Welcome to Hour 2 of Kentucky Sports Radio presented by Stockton Mortgage.
Now here's Matt Jones.
Welcome back. Hour number two, Kentucky Sports Radio, 859-2-80-2287.
Text machine 772-724-5254.
One person writes, Matt, I'm very excited to watch Ryan try to do the video.
Donuts, will there be a video?
Yeah, we'll live stream it.
Mario will live stream it so that people can watch it during the show.
Be at his house.
Looking forward to being at your house for the pool party.
Yes.
You know, you got the weekends so you can recover.
I may need the rest of the show to recover.
I know.
I think why listening to you be like not feel well, Shannon?
That's part of the entertainment.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, we'll bring you some pepto-bizmall.
To the listeners, before I get something else, I need something from you all.
Okay, because someone out there, maybe multiple someone's can do what I'm about to ask.
Okay, of course, we are doing our renovation of KS Bar.
Right.
We are like sort of redoing the menu.
Some things will be the same, but we're putting new stuff on it.
We've been, we went, we've been working, as they would say, in the lab for that stuff.
It's been good.
We're like redoing the floors inside.
We're adding some new stuff.
It's been good.
One of the things we're doing is if you think about the porch of the bar,
we've ripped out all the stuff in front of it,
so now you can see straight in from the road.
Right.
Because it used to be blocked by TV and stuff.
You really couldn't see into the restaurant.
And considering we're kind of tucked away from Herodzburg Road,
it made it to where if you didn't know it was there,
you wouldn't know it was there.
Nope.
So we're putting a sign in front of it.
And we've taken all that out.
So there's a few things we're doing.
But one of the things, all we're leaving in the front are these pillars.
Right.
So like those pillars.
And here's what we need.
We want to paint on the front of the pillars.
UK players from the path.
All right.
So we want to paint like Anthony Davis, John Wall.
I think there's three or four of them.
We'll figure out what we want to paint.
But we need somebody to do it.
okay we need somebody who is a good painter but not just like a painter on a canvas like you could
paint on a pillar does that make sense am i describing that correctly you could paint on a pillar
a portrait of someone and if it's bad we're going to tell you it's bad well i need it to be good
okay we need it to be good because this is going to be the front of the restaurant right so if you can do that
or you know someone who can do it.
Don't say you can do it and you can't do it.
Because we get one shot at it, right?
Email me at mat.jones at Kentucky Sports Radio
and show me what you've done.
A little sample of your work.
Because I would like it to be KSR people who help us with it.
Yeah.
And there's going to be a couple other jobs like that
where I'm probably going to be asking,
hey, who in the audience can do this with us?
because we want, you know, we have a budget on this.
We need to keep it under it.
But we also, I mean, you know, we'll pay you for your work.
But we just want to see if we want to try to make it to where it's a cool in front.
So if you know somebody who can do that, let me know.
A couple other things coming on.
The one, you know, one of the things we did was like we reevaluated, okay, what about some of the food?
What works and what doesn't?
And we basically thought food's consistency needed to be a little better.
When it was really good, it was really good, but then sometimes it wouldn't.
And so we talked about, all right, what are the things that we can make consistent?
One of the things that maybe we haven't made consistent.
Our wings are really good.
But I've kind of thought our sauces weren't consistently good.
So we're going to redo them.
But in order to do that, we need to test them.
So we're going to, at the end of July, have a thing where our listeners will come and
it would be taste tests of the new wing sauces.
So it'll be like a ticketed event.
We'll probably only have like 50 people come and we'll put them on sale and they'll
probably go quick.
But you all can help us figure out.
We're almost making it to where Drew,
the listeners help tell us what's good.
We want to like normally people do these like, you know, soft openings and it's really only
a few people deciding, I thought, why not open it up to people so that they can help us
figure out what we should have? So you'll get like a card and you can grade the sauces,
basically. People that will probably be eating there, why not ask them? As much as we trust
Ron Lemon's taste buds, we're going to step out and outsource some of the help here. Because we had
some, we had some sauces that weren't very good. So like our KS bar sauce, I thought was pretty good,
but I don't think we ever had a really good buffalo sauce. I don't think we ever really had a really good
hot sauce. So we're like starting over from scratch on those.
And adding some rubs, some dry rubs. Because I like dry rubs. So we've never had dry rubs.
We're getting dry rubs. Mario was in charge of the lemon, was it, lemon pepper garlic?
Yeah, the Lou Wills. Yes. He's in charge of picking those because he likes those. And so he's been,
so anyway, point being, be looking for that. But the first thing I need is if you could paint
let's say John Wall, Anthony Davis,
and then we got to figure out who are the other two we should have on there?
Because we got four spots.
John Watt and Anthony Davis are going to be too.
You want to do a football?
Jared.
Jared.
Yes.
Great idea.
Yeah.
John Wall, Anthony Davis, Jared, and.
Woo.
The Mount Rushmore.
I mean, I wouldn't mind.
I'm in.
Who would be the fourth?
Not just this is in the Mount Rushmore.
This is the KSR Mount Rushmore.
I guess.
we could right now just do Pope.
Could do Pope.
Yeah, that's right.
He played one of a championship.
Now he's our coach.
Coach has changed, though.
What if there's a scandal?
Yeah, what if he leaves?
It's already done.
It can't be changed.
You could just do the four of us on there.
No, we're going to do the players.
We're going to do the players.
Max Duffy.
Hey, I like it.
About only the players we know.
Woo, Max Duffy.
Woo, Macs Duffie.
Ramele.
Yeah, Freddie's got to be up there.
And Freddie, there you go.
Dante.
So anyway, if you know, if you can do it or you know somebody who can,
Matt. Dot Jones at Kentucky Sports Radio and be watching over the next few weeks,
we're going to have a lot of these little things that you guys can be involved in.
And we're also going to have a day where we like clean the place insanely well.
And it'll be kind of open if people want to come help us and we'll feed you and we'll all like,
we're making this a community effort.
Last cleaning day, I ended up in the emergency room.
Yes, you did.
What's our health insurance situation this time around?
I lost a lot of blood.
You were up on a ladder.
Also, we're putting, I don't know if you all know this.
We're putting you guys, this includes you, Shannon, up on painting the roof.
I'll paint the roof.
Can I paint woo on the roof?
If you, when you walk at the front, the roof is like green.
And we were like, why is the roof green?
Why don't we make it blue and white?
Yeah.
Right.
Makes sense.
So rather than it being green, we're going to put,
you, Ryan Lemon, and everyone on the roof, painting it blue and white.
The roof is what got me hurt last year.
That's right.
No, this is the roof outside.
In the sun in July and August.
In August, yes.
Oh, that'd be great.
Hopefully in the middle of the day.
On a hot tar roof, I think it'd be great to be up there.
It's not tar. It's the, it's the on.
Wait, aren't there conspiracy theories about painting a roof blue?
Or have you not made it that far into the internet?
No, what are the conspiracy theories?
Like when there's been disasters, like houses with blue roofs have survived.
I think when maybe...
Oh, well, that's what we're doing it.
We're protecting KS Bar from the lasers.
There's go.
Great idea.
Is that really a conspiracy thing?
Yeah, look up blue roofs on the internet.
Shannon, is that a conspiracy theory?
That's one that's neutered to me.
Blue roofs?
I go to some weird places on the internet.
So blue roofs, they will not blow up.
Something.
They don't burn.
I don't believe it.
I'm just telling you this conspiracy exists.
Well, point is Ryan, you're going to be on the roof.
Yes.
the awning facing the road.
So not the top top of the road.
But that awning.
And it's green and kind of faded and not very nice.
We're going to paint it blue and white.
So it's like, you know, the first thing you see when you walk in, you want me in charge of painting that?
Well, it's not just going to be you.
It's going to be all of us.
Okay.
We're all going to go up there.
We're going to do it.
Mario's going to film it.
It's going to be a whole thing.
Are you excited?
I'm very excited.
Okay.
So anyway.
But the painting thing we need, like that's what I, that's what we need.
You're going to see that too.
You walk in.
That's kind of a big focal point area.
No, no, you'll be able to say, I did that.
Yeah.
You can write your little name at the bottom.
Oh, you certainly can write your name at the bottom.
But you're going to have to, like, paint it sitting there on the, like, you can't take it home with you.
You know what I mean?
You're going to have to paint it sitting there.
Can't take our pillars home.
Yeah, you're not going to be able to take our pill.
They're there.
So, Michael.
Go ahead, Michael.
Michael.
Hey, Matt.
Does Ryan have to hold down these donuts?
No. I mean, if he intentionally throws him up, he's out.
But if it happens, then, yeah, if it happens, I'm not going to punish him for being sick.
All right. Well, Ryan, you need to Google Bob does sports at a YouTube golf channel.
Bob, Fat Perez, and Joey Colcuts, they do a dozen of each in nine holes.
Let's just say two out of three of them are vomiting.
Donuts by the fourth and fifth hole.
I, Brian, I like you.
You know me.
This is Mike the mouth out on the party deck.
Oh, yeah.
I don't know, man.
Especially, you better be doing this in the air conditioning, too, because they're out of hot.
It's going to be hot.
It's going to be hot outside.
Oh, Matt, he's not going to do it.
Well, we'll find out.
Trust me.
Watch, watch, watch the, the, the,
36 hole 36 donut challenge in nine holes.
They're golfing itself.
I appreciate to call, Mike.
He's just going to be sitting. This is going to all his mental focus.
He's not going to have to play golf.
No motion sickness of the cart.
All mental focus right now.
If he throws up, that's an automatic disqualification.
Come on.
Can't throw up during the contest.
That's a DQ.
Maybe.
It is making more room.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Well, we'll see.
I'll have to think about it.
He has to eat the mess.
I'm just saying that's the rules.
After the 10, I think it's okay, but you can't do it during.
Okay, I'll accept that as a rule.
Matt, go ahead, Matt.
Hey, guys.
What's up?
Thank you.
Well, sitting out in my garden, meditating on this beautiful day out in the day shine.
After a long shift at the strip club, because I changed my name to the big, beautiful bill.
I'm glad you enjoyed the podcast.
I'm glad you enjoyed the podcast.
Oh, man. That was a great episode.
That really was a great episode.
Well, thank you very much.
You're getting better and better.
Yes, yes.
But I was wanting to tell you, I don't know if anybody said anything.
I know last week, I know this is a week old, but over the whole Somerset, Duke's a Hazard thing.
Why hasn't Hazard, you know, connected the dots?
Well, they used to.
I grew up in Hazard.
My dad was a, I hate to say this after I said, I was a stripper, but my dad was a Southern Baptist pastor.
Okay.
For many years at Hazard, I grew up there.
And every year at the Black Gold Festival, they would have the whole cast from Daisy Duke to the boss hog.
And they would all ride through the parade at the Blake.
Oh, that's kind of cool.
I didn't know they did that.
Well, they want to do it again, although I'm sure some of those people are dead now.
but uh...
I know
I mean that
after you said that
I was like why hasn't hazard
connected those dogs
well no that's good to know
well Matt's good to hear from you
thank you sir
I think they had
who were what was the characters
you had Bow and Luke
you had Daisy Dukes
you had boss hog
yeah
Cooter
Ross Gold Trees was that a person
Rosco P Coltrane
and there was a person named Cooter
yeah
Enis
Eness
yeah okay
yeah so
by the way I saw the city of Somerset
so the rumor I heard is they paid $30,000 for the thing
okay okay that's what I heard
but they sold the car they got the car at the end
sold it for $18,000 after it wrecked
yeah so they gave
someone paid $18,000 for after it wrecked
so that means they got over half their money back
so I think that is a great deal
that the city of Somerset got.
A lot of attention.
I was in Colorado.
I had on a hat that said Kentucky
and the bartender went,
did I just see the Dukes of Hazard car
flying through the air in Kentucky?
It's like all anyone want to talk about,
I'm far out of the state.
They want to know why we're doing it,
where's Somerset, what's going on?
So it got lots of attention
more than they probably even expected.
Yeah, I mean,
amazing amount of attention.
Yeah, it was worth it.
But they got eight,
would you have paid $18,000 for the wreck of the car?
No.
I wouldn't have.
I got an idea.
But good for the City of Somerset.
We take the car and we have it jump over KS Bar.
That's how we reopen.
We just reopen with the General League going over the time.
I think that's going to be a little far for that thing to go.

Jacob Kingston grew up in an isolated
polygamous sect. We were God's

So when a swaggering

Jacob into an extraordinary world, he doesn't look back.
Ferraris and Lamborghinis, private jets, meeting the president of Turkey.
I'm Michelle McPhee, and this is one of the most shocking criminal conspiracies I've ever come across.

You need to tell me what you know.
Is somebody coming after me?
Jacob told Levan, you're ruining my life.

Life throws hurdles big and small.
The question is, how do you conquer them?
On Hurtle with Emily Abadi, we sit down with the most inspiring women in sports and wellness,
professional athletes, coaches, and Olympic champions to talk about the challenges
that shaped them and the mindset that keeps them going.
From the WMBA standout, Kate Martin
and rising hockey star Layla Edwards.
If a boy can do it, I don't see why a girl can't.
Like, I've never understood that.
Like, it didn't make sense in my brain.
It's hard to be in spaces that no one looks like you,
but don't ever feel like you don't feel on.
Don't let that be the reason you don't do it.
An Olympic champs, Gabby Thomas, and Katie Ladeki.
The ability to show a gold medal to someone
and have their face light up and smile,
that means the world to me.
And that's what motivates me to,
to win more gold medals.
At our level, at this scale,
like being able to fail in front of the entire world.
Like, I can do anything.
I can do anything.
Because resilience isn't just about winning.
It's about showing up, even when it's hard.

So the blue roof thing is a thing.
It keeps out witches.
and fires.
Yeah, we don't need witches.
We don't need witches.
I'll tell you.
Nothing scares Mario more than saying the word wish.
He was convinced, remember when we were in Milwaukee for the NCAA
tournament and we went to that bar and he was convinced the woman in it was a witch?
No, Shannon.
I mean, he was convinced it was a person was a witch.
He wanted to leave because he was like that woman's a witch.
I thought he was just joking at first.
He was dead serious.
He was dead serious.
When I left, he was like, I want to go.
He didn't want any part of the sage.
Even right now, he's like,
serious about it. Like, you just don't, you, you, you really believe there are witches.
Yes, you did. Get on the microphone here just for a second. Yeah, come here. You, you really
genuinely believe there are witches. I do. I do. Why? It's in the Bible, man. You know,
witchcraft, all that, you know, all that stuff. But you thought that woman sitting in the bar.
She was definitely a witch. You thought she was going to fly away out of broom. You genuinely thought
she was a witch. What made you think she was a witch?
She had like the little cards on her little table.
Yeah, those are like tarot cards.
She's dressed up.
She was, uh...
Well, she didn't wear a witch costume.
Did you see her necklaces?
No.
It's like signs of like witchcraft and, you know, like, you know, that's stuff that I don't mess with.
I know you don't.
Like, you're very serious about it.
Do you believe in goblins?
You genuinely were like, we got to get out of here.
Yeah.
Well, he was the same way.
We went in Denver and that witchcraft house in Denver.
That place scared you too.
Oh, he was like.
like sweating. He was so nervous.
Well, I mean, I, I, in the bar, this woman was like sitting at the table next to us.
Yeah.
And you, you did not look comfortable.
Yeah, she was definitely a witch.
And the Denver, the Denver shop, that was even worse.
So then you should help paint the roof to keep them away.
I can help.
I can help.
I can help.
Well, thank you very much.
I appreciate it.
Are you talking about the woman with the Rubin Stutter tattoo and Clay Aiken tattoo?
She was the witch.
Remember her?
Oh, yeah.
She had one on each thigh.
I do.
Yeah, that's right.
I do remember.
I forgot about it.
Okay.
She did have a Rubin stuttered on one thigh and a clay achin on the other time.
Yeah, she did.
My favorite part of that is she wanted the Clay Aiken, but when she went to get his autograph,
Ruben was there and she's like, well, I couldn't not ask him to.
So she just got both.
She didn't want him to feel bad.
Yeah.
What a nice lady.
Those of you writing me with people on the text machine, send it on email.
Okay.
And a couple of you've written about burgers.
We are switching to the smash burgers.
Yes, we are.
So like we're switching and it'll be a lot better.
It's a lot easier to make those more consistent and better.
That's the key thing we're doing.
We're like, we got to make our food more consistent.
Because when it was good, it was really good, but sometimes it was inconsistent.
We're making it more.
And then we're adding stuff.
We're adding a signature nacho, some new appetizers.
And it should be good.
I'm really excited about our new stuff.
I'm too.
I'm excited.
I'm excited to get, I forgot.
I didn't realize how much I would miss it.
Because, you know, when you do something like that, it can be a little bit of a hassle.
it can feel like you're always like, oh, here we go again.
I've missed it the last few months.
Yeah.
So I'm looking forward to it.
Brian, go ahead, Brian.
Hey, real quick, fantastic show.
Always in the summer, it's always entertaining.
KWC professors.
So shout out to Ryan.
There's an artist.
There's an artist in Onsboro.
His name is Aaron Kaiser.
You can look him up, Aaron Kaiser.com.
Send me the info.
I can't have everybody called me with their artists.
Just send me the info.
Yeah.
Okay.
Okay.
I know Aaron.
He's a big UK fan.
He knows.
I understand, but I can't have everybody call them with their bios.
Just give me.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
I just moved.
Don't have Wi-Fi.
So that's why I'm calling.
Okay.
So I just want to mention that.
He's actually friends with the car answered and town.
I got to appreciate the call, Ben.
That's three times.
I can't because if you do it, then somebody else will do it.
And somebody, I can't turn it into bios.
I appreciate you listening and thank you.
But, like, can't do that.
I have one of his paintings.
in my house. So if we need to reach him, I can call him.
That's awesome. All right. Drew, go ahead. Drew, go ahead.
I was calling about an artist, too, but I'll be...
Okay, no, let's get on the artist. Email about the artist.
Yeah, what's the email?
What's the email?
Matt.com.com. And I'll tell you what's even worse. Thank you.
I broke my keys to do what I threw that down. Look at this.
Oh, your key foe, bro.
All right. Thank you.
Yeah. Thank you.
Thank you.
I put that together.
I just literally broke it back together.
Here, you.
You did break it pretty good, though.
Look at this.
I'm not going to be able to get in my car.
Go to work.
Let me see it.
Look at this.
Two callers made you so frustrated.
Two calls.
I just broke my keys.
Here you go.
I got you.
I just broke it in half.
Good.
Smooth move.
Am I going to be able to get back in my car?
Yeah, we'll get it.
We'll get it.
it working. I mean, you broke it more than I thought you broke it. I will say that.
They don't make things like they used to. No, they don't. Zach, go ahead, Zach. Matt, I have an
update in the Keith Whitley Tint Gate. Do you want to hear it? Sure, go for it. So my family is down in
Panama City Beach, staying about 20 yards away, according to my younger brother, from the Jesse
Keith Whitley tent. And I looked it up. Lori and Keith Whitley have a
son named Jesse and if you zoom into the picture from the Facebook group on that bridge
one of the guys is wearing a hat that says jkW on it so apparently there's the kids okay
that is also a performer interesting okay now that makes more sense it does Shannon left that part
of the story out I didn't know that she had a son named Jesse Keith Whitley I appreciate it
thank you very much that that does help quite a bit thank you yeah if he's if he's a performer
that's the tent they use at his performances now it makes sense
why they were using it on the beach.
I think you're still missing pieces of it.
I'm missing the
another, I don't know, did it just go everywhere?
Look behind the keyboard up here too.
Right there.
Right there.
It's out of peace.
On the ground.
They're on the ground looking for it.
We do this during the break.
I cannot believe.
It's pretty impressive how I already broke it.
I cannot believe I completely shattered that thing.
You have another one at your house?
No.
I think that's it.
You're at the Uber home.
I am going to have to Uber home.
I'll take you.
or to get a new key fob.
These things are really expensive.
They are all the way.
I had to get one once.
You get a number in mine?
No, it's a lot more.
There's something.
Yeah, we need that piece also.
There's something.
Let's go to Kevin.
Go ahead, Kevin.
Hey, I was calling to get you to repeat your email so I could send it.
Anyway, and you just did for me, but also had an idea for your weekend show after
Myron's comments with the fireworks this weekend.
Okay.
Your new name needed to be Sundays with Matt and Karen.
Okay.
Well, yeah, that was, Myron was, I appreciate the call.
Myron called the police on the people shooting fireworks in his neighborhood.
Called the police.
He called the police.
Because he said they were shooting fireworks too late at night.
It was 1115.
On the 4th of July.
He called the police.
On a Friday night.
On the fourth.
We'll take a break.
Be right back.
KSR.
T.J. Smith, personal injury attorney.
Call T.J.
He'll make them pay.
Now, more of Kentucky Sports Radio presented by Stockton Mortgage.
Here's Matt Jones.
I can't believe that thing broke.
It kind of shattered.
There were seven different pieces to that.
I don't even know how you get seven pieces to a key fob.
Now, you put it together.
Mario's going to go test and see if it works.
It was lighting up.
I'm confident.
It was lighting up, but it was beeping.
It was like flashing the whole time, though.
That worries me.
Yeah, I hooked you up on that.
That's a new feature.
It's a new feature when always flashes.
Yeah, it'll look cool.
Well, at least if I can just get it to the dealership.
To.
I don't know who that caller was.
It was Drew.
They cost me money.
Yeah, his name was Drew.
His name was Drew.
What person says, Matt?
It was not the caller.
It was actually witchcraft that caused you to do that.
It may have been.
We were talking trash about the witchcraft and maybe they fought back.
I'm ready for the next caller to also be recommending an artist when we need, obviously
need visuals to create these.
We're just getting names.
Also, it's not just, it's not good radio just to have people go, well, I know a guy named Jack.
Well, I know a guy named Mark.
He's a lifelong fan.
Yeah.
I mean, I just, I believe you that you know those people, but like, just email.
What's it got to do with your ability to paint?
But you're a life long fan.
Yeah.
All right.
So, you know, if you listen to interrupt about Matt Jones, you know, a common theme is Drew and I are becoming more and more scared AI.
Have you seen the story this morning?
No.
No.
Five different.
countries received calls from an AI bot impersonating Secretary of State Marco Rubio
and took the calls thinking it was Marco Rubio.
Wow.
First of all, how did they get their number?
True.
But secondly, okay, now that's another thing to start worrying about.
Right?
Like if you could create an AI to impersonate a world.
leader.
First of all, we got it.
We're starting.
We're going to have to have more controls to know it's them.
But Shannon, that's worrisome, isn't it?
Yeah.
Yeah.
You could take anybody's voice and make them say anything.
And all five of them, they got through a layer and then at some point the conversation
broke down and they realized, I don't think this is it.
Well, just to get to that point, you know, just to get to that point is scary.
Yes, it is.
Well, I think about, like, there's already videos of Trump.
Like, there's one.
It's obviously.
where he put Zelensky in the headlock, and that's obviously not real.
But if you could take a Trump video and just have him say something very serious and you're
not doing it as a meme or a joke and people believe it, you could get very reckless with that.
Yeah.
Him or anyone.
Anybody.
But the fact that like they called other countries world leaders and said Marco Rubio
online one and the call got through.
Yeah.
And the fact that they knew the number to call is kind of scary too.
You got to think the other countries have high security levels.
How did they get through these first couple levels to get to that point?
We're cooked.
We're cooked.
I'm with you.
There's a part of me, like, no one is taking, everybody's just full steam ahead.
And nobody's like, hey, is this, is this good?
It's a good way to start a world war.
I mean, you know.
It's crazy.
That story was worrisome to me when I saw it this morning.
859-280-2287 who's next. Carson. Carson.
Don't slam it down. Don't break it again.
You go ahead, Carson.
First time long time.
Who are?
We can tell.
What do you all think about, how do you think our next basketball season is going to go?
Appreciate the call.
Good. I think it's good. Go good.
I thought he's going to recommend a painter.
I was so excited.
I thought we were going to get an artist.
All right.
At least I know what I'm getting with Bob and Jamestown.
I know it's not going to be on topic, so I'm prepared.
This may be the most excited I've been for a Bob and Jamestown calling a long time.
Go ahead, Bob.
Okay, Matt.
Ryan accepted your donut challenge.
How about if he turns the tables and give you a pool challenge to do some laps in his pool?
Yeah, it's not going to happen.
You did the city walk recently, 16 miles.
about a pool challenge
I don't swim
I appreciate the call
I'm not a swimmer
but
but yeah
I mean I know
I know how to swim
but I'm not going to swim
we're going to do the show
like in the pool
like put the equipment on the side
no we're not doing that
it's a really bad idea
yeah with you eating donuts
electric and water doesn't work
electricuted in Ryan's pool
what a horrible way to go out
what an awful decision
there's electricity
going through that
and you want to stand in the pool
Do you want to hold up a lightning bowl while we do it too?
Throw the hairdry in there?
Yeah, let's just throw the hairdry.
Your last image is going to be Ryan eating donuts.
That's the last one you're going to see on Earth.
Before I go to the pearly gates, let me see Ryan with icing on his face and his shirt off.
And three random UK offensive linemen in the back.
That's not what I want at all.
Let's go to Thomas.
Go ahead, Thomas.
Hey, I think we should put one of the pictures.
be Dan Essel on one of those pillars because he holds the record for scoring that I don't
think will ever be broken because we'll never have anybody that kind of talent that we'll
keep for three years.
No, it's very unlikely.
Matter of fact, I would say the rebound, if you're looking at Kentucky records that will
never be broken, the rebound record is number one.
Like, go look, the rebound record is like some obscene number.
It's like 75,000 rebounds for a career.
Does it work?
All right.
Drew Franklin.
Well,
done.
Thank you.
That engineering degree.
That is pretty impressive.
You were able to fix that, Drew.
I'm not as dumb as I act.
Nice.
Well, thank you very much, Drew.
But like, because back in the day,
only one person for each team rebound.
Right.
So, like, if you go look, I'll pull up the rebounding records.
I have the career leaders.
Okay.
They're all pretty old except for Oscar.
So to use Oscars, an example.
How many rebounds of Oscar have in two years?
952.
Okay, who is the all-time leader?
Dennis.
In rebounds?
Yep.
How many does he have?
1,078.
Actually, Oscar wasn't two.
With another year, Oscar would shatter it.
Really?
Yep.
I thought like Bob Burrow had some...
Probably for a season.
I'm on career.
Bob Burrow has some crazy amount, doesn't he?
Well, this holds points and rebounds for sure of the program all-time leader.
Maybe Bob Burrow had a big year.
Bill Spivey had a big season.
What do he have?
567.
Okay, and who's the most, maybe I'm looking at season.
Who's the most in a season recently?
Oscar 515, low behind him.
Okay, well, then maybe I'm not as, maybe I'm wrong.
Oscar, if you take Oscar out, there's not many recent players.
What's the next one besides Oscar?
And Randall was what?
Low 400s.
He was over 150 shy of Bill Spivey's season record.
How much more was Oscar than Randall?
In one season, Oscar.
Randall played 40 games.
So he played, Oscar wouldn't have even.
20-something.
And so Randall played 40 games.
How many games did Oscar get?
He only got like 33 or something.
32.
So Oscar had eight fewer games and a hundred more rebounds than Randall.
Wow.
No, no, 20 more than Randall and several fewer games.
Okay.
Oscar's fifth for a single season, but everybody above him is your boy, Bob Burrow,
Cliff Hagan, Bill Spivey, and then Randall's seven.
Okay.
I don't, you know, we probably don't appreciate how good Oscar was on the rebounding.
Like when we talk about the greatest players, Oscar's going to be destined to be forgotten,
even though he was national player.
Yeah, we talk about people that should have their jersey retired or whatever.
We always forget Oscar, yet he had accolades as good as anybody.
You think he'll be remembered in 25 years for as good as he was?
No.
I think people are already starting to forget it just because the kind of the era that he,
a part of. He had 28 in one game.
People haven't done that since like the 50s.
He had 28 in one game.
Does that have the single game rebound?
Does he hold the single game rebound record?
I think there's one that's real old.
He can't be far behind it.
He pulled up.
Jared Prickett had one game.
We had like over 20 one time.
Well, while you're looking at that, let me do that.
Bob Burrow.
What would Bob Burrow have?
Actually, Bob Burrow and Bill Spivey each have 34 in a game.
But Oscar has games with 28,
25 and 24.
In the modern era, that's crazy.
In the modern era, that's an insane amount of rebroad.
The most recent on the list, that's not Oscar, is 1964.
Okay.
Well, they played fewer games back in the Bob Burrow era, too.
So anyway, hey, folks, for the first time, we got a full-blown all-women's boxing
mega-event, Shannon.
How about that?
All women the same night.
It's this Friday night.

Because people scoreboard watch.
Life becomes about wins and losses.
Steve Burns, Dustin Ross, because you find it important to be a good person while you hear on Earth.

Because that's two different intentions, bro.
Absolutely.

Welcome back.
It is Kentucky Sports Radio.
599-2-80-2287. Thank you to Drew for fixing that key.
You're welcome.
Hopefully it still works the whole time, but I appreciate it.
Before I go back to the phones, Shannon, take a deep breath before we go back to...
Oh, what?
No, no, no, the callers saying whatever.
Did you all see the disaster that was the Cubs game last night not on the field?
I don't know this.
So, first of all, the opening first pitch.
Did you see Alvin Kamar?
no, no.
Goes into the realm of worst ones of all time.
Nice.
Bounced it seven feet in front of him.
He's fortunate that the angle is not like it won't go as, but it was awful.
He asked for the ball back to do it again.
No.
That's why it's the first pitch.
You only get one crack at it.
Well, they gave it to him and he did better the second time.
But the first pitch is like the mayor of Cincinnati that one time bad.
Just awful.
Looks like it throws it straight down.
He throws it straight down.
down to the ground. Looks like it either slips out of his hand or whatever, Alvin Kamar.
Then, you know, if for Cubs people singing, take me out to the ballgame is the thing.
It's a big deal.
They got the call her daddy woman, Alex Cooper.
Alex Cooper.
Did you see it?
I did see it.
I saw this.
Yeah.
Oh, painful.
Yeah.
She had helpers.
She tried to do like a dance routine.
Yes.
And she also couldn't sing.
Correct.
It sounded like to me maybe she was even trying to do a hairy carrier.
her voice was like she dropped her voice really low it's awful and like they kept giggling
and by the end the crowd is booing her like out of the stadium booing because that's a big deal
you get to sing take me out to the ball game i'm sure she thought this will be funny
people will think it's cute didn't work as someone who's been booed by an entire major league
baseball stadium i will say it's pretty good adrenaline rush but that wasn't her best performance
Was it like Daddy Gang Day at Wrigley Field?
That's what they called it.
They called it Daddy Gang.
Yeah.
That's what they called the women that listen.
Yeah.
Wasn't the best showing.
Yeah.
She got booed out of the stadium.
If you got asked to sing, take me out to the ball game, would you do it?
Oh, yeah.
Wouldn't you be nervous?
Of course I'd be nervous, but I wouldn't turn down that opportunity to do it at
at Wrigley Field.
Yeah, but then you can just turn it over to the crowd too.
You can just start it out.
Take me out to the, and then just hold it out.
That's what you got to do.
Yeah, they take care of the rest.
First pitch is probably more.
I was there when Drew got booed at Cincinnati Stadium,
and he deserved every minute of it.
Loved every second of it.
They played that game again last night,
and Tall and I were at the game,
and we talked about you getting booed.
No one has ever played a game on the big screen
worse than Drew Franklin.
They started the game,
and he just froze up and just stared.
Yeah, I was waiting for the cards to flip over.
Straight ahead.
And the crowd, I mean,
mercilessly moody. That, by the way, was a disaster all the way around.
They bring us up there. It's me, Drew, Chris Tomlin, and Crixus.
Oh, yeah, that's right. The wrestler Crixus. Crixus just happened to be there,
walked on stage with us. Me, Drew, Chris Tavon, and Crixus. They start the game.
Drew is playing. He's supposed to say like Card 1 and Card 7 and match them. But Drew doesn't
understand the rules. I thought they flipped them all at once. I had to memorize it real quick
and then identify them. So I'm waiting for the flip. So the clock starts and Drew's just standing
there. Staring. Staring for like six or seven very uncomfortable seconds. I'm like, is the
flipper not ready? Let's go. And then finally I go, Drew say something. And then he's like,
number four. And then he gets no matches. Crowd is booing. The woman is like what. And then
Crixus grabs the woman's hand, takes the microphone, and tries to start cutting a promo.
He's like, I'm Crixus, and then they cut it off.
It was a disaster.
It was an absolute disaster.
I was like, Crixus, you can't be grabbing the microphone from people.
But he had never been to a baseball game.
He didn't even know where he was.
He didn't know you can't just grab the microphone.
He didn't know you couldn't just grab the microphone.
Drew's standing there like he's never even seen.
I'd still be standing there
if someone hadn't been like say a number
but see my thing
if I'd gone up there and gotten three out of four matches
we all would have forgotten an hour later
life would have gone on
this was brought up to me a week ago
we're talking about it now I made a moment
I made an event
it was KSR day and there were hundreds of KSR
fans and they booed you
we went back to our seats Ryan
and the KSR section
was booing Drew
my family booed me
it was terrible
it was for the content
Tom going to
head, Tom. Hey, Matt.
You all were discussing
Kentucky State kind of out of the radar at
media days and stuff, and that
made me reflect back to
when Stubbs asked all the fans the pony up.
Do you think
if he had an unlimited
budget, he would have been able to turn it around?
I mean, unlimited budget?
And he could get anybody? Yeah,
but if you're talking about, could he have, let's just
say he had Alabama and A&M's budget.
Yeah, I mean, could they be better than they've been?
Sure, but we don't.
And so, you know, there's a part of me, and I appreciate the call where you have to say,
okay, you take the Kentucky job, this is, this is it, right?
Like, this is what it is.
You know, you go manage the Florida Marlins.
You can't complain that they don't sign the players.
It's the Florida Marlins.
You knew that when you came.
But if they had Alabama and A&M's budget, would they be better?
Yeah, would they be as good as Alabama?
Probably not because Alabama has a tradition and all that stuff.
You know, so yeah, if we had more money, it'd be better.
If I had wheels, I'd be a wagon, right?
Like we are what we are.
We would definitely be better.
We'd get better players, but we're still way behind.
And like you said, the tradition in Alabama and Georgia's...
You go take the Murray State job.
You can't say, well, if we had the resources.
You're at Murray State.
You knew that when you took the job.
David, go ahead, David.
For you.
First of all, sorry, he's got out of the dentist chair.
And I didn't hear if you guys discuss this or not.
but first thing is for Ryan,
if he's going to do the 10 donut challenge
and you guys are going to raise money,
make it a fundraiser.
I suggest Ryan's favorite fundraiser.
We talked about that.
We did talk about that earlier.
But I mean, also like,
if we raise money,
he also has a right to keep it
because he's putting on a show.
If he wants to donate,
he can,
but he shouldn't be guilted in to donating
the money.
Well, Ryan's got a big heart,
so I know he would do something like that.
But anyhow, the other thing is,
I'm not sure if you guys come across this article
and known about from that big, beautiful bill,
whatever, did you know about how the gambling is changing
in regards to a few...
Yeah, no, it's...
Yeah, if you...
I appreciate the call.
If you end up losing money and gambling,
you can still owe taxes.
worst part of the bill.
Yeah.
So like if you bet...
So you get it if we win and they also get if we lose.
If you were to get a thousand dollars winning,
used to be if you lost $1,000 in another bet,
you could write it off and it's even.
Now if you lose the $1,000,
you still have to pay some of the taxes on the one you won
even though you lost later.
Really?
Yeah, it's terrible.
But, you know, the reality is it's complicated.
So a lot of people don't understand that.
But for people who are big into gambling,
they're really, really upset about it.
