there are people who are telling me the biscuits aren't even necessarily the reason to go. Oh, really? Like the biscuits are good, but how about the Wagyu, pastrami sandwich with egg. That sounds amazing. How about that? When's our next show in Louisville? Yeah. I'm going.

Yeah, I don't know. They say that what's one coming up actually? There's one that says every thing at Butchertown grocery bakery is good. I've never even had biscuits. Nice. So there you go. We may have just learned of a new place, Shannon, for us to try. I have my new spot.

Have you drank the parking lot, the strip club parking lot juice? I have not. No. Why not? Not intentionally. You were supposed to go get the strip club juice. Yeah. I went by it.

Didn't look like it was safe. What do you mean not safe? I had a different experience. I drove by it and there were five people in line. Dude, there's every, I've driven by it two or three times and I was like, I'm going to stop and then the lines to. Yeah. You've got this is, you, this is a job. But by the end of the weekend, go get the strip club juice.

I'm going to go during the day. When I went by at night. Yeah. Go when it's not busy. Yeah. Definitely. You take your lady. Oh, be date night.

Darling, it's time for some strip club juice. And it's got, they've got multiple flavors. They do. You can mix them all? Big jugs of it out there in the parking lot. And then like, make sure if you do it, video yourself drinking it. Okay. Be nice to the people.

Yeah. Okay. But this, I have been told, I kind of laughed at the strip club juice, but I've been told that it is surprisingly good. Like, like legitimately there are people in this town who get in their car and drive out there to get the strip club juice. It has to be. There's always people in line there. There's always people in line.

Yeah. I asked the woman at the McDonald's across the street. I was getting a Diet Coke. Yeah. And I asked her, tell me about the strip club juice. And she said, honey, I wouldn't try it, but people love it. Why wouldn't she try it? Yeah.

Well, she works at a high-end restaurant. Like, they can't be expected to do. do the strip club juice all the time. So I'm just saying. So out of the parking lot of the strip club is a safe place to get juice. I think you ought to try it. Now, a couple things before, I want to talk for a second about Pope talking yesterday. Did you see Shannon the story about the Delta flight from Minneapolis to South Dakota? No. No, I haven't seen this. So a plane, I saw this on TikTok and then the story came out today, but I saw the video on TikTok a few days ago. A Minneapolis plane takes off on its way to, is it Minow, South Dakota?

What's M-I-N-O-T? My-N-O-T. Is that what it is? I think so. My-N-O-N-A-N-A-N-A-N-A-T-O-D-O-T-O-T-O-T-O-T-E-N-E-R-E-N-E-Gre-Gre-L-F. And the video you see is he comes on afterwards and he's like, folks, I'm really sorry about that. that maneuver. Obviously, that's not normal. He says, a B-52 bomber flew by us and didn't tell us, and I had to make that move to avoid it. My goodness. Wow. How scary is that? And so now the story came out today that there was a military, is that right, B-52. Isn't that a plane?

Yeah, that was what was. I saw this. A B-52 plane was doing exercises, and I don't know if it wasn't on the radar. I don't know what, but like he literally looked up, saw it, and had to jerk it to get away. Oh, my goodness. Big commercial aircraft. They say in the article that he may have literally saved everyone's life. He's a hero. Because we almost had, think about that, a military plane hit a commercial airliner.

How awful. Again, I say this, Shannon. I feel like we'd keep getting more and more of this. And I don't know if it's just because on TikTok these videos get up now and so we see it. Or does it just feel like there's just more of it now? It feels like there's more. I don't know about the numbers if that's true or not. But that right there is terrifying.

Imagine being on that plane. You know, you're on a big plane and all of a sudden it just takes a 90-degree turn. It took a 90-degree turn. And you listen to the guy. You can see the video of him going, yeah, I'm really. sorry, but there was a B-52 and he said, just all of a sudden was coming right at us. Was that on its way up, like from the takeoff or was it like? It was on the takeoff.

That's even more scary because I hate the takeoff. That's the worst part for me. I mean, I don't think it was like at the take beginning, but it was like as he was, he was not at cruising altitude yet. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Wow. Yeah, I saw that too, the little clip. He's shaking up.

He says something like, this has not been a fun day at where you can hear. You can hear his voice quivering. He's like, this is not normal, but I do want you to understand what happened. Dude's a hero, man. See if you can find that audio, Shared. Because the audio, I don't know. And the people on the plane seem relatively calm. Now, that's one thing on the plane.

My second favorite thing on the plane is, did you see the guy Lil Nate? I have not seen Little Nate. All right. We can't play any of this. But if you want to be entertained, Go to TikTok. Wait, I have seen Little Nate. I'm sorry, I didn't place it upon the name.

And go on Lil Bates. So Lil Bates like got a flight to Denver. And the plane is not taking off. I guess it's delayed. I don't know why. And he is losing his mind. And there is like 20 minutes of video of this guy. I can't believe they let him go on and on and on.

He's put on a show. He, I cannot do it justice. I'm not even going to try. I'm just going to say to you, if you have like 15 minutes today and you have nothing to do, look up little Nate on the plane. It is, he is losing his mind. He is sitting next to a pilot who is just riding on the plane to like get to another place. And the pilot is trying to calm him down.

He will not calm down. He asked to go in first class. He asks for a phone cord. He gets up and says, I'm richer than you all. Can I have $10? Like, it is insanity. and Drew, I found it to be one of the more entertaining things I've ever seen. At the end, though, he tries to play hero.

He tries to convince the plane that he's doing them a favor. Like, he's speaking up on their behalf. And they're like, no, please just sit down. Please shut up. No, I'm going to get us out of this. And he's not getting anyone out of that. I think they're just delayed on the runway. Yeah, they're just delayed on the runway.

And he is acting like he is going to save everyone on there by the end because I think he realized he knew he had messed up. Well, he had messed up. And it is. He's a big fan of himself. Look at little Nate if you want it. And it goes on and on and it remains entertaining the whole time. Shannon's looking for the video.

I think I've got it here. I haven't listened to all of this. Well, listen to it and see. Okay. And then let me know. Before we do it, Malcolm Jamal Warner passes. Yes, I saw that. Very sad.

Died in the ocean. In Costa Rica. In Costa Rica, drown. How sad is that? I think he got caught up in a rip current or a bad current situation and 54 years old with his family on vacation and drowned. in the ocean in Costa Rica. It is hard with Malcolm Jamal Warner. It's hard to talk nowadays about the Cosby show.

Yeah. Because we know Bill Cosby was awful. Was awful. But if you go back to the 80s, that show was a huge deal. Biggest show on TV for a couple years. I mean, it was a huge deal. Huge. And, you know, Malcolm Jamal Warner was like the kid.

Yes, he was. Yeah. I mean, you had a lot of great episodes. You had the one where. he learns the value of money. You know, Cosby goes, are you planning to have a girlfriend? And he says for sure. And then he just takes all his money.

He says that his Gertrude Gattrell shirt that Denise makes for him. You know, and he wants a designer shirt. He can't afford it. So she makes it in the pocket's all weird and all that stuff. Adam Sandler played his friend on there. That's right. That was Adam Sandler's start in television. but it was very sad to see that because Malcolm Jimarr Warner, I feel like part of my childhood

there. Like I said, 54 years old with his family on vacation at Costa Rica. I mean, how awful. My heart broke for the family because they had to be probably there when it happened, you know, watching it. And those currents, rip current, riptile, whatever the exact terminology is, those can be terrifying. You think you're in a safe area and you can be a good swimmer, but they are relentless

if they get a hold of you. Very tragic way to go. Can you name the names of the people, the absolute? the actors and actresses on the Cosby show. Oh. All right. So obviously there's Bill Cosby. Who played his wife?

Phyllis Rishad. Not Phyllis. Felicia. Felicia Rashad. Well done. All right. So you got Malcolm Jamal Warner. Who were the sisters?

Lisa Bonnet. Lisa Bonay. Now can you name Sandra? No. I can't name Sandra either. Sondra would come and go. Yes, she would. She got married.

Yes. Who can you name Vanessa? Oh. No, I can't come up with it. Do you know it? Vanessa was. Hmm. It's on the tip of my tongue.

Who still to this day, the funniest scene I've ever. ever seen on TV is when she's singing. Yes. Baby! I know what you're talking about. The Rachel's a song? Yes. Laugh my butt off during that episode.

Who is Vanessa? I know it. Look it up for me, Drew. So you've got the thing there? Yeah, it's like a minute and a half. All right, just play a little bit of it. Go ahead. This is the pilot coming on.

Right hand side. You probably saw the airplane kind of sort of coming at us. Nobody told us about it. And so we continued on air traffic. There's no radar here. So the tower is controlled, or excuse me, the tower does everything visually. And so they said report about a six miles from the airport. So we did that.

I think he realized that the spacing wasn't going to work. And he said turn right. And I looked over and there was an airplane, which those of you on the right-hand side. I thought it was a small airplane like the one you see in the airport right now doing touching goes. and he said turn right and said there's an airplane over there and he says turn left and then at a time we read back the clearance looked over and saw the airplane that was kind of coming on

an inverging course with us and so given his speed it was a military I don't know how fast they were going but they were a lot faster to us and felt it was the same thing to do to turn behind it so sorry about the aggressive maneuvering and caught me by so he turns they tell him to turn left and he turns and sees a B-52 and then has to jerk it back right.

B-52 coming right at you at a billion miles an hour. Dude, that's good thinking right there. That guy saved a lot of lies. Clearly, people saw it out the window. Can you remember looking out the window, Shannon, and see a B-52 coming right at you? No, I can't. And that's why if I got the window, I'm putting the shade down.

I'm controlling. This is my window. I don't want to see what's happening out there. Tempest Bledsoe. Tempest Bledsoe. That's right. Andy, go ahead, Andy. RIP Malcolm, Jamal Warner.

Hey, just calling about the revenue, sharing. I'm kind of in between Shannon and Mario's opinion on that. I'm kind of thinking 10, 8, or 117 in basketball. I just don't really see the logic of taking Kentucky football and sacrificing great seasons for good seasons for Kentucky football. The number I guess I really want to basically find out is what's Kansas, North Carolina, Duke, Connecticut, St. John, all the top of your school, whatever they're doing, I want to do just a little bit more. And that would probably be my number.

That's a great question. I, you know, I appreciate to call. I think all these schools, all these schools need to tell their fans, right? I think in some of these conferences, all the conferences are agreeing together. ACC Media Day is today. There's a rumor that they're going to say today what every school in the ACC is doing. And every school has to follow? And that they're going to have a every school's got to do the same thing.

SEC, of course, Kentucky basketball was the one that vetoed. Yeah, right. The SEC wanted to do that and Kentucky basketball said no. No. Which makes you think, so back to the, is it 9-9 or 15-3? If the football people at UK are not mad, then I don't believe it's 9-9. But if it's not, if we vetoed the 15-3, then clearly we're not doing 15-3 or we wouldn't have vetoed it. Yeah, we spoke up about cap and basketball.

So it's got to be something in between. And could it all just be situational right now where maybe in this transition, football had so much locked in? So this one season, just because it's unique in the way the calendar worked out, it's a little heavy and then it'll get corrected a year later. We'll see. And also, they'll have to check. Like the Big East, that's a little different.

But if Duke is all in and they're just killing it, Kentucky will have to consider keeping up with that. You cannot just surrender to them. Andy makes a good point. what Duke, Kansas, North Carolina, what they do, we kind of have to do too. We are on our own thing. We can't really do what the rest of the SEC does. We almost have to do what Duke and Kansas do, which is weird because we're in a conference that's different than theirs.

Peter was a little chubby white kid that would get scared and run out of the house. Do you remember that guy, Shannon, the little chubby white kid? He was Rudy's friend. Yeah, I didn't watch it a whole lot, but I do remember him.

I loved that kid. All right. One little piece of news, Kentucky. reports are we'll resign with Nike for substantial amounts of money. The contract was to end after this year, expected to be an eight to 10 year deal with Nike. They got a ton of money from Nike last time. You've got to assume it'll be a ton again. Most schools are Nike, but not all.

Are you glad to see Kentucky back with Nike? Yeah, not surprised at all. Kentucky's one of their big college brands. glad it worked out. I would have entertained the idea of Apex with Pope being back if we wanted to go back to that. Apex. Yeah, bring back some of those uniforms. We were converse back then. Nike owns Converse now. So we're good. We're good there. But no, I think most Kentucky fans are pro-Nike outside of political aspects there. But I think we all like Kentucky being a Nike brand. It's been good for them. So I'm glad they're continuing it. Yeah. I mean, I guess they could have done

Jordan brand. You're not going to do Adidas because Louisville's that. I mean, you know, they could had gone way off the board and done something like Puma or something, but I think Nike makes the most sense. It's what Kentucky I think is known for, being on the Nike team. So I'm glad they were going to resign with them. And that's a good thing about being the basketball thing is that Nike wants to own the biggest brands in football and basketball. They have Ohio State.

They have Texas. They have Alabama. And then on basketball, they have Duke and they have Kentucky and they have North Carolina, which is probably what they care about. I remember this was years ago. a Louisville player that had just graduated at the mall in Louisville, and he was buying Nike's, and I made a little comment because I knew him a little bit, and he even said, I could not wait to get out of Adidas. So I think the players even prefer it to, at least on their feet.

I would think that they do as well. I mean, why wouldn't you? It's better. The Kansas City Royals tonight, Shannon, will start a 45-year-old man at pitcher. Rich Hill. They've called up to start 45 years old. He will be the third oldest starter post-World War II in baseball history. The other two, by the way, were knuckleballers. Charlie Huff, is that one of them? Charlie Huff and then one of the NECROs. So this will be the oldest.

No one Rine was like five days younger than Rich Hill. So this will be the oldest non-knuckleballer to start in the majors since World War II. I love it. I love the story. You know, the Disney movie, the rookie was about the old guy that ended up making in the big leagues with Tampa Bay Rays, I believe. How fast do you think a 45-year-old can throw, though? 45.

Can't go long. I would say he could throw upper 80s. And you can still get guys out throwing that speed. I go see, yeah, throws a lot of junk. Maybe it throws a lot of off-speed stuff. Yeah. Well, 45. So you've got to turn it on.

Watch grandpa, you know, go out there and throw. I'm pulling for him. That's a Ron Lemon story. Ryan might dust off his glove and see if he can go to it. I think I can still place in her field behind me. 45 years old. Have you seen that reminds me the Arkansas wide receiver this upcoming season is 30? They have a 30-year-old.

They have a 30-year-old at wide receiver. That's interesting. How was that one guy? You remember when Florida State had the quarterback who was like balding and he won the Heisman? Chris Winky. Chris Winky. Yeah. How old was he?

It couldn't have been near 30, but I'll look that up. I remember Winky very well. I think he was like late 20s or something, wasn't he? He was old. I mean, these players keep getting older and older. I mean, our quarterback's pretty old. We're going to have this year. I mean, Max was like 36 is our punter when he was here.

Yeah, I think Max was just shy of 30, but to be 30 playing wide out in the SEC, that's pretty unique. Well, we'll see. Madison, go ahead, Madison. Hello, Matt. How are you doing today? Doing good. How many questions do you have? I got two.

from back when you called a lot. Remind people how old you are, Madison? 35. 35 years old. So this is 35-year-old, Madison. Go for it. I got two things. One, with the 12th team,

we got, I think we got 12 teams in the SEC, and we're projected to finish 15th out of the Madison, there's not, if we were projected 15th out of 12 teams, that would be bad. There are 16 teams and we are projected 15th. Do you think out of the 16 teams that they are in the SEC, UK football goes to a bowl? And then number two, how cool do you think it is? is for Mark Pope to face his former coach at St. John's and Rick McKenna.

Well, it's going to be great. We're going to be at that game in Atlanta. That's going to be part of our KSR road trip this December. Yeah, I don't think we're going to make a bowl. I wasn't here when they picked. They picked Kentucky 15th out of 16. Was that unfair? Probably not when you look at the roster in the other teams.

I think that's probably pretty close. It's like my line in wrestlers. God for Mississippi, you know, because they were 16th, Mississippi State. You think 15th is where we should be? I think that's where just about everybody expected it to be. So I agree. I didn't go, but if I had a vote, unfortunately, I probably would have had us at 15th, too. We're beating Vandy. I said this while you're gone. I didn't drink the grateful Kool-Lade with Ryan. I'm still in a low point, but I am leaning towards betting over four and a half wins on draft Kings. There we go. I have it in my cart. I just haven't hit

submit yet. The most successful preseason stats the last five years in picking wins. Okay, if you look over history, they've been the most dead on. They have Kentucky at 4.7 wins. Right at it. Right at the number. 4.7 wins. Now, it's hard to win.

0.7 of a game, Shannon. Well, I feel like we've done it. We've had teams on the ropes and then you lose the last quarter. Yeah, maybe so. Do you think 15th was right, Shannon? No, no. I think they're a little bit higher than that. I wouldn't go too much higher, but I think they're going to be

not, they're going to be bad, but not that bad. Mississippi State must be really bad. I think worse than the 15th place is one person on any of the teams, and it was our punter, all third team. On the third team. I mean, we didn't have anybody get recognition outside of him. Our zero toughness punter. But clearly they got his toughness wrong if he's third team.

He's going to be good. We're going to have a good puner. I agree. We haven't had a really good punter since Max. Right. So we're going to have a good punt. He's going to get a lot of opportunities to show that leg off. Maybe on the field a lot.

He's going to get a chance. We might have be one of the first schools to win two-time national punter of the year in like five years. He played for Billy Gillespie and he is still playing basketball. He did play for Billy Gleck. So if he was 18 in 2008.

Yeah. So if he was 18, he played one year for Gillespie, right? So if he was 18 in 2009, then I guess that means he's 33, 34. He did, he hit a corner three and he had a, oh, he took a big charge. I was like, DeAndre Liggins out here. Still taking charges. This is TBT. What about Duran Lamb? He wasn't in when I was watching.

I'm a little worried, same with Liggins about our legs and our conditioning. But so far. I did see Duran does not look to be in great condition. He does not. But I think he went 0 for 2 to start the whole tournament. But outside of that, he's been pretty money. So, Duran, when he's open, we're counting on it. This is where we could really, Shannon, use a jessor.

They had a good crowd Sunday, so I think it'll be a better crowd tonight. Yes. And then if we win, we probably play sideline cancer. And it's at historic Memorial Caussown. I actually think this team we play tonight from my very little research is better than the team we would play the next night. So I think if they win this game, they have a good chance of making the final four, I think. Yeah.

The path opened, you could say. The one seat has been knocked out. Because the Beheim group lost as well last night. The Syracuse team. Baham's Army. Beahams Army, which they've won the tournament before. They lost last night. To start the tournament, I think Kentucky had the fifth best odds.

so there are four teams that they thought had a better chance. Now Kentucky's first. So I don't know if it's teams that they're out or we've seen a little bit of sample size. So it's a big one. You could argue this is the toughest game they have, at least maybe until the finals. Although also in our path is Best Virginia, which has Trey Mitchell. It's right. Trey Mitchell Williams is on that team.

So does anybody... More like Trader Mitchell. Okay, so that's what I was going to say. Does anybody, are they not happy that Trey Mitchell's playing for Best, Virginia? When I saw he's playing for them, I wanted him to call. Sweet Meemaw, who remember the Huggins? Oh, yeah. That's right.

It's where every county in Kentucky competes to have the best project that either helps their community or their school. And there are three levels you have to get through to get to the finals. and I was just wondering if y'all knew what that was. No, I didn't know about it. And one day we'll talk about it.

But he's not on it now. But he must have been the glue guy because they're having problems. As soon as he leaves, they have problems. Apparently, there's only five of them, Shannon, and apparently they fight all the time. Apparently the five of them don't like each other. So the school board paid to bring in a person to help them get along. Oh my. Like a counselor.

No, I'm not kidding. This was in the newspaper. They paid somebody to help the Fayette County School Board have team building. Oh, boy. All right, because the five of them, they're not getting along. And they're like, look, this is for the kids, Shannon. So they brought in somebody to do team building. And they were going to have a retreat where the five of them go off together and get to know each other.

See each other as more than school board members, but see each other as human beings. But one of them, Amanda Ferguson, says, I'm not going to your team building session. she says I'm not interested. So they did a story. And they said, Amanda, why are you not going to the school board session? And her quote is, why would I go? No one speaks to me. Oh, wow.

That's why you go to build that connection. So no one will speak. So I just want to, I got nothing against the school board. I'm sure they're all wonderful people. I went to my friend swearing-in ceremony. So I've seen some of them there. But the people that are. in charge of your children's schools. A, fight so much they need to have a session to go hash

it out. And B, won't go, Shannon, because they don't talk to each other, like they're in a school cafeteria. When you first said this, I was wondering, is it divided up like three versus two? But it sounds like it's all five individually that don't like each other. It sounds like they just all personally can't get along. Five people and none of them can get along. five people and they can't get along. I need a reality show where they're in a house. When school boards stop being polite and start getting real, put all of them together and I want to see all the drama.

But how bad, like, how bad could it be where she's like, I'm not going, they won't even speak to me. But that's the whole point of this. Exactly. You need to go. So here's five adults in charge of our schools and they're asking like, acting like little fourth graders. Do we need a school board for our school board?

do we need to go outside and hold hands and they need one of those ropes where they all hold on? So I texted my friend that was on it and was like, you were the glue guy. He was. You were the one that kept these people together, Shannon, and he leaves, and it all falls apart. We've got to bring him back.

We need to bring him back. He's the one that talked to Amanda. They need him back. He was the only one that would speak to Amanda. So good luck to Amanda and the school board. I hope you all can find a way to get along. Good for Amanda. for standing up for herself. They're not going to talk to her.

I really think the university is doing the fans of disservice. I know they can't do the Rupp seating any different because of the donors, but they need to do an exhibition, some sort of scrimmage or game with the men in Memorial.

That's all I got. I agree with you. I mean, you see it even with the TBT crowd. And the TBT games are not even full. And the crowd is just extremely loud. I'd love to have a game in Memorial. One of the exhibition games, I think it would be awesome. We did a blue-white game last year.
