Like, and do they
worry you? Well, you should at least get them checked.
out. Kentucky Skin Cancer Center is here to help you.

Kentucky Skin Cancer Center has 1,500 five-star reviews.
They'll check it out, make sure you don't have anything you need to worry about.
If they need something removed, they'll do it.
Go to the Kentucky Skin Cancer Center, 708, 421-999.
How come I can't read these?
270-842-1999.
They hide that two at the beginning.
It's an important digit.
7-0 you need them all 842
1999 now shannon you said one of the former employees
of the reverend is on the is on the phone
yeah yeah we got tevis here we're
tevis how are you tevis
hey matt i uh heard you talking about brad peggle so i thought i might call in
i uh i worked for lexington blue in the summer of 2016
uh while i was basically on summer break at uk
and I mean I can totally believe a lot of the stuff that's coming out today about him
it seems like he really kind of his worst habits might have exacerbated over time
but I mean that was that man is the most intense just it was the most wild experience
so give me an example when you say he's intense when you say he's intense as a as a roof boss
Like, give me an example of something that would have happened that was intense.
Okay.
So, like, you know, I'm at a job all day long.
We get done when the roof's done.
So I'm dropping the work.
I'm coming back to the office with a work truck, and he brings us in to the, he brings me or whoever else is around into the office to do one of those motivational sessions that you read about.
I can't even remember what type of.
You get told you're going to have to do a motivational session.
what does everybody think
like we are here to make
build roofs we're not here for motivation
so you walk in and then what do they say
well
I remember he played some sort of movie
video that I can't even
this was a while back so I can't remember exactly
what was going on but you know
it's a lot of talk about like you know being your
best self and
I mean it was just totally
I can't even describe
it was wild so you're going to
be your best self, but ultimately you're just supposed to put up a roof. So did everybody kind of
think this is ridiculous? Oh, it's totally ridiculous. And he had a sovereign citizen qualities at
the time, I remember. And I think that's kind of played out the way he's rep. Well, you know,
you know the people who like the law, like say you get pulled over by cop and he's like, well,
I'm traveling. I'm not dry, like that type of stuff. Oh, so he would claim he was sovereign and
above the law?
Yeah, yeah
And, you know
So did you like him?
Did you like him as a boss?
Or did you think I got to get out of this?
Well, I thought he was a bit crazy.
But, you know, to be honest,
and part of the reason I wanted to call in, at least it wasn't the vouch for the guy.
And this is nine years ago, too.
But like, I will say about it.
He always had my back.
Like, if I got, if I ran into any trouble with a homeowner's association or just
somebody who was rude, like, he, he would always stand up for me.
He would, he would show that he cared about me in particular.
I can't speak for everybody.
So he didn't, but at the same time.
No, no, no, no.
But at the same time, like, I knew this.
I figured the company probably would have.
failed a lot sooner than it did.
It was just a
I mean, I don't even know how to get into it all, really,
but I just want to give you an idea.
I appreciate the call. So see, all the way going back to
2016, would you be a sovereign citizen? The law doesn't
apply to you? But someone told me he has
a book. I'm looking at it on Amazon. What's the name of the book?
Well, it's by Dr. Brad Pagel. I'm going to assume it's him.
It's called the Alchemy of Greatness, the
Mind, The Hustle, and the Awakening.
Oh.
What are the reviews?
It actually has four, five-star reviews.
Wow.
Well, maybe,
maybe, Shannon, I need to start making you all read that.
How many one-star reviews?
I promise.
One of them is written by a guy named Brad.
Maybe there's two Bradds in this equation.
Could be him reviewing his own book.
But he does have four, five-star reviews.
That's nice.
Give him some credit.
Okay.
Well, there you go.
Who's next?
Go to Matt.
Matt, what's up, Matt?
How's it going?
You guys were talking about the draft.
My dad enlisted in the Marine Corps in 69,
thinking that the draft was inevitable.
And the YouTube video that you spoke about,
you could see it clear his day.
He was 0-0-1.
His birthday was September 14th.
He was the very first date in the draft.
That's brutal.
So he was going anyway.
So enlisting probably helped him find a better location
than he would have, right?
Right.
He actually, he didn't serve in combat.
He was in Okinawa.
But his service time was two years, and he got to come home.
But, yeah, he was lucky.
He was very lucky.
Wow.
But my question was, my ask anything question was,
if you had to enlist,
what branch would it be and why?
Well, I appreciate the call.
I think if I had to enlist,
I would try to do something with the law,
or you know, I've seen Good Morning Vietnam.
They have a radio thing, don't they, Shannon?
In the military?
Yes, I could be in the radio part.
But I would think maybe, what is it, Jag Corps or something like that.
I would be, I freely, I would be horrible in the military.
I mean, I would be, so would you, Mario.
Me too.
Yeah.
Who would be good out of our group?
Ryan.
Ryan would be good.
He's the guy he want to be in the trenches with.
He's loyal.
He'll stand up for you.
He'll do what you.
you say like he's a good direction follower. Drew will be good. He'll figure it out.
Well, haven't been lucky to do the, we did the jump with the Golden Knights, and then I've done
the Blue Angels flight. I feel like I'd be an Air Force guy. I need to be in the skies.
Yeah, I'm scared flying. I'm not doing that. I think I'm going to have to do, I hope they
still have Good Morning Vietnam, the show. I'll just do that one. We'll take a break.
Be right back here at KS. Bars, Kentucky Sports Radio.
Good morning, V.
T.J. Smith, personal injury attorney. Call T.J., he'll make them pay.
Now, more of Kentucky Sports Radio presented by Stockton Mortgage.
Here's Matt Jones.
Welcome back.
It is Kentucky Sports Radio.
I have to say, Drew keeps finding out more stuff about my man.
What's the name of his book?
Well, he has 12 books.
Twelve books.
One of them is called Roof Warrior.
A lot of, like, the art of closing the deal and going door to door, you know, a lot of sales talk.
Yeah, all right.
And then you said...
And I was reading the Harold Leader's story.
It said that he would give talks on the Rothschild family, the Illuminati, his weight loss, and his Tinder profile.
And his Tinder profile.
Those are four very different things.
Or maybe you can bind them.
I don't know.
It's a strange man.
Seems like a pretty strange man.
I'm not going to lie.
Harold Leader's doing a great job with this.
The Breeders Cup is coming back to Lexington next year.
I'm going to clap.
Very excited about that.
We have basically stolen the Breast.
Breeders Cup from Louisville. For whatever reason, the Breeders' Cup is not interested in going to Churchill
Downs. They seem to be basically all in on Lexington, and it is all Breeders Cup in Keenland. They'll
do that in 2026. It looks like the Breeders' Cup's going to go California, Kentucky, California,
Kentucky, and it looks like the Kentucky one is going to be Keenland. Yeah, I remember I don't know the
exact year, but the first year Keenlin had it, there were some concerns about Lexington as
the city being a good host, and they absolutely nailed it. Everyone was.
raved about it. We've had it since.
I hope it keeps going. We've gone a few times. That's when we had the Toby
Keith trash dogs, right? Well, I mean, the two
they've had were American Pharaoh and justified.
That helps too. They've had pretty good.
They've had pretty good ones. But both times,
Lexington in the city was a great host, so I can see why
they'd want to keep it here. Yeah, it's
pretty good stuff for the city of Lexington.
About as positive news as you can get. Who's up next?
Bob.
Bob.
Okay, Bob. Okay, Bob.
Go ahead, Bob.
Yeah, hey Matt.
Hey, you have so many irons in the fires, and all things being equal from most likely to least likely,
what activity or thing would you give up?
And also, one other quick thing, have you all heard anything about the AI that blackmailed his programmer?
No, but that worries me.
Yeah, that's the kind of thing I'm very, very worried about.
Real quick, let me tell you what happened.
I heard this morning on the news.
This guy programmed emails in this AI in his office there,
and he was going to take that AI down in place of another,
and it sent him an email threatening to tell his wife that he was having an affair.
Oh, yeah.
Wow.
That's a crazy story.
I appreciate the call.
As far as giving stuff up, this is the one that I would probably give up last,
because this is the one that is the one that is the,
the most successful, profitable, and so this is going to be the one that I would handle the
show.
The show.
Yes.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Everything else.
You know, everything else depends on the stuff you got going.
I think the first you give up is your cooking.
How's that going?
No, I've done.
How is your cooking going?
I mean, not as quickly as I would have liked, but better than you would think.
I've done a little bit.
I've done a little bit.
You've preheated?
I've watched videos.
I've tried a couple things.
I don't want to, like, get too excited because I don't want people.
thinking I'm more advanced than I am, which is what I'm worried they think.
Well, that one I've had a lot of people ask me, so if you're giving something up,
I can see you abandoning the cooking career.
Well, we'll have to see.
Railbird is this weekend.
Who are the leads?
You got Jelly Roll, Laney Wilson, and who's the other one?
There's Riley Green.
Raleigh-Rae, his mustache.
The women are upset about that.
So how do you think it looks like Sunday, I can just tell by the parking stuff here,
Sunday we have filled up pretty close.
Saturday, not as much.
I don't know.
I wonder, is it, who's the lead on Saturday?
Sunday's jelly roll.
Okay, so that's probably why that is.
Lenny Wilson on Saturday.
So, Laney Wilson.
Your boy Shibuzzi is also on Saturday.
Shibuzi.
You're still interviewing him.
I was told by someone that Shibuzzi has been here all week.
That Shibuzzi has been seen around the city of Lexington all week.
So what do you think about that?
That's neat.
I mean, that's a big star.
I'm glad he's enjoying our town.
He'll also be with Bailey Zimmerman.
You big Bailey Zimmerman guy.
Don't know who that is.
That's the second headliner behind Lady Wilson on Saturday.
That might be why Saturday hasn't been quite as.
Maybe Shabuzzi could come by a gas bar.
Like I said, I've heard he's been here for quite some time.
So that's kind of, I guess that's good.
Hopefully it works out.
Who's next?
Jamie.
Jamie, go ahead, Jamie.
Yes, sir.
It's Jamie from Glasgow, Kentucky.
Okay.
I think it's maybe my second time calling.
I was just wondering.
I was just wondering, I'm not a big spender.
And it took a lot of convincing to get me to buy a pair of them shady rays.
I was just wondering if y'all get some kind of kickback because they're pretty good glasses.
We do not, I mean, we do not get a kickback.
No, they, you know, I mean, they pay for the ad.
But my assumption is people buy them because they keep paying for them.
I'm shady rays.
I said I've lost 150 pairs because I lose sunglasses, but I do think they're very good.
Well, one pair turned into three-fair.
Somehow I give my wife my debit card and one pair turned into three-farer.
I don't know that exactly works.
But they are really good glasses.
I'm going to give you that.
All right.
Well, thank you very much, sir.
Appreciate the call.
8-9-280-7.
We got some breaking news, Shannon.
Uh-oh.
Let me get it ready.
All right.
Ronnie na-na-na.
Charlie Baker, the president of the NCAA,
says their goal is to try to expand the NCAA tournament to 72 teams,
hopefully by this season.
Too many teams, man.
Too many teams.
I don't like that.
You don't like that?
What's that?
Four more?
It's not the end of the world, but I just, it's fine.
Let's just stop adding more because then you had four more on down the road.
Would that be an extra round then if he had it?
Well, no, what they would do?
do is they would make the play in games.
Now there's four of them.
There would be eight.
So you would have probably games all day on Tuesday, all day on Wednesday.
So the idea would be rather than just playing Tuesday and Wednesday night of that week,
there'd be games starting at noon on Tuesday, games starting at noon on Wednesday.
I mean, I'm not upset about the opportunity to do more March Madness betting,
especially in the day, but I just, I like it where it is with the NCAA tournament.
We don't need more.
I don't understand why they think they need more.
First of all, you're going to end up with more bad teams from big conferences.
That's who's going to be.
That's who's going to make it.
It's not going to be.
It's not like they're going to get, of those four new teams, maybe one will be a mid-major,
but three of them will be, you know, who made it last year?
North Carolina and they were terrible.
They're going to be teams like that.
I don't feel like, I mean, it's not necessary, but you know why they're doing it.
They're doing it for money, and that's the reason.
What would Rob Doster and Jeff Goodman do with their big field of 68 operations?
I think he now have to change the name to field of 72.
Somebody should go buy that web domain right now.
Yeah.
So don't like it.
I don't love it.
I mean, I'll admit I would enjoy a noon game being on the Draft King's app, but I'd rather than not do it.
Also, the SEC said yesterday, I don't know if you noticed, the presidents had come out
and said they wanted to have the NCAA football playoff with four teams from the SEC,
four from the Big Ten, two, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
then Brian Kelly and the SEC coaches came out and said,
take the five best conference champions and then all 11 wild card.
They kind of like publicly win against their presidents,
which was kind of an interesting thing to see.
Did that surprise you?
A little bit.
I like for keeping it open.
I think the SEC would still get most of them anyway.
Like last year, I think if you had a first out in football,
it would been mostly SAC, Ole Miss, Alabama, South Carolina.
So I think even though it doesn't have the automatic bids that the SEC would get
now I still think it would end up being more SEC.
I was just a little surprised to see the SEC basically publicly come out to have the coaches
come out and just like disagree with their with their with their with their with their bosses.
You don't.
You don't.
But yeah, SEC, it's too much of a dominant conference for that to happen.
I feel like yeah, SEC is just going to fill up the spaces.
And that's fine.
I'm good with that, but just make them earn it, right?
Yeah, I feel like down there in Destin this week, Greg Sanky's been.
and getting a little sassy.
I keep seeing stories about, you know, Sanky kind of scolding people,
what people are being saying, he's denying stuff.
Not a lot of ton of news and decisions coming out.
They didn't do anything with the schedule, but Sanky's getting very loud.
And part of the agreement was that we would play a Big Ten football team every year.
So basically the SEC would go to nine conference games and a game against the Big Ten.
If that happens, the Louisville game's off the schedule.
If that happens, they'll get rid of the Louisville game.
Well, he did say he's encouraging teams to keep their conference, their long-time rival.
But if you add, yeah, if you add the 10.
I mean, if you make us play nine conference games, and then you make us add a big 10 team,
and then we play Louisville, we're only going to have one game we can certainly win.
Our chances of being a bowl every year start to become very difficult, Shannon.
Like, I mean, if we have to pay 11 major conference teams, us making a bowl.
becomes not a regular occurrence, right?
Yeah, that's why you want to keep it at 8 if you're Kentucky.
I mean, there's no, doesn't do any favors adding another game or two.
There's no upside, at least in the current system, we have three give-me-wins.
In a system where we have to play a Big Ten team, now we're down to two.
And then if you play nine conference games, Drew, you're down to one.
I would enjoy the Big Ten game, though.
Just something different.
We've been going to the same SEC cities forever.
I would like going to a Wisconsin.
and Iowa, really anywhere but Indiana and playing a game there just for something new.
I think for something new it would be good.
I'd like to see them do eight conference games, make us play a big 10 team.
We keep Louisville and then we play two bad teams.
I'm good with that schedule.
That's what I would like to see.
Yeah, me too.
I like that a lot.

I'm bringing you conversations about all kinds of stuff.
Like being an internet famous referee.
We're in the middle of a game.
This linebacker walks up to me, he goes,
hey, ref, my mom wants you to wave at her.
What?
Quarterback on office blue with 42.
Hey, Brett, my mama want you to wave at her.
What?
Where's she at?
Hey, Miss Palm.

We're two men who were completely clueless to reality TV, who now have covered dancing with the stars, traitors, and we're gearing up for the season finale of Survivor.
So yeah, now we're experts.
I know we annoyed a lot of our listeners by our severe lack of survivor knowledge.
That is the point of the show.
I'm just going to remind you.
I have watched some Survivor.
I obviously haven't watched enough.
Did people not like it?
Like what was just because we?
Yeah.
We'll be recapping the big conclusion
at the 50th season
from the final attempts at gameplay
to the desperate pleas of finalists
to a bunch of
ha, hoo.
Ah, ha, ooh.
Again, we are experts.

Most people out here think that taking care of one another is important.
And most people would step up for a neighbor going through a tough time.
Most people around here help out friends and family when they need it.
But the funny thing is, most of us won't look for help when we need it.

So this is Bailey Zimmerman, who I didn't know who that was.
This is, he seems great.
Something you've got a country.
Yeah, I can see.
I'd like to make sure I get there for Bailey Zimmerman.
You're not, I'm not sold on your reaction.
No, I mean, like, it's great.
What's your favorite part about it?
Well, I mean, I like how he's singing in very generic music that could be created by AI,
and it's probably a love story about someone that's wonderful.
But then he also, he's not perfect.
He drinks beer a little too much and is a little rough around the edges.
I don't even know if that's what the song is about.
But that's every country song.
But that's every country song.
And it's just pleasant enough that it's not going to offend anyone,
but it also is completely uninteresting.
What was the title of it again, Shane?
Holy smokes.
Holy smokes.
Okay.
Shannon, just pull up the Holy smokes lyrics.
And again, I've never heard this song.
I didn't hear one word.
And just read me what the first verse is.
It's going to be terrible.
Okay.
Well, you've got to listen to the song while I'm pulling it up.
Yeah, I'm not that quick.
I'm not the first verse.
Yeah, read it.
Well, I was.
only scared of the devil and her dad.
So we'd park somewhere.
We knew they'd never look.
Oh, yeah.
No, I've never seen nothing like her.
Playing with the flame of her mama's lighter.
Oh, my gosh.
No, it wasn't very long, for I was hooked.
See, that's awful.
I mean, everything about that is objectively awful.
First of all, I didn't even know what it was about.
I already guessed clearly he's rough around the edges.
That's why her dad doesn't like him.
You want to continue?
No, she's well.
if it's worthwhile, which I'm sure it is.
Shane, go to the part that starts with Life wasn't.
I think it's too terrible.
Life wasn't heavy in the back of that Chevy.
Me, her, and the Holy Ghost.
Okay.
He did not say me, her, and the Holy Ghost.
Something about us.
Hell of a rush.
Fallen in love.
Lighten up them Holy smokes.
First of all, did he write that in like eight minutes?
I think Chad.
GBT wrote that.
That is the...
That's the worst song.
Right?
So you're not going to be there for bailing.
Compare that to like Tyler Childers.
You remind me of a Sunday back home in Old Kentucky.
That's beautiful, right?
Like that's a really, you know.
And then this is lighten it up with the girl and the Holy Ghost and the smokes.
With her mom's lighter.
I got more.
I can continue.
I'm good.
That's a point.
This is the best part.
Okay, go ahead.
What's the best part?
Heaven was a preacher's spot in that first church parking lot.
hanging on to me like the cross on a rearview does.
Her eyes were blue, the words were red on that half pack of cigarettes.
At 17, that was Halloween.
So this man is comparing his woman to God to a pack of cigarettes.
At 17, that's what Hallelujah was.
Holy smokes.
Great title for the story.
There is a time that would have been considered blasphemous to compare God to cigarettes.
Hanging on to me like the cross on a rear view?
Well, now I know why Saturday is not quite as popular at the thing.
All right, Draft Geeks, Pacers and Knicks tonight, game five.
Go to Draftkegs, bet $5 to get $300.
They will not be playing Bailey Zimmerman at that.
Bet five, get $300 if you win.
It is a bonus bets.
Draft Kings, the crown is yours.
The Knicks are a four and a half point favorite at home.
Do you like them to keep the series going?
Well, I should add, I've been wrong now six times in a row.
I started hot in the playoffs.
I didn't miss for the first two rounds.
It's gotten cold here.
I'm going to say the Pacers put them away.
Even though I've been on the Knicks this whole time, I think it's the end of the road.
I think the Garden's going to be rocking, so I'm going to go with the Knicks on this one.
They're going to take it back to game six.
I think I'll take the Knicks.
I think you go to game six, then the Pacers win game six probably is the way it goes.
I think you're going to get good Jalen performance, good zesty.
Carl performance, Miles Bridges gets going, and you end up getting the win.
O.G.
I think Zesty Carl is questionable with the banged his knee.
No, if Zesty Carl doesn't play, then it's Pacers, because they won't win without him.
Listen, I love Carl.
One of my all-time favorites.
I want him to get a ring, but I saw more of those videos last night.
I think this is everywhere.
But you know, it's funny is I think this is making him likable now.
I think, you know, because people had always kind of thought he was kind of dorky and weird,
and I think NBA people were, like, they didn't really know what to think about him.
And I think this whole Zesty Carl thing is like making it to where people are kind of embracing him a little bit, right?
I think he's embracing it too.
I think he should embrace it.
He should come out tonight and go, foul, like he should do that.
SEC.
The one I saw was Carl Town's top five Zesties moments and I was like, I don't want to watch this, but I have to watch it.
I have watched that same video seven times.
And when he goes, and after all that, you can't, you almost.
I love Carl.
I don't even like bringing it up, but it's everywhere.
It's everywhere.
It's everywhere.
And I think it has made him, I think it's made him more likable.
I really do.
All right.
Who's next?
Aaron.
Aaron, go ahead, Aaron.
For sure.
Hey, fellas.
I'm from the, Smith.
You go ahead.
Powell.
So I grew up in the.
the Smithland area there that you was talking about with the crypto guys. Oh, okay, with the house,
yes. And the house that you was actually showing, so that's the original Smith mansion.
It's right next to the river. It's kind of like a landmark in that area. There's not many houses
like that around there. I would assume so, yeah. And I'm 29 now. So like my whole life,
that house has kind of been vacant. So it's kind of wild if he actually did live there,
because Paduca is only like 20 minutes away. So whenever you showed that house, it was kind of wild,
because like I said, I'm 29, and I've never known of anybody actually live in there.
Well, apparently he did.
Apparently, he just bought it like eight months ago.
So he hadn't been there very long.
$1.5 million.
Have you ever been in it?
Somebody told me they went to Livingston County High School,
and they would do their high school graduation pictures there.
Did you do that?
So no.
So I actually, my sister and all of them, everybody else went there.
I went to Crittenden County.
Okay.
I lived in Livingston, though, for a long time.
Okay.
But really nobody was ever, like, allowed in that house.
It's known that there's, like, tunnels.
There's all kinds of stuff with it.
So if you, like, look it up online, you can see there's all kinds of crazy stuff around that house.
But actually going in it, like, really, even growing up there,
you didn't hear of many people, like, going inside.
Like, a lot of the pictures were on the outside there.
Yeah.
All right.
Well, I appreciate you.
I'd be – I'm fat.
I think it'll be up for sale again because this dude's probably going –
they're going to the pokey, and they're going probably at the pokey, and they're going
probably have to put that for sale for some restitution, I would think.
Yeah, I don't know that he's going to get out of this one, reading all the reports of what
it's been alleged and how much trouble he's in.
Yeah, that's right.
859, 28, well, well, we don't have to do that.
Trivias tonight.
Come on out.
It starts at 7 o'clock.
We got a handful of tables left, so get your, make sure to come in, get there a little early,
get your seat.
I've got to finish the questions.
I'm a little behind, but Mario will be here for our final qualifier tonight.
You're ready to rock?
I think Ryan's family's coming, too.
So yeah.
Oh, Ryan's family's coming.
That's what he said.
A lot of them in.
So he said yesterday.
Well, good for him.
That'll be awesome.
Ryan's got a big family.
And again, congrats to him for graduation.
Congrats to all of the graduates.
Hope everybody has a great day.
Watch out for roofing.
You know, watch out for the Reverend when you're going around.
Mario, thank you for filling in as well.
Thank you for having me guys.
And thanks to my parents who just showed up a little while ago.
Larry's been making a ruckus here next to me.
It's been hard to concentrate.
We will see you later.
